Equus goes to war against two entities and trains new soldiers to fight alongside them.
Flurry Heart has just been crowned the new ruler of the Crystal Empire after Cadence died from pneumonia. After giving her first decree, she is unaware of what is about to come and who she will end up meeting.
It had been one week since Princess Cadence died from pneumonia. It was time for her daughter, Flurry Heart, to take her place on the throne. The trumpets blared as Flurry walked proudly up the aisle in the gathering hall in Canterlot. Her Aunt Twilight’s dragon, Spike, was waiting with the crown held in his claws. When Flurry reached the front of the aisle and stepped up, Spike placed the crown in her mane. Flurry turned to face the audience and flared out her wings. Fireworks went off as the celebration commenced, and the Wonderbolts performed an aerial show for everyone who attended that night.
Flurry gave her first decree the next day.
“It is time for Equestria to be brought into the 21st Century. We will start building motorized vehicles and training soldiers to use advanced weaponry for combat and defense.”
Over the course of the next 12 years, vehicles were built, tested, and mass-produced until a group of scientists made the choice to begin exploring the universe and chart the space around Equus. Queen Flurry Heart approved their plan and the scientists formed EASE, the Equestrian Agency of Space Exploration.
The first group of missions was called Pegasus and was geared towards testing equipment. The Cosmos program involved going to the moon to study its natural resources and eventually constructing a base on the surface. The third program, Astro, involved travelling further and exploring many more planets in the galaxy and learning how to travel long distances in short amounts of time. The first two missions had exquisite results and over 200 planets were charted. The crew members on the first mission learned quickly how to design engines that were capable of propulsion at speeds faster than light. Little did the third crew know that Equus was about to enter a period of war against a mysterious entity.
The crew aboard the E S S Harmony, Equestria’s largest starship, had just left the docking station and embarked on Astro 3. They were starting off by studying a supernova from a distance to understand how a star burned out and how stars were born in stellar nurseries. After documenting how some types of stars became black holes, they continued on until they reached a nebula that often released discharges of static electricity. Radioactive elements could be harvested from this nebula, but it was a dangerous procedure.
The nebula had been visited by the residents from the moon base in the past and it almost had nothing left to gather. As the crew aboard the Harmony gathered what was left, a bright light suddenly appeared out of nowhere and blinded them. The sun shield was deployed automatically and protected the crew members. Beams flew from this mass of light and began to damage parts of the ship and destroy the elements from the nebula that had just been harvested. Fearing that the crew’s life was in danger, the Captain sent a distress call directly to Flurry Heart.
“E S S Harmony to Canterlot. Do you copy?”
“This is Flurry Heart. Go ahead Captain Blitz.”
“We had just finished harvesting the elements from the nebula when a mass of light appeared out of nowhere. The elements from the nebula were destroyed and parts of the ship have been engulfed. It’s as if this mass of light is alive somehow. Hold on a second. CODE RED, Your Highness, we’re losing power. Our core has been knocked out. This thing might be coming towards… *static*.”
“Your Majesty, we’ve lost the signal.”, said Gallus.
Flurry was devastated by the loss of the crew. They were only halfway through their mission, and now they were dead. She issued a Priority One alert around the world for everyone to prepare for a large mass of light to appear in orbit. Shield generators were constructed to stop the light from penetrating Equus’ atmosphere and destroying the moon. It was only a matter of two weeks before the mass was picked up on radar by the moon base. The bright light could be seen all around the entire globe. It was as if the sun was shining everywhere.
When the light first appeared, the shield turned dark to prevent anyone from getting blinded. Flurry ordered mirrors to be set up in case any light from this entity managed to break through. Everyone was also required to wear sunglasses because even the shield could not filter all of the light.
Eventually, the entity itself managed to teleport through the shield and travelled to Canterlot. The Young Six tried to guard the doors to the throne room, but the light was too much for them and they were left blinded and dizzy. Upon entering the throne room, the entity revealed its actual form. It was a featureless figure with rainbow colored wings. Its body was a pure white color.
Flurry Heart was cross when the entity came into the throne room.
“WHO ARE YOU?”, she demanded with rage in her eyes.
The figure answered Flurry’s question with an echoey voice, which revealed that it was male in gender.
“My name is Galeem. I am the “Lord of Light”.”, answered the figure as he dropped the glow on his body.
“Why are you here?”, asked Flurry angrily.
Galeem explained that he sought to create a new world where darkness would not exist. He had been thwarted once and he decided to find a new universe to envelop in pure light.
“That’s rather selfish of you. Light and darkness allow for balance in the universe.”, Flurry hissed.
“Who cares about balance? Darkness can be depressing. Besides, how many times have you seen anyone who spends all time in the dark? Nine times out of ten, everyone is asleep when it’s dark.”, Galeem countered.
“I care about balance, and I won’t let you eliminate all of the darkness in our universe. You may use the door to leave the palace.” Flurry said sternly.
