What happened during the "six hours" the CMC and their three friends went missing?
Read before continuing: While I marked this story as a sequel to My Little Pony: Clash of Dragons, this story takes place during Arc 4 of that story and is such, a side story that takes place at a certain point when the CMC, Daimond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Rumble went missing. While general knowledge of the main story is required to read this story, and while you can see the end result of this story in the main story, even then there are mysteries to be had. Such as how the CMC exactly made Diamond Tiara a better filly enough to stand up to her mom and another mystery all together.
What was but six hours to the grownups, was six full days with the CMC and their three friends, but two of those friends weren't their friends at first. And how does Scootaloo know that the Tsukiamon was named Tex in the first place? All these questions and more will be answered as we peak into what happened when the CMC and their three friends went missing. Or rather, instead of going missing, the six foals were transported to the mysterious Digital World in an area where only digimon roam. This area is controlled by a White Gatomon referred to as Mistress Rose but the group will soon discover that she is not a bad kitty. In fact, there is an evil force in the digital world, threatening to tear it apart. A force that once tried to do the same to the real world, and was thought to have died.

Cole the Hamster was holding a mysterious device. "I bet your wondering what this device is." He said. "Well, it's a Digivice. And it's purpose is to connect to the Digital World." Cole said. "This is a tale of when six foals found devices like this one, and went on an adventure, met creatures known as Digital Monsters or Digimon for short, and even had some romance going on." He added. "So, what exactly happened to these six foals? Well, for that, let me take you back to when the six foals in question were on their school field trip." Cole said.
It was the spring break camping trip in an area of the Everfree Forest that was cleared out by the Society. Miss Cheerilee had brought the entire class here and after telling them to try not to wonder too far, simply let the foals run wild.
"Well I know what we're doing girls." Apple Bloom said. "We're going to go find something new in the Everfree Forest. We might find something no pony has ever found before." She added.
"Yeah. One of us might even get our cutie mark out of it." Sweetie Belle said.
"...So why is Rumble coming with us?" Scootaloo asked.
"Well I just thought that I could help you with your flying issues during the camping trip Scootaloo. I want to help you." Rumble said. "Not for any special reason mind you, just because I can." He added.
"...Fair enough." Scootaloo said. The colt didn't have his cutie mark either, but he did sort of latch onto Scootaloo one day during recess.
"Oh look who it is Silver Spoon. It's the blank flanks." Diamond Tiara said, as she approached the four with Silver Spoon.
"Don't even start things Diamond Tiara. The four of us are going to explore around and hopefully find something no pony has found in the forest before." Apple Bloom said.
"And there is no way we're going to let you steal that from us." Sweetie Belle said.
"Especially if it means at least one of us gets a cutie mark out of it." Scootaloo said.
You tell them, Scootaloo! Rumble silently cheered in his head as he smiled.
"Well then, I guess that means we'll have to make sure to find this discovery first." Diamond Tiara said.
"Uh...yeah. What Diamond Tiara said." Silver Spoon said. "...Wait what?" She suddenly said. "Diamond Tiara, that's a little excessive don't you think?" She asked.
"You know what? Doesn't matter if you do find something now that I think about it. You three have been trying all too much for various cutie marks, and still have nothing to show for it." Diamond Tiara said. "I bet that you three will remain blank flanks FOREVER." She added.
"Now that really is a bridge too far." Apple Bloom said.
"Well I'm right, right? You've been crusading for your cutie marks for how long now with not a single one of you getting one yet?" Diamond Tiara asked. The three girls suddenly fell silent at that. "...Thought so." Diamond Tiara said.
"Well maybe this time will be different. We'll never know unless we try." Scootaloo said.
"Yeah! Scootaloo's right. Who knows what marks they get until they get them. Won't stop them from doing other things, I'd say." Rumble said.
"And what's more, even if I got mine first, I would make sure my friends got their marks too." Scootaloo said. "So try and counter that." She added.
"That's...well..." Diamond Tiara said.
