Another short story I put together. Apple Bloom finds a Death Note and begins to use it to punish those who deserve it. Just a quick story to spark my creativity, I have a larger story planned soon (one where Starlight Glimmer is still evil and is just waiting for the right time to get her revenge).
While in a different universe, Apple Bloom in this story is loosely based off the Apple Bloom I wrote about in "Cutie Mark Cleansers" and "The Black Apple". However, spoiler alert - this Apple Bloom realizes the error of her ways.
It was a sunny day in Ponyville, and the Cutie Mark Crusaders were on a quest to find their next adventure. Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle trotted through the Everfree Forest, eager to uncover the mysteries hidden within its depths.
As they walked deeper into the woods, Apple Bloom spotted something unusual on the ground. It was a black notebook, adorned with strange symbols that seemed to call out to her.
"Hey, y'all! Look at this!" she exclaimed, picking up the mysterious book with her mouth. The other Crusaders gathered around to inspect the strange find.
The cover of the book read: "Death Note." Apple Bloom opened it to find a set of rules and instructions. The first rule caught her attention: "The pony whose name is written in this note shall die."
The Cutie Mark Crusaders exchanged puzzled glances. Scootaloo shrugged, "It's probably just somepony's idea of a joke. Let's keep exploring!"
But Apple Bloom couldn't shake the eerie feeling that the book held real power. She decided to hold onto it, just in case. As they continued through the forest, she couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she tested the Death Note's rules.
Over the next few days, Apple Bloom became obsessed with the Death Note. She couldn't stop thinking about the power it could give her - the ability to punish those who deserved it. When she overheard some ponies in town gossiping about a notorious criminal named Shadow Stalker, she decided it was time to put the Death Note to the test.
That night, in the privacy of her room, Apple Bloom wrote Shadow Stalker's name in the book. She held her breath, unsure of what would happen next. The next morning, the town was abuzz with news that Shadow Stalker had been found dead. Apple Bloom realized that the Death Note's power was real.
The young filly felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. She believed she could use the Death Note to make the world a better place, to get rid of those who brought harm and chaos to Equestria.
Over the following weeks, Apple Bloom continued to use the Death Note, targeting criminals and evildoers. She became intoxicated by the power she wielded, convinced that she was an instrument of justice.
As Apple Bloom spiraled deeper into her dark obsession, her friends started to notice a change in her. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle tried to talk to her, but Apple Bloom brushed them off, determined to continue her mission.
One day, Apple Bloom overheard some ponies gossiping about a particularly cruel bully named Razor Wind. She decided that he would be her next target. However, in her haste, she failed to notice that Scootaloo had been listening in on her conversation.
Scootaloo couldn't believe her ears. She knew she had to talk to Sweetie Belle about Apple Bloom's troubling behavior. Together, the two friends resolved to confront Apple Bloom and find out the truth.
When they confronted Apple Bloom, she reluctantly admitted to using the Death Note to punish wrongdoers. Her friends were horrified. Sweetie Belle gasped, "Apple Bloom, this is not what friendship is about! You can't play judge, jury, and executioner!"
Scootaloo added, "We need to find a way to fix this, Apple Bloom. We can't let you keep using that book!"
Apple Bloom realized that she had let her desire for justice blind her to the true meaning of friendship. She knew that she had to make things right. The Cutie Mark Crusaders decided to consult Princess Twilight Sparkle for guidance on how to deal with the Death Note and the consequences of Apple Bloom's actions.
When they arrived at the Castle of Friendship, Twilight listened carefully to their story. She was deeply concerned by the power of the Death Note and the dark path Apple Bloom had taken. Twilight knew they had to find a way to undo the damage and ensure the book could never be used again.

One day, the trio came across a new pony in town named Whisper Willow, who was being bullied by a group of older ponies. Remembering her past mistakes, Apple Bloom knew she had to do something to help.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders approached the bullies, standing up for Whisper Willow and reminding them that friendship was about kindness and understanding, not cruelty and belittlement. The bullies, ashamed of their actions, apologized to Whisper Willow and promised to change their ways.
Whisper Willow thanked the Cutie Mark Crusaders for their help and asked if she could join their group. The Crusaders welcomed her with open arms, excited to have a new friend to share their adventures with.
As they played and laughed together, Apple Bloom felt a warmth in her heart, even though she couldn't remember the darker times she'd left behind. She had learned that true justice was not about vengeance, but rather about standing up for others and promoting kindness and love.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders became role models in Ponyville, their actions inspiring other ponies to treat each other with respect and understanding. Their friendship grew even stronger, bound by the lessons they had learned and the love they shared.
