This is my FIRST, yes FIRST fan fic of any kind. Constructive criticism is welcome.
The moon shone down over the Everfree Forest, screams of fear rained out from a small out cropping, followed by laughter and cheering. Nightmare Night always seemed to be an eventful time of year, with Princess Luna’s appearance as Nightmare Moon, she still managed to scare every single foal (and some of the other ponies(wusses)), but even she didn’t expect what was to happen this night, nore did anypony else. You see, this night was like any other nightmare night, except for a flash of light. This flash of light caused everypony around it to stop the laughter and stare at what was left. A strange, mostly furless, creature stood there. Wobbling on its feet as it stood and looked around. Everypony just stared at this creature, not knowing whether to be scared or inviting. “Hello?” Luna finally broke the silence with her soft voice... well she was hardly going to use the Royal Canterlot Voice on a strange, rather scared creature, was she? “T-T-T-T-T” was all the creature managed, before it fell backwards in a faint. It was lucky it was near Luna, her magic caught it just before he smashed into the statue portraying Nightmare Moon. “We need to get this thing somewhere warm and fast” Luna ordered, quickly taking the creature with her towards to the town of Ponyville. The crowd that were once in laughter quickly separated to make way for the princess, a determined look on her face. This creature was weird: it stood on two legs, had strange claw like things for hooves, and very little fur. Nothing anypony had ever seen before, but even so it was still in need of help and that is just what the princess intended for it to receive. She was rushing towards the one place she knew might have an answer, the Library! The door of the library crashed open with a very loud bang, startling the Unicorn inside. “Twilight Sparkle! We require your aid!” Panted a very flustered Luna. “Princess Luna! Whatever is the matter?” Replied a very confused looking Twilight. The princess lowered the creature in front of Twilight, causing the same reaction from her as from everypony else: Stunned. “Princess... What is it?” enquired a very puzzled Twilight. “We do not know” Luna replied swiftly “Never have I, or anypony seen one of these before. But it still requires our aid! It is in a state of faint.” Twilight nodded, quickly preparing a space for the princess to rest this creature down. Along with Spike, her very helpful dragon, a space was created on the floor with blankets and pillows. They wrapped the creature up to keep it warm. “Strange end to Nightmare Night” Spike spoke up after half an hour. “Do you think we had this planned young dragon?” The princess responded softly, almost laughing. The dragon just chuckled, setting back to his previous chores. Twilight soon butted in “Princess, you have never seen a creature like this?” “Never Twilight Sparkle, have I or anypony, as I said, seen a creature like this.” Luna replied. “I shall talk with my sister about this, and return shortly to see if this creature is dangerous to Equestria, if it is awake by then. Until then, Twilight Sparkle, look after it.” A twinkle and a smile from the princess was all Twilight needed to feel assured. “I will princess, you can count on me.” She said confidently, with a small bow. With that, the princess took off into the night, soon teleporting away towards Canterlot, the magical mountain side city. Twilight smiled and took rest next to where the creature lay; taking the opportunity to study this thing the princess had left in her care. She observed what little fur the creature had, how its mane was short, how it was in fact a he. Much to her embarrassment. She lowered the covers again hiding his shame, but this caused him to stir in his slumber. She froze in fear; the princess had only just left! Spike was asleep, so it was just her and this thing. He turned to her and slowly opened his eyes. His reaction, however, wasn’t exactly what Twilight thought it would be. “Purple... Ponies? Ok now I know I’ve died...” He said, lying back on the makeshift bed. She blinked several times before responding “err... no you’re not dead, far from it in fact.” He pushed his claws over his eyes; I say claws... more like an apple pie with small carrots sticking out of it. Anyway. “ok and they talk... right...” He proceeded to tap himself over “ok I am alive...” he checked under the covers “I’m also...” “Naked, yes. I thought that was normal? Seeing as we don’t wear clothes normally” Twilight quickly butted in. The creature blushed “not... strictly correct. I’m not exactly comfortable being naked around total strangers, or in... a library?” he started looking around the room. “Yes, Ponyville public Library to be exact.” She swung a hoof round as if to show off the place. It was huge, books from ceiling to floor covered the walls. He scratched his head “Ok... not too different from human society... books and talking.” “Human?” She interjected once again. “Yes, I’m a human.” It suddenly hit him “You haven’t seen something like me before have you?” She shook her head “Not even the princesses have. You’re the only one of your kind to ever walk in Equestria!” He paused, stunned at what the unicorn had told him. The only one of his kind in this place? After a while