Ori And The Dragon In The Blind Forest

Spike wakes up in a dark decayed forest, he then meets a spirit named Ori, and he and her team up to go on a emotional journey to save the forest from destruction.

Feeling discontent with his life, Spike wishes upon a star to go somewhere where he can find what his purpose is , Meanwhile in a land far far a way from Equestria in a land called Nibel, The spirit tree is desperate to find someone who can help save the forest. When he reaches out across the world he sees spike wishing to go somewhere where he can find meaning, and it sees potential in him, he uses what little power he has to summon Spike to Nibel. Spike wakes up in a dark forest confused on where he was, after exploring a bit he encounters a spirit by the name of Ori, after seeing a light from a large tree restore her and save his life from injury, Spike himself feels something awaken inside him as well. From there they team up to try to save the forest from destruction while Spike goes on an emotional journey that will change his life.

Prolouge

" The forest is dying" a strange ominous voice echoes across the land, we cut to a forest, withered and decaying, barely any life being seen except strange creatures of darkness.

"My child, Ori is missing" we then see a view of a large beautiful tree with lights flickering out of it.

"I need someone to help find her, to protect and save this forest." the tree then lights up using what little power it has to find help.

" I must find and bring someone who is willing to save this Blind Forest." The voice concludes as the light engulfs the screen.

We cut to a beautiful night sky in Equestria, we then move into a room inside Twilight's castle, we see a young purple dragon looking out at the night sky before he sighs in sadness.
the door then opens to reveal a purple Alicorn that is known as Twilight.

"Spike what are you doing up this late?" Twilight askes concerned for her fiend.
"Just thinking about things" Spike said sadly
"What kind of things." Twilight asked curiously
"what my purpose is, what my destiny is meant to be." Spike said honestly
"What do you mean by that?"

"I... I just feel like there's something more for me, that one day I'm meant to do something great, look at you, you saved Equestria and became a princess, you and the mane 6 always go out on adventures while i just stay home and do chores, I'm not saying i hate doing the stuff around the castle but, I just feel like I'm meant for something important" Spike said still looking out the window into the night sky., i know i saved everyone from sombra and was deemed a hero.. but i feel like its not the end, like there's something more i can do" Spike said still looking out the window

Twilight then came up to him and placed her hoof on his shoulder.
"There will always be a moment for us to prove ourselves Spike, even when we least expect it" Twilight explained with a smile.
"Really?" Spike asked confused"
"Yes, I never expected to become a princess, but i did, and I'm doing what I can to play my role as the Princess of Friendship, we all don't know when our destines are meant to happen, but when we do we need to be prepared to do so" Twilight said looking down and rubbing his head

"And part of that way of preparing is getting some sleep Spike" Twilight said with a smile.
" Okay, your right Twilight, I'll go to bed now" he said before giving her a hug " I love you twilight" he said with a smile.
"I love you too spike" She said returning the hug.
They eventually separated and Twilight went to the door before looking back at Spike.
"Good night Spike, Sleep well" she said with a smile
"Good night twilight" Spike said returning a smile as well

Twilight then closes door as Spike is left alone, he sighs in sadness once again as he looks out the window one more time, he then sees a shooting star and he then makes a wish
" I wish to go somewhere where i can find my destiny, to know what my purpose is, somewhere where i belong" Spike said looking at he night sky with a tear in his eye, he eventually went to his bed and went to sleep.

"I came upon a strange creature that night" the voice is heard once again.

"Seeing the potential in what he could do to save my home i used what power i could to bring him to Nibel."

Spikes body begins glowing in a large bright light before it engulfs him. and the room, eventually spreading its way out of it.

Twilight is seen walking down the hallway to her room concerned for his friend.
"What if his destiny comes sooner then we think? What will i be able to do to help him?" Twilight thought with curiosity before it is interrupted when a large bright light engulfs the halls of the castle, twilight screams as she is blinded by the light.

The light soon is seen coming out of the castle shining brightly in the night sky and across ponyville . The light wakes up multiple residents and they look confuses before they look at the castle in awe at what they saw.

Celestia and Luna are on the balcony of they're castle enjoying the night sky.
"Sister do you think anything bad will happen to Equestria again?" Luna asked concerned.
"There will always be evil coming back, but we will be prepared and stop what it tries to do" Celestia said with confidence.
"Your right i just hope we don't have to worry about things for a while" Luna said with a smile.

As if fate was laughing at them they take notice of a large bright light that comes from Twilight's castle as it draws closer to them.
"Sister! what is that?!" Luna asked shocked
"I don't know, but its coming from Twilights castle!!" She said shocked as well, the light eventually then reaches them and they scream as they are blinded by the light as well.

The light spread so far it could be seen from multiple parts of Equestria.

The dragon lands was quiet and uneventful, multiple dragons were up and flying around in late night patrols, Garble and his crew were up partying as well, Dragon lord Torch is seen on his throne watching over the lands, he sighs in boredom wishing something interesting would happen.
As if his wish was granted a large bright light was seen from Equestria getting closer catching the attention of hundreds of dragons.
"What is that?!" Torch screamed in surprise before the light reaches him and the dragons and they scream as they were blinded by the light as well.

The griffon kingdom was quiet as well, multiple griffons were up late either shopping or making their way home, Gilda is seen on the roof of her home, she sighs in sadness as she's lonely. A large light is scene coming from Equestria and the griffons look at it in shock in awe. The light soon blinds them as well and Gilda screams as she is blinded by it.

Soon the light dies down and the princesses open they're eyes confused in what they saw.
"Celestia what was that?!" Luna asked scared
"I don't know, it came from Twilight's castle, we should head over there to see if she's okay!!" Celestia said with worry,
they both then took off to Twilight's castle to see what happened.

When torch opens his eyes he sees the light has died down and he looks around and sees multiple dragons confused and shocked in what they saw.
"This could be a problem." Torch said with worry as he decided to have the dragons patrol Equestria to see what happened.

Gilda opened her eyes with a bit of a headache after the light died down," What was that?!" Gilda asked in shock, she looks around the kingdom and sees that multiple griffons were woken up, and the ones that saw the light are shocked and scared on what it was.

We cut to twilight as she opens her eyes from the light that blinded her and she groans in pain.
"Oh, what was that?" Twilight asked confused, she then remembered something important, or more accurately someone.
"Spike!!" Twilight said with worry before running to Spike's room. she then bursts the door open to see if he's okay
" Spike! Are you okay?!" Twilight asks with worry as she looks around the room.

But Spike is nowhere to be seen.

"Spike?!" Twilight calls out with worry before looking around the whole room, only to find nothing
"Spike?!?!" twilight calls out again even more worried, she then searches around the whole castle trying to find him, she checks every room but she doesn't find him.

"SPIKE!!!!!" Twilight calls out in sadness as she doesn't find him anywhere, her voice echoing through the entire village.

Hey guys hope you like the idea for this new story. Both of the Ori games are two of my favorite games of all time, they tell such a sad story, with scenes that's even sadder then the saddest scenes in the best Pixar movies. To those who have played these games i hope you like what i make and to those who haven't, please play these games! These are some of the best you could find!
this takes place after Spike saves the crystal empire from sombra but he still doesn't feel like he has done anything great, so i aim for this journey to have spike finally discover what he's meant to do and become.
I hope you all look forward to the story i will tell and i hope you stay tuned for what's next! See you then!

1: Awakening And Meeting Her

Spikes eyes began to open, he groaned as he slowly got up.
"That was a weird night of sleep" Spike said as his eyes were still a little blurry, Spike soon regained his focus and his eyes widened as he realized.
"This isn't the castle..." Spike said in shock as he began to observe his surroundings, he was in a dark decayed forest, life seemed to wither away in front of him, he took a few pieces of grass.
"They look old and almost dead..." Spike thought as he observed it, the grass soon blew crumbled away as if it was nothing.

"What is this place?" Spike asked out loud.
"Rainbow dash?! if this is a prank its not funny!" Spike said with anger, but he didn't hear anyone.
"Twilight? Celestia? Luna?" Spike called out in worry hoping to hear somepony ,he waited for something, anything, but he got no response, nothing.
" This doesn't look like the Everfree forest at all..." Spike said as he got a strange feeling.
"No use just standing around, might as well try to find some help" Spike decided as he began to walk around.

" The creature called Spike had awakened and he feels something is different" The voice echoes again

Spike had never seen anything like this, the forest looked almost dead, he couldn't hear any birds, couldn't feel the wind, he can't even drink the water as it looked poisonous when he came across some.

" I don't think I'm even in Equestria, there are no forests that look like this there..." Spike said with worry as he wondered where he was, soon spike heard his stomach growl.
"Hope there is at least something i could eat..." Spike said as he tried to find something to eat.

"Spike looked around some more but he eventually found a fruit tree, but the fruits were high on the top and there looked like there was very few.
"Nothing can ever be easy" Spike complained as he tried to make his way up, he used his claws to get a good grip to climb the tree, spike was able to make his way to the top and he carefully balanced on a branch.
"Need to be careful" Spike thought as he slowly made his way towards the fruits, spike soon reached them and was able to carefully drop them down near the base.
"okay now to try to get down" Spike thought as he tried to get off the branch, but as soon as he took a step he heard a loud crack.
"Oh no..." Spike thought before he fell down and screamed as he hit the ground, spike groaned in pain as he tried to get up.
"Something is definitely wrong here, at least i got a few fruits" Spike said as he slowly made his way over to eat.

Spike had just a few as it was enough to satisfy him for now, he then decided to hold on to the fruits for later.
"Alright now that that's done i have to find some help" Spike said as he made his way further into the forest.

"Seeking help the young creature dove deeper trying to find help" The voice speaks again

This forest wasn't like anything he ever saw before, he searched for what felt like hours before he asked out loud,
"Has this place been abandoned because of something?" Spike asked as he was feeling sad, trying to get some help he called out one more time.
"Hello?! Anyone there?!" Spike shouted as he hoped to hear someone respond, eventually Spike heard something... but not in the way he hopes as he heard a loud roar.
Just then two large horned creatures bursts through a wall and roared in rage.

"WHAT ARE THOSE?!" Spike asked terrified as what he saw.
one of the creatures then roared and charged at him, spike managed to dodge out of the way and the creature hit another wall in which rocks came down crushing it.
"Holy cow..." Spike said as he remembered about the other one, he turned around and saw it charging at him as well, spike tried to dodge, he was able get out of the way but not without getting a large cut across his shoulder.
Spike screamed in pain as he tried to cover the wound, he saw the creature crash into the wall and more rocks came down killing it.
"What is going on here?" Spike asked scared as he looked at his shoulder and saw it bleeding a little,
"Need to find help before it gets severe!" Spike said as he quickly makes his way trying to find someone, anyone.

Spike had rushed through trying to find help, but he couldn't find anything, Spike kept losing more and more blood as he made his way through, he eventually was starting to feel week as he started to crawl weakly.
"No... i can't... not like this" Spike thought as he tried to continue, he continued for a little longer until he laid his eyes on something.

" It was at that moment that Spike and my child Ori had finally met each other" The voice is heard once again

" What is that?" Spike asked weakly as he observed what he saw, it was a small white creature, it had long ears and a long tail, it was crawling as it looked weak in strength.
Spike made his way over to the creature in curiosity hoping it would help, the creature soon noticed him and backed away scared and sad, spike raised his hands trying to calm it down.
"It's okay! I'm not going to hurt you..." spike said weakly as he slowly made his way to the creature, it kept trying to back away as it was still scared, Spike then got an idea as he pulled out one of the fruits he had.
"Hungry?" Spike asked weakly as he held it out to the creature, the creature then looked at him curiously as it crawled its way to him, it then took the fruit and took a bite and it smiled in happiness.

"glad that the creature looks to be happy, spike finally accepts his fate" The voice says sadly

"Glad... i could help..." Spike said weakly as he finally collapsed on the ground, the creature looked shocked as it tried to help him, it then noticed the blood coming from Spikes shoulder, it tried to patch it up but couldn't find anything, it then started to collapse itself and landed on him, it then looked at him sadly a few tears in its eyes, spike merely smiled as he rubbed its head.
"At least... I won't die alone..." Spike he said weakly as he started to feel his strength leave him.
"Twilight... I'm so sorry...." Spike said sadly
The creature rubbed its head on him sadly as Spike smiled weakly with a few tears of his own,
"It's.... gonna be... okay...."spike said as he took his last breath finally succumbing to his injuries
they soon felt they're breathes leave them as they both closed they're eyes for the final time.

" With that the two creatures destiny's intertwined, as they drew they're final breathes" The voice is heard once again.

Spike and Ori's bodies are seen on together as a white flower appears by they're side.

"Not wanting them to lose they're lives i used the last of my light, sacrificing my life for theirs" The voice says.

White flowers soon appeared around them light seemingly absorbing into them, more flowers soon appeared in the background.
The flowers soon become a huge field revealing a ginormous tree with light shining around the whole area, the light absorbs into them giving them life once again.

"With them by each others sides, there's nothing they won't be able to do together, as they're destiny's become one." the voice concluded as the last of the light absorbs into them and the screen fades to white.

Hey guys hoped you liked this newest chapter, sorry for those who didn't like the idea of spike almost dying as well but i wanted to make the story feel more of a dramatic weight to it, this game is an emotional powerhouse and i want spike to feel like he's apart of it.

2: Through The Sunken Glades And Meeting Sein

Spike groaned as he felt something was off, he opened his eyes and found himself... floating... and alive? Spike looked around and he saw the creature he met just a bit ago floating as well, he also sees some light flowing into them as if it was healing them, eventually the light died down and then landed softly on the ground, Spike struggled to stand on his feet as he felt different.

" What just happened?" Spike asked confused as he observed himself for a minute, he looked at his shoulder and his eyed widened, the wound that had nearly killed him... healed? Spike looked at it in shock before he heard a female voice.

"Are you alright?" The voice spoke, and spike looked around in shock trying to find the voice.
"Who said that?" Spike asked confused.
"Behind you silly" The voice had told him and Spike turned around and his eyes widened in shock as he found the source, he looked at it shocked for a moment before asking.

"You can talk?!" Spike asked shocked as he didn't understand it before.
" You can talk as well?" The creature asked confused.
" Yeah... how come we can understand each other?" Spike asked confused.
"I don't know i don't think you could understand me before, so how did that happen?" The creature asked confused.
" I don't know either... it might've been that light that saved us" Spike suggested as he looked at the ginormous tree in awe
"It might've been." The creature said agreeing looking at the tree as well.

They stood like that looking at each other awkwardly before spike decided to introduce himself,
"Sorry i haven't told you my name yet, I'm Spike nice to meet you, what's your name?" Spike asked holding out his claw.
"I'm Ori, nice to meet you too spike" The creature he now knows as Ori said with a smile holding out her paw and grabbing his. They soon separated and Ori observed him for a minute in curiosity before deciding to ask,

"What kind of creature are you?" Ori asked in confusion.
" I'm what's called a Dragon." Spike answered
"Dwagon?" Ori asked confused.
"No, Dragon with an r" Spike corrected.
the creature then understood what she was told and decided to ask him one more thing,
"Why were you out here? Bleeding to death?" She asked concerned
"I woke up here after falling asleep in my home, i tried to search for help but i ran into a couple monsters, i was able to knock them down but i got a major cut as a result, I tried to move forward but i lost to much blood, i thought i would really die, but then i met you." Spike explained
"I'm so sorry to hear that, you being lost from your home...alone" She said the last part sadly which Spike caught up on.
"You here alone too? with no one to help you?" Spike asked sadly, she only nodded in sadness.
"yes my guardian...passed away when i tried finding food, i was to late to save her" Ori said with tears in her eyes.
Spike looked at her in sadness before placing a claw on her shoulder to comfort her.