"So, how about you stop teasing us. If your so certain we still won't get cutie marks out of this, why don't you come with?" Scootaloo asked.
"...Wait what?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"I mean come on, wouldn't you want to be there to rub it in our faces?" Scootaloo asked.
"Scootaloo, that's--" Apple Bloom said.
"Sshh!" Scootaloo said. "I'm on a roll here, don't stop me." She whispered into Apple Bloom's ear.
"...Oh. Oh ah get it." Apple Bloom said.
"You know what? Fine. I will come with you three. Just because I'll finally get to see how badly you fail with my own eyes." Diamond Tiara said.
"I suppose I'll come too." Silver Spoon said.
The group continued onwards, with Rumble trying to help Scootaloo fly until Sweetie Belle tripped over something sticking out of the ground. "What did I just trip over?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"I don't know, but we better find out." Apple Bloom said before digging up the object. It was a metal briefcase.
"...Well this is something that has been found before. But what's it doing all the way out here." Diamond Tiara said. For once, she wanted one of them to get a cutie mark out of this, as she wanted to be there for it.
"Well let's open it." Scootaloo said before doing so. It was easy to open. Inside were six strange devices.
Each one was a color that matched one of the foals there.
"Whoa. These are cool looking." Rumble said. "But...I don't know what they are." He said grabbing the one of his color.
"Well we've stumbled across a mystery. Ah bet once we figure out what these are, one of us will get their cutie mark for sure!" Apple Bloom said.
"Wait. I know what these are. But that's impossible." Sweetie Belle said.
"Sweetie Belle, you know what these are?" Silver Spoon asked, curious.
"Yeah. They are called Digivices." Sweetie Belle said.
"Rats. Thought it was something new." Scootaloo said.
"But that's not the confusing part. The confusing part is that they seem to be exactly like what I saw from one of Button Mash's games." Sweetie Belle asked.
"...You hang out with Button Mash?!" It wasn't just Apple Bloom and Scootaloo who said that, but Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon too.
"You don't know everything about me." Sweetie Belle said. Suddenly once each foal had one, the screens glowed.
"Sweetie, is this supposed to happen?!" Diamond Tiara exclaimed, worried.
"I-I don't know, but brace yourselves every pony!" Sweetie Belle said before the group suddenly vanished.
Or rather, they didn't vanish, so much as they were being flung through a strange tube with various data all around them as they were flying. When they landed, they arrived in some weird blocky location.
"Sweetie Belle, what is this place?" Scootaloo asked.
"This looks like the digital world. But I don't recognize this area." Sweetie Belle said. "...And I certainly don't remember any castle from any of Button's video games!" She added, pointing to a giant castle.
"...I have a bad feeling about this." Rumble said.
Little did he realize; his bad feeling would turn out to be true.

"I hope that this castle is the reason why we're here." Diamond Tiara said. "The sooner we get things over with, the sooner I can go back home." Diamond Tiara said.
"R-right. Miss Cheerilee is probably going to be looking for us soon." Apple Bloom said.
"It was like an hour until roll call when we left. If we hurry, we can probably just barely make it." Sweetie Belle said. The group soon saw Button Mash talking with some black reptile creature.
"...Wow. To think this used to be like that." Button Mash said. "Oh hey Sweetie." Button said once he noticed Sweetie Belle.
"Button Mash? What are you doing here?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Don't know. I was playing Digimon World Cyber Sluth: Complete Edition for the Pony Switch, when I suddenly was sucked in through my TV, found this strange device on my foreleg..." Button Mash motioned to a digivice on his leg that matched his color scheme. "...And found this castle. Then I found this Dark Veemon patrolling the outside of the place." He explained.
"Sup? Friend of yours?" The Dark Veemon asked.
"Yeah. You could say that." Sweetie Belle said. "So what is this castle?" She added.
"This castle was built by varous digimon. It's where those that are employed by the castle's owner live." Button Mash said. "The castle's owner is named Mistress Rose. Strange name, but whatever." He added.