of this awkward pause, he spoke up. “My names Daniel, Dan for short. What’s yours?” “Twilight Sparkle, just Twilight or Twi will do” She smiled warmly at him as she spoke. “I hope you don’t mind this next question, but um... I’d like to ask you a few questions about you?” “errrm... sure? Such as what Twi?” he returned the warm smile. “oh well um...” A piece of paper and a quill appeared from out of nowhere, glowing along with her horn in the same purple glow “such as what are those? And those?” she pushed a hoof to his apple pie tins, and his hooves. He was taken aback by this, clearly. It’s a bit of an odd question to start off with. “umm... well these are my hands” he said, holding them up “I use them to hold things, like you’re doing with, I assume, magic?” She nodded and allowed him to continue. “And those are my feet, they allow me to walk much like your hooves.” He finished, pointing at them. She noted down this information, and no, I’m not going to bore you with EVERYTHING she discussed with him. It’s all basic stuff, like how does he function, what was his society like. Stuff like that. As it turns out, the two societies don’t differ that much. They both rely on each other’s services to function, they both exchange a currency for these services, and they both eat and drink and well... enjoy themselves in various ways. Yes they even discussed sex, a delicate subject for them both, being both virgins as it turned out in their discussions on the subject. “Our cultures don’t differ that much, although I am disgusted that you eat animals.” Twilight said, setting down her paper and quill. “I did warn you about what I was going to tell you, I promise you we don’t always eat meat. Certain members of the human race do in fact eat no meat what so ever. I’m willing to do the same if it means I get to join your society.” He moved slowly closer to Twilight as he spoke. She yawned and stretched out “well... I am tired beyond belief. Dan I’m sorry to say but... that is going to have to be your bed for now, sorry it’s nothing more than a few pillows on the floor.” She looked at the pile, sighing slightly. “It’s better than you realise Twi” Dan said with a smile. “you go off and rest, you earned it after all that writing!” He chuckled. She weakly smiled and headed upstairs. He settled back onto the makeshift bed and relaxed himself. Twilight had made him feel very welcome after all that, but from what he understood his stay might be short lived if the princesses arrive. Twilight had told him about the rulers of this land, being kind and forgiving creatures, but still... he had his reasons to not wanting to go back home. He actually liked this new place, Twi had told him about the town in their discussions about human settlements. He wrapped the blanket around himself, still not comfortable with being nude even though he was now alone in this place. He peered out of the window to see some decorations from a holiday season starting to be taken down. “Yeah... I like it here already” He smiled as he returned to the make shift bed. He soon dozed off into a sleep, clearly worn out by Twilights endless questions.
The next day started sooner, and rather more unexpectedly than anyone in the library had expected or indeed wanted. A loud bang saw the entrance of Princess Luna, and Princess Celestia. “Luna, I’m sure a knock would have been more appropriate.” Celestia mused. “Apologies sister.” Luna responded, quickly fixing the mess she caused with her magic. Dan was on the front line to this onslaught of royalty, although Twi and Spike soon joined him, bowing down to the pair of them. Dan was bemused by Spike. “A dragon?” he thought, “this place...” he soon stopped thinking and joined them with the bow. “Princesses!” Twilight spoke softly, as if they were just her family “It’s lovely to see you both!” “Twilight Sparkle! My faithful student. How have you been?” Celestia responded gracefully. “Fine, never better.” She gently kicked Daniel, he soon rose up from his bow. “This is Daniel, I’m sure Luna explained about the um...” “Yes indeed she has Twilight.” Celestia smiled, and soon turned her attention to Daniel “No, I don’t know where you came from or what you are. All I want to know is, are my subjects going to be safe with you around?” Dan was taken aback by this, again another strange question “ummm... do you mean am I here to harm any of them? I can safely say no to that. I’m just as confused as you are as to how I here, your highness.” Celestia smiled “then you are welcome in Equestria. I believe your words to be true and pure.” Dan, Twilight and Luna breathed a sigh of relief, Dan noticed Luna’s and took great curiosity in it. “Now then, we must return to Canterlot for an important meeting with the Delegates from the Middle Eastern areas of Equestria. So long for now” Celestia smiled and turned to head outside, while Luna gave Dan a very brief look, before joining her sister outside. Dan turned to Twi “did Luna just... check me out?” Twi simply stared at him “What in the world do you mean?! She’s a princess Dan! They don’t just do that!” Dan grunted slightly, turning his attention back to his nudity. “Is there any way I could have some clothes? I don’t like being naked in public Twilight.” He said, rather embarrassed and nervous. “ooooooooooooooooooh...” she breathed out, rolling her eyes