“Have it your way. I hereby declare war against you and anyone who follows you.”, Galeem said in an annoyed tone as turned around to leave.
He proceeded to storm out of the palace and then he flew into the sky, changing form as he did so. He became an orb of light that was surrounded by the rainbow colored bands that were his wings. He began creating soldiers to fight against everybody on Equus. Flurry knew it was time to defend the universe and started setting plans to create an army of her own.
After Galeem returned to space to assemble his army, Flurry Heart wasted no time to start assembling her own army. She assigned the Young Six to be over each branch of the army, which they named the “Harmony Fleet”. Over the course of six months, soldiers were trained, ships were built, and weapons were designed in order to neutralize Galeem’s forces. Eventually, the time had come to defend the universe from the Light Fleet. All of the soldiers in the Harmony Fleet boarded their respective command ships and launched into orbit. Flurry Heart built her own ship, which she named the Light of Hope. This ship had weapons from all six branches wrapped into one and served as the main command ship over the entire fleet.
“All leaders, report in.”, she called over her headset.
As Equus’ fleet began to charge at the Light Fleet, Galeem released his soldiers. Both fleets opened fire at the same time. Galeem was shocked by how well the Harmony Fleet was sticking together and their weapons were like nothing he had ever seen before. He was going against a fleet that was organized and knew how to engage in combat when faced with any type of enemy.
In the beginning, Equus had the upper hand. They drove Galeem’s forces back and came close to engaging his main ship. However, Galeem’s ability to crank out soldiers was something that the Harmony Fleet did not expect. Whenever coming close to the main ship, a defense squadron would emerge and drive them back.
After battling for two and a half hours, Galeem knew that he would have to use the same tactic he had used in the past. He called out to his soldiers and ordered them to switch from attack mode to capture mode. All of his forces acknowledged and condensed back at his ship. They were ready to end the battle right away and force Flurry Heart to surrender.
As Galeem’s soldiers condensed back together, Flurry had a vision of both Celestia and Twilight warning her that trouble was coming and that the shields had to go up. Realizing this, she called out to the fleet.
“All pilots, raise shields and take evasive action. Go to defense position. I don’t know what Galeem is planning, but it cannot be good. We mustn’t allow him to take our universe.”
Galeem saw what was going on and released his fury attack. This consisted of multiple beams of light which acted like guided missiles, chasing each and every ship in the Harmony Fleet. If a ship got hit by one of these beams, it would be vaporized and teleported into the prisoner hold of Galeem’s main ship, the Light Master. Most of the Harmony Fleet fought back, which raised their possibilities of being taken. Others tried to avoid the beams but they still got caught. Suddenly, One of Galeem’s top soldiers reported something that was not expected.
“Sir, Flurry Heart’s shield percentage is climbing. Our weaponry is having very little effect. Also, the main core of her ship is charging up.”
Just then, a call from Flurry herself came in.
“You may have taken the fleet that I spent six months training, but I am not done. I will get them back from you and the victory will not be yours to have.”
Galeem was not pleased to hear what Flurry had to say and took it as a threat. Boarding his personal ship, the Starstriker, he joined the battle and fired powerful beams to take out Flurry’s shields. His beams began drilling into the shields as her star drive reached maximum level. She fired the engines and shot through space at speeds faster than light. Galeem’s soldiers gave pursuit, but Flurry went so fast that she vanished completely. Galeem was enraged when he received word that Flurry was gone.
Flurry ended up going so fast that she pierced through the fabric of space itself. She found herself flying through what seemed to be a tunnel of flashing colors and her speeds were off the scale. She soon passed out from the massive amount of g-force.
When Flurry awoke, she could not see anything outside her ship’s cockpit, except for lights in the distance She looked at her ship’s status, and her heart sank, because most of her controls were fried. She was above ground on a planet, but her engines were glowing orange and had burst into flames. Looking at a GPS indicated that she was over an ocean, but she did not know where. To make matters worse, the star core was overheating and could explode if she had to make an emergency landing, which would kill her. Switching to emergency battery power, she jettisoned the star core and it splashed into the water. Most of her systems were dead and the exterior lights had melted. She switched to sonar in order to see. She also recorded a video log in case she was rescued and was unable to respond.
At a structure that consisted of a red hemisphere, and a black sphere with two smaller spheres for ears, Mickey Mouse and his friends, along with Minnie’s twin nieces, Millie and Melody, were stargazing outside. Minnie was using the telescope to look at the moon. Suddenly, Professor Ludwig Von Drake threw the front door open.
“GET INSIDE! HURRY!”, he yelled.
Mickey and his friends ran inside and Minnie tried to get the lift to take her back down. Unfortunately, the lift jammed and Minnie was trapped near the top of the large sphere.
“Professor, what’s going on?”, asked Mickey.
“I have spotted something coming towards us at a high speed. It could crash into the clubhouse.”, explained the Professor.
“The lift is jammed. I’m trapped out here.”, cried Minnie.
