A former Marine is transported into the MLPVerse. Can he find peace among ponies?
Jack is a former Marine, after 14 Years in the Corps, he is transported into the The MLPVerse with only his Trusty combat Knife, and his clothing. Yep. HiE Fic. And I know it kinda Sucks, so, Yeah.
Well, where to begin? Name's Jack, I'm a former Marine of Fourteen years. Some call me "Fifteen" For some reason. I Can't remember my last name, possibly because I don't have one. I like the name "Jack Fifteen" so, I don't mind.
Anyways, I Was running from some thugs... I Was coming home from Walmart, Some guys decided it was a good idea to attack a Marine...Not the best choice. I Managed to injure most of them, but one of them had a Knife, Stabbed me, Right in the stomach. I Had no choice but to run and hide, so I hopped into a Dumpster in an alleyway, now I'm in a forest.
Now, My wound had Somehow slightly healed, Not fully, but enough to the point where i walk. I Would need some bandages to heal this, might take a while.
*Jack's daily routine*
So, My daily routine... Wake up, put Marine pants on, put Marine shirt on, put Marine vest on, eat, Clean guns, go to work, eat, come home, go to firing range, come home again, eat, sleep. Yep, boring life. That's a good thing. Then one day I'm out shopping, get stabbed, jump in a dumpster, Now I'm in a forest. How? Fuck if I know, I just want to Survive.
"Ugh. Wh-where am i?" I say looking up at the tree. "Well, that Somewhat answers that. Alright, How to get down...how to get down..." I Think out loud. I Feel around in my Pockets, as I Have many. I Grin. "Combat Knife!" I Reach into one of my Shirt Pockets and grab my knife. " Good. I Never thought I'd use this again." As I begin cutting branches, I Remember the Knife that I had used kill many people. Then, the flashbacks came.
*Flashback*
"GET THE FUCK DOWN! MORTAR SHELL INCOMING!" I Screamed at my Recruits. They did get down, Because if they didn't... They'd be missing limbs. " ALRIGHT! SCOTTY, TAKE YOUR MEN AND FLANK RIGHT!" I Yelled to my Second in command. "YES SIR!" Scot replied as bullet ripped through a new guy. "Shit!" I Thought as I ran to him. Kyle Johnson was his name.
"Kyle! Stay with me son! You WILL Make it!" I Told him as I Dragged him into Saftey, Bullets flying past my head as i did. "Alright, You with me bud?" I Ask him calmly. " Ye-yeah..." Kyle says as blood drips from his mouth." Okay lad, your gonna be alright, ya know that?" I Asked again, Trying to locate his wound.
"Okay, This'll sting a bit, 'Kay?" I Lie "A Bit?" 'Shut up kyle' I Think to myself. " Okay... Alot.You trust me?" " Yeah...I trust you. You are a Captain right? Th...They don't let ya be a 'Cap for nothing right?" He asks me, coughing up Blood as he talks. "Damn right bud. I Was a medic back when i was your rank."
I Was a medic as a private, seeing too many friends die back then. I Was scared for life by that. "I-I'm sorry Captain. For being hit that is." C'mon Kyle, Really? "No. Wasn't your fault. Your just a Private. Ya didn't know you'd be shot." I Told him reassuringly, Hoping he'd feel a bit better. "Yer right. I Didn't kn-ooOOOOOOOOH!" He was in pain. I Could tell, In alot of pain. " Sorry lad. Didn't know it'd hurt that much."
Dammit. 'Sorry Kyle, I'm a bit tougher than you' I Said in my head, as a medic burst in. "Alright Captain, where'd he get hit?" The medic asked me. " Chest, 'Bout there-ish" I Said, pointing to the Wound in his chest.
"Okay, I Got this." Then Kyle told me something. "'Cap, Get back out there and kill the Bastard who shot me eh?" I Thought for a moment. " I'll kill each soldier in that General area 'Kay?" "Thanks bro. Come visit me sometime right?" He asked me, Coughing less and less, I Chuckle. " That, I can do. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've some Revenge to deal out." I Told Kyle and the Medic.
"Thanks man."Kyle says. " I Got this. You do what you gotta do okay?" Says the medic. Heh. Count on me. As I walk out of cover, I See Scot and his group moving and firing. " Oy, Scot! Wait up!" I Yell to him as I sprint towards him. "Yeah? How's the Recruit?" " He's with a Medic. Anyway, I'm gonna tell my guys to Regroup on you Okay?" I Tell him. "Okay, but... Why?" Scot, You don't know very me well do you?
"I've got a promise to keep." Truth runs Strong there. "Promise? What promise?" " To Kyle. Told 'im I'd kill everyone in that General area." I Said, Running to my Group. " Alright guys! Listen up!" That got their attention. " Okay! Regroup with Scot, He'll Lead you from there!" A Wave of "SIR YES SIR"s Came over my ears. I Had a promise to keep. I Wasn't going to break it for my life.
*Present time*
"AH!" I yell as I fall from the tree, Maybe Twenty feet. "OOF! Ahhh.... Damn that hurt!" I Say as i hit the ground. "Okay, Goals... goals...
1. Bearings, Gotta get find where I Am. 2. Shelter, I'm going to need to hide from bears. Ugh i Hate Bears. 3. Weapons, I'm going to need some weapons if i want to eat. 4.Food, Preferably deer, But, i suppose anything will do. I Can also use my Knife to skin the animal for shelter. 5. Water, Cant go long without that. 6. Fire. I Can make a fire for a Flare and warmth. 7. Civilization, Gotta find people. Right, Hop to it."
*2 Hours later*
"Ah! Perfect stick. Perfect length, thickness, This'll do nicely." I Say " I Should be able to make a Spear out of this. Use it for fishing." I Go on the hunt for food, And a pond of fish. " Good. pond, Fish? Fish. I Think i can get some fish with this spear." Fish. Fish everywhere. After 15 minutes of fishing, I Decided to find, or build, Shelter.

"Okay, so, I Got fish, water, shelter, weapons, fire. I Got everything I need for the night. Should be safe." I Say to myself, Laying down on the rock for a pillow. The "Bed"

I Am sound asleep, not that that was easy, this bed is like a rock. Oh, it is. Anyway, i hear a sound. "Oh...This could be bad..." I Say, climbing out of the shelter. "Oh no, is that a bear? Dammit." I Think to myself. Then I hear a voice...

I Whisper to my self. New plan, wait, Stomach... Damn, Whatever, I've been through worse. Much worse. Anyway, plan. Options? 1. Make peace? 2. Run. 3. Hide.
I'll go with Two. i get up silently... and then run. " Hello?! Who's there?" It sounds like a Female. As I'm running, i hear wings flapping. Wait, WINGS?! Ugh. Wonderful. Keep running. Keep running. Keep running! Suddenly, I feel Hoofs on the back of my head. I Was out Cold.
Next thing i know I'm in a... Cottage? Makes as much sense as... anything. Then, Another voice. " H-hello? A-are you okay?" I Take a look around, and see a different pony. A Yellow one with a Pink mane. As i get up I heard an "EEP!" Suprised, I quickly say " It's okay! I'm not gonna hurt you. Anyway... What are you?" then I hear " The question is, what are You?!" ... She had a Calmer voice. " I'm a human. and you are..." " A Pony. Pegasus to be exact."
Pegasus? But... those don't... Screw it. I don't care anymore. "Anyway, where did you come from?" " Where are we now?" That's the Gold question. " Outskirts of ponyville" Ponyville? Ugh. "Special Military Forces. Anyway, I Joined the marines, Killing people for my country. Let's see... when I Got here, the year was 2016, So... 14 Years. 14 Years in the service. Killing men for freedom. I Sometimes get flashbacks." The doctor Notices a raised heart rate. I Scream as I Pass out. Having another flashback. The flashbacks. The nightmares. My life. My fucking shitty life. I Suppose i could start a new life here.

