The Princess of the Sun And the Princess Of the Night have been killed by none other than Twilight Sparkle and her newly found dark magic
One day Twilight Sparkle decides to study the darker side of magic. Spike sends a letter to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and they take action at once! Trying to confront Twilight about the darkness that this magic brings, twilight snaps in a darkening fury...and attacks the Princesses.
"Spike!? Spiiiiiiiiike! Where are you?" Twilight called walking down the staircase of the hollowed out tree. "I'm down here Twilight." Spike called out from the basement. "What are you doing down here Spike?" Twilight said as she walked down into the basement searching for her # 1 assistant. "Searching for a book on dark magic, I'm curious about how it works. When we were searching for the Crystal Heart, you used dark magic to open up the underground room. After we defeated King Sombra I wanted to ask you about it, but i kept forgetting. Then just this morning I was eating a gem that was almost in the shape a heart, and that's when I remembered about my question for you!" Spike said searching to a piles of old dusty books. Twilight looking puzzled asked: "Well, then why didn't you come ask me about it? Instead of going through mountains of old books that clearly need to be dusted. in a matter-of-fact this entire basement could be dusted and cleaned out, Spike after your done with finding your book. Would you kindly start on that please? " "Sure thing Twi, but first what do you know about dark magic?" Spike said (still searching climbing on top of piles of books and various mechanical devices the Twilight never uses.) "Well Spike not much, but i learned from Princess Celestia that it is very powerful and that it corrupts the user over time. Also, that many ponies have gone down a dark path and have lost everything they have ever loved. King Sombra used this power to take over Crystal Empire and corrupt the happiness of the crystal ponies." Twilight said as she searched the far corners of her brain for the information. "Wow, Twilight that sounds very dangerous. I hope I never meet anypony who has traveled on that path." Spike said upon hearing the tragic news. "Don't worry Spike, you won't. Also I want you to take a note." She said as she spots Spike climbing to the top of the large tower of books. As Twilight says this, a book more towards the base of the pile comes out from the tower and sends the little dragon falling to the earth with a loud *THUD*. "Ouch!! Maybe I should stand on something sturdier," the purple dragon says getting up from the ground and dusting himself off, "Great, another mess to clean up." As he looks at the mess he has to clean up he notices a button that was behind the mountains of books. he walks up to it and analyzes it and calls Twilight (which has picked up one of the old books and has begun to read its contents) over to come and inspect it. "Twilight! Come look at what I found!" Spike yelled loud enough to shake the entire planet up just to get her attention. She finally looks over and spike with and irritated look plastered on her face, "What is it spike? I'm trying to read the fantastic book here." He walked over to twilight and starts to pull on her hoof to get her to go over to look at the button. She reluctantly but the book down and got up and started toward the wall where the button was located. She stared at it, contemplating the outcomes that would unfold if she pressed the little dot on the wall. She decided to push it and see what happens, but not without preparing for the outcome good or bad. "Well, here goes nothing Spike." Said Twilight as her hoof moved toward the tiny mystery. She presses the button, bracing herself for the events to unfold........only to find that there is a pedestal with an enclosed book rising from beneath the earth. Spike and she are wide-eyed and amazed that something like this has been hidden inside their home library. Twilight starts walking towards it, spike sitting on her back lost in wonder of what the contents of the book were. As was Twilight, but more along the lines of smashing that glass case with her magic kind of way. Which she would have done if spike didn't jump off Twilight's back and dash over the case smashing it with his claws. "Spike! Why did you do that?! I was going to carefully open the case to retrieve the book." Twilight said with a pouting look on her face. "Ha-ha yeah right Twi, knowing you, you would probably smash the case to read this book." Spike said with a giant smirk on his face. Twilight just gave him a stare with daggers that would rival Fluttershy's. She walked over to spike (who was already nose-deep in the book) and started reading alongside him. The name of the book was called "Magic: Dark, Shadow, and Chaos Vol.I-12" "Wow Spike, that's a pretty big book! Oh how I do love big books!" Twilight Squealed in delight. The first thing she noticed was the strong dark aura around the book and felt a strange and uneasy presence in the basement. Spike however didn't, he was too busy trying to figure out the secrets to dark magic and its consequences if taken down this dark and destructive path. Twilight was beginning to read some of the contents of the book along next to spike, she found it fascinating that dark magic had a lot of same spells that she knew, but dark magic was more powerful. "Spike, Take a letter please." Twilight said as she looked at the spells "Awe, Twilight really? i just started to get to the good part!" spike responded Yes, Spike, Don't worry we will have plenty of time to read this book." She said forming an idea in her head. "The Princess needs to hear about this! And I also have an idea for a experiment, but I might need her approval." Twilight told her assistant who eagerly ready to take a note. "Ready Spike?" "Ready, Twilight." "Dear Princess Celestia, Spike and I have stumbled Upon A Book of Dark Magic. We Were Reading Its Contents When I Came Up With An Excellent Idea For An Experement. Before you ask, yes it Contains The Use of Dark Magic,But with a limit. I Know What Happens When You Use It To Much. Hope To Hear Your Answer Soon." Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle "Alright Spike Send the letter please." Twilight told the little dragon. "Okay Twilight" Spike said before he set the letter on fire with his green dragon fire. "What now Twilight?" asked Spike. "Now We Wait" Said the proud Twilight Sparkle.