“DUCK AND COVER, MINNIE!”, yelled Von Drake.
Minnie leaned forward and covered her head with her hands.

In her cockpit, Flurry saw a collision alert come up. She saw the outline of the clubhouse, but her yoke was stuck. Pulling with all of her might, she yanked the yoke back and went into a steep climb. She managed to get between the smaller spheres, but her wings struck the spheres and were torn off. Her left wing hit what looked like a telescope. Unable to turn anymore, she glided helplessly over the woods and then spotted a lake. She unfastened her seatbelt and got into the escape capsule. The capsule was launched and the parachutes slowed her down until she splashed into the lake. After splashdown, four orange floats inflated and held her capsule on the surface in case the hatch was opened. What was left of her ship crashed in the forest and started a fire. Upon crashing into the structure, a piece of shrapnel from Flurry’s console exploding hit her in the head before she closed her helmet, which left her dizzy. She passed out two minutes after splashdown.

When Flurry’s ship impacted with the top of the clubhouse, her ship’s speed created a gust of wind that yanked Minnie out of the tram car that lifted her to the telescope. She screamed as she fell to the ground and landed on her face with a *THUD*. Luckily, she had landed in her flower garden, so she did not end up with a nosebleed. As she rolled over to stand up, everyone heard the sound of metal snapping.
“Aunt Minnie, LOOK OUT!”, shrieked Melody.
Mickey couldn’t watch and covered his eyes. The telescope had broken loose from its mount and was falling to the ground. Before Minnie had a chance to stand up, it landed hard on her lower right leg.
“YAAAAAAAH!”, she screamed in pain.
As she tried to sit up, tears welled up in her eyes and she began to cry in pain. Mickey and Goofy ran outside with Minnie’s nieces following close behind. As Mickey and Goofy tried to lift the telescope, Millie and Melody rushed over to try to pull Minnie out.
“Are you alright, Aunt Minnie?”, Millie asked.
“No girls, I think my leg’s broken.”, she choked out between sniffles.
Mickey and Goofy struggled with all of their might, but the telescope was too heavy and wouldn’t budge. Donald ran out to see if he could help.
“Get the car jack out of the garage. We can use that to lift the telescope.”, said Goofy.
Donald nodded his head and opened the garage door. After getting the jack and placing it under the end of the telescope, he started cranking it up while Goofy made sure it was not going to slip off. Mickey called 911 for an ambulance while firefighters attacked the fire from Flurry’s ship exploding.
Once the telescope was lifted enough, Millie and Melody grabbed Minnie’s arms and pulled her backwards until she was clear. After lowering the telescope back down, Mickey and Donald grabbed flashlights and followed the smoke trail until they reached the lake while the ambulance arrived to take Minnie to the hospital. Reaching the lake, Mickey spotted the orange floats on Flurry’s escape pod and he got into a rowboat. Joining Pete on the water, they attached towlines to the capsule and pulled it to the shore before working together to get it onto dry land. Peering through the hatch window, Donald saw what looked like a winged unicorn in a space suit. After opening the latches and depressurizing the capsule, they opened the hatch, unfastened the seatbelt, and pulled Flurry out. They opened her helmet and grabbed the video log DVD from within her hooves. After Mickey confirmed she was only unconscious, Donald called a second ambulance to take Flurry to the hospital. He and Mickey had taken note of her name tag and were ready to talk to her once she had woken up.
At the hospital, Flurry was taken to a private room and an oxygen mask was strapped over her muzzle. Minnie was taken to Radiology to have x-rays taken of her leg. Mickey requested that the hospital call them once Flurry had been discharged. Minnie’s leg fracture was serious, but not as bad as everybody feared. The x-ray revealed that her leg bones were cracked and needed to be straightened with a yank. Doctors said the fracture was not serious enough to necessitate admitting her. So, Minnie only had her leg splinted and was given crutches. At the clubhouse, she and everyone else watched Flurry’s video log to understand who Flurry Heart was and how she had arrived in their world. After handing Toodles the DVD, he put it in a player on the side of the Mousekedoer and a view of Flurry Heart in her ship’s cockpit appeared on screen.
“My name is Flurry Heart. I am the queen of the land of Equestria, one of many countries on the planet Equus. Six months ago, Equus was visited by a mysterious being named Galeem, the “Lord of Light”. He declared war against us because he planned to get rid of darkness and I refused. In order to defend Equus, I formed my own fleet and we engaged his soldiers in battle. My fleet was captured and I was the only one who escaped. During my escape, I passed out from g-force. I was in this world in the middle of the night when I regained consciousness. Most of my ship’s systems were out and I have to rely on sonar to see where I am going because my exterior lights are broken. If anyone is injured, I am terribly sorry.”
Mickey and his friends were floored by the recording. Nobody knew what to say.
“I can’t believe she is the only one who got away. The rest of her fleet was captured.”, Daisy finally said in a shocked voice.
