I write pony words. Millions of them. Some people actually think they might be worth reading. I am very thankful for that. Also, I have a Patreon now?

    My birthday

Today I turned 32. For reference, when I started on this site, I was a simple college student. Now I'm married with 4 kids. Time does fly.

    So...

As many of you well know, I'm a father of three. A four-year-old, a two-year-old, and a one-year-old. It's pretty great. Can be difficult, but overall a pretty big blessing. How my wife takes care of three kids five days a week is beyond me, as I have a hard time taking care of them two days a week when my wife goes off to work.

    So yeah...

    Editing help

Yes, I'm calling out for editors again. I want to submit a story to the Cozy Glow contest, and I want to make sure that the story I just wrote for it is good, or "wow, that's a jumbled mess of ideas, far too mean, and the ending is terrible."

Let me know if you'd like to help. Any extra eyes would be highly appreciated.

Two big announcements · 11:07pm Nov 21st, 2022

First one good, the second one maybe probably good eventually. The first one, look at what I have!

Her name is Shea, and she was born perfectly healthy... after a 90 minute labor. My wife and I live about 45 minutes from the hospital we wanted to give birth at, so her and the kids went down to her parents' place for two weeks so she could be ten minutes away, not 45. Shea, like all of my children was born a few days late. I got a call at about 3:30 in the morning and knew exactly what it was before I answered. I woke my brother up and rushed down to the hospital. It was right as I was going through security that my wife called again and said "so... do you want to cut the cord?"

I'd missed it by mere minutes. Curses. But it was fast. The doula we hired didn't even get there in time. My given that kid one was 6 1/2 hours, and kid two was 3 1/2 hours, and now kid 3 was 90 minutes, my guess is that kid 4 is going to be 45 minutes and we'll just have to live at the hospital for a few weeks.

Either way, she's perfectly healthy, and pretty chill all things considered. Very cute.

Now for the next thing, and this one is very stressful. Tomorrow I'm getting brain surgery. Yep, you read that right. Any long time follower of mine knows that I'm an epileptic, and we've tried many medications to varying success. Now we're doing surgery. it's called an RNS surgery. Very basically, a battery and wires that send shockies to my brain to stop seizures. Within a year it's projected to reduce them by 50%. Year 5-6 show 80% reduction. If this works... everything will change.

Either way, lots going on. I'm still trying to write, and I get a few paragraphs of stories I haven't updated in a while here and there, alongside a new one I think you guys will like. But yeah. Surgery and baby.

His brain might be throwing sparks and error notices, but that other part apparently makes up for it. Let's hope that surgery doesn't switch that :rainbowlaugh:.

I've worn a pony shirt for all 3 of my kid's births. 2/3 that one.

Take it easy man, we will be here when you are healed and ready to go, i wish you luck with the surgery and congrats on the little one.

Totally congrats!
Yeah, I remember racing down the freeway at largely more than the posted speed limits to get my wife and to the hospital with our last birth. We were only 20 minutes away, but even with the late hour, largely insane speeds, and incredible luck we got there just in time. I was literally signing the papers in the room while the Dr. who had just scrubbed up as we got there caught our daughter and cut the cord. :rainbowlaugh:
So my hats off to you in your prudence to spend those last few weeks much closer to the hospital. :raritywink:

What a beautiful addition to the world.

❤️❤️ Congrats!

Congratulations and wishes of a speedy recovery

Interesting, hope that surgery goes well for you and you get the results you want.

I have Generalized Dystonia, that affects my legs, hands, and neck/torso. By 2013 I was curved into a C shape, and my head was parallel to the ground. That year I had a Deep Brain Stimulator put in. Years later, neck is mostly straight and no torso twitches at all. I was warned not to expect much help for my hands, as that is a little too specific a target,

My best advice is go rechargable if you can. Don't be afraid to go as high voltage as you can tolerate.

On a humorous note, during the sessions before the surgery I asked how introducing MORE electricity to an electrically overactive brain would help? The doctor kinda shrugged and said "We don't know WHY it works, just that it does."

Congratulations and best of luck with the surgery.

Wow. Good luck with everything!

Congratulations on children, and good luck with the brain zapper! I really hope it helps.

Having dealt with comparable challenges myself.... I wish you the very best of luck good sir. Both for your new short stuff, and the surgery. :)

Omega 3 Supplements will help aid the healing process from the surgery, and possibly help increase tye efficacy of any meds you may still need to take omce all is said and done, helping stabilize your levels and everythingto boot. Something I learned from my own neurologist back in the day. :)

Hope your recovery is going well and your holidays will be full of joy and happiness.