“Alright Spike, Are you ready? Got everything packed?” Twilight asked as she was heading out the front door of the library. “Yep, I have the extra scrolls, ink, quills and, the emergency first aid kit. Now we need to hurry the train to Canterlot leaves in fifteen minutes!!” Spike responded as he struggled to keep up with his motherly figure. “You’re one to talk Spike, you are dragging behind me!” twilight called back as she engulfed Spike in her magical grip and placed him on her back, still running full speed toward the train station. As Twilight grew closer to the train station she used her magic teleportation spell to transport into the train and into their seats. “Geez Twi, at least warn me before you do that next time.” The dazed purple dragon responded. Spike sat up and looked around at all the other ponies and watched them find their seats and put away their luggage (if they had any) away in the over-head compartments. Then looked up at Twilight and asked, “Twilight, do you want me to put away our luggage or do you want to keep it here with us?” “Keep it with us Spike; I want to send the Princess.” Twilight responded as she looked back down at her assistant. “I want to inform her that we’re headed to the city and should be there in no time at all.” The purple unicorn proudly stated, she shifted in her seat to get a little bit more comfortable. As she did this Spike shifted a little so he could take a nap on the way there, pretty soon he was off to dream land. “Good thing I brought the book to read while I pass the time.” Levitating the dark magic book out of her saddle bag, she flipped to the table of contents and looked at the lists of spells printed on the page. She turned the page with her magic, but instead of a lavender aura, it was a dark grey almost black looking color. She had a frozen look on her face as if she was trying to solve all of Equestria’s problems at once. Finally, she snapped out of it and concluded that the book had to be connected with her magic somehow. She came up with the idea to ask the Princess if she could analyze it and see if it was connected with her magic in anyway. “Speaking of the Princess, her last letter seemed very concerning. Maybe, that’s why she wanted Spike and I to travel to Canterlot to see her and Princess Luna. OH! What if Princess Luna can tell me more about dark magic as well, or she can show me some of the spells in this book!” Twilight practically yelling her head off, and seemed to get up and start pacing about the train car. That’s when she noticed that she was getting awkward stares from the other ponies on board the train car. “Sorry everypony, got a little too excited.” Twilight said with a sheepish grin, and with that she returned to her seat where she spotted Spike arousing from his slumber. “Hey Spike, did I wake you up? I’m sorry, I just got carried away.” The motherly figure said as she crawled up and sat down next to Spike. Spike still half-asleep snuggled up next to Twilight, “It’s okay Twilight, I know your excited about going to visit the Princesses, but I think you need to relax a bit. You were up late last night reading that book, am I correct?” “Yeah Spike, how did you know? Twilight looking confused, as if the dragon had magical powers of his own. “I heard you rummaging through the fridge around one o’clock this morning.” Spike shot a disapproving look at the purple mare beside him. Twilight turning towards Spike and gave him a sheepish look. “Yeah sorry Twi, you’re not that sneaky, you are always bumping into an table or chair on your way in and out of the kitchen.” Spike stated as he started to look at Twilight’s front leg, which seemed to have a small bruise on it. “Sorry Spike, I often get hungry when I stay up and read all night.” Twilight said as she moved her leg away from Spike who was inspecting the bruise. As she says this, the train is starting slowing down until it comes to a complete stop. “Well Spike, looks like we’re here!” The purple unicorn shouted, as she jumps out of her seat and runs towards the opening doors of the locomotive. Leaving spike to put the book away and gather the bags; Twilight saddle bag (which had books and snacks in it) and the bag with all of the supplies in it. “Twilight!! Wait for me!!” The little dragon yelled as he tried to run after the purple unicorn. Twilight noticed her mistake and teleported over to Spike and put him on her back with her magical grip and took off for the palace. She was running full speed when she noticed somepony that looked familiar; she slowed from her running to a light jog as she looked for the familiar pony. The mystery pony was walking towards the palace, and seemed to be dressed in shiny golden armor. This caught the eye of Twilight as she tried to figure out who the pony was. Soon enough, Spike noticed it was Twilight’s brother, Shining Armor. “Hey Twilight, look it’s Shining Armor!!” shouted the assistant. Twilight darted towards her brother in a speed that could impress even Rainbow Dash; she was going so fast she almost tripped over her own hoofs. As she neared her target, she jump and dived for her older brother. Shining Armor was taken by surprise as he was forced to the ground by and unknown attacker. As fast as he could manage he got up and prepared for the next attack, only for him to find his younger sister and her assistant. “Twily?” Shining said as he helped up Twilight and Spike and tried to piece the events that just unfolded before him. “Shiny!” Twilight shouted as she gave her