over the room. “Well... we do wear clothes on very formal occasions... but... well I guess she’d welcome the challenge.” “Who?” Dan too a keen interest in what the small unicorn was saying. “My friend, Rarity. She’s the local fashion-ee person.” She rolled her eyes “She’s one of these ponies who has an eye for detail.” “ahhh... Is her place far away?” “About five minutes walk” With that, Dan gulped. Blood rushed to his cheeks out of sheer embarrassment. “And um... how will everyone react to my presence?” “Everypony. And ummm... oh... yeah... it is going to be a mixed reaction I think Much like that you got from me when you woke up last night.” “Yeah... expected that.” With that, Dan slowly headed to the door, wrapped in the blanket Twi had given him. His waddling to the door made Twi chuckle. (Think about it, an teenage Male wrapped in a blanket. Funny sight). “Oi... stop laughing at me!” Even he couldn’t stop giving out a small laugh. “I’m going to get some weird looks now aren’t I?” “errrr... yeah? Hehehe...” She held her hoof over her mouth, looking away from him. He let off a large sigh. “Well... lead the way Miss Sparkle.” She briskly trotted in front of him, leading the way to Carousel Boutique. The look Twilight had given him the previous night was nothing compared to what every other pony was giving him. Some recognised him from when he appeared, others were so scared of him they ran away to hide, but they all had that same look of confusion and fear on their faces. Maybe it was because he was wrapped up in a blanket, well that’s what he tried to tell himself, but he knew it was because he was different. He was the weird one, not them. “Twi is it much further?” he asked, starting to get more and more worried. “Look in front of you silly!” she responded with a chuckle. As he looked up his jaw dropped. The building before him was just as strange as the rest of them, only more so. Twilight lead the way inside. “This... is where...” is all he mustered. Twilight chuckled and ushered him inside. “Rarity!” Twilight called out. “I have a friend I’d like you to meet; he has a challenge for you!” The white unicorn appeared before them, her mane perfectly brushed as always “Twilight darling! What do you mean WOAAAHOHOHHH!” With that, she took a jump backwards with a look of fear in her eyes. “Rarity!!! Calm down for goodness sake!” Twilight scoffed. “This is Daniel, my friend from a society not much different to ours, and the last thing he’s going to do is hurt you, right Dan?” “err... yeah that is correct” Dan sighed. “Even your friends are scared of me...” “Well you are... different darling” Rarity interjected. “But a friend of Twilights is sure to become a friend of mine. Now how can I help you?” A smile slowly forming. “Shall we begin?” “Certainly” Dan replied, a small blush appearing as a tape measure appeared next to him. “Darling you’re going to have to remove the blanket” Rarity chortled. The blanket slowly unwrapped from around him, dropping to the floor. Dan noticed Rarity eye him over, giggling slightly to herself. “Okay darling, I’m going to guess you want some everyday clothing... so... hmmm” Rarity’s hoof scratched her chin. “errr... yeah, do you folks have like cotton and elastic?” “But of course darling? Why?” Rarity gave him a confused look. “Underwear... that’ll be a quick one to do... Plus I won’t feel as embarrassed with something covering myself.” Rarity chuckled once more “Okay darling, can you help me with the measurements then?” “Certainly... Quicker this gets done quicker I can stop feeling like a fool.” And so, Rarity set to work taking measurements, discussing design ideas with Daniel. Twilight watched over them both for a while, before returning to the Library for an important assignment. Soon Dan’s shame was covered by a comfortable pair of boxer shorts (and frankly he was amazed Rarity had done it so well!). Hours passed, conflicting ideas, petty arguments and laughs exchanged from them both. Celestia’s sun was setting before Dan had a full set of clothes. Plain black trousers, white shirt, socks and shoes. Smart compared to the T-shirt and jeans he used to wear. “Dashing darling. Simply dashing!” Rarity said, with a great sense of pride. “Thank you so much Rarity, you know these are some of the best clothes I’ve ever worn.” Dan replied, checking himself out in a mirror. “Hmmmm.... IDEAAA!” Rarity suddenly blurted. The suddenness took Dan off guard “What what?!” “I’m going to design something extra special for you. Seeing as I already have measurements I can get working on it straight away!” “Rarity you don’t...” “Shush shush! I insist!” She started ushering him out of the door. “Wait don’t you want paying?” “Don’t worry about that darling, being friends with Twilight gives you certain rights” She winked. “Oh ok... well see you around then? Yeah?” She smiled. “Drop by anytime. OH!! And we must visit the spa together at some point!” “err... yeah of course, ciao for now!” he quickly walked back to the library. He breathed a sigh of relief walking through the door of the library; it was dark when he got back in. Twilight was hunched over her desk, but soon woke to the sound of the door opening. “Who?” Chirped Owlicious. “A pet owl and a dragon assistant? Too cool Twilight, too cool.” Dan studied Owlicious. Twilight giggled “Yeah, aren’t I a lucky filly? But look at you! Mr smarty pants” She giggled again. “Oh come on... I’m not over dressed for everyday life am I? You can blame Rarity for it” he chuckled out. “Warned...” she yawned loudly “you.” “Come on you, I saw you asleep when I walked in, no need to keep awake for me. Go to bed, I’ll sort myself out” He smiled. She returned the smile and gave a small nod, heading upstairs. “Sleep tight” They said together, both chuckling. Dan set his new clothes carefully on the back of a chair, sighing happily to himself. “Why wasn’t home like this? Everypony... god I actually said everypony... Is so kind.” He said to himself, smiling. He quickly made himself comfortable in his makeshift bed once again, and fell into a quick sleep. Today was another perfect day in his new home! Ponyville!
