After Sonic rescues Knothole from Dr. Eggman after a brutal defeat, he and several other Freedom Fighters are thrown through the multiverse to a land that is inhabited by quadripedal ponies and where chaos is absent, for the most part at least.
After being severally beaten at the hands of Dr. Robotnik, AKA Eggman, Sonic and his remaining Freedom Fighters undertake a daring rescue mission to save the citizens of Knothole. But just when things seem to clear up, Sonic's Freedom Fighters, Knuckles Chaotix, and several airships from the Egg Fleet are thrown into a peaceful world that had sealed itself away from the rest of the multiverse. With new rules to play by, new allies on each side, and no visible way of getting home, how will the Hero's of Mobius and there new friends fare against the Eggman Empire.
The blue hedgehog skidded to a stop as he watched the cyan Pegasus dive head first towards the ground. The Pegasus picked up speed as she neared the ground and the hedgehog noticed the familiar cone of the sound barrier surrounded the mare. A dozen feet above the ground, the mare shot towards the horizon and the sound barrier exploded outward, creating a rainbow within it that followed the mare as well. The hedgehog flinch a little as the sonic boom reached his ears.
"Well, you’re certainly full of surprises, aren't you?" The hedgehog grinned. "Let's do it to it!" The hedgehog blasted off after the Pegasus, creating his own sonic boom in the process.
My name is Sonic the Hedgehog. For some reason, the Knothole Freedom Fighters, the Chaotix, and myself were sent to this world that the locals called Equestria. We didn't come alone, though. Several ships from Dr. Eggman's Egg Fleet followed us and crashed into the far side of the forest that were currently residing beside, and a base has been set up from the wreckage. How did things end up like this? Well, I guess that I should start from that day: The day Eggman destroyed Knothole. The day that he almost took away everyone I ever cared about. That's the day everything changed.

Sonic sat on the couch in the middle of the base’s recreation room, as he slowly plucked at the strings on his guitar. Beside him, Vector and Mighty were busy playing some combat video game, trying to gain the upper hand on one another to no avail. Sonic smiled to himself as he enjoyed the down time he barely ever got these days.
"I say he's been gone too long!" The loud familiar voice of Knuckles filled the room as the red echidna walked through one of the doorways, followed closely by Julie-Su and Rouge who hung back by the door. "We need to go out and look for Espio!" He said worriedly.
Grabbing hold of one of Knuckles's arms, Julie-Su leaned into the red echidna's shoulder. "I'm sure he's fine, hon." She assured him. "You know he'd be mad at us if we did go looking for him."
Knuckles gave a little sigh as the pink echidna snuggled up to him. "I don't want to insult him, Julie, I know he's talented, but I can’t shake the feeling that something bad has happened."
Rouge smiled mischievously from the door before flying over to the pair and landing next to them. "Never doubt a Guardian’s intuition." The bat said as she grabbed the red echidnas other arm and pulled him to her and away from Julie-Su. Julie scowled at Rouge, who grinned smugly in return, before returning her attention to Knuckles. "You and I can go and look for Espio."
"You'd do that Rouge." Knuckles gave the bat a hopeful smile.
"She'll do anything." Julie-Su growled.
"Watch it pinky." Rouge glared at the pink echidna.
Listening to the exchange from the couch, Sonic let out a soft chuckle as he continued to strum a song on his guitar that he would normally play on an acoustic. "Whoo boy." He shook his head in amusement.
"I guess it’s a good sign that we can afford a little banter lately." A familiar voice came from beside him. Looking over, he saw his childhood friend walked in from one of the other doorways.
"Things have never been better, Sally." Sonic continued to pluck at his guitar.
"You wear pink!" They heard Julie-Su yell from behind them.
Leaning back on the couch's arm, Sonic smiled. "Knothole is a booming little city. We've got a sweet little home-away-from-home here in Freedom HQ."
"Families are reuniting after so much time apart." Sally continued as she leaned over on the back of the couch. "The monarchy is young and strong, while the villains are on the decline. We've already got some of the worst locked away safely." She grinned as she watched Charmy and Saffron cheered on Ray, as the young squirrel threw a dart at a picture of Dr. Eggman that was pinned to a dartboard. The squirrel scored a bullseye, hitting the doctor in the nose. "At this rate, we'll topple Eggman’s empire in no time."
"We’re just shy of perfect." Sonic let out a small sigh. "If only Tails..."
"What about Tails?" Sally asked as the yellow fox walked passed to the other side of one of the doorways.
"I get the feeling that he's keeping something from me, that's all."

Sitting at a computer monitor, Tails brought up a program for a routine check on Freedom HQ's systems. The fox raised an eyebrow as he noticed the program take considerably longer than normal to start. "Are you okay, Nicole?" Tails asked the computer.
"I believe I am fine." an electronic female voice said through the monitor’s speakers. "But, I will run a diagnostic now, just in case."
"Good idea. We don't know if Snively did anything to us before he left." Tails agreed as he accepted a warm mug of coffee from the walrus beside him. "Thanks, Rotor."
"Sure thing, Tails." The walrus gave Tails a friendly smile. "Speaking of running diagnostics on yourself, it’s been a rough few weeks for you buddy. Fiona leaving, Tommy... y'know. And, then you and Sonic have been kind of at odds."
Tails stared into his mug as he thought to himself. "I'll admit, it’s been hard to take. It’s been hard to prove myself as a Freedom Fighter, and harder still to fail to protect them..."
Rotor gave tails a worried glance. "Tails, you didn't fail..."
"And, never mind Sonic." Tails brightened. "I finally have my family back and I still have my friends near me! I'll be fine."
Rotor cocked an eyebrow. "If you say so!"
"Diagnostic complete," Nicole's electronic voice rang out. "System Compromised! We're Under Attack!"

A large, deafening crack sounded throughout Freedom HQ as part of the ceiling of the underground complex was ripped out of place. Looking up, the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix spotted a large green robot. Two most noticeable features were the shoulder blade, which had an ornamented wing-like structure pointing upward, and a head that seemed to almost resemble that of an ant. The pointy nosed Snively could be seen through the cockpit’s glass top, piloting the metal behemoth.
"Knock-knock, my friends." The Overlander cackled.
As debris fell down from above, Rotor quickly dived and pushed Tails out of his seat, sending the young fox tumbling away from the falling rocks that crashed down on the walrus. Landing and spinning on his heels, Tails turned to help his fallen friend, but was instead met with the sight of the walrus being hit by a bright yellow beam and being ripped apart until nothing of him remained.
"Rotor!" Tails cried, horrified from the sight that he had just witnessed.
In the next room over, Rouge, Julie-Su, and Vector were hit by the same type of yellow beams that had taken out Rotor, and they too were ripped apart as well. "Just like fish in a barrel!" Snively laughed maniacally.
"Sn-Snively just v-vaporized..." Sonic stuttered as his mind tried to catch up with the events that had just happened in front of him.
"Just what in tarnation is happenin’ out here?!" A rabbit in a worn jacket yelled as she rushed into the room followed by her coyote husband.
"Bunnie!" Sally called to the rabbit cyborg who had just appeared in the room to see what was happening. "Get him outside and give us some room!"
"Ah'm on it, Sally girl!" Bunnie activated the jets in the soles of her mechanized feet and flew off towards the green robot.
"Oh, I think I can handle you!" Snively smirked as he grabbed the cyborg out of the air by her mechanized arm. Raising the other arm of his robot, Snively shot off a flurry of beams at the other Freedom Fighters.
"Sonic, I want you to..." Sally started to order, before she was struck by one of the beams.
"Mighty, help me!" Ray cried out as he too was struck by the beams along with Charmy and Saffron.
"Monstre!" The coyote cried as he charged at the robot, sword drawn, but like the others, he hit by a beam.
Snively then turned to the struggling rabbit that he held in his grasp. "I suppose I shouldn't separate the newlyweds. Brace yourself, Bunnie. This burns, a lot." Snively smiled evilly as he vaporized the cyborg in his clutches at the same time Mighty delivered a uppercut to Snively's robot enraged.
"What’s going on?" Amy asked as the pink hedgehog ran into the room.
"Rotor! Sally! He blasted...!" Tails blubbered as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"Let me at him!" Knuckles yelled as Sonic tried to hold the echidna back.
"Everyone stand back!" Sonic grunted as he held down the echidna. "Mighty's lost it! And you do not want to be in the middle of that."
"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO RAY?!" Mighty bellowed as the armadillo ripped off one of the now severely dented robot arms. He then swung the severed arm at the robot, sending it reeling backwards. "He could never hurt you! I told him I'd keep him safe! And you go and vaporize him."
Landing on its back, Snively raised the robots remaining arm and snapped off a quick shot, hitting Mighty and vaporizing the armadillo, along with the severed arm he carried. "Fine! I don't want you to feel left out!" Snively yelled. Behind him, Sonic was just climbing out of the pit and witnessed Mighty's demise.
"Oh man...now we go!" The hedgehog started to sprint at Snively's robot.
"So will I, since my work here is done." Snively pressed a red button in his cockpit, causing the upper portion of the robot to detach and fly off. The lower half exploded, sending Sonic flying backwards and causing the hole in the ground to cave in. "After all, I was just the distraction." Snively cackled as he flew off
Lying on his stomach, Sonic watched as the pointy nosed Overlander escaped. "Just the distraction?" Sonic asked himself.
"Sonic!" a muffled voice came through the rubble that had filled the hole. "He must mean that Dr. Robotnik is attacking Knothole. We're okay in here! Go save our families"
With that, Sonic got up and dashed off in the direction of Knothole. "Don’t worry guys. I’m fast enough to get there in time to save..." Sonic started as he ran over the small hill that separated Freedom HQ and the small city, "...everyone..."
The sight before the hedgehog was overwhelming. Across the landscape was complete devastation. Everything was burning as a fleet of airships hovered over the city, and whatever wasn't on fire, simply no longer existed. As the hedgehog ran through the burning city, he could spot the areas where places that had been important to him were now barren. "... Uncle Chuck’s diner... the Lake of Rings... my neighborhood... my house... it's all gone!" Looking off into the distance, the only structure that the hedgehog saw that was still standing was Castle Acorn. a small flame of hope burned within the hedgehog as he sped towards the structure. "I bet Elias got everyone into the castle! They'll be safe there! I can get there and help hold off the invasion." The flame within the hedgehog grew a little brighter.
And then, it was extinguished as the castle exploded into a sea of fire. Sonic skidded to a stop as his heart skipped a beat. "No... NOOO!!"
"It's about time you showed up, rodent." A voice emerged from the flames. Sonic watched as a large shadow moved its way through the inferno that was once Castle Acorn.
"Robotnik..." Sonic shook with a mixture of rage and fear. "Everyone I ever cared for... my family... my friends... you... they're."
"Captured, Sonic." Eggman said plainly as a new robot emerged from the flames, which seems to be model to look like its creator. Spikes were covering on its mecha boots, shoulders, and head. It also had a large shield on its left arm and a checker-colored wrecking ball equipped on the other arm. On its back were two bizarre looking devices, its purpose yet to be discovered.
"Snively and I used an advanced teleporting beam, much like the one I used on Mammoth Mogul and his crowd. They've been teleported to my Egg Grapes. There it will all end."
Sonic stood up straight and glared at the robot now that he realized what had truly happened. "Nice try, doc. Snively didn't zap me. I get to save the day like always." The hedgehog proclaimed, pointing at his chest with his thumb.
"Silly boy," Eggman smiled from inside the robot, "I told Snively to leave you for me!" A barrage of missiles launched from the robot’s back and angled themselves towards the blue hedgehog as the checkered ball dropped from the robots arm, still connected by a metal chain.
Watching Sonic dodged the missiles with relative ease, the doctor continued. "I'm surprised that you still retain your confidence after so many failures. Or did you forget what happened to Tommy Turtle and Sir Connery?"
Eggman eyed the hedgehog as Sonic started to use the missiles as foot holds, making a mad dash for the doctor. "You were never able to deroboticized your friends and family without the help of those blasted aliens. And, even then, your father is still a robot." Sonic jumped off a final missile and curled into a ball, diving straight at the doctor. "Or, how about your love life? Sally, Mina, even Fiona abandoned you for your evil doppelganger." Eggman raised the robot’s shield. "So, how come you’re all alone?"
"Shut up!" Sonic snapped, launching into and bouncing off of the shield multiple times.
"That’s it?" Eggman sounded disappointed. "That’s your witty comeback? Please, Sonic, I want our last game to at least have some merit."
"This is a game to you?!" Sonic yelled as he launched himself at Eggman’s robot once again.
"You actually thought that your pithy resistance had some type of toe-hold against my empire?" Eggman slammed his shield against the spinning hedgehog. "The world fell to me so easily, that I was left with nothing to do! I allowed your Freedom Fighters to exist so that I might entertain myself!" Eggman then swung the checkered ball down, aiming it to land on top of the hedgehog.
"Liar!" Sonic dodged, and sprinted away from the ball as it was swung sideways at him. "You've tried, and failed, to beat us in the past."
"I will concede, you all have won my little war games more times than not. But so what? Is Mobius any more free now than it was years ago?" Activating rockets in the robot feet, Eggman flew off after the speeding hedgehog. "That is why King Maximillian's attempt to rally support failed. The rest of the world knows I own and control them."
Looking back at the robot pursuing him, Sonic yelled. "They would've called us for help if...!”
"They knew you were powerless Sonic. That's why they never asked for help." Eggman fired from his robot at the blue hedgehog, who promptly spun out of the way. "Which is why they never warned you about this!" With another swing of the ball, Eggman nailed sonic, drawing a loud cry from the hedgehog and sent him flying into the ground.
"Get up, rodent. I'm not done with you yet." Eggman approached the hedgehog, swinging the checkered ball above the robot. Sonic struggling to get up, before performing a Jump Dash at the robot, but fruitlessly bounced of the shield again. "HAHAHA! Ah, your futile actions amuse me so. You'll never win this battle Sonic, you can't."
"Keep talking big doc! I'm not done yet!" Sonic said as he uncurled his body and landed.
"You were finished before the Egg Fleet even began bombardment. This battle suit is specifically designed to match and outclass your speed and strength!" Eggman gloated as he swung the ball once more. Sonic jumped and dodged the ball, but was quickly picked out of the air by one of the robot’s laser cannons.
"The only reason you can take this much punishment is because of all those magic rings you once collected. Which means I get to toy with you longer than should be reasonable!" Swinging the ball from below, Eggman caught Sonic in the chin, sending the hedgehog into the dirt. "I've studied you all your life, rodent. We've reached your limit."
"Limit? LIMIT?!" Sonic gave Eggman a furious smile as something within the hedgehog snapped. Sonic took off in the opposite direction of the Overlander, and was gone in the blink of an eye.
"Egad! Snively! Track the hedgehog via the Egg Spy Satellites. Where did he go?"
"Tracking now, sir." Snively's voice crackled over the radio. "He's... He's moving a lot faster than you calculated he could."
"Nonsense! Just get me his location!"
"H-he..." Snively stuttered.
"Where, Snively? Where?!"
"He's already on the east coast!"

Silenced reigned over the beach as the waves crashed against the sand. A crab dug its way out of the soft ground by the sea and started to make its way to the salty waters. Suddenly, a blue creature blasted by the crab, sending the crustacean into the distance where it landed in the sea with a splash.
"’LIMIT’?" The creature yelled as it turned on the spot, running in place as its legs cycled in an eight-figured motion, forcing the water behind it back so that a full fifty feet of seabed was revealed. "I'VE GOT YOUR ‘LIMIT’ RIGHT HERE!" As quickly as the creature had appeared, it was gone, rocketing back the way it had come, tearing up terrain as it went.

"Watch out, sir!" Snively cried over the radio.
"Oh, my gears and starters..." Eggman mumbled nervously. Raising the robot’s shield, the Overlander braced for impact. The hedgehog was back faster than Eggman could blink an eye, curled into a ball and heading straight for the robot. As the spinning hedgehog slammed into the robot, a shockwave was released and the robot was sent flying backwards into the remains of the ruined castle behind it. The robot collided with the ground and an explosion of dust and rocks filled the air.
"H-ha! H-how’s that for m-my limit, Eggman?" Sonic held his head and gave a victorious smile as he stumbled a little.
"It's just fine, Sonic." Eggman called from the dust loudly, causing Sonic's eyes to widen. As the dust cleared, Sonic saw that other than a large dent in the shield, the robot was absolutely fine. "Although I am a little upset you dented the shield." Raising the shield to the cockpits viewport, Eggman inspected the piece of metal. Without warning the robot rushed at Sonic and slammed the mangled shield against the hedgehog.
"Like I said before Sonic," Eggman swung the checkered ball upwards, nailing Sonic in the gut and sending him flying up. "You’re outmatched, outclassed," Jumping into the air Eggman got above the flying hedgehog and slammed his heel down into him, "You’re not fast enough, nor are you strong enough," Shooting Sonic with the robots laser cannon, the hedgehog fell to the ground, beaten and bruised. "And you certainly aren't smart enough to defeat me."
Landing next to the hedgehog, Eggman picked up Sonic and brought him in front of the viewport. "I'm going back to New Megaopolis now." Eggman smiled at the beaten hedgehog. "Once I've freshened up, I'm going to turn on the Egg Grapes. Everyone you've ever known or cared for will be turned into fuel for my city. And, you'll be left here, helpless."
Eggman smile grew even larger. "I'm not playing with you rodent. Run, run all over the world and try to start a new Freedom Fighter group. You will find no one. So run, for the rest of your life, and never escape the humiliation of today."
Throwing the hedgehog to the ground, Eggman activated the rockets in the robots feet and flew off into the distance with the rest of his fleet. Sonic lay there, bruised and broken as he watched his lifelong enemy leave.
"Sonic? Sonic!" A voice called out from behind him. Struggling, Sonic turned to the source of the noise and spotted Tails running his way.
"Hey, Tails." Sonic said weakly as he tried to get up. The young fox reached the hedgehog’s side and wrapped Sonic's arm around the back of his neck, helping the hedgehog sit up.
"I'm sorry, Sonic! We dug out as fast as we could, and...”
"Don't sweat it. I'll heal."
"Everything is gone..." Tail's looked around at the destruction Eggman had wrought. "Eggman’s won."
"Yeah, for now..." Sonic agreed.
"For now?" Tails asked, his eyes watering.
"We're still breathing right?" Sonic explained as he forced his body to stand. "And everyone's still alive. It means we've still got a chance." Looking back at the fox, Sonic gave him his trademark grin. "Let get Amy and Knuckles and hurry over to Eggman's place. We don't want to be late for the party."