"...Girls. Do you know what this means?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Oh dear..." Diamond Tiara said.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS CASTLE RAIDERS YEAH!" The three CMC members exclaimed.
"Heh. Count me in." Rumble said.
"Let's go Diamond Tiara. Not every day we get to raid a castle." Silver Spoon said.
"...Well I suppose I might as well help." Diamond Tiara said.
The group started heading inside.
"...Thank that was wise just letting them pass?" Button Mash asked.
"Heh. They'll find out the hard way they aren't about to meet a Villianess." The Dark Veemon said.
"I should follow them, just in case." Button Mash said.
The group soon discovered an Elevator. "Really? An elevator?" Apple Bloom asked.
"I'm not complaining. Up we go." Scootaloo said, pushing the top floor button. The elevator ride was quick and easy. "...Well this is anticlimatic." She added before they got out of the elevator and found a purple flying pig creature.
"That's a Tsukaimon." Sweetie Belle recognized.
"Hmm?" The Tsukaimon looked up from the book he was reading. "Seriously? Whose the wise guy who left the elevator unguarded? AGAIN?" The Tsukaimon said.
"Your male. Not Mistress Rose." Rumble noted.
"True. But I am her second in command. You can call me Tex." The Tsukaimon said and put down the book. "And you have come at a bad time. If you want a meeting with the Mistress, best to schedule it." He said.
"We're here to take her down." Apple Bloom said.
"...You must be joking. Ugh...I have enough problems today as it is." Tex said.
"...Karen. Totally a Karen." Diamond Tiara said.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A KAREN, BUSTER?!" Tex exclaimed.
"YOU, YOU FLYING PIG YOU!" Diamond Tiara said. Then she blinked as she realized Tex was flying. "...Wait..." Diamond Tiara said. "YOU CAN FLY?!" She asked shock.
"And so it begins." Sweetie Belle said.
"Must be your first time seeing a Tsukaimon or a Patamon. Yeah, the phrase 'when pigs fly' doesn't really work in the digital world when there are actual flying pigs." Tex said.
"...Well check this out Scootaloo..." Diamond Tiara started.
"Don't. Even." Scootaloo warned, which made Diamond Tiara cower a bit.
"...Heh. I like that kid." Tex said.
"What's with all the ruckus?" A female voice said. A female white bipedal cat entered the room. "I'm trying to take a nice warm bath." She added.
"Are you Mistress Rose, Gatomon?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"...Ugh. Why does everyone in this area still call me that?" The cat said.
"...Wait what?" Silver Spoon asked.
The Gatomon then went over to the throne and sat in it. "I manage to bring order and safety to this area of the Digital World, and suddenly every mon in it decided to affectionately call me 'Mistress' Rose." She said.
"I still say you should just accept that Digimon are still going to do that." Tex said.
"So, your not some evil dictator that took over this place by force?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Phew made it." Button Mash said from behind them. "So, your not fighting. That's a good sign. Didn't want you to attack the very person who basically created an orginzation for defeating bandits and outlaws. As well as protecting digimon." Button Mash said. "See, this area of the Digital World doesn't have a single Tamer in it." He added.
"What's a tamer?" Apple Bloom asked.
"You mean there are no humans." Sweetie Belle said. "That's what tamers were in the video games." She added.
"That's right. This area is not moderated by a Tamer Union branch. So I had to pick this area up from ruination. This castle serves as a symbol of peace." Rose said.
"...But if that's the case, why did we get zapped here by these Digivices?" Scootaloo asked.
"...Yeah. And my game too." Button Mash said.
"...Wait. I just noticed: All seven of you have Digivices. And if that's the case, it means something evil is stiring..." Tex said.
"That's true. The only time groups have ever been teleported to the digital world is when there's a great and dangerous threat to it." Rose said. Suddenly there was a huge earthquake. "THIS ISN'T A NORMAL EARTHQUAKE EITHER!"
