Sequel to Fire of the Flame Ponies. After the Flame Ponies' defeat, one Flame Pony wasn't defeated. The particular Flame Pony's sister found that she was missing at the beggining of Pinkie's party. The Mane Six and the Frost Pony go on another quest to find her and bring her back. (The picture totally does not relate to the story, and is not Fireflier)
''You know, Princess Constellia?'' Fireflight said to Constellia as she set her coffee cup down. ''I haven't seen Fireflier in a while, have you?''
''Well, no,'' Constellia said. ''But you might as well know that she isn't a Flame Pony anymore.''
''How are you sure?'' said Fireflight. ''I mean, there's still a chance that she's still one.''
''Don't exaggerate, Fireflight,'' said Constellia. ''I know that none of us are spirits of fire anymore. Why would she be one?''
''Well, I'm just worried. She wasn't there when we were defeated. Besides, even if she herself was actually there, the powers of Harmony and Charm wouldn't work on her. She's too powerful. More powerful than you,'' Fireflight said. ''And your sister.''
''Fireflight, don't try this with me,'' Constellia warned. Fireflight checked her watch.
''You know what, Constellia? I'm leaving. Good-bye,'' Fireflight said. While Fireflight exited, Constellia made a sound like, ''Hurrumph,'' and sipped her coffee.
At Sugarcube Corner...
''I'm so glad you guys could make it to my Summer - is - Here - and - You - Thought - It - Was - Near - Hearth's - Warming - Eve - and - Defeat - of - the - Flame - Ponies party!'' Pinkie shouted over party music. Scootaloo started a conga line behind her. Pinkie Pie hopped over to her friends' conga line and grabbed onto Fluttershy's shoulders. Fluttershy screamed a little, but then when she saw it was her friend she simply smiled and turned around.
''Dance, sucker, dance! You'll never have a chance!'' blared the music. It was one of Rainbow's old favorites, You're Gonna Go Far Kid Offspring.
Spike, the muffin-maker, run up to Pinkie and Pinkie stepped out of the conga line.
''What is it Spike?'' Pinkie asked.
''It... It... L--Letter...'' Spike panted. He belched and a ball of green fire spewed out of his mouth. A scroll popped out. Twilight walked over.
''This I gotta see!'' she said. She levitated the scroll off of the floor and opened it. It said.
Dear Elements of Harmony,
Hi! It's us, the Spellements of Charmery. Remember Fireflight? She wrote to us in fine print, that a Flame Pony, her sister, has not been changed. She wasn't even there when we defeated Shredder Boom. We now have a new quest to find her sister and change her back to what she truely is; A Frost Pony! Please meet us at Canterlot Towers tonight.
Fernflow, Purity, and Flash Wave.
P.S. Can you also bring some some oatmeal?
''Oh, my. A Flame Pony not defeated? How is that even possible? I thought it was only Scortchfire, Shadowflame, Flamecatcher, Fireflight, Firefringe, and Shredder?'' Twilight asked.
''I don't even have any oatmeal,'' Pinkie said and looked around the room. ''I think I have a bowl here somewhere...''
''Why does oatmeal even matter right now?!'' Twilight shouted. ''And if we want to get to Canterlot Towers tonight, we gotta take the train now!''
The Mane Six told everypony that there was a new emergency in Canterlot and that the party was now over. As soon as everypony left, they closed Sugar Cube Corner and took the long train to Canterlot.
''I'm glad this train isn't so darn hot this time,'' Applejack stated. ''But I'm thirsty. Those potato chips I had were so darn salty.''
''Want another soda, AJ?'' Rainbow asked.
''I think I'll pay for it myself, but thank ya kindly for your generosity, Rainbow,'' Applejack said as she walked into the snack car. Rainbow shrugged and continued playing Tic-Tac-Toe and Chess with Pinkie.
Later, as Twilight Sparkle read through her book about Frost Ponies, Rarity walked over to her to read, too.