brother a bear hug squeezing so tight that he could barely breath. “I’ve missed you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!” Twilight said as she gave another tight squeeze to her, now turning blue, older brother. “Uhh….Twilight I don’t think Shining can breathe.” The observant dragon “OH! I’M SORRY SHINY!!” Twilight realizing her mistake, yet again. Now the color is returning to Shining’s face, “It’s okay Twily, I know how you feel. I haven’t seen you in a while either.” As he says this he gives his sister a hug, not a death grip one, but a firm gentle hug. As the two siblings are chatting, Spike is standing there off to the side reading a newly sent letter from Princess Celestia. “Twilight, the Princess wants to know if we are coming today or not.” Spike stated to his motherly figure. “Oh Right!! We were on our way to meet with the Princesses!!!” Said Twilight as she started to panic seeing she forgot she was on her way to the palace. “Twily, I was on my way to the palace as well. So let’s hurry, we can always catch up later.” Said Shining as he got ready to run towards the palace. “Right, let’s hurry up. We kept the Princesses waiting long enough.” Said Twilight as she started toward the palace, she picked up Spike and her and her brother ran to the palace. As they ran into the palace, Twilight and Shining slowed to a stop in front of the doors of the royal throne room to catch their breaths. “Are you ready Twilight?” Shining and Spike said in unison, still gasping for air. “As ready as I will ever be.” Twilight said as she lit up her horn, using magic to open the throne room doors.
The sun is blinding as Twilight enters the throne room, unexpected as to who is waiting inside the brightly lit palace. Shining and Spike still following Twilight enter the throne room as well, not knowing what to expect either. Twilight inspects the room to see everypony in the room, when she sees that it’s only herself, Shining, Spike, and the Great and Royal Princesses, she teleports over to the Royal Sisters. She gives each of the sisters a bone-shattering “Bear Hug of death” it is then that we hear the barely audible eldest sister, “Twilight….I think you’re breaking my spine…..”As Twilight hears this she opens her eyes wide as ponyly possible and jumps back as quick as she can. “OhmygoshPrincessI’msosorryforhurtingyouIdon’tknowwhathasgottenintometoday” Twilight says so fast it leaves everypony(and dragon) puzzled and inaudible. Twilight realized this and decides to repeat it, only this time slower. “I’m so sorry Princess Celestia, I don’t know what has gotten into me today.” Twilight repeats and calm as possible. “It’s quite alright my faithful student; it has been a while since I have had a bone-shattering hug like that. But, I’m afraid that today can’t be all fun and games, this matter, which is why I summoned you and Spike here is very serious.” The very serious Princess of the Sun proclaimed to her three faithful subjects standing in front of her with serious and concerned faces. “What is it Princess?” Her faithful student asked. As Spike and Shining just stood there fixed and listening to the Princess and Twilight. Twilight being the concerning pony she is, starts to pace around the throne room and the Princess is speaking to her. “Well Twilight, It is about that book you found in your basement.” Princess Celestia told Twilight, as her eyes followed the lavender mare around the throne room. “That book you found has a very dark and corrupting past. I have seen many ponies in my lifetime, so far that have walked a dark path and lose everything they ever loved and cared dearly for. I am also afraid that your curiosity in this dark magic might lead you astray for the right path and might make you do something you will regret.” The Princess said with all the sincerity and concern in her voice. Twilight stared at the Princess in wonder as to how she could ever think she would become corrupted by this dark magic. She finally snapped out of her daze and shook her head of the doubt that she had about the Princess and replied, “Princess, why would you ever think that I could be consumed by this dark magic? I’m very good with magic, it’s my element. Plus, I have a very great teacher, awesome friends, and a loving family who can help me to not be corrupted.” The proud Twilight Sparkle exclaimed to her mentor and everypony else in the room, including a little purple dragon.
Just as Twilight finishes the Princess of The night, Princess Luna starts speaking to her sister’s student and great friend. “That may be so young Twilight Sparkle, but even the best ponies with all the help they can get can be corrupted. Take me for example, I always thought I could never be corrupted, yet I still ended up corrupt and lost everything for one thousand years…everything so different….all my friends gone…..all the regrets that I have to bare as my life goes on….oh how I wish I can undo all the wrong I’ve done.” With tears in her eyes Princess Luna looked up the sky as dusk approached, which signaled it was almost time for the moon to shine brightly in the dark night sky. She looked back to Twilight, still with tears rolling down her cheeks and with all her strength she gave her a small smile and said, “Twilight, please don’t go down this dark path I wouldn’t want anypony to travel on this dark and lonely path, especially a dear friend.” With that said she gave twilight a gentle, yet firm hug and told her sister she was going to go fly around the city to clear her mind.