"I'm so sorry i wish i could've helped" Spike said with a few tears as well.
"it's okay, there's nothing that can be done now..." She said as she started to cry, Spike then came over and hugged her.
"It's gonna be okay..." Spike said sadly as he was crying as well, Ori hugging him in return.
They soon stopped crying and they decided to speak once again.
" So you going anywhere?" Spike asked her.
" I'm gonna try to find some help... Would you mind coming with me?" The creature asked hoping he would answer yes.
" Of course! I've got nowhere to go right now... I'd be glad to help you." Spike said with a smile, Ori then smiled at him and gave him a hug catching spike off guard
"Thank you Spike" Ori said with a few tears.
"no problem Ori." Spike said with a smile and returning it.
they soon separated and decided to get going.
" Alright lets go!" Ori said with energy as she ran ahead.
"Right behind you!" Spike said with a smile running after her.

"And so the two friends went out to find answers" The voice echoes over.

They continued to move deeper into the woods, Spike definitely noticed something was different about him, he felt more athletic, he was jumping higher then he normally could as well as running faster.
"Did the light do more then save me? What else can i do now? spike thought in question before he and Ori stopped by a large ledge, they looked at each other and nodded and they jumped down holding their hands.
They landed on the ground without any feelings of pain, they then decided to look around, Spike then noticed there was a damaged wall, but he wasn't strong enough to break it down.
"Dead end.. we need to try to find something else" Spike said to Ori as she nodded her head in agreement.

But before they could move forward, the wall behind them suddenly burst down, Spikes eyes widened as he saw a familiar creature.
" Oh no! Not another one!" Spike thought in panic as he recognized the creature, the creature then charged at them in rage, Ori scared on what to do couldn't move , Spike then grabbed her and jumped out of the way, the creature crashed into the wall and rocks came down killing it, just like what happened before.
"I... Is it?" Ori asked with a few tears.
" There was no other way." Spike said sadly agreeing, they stood like that for a moment before getting up and keep going.

"As they dove deeper, They found what was lost" The voice is heard once again
Soon they came upon a strange light which confused both of them.
"What is that?" Ori asked confused.
"I don't know lets be careful" Spike said as they moved closer. Ori decides to get a closer look and holds it in her hands.
The light they starts to float as more light grows around it, the light then forms into a strange orb of light.

" My strength is returning, I am Sein the light and eyes of the spirit tree, i was lost in this glen when she loosened her grip, i can help you two on your journey if you allow me to come. " it tells them, Spike and Ori look at each other in shock before spike decided to ask,
" Spirit tree?" He asked confused.
Yes the light of the forest, it's what kept this forest alive before the light was taken away from it." It explains
"taken away by what?" Spike asked concerned
"That answer will come when we meet the spirit tree itself." Sein explains to them.
Spike and Ori then agree to let Sein come with them,
" I'm Spike this is Ori" We'll be glad to let you help" Spike introduces
"Thank you Spike and Ori" It says gratefully.
But before they could move Sein says something important.

" Be still, can you hear that?" they must have followed you two here!" The voice says in warning.
"Who?!" spike askes worried.
Getting his answer some frog like monsters soon ambushed them, they look at each other before deciding to fight them off, Spike threw some fire balls at a few monsters burning them, While ori was being defended by Sein who threw some sparks of light at the monsters defeating them.
Ori then looks at spike in shock and asks
"You can breathe fire?!" She asks in shock.
" yeah its something my kind is capable of doing" Spike answered.
"you are a strange creature indeed Spike, you'll be a great help." Sein compliments.
"Thank you Sein, lets get going to this Spirit tree you told us about, maybe we'll finally get some answers" Spike suggests before Ori and Sein agree and they make their way to the Spirit Tree.

Sorry for those who don't like the idea of Ori being able to talk but i wanted to give her more of a character and have her and Spike be able to bond better. I plan on having Spike get abilities like Ori's through the story because Spike was given the abilities to harness they're power.

3" Up The Spirit Caverns And A New Ability

Spike, Sein and Ori had made their way back the way they came, Spike helped fend off some more monsters that came they're way every now and then, they soon stumbled upon something interesting, it looked like a well of light.

"What is that?" Spike asked
"Those are Spirit wells, Spirits used these to recover and traverse all of Nibel quickly" Sein explained.
" So we find more of these we can travel here and go to other places quicker?" Ori asked trying to understand what was told.
"Correct ori, but we'll have to find more before we can properly fast travel." Sein answered.
Spike and ori both decided to take a quick brake, they both stepped into the well and they started to float for a few seconds while light flew into them, recovering them of any wounds instantly.
"This is unlike any healing magic in Equestria..." Spike said in awe.
"Equestria?" Sein and Ori asked at once.
" It was where i was raised" Spike explained.
"Hope your family is alright, they must be worried sick about you!" Ori said with worry.
" yeah they must be, but we can't stand around and wait for them to come we need to keep going." Spike said with determination.
"Right!"" Ori said and they both continued to move forward

Spike and Ori had continued to move upward, they used these strange blue pod like things that helped them jump to higher places, they soon came upon a door that looked like it needed two items to move forward.

"We need to find keystones in order to move forward" Sein explained.
"Why were these made" Spike argued
"these were made for protection from those who may be trying to do harm to the forest" sein answered.
Spike understood what they were told and they looked around for a bit.
Spike had found a large boulder but could see something behind it, he and Ori both got the same idea and pulled the rock back enough for them to move in.
just like they thought they found an item that may be one of the keystones.
"This must be one of them, we need one more" Spike explained and ori agreeing with him.
they both then decided to move to higher ground and climbed through a hole of an open tree.
They saw a keystone on the other side of it where a few branches tied to the tree above and floating in the air, they both decided to use these as platforms and carefully jumped over them, they were able to make their way to the keystone.

"That's the last one lets get back to the door" Ori suggested and they both went back to the door.
They soon then arrived back and used the keystones, just like Sein said the doors then opened so they can move forward.
"We did it!" Ori said happily.
"We sure did!" Spike said with a smile agreeing.
"Well done you two, you both make a great team." Sein complimented
"Thanks" Spike and Ori said at the same time. They then continued to move forward.

they both then had started to make they're way through the spirit caverns, spike then soon felt the sun light on him and stopped to looked at the sky he then saw the sun and had a smile on his face.
" Is everything okay spike" Ori asked concerned.
"Yeah i just didn't think the sun could shine through in this near dead forest" Spike explained
"there are parts where the sun can reach, but those won't last if we don't hurry" Sein explained saying they should keep going.
Spike nodded in understanding and they both continued moving forward spike looked at the sun one more time.
"Celestia I pray you are watching down over me." Spike prayed.

They soon found another gate preventing them from moving forward, they all groaned in anger as they had find more keystones.
"nothing can ever be easy" Ori complained with spike agreeing.
they then moved they're way down a cliff side where they hoped to find some more keystones.
they continued to make they're way down, taking down a monster of blight every now and then as well as a barrier but Sein was able to bring them down. It wasn't until they reached past the last barrier they found something strange.

" there were those that turned to hope, when she ravaged and killed" The spirit tree echoes.

"What is that?" Spike asked in awe.
" The light of the Spirit tree lives in all of us, he's the reason we're alive, he's the reason we grew" Sein began to explain
"When he called out to find Ori, many years past, we were attacked, wounded and killed by our foe" Sein said sadly
"These are Ancestral Trees, these are all that's left behind of the Spirit Guardians. Come closer and feel the light of Fil, The spirit inside" Sein told.
Spike and Ori looked at each other in confusion before they both decided to step forward.

Once they were close enough they both started to float in the air with light absorbing into them, Spike and ori looked in awe before closing they're eyes and feeling the light become one with them. when they landed they both felt something different.
"What just happened" Ori asked in confusion.
"You both were given a new ability , the ability to wall jump" Sein told" This will greatly help you two travel higher walls." Sein explained.
"Amazing..." Spike said in awe."
" Wait... how come Spike can absorb the light?" Ori questioned.
"It might've been the work of the Spirit tree, we won't know until we find it" Sein suggested

They then saw a wall just ahead, they both got the same idea and used they're new moves to make they're way upward, when they reached the top they found a strange blue orb.
"What's this?" Spike asked curiously
"that is an energy cell, Collecting more of these will let me be able to use more power to Protect you two" Sein explained, and they both understood what she told and they both made they're way around some more.

they made they're way around , they had to carefully move a boulder through some moving spikes, and they also had to fight they're way through some more enemies, Spike looked up on a ledge and saw something
" Hold on a second..." Spike said before making his way upward with his new power, Ori and Sein looked confused for a second before spike landed back down in front of them holding a strange yellow stone
" What is this?" Spike questioned.
" OH! That is a map stone fragment! there must be a map stone around here!" Sein explained in excitement.
"Map stone?" Spike and Ori both asked confused.
"Yes! if we return this fragment to the map stone, we'll be able to see more of this area and traverse faster, Excellent find Spike!." Sein said,

They then decided to look around a bit before spike noticed a cave,
" Guys! down here! " Spike called out catching Ori and Sein's attention. they both moved in to find anything interesting, they soon came upon a strange stone tablet that had markings.
This is the Map stone! Use the fragment you two found!" Sein told, they then carefully placed the fragment on the tablet and the markings then glowed.
"Whoa!" Spike said surprised, then they're heads started to ache for a minute before an image appeared, they saw what looked like where they were, the image zoomed out and they saw what looked like the places they've been, and some grey images appear in a new area.

"Was that where we're supposed to go?" Ori asked
Yes it will help us navigate better" Sein answered. they looked at each other and nodded in understanding, but before they could leave Ori noticed something on the ledge, she made her way to it and she called out.
"Guys the last fragment!" Ori said happily.
"Great work Ori!" Spike said happy for her with Sein agreeing.
"Lets go back to the door" Sein suggested before they all made they're way back.

They soon came back to the door and used the fragments, like before the door opened and they continued on, with they're knowledge of where to go they made their way upwards, fighting some more enemies, finding more fragments which meant another door, when they opened the next one they finally managed to make they're way to their destination.
"Man glad we had found that map fragment, it would've been a lot harder" Spike said a little tired.
"Yeah, it would've been a lot harder without you Spike" Ori said with a smile.
"Thanks Ori" Spike said back, before they moved forward Ori soon stopped and looked down a little sad
"What's wrong Ori" Sein asked confused, Ori then just looked down some more.

"I just never have had anyone else beside me aside from my my mother Naru, she was the only thing i had before she..." Ori said with a few tears before she continued
"I'm just glad to have someone to help me go through this, i just don't want to be alone" She said sadly.
Spike then came up to her and hugged her.
" You won't be alone Ori, I'll be at your side no matter what" Spike said with a smile.
"Promise?" Ori asked sadly
"I promise, Ori" Spike answered continuing to hug her, she then returned the hug.
" Thank you Spike" Ori said gratefully before they separated
"You two are adorable you know that? Sein teased.
" Oh shut up." they both said embarrassed,.
They then finally continued to move forward and finally made they're way to their goal.

The Spirit Tree

4: The Spirit Tree And Answers

Spike and Ori and Sein continued they're way forward and eventually stopped in front of the Spirit tree.

"Somber they found me, dormant and still, We told Ori the tale of her misguided will, and Spike the tale of why he was summoned here" The voice echoes once again.

"This must be the Spirit tree" Spike said in awe
"it's amazing." Ori said looking amazed as well,
they then found another spirit well right in front of it and decided to step on it, when they did Sein move upwards to get answers.
"You think things will be alright?" Ori asked worried
"With us by each others side, i know it will" Spike said with a smile and ori returns it, Sein soon comes back down to both of them.

"Ori, Spike.. the Spirit Tree! He must've used the last of his strength to save you both" Sein said sadly.
"Yeah... we kind of figured it out" Ori said sadly with spike agreeing. Sein then came up to spike.
"Spike, the reason your able to absorb the light and gain ability's like ori... it's because he made you part Spirit Guardian, so you could traverse these lands and have a easier time making through, if he hadn't even saved you, things would've been much harder if he didn't give you this blessing" Sein explained to spike.
Spike looked shocked and observed himself for a moment
" So I'm like a hybrid?" Spike questioned
"yes, even though you still appear as a Dragon, you have the essence of a Spirit guardian flowing in you now , it was to make sure you'd survive" Sein explained and spike still looked confused.

"Okay, but how did I even get here?" Spike questioned
"The Spirit tree was desperate to find someone who was willing to help save the forest, he used what strength he had to reach out across the world to find someone, he found you wishing that you'd be somewhere you can help find meaning, find your destiny, so it used what little strength it had to summon you here, so you could find your purpose." Sein explained
Ori and Spike looked shocked
"He summoned me here... to save this forest?" Spike asked surprised
"Yes Spike" sein answered.
" Okay... but from who?" Ori asked in worry.
" I was about to get to that." Sein answered before floating in the air.
"Come now and hear our story. It was the night of the Light Ceremony, It was the night she hated" Sein tells as they were both given a memory.

We cut to many years ago, the Spirit Tree was shining its light all over the land
" I called out to Ori, but my child never came." The voice echoes.

We then see what looked like to be hundreds more of Ori's kind gathered in front of the Tree looking confused on why they were gathered together, but then a large black bird like monster comes flying towards the tree eyes glowing white, it attacked the other Spirits when they tried to escape, the creature then looks at the tree in anger before it flies towards it.
It lands on top and rips what was the source out of it and flies off, it then lands on a tree and crushes the light in its talons and it is thrown to the ground and the monster flies off.

" Kuro stole Sein, it was the end of our days.." The voice says sadly

We cut back to present time Spike and Ori both shocked and terrified in what they saw.
"What was that?" Ori asked scared holding Spike tightly.
"What we'll have to face at one point" Spike said with fear holding Ori close to her. Sein then came back down to them.

"you both received the spirit tree's light, he put our fate in the hands of both of you. listen carefully now, for you two must understand..." Sein began to tell as they see what looks like the land of Nibel.
" The spirit tree sustained the three Elements Of Light, and in turn they brought balance and kept Nibel safe." Sein continues
" The element of Water, high up top the Gisno Tree, The element of Winds, deep with in the Forlorn Ruins, and the Element Of Warmth, beneath the fires of Mount Horu" Sein explains going to each place on the map.
" To restore Nibel to its former self, we must rekindle their light before its too late." She says with worry.

"So in order to save this land, we have to go through different dangerous parts of Nibel and restore the light that helps make the forest what it is, and eventually must face a giant bird monster that took it?" Spike asks trying to follow along with Ori.

"I'm afraid its the only way, we can't reach out to your friends because Nibel is thousands of miles away from your home, it would be to late be the time they arrive" Sein says sadly as it was given the knowledge of how far it is from the tree.
Spike and Ori then look at each other to think it out.
"You really think we should go through with this?" Ori asks scared
"The forest will suffer more if we don't and it might spread farther and even to my own home. we can't let that happen" Spike tells her.
"But what about that monster?" Ori asks scarred
"We'll have to face it at some point, but we'll be getting stronger and stronger as we go along, and We'll have each other to protect" Spike says with a smile putting his claw on her shoulder.
"We'll make it through this together, right Spike?" Ori askes.
"Of course Ori." spike says confidently before he tells her something.
" I've been wanting something like this to happen with me for a while, i always thought i was for something greater, and saving this forest is what i may need to prove myself, Twilight always said our destiny comes at a time when we least expect it, so i must do what I'm meant to do, and I'll have you at my side" Spike tells her
" You think we can do this?" Ori asks a little unsure
"with us by each others side, i know we will" Spike says with confidence with Ori smiling in agreement, they then turn back to Sein.