Another wonderful morning bloomed over Dan’s eyes. “Gooooood morning Ponyville” He whispered to himself, wiping the dust out of his eyes. “And good morning to you” he chuckled, looking under his sheets at his morning glory. He slowly stroked it “it couldn’t hurt... could it?” He pinned his ear skyward, listening for any indication of movement from upstairs, to which the library was quiet. His slow rubs intensified, he leaned back and closed his eyes once more remembering. “ohhh Charlotte...” escaped his lips. “Who’s Charlotte?” came the familiar voice of Spike. Dan quickly stopped “You didn’t...” “I did. Don’t worry yourself, you did have some privacy before I came down. Gotta do what you gotta do right?” Spike winked. “I didn’t see anything of yours anyway. So...?” “So?” Dan raised an eyebrow, his member quickly shrinking back. “Who’s this Charlotte?” Dan sighed and looked down. “Ex-girlfriend that I sort of couldn’t get over... I thought I had, until last night...” “Dreams of her? Dude, totally feel for you there...” Dan nodded “Take it yours is Twilight?” Spike laughed and shook his head “I’m her assistant, besides she’s more of a mom to me. No, I dream of Rarity.” Dan’s face dropped. “Good luck to you my scaly friend” He chuckled. Spike smiled and set about his chores. “Not a word to Twilight... I don’t think I could stand having another interview” Spike laughed from the top of a ladder as he replaced some books Twilight had left out the previous night, while the creaking of the library stairs increased “Morning you two.” Said the purple Unicorn. “Morning Twilight, breakfast is getting ready for you in the kitchen” Said Spike hurriedly. “Morning Twi” Dan smiled at her. Twi giggled “you have a...” she burst into laughter. As Dan looked down he couldn’t help but notice a wet patch right above where his shaft once stood tall. He had cum, without even noticing. (Come on, everyone’s done it... right?). “uhhhhhh.... that’s embarrassing...” he said, blushing redder than a tomato. “I’ll clean it up” “Would be a good idea Dan, no way am I touching that” her laughter quietened as she started her day. She winked as she passed by him. “Oi where’s the laundry room and bathroom in this mad place?” “Spike?” “On it already Twi, come on Dan.” The little dragon ushered Dan towards the laundry room. “Why didn’t you say?” Dan whispered once in the laundry room. “I didn’t see it! Must’ve happened after she came downstairs!” A voice from upstairs bellowed down to them “What are you two doing down there? It doesn’t take this long to dump a messy blanket! Spike knows this far too well!” “HEY! YOU SAID YOU’D KEEP THAT QUIET TWILIGHT!” The dragon suddenly blushed as a loud laughter rained down to them. “Let’s go Dan... and quick. Before she starts thinking we’re actually doing something.” “Hey sorry you’re not my type” Dan responded, giving Spike a little knock to the shoulder. “Oh yeah? And Twilight is?” Spike replied, returning the nudge. “Oi! That’s not funny! And besides... It’s Rarity” He laughed. “I kid little dude, chill out. Wouldn’t want to mess with a dragon anyway eh?” “Too right Dan... Glad you’re not as thick as you look.” A relieved anger in his voice. “And for your information, Dan isn’t my type either, Spike.” Twilights voice called back down to them. “How does she do that?” Dan questioned. “duh... Unicorn?” Spike pointed at his forehead. “oh... right... magic... got it...” Dan and Spike returned to the main room in the Library. Twilight was hard at it, ruining Spikes book keeping skills with her research. Spike merely sighed and went about his business. “I’m gonna have a bath if that’s okay with you Twi?” Dan asked, grabbing his clothes off the chair. “Upstairs, second on the left” She responded. “Don’t spend all day in their mind you, you’re not the only one who wants a bath” She giggled. He walked quickly upstairs, noticing Twilights bedroom door open. “Nice room” he said. “THANKS!” Came the voice from downstairs “But that isn’t the bathroom! Next to it!” “THAAAANKS TWI!” He responded, laughing heartily to himself. He walked into the pristine bathroom and soon had the bath filling with steaming water and bubbles. “Ponies have it good...” He perked his ear up waiting for a response, but none came. He simply laughed and went about cleaning himself. (After burning his hand in the hot water of course). *Knock knock knock* Dan awoke from his dream, still laying in the bath. The bubbles had gone. How long had he been in there? “Dan you alive in there?” Came Spikes voice from the other side of the