''What author wrote this?'' she asked.
''Roserobin,'' Twilight answered.
''These books must be old,'' Rarity said. ''I mean, 500 years ago?''
''These sure are old!'' Twilight replied. ''But not from 500 years ago. More like 60 years ago, but these aren't in print anymore.''
''It looks old,'' Rarity said. ''I mean, the cover's falling apart, pages have turned yellow, and the colors seem a bit, you know, drab.''
''Hey, we're here!'' AJ shouted.
The ponies exited the train and looked at Canterlot. Same old beautiful Canterlot. They walked to Canterlot Ponds, it was almost 6:00 P.M.
''Elements of Harmony! You made it!'' Fernflow greeted them. She led them to a big bench where Purity and Flash Wave were already sitting.
''Well, let's start planning about our adventure. What do you know about Flame Ponies and Frost Ponies?'' Fernflow asked.
''Well, even though we've experienced them, not much yet,'' Twilight replied.
''I see,'' Fernflow said. Twilight levitated a book down on the bench.
''But I did bring a book,'' Twilight said. Pinkie walked over to Purity and Flash Wave.
''Sorry, guys,'' Pinkie said. ''I didn't bring any oatmeal. What did you need it for?''
''It's fine, Pinks,'' Purity replied. ''We just needed it for breakfast tommorow. Besides, I found some already.''
''And guys, we need to see Fireflight, remember?'' said Flash Wave.
''Flash is right, guys,'' Fernflow said. ''We'll take the book with us. Anypony know where Fireflight lives?''
''I do,'' Twilight answered. ''In the mountains over there. It's not too far away.''
''What was the missing Flame Pony's name?'' asked Rainbow.
''Fireflier,'' replied Fernflow.
''No kidding. It sounds a lot like 'Fireflight','' Rainbow said.
''It sure does,'' said Twilight. ''But are we going or what?''
''Fine,'' said the ponies. After about fifteen minutes of walking, they came to a small cave-like house in a mountain, at the bottom.
Twilight rang the fancy white and red doorbell. It startled her by the sound it made. It didn't sound anything like a doorbell, but instead, a loud bang like a piano.
Fireflight opened the door. ''Sorry about the doorbell, guys. It, uh, needs some repairing.''
''It's fine, Fireflight. Anyway, we heard that your sister needed to be brought back,'' Twilight said. Fireflight smiled.
Fireflight's house was pretty enough that Applejack and Rainbow Dash had to gag. Rarity looked at them, then went back to exploring the walls and furnature. Fire rubies lined the walls and the chairs were silver.
''Yeah, yeah, what do you want us to do?'' Rainbow asked.
''Well, I'm sure the Spellements of Charmery have told you. My sister, Fireflier, hasn't been changed. It sounds weird, but it's true,'' Fireflight answered.
''Uh huh,'' Twilight replied. ''Who exactly IS Fireflier, anyway? I mean, what's her talent? What does she sound like? Tell us about her before we go.'' Fireflight nodded.
''Very well, then,'' the Frost Pony said. ''Fireflier's talent is processing Aura's Magic. In seconds. Aura's Magic used to be used for defeating--''
"Nemeseses,'' Twilight said. ''I mean, tell us about her!''
''If you wish,'' said Fireflight. ''Fireflier is the most powerful Flame Pony ever in Flame Pony history. She was even more powerful than Shredder Boom. I don't exaggerate.''
''Yes,'' Fireflight said. ''She sounds a lot like me. She also can turn invisible with the sunset, so I'd reccomend finding her before sunset.''
''But if she can turn invisible in the sunset, wouldn't she be invisible during sunrise?'' Rainbow asked. Fireflight thought for a moment.
''...I'm not sure... But in case, don't try to defeat her during sunrise either,'' said Fireflight.
''Twilight, for Heaven's Sake, you brought a book with you, remember?'' Rarity reminded Twilight.
