It's fall in the city. Spike got invited to a Halloween party with Fluttershy. Problem is she doesn't know what costume to wear! Time to play Blues Clues Spike!
Fall has arrived in Canterlot City. Everyone is celebrating the day of Halloween. Especially our 16 year old Spike. And his day got better when he received an invitation to Steve's Halloween party with Fluttershy!! But there's one problem. She doesn't have a costume! When Steve goes out to get some stuff for the party it's up to Spike to play Blues Clues to figure it out.
It was a lovely fall day in Canterlot City. We see everyone enjoying the fall weather. Especially a familiar 16 year old boy named Spike. He was skateboarding across the streets and seeing all kinds of Halloween decorations all over the city. He continued on the road til he stopped at his house. He got off his skateboard and went inside. He went to his room and relaxed on his bed.
"Ah. What a day it's been. Took Rarity on a date and went perfect. Nothing could go wrong." Spike said.
Ever since he gave Rarity those lilacs those two have been closer like two peas in a pod. Spike's relationship with her has never been stronger than ever. Suddenly he heard his doorbell ring.
"Huh? I wonder who that could be?" Spike said.
He got off his bed and went to the front door. He opened it and saw a letter on his front door step. He picked it up and looked at letter. It was decorated like Halloween.
"A letter. I wonder who it's from." Spike said.
He opened the envelope and inside revealed to be an invitation in orange and black. He opened the invitation and see what it has to say.
-My friend. If you got this invitation they you are invited to a Halloween party im throwing. It will be a costume party too so put on your best scary one you have. Of course it doesn't have to be so scary either. There will games, food, and all sorts of fun activities to do. I look forward to seeing you at the party. Happy Halloween!! -Steve.
Spike finished reading the invitation and was happy that his old friend Steve was gonna see him again.
"Steve!! Good old buddy. I am definitely going to be there. Time to get a costume." Spike said.
He went into his closet and looked through to find a costume for the party. He looked til he found a vampire costume. It was getting close to Halloween so he thought why not.
"Vampire it is then. Let's make sure it's not too scary." Spike said.
Suddenly Spike heard his phone go off. He looked at his phone and saw that Fluttershy was calling him. He smiled and answered the call.
"Hey Fluttershy. How are you doing today?" Spike said.
"Oh im well Spike. Listen I got a favor to ask you." Fluttershy said.
"Fire away amigo." Spike said.
"Well I got an invite to a Halloween party. Since I know you felt left out of many parties I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to this one." Fluttershy said.
"Well what a surprise! I got an invite to a Halloween party too. From an old friend of mine: Steve. So yeah grab your costume and meet me by the stop sign! See you there!" Spike said as he hung up.
He put on his vampire costume but before he headed out he saw the notebook that Steve gave him. He thought maybe he should take it with him just in case.
"I better take this with me. I never know when I might need it." Spike said as he grabbed his notebook and head out the door.
He waited for Fluttershy by the stop sign for 10 minutes. Then he finally saw Fluttershy coming to him but something was off.
"Hey Fluttershy. Glad you see you. But uh where's your costume?" Spike said.
"Oh I couldn't find one. I wanted to find a costume that wasn't too scary. But nothing stood out." Fluttershy said.
"Fluttershy. The invite said your costume doesn't have to be scary. You can wear whatever costume you want." Spike said.
"Oh ok. Well shall we head off to the party?" Fluttershy said.
"Yep. Let's go have a scary good time!" Spike said.
The two went off to the party. They continued walking til they found the yellow house with a red roof. It was decorated with Halloween decorations all over. Spike knew that place and realized that is where the party is.
"Is this where the party is Spike?" Fluttershy said.
"You bet. I know your gonna love Steve. He helped me played a game called Blues Clues." Spike said.
"Blues Clues? What's Blues Clues?" Fluttershy said.
"You'll know when we get in the house. Now let's go." Spike said.
The two made their way to the house. Little did Fluttershy knew that Spike will play Blues Clues to help her figure out a costume for her to wear.
The two made their way to the door and Spike was real excited to see his old friend again. It as been a while since last time in the summer.
"So Spike. Is Steve friendly?" Fluttershy said.
"Oh trust me Fluttershy. He's really friendly. You'll like him." Spike said.
He knocked on the door and waited for an answer. The door opened up and we see Steve dressed as a zombie and saw Spike and Fluttershy.
"Oh hi Spike!! Im so glad your here!! It's been a while since the summer." Steve said as he noticed Fluttershy. " And who might be your friend there?" He said.
"Steve this my friend Fluttershy. She got your invite to the party too." Spike said.