Canterlot Castle
Luna yelped as she woke in a cold sweat and her mind raced. "Wha-what was that?" Luna whispered to herself as the memories of the nightmare she had just witnessed washed over her. "Those poor creatures. Who would do such a thing?"
The image of the metal beings flashed across her mind and she shivered a bit. "Calm thyself, Luna," The Alicorn tried to regain her thoughts and move them away from the nightmare. "T’was just a dream."
Looking out her room’s window, the Alicorn spotted the sun-casted twilight over the land as it slowly sank beneath the horizon. "It's already time to raise the moon?" Luna asked herself, surprised by how late it already was. Luna frowned as she silently cursed her bad habit of oversleeping. "Thy night guard was supposed to wake me an hour ago."
Flinging her covers off of herself, Luna rolled out of her bed and groggily made her way to the cabinet she kept her royal attire in. Lighting her horn with the blue aura of her magic, the Alicorn opened the cabinet and started to levitate the black and silver attire onto her body. Starting with the chest piece emblazoned with a crescent moon, she slipped her head through the hole and adjusted it so that it fit snugly around her neck. Lifting her hooves, she stepped into the horse shoes that made it feel slightly less natural to walk around, compared to walking barehoofed. Finally, slipping on her black tiara above her horn, the Princess of the Night trotted out onto her room's balcony.
Raising her horn, Luna unleashed a surge of magical energy as she grabbed the moon and pulled the pale orb into its position in the sky. As the moon stopped, the night sky came to life as stars twinkled into existence, mimicking the lunar princess’s flowing mane.
As she finished, Luna walked back into her room and her thoughts immediately returned to her nightmare, and the blue creature it had contained. "Why can't I shake the feeling that this twas much more than just a dream?" The lunar princess asked herself.
The door to her room opened and a white Alicorn walked in. "Hello Tia, I was just about to head down to get something to eat. Would thou like to join me?"
"Not now, Luna." The Alicorn declined, her expression filled with worry as she closed the large doors to the room behind her. "There is something important we must discuss, and I'm afraid it cannot wait until later."
"Ti's something wrong sister?"
"Luna, dear sister," Celestia looked the navy blue Alicorn in the eye, her expression as serious as could be. "I'm afraid that the barrier between our world and the rest of the zones has started to collapse."
Luna’s eyes widened in horror. "This cannot be happening. If the barrier fails, then creatures like Discord could once again come through and sow chaos across the land, just as the other Draconequis did. We must gather the Elements and recast the spell. We cannot let...”
"It is already too late Luna." Celestia calmly stated, though Luna could detect faint traces of fear in her voice. "The barrier has already eroded to the extent that we have already connected to several other worlds. If we tried to reseal ourselves now, we could cause untold damage to the rest of the multiverse."
"Why did we not sense this earlier?"
"Because, we are no longer connected to the Elements."
Luna looked up into the sun princess’s eyes. "What do we do now, sister?"
"We wait." Celestia said as she closed her eyes. "We wait and hope for the best."
Amy swung her hammer at the exceptionally large boulder in front of her and shattered it with ease. Placing the hammer down on the ground and wiping her brow, the pink hedgehog looked up at the sky and watched the smoke rise from beyond the hill separating freedom HQ and the small city on the other side. Turning back to the rubble she examined the collapsed building that she and knuckles were clearing and sighed.
"This is going to take forever to clear." The hedgehog complained. Amy felt a lone tear make its way down her face and drip off her chin like so many had before. She choked back a sob and wiped her cheek dry inhaling deeply to calm herself. She was determined not to cry as she had work to complete, but she knew that sooner or later her emotions would give in and she would break down. Now was not the time or the place. Picking her hammer back up she prepared to start swinging at the larger stones in the rubble that she knew she wouldn't be able to lift.
"Amy! Knuckles!" She heard someone call from behind.
"Tails?" Amy looked back over her shoulder. Her eyes opened wide when she saw the two tailed fox flying over the hill carrying a battered blue hedgehog. "Sonic!" The pink hedgehog cried as she ran off towards the duo, leaving Knuckles to work on clearing rubble on his own. As the duo landed she got a clearer look at her long time crush. Sonic was covered in bruises all along his body accompanied by roughed up fur and torn clothing. One of the hedgehogs eyes had swollen shut as well and he stumbled a little as he touched down.
"What happened to you?!" She asked as she fought to hold back the tears in her eyes. "Why is there so much smoke coming from Knothole? What happened to our homes?"
"Knotholes gone Amy." The blue hedgehog said as he started to walk to the ruined building. "The Egg Fleet burned it to the ground."
"Wha...? No!" Amy cried as the tears she was holding back escaped and rolled down her face in a steady unbroken stream. "What about everyone else?"
"Captured." Sonic answered as he walked past the pink hedgehog. "Eggman zapped them all into his Egg Grapes."
"What Egg Grapes? What are those?" Knuckles asked as the hedgehog passed him.
"There prison pods that turn life force into fuel or something." The hedgehog said, not looking back at the echidna. "I was kinda busy being beaten up to catch all of Eggmans ranting." Jumping down a hole in the rubble to the second floor, sonic stumbled a little as he landed. Regaining his balance the blue hedgehog made his way to the wrecked lab.
"So what are we going to do?" Knuckles jumped down the hole behind Sonic, followed closely by Amy and Tails.
Looking back over his shoulder sonic thought for a second. "You guys start fixing up Freedom HQ." He replied, continuing on his way. "I'm going to take what I can from the lab and get our families and friends back."
"You can't go after them alone!" Tails argued as he caught up with the hedgehog. "Give me a minute to build something or...
"You'll be safer here." Sonic interrupted the fox without looking back. "I'll get them back, don't worry." Climbing over a broken beam, Sonic entered the ruined lab and started to scan the room for anything he could salvage.
"But you'll have to deal with his Egg Fleet, and all of his badnik army." Tails climbed in after the hedgehog. "Not to mention his super battle suit."
"Tails! I've got this."
"Like you had knothole a few minutes ago?!" Tails yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Sonic. "Yeah! You really helped a lot there! Or does your plan hinge on you getting your butt kicked again?!" Silence regained for a few moments as the fox and hedgehog glared at each other, creating enough tension between the two thick enough to cut with a knife.
"If I may interrupt," A voice cut in, drawing the twos attention towards it. Amongst the rubble was a small pocket computer that served as Nicole's portable field module. "I recommend we postpone the infighting until after the rescue mission." The A.I.'s voice called out from the small electronic. "If anyone's interested, I have a plan."
"What do you have in mind?" Tails asked as the A.I. as he picked up her module.
"First, well need to fix up that hover cart over there."
Prime Zone Planet Mobius New Megaopolis Egg Vineyard
"Ladies and gentlemen and mobians of all ages!" Eggman cried from the platform he and Snively were standing on, sticking out into the middle of the silo that held the spheres containing the captured mobians of Knothole. "I want to thank you all for providing me with such an entertaining resistance movement for so very long. Its made running my global empire so much more exciting and enjoyable." Looking up at the group of spheres that held princess Sally and her small group of Freedom Fighters he gave his captives a toothy grin as they glared back at him. "You Freedom Fighters had been given many opportunities to surrender and join my empire like so many city's and rebellion groups have before you, but your pride in your stupid little monarchy blinded you to who was really in charge."
Turning to the next set of spheres that held Vector and his Chaotix he gave the group a frown. "You Chaotix knew this all along, Which makes you all the more stupid for aiding the monarchy. Speaking of which," the overlander turned around. "Look at how the mighty House of Acorn has fallen! You look terrible Maximillian." Eggman eyed the aging chipmunk before switching his gaze over to another nervous looking being of the same species who had a crown atop his head. "And you let your inexperienced firstborn take the crown. In all my years of waring with your family, I've never come across a king as weak as you.
"Don't listen to him Elias!" Cried a chipmunk beside the kings pod as she held a crying infant close to her chest. "I married you for your strength and bravery."
"HAHAHA!" Eggman bellowed. "How touching." Looking over the rest of the captured mobians, the overlander sneared. "Now then, I'm going to demonstrate to you all just what these Egg Grapes can do. The process will be accelerated, but no more less potent, just to make sure your all good and terrified before the end!" From high up in the silo a claw dropped down, grabbing Charmys sphere form the Chaotix's group of egg grapes.
"Charmy!" The female bee next to him cried as the claw dragged him towards Eggman.
"I-It'll be okay Saffron" Charmy tried to assure his companion.
"Charmy Bee!" Eggman exclaimed gleefully as the Chaotix member was brought befor him. "Haven't I already ruined your life? Destroyed your kingdom or some such right?"
"Yes you have." Charmy glared at the smiling overlander. "Despite all that, I've fought for our world. No matter what you do to me, I will still fight for Mobius. And I'm not alone!" All around the silo mobians burst into cheering, inspired by the little bee.
"Brave last words prince." Eggman grinned as he looked over his shoulder. "Snively."
"With pleasure sir." Snively put on a sick grin similar to Eggmans as he pressed a large button on the console in front of him. Charmy's pod filled with electricity as the insect was drained of his life force, crying out in agony during the process.
A loud crash and the sound of screeching metal echoed through the silo as a with four mobians in it crashed through the wall. The pink hedgehog and red echidna in the cart jumped out while the blue hedgehog stood up on its edge.
"Don't start the party without us Robuttnik!" The blue hedgehog declared as he pointed up at the platform the overlanders were on. "We... Whats that light?"
"Charmy!" The echidna exclaimed.
"No! I cant be to late again!" The hedgehog couldn't keep the fear off of his face.
"Nicole?!" The twin tailed fox piloting the hover cart pulled out a small handheld computer. "What now?"
"I'm detecting a port access plug up top." The computer said. "Plug me in up there. Hurry!"
"I've got Charmy!" The blue hedgehog called out running up the wall of the silo.
"Everyone stick to the plan!" The fox yelled flying up after the hedgehog. "Amy, Knuckles, bust everyone out!" The pink hedgehog and red echidna followed the order they were given and started smashing the pods with ease.
"No!" Eggman hollered as the blue hedgehog leapt from the wall and onto the platform the overlanders were on. Eggman nervously took a few steps back from the hedgehog. "Your supposed to be beaten, your spirit broken!"
"Shows how smart you are." The hedgehog snickered. Jumping towards the overlanders, the hedgehog curled into a ball and flew past them, smashing through Charmys pod. Bouncing off the wall on the other side, the hedgehog landed back on the platform in front of the console with the unconscious bee in his arms. "I'm going to make sure that Charmy is okay." The hedgehog glared at the overlander, malice sewn into his voice. "You get that much of a head start Eggman." Jumping down off the platform, the hedgehog left the overlanders.
Eggman and snively ran off down the platform and the hallway it was connected to. "You said you caught them all! You missed three!" Eggman yelled at his nephew.
"Three of how many hundred?!" Snively yelled back.
"Shut up and run!"
Back at the platform the yellow fox landed and ripped off the top of the console, revealing is insides. Taking a cable out of his backpack, he connected one end to the inside of the console and the other to Nicole's module. "How does it look Nicole?" He asked as soon as the A.I. was plugged in.
"Without A.D.A.M. Dr. Robotniks systems are wide open." Nicole replied in her electronic voice. "I'll only need a minute."
Down on the floor of the silo, mobians huddled together as a duck in a white doctor coat checked over Charmy. All of the mobians wore worried expressions on there faces, concerned for the young bee's health.
"Doctor Quack, how is he?" Saffron asked as she hovered over the ducks shoulder.
"I don't have any of my tools on me Saffron," Doctor Quack stated as he looked up at the bee. "But he seems to be stable. It looks like Sonic got to him just in time." The mobians gave sighs of relief as the news was spread around.
Behind Saffron and the doctor, sally placed a hand on the wounded hedgehogs shoulder. "Sonic, are you okay?" She gave him a worried look.
"Hey Sally. I'm hangin in there." Sonic answered. The hedgehog looked extreamly worn out.
"Good," sally gave the hedgehog a warm smile before putting on a serious face. "Because we have to move. Everyone, lets go!"
From up top the platform the twin tailed fox watched the events unfold down below. Realizing it was time to leave he turned to Nicole's module. "We have to go Nicole."
"I've done all i can from here." Nicole told the fox. "I'll finish preparations when we get home."
"Home?" The fox asked as he unplugged the A.I.
"I'm sorry, there's no time to explain. Stay with the group Tails."
"If you say so." Spinning his twin tails like a propeller, the fox jumped off of the platform and flew down to the crowd of mobians rushing out of the hole in the silo. "I hope your plan works."
On the ground sonic and sally were ushering mobians out the hole in the silos wall. "This way everybody. Right back out the way we came in!" Sonic called as he waved mobians past him.
"There's to many of us." Sally yelled to sonic as mobians pushed there way past her, her voice being lost in the noise they were making occasionally. "...to crowded. Mabye if we put as many as we can on that hover cart... The Freedom Fighters and Chaotix... And hold off any
"Nope!" Sonic interrupted
"Nope?!" The princess cocked an eyebrow at the hedgehog.
Sonic gave the chipmunk a sly grin. "We've got a plan Sal. We stick together." Running out the hole with the rest of the mobians. Sonic kept a pace slow enough so that Sally could keep up with him.
"While it may usually work for you 'run away as fast as you can' is not a plan." Sally complained as tails landed and joined them in running.
"Did I say it was my plan." Sonic smiled
"Fine." Sally halfheartedly agreed and called into the group of mobians. "Everyone stick together!"
Sonic looked over at Tails and his ears flattened against his head. "Dude, about earlier..." Sonic started.
Tails' own ears flattened. "Yeah, Sonic i..."
"OH NO!" Sally wailed, stopping dead in her tracks.
"Hold that thought." Sonic skidded to a stop himself as his gaze turned upwards. Above the mass crowd of mobians was Dr. Eggmans battle suit hovered, hand cannon charged with energy and aimed at the crowd.
"Was this part of your plan too?" Sally asked the hedgehog nervously.
"Believe it or not...
"I told you the game was over sonic." Eggman's voice crackled out of the suit. "Now, get back in those Egg Grapes!" The overlander open fired, hitting Tails and several other mobians upon the first hit.
"Everyone back!" Sonic yelled as he pointed to a clear allyway. "Take the first ally to the right! MOVE!"
"He's using a wider spread on his teleporting beam!" Sally observed as mobians were zapped in groups of three's and four's. "We'll be recaptured in no time!"
The hedgehog just smiled as he ran beside the chipmunk. "Wait for it."

Eggman smiled wickedly as he watched his teleportation beams send mobian after mobian back into the Egg Grapes that he kept for backup. "That hedgehog has always been a thorn in my side." Eggman quietly muttered to himself as he searched the mob for Sonic. "It was a mistake to let him live, this time he gets put in with the rest of the mobians."
"Um, sir?" Snively crackled over the radio.
"Not now Snively." Eggman said as he blasted a few more mobians. "I've already recaptured most of them and the rest are trapped at a dead end."
"But sir, the teleportation beam is...
"Obviously working! Now shut up and let me savor this moment!" Flicking off his radio, Eggman turned his attention to the last few mobians trapped between him and a wall. "Time to finish this hedgehog."

"Sonic can you spin dash through this wall?" Sally asked the confident looking hedgehog in a panic. "Maybe get us a way out?"
"Probably." Sonic answered indifferently. "But not this time."
"Have you lost your mind!" Sally yelled at the hedgehog as her eye twitched furiously.
"No, but I cant explain right now. I don't want ol'robobutt to overhear and ruin the surprise."
"Sonic!" Sally screamed as she and the last few mobians were hit with a beam.
Standing alone in front of the battle suit, sonic gave Eggman the smuggest look he could manage.
"This is a first for you rodent!" Eggman declared over the suits external speakers. "Two colossal failures in one day! Won't you put up a futile effort for old times sake?"
"And give you the pleasure? Not likely chubs!" To emphasize his point the hedgehog swung his arm in a cutting motion as he spoke.
"Fine then! Join your friends in oblivion!" Eggman unleashed one final blast of his laser at the hedgehog.
"See ya on the flipside loser."
"Finally, I won!" Eggman exclaimed as the suits arms swing up into the air. Turning his radio back on he spoke into it with joy. "Snively, don't start the egg grapes until I get there!"
"But sir!" Snivelys voice came through the radio slightly panicked. "I've been trying to tell you the entire time! The teleportation frequency was tampered with! There's nobody in the reserve egg grapes!"
Eggmans suits arms fell to it sides as the overlander remained silent and worked his jaw for a moment, dumbstruck. "I'm remote launching the egg fleet now!" Eggman yelled over the communications channel as he activated the jets in his suits feet and flew up to the airships hovering above the city. "Track down that frequency and tell me where they are!"
"I've already got it sir. I'm on my way to the flagship now."
"Well, where are they!" Eggman fumed.
"It looks like... The nanite city?"

"She did it!" Tails exclaimed as he looked upon a small body of water. "She rebuilt the lake of rings."
"But will it still produce the magic rings, I wonder?" An older fox asked the two tailed one.
"All of our homes..." Bunnie started as she took in her surroundings.
"Zey have been rebuilted!" Antoine finished, embracing the rabbit.
"Heh, just 'rebuilt' Antoine." Rotor corrected as amy helped support the walrus.
"Father look!" Elias pointed out a large castle in the middle of the city.
"By the glory of the source," Maximillians eyes waterd as he beheld the sight before him. "Castle Acorn! As it was in the days of our long lost Mobotropolis!"
"That was what I intended your highness." A new but familiar voice explained, drawing everyones attention to it.
"Whoa..." Sonic said before letting out a low whistle.
A brown lynx wearing a purple dress presented herself to the group. "This is something I've been preparing for quite a while now. Doctor Robotniks efforts have forced me to reveal this before it was finished, but all the same, welcome to New Mobotropolis. I will be your hostess, Nicole."
"Nicole!" Sally exclaimed as he raced up to the now solid A.I. and embraced her. "I didn't think you could maintain this form."
"I could not until I found something robust enough to maintain me. I built enough holographic matrix's to give me full use of the city."
"Good to have you with us again." Sonic gave the A.I. a thumbs up.
"Does the lake of rings actually work?" Tails asked
"How do you have enough power to sustain a physical form?"
"Is it just like old Mobotropolis?"
"What are our defenses here?"
"I'll answer everything in time, I promise!" Nicole smiled and let out a lighthearted chuckle.
"You've already done a great deal for us Nicole." Sally hugged the A.I.. She then turned to sonic and the rest of the mobians who had broken out all the captives. "And all of you as well. Without you none of us would've made it to see Nicole's new beautiful city."
"Do not celebrate all of our achievements just yet princess." Nicole interrupted as she turned her green eyes up to the sky. "It did not take Dr. Robotnik very long to figure out what we did," High in the sky the Egg Fleet could be seen making its way towards New Mobotropolis. "And he has come to finish what he has started."

Twilight stood in front of the large rainbow colored sphere as she watched it float there, shining with a glamorus luster. Looking around around herself, the sea of grass she was standing upon seemed to go on forever before suddenly stopping on the horizon. Turning her attention back to the shining orb in front of her the unicorn raised an eyebrow.
"Where am I?" Twilight asked herself out loud. "And how exactly did I get here?"
"You are in a dream Twilight Sparkle." A voice said from the other side of the orb. "I have called your mind here but your body still lays safe and sound in your bed."
"Who's there?" The lavender mare asked as she started to walk around the orb to get a better look at who was accompanying her. As she made her way to the other side of the orb she almost collided with the dark alicorn that stood there.
"I would think my voice itself would let you recognize me." The alicorn said as she gave the unicorn a friendly smile.
"Princess Luna!" Twilight bowed to the princess of the night.
"Twilight sparkle, you do not have to be so formal with me, especially in here. We are friends, are we not?"
"Heh heh, sorry Luna. I should know better." Twilight chuckled as she rose. "So how have you been? I see that your speech has improved more since the last time we met."
"I am fine Twilight, but I did not call you here to socialize. This is a very serious matter."
Twilight's expression became worried. "What happened?"
"Before I explain, I must give you a brief history lesson, a history that has faded out of Equestria almost entirely." Looking up at the orb, its light reflecting off the princess eyes, Luna continued. "What do you know about the multiverse theory?"
"From what I've read, the multiverse, or meta-universe, is the hypothetical set of multiple different universes that together comprise everything that exists or can exist." The unicorn recited from her mind. "The term was supposedly coined in the year 895 by philosipher and psychologist William Haymes, though the term does appear in tomes from before his time. Its also recorded that multiple unicorns, including Starswirl the Bearded, have attempted to create a spell to travel to these other universes, but have never succeded, That's why its only a theory. That's just a brief summary to, as I'm just scratching the surface of what I've learned about the subject."
"This is all true except for one thing."
"Whats that?" Twilight cocked an eyebrow.
"The multiverse is not just a theory, it is as real as you and I." Luna closed her eyes and her horn lit with magic. The world that she and the lavender unicorn stood in began to swirl around them and change until they were in a room filled with orbs like the one they had been standing beside, though thees ones where much smaller and images played inside of them. With the flick of here horn the orbs started to pass in front of them, each orb containing a different scene. "At around the same time that my sister and I sealed Discord away in stone the first time, we sealed our world off from the rest of the multiverse to prevent creatures like the draconiquis from entering our world again." An image of the princess casting a spell with the elements of harmony floated past them.
"So wait, Disords not from our world?"
"He is, but his powers are not. We do not know which one he went to, but Discord traveled to another universe once and returned with a large green gemstone that emitted Chaos energy. When he absorbed the gemstone he gained the powers that he now posses." Luna explained as a orb showing discords absorbtion of the large gemstone. "As i was saying we sealed our world off from the others so nothing could come through. This is why anypony who has tried to go to other universes has failed."
"Why are you telling me all of this?" Twilight asked curiously.
"Because the barrier that Celestia and myself set up has started to collapse." Luna sighed. "We do not know when it started or why we did not sense it earlier, though we suspect it has something to do with us not being the bearers of the elements anymore."
"If its such a big problem why don't you just get me and the girls to reseal it?"
"Because it has already eroded far to much to stop it now and the spell takes days to cast, even for alicorns. We will need the elements at a moments notice if anything hostile comes into our world."
"Do you know what kind of universes we could come into contact with?"
Luna lit her horn and several orbs flew in front of the duo. "We have already seen a few worlds out there, but we've only seen two universes seem to have direct connections to ours." The princess motioned to two orbs in the middle of the group. One contained who appeared to be Celestia, though her mane and tail now seemed to be flames instead of her normal triple hued ones. Her eyes were also glowing white orbs that held great amounts of power. "The first universe seems to be on were my sister has gone mad with power instead of me. In this world I am apparently the sole ruler of Equestria and the elements of harmony were obtained by ponies other than you and your friends."
"Who got them in that universe?" Twilight curiously approached the orb. Luna's horn glowed and the image changed to a group of six mares, all of whom she recognized. There was Cheerlie, Ponyville elementary's teacher, Lyra, whom Twilight had seen a few times around Canterlot and had learned she moved to Ponyville shortly after Twilight to be with her marefriend Bon-Bon, Ditzy Doo, Ponyvilles resident mailmare, Raindrops, one of the ponies on the weather team, Carrot Top, a carrot farmer who lived a bit outside Ponyville, and, "Trixie?!" Twilight just about woke up there, but Luna forced the mare to stay unconscious. "What? How could she... Why would... Which element...?"
"I think we should move on before you wake yourself up." Casting the orb into the farthest corner of the room she turned her attention to the next orb. Inside of it was what appeared to be a male Twilight. "I believe we should skip this one as well." The princess cast this orb away as well, but it was caught in a magenta aura and floated past Luna and in front of Twilight.
The unicorn studied the image for a while obviously intruiged by the orbs contents. "Is this supposed to be me?" The unicorn asked as her cheeks began to turn a little red.
"Yes." Luna answered surprised at how well the unicorn was taking it. "In that universe the history is the same as ours, everypony is just the opposite gender."
"Interesting."
"I thought so as well."
"What about the other universes. Whats in them?" Looking up to the rest of the orbs she examined them. In one was the image of a small yellow rodent that had a lightning bolt shaped tail. Another held two quadrapedal dragons, one purple and one black, and a yellow dragonfly with arms.
"There are quite a few that we discovered, and most of them seem relatively harmless." Luna explained as she pulled a few more orbs closer to them. One contained a small round pink creature inhaling large amounts of food and falling asleep soon after, while the other showed a large savanna with a large rock sticking up out of it and a frail looking baboon holding a lion cub up into the air. "While others seem to be extreamly violent." Another orb came down, this one playing out a large battle on a snowy tundra where large four legged machines shot what appeared to be red bolt of magical energy at bipedal creatures on the ground while other flying machines tried to wrap cables around them to trip the behemoths. "Fortunately very few of these universes, if any, are aware that the multiverse exists."
"What should we do?" Twilight asked as she looked upon the orbs.
"Do you and the rest of your friends still possess the elements?"
"Yes, Princess Celestia left them with us after we released Discord."
"Good. I advise you to keep them near you at all times. We don't know what could come through the barrier once it fully collapses. We will also be sending detachments of royal guards to each city within out borders."
"Should I inform the rest of Ponyville?"
"My sister will send you a letter to give to mayor mare explaining a few new rules we have created just to be on the safe side in the morning. Hopefully none of them will be needed." Luna turned to Twilight and gave her a worried smile. "Stay safe Twilight Sparkle. Our world may change drastically because of this. I must take my leave as it is almost dawn and I must fulfill my duty as raiser of the moon. I hope the next time we meet it is on better terms so that we may catch up. Farewell Twilight Sparkle, may your dreams be pleasant."
"Goodnight princess." Twilight bowed to the princess once more.
Luna gave a soft giggle at Twilight's display. "I told you that you don't have to be so formal with me. Your my friend."
Twilight smiled up at the dark alicorn. "I know but your still the princess." Twilight's vision blurred as her dream started to end and cut the link between her and the princess. "Until next time Luna?"
"Until next time." Luna's voice cut through the dreamscape.
Zone Unknown Planet Equis Golden Oaks Library Ponyville
The sun shone through the window of the library and splayed itself across Twilight's face, gently waking the rested unicorn. Opening her eyes twilight stretched her legs, warming up her muscles that she hadn't used since the night before. Looking out the window the unicorn smiled softly at the sun peaking over the horizon.
"I have a feeling today's going to be an interesting one." Twilight mused to herself. A tiny burp and a flash of green drew Twilight's attention away from the window and to the small purple dragon who lay in his bed, eyes wide and now fully awake.
"Why?" The dragon moaned and tossed the scroll on his stomach to twilight who caught the scroll with her magic. She did not open it for she already knew what it contained.
"Don't worry spike, you can go back to sleep if you want." Twilight said as she hopped out of bed and head off towards her bedroom door.
"Not like i could if i wanted to." Spike muttered, throwing off his covers. "Where are you going?"
"I have to go get the girls and bring this scroll to mayor mare."
"Mind if i come with you?" Spike stretched his arms and yawned.
"I don't see why not."
"Sweet. I'll meet you downstairs."
Exiting the room twilight chuckled a little. "It'll be an interesting one indeed."
My name is Nicole. I am an advanced A.I. from the future sent back in time to assist this time periods freedom fighters by their future selves. Dr. Robotnik, a mad scientist bent on world domination, has recently destroyed my friends city and captured all but four of the freedom fighters. After rescuing our fellow mobians from Robotniks clutches and tricking him into using his own teleporting beams to send us to New Mobotropolis, built by myself out of the remains of the nanite city, the doctor has found and chased after us with his Egg Fleet much quicker than I had expected. To make matters worse, five convicts were among those who were rescued from Robotnik. Lead by Mammoth Mogul, they hope to take control of our city from the inside while our attention is focused on the doctor. This i know will not come to pass as I will not allow it. What will come to pass however, will not be expected in the least.