"We'll be glad to help this forest" Spike and Ori both say at once.
"Thank you, you two! you have our gratitude" Sein says gratefully.
"Where do we need to go first?" Spike asks.
" The first place we need to go is the Spider Coves, atop the tree where the water once flowed. they then see the image of Nibel again before a light appears near a large tree, they they open they're eyes again.
"Spider Coves?" Spike says a little confused.
"Yes its where we need to go in order to reach the Ginso tree to restore the Element Of water" Sein explains.
"Alright then lets get going!" Ori says happily, Spike then shakes off his confusion before smiles in understanding.
"Yes! Lets save this forest!" Spike says confidently, Ori, Spike, and Sein all make they're way to save the forest.

Hey guys hope you liked the surprise bonus chapter today! So I've been getting comments asking if I'll do the second ori game, the answer is yes to that, but hear me out, these first chapters have only covered the first half hour of the game, and it takes at least 3 or 4 to finish it, the second one is at least triple the length making it 12 or so. By the time I'm done with this story, the second game will be at least 3 times as big as this one, I'm still new to writing stories and i want to write a few small ones before i take on a bigger one, I Will get to the second game by the end of the year i promise! I just have a few stories i have to do first, then I'll get to them, it will come guys i promise.

Interlude: Missing

The sun had risen in Equestria, but it wasn't a normal day, everypony in the village were freaking out and asking questions on what that light was that appeared in Twilight's castle. We cut to a room in Twilight's castle and twilight was pacing back and forth while Celestia, Luna, and the rest of the mane six looked on with worry.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE'S GONE?!" Rainbow dash asked scared.
"I mean he's gone!! I searched everywhere in the castle but i couldn't find anything!!!" Twilight said yelling at her.
"Twilight calm down" Fluttershy said as she tried to help her.
"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!, DRAGONS DON'T JUST VANISH LIKE THIS!!!" Twilight said shouting even more shaking the room.
"Twilight..." Celestia said trying to be calm herself.
"What if he's hurt?! What if he's in danger?! How can he handle be alone?!" Twilight asked multiple questions in panic
"Twilight!" Celestia shouted scaring her, she soon realized her tone and calmed down.
"We'll find out what happened, we need to be calm and try to find out what that light was" Luna says trying to keep things calm.
The princesses and mane six then decided to go outside to get some air and think this over.
"Do you think Spike's okay" Applejack asked with worry
"Oh i sure hope so." Rarity said with worry.
"how are we going to be able to find him" Luna asked her sister
"I don't know but we'll find a way" Celestia said with worry.

Just then a royal guard came down and went to the princess's.
"Princess Celestia, Luna, Twilight I've gotten reports from other kingdoms." He said with a stern voice
"Please tell" Celestia ordered.
"The light that was seen was apparently seen from all over, just about every kingdom saw it and it's caused a lot of concern whether or not its a sign of a threat." The guard began explaining.
"What's happened in the other kingdoms?" Luna asked.
"The Dragon Lord Torch has sent dragon scouts out over Equestria to ask questions on what the light was that night, The griffon's has sent other scouts out as well for information. A lot of ponies are concerned whether or not it was a threat of attack." The guard explained.

They all looked at each other in worry before Celestia asked
" Is there anyone else that went missing?" Celestia asked with worry.
"Fortunately not, only your dragon friend Spike has gone missing" the guard answered
"At least no pony else went missing" Fluttershy said a little relieved.
"Anything else to report" Celestia asked
" No, nothing else right now" The guard answered
"Good, please leave us be and give us any new reports that come in" celestia ordered.
"Yes your highness" the guard responded and he left them alone.

"How are we going to get everything to settle down" Pinkie asked
"We'll tell everypony that it is something we are taking care of and they don't have to worry" Luna answered.
"What about the questions from scouts from the other kingdoms" Rainbow dash asked with worry.

"We give them the information that will help put the other kingdoms worries to rest for now" Celestia responded
"how do we explain to the dragons that a child of their kind disappeared?" Twilight asked concerned
"Leave that to me Twilight I know the dragon lords, i know what to do" Celestia assured her calming her down.

"Okay but how are we going to find Spike?" Rarity asked extremely worried.
Celestia then stopped and closed her eyes to think for a moment, she then got an idea and looked at twilight
"Twilight do you have a few shells of spikes eggs left?" Celestia asked curiously
"Yes i do but why do you need it?" Twilight asked confused
"you all go and gather the shells, i think i have an idea of how to find our friend" Celestia said with a little confidence.
"Whatever it takes to find him, come on girls lets go!" Twilight said seriously and they all went into the castle. The sisters then sighed in worry as they aren't sure on what to do.

"Sister what do you think that light could've been?" Luna asked curiously
"I have an idea on what it was, It might've been the light of The Spirit Tree?" Celestia suggested
"Spirit Tree?" Luna questioned
"yes the spirit tree of the land of Nibel, but i want to think it's something else" Celestia said sadly.
"Why" Luna said with concerned
"Because that land is thousands of miles from Equestria, i only went there once centuries ago, i don't think i could go back because it took months for me to travel there and months to go back, and i was worried about the kingdom because it didn't have a proper ruler to watch over it after so long, i was lucky there wasn't any attempts of over throwing." Celestia explained.
"What if it is?" Luna asked concerned
"Then we'll have a LONG journey to that place" celestia answered in annoyance as they both went into the castle.
Unknown to them two dragons were hiding in place and heard everything they then flew back to the Dragon Lands without being seen.

The dragon lands were pretty shaken up after that light had appeared, there were dozens of arguments all over the place, the two dragons then made their way to the dragon lord to report what they heard.
"Dragon lord torch we have news on what happened" One of the dragons said seriously
"Report" He said with a stern serious tone.
"The light had apparently appeared in one of the castle's and a Dragon child friend of theirs named Spike had vanished.
"Why was that child living with the ponies" torch asked confused
"He may have been hatched by Celestia or one of her friends." the other dragon suggested
"I'll have to question her about this later, any ideas on where he could've vanished to?" Torch questioned
"Celestia said he might've gone to this land called Nibel, summoned by something called the Spirit Tree" One of them explained.
Torch's eyes widened in surprised as he knew what he was told.
"Thank you for this report, I'll figure the rest of this out, go and continue to find more information" torch ordered
The two dragons bowed in response and flew off.

Torch then went to get the Bloodstone Scepter, he grabbed it and used its power.
" Alright kid, lets see where you are.." torch said with concern as he used it's power to locate him.
Torch sees the image of the land of Equestria it zooms out further and further and it moves far away from it and it moves far across the seas until a large continent and it zooms in and he sees spike and ori making they're way to the Gisno tree.
The image then fades away and his eyes widened in worry as he knew where he was, he had heard of Nibel before in his life, he knew of the Spirit tree, and he was worried on why the land was in a near dead state.
"That kid could be in grave danger." Torch said with worry, he then saw a nearby dragon and called to him.
"You there!" Torch yelled, the dragon then went down to him and bowed.
"Send a message to Princess Celestia telling her i want her to come here for a meeting!" Torch ordered, the dragon bowed in understanding and flew off to Equestria to give her the message leaving torch alone with a concerned look
"I hope that little drake is able to hold on till we send help" torch said praying that he will be able to help.

Hey guys hope you liked this interlude part. I plan on having the mane 6 being able to see what Spike's been going through, I wanted to have the older characters like Celestia and Torch being able to know about Nibel and the Spirit Tree, I also wanted to rewrite torch so he can be more caring and understanding because he was only in the show for one episode and then never again and he wasn't really likeable, so i wanted to rewrite him to be more caring and make him seem like a proper ruler. Thank you all so much for the support on these stories I've been making! and I hope you look forward to what's next.

5: Through Hollow Grove

Spike and ori had made they're way into hollow grove in hopes of reaching the spirit tree, as they entered they encountered a piece of the ground that looked ready to break.

"Be careful Spike and Ori this ground looks unstable" Sein said with caution, as she finished another frog like monster came down and it tried to attack, Spike and Ori both got the same idea and they lead the monster to the unstable ground, it landed on it and just like they thought it broke and it fell down, sein finished the monster off to make sure it doesn't do more harm.
"Great idea you two it looks like there's something down here" Sein said observing the new path, Spike and ori both headed down to see if they could find anything, and to they're surprise there was another spirit tree!

"Wow didn't expect another one so soon" Spike said a little surprised with Ori nodding as well, sein went to see who was previously here.
"Ano the spirit that died here, was strong and courageous. Listen to his voice and he was able to focus our light" Sein said with lines that were like poetry. Spike and ori both made they're way to the tree and just like before light began to float and absorb into them giving them another power.

"What was the new power we just got?" Ori asked confused.
"this is the Charge Flame, by focusing my light on a nearby enemy i can unleash a powerful blast that will do a lot more damage" Sein explained.
"This will definitely be a big help" Spike said with a smile, they then both proceeded forward, they soon came upon a wall with blue cracks looking like it needs an extra punch.
"Lets try out that new power" Ori suggests, they then have Sein come close and focus her light, like she said she unleashes a large blast that brings the wall down.
"Great work Ori!" Spike compliments.
"Thanks Spike" Ori says with a little blush, they then continued on forward.

They continued to move on, climbing up some more walls, and breaking down a few more walls opening path to previous areas they've been making it easier to go back faster, they then came upon a wooden lever and out of curiosity they both pulled it to see what happens, they then look up and see a log had lowered down a bit giving them a bit better of a chance to reach a higher area.
"Let's be sure to keep an eye out for more levers like these" Spike suggested with the other two agreeing as they made they're way back. Like they hoped the new ledge helped them reach a previously unreachable area which helped lead them into the Spider Coves like they were supposed to go.

As they entered they're eyes widened as they saw what looked like a large cocoon which moved up towards another place they needed to reach.
"Hope we don't run into the monster that did this..." Spike said nervously with Ori holding his hand as they both made they're way upwards using the cocoon to reach the higher area. they had sein use her charge flame ability to destroy a venerable rock that held the cocoon, the cocoon then fell down giving them access to move forward in an area which previously had just a pit of spikes on the ground.
"At least we can see what's down there now" Ori said a little nervously, they both then jumped down to see what they could find.

They then landed on the cocoon and saw two directions they could go right or left, they both decided to go left first as they saw a blue light in the distance, and like they thought there was another energy cell, after collecting it they then made they're way right. They ran into a few spider monsters but it wasn't much of a problem to deal with them, they had to carefully jump over wooden logs over poisonous water to make they're way to the other side. they soon had to make they're way higher and used a few blue energy trampoline like objects ( I'm just gonna call them sprouts) to jump into higher ledges and climb a few more trees, they then finally made they're way out of the coves an into the Thornfelt Swamp.

"Wow that seemed easier then i thought," Ori said a little surprised
"You should never say that ori, saying stuff like that can ALWAYS make things harder" Spike said a little annoyed
"Why is that Spike?" Sein asked confused
"I have personal experience with that with some of my friends." Spike said before looking a little sad as soon as he said friends, which they both caught.
"What's wrong spike?" Ori asked concerned for her friend.
"I miss them.." Spike said sadly.
"you mean your friends?" Ori said looking sad as well.
"Yeah its just. I suddenly vanished after telling my guardian/ mother that i was hoping that I'll be able to do something great, they were always going out on dangerous stuff to save Equestria while i was just at home, i know it was just for me to be safe... but i just wished i was able to do more to help." Spike explained, Ori then came up to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"I may have only had one mother, but everything we did i always did that made her happy and helped her in everyway i could, like when i helped pick foods with her, or when i helped her build a bridge to reach other trees with fruits after the ones we used ran out, no matter what i did i always helped in the best way i could even it it was small." Ori says with a small smile.
"She's right spike, no matter what we do it's always important that we do our best to help others and make things better like what we're doing now." Sein said sadly.
"I just hope that I'll be able to see them again. " Spike said about to cry
"When this is over we'll find a way, i promise Spike" Ori said before giving him a hug.
"Thank you ori" Spike said with tears
"Your welcome Spike" Ori said with a few tears of her own, they soon then cheered up and they continued holding each others hands.

6: Through The Thornfelt Swamp And Gumo's Hide Out

As spike and Ori entered the swamp they were greeted by a large ledge they needed to climb, they wall jumped to the top, they then saw a edge that was a bit to high.

"We need to find something to help reach that ledge" Spike suggested as they looked around to see what they could use, Ori then pointed to a nearby cave that had a boulder near the end.
"We could use that to get the extra height." Ori suggested and they made their way towards the rock while avoiding rotating spikes that came out of the ground, they pulled the boulder back to the ledge but before they went ahead spike noticed something else in the cave.
" Hang on i think there's something else in there" Spike pointed out as he and ori both went to see what they saw, thankfully they found another spirit well and they sighed in relief.
"Glad there's a good number of these things around" Spike said with a smile as he and Ori went to take a quick rest.

Using the spirit wells instantly got rid of any injury and completely restored his stamina, it was better then most healing magic in Equestria to Spike, after they recovered then then made their way back and went up the ledge and were near the entrance of the Gisno Tree .

" While Ori and Spike brought light and hope to the forest, others gave in and embraced darkness and fear" The spirit tree echoes.

As Spike and Ori arrived at the entrance they saw a spider like creature holding a piece of light, as soon as he saw them he soon ran away with the object in hands.
"Wait!" Spike and Ori shouted trying to stop him but he was gone.
" A Gumon from the Forlorn Ruins! We must follow his steps, and get back what he stole! We need that to get into the Gisno Tree!" Sein said with worry as spike and ori quickly headed after him.
Spike and Ori followed after him close behind, following him each way he went, they had to redirect an monsters attacks at walls in order to proceed, soon Spike and Ori came upon the Moon Grotto.

As they entered Spike and Ori both saw him carefully avoiding purple beams of energy as it looked lethal, he carefully made his way downwards and went to his right.
"Careful you two! These could kill you instantly!" Sein said with worry.
Spike observed how often the beams fire and got an idea.
" I think i know how to get past these, but i need you to trust me" spike said holding his claw out, ori then looked him for a moment before grabbing his hand.
" Okay but what do we have to do?" Ori asked confused.
"Follow my lead" Spike said as he rushed through the obstacle ori tailing right behind.
Spike had carefully maneuvered down the ledge avoiding another purple beam, he then took them and clings to a wall to avoid the beam that was about to fire, they then quickly made they're way under and grabbed onto a ledge and made it on top.
" Wow that worked! Great job Spike!" Sein said surprised.
"It's all about timing, come on we need to get the key back." Spike said as they quickly continued after.

They continued to move downwards, they found another Spirit well in which they both used to recover and quickly head back down they once again saw the Gumon going downwards even more and followed in pursuit.
" Man how deep does this place go?" Ori asked surprised.
"Don't know, but i have the feeling we're about to find out" Spike said with worry as they moved forward.
As soon as Spike finished that sentence they came upon a bridge in which the Gumon was on the other side of, but as they made they're way across the Gumon pulled a lever which caused the bridge to split and two and the two friends fell down.
" I KNEW IT!!" Spike shouted in irony as they fell down, they eventually landed down on the ground pretty hard.
"Ow... That's gonna be felt later on" Spike groaned as he got up he saw ori and his eyes widened in panic.
"ORI! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Spike asked with worry as he tried to help her up
" Yeah I'm fine, thanks" Ori said gratefully as she took his hand.