I Had a promise to keep. I Wasn't going to break it for my life. Kyle had been shot. I Was going to kill the S.O.B.s who'd got him. All of them. As I sprinted to the line, I Loaded my M4 and my Glock 19. Run, I'm coming for you.
"RAAAAAAAH!" I Yelled, as I stab an Enemy in the head. I love this knife, Saved my life on Many occasions. This, was another save. I take an enemy's pistol, Shoot him in the chest, and Shoot his allies. Then, A frag grenade rolls by. "SHIT!" I Think out loud. I Toss the grenade, Exploding 10 Feet away, somehow, I hadn't got hit by shrapnel. "YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL ME?! THINK AGAIN!" I Scream into a crowd.
A Soldier tackles me to the ground. I Tell him Something as he's about to execute me. "Think for a second." I Say, reaching to my grenade belt. " One move. I Blow us the fuck up." I Guess he hadn't seen the Glock ,as I Quickly grab it and shoot him Twice

The room consisted of a queen size bed, a table with a lamp, a bathroom, which, speaking of bathroom, I need a Shower. Sidetracked there, a pillow, and a blanket.I Like this room, alot. " Well, I'll take a shower and go to bed." " Okay, to turn on the shower just touch the cloud." " Got it. Thanks."

"Mmm" I Yawn as I climb into bed, pulling the blanket over me. I've never had this sort of hospitality before. Gunshot. Yelling. I need to get those Screams and Gunshots checked out. I could be going Insane slightly. I Smiled as I went to sleep in the bed made of Clouds. Sleeping on clouds, Not even something I could dream of doing.

I Woke up to the smell of pancakes. I Haven't have pancakes in a while. I Moaned as I got out of bed, not wanting to leave it. Though, I hadn't eaten yesterday. I Lifted my shirt to see bandages. ' Well, at least it's not an open wound anymore.' Still hurts.
I walked to the smell of the food, smelling coffee. 'Sweet sweet coffee, keeps me alive.' I think to myself. " Oh hey, Your up." "Yeah. That bed's the most comfortable thing I've slept on in weeks." Rocks, grass, in a tree, cots, to name a few... less comfy things I'd been sleeping on." Really?" "Yep. Anyway, I smelled pancakes." Gunshot.
"Right there." She said, pointing to a plate of pancakes. I walked over and ate the pancakes. After eating them and drinking the coffee, I felt another flashback coming on. " Oh no." I Said, Dash turning head, " What?" " Flashback coming." It was already starting. " Will you be okay?" "Yeah, just... gimme a minute." I Was already in the flashback.

War Hospital.
"Hey. I'm here to see Kyle Johnson." Yep. Two months later, I was visiting Kyle. " Right this way Captain." As we walked to his room, I Saw dying Soldiers, some with limbs missing, just, blood everywhere. "Mr. Johnson? You have a visiter." I Walk in, Kyle with a somewhat shocked face on. " Hey." " Y-your alive!" " Damn right. I had a promise to keep. Killed with the ol' M4"
"A little low tech don't you think?" Psh. "Hell no! Things better than any gun! Well, except the M8 maybe." "Speaking of..." He said, handing me, what else, an M8 Rifle. " Holy shit, How'd ya know?!" " You learn when you eavesdrop." Damn. Beat me there. " Sneaky bastard." I chuckled out. " Anyway, need anything?"
"Hmm..." He thought for a minute " How 'bout some real food?" 'Real' food. Peh. " I got some MREs to spare" "Sweet." He says as I hand him the MREs " Anything else?" "Proof" Proof? I Groan. " You okay?" "Yeah. I need to get that checked out." Gunshot, Explosion. " First, I need to get out and about." "How about we go back to Twilight's?" Fiiiiine. "Sure"

We knock on the door of the library. " Who is it?" " It's Dash and Jack!" "Coming!" As she opens the door, I Can tell she just found something amazing. " Hey... Uh, can I try a spell on you?" Oh shit..." What kind?" "It'll give you wings" 'Wings' my eyebrow shot right up. " Really?" Can't be... "Yeah! It lasts a long time too!" "With that, I had another smile on my face. "Twilight, are you Sure this is safe?" "Yeah! C'mon, let's test it." Dash looked at me. "Why not?"
Rainbow just stared, and stared. "Are you Insane!?" "Yep!" I said, walking into the library.
*20 Minutes later*
" There, try them." Twilight said, looking at my new wings. They are Black wings, to match my hair, With white feather tips. I Tryed to move them, and I did. Even taking off with a "WHOA!" We all started laughing. " Hey, I just realized something." "Whats that?" "I...Uh...never really had a childhood. Like I said, I grew up on the street. Nobody ever cared about me."
I Sniffed and landed on a hillside " Really? Harsh." "Yeah. I've missed the best years of my life. My mother died delivering me. My dad left not two years later."At this point I was... Crying almost." Wow...that's...tough." "Yeah. Th-that's why I just went into the service. Hey twilight?" "Yeah?" "How long does this spell last?" She had to think a moment.
" Until... today's Friday... so, Until Sunday. Why?" " I...I gotta think about my life some... Don't come looking for me until Monday if I'm not back." With that, I took off flying to the mountains.

As I landed the mountain summit, I remember my home on the streets, living in a cardboard box, getting my breakfast, lunch, and dinner from garbage cans. Having a single set of clothing, nearly dieing on a few occasions.
I had made many mistakes in life. I'd been lonely all my life, with no family, no wife, no kids. Sadness. Sadness was my life. Killing men, seeing friends die. I Sat down, legs dangling over the cliff, retracting my wings. Thinking what I want in life. 'Friends.' I think to my self. Just friends, that's all.
Then I remembered how accepting those ponies were. Dash took me under her wing. I had a home. Technically, at least. They didn't care that I was from another universe. Earth you come from a different fuckin' country, you were treated lower class. I pulled up my shirt to see my wound, it was doing much better. Almost completely healed overnight.
I Remember the wars, the murders, the deaths. None of that here. I've had a terrible life. Never had a car. Never had a phone. All my life, living on the streets, no T.V., no games. None of it. Again, I have friends here, I never want to go back to Earth. Wars. That's all I can think about, just war and death.
I've never been normal. Not even close. "Fuck... NO!..." I yell out, going into another flashback. I backed away from the cliff just in time for it to hit me.

"See 'em Kyle?" Yeah, Kyle was been my spotter this mission, to Assassinate an enemy General. "Yeah. Got him in scope. Fire?" He whispered back to me. "Negative, too risky. Sit by a fire every night with a nice job. Here's a list of places I got the connections to." I Tell him, handing him a list of workplaces.
"Now, when you apply, tell 'em that Captain Fifteen has a Recommendation for you." "Really? Dude! This is awesome!"I Smiled at that. " Yeah. I Guess it is. Now, you got a choice here. Help me with this last mission, or head home now." I could see him thinking. " I'll help out."
"Good. Now, we'll move down this ridge, I got some flashbangs and smoke grenades. We can use them to distract the gaurds, sneak in, and slice 'em."

"Hmm. Guess life's not so bad after all. Ponies that care for my well being, a house, I'm livin' my dream." I Say hearing the slight sound of wings. "What art thou doing up here late at night?" " I've... taken a break from out there to... think about my life." And a decent one it is.
" Think about thou's life?" " Yes. I grew up on the streets back on Earth. Food from trash cans." 'That's... all gone now though.' "Indeed. It is all gone." I Looked at her with a confused face. Seeing the Mane Six from the show also." What are you here for?" "You, Jack, are the lost Prince, and our brother." My face was just confused as all hell. " Really?" "Yes. You must come with us, we'll get a chariot." "No need" I Tell them, raising into the air with those wings.

"Now, feel your inner power, and grab it." I Strained my head, nothing. "Nope." "What about those?" Celestia asked, pointing to my fingers. " My fingers? Okay..." I raise my hand to try and lift the chair, Making my hand into a fist and raising my arm. "Sweet...." I Say, that chair floating in mid-air.