"Why doesn't that egghead just quit already?" Sonic crossed his arms as he watched the egg fleet come over the distant mountain.
"Probably the same reason you don't," Sally gave the hedgehog a quick glance. "Your both too stubborn." Turning to the A.I. beside her, the chipmunks expression turned worried. "Nicole, please tell me we have some type of defenses set up."
"I'm setting up the city's energy shield as we speak." Nicole replied, bits of her holographic body phasing in and out of view. "It should keep us safe from any thing Dr. Robotnik can...
"Here me O base and unbearable curs!" Nicole was interrupted by the booming voice of Mammoth Mogul.
"And now to deal with the trash we brought with us." Sonic turned to the mammoth with the gaping hole in its chest.
"You are assailed from within and without!" The mammoth continued, his band of mercenary's stood at the ready. "Relent to my command and you may live to...
"Do not think I built this city without a contingency plan for you as well Mogul." Nicole said with a wave of her hand. beneath the mammoth and his gang, shining blue circles appeared, noticed by none of them except the small green duck.
"Ooh, shiny!" The duck laughed ecstatically as his legs started to disappear. As the bird cackled, the other mobians around him noticed the blue circles beneath them as well.
"What in the..." Nack started as the purple weasel jumped out of the way. The circle followed him and his body started to disappear as well. before the rest of the group had time to react they were gone.

Holding Cells
The small empty hallway of New Mobotrpolis's holding cells lights lit up for their first time as the cells glowed a soft blue. In a flash the cells were occupied by four displeased mobians and one excited one.
"That was AWESOME!" The green duck exclaimed.
"Oh for pity's sake Bean, shut up!" Nack yelled at the overexcited bird and threw his hat onto the ground. "I can't believe this. How many time's am I going to get thrown into a stinkin cell by those fucking Freedom Fighters! I cant stand the indignity of it all!"
In the back cell Mogul sat there, legs crossed as he glared down the hall to the underground building's entrance. Closing his eyes he started to meditate, blocking out the noise of the fuming weasel and the cackling bird, and thought about his next move.

"You teleported Mogul in mid rant?" Sonic turned back to the A.I. who's body was flickering. "You rock Nicole!"
"It was not a problem." Nicole smiled at the hedgehog as sally gave her a high five. "Besides, I do not think anyone wanted to hear him monoloAGH!" Nicole cried out in pain and started to collapse as lasers glanced off of the city's invisible shield, the force of the impact vibrating through the ground. The blows to the shield continued to come as the entire Egg Fleet hovered above New Mobotropolis, unleashing a hail of cannon fire.
"Nicole!" Sally exclaimed as she caught the A.I.. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine sally." Nicole assured the chipmunk as her body started to disappear. "it was just a minor fluctuation in the city's power grid. I do not have enough power to maintain my holographic form and keep the city's shields up at the same time under this type of barrage."
"What?!" Sally grasped the fading A.I.'s shoulders. Tears threatened to force their way out of the chipmunks eyes as the held on to Nicole as tightly as she could. "That's not fair. You've given us so much, and you cant even keep you own body for that long."
Nicole smiled at the sally as her body rapidly vanished. "I appreciate your concern princess, but there is nothing to be worried about. It'll only be until I have enough energy to spare. It's not like I'm going to disappear forever."
"I know, but...
"Sally, I'll always be around." Nicole said as the last bit of her hologram disappeared. "I'll always be near."
Sally staggered forward a little as her weight was no longer supported by Nicole. Raising her hand to her face, the chipmunk wiped away the tears pooling up in her eyes and cleared her nose. Feeling a hand rest on her shoulder, she looked over and saw Sonic giving her a sympathetic smile.
"So, what now Sal?" The hedgehog asked he looked up to the shield protecting the city. Lasers and rockets glanced off and exploded on the shield sending ripples down the see through energy dome. "I've officially filled my plan making quota for the year."
"I trust Nicole to be able to keep us safe for a good while." Sally followed the hedgehogs gaze. "Most of us are still too rattled from the invasion to do much right now."
"Like we could do much of anything right now anyway." Elias walked up to his sister and the hedgehog holding his wife close. Turning back to the crowd of mobians looked them over. "Nicole took the time to build this city for us. I suggest that everyone should go and find their new homes. Try to relax, keep your loved ones close to you, and be thankful that we have them again." Turning back to the hedgehog who was about to join his family, Elias blocked him with an outstretched arm. "Before you do anything else Sonic, I want you to get some immediate medical attention."
"But...
"That's a double order mister!" Sally cut the hedgehog off.
"Geez, double teamed." Sonic put his hands up defensively.
"Now." Sally glared at Sonic softly.
"Fine, I'm going." Turning around Sonic started walking towards the spot Dr. Quack had set up for a temporary medical station. "You two are more relentless than Eggman's barrage." Walking down the trail Sonic watched the shield continue to hold up against the bombardment of lasers and missiles fired from the egg fleet. "Just because I got roughed up a bit doesn't mean that I need any type of special treatment."
"Heh, since when didn't you enjoy special treatment." Someone joked from the side of the pathway. Looking over sonic spotted Rotor laying by a tree on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace.
"Rotor!" Sonic jogged off the path and up to the walrus. "Dude are you alright?"
"Doctor Quack says I'll be up and around after some therapy." Rotor smiled up at the hedgehog and laughed a bit. "That's what i get for catching a few hundred pounds of rock with my back."
"I'm so sorry Rotor." Sonic frowned guiltily. "I should have reacted quicker."
"No worries blue, i got to play the action hero for once." Rotor joked before looking over to Doctor Quack and the three Chaotix members he was with. "Besides, it's Charmy who I'm concerned about."
"Yeah, I know." Sonic looked over to the bee. "I guess I'll go see how he's doing. I was given a royal order to get looked at anyways."
"Wouldn't want to disobey one of those and get convicted of treason again would ya?" The walrus chuckled.
"Yeah, not the most pleasant experiance of my life, but not the worst either." Sonic grinned as he started to walk off towards the doctor and his patient. "See ya later Rotor. Get well soon."
"Thanks Sonic, see ya around." The walrus waved to the hedgehog.
As Sonic approached Doctor Quack and the Chaotix trio, he stopped short and waited for the doctor to finish up with Charmy. It seemed that the doctor was going through a series of tests with the bee and interrupting would be bothersome.
"Can you tell me how many fingers I'm holding up?" Doctor Quack asked the young Chaotix member.
"Sure, Erm... One, two, buckle my shoe." Charmy giggled, causing Espio to raise a brow at him confused.
"Sweetie, do you..." Saffron kneeled down in front of charmy. "Do you know who you are?"
"Yep, sure," Charmy confirmed as he got to is feet and wobbled a bit. "I'm Charmy Bee. Daddy says I'll be king when I grow up."
"Charmy, can you remember my name?" Saffron asked.
"Of course I can." Charmy brought the bee beside him into a large hug. "You're Saffron!"
"Is that a good sign doc?" Sonic asked as he approached Doctor Quack. Saffron was helping Charmy keep himself steady as they walked away.
"We wont know the extent of his memory loss until he's had some time." Doctor Quack watched the trio walk away. "For now though he seems better off than I could've hoped."
"Didn't you used to be purple?" Charmy gave Espio a sceptical look.
"I am purple." espio gave the bee an odd look.
"Really?"
"Though some of his senses do seem to be askew. Now I guess I should check on you," Turning to Sonic, Doctor Quack pulled out his stethescope and placed it to the hedgehogs chest. "Though I'm not to worried for you."
"I'm touched." Sonic rolled his eyes sarcastically.
"Given how hardy you are, not to mention all the residual magic ring energy you must have clinging to you, I'd say your the safest among us here." The duck moved the cold piece of metal across the hedgehogs chest. "Look at your eye for instance, it's already well on it's way to mending itself." Taking the stethescope away from the hedgehog, he wrapped it along the back of his neck. "I'm going to pass you with a clean bill of health Sonic. now if you'll excuse me, you were my last patient for today and if you don't mind i would like to spend the rest of the evening with my family."
"Don't worry doc, I'll make sure you do."

Sitting up on a high tree branch, Sally, Bunnie, and Antione, who was still trying to work up the courage to go farther out onto the tree's limb, looked over the new city they would call home from now on. High above them the Egg Fleet continued its assault on new mobotropolis's shield, desperately trying to break through the invisible barrier. They watched as another blast sent a wave of ripples down the shield.
"It looks almost exactly like I remember it." Sally said as she scanned the city, a small smile tracing her lips. "It's everything I've been fighting for since I was little."
"Ah wouldn't know 'bout the city Sally girl." Bunnie gave the chipmunk a smile as she brushed her hair back away from her eyes. "But it sho is a sight to behold now."
"Eet would be even nicer if Robotnick would stop blastering zee shield." Antoine quivered from the trees trunk, holding onto it as if his life depended on it.
"We've all come so far." Sally reminisced to her friends. "Fighting out of a forest valley against all odds, Thinking that we were orphans."
"Ahn ah was just ah lil ol' farm girl for the longest while before ya'll saved me." Bunnie added.
"Oui, and I-I was zee cowering craven." Antoine stuttered.
Bunnie rolled her eyes and extened her robotic arm towards the shivering cyote. "Its 'craven coward' sugar-Twan. And ah've always known you to be brave deep down." Wraping her arm around Antoine, Bunnie pulled the cyote away from the center of the tree and embraced him.
"Et tu positif?" Antoine asked.
Bunnie smiled and gave Antoine a small peck on the nose. "Sho ah'm sho. Ya'think ah'd have married you otherwise?" Turning to the chipmunk to her left Bunnie grinned. "An Sally would'na let you in on all those missions if'n she didn't think so either, right?"
"Thats right Bunnie." Sally confirmed as she smirked back at the lovebirds. "I took it all into account when I led the assult on robotroplois." Sallys expresion turned sour and she diverted her gaze away from the two lovebirds. "When I led us. Back when I wasn't acting monarch, the heir-apperant, or had to get married or any of the formalities to deal with."
"Uh, Sally-girl, is the cannon fire gettin to ya?" Bunnie asked unsure of how to take the princesses little release of pent up emotions.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Sally gloomly said. "It's just that I wish that things could go back to the way they were before." Sally sat there quietly for a while watching the cannons of the egg fleet shoot down on the city. Suddenly a smile crept onto her face as she got an idea. "Bunnie do you remember what you wanted to be when you first joined the Freedom Fighters?"
"I sho do!" Bunnie clasped her hands together. "I wanted nuthin' more than to be your royal hairdresser."
"Well I hope you haven't completely written off that aspiration," Sally said as she hopped up onto her feet and smirked. "Because I've got a favor to ask."
Egg Fleet Flagship Above New Mobotropolis
On the airships bridge, Snively sat in the revolving chair that was far to large for him, resting his head on his knuckles and let the scolding that his uncle was giving him from over the communications channel go in one ear and out the other. Normally snively would be far to afraid of his psychotic uncle to ignore him, but fortunately for the little man, he was down in the hanger resupplying his battle armor. So now he sat there, moving his hand in sync with his uncles words, pretending his hand was Robotnik's mouth to amuse himself.
"Your taking to long you little runt!" Eggman yelled through the radio. "I've given you the entire Egg Fleet Snively. I'd do it myself if I wasn't busy re-arming my battle suit."
"I'm working on it uncle Robotnik." Snively said, not really interested in his uncle words.
"SO THE WHY AREN'T THEIR SHIELDS DOWN YET!" Eggman screamed causing Snively to flinch a bit.
"Because they seem to be grounding the energy fired at them instead of absorbing it, sir." Snively glared at the radio.
"Don't give me your silly little excuses Snively, just bring them down!"
"Yes sir." Turning back to the viewport behind him, he gave a relieved sigh when he heard the click that told him that his uncle had ended the transmission. "The Freedom Fighters got one thing right, he sure love to talk." Looking over to one of the red Egg Pawns that stood in front of the flagships controls, he jumped off of his seat and approached the robot. "Whats our current status?"
"Power at ninety-seven percent," The robot answered in a electric tone. "Stabilizers holding, weapon systems functioning at full capacity, engines..." The robot was cut off as energy bolts glanced off of the viewport. Snively let out a small yell of surprise as a navy blue airplane flew past the bridge. "No damage sir. Targeting lone enemy craft."
"I see it!" Snivelys eyes followed the airplane. "Who in their right mind would fire at an Eggman Empire Egg Carrier by theirselves." As he continued to watch the plane, it rolled and showed its profile. "Wait a minute, isn't that...
"Target acquired." The Egg Pawn informed Snively.
"Hold your fire!" Snively ordered. Rushing over to the radio, Snively scanned the through the communication channels until he came across an occupied channel that had been previously unused. Pressing a button on the console he yelled into the radios microphone. "Hope!? Hope is that you!?"
"That's right half-brother, you jerk!" Snively heard his young half-sister cry over the channel. the plane swung back around and began another pass at the airship, letting loose a flurry of bolts as it flew over.
"What are you doing here?"
"Are you really asking that!" Hope yelled. "We only knew each other for a few weeks, but you were still family! I trusted you! I took your advice and went to the United Federation to see if it was right for me!" The plane turned around and flew in front of the airships viewport again. Snively saw the figure of his half-sister though the planes cockpit window and saw the look of fustration and hate on the young overlanders face. "But when I came back to Knothole, you know what I found? NOTHING! All because you went and betrayed them!"
"Hope I...
"I don't care Snively!" The young overlander sobbed. "I can't bear to show my face to the mobians now. I trusted you over them! they took me in and I left on your advice!" The plane did one last flyby past the bridge firing at the floating ship and started to fly of into the distance. "I'm going to go back to the human and overlander city's now. I'm going to become the best engineer ever! And then I'm going to kick your and uncle Robotnik's butts! Then maybe our family name will worth something!"
As the aircraft flew of into the distance, Snively felt his eyes start to water up and wiped away the tears quickly. Pressing a few buttons on the console to turn the communications channel back to normal, he barely heard the egg pawn talking to him. After a moment he realized that it was asking for permission to fire at Hopes plane. "Permission denied. Let her go."
"Snively!" Eggman hollered over the radio.
"Yes sir?" Snively asked gloomily.
"I've finished re-arming my suit. Give the order for the Egg Fleet to cease fire. I'm going to end this personally."
"At once sir." switching the channel to fleet wide, Snively repeated his uncles order before walking back to the chair and sitting back down.
Outside New Mobotropolis
"Come out and face me!" Eggman yelled as he wailed on the city's shield with his battle suit. Soon after leaving the Egg Fleet he had immediately started to attack the shield that prevented him from entering the city with a vengeance, yet it would not give way. Extending the chain that his suits checkered wrecking ball was attached to, he swung the ball at the shield repeatedly. "You stole this city from me! It's mine!" the overlander yelled as he continued his relentless assault. "Stop hiding behind your stupid shield and fight me! I conquered and destroyed your first city! I toyed with you as you built you little forest getaway, and then I burned it to the ground! I've terrorized the lot of you for all of your pity lives!"
Eggman stopped swinging the ball at the shield and retracted it into his suits arm as he flew away from the city a bit and fired rockets and lasers at the shield. "You cannot rob me of my victory! I WON'T ALLOW IT! Now get out here so I can conquer you again!" The overrlander raged.
"Hey, Eggman!" someone called up to the robot. Down on the grass sonic was walking out of a small hole in the shield large enough for mobians and smaller overlanders to walk through without difficulty. "Are you enjoying your little tantrum, or do yo plan on shooting at something other than the shield?"
"OH-HO-HO, I Knew you wouldn't disappoint me rodent!" Eggman cackled as he landed his suit in front of the hedgehog. "But you were a fool to face me alone. Did I beat you too sufficiently before and knock the memory of your defeat out of your head? I designed this battle armor specifically to out preform you at every possible level. It's impossible for you to overcome me!"
Sonic crossed his arms and snickered. "Yeah, I figured as much. Which means that you've got nothing against these guys." behind the hedgehog the rest of the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix rushed out of the hole in the shield. "I like this plan." Sonic smiled.
"Freedom Fighters! Chaotix! Attack!" Sally yelled as the chipmunk stopped beside sonic.
Knuckles, Mighty, and Vector rushed out in front of the rest of the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix and B-lined straight for the suits arms, ripping them off before Eggman had time to react. The three jumped away with the suits arms as Bunnie landed in front of it and her arm shifted into a rounded cylinder with a hole in the end pointed at the suit.
"Ya'll should'na riled us Doctor Eggman." Bunnie grinned devilishly while the hole started to glow a bright orange. "On the other hand, AH'VE BEEN SAVIN' THIS FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION!" A large orange beam erupted from the cylinder and burned away the robots head and torso, revealing a slightly burned overlander. "Heavy hitters are done Sal-gal."
"Alright, second line move in!" Sally ordered.
Julie-Su, followed by Antoine and Espio charged in and started attacking the suits remaining lower half, slashing and firing at its legs. Tails and Ray went for the overlander himself, Tails blowing a raspberry at Eggman as they pulled at his mustache and snapped his goggles into his face. sonic watched his ally's harass the overlander for a while before he started to walk up to Eggman himself.
"For all your smarts Doc, you totally miscalculated us." Sonic started to rant so he would get on Eggmans nerves. "Did you really think we would just roll over and give up? Did you think I was the only hero on Mobius? I can take just about anything you can dish out. But on the rare occasion I cant, my friends always can" Sonic paused as he watched Amy sneak up behind Eggman's battle suit and swing at its legs. smashing them clean off. Eggman quickly pressed something on what remained of the suits control console and propulsion jets quickly came to life ont the bottom of the suit, stopping it from falling to the ground. Sonic smiled and continued. "Face it Eggman. You don't have a leg to stand on." Sonic chuckled a little a his joke.
"Augh, shut up you stupid little rodent!" Eggman yelled at the hedgehog.
"You said that all of this was a game to you?" Sonic crouched and launched himself at the remnants of the battle suit spinning through them and sending Eggman to the ground. Landing in front of the overlander, Sonic looked down and smugly grined at Eggman. "Well we've chosen to continue. Game on Robuttnik."
"Your trespassing on royal grounds." Sally said as she walked up beside the hedgehog. "As princess, I order you to retreat back to New Megaopolis."
"You wont get away with this!" Eggman exclaimed. "Snively, fire the mass teleporting beam!" Above the city, on of the large airships moved out of position and pointed it self straight down.
"Nice try doc, but New Mobotropolis is protected by it's shield." Sonic gloated.
"This beam is different hedgehog." Eggman smiled. "It's highly concentrated and should be able to cut right through...
BOOM!
The explosion cut off Eggmans rant and drew everyone's attention upwards, just in time to see the airship explode and release a wave of white light that enveloped a half dozen other airships causing them to disintagrate. The white light expanded outwards and washed over the city and the freedom fighters outside of it. "
Sally looked back down at the overlander but was surprised to see that he was no longer there, but was instead sprinting across the field, already a considerable distance from them and shouting for the egg fleet to retreat. "Well that backfired on him, didn't it Sonic?" Sally asked the hedgehog. When she got no answer from the hedgehog, she looked up to see the speedster missing. "Sonic? Where'd you go?" Sally looked around. "Hey, did anyone see where Sonic ran off to?"
"Zat would be a negative princess." Antoine answered turning to his wife. "Bunnie did you zee where... Bunnie? Sacrebleu! Bunnie iz gone az well!"
"So is Tails!" Amy added.
"Julie-su! Espio! Where are you guys?!" Knuckles Hollered from behind them.
"This can't be good." Sally panicked
Prime Zone Planet Mobius Master Emerald Alter, Angel Island
The chambers of the Master Emerald glowed a sickly green as the giant emerald itself was engulfed in black flames. Floating in front of the emerald a white echidna wearing a black cape and gold rings around his arms, chanted a dark spell with his hands bathed in the same fire the emerald.
"The servants are the seven chaos..." the echidna hissed at the gemstone. Behind him, a green hedgehog wearing a black leather jacket rushed into the room and skid to a halt in front of the alter.
"Yo, Fintevus, me might have a problem!" The hedgehog called out.
"Explain yourself Scourge." The echidna looked back at the hedgehog out of the corner of his eye displeased.
"Your pet head-in-a-bubble, Dimitri was his name right, just made a run for it, figuritivly speaking. " Scourge started to climb the alters steps. "I think he's going to blab your plan to the guardian."
"Excellent." Fintevus smiled and turned back to the hedgehog. "I was hoping he would take the initiative and flee from us. I assure you, everything is going according to plan."
Shrugging his shoulders, Scourge turned his back to the echidna and closed his eyes under the red shades he wore. "All right then, Your the spooky-creepy mastermind."
A low chuckle escaped from the echidna as he turned back to the Master Emerald and placed a hand upon it. More black flames burst out between his palm and the gemstone and Fintevus grinned madly. "Go to them Dimitri. Tell them everything, if you so desire. You cannot stop the return of Enerjak!"
Zone Unknown Planet Equis Ponyville
Twilight trotted quickly down the main street of Ponyville on a mission. Behind her trailed a quintet of tired looking ponys, except for Pinkie Pie who bounced along happily with the rest of the group, whom she had woken up not even an hour prior. Looking over her shoulder, none of them seemed to amused about being woken up so early, especially Rarity, who twilight had to convince to leave her mane and tail alone for the time being so they wouldn't be late. As she scanned them she caught the eye of the blue pegasus in the group whom gave her a curious look.
"So Twilight, when are you going to tell us why you woke us up at the crack of dawn?" the pegasus asked as she blew a stubborn strand of her rainbow hued mane out of her face. "And why did we have to bring the elements with us?"
"I already told you Rainbow, I'll tell you all once we get to town hall and meet up with Mayor Mare." Twilight said for about the dozenth time.
"Oh come on Twilight, why do we have to wait until we get there?" Rainbow flew up beside Twilight and hovered next to the unicorn.
"Because I don't want to have to repeat myself multiple times today." The lavender mare said. "Besides you wont have to wait to much longer, we're almost there." Ahead of them was the round building that served as town hall, Mayor Mare already waiting in front of the door.
"Was she expecting us?" Fluttershy asked from the back of the group.
"I had Spike come ahead to tell Mayor Mare we were coming." Twilight explained. Picking up the pace a little, twilight and the rest of the ponies closed the distance to town hall quickly and climbed the small set of steps up to the entrance. "Hello Mayor, I hope you haven't been waiting for to long."
"Not at all Twilight, your assistant got here only a little while ago and has already given me the princess message." The Mayor opened the door beside her and motioned to the party to enter. One by one the ponies passed by into the building and were followed by the tan earth pony once they were all inside. Inside the building, a long table was set up with four chairs running along each side and a multitude of different foods had been set up upon it. Twilight's dragon assistant already sat at on one of the end seats, plucking some grapes from a fruit bowl on front of him. "I took the liberty of setting up some food while I waited in case none of you had anything to eat yet, so if you would all please take a set we can get started." the ponies followed the mayors instructions and each took a seat along the table, Twilight taking one of the seats on the same side that spike had taken, along with Rainbow Dash and Applejack, while Rarity, Pinkie pie, and Fluttershy sat down on the opposite side leaving the chair right across from Twilight vacant.
sitting down in the empty seat, mayor mare pulled out the scroll spike had given her and started to go over it. "The message explained a few things but was very light on details. It basically said that there is some type of new threat to Equestria, gave me some new rules that are to be implemented, and that you would explain more about this threat. Care to elaborate."
"Of course Mayor." Twilight said as she levitated a small crescent roll over to her.
"Finally, some answers!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
Twilight glanced at the cyan pegasus out of the corner of her eye, but otherwise ignored her. "Last night Princess Luna used a dream walking spell and came to me while I was asleep, or rather she called me to her." Twilight explained, slicing her roll and started to spread butter on it. "She told me that the barrier between our universe and others is starting to weaken, threatening to let creatures through into our world."
"Barrier between what now?" Applejack asked, removing mouth from her already half eaten apple, leaving a large bite in it.
"The barrier between universes." The purple unicorn repeated. "Whats the best way to explain this? Are any of you familiar with the multiverse theory?"
Pinkies hoof shot up and she waved it around. "OH OH, I know this one! The multiverse theory is the theory that there are multiple different planes of existance, each of which has a very similar or very different set of life. Events in those worlds can be exactly the same, though it may have happened in a slightly different way, or they could have never happened at all, and were replaced by different events entirely." Pinkie finished her explaination with a large grin plastered on her face.
"That's, actually very accurate Pinkie," Twilight confirmed, amazed at Pinkies knowledge on the subject. "How did you know that?"
"Know what?" Pinkie asked as she shoved a cinnamon bun in her mouth, swallowing it in one go.
"About the multiverse." Twilight cocked her eybrow. "You just explained it."
"I have no idea what your talking about." Pinkie grabbed another cinnamon bun that met the same fate as the first.
"But you just...
"Twilight darling, just let it go." Rarity told her unicorn counterpart. "Pinkie Pie is Pinkie Pie after all."
"Your right, sorry." twilight exhaled. "Well anyways, just like Pinkie said the multiverse is a multitude of different planes of existance. And like I said, Princess Luna told Me that the barrier between them and our universe is weakining and she and Princess Celestia are worried that creatures from them will start coming through." Taking a bit out of her crescent roll she chewed for a bit and swallowed before continuing. "Luna also told me that they would be sending a small regiment of guards to watch over the town. The same precautions are being taken in all of the city's and towns in Equestria."
"Do the princess know when the barrier might collapse?" Rarity asked, taking a sip of grape juice.
Twilight put a hoof to her chin. "Not exactly, but from how urgent Luna sounded I'm guessing it will be...
BOOM!
"...Soon."
"What the hay was that." Applejack asked.
"No idea, but it didn't sound good. C'mon girls!" Twilight launched herself off of her seat and towards the buildings doors, followed closely by the six other mares and spike. using her magic to send the doors flying open, she and the others rushed out, and stoped dead in their tracks at the sight they beheld. high in the sky, six large metalic objects filled it as they soared through the air, rapidly decending towards the Everfree Forest. Each of the objects had flames billowing out of them and were trailed by a stream of smoke.
"T-Twilight, what are those?" spike stuttered.
"I don't know Spike." Twilight watched the objects which were now located above the everfree when one of them exploded into a massive fireball. Pieces of the object fell out of the bottom of the fireball and into the forest below, starting fires where they landed soon after. A gust of wind blasted past Twilight as Rainbow rushed to the sky. "Rainbow, where are you going?" Twilight yelled at the pegasus.
"What does it look like?!" rainbow flared her wings and turned around. "I'm going to put out those fires. Shy's cottage and Applejack's farm are located right beside the Everfree."
"How are you going to do that?" twilight asked. "I thought weather above the Everfree couldn't be controlled."
"It can't. But I can still control clouds that I bring there myself." Rainbow explained impatiently.
"Okay then." Twilight agreed. "Bring Fluttershy with you and get any pegasai whom you see along the way to help out as well."
"On it." Rainbow gave the unicorn a mock salute before turning to Fluttershy. "Come on Fluttershy, let's... Uh fluttershy, what are you looking at?" Rainbow looked up and her eyes widened a little. "What in the?"
Looking up, the rest of the ponies noticed a ring of six lights swirling around above them. the lights each had there own color and a trail of after imaging following them. One of the lights was a deep blue and seemed to be moving faster than the others by quite a considerable margin, passing the other lights multiple times effortlessly. The second light was a soft brown and had small purple metallic orbs revolving around it that none of the others seemed to have. The next two lights were both purple, the first of which seemed to disappear and reappear at random, sometimes reappearing in a different color entirely, while the second purple light had nothing that odd about it. The fifth light was a bright orangeish yellow and had a green core that seemed to have numbers flowing around inside of it and seemed to stay in the center of the rest of the lights. The final light was a hot pink with purple whisps of light that would flow out from the light from time to time before going back into it. The ponies sat and watched the orbs of lights for a minute, mesmerized by their beauty. suddenly the orbs shot off in random directions, traveling at speeds almost faster than the eye could follow. The blue and normal purple light shot off towards the burning Everfree, smashing through the canopy and disappearing through the darkness. The brown light headed towards Sweet Apple Acres, descending into the orchard where it landed with a flash of white light. The pink and fluctuating purple lights shot off towards Canterlot, quickly disappearing in the distance. The final yellow light flew straight into the large tree that was Twilight's library, hiding in the trees canopy.
"What were those?" Mayor Mare asked in wonder.
"No idea, but were going to find out." Twilight stated as he turned to the group of mares. "Applejack and Pinkie Pie, Head to Sweet Apple Acres and find that brown light, but remember not to approach it no matter what." Yhe earth ponies nodded and galloped of to the farm as fast as their hooves could carry them. "Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, you two go ahead and start putting out those fires like we originally planned and tell whatever pegasai you gather to help to stay away from those lights if they find it." Rainbow gave another mock salute and flew off with Fluttershy trailing behind her. "Rarity and Spike, you two are with me. We're going to my library to find that yellow light and investigate what it is. Mayor Mare, you stay here and wait for the guards to show up. Explain whats happened and send a few guards to assist each of us." Once she got a confirmation from Mayor Mare, Twilight galloped off towards her library while throwing Spike onto her back with magic and Rarity hot on her heels.
Snively shielded his eyes as the flash of white light lit up the bridge of the command ship, washing over him and the consoles around him. As the light died down the airship shook violently beneath him and he felt his stomach lurch up into his body. Uncovering his eyes Snively looks out the viewport and is shocked to see that most of the egg fleet has disappeared. Another vibration ran through the ship followed by a loud explosion that forced Snively to flinch at the sound.
"You there!" Snively yelled to one of the Egg Pawns. "Report in on all systems, Whats happening?"
The Egg Pawn turned to the console beside it and ran a system diagnostic. "Warning, all systems failing. We are now on a crash course with an unknown forest. All remaining ships report similar failures. Estimated time until impact one minute thirty seconds."
Snively scowls as he turns to the door behind him that leads out of the bridge. "Prepare an escape shuttle. I don't plan on being here when this ship...
KABOOM
Snively spins around just in time to see one of the airships in front of his explode into a giant fire ball and fall into the forest below. One piece of the airship, a large chunk of its armored plating, flew straight for the command bridge of Snively's airship. Realizing the imminent threat of the flying debri, Snively jumped out of the way just before the piece smashed though the bridges viewport and into the far wall. Getting back to his feet Snively's eyes widened as he saw the debri had smashed into the door to the bridge, blocking off all escape.
"Well that's just fantastic!" Snively yells as he turns back to the bridges viewport. watching the ground come closer and closer as the airship descended into the planet below, Snively began to shake in fear. "All hands prepare for impact." Grabbing onto an intact console, Snively held on as hard as he can as the airship plows into the forest.