They then both got up and looked around to see where they were
"This must be the Gumon's hideout" Sein said as they finished looking around.
" How are we gonna get out of here?" Ori asked with worry.
just then the Gumon landed on the ground and went into a nearby cave
"We'll figure this out later, we need to follow him! Spike said as he went on ahead Ori and Sein following after.
they had to carefully move around moving platforms that could squish them if they were in between them, they found another map fragment and used the map stone back at where they fell to know how to get around, they then got back to following the Gumon right after.
They had to take care of a larger enemy the Gumon had rioted, Spike finished it with his fire as Sein used a few Charge Flame blasts to damage it faster, as soon as that was done they moved forward and found a door fragment.
"Another fragment another door" spike said complaining as they saw that
" they're might be something interesting if we find the door lets head back" Ori said as she and spike went back to the top.

They went up a ledge they hadn't explored and carefully moved through some more walls and ceilings that could crush them eventually they found the door that they needed to open. Spike saw the other fragment that he needed to carefully move through moving ceilings and grounds and he was able to grab the fragment and made his way back.
"You act like you've done this kind of thing before" Ori asked curiously.
"I've done a lot of strange things with Twilight, I'll tell you about it later." Spike said with a smile as they continued.
They had to go down a ledge that had spikes, they had to carefully time their jumps as they made their way down, they then jumped over some more poisonous water and logs and to their shock they found another Spirit Tree.

"How many of these Spirits lost they're lives to that monster..." Spike asked sadly
" Almost everyone, it was the end of our times as Kuro attacked." Sein explained
"Kuro?" Spike and Ori both asked.
"The name of the monster, she hated the light and wiped out all of them..." Sein said sadly
"Why though? Why does she hate the light? What did it do to her?" spike asked upset as he wondered what her problem was.
"I'm not entirely sure myself, but i have a feeling we're going to find out soon" Sein says as they moved closer.
"We'll avenge them, we'll save this forest and restore the light" Ori said hoping things will go well.
Sein then went towards the tree to see who lays here.
" An Ancestral Tree. Leru lay here, She was swift, agile, used to cut through the air" sein explains sadly as she reads who this used to be, Spike and Ori absorb the light once more and they get another power.
"What was it this time?" Spike asked curiously.
" This is the double jump, it will allow you to jump an even farther distance or get higher after the jump.
"That will be helpful for reaching higher areas" Ori says happily they then made their way back to the top.

As they made their was back a few of Spikes scaled glow white for a few moments before returning to normal but no one noticed it.

It was much easier reaching across longer ledges then before, they used their new power to make their way around, with the knowledge of the layout it was easier to make their way around, they had to avoid some more obstacles that had the purple energy beams, found some more Energy cells and a couple life cells that would help make them more durable, they soon came near a pit in which they saw the Gumon trying to pull a lever but it was a lot harder to do so, but as he pulled it he went back a lot farther then he thought and crushed a large log in which a larger rock fell on his leg preventing him from moving.

they had to make their way up the pit while avoiding falling rocks that could prevent them, they then jumped of a hanging log which helped them reach the top, but as soon as they did their eyes widened in shock as they saw he was hurt.
"Must've accidently caused some of the logs to fall and one must've had that rock" Spike said as he observed what he saw.
"We can't just leave him hear to suffer, this forest has gone through enough already he might've been to scared." Ori says sadly.
"She's right Spike, even though he tried to stop us this forest being in darkness for so long prevented him from seeing what needs to be done, but it doesn't mean he cant find the light again." Sein explains with concern.
Spike looks at him once again before deciding they're right and they should help as he was a little hesitant on helping him.
They then lifted the boulder off his feet freeing him, he looks confused for a moment before running down a path they looked at each other in confusion for a minute but decided to follow.

"Ori and Spike brought kindness and hope to his heart" The Spirit tree echoes again.

We then see Spike and Ori find their way back at the bridge, they then see Gumo give them the Water Vein before he quickly runs off.
"At least he'll be alright" Ori says with a smile.
"Yeah he will, and now we got the Water Vein." Spike says happily.
"Lets get back to the Gisno tree we have to use this in order to get in.
"You said that we can warp to other spirit wells with the more we find right? Lets use the one that's nearby to go to the one that's right next to the tree! Spike suggested.
"Great idea! it will help us get there much faster! Sein said happy, they then soon made their way back to the spirit well and used it, in the blink of an eye they ended up back in in the cave right below the tree. They then carefully made their way through the spikes and climbed on the ledge they soon found themselves back at where they needed to be.

The Gisno Tree

Hey guys, another extra chapter for today! I had some extra time today and decided to use it to make this and I'll do so with any other extra time i have , hope you guys are liking what I've made so far, please be sure to to like the story and stay tuned for more!

7: The Ginso Tree And Spike's Visions

Spike and Ori stood at the entrance of the Ginso tree, they then inserted the water vessel and like Sein said the door opened.

"You ready for this Spike" Ori asked with some determination
"Ready as I'll ever be, lets do this!" Spike said with a serious look, they then both entered the tree.
The tree was huge, they were at the very bottom, they saw what looked like small portals around the area, one was one the bottom and the other was on the top.
"We must have to use these in order to reach the top" Spike said as he observed the area.
"The waters of Nibel once flowed through this very tree, now its all rotten and dried up inside... We shall restore the water flow, The Ginso trees heart we must find" Sein explained, Spike and ori both understanding
"It's gonna be a long way up, we should get going" Ori said as she made her way to the first portal with Spike following behind.

The first few floors were pretty easy to traverse, they had to jump off logs that helped them reach higher levels, the next few areas were pretty tough though, Spike and Ori had to avoid walls and ceilings with spiked surfaces and had some enemy's on them, but they were simple to deal with. Spike and ori had to carefully maneuver some of the enemies fire through some logs that made its way to a sealed off wall at a few points, they soon came upon yet another Ancestral tree Spike then looked a little sad.
"It's depressing seeing how many Spirits lost they're lives" Spike said sadly.
"Yes it's a true tragedy on what happened that night" Sein says sadly as well, she then goes up and sees who lies here.

"Reem was agile, he dashed through the air, listen to his voice, the wisdom he shared." Sein told them, they then stepped forward and absorbed the light once again and landed on the ground.
" This is the bash ability, it will allow you to dash towards the direction you want to go, and it will send enemy projectiles in the other direction you go" Sein explains to them
"Cool" Spike says in awe
"Its really amazing" Ori says agreeing

They then decided to try it out but before they could, Spike groaned in pain as he fell to his knees.
" Spike are you okay?!" Ori asks in worry, they then saw a lot of spike's scales glowing and spike groans as he and his eyes start glowing as well as it happens, the glow soon fades away as spike takes heavy breaths as he tried to get back on his feet.
" Are you okay Spike?!" Ori asks worried for her friend.
"Yeah, I'm fine now, what was that?" Spike asks as he looks at himself.
" I don't know, but i think its something we should be concerned about" Sein says with worry.
"I feel fine now, we need to keep going, the heart shouldn't be far" Spike says as he got moving and used his new ability to bash from a nearby lantern with Ori and Sein looking a little worried before deciding to talk about it later and moved onwards.

The way upwards got a little tougher, they had to redirect enemy projectiles to other walls like Sein said, and had to carefully move their way by falling through a few portals they soon came upon the heart after a long climb.
" It looks like it needs to be freed in order to have the water flow" Spike said as he overserved the area.
" yes, The heart of the Gniso Tree once kept the elements of Water safe, but now its corrupted, all foul and decayed." Sein says sadly, she then flew towards to see the problem.
"we have to help it, cure it and cleanse the blight by removing the blight by removing the corruption on both sides" Sein explains as she figured out the problem.
"I think it will be easier if we split up and go in either direction, I'll go right you, go left it will make our jobs faster" Spike suggested.
"Good idea, please be careful spike." Ori says a little worried
"I'll be fine ori, don't worry" Spike says with a smile as he made his way right like he said and Ori and Sein went left.

As Ori and Sein made they're ways to the source of the corruption on the left as they made they're was to the top, ori was looking worried with Sein noticing.
"What's wrong Ori" Sein asks concerned.
"I'm just worried for spike, the way he glowed like that, i don't think it's natural for his kind.." Ori says as she continues to walk forward.
"Yes I'm concerned as well, you think it will happen again" Sein askes concerned as well.
"I hope not, if it does I hope we'll find a way to help him" Ori concludes as she finds the corruption, Sein uses her powers and cleanses it as the blight explodes like a chain freeing half of the heart, soon the other half is followed as Spike had taken care of it as well, they then both landed on the ground with a little impact.
"is everything okay Spike?" Sein asks worried.
" Yeah I'm good" Spike says with a smile, but deep down Spike knew something was wrong...

A few minutes ago with Spike

Spike had made his way through the puzzle, he moved the enemies projectiles upwards and was able to redirect it into a damaged wall, spike soon landed on the ledge with a smile.
" That was tough but I'm glad its done" Spike says with a smile.

But before spike continued he soon felt a large pain in his head.
"AGH!" Spike screams as he holds his head, he soon fell on his knees as his body started to glow again.
"What's.. happening?!" Spike asks weakly as his eyes glow again.
He then started to have visions and what he saw made his heart beat rapidly.
he saw visions of what looked like the night of the ceremony, but what he saw terrified him,
he saw first person shots of Kuro slashing at him, over and over and over again, he could feel the terror of the people in the vision, Kuru then roars in rage and slashes at him one more time before he snaps out of it, his heart is pounding and he is breathing heavily.

"What was that?! Why am i seeing these?!" Spike asks scarred, after a minute he finally calms down and is able to walk.
" I have to focus, when i find Twilight again she can hopefully help" spike says as he continues on, he soon finds the other half of the blight and he uses his fire breath to destroy it, the blight explodes and the heart is soon open ready to be restored, he then jumps off the ledge and lands on the ground he sees Ori and Sein just landed as well,
"Spike are you okay?" Sein asks worried.
" Yeah im good" Spike says with a smile, but deep down spike knew something was wrong.

"So all we need to do now is restore the heart?" Spike asks.
'yes leave this to me." Sein says as she flies to the center of the heart.
"Once the heart is restored the water will finally be able to flow again" Sein says as she glows brightly, and soon the heart glows a complete blue making it restored sein soon comes and flies down again.
as soon as she finishes this however, water begins to rise up fast!
" We need to get out of here right now!" Ori says scared, she and Spike both see a lantern and use their bash move to rise upwards.

Spike and Ori continued to use the lanterns to move upwards, they had to move through more portals in order to reach higher areas, they then had to move through enemies and use them as projectiles to move upwards, they even had to use some more blue sprouts to jump higher, they then had to climb a few walls to reach more ledges and use enemy projectiles to jump higher.
"MORE WATER JUST KEEPS COMING!!" Ori says scared as the water keeps getting higher.
" WERE ALMOST OUT OF HERE! HANG ON! Spike says with determination as he holds Ori's hand.
they then continued on to move higher and climb some more walls all the while trees that had grown in were being flooded by the water, but they soon saw the way out.
" THERE IT IS!! COME ONE!!!" Spike says as he and Ori had to use the bash a few more times, the water rising higher with each bash, as soon as they do the last one the water bursts out of the tree like a fountain and Spike and Ori land by the side of it.

"We.. we made it! We really made it!" Ori says happily as she feels relieved.
"I told you we would make it!" Spike says rubbing her head.
"Great work you two, the waters should be restored now!" Sein says happily.
Spike and ori both stand up and feel the water rain down on them.
"It's beautiful" Ori says with a smile.
"It really is" Spike says with a smile, he and Ori both hold out they're hands to feel the rain while they they held they're other hands.
But they're victory is soon interrupted as lightning begins to flash, and something appears in the background.

"KURO!!" Sein yells as she lands right in front of them.

With each step she takes, Spike begins to have more flashbacks.
he kept seeing the terror of he when she killed the spirit guardians, it happening over and over again, spikes heart began to beat rapidly and he breathes quickly as he heard multiple voices saying the same thing
"RUN!"
"RUN!"
"RUN!

As the last one happens lightning flashes again as she takes a final step and is right in front of them, Spike then looks at Ori with a terrified face and says one thing as she holds her hand.
"RUN!!" Spike yells as she and Ori both try to run, but the next step Kuro makes causes a large impact to hit the ground catching them off balance and they fall of the tree.
"ORI!" Spike yells as he holds her.
"SPIKE!!" Ori yells scared as she holds him close to her, they hold each other close and close their eyes waiting to hit the ground, but Kuro is seen flying in the background and begins to move closer and closer to them as the screen fades to black.

" It was the light that she hated, the light of our kind. But Ori and Spike's kindness would once again save them"

Interlude: The Meeting And Seeing Spikes Journey

A few hours had passed after Celestia had told Twilight to find Spikes egg shells, she had hoped she could use a spell to locate him, or see what's happening, everypony was gathered in the throne room the pieces of spike's egg laid on the ground.

"So you think this could help us find spike?" Twilight asked with worry.
"I hope so i just hope i can at least get his location" Celestia said with hope, the mane 6 had watched Celestia and Luna try to cast a spell to see where spike is.
The egg pieces began to float and spun around the room creating beams of light as they rapidly flew. they then saw a dragon shaped figure appear in their heads.
"I think that's him!" Twilight said with confidence,
"Please work!" The mane 6 said with hope as they could see spike's shadow but not fully. But just as spike almost fully appeared he began to disappear again.
"NO! COME ON!" Celestia said as she struggled, but they didn't have enough magic and the spell failed, Celestia and Luna collapsed on the ground exhausted and the mane 6 ran up to see if their okay.

"What happened?!" The mane 6 asked with worry.
"We didn't have enough magic, he must be to far away to find, it wouldn't have been hard if he was in Equestria" Celestia said as she took heavy breathes.
"Are you saying Spikes not even IN Equestria?!" They all said horrified.
"I'm afraid so... I'm so sorry... i failed you all" Celestia said with tears, the main 6 began to cry as all seemed lost.
"How are we gonna find him?" Rarity said crying.
"I... I don't know" Luna said as she didn't have any ideas.
As they all felt it was lost a guard came in holding a letter.

"your highness! A letter has arrived for you!" The guard reported.
"A Letter?" The mane 6 all asked.
"From who?" Celestia asked curiously.
"The Dragon lord, Torch, he wishes to see you." The guard said a little worried.
"WHAT?!" Luna asked worried.
"What does he want with me?"
"The dragon who delivered the letter said he needed to meet you, something about your missing friend" The guard explained.
"You think he could be able to help find Spike?" Celestia asked her sister.
"It could be possible, he IS the dragon lord after all" Luna answered.
"Thank you for this, you can rest for now" Celestia said as she took the letter, she then proceeded to read it, as soon as she finished it she looked at everyone else.
"We're going to the Dragon lands for a meeting." Celestia said seriously.
"What?" They all asked confused.
"we all need to get going now, and let me do the talking, i know him and don't want to cause trouble." Celestia said as she beckoned the others to follow her. They all looked confused but then followed her, Twilight grabbed the pieces of spikes egg before following her as she then teleported them to the Dragon lands.

As soon as they teleported to the lands they were immediately hit with overbearing heat.
"Is it hotter then the last time we were here?" Rainbow dash asked sweating as the mane 6 wondered the same thing.
"It's a hotter day here yes, but we should focus on finding Torch." Celestia said as she moved ahead the others following behind.
The dragon lands were barren with nothing that much to say, there were multiple volcanos and mountains, barely anything could make it look like the rest of Equestria, there were multiple dragons who saw them and were wondering why ponies were in their territory.

"Haven't been here in a long time" Celestia said as she continued forward.
"you've been here before Sister?" Luna asked curiously.
"Yes it has been a very long time though, the last time i was here was when torch and i wanted to spend a little time, form a bit of a stronger bond with each other." Celestia explained.
"How did that go?" Fluttershy asked.
"We formed a respect for each other and agreed to help each other out when we needed it and would keep in contact with each other." Celestia said with a smile
They soon finally arrived at the Dragon lords throne where Torch sat.