" Amazing how those fingers work isn't it sister?"(Random thing, not part of storyline! At this point, my right thumb is REALLY sore.) " Yes, now, time to sleep." "Agreed" I say, putting the chair down. The sun Princess leads me to my room. Nicely decorated too. Painted black with red bolts of lightning. " Good night Celestia." "Please, call me Tia. And goodnight." To be able to call her 'Tia' is a real privilege.
* 6 A.M. *
I groaned as I got up, looking out the window at the sun. I smelled... MRES?! 'Ooooooooh yes!' I let them copy down the recipe from my pocket, as I had been eating those for 14 years straight. I Walked down to the eating area. "Morning Tia. Morning Luna." I Said, sitting down. " Morning Prince." They said in unison. " Call me Jack. I Don't like the name 'Prince'"
"Very well" "So, Gonna introduce me to the ponies?" Then Luna spoke up " Noon." "Sounds good." Breakfast went by silently.
* Noon *
I was dressed up in a tuxedo (Like This. ) and was behind stage. "Mares and gentlecolts, we present to you: Our long lost brother and Prince: Jack!" There was my cue. I walked out on stage and waved.
" Hello! I'm Jack, long lost Prince and brother of the Princesses!" I Stated, ponies staring at me, dumbfounded. "What? It's true! I'm also the bearer of two lost elements. The element of power, and the element of Intelligence, though I haven't figured out how to use the latter."
After taking questions, It was time for lunch and I was Starved.
We arrived at a local donut shop, where I got a chocolate dipped one, and a coffee. " These are great. Coffee is too." "Agreed. So, what are you going to do? I mean, being the Prince and all." "I'm not just a long lost Prince. I'm family. I take care of those I love. I may have had a terrible life before, but now," I said, looking around the shop, ponies looking at me all around.
" I have so much..." " And you deserve more." Said the waiter, pouring more coffee into my cup. " Ya may be from a whole 'nother universe, but you're still the Prince." "Well, see, that's the thing. I've never had power before. Except in the Military. I just... felt so alone. Nobody knew my name. Nobody cared for my name. To them, I was just another bum on the streets."
"That's different now Jack. It's like you said: Past-" I cut Tia off. " Is past. Have to life in the present." Then Luna spoke up. She hasn't much talked today. " When did you get that scar on your eye?" I touched my eye. " Years back. Got an infection there, can't see too good out of it. That's why it's gray. Hurts when I touch it. Not too bad though." We finished our food, I left the manager a compliment. " Great donuts lad!" "Thank you!" His eyes shot up. His food just got complimented by royalty.
* Royal castle. *
20 Minutes later.
We arrived at the castle. I just told them I was going around Ponyville. I flew to Dash's house first, and knocked on the door. "Who is it?" She asked. " Royal Gaurds." " One second!" She yelled out, door flying open. " Just kidding." I Laughed out. "Oh. Hey Jack. What's up?" "Nothing much. Just visiting a friend. Got a problem with that? I asked. " No. Need a drink or anything?"
"Nah. Just had a family lunch. Partly. " "Partly? How? Luna and Celestia were there. That's your family." " Well, your family to me. You took me under your wing in my darkest days. Not many People, nor Ponies are willing to do that. I'll Tell you something nopony knows." Her eyes lit up like... Lights I guess. " I was depressed before I came here. Almost to the point of suicide." "Why would you kill yourself?!"
"I Had nobody to catch me when I fell. Nobody to help when I had gotten sick. I've got friends, family, a home. A life. Never had that before. I was just a killer. I ruined other familys. I was nobody. I Just wanted to say," I knelt down and hugged her. "Thank you."
I Left her there, expecting her to fly off and tell all the ponies she knew. I arrived at The Carousel Boutique for some new clothes. I knocked on the door. " Who is it?" " It's Jack. The Prince." " Come in!" I Stepped in. " So, darling, what is it the you need?"
" A Formal outfit, and and two everyday outfit. Formal looking close to this, and everyday looking like this, and this. Can you do it?" "Well of course. Let me just get measurements." "Sure" I Said, holding out my arms.
* Applejack's Farm *
10 Minutes later. "Howdy Jack." " Hey Applejack." "Call me AJ, Prince" At that time, I saw a small filly run out towards me. " Okay, Anyways, Looking for some help?" She thought a moment " Well, Ya can help by fixin' up the barn while ah buck some apple trees. " "Sounds like a plan."
I Fixed up the barn, which was in bad condition, and helped AJ with the carrying process. "Yer pretty strong ya know that?" " I Am the element of power. Not power as in controlling everything, but as in strength. So I'd say, yeah. I guess I am." After that, I went back to the castle.
* Royal Castle *
9:30 P.M.
Celestia had gone to bed, but Luna and I were still up, Looking at the stars she had arranged. " They look wonderful." I said. "Thanks. I made a spot to look like you." she said, pointing at a spot of stars that did look like me. " I Just realized something. " " What's that?" " I haven't had a flashback in a while now." I said, scratching at an itch in my wings. "Well, I'm gonna go to sleep. See you in the morning Luna." " Goodnight brother."
* Dining room. *
6 A.M.
I Hadn't slept all night. Something was on my mind. " Something bothering you? " " Yeah. I don't know what though. It... Almost feels like someponys been kidnapped." And in that moment, Shining Armor burst through the door. " Jack, Princess's! We need help!" " What's wrong!?" " It's Twilight! She's gone!" I looked at my sisters. " I got this!"
I first went to the carousel boutique for my outfit. I didn't bother knocking, I just burst through. " Rarity!" " Yes? What is it?" " You got my clothes done?" " Well yes, Why?" " It's Twilight. She's gone. I need those clothes!" "Here!" She yelled, tossing me the armored suit. " Good. I'll be back with Twilight." " And if you don't find her?" I Knelt down. " Then I'm not coming back. Guards! Let's go!"
* 8 A.M. *
Our Squad flew all around. Then I spotted her. " There! On the mountain!" As we flew up, I noticed that there were no other ponies around. I landed first, as I was faster. " Twilight! Thank Celestia you're okay!" Shining ran up to hug her, but was pushed back by a force field. " What? Twilight, lower the field." She didn't.
"Twilight! This is Jack! Lower the field!" No reply. " LOWER! THE! FIELD!" She seemed... Asleep. "She looks to be asleep Shining." " But why is she up here?" I Thought for a moment. " I Don't know. She might think this is a dream, when it's not." I whispered to Shining. " You. " She had turned around, and was pointing at me. " You took everything. You think you can just waltz in here and take the throne?" "What? I never took anything." I Stated calmly while the Guards and Shining slowly backed away.
" You stole her from me. Now you will pay." "Stole who? I didn't steal anypo-OOF!" I Yelled out, hit by magic, it looked as if Twilight had passed out.
* Hospital *
2 Days later.
I slowly opened my eyes to see Luna and Celestia siting next to my hospital bed. " Doctor! He's waking up!" A Doctor came in with a nurse. " Prince, sqeeze my hand if you can hear me." I sqeezed his hand. " Good. You were hit by a magic bolt. You may never fully heal." He tells me, removing tubes from me.
" Jack! I'm so so Sorry! I had been in a dream and apparently it was real and I hit you with a really strong bolt of magic. Oh he'll never forgive me!" "Twilight... I... Forgive you..." I told her. "Really? Why? I shot you!" " I... Know..." "Let him rest ms. Sparkle."
1 Month later
"And please, Take it easy." " I will." I smiled. I had been recovering for a month, and it was time to go home. "Let's go." "Can you fly?" Luna asked. " Yeah. I'll live." The flight home was silent. We arrived back at the castle, Twilight was waiting for me there. She had visited me everyday, along with friends. " Welcome back. " Celestia welcomed me back.
" Good to be back. " "So, Jack, Do you...Hate me?" Twilight asked, sorta sadly "Why would I?" " Well, for one, you almost died. Two, you might be in pain your whole life. Does any of this make you hate me?" " Nope. I have a new life. Not going to spend it hating you." "Speaking of hating, Pinkie Pie has a party waiting for you."