Just then, the phone rang. Mickey walked over and picked it up.
“Hello.”
“Mickey, this is the hospital. Ms. Flurry Heart woke up three hours ago and we were able to take off the oxygen mask. We have checked her out and she is on her way to you now.”, said an orderly.
“Thank you much, we will expect her.”, Mickey replied before hanging up.
He told his friends what he was just told. They were all shocked. Ten minutes later, Flurry arrived at the front door and rang the bell. Mickey let her in and they shook hands. She was still wearing her space suit because it was given back after the nurses checked her out. After everyone had introduced themselves, Flurry turned to Minnie.
“I’m sorry that you broke your leg. If I hadn’t tried to avoid hitting the clubhouse, you would have been killed.”
Minnie forgave her and then Flurry began to explain what was going on.
“In order to defeat Galeem, I will need to form a fleet from as many citizens from this world as possible. However, this world is unknown to me. Is there any way you can help me out?”
“Don’t sweat it. We will help you find soldiers to help out in saving your world.”, replied Donald with confidence.
“Donald’s right; we know a lot of good individuals who would be willing to assist you.”, said Daisy.
Flurry acknowledged what she had been told and then she told Minnie something surprising.
“I can heal your leg in a flash. Hold still.”
Minnie did as Flurry requested and then Flurry held out her hoof towards her bandaged leg. Lighting her horn, Flurry whispered a few chosen words. Wisps of blue light flew from Flurry’s hoof towards Minnie and touched her leg. Minnie felt a tingling sensation and then her leg stopped feeling sore. As she started to get up, she held onto Mickey. As if a miracle had taken place, Minnie was able to stand without assistance.
“How did you do that?”, she asked Flurry out of curiosity.
“I used a healing spell.”, Flurry explained as she took off the splint.
Mickey decided that an advertisement in the news would be the easiest route to bring people together in order to form a fleet that would help Flurry fight Galeem. Flurry agreed and they worked together to make sure they covered everything that was needed for the article. After mailing the article out, Flurry told Millie and Melody that they were invited to help out as well. This excited the twins and Minnie said that when the time came to build ships, the twins would each have their own ship that would detach from hers. Millie and Melody agreed with their aunt’s decision. Daisy even invited her and Minnie’s best friend, Cuckoo Loca, to join the action as well. Professor Von Drake arrived at the door and explained that some pieces of Flurry’s ship were still usable and just needed to be repaired. Flurry pulled out a tracker and said that the signal it was showing indicated the location of her ship’s main power source.
The next morning, two helicopters were dispatched to retrieve the power core to Flurry Heart’s ship from the ocean. The pieces that were saved were taken to an aircraft hangar to be rebuilt from following the blueprints that Flurry had brought with her. As the Light of Hope was being rebuilt, several letters came in at the clubhouse.
These letters were from multiple applicants that had read the advertisement for soldiers to help Flurry defeat Galeem. Among them were Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Ariel, Eric, Lady, Tramp, Hercules, Belle, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Beast, Peter Pan, Tigger, Christopher Robin, Snow White, Aurora, Flora, Fauna, Merryweather, Jafar, Hades, Maleficent, Cruella, Captain Hook, and several other villains who had chosen to cast aside their evil deeds and fight for balance in the universe.
Flurry Heart wrote a single reply letter and used a spell to send it magically to all of the applicants.

I have read your application and have given it full approval. You are hereby accepted with full privileges to join the fleet that is being assembled to help me defeat Galeem and his forces. Flight training begins in two weeks and all ships will be customized to your own liking.

Flurry began looking at maps to determine the best area from which to launch rockets for assembling the flagship for the new fleet. Within four days, she finally located a large expanse in the middle of an uninhabited area on land, and a faraway spot in the ocean at which to construct a launchpad. An underground hangar was built on land for the main base and the launchpad in the ocean was formulated for shuttle launches. As the flagship was being built, the flight training started and everybody was briefed on the best plans of attack for taking down Galeem’s forces. Asking questions was not necessary and the personal ships were constructed quickly. The flagship’s construction was completed after seven months. Once the main base was complete, all personal ships were stowed on board in areas where each pilot could get to it safely and quickly.
Once the main base was ready for launch, all of the members got together and decided to call themselves the Disney Fleet. Thus, the base was christened the Disney Space Station (D.S.S.). Flurry had even shared the blueprints for a star core with everyone and all of the ships had one.
Mickey and his friends were chosen as the leaders. Pete, Clarabelle, Chip, and Dale were selected to work as signalers in the launch bay. In total, four shuttles were built. Each of these shuttles was designed to carry twelve soldiers. The procedure was such that a shuttle would return after each group of soldiers had boarded the D.S.S..
After confirming that all systems were go, the launch engines were fired and the D.S.S. lifted off from her hangar and slowly travelled higher and higher until she was in orbit around the globe.