"Hi mister. I hope this party isn't too scary." Fluttershy said.
"Nice to meet you Fluttershy. And don't worry. This party isn't so scary. Come on in." Steve said.
The two were led inside and saw everything was decorated for Halloween. Spike was so excited that he can't wait for the party to start.
"Hey Spike. That's a good costume. And since you and Fluttershy are a little early will you help us get ready for the party?" Steve said.
"Sure thing Steve. We can help you and Blue." Spike said.
"Blue? Who's Blue?" Fluttershy said.
"Oh lemme introduce her to you. Hey Blue!! Guess who's here!" Steve said as Blue came out dressed like a princess.
She went to Spike and licked his face.
"Hey Blue! I sure missed you!" Spike said.
"Aww! What a cute puppy. So that's Blue?" Fluttershy said.
"Yep that's her. She is a clever yet fun puppy." Spike said.
"Oh um Spike? Can I ask you something?" Steve said.
"Sure Steve. What is it?" Spike said.
"I know you have a vampire costume on. But where's Fluttershy's costume? Doesn't she have one?" Steve said.
"Well I asked her the same thing. Apparently she didn't want to wear something super scary. She looked for a not so scary costume but she couldn't." Spike said.
"Oh. Well Spike I have a favor to ask you. I gotta head out and get some stuff for the party. While im gone I need you watch Blue. I'll be back before you know it. And while im at it i'll see about finding Fluttershy a costume she can wear. Can you do that?" Steve said.
"Sure Steve. Me and Blue will have a good time together." Spike said.
"Thanks Spike. When I return that's when we can start the party. Ta ta Spike!" Steve said as he left the house to go do some shopping.
"See ya Steve!" Spike said as he saw Steve walk til he's gone.
"Well Fluttershy. Looks like it's me, you and our friend Blue." Spike said.
"Yeah it is. Well I'll see about helping out for the party. Lemme know if you need anything." Fluttershy said.
"Okay Fluttershy." Spike said as Fluttershy left.
Spike was happy that he brought Fluttershy to celebrate Halloween. But it didn't feel the same without a costume for her to wear. He squat down and looked at Blue.
"Man. You know what Blue? I wish there was a costume for Fluttershy. That way she wouldn't feel left out of the party." Spike said.
Blue barked saying she has an answer for that.
"Wait Blue. You know what costume she can wear?" Spike said.
Blue nodded saying yes.
"Alright. Well what is it?" Spike said.
Then Blue ran up and put a paw print on the screen. When Spike saw that he knew exactly what Blue was saying. Spike went up to the paw print.
"Great idea Blue! We'll play Blues Clues to figure out what costume Fluttershy can wear! I love Blues Clues!" Spike said as he started to sing.
Spike was singing and Blue was dancing. Then Blue jumped in front of the reader and came down with Spike coming back up and saying "That we wanna do." And like that the song ended.
"Okay. It's time to look for Blues Clues so we figure out what costume Fluttershy can wear. Did you see which way Blue went?" Spike said as Blue came from the right.
"To your right!" The reader said.
"My right. Thanks." Spike said as he went to the right following the way Blue went. And thus we begin a spooky game of Blues Clues!!
Spike kept on walking to the right til he reached the backyard door. He opened it up all saw that even the backyard was decorated for Halloween. Spike was now really excited for the party. He stepped outside and walked all around.
"Wow. Steve really gave it his all decorating. Did a good job too." Spike said as he continued his way. While walking he passed a hole with a paw print on it. Meaning that it's a clue!!
"A clue! A clue!!" The reader said.
"Yeah Steve and Blue did great out here! Wish Pinkie could see this." Spike said.
"No. A clue." The reader said.
"Oh. Oh you see a clue! Where is it?" Spike said.
"It's right there." The reader said.
Spike turned and saw the hole with a paw print on it.
"Ok first a line across like this, then an oval for the hole, some little lines for the grass, color in the hole and we have a hole in the ground." Spike said.
"So we're trying to figure out what costume Fluttershy can wear. And our first clue is a hole in the ground." Spike said as the image flew above his head.
"So what costume can Fluttershy wear with a hole in the ground?" Spike said. He was still thinking but doesn't know yet.
"Yeah maybe." Spike said as the image flew back in. "But there's 2 more clues left to find then we'll know for sure." He said.
"What is that scary sound?" A voice said drawing Spike's attention.
"That sounds like Shovel and Pail. Let's see what's going on." Spike said making his way to them.
We see Shovel and Pail making scary noises. Both were wearing an animal costume. Pail was a pig and Shovel was a cow. They see Spike coming to them and got scared because of the vampire costume he was wearing.