* Sugarcube Corner. *
5 Minutes later.
We had arrived at Sugarcube Corner, wearing my Tuxedo. " Do humans always wear clothes?" " Yep. We kind of have a thing against nudity." " One more thing different here." My two sisters had gone in first, I followed close behind. I went up to the podium. " Is this working? Anyway, Hello! I'm back from the hospital everypony! The doctor said I might be in pain for the rest of my life. I don't feel pain now but, I wouldn't doubt it as it was a really high power bolt."
I sat at the bar next to Big Macintosh. " Hello." " Hey." " Name's Big Mac. Applejack's brother. Heard you're the new Prince." "You do have your facts straight." The next few minutes were silent until Big Mac asked me a question when I had a mouthful of cider. " So, Had sex yet?" I Spit out my cider." Too soon?" I Began laughing hysterically.
"What?" " Nothing... Oh man... That... that was awesomely hilarious!" I Was still laughing hysterically " That was a serious question." " Well in that case, no. No I haven't." " Why not? You're handsome, you seem to have a good personality, you're royalty, you're everything a mare could want." I Had reduced my laughing to a chuckle.
" I don't know. Haven't found the right mare I suppose. Plus, I'm from a different universe." " The universe thing doesn't matter. Mah cousin's dating a buffalo." My eyebrow raised at that. "So say something were to happen with me and say, Not saying that this will happen, just saying here, If something were to happen between me and Applejack, would you trust me?"
"Well yes. You are a Prince. I trust you with my life." " And I trust you with mine. I smell a good friendship coming on." " I smell one too." " So, Serious question here, Are you in love Applejack?" I Thought for a second " No. Not in love with her. I love her as a friend yes, but I think I know a special somepony." And with that, I left.
* The sky. *
5 Minutes later. I was headed to Dash's house. ' Gonna do it. You can do it Jack. Tell her how you feel ' I thought to myself. ' What if the feeling's not shared? No, no matter what, you will tell her how you feel. That's an order.'I landed at her house. Mansion? House? I don't know. I don't care.
2 minutes later, I knocked on her door and she opened it right up like she expected me. " Hey. What's up?" " Your house. Anyway, I have something to ask you." She had a confused face on by now. " What?" "Tell the full truth?" " Of course." " Rainbow Dash, Do you love me?" She got surprised at this. " Well... Do you love me?"
"How could I not? You're everything a stallion could want." "You're everything a mare could want. And my anwser is yes. I do love you." At that, I kissed her deeply, after the kiss broke, she told me " You're a great kisser. How is that?"
" I really don't know. I've never loved before. Only killed and hated." " That's different now." " I know. Brand new life." Then she told me something shocking. " I Need you inside me." I Had to process that for a moment. " You mean like-" " Yes. Sex."
Next thing I knew I was in her bedroom. " You know this will be a first for me right?" " First for me too." She started taking my clothes off, one piece by one piece. Didn't help that I had armor on too. I tackled her onto the bed and started kissing her neck lower and lower until I was at her wings.
" Ready?" "Yeah..." She said, readying for the next step. I put my throbbing member into her nether region, her eyes closed, apparently enjoying this. "Howdy Jack." " Hey AJ. Need any help?" She looked worried at that. " Well yes. Big Mac's sick today. Ah hope he'll be okay." " Me too. Anyway, what do you need help with?" I asked. " Well, you can help by lookin' out for 'im." "Look after him?" She nodded. " Alright. I can do that."
I walked into the house and saw Granny Smith. " I'm looking for Big Mac?" " Up there " She pointed upstairs, half-asleep. I walked into the room. " Hey. I'm here to look after you." " Hmm? Oh. Hey Prince." " Call me Jack. Need anything? Because I'll be here all day."
" Well alright. Can ya get me a glass of water?" " Sure thing." I walked downstairs and grabbed a cup and filled it with water. I took it back upstairs and gave it to Big Mac. " Thanks. Ah think Applebloom has some questions for ya." Alright. Fire away."
We went to Applebloom's room for the Q & A session." So, where did you come from?" " Earth. Not in this universe." " How many..." "People?" She nodded " How many people are there on Earth?" I had to think. " Seven billion." He eyes lit up. " Really? There ain't even a million ponies in Equestria!" I chuckled " Yeah, well, let's say that there's alot of better people than me."
" You seem to be a fine stallion to me. " " Well, you haven't seen my old life." her head cocked to the right. " Old life?" "I killed people. All my life since I was 18. That reminds me: I have a killing machine on me right now." She backed up. " Don't worry. I won't hurt you." I told her, taking out my pistol. " It's called a Colt 1911. Fine gun it is."
" That's so cool!" "It's not cool. It's bad. I made a promise to use it only when all else fails. I've got another one too. This one's bigger." I say, taking out the hidden Bushmaster ACR I had recieved in the war. " This one holds 30 rounds. It can be built quickly on the battlefield." I tell her, assembling the weapon. " And there's a built ACR."
"ACR?" " Adaptive Combat Rifle." I tell her again, disassembling the rifle and putting it back in the pack. " You like the outfit? Rarity made it for me. Custom design for maximum carrying space. Can hold enough MREs for 14 days of food." "MRE?" I sighed. " Meal Ready to Eat. Good for the field. Shelf life of 6-11 years." I tell her, walking back into Big Macs room.
" What'd she ask?" "Well, I showed her a gun." I said, pulling out my Colt. " Made by Colt. Gun makers." after a while, Mac told me he felt better and told me to go home. " See you later." " See ya."
* Royal Castle *
10 Minutes later.
I had just arrived back at the castle. As I entered, I saw my sisters. "Where were you?" " Slept over at Dash's. Anyway, question." "What?" Luna asked. " Could I build a house, and by house, I mean underground base, in a hill?" Celestia thought for a moment. " I suppose you could." My face lit up. " Really? That's great. Thanks." She smiled. " Of course. A Prince needs a good home." I Smiled. " If you don't see me for a few weeks, I'm building the base."
* Super time skip! *
2 Months later. I walked in to the castle for the first time in a month. " Hey. How's the house?" Luna asked. " Great. Finished it today. I actually got it done a month ago. Built an arsenal of guns for protection. I feel much safer now." My clothes were filthy, as I hadn't changed them in a few weeks. " Anyway, I asked Pinkie to set up a 'new PMC base' party." " PMC?"
"Private Military Company. A one man army always helps when you need some extra security. See you at the party. Wednesday good for you?" " Yes." They both said at the exact same time.
* Jack's Compound *
Wednesday. Noon. Pinkie Pie of course was the first to arrive. She just couldn't stand to miss a party. Guests started arriving soon, and man, were there plenty! I had struck up a conversation with spike. " Not so scary after all am I?" " Yeah. Sorry about the freak thing." " No worries. I would have done the same if I were you." "So." He started. " You built this place in a month?" "Eeyup. my guns were the hard part. Even have a firing range. Want to see a gun in action?"
" You bet." We went down a few levels, finally reaching the range. " Soundproof walls, floor, and ceiling. Now." I pointed at the wall behind us. " You chose one of each type of gun." He went up and chose a few cool looking ones, An M4A1 Assault Rifle, A Deagle, a Kriss Super V, a M60, and a Cheytac M200. "Alright! Put these on. To protect your ears." " Why would I-" I fired down range. " Rule number one! Don't question an insane man with a gun!"
" Okay!" I took out the Deagle again and emptied a mag into a paper target. " Which one next?" He handed me the Super V, as I put a silencer on it. " What does that do?" " Makes the gun quieter. " I told him, firing a round downrange. "See? Now, the sniper rifle. Made for taking out foes from a distance." I say, aiming down the scope.
Firing a round, i hit the target dead on. " A wise saying: When you've got less ammo than the enemy, make the rounds count." I stopped firing the weapons. " What's wrong?" Spike asked me. "Nothing...it's just... these guns bring back memories. We better get back to the party." "Yeah. I wouldn't want Twilight worrying." "You've got it good Spike."