After the D.S.S. was launched into space, everyone started boarding shuttles. Everyone was on board after three weeks-worth of constant launches. Combat training simulations were started and everyone got acclimated to their ships’ controls, squads learned how to form up, individuals learned which weapons to use in certain scenarios, and everyone was taught how to properly communicate with their comrades. Combat training was completed in two months and Mickey was contacted to let him and his friends know that everyone was ready. After getting word of this, he radioed Flurry Heart and relayed the message to her. Once Mickey and his friends had informed Flurry Heart that everyone was ready, they boarded their own shuttle. Once Toodles had plugged himself into the main console, the shuttle lifted off and headed for the D.S.S.. Flurry boarded her ship and took off for space at the same time. Once she was in position, she called to the Disney Fleet.
“Disney Fleet, this is Flurry Heart. This is what we have been training for over the last nine months. You may begin deployment when ready. It is time for the real deal. Set star drives to maximum warp and follow me. I have located the portal that brought me here from my own universe. According to my data, we have to be going extremely fast in order to traverse the portal successfully.”
The fleet radioed back and stated that they understood what she had told them all. Flurry took a deep breath and then charged up her star core as the fleet began deploying from the space station. She was about to return to her home universe and thwart Galeem’s plan to destroy darkness. The fleet called out to her once their star drives were charged and set to maximum.
The Disney Fleet was split up in four squadrons: Red, Green, Gray, and Blue. Flurry Heart was Gold Leader. As the fleet was deployed, she called out to them as the four squadrons formed up by color.
“All fighters, report in.”, she said.
“Red Leader, standing by.”, said Mickey.
“Gray Leader, standing by.”, said Donald.
“Green Leader, standing by.”, Goofy.
“Blue Leader, standing by.”, said Daisy.
“This is Red Two. The twins are ready for action.”, said Minnie.
Hearing all of the clarifications told Flurry that everyone was ready. She aimed herself in the direction of the portal and the fleet formed up behind her.
“Here we go. In 3, 2, 1, MARK!”, Flurry cried as she fired her engines.
Her ship zoomed in the direction of the portal and everyone else followed suit. Once they got close to the portal, a notification popped up on their displays.
*Approaching dimensional portal. Prepare for g-force. *
The ships passed through the portal’s membrane and instantly sped up. Some of the pilots were pulled back in their seats because the force was stronger than they expected. Eventually, they emerged near the asteroid belt in Equus’ solar system. They were pointed towards Equus when they emerged.
“Lock S-foils in attack position.”, said Flurry as she opened her wings.
“Copy, Gold Leader.”, replied all of the leaders as all of the fighters opened their wings.

On Galeem’s flagship…
“Sir, I have spotted Flurry Heart’s ship. She is emerging near the asteroid belt and has brought a ton of new pilots with her. These fighters are like nothing I’ve never seen before.”, reported one of the high commanders.
Galeem acknowledged what he was told and ordered his forces to prepare for battle.
Once Flurry heart saw Galeem’s forces beginning to form up, she called out to the Disney Fleet.
“Raise shields and prepare for enemy engagement.”
Everyone raised their shields to full capacity and accelerated to attack speed. Minnie’s nieces detached from her ship and everyone armed their weapons. Once they were close enough to Galeem, his forces started appearing on radar.
“OPEN FIRE!”, Mickey yelled over the radio.
Blasts flew from both fleets and struck each other, but Flurry and the Disney Fleet had the upper hand. Galeem’s forces did not all have the opportunity to put their shields up before they were hit. Their ships were destroyed and they perished in either the vacuum of space or in the explosions. Those that had put up their shields and started pursuing individual ships.
“Jasmine, you’ve got one on your tail. I’m coming to help you.”, said Aladdin as he chased after a fighter.
“Tigger, pull up!”, yelled Christopher Robin as Tigger shot down a fighter and flew through the blast.
Tigger was quick to avoid the hottest part of the blast.
“I got a little cooked, but I’m alright.”, he replied.
After an hour, the entire squadron from Galeem’s fleet had been taken out. Belle’s sensors indicated that there was another one coming. She relayed this to Flurry, who did not take the news lightly. In a fit of rage, she called out angrily to Galeem.
“OH NO YOU DON’T!”, she screamed.
Suddenly, Minnie radioed in. She was panicking.
“Gold Leader, I need your help. The twins have split off too far from me and have turned their radios off. I can’t contact them.”
Flurry widened her radar range and picked up the twins at a stationary position. A scan revealed that they were aiming quantum torpedoes at the Light Master’s main reactor. Flurry told Minnie what was going on.
“They’re aiming at the main reactor?”, she asked in an astonished tone.
“Affirmative, and I think I know why. If they hit the reactor, and cause the ship to blow up, Galeem and his remaining soldiers will be forced to evacuate. That will also have the result of releasing the Harmony Fleet from captivity.”, Flurry replied.