Sonic just laid there, staring up into the dark canopy of trees as his senses slowly came back to him. The first of his senses to have come back, touch, had not been pleasant. When he had woken up less than five minutes ago, it had not been subtle at all. He had been jolted awake with what had felt like all of the pain he had ever been dealt had all come back to haunt him at once, making his body feel like it had been set on fire while he was being repeatedly stabbed by inch long needles all over his body. When he had tried to cry out in pain, he had realized that he could not hear himself, see his surroundings, or smell and taste anything. Thankfully the pain had subsided rather quickly and he just felt more exhausted than he had in his entire life.
His next sense, sight, had come back a few minutes later, quickly followed by his hearing. He had discovered that he was laying in a forest clearing in the middle of the night, or a least he thought it was night seeing how dark it was, and couldn't see past the edge of the clearing. His ears, which had started hearing that high pitched ringing sound you get when your hit in the head really hard, eventually began picking up unfamiliar noises from creatures his eyes couldn't see. From the soft buzzing and chirping in the trees close to him, to the screeching calls and fierce howls deeper in the forest, the hedgehog couldn't recognize any of the noises coming from these woods.
Right now the hedgehog was beginning to get his sense of smell back. Taking a few experimental sniffs of the air, Sonic's nose involuntarily scrunched up and he sneezed to get the pungent scent out of his nose. Despite his nose not working very well at the moment, the scent he was picking up was unmistakable. Smoke.
"And where there's smoke there's fire." Sonic muttered as he pushed himself up into a sitting position, looking around as he did so. "The question is, where's the fire?"

Julie-su was not impressed with her current predicament. The pink echidna was currently sitting at the end of a small table she had been brought to that was situated in the middle of a large white room that, other than the table she sat at, was completely barren of anything. Stationed around the room were white and brown quadrupedal creatures that had either horns, wings, or none of the above, clad in golden armor that were watching her every move without actually looking at her. And to top it all off, she was being somehow magically chained to the center of the table with a golden colored aura.
The aura wasn't exactly restraining, seeing how she still had a free range of motion. The echidna had already tested how far she could move, and found that she was free to wander away from the table up to about five and a half feet in any direction. The creatures around the room obviously hadn't liked her moving about so much and had ordered her back to her seat. Now she was just waiting for whatever was going to happen next to happen.
After a few minutes Julie-su heard a commotion from the other side of the door behind her. Turning in her seat the echidna watched the door intently. Soon it opened and two more of the quadrupedal creatures walked in, already in the middle of a hushed conversation. Julie-su listened in using the headset in her biomechanical spine that hung of the side of her head.
"Sister, I can assure you that these creatures are not our enemies." The dark blue one was whispering. It was larger than the other quadrupeds in the room but still smaller than the white one next to it. "In my dreams they we're the victims. We should be trying to help them instead of interrogating them."
"I know that you believe what you saw in your dreams to be true Luna, " The white creature whispered back. "But we must make sure. There was extremely high amounts of chaos magic in them when they appeared in the gardens. We don't want to have a repeat of what happened with Discord to happen again."
"But Tia…"
"No buts Luna. This needs to be done." Breaking away from the darker creature, the white one walked around the table and sat opposite to the echidna. Sighing, the darker one followed suit and sat beside the white one.
"Greetings," the white creature started, its voice soft and calming yet powerful at the same time. "My name is Princess Celestia, and this is my sister, Princess Luna. If you wouldn't mind, we would like to ask you some questions."
"I don't know, what do I get in return if I cooperate?" Julie-su asked the creature skeptically.
"What do you want?" The white creature, Princess Celestia, answered.
"Well for starters," The echidna rose her arms and gestured at the bindings, "I would appreciate if you removed whatever this is. I would also like to know where I am, how I got here, and what happened to my friends?"
"I'm sorry, but your restraints are going to have to stay on for now." Princess Celestia stated without hesitation. "I can however tell you that we are currently inside Canterlot Castle, which is in the capital of the country that we rule over, Equestria. As for your friends, you were found by only one other creature, and it is in another room just like this one."
"Just one?" Julie-su asked in disbelief.
"That is correct." The princess confirmed, picking up on the echidnas worry. "Do not worry, I am sure your your other friends are alright. Now will you answer our questions.
Julie-su was worried. From what Celestia had said, the Echidna had deduced that she was probably in another zone. And with the one ally that she knew of separated from her, she had no choice but to agree.
"Sure, why not"

"Well I found the fire." Sonic said as he stared at the blaze in front of him. After walking through the forest he was in for about an hour, the hedgehog had very nearly walked right into the flames that literally came out of nowhere, and had cursed as the heat singed his fur. Now he was looking for away around the flames as he thought aloud. "If I skirt along the edge, it'll eventually just spread and push me back the way I came from. I obviously can't go through the fire unless I want to become seared hedgehog. So I guess going back the way I came and hoping there's a way out of this place is my best...
"Help!" A faint panicked scream echoed out of the inferno.
"...Bet." The hedgehog finished his thought with a exhausted sigh as he stared back into the blaze. "Through the fire and flames it is then!" Sonic exclaimed as he jumped into the inferno without a second thought.
Sonic almost instantly regretted his rash decision as the flames started to lick at and singe his blue fur immediately. But he kept going. He would not let some fire prevent him from saving an innocent person who needed his help. Moving as swiftly as he was able to at the moment, Sonic sped through the burning forest towards the source of the cry for help, weaving between trees that were still standing and dodging the ones that fell by him. Eventually he reached a small clearing where he spotted a large tree collapsed on a single mobian who was trying, and failing, to lift the burning tree off him.
"Hold on!" Sonic called out, B-lining for the tree. Once he was there, the hedgehog placed his hands under the trunk of the tree, readying himself and yelled to the other mobian, whose face was covered by the thick brush of one of the trees branches. "Okay, lift on three. One, Two, THREE!"
Sonic grunted as he lifted the trunk along with the other mobian. Once the tree was about two feet off the ground, the brush had moved far enough for Sonic to get a good look at the other mobian, a familliar purple weasel. The two mobians stared at each other for a moment before the weasel reacted.
"BLASTED HEDGEHOG!" The weasel yelled as it reached down to it's belt to grab the gun strapped to it's side. Instinctively, Sonic let go of the tree, letting it fall back onto the weasel who cried out in pain as the tree crashed onto it. "Damn It!"
"Hey there Nack." Sonic greeted the weasel indifferently as he placed his foot on the log. "How are ya doing?"
"Go to hell hedgehog!" Nack cursed, spitting in Sonic's face.
"Well that wasn't very nice." Sonic wiped the spit off of him, keeping his voice indifferent as he did. "And I was even going to offer to help you out."
"Like I would want your help!"
"Oh really, then I guess you don't mind if I just left you here to burn." Taking his foot off the tree, Sonic turned around and started to walk away. He was only a few feet from the edge of the clearing before Nack called out.
"Wait, stop, you win! Get me out of here, please!" Nack pleaded. "I-I'll give you anything you want! Just save me!"
"Anything?" Sonic did a half turn and pretended to be interested.
"Yes, anything!" Nack cried frantically
"Okay, first I want you to give me your gun so you don't shoot me in the back the moment your free." Sonic demanded as he started walking back to the tree.
"Deal!" Nack agreed, tossing the weapon over the tree towards the hedgehog who caught it.
"Second," Sonic continued, "I want you to think of this as payment for you to accompany me all the way back to New Mobotropolis, where you will be put right back into your jail cell along with the rest of your gang."
"Screw you! Give me my gun back so I can blast ya!" Nack yelled.
"Suit yourself." Breaking the gun in half, Sonic tossed the remnants back to the weasle and turned to leave again. "Tell Robotnik I said hi."
"Damn it, FINE! I'll go back to New Mobotropolis with you!"
"Do you mean it?"
"Yes!"
"That's more like it." Sonic grinned as he placed his hands back under the tree and prepared to lift again. "One more time on three. One, Two..."
Before Sonic finished counting, there was a loud crack from behind Nack and both mobians heads shot up to see a tree falling towards the two of them. Purely out of instinct, Sonic jumped out of the way, leaving Nack on his own as the tree fell on him. Once the tree made contact, Nack let out a loud grunt of pain and went silent again.
"Dang it, Nack you okay?" Sonic exclaimed as he rolled to his feet and rushed back to the tree. Silence was all the hedgehog got for an answer. Peering under the trees, Sonic discovered that the purple weasle was now unconscious with a bloody forehead. "Great, now I'm going to have to drag you out of here."

Julie-su was getting bored now. The endless questions just kept coming without pause. Most of them, such as who and what she was, she was able to answer with ease. Others, like how she got here and why she had magical chaos residue in her, were harder to answer. But thankfully the hour and a half long interrogation was coming to a close.
"Lets go over all of this once more shall we." Celestia stated, flipping through the pages of information she had written down. Beside her, Luna was nodding off, fighting to stay awake.
Julie-su knew what was going to happen now. The white creature was going to pick random information from those pages and re-ask questions relating to them to see if there were any inconsistencies with her answers. It was a textbook interrogation technique, one she had used plenty of times with both the Dark Legion and the Chaotix.
Celestia started off by asking the simplest question first. "First off your name is...?"
"Julie-su." The echidna answered simply.
"Where are you from?"
"A planet named Mobius in the Prime Zone."
"And explain again what a Zone is." Celestias gaze shifted over to the pink echidna, watching her keenly.
"A Zone is a dimesion in the multiverse along the Cosmic Highway." Julie-su exlpained. "Each zone can be similar to another by a difference of just a few events. Others can be as different as yours and mine for example. Different events and different creatures inhabiting them entirely."
"I see." Celestia said as she turned back to her notes to scribble something down. "Do you know how you got in our 'Zone'?"
"No," The echidna said, putting two of her fingers to her one of her temples to massage it. "All I remember before waking up here, was a big flash after one of Eggman's airships cannons misfired."
"You said this Eggman was evil, correct?"
"Right." Julie-su confirmed with a nod of her head. "He's been trying to take over my world for years now, and he controls at least half of it. A few hours before I somehow appeared in this Zone, he attacked one of the towns my group of freedom fighters is aligned with named Knothole. There's nothing left."
Celestia's gaze turned to her sister and she closed her eyes, sighing. "It looks like your vision was right." Turning back to the echidna, the golden aura around Celestia's horn flashed and the papers that had been floating in front of her disappeared. "All right, I believe you. Your free to do as you wish until we can send you back home." The alicorns horn flashed once again and the echidnas bindings were gone.
"Thank you."Julie-su massaged her wrists as she stared at the princesses across from her. "But what did you say about a vision."
"Lets just say my sister knew of your existence before you even arrived." Celestia smiled as she stood up from her seat and started for the door. "Now lets go retrieve your friend before we leave."
"Leave?" Julie-su cocked an eyebrow as she started following the princess. "Where are we going?"
"Before we started interrogating you we received reports of large metal objects flying over a town named Ponyville." Celestia explained as she opened the door and led the echidna out."I have a feeling that they may be the airships you were talking about."