"Princess Celestia, it is great to see you again, And it's an honor to meet you Princess Luna and Twilight" Torch said with a smile.
"You know about me?" Twilight asked curiously.
"Celestia had told me on what you did to save Equestria, you have my respect for that, congratulations on becoming a Princess" torch said honestly, The main 6 all smiled at his kindness and bowed in respect before Celestia decided to ask.

"Why have you summoned us here?" Celestia asked.
"I understand a dragon child who is your friend has gone missing, scouts had reported to me about the whole thing" Torch said seriously.
"But i have a few questions about this child first" Torch said with a serious look.
"What do you want to know" Celestia asked.

"How did you come across him?, and why didn't you tell me about him, i could have assigned a pair of mates to be his guardians if you had." Torch asked with a bit of an upset look.
"I had found his egg alone in the forest, i tried to find the parents but i didn't find them, I needed the use the egg for a special hatching project for my student, I'm sorry i didn't tell you about this" Celestia said regretfully, a large amount of dragons were watching them and were shocked in what they heard, even Garble and his crew started to feel bad.

"So he was abandoned?" Torch asked sadly.
"I don't know, but i wasn't gonna let anything bad happen to him so i had Twilight here hatch him and she raised him like a mother." Celestia said with a smile, torch then looked upset for a moment and took a deep breath before saying.
"Even though it is by law that ANY eggs that were found without its parents, it should be given to a proper guardian dragon, ...but I trust you enough to take care of him" He said with a smile.
The mane 6 all sighed in relief.
"Thank you torch, truly" Twilight said gratefully

"I only have one request though." torch began to ask twilight
"What is it?" Twilight asked

"Once we bring him back i only ask that he his given a pair of dragons to raise him like a one, he won't have you forever, and he should at least be given a proper education on dragons and be able to defend himself, i will allow him to visit you all whenever he wants, but he should have a proper pair of dragons to raise him." Torch asked her. they all looked shocked for a moment before twilight began to think it over, Celestia then begin to tell Twilight.
He's right twilight, he won't always have you, he should have an extra pair of guardians to keep him safe" she said sadly. Twilight then took a deep breath and looked at torch.
"I accept this, I won't be with him forever, and he should learn to protect himself." Twilight said with a smile and Torch smiled as well, the mane 6 looked shocked though.
"Are you sure about this twilight" Applejack asked worried
"Yes, he should learn to keep himself safe when he doesn't have us" Twilight said with a smile.
"I'll work on getting him a pair of guardians later. I Expect the dragons watching us to show respect to him if they decide to adopt him even if he was raised by ponies" Torch said looking at the other dragons in anger and they all bowed in understanding.

"Now back to the conversation, you said you could help us find Spike?" Celestia asked Torch.
"I can help us see what's happening with him ,but i beg for your help, your magic with my power can help us see what's happening with him, i was only able to get his location for a brief moment.
"REALLY?!" They all asked surprised.
"Where is he?!" Celestia asked worried.

"Your not gonna like it" Torch said with a stern voice, he then told them on where he was.

"WHAT?!?!?!" Celestia shouts extremely loudly shocking the mane 6 and even Torch, her voice echoed over the lands some nearby birds flying away from it, it even surprised the dragons who were watching in how loud it was.

"Are you sure?!" Celestia asked horrified.
"Yes, he is in the land of Nibel" torch said sadly
"Nibel?" The mane 6 all asked.
"Yes the land of Nibel, home of the Spirit tree, the source of the worlds life" Celestia explained and the others looked in shock.
"Why can't we go to this place and get him?" Rainbow dashed eager to get flying to save him.
"Because Nibel is thousands of miles from Equestria, it would take months for us to reach it, I've only been there a couple times before, but i couldn't go anymore because of how far it was and i am centuries old." Torch explained.
"How can we reach him?" Rarity asked Torch.

"We can figure that out later, but i think it's important we see what's been happening with him" Torch suggested.
"He's right, Twilight you still have the egg pieces?" Celestia asked.
Twilight then putted the pieces on the ground.
"Good, we need these in order to work" Torch said as he pulled out the scepter.
"This will give us enough magic to find him, we'll be catching up on what's happened with him and see what's currently going on, Celestia, Luna, prepare yourselves." Torch ordered as they got ready to try the spell again, dozens of more dragons came over and were ready to see what was happening with spike.
"Ready?" torch asked as he held the scepter.

"READY!" They both shouted and used the spell again, Torched used the scepter and it glowed brightly. The mane 6 and dragons all watched in awe of what was happening, the sky then started to swirl around and shrouded them in it, they all found themselves in a white void.
"What is this place?" Pinkie asked
"This void is what will help us see where he is, now be quiet were about to see what's happened" Torch ordered, and they all began to see Spike.
"SPIKE!" They all shouted hoping he would respond, but he didn't.
"Why can't he hear us?" Fluttershy asked.
"Because these are only memories recalling what's happened, even when we get to where he currently is he won't be able to hear us, but we will be able to see him" Celestia explained. They then began to see Spike's journey from the start the dragons and mane 6 and the princesses watched in awe.

we see the memory of spike first waking up in the forest.

"Rainbow dash! if this is a prank its not funny!" spike says angerly as rainbow dash looks upset
"I wouldn't pull a prank like that!" Rainbow dash says offended
"you totally would the rest of the mane 6 all say at once, even celestia agrees and rainbow groans in embarrassment.

They then see Spike being attacked by the two horned creature.

"WHAT ARE THOSE?!" Spike shouts scarred, the mane 6 looking scarred for they're friend.
They then see Spike avoided the creatures, but they all gasped horrified as they see spike get a large cut from one of them.
"Oh no.." Fluttershy asks scarred for him.

They then see spike beginning to crawl weakly to injured from the loss of blood all of them horrified.
" No... not like this..." spike says weakly and everyone watching started to form tears.
they then see spike befriend an injured Ori, and they found it really cute.
"Glad.. i could... help..." Spike says as he collapses on the ground all of them become horrified at what they saw.
"Spike...no!" Celestia said on the verge of crying, even Torch had tears in his eyes.
"Twilight... I'm so sorry..." Spike says as he feels his last breath, ori then climbs on him with tears in her eyes, he then rubs ori's head.
"It's... gonna be... okay..." Spike says weakly, he and Ori feel they're breaths leave them and they close they're eyes for the last time, all of them breaking down crying as they saw him die.

"No... it cant be... it can't be!" Twilight says crying a massive amount of tears the others crying as well, even some dragons were crying in what they saw.
"Spike... he can't..." Luna said depressed as she was heavily upset.
"That poor hatchling" one dragon said crying as well with the other dragons looking depressed from it.

They all then see a white flower appear next to them and look confused before even more flowers emerge, then a massive field can be seen along with a giant tree.
"The Spirit tree!" Celestia said and everyone look at it in awe.
"That's the spirit tree?" Twilight asked as they saw light flow into spike and Ori. and soon they see spike open his eyes again and gasp in happiness.
"He's okay!!" Pinkie says so relieved.

They then see Spike and Ori introduce each other agree to help each other, they all awe in happiness as they see Ori hug him, they then see what's happened with him on his journey, them meeting Sein, and they see why spike was brought there, he was apparently summoned by the Spirit tree as a last bit of desperation for help and learn that is saw potential in him.

"Spike did say he had wished to do something great one day" Twilight said fascinated.

they then all look shocked as they learned what happened to spike in order to understand Ori.
"So I'm like a hybrid" Spike asks and they all gasp in shock
"yes it was in order for you two to better understand each other and traverse Nibel" Sein explains as as everyone looks shocked.
"the spirit tree... made Spike part spirit?" Celestia asked concerned

they then see the rest of the journey, him helping solve puzzles, and him and Ori free Gumo and they all smile as they saw them free him. We then reach the parts of the Ginso tree where things became concerning, we then reach the part where they absorbed the light from another Ancestral tree.
But they then see Spike groan in pain, and gasp as spike falls to his knees.

"Spike! Are you okay?!" Ori asks worried for her friend, we then see spikes scales glow white as well as his eyes before it all fades away and they sigh in relief.
"What was that?" Spike asks as he tried to get up.
"I don't know but i think it's something we should be concerned about" Sein says worried, but spike gets up.
"I'm fine now we should focus on the heart, we'll talk about this later." Spike says as he makes his way upward with the bash ability, ori and sein look worried before following behind.

"So he can absorb the light for new ability's" Luna says curiously.
"the Spirit Tree can do many things Luna" Celestia explained as they continued watching.
We then reach the part where Spike is alone and is about to free the other half of the heart, but Spike feels his head hurt badly and screams in pain.
"AGH!" Spike screams as he falls to knees and everyone looks horrified as his body glows white again. They then see spikes visions of him being slashed at by Kuro over and over, everyone looking horrified in what he saw.
"What is happening with him?!" Torch asks upset for him.
"I think he's seeing memories of the spirits he's gained powers from" Celestia says as they continue to observe.
"Why is this happening?!" Spike asks, soon the pain goes away and spike gets on his feat again they all sigh in relief.
"I'll have to ask Twilight about this the next time i see her, hopefully she can help" Spike says as he continues to the other half.
"I don't think this is something even I can help with" Twilight says sadly.

They then see spike and Ori's escape through the rising waters, and they all cheer as they escaped.
"we made it... we really made it!" Ori says happily.
" I told you we would!" Spike says happily.
"So he's at least freed the element of water, that's amazing!" Celestia says astonished.
But they're cheers soon turn to gasps as they see a monster emerge in the background.

"KURO!!" Sein yells as she lands in front of them, everyone looks terrified as it gets closer to Spike and Ori, they see spike start to breath rapidly again and gasp when he sees more visions hearing one word repeat he then turns to ori saying the same thing holding her hand.
"RUN!!" Spike says terrified as he and Ori try to escape but the next step she makes causes them to lose they're balance and they fall off the tree, they all look horrified in what they saw.
"SPIKE!" Ori shouts as she grabs his hand.
"ORI!!" Spike shouts as he holds her close, Kuro is seen flying in the background and flies closer and closer until everything fades to black.

"SPIKE!!" Everyone shouts.
"do you think he's okay?!" Rainbow dash asks horrified.
"We'll have to see" Celestia says as she looks extremely worried, we then zoom into the vision as we cut back to Spike and Ori.

8: Exploring New Areas

We cut to a beautiful sunrise in the Thornfelt Swamp, Gumo is seen carrying Spike and Ori in hands before gently setting them down.
"Thank you, you two." Gumo says gratefully before he quickly takes off leaving them on the grass, they soon open they're eyes.
"Huh? where are we?" Spike asks confused as he gets up and sees Ori right next to him getting up as well.
"ORI! ARE YOU OKAY?!" Spike askes as he helps her up.
"I'm fine! are you?!" she asks worried as well.
"I feel fine, but how did we get here?" Spike asks confused
"I don't know." Ori says wondering why they were here as well, Spike then hugs here surprising her for a moment before she returns it with a smile.
"I'm just glad your okay." Spike says with a smile.
"Me too, thank you Spike" She says gratefully. as soon as they separate they see Sein fly down to them.

"Ori! Spike! I thought I had lost you two to Kuro's talons of hate... But it was Gumo who saved you, delivering us from an uncertain fate." She says really relieved that her friends are okay.
"Gumo saved us?" Spike asks surprised with Ori surprised as well.
"Yes, he was able to save you two before you were taken by Kuro." Sein explains.
"I hope we are able to give him our thanks soon" Spike says with a smile Ori agreeing with a smile as well, Gumo was in the distance and had heard everything and had a smile of happiness before he decided to take off once again.
Sein then looks down to the waters.
" Look here, With the Ginso Tree restored, Nibel's waters are clear!" Sein says happy.
"I'm so glad that the waters are normal again, now we can properly swim through them." Spike says with a smile before he kneels down and takes a quick drink with ori taking one as well they sigh in relief as the water help ease them, once they finished they look up at Sein.

"What do we need to do now?" Ori asks ready to know what's next Spike nodding ready as well.
"We need to restore the Elements of winds next ,resting deep with in the Forlorn Ruins but we need to find a key to open the entrance, and It is inside the Misty woods." Sein explains.
"Forlorn ruins?, but isn't that where Gumo's kind is from?" Spike asked confused.
"Yes, but none aside him have been seen again they were amazing builders and made amazing things, but the state of the forest left their fate unknown." Sein says sadly.
"So we need to go to these "misty woods" In order to get the keystone to the entrance" Ori asks.
"Yes it near the northwest." Sein explains, the image of Nibel comes into their minds before it moves to the top left of the area and a light shines signifying they're destination.
"Hang on before we go we should explore a little more of the area around, we might find some more interesting stuff since the waters are cleared, and i think i saw a ledge near the Spirit well near the spirit caverns we hadn't been able to explore that place yet." Spike suggests as he looks at the water.
"he's right we should prepare ourselves before we should go into more tough areas" Ori agrees.
"Okay lets see what we can find, lets go!" Sein declares as she and spike and Ori start to explore.

There was a lot for them to find, with the waters cleared Spike and Ori were able to discover quite a few things, Spike had practice holding his breath and could do so for about 5 minutes and was able to help ori learn as well. They were able to discover a lot of stuff, secret caves, they were able to find more life and energy cells to help them around ,they also opened up more ways to the previous areas they explored. they saw a high ledge that they needed to bash off lanterns to reach, they bashed off higher lanterns and landed near the top and they discovered another Ancestral tree.

"Another area, another Ancestral tree" Spike says before Ori put her hand on his shoulder.
"You sure we should absorb this ones light as well? you were hurting a lot after the last one." Ori says worried for her friend.
"We need to do so in order to proceed farther, lets do it." Spike says as he walks up to it, Ori then as she was worried for him sighs and follows, Sein goes up to the tree to see who it was.
Ilo was the stoutest of the Spirits, the most powerful ever seen. Now here he rests turned into an ancestral tree." Sein says sadly.

"Even the strongest of the Spirits couldn't defend themselves against her" Spike says sadly with Ori looking sad as well.
They once again absorb the light from the tree and land on the ground with another power.
"This is the Stomp ability, you have to jump into the air and curl up and you will emit a powerful impact on the ground" Sein tells them, Spike and Ori both try it out and were able to get the hang of it, they then look spike to see if anything happens.
"Huh, nothing, guess i might be lucky for this one" spike says as he looks at himself seeing if anything happened.
"We should at least be careful when moving forward we never know when you might react like that again" Sein says worried.

"This might help us reach that area near the spirit caverns that i saw lets head back there" Spike suggest as he and the others take off.

They had to take a bit of a backtrack back to the spirit well near the Spirit Caverns but they had to go, with the Stomp ability they were able to open up paths that weak floors they previously saw above them led to, eventually they made their way back to the Spirit well near the Spirit caverns and they quickly used it to recover.
"Okay now where is this area you saw Spike?" Sein asks her friend.
"Follow me" Spike tells as he runs ahead with the other two following.
Spike then used his wall jump and reached the top Ori and sein following after, they then came upon a large statue.
"This is what i saw" Spike explains as they look at it.

"They found the home, Of the child who embraced our light" we then see the memories of Naru and her father holding each other lovingly like a lovely family

"This looks a bit like my mother Naru" Ori says as she observes the statue
"Maybe this is where she lived" Spike suggests.
"This is a great find spike! I remember them! Many years ago when the Spirit tree was just a sprout, Naru, the young one looked after us whenever she could.
"So my mom knew about the spirit tree, and looked over the Spirit guardians" Ori asks
"She must've been a really kind soul to look after them" spike says with a smile with ori agreeing with a sad smile
"Yes, she really was" Ori agrees.