Flurry was right. Strong blasts flew from both Millie and Melody’s ships and pierced deep into the center of the Light Master. Multiple ships from Galeem’s fleet came shooting away in an attempt to escape the destruction, including Galeem himself, except Galeem was the only one who survived. Many of his soldiers’ ships were damaged and were blown up as they tried to escape. As the ship blew apart, several ships that Flurry recognized came flying away from the blast. When she spotted them on her radar, a smile formed on her face. Meanwhile, Millie and Melody had returned to their aunt and turned their radios back on.
“Way to go, girls.”, hollered Minnie over the headset.
Flurry called out to her fleet from Equus.
“Harmony Fleet, this is Queen Flurry Heart. Do you copy?”
The entire fleet acknowledged and was happy she was back.
“I see that you have found some new soldiers to help out.”, said Gallus.
“You’re right about that, Gallus. I never lost faith in her.”, added Smolder
Flurry called out to everyone and said they were clear to land on Equus since her shield was still standing.
“All fighters, my shield against Galeem is still holding up. We are clear to land.”
Both fleets acknowledged and began the landing sequence.
After atmospheric entry, everyone landed and the two fleets met each other. There was a lot of hand and hoof shaking that went on for at least two hours before Flurry started laying out the plans for the battle against Galeem.
“We will combine forces and use the power of balance, friendship, and harmony to win against Galeem. He will learn that light cannot be present at all times. Darkness must be present 50 percent of the time of a day.”
Everyone yelled back in agreement to what she had stated for the plan. Flurry decided to cast a vote for when the battle between them and Galeem would take place and everyone decided to get up at dawn the next morning to launch and enter the battlefield in orbit. Loud bells rang to wake everyone up the next dawn.
*GONG! GONG! GONG! *
When everyone heard the bells, they raced to their ships and began taking off. After breaking through the atmosphere, all pilots opened their wings before Flurry even gave the order, which pleased her greatly. They knew that the wings had to be set in attack position whenever going into battle. It was time to finally throw some sense into Galeem. Once he was visible on their radar, the pilots armed their weapons and got into battle formations.
As both fleets proceeded towards Galeem, they opened fire and started taking down his defenses. Galeem was used to battling against the Harmony Fleet, but the Disney Fleet made the battle even more intense, since he was battling by himself. All soldiers made sure to have their shields set to maximum so that Galeem’s light energy attacks would not do any damage, and they even used special reflectors to send some of his attacks back at him.
“IMPOSSIBLE!”, yelled Galeem in rage as his attacks were deflected back at his ship.
After battling for two and a half hours, both fleets were able to force Galeem backwards into Equus’ atmosphere. His ship was not designed for atmospheric entry, so he had to eject before the Starstriker crashed.
Once it was confirmed that this had become an air battle, everyone switched to their aerial targeting after reentry. Galeem sent out an army of ghosts shaped like right hands, called Master Hands, but the two fleets had prepared for the worst and took them out in a matter of minutes until a single shot from Mickey’s ship struck one of Galeem’s multicolored bands, shattering it.
Striking this band weakened Galeem slightly and made him more susceptible to the fleets’ attacks. They fought valiantly and finally sent Galeem falling out of the sky and plunging into the Celestial Sea with a *SPLASH*.
Once everyone had landed, all of the soldiers started hugging each other, giving high-fives, and preparing to celebrate their long awaited victory. However, just as the celebration was starting, there was a loud *CRACK* of lightning. Looking through macro binoculars, Millie and Melody spotted a physical crack in the sky.
“Look there.”, they shouted to Flurry.
As Flurry Heart looked at the area, the crack widened and became an actual fissure in the sky. Inside this fissure was pure darkness. Black tentacles with sharp thorns emerged from this opening and an orb that was similar to Galeem’s appeared, except this orb looked more like an eyeball. The tentacles opened the fissure even more and ghosts that looked like left hands, called Crazy Hands, began coming out. After the soldiers shot beams of light to take out the ghosts, Flurry boarded her ship and flew into the fissure to confront the entity itself.
“Who are you and why are you here?”, she asked angrily.
“I am Dharkon, the embodiment of darkness and pure chaos. When you thwarted Galeem’s plan to take out all darkness, that was my cue to emerge and blot out all light in the universe.”, the entity hissed.
Annoyed by this, Flurry rolled her eyes. She had just stopped someone who wanted to destroy darkness, and now she had to deal with the opposite. This couldn’t possibly get any worse, not even by a long shot.
As the soldiers were taking off once again, they switched their weapons to be useful against darkness in order to fight Dharkon effectively. As they started taking down Dharkon’s army, they saw that his soldiers were sneakier than Galeem’s. Taking down these darkness soldiers required monitoring the radar more frequently. However, they managed to concentrate and continue fighting Dharkon.
After three hours of constant battle, Silverstream saw a signal on her radar that matched Galeem’s frequency. She was startled by this and relayed the news to the rest of the soldiers.
“Goodness gracious! He must not give up easily.”, said Mickey.
A radio transmission from Galeem himself confirmed what Mickey had said.