Soon, the Dark Veemon from before was carrying a plant like creature with a design like a cactus. "Whoa, what happened to the cactus?" Silver Spoon asked.
"M-mistress Rose...he's...he's still alive...I don't know how...but he's still alive..." The catctus creature said.
"Who, whose still alive Pala?" Rose asked.
"...Malafor..." Pala said before fainting. There was an obvious poison burn on her leaf.
Previously, quite the bombshell was dropped: Malafor was still alive, and he was going to take out the Digital World it seemed.
"...Well on that note, we're going back. Come on Silver Spoon." Diamond Tiara said. But she noticed that Silver Spoon wasn't following her. "...I said, we're leaving." Diamond Tiara said.
"I'm not leaving. And you shouldn't either. Look, I don't know what's with you lately, but what you did with Scootaloo was a step too far. I let it go as a one-time thing, but you've been getting meaner and meaner and meaner. This is NOT the same filly I became friends with anymore. It's like I don't even know you!" Silver Spoon said.
"Wh-SILVER SPOON!" Diamond Tiara said.
"I'm putting my hoof down this time though. I don't care what you think, I'm not about to let Malafor destroy any worlds if I can help it. And I can." Silver Spoon said. "Oh, and if you do run off, you can forget about ever being my friend." She added.
Wh-what?!" Diamond Tiara exclaimed.
"Dang. Silver Spoon is letting Diamond Tiara have it." Rumble said.
"The teasing about the Cutie Mark Crusaders and those without cutie marks I could handle. Almost sending Scootaloo into depression I shrugged off when I shouldn't have. But this? Not saving a world when you clearly can?! Now that's just not right." Silver Spoon said. "And once I tell everyone that you chickened out of this, you'll never be the most popular filly in school again. And you can forget winning the class president after that." She added.
That made Diamond Tiara start to break down. "That...was really harsh." Tex said.
"I'm inclined to agree." Scootaloo said.
"...I like this filly." Tex said.
There was silence in the air. And then a Black version of Rose showed up. "A Black Gatomon?!" Button Mash said.
"Silver Spoon was it? Don't you think your words were a bit harsh there?" The Black Gatomon asked.
"So? I wasn't going to abondon this world, and I meant what I said. I've been indulging Diamond Tiara's bullying ways for far too long. It's time I put my hoof down." Silver Spoon said.
"If...if I don't win that class president position...then momma...momma will...she'll disown me..." Diamond Tiara said.
"...Say what now?" Rumble asked. "Is that what everything has been about? You trying to please your mother?" He asked.
"Now that's just complete bull." Scootaloo said. She went up to Diamond Tiara. "Look, I don't care what you've done or said to me and my friends, but you shouldn't be listening to her mother if she can't accept you for the pony you are. That's not how mothers work. Trust me, I know. I honestly never told any pony else this, but my mom is very supportive of the pony I am. Even if I am as you keep calling me a 'blank flank' and even if I can't fly yet. Because she and my sister believe in me." She added.
"Sister? When did you have a sister?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"I've always had a sister. Rainbow Dash. We just don't show it much because if you can't tell, Pegasi aren't into the mushy stuff." Scootaloo said.
"Heh. I've tried my fair share of romance, but even I'd never go super mushy or anything like that." Tex said. "But every girl I've met has tried to get mushy with me. I hate that." He added.
"Well Rumble's my first coltfriend." Scootaloo said.
"Yeah. And I'd rather not try to be too mushy with her anyways. She's too awesome for Mushy." Rumble said.
"...Your something else Rumble." Tex said.
"Your so corny Rumble. But I like that about you." Scootaloo said. "Anyways, my point is, is that my sister and mother believe in me to fly. So I will." She added.
"S-says you...your mother is Daring Do!" Diamond Tiara said. "What? Did you think I didn't know?" She added.
"Wait...SCOOTALOO'S MOTHER IS DARING DO?!" Rumble fainted.
"Way to go Diamond Tiara. You ruined my big surprise." Scootaloo said.