“Luna, wait!” The eldest sister called out to her younger sister, “Please my dear sister, that’s in the past. Don’t keep that pain with you, I was just as much to blame I should have been there for you. I should have looked after you and comforted you when you needed it. I’m so very sorry my dear sister. Please forgive me.” Princess Celestia said as she gave her sister a comforting hug and wrapped her wing around her so she would feel safe and secure.
“Thank you sister, for comforting me, also you have already been forgiven. It makes me the happiest to know the fact that I am here right here beside you and all of my new friends.” Princess Luna said to her sister and her friends with a biggest smile that shone as brightly as the moon and the stars. “Now, sister if you don’t mind, I will take my leave.”
“Okay my dear sister, just be sure to be careful and stay out of trouble.” Princess Celestia said as she turn back to her sister. “Also, no more pranking the guards! Some almost died last night!”
“Alright, big sister I won’t, and if you will get a good night’s rest for once. You have been up a lot lately.” Said the younger sister, as she turn to leave she spoke to Twilight, Spike, Shining. “And I want you three to have a good night’s rest as well.” “We will Princess Luna don’t worry. Your night is looking very beautiful if I must say.” Exclaimed the radiant Twilight, who was walking towards Luna to give her one last hug good night. “Thank you very much Twilight Sparkle.” Princess Luna squealed as she gave Twilight one last hug good night. And with this Shining got up and did the same as Twilight, after he said good bye and good night to Princess Celestia and Twilight, and headed home to his lovely wife. Spike at this point was already fast asleep, being a baby dragon he had no intentions of staying up all night. “Now Twilight,” Princess Celestia said to Twilight, “Are you going to Stay the night here or do you want me to fly you home?” Asked the Princess, who had already walked beside her faithful student and wrapped her wing around her. “I think we will stay the night here, if that’s alright with you Princess?” Asked the lavender mare who looked up at her mentor and smiled. “I assure you my beloved student, it’s quite alright. Now let us hurry up and het spike into a bed and then we can talk like we used to when you lived here in the palace. Sound good to you? The Royal Princess said to her faithful student. “Sure Princess, that sounds like a great idea!” The overly excited unicorn exclaimed, almost waking up her little baby dragon. As she picked up Spike with her magic it seemed to have a darker aura, the same aura that she had when she used dark magic to open the underground staircase in the Crystal Castle, or when she was reading the dark magic on the train ride over to Canterlot. “Princess Help me!!” Shouted the lavender unicorn.
“Help Me Princess!” Twilight cried out in an unclear and dark distorted tone. “Hold on Twilight! Try and not to use any magic!” Said the Princess as she took action and started to pour her magic into the lavender unicorn, who was struggling to keep control of the dark magic. Little did the Princess know that she was amplifying the dark magic causing it to consume her even more, the dark aura taking a hold of poor Twilight. Twilight’s magic as well as Princess Celestia’s was starting to fade and fuse with the dark aura surrounding her body, the dark magic was too much for her to handle. She fell into unconsciousness, while the dark magic took over Twilight and began to transform her. The Princess stopped pouring her magic into Twilight seeing that it only hurt more than helped her young student. As Twilight transformed the aura became darker and darker, the only visible light was the moonlit night sky that shone through the stained glass. “Twilight! Twilight! NOOOOOO!” Princess Celestia yelled at the events that unfolded before her. Somehow she managed to make her way over to the baby dragon, who was fast asleep near Twilight. “SPIKE! SPIKE WAKE UP!” The Royal Canterlot voice, rarely used by Princess Celestia, Now shook the walls of the palace, piercing through Spike’s peaceful slumber. Spike awoke with a great startle and leapt high into the air, as he did this Princess Celestia grabbed him in her magical grip and bolted through the throne room door and into the grand palace hallways. She dashed to her room at full gallop, being taller that most ponies it took no time at all to get there, she busted through the doors and set Spike down on her bed. “Princess, why are we here? Where is Twilight?” the purple dragon asked as he scanned the room, noticing that something was off. “What’s wrong Princess? Has something happened to Twilight?!” A now concerned Spike shouted as he jumped off the bed in panic. “Spike I must inform you of the recent events, the dark magic has taken control of