The tree created a dull thud as Sonic rolled it off of the other tree on top of Nack. Wiping water off his brow, as it had started to rain, the hedgehog started to cough harshly as the smoke found itself into his lungs. The coughing fit lasted a few seconds before the hedgehog expelled the last of the smoke from them. Looking back down at the trapped weasel, Sonic couldn't believe he had decided to help him.
"Your lucky I'm even doing this Nack, seeing as you've tried to kill me and my friends multiple times already." Sonic said as he crouched down and gripped the tree from below. "All right, here we go." Straining his muscles, Sonic started to lift the tree off of the weasel, but found he was only able to get it a few inches up.
"Dang it," Sonic grunted as he struggled to lift the heavy tree. "Wheres Mighty when you need him. Heck I'd even settle for…"
"What the hay!?" Said a raspy female voice from somewhere behind the hedgehog.
Looking behind him, Sonic spotted a Group of five strange looking creatures staring at him, Each of them with four legs and a pair of wings which they used to hover just above the ground. While they all seemed to be of the same species, each of them had different colored coats, ranging from a light buttery yellow to a dark ash colored black.
"What in the world?" Sonic asked himself as he tried to turn his head to get a better look, but only succeeded in almost losing his grip on the tree. Snapping his attention back to the task at hand, the hedgehog could only hope the creatures weren't hostile. Grunting he put all his strength into lifting the fallen tree he managed to raise it a few more inches before it wouldn't budge anymore. Cursing silently to himself, the hedgehog started to consider just leaving Nack here. No one would care overly much anyhow, seeing as Nack was an enemy of the Kingdom of Acorn.
Suddenly the tree seemed to weigh considerably less and was raising higher without Sonic having to lift much harder himself. Looking around, the hedgehog noticed that one of the creatures, cyan blue in color with a rainbow colored tail and hair, had its forelegs wrapped around the tree, lifting it with its wings alone. Turning its head, the creature called out to the rest of the group.
"Well, are you guys gonna help or not!" The creature said in the same raspy voice the hedgehog had heard before.
"But Rainbow, we don't even know what that thing is." The black creature in the group, who's voice was decidedly male, complained.
"I don't care what it is Thunderlane, it needs our help lifting this tree off of its friend!" The cyan creature yelled back. "Now you and Cloudchaser get over here and help us lift this thing!"
Within a half dozen seconds, the black and greyish lilac creatures the blue one had told to help grabbed the tree with their own forelegs.
"Now on three we'll lift the tree high enough for Fluttershy and Flitter to pull out the purple one." The cyan creature explained. "Ready? One, Two, Three!"
The group of creatures and Sonic started to lift the tree and eventually got it a few feet off the ground, at which point the two remaining creatures grabbed Nack and pulled him out from underneath the tree. As soon as the weasel was clear Sonic and the creatures dropped the tree, letting the large plant crash into the ground. Stepping back, Sonic rolled his shoulders a few times before looking over to the creatures who were all staring at him.
"Hey there," Sonic waved to the creatures. "Thanks for the help. Is Nack okay?"
"Nack?" The cyan one questioned. She then looked over at the yellow creature and the weasle behind her and she realized what the hedgehog was talking about. "Oh you must mean the purple one. Fluttershy how is it?"
"H-he seems to have a few cracked ribs," the yellow one replied, its voice soft and timid. "And there might be some internal bleeding as well. He needs to get to a hospital."
"All Right." Sonic aknowledged the creatures analysis and began walking over to the group. The black and two greyish lilac creatures took a step back as the hedgehog approached, while the cyan one stayed in place and the yellow one hid behind her. Upon reaching the unconscious weasel, Sonic keeled down and picked him up, being careful not to cause more damage to the weasel as he did so. Standing back up the hedgehog asked. "Do you know where the nearest hospital is?"
"There is one in Ponyville, just outside the Everfree Forest." The cyan one stated, pointing behind her.
"Great, thanks." The hedgehog smiled and started off in the direction the creature had shown him.
"Wait, you can't go there alone!" The cyan creature called out. "The other ponies in town will freak out if they see you walk in by yourself."
Sonic stopped in his tracks at what the creature had said. Not at the fact that they would be scared of him, that made sense if they were the same as the creatures beside him. It was what she had called the ones in the town he was about to go to. She called them ponies. As far as Sonic new, ponies were supposed to look similer to Sir Connary, not like the creatures in front of him.
"So, you guys are ponies?" Sonic asked.
"Well we're pegasai to be precise," the creature confirmed. "But yes, we are. Why are you asking, you must have at least seen one pony before? I mean unless... unless..."
"What is it Rainbow Dash?" The yellow pegasus questioned. "Is something wrong?"
"Maybe." The cyan pegasus squinted her eyes at the hedgehog. "But it doesn't matter at the moment. Right now we need to get that one to the hospital. Fluttershy I'm going to have you bring them into town while the rest of us stay to put out the fires."
"Wha-what?" They yellow one sounded shocked and terrified that she had been chosen for this. "W-why me?"
"Because, if you go with it everypony in town will most likely be a lot less afraid of it than if any of the rest of us go."
"B-b-but, …" The yellow pegasus cowered behind the cyan one.
"Hey, don't worry." Sonic gave the yellow pegasus a warm smile. "I dont plan on hurting anyone. All I wan't to do is get Nack some medical attention and get in contact with my friends."
"R-really?" The pegasus asked, poking her head out a bit.
"I promise."
"O-okay." She agreed and slowly came out from behind her friend. "I'm Fluttershy."
"Yeah, I already figured that out." Sonic gave a lighthearted chuckle. "My names Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog."
Sally typed furiously along the keyboard, desperately trying to make sense of the data that rolled across the monitor. Right now she was trying to decipher the remnants of the signal the exploding airship had given off with Nicole in hopes of locating Sonic and the rest of the Freedom Fighters that had disappeared with him. Though without Tails or Rotor, Sally was only just getting by.
"Do you have anything yet Nicole?" Sally asked the A.I. who was currently focusing most of her attention on the computers processes.
"I have found a little bit, but not enough to piece together where Sonic and the others went." The A.I. replied, her Mobian form's face popping up on the computer in a small square.
"Well tell me what you've found so far. Maybe I can help you figure it out?"
"Okay," Nicole agreed as she pulled up another window which had a series of numbers in it. "These numbers seem to be part of a set of coordinates."
"Have you found out where these coordinates are for?" Sally asked as she studied the numbers and noticed there were two different sets of numbers in the coordinates. One set she recognized as the longitude and latitude, while the other one was unfamilliar to her.
"Part of it yes." Nicole confirmed, centering the first set of numbers, the longitude and latitude, in the window. "I presume you know what these numbers are?"
"Yeah, Longitude and latitude."
"Well it appears that these coordinates are set right in the center of New Mobotropolis."
"Wait, there set to here?" Sally cocked an eyebrow. "But then why are the others not here?"
"Well I thought it was strange too, but that's when I caught the other set of coordinates." Shifting the numbers on the screen to the unfamilliar set of numbers. "I'm not exactly sure what these numbers stand for, but I think they might be some type of space-time coordinates."
"Space-time coordinates? What does that mean?"
"Sally." Nicole said, her voice a little unsure. "I think our friends are in a different Zone entirely."

Ponyville
Twilight and Rarity galloped through Ponyville's streets as fast as their legs would carry them, with Spike holding onto the purple unicorn's back to make sure he did not fall off as they headed towards the library. Around them many of the ponies in town were panicking because of the large metal objects that had been flying above Ponyville just a few minutes prior, some taking shelter in their homes and other buildings while others ran through the streets, hampering the two unicorns progress.
"Ohf!" Rarity grunted as a stallion with a deep blue coat and exceptionally long horn bumped into her, causing her to stumble a bit. Quickly regaining her balance she turned to Twilight and asked. "Twilight, why are we still running through this crowd? Couldn't you just teleport us to the library?"
"I can't." Twilight answered as she jumped to her side, just barely avoiding a collision with another mare.
"What do you mean you can't?" Spike asked from her back.
"I don't know, I think somethings interfering with my magic." The purple unicorn said as she focused magic into her horn. Instead of becoming a magenta aura surrounding it like usual, the magic instead shoot of in all directions like miniature fireworks. "See. The least I think I can do is a levitation spell, but only because of how adept I am with magic."
Seeing Twilight's own failed attempt, Rarity focused magic into her own horn to use her own levitation spell, only to find her horn start firing of magic like Twilight's.
"Your right!" Rarity exclaimed. "I'm not able to use my magic at all!"
"See what I mean." Twilight frowned.
The rest of the run was spent in silence as they concentrated on not slamming into the ponies running about the streets. Eventually the trio found themselves rounding the final corner before the library, the two unicorns breathing heavily as they galloped down the final stretch.
"Twilght!" Spike exclaimed, pointing at the upper part of the tree. "The window up there is broken!"
Sure enough, when Twilight looked up to where Spike was pointing, she noticed the window, located right over her bed, had been smashed in. Stopping in front of the library's door, Twilight and Rarity gave each other looks of worry while Spike jumped off the purple unicorn and gave an audible gulp.
"Well here goes nothing." Twilight said as she reached out with her magic to open the door. Pushing it open just enough to poke her head through, Twilight looked around the main floor of the library for anything unusual. Nothing."Okay, its clear." Twilight whispered back to the unicorn and baby dragon behind her.
Slowly the trio crept into the library, across the room, and up the stairs as quietly as they could until they eventually reached the door at the top of the stairs. Slowly turning the door nob with her magic, she braced herself with what waited for them on the other side.

Sweet Apple Acres
Bunnie's eyes cracked open and let the suns warm rays shine through her corneas, forcing her to shut them once more as pain pulsed through her skull. Releasing a tired moan as she brought her flesh arm to her eyelids to block out the light coming from the orb high up in the sky, she rolled over in the soft grass beneath her and tried to will away the pulsing headache she was being victimized of. Suddenly her eyes shot open, letting in the light once again as she quickly sat up, eyes and head darting around examining her surroundings. The mechanized rabbit found herself in the middle of a large field, filled with row upon row of trees that contained shiny, bright red apples.
"Where am ah?" Bunnie asked herself as she tried to stand up, but found she was incapable to move her legs. Shifting her eyes down to her roboticized half, Bunnie saw that her legs were sparking at random intervals and leaking a black fluid she recognized as oil. "That ain't good."
Looking around herself, the rabbit spotted a nearby tree a couple of feet away. Using her arms Bunnie pulled herself over to the large apple tree, resting her back against it once she arrived, thankful that her roboticized arm hadn't met the same fate as her legs. Pulling her damaged body parts closer to herself, she began examining them more thoroughly, taking note of every scratch and dent as she looked for a way to repair herself. Finding nothing of interest on the exterior apart from the cracks the oil leaked out of, Bunnie guessed that the problem must be on the inside.
Bunnie's stomach then started to make gurgling sounds, indicating that it was empty and needed to be fed. The rabbit grinned a bit at herself and rubbed her stomach.
"Well ah guess ah might as well eat somethin. I'm not goin anywhere."
Shifting her attention upwards to the tree she was leaning against, the rabbit's eyes wandered around until they settled upon an exceptionally large apple, shining in the bright sun. Raising her roboticized arm, Bunnie extended it up to the red fruit, picked it, and brought it back down.
Closing her mouth around one side of the apple, Bunnie bit down and ripped a chunk of the fruit off, accidentally letting some of its juices dribble down her chin. Chewing the piece in her mouth, she let a faint moan of satisfaction escaped her throat before swallowing.
"Yall are probably the best apple ah've ever tasted, hands down." Bunnie complimented the fruit in her hand as she sunk her teeth into it once again. She continued eating until the core was all that was left, and then placed it on the ground beside her as she began to reach up for a second one, her arm almost halfway up the tree when she was interrupted by a trio of surprised shrieks.
Snapping her head to the source of the noise, Bunnie was able to make out three tails before they disappeared behind a tree.
"Uh, Hello?" Bunnie called out, eyes fixed on the tree the tails had gone behind. "Is there someone there?" In response there was a small squeak, which was quickly muffled into scilence.
"Listen, whoever ya'll are ah don't want ta hurt ya, ah promise." The rabbit stated softley. There was a few moments of silence before a young voice that had an accent quite like Bunnies own replied.
"H-how do we know we can trust ya?" The voice called out.
"Ahm injured. I wouldn't be able ta hurt ya'll if ah wanted to." It wasn't the entire truth. While the rockets in her feet didn't work at the moment because of her damaged legs, she still had her arm cannon, but she wasn't even sure if it was in working condition.
From behind the tree came the side of a small yellow head, peering around the giant plant to take a good look at the mobian. After a moment it seemed to notice Bunnie's battered legs and the trail of oil that had come out of them, and cautiously, the small head emerged from behind the tree, revealing its quadrupedal body.
"Applebloom! What are you doing?!" Another voice, without the accent of the first and slightly more raspy, called from behind the tree.
"Shes hurt Scootaloo." The small yellow creature replied. "She needs help."
"But we don't even know what it is." The second voice called again.
"Scoots, ah know better than to judge somepony just cause of thier appearance. Ah learned that when ah first met Zecora." The creature continued her catious approach towards Bunnie. When she was just a few feet away the creature stopped and stared at the rabbits damaged legs and the oil leaking out of them.
"That looks really bad." The small creature observed, her skin paling a bit.
"It's not as bad as it seems." Bunnie explained, pressing down on her legs to prove her point. "There made completely out of steel. Can't feel a thing."
"Steel? Why do you have steel legs?" The creature asked.
"It's a long story, but now isn't really the time. Right now, we need to focus on how to fix them."
"Well what do we do?"
"Ah have no idea."

Twilight couldn't help but hold her breath as she slowly opened the door to her private study, half expecting something to jump out at her. After the door was fully opened and nothing had tried to maul her, the purple unicorn entered the room cautiously, followed closely by Spike and Rarity. The room was a mess. Shards of glass where scattered all over the floor, crunching under the hooves of the unicorns and the scaled paws of the baby dragon every few steps, as well as loose paper that had seemed to be blow everywhere and a pile of books that had fallen off one of the shelves in the room. The trio also took note that the light that they had followed here was nowhere to be seen.
"Great, our room is trashed and there's no sign of that light anywhere." Spike complained as he picked up one of the books from the pile on the floor.
"Don't let your guard down just yet Spike, it might still be around somewhere." Twilight said as she walked up to the smashed window above her bed and inspected it.
"It's a yellow and green light Twilight, I'm sure that would be pretty hard to miss." The dragon countered, tossing the book back on the pile.
"Ugh…" the pile of books moaned. This caused Spike to release a short surprised yelp and jump away from them.
"Their alive!" He yelled as he rushed over to the purple unicorn, who was in turn quickly making her way over to the pile of books with Rarity.
"The books aren't alive Spike." Twilight told the baby dragon as he hopped onto her back. "There's Somepony under them."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive Spike." Twilight confirmed by lifting some of the books with her magic to reveal a long bushy tail. "See." Removing more books from the pile and placing them in two Neat stacks, Twilight eventually uncovered the unconscious body of a two tailed yellow creature.
"That's definitely not a pony Twi." Spike commented from the mares back.
"I can see that Spike."
"It looks like a Diamond Dog." Rarity observed, stepping a bit closer. "But theres something different about it."
"Well its anatomy is similar," Twilight agreed. "But there are differances. For instance, its paws are built like those of a monkey, with four, I think there called fingers, and a Thumb. And it has two long tails instead of the normal one short tail that diamond dogs usually have."
"Not to mention it's dressed better." Rarity added.
"What?" Twilight asked, giving the fashionista an inquisitive look.
"Well look at it's clothing." The white mare pointed at the creature's shoes and gloves. "Its obvious that, even though they look a little worn down, this creature's attire was clearly chosen to be stylish as well as functional. It also keeps them cleaner than those ruffians ever would."
"Okay, that too I guess?" Twilight turned back to the creature. "Well whatever it is, we still don't know if its dangerous or not so we should probably find a way to restrain it for now. Spike, go down to the basement and try to find some rope. If I can't use my magic to restrain it then we'll have to do it the old fashioned way."
"One rope coming right up." Spike said as he jumped off the mares back and scampered out the door. Once he was gone Rarity turned to Twilight with a concerned look.
"Your not really going to tie the poor creature up are you?" She asked.
"I hope not." Twilight sighed. Flowing magic through her horn, she reached out to the unconcsious creature gently rolling it over onto its back and approached it. "I just didn't want him around when I wake it up, just in case it is dangerous."
"Wait, your waking it up now?" Rarity looked a little surprised.
"Yep, now stand back." Focusing, Twilight started to concentrate a pool of magic into the tip of her horn, though she was struggling to do so because of the magical interference in the air. Seconds passed and eventually she built up enough magic to cast the spell she needed. Placing her horn on the creatures forehead, the unicorn released the built up magic into yellow being, whose eyes immediately shot open as Twilight fell back on her haunches exhausted.
"That took more out if me than I expected." Twilight said, holding her head in her hooves, still looking at the creature.
"Ugh, what happened?" The creature asked, holding it's own head with it's paws. Suddenly the creature realized it wasn't alone and adjusted its attention to the purple mare in front of him. "What in the world?"
The two stared at each other a moment before the pony made the first move.
"Uh, hi." Twilight greeted the creature, still holding her head.
"Hi." The creature replied, managing a small wave with its paw. "Am I dreaming?"
"No your quite awake." The unicorn told the creature. She could tell it was confused by its facial expression and decided it would be best to try and befriend it before the situation took a nasty turn. "My name's Twilight Sparkle, and that's Rarity. Don't be scared, all we want to do is help."
"What are you?" The creature asked, looking over her as if it was trying to solve some type of puzzle.
"I'm a unicorn."
"A what?" The creature looked more confused than before.
"A unicorn." Twilight repeated. "You know, horns and magic."
"No I don't know." The creature explained. "I've never heard of a unicorn before."
"Well you've got two in front of you now." Twilight gave the creature a friendly smile as she stood up. Reaching a hoof out to the creature, Twilight offered to help it up. "So, whats your name?"
"Miles Prower." The creature said as it accepted Twilight hoof and pulled itself up. "Though most people just call me Tails. Where am I?"
"Well Tails, your currently in the private study slash bedroom of the Golden Oaks Library and my home, located in Ponyville, Equestria." Twilight explained, a bit of pride seeping into her voice.
"You live in a library?" Tails asked as he looked around. "Its a little trashed in here, don't you think?"
"Yeah, that might actually be because of you."
"Really?" Tails cocked an eyebrow. "How?"
"Well you see, Rarity, my assistant Spike, and me followed a strange light back here." Twilight told him. "When we got here the light was gone, the place was a mess, and we found you underneath a pile of books. My best guess is that the light was you."
"Oh, sorry I guess." Tails scratched his head in confusion. "Hey you said we were in a country named Equestria right? Where on Mobius is that exactly?"
"Mobius?" Rarity asked from behind Twilight.
"Yeah, Mobius. Its the name of the planet." Tails explained.
"Oh dear." Rarity frowned as she exchanged glances with Twilight. "Tails darling, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this planets name is Equis."
"What?!" Tails exclaimed, looking to Twilight in disbelif..
"She's right Tails, the planet is called Equis." Twilight confirmed.
"I don't belive it." Tails leaned against the bookshelf behind him for support. "D-did I get blasted through space like Sonic did, or did I get warped to some alternate Zone?"
"Wait, whats a Zone?" Twilight asked, the word sticking in her head for some reason.
"Its what we call dimensions where I'm from." Tails somberly explained. "Usually, other Zones can only be accessed by the interdimensional highway or by using a set of star posts in the Special Zones case."
"Princess Luna said something like this might happen." Twilight thought to herself out loud. "Listen Tails, I think you jumping through dimensions might be the more likely conclusion at the moment."
"Whys that?" Tails asked.
"Because, about just over a thousand years ago, my mentor placed a barrier over our world with the help of her sister." Twilight started to recount what Luna had told her to Tails. "This barrier was created to seal our world away from the rest of the multiverse to prevent our world from being threatend by outside forces. Recently the barrier started to deteriorate, threatening to pull lifeforms from other worlds through to ours. I think that may be what happened to you."
"Really?" Tails asked.
"Yes." Twilight said, trying her best to comfort him. "And if I'm right, then mabye those other lights we saw are others from your world as well."
"There were others?" Tails looked hopeful now.
"Thats right." Rarity gave him a smile. "Five others along with the six metal objects in the sky as well."
"Wait, what metal objects?" Tails asked.
"Well there were six giant metal flying objects above ponyville a little while ago." Twilight explained. "They kind of looked like a variety of big metal sea creatures. One of them exploded over the Everfree Forest while the other five crashed deeper in it."
"No. No no no no!" Tails chanted as he rushed past the unicorns and towards the smashed out window above Twilights bed, which to Twilight and Rarity's horror, he jumped out of.
"Tails!" The unicorns yelled in unison as they rushed to the window and looked out of. To both of their surprise however, Tails was hovering in the air just a dozen feet away from the tree, his tails spinning around around at high speed.
"He can fly?!" Twilight exclaimed. The gears in Twilight's head started to turn as she tried to figure out just how Tails was able to keep aloft with his tails and how his tails were able to spin like that in the first place.
Returning her head back inside, Twilight jumped off her bed and made her way outside onto the balcony her room was conected to, Rarity appearing behind her a second later.
"Tails!" Twilight called up to Tails, grabbing his attention. "Come back down here!"
Tails gave one last glance out to where he was looking before he complied to Twilight. Tails quickly decended down to where the two unicorns stood and landed, his facial expression looking very serious.
"Tails, how did you do that?" Twilight asked him. "The way you were flying by spinning your tails like that should…
"No time to explain Twilight." Tails quickly interrupted the unicorns. "Tell me where the other lights you saw are."
"Pardon me Tails, but that was quite rude how you just interrupted Twilight like that." Rarity said disapprovingly.
"Listen, I'm sorry, but we really don't have time for questions at the moment." Tails explained, his expression grim and serious. "But those big metal things are airships that are part of a fleet that destroyed my whole village down less than a day ago. If they get air born again, they'll start leveling you world without a second thought. Right now, if they do get air born, your chances of survival are slim at best. But if any of those other lights you saw turn out to be my friends, that rate will go up exponentially. Now do you know where they are or not."
Twilight and Rarity exchanged looks. Tails seemed to know what he was talking about, and if he was right niether one of the unicorns wanted to argue with him.
"The closest light landed in Sweet Apple Acres." Twilight said, pointing in the farms general direction. "Our friends Applejack and Pinkie Pie went to investigate it. If we hurry we might be able to catch up with them."
"What about the other four?" Tails asked.
"Two shot of into the Everfree Forest while the others headed off towards Canterlot." Rarity replied.
"Okay then, lets go." Tails said as he took off again. "I'll wait for you two down there."
"Right see you in a few…" Twilight started.
"Twilight!" The unicorn heard Spike call out form her room. "I found the rope! Hey where'd you guys go?"
"…seconds." Twilight finished.
"Rope?" Tails asked.