door. “Yeah... Yeah sorry dude... Not gonna lie I fell asleep! This bath...” “Knew you had” Spike chuckled “could hear the snoring! Now hurry up, you and me have shopping to do.” Dan sighed and pulled the plug, the water soon vanished down the hole. Dan vigorously dried himself off, before putting on his clothes and heading downstairs. “Nice to see you dressed, finally” Spike called from the door “you ready to go?” “Yeah yeah, where we going?” “Just to market, nowhere special. Just a few things Twi asked for.” “Lead the way my man!” So together, the human and the dragon walked towards Ponyville’s bustling marketplace. Ponies were exchanging currency for goods everywhere Dan looked. “Okaaaay... hmm... Dan can you go get some Quills and parchment while I go for the groceries, just over there” Spike pointed a stall out to Dan “Just say you’ve come for Twilights order, he’ll know what you mean.” “Okay I got that, meet back at the library?” “Sure! Easy enough. See ya!” Spike chuckled to himself, giving Dan a bag. “That should be the cost covered.” “That’s... a large amount” Dan said, weighing the bag in his hand “How much...” He couldn’t finish his sentence, Spike was already long gone. Dan sighed and made his way over to the stall. The pony’s eyes widened as Dan made his way over to him. “Hasn’t everypony heard about me already” Dan grumbled to himself. “Hello there, I’ve come to collect Twilight Sparkles order?” He said calmly to the now white faced pony. “Tw...tw...tw...Twilight... Sp...Sparkles... Order...” responded the pony. “Er... yeah... My friend, Spike, told me this is where I had to come for it. Here...” Dan said, placing the bag of bits on the stall. “DANIAL! DARLING!” Came a very familiar voice. The white unicorn that is Rarity trotted up beside Dan. “How are you?” “Rarity? Hello there. Just collecting some Quills and parchment for Twilight then I’m guessing I’ve got nothing to do. How about yourself?” Dan smiled at the unicorn. “I’m quite fine thank you! If you wouldn’t mind popping over to the Boutique when you have a moment, I have something to show you” She returned the smile, looking slightly lustful. Dan didn’t take notice of her look “Sure thing Rarity, that’s if Twilight lets me out of her sight” he chuckled to himself “too many interviews about our culture” “I’ll see you soon then, I too have supplies to get. Ta ta!” She briskly trotted off. “Bye Rarity.” He watched her trot away before returning to the stall owner, who had got all the supplies Twilight had asked for in the time he and Rarity were talking. “Yes, that bag of bits is enough to cover the cost. Counted that too. Don’t worry I’ve left some in there for Miss Sparkle too.” “Thanks... Blimy...” Dan observed the large pile of parchment. “That’s what I think every time I see her list.” Replied the pony. Dan gulped. “Right... this is going to make for an interesting walk... Thank you sir. Enjoy your day.” “Take care.” Dan loaded the parchment and quills onto his arms, and made his way through the crowded market. It took him longer to get back to the library than he had first thought, then again, he did drop a few scrolls once or twice. That couldn’t of helped. Eventually he banged on the door with his foot. “TWILIGHT LET ME IN! QUICK!” The door swung open and the scrolls lifted out of his arms in a purple aura. “Thank you Daniel. Oh Rarity just stopped by, she wanted me to tell...” “That she wants me to go see her; yeah we spoke in the market. Oh here” Dan pulled the bag of money out of his pocket “Your change. I’ll go to Rarity’s if you don’t need me here.” “Go on, I’ve got study to do so you’ll be bored here anyway” She rolled her eyes. “Later’s!” Dan turned on his heels and wandered towards the boutique. A much quieter walk than the one he had just witnessed coming from the market. He was soon face to face with the Boutiques door. “Open. Well that’s easy enough.” He said, letting himself inside. “Rarity? It’s me, Dan.” “Just a second darling! I’m in the zone!” Came Rarity’s voice from upstairs. This gave Dan a chance to have a look around. Pony manikins, mirrors, gems. Nothing of real interest, well apart from the gems but he wasn’t about to steal anything from her. No, he just wanted to know what she had planned for him. “Ok darling come upstairs, I have a present for you!” Dan walked briskly up the stairs, and saw Rarity staring at him. Her eyes seemed to twinkle at him; a small smile appeared on her face. “Come in come in, you’re going to love this.” “Oh? What is it?” “TA DA!” A suit stood before him, encrusted with rubies. “Rarity... It’s...” He stammered, totally awestruck. She said nothing as he walked over to it. He grasped a sleeve and studied it. “Perfect. Rarity, thank you.” “It’s okay darling.” She moved in closer “anything for a friend.” “uhhh... Rarity? You ok?” Dan asked, starting to worry slightly. “I’m perfectly fine darling, are you?” She said lustfully. “ummm... yeah... sure! Never better in fact!” Then it happened, she suddenly planted her lips to his. He kept his hands high in the air, this isn’t what he wanted. He’d only known her for a day, so why was she doing this? He pushed her away. “Rarity... No... Sorry... It just...” “Darling?” She suddenly went wide eyed “I just... didn’t I?” He nodded in response. “I’m so so so so so sorry Daniel!” She wept. “Please... Don’t tell any pony I