"We should see if there's anything interesting to find here." Sein declares.
"Yeah we should see where she grew up," Spike agrees and they all move deeper into the cave

9: The Black Root Burrows

Spike and Ori proceeded through the cave, they then stopped to see a dark pit which was apparently they're only way down.

"It looks really dark down there..." Ori said scared.
"Don't worry, I'll be right beside you" Spike said as he held his hand out, Ori then took it and they both proceeded to jump down into the darkness.

Spike and Ori had then landed down next to a glowing mushroom.
"Man its almost pitch black down here, i can barely see anything" Ori said worried, Spike then saw a nearby torch and got an idea, he walked over to it carefully and picked it up, he then lit it up with his fire breath making a green fire glow to the area.

"This should be able to help us" Spike said as he walked back to Ori.
"Good idea Spike, We should be careful we don't know where any pits or monsters could be" Sein says with caution, they then proceeded through the cave spike and ori staying close to each other.

It was a bit difficult making they're way around the glowing mushrooms and occasional grass weren't enough to help with the fact that it was almost pitch black, even with the torch Spike and Ori often got surprised by a few monsters lurking down there but were able to fight them off, they then came upon some strange floating platforms and walls of light.

"Are these solid?" Spike asked Sein as he proceeded to feel it.
"Yes they were made to help those traverse tougher areas down here, it should help us move forward." Sein explained
"Then lets be careful when moving" Ori suggested as she jumped on one Spike then followed after.
They had to be careful when jumping on the platforms of light as some of them moved around the place, Spike and Ori stayed very close to each other in order not to get lost.
"Man how are we gonna find our way out of here?" Spike asked worried
"We'll find a way Spike" Sein tells him, they then came upon what looked like an alter with an orb of light in the middle.
"Oh! This is a piece of light from the Spirit Tree! It was a gift from our kind! It was given to Naru as thanks for standing by our side" Sein tells them.
"You think we can use this to help get around here" Ori asks
"Yes, there should be a shrine that will help light up the area we should find it in order to get around" sein suggests, Spike and Ori both agree to it, Spike picks up the piece and they try to find the shrine.

With the piece of light they found they were able to help make walls of light in they're way disappear and solidify into platforms for them to jump across, Spike had to be extra careful as the light as preventing him from doing any fighting as his hands were full.
"Wow, to think magic like this exists here and not in Equestria! Celestia would be very impressed" Spike says with a smile.
"Who is this " Celestia" you speak off Spike?" Ori asks her friend.
"She's the princess of the Sun, she and her sister, Luna both have the power to Rise and Set both the Sun and Moon, they are both thousands of years old and have been doing this for over a millennia" Spike explained.
"Wow! She sounds really powerful!" Ori said surprised.
"She really is, I'm glad to have had her as an aunt of sorts because Twilight my mother figure, was her student, she learned everything from her and always did her best to make her happy" Spike says with a smile.

"The Spirit tree actually knew Celestia and even met her a few times before" Sein adds in.
"Really? when did that happen" Spike asks surprised with Ori wanting to know as well.
"It was centuries ago, Celestia had come to visit to meet the Spirit tree as he's the source of the worlds life" Sein begins to explain.
"Every couple centuries or so she would come to visit once or twice in order to help keep him strong, she would often use her magic to strengthen his light as thanks for keeping the forest and world safe, because without him the world would fall into decay, it's why its important we have to save Nibel in order to save the world, because it might reach Equestria after some time" Sein says the last part worried.
"Don't worry we'll save this forest no matter what" Spike assures her with Ori agreeing as well.
"He's right, the spirit tree must keep its light" Ori adds in as they continue on.
They soon finally come upon the shrine which has a stature that looked like the one that they saw before they entered.
"Finally! My arms were getting a little tired" Spike says as he puts the light on the shrine.

The statue then proceeds to rise and the tablet spike placed the light on, the light then proceeds to glow brightly until it emits a shockwave of light and the entire area is then lit up letting them finally see clearly.
"It worked!" Spike and Ori both shout happily.
"Yes! Even though our light had grown weak in this haze, it lifted the darkness that held claim of this place, now we can move around faster and find our way out!" Sein says happily.
Spike and Ori then look ahead and see yet another ancestral tree they then towards it.
"Spike are you sure you should absorb this one as well?" We may have been lucky about the last one but this one might not be so much." Sein says worried.
"If it helps save the forest and my friends, I'm willing to put myself in the danger to keep them safe" Spike says determined as he steps forward.
"Eki was looking for Naru, but she was gone when he came, He was swift like the wind an d sprinted with haste, but surrounded by darkness he lost his way" Sein says sadly.
"He was looking for help" Ori says sadly.
"But was lost in the darkness and never found it" Spike says sad as well, they then proceeded to absorb the light, and landed with another power.

"This is the Dash power, using it will help you run at a much faster pace for a small time, it will help you avoid traps and make your way around faster" Sein explains as Spike and Ori tested it out, she and Spike dashed around the area with incredible speed and they were amazed.
"This is great! We'll be able to avoid those deadly traps much easier now" Ori says happily, but she and Sein hear spike groan as he falls on his knees again with his body glowing white.

"Spike! Not again!" Ori says as she and Sein rushes over to him, Spikes body glows for a little bit more and it then fades away, but now a few of Spike's scales are now white and they look at him and shock.
"I knew it was something we should be worried about" Ori says regretfully, but Spike then gets up.
"I'm fine i don't feel any pain now" Spike says trying to calm them down.
"Spike this is NOT fine, i think i know what's happening, if you continue to absorb more light, you might risk in becoming a Spirit like Ori entirely, nothing being left of your current form" Sein warns, Spike then looks at himself in shock, but he takes a deep breath and looks at them both.

"Like i said before, my life before anyone else's, if i become a spirit so be it, as long as it means my friends are safe that's all i need." spike says determined.
"Spike are you sure?" Ori asks worried for him.
"I'm positive, my friends may be worried, but i care about them more then anything, i don't want anything bad to happen to them, so if i become a Spirit, at least it will be in order to keep them safe" Spike says with confidence.
"Very well, but if you completely turn into a Spirit, we tried to warn you my friend." Sein says sadly.
"It will be fine, i promise, now lets find a way to the rest of Naru's home." Spike says as he runs ahead ori then looks at Sein.
"do you think he might actually become a Spirit like me?" Ori asks worried.
"I don't know, nothing like this has happened before, but we could be wrong, lets hope thing ends up with a positive note" Sein says worried as she and Ori follow after Spike.

10: Lost Grove And Naru's Home

Spike and Ori had proceeded to move downwards, they were able to use the Dash ability to quickly make they're way through the enemies and floors they encountered, they soon came upon a weak looking floor, they then used their ground smash ability and opened a path to the Lost Grove.

"This was my mother's home?" Ori asks as she looked around.
"It must've been. it looks like no one has been down here in years" Spike said as he looked around as well.
"There might be something interesting here, lets take a look around." Sein suggests and they all made their way deeper.

Spike and Ori needed to traverse through deadly traps, some of them fired green beams of energy that would kill them, spike and ori then carefully made they're way through a rotating platform that was firing the energy beams at four places at once, they used their dash power to avoid being hit then had to bash they're way upwards and dash above the device.
"Maybe the reason no ones come down here in years is because of these traps" Spike suggested.
"Could be." Ori agrees as they continued, they had to bash off an owl like monster to reach a higher ledge they then came upon a new room.

"Light and Dark in innocence born" the Spirit Tree echoes. We then see a memory of a young Naru playing with two other spirits one might've been from the Tree that they absorbed earlier playing with a ball of light, one of the spirits throw the light farther away and they run after it.

"And though she was lightless"

" A friendship still formed" The voice concludes, we see the young Naru missing to catch the ball and falls on the ground but laughing happily with the others, we then see what looks like Naru's father calling out for her worried, he then hears a voice and follows it.

"But the bond that was made"
"Would soon be dissolved "

The father is seen calling for her but then sees her on the ground and picks her up and takes her away looking at the spirits upset and the spirits call out for Naru.

"This must've been her home" Spike suggests as he observes the area.
"We should see what more there is" Sein says as they all agree to move farther.
Spike and ori go down a log that they crossed over and landed in front of yet ANOTHER Ancestral Tree.

"It wasn't even 10 minutes after we found the last one. Spike says a little annoyed.
"The spirits that must've lived here might have been close friends with Naru" Sein suggests
"That could be true, Spike are you sure about this one?" Ori asks once again.
"We may need this next power in order to leave, let's do this" Spike says a little upset as he steps forward and Ori does as well, they then proceed to absorb the light and it soon finishes.
"This power belonged to Sol, she could cast light in the dark, and had lived deep here in this grove now she rests in peace, this power will let you form a ball of light and throw it towards certain lanterns to open up areas or enemies to fire at a safer range" Sein explains.

Spike's body glows white once again and he groans in pain, and even more of his scales turn white even some of his green spine turns white.
"This... feels... weird" Spike says weakly before he soon recovers and stands back up.
"Spike remember my warning, absorb to much light and you could become a spirit forever" Sein reminds him with worry.
"you don't have to absorb the light, you could just leave it to me" Ori suggests.
"I've gone to far now, i have to keep going" Spike says determined.
"Spike please..." Ori says worried for her friend
"I'll be fine, i promise" Spike assures her and she sighs in disappointment as she doesn't want Spike to fully become a Spirit.
"Okay.. just be careful" Ori warns. Spike merely rubs her head.
"I will, i promise" Spike says with a smile and they continue on.

With they're new power they were able to the light burst to light far away lanterns an open the way out, the traps they had to go through were off now as well. they lit some more torches and opened a way back to the entrance, they lit a torch that unlocked a door that let downwards and when they came down they stumbled upon a beautiful grove that had gorgeous coves and looked almost like a perfect place to live.

"This is beautiful" Spike says in awe.
"It really is" Ori agrees and they move forward.

They had to make they're way around some more monsters and found a lever underneath a log once they pulled it they heard a door open nearby, after using their dash to make they're way to the other door as they had to stand on a tablet for it to open, they see a door to a cave opened that they saw was previously closed, they then walk in and see what looks like a bed room.

"What is this place?" Spike asks
"This may have been where Naru lived" Sein suggests.
"Mom..." Ori says with a few tears.

We then see a memory of a young Naru playing with her father, we see them hug as they were a happy family and they laugh in happiness. We see them making drawings on the wall, her helping him cooking, and Naru crafting a statue of him out of her passion she looks at her father wondering if it looks good and he nods thinking it does, we then see Naru cleaning the place with her father on the bed looking pretty weak he then calls out to her asking to go get some food, but the next memory we see has Naru's father near the wall...not moving. We see Naru come in with some food but notices him and sees somethings wrong, she goes to him and tries to wake him up... but he doesn't, Naru then hugs him close to her and cry's heavily, she had lost her father like Ori lost her.

"After his passing, she left, and never returned" The memory of Naru is seen walking away looking back one more time before leaving depressed.

"She must have left after her father passed on...." Spike says with a few tears with Ori crying a little as well.
"Though they have gone from our forest, there is no time to grieve, Remember those who have passed on and they will forever live on" Sein says sadly.
"that's poetry Sein" Spike says as he wipes the tears from his eyes.
"Let's get going to the Misty woods, we should have an easier time with the new ability's we have" Ori suggests, they all agree and head back out of the grove.

The way back was a really big back track they had to make they're way through the Thornfelt Swamp and Hollow grove and Spirits caverns, it took a couple hours to do so, but with their new powers they were able to find more energy and life cells to make them stronger. They soon came upon a weak wall near the Spirit tree and after bursting it down they came upon the Valley Of The Wind. They climbed a great distance up in order to not be seen by Kuro, they soon are near the entrance of the Misty woods, but Spike quickly pulled Ori back as soon as he saw something that terrified him.

Kuro is seen near the entrance watching and waiting for their presence as she screeches in anger, Spike backs up more in fear and begins to hyperventilate, he starts breathing fast and he looks completely terrified.
"Spike are you okay?!" Sein and Ori both ask.

Spike then begins to have the same visions as before even more so with the more spirits light he's absorbed, Spike looks even more scared seeing the visions of Kuro killing the Spirits, but he starts to close his eyes as they aren't real, he remembers the other things he's done and thinks about his friends, he looks back on his life and remember the dangerous stuff he's done. From the Canterlot wedding incident with the changelings, Discord ,Nightmare Moon, and most recently King Sombra and Tirek, Spike remembers that he pushed through them with his friends but he never directly had help with much outside of King Sombra, now he's doing something without them and decides its his time for him to shine and make them proud. he then starts to calm down and breath normally again coming to the conclusion that this is something just as dangerous and that if he pushed through them he can push through this.

"I'm fine now. Spike says as he finally calms down.
"What was that?" Ori asks worried.
"I've... been having visions" Spike explains
"What kind of visions?" Sein asks
"memories of moments of the spirits we've absorbed, the moment they had right before Kuro killed them" Spike says sadly
"why didn't you tell us this" Ori asks a little upset.
"I... didn't want you to worry more then you already have, I'm sorry you two" Spike says sadly.
Ori puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Spike. it will be okay, I'll be here for you." Ori then hugs him once again and spike returns it.
"We'll make it through this Ori" Spike said determined.
"I know we will" Ori responds

They then separate and look at sein with determined looks
"How are we going to get pass her." Ori asks.
Sein then looks up and sees that there is a weak rock that looks like they can make tumble down on her.
"Up there that rock looks weak, we could have them tumble down on her" Sein suggests.
Ori and spike both agree and head upwards, they bash off some owl monsters and land on the rock, they then ground pound the rock making it fall, the rock then hits her and she flies off not before hitting a rock leaving two feathers behind and spike land near a spirit well amazed.

"That actually worked!" spike said shocked
they then see the two feathers she dropped and picked them up, they were bigger then both of them.
"These will able to help you glide and float down high ledges, this will help us reach the other side." Sein tells them.
Spike and Ori both end up jumping off the ledge and glide down and land right at the entrance of the Misty Woods

Hey guys another chapter today hope you liked it! I know some might be weirded out by the fast amount of trees Spike and Ori find, but a lot of them are really close to each other, you could find the last one and the other in the grove in ten minutes if you know where your going. I know i might be putting these chapters out a little to fast but i have free time and i know what to do, if these chapters are a little short I'm sorry but i want to make sure they're at a perfect pace, also sorry if it felt like spike conquering his fear of Kuro felt to fast, don't worry I'll be sure it comes back and he faces his fears in a more impactful way.
I'll be sure to make sure what chapters should be long and short.

11: The Misty Woods And Forlorn Ruins

"The haze of the Misty Woods deceived the minds of all.
Spike and Ori stood at the entrance of the woods.
"Let's stay close for this guys we don't know what may separate us" Spike warns, he and Ori hold hands and sein stays close to them and they enter.

"Those lost within were never found"

Spike and Ori were really surprised by this place, it felt like the terrain was shifting with each step they took.
"Stay close guys" Spike says once again and they continue to move in.
they had fight through some more monsters and stay together not wanting to risk losing each other, they soon came upon a shrine or alter of sorts with a ton of mist coming out of it.
"The Shrouded Lantern, this mysterious haze bellows out of its stem. If we find a way to light it the path might clear up once again!" Sein explains.
"Some direction is better then none, lets try to find the light" Spike says and they continue deeper.