Twilight. And she is now transforming into a mare of darkness.” The Princess said as calmly as she possibility could, which at the time was in the Royal Canterlot Voice. Poor Spike was sent flying across Princess Celestia’s room and onto a wall bracing on for dear life. Princess Celestia realized her mistake and stopped shouting Spike to pieces and now spoke with a gentler, softer spoken tone that could even match Fluttershy’s. “I’m so sorry Spike I forgot I was still using my Canterlot voice, please forgive me.” Princess Celestia said with apologetic tone and look. “It’s alright Princess, now…WHAT HAPPENED TO TWILIGHT!!!” The Little purple dragon shouted as he regained his footing on solid ground, and in confusion as to how the dark magic took over Twilight. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Hey Honey, I’m Home!” Shining Armor said as he walked through the doors of his home, searching for his beloved wife. “Hon? Where are you?” “I’m in the bedroom sweetie.” A loving wife called out from their bedroom, “How was the visit with the Princess?” Cadence asked as Shining walked in. “Well actually, you’ll never guess who I ran into on the way there” Shining said as he crawled up next to his wife as she lay on the bed reading a book about transformation spells. “Let me guess, Twilight?” She responded without missing a beat. “Yeah, how did you know?” Shining responded baffled. “I don’t know I just had a hunch.” The pink alicorn replied. “Well, yeah I saw her, well really she saw me on the road walking towards the palace. And she kinda tackled me to the ground. I thought I she was trying to attack me.” Shining said with a sheepish grin on his face. As Shining said this a green cloud of smoke erupted in front of him and a scroll sat in front of him. He stared at it with interest, until his wife suggested that he should open and read it. He unrolled the scroll, unexpected of what to find hidden in its contents. Shining Armor I Need Your Help Come Quick!
-Princess Celestia ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Well now it looks like my transformation is complete, now to go observe myself in the mirror.” The newly transformed Twilight Sparkle said, as she conjured up a mirror front of her. “I look rather evil and dark, my mane and coat look a dark purple now and my pink streak is now a grey-ish color. My height is still the same and my eyes seem a bit…Brighter to say the least. I like this new look, now I just have to see how powerful I am now,” as she searched for the book on dark magic, “Hmm let’s try a simple destruction spell.” Twilight, now powering up her dark magic, as she does this it send outs a wave of pressure that slices through the air like a hot butter knife through butter. Her horn starts to glow a dark grey aura and intensify the light in the dimly lit throne room, she charges her horn to full power and aims for her former mentor’s throne. She shoots the spell at the throne. *KA-BOOM* The entire wall comes crashing down and parts of the ceiling as well, the throne shattered under all the rubble. The cloud of smoke is starting to clear up enough for Twilight to see that the completely destroyed the wall of the palace. “I love this power! I think I might have even surpassed both Princesses! But I still want to test you this new found magic; this should be no problem seeing that I am the element of magic…or was anyway. I wonder how this will affect my friendship with the others. Then again who needs friends anyways? I am the most powerful in all of Equestria!” Twilight said as she started towards the balcony, now feeling confident that nothing would stand in her way, not even the Princesses. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *KA-BOOM* “Princess, what was that?” asked a now cowering purple dragon. “I don’t know Spike, but I think it might have something to do with Twilight.” Said the Princess now heading towards the throne room where she last saw her faithful student. Upon arriving at the room she inspected the pile of rubble where her throne used to be. Spike not too far behind, caught sight of the pile as well, and began to search for any signs of Twilight. “Princess Look! Twilight is on the balcony!” Spike shouted as he bolted toward the dark purple unicorn. The Princess followed the young dragon, but came to a complete halt when she saw that Twilight was choking Spike with her magical grip. “Twilight! Put Spike down now!” She commanded as she lit up her horn proving that she was the most dominant of the two. “Sorry Princess, but I don’t take orders from you anymore,” She said as she hurled Spike toward Princess Celestia, “And further more you aren't the most powerful in all of Equestria, I am.” Twilight said as she lit up her horn and began to lift the Princess by her throat. “Now it’s time for your reign to come to an end, and for mine to begin.” “Die!”