"How?" " You have somepony to care for you. Enjoy it. I still have to adapt." I told him, flying up a hole. " I made this hole for Pegasi. For fast travel." I landed on the floor after a minute of flight, an exit opened up. "There. Secrets everywhere. There's alot more to this place than you think."
We soon got back to the party as I snuck up on Dash, giving her a kiss on the cheek, making her blush slightly. " Your hair looks good." " Thanks. What about my eye?" She looked into my scared eye. " You need a nickname." "I know. Eye make me look like a grizzled old war veteran?" I asked her seriously. " Yeah. It does. How long do humans live?" She asked me. "Normal humans live about 80 years average. I am part pony so, I don't know.'
" How old are you anyways?" "Thirty five. Old I know. I've learned some things." She looked back at me as I sat down next to her. " Like what?" " Come." She followed me onto a stage Pinkie set up. " Alright everypony, Rainbow Dash is going to try and hit me." "What!?" "Come on. Please? I'm not hitting back." She looked into my eyes. " Fine" She said, attempting to hit me. I grabbed her hoof as she took off, tying to land a punch.
I grabbed her hoof everytime. She finally got tired and admitted defeat. I chuckled lightly while she trotted back to her chair. Among the crowd murmuring about how no pony in Equestria had out-fought her. " Thank you." I bowed. Applejack trotted up and asked, " How'd you do that?" " Simple! Hand-to-hand combat tricks! You have to predict where she'll hit!"
Dash flew up. " I let him win!" She stated. " Looked like you were tryin' to me." AJ Told her. "You're right. I did try to win. First time I've lost in a long time." I laughed, not taking the win as a true victory.
It was a few hours later, ponies started leaving. Before I knew it, they were all gone, except for Dash, who had fallen asleep. I just put her in bed and I slept on the concrete floor with my new hat pulled down over my head. A Stetson like AJ's, she gave it to me as a house-warming gift.
* Morning *
5:30 A.M.
I was cooking breakfast for Rainbow, who was still sleeping. I brought it over to her, as the top floor was the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. I enjoyed the fireplace I had in the bedroom. Dash started to wake up. " Morning. Food's on table." Pointing to a coffee table next to the bed.
"Thanks. What time is it?" " 5:35. I know you don't work on Thursdays so we have the entire day to ourselves." " Go into town?" I thought for a second, as my chest began hurting. " Ahh... The doc warned me about that. I'll be fine, Just give me a minute." I told her as I went into the kitchen for a pill and water. I came back in, but Rainbow was gone. Then, she scared the shit out of me.
" BOO! " She yelled from behind, causing me to spill my water. " That's not nice!" I laughed out. " Now I have to change." I changed into my war-torn outfit. She caught a glimpse of me without my shirt on and saw my scars and healed bullet wounds. " Oh my gosh! Are those-" "Scars, yes scars everywhere. Literally. " I cut her off." As well as bullet wounds that healed in the war."
" How do I look?" I said, taking a badass pose. " You should take your shirt off more often." " Does get hot under my shirt, so I think I'll go without a shirt today. Think ponies would care?" " Nah. You look awesome with those scars." I pointed to my chin. " I'm trying to grow a beard. That way I look more... Intimidating. "
We went out on the town. It was a hotter than-usual-day. " I just realized something." "Hmm?" "I've had flashbacks for a while now but, I haven't had one in two months. " I waved at the donut shop manager, he waved back. " Everypony know my name now. That's only happened once before, in the military."
"Ugh." She groaned. "What?" "It's those bullies again. They always want to fight me, and they call me a filly-fooler." " I got this." I walked over to the bullies and asked " Would you kindly stopped bullying Rainbow?" in a calm voice. They stared at me. "What are you? Rainbow Crashes useless ape? " "Insult me all you want. I heard you guys like to fight. How about trying me?"
By now, a large crowed had gathered around and were chanting "FIGHT!" " Yeah. Good idea! Got him boys!" They came at me with full force. I came at them faster, hitting one in the neck to make him pass out. A roar of 'Ooooh's washed over my ears.
I took out the second one with a punch. Unfortunately for them, there were only three of them. We both landed and stared at each other, until he threw a punch, I blocked and hit him also in the neck, causing him to pass out too. I walked away slowly back to Dash and we left. She was just looking at my nose.
"Your nose." I touched it and felt blood. " Meh. I'll take a shower later on." "That was awesome! But you didn't have to do that." I Smiled "I know. That's the point. I do what others won't. I love you, and I'll protect you. So what if I get a bloody nose? That's nothing compared to the things I've been through." I said, pointing to my damaged eye. " The nose is temporary. The eye is permanent. I can't see good. That's why i'm making a robotic eye. It'll look the same, but I'll be able to see great."
"Sounds dangerous." "It is. That's why you'll help me." She looked back at me, shocked. " If I mess up, you could go blind!" "I know. That's why I trust you."
* Jack's compound *
1 Hour later
There I was sitting on a medical chair. " Ready? " "A-are you sure?" She asked, panicking slightly. " Yeah. No reason to worry. If I yell out, and my eye starts bleeding, pull it out slowly. If I am in pain, but my eye's not bleeding, that means it's working, okay?" I asked calmly.
"Just stop worrying." She calmed down a bit. "Ready?" She asked. "Yep. Alright, just poke it in there slowly." I told her, pointing to a part of my eye. "Ooooh" "Should I stop?" "No. Keep going slowly."
" There. Stop." I pushed a button. I closed my eye. After thirty seconds, it was done. " Okay. Pull it out slow." She pulled it out slowly. "Nice. Now, I'll have to keep the eye closed the rest of the day. Come on. Let's just rest by the fireplace." "Okay."
We went to the living room, just as there was a knock at the door. " I got it." I opened the door to see Fluttershy. " Oh hey Fluttershy. What's up?" "Oh, a-are you okay?" "Yeah. Eye surgery, Dash helped. I just have to rest my eye for the day." "Oh, okay, I'll come back tomorrow." "No. Come in come in. " She came in the house and I closed the door. "So, welcome to Villa da Fifteen. Make your self at home."
I put the recliner down to rest. " Ahhh... Comfy chair." " Oh hey Fluttershy! What's up?" Dash asked. " So, are you and Jack, you know... In love?" "Yep." I kissed Dash on the cheek. After that, I fell asleep.
I was really tired when I went to sleep. When I woke up, Fluttershy was still over, and awake. Dash was up too. I groaned, and asked " Want to see the compound?" " Sure. " " I haven't seen it either." They said. "Alright. I got to test this eye too."
"Alright. System check." Systems came up. " Hmm... Test system: Vitals." My vital signs came up. " Test system: Heat senser. Dude. That's sweet." Heat sensers came up. "Systems test over. Works. Anyways, tour. This is the main house. It's disguised as a house, but under it, is a secret base.. Let's go."
After a while of touring, we reached the range. " What are these?" Fluttershy asked me. " Guns. Loud, and deadly." "Oh my..." "Wanna see one? Okay, here's the Kriss Super V, with silencer. Makes it quieter." I told them, firing a shot downrange.
"It's an SMG. Sub-Machine Gun. Sniper rifle..." I trailed off, as Dash tried to take down a tarp. " No no no no no no! That one's special. Can't show it. Still making it." The truth is, it was a highly experimental suit. Iron man suit replica.
After the tour, Fluttershy left and it was dark. " Gonna sleep over here?" " Yeah. Too dark." We climbed into bed, as I wrapped my arms around her. " Systems sleep." I whisper, turning off the eye. Making it into a regular eye. "Night Jack." "Night Dash."
* Morning *
8:30 A.M. ** Rainbow Dash POV **
As I woke up, Jack wasn't there, but he left a note.
Rainbow Dash.
I made you breakfast, It's on the table. I'm just downstairs if you need anything. I'm working on an unstable suit of Iron. Just press the blue button on your way down.