''Oops, yes. We'll look through here,'' Twilight said. Twilight flipped through the pages, and found the Table of Contents:

''Page 118,'' said Twilight. She, once again, flipped through the pages to a blank, yellow page. The only print on it was the number 118 at the way bottom on the very right.
''I don't understand,'' Twilight stated. ''The page was here when we got here. Where'd it go?''
''Maybe some parasprites ate them up again,'' Rainbow said. ''Get it?... 'Eating the Words?' ''
''Rainbow!'' Twilight said. ''This could be important... Especially if it's about Flame Ponies. Besides, you asked if we shouldn't try to defeat her during sunrise.''
''I was just asking a question to pretend I was even listening,'' Rainbow muttered under her breath.
''Uh... What?'' Applejack said, unsure if Rainbow even cared about what they were doing.
''Um, nothing,'' the rainbow mare said.
''I don't see how the book will help you at all,'' said a voice in the house.
''Who was tha--'' Twilight said.
''Sister,'' said Fireflight. ''It has been a long time since I last saw you.''
''In the name of Discord, Fireflight, you don't need to try and be grim on me.''
''And you don't go harrassing on the ponies here. You know what'll happen.''
''Both the Charms and the Elements won't work, sister. You'll find out why,'' said the voice.
''Fireflier?'' asked Fernflow.
''Yes,'' said the Flame Pony. An aura that looked like Shredder Boom flashed in front of Fireflight. A tall Flame Pony took the aura's place.
''What the...'' Twilight stammered. ''I'm sorry, I just thought you wouldn't be so... Big.''
''That's what they all say,'' muttered Fireflier. ''Well, no matter. Neither Charmery nor Harmony will work. I mean, for Pete's Sake, I'm more powerful than that... What's her name?... Shredder Boom.''
''Well, you don't need to go rubbing it in everypony's face,'' Rainbow said. ''That should be my job.''
''But the only thing that anypony can rub in anypony's face is chocolate ca--'' Pinkie said, but was cut off by Twilight.
''Pinkie! We don't have time for that,'' the purple unicorn said.
''Don't you see what I'm trying to say?'' Fireflier said. ''Some ponies are just more powerful than their ruler. Inside.''
''So we could be more powerful than Celestia?'' Rarity whispered to Twilight. Fireflier laughed.
''That all depends. How powerful is your princess anyway?'' Fireflier asked.
''Don't charmspeak us, Fireflier,'' Fireflight said. ''We know you're trying to trick us into just giving Equestria to you.''
''You might be half right, Fireflight,'' said the Flame Pony. ''But I also have the right to change you and the Frost Ponies back to what you were, including Constellia.''
''You won't,'' said Fireflight. ''Because I had Constellia, even though she wouldn't at first, actually build a change-proof spell on every Frost Pony here in Canterlot and Ponyville. So you won't be able to.''
''What did I say about being more powerful than Constellia?'' Fireflier said. ''I mean, yeah, it's not necessary to do it FIRST, but when I gather up way more power than I do now, I WILL.''
''You will not,'' said Fireflight. ''Because the Elements of Harmony AND the Spellements of Charmery are as powerful as you.''
''Once again, you're not listening to me,'' the Flame Pony sighed. ''I said I'll gather up more power than I do now to beat you guys... AND change the Frost Ponies.'' Fireflier's horn glowed like crazy, and Aura's Magic surrounded her. ''See you later.'' And the flame around her rose up and disappeared along with her.
''Well, we won't last long,'' Twilight said. ''I mean, fighting a powerful pony with the power of flame just... You know.''
''Not all of us are afraid of some big, powerful pony,'' Rainbow Dash commented. ''You know we're more powerful than anypony, all nine of us.''
''Well, that last part is right. We're all ponies, and we'll beat Fireflier. I mean, nine Elements is better than six,'' said Rarity.
''Spellements,'' Purity corrected. ''And yeah. One lousy old Flame Pony is no match for nine ponies. Why, since she's outnumbered, I'd say we've already won!''