"AHH!! A vampire!!" Pail said scared.
"Whoa whoa! Guys it's me Spike! Im not a real vampire." Spike said as the two calmed down.
"Oh it's you Spike. Thank goodness. That's a cool costume. But you just look very scary." Shovel said.
"I know im not trying to be so scary. Anyways I heard you were making scary noises. What's that all about?" Spike asked.
"Well Spike we were playing a guessing game. Name that Halloween sound. Do you wanna play with us?" Pail said.
"You wanna play to? You do? Great! We would love to play this game. So let's start." Spike said.
"Okay Spike. Listen to the sound so you can guess what Halloween creature makes it." Shovel said as he started groaning and moaning, walk so slow.
"Ok this creature moans and groans. What do you think it is?" Spike said trying to guess.
"A zombie!" The reader said.
"Yeah a zombie! Cause zombies moan and groan, and they go super slow. Is that right Shovel?" Spike said.
"Yep that's right!! Now Pail's got another one. Try and guess this." Shovel said as Pail started to howl and growl like a vicious beast.
"Ooh ok. So this one howls and growls. What creature makes that sound?" Spike said as he thought about it.
"A werewolf!!" The reader said.
"Yeah that's it! Cause werewolves howl at the moon, and they growl at the enemies. So Pail you a werewolf?" Spike said.
"Correct again! Now Shovel's got one more creature for you to guess. Now listen carefully." Pail said as Shovel started hissing and saying "Blah, blah, blah." This was a tough one to guess.
"Ok so this one hisses a lot. And says " Blah, blah, blah." What creature do you think it is?" Spike said.
"A vampire!!" The reader said.
"Yeah! Cause vampires hiss a lot, and some like to say " Blah, blah, blah." Good guessing." Spike said.
"Yep that's right! Man your good at this game. Well we gotta finish getting ready for the party. See ya later Spike." Shovel said as he and Pail left.
"Bye!" Spike said. "We should check out Fluttershy. See how she's doing." Spike said as he went to check on her in the kitchen.
"Hey Fluttershy! You doing okay?" Spike said.
"Oh hey Spike. Im just making a cake for the party. And im okay thanks for asking." Fluttershy said.
"Well that's good. Alright im going leave you to it. Check on you later." Spike said as he left.
"See you later Spike." Fluttershy said.
Spike was back in the living room and saw Blue.
"Hey Blue. I still need 2 more clues to find. We really need a costume for Fluttershy. Which way do we go now?" Spike said.
Blue pointed to the left and went in that direction.
"Okay so left it is. Come on." Spike said as he went to the left. The first clue was found! Now he needs the other two. What will they be? Only time will tell.
Spike kept on walking through the house in search of clues. He looked all around and even outside again. He looked around the part where it looked liked a pumpkin patch. As he was doing this he passed a stack of hay with a paw print on it. Meaning he found the second clue!
"Man. It's like a pumpkin patch here! It's cool!" Spike said.
"A clue! A clue!" The reader said.
"Wait you see a clue?" Spike said.
"Yes! A clue on the hay!" The reader said.
"Blue's on the hay? But she was inside." Spike said.
"No. A CLUE on the hay." The reader said.
Spike turned around and saw the paw print on the hay.
"Let's start off with a zig zaggy rectangle like this, now two straight lines, another zig zaggy line, the straps, and some little lines to represent the hay. And there we have hay." Spike said.
"So were trying to figure out what costume Fluttershy can wear. What was the first clue?" Spike said as the music begin to play.
"A hole in the ground!" The reader said.
"Oh a hole in the ground right." Spike said as the image flew above him."Now our second clue is some hay." He said.
"So what costume could Fluttershy wear with a hole in the ground and some hay?" Spike said still thinking.
"Ooh. Good thinking." Spike said as he closed the notebook. "But let's find the last clue and see." He said.
"Hey Spike! Can you help me?" A female voice said drawing his attention.
"That sounds like Fluttershy. We better help her out." Spike said heading to the kitchen.
He got inside the house and went straight to the kitchen. He saw Fluttershy with Mr.Salt and Mrs.Pepper trying to help her relax from being scared.
"Hey Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper. Is Fluttershy okay?" Spike said seeing Fluttershy hiding behind a wall.
"Well Spike we tried to show her some pictures for Halloween and see what she likes best. But she got too scared and won't calm down. Can you help us?" Mrs. Pepper said.
"Will you help me calm Fluttershy down? You will? Great. Alright guys. What do we need to do?" Spike said.
"We gotta take a close look at all the pictures we took. Then we tell Fluttershy what it is and hopefully she'll be less scared." Mr. Salt said.