The program rendered a good looking design.
"In the meantime, What's your name?" "JARVIS Sir." " So, are you right out of the movie?" "Yes sir. I can do all the things the movie can." "JARVIS Can we make two of these?" "Yes. Why?" Present... " I want one to look like this pony." I show a photo from the internet. " Okay. I can do that. And the other?" "Mmm..." I thought
"How about a stealth suit?" " Very good sir. I'll get on constructing. " " Thank you." I headed back upstairs. I saw Dash getting ready for work. " Morning. Work?" "Yeah. I'll be back by three." "Bye" She didn't reply. 'That's odd. she always says bye. I'll ask her when she gets back.'
The rest of the day was uneventful. I came by the Suit every hour.
* Later *
3 P.M.
Rainbow Dash was coming back, It's almost as if she lives here. Just then, she came through the door. " Hey. What's going on?" "I-it's my house. i couldn't afford it anymore. I was evicted." " Well you're free to stay here." She looked happier now. "Really? Thank you!" She hugged me. " I just noticed I haven't put my shirt back on yet." She giggled.
" You didn't have to take me in." " Yeah I did. Anyway, come here. I have a... surprise." I told her, blindfolding her. I took her to a massage chair and took the blindfold off. " What's this for?" she asked. " You're stressed out. I can tell." I tell her. She got comfy and closed her eyes. " I'll show you how hands are better." I began gently massaging her neck, going lower to her wings.
She trusted me. I could tell as she relaxed. " Your hands are wonderful. You're like a gentle giant." "I can also be a killer one." I chuckled out " Only when needed though. " "Right." I said. A few minutes later, the massage was done.
" I love your hands." "Thanks. Now, sit around the fireplace?" "Sure." We walked down to the fireplace and sat by it. " Could this life be better? I've got somepony who loves me, a nice house, family. And a suit of armor. Watch this. JARVIS!" "Yes sir?"
"Meet Rainbow Dash, my special somepony. Are the suits done?" " Yes sir." I got up and grabbed Dash and started flying. "You have to see this." We got to the suits. " Ones painted like you, and the other is a stealth suit. Cool huh? Thanks JARVIS." "You're welcome sir."
" Ugh. You tired?" "Yeah. Just sleep here?" "Hmm. Sure." I said, laying down and wrapping my wings around her. "Better?" "Mmhmm" She mumbled, falling asleep.
I woke up to JARVIS playing calming music. " Quite a good way to start the day hmm?" He asked. " Yeah. What time is it?" " 8 A.M. sir." I cracked my back. " Great. Let's run some tests on the suits alright?" I asked him, putting my shirt on and assembling the suit around me.
"Now, to retract the helmet, just think about the helmet retracting. It'll read your thoughts." " Right. One pecent power." I said, hovering off the ground. "This ready to fly?" " Affirmative sir." He told me, a hatch opened up top, revealing the morning sky.
'Right. No fear.' I think to myself. "Set speed 50 Miles Per Hour. " The suit flew up " WOOOOOOO!" I yelled. 'This is happening.' I flew towards the Castle. " Speed 300 Miles!" The rockets boosted me to 300 MPH. Within ten seconds I was hovering by the Castle.
I landed lightly, retracting my helmet. As I walked into the lobby, the guards looked at me. " What? A man can't make an entrance? It's a suit full of weapons." I walked into the dinning room. " I'm back." "What is that?!" " A suit. Of iron and weapons. Made it to protect Equestria. Moves faster than Rainbow." Tia just looked at me.
"Can it outrun me?" "Let's find out." I told her, putting my visor down. We went outside to race. " Three! Two! One! GO!" Luna counted down. I took off at 400 MPH, outrunning my sister majorly. I landed in ponyville in seconds, Tia landing moments later. " I wasn't even at half speed!" " That suit is fast!" Dash yelled out. I turned around. " Jack? Is that you?" She asked, I put my visor up. I half smiled. " Whoa. That thing is faster than me!"
" That's the point. It was made to reach anywhere in minutes." I told her. " Get on. I'll fly you back to our place." She got on and held tightly. " I'll hold you on." I said, wrapping my arms around her and taking off. " Alright, this is 200 Miles an hour." " About the speed I'd be at in a sonic rainboom."
I landed a minute later in the base. " Welcome back home masters." He said, taking off the suit. " Hey, you put your shirt on." " Yeah. Finally remembered to." I told her, walking upstairs with her. " Want to go out for breakfast?" " Sure. Let's walk though okay?" I scratched my beard. "Alright, we'll walk." We walked out the door, Dash kept close to me.
We got to a fancy restaurant in Canterlot. " You been here before?" "Nope." I told her. We walked inside and a waiter sat us down. I don't think she remembered it was Hearts and Hooves day. "Hey. I got you something." I said, handing VIP Wonderbolts tickets to her. " Why did you get me these?" She asked me happily. " Hearts and Hooves day."
She facehoofed " I totally forgot about that! I didn't get you a gift!" I smiled at her. "You already have." " What?" " You. You're the perfect gift." She nuzzled her head into my chest, putting my arm around her. " You're too good to me."
" I know." " If anything were to happen, and you could only save everything that you loved in life or yourself, who would you save?" I chuckled at her question. " You of course. You keep me alive. Therefore, I would be happy, no matter what pain I'd have to live in." She smiled largely at that. " So you would live in pain for the rest of your life to let me live?" "Precisely." I told her as a waiter got us some water. " Ready to order?" " I'll have a salad." " I'll have the same."
We ate dinner, getting a few looks. Other than that, pretty eventful. " You want to fly back?" " Sure." So, we flew back to my place. After we got inside, I asked, " You want to move in here? There's plenty of space." To which she replied " Sure. Thanks for the tickets. Means alot to me." I smiled, because of the simple fact that I made her happy.
" You're welcome. I just like to see you happy." " When I'm near you, I'm always happy." " You know, we still haven't sat by the fire yet." " Well, what are we waiting for?" She asked, walking to the fireplace. As she sat down, I lit the fire.
"There we go..." I said sitting by Dash, running my hand down her mane. " Remember: Those are VIP tickets. I also got a private session to see if you could be a Wonderbolt." She had fallen asleep. I decided to go to sleep as well.
I woke up in the everfree, it looked like noontime. I heard a voice. " Well well well... he's finally awake. That's nice." It sounded like a male. I heard Dash choking, and I quickly got up. " Who are you!?" I yelled, then, a human figure came out. He looked somewhat like me, Black hair, black wings with the white tips, scar on his eye, except his was on his other eye.
" Dash?!" I saw her being choked by the man. "Put her down." " Or what? You'll hit me?" "I'll rip out fucking guts and strangle you with them." This was my worst nightmare. come true. "Not going to say this again. Put. Her. DOWN!" I yelled at the man. I lunged at him with my knife as he shot Dash with my gun. I stabbed him in the heart. " FUCK YOU!! I'LL MAKE YOU PAY YOU SON OF A BITCH!" I yelled at him, stabbing him repeatedly. I ran to Dash, who had been shot in the head.
" No... Dash..." I started crying. " I..." I said, Luna flying up to me. She just stared at the lifeless body. " I loved her... with all my heart... Why not me?!" I picked up my 1911 and emptied the mag into the killers head. With one final bullet, I aimed it at myself. " Goodbye..." I told her. She tried to swat the gun away. It was too late. I had killed myself.
With that bullet, I awoke with a gasp. "AHH!" I screamed out. Dash was cooking lunch. I looked around and I was in my house. I got up and went to her. " What's wrong?!" "I... Just had the worst nightmare ever. There was another human, and he had taken you hostage. He had my gun and killed you. I unloaded five bullets into him... and shot myself in the head."
" Hey. I'm here now. Don't worry." I was still sweating like a dog in a volcano. "I'm... gonna go take a shower." I told her, walking to the bathroom. I took my clothes off, turned on the shower, and got in.