''So, where did Fireflier even go?'' Twilight asked. Fireflight shrugged.
''I don't know,'' the Frost Pony answered. ''I think she might have headed to Fillidelphia, because that's where she always heads first. I'm not sure. Check there first, but there's also the small possibility that she headed for Manehatten.''
''We'll check Fillidelphia first,'' Fernflow said. ''If not, we'll try Manehatten and see if there's any sign of her.''
''That's fine,'' Fireflight said as they ran out. ''And don't forget to check Cloudsdale and every other town of Equestria if there isn't!''
''We will!'' Twilight called back. ''We promise!''
The mountain where Fireflight's home resided grew smaller and smaller as he ponies ran farther away from it. Adventures that they had had together moved through Twilight's mind. No! Concentrate on this! Not on your recent adventures! Twilight thought. Except maybe the Flame Ponies one. That could be useful sometime now.
As soon as the ponies ran from Canterlot to Fillidelphia, it was almost noon. A Fillidelphia unicorn was working nearby, apple-bucking a small apple tree with very little apples.
''Excuse me,'' Twilight asked the unicorn. ''You haven't seen a pony named Fireflier around here, have you?''
''Nope,'' said the unicorn. ''But I did see an enormous yellow Alicorn with a big, firey mane fly above me and shoot some fire at an empty lot.'' Twilight smiled and pointed at the unicorn.
''Aaaaand that was Fireflier, wasn't it?'' the unicorn asked.
''Uh, yes,'' Twilight answered the unicorn.
''I'm Alarm Belle. A Bellement of Alarmery,'' said the unicorn. ''Who are you guys?''
''I'm Fernflow,'' Fernflow said. ''And I'm a Spellement of Charmery. So are these two here.'' She pointed to Purity and Flash Wave.
''I'm Twilight Sparkle,'' Twilight said. ''And my five friends here and I are the Elements of Harmony.'' She pointed to Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy.
''Really?'' Alarm Belle asked. ''So what you guys are saying is that all nine of you are Spellements of Charmery and the Elements of Harmony? I should get together the rest of the Bellements of Alarmery.''
''Oh, no need,'' Twilight replied. ''We're just trying to catch Fireflier and changing her back to a Frost Pony, is all.''
''Oh, but you need more power!'' Alarm said. ''And the Bellements of Alarmery are just what you need to beat her.''
Rainbow nudged Twilight.
''We should get as much power as we can to defeat Fireflier,'' Rainbow whispered to her. ''Otherwise, the magic might not change her.''
''Fine,'' Twilight whispered back and turned to Alarm. ''How many ponies are there in the Bellements of Alarmery, Alarm?''
''Three,'' Alarm answered. ''The two other Bellements are right over here.''
She led the nine ponies under a tree to two ponies reading a book. One, an indigo pegasus with yellow, blond hair flipped the pages. Another, a pink earth pony with green and blue hair. Alarm was a white unicorn with pink and blue hair.
''Hey, gals. I got us a new mission,'' Alarm said. ''Guys, this is Starry Cloud.'' The pegasus waved.
''And this is Maybloom,'' Alarm pointed to the earth pony. The earth pony did a cartwheel.
''Starry Cloud and Maybloom, these are the Elements of Harmony, and also, uh...'' Alarm said.
''Spellements of Charmery,'' Fernflow said.
''Right,'' Alarm replied. ''Anyway, whenever you need us, just blow this whistle.'' Alarm levitated a blue and red whistle to Twilight. Alarm's light pink aura changed to Twilight's lavender aura.
''Try it,'' said Alarm. Twilight blew the whistle. It didn't sound like anything.
''It... Doesn't sound like anything,'' Twilight said. Alarm giggled.
''It shouldn't sound like anything to you,'' Alarm said. ''But to us, the Bellements of Alarmery, we can hear it from around the world. Really.''
''Cool,'' said Rainbow. ''But should we speed things up a bit? I even thought you were coming with us.''