They occasionally had to deal with more monsters that lurked there but spike seemed stronger then before because of the light, he and Ori had to bash through green beams that flew under some trees as it was their only way through, the terrain looked like it kept moving around them it was nauseating.
"I feel like I'm going to be sick" Ori says holding her stomach with one hand.
"Same hear" Spike says with a sick look as they continue on.
They then had to propel themselves upwards using the bash by redirecting enemy projectiles that were spat at them, the forest kept shifting more and more. They came near what looked like a dead end with a door fragment in the middle.
"Another fragment another door" Spike says as he and Ori pick it up, but as soon as they pick it up a bright blue light appears for a second, they then see the road they went down is different.
"This isn't right you two, be careful" Sein says with caution.

They then had to glide down some tunnels that had spikes over the place they only barely avoided them until they landed on the ground and saw another fragment and once they picked it up like before the blue light appears once again and a new path opened behind them.
"this is so weird, how does this mist even work" Spike asks confused as they continue even more.

"They were lost in the woods" The spirit tree echoes,

"Great how are we gonna get out of here, our path out of here is gone" Spike asks worried.
after he asks that they see Sein fly down towards a piece of light and their eyes widen in relief.
"Astu's torch! it was lost in this place. if we carry it to the shrouded lantern it might show is the way, there's another door it looks like we need 2 more to open them." Sein explains.
"Let's be careful" Ori warns and they stay close together. The blue light flashes once again and they see the way they just went had changed once again.
"This is getting ridiculous" Spike says annoyed as they continued onwards. they glided through what looked like illusions and had to glide down more spiked walls and floors only barely avoiding them, they then came upon another Ancestral tree in the woods.
"This one must've passed one from being lost..." spike says looking down depressed Ori as well.
"Tatsu used to climb mountains high atop Sorrows past, When her brothers torch faded she lost her way..." sein says sadly, they once again absorb the light.
"This is the wall climbing ability it will help you climb walls much faster then before." Sein explains

Spike groans in pain and his body glows white once more, this time he gets sick and pukes out a white substance disgusting both of them.
"Spike!" Ori shouts, spikes body glows more and it soon stops, now his whole tail and even more of his spine has become white and even some of his right shoulder.
"This is tougher then i thought it would be." spike says weakly and he gets up once more.
"It's not to late spike! you still have a chance..." Sein warns once again.
"It is to late for me now... the best i can do is use the light to save everyone" Spike says weakly.
" Spike... Ori says sadly, but spike merely rubs her head tickling her a little.
"Everything will be okay, I promise" Spike says with a smile, they then move into the woods even more.

Spike and Ori had continued farther having to avoid more spikes and finding more fragments, the terrain kept shifting
and they just held each others hands as they moved on, they eventually found all of the fragments and were at the door where the torch was, they then opened it and the torch stood in front of them.
"Great! Lets get back to the shrine!" Spike tells as he picks it up
The blue light flashes once more and their way forward changes, they had to quickly move through a tree while avoiding a beams of light that were shot at them, Ori and Sein protected spike as he was carrying the torch as they made their way back, thankfully though they finally did.

"Thank Celestia.." spike says gratefully and he puts the torch on the shrine. the shrine begins to rise as green torches light up in the background and the area becomes much more focused until the terrain stops shifting much to they're relief.
"Thank goodness that's over with" Ori says with relief. after the mist clears up an object comes out of the statue and lands in front of them
"Ori, Spike the key to the Forlorn ruins, the Gummon seal has been revealed!" Sein says happily.
"this will help us get into the ruins?" Ori asks.
"Yes, and with the mist cleared we should be able to leave now!" Sein explains.
"The Elements of winds is deep with in the Forlorn Ruins, south of this place. its not too far from here, I can show you the way" Sein finishes.
The image of Nibel appears once again in their heads and a light shines near an icy mountain like area, just directly below where they were.
"Great i was getting a little tired of this place, lets go" Spike says as he and ori pick up the torch and leave, they then proceed to make their way there, they had to go deeper down the area until they ended up near an icy area, Spike begins to shiver.
"Man its freezing! Hope restoring the elements of winds helps warn this place up." Spike says as he rubs himself trying to warm up. They fight their way through even more enemies and Spike is able to melt icy walls that block their paths with his fire breath,

"Once lush and green now covered in ice, those who didn't escape paid with their lives" The voice says sadly.
they soon finally arrive at the entrance
"Finally, you ready for this?" Spike asks ori.
"Yes i am but are you?" Ori asks worried for her friend as the light still covers most of his body.
"Of course let's go!" Spike says as he inserts the key into the door, the door then shifts and opens after years of being closed, they then enter the ruins Gumo however had followed them and saw the place they had entered.

The Forlorn Ruins.

Spike and Ori look around and see frozen bodies of more of Gumo's kind.
"Oh my..." Ori says horrified
"What happened to them?" Spike looks down at one depressed.
"The Forlorn Ruins, this is Where the Gumon lived, They built miraculous structures and fused them with the light of the spirit tree which helped keep them safe" Ori explains, she then looks down at the dead bodies.
"Oh no... These Gumon were frozen unable to escape! Without the elements of winds with its light their ruins must have become their grave" Sein says sadly.
"We won't let their lives be lost for nothing". Spike says determined ori nodding in agreement, they then jumped across a few platforms to find a bright warm light.
"The Gumons were amazing inventors they were able to build this device to Store a light of the spirit tree within with this light vessel!" Sein explains.
"We must find the source of the light in order to restore the winds right" Ori asks.
"Yes we must be careful though there's a lot of stuff that looks ready to fall" Sein warns.

Ori then picks up the light and she and spike carefully move around with it, they throw some balls of light in order to bash to a higher area. She and Spike then carefully maneuver some gravity puzzles, it felt like moving left but they were still moving right it was so weird. They found more door fragments which looked like they could be reached through more gravity challenges, but Spike just threw a ball of light and bashed off it and was able to grab it.

"That... felt like cheating" sein says sadly.
"A little unfair too." Ori agrees
"Don't hate the player, hate the game guys" spike says with a smug look and they continue forward. They had to redirect the way they fall with gravity blocks that changed their direction of fall and it helped them get higher because of that they were able to land on the ceiling with the light vessel keeping them on it.
"this feels like something out of science fiction, Twilight would've loved to meet these guys" Spike says with a smile.
They continue forward and to their surprise they find another Spirit Well.
They temporarily rest and restore themselves they then continue forward.

They then use the gravity blocks some more and they avoid deadly spikes of ice and beams of fire that could kill them both, they found all the door fragments once more, they then find another map stone and use a fragment they found and the rest of the place is revealed to them, they use the fragments and once again open the door, meanwhile Gumo sees the door opened and has entered the ruins. Spike and Ori see where they need to place the light vessel and a bridge forms above them.
"They really were amazing inventors" Spike says in awe.
"the shrine must have powered all they had built, and look what it did!" Sein says happily, Gumo had just entered and sees the dead bodies of his kind.
"My... Brothers." Gumo says sadly as he places his hand on one of them.

We cut back to Spike and Ori and a door had opened up allowing them to move deeper in.
Spike and Ori then proceed through the door and sees another Gumon frozen, Sein then flies to see it closer.
" I wonder if Gumo knows their fate, i hope he can forgive us that we live and they are gone..." Sein says sadly
"I hope he does to..." Ori says sadly and Spike nodding in agreement.
"I wish i could've been here to help them" Spike says as he closes his eyes in remorse.

They then move ahead once again, they then climb a ledge directly above them, and it finally led them to where they needed to reach to restore the winds.
"This must be it..." Spike says astonished in what he was seeing.
"It must be" Ori says looking amazed as well, Sein then flies up to it.
" The Element of winds lies before us, stored in the heart of this place" Sein begins to explain, Gumo had just entered the room and he looks confused on what this place is.
"These ruins are all that is left of the Gumon, reminding us of their fate. Losing the ones that he loved, Gumo is the last of his kind" Sein says sadly the others looking depressed as well.

"Ori, Spike, we shall bring back the light! For Nibel and the Memory of the Gumo! Let us restore the Element Of Winds! " Sein declares as she moves to restore the light. She then glows brightly and spike and ori cover their eyes as she bursts and restores it, The floating stones around them began to turn around and the ice melts with drafts of wind now flowing.

"Moved by their words, he decided to act" Gumo is then seen near the shrine and rips out the light vessel, the place then begins to collapse and he makes his escape.
"This place is coming down! We need to get out of here now!" Sein tells them.

They use Kuro's feathers to glide up the updrafts, they avoid spikes of ice that fall down and used more updrafts that kept appearing.
"This is more dangerous then the Ginso tree!" Spike shouts scarred
"If we could escape that we can escape this!" Ori shouts determined
They then had to break down a large piece of the ground by using a large ice pillar that was directly above them, they move down and glide upwards once again, they see a large rock with spikes of ice below it fly right above them, they glide upwards and avoid the rock as it falls back down only barely avoiding it, more winds then burst out of the ground and land on a place that looks strange.

" This looks like a bird's nest" Spike says as he looks around, he and ori then see one egg in the middle and then place their hands on it, the egg begins to glow and they see a vision.

We cut to many years ago, Kuro is seen flying towards the mountain with little owlets in the nest, she then gives one of the owlets some food after she had caught it, she then rubs them lovingly before flying off to get more food. She grabs another worm for them to eat, we then see the owlets out of their nest and see them looking at something. The spirit tree is seen off in the distance and it begins to shine light that moves closer and closer to them, they try to go further and further back but soon are in a corner and the light then gets even closer, Kuro tries to save them but when she arrives she was too late.. they were gone only one egg remains... Kuro then places her head on one of her children and coos sadly, she then looks at the spirit tree and her eyes begin to turn white in anger she then becomes furious and flies towards the spirit Tree eyes flaring with anger, we then see the events happen once more and we cut back to real time.

"Ori and Spike learned in how they perished through our light, all along she was simply protecting her last child"

Spike and Ori are in complete shock of what they saw, Spike was crying heavily and Ori holds her hand over her mouth and is crying deeply as well.
"She failed too..." Ori says sadly.
"She was only mad because she had lost her children that night" Spike says still crying

Kuro then flies towards them and lands in front of them glaring in rage. Ori and Spike back off and run, they jump off the high ledge and through the clouds and Kuro is flying down after them.

Spike and Ori land near the entrance of the ruins again.
"We need to be careful and get out of here!" Spike says scarred, just then Kuro lands in the background and spike and Ori hide behind a nearby rock.
"We need to make sure she doesn't see us" Ori says with fear and they both try to escape.
Spike and Ori had to duck underneath some water, they had to redirect an enemy projectile towards a weak tree branch, they then had to redirect an enemy and explode near a green wall, they finally ducked under a log and were able to barely escape with a large rock sealing off their way in.
"That was... way too close" spike says with heavy breaths as he gets up.

"We barely escaped from her clutches this time, it is clear now why she hunts us, Kuro is simply protecting her child!" Sein says as she realized what had happened.
"all this time she was only trying to be a mother..." Ori says sadly.
"I know, but if we don't restore this last element the entire forest will burn and the egg will be lost"
"What?!" Spike and ori both shout surprised.
"If we don't restore the element of Warmth inside mount Horu the entire mountain will erupt and the entire land will burn." Sein says with fear.
As she finishes it the ground begins to shake and they see the mountain has started to bring heavy smoke and fire.
"She could lose her last child completely..." Spike says horrified.
"The Sunstone we seek is high atop Sorrows Past, we can ride the winds to reach it! If we don't all of Nibel will be lost, we must hurry!" Sein says with fear, Spike and Ori look at each other and nod.
"Lets save that child and this forest" Spike says seriously,
"Lets go!" Ori shouts determined, Spike, Ori and Sein all make their way towards Sorrows Pass to save the forest and Kuro's last child.

Hey guys extra long chapter today! I'm almost finished with the story as the mountain is the last place they need to go. Who else had cried when they saw Kuro's backstory? I know i did the first time i played this its so sad... I hope you enjoyed this chapter only a few more to go! I will do a sequel story eventually don't you worry! Stay tuned and see you next time!

12: Sorrow Pass, Mount Horu, And Ending

Spike and Ori had to quickly make their way to the top of Sorrow pass as they could see fire starting to happen, they had made their way back to the top of the place where they dropped the rock on Kuro.
"So we need to ride the winds to get higher?" Ori asked.
"Yes we must hurry the mountain is already starting to erupt" Sein says with worry as they could see fire and lava erupting and lightning coming out of the clouds, they used the feathers and glided high atop the forest, they could see the places they had been to previously.

"It feels like our journey passed by like winds on grass" Spike says as he looked over the area.
"I know, yet its only been a day or two since we started it." Ori says looking around as well
"We've seen so much in so little time" Spike says
"Yet we explored all of it like it was only the beginning of something grander..." Ori continues
"Whatever adventure awaits us next, I'll be beside you Ori" Spike tells her with a smile.
"Same here Spike" Ori responds with a smile too.
They then glided towards the top until they finally reached Sorrow Pass.

"This place feels like a maze" Spike says as he observes the area.
They see a door that needed energy cells to open, luckily they had more then enough and the door opened, they had to bash of more owl monsters and even some falling rocks, they reached the top of a higher area and found a map stone fragment, they looked down and saw a weak floor. They both slammed on the ground and luckily the Map Stone itself was right there, they inserted the fragment and got the view of the area.
"That may have been the easiest one to find" Sein says with a little disappointment.
"your right about that." Spike and Ori both say at once, they then continue higher.

They had to find more door fragments again, but luckily they weren't far from each other Spike had found the ones in high places while Ori found the ones that were low, they redirected an enemy into a weak wall and were able to bring it down, the door they needed to find was luckily just down the ledge and they were able to open it. they then found more weak floors and opened them up revealing faster ways back. They then glided up more updrafts and found 4 more door fragments which annoyed them as it was getting repetitive, they then redirected a large rock up the updrafts to reach a beam of fire that they had to move through the another door that needed the fragments and pushed it till it was completely blocked.
"Those last two doors felt like rehashing" Spike says annoyed with Ori and Sein agreeing and they continue once again.
They redirected two more rocks to block the paths of more beams of energy to continue they then use their ground pound in order to open up the way upwards by having to smash down on a blocked path which let the updrafts flow higher.

They then found more fragments yet another door, 3 doors in less then 10 minutes which annoyed them even more, eventually though they found the door and opened it.
"If there's another one of these doors i swear imp gonna burn them to the ground" Spike says frustrated.
They then continued on, they smashed down more weak floors and bashed off more lanterns before they came across one more Ancestral tree.
"I hope this is the last one" Spike says praying there's no more , with Ori nodding as well.
"This spirit, another sacrifice for Nibel, Nir flew through the air, she soared through the sky , her world knew no bounds until the forest turned blind." Sein says sadly they looked down sadly as well, they then absorb the light once more hopefully for the last time and land on the ground with a new power.
"This is the Charge Jump, when on the ground or walls you can charge up energy around you and go spiraling forwards with a wave of energy" Sein explains.

Spike groans in pain once again this time in agony as he falls on the ground and his body glows white even more.
"Spike!!" Ori and Sein both shout as they come to help him, more of Spike's body turns white, this time his entire green spine and underbelly becomes white as well as his right arm completely.
"Why... does... it... hurt... so...much?!" Spike says in pain, the glow fades away once more and spike looks at his right arm in horror, he also notices that in between his scales a blue glow can be seen.
" There really is no turning back now..." Spike says sadly.
"Spike... I'm so sorry..." Ori and Sein both say with regret.
"Spike... I wish i could help stop this... but i don't know anything that can help stop this, it will continue to spread until your body entirely becomes white." Sein says sadly as Spike looks down in sadness.
"we're so close now... we can't give up, we can make this right" Spike says with confidence.
"Spike.." Ori says regretfully as she wished she could've stopped this
" We... can't let this stop us we're so close, we need to keep going!" Spike says seriously as he gets up.
"As much as it pains me, he's right we can't stop now or all or Nibel is doomed" Sein says sadly.
"We're almost at the top let's hurry!" Ori suggests and they all start to climb more.