" That was horrifying." I told myself. 'Fuck you mind' I thought. I showered for about 5 minutes before getting out and putting my clothes back on, except my shirt. I was in a shirtless mood. I combed my hair back and looked at myself. My eye, my scars, it looks like I've been though hell and back.
Looking at my six foot five self, I figured I needed meat. ' But ponies are vegetarians...' I thought to myself. "Dammit." I said aloud, Dash seeming to hear me. " What's wrong?" I walked in with a frown. "I'm getting weaker. Humans need meat to survive. For the protein." " How do humans have the guts to kill helpless animals?"
" Without us, they'd be all dead. We breed them and eat them. We didn't climb to the top of the food chain for nothing. And because we're a terrible species. We were in... 6 wars in the past hundred years." " We haven't had a war in a thousand years." Wow. " Lucky bastards." " I can maybe get JARVIS working on a replicator to make infinite supply of meat for me. JARVIS!"
" Yes master?" "Could we get a replicator to make meat?" A short pause. " Yes master. I could start now." " Please do."
While JARVIS made the machine, Rainbow and I had lunch. "So, about the name thing. What were you thinking?" We sat for a few hours thinking. " Shadow Fire. " " Not bad. Fits you well." " Normally I'm just like a shadow, you know I'm there, but I won't do anything. Fire for when ponies mess with my friends." "Or marefriend." " Or marefriend yes. Dash? " "Yeah? " I kissed her deeply. " I love you" "Love you too." Shadow fire... I Do have that personality.
It was already dark. " Well. Let's head to sleep." I said, walking towards the bed. I hopped on and Dash followed, falling quickly asleep in my arms, while my wings covered her. " My wings warm?" "Mmhmm." She whispered, nuzzling her head into my neck. I slowly fell asleep.
I woke up and changed my clothes swiftly. I needed a favor. " JARVIS, tell Dash I might be gone for a week or two. I made an actual camera so she can see what I see. Tell her that she should meet me at the top of my house. Two hours okay?" " Yes master."
I kissed Dash on the forehead and made for the door, I needed a favor. I took off and headed for the Castle, arriving in minutes.
" Guards! Tell the Princesses I need them." They saluted and got Luna and Celestia. " Yes? What is it?" Tia asked me. " I need a huge favor. I know you brought me here. I need you to send me back to get a friend." They looked at me, worried. " I've got a gun. I promise you I'll be fine." " I...I suppose we could send you for a week. Take this." She told me, floating a small box to me.
" It will get you and your friend back." I nodded. " We need to get to my house. I'll provide housing and other essentials."
* Two hours later. *
Top of Jack's compound. "And to see what I see, press that button okay?" Dash nodded. I kissed her and stuck my hand through the portal. " Goodbye for now. Two weeks tops!" I yelled, getting sucked into the portal. I got up and, cars. I was in L.A. where my friend lived.
After two days of wandering around, I found his house. I knocked on the door. " Who is it?!" A man yelled. " A friend!" I yelled back, the door opening. " Who are you?" " Captain Jack Fifteen. You Kyle? " " Jack? Is that really you?!" I shook his hand. "Where you been?" " Well. You're a brony right?" He nodded. " I was transported to Equestria. Turns out I'm the brother of Celestia and Luna. Now, for the real reason I'm here." I told him, taking out the box.
"Would you like to come back with me?" I asked him. He was happy as could be. " Hell yes!" We fistbumped. " Let's go. Get your things. Clothes, and all that." He rushed to his bedroom and packed. " Goddamn man! So good to see you. I thought you died!" I pointed to my eye. "Lost sight. Bionic eye. Pretty badass. Very painful too. Anyway, ready?" He nodded happily " What about your family?"
"They uh..." " I'm sorry. We have to go now." I grabbed his arm and put his hand on the box, activating it.
We woke up in front of my place. " Woooooow" He said, obviously shocked. " This is my place. Underground base." I let us inside.
" Dash! I'm back! Meet Kyle!" She came out at an amazing rate. " Hi! I'm Rainbow Dash. Jack's marefriend." His eyebrow raised. " So..." " We have plenty of space here. You will meet my sisters in the morning. It's getting late." "You really scored didn't you?" I smiled at him " More than I deserve. I have a family, a lover, many friends, a house, and now I'm not the only human here." I took him on the tour, showing him to JARVIS, and finally his room. " Well, Night pal." He was fast asleep.
It was morning, and I heard Dash and Kyle talking. I walked out into the dinning room. " Morning." I told them. " Oh hey, Dash and I were just talking about life here." " Don't worry man. I'll find you somepony to uhh... be friends with. " I nuged him with my elbow I'll take you out to hit the town with Dash and introduce you."
We got up after breakfast and hit the town. First was AJ. He was sort of like her. Southern accent, very truthful, and strong. "Alright, first is Applejack. I'll fly you there. We'll meet Dash there." I told him. " Alright. Hop on my back." "Uhh..." I looked at him. " It's not a that kind of thing. I'm transporting you since you don't have wings. Crap! I forgot about he wonderbolts!"
" Wonderbolts? What about them?" " Hearts and Hooves day. I gave Rainbow VIP tickets." " What'd she give you?" I chuckled. " I was happy with just having her with me." " So, I've always wondered, how old are you?" " Thirty-four." I told him.
Kyle got comfy and I took off. " Don't take the riding thing wrong way! You know, I'm thinking about a special boot camp for the royal gaurds! What do you think?!" " As long as I can help!" " Gladly! You can help me with anything! Like practice!" I yelled, wind rushing through my hair.
We landed at Sweet Apple Acres a few minutes later. " Alright, walk with me." We walked into the barn, where AJ was feeding the animals. " Morning AJ. There's someone from back home I want you to meet. He's a human like me." she turned around. " Kyle! Come on in!" I yelled as Kyle walked through the doorway. " Howdy Kyle. Any friend a Jack's a friend a mine."
" Nice ta meet ya." " Name's Applejack." " Well. I'll leave you two for now." I said, walking outside. " Oh hey. We need to get to the Wonderbolt's thing." I scratched my beard. " Sure. Let me tell AJ and Kyle." I said, poking my head back into the barn.
" Hey AJ! Can you show Kyle to the princesses and around town?" " Sure sugarcube." " Thanks." I told her, going back to Dash. " Come on, I'll fly you there." " Okay..." She said, hoping on to me. I flapped my wing as fast as I could.
We arrived shortly at the stadium " Tickets please." A Pegusus asked us. I handed the tickets over and he directed us to an empty VIP booth high above. We sat down as the show started, or at least, I sat down. ' This is great. I gave her a great gift and a great man.' I thought to myself. " Who do you like more, me or the Wonderbolts?" She just looked at me.
"I love you much more. You give me all I could need and much more. You support what I want to do." " And that's the way it should be. Trust me, there's alot of better people you want to be with." " Don't say that. I love you and only you." I kissed her on the cheek. " I've seen things about because of the less amount of stallions so they get a herd. You know anything about that?" She had to think a minute.
" Yeah, only a few stallions do that though. Again, I only love you." "And I love only you too. Now, you going to watch them?" I asked as she turned around. " You know, Kyle's like a little brother to me. I've known him a long time. He was the closest person I had to a family."
After the show, we went down to the stadium where Soarin' was giving away autographs to ponies. Rainbow waited in line while I waited for Spitfire to meet me. Rainbow got her picture autographed and waited by me.
Not ten minutes later, Spitfire had found us. " Hey. You must be Jack and Rainbow Dash. " "The one and only!" Dash yelled out, boasting. " Yep. I'm Jack alright." Spitfire signaled for us to follow her for the try out. " So, how much did the private try outs cost?" " Alot. Don't worry. We're good on money."
Rainbow blew away the Wonderbolts with a sonic rainboom. They even wanted to make her a main Wonderbolt. " But remember; you might not see him for a while." " Oh I wouldn't worry. His hands are wonderful for massages. They will relax you more than anypony in Equestria."