Applejack was galloping full tilt through the orchard on her family's farm with no intent on slowing down. She had heard the terrified screams of Applebloom and her friends a few minutes ago and had immediately b-lined in the direction the sound had come from, fearing they might have accidentally stumbled upon the light she and Pinkie Pie, who was keeping up just fine as she bounced alongside the cowpony, had been looking for. As they ran Applejack silently swore if any thing had happened to her sister or the other crusaders, she would find who was responsible and make them pay.
A few minutes later, the pair of earth ponies arrived in the clearing that the crusaders clubhouse was located, and Applejack had Pinkie go up and check if they were in there.
"Nope!" Pinkie called back down to the cowpony. "Nopony's here. Maybe there playing hide and seek. Ooh, I love hide and seek, we should play too. Okay, you hide, and I'll count to fifty. Ready, Go. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight…"
"Pinkie Pie, we don't have time ta play games. We're in tha middle of some'in right now!" Applejack called up to the pink earth pony.
"Aww, fine party pooper." Pinkie said, playfully blowing a raspberry down at her friend before jumping off the clubhouses porch.
"Now let's keep goin." Applejack ordered as she continued going the way they had originally been headed. "We need ta find Applebloom an her friends soon, before anything happens ta them."
"Applejack!" The earth pony heard somepony call her name. Down the way she and Pinkie were headed were two small fillies, one unicorn and one pegasus, running towards the two earth ponies as fast as they could. Within seconds the two fillies were in front of them panting and gasping for air.
"Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, what happened, and where's Applebloom?" Applejack asked the two fillies.
"Applebloom… weird creature… needs help… hate… running…" Sweetie Belle managed between gasps.
"Appleblooms in danger?!" The cowpony exclaimed, sharing a worried glance with Pinkie Pie. Before another word was said, Applejack had rocketed off down the way Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had come from, Pinkie Pie Bouncing along behind her.
"No, the creatures the one that needs help!" Scootaloo called after them. But it was already to late, the two earth ponies were already out of earshot. "Aw man, c'mon Sweetie Belle, let's go."
"Nooooo." Sweetie Belle moaned.

"So your a Rabbit?" Applebloom asked the Mobian.
"That's right, one hundred percent laporidae blood." Bunnie confirmed proudly. After Applebloom had sent her friends off for help, she had started to ask Bunnie a plethora of questions, which the rabbit answered without hesitation. It seemed to calm the little creature down and provided a way to pass the time. "Well, other than mah mechanical limbs ah guess."
"But ah thought rabbits were all small little critters like Fluttershy's pet bunny Angel." Applebloom recalled.
"Well not where ah come from we're not." Bunnie explained. "And it ain't just us rabbits either. There's hedgehogs, foxes, chipmunks, coyotes, bees, echidnas, and a whole pile'a other species."
"Really?" Applebloom looked genuinely intrested now, her eyes looked like they were literally shining. "What about ponies? Are thier any of us where you came from."
"Yeah, ah guess so, though ah've never actually met one before." Bunnie told the little pony. "The closest person to a pony ah've ever met was Sir Connary. May his soul rest in peace."
"Oh, ahm sorry, I didn't know."
"It's okay, he died heroically, sacrificing his life ta save a friend of mine." Bunnie said, a tear slipping down her cheek. "If he hadn't, she might not be with us today."
"I'm so sorry, ah know what it's like to lose somepony you care about." Applebloom said as she walked over to the rabbit and sat down. "Ah was still a little foal so ah don't remember what happened, but ah lost mah ma and pa in a horrible accident."
"You mean your an orphan?" Bunnie asked her.
"No, ah still got Granny Smith and mah older siblings Big Macintosh and…"
"Applebloom!" Bunnie heard someone shout. Looking up to the scource of the scorce of the voice, the mobian spotted two more larger ponies coming their way. One was orange and wore a stetson hat much like her own, while the other was pink and had hair that strangly reminded her of cotton candy.
"Applejack, Pinkie Pie!" Applebloom called out to the newcomers, happily waving to them.
"Applebloom, git away from that thing!" The orange one yelled.
"What, why?" Applebloom questioned the larger pony.
"Because ah said so. Now get your flank over here missy."
"Ya'll best listen to her applebloom," Bunnie suggested to the little creature. "Ah don't want ta git ya'll in trouble."
Applebloom hesitated for a moment, glancing between Bunnie, who's composure was calm and collected, and the orange pony, who was glaring daggers at the rabbit. After a few seconds, Applebloom decided to listen to the two stetson wearing beings and made her way to the orange and pink ponies.
"If ya'll put even one scratch on my little sisters hide, ah swear ah'll buck ya all the way to tartauros!" The orange pony yelled at the mobian before turning her attention back to Applebloom. "Are you okay sugarcube?"
"Ahm fine Applejack, but she's…"
"Hiya, I'm Pinkie Pie!" The pink pony exclaimed, somehow appearing right in front of Bunnies face in an instant.
"Gah!" The rabbit exclaimed in shock, recoiling from the sudden close proximity of the pink pony, and slammed her head back into the tree behind her. Clucthing the back of her head, the Mobian cursed a few times under her breath.
"Oh gosh, I'm super duper sorry about that." The pink pony apologized. "I didn't mean for you to go and bump your head like that, I just got really, really, really excited because it's not every day that somepony new comes to ponyville, and it's even rarer that the new ponies not even a pony at all, what are you anyways, I've never seen something like you before, I mean you've got long floppy ears like a rabbit, but rabbits are small and cute and fluffy, not that your not cute, your actually kind of cool looking, mabye your some type of mutated alien rabbit from those other dimensions Twilight was talking about, a dimension where small cutsey animals evolved into big cool looking ones like you, probbably from some sort of radiation like in the comic books, and…"
"Pinkie Pie, stop pesterin it." The orange pony interrupted her pink companion.
"Okie dokey lokie!" The pink one obliged and bounced away.
"She didn't even stop to breath." Bunnie mummered aloud as she rubbed her head.
"Sorry 'bout that, Pinkie has a tendency ta keep talkin for ages if nopony stops her." The orange pony said as she approached the Mobian. "Listen, while Pinkie was talkin your head off, Applebloom explained what was goin on. Ah thought she was in danger earlier, and ah think ah came off as a little hostile, so ah just wanted to say ah was sorry, ahm usually a lot more levelheaded."
"It's fine." Bunnie continued to rub the back of her head. "If ah had a little sister an ah thought she was in danger, ah would have acted the same way."
"So no hard feelin's ?"
"Nah, we're good."
"The names Applejack by the way." The orange pony smiled and held out a hoof.
"Bunnie D'coolette." The rabbit replied and took the ponies hoof and shook it.

Snively sat in the chair that was located in the middle of the airships bridge, typing away furiously at the command console in the chairs arms as he tried to get the airships communication networks back online. The overlander had been sitting there for about two hours, ever since the airship itself had stopped shuddering underneath him from the crash. He didn't have the same intellect as his uncle, but he was smart enough to rival both Tail's and Rotor, which he reveled in as the network booted up in front of him.
"Finally!" The overlander exclaimed in relief. Swiftly he pulled up a communications channel that he never thought he would have used in normal circumstances and a window popped up, requesting a password and the users vocal conformation. Speaking into his headset he said "This is Snively Robotnik, requesting cross zone communications with Mobius Prime, New Megaopolis's Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. Password S-U-E-A-06."
The screen blinked green once in confirmation before it began working on the overlanders request. As the network processed the information, Snively couldn't help but silently praise his uncle for having the foresight to even program the system for cross zone communication. After a few seconds his uncles face appeared on the screen.
"Snively!" The oversized overlander basically yelled through the speakers. "Where have you been?! I've been trying to locate my flagship for hours!"
"I have no idea where I am Uncle Robotnik, but the sensors are telling me I'm not on Mobius anymore." Snively replied. Thanks for the concern. He thought sarcastically.
"Well if your not on Mobius, then where are you?" Eggman growled, clearly not happy with his nephew.
"Like I would know that."
"Watch what you say when your talking to me Snively." Eggman glared through the screen. "Just because I'm not there, doesn't mean your safe from my reach."
As if on cue, two of the Egg Pawns on the bridge turned, walked up beside Snively, a stood there threateningly. Snively gulped as he got the message.
"Understood Sir." Snively said, trying to ignore the robots beside him.
"Good, make sure it stays that way." Eggman grinned menacingly at Snively. "Now, while I find a way to get you back here, I want you to launch some surveillance drones to do reconnaissance around your immediate area. See if there is anything worth bringing back. And send me a report on the ships status as well."
"I already launched some drones over a half hour ago." Snively told his uncle as he typed a command into the chairs console. "I'm sending over the report and initial findings now."
Something on his uncles end beeped, drawing Eggmans attention away for a few moments.
"Interesting." Eggman said, looking at the data he had received. "These quadrupedal beings, do they seem like a threat?"
"That,s unclear sir. Some of them seem like they have wings and can fly. Other than that nothing stands out." Snively informed his uncle.
"Hmmm…" Eggman stroked his mustache thoughtfully. "There seems to be three main species among them. Grab a few of each for testing. I want to see what makes them tick."
"At once Sir."
"Oh, and Snively." Eggman continued. "Don't ever crash any of my ships again. There will be consequences next time."

Bunnie couldn't help let the embarassed blush run across her cheeks because of her current position. Right now she was sitting in a small bright red wagon as the group of creatures, that she discovered called themselves ponies, pulled her through the apple orchard that apperently belonged to Applejack and her family. Earlier, they had all agreed to move Bunnie to a more suitable place, that place decidedly being Applejack's barn for the time being. Applejack had said that they would have brought her to her house, but they had no idea how one of her family members named Granny Smith would react. They had then grabbed the red wagon she was now in, which Applebloom revealed was her and her two friends main mode of transportation, and began making their way through the orchard.
That was ten minutes ago. Now they were at the orchards fringe and Bunnie could make out a large red barn and a smaller farmhouse connected to it through the trees. The rabbit hypothesized that this was there destination. Stopping just outside the treeline, Applejack turned back to Bunnie and smiled.
"Well Bunnie, this is it." Applejack started, her voice filled with pride. "Welcome to Sweet Apple Acres, home of Equestria's most delicious apples."
"This is a nice righ' place ya got here." Bunnie complimented the orange pony. "But ya sound kind of egotistical when ya'll say that yer apples are the best in your country. That must not sit well with the competition."
"There ain't no competition." Applejack explained as she continued on towards the barn. "The Apple Family are the only apple farmers in Equestria. We started here in lil ol' Ponyville, which mah family helped found by the way, an' spread out across tha rest Equestia ta increase business around the country. An' we've always made sure our apples are top quality an nothin less. What about you, what do ya'll do for a livin'?"
"Well ahm not sure about mah blood family, havn't seen them in years, but me an' mah husband are Freedom Fighters." Bunnie relpied, staring at the ring on her roboticized hands ring finger. Oh Antoine, ah hope your safe. The rabbit thought to herself.
"Whats a Freedom Fighter?" Applebloom asked from beside the rabbit as they entered the barn doors. Her friends were beside her to, but still kept a bit of distance between themselves and the mobian.
"Freedom Fighters are groups of people like mah'self that have taken on the responsibility of protecting our world from evil people that try ta take it over." Bunnie explained to the young filly.
"So yer like some kind'a hero?" Applebloom questioned. This caused Bunnie to chuckle lightly.
"Nah, ahm not ah hero." Bunnie denied. "Ahm just ah farm girl that won't stand on the sidelines as her worlds destroyed by madmen."
"Sounds pretty heroic if ya ask me. Noble too." Applejack said as she stopped the wagon beside a bale of hay and walked back to stand beside the rabbit, offering Bunnie a hoof. "C'mon girl, lets get ya out ah there."
Giving the pony her unroboticized arm, Bunnie lifted herself out of the wagon with her arms and the help of Applejack, and sat on the hay bale. As she sat there, Bunnie looked around the barn, observing every detail of the large building. The bottom level was a single completely open room that held an array of farming equipment. From a large wagon that was most likely meant to haul large amounts of apples at a time, to a large rusted plow and a few saws that were probably ment for cutting down trees when they died, the barn seemed to be filled with the tools that Applejack and her family used to tend the farm. There also appeared to be a second floor that took up the whole top half of the barn. Bunnie couldn't see what was up there, but she guessed that it was part of the main house.
Bunnie looked around a bit more until she noticed something. The pink pony wasn't among them anymore.
"Hey Applejack, where did yer friend Pinkie Pie run of to?" Bunnie asked confused.
"Oh, ah just sent her ta find Twilight." Applejack told her.
"Who's Twilight?"
"One of mah best friends." Applejack replied. "Ah realized that ah normal doctor might not be able ta help ya, so ah thought that Twi might be able ta help. She's in ta all that sciencey stuff, an' shes really, really smart, so who better ta ask."
"Makes sense ah guess." Bunnie said stretching her flesh arm behind her back. "How long do we haf'ta wait?"
"Shouldn't be that long. Ten, twenty minutes tops."

Road to Sweet Apple Acres
"I still can't belive you were going to tie me up." Tails complained as he hovered alongside the two unicorns while they walked down the dirt path that led to Applejack's Farm.
Ever since Spike had returned with the rope he had gotten from the basement of the library, Tails had been fuming after finding out they had planed to tie him up. Twilight had managed to explain that it was only in case if Tails ended being a threat, and since he wasn't, they didn't need to.
"I said I was sorry, it was only a backup plan." Twilight said as she looked up at the two tailed creature. "How would you react if a strange creature from another dimension showed up in your home?"
"Thats a fair point," Tails replied as he landed beside the unicorn and started walking with them. "But don't you think that could cause more problems than it would solve?"
"I guess so." Twilight turned away from Tails and stopped walking. "But I didn't know what you were, and I was kind of freaking out in my head so I wasn't thinking straight at the time. I really am sorry."
Out of the corner of her eye, Twilight saw the two tailed creature stare her down, deep in thought. After a few seconds, his hardend face melted away to a friendly smile as he held out his paw.
"I guess I can't really stay mad at you for doing what you thought was right. C'mon lets start over."
"Sure." Twilight smiled back as she placed her hoof in his paw.
Hiya Twilight!" A pink earth pony exclaimed as it appeared beside the purple out of nowhere. Both Twilight and Tails yelped and fell on their backsides in surprise, each of their hearts now beating a million miles an hour thanks to the pink ponies sudden appearance.
"Pinkie!" Twilight yelled at the pony in front of her. "Please stop doing that!"
Unfortunately for the unicorn, the pink pony ignored her in favor of the bipedal canine on the ground beside her.
"Oooh, who are you?" Pinkie grinned as she got what Twilight would feel as uncomfortably close to Tails' face. "Now we can have a second party, so whats your name, mine's Pinkie Pie, but you probably already figured that out since Twilight just yelled it out, how did you end up with her anyway, and where did Rarity and Spike go…
"Pinkie!" Twilight yelled at the pink pony again. Once the unicorn was sure she had her friends attention she continued in as less harsh tone. "Right now isn't a good time for this."
"Why not Twilight?" Pinkie asked the unicorn.
"Remember those big metal things that flew over ponyville a few hours ago?" Twilight asked. She got a nod from the earth pony in response. "Well Tails here say's that there dangerous. So now we're looking for that light that shot off this way because we think that it might actually be one of his friends. Please tell me you found it."
"Well we didn't find a light," Pinkie told the two. "But we did find an alien that looked kind of like your new friend here, but different. Her left arm and bottom half are made of metal, her ears are really long and her name is…
"Thats Bunnie!" Tails exclaimed, jumping to his feet.
"Wow, thats what I was gonna say. are you some type of mind reader?" Pinkie asked the creature.
"No, I'm not a mind reader." Tails answered her question before quickly asked his own. "Where is she?"
"We brought her back to the barn at Sweet Apple Acres." Pinkie pointed down the road in the direction that Twilight and Tails had been heading in the first place. "We had to use Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle's wagon to pull her there because her legs were really banged up for some reason."
Tails said nothing in response. He just started running down the road towards the farm, taking off into the air after a couple of strides.
"Tails, wait up!" Twilight exclaimed, galloping off after him.
"He can fly?! Thats so cool!" Pinkie squeed as she bounded off after the two.

It didn't take long for the mobian, the unicorn, and her friend to reach the the barn. Once Tails had spotted the building he had instantly doubled his speed, making Twilight struggle just to keep up while her friend, Pinkie Pie, was able to bounce along beside him without a problem, and even got in front of him once they got close.
"I found her Applejack!" Pinkie called out as she opened the barn and entered it. Tails followed her in and spotted his half roboticized friend. Twilight came in a few seconds later.
"Bunnie!" Tails exclaimed as he hovered over to the rabbit.
"Tails?" The rabbit gaped, looking surprised to see the him. "What are ya'll doin' here?"
"I came looking for, well, you I guess." Tails explained. He then pointed to the purple unicorn who was gasping for breath by the barn doors.
"Ya guess?" Bunnie asked raising her eyebrow.
"Heh, yeah well I didn't exactly know it was you until Pinkie came along."
"Who the hay is this?" Another creature that looked like Pinkie and Twilight asked from behind him. Looking over his shoulder, Tails saw it was hornless like Pinkie, but had an orange coat, blonde hair, and wore a stetson similar to Bunnies.
"Thats… Tails." Twilight panted. "I found him… at the library… Say hi Tails." As the unicorn finished, she flopped back on her haunchs and started to take long deep breaths.
"Hi." Tails said to the orange one, giving a small wave of his hand before tuning back to Bunnie and started to look at her legs.
"Howdy." The orange one said walking up to him, but not before checking on the unicorn. "Ya gonna be alright Twi?"
"I'll… be fine" Twilight panted. "Just… just give me… a few minutes… and… I'll be right there."
"Okay Sugarcube, just take it easy for now." Applejack said, turning back to the mobian.
"How is it?" Bunnie asked the younger mobian.
"Pretty bad, but not unfixable." Tails replied as he examined the exposed robotics in the legs. "I'll need proper equipment to fix them completely, but if I do this… there now try moving them."
The rabbit followed his orders and tried to move her damaged limbs. She was pleasently surprised to see that she could move her legs now. slower than normal and with less prescision, but they were moving.
"Ah can move them again!" Bunnie whooped and pulled Tails into a hug. "Yur ah lifesaver Tails.
"Well would ya look at that." Applejack happilly praised the mobian. "How'd ya know how ta do this?"
"It was nothing," Tails blushed a little. "I did help build her legs after all. All I had to do was increase the pressure in the hydrolics systems, calibrate them to react at a lower level of movement, and do a bit of rewiring. She'll move slower until I can fix them properly, but this is better than nothing."
"Ah have no idea what ya jus' said." Applejack replied looking to Bunnie for an explination, but she just shrugged. Before anything else was said, something burst into the barn, destroying most of the half open doors and kicking up a cloud of dirt, obscuring everyones vision. There was coughing and hacking heard from the group as the dirt floated around the room, before it quickly started to settle down. In the settling dust was a cyan and rainbow colored creature like the others, but with wings, struggling to get on its feet.
"Rain*hack* Rainbow?" Twilight sputtered, recognizing the newcomer. "What are you doing?!"
"Twilight!" The cyan creature exclaimed, rushing up to the unicorn. "Listen, me and a few of the pegasai I brought with me were on our way back to town to resupply on rainclouds. We got about halfway here when… when… uh, who are they?" She asked, pointing at the two mobians.
"Well that ones Tails." Twilight said, motioning to the younger mobian. "Rarity, Spike, and myself found him in the library when we went to look for that light. The other ones name is Bunnie. Applejack and Pinkie found her here at the farm."
"Actually, It was Applebloom an' her freinds that found 'er in the orchard." Applejack corrected.
"Yeah, and then Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle found and told us where she was, then we brought her here in the crusaders' wagon, and then I went to find Twilight, who had Tails with her and I brought them back here where Tails fixed bunnies legs, and then you showed up." Pinkie added, recounting all the events that had happened in the last hour.
"Right." Rainbow said, drawing out the word until it appeared her brain had caught up with pinkies explination. "Anyways, nice to meet you two, the names Rainbow Dash, Equestrias Fastest Flier."
"Hi." Tails waved, grinning at the way Rainbow puffed up with pride as she introduced herself. She almost reminded him of Sonic.
"Howdy, the pleasures all mine." Bunnie smiled and tipped her hat.
"Now Rainbow, what was it you were saying?" Twilight asked.
"Well we were almost here when I spotted some weird metal creatures walking through the forset, taking orders from another pointy muzzled creature floating in a ball." Rainbow explained in a hurry. "I caught a bit of what it was saying, and it didn't sound good. Something about capturing test subjects in a nearby settelment, and since Ponyvilles the closest town to the Everfree…"