Well this is really unexpected? I thought you just came from the palace?” the pink alicorn said as she got up from the bed. “I know Honey, but this sounds really urgent. I must go to the palace at once!” The Captain of the Royal Guard said as he turned to leave and bolt out the door. “My love, Wait!” Cadence shouted as she dashed after her husband, who was already out the door and headed toward the palace. With a huff she took to the sky in hopes of reaching the palace with haste. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spike began to regain consciousness, vision still blurry he tried to stand up, but it was to no avail. He ended up stumbling over his own feet and colliding with the, once was a wall, now a pile of rubble. When he finally gained his vision back, he sat there for a minute trying to gain re-control of his nerves and limbs. Now with confidence that he wouldn’t go stumbling into any piles of rubble, he stood up and scanned the room trying to find any other source of life in the room. Seeing that he was the only one in the room he took time to calm himself as he membered the reason why he had become unconscious in the first place. His mother just tried to kill him. “WHAT THE BUCK IS GOING ON?” Spike shouted to no one in particular. As she said this he turned to start walking towards the balcony, but his path was obscured by a mare that crashed through the window. “What the hay?” Spike thought to himself as he rushed over to the mare to aid her. Upon inspecting the mare he noticed a very familiar crescent moon shaped cutie mark. “Princess Luna is that you? What the buck happened?!” Spike nearly shouted Luna’s ears of trying to find out the events that just unfolded in front of him. Alas, it was no use Luna was out cold and had multiple gashes and bruises along her body and now had glass shards protruding her body. She was covered in blood, some hers some not hers, but Spike didn’t care he was just worried about getting Luna to the hospital as soon as possible. “How the hay am I going to get her there?” Spike asked him-self as he realized his predicament. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*EARLIER* “Twilight, please stop this madness!” Celestia shouted to her former student in hopes of stopping the conflict that was unfolding before her. She didn’t want to hurt Twilight, but she is beginning to become a major threat to her and all of Equestria. She raised up and flared her horn toward Twilight, “Twilight, Put Spike Down!” She commanded as she shouted in the royal Canterlot voice. “Sorry Princess, but I don’t take orders from you anymore,” Twilight did the opposite, she hurled Spike toward her and in desperation she caught Spike and set him down on the other side of the room. “And further more you aren’t the most powerful in all of Equestria, I am…..” Princess Celestia began to feel a magical grip around her throat, as she tried to look down she noticed that she was being lifted in the air, and could now begin to see the city that spread before her and the star lit sky as she began to feel like giving up. She saw a dark figure in the distance, flying towards them… “Now it’s time for your reign to come to an end, and for mine to begin.” “Die!” Princess Celestia began to struggle against Twilight magical death grip around her throat, trying to regain hope, now that she has seen a savior headed towards them, at break-neck pace. Twilight not noticing, conjured up a tiny dagger, and began her advance toward the Princess; she started toward her wings, that way she wouldn’t be able to fly and escape. With the dagger she began to sink the dagger into the flesh of her former mentor, oh how she loved the pain she caused Celestia. Cries of immense pain rang out from Princess Celestia, she couldn’t tell if it was from the dagger that was entering her body or was from the shock that Twilight intended to kill her. “Hmm I really enjoy cutting into your skin, maybe I will keep you as a pet instead, so I can torment you whenever I want!” Twilight squealed in delight and looked into the eyes of her new pet, this made Celestia cringe at the thought of being someponys pet and tortured whenever they felt necessary. More importantly this brought tears to her eyes, now her beloved Twilight was now a victim to dark magic and had the darkness in her heart to kill the one she once adored and take over all of Equestria. Her thoughts were interrupted by a dark figure sneaking up behind her tormentor. Twilight now sensing a presence around her, lights up her horn in defense and puts up a magical barrier to protect herself from danger. “Well you can’t sneak up on me, so you might as well come face to face with your new ruler.” Twilight said as she turned around to face the dark figure behind her. The moonlight revealed the dark figure as Princess Luna, who had her horn lit and her wings flared out to intimidate the self-proclaimed “New Ruler.” “New Ruler? What are you talking about? Who are you? And why do you seek harm upon my sister and all of Equestria ” Princess Luna commanded to the strange pony standing in front of her sliding a shiny steel blade into her elder sister. Her muscles were tense and her mind was racing with all these thoughts and all these questions. Luna’s main concern was; Why? Why would anypony go this far just to get what they wanted? Why was she hurting her sister? And last but not least, why was she trying to take over Equestria? Why? As the tormenter turned around Princess Luna nearly jumped up to the moon as she now found out that the tormenter was none other than Twilight Sparkle. “Surprised Luna? I thought you would be,” Twilight said with a light chuckle. “Now it is time for me to take what is rightfully mine…” “This land and soon the world.”