just did that...” Dan stood there in shock, and did the only thing he could think of. He wrapped his arms around her and held her against himself in a hug. “In a way, that was nice.” “Hmmm? Darling?” she said, wiping away a tear. “The fact you just kissed me, means that I’m somewhat attractive to you right?” She nodded slowly. “Well... Not that you’re not beautiful or anything, you are very beautiful, but I made a promise to someone about you, and I’m not one to break promises. So... I’m the one who’s sorry Rarity. The suit you made me is wonderful, but... I don’t know, I guess I’m just not ready for anything like that. Being a new world and everything else.” A tear trickled down his cheek. “I’ll go now... And leave the suit in your care, you’ll look after it better.” Rarity, who was now sitting on her haunches, nodded at him. “You still miss your last one don’t you?” He nodded slowly “yeah...” She sighed, hurting from the rejection “I don’t blame you, I was rushing. They both walked downstairs slowly together. She opened the door, he gave her one last hug before setting off home. “Goodbye ‘till tomorrow Rarity, well if you come over or... the spa! Want to do that?” Her face lit up in a smile “I’d love to. Aloe and Lotus are just the best thing you’ll ever experience!” “I’m sure they are” he beamed at her. “LOOK OUT BELOW!!! WAAAAAA!” came a yell from above them, making them both look skyward. “WHAT THE! OFFFT!” Dan hit the ground, knocking him out on the hard surface.
“Is he alright?” “I’m not sure, he is alive that much is true.” “I’m so sorry Rarity, I lost control” “Don’t worry Rainbow, he’s in safe hoofs now.” Dan stirred under the covers. He recognised one of the voices as Rarity’s, and another as the thing that hit him. “Covers?” he thought “I was just outside the boutique!” His eyes slowly opened as he groaned in discomfort. “Wha...” “Oh Daniel darling! Thank goodness!” Rarity’s voice crackled, as if she was holding back tears. She darted next to him and nuzzled at his neck. “Wha... Rarity? What happened?” “Umm... It’s my fault” piped up Rainbow Dash “I lost control and well... crashed into you. I’m so sorry.” Her head dropped in shame. “Is anything broken?” Dan asked. “Nothing, just bruises and a small cut on the back of your head.” Rarity replied. “Nurse Redheart informed me.” “Well then everything is alright. I appreciate the apology, because that impact hurt, but with nothing broken there’s nothing to worry about.” Dan smiled at the two ponies. “In that case... Would it be cool if we went, I don’t know, to dinner or lunch... or something?” Rainbow piped up again, scratching behind her head nervously “You know, to get a friendship going on the right hoof and for me to repay you in a way.” “Rainbow, that’s very uncharacteristic of you?” Rarity butted in. “Well I feel bad for what happened; I think it’s only fair I repay him for basically catching me.” “I’d love to, Rainbow” Dan chirped in. She blushed hard “Tonight? I’ll come get you from the Library.” “It’s a date” Dan smiled at her, starting to get out of the bed. “ooff... yeah those bruises hurt a bit.” The two ponies giggled “silly, of course they will. You took quite an impact” Rarity said. Dan took his time to stand up, holding the bed as he balanced himself. “well... that was harder than I thought it would be.” “You are okay aren’t you?” Rainbow asked, still looking concerned. “Yeah... I’m fine, just hurting. Been in worse pain believe me.” He said, gripping at his arm squirming at the memory. “Well so long as you are okay, I’ll see you later. I’ve got a date to get ready for” She winked at him “laters!” she soon dashed out (hah... dashed) of the room. “Rarity? Are you okay with that?” Dan asked, turning to her. “Yes Dan, you said yourself that you have to settle in. It’s just not like her to do something like that.” “What? Dating?” Rarity nodded. “Come on, I’ll get your suit ready for you. Don’t worry about me, you said yourself we’re still going to be friends. Oh and I do know about Spike.” “Oh... Maybe you should give him a chance? Never know.” Dan said, making his way to the door. “Hmm... Maybe...” Rarity replied. Hours passed, Dan had his suit on and was pacing around the library. Twilight was giggling in between her studies, and Spike had gone out with Rarity on a Gem hunt. “Where is she...” Dan said to himself. “She’ll be here Dan, calm down. Rainbow is loyal to her friends; she would never leave you hanging.” Twilight said, behind one of her books. “Any anyway, why are you nervous?” Dan stopped pacing and stared at the space in front of him. Only the day before had he told Rarity that he didn’t want any sort of relationship, so why was he nervous about an apology date with Rainbow Dash? Nothing was to come of it... Right? He stood there, convincing himself that nothing was going to happen. He was brought back into reality by the sound of three knocks on the door. “That’ll be her Dan, go on then!” Dan slowly approached the door, shaking slightly. He was nervous, and he didn’t know why. He grasped the door handle and twisted it slowly. As the door swung open he saw Rainbow Dash standing there. She was totally different to how he last saw her, or in fact anypony had seen her outside of the Grand Galloping Gala. Her hair was straight, she had powdered her face with blush and mascara. “Wow... You look...” Dan