" We could use a good relaxing. Can you give me a demenstration?" " Sure." Dash said, as I walked to the massage room. "Alright, just lay down on your stomach." I told her, cracking my fingers. As I started with the massage, Soarin' walked in.
" Wha?" " Don't worry Soarin'. He's just trying out as a relaxation specialist." " Okay. I'll come back later." He said. " No. You're fine. What do you need?" Spitfire asked him. " We need to set up a training program for Rainbow Dash." She had to think of a good schedule. " I'll think of something." she told him as I finished. " That was great! I've never been more relaxed! You got the job!"
"Cool. Thanks, now I can still see Dash." I said as I walked out of the room. "Oh yeah... what are my hours?" I asked Spitfire. " Monday to thursday, 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. Sound good?" " Yeah, sounds good. I start tomorrow?" " With those hands, you think you can also handle fixing things?" I nodded. " Count on me." I told her, walking out again.
" So how'd it go?" " I got the job as a relaxation specialist and handyman." " Cool. Let's get back to Kyle huh?" I nodded, taking off to find Kyle.
We found him an hour later at the Carousel Boutique, talking with Rarity. " Hey Kyle. Oh Rarity, I'm going to need more clothes." "Of course darling!" " Nothing too fancy though." She got right to work on the clothes. " Alright. Kyle we gotta go. I work for the Wonderbolts now. Along with Dash. " " Jack... I think I'm in love." My eyebrow raised. " Really? Who?"
"Fluttershy." I patted him on the back. " You've got to tell her. How do you think I got Dash?" " You're right. First thing in the morning.
After that, we headed back home. " So, what time will you be working?" " Monday to Thursday, 8 to 6." I told him as I landed. "Alright." I yawned out. " I'm dead tired." I said, laying down onto my bed. Rainbow was already asleep, so I just climbed in.
* Morning *
7 A.M.
I woke up at about 6:30 and woke Rainbow up. "Wake up. It's 6:30. We have to get ready." She just groaned so I shook her " Alright... I'm up." " I'll get breakfast ready." I told her, walking downstairs where Kyle was eating. " Morning" " Mornin'." " You know Kyle? I think of you as a little brother. And yes. Little. You're twenty. I'm fourteen years older than you." I told him as I took out an MRE to eat.
We talked for a while before Dash came down. " Food's on the table. I'll wait for you outside." She nodded at me. When I walked outside, I saw a little filly shivering on the ground. " Hey, what are you doing here?" Attached to her was a note. It read:
Dear Jack and Rainbow Dash,
I cannot take care of this filly, as I can't afford to. I hope to see you raise her as you're own. I am very sorry.
I took the filly inside, away from the cold. " Hey Dash. C'mere huh?" I asked her. " What?" She saw one look at the little pony and said " Oh my gosh! What do we do?" " JARVIS?" "Yes master?" " We found this filly outside. We don't know what to do."
"Don't worry." Kyle spoke up. " I'll treat her as my own. I know a thing or two." "JARVIS keep an eye on him. If he needs anything, help him" " Yes master"
As I arrived at work, I went straight for Spitfire. I knocked on the door and it opened. "Hey. What's up?" " Well... let's just say somepony left us a little filly to take care of. I can still come in though. She's with Kyle. One of my old friends." "Well. You have quite a bit to fix. Soarin' bumps into things alot." I scratched my head. "Alright boss. I'll get on it." I said to her, walking out to fix the things Soarin' broke, including a shower, a sink, and a ripped suit.
I was done with my work before noon. Spitfire said I had my own office, so I decided to find it. After twenty minutes of looking, I found it. It was a decent sized room, because it was Rainbow's office too. " Hey. Shared office, cool." "Yeah. At least I get to see my stallion still." "Yeah. You'd go crazy without me." " It's true. I can't stand being away from you."
Then, without warning, I fell in pain. I don't know why, but I did.
*** Kyle POV *** I had arrived at hospital as soon as I heard about Jack. They were looking into what had happened. I walked into his room. " I'm deeply sorry. He has to go into surgery. There's less than a ten percent chance he will survive. He collapsed because he had been hit by a magic blast two months ago."
I instantly saw Rainbow start crying. " He'll be alright. He's a very strong guy." I tried to comfort her.
*** Jack POV *** I was in a pure white room except for a dark figure. " Who are you?!" No reply. "WHO ARE YOU?!" I yelled louder. " Don't worry Jack. It is me. Luna. " " Luna... what are you doing here?" " You are dying Jack. The only way for you to live, is for you to follow your dreams." "But..." " No. No buts. Listen to me. What is your dream in life?" I thought for a moment. " To make Rainbow happy."
"Then marry her. It's the only way to get rid of your disease.." " I don't have a disease. " " That's the problem. Nobody cared for you on Earth. Ponies care for you. You are their prince. No matter where you are from. You keep believing it's too early for marriage. It's not. Go Jack. And make Rainbow Dash the happiest mare alive. I'll let you go now."
Just then, I woke up with a yell. " What?! JACK! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Dash exclaimed. " I need to ask you something." "What?" She asked. " Rainbow Dash, Will you marry me?" "OH MY GOSH! YES!" She screamed. " I promise to make you the happiest mare alive."
" You just did." She told me, hugging me tightly. " How are you feeling?" "Much better now that I asked that. It's like we were made for each other." I heard a voice in my head. I recognized it as Tia's. ' You were. I made her for you. And I made you for her. I made it so she wanted somepony with no fear. None. And somepony who is not going to give up. Somepony who loves her for herself. Somepony to protect her, with battle scars to prove it. Somepony who was awesome.That somepony is you, Jack. She is also perfect for you. Kyle and Fluttershy are also perfect for each other. The rest of the ponies will find other ponies.'
* 1 Week later *
The marriage. "Thanks for letting me be your best man." Kyle said. " Couldn't have chosen a better man. Help me with this, I want to look badass." "Are you kidding? You saved my life. You've saved many other lives. You're a total badass. Now let's go. Don't want to keep a mare waiting." I took a breath mint. " You look scared. " I put my hand on his shoulder. " I can't be scared. You know what I've been through. I now know what love is. Ever since I saw Dash, I knew. Also, are you like, you know, a dad now?'
" I guess so. I've been spending more time at Fluttershy's taking care of her animals and Mystic." " That what you named her?" He chuckled. " Yeah. It was at the meeting."
I walked down the isle waiting for Rainbow. A moment later, she came down the isle.
" Rainbow Dash, Do you take Jack to be your lawfully wedded husband?" " I do." She said. Kyle smiled. " And do you, Jack, take Rainbow Dash to be your lawfully wedded wife?" " I do." " Then by the power vested in me by Princess Celestia, I now pronounce you, Man and mare! You may kiss the bride!"
I knelt down and kissed her deeply. After that, we flew away into the sunset for the 'Just married' Party that pinkie had set up.
We arrived at Sugarcube Corner and walked in to almost the entire town, including Kyle, Luna, and Celestia. " I'm proud of you Jack. I knew you could do it." "Not without Kyle and the two best sisters ever."
The party raged on into the night before ponies started heading home. " Thank you Jack." Twilight said to me. " You proved that Rainbow was not a filly fooler, while also making her the happiest mare alive. I just hope the rest of us will find somepony."
"Twilight, I know the rest of you will. I know it. You are all family to me. I've been through rough times." I turned to Dash." I've lived to tell my tale. This is the end of my story. But it is just the beginning of our story. I promise to protect. I promise to serve. I promise to live to tell the tale of my life to our grandchildren."
I got on to podium " And I promise to live a good life, and to ensure saftey to Equestria. That is why I am opening Jack's boot camp for the best of the best of the Royal Guards. It will be a Spec Ops squadron of the top fighters, not afraid of death. This is the end of my tale! But the beginning of our tale. As a couple! United forever!"
The crowd was cheering at my speech. They didn't care about where I was from. They accepted me. Fuck Earth! " I don't want to go back to my home planet! I am home now!" I yelled, leaving with Dash to celebrate a new life. " I promise love you forever." " I promise to love you forever too Jack."