“Right you are. Dharkon was spawned after my defeat when I tried to take over another world. We were both beaten in the end, but I didn’t know he had returned as well.”, he said in a furious tone.
“Surprise, Surprise, Lord of Light.”, Dharkon spat back.
“Looks like the battle just got more interesting. Prepare for double enemies.”, Flurry said over radio.
“Copy that, Gold Leader.”, replied all of the squad leaders.
Both the Harmony Fleet and the Disney Fleet began forming up for the showdown between light and dark. As Dharkon readied more of his soldiers, Galeem did the same and readied his fleet again.
After Galeem’s soldiers were in formation, they opened fire on everyone else, both Dharkon’s fleet and the fleets led by Flurry Heart. Each of the fleets was now having to battle two groups of enemies instead of just one.
Both the Harmony Fleet and the Disney Fleet were making the biggest mark, because the attacks from Dharkon and Galeem on each other’s fleets had neutral results. This was due to the fact that darkness and light cancel each other out. Flurry Heart noticed this while her fleets were attacking.
“Attention all soldiers, we are making the largest mark against both Galeem and Dharkon. Their fleets cancel each other out because light and darkness are two sides of the same coin. We have the upper hand. We can drive them down.”, she called out over radio.
All of the soldiers on her side acknowledged and they started giving their enemies everything they had at their disposal. Flurry was right to tell them this, because both Galeem and Dharkon’s soldiers were destroyed and the leaders soon found themselves being pushed backwards.
“How can this be?”, Galeem wondered to himself.
“THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!”, Dharkon shouted as he felt the heat of atmospheric entry.
Both Galeem and Dharkon were shoved through the atmosphere and left floating in the sky. The battle had changed to an air battle. All of the ships from both of Flurry’s fleets came charging in and let all of their weapons loose. Lasers flew, quantum and photon torpedoes exploded in the air, and beams of both light and darkness collided. Galeem and Dharkon were now on their own, and they let loose everything they had as well, both at the two fleets and at each other. However, their attacks had no effect. The fleets had strong shields that blocked out the attacks, and their attacks at each other simply disappeared due to being cancelled out.
Three hours into the battle, all of the fighters came close to striking down both Galeem and Dharkon at the same time. However, the two enemies tried their hardest to defend themselves. Eventually, there was an explosion of energy and a bright flash that blinded everyone.
When everyone opened their eyes, they were shocked. Both Galeem and Dharkon were downed but they were not destroyed. Also, both fleets were downed, but no one had been killed. Flurry Heart was speechless at this situation. The battle had ended in a stalemate, or a tie. No one had won or lost the fight. There were many injured during the battle, so the final battle did not take place right away. Flurry Heart made a dangerous choice that had positive results. This was a barrier that prevented Galeem and Dharkon from creating any new soldiers, because she was determined to tell them both the truth after the war had exhausted them both and they had no power left with which to fight.
After two weeks, everyone was fully healed from their injuries and ready to bring the war to a close. Flurry was aggravated to know that neither Galeem nor Dharkon knew that light and darkness were coexistent. She would have to tell them herself and was hoping to get them to agree on peace. She knew however, that telling them this would not be easy, and she had no idea if they would even agree to stop fighting each other. The fate of the entire universe rested on her wings and she felt the presence of her parents, Aunt Twilight, and Celestia and Luna in her heart. From the heavens, they were ready to help her end the war between light and darkness, but even they could guess nothing about how the war would end for real. It was only a matter of time until the results would be written in stone.
As everyone was gearing up for takeoff, Flurry Heart had made up her mind. She called a meeting with the squad leaders and discussed her plan.
“Instead of destroying Galeem and Dharkon, we will restrain them so that I can talk sense into them.”, she said.
“How do you plan to achieve that?”, asked Mickey.
“Yeah, just as Mickey said, how are going to do that?”, asked Yona.
“Here’s my plan for doing this. We will build two sets of shackles. One will be charged with darkness from our battle with Dharkon and launched at Galeem. The other set will be charged with light from battling Galeem and launched at Dharkon. The shackles will be inside large missiles that I will fire from my ship. However, I must do so when both of them are at their most vulnerable. We must take down their defenses gradually until their protection has dropped to 10%. Once it has reached that point, it will be the ideal moment for me to restrain them. If it gets lower than 10%, then the shackles may destroy them, which is not what I want to do.”, Flurry explained.
The leaders agreed with Flurry Heart’s idea and the two fleets began to build the two sets of shackles. After constructing the shackles and charging them, they began packing them into the missiles. Once the missiles had been loaded onto Flurry’s ship, everyone started prepping their own ships for the final battle in the war for balance between light and darkness.
It took one week for everyone to prepare their equipment and set it to the absolute maximum level of power. After everything was stabilized and all systems were go, everybody started boarding their ships and Flurry spoke to Celestia, Twilight, and Luna through telepathy, asking for protection and guidance. After hearing in her head that the guidance and protection would come, Flurry got on board her ship and called to the soldiers.