Outside the Everfree Forest
Sonic had to sheild his eyes as he and the Fluttershy exited the forest, causing him to almost drop the weasel on his back. The hedgehog was surprised to see it was the middle of the day and not night like he had thought while he was in the forest. In front of him, about half a mile away was a small, cozy looking little town that was filled with brick buildings with straw thatched roofs.
"So this is Ponyville?" Sonic asked the pegasus beside him. "Looks like a nice little town." Fluttershy didn't answer the hedgehog audibly, she just nodded her head and avoided looking at him. This was how the entire walk through the forest had been. Sonic would try to strike up a conversation with the pegasus to pass the time, only to have her shy away from him.
"Which ways the hospital?" Sonic ignored the pegasai's shy demeanor. He wasn't going to force her to talk if she didn't want to.
"That way." Fluttershy replied, barely audible, pointing in a direction about fifteen degrees th there right. "It's on the other side of the town."
"Alright, lets get going."
Before either the mobian or pony moved from their spot, the weasel on Sonic's hacked and spat up blood on the hedgehogs shoulder.
"Nice." Sonic said irritably, as he wiped as much of it off as he could. Turning back to the yellow pegasus beside him he stated. "Listen we should probably pick up the pace. How fast can those wings carry you?"
"Not very." She mumbled.
"Then can you hold onto me?"
"W-why?" The pegasus stuttered.
"I'll show you, come on." The hedgehog offered her a hand. Hesitantly, the pegasus reached out and placed her hoof into the hedgehogs palm. Grasping her hoof firmly, the hedgehog blasted off without warning, causing the pegasus to give off a small 'eep', and sped off towards the town, and soon though it at extreme speeds.
As he ran he took in the sights of the buildings and ponies he passed. There were buildings built to look like a carousel, a gingerbread house, a tree that had windows and a door, along with a big blue box that had the word 'police' written on it sitting off to one side of the street. He also noticed that the ponies in town werent all pegasai. Some of them had horns sticking out of there forheads instead of wings on there sides, and others had neither. He didn't find this completely odd, he had put together he was in another zone already, but he decided to ask someone about it later. In just a few seconds the trio had made it across the town to the building Sonic guessed was the hospital, seeing how there was a large red cross with hearts on the sign in front of it. Not slowing down, Sonic ran through the doors and stopped in front of the reception counter with Fluttershy frozen beside him in shock.
Probably should have warned her about how fast I am. the hedgehog though to himself as he turned to the startled pony behind the counter. The pony was a soft white with a head of pink hair that was tired into a bun at the back of her head which match her tail. On her thighs were marks that matched the cross and hearts on the sign outside.
"Hi there." Sonic greated the white pony with a smile. "Listen, my aquaintince here was trapped under some logs and broke some ribs. We think there might be some internal bleeding too. Do you think you could help him?"
The pony didn't respond right away. She just sat there for a few seconds, looking at the hedgehog like he was some type of monster that would lash out and eat her any second. Then she noticed Fluttershy beside him and her expression changed from fear and confusion to what seemed to be half curiosity, half relief.
"Of course," she turned back to the hedgehog and looked at the weasel on his back. "Just follow me and we'll get him into the operating room."
The mare then dropped down from her seat and lead the hedgehog to a room down a hallway to the left, while Fluttershy stayed behind. Once they entered the room, she told Sonic to carfully place Nack down on a bed that was in there and called in one of the horned ponies she called Dr. Stable.
He didn't react to seeing the hedgehog and the weasel the same way that the mare had. He was more profesional about it, approaching them without hesitation, but with caution in his steps. He looked over Nack for a second before asking Sonic what the hedgehog could tell him about the weasel's anatomy.
Sonic explained all that he knew about the basic mobian body, which wasn't very much, but enough to go by. He told the horned pony where most of the major organs were located in the body, and what he knew of the circulitory system. After sonic was finished, Dr. Stable thanked him and had the mare, who he addressed as Nurse Redheart, escort him back to the waiting room where Fluttershy was waiting for him.
"How's your friend?" Fluttershy asked as the hedgehog approached. She seemed to be over her initial shock from him dragging her her as fast as he did and had sat down on a bench in the lobby. "Will he be alright?"
"The doc said that they'll do what they can," Sonic said sitting down next to her. "Which I guess is the best we can hope for since I assume there's no doctors here that know how to treat Mobians."
"What's a Mobian?"
"Mobians are the dominate race in my zone." Sonic told the yellow pegasus. "Its belived that we evolved from small little animals to what we are now because of some type of mutation in our genes that fused them with overlander DNA because if something called a 'Gene Bomb'."
"I'm sorry, I don't think I understand."
"Heh, don't ask me," the hedgehog chuckled. "I barely understand it myself."
There was a few seconds of scilence between the hedgehog and the pegasus before Fluttershy picked the conversation back up.
"So you really are a hedgehog?" Fluttershy asked, staring at the hedgehog curiously.
"Yep." Sonic answered her as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Wow, what other kinds of Mobians are there?"
"Well Nack back there is a weasel, but there are thousands of other species like…"
Sonic never got to finish his scentence as the front doors of the hospital were thrown open by a mint green pony with a horn, followed by a cream colored pony carrying an unconscious grey pegasus. A magenta horned pony and a smaller greyish horned pony entered just after them, the little one balling its eyes out.

In an instant Nurse Redheart was with the group of five ponies that had just come in. The first two ponies she recognized were Lyra Heartstrings and Bon Bon. The hospital had a history with Lyra. She used to come once a week for therapy because her marefriend Bon Bon had gotten worried about her obsession with the mythical creatures called Humans. She had eventually come to terms with her obsession and had been told she was free to stop seeing her therapist a few months ago.
The second set of ponies were Ditzy Doo, Dinky Doo, and Amythest Star. Ditzy and her family had a history with the hospital as well, but it had been more for the constant injuries the wall eyed pegasus sustained when crashing into things.
"Lyra, Bon Bon, what happened to her?" The nurse asked as she walked up to the cream colored earth pony.
"There's a bunch of metal monsters out there attacking the town!" Bon Bon said, sounding very panicked. "They came out of nowhere and started rounding us up, saying that we were now slaves of the Eggman Empire or someting like that."
"They attacked mom when she tried to stop them from taking Dinky." Amythest Explained, holding her little sister as she tried to comfort the young sobbing unicorn.
"Don't worry Dinky, your moms going to be fine." Nurse Redheart crouched down and gave the young unicorn a warm smile to try and help calm her down.
"Luckily Princess Celestia showed up with a bunch of royal guards and two weird creatures, letting a bunch of us escape." Lyra continued for the Bon Bon. "We picked up Ditzy and her kids while we were escapeing and came here to get her medical attention."
"Were there anymore wounded when you left?" Nurse Redheart asked.
"No," Bon Bon shook her head. "After Ditzy was knocked unconscious, everypony started to cooperate with them. Nopony wanted to get hurt."
"Well don't worry," Nurse Redheart said, leading the three ponies through the lobby and towards the hallway She had just gone down. "With the Princess here keeping them occupied, we should be…"
There was a loud crashing noise from behind the mares as a group of the metel monsters burst in through the hospital doors. Dinky let out a high picthed scream at the sight of the monsters who spread out among the hospital's lobby.
"They followed us?!" Amethyst cried out, instictivly putting her sister in a protective death grip.
"This land has been claimed by Dr. Eggman of the Eggman Empire." One of the monsters proclaimed, pointing something at the group of ponies. "You will surrender and wait to be transported to…"
The monster never got to finish its sentence as a spinning blue object slammed into the side of the monsters head, knocking it clean off. This continued with the rest of the monsters in the lobby as well, until all that was left of them were piles of scrap metal littering the floor. Standing in the middle of the wreakage was the bipedal creature that Nurse Redheart had just assisted, looking at the remains of the monsters it had destroyed before bolting out the hospital doors without a thought.
"Mr. Sonic, Wait!" A canary yellow pegasus called out following the creature.
"W-w-what was that? And w-why was Fluttershy with it?" Bon Bon stuttered, she and the rest of the remaining staring in bewilderment at the carnage in front of them.
Darkness. Thats all you see as you enter the abandoned, destroyed remains of Freedom Fighter headquarters. The attack on Knothole had been harsh, and the only reason that you haden't been captured with the rest of the village was because you had hid in a fridge once the bombardmen't had ended. After you were certain that the attack was over you had climbed out of the mangled metal box you were in and beheld the ruins of your once beautiful home, burnt to the ground and unrecognizeable. After searching for some form of life after hours you had finally come upon the underground headquarters of Knotholes protecters, collapsed and abandoned.
Now, after an hour or so of digging your way in, you stood in the middle of a destroyed lab, only one light on a small tablelike device still flashing. Curious, you reach out and press the button located just below the light, and a 3d image of a female Lynx spings up and begins to talk.
"Hey there Bronies, Nicole here with an update for you guys. You see, the writer, Gigawatt, is hard at work trying to reorganize the story so that it moves more smoothly, but, its not going very well. With attending school and trying to find a job, which he fortunatly now has, he has felt far to stressed to do much about the story, which is why I'm requesting for help for him. We've disscused how to go about this for a while now and we think we have come up with a reasonable solution for the time being. For the next week, Gigawatt will be looking for helpers who will have two jobs between all of you. The first job is to be a Pre-reader/editor for him, finding small mistakes in the story that he himself missed and give him advice on how to improve on the story. The second job is to help him plan out the story itself, forming the basis of a new plotline that will blend in with the current chapters that are out. Credit will be given to those who decide they want to help, and if they are okay with it, will have their OC's featured in small, non-story oriented cameos, mabye taking lead roles in a two-three chapter ark. The openings will stay there until Friday, November 22 ,at which point if no one has offered to help the story will be canceled and probably taken off the site permanently. As the image flickers out of existance, leaving you slighty confused at the message. You reach for the button again, hoping that what you just saw would be explained in more detail, but the table just sparks and begins to quickly release a plume of smoke that makes its way inside you. Coughing the poisoned air out of your lungs you leave the room behind and start searching the rest of the base, but find nothing else. Exasperated with your lack of luck you climb out of the ruined headquarters, hoping that with time a friendly face will make itself known to you.
Julie-Su nervously leaned over the side of the chariot, watching the ground rush by below her and the occasional cloud crossed her vision. She wasn't afraid of heights or flying, living on Angel Island made sure of that, but falling to her death was a different matter. The chariot felt unnatural beneath her feet, swaying in the wind slightly much like a ship would on the open waters, and the open back made her feel like she could slip out at any moment.
Looking slightly above her, and to the right of the chariot, she saw Luna, a Princess she had learned, flying along beside her, opting not to ride with the Mobians so they would have a comfortable amount of room. Her sister, Celestia flew alongside them as well, above and to the left, but a but more distant, giving the echidna the impression that she still wasn't completely trusted.
"So, how exactly are we not falling?" The echidna asked the navy blue alicorn, deciding to scratch the itch in her brain. "You know, seeing how this thing doesn't even have wings."
"Wings?" Luna looked at the mobian confused. "Why would it need wings?"
"Well I don't know much about aerodynamics, seeing as I was raised to be a soldier, but I do know that you need to create lift to get something off the ground, be it propellers or wings."
"I do not know what ‘Propellers’ are, but I can assure you that chariots do not require wings of their own while they are attached to a pegasus." Luna explained, gesturing to the duo of armor clad pegasai pulling the chariot. "A pegasai's magic makes itself lighter than a feather, which is passively passed on to whatever they are touching, allowing them to fly with objects that normally have to stay on the ground."
"So that's how they can get off the ground." A familiar purple chameleon spoke up from the other side of the chariot, sitting at its back end meditating, and drew the attention of both the females. "I had assumed that the pegasai had hollow bones like birds, but I see that I was wrong."
"So he can speak?" Luna lightheartedly joked.
"Yeah, he tends to stay quiet on most occasions. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with him being a ninja."
"A Ninja?" The alicorn looked at Espio in surprise.
"Shinobi is the proper term," The Chameleon corrected, opening his sharp yellow eyes for a moment to look at the princess. "but yes, I am a ninja."
"Fascinating." Luna said as she flew a little closer to the chariot. "I read about the ninjas of our own world rise during my thousand years on the moon, but I never thought I would meet any, and certainly never one from another world."
"Wait, a thousand years on the moon?" Julie looked at Luna, shock and surprise on her face. "What were you… How?"
"It is not something I like to converse about." Luna replied Somberly.
"But a Thousand years. How old are you?"
"A few millennia at least. I lost track after…
The dark alicorn was interrupted as she gasped and banked hard to the right, narrowly avoiding an energy bolt that shot through the air where her previous flight path would have taken her. All the pegasai and the two alicorns stopped mid air, except for the two who were connected to the chariot, who banked sharply and began to fly in a small circle to prevent their passengers from falling out. The ponies began to frantically search their surroundings, examining the sky as the tried to find who would dare attack the princess of the night. One of the guards, a dark pegasus with what appeared to be bat wings called out first.
"Contacts! Twelve O'clock low!" The batpony shouted, pointing in the direction it had indicated. "About Thirty of them and their heading straight for us!"
"Good eye Lieutenant." Luna praised the Bat pony before turning to face the enemy. She was not expecting what she saw. Two an a half dozen metallic creatures were making their way towards the company of ponies, firing beams of deadly energy which got more accurate the closer they got, and almost clipped the alicorns wings a few times.
Unwilling to take any casualties to this ambush, the dark alicorn lit her horn up in a blue aura, forming a shield in front of the group that absorbed the shots. Meanwhile, Celestia's own horn was glowing a brilliant gold, and magic shards began to materialize around her, forming a curtain of golden razors.
"Luna, drop the shield!" Celestia commanded. In an instant the shield dissipated into a blue fog that obscured each party from from the other. The moment the barrier was gone, Celestia rose her horn and swept it downwards quickly in a striking motion, sending the magic shards around her towards the machines at a blinding speed.
Each shard hit its mark, effectively ripping through the dense metal of the robots, and tearing them apart. What remained of the machines plummeted to the ground far below, where they would likely shatter on impact, leaving little to no evidence of what they might have been.
"What were those creatures?" Luna asked, bemused at the machines appearance.
"E-1002 Egg Flappers." Julie replied from her spot in the chariot, which was still circling the group in tight loops. "There the main aerial troops in Eggman's army. But how did they get here? Did they follow us somehow?"
"The energy wave that hit us was quite large," Espio said, sliding a kunai that he had taken out back under his arm brace. "Its not unreasonable to assume that it brought some of Eggman's robots across the multiverse as well."
"I guess." The Echidna said thoughtfully, holstering her pistol. "If that's the case, then there may be more badniks elsewhere, and maybe even some of the civilians from Knothole came through too."
"Then we should hurry," Espio agreed, "there,s no telling how many of Eggmans robots and Knothole civilians got through. The question is where do we start looking."
"If I may intervene?" Celestia said, drawing their attention. "I think we might have an idea of where to go."
"Really?"
"Yes, if I'm not mistaken those ‘Egg Flappers’ came from the direction we were headed, from a small town that goes by the name of Ponyville." Celestia explained, scanning the horizon.
"Is that where we were going before we were attacked?" Julie-Su asked.
"Yes." The white alicorn turned back to them. "I had a feeling that there might be some answers to how you arrived in our world there."
"What, why?"
"Because there were reports of a bright flash coming from over the town, and Luna and I can feel a large magical distortion coming from that direction as well."
"In any case, If Eggman's robots are in that town then its inhabitants are in danger." Espio said, his voice filled with a sense of urgency. "We should get moving as fast as we can."
"Agreed." Celestia nodded. "Luna, take two of your guards and head back to Canterlot. Organize the guard and send a detachment to Ponyville as quickly as possible. And send Discord as well."
"Wait, What, Discord!" Luna looked shocked. "Why in the world would you possibly want him there? "
"Yes, I have a feeling we might need his help." Celestia nodded again.
"Help?" The lunar alicorn said in disbelief. "Sister, that foul cretin can not be trusted! Especially after the torture he put us though the last few weeks."
"Luna, those were harmless pranks."
"That he pulled off during public affairs!" Luna argued. "And what about the giant gummy arachnid he let loose in the castle during they diplomatic meeting with the griffons?"
"Wait, What?" Julie-Su looked at the sisters for an explanation to what she had just heard, though she did not receive one as Luna continued.
"That was hardly harmless! He sent thirteen guards to the infirmary and almost single-handedly ruined relations between Equestria and Gryf!" Luna recounted the events that had occurred a few weeks prior.
"And he was properly punished for it." Celestia said, not letting Lunas reminders get to her.
"I still don't think spending thirty seconds inside the core of the sun wasn't sever enough."
"Luna, please," The solar princess sighed. "I don't trust him either but we may need him."
"But sister…" Luna begged, but was stopped by her sister.
"No Luna." Celestia said with finality in her voice. "Now get back to the Castle."
"Fine!" Luna reluctantly obeyed, knowing that she could not change her sisters mind. "But when he stabs you in the back and pushes you into a vat of molten licorice filled with pony-eating Parana's, don't come crying to me!"
"So what was that about a giant gummy spider?" Julie asked, extremely curious.
"Trust me, the less you know about that abomination the better." Celestia told the Echidna, as she tried to block out that horrible memory. "We should get going. I'm worried about the condition of Ponyville."

10 minutes after Egg Flapper ambush
"We cannot believe our sister would want the help of that foul draconaquis over our self!" Luna ranted as she landed on the balcony that led to her quarters. Pushing the glass pane doors open she stomped into her bedroom before turning around to see the two bat pony guards she had brought with her land as well.
"Silver Wing! Black Wind!" The lunar princess called to them, probably a little louder than she should have, because the two flinched away from her as she did so.
"Yes your majesty?" The two bat ponies said as they bowed.
"Silver, head down to the barracks and put the guard on high alert." Luna ordered the mare to her left. "Anypony on leave is to return to duty immediately. Go."
"As you wish Princess." The mare replied. The bat pony then turned around and jumped out the balconies open doors, spreading her wings to glide away. Once the mare was gone Luna turned her attention towards the remaining Bat Pony Stallion.
"Black Wind," Luna began, her voice still exceptionally loud. "Thou are to retrieve Captains Gadget Bolt, Flame Spinner, and Aquamarine. Once thou find them, bring them here post-haste."
"As you wish." The stallion replied before he too left through the balcony door.
With the two lunar guards gone to do their tasks, Luna bit her lower lip. What she needed to do next she was against, for it would mean she would have to let a creature she didn't and never would fully trust aid in a situation that was already going to be filled with enough chaos. Going against all her better judgement, the lunar mare inhaled, and then let it out.
"DISCORD!!" Luna yelled out, using the royal canterlot voice so that the draqconuis would be able to hear her no matter where he was in the castle. It took only seconds for him to make his appearance.
"Why hello Loony." Discords voice came from behind Luna's right ear, causing the dark alicorn to flinch away as she looked back. The draconiquis was lazily hanging off of Luna, his griffon like arm wrapped loosely around her neck as the rest of his body swayed in the wind that came from the open balcony. "So what can I do for you on this fine day?"
"Keep thy talons off us Discord, or thou shall regret it." Luna threatened as she pushed the chaotic mixture of creatures away with her wing.
"Well, someponies in a foul mood." The Draconaquis teased as he floated away, pulling out a banana that had a looped straw in it that he began drinking from. "It's not often you slip into your old speech patterns. That usually only happens when I'm to blame, or when your woken up too early."
"We have plenty reason to be furious Discord," Luna glared at him. "with Ponyville possibly being under attack and our sisters complete disregard for…"
"Wait, Ponyvilles being attacked?" Discord questioned, with what seemed to be genuine surprise in his voice.
"Correct." Luna confirmed. "Celestia has requested thy assistance on the matter while we are to remain here and rally the guard."
"Celestia want's my help?"
"Unbelievable as it may sound, yes, she does."
"Hmm…" Discord hummed, scratching his beard like he was deep in thought. "Well, I'll have to reschedule my little get-together with Blue Blood, but sure, why not? Might be the most fun I've had since I was released."
"Thou had plans to socialize with Prince Blue Blood?" Luna cocked an eyebrow, bemused.
"If by socialize you mean drop him in the middle of the royal garden's maze and watch him try to find his way out while being hunted by vicious chocolate rabbits, then yes, we're socializing." Discord explained.
"Why thou little…" Luna started, flaring her wings outward in a threatening manner. While Prince Blueblood wasn't her favorite of ponies, she couldn't stand any of her subjects becoming Discords playthings.
"Ta-Ta." The draconiquis tittered before disappearing in a bright flash of light. As he did, a bucket of something warm and green was dropped on the lunar princesses head, leaving her wet and miserable.
"We hate him so much."