"If my mother was Daring Do...well...I doubt she'd let me advirtise it. But at least I wouldn't basically have my entire life controlled by her." Diamond Tiara said.
"Then break free from the one you have. Put her in her place. Don't let her control you." Sweetie Belle said. "If you really want to be the best possible you you can be, then you need to stand up to her, and show her why she's wrong." She added.
"...But...but I don't know if I can do it..." Diamond Tiara said.
"Of course you can. You can be strong if you really try. And if there's anything earth ponies know, it's being strong." Apple Bloom said. "Sure, your not as strong as I can get, but strength can be more about physical strength. And you should let your inner strength help you stand up to your mother." She added.
"I...I..." Diamond Tiara said, before she broke down into tears. "...I...I'm sorry...I'm so so so sorry..." She said as she sobbed.
"...THAT. WAS. AWESOME!" Rumble said.
"...You've got a winner there Scootaloo. Don't lose him." Tex said.
"I know." Scootaloo said. "Also Rumble, we're having a moment here." She added.
"...Oh. Right. Sorry." Rumble said.
It took a while, but Diamond Tiara stopped crying and she had picked herself up. "...I'm going to be okay now. You...you girls are right. Enough being my mother's golden girl. I'm going to live my life the way I want from now on. I'm not sure how we'll save the world, but between the seven of us I'm sure we'll think of something." Diamond Taira said before standing upright. "WE WILL SAVE THIS WORLD, AND WE WILL DO IT WITH STYLE!" She added.
"THERE'S the Diamond Tiara I remember being friends with. Thank you girls. Truely." Silver Spoon said.
"I felt good about that. We should try helping other ponies with their problems out." Sweetie Belle said.
"Ah agree one hundred percent." Apple Bloom said.
"Yeah! Who knows what'll happen on the way? All I know is that I get to spend it with my best friends." Scootaloo said. The group suddenly became envoloped in a light, before it died down after blinding every creature there. "...Why's every creature looking at us funny?" Scootaloo asked.
"It's your cutie marks..." Silver Spoon said.
"Their amazing!" Diamond Tiara said. Sure enough, the CMC had nearly identical cutie marks.
"WE ALL HAVE THE SAME CUTIE MARK! CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS FORVER!" The three fillies said.
"...Is this a moment? Or can I actually say the thing this time?" Rumble asked.
"I think you can say the thing." Tex said.
"Okay." Rumble said. "THAT IS SO AWESOMELY AMAZING AND SUPER COOL!" Rumble said.
"...That is not what I thought you'd say..." Tex said.
"Okay, the cutie marks are awesome, but seriously, how can we help? We're just a bunch of foals." Diamond Tiara said.
"I think you'll do well with some of Rose's knights. And Tex of course." The black Gatomon said.
"What? Why me? Selina, I'm no fighter." Tex said to the Black Gatomon.
"Join the club. But I've got to do something." Scootaloo said.
"And that's the point." Selina said, winking at Rose.
"Ah yes. I see what you're throwing down now. In the distant past, young kids were able to connect with Digimon that shared similar aspects with them. And it seems Tex is a perfect fit for Scootaloo." Rose said.
"Isn't that from the anime?" Button Mash asked.
"...Digimon has an anime?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"It does, but I much prefer the games regardless." Button Mash said.
"Of course, you would." Diamond Tiara said.
"Actually, I'm sure I'd much prefer the games too. Interactivity with stuff is SO much better." Sweetie Belle said. "...Hey, this would be like an interactive version of the anime!" She added.
"This is real life still Sweetie." Apple Bloom said.
"Hey lay off. It'll also be like being part of a video game!" Scootaloo said. "And I am all for that!" She added.
"I like the spirit of this filly. Maybe we'll get along fine." Tex said.
"This is still real life. But you know what? What the heck? I guess it'll be something I can rub in my mother's face once we get back. I can totally be like 'I am NOT being under your hoof anymore and I saved a world to prove it' to her face!" Diamond Tiara said.