''We will come,'' Alarm replied. ''If you blow the whistle. I'll transport my friends and I to you, and we'll try to help. Alright? And you should get going.''
''You know what?'' Fernflow said. ''You're right. See you later.''
''Bye,'' Alarm said.
''Well, that was a little strange,'' Twilight said as they walked around Fillidelphia looking for more signs. ''But at least we have even more backup magic now.''
''Twilight's right,'' Rainbow said. ''it's always better to get even more magic when you're trying to defeat a foe. Especially against Fireflier.''
''And Fireflier's pro,'' Purity said. ''I mean, she's waaaaaay more powerful than Shredder Boom. More powerful than all of those Flame Ponies put together.''
''I've been wondering the whole time why she's more powerful than Shredder,'' Fernflow commented. ''It barely makes sense a subject would be more powerful than their ruler.''
''Like we would be more powerful than Celestia,'' Rarity said. ''Or Fireflight be more powerful than Constellia.''
''No Flame Pony makes sense anymore,'' Twilight sighed. ''Never. Not even the fact that Flame causes pain on the right side of Equestria. And Frost on the left.''
In a castle in Cloudsdale...
''I can't believe it!'' Fireflier chuckled. ''They actually think they can beat me with twelve puny little ponies? Hah!''
''Is it cupcake time yet?'' Fireflier's assistant, Greenfire, asked as he took a tray of cupcakes out of a Flame-themed oven.
''Fine,'' Fireflier said. ''I am in too good a mood to even eat a cupcake!''
The wonderful smell of the cupcakes was a little too good to resist. Fireflier grunted and decided one little bite wouldn't hurt her. She didn't now what she was in for with that tiny little bite.
What was wrong with these cupcakes that Fireflier tryed? What indeed?
Greenfire sneaked out of the castle in Cloudsdale, and was beward of Fireflier spotting him. He flew down to use his extra-special GPS to find the nine ponies on their mission. As soon as he found them, he flew down and told them what he did to Fireflier.
''...And she actually ate it!''
The ponies seemed excited. I guess you'll be when you find out what he did to Fireflier. Guess. Never mind. I'll tell you. He put in a special charm ingredient that makes ponies less powerful. Happy? No? Hey, were you thinking that Fireflier would win? She could if she gathers even MORE power.
''But, as a pre-caution, make sure she doesn't gain any more power,'' Fernflow said.
''Okay,'' Greenfire replied and flew back to Cloudsdale.
''So, guys, we're not sure if the charm even worked,'' Twilight reminded them. ''So we'll try and use as much magic as we can to defeat her, even if it didn't change her.''
''I still wish I could have ate one of those cupcakes,'' Pinkie said. ''I feel hungry, and I haven't ate sugar in days.''
''Pinkie, eating sugar every single day isn't a good thing. Besides, I'll get some cupcakes WHEN WE'RE DONE, okay?'' Twilight replied.
''You know,'' Rainbow added. ''Our next task is to go to Cloudsdale's Castle and find Fireflier to defeat her. The charm better have worked.''
''I'm glad I still have the whistle,'' Twilight said. She levitated the whistle Alarm Belle gave her out of her bag.
''Careful, Twilight,'' Rarity said. ''That whistle will come in handy, Fireflier less powerful or not.''
''Exactly,'' Rainbow said. ''I mean, we wouldn't want Equestria to be burnt down by a bunch of Flame Ponies, would we?''
''And put the whistle back in your bag, Twilight,'' Fernflow said. ''Somepony could come up and snatch it right under your nose when you're not looking.''
''The unicorn's right,'' Applejack said.
''And if we want to defeat Fireflier, we'd better hurry,'' said Purity. ''When it's sundown, it's no use. We'd have to wait until morning, but not at sunrise.''
''You know, Purity's right,'' Flash Wave said. ''It gets later and later the more we talk. But, how are us flightless ponies gonna get up to the city in the sky?''
''Hot air balloons, of course!'' Pinkie said.
