Anthropomorfic or Anthro means an animal that has a humanoid shape (aka bipedal) and traits, such as the ability to speak. So this use of anthro is correct. The MLP:FIM cartoon is a case of personification, where animals and objects are given human traits and features but remain quadrepedal.