“All pilots, close helmets and confirm radio contact.”
Once the pilots had confirmed contact, Flurry gave the final countdown to launch.
“Takeoff in five, four, three, two, ONE!”, she cried.
Engines fired off and the soldiers took off for space. Arriving in orbit, they spotted Galeem and Dharkon waiting for them.
Once all of the ships were in position, it was time for the final showdown.
“Lock S-foils in attack position.”, instructed the squad leaders to their members.
“Here goes nothing. It’s now or never.”, said Minnie as her nieces split off and everyone’s wings opened up.
“OPEN FIRE!”, yelled Smolder.
Weapons began firing at both of the entities and slowly breaking down their shields. Galeem and Dharkon both tried to send out bits of their power to counter the attacks, but it would not work.

Twenty minutes later…
**
“Protection integrity at 25%. Get ready with those missiles, Flurry Heart.”, said Mickey.
Flurry opened the muzzle doors and locked the reticles on both Galeem and Dharkon as she continued shooting in unison with all of the other soldiers. Galeem and Dharkon intensified their defenses by sending out both Master Hands and Crazy Hands, but the soldiers had strengthened their weapons to take these out like a hot knife through butter. Thirty minutes after this, both Galeem’s and Dharkon’s protection had dropped to the sweet spot. At this point, it was Flurry’s time to shine.
“TEN PERCENT!”, yelled Millie and Melody over headset.
“FIRE NOW!”, yelled Toodles.
Flurry took a deep breath and then pulled the trigger. The missiles left her ship with a huge recoil, pushing her ship backwards. Galeem and Dharkon saw the weapons coming and tried to put up shields to deflect the missiles, but they were too late. The missiles burst open and the shackles penetrated deep into the orbs, wrapping themselves around the human forms of both entities. They felt their powers fading away and they began to lose sense of what was happening. Sound became silence, and sight began to darken. As everything before their eyes faded to black, Galeem and Dharkon both felt themselves falling as gravity pulled them towards Equus. They felt cold wetness as they splashed into the Celestial Sea, and then they passed out completely.
When Galeem and Dharkon woke up, they were in human form and shackled side by side against a crystal wall. They did not know where they were until Flurry walked into the dark room, dressed in full regalia.
“I am the Queen over the land of Equestria. I was appalled by your decisions to blot out the element that is the opposite of your embodiment. Come with me, both of you.”, she said sternly as she released their shackles.
The two followed her into a conference room with a ring-shaped table. The squad leaders were already seated before Flurry came in, but they stood up in respect as she entered.
“Squad Leaders, you may be seated.”, said Flurry as she led Galeem and Dharkon to two chairs at the table.
Once everyone was seated, Flurry called the meeting to order.
“What is the meaning of this?”, asked Galeem as he glared at Flurry.
“The purpose of this conference is to inform both you and Dharkon that neither light nor darkness can be present without the other.”, she replied calmly.
“Say what?”, asked Dharkon in an alarmed tone.
“In other words, light and darkness are coexistent.”, said Mickey.
“They are two sides of the same coin.”, said Silverstream.
Galeem and Dharkon were astonished at what they had just been told.
“No organism can remain awake or asleep forever. It is bad for one’s health. We must get roughly the same amount of rest that we get in the time we are awake and active.”, said Gallus from a medical point of view.
Galeem and Dharkon took in what they had just been told. They shut their eyes and began to remember what they sought to do. Galeem realized how selfish he had been when he wanted to wrap the universe in light forever, and Dharkon saw how selfish he was when he wanted to put out all light and make the universe a world of pure black darkness. Both entities broke down in tears, regretting what they had wanted to do.
“Your Highness, I am terribly sorry for wanting to destroy all darkness. I should never have declared war against you.”, said Galeem through sniffles.
“I am deeply sorry as well, Your Majesty. I was so dialed in on blotting out all forms of light, that I did not accept that light cannot exist without darkness and vice versa.”, said Dharkon as his tears stopped.
Flurry Heart forgave both of the entities and stated a plan to write a peace treaty between them. This would remind both Galeem and Dharkon that they promised not to try destroying either light or darkness. They agreed with her plan and waited for the treaty to be written.
It took two days of brainstorming, drafting, and proofreading to ensure that the peace treaty was written correctly. When the time finally came, the treaty was brought to the conference room and everyone seated at the table passed it around and added their signature, which included more than only the squad leaders. After everyone had signed the treaty, it became engulfed in magical flames and flew up into the heavens so it could not be destroyed.

We the undersigned agree that both light and darkness must coexist in order to maintain balance in the universe. If either one is destroyed before the end of time, the universe will be out of balance and destroyed.

Once the treaty was signed and sent to the heavens, Galeem and Dharkon left Equus and the Disney allies created a portal between their worlds that would never close up. They returned home and peace was restored for eternity.