What have we done to cause this?” Luna said tensing up, with beads of sweat starting to form at her brow. Her horn flared up trying to suppress Twilight, who was still harming her elder sister, but it was no use Twilight transported behind her with her bloody dagger and dropped Celestia to the floor of the balcony. Twilight started to slice into Luna as she tried to flee from her grasp, but she could not escape with Twilight transporting in front of her blocking her path. “Because I can Luna and what if I say that I want you by my side as my right hand pony?” Twilight said as she glared into the eyes of Luna, which were full of fear and submission, and stared another advance towards Luna. “Twilight please stop this! If I agree with you stop all the torturing and tormenting of my dear sister?” Luna said fearing for her sister instead of her own life, but also with betrayal in her heart. Twilight contemplated this for a moment, “Fine I will leave her alone, only if you transform back into Nightmare Moon.” Twilight said as she dug the dagger into Luna once more. “No Twilight! I will not transform back into her!” Luna managed to cry out as she received, yet another gash from Twilight. “Yes you will if you want Celestia to live, hmm maybe I should just kill you both?” Twilight said as she removed the knife from Luna’s skin drawing some blood with it, and thought of ways to get rid of the Royal Sisters. “Burning them would be fun, but also slowly torturing sounds fun to, or maybe ripping them limb from limb.” As Twilight said this Luna froze and shuddered at the thought of Evil Twilight’s suggestions. Twilight realized that she had froze and walked up slowly to her and used her magic to bring Luna to her knees, now with Luna at her level she whispered in her ear, “How I will enjoy hearing the bones in your legs break one by one.” Luna laid there with eyes as wide as her moon, tears starting to form and her mouth was agape, but no words came out. Twilight used her magic to levitate the dark alicorn into the air, Luna tried to struggle and break free from her magical grip, but it was of no use Twilight was too strong. “Goodbye Luna.” Twilight said her horn lighting up even more than before she shot Luna one last look, it was a look of pure evil and hatred. Luna was sent soaring through the sky and into a stained glass window. Shards of glass penetrated Luna, into her blood stained dark purple coat. She rocketed through the stained glass hitting the palace floor with a loud thud, startling a young purple dragon. *Present* Spike struggled to lift up Luna, “Ugh! Why do I have to be so small!?”An angry Spike shouted to no one in particular. Suddenly an idea came to Spike, maybe he can try and transform and grow bigger, like that one time in Ponyville on his birthday when he became greedy. “Hmmm I wonder….” As Spike began to try and make him-self transform. Luna barely awake heard this and lit up her horn, with her last bit of consciousness she began to engulf Spike into her magic and Transform him into and older dragon, and with that she passed out and her head hit the floor with a loud crack that echoed through the room. “Princess Luna! Don’t worry I will get you to the hospital with break neck speed.” Spike said as she flared out his newly produced wings and admired his new sleek body. He picked Luna up and placed her on his back making sure not to injure her further, “Now let’s fly!” Spike shouted as he took off, shattering yet another stained glass window and into the starry night sky, “Luna your night sky is just so beautiful I could watch it forever. BUCK! I need to hurry and get to the hospital before something happens to Luna!” With this Spike took off toward the direction of the hospital. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Was that Spike? No it couldn’t be Spike is too young, but then again he was the only dragon close by. Eh oh well, now back to the task at hand. Celestia will you hand over this land and kingdom peacefully, or am I going to have to kill you and take it by force?” Twilight said with an evil smirk on her face, and lighting up her horn to attack. “Twilight, why are you doing this? What have I done to deserve this tragic fate?” Celestia said struggling to get to her feet and looking at Twilight with a submissive look upon her face. “Awe Celestia that look is priceless, but to answer your question: you haven’t done anything to deserve this, it’s just that your reign has been too long. Ithink it is time to let the younger generation take control of this land. An the pony for the job is Me.” “Twilight, I know this isn’t the real you, the real you would have never succumbed to this dark magic. The real Twilight would have defeated this evil with her pure innocence. The Twilight I knew was my faithful student.” Celestia said as she lit up her horn in defense to Twilight. She cast the memory spell to make Twilight remember all the great times that she had while she was here in Canterlot. Celestia also showed her all of the adventures and missions that her and her friends went on and bonded together becoming the Elements of Harmony. Twilight lowers her head, her eyes are glowing white, and her magic is glowing around her. She is regaining control of her senses and her mind & body, Celestia sees this and takes some steps back to watch the scene unfold before her teary eyes. “Princess what happened to me? Is Spike okay? How about Luna is she alright to?” Twilight shot question after question, Princess Celestia just chuckled and smiled. “Yes my dearest Twilight, I’m sure they’re fine.” Twilight perked up at this and began to smile as well, “That’s Great Princess, now le-OH MY GOSH PRINCESS! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!” Twilight shouted in surprise, looking at the blood and the gashes in Celestia’s tall slender body. “Don’t worry Twilight, this is nothing, I am just glad that the real you is back. “Hey Princess, what is this dagger covered in blood doing here? And more importantly, Who’s is it? Twilight called out to the Princess of the Sun. “Oh that is nothing Twilight, Now let us hurry and get inside it looks like it might rain soon.” Celestia called to Twilight, who was now picking up the dagger. Upon seeing this Celestia shouted to Twilight, “NO TWILIGHT! DON’T PICK IT UP!” Too late Twilight already had it in her hoof, she look over to the Princess shocked and began to transform back into an evil mare of dark magic. But this time Twilight’s mind remained active, but she didn’t have control of her body. “PRINCESS HELP ME!” Twilight called out in terror. Princess Celestia knew it was already too late for her to do anything so she took another defensive stance and readied herself. A little voice in Twilight’s head said… “Now you can watch as you kill your precious mentor! HAHAHA!” the voice hissed in the back of her mind. “NO!” Twilight shouted now standing back on the ground, lit up her horn and began her attack. Twilight conjurered up a new blade, but this one is longer and sharper than the previous. The blade is sent flying in Celestia’s direction; it pierces her flesh and sinks into her body, the blade goes through her leg immobilizing her, causing her to scream in pain. Her knees buckle from under her and she falls onto the ground, tears flowing from her face, she faces her attacker, who is now walking over to her. "It’s okay Twilight, go on I am at peace with this." Twilight heard Celestia’s final words and bowed her head so her mentor couldn’t see her tears as she slowly lifted the blade into the air and aimed for her chest. “I’m sorry it has to be like this Princess, just know that I love you, with all my heart.” Twilight quickly lowered the blade into Celestia’s chest, the last thing she heard her say was…. “I love you too Twilight, My Faithful Student….” Twilight now sat there alone with tears flowing from her eyes, she didn’t even notice that it was raining she looked over to Celestia’s lifeless body, “Why have I done this?” she said to herself as she raised her head to the crying clouds above her. “Why….” The doors of the hospital slid open quickly, “HELP ME! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!” Spike roared into the entrance of the large medical building. Suddenly he was surrounded by a dozen ponies trying to get Luna into a hospital bed, so she could be examined. Nurses were checking her vital signs, while being rushed down the hall way and into the A&E ward to remove the shards of glass from her body. Spike sat there in the waiting room worried out of his mind, “Was Princess Luna okay? How did she end up flying through that window? What happened to Twilight and Princess Celestia?” These were some of the thoughts going to Spike’s head as he looked out the window at the rain that now poured down from the sky. “Huh, I don’t remember hearing about any rain today? It is supposed to be sunny all week.” Spike said aloud to himself. “Mr. Spike?” A nurse called from the hallway Luna had been rushed through several minutes earlier. Spike got up and rushed over to her, “How is she?” He said so fast it left the nurse confused. “Mr. Spike, I’m afraid I had some terrible news. Princess Luna didn’t make it, she suffered extreme blood loss and a multiple glass shards pierced her heart. I’m terribly sorry.” She said as a river of tears flowed down her cheeks, she could barely see the green and purple dragon frozen in front of her, stiff as a board. Spike couldn’t believe what he just heard, “S-She d-d-died?” Spike struggled to say these words, trying to reject the fact that Princess Luna was dead. “No she can’t be dead! SHE CAN’T BE!!” Spike roared as he flew down the hall to the room Princess Luna was in, he entered the room slamming the door open. And to Spike’s horror she was laying there, motionless, breathless, and covered with a white sheet. “NO! This isn’t happening! This isn’t real!” Spike growled angrily as he started punching the walls and knowing tables and chairs over. “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can’t believe this…why? Why did this have to happen? What did she do to deserve this? Why?!” Spike shouted until his shouts became tears, tears became sobbing, and sobbing became hatred. Why? ------------------------------- Shining Armor and his wife, Princess Cadence burst through the already crumbled throne room. “What happened here? Is there anyone in here?” Shining Armor called out searching for any sign of life in the palace. “I don’t think anypony is in here honey. It is too destroyed for anypony to be in here.” Cadence said looking around the room as well. “Wait what is that?” Shining said looking at shards of glass on the ground. “Who is that sitting on the balcony?” Cadence said she lifted a hoof towards the balcony. They both rushed over there to inspect what happened. When they got there she was shocked to see Twilight sitting in the rain holding Princess Celestia’s motionless body in her hoofs. “Twilight what happened here?” They both said in unison with concerned tones. “Princess Celestia is dead.” Twilight muttered to them crying her eyes out still. “WHAT!?!?! First Princess Luna, now Princess Celestia?! WHAT THE BUCK IS GOING ON!?” They shouted at Twilight anger in their voices. “Princess Luna is dead as well? Then it is true I killed both of the Princesses.” Twilight just sat there with a blank look upon her face. “YOU DID WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?” Shining Armor shouted at the top of his lungs, while Cadence fainted upon hearing Twilight. “I killed both Princesses…. And now it is time for my reign to begin!” Twilight said with a wicked grin on her face, she lit up her horn and began to teleport when she looked back at Princess Celestia’s body and shed one last tear. “I’m so sorry Princess.” She still looked back, but she was focused on her new found pair of wings. “Wow I have wings now, must have happened when I transformed again. These will go perfect with my new title: Princess Twilight Sparkle. I Like it.” With this Twilight teleported, and thus began her reign. The Reign of Princess Twilight Sparkle: The Dark Princess.