blurted, looking over her. “What?” She returned “I look good... right?” “Good? You’re joking! You look stunning!” She blushed and looked away shyly. “Thanks... You look great too. Rarity made that for you?” “She did.” He said, showing off his suit. “Rather proud of her for it in all honesty.” “Well shall we get going? I want to see that suit glisten in the moonlight.” She turned around and began walking slowly, shaking her hips as she stepped. “See you later Twilight, don’t be up all night.” Dan said, poking his head past the door one last time before shutting it, seeing Twilight smile at him before he did so. He quickly caught up with Rainbow after closing the door. “So where are you taking me Miss Dash?” “Miss Dash?” She giggled “please just Rainbow is fine... or even Dashie if you really want.” “Okay... Dashie... Huh... that’s rather cute.” He mused for a while. She chuckled more “Just a local place by the way, nowhere really really special, but good food and good drink is what they do best!” “I look forward to it Dashie” Dan smiled at her as he spoke, to which she blushed hard. They chatted as they walked, which lasted half an hour before they arrived at the restaurant. They laughed at shared memories of racing, playing games with friends and being idiots with each other. Pushing, shoving and more laughter happened as they walked through the restaurant door. The meal, constructed of Salad and Hay Fries, was more than Dan expected it to be. He had never expected something vegetarian to taste so good. Maybe it was the magic; maybe it was just that good. He and Rainbow enjoyed their meals, still talking about memories past. “Offft... I am full!” Rainbow claimed, patting her belly in satisfaction. “Me too... That was such a good meal. Thanks Dashie” Dan said, patting his belly. “Never thought salad would be so good.” Rainbow chuckled. “Told you it was good.” “Yeah but... That good? No way.” “Your bill sir” Came the waiter’s voice from beside the pair. Dan looked at the bill, as the sound of bits hitting the table rang into his ears. “It’s okay Dan, I got it. After all it is my apology meal.” “Don’t you want any towards it?” Dan asked. Rainbow simply shook her head, as the waiter took the money away with the empty plates. “Let’s go Dan, I’m pretty tired and could use a walk.” Dan nodded, and stood up to make his way out. Rainbow soon followed suit and lead the way out, still flicking her hips at him as she walked. They walked side by side for a few minutes on their way back to the library before Dan spoke. “Rainbow... Are you wiggling your hips at me to... umm... get me in the mood?” Rainbow stopped walking in shock “Wiggling my hips to get you in the mood?” “You know... Sexually...” “Oh... I was doing it yes... Okay no sense lying, I was rather hoping to apologise in other ways as well as the meal Dan.” Dan stopped walking and turned to Rainbow “Do you find me attractive Rainbow? Or do you think sex cures every wrong?” “What’s that suppose to mean? Yes I find you attractive alright? I was there for hours at the hospital waiting for you, Rarity wasn’t. She had to go deal with things and then came back. She saw the doctor on the way back in and told me that you were going to be alright, right before you woke up.” “Listen, Rainbow. I’m just... not ready for anything...” “Why? Did Rarity flutter her eyes and suck you in the boutique right before I crashed into you?” “WHAT? NO! She kissed me that is all. And I gave her the same reason as I just gave you Rainbow.” They stopped outside the library. “Thank you, for the meal Rainbow Dash. Enjoy the rest of your evening.” She flew off, leaving Dan to stand their alone. He stepped in the library and sat at Twilights desk. “Meal good?” Floated down Twilights voice from the stairs. “Was very, just didn’t end the way either of us planned.” Dan replied, looking down away from her. “She wanted sex didn’t she?” Dan looked up at her “Don’t worry, she tries it with every date, even me.” Dan’s eyes widened. “You two... Dated?” He asked. “Yeah, for two dates, nothing serious came of it. We’re too good friends to be fair.” “I don’t know Twi... I think I’m not ready for a relationship, but I dunno... there might be somepony I like...” “Oh? Word on the grapevine is that somepony likes you too... and she’s rather close to you...” “You?” Dan said, rising an eyebrow. “wow... that obvious huh?” “Guess what though Twi” He stood up and walked over to her. “What?” She said, tilting her head. “I like you that way too.” He said softly under breath, before pushing his lips to hers.