"What the heck? I might as well help you achieve that." Silver Spoon said.
"Yeah. This might be fun." Apple Bloom said.
"Well, I think it's best if I called all my knights here. Who knows who you'll fit best with." Rose said.
"I'm not a knight!" Tex said.
"No, but you are an awesome flier. Maybe you can help Rumble teach me how to fly." Scootaloo said.
"He doesn't have underdevoloped wings like we do. But once your in the air, he can definitely help you maintain it." Rumble said.
"...Hmm..." Tex pondered. "...Call for some of the other staff." He added.
"But the knights are more experienced with the rougher parts of this area." Rose said.
"Then they can help out where needed, but if none of them fit with the other foals, it wouldn't be right." Tex said.
"Point." Rose said.
"How many knights could Rose have in her employment?" Button Mash asked.
One screen transition later, and Button Mash had essentially blue screened. As had Sweetie Belle. Oh, and Scootaloo too.
"...I'm guessing the sheer amount of Digimon made our three gamers faint." Silver Spoon said.
"Yeah. This is a LOT of digimon. Most aren't past the champion stage though." Button Mash said.
"That doesn't mean squat Button. Rose said this area had bandits. Which I'm guessing are other Digimon." Diamond Tiara said.
"Yeah, but those digimon aren't afraid to try and delete us." Tex said.
"D-delete?! Diamond Tiara exclaimed.
"Don't worry too much Diamond Tiara. For digimon, when they get deleted, they can still be revived." Button Mash said.
"It's not that simple kid. Sure the games allow for that, but here, if we get deleted, we get respawned a few days later as digi-eggs. With a large majority of our memories having been vanished." Tex said.
"But thankfully, those that are part of the castle get it easier. Rose and I figured out a way to preserve memories better." Selina said.
"Which would otherwise be impossible." Tex said.
"I read something about that actually. But how can Selina bypass that? Unless she's not originally a digimon at all." Sweetie Belle said.
"Fess up, your some sort of spy." Rumble said.
"Not a spy, but what you see before you is just a shell. Guess I might as well show you who I really am." Selina said before she vanished. Suddenly a statue showed up out of nowhere.
"...A statue?" Button Mash was confused.
"Not quite." The statue said in a voice that made it clear that this was a god. "I am the First One. You may call me, Silten." He added.
It took a bit for the seven foals to recover a bit. Also, the statue had went back to being the Black Gatomon Selina.
"Well, it's good your not suffering from any major mental changes." Selina said.
"Geez, that was a shock." Silver Spoon said.
"Most of the knights already know of who I really am. But I have to say, I've been adjusting nicely, I think. Who knew this could be so fun~" Selina said.
"Right. Now, shall we see who we click with? It would be nice to do that so we can do what we need to do." Diamond Tiara said.
"Ah agree. Enough messing around." Apple Bloom said.
"Oh wow, you're a southern girl." One of the knights said. "I love southern girls~" She seemed to be some sort of bunny.
"But you don't seem like the type who would do farm work." Diamond Tiara pointed out.
"Not really. In addition to being a knight, I do participate in pagents in other areas of the Digital World." The bunny said.
"In that case, you might be better paired with Diamond Tiara. She once won a beauty contest. But that was so long ago at this point. I wish she would do that again." Silver Spoon said.
"I don't know...even though I won it, I didn't get my cutie mark until a week after when I started to ordering others around to do things for me." Diamond Tiara said. "They just listened." She added.
"Only because you sold it well." Silver Spoon said.
"Well I think you and I will get along fine anyways. Many of the other knights tend to listen to the things I suggest they do." The bunny said.
"Yeah. I think you and Lala will get along just fine Diamond Tiara." Tex said. "...Though I'm not happy that I'm going to have to be around her again." He added.
"I'm not going to be too happy about this either Tex." Lala said.
"...He your ex or something?" Diamond Tiara said.
"We barely got past the dating phase of our relationship before we just started fighting constantly." Lala said.
"Sounds like me and Diamond Tiara." Scootaloo said.