With their new power Spike and Ori made short work of the obstacles in their path as they were able to break through them
they were able to break one more blocked path that stopped them from reaching the top, they glide up the drafts once more until they push through the smoky clouds and finally reach the top, They both see the entire forest as well as a beautiful view of the clouds, they then see the sunstone right in front of them.
"Finally" spike says thankfully as they come closer to it and sein observes it.
"No wonder Kuro tends to avoid this place, the Sunstone still radiates the light that she fears." Sein says looking at the light, Spike and Ori then walk even closer and the sunstone then lands right in front of them.
"It's beautiful... Spike says as he looks at it in awe.

We cut back to Ori's old home, Naru's dead body is seen lying on the ground, Gumo then comes over her holding the Light vessel.
"Let the light give you life once more..." Gumo says as he uses the light to bring her back to life, Naru then opens her eyes once more and looks at him confused.

"Their journey inspired even he who had doubt."

"I'm... alive?" Naru asks as she looks at Gumo
"I used the light to bring you back" Gumo says with a smile
"Where's my child Ori?" Naru asks worried
"She's with a friend, i know where they went, let me help you." Gumo answers as he helps her up.
"Who?" Naru asks confused.
"Follow me." Gumo tells as he helps her out of the cave, we then see them with a large view of the forest, Gumo then points at the mountain.

"Gumo had found a place to belong"

"I saw that their gonna be heading there... it's to dangerous for them." Gumo says with worried.
"No... my child, i can't let lose her" Naru says worried as she then heads down the ledge with Gumo following after
"Who is this friend Ori made" Naru asks
"Someone who helped keep her safe, but i noticed the light starting to cover more of his body, as there wasn't any the first time i saw him, he looks to be just as young as Ori " Gumo explains with worry.
"He could be in just as much danger as her" I have to help them" Naru says with worry as they continued for the mountain.

"With the Sunstone we can now pass through Mount Horu's gates!" Sein explains, as she finishes the ground shakes more violently then before almost knocking them off their feet scarring them.
"Mount Horu is close to spewing fire, there is no time to lose!" Sein says with worry
"We have go lets hurry!" Spike says with worry as he and Ori jump down the ledge.

They had to be quick as they used a spirit well to warp near the gates of the mountain as they found one earlier, Spike and Ori had to avoid extremely hot waters, while it looked like it couldn't harm spike because he's still a dragon, it could definitely kill Ori, they used their powers to avoid the fires on the ground and were finally at the gates of the mountain.
Spike continued to feel more of the light spread over his body as his left shoulder was covered now and he moved even faster.

"Darkness brought them to this forsaken place"

" At the gates a tough decision was made."

"This is it the last place, you ready for this?" Spike asks Ori as they stand at the gates
"Yes, are you?" Ori asks her friend.
"Lets do this..." Spike says as they put the stone in the gates and they open the ways into the mountain, they hold their hands as they enter.
"Nibel's source of warmth, all its glory burned, lets be careful many who have entered have never returned." Sein warns as they continue.

Spike and Ori find themselves in a huge area, lava is spewing out from almost every direction.
"The element of warmth is close. but i have never seen the mountain this way, we have come so far, we cant give up now , we must enter the fay" sein says as they begin to explore.

The mountain was perilous, it was like it was testing everything they had learned to this point, they had to climb to the top and enter more and more rooms to stop lava from blocking the places they needed to go. they had to enter like seven different rooms in order to, the last one with 2 symbols on it they had to escape a lava flow and ground slam on the ground
in order to lower the amount of lava flooding over the floor, Naru and Gumo meanwhile were hurrying towards the mountain Naru got separated from a bridge collapse, Gumo had to find another way, Naru continued forward as she wanted to just see her child again.

"This place is like the ultimate test" Ori says as she was feeling tired.
"Were almost done here one more room to go!" Spike says as he continues forward starting to struggle from even moving, even more of his body had become white, barely any purple or green had been left, even his green fire breath had become white.

They had to fight through one more gauntlet of lava monsters before the ground below opened up, when they entered a door that looked like it had a circle on it, they entered a room with smoke being spewed out in all directions, they had to climb towards the top and finally made their way towards the element of Warmth.
" We actually made it!" Ori says happily.
"I knew we would..." Spike says weakly as he took heavy breathes.
"The element of warmth is in our grasp! with the elements restored ,we can finally undo the effects she had caused!" Sein says as she flies towards the element, she glows brightly and the entire element becomes blue, the smoke then stops spewing out as the light finally saves it.
"We did it!" Ori says as she hugs spike.
"We really did.." Spike says as he hugs her back, but their victory is soon interrupted as they hear a screech in the background and they turn pale as they know who it was.
"Kuro..." Spike says with fear as they see her fly towards them.

Kuro then lands on the element and screeches at them in rage.
"Run!!" Spike shouts as they make their way towards a nearby cave.
This last escape was extremely tough, they had to use every skill they had in order to escape her, she almost had them multiple times, they bashed off enemy projectiles, lanterns, charge jumped through broken walls, and barely avoided her by diving into the water, fire all the while continues to spread forward, they then had to bash off more falling rocks and land on the top of a tree barely avoiding a fire explosion and they fall to the ground.
"Spike!" Ori shouts
"Ori!" Spike shouts back as they continue to fall and sein follows them.

"She left them to burn, thought she vanquished my light"

Ori and Spike's body's are on the ground unconscious and Sein tries to wake them up.
"ORI! SPIKE!! PLEASE GET UP!!" Sein shouts as she sees the spirit tree in the distance.
"The Sprit Tree, so close... He's our only hope left!
Ori and Spike then wake up, Spike tries to get up but the light has made him to weak to move.
"Spike!" Ori shouts as she helps him up, they then make their way to Sein as she's just a little farther ahead.
"The Sprit tree's near, there's one more step to take, Nibel will live once again.
Spike then weakly holds on to ori as they both use their feathers to fly towards the tree, but Kuro then flies in and ,grabs them, she then squeezes them hard and throws them to the ground holding Sein all the while.

"Spike..." Ori says sadly.
"Ori..." Spike says weakly.

Naru then calls out for Ori worried she then sees them in the distance and runs over to them, she then sees Spike and Ori on the ground.
"Ori my sweet child..." Naru says sadly as she picks them up holding them close. Kuro looks at them and remembers something, she sees how this is exactly as she lost her children, Spike then opens his eyes again.
"Naru... please put me down, i want to talk to her" Spike begs, Naru is shocked and hesitant to do so but she puts spike down and holds ori close, he then rubs her head and looks at her
"Keep her safe. please..." Spike asks as he weakly walks over to Kuro the memories of her killing the spirits flashing once again but he simply walks through them as they don't scare him.

"Kuro... i know your hurting, i know how you feel, you lost your family, as i was taken away from mine in order to save this place, like Ori lost hers..." spike says as he walks closer until she is right below her.
"But please listen.. if this forest burns not only will i lose my family, but you'll lose what's left of yours..." Spike says as he holds his left hand out, Kuro then looks at him confused.
"the light is something everyone needs, it won't just burn this forest, it will burn my home too... along with my family..." Spike says sadly.
Kuro looks at him and sees just how much he's struggling to talk to her, her white eyes then fade as she begins to cry.
"I... just don't want to lose...her" Kuro says sadly as she brings her head down.
"If the fire continues she won't make it... please do what we tried..." Spike says sadly as he puts his left hand on her head, soon a light begins to form in spikes arm and transfers over to her, her body then gets what looks like a barrier.
"Please... Save her... you may not have been able to before... but you can now," Spike says weakly as he used the last of his strength before the light takes over him.

Kuro then looks back at her nest and sees the fire is almost near, she then looks at spike once again.
"I will save her..." Kuro then takes sein and fly's off to the spirit tree.
"Thank you... Kuro..." Spike says gratefully as he falls down unconscious as the light finally convers him whole and his body begins to glow brighter.
Kuro then hurries over to the spirit tree and places Sein in the tree and it begins to glow brightly, but thanks to the barrier she was given the light doesn't harm her surprising her as she didn't expect this.
"He... saved me...." Kuro says surprised as she watches the forest finally return to life again, waters become clear, grass grows green, and mount Horu what was once fire and ash has become green and filled with life, the forest had been saved.
Kuro then flied back to see if they are okay, when she arrives she finds Ori, Gumo and Naru looking over Spike's body her eyes widen as she noticed its changed.

"What happened to him?" Kuro askes worried.
"The light was to much and covered him completely" Ori says sadly and looks up at her and Kuro looks down with regret.
"Ori... I'm so sorry for what i did..." Kuro says regretfully.
"No... I'm sorry... if it wasn't for me... you wouldn't have lost your children that night..." Ori says sadly as she rubs her head.
"We all just wanted our family's back" Naru says sadly.
"We've all lost so much... please let us not lose this one" Gumo says hopefully
They soon hear spike groan as he wakes up
"SPIKE!!" They all shout.

Spike then opens his eyes and looks up at Ori.
"Did... did we do it..." Spike asks
"We did... we really did!" Ori says happily as she helps spike up.
Spike then looks at himself and sees a nearby pond and looks over its reflection his eyes widen in what he saw.

His body had become entirely white, he still looked like he a dragon as he had scales and an underbelly there was a blue light in between his scales, but he had grown long ears like Ori's, as well as black eyes with white pupils, his tail had become like ori's as well.
"I really do look like a hybrid now" Spike says sadly as everyone walks to him.
"Spike... I'm so sorry..." Ori says sadly as she rubs his head.
"It's okay... i took this path and now i have to walk it." Spike says as he hugs her.
"Thank you Spike... for everything..." Gumo says as he comes closer.
"You made a huge sacrifice to save us all... we couldn't be more thankful for what you've done" Kuro says as she comes closer as well.
"no matter what happens.. you will always be apart of this family..." Naru says as they all hug each other, Kuro wraps her wings around them for warmth.
"Thank you... all of you..." Spike says with a smile.

We cut to see Naru, Gumo and Kuro were at Naru's home, Naru said that Kuro could come live with them, she was hesitant at first as she was still regretting for what she did but agreed as she brought her egg over to them and they made a nest around the place for safety.
Spike and Ori are seen sitting together near the spirit tree as it shines brightly.

"Ori... Thank you for everything..." Spike says as he holds her close.
"You think we will find your friends soon?" Ori asks worried as she holds his arm.
"I know we will, I'm sure they'll be proud to know what I've done, they might be surprised to see me in this "Spirit Dragon state as i call it" but I'll be able to explain everything to them, and they'll love to meet everyone here" Spike says with a smile.
"I love you Spike..." Ori says happily putting her head on his shoulder.
"I love you two Ori..." Spike says with a smile as he holds her closer, we then see a final shot of them together tails intertwining as they look at the trees with smiles.

We cut back to naru's cave, Naru leaves the place with a drawing of everyone being seen on a tablet, kuro's egg then begins to move before it starts to crack open...

Hey guys hoped you liked the ending! I know some might be divided on Kuro living but i wanted her to have a more happy ending, Spike and Ori are together now and it will help with the sequel story as well as the mane 6 coming to find him, it will be a bit tricky trying to fit into the next story but i'll think of something ,One more chapter with the mane 6 and the story is finished!! Stay tuned till the next and I'll see you later!

Epilogue: Coming To Find Spike

The mane 6, princesses and dragons had all continued to watch spike's journey, all of them had become more and more freaked out as they had seen spike become more and more consumed by the light,

"He's giving up his own dragon form... to save Nibel?" Celestia asked horrified.
"He will become consumed entirely..." Twilight says with fear as they continue to watch.

They then see Spike and Ori continue their journey, from them finding Naru's home, to the Forlorn Ruins, we then get to the Kuro's backstory... and after everyone saw it... they were in tears, even all of the dragons were crying, even Torch was too.

"She only was trying to..." Fluttershy said but couldn't finish
"She was just trying to protect her child" Torch and Twilight both say crying heavily.

we then finally reach the ending where all of them watch Spike walk up to Kuro with horrified faces.
"Spike..." They all say in sadness as they see him almost completely consumed by the light.
They see spike talk to Kuro and tell her that saving the forest will save her last child, they then see the barrier form around Kuro and looked confused.
"How did that happen" Luna asks shocked
"He must've transferred some magic in order to protect her," celesta says shocked, they then see Kuro hurry to the Spirit tree while spike falls to the ground and his whole body is consumed completely and they all look horrified.
"SPIKE!!!" They all shout horrified, we see Kuro redeem herself and and the forest return to its normal self and they all watch in awe.
"It's beautiful" Rainbow dash says as she sees the forest restored.
"It really is" Rarity says agreeing.

They all then see what spike looks like after fully consumed by the light and they all gasp in what they saw.
"He looks like a mix in between a dragon... and a Spirit guardian..." Torch says horrified with other dragons looking shocked as well.
they all see spike with his new family hug each other and all awe in cuteness, they all see Spike and Ori in front of the spirit tree holding each other closely and have tears once they say they love each other.
"After all they've been through... they deserve each other" Garble dragon says with a smile with the others agreeing as they now fully respect Spike for what he did, we then see the cave with Naru leaving it with a drawing of all of them on a carving, they all gasp in happiness as they see the egg start to open and everything fades to black and they find themselves back in the dragon lands.

"He was willing to put down his life in order to save us all..." Rainbow dash says crying.
"He saved the entire world with his friend while becoming corrupted" Applejack says sadly as well.
"We can't let him be without us, we need to go to Nibel and find him!" Twilight says determined.
"She's right, Spike should at least be able to see his family and they should give him they're love for what he's done" Torch said agreeing.
"I have an idea on how to reach the place but I'll need your help Celestia, Luna," Torch asks.
"How can we do that?" Luna asks.
"with our combined magic we can make a teleportation spell and warp all of you and some volunteers to Nibel to find him, I'll need you to prepare the spell and i can use the scepters location powers to warp you there instantly." torch explains
"Great idea, come on luna we should start finding a spell to warp us" Celestia tells her sister, Torch then looks up at the other dragons.

"I'm gonna need a few volunteers to help them find that hatchling, whoever wants to help please step up." torch tells them, to the mane 6's surprise Garble stepped up as well as someone else next to him, she was an orange dragoness with a bright orange underbelly, had looked like she had just grown wings, and had a bit of a purple spine.

"Garble?!" They all asked shocked.
"After what he did... he completely earned my respect, i don't just want to go to help find him... I want to apologize for what i did..." Garble says truly regretful.;
"Really?" Rainbow dash asks curiously
"Really..." Garble nods sadly
" And i won't let my brother go alone, wherever he goes I'll go." The dragoness says with a smile.
"Who are you?" Twilight asked her
"My names Smolder, and I'll be glad to help you all." Smolder says with a smile, Garble nods in agreement.
"Thank you, you two..." Twilight says with relief.

"Alright, lets go prepare, it will take some time to get ready, so you better go home and rest!" torch orders and he and celesta and luna go off.
"He's right we should go rest brother" Smolder tells him.
'right. I'm sorry for everything" Garble says looking back before they both flew off.
"You think he's really sorry?" Fluttershy asks
"It looks like he really does" twilight says with a smile.
"Alright lets go home and prepare it's gonna be a bit of a journey.." Twilight tells them as she prepares a spell and they all shout ready to get going. Twilight teleports everypony away and they all go to their homes, Twilight comes into spike's room and grabs a photo of him and her.
"Don't worry Spike... we'll find you soon.. I promise" Twilight says as she rubs the photo with a hoof, we then see a final shot of the night sky with another shooting star flying past.