25 Minutes after Egg Flapper ambush
"Crap!" Julie-su cursed as she ducked behind a fallen Egg Pawn, letting a missle fly overhead and harmlessly explode as it hit the ground somewhere behind her. Fifteen minutes she had been fighting alongside Espio and the Royal Guard ponies against the Egg Pawns, and for the last seven of those minutes they had been pinned down, forced to play defensivly as at least a hundred of the robotic troopers poured from a nearby forest. "That was too close."
"Julie-su, are you alright?!" The echidna heard Celestia call from a building she was hiding behind. The alicorn mare had a few burn marks across her wings from nearly getting shot a half dozen times, while her crown was missing, blasted off after saving her from what should have been a killing shot to the head. Shortly after that the echidna had told her to hide, saying that she was too large of a target to be out in the open.
"I'm fine Princess." Julie answered, wincing as another bolt glanced off of her makeshift Egg Pawn cover. "What about you?"
"I'll be alright for the time being." The mare asked, glancing over to the chameleon who had taken refuge on one of the roofs. "How is your friend doing?"
"I think he'll be okay." Julie called back as she took some pot shots from behind her cover. "Are your guards in position yet?"
"Almost." Celestia said, blasting an Egg Flapper that was diving on her with a bolt of magic. Julie could see that she was exhausted. "Its taking them longer than expected to collect enough storm clouds. Apparently there was a fire in the forest that the local pegasai were trying to contain and they had to use most of the… Julie-Su Watch Out!"
The echidna reacted instantly, rolling out of the way just as a large hammer came down on where she was, crushing the Egg Pawn beneath it. Julie came out of her roll in a standing position, aiming her pistol at the large robot holding the hammer and began to unload on it. Unfortunately the shots bounced harmlessly off of the Egg Hammers armor. The robot swung its hammer sideways, catching Julie-su's torso with the long handle before she could react, and sent her flying into the wall of a house, bounced off of it, and fell to the ground, her pistol flying from her grip in the process.
"Julie!" Espio yelled as his camouflage faltered, fearing the worst for his teammate. His panic however allowed an Egg Pawn to spot him and fire off a shot which struck the chameleon in the leg. Espio let out a cry of pain and fell to the ground, helpless as egg pawns moved in on him.
Celestia watched in horror as the two Mobians went down one after the other, and was about to rush out and help them when two things happened almost instantaneously.
First a blue blur blasted past the Solar Princess and slammed into the towering Egg Hammer, knocking it off balance, bounced off, and landed, revealing itself to be a blue, spikey Mobian, before jumping at the robot again, spinning like a ball, and shooting through its chest and out the other side.
On the other side of the battle, the Egg Pawns that were moving in on Espio suddenly began to get shot down, as out from one of the side streets came two more Mobians, Twilight, and three of her friends. Twilight and one of the Mobians, who had what appeared to be three metallic limbs, began firing off beams of energy at the robots, keeping them away from Espio, while Rainbow and the other Mobian, who was somehow flying with its tails, rushed in head first, ramming into the robots, removing there limbs and heads from their bodies.
"Julie, you okay?!" The blue Mobian asked the injured echidna as he rushed over to her side.
"Sonic?" Julie asked in disbelief as the blue Mobian helped her off the ground. She winced as he picked her up, placing her arm around his neck as she stood up.
"Take it easy Julie, are you hurt?"
"A few cracked ribs I think, but I should be fine." She said, looking around the battlefield. "What about Espio? I saw him go down."
"Espio's fine, I think. Tails has him." Sonic as he began to lead her to cover.
"Tails is here?" Julie asked.
"Yeah, Bunnie too." Sonic confirmed. "And it looks like they made some friends. Now lets get you somewhere safe."
"Two buildings back that way there should be a large white pony hiding behind it." Julie pointed to her side, wincing a bit as a sharp pain shot through her. "Take me there."
When the two Mobians made it there moment later, Celestia was waiting.
"Julie-Su, are you okay?" The Alicorn asked, worry faintly apparent on her face.
"I'll live."
"So who's your friend?" Sonic asked
"This is Celestia." Julie introduced the Princess to the hedgehog. "Shes one of the monarchs in this zone."
"Really?" Sonic turned to the Princess and did a little half bow out of respect. "Well, Its a honer to meet you your Majesty. I'm Sonic."
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, though I wish it were under better circumstances."
"Yeah, it looks like you got an Egg infestation on your hands." Sonic joked.
"Now's not the time for jokes Sonic." Julie gave the hedgehog a disapproving look.
"Oh don't worry," Tonic said, as he dismissed her glare and got ready to run back out into battle. "just let me round up Bunnie and Tails and we'll have this place robot free before lunchtime."
"No Sonic," the Echidna stopped him. "we already have a plan in motion."
"Okay, care to fill me in."
"The first part of the plan is already underway." Celestia started , gaining the hedgehogs attention. "as my guards collect as many storm clouds in the surrounding area as possible, while Espio, Julie-Su, and I were to…"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Sonic put his hands up in front of him and cut the alicorn off. "How do you collect storm clouds? Aren't they made out of evaporated water or something? Wouldn't you just pass right through them."
"Apparently in this world a species called pegasai can control the weather because of some type of magic that runs through their hooves and wings." Julie explained.
"Makes enough sense I guess."
"Anyways," Celestia continued. "like I was saying before, the three of us were to stay here and keep these Egg Pawns focused on us and prevent them from entering the town while my guards collected the clouds. Once they've collected enough they are going to move them above the Egg pawns as one large system and set off a chain of lightning to electrocute them…"
"Causing them to short circuit all at once." Sonic said as he caught on. "Smart plan. How much longer do you need to pull it off?"
"Well my guards have been having difficulties collecting enough clouds for the plan since Ponyville's supply is rather low at the moment because of a forest fire earlier in the day." "But I would say about fifteen more minutes and they should have enough enough."
"Too long." Julie said.
"Pardon me?"
"I said that's too long of a time to wait." The echidna repeated. "With how hard their coming at us we won't be able to hold our ground for longer than another eight."
"Then what should we do?" Celestia looked to the two Mobians for Ideas.
"Hey don't look at me, I'm a doer not a thinker." Sonic backed up, giving the two some space to re-plan their strategy. However as he did so he bumped into something behind him.
"Maybe I can be of assistance." That something said.
"Discord!" The Princess jumped a bit, but looked pleasantly surprised that the draqoniquis had actually come.
"Where the heck did he come from?!" Julie looked at the newcomer with wide eyes.
"Well Tia, it looks like you've made some new friends." The draqoniquis smiled as he suddenly vanished and reappeared next to Julie, causing her to flinch. "Care to introduce me?"
"Nows not the time for that." Celestia gave him a hard look. "Were in the middle of a crisis at the moment."
"Yes, Yes, of course, the whole invading army of machines, Skynet, and whatnot. Though that didn't seem to stop your self from introducing yourself." Discord stated, floating over to the large Alicorn. "Tell me, What exactly do you plan on doing about that?"
"We're were going to use one giant storm system to hit them with lightning all at once." Celestia explained.
"Thats it?" Discord looked dissapointed. "Well where's the fun in that. I mean I'm always up for a good dose of shock therapy, but there's just not enough Chaos in it for my tastes. Why don't you let me take care of this?"
"What?" Celestia's eyes widened.
"Let me do it." Discord repeated.
"I'm not sure that's the best Idea."
"Oh come now Tia," Discord said as he placed his paw on Celestias wing. "I get to have some fun that you've been reluctant to let me have, and You get your pest problem taken care of. Its a Win-Win, And I'll even stop harassing you and your sister for a while. What do you say."
"I-I guess it would be fine…" Celestia reluctantly agreed. Discord was never clear on what his real intentions were when he proposed some type of deal, and that always worried her.
"Its settled then. I'll just take the rest of whatever is left and I'll be out of your mane." Discord said as he snapped his fingers. All of the remaining Egg Pawns immediately turned into card board cutouts that began to topple over like dominoes. Discord watched his work play out with a smile before turning back to the alicorn Princess. "If you need me for anything else just holler. Have fun."
"Who was that?" Sonic asked, feeling uncomfortable around the odd creature. It actually reminded him of Nagus a bit.
"His name is Discord, the spirit of chaos and disharmony." Celestia said, looking over the destruction that had happened to the town. Luckily they had suffered no casualties in the battle. "He might be a bit unorthodox and hard to understand, but he's a powerful ally. I just hope it stays that way."
"Sonic, Julie-Su!" A young voice caught the trios attention, and found Tails flying over to them.
"Yo, Tails!" Sonic smiled at the young fox and gave him a quick high five as he landed.
"Are you two all right?" The young Mobian asked, looking over the two.
"I'm fine but I think Julie here is gonna need a doctor." Sonic replied, looking behind the fox at the group of ponies approaching them. "What about Espio?"
"He's fine, His wounds are only superficial so he joined the fight again after we arrived." Tails explained before his face became troubled. "What I'm worried about though is what happened to Eggman's robots."
"Some Discord guy took them off somewhere." Sonic told the fox.
"Who?" Tails asked.
"I'll explain later. Right now we need to get Julie-Su to the hospital."
"Right, let's go"

Ponyville Hospital
"So the doctor says that your friend should be fine." Twilight said, making her way back from the desk the nurses had called her to, and sat next to Celestia. The party of Mobians and ponies had arrived a half hour earlier, running into Fluttershy, Rarity, and Spike on the way, and had been waiting for the doctors to finish their physical of the pink echidna in silence. "Her ribs were fractured when that big thing hit her, but other than that there weren't any other injuries. She should be out in a few minutes."
The mobians all released a collective sigh of relief. While they all knew that the injury that Julie had been afflicted with was not life threatening, it was never a bad thing to get it checked out.
"Well that's a load off mah shoulders." Bunnie smiled at the knowledge that her friend and ally would be alright. "Ah don't think ah could take another loss so quickly."
"Another loss?" Fluttershy asked, not liking how that sounded.
"Let's just say we've had quite a bit of bad luck in the last little while and leave it at that." Sonic said somberly, the pain of losing Tommy still relatively fresh in his mind.
And the ponies did leave it at that, silencing the waiting room once more until Julie-Su came out from the exam room.
"So, how are you feeling?" Espio asked his teammate, who was zipping up her jacket.
"Like I got hit by a truck." The Echidna replied, gently rubbing her sides as she approached the group. "The doctor gave me some meds that should help dull the pain and gave me strict orders not to do anything to strain myself for at least the next week."
"Somehow with how our weeks been going I highly doubt that you'll be able to just rest and recuperate." Tails said, fiddling around with some of the electronics he had recovered from the destroyed Egg Pawns.
"I know." Julie agreed, taking a seat next to Bunnie. "Not that I would be looking forward to a week of doing absolutely nothing either."
"Well, now that we know your friend is alright, I think it's a good time to introduce ourselves properly." Celestia proposed, grabbing the groups attention. She once again was wearing her Tiara, and her wings were clean thanks to a pair of nurses who offered to preen them, though she told them it would have been alright if they hadn't. "As Julie-Su and Espio here know, my name is Celestia, and I rule the country of Equestria along with my sister, Luna, who isn't here at the moment."
"It's just you and your sister?" Sonic asked, his eyebrow raised. "That must have caused some issues?"
"Oh, there were issues, trust me." Celestia recalled the events that happened so long ago. "It took a while, but we managed to get through them, thanks to Twilight and her friends. Speaking of whom, Twilight would you like to introduce yourself and the rest of the girls."
"Of course." Twilight smiled. "We'll as you might have guessed, I'm Twilight Sparkle. I run the Golden Oaks Library here in Ponyville and I'm Princess Celestia's personal student."
"The orange earth pony over there is Applejack." Twilight pointed out the Cowpony. "She runs Sweet Apple Acres with her family just outside town."
"Howdy." Applejack said with a tip of her hat.
"The cyan pegasus is Rainbow Dash." Twilight moved down the line, her hoof now pointed in the rainbow maned pony. "She's Head of the Ponyville weather team and the greatest young flier in Equestria."
"Don't forget I'm also the fastest as well. I am the only pegasus who's been able to pull off the Sonic Rainboom before." The cyan pegasus bragged, causing the rest of the mares to smile and roll their eyes. Sonic however let an eyebrow rise with interest.
"The yellow pegasus beside Rainbow is Fluttershy." Twilight continued. "She runs an animal shelter on the edge of town. She's shy, but she has the kindest heart I know."
"H-hello…" Fluttershy stuttered, hiding from the attention that had been drawn to her behind her mane.
"The white unicorns name Is Rarity. She owns a boutique in town and she even makes dresses for celebrities around Equestria."
"Its a pleasure to meet you all." Rarity smiled.
"The dragon beside Rarity is Spike. He's my assistant at the library and he's been like my little brother ever since I hatched him."
"Whats up." Spike gave the Mobians a short little wave with his paw.
"And last but certainly not least is…" Twilight paused, looking around the hospital waiting room as if searching for something "Uh, where did Pinkie go?"
All the mares body postures immediately changed from relaxed to on edge in an instant. Not being able to see Pinkie when you knew she was there was never a good sign. Even Bunnie and Tails looked a bit cautious, both remembering how the mare was seemingly able to appear out of nowhere.
Sonic, curious why all the ponies looked so sketched out, began looking around the room as well, searching for the missing party member. For about ten seconds he looked, until he found her right in front of him with only millimeters between him and the pink mare.
"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie!" The earth pony beamed with an impossibly large smile across her muzzle.
"Whoa!" The hedgehog cried in surprise, jumping back out of his chair and clear across the room to get away from the uncomfortably close mare. Everyone's attention snapped to the source of the cry, finding the pink mare, front hooves on the chair, staring at the hedgehog with an incredibly large smile.
"Wow, your really fast." The earth pony beamed. "You might even be able to give Dashie a run for her money."
"How did she…?" Sonic ,
"Don't ask." Twilight interrupted the hedgehog. "We've all learned that its just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie."
Sonic wanted to hear a better explanation than that but the look on Twilight's face said to drop the subject. He took the hint and began making his way back to the group, taking another chair next to Tails away from the pink pony, who's eyes he could feel following him.
"This is Pinkie." Twilight tried to suppress a laugh as she watched Sonic."Pinkie works at the Sugercube Corner bakery and shes Ponyville's resident party pony. Nopony can throw a party like Pinkie can."
"Well, It's nice ta meet you and your friends Twilight." Bunnie smiled to each of the ponies, tipping her hat in respect. "Ya'know, after all we've been through these last few days It's nice ta meet some friendly faces."
"You got that right." Tails agreed, chuckling a little. "I'm Miles Prower by the way, but everyone just calls me Tails."
"Why do they call you that?" Pinkie asked.
"I would have thought that'd be obvious, considering that I do have two tails." Tails explained.
"Oh, I see."
"How 'bout the rest of ya." Applejack said as looked over the rest of the Mobians.
"My name is Espio." The chameleon sitting in the corner, eyes closed and legs crossed, spoke first. "I am a shinobi and a Chaotix Freedom Fighter of Angel Island."
"A shinobi?" Twilight asked, remembering that word from a book she had read a while back. "You mean like a ninja?"
"Yes."
"OH. MY. GOSH!" Pinkie cried out in excitement, and started bouncing around Espio. "Yourreallyaninja?! Does that mean that you can disappear stick to walls carry cool weapons and sense things before they happen?"
"Yes, I can do all of those things, though my arsenal is depleted at the moment due to the battle we just had." The chameleon confirmed for the pink pony.
"This is super!" Pinkie beamed. "I can't believe I get to meet a real life ninja. I have so many questions."
"Calm down Pinkie, I'm sure you can learn more about Espio later." Twilight told the hyperactive pony.
"But Twilight…"
"No buts Pinkie, now go sit back down so we can continue."
"Fine, meanie pants…"
"So now that we've got that dealt with, what about you." Twilight said as she turned to the pink Echidna.
"My names Julie-Su." Julie introduced herself. "I work with the Chaotix just like Espio as the communications Specialist. I'm also quite a capable fighter, when I'm not getting knocked around by an Egg Hammer."
"Your making jokes about that already?" Rarity asked, appalled. "What if you had been seriously injured?"
"We kind of have to make light of these things." Julie Explained, her expression turning a little dark. "We deal with it so much that if we didn't, we'd probably have lost our minds already."
"Well, 'cept when things get real bad." Bunnie added somberly.
"Yeah." The Echida agreed before turning to the half roboticized rabbit beside her. "Your turn Bunnie."
"Alright." Bunnie looked towards the ponies. "I'm Bunnie D'coolette. I work with Tails an sugarhog here as part of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, tho ah guess we're gonna have ta call ourselves the New Mobotropolis FF now huh?"
"Don't worry Bunnie, we'll find a way back home." Julie said placing here hand on the half-robians shoulder. "We won't let what happened to Knothole happen ever again."
"Julie's right Bunnie." Sonic agreed. "All we have to do is find the entrance to the Cosmic Interstate and we can get home from there."
"And you are?" Rainbow piped up, staring down the hedgehog. His display of speed during the battle earlier had been replaying in her mind over and over again since she saw it. She was int
"My names Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." Sonic cockily grinned at the mare. And then something about the mare clicked. "Wait, aren't you one of the pegasai who helped me out in the forest?"
"What?" Rainbow cocked an eyebrow, recalling the events that had taken place in the Everfree. "Hey, your right. I'd completely forgot about that because of those machine things. Hows your other friend doing?"
"Other friend?" Tails looked at the hedgehog.
"Nack ended up getting transported here with us." Sonic told the fox while keeping his attention focused on the multicolored pegasus. "And he's not a friend."
"Nack is here too?" Bunnie asked, not exactly pleased with this news. "Where is he?"
"He's here in the hospital." Sonic answered. "I found him in the forest I woke up in underneath a collapsed tree that was on fire. When I tried to get him out from under it, another tree fell on him and he passed out on the spot. The only reason I was able to get him out was because Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy here showed up with some other pegasai and helped me."
"So if this Nack character ain't your friend, then who is he?" Applejack asked.
"He's a criminal who we had literally just locked up right before we got sent here." Tails explained.
"A criminal? What did he do?" Celestia asked, genuinely surprised.
"Kidnapping, attempted assassination, Thievery, Treason, shooting me," Sonic listed, counting off with his fingers. "and those are just the ones at the top of the list. I can keep going if you want."
"No, that's alright, I think we get the Idea." Celestia frowned.
"Why would anypony willingly do things like that?" Fluttershy questioned, unsure of why anypony would act like that.
"For Nack, it's all about the money." Sonic said as he rubbed his index finger and thumb together, imitating rubbing coins. "He's a mercenary for hire. As long as he gets paid, he'll do just about anything."
"That's horrible!" Rarity gasped.
"Tell me about it. The last time he shot me I was able to feel it for… hold that thought." Sonic stopped to listen for a second, his ears picking up some sort of commotion deeper in the building. "Well speak of the snaggle-toothed devil."
"We should probably get back there." Tails suggested. "It sounds like he causing the nurses some problems."
"Yeah, lets go."
The group got up and began to make its way down the halls at a quick pace and soon arrived at the room the weasel had been placed in. Upon reaching the door, the Mobians and ponies saw that the room was a disaster. The monitors and IVs had been knocked over and smashed while the curtain had been forcefully ripped down and tied around a pony, who was frantically kicking her legs in an attempt to free herself while another was trying to undo the knot. At the back of the room was Nack, backed into a corner and holding the large stand that usually held IV bags, swinging around threateningly to keep the other nurses at bay.
"Stay back you freaks, or I'll brain all of ya!" Nack yelled, thrusting the stand at on of the ponies who got to close to him.
"Sir, please calm down. Your injuries are too sever to be moving around like this." One of the nurses pleaded, obviously not used to this type of violent behavior.
"And let you freaky aliens have your way with me? No friggin way!"
"We'll he's just a bowl of sunshine, ain't he?" Applejack smirked, slightly amused at the sight.
"We should try and calm him down before he does any more damage." Julie Said, getting a unanimous agreement from the rest of the group.
"Yeah, and if that doesn't work we can always go the old fashioned way and stick him with something to make him go night-night." Sonic joked. Unfortunately he got an ‘are you serious’ look from the ponies. "What? I was joking… kinda."
"Well hopefully it does not come to that." Celestia turned back to the scene. "If you all don't mind, I would like to talk to him first."
"Why would ya wan't ta do that?" Bunnie asked, not really sure if that was the best Idea.
"I just wan't to see if we can reach dome type of agreement where he won't try to harm my little ponies during your stay." The alicorn explained.
"Sure, go ahead. But if he try's anything funny I'm stepping in." Sonic warned.
"Why would being funny be a bad thing?" Pinkie gave the hedgehog a puzzled look.
"It's a figure of speech Pinkie."
Walking into the room, Celestia grabbed all of its occupants attention immediately. Lighting up her horn she untied the nurse that had been bound and cleaned up the mess, reorganizing the room to what it had been like before she had arrived.
"Nurses, would you both be so kind as to step away from our guest here for a moment. I would like to talk to him." The princess politely asked and the two orderly's stepped away. "Thank you."
"Great, another one." Nack groaned. "Listen toots, if you don't want to end up on the sharp side of this pole then you better…"
"Your name is Nack correct?" The alicorn inquired, taking the purple Mobian off guard.
"Wha… How do you know that?!" The weasel looked dumbstruck.
"Your acquaintance Sonic told me who you were." Celestia said motioning to the hedgehog and the rest of the group behind her.
"Yo." Sonic waved.
"…Crap." The weasel swore as his situation dawned on him.
"Now why don't you put the stand down and we can talk through this calmly." The princess suggested.
"Fine, not like I have a choice with half the stupid Freedom Fighters standing right there." Nack complied dropping his makeshift weapon.
"Exellent." Celestia smiled.. "Now, lets start with what to do with you…"

"What! They wiped out an entire platoon?!" Eggman yelled through the speakers after hearing the news his nephew had just given him.
"Yes Uncle." Snively confirmed continuing with his report. "Apparently several Freedom Fighters, including Sonic, showed up and started to fight the Egg Pawns that had been sent to collect specimens from a nearby village. Our forces were quickly overrun and and then spontaneously disappeared in a large fluctuation of Chaos Energy."
"Of all the…" Eggman grunted in frustration. "Did you at least get readings on whatever caused that energy spike?"
"No sir, whatever it was it didn't only just take the remaining Egg Pawns, but it took all of the probes in the area as well." The pointy nosed Overlander explained.
"Blast it all…" Eggman threw his fist down on his console. A few seconds passed before he realized something his nephew told him. "Wait, did you say Sonic is in the same world that your in now? Are you sure It's not just some local version of him?"
"I'm positive sir." Snively nodded.
"Heh… heh heh," Eggman began to chuckle to himself before it grew into full blown maniacal laughter. "HA ha ha ha ha ha ha. Finally that pest is out of the way! Snivley!"
"Yes Sir."
"Make sure that rodent can't find his way back to Mobius." Eggman ordered, an evil, twisted grin growing on his face. "I've got plans for his little friends and their new city."