''And I'll use my magic spell to let us walk on clouds!'' Twilight said. ''I hope I don't botch this spell now..''
''Twilight, I'll bet anything that you didn't the last time you used this spell,'' Rainbow Dash said. ''Now do it, we don't have all day!''
Twilight shrugged. Her horn lit up brightly and twisted around the earth ponies and the unicorns. The pegasi flew above, watching with huge eyes. The aura glowed in everypony's eyes as Twilight concentrated on getting this right. A big purple magic explosion formed and the glowing faded.
''That's it?'' Purity asked.
''Yes,'' Twilight replied. ''You'll see the effect when we get on the clouds. Let's go!''
The ponies used a hot air balloon from Mr. Airfly, a stallion who owned tons of hot air balloons. In good quality. The ponies flew up to Cloudsdale, which was not so far away. Only about a mile or so. They came to an old-looking castle, and Twilight could picture Rapunzel the Unicorn letting down her long, golden hair from the very top.
''Is this where Fireflier is supposed to be?'' Purity asked.
''I think so,'' Fernflow said. ''At least Greenfire said so. And he's Fireflier's assistant!''
''Now how are we gonna get in without the Flame Pony even seeing us?'' Rainbow asked.
''You know, I haven't thought about that,'' Twilight replied. ''I thought all we gotta do is sneak up behind her and activate our Elements.''
''And Spellements,'' Fernflow reminded them. ''And Bellements. But we could just walk in, I guess. I mean, she won't mind if we just walk in and activate the things because she thinks they won't work on her.''
''Well, it's logical,'' Applejack commented. ''But don't y'all need the Bellements of Alarmery to do this?''
''Good idea,'' Twilight said and levitated a certain red and blue whistle out of her bag. She blew into it. First, nothing happened. But a few seconds leter, a light pink flashing appeared and they were shaped like silhouettes of three ponies. They were Alarm Belle, Starry Cloud, and Maybloom. Starry Cloud and Maybloom wore necalices, and Alarm wore a big crown-thingy like Twilight's.
''You got here already?'' Alarm asked.
''Sure did,'' Purity said.
''Come on in,'' said a voice. A glow of red surrounded the twelve ponies and the doors opened. The ponies were pulled inside.
''Fireflier,'' Fernflow growled.
''Yes, Fernflow,'' Fireflier said and laughed maniacally.
''We know that you think you'll win,'' Twilight said. ''But no. Because, by the power of teamwork, we know we can do anything!''
''And, um, yeah! What she said!'' Alarm said.
''I know you want to try and beat me. Go ahead. But it won't work,'' Fireflier bragged.
''Alright girls, let's do this!'' Twilight said. Alarm, Fernflow, and Twilight's horns all lit up at the same time. The Spellements appeared, and the Elements appeared. They flew in place onto the proper ponies, and the ponies all flew up. Aura glowed everywhere around them.
''Uh oh,'' Fireflier said.
A bright rainbow shot up from the twelve ponies and fell onto the Flame Pony.
After an explosion of sparks, everypony was lying on the floor. Fireflier was no longer a flaming pony, but instead a very, almost white, light pink Alicorn with black and grey hair.
''Ugh. W-What happened?'' she murmured as she got up from the floor.
''It's a looong story, Fireflier,'' Alarm said. ''We'll tell you later.''
''Where are we?'' Fireflier asked.
''In Cloudsdale Castle. Where you live.''
''I see. Will you guys need to get home, too?'' Fireflier offered. ''I could take you home.''
''Nah, it's all right. I'll travel back to Fillidelphia,'' Alarm said and pointed to Starry Cloud and Maybloom. ''And these two here.''
''And we'll travel back to Ponyville,'' Twilight said. ''And we know that someday...''
''An advenure as exciting as this will come to us,'' Fernflow added. After a long time of good-byes, the ponies headed back to thier homes. And for once, Twilight didn't even mind.
Because they will all meet again soon in another adventure.
