New Story: Frames of War · 8:23pm Nov 30th, 2022
Hey pones, quick update here! Just wanted to share that a new story has finally made it to Fimfiction, Frames of War! This one was a real passion project, since I've been a fan of Warframe for ages. I adore the story, and I've always thought it would make for an interesting subject to cross-over with MLP.
The premise for this adventure was simple: What if the colony the Sentients built in Tau was actually Equestria?

Everything else in this story follows from that premise, along with Warframe's own world and mechanics. For example, our "pony tf" in this case is piloting a pony-shaped Warframe. The story also revolves around the infested faction, and we have some great art for what some of those look like. Truly body-horror hideous, as appropriate.
In the story description it sounded like you were saying that those of us not familiar with Warframe (like myself) would find it confusing. If that's the case, should we steer clear?
Ooh, fascinating. And horrifying. Reminds of some plans I had for a since-abandoned Magic: the Gathering crossover. This should be fun.

I'd say you should know after 3 chapters whether or not it will bother you. After the first chapter, the remainder of the story takes place in the Equestria we know, but does use a perspective character from a setting you will know nothing about.

I have no clue what Warframe is about, and I didn't have any trouble following the story or understanding the concepts.
Is this gonna contain spoilers for Warframe? I've played some years ago, but I'm not up to date (and I've already been spoiled a bit, I know there something fishy going on with the Lotus, but I don't know what exactly and I'd like to stay in the dark for whenever I might decide to pick it up again).

If you haven't played through the quest called "The War Within" you should put the story aside until you have. There are little minor things here and there, but that's the big one.