"Alright. Easy enough. Let's have a look." Spike said as Mrs. Pepper handed him the first picture.
"Woah. Okay that's spooky. Ok so this looks like a spirit being of the night. Do you know what it is?" Spike said showing us a friendly ghost.
"A ghost!!" The reader said.
"Yeah that's a ghost! Cause ghosts are spirits of the night. Good work. Fluttershy it's ok. This is a friendly ghost." Spike said.
"Oh ok Spike." Fluttershy said. But she's still scared.
"She's still scared. Maybe another one would help her not be scared." Mr.Salt said handing Spike another picture.
"Ok. Ooh wow. That is something. Ok this looks like a pumpkin with a scary carved face on it. What do you think it is?" Spike said showing us a jack-o-lantern.
"A jack-o-lantern!" The reader said.
"Yeah! A jack-o-lantern! Cause those are pumpkins carved with scary faces on them! Hey Fluttershy. There's nothing scary about jack-o-lanterns." Spike said.
"Really Spike? Well I guess it's not that scary." Fluttershy said coming out and hiding again.
"Ooh!! So close! But she's still a little scared. One more time should do the trick." Mrs.Pepper said handling Spike the last picture.
"Alright. Ooh this is kinda tricky. Okay so this looks like a mammal that flies in the night. Do you know what it is?" Spike said showing us a bat.
"A bat!!" The reader said.
"Yeah! A bat. Cause bats fly anytime in the night. Fluttershy it's only a bat. They ain't gonna hurt you with me around." Spike said.
"Oh well ok Spike." Fluttershy said as she finally calmed down and came out of her hiding spot.
"See Fluttershy. Their just pictures. There's nothing scary about them. Everything's okay." Spike said.
"Oh thank goodness. I was so scared. Thanks for checking Spike." Fluttershy said.
"Your welcome. Now we gotta find our last clue. Come on." Spike said heading off. Suddenly he heard someone singing 'Mailtime' and knew what time it is.
"The mail's here!!" Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper said.
"Ok thanks for reminding me! Let's get the mail!" Spike said.
In the living room Spike started singing with Blue dancing and when the song ended he wailed 'Mail'. Then Mailbox came through the window dressed as a snake and Spike sat in the Thinking Chair.
"Thanks Spike. Same to your vampire costume. And I got something for you Spike. Your letter." Mailbox said as he opened his lid and Spike took out a yellow letter.
"Thanks Mailbox." Spike said as Mailbox left. "We just got a letter!" Spike said as he began singing.
He got in a skidooing position and sang "Blue skidooed, we can too!" After he sang that he jumped right in the castle. He got in and saw his new surroundings.
"Woah. Were in an actual castle. It's all spooky looking but it's cool! Come on! Let's see if we can find Blue." Spike said as he walked looking for Blue.
Suddenly he found her next to a ghost. He was a friendly ghost and wasn't trying to scare anyone.
"Hey there! Welcome to my castle." The ghost said.
"Thanks. I will admit that it's a spooky looking castle. But it's not so bad." Spike said.
"Thanks. I don't get a lot of visitors. My name's Boo by the way." The ghost said.
"Nice to meet you Boo." Spike said but Boo screamed a little.
"Sorry. You scared me. Anyways I need help. Im making a cake for a party later but im having trouble with the patterns on it. Think you can help?" Boo said.
"You will help Boo with the cake patterns right? You will? Great. Alright Boo. What do we need to do?" Spike said.
"We gotta complete the patterns on each of the three layers. I already got it started on each layer. All you need to do is figure out what comes next." Boo said.
"I think we can handle that." Spike said. He looked on the bottom layer and saw it was frosted black and orange.
"Ok so the pattern on the bottom layer goes black, orange, black, orange, black...uh oh. Were missing something. What comes next in the pattern?" Spike said.
"Orange!!" The reader said.
"Orange! Right because that comes next in the pattern! Good job!" Spike said as Boo finished frosting the first pattern. Then Spike looked at the middle layer as it was decorated with candy skulls and bats.
"Alright. The pattern on the middle layer goes skull, bat, skull, bat, skull...uh oh. Something's missing from the pattern. Do you know what comes next?" Spike said.
"A bat!!" The reader said.
"Yeah! A candy bat! It's next in the pattern! Good work!" Spike said as Boo finished putting the candy on the middle layer completing the pattern. Then he looked at the top layer which was frosted green and purple with candy eyes and pumpkins.
"Ooh this one might be tricky. Ok so the pattern on the top layer goes green and candy eye, purple and candy pumpkin, green and candy eye, purple and candy pumpkin, green and candy eye...uh oh. There's another missing spot in the pattern. Do you know what comes next?" Spike said.