A few days have passed since Twilight and Dan made their feelings known for each other. Dan had treated Twilight to a candle light dinner every night, but there was one thing on his mind. “Twilight?” Dan asked, walking in after another candle dinner. “Yes Daniel?” She replied, softly smiling at him. “Why do you find me attractive?” This question stumped her, it wasn’t something she could explain, she just... did! How could she explain that to him? More for, why did he find her attractive? “I could ask you the same thing Dan.” She said, hanging up her cape. “That’s... a good point. Look, I just think you’re beautiful and your intelligence is really attractive, your caring nature as well.” She smiled at him “Think about what you said, and imagine me saying it.” He blushed, and gave her a long hug. She held him close, resting her chin on his shoulder. “Dan... Do you want to bed share with me tonight?” She asked, after reluctantly letting go of the hug. Dan’s eyes widened “you mean... really?” She nodded. “Keep your pants on though Dan, I’m saying sleep, not you know... the other kind of Sleep together.” She emphasised on the second sleep with a sarcastic tone. “Hey, if it finds you attractive I’ll be sure to turn over. I’m not going to rush you into anything you don’t want to do” He giggled, she giggled. “I respect you so much more than that Twi.” He finished, holding her under her chin. She smiled and led the way upstairs. Now, dear reader, around this time other things were happening concerning Daniel, but he did not know it. Miles away in Canterlot, Luna was thinking strange thoughts to do with him. As you may remember, she showed great relief to know he was staying in Equestria, but these thoughts were new to her. You see, she was entering adult life, meaning her body was changing. These thoughts concerned, you guessed it, sex... AND LOTS OF IT. She had put off talking with the one Pony who would understand for days now, but it was becoming unbearable. It was time she spoke with her sister. “SISTER! We must talk!” Luna bellowed, crashing through her sister’s chamber door. “Must you break doors down everywhere you go?” Celestia looked concerned at her sister. “What ever is the matter?” “Sister! It is urgent we speak!” Luna nervously spoke, fixing the door. “Yes...?” Celestia enquired. Luna sighed heavily. “It’s that creature I saved.” “That Daniel?” Luna slowly nodded at her sister. “I have feelings towards him... I cannot explain these...” Celestia chuckled softly “Dear sister you are entering heat. I was expecting you to a lot sooner. It’s perfectly natural to have these thoughts, however” her voice turned more sternly “Why this creature?” Luna looked at the floor in thought and confusion. “We... I don’t know why him... It just has to be him for me.” “Not to burst your bubble, as such, but he has started courting my faithful student.” “Twilight Sparkle?” Luna’s face dropped slightly. Celestia nodded and pulled a letter from the pile on her desk. “She has gone into great detail about his society, and it seems they are single partners only. As you well know it is normal for males in our society to have more than one partner, but this might be a shock to him.” Luna’s face lightened up slightly “maybe... if we spoke to him...” “Just don’t get your hopes up dear sister, there’s no certainty that he’ll agree to court you and Twilight.” Celestia looked over at Luna “It wouldn’t hurt to ask them both about it.” She shuffled on her hooves “we will think about it dear sister... Thank you for speaking with me.” Celestia nodded “It’s quite alright dear sister, you know you’re more than welcome to speak to me when you please.” Luna slowly left her sisters chamber, gently opening and closing the door. She was determined to think hard about Daniel... long and hard... ooo... *slap* what? Oh yeah! So with this new information about her friend and her fantasy courting, how would Daniel take this? Would he be happy? Confused? Angry? She had to find out soon, but she didn’t want to rush into anything. “Twilight! I’m back!” Spikes voice travelled through the library. “Hey Spike” Dan said, walking down the stairs. “Twi’s sleeping.” “Oh!” Spike put his claws over his mouth and started a whisper “Did you finally get it?” “Get it...? Spike! No!” Dan frowned “I’m not rushing her or myself!” Spike rolled his eyes “Dude come on, you set me up with Rarity basically... Yeah she told me today, thanks dude. It explains why she wanted to spend so much time with me.” “Ohhhhhh that makes sense... Well?” “Well what?” Spikes eyebrow rose slightly. Dan simply winked at him. “Ohhh dude, no we haven’t. We only started properly dating today, that’s why I’ve been out all day. Meal for two, movie and some swooning and smooching... It was just... perfect.” “Awwww you’re a softie really” Dan said, rubbing Spikes head playfully. “Quit it!” Spike giggled “Ok we’ll I’m going to bed, I’m tired enough as it is.” “Yeah I would if I were you; I just wanted a drink before I went to bed with Twi.” Spike stopped “wait, she’s allowing you to sleep with her?” Dan nodded and smiled “Dude, nice one. She must really like you then” “I would hope so Spikey Wikey” Dan said, mocking Rarity’s voice. It got the response he wanted, a moan and a pout from the small dragon, before he waddled off to bed. Dan walked quietly to the kitchen and prepared himself a glass of water. He looked out at the window at the moon. “Princess Luna... Why did you sigh when Celestia said I could stay?” He asked the moon, knowing it would not respond. He grabbed his glass and headed back upstairs to his loves bedroom. There she lay quietly sleeping. Dan smiled as he looked at her; she was tightly wrapped in the covers, lying with enough room for him to lie next to her. She had a smile on her face. “What are you dreaming of Twi?” He asked softly, getting back into bed. She turned and looked at him “you.” She wrapped her hooves around him in a tight hug, he responded by doing the same with her. The lights faded out in the room, and they both drifted to sleep. Thinking of each other, holding the other tightly in their arms and hooves.