"Purple and a candy pumpkin!!" The reader said.
"Yes that's it!! Because that is next in the pattern!! You are so good at this!!" Spike said as Boo finished frosting the final layer completing the cake.
"The cake is finished!! Thanks for your help!" Boo said.
"Your welcome! Oh and before I leave I gotta ask you something. Is there a costume for Fluttershy to wear here?" Spike said.
"Well there is a werewolf costume. But I don't think your friend may like being a scary creature." Boo said.
"Ok well I thought I would check. Well we better find our third clue. Bye Boo!" Spike said taking his leave.
"Bye Spike! Happy Halloween!!" Boo said.
Spike saw the exit and quickly skidooed out of here. He jumped straight back into the house. Suddenly a paw print was bouncing all over the place! Spike didn't know but he found the last clue!
"A clue!!" The reader said.
"Yeah that castle was spooky! But it was nice seeing a friendly ghost like Boo." Spike said.
"No it's A clue!" The reader said.
"Oh. Oh you see a clue? Where is it?" Spike said.
"There! Behind you!" The reader said.
Spike looked behind him and saw the bouncing clue.
"To draw bouncing i'll start by drawing a line that bounces up and down like this. Then I add an arrow. And we have bouncing." Spike said closing his notebook.
"Hey. We have all three clues to find out what costume Fluttershy can wear! Were ready to sit in the..." Spike said.
"Thinking Chair!" The reader said.
"Thinking Chair! To figure it out! Let's go!" Spike said as he ran to the Thinking Chair to find out the answer.
"So what costume can Fluttershy wear with a hole in the ground, some hay, and bouncing?" Spike said thinking. He kept thinking til he had a theory.
"Well. Fluttershy likes animals so maybe it's a costume that represents an animal. Yeah. Maybe this animal likes to eat some hay. And maybe it's home is in a hole in the ground. And maybe it bounces. So what animal lives in a hole in the ground, eats hay and likes to bounce around?” Spike said as the clues connected like a puzzle. Then they formed the answer he needed.
"A bunny rabbit!!" The reader said.
"Yeah a bunny rabbit!! Cause bunny rabbits live in holes on the ground, they like to eat hay and grass. And they bounce and around! Blue!" Spike said as Blue came out.
"Does Fluttershy want a bunny rabbit costume?" Spike said.
Blue nodded yes and when heard that only one thing came to his mind.
"We just figured out Blues Clues!!" Spike said as he started singing again. When he got done Fluttershy came in.
"What did you figure out Spike?" Fluttershy asked.
"I figured out what costume you can wear! You can be a bunny rabbit!!" Spike said.
"Well I do love bunnies. Okay I'll wear that costume." Fluttershy said.
Then the door knocked and Spike went to it. He opened it up and saw Steve with the stuff and the costume that he played Blues Clues for.
"Hey Steve! Glad your back!" Spike said.
"Me too Spike. And I got Fluttershy a costume. It's a bunny rabbit costume." Steve said showing Spike.
"What I coincidence!! I played Blues Clues and knew it was a bunny rabbit costume!" Spike said.
"Good job Spike! Hey Fluttershy! Go put this costume on and we can finally begin the party!!" Steve said.
"Ok i'll be right back." Fluttershy said as she went to change. A few minutes later she came out dressed as a bunny. It couldn't have been more adorable.
"Wow. You look so cute in that." Spike said.
"Thanks Spike. I see why you played Blues Clues now. You needed all 3 clues for the answer." Fluttershy said.
"Yep that's right. Now let's get this party started!!" Spike said.
The party was a spooktacular time. Everyone was in there costumes and playing games or dine some activities. It lasted for 2 hours til everyone headed home. Spike and Fluttershy were the last ones here.
"Well Steve. Thank you for inviting us to the party." Spike said.
"Oh your welcome Spike. Hope you and Fluttershy had fun tonight." Steve said.
"Oh we did. And thank you for the bunny rabbit costume. It looks lovely." Fluttershy said.
"Anytime. Well I hope you see you again soon Spike." Steve said.
"Me too Steve. Happy Halloween!" Spike said as he and Fluttershy left the house and headed straight home. Steve waved goodbye and went to the readers.
"Hey thank you so much for helping Spike. He wouldn't been able to figure out a costume for Fluttershy without you. I think you are amazing." Steve said as he began to sing.
"Bye-bye! Happy Halloween! I'll see you next time! Bye!" Steve said. The door closed and we zoomed out but Blue came out and waved goodbye. And that ends our Halloween story of Blues Clues. Night folks!