"That's Diamond Tiara and I Scoots." Sweetie Belle said.
"Of course, you'd say that." Scootaloo said, rolling her eyes.
"Hey, don't be so hard on her." A similar looking rabbit creature to Lola said. "She was only trying to help you with your grammer." He added.
"That's just how Sweetie Belle is. What's this guy's name?" Button Mash asked.
"His name is Terror." Tex said.
"...Wait really?" Button Mash said.
"I know, not that imaginative." Terror said.
"Well Button Mash's father is named Silent Hero. And he's mute. A little too on the nose if you ask me." Sweetie Belle said.
"...You've MET Button Mash's father?!" The other foals who weren't Button Mash exclaimed.
"You don't know everything about me." Sweetie Belle said.
"Yeah Silent Hero isn't that imaginative. It was him who decided to call me 'Button Mash'." Button Mash said. "All because I was able to play video games when I was barely three months old." He added.
Diamond Tiara's jaw just dropped. "...T-t-three months?!" She exclaimed.
Lala whistled. "Damn boy, you got skills." She added.
"I know! I'm the youngest colt ever to win a professional video game tournament." Button Mash said.
"I wondered where you went for a month." Diamond Tiara said.
"It was Sweetie Belle's idea to try." Button Mash said. "It's how I earned my Cutie Mark." He added.
"...Bwah?" Diamond Tiara then fainted.
"Video games? You play video games? Me too!" Terror said.
"Yeah those two are perfect for each other." Sweetie Belle said.
"Guess you get Terror. And he's just a gamer." Tex said.
"Not just a gamer! Do you know how often I've had to defend my collection from bandits in the past? It's a lot." Terror said.
"There's a lot of talking going on, and not a lot of action." An orange version of Tex spoke up.
"Hey, she's a Patamon." Button Mash observed.
"My name is Pala. It's nice to meet you." The Patamon said.
"Another flying pig. Tex wasn't kidding about not being able to use the idiom of 'when pigs fly' around here as there are actually flying pigs." Scootaloo said.
"Tell me about it. But, if she gets paired with someone, she can help you fly." Rumble said.
"Oh you poor thing. A pegasus should be able to fly no matter what. And I really want to do my best to help." Pala said.
Ba-dump Tex thought to himself. For a change, he was just speechless.
"Would really love to help you. Scootaloo, right?" Pala asked.
"Yeah. That's me." Scootaloo said.
"I'm helping too." Rumble Said.
"And I bet Tex there would love to help too." Pala said.
"Y-yeah. Sure." Tex said.
"Then it's decided! This is going to be AWESOME!" Pala said.
"You bet! I think you'll be a good fit with me." Rumble said.
Ba-dump Tex thought to himself again.
"Oh yeah, we're going to have AWESOME happen." Pala said.
There were still Silver Spoon, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle left to click with any of the Digimon. There was one digimon that was more off to the side of the rest of them. A strange black dinosaur.
"Isn't that a Black Augumon? I remember that from the Digimon World DS video game." Button Mash said.
"Him? That's Draco." Tex said. "Probably the most experinced member of the entire castle outside of Mistress Rose." He added.
"He seems a bit reserved." Apple Bloom went up to him. "Hi, ah'm Apple Bloom." She said.
The Black Agumon just said nothing. "...Not much of a talker, is he?" Silver Spoon asked.
"This is the first I've seen him being so silent." Tex said.
"Says the one who's basically the local Karen." Draco said.
"...Now you know I'm not that bad." Tex said.
"The hell is a Karen?" Scootaloo said.
"It's a term for someone whose become so arrogant and full of themselves." Sweetie Belle said.
"I said I'm not that bad. I just say the least amount possible to get my point across is all." Tex said. "Mostly don't need to say anything more than that." He added with a roll of his eyes.
"More of a 'take action rather than use words' type huh?" Rumble asked.
"Yeah. That's me in a nutshell." Tex said.
"Then your even more perfect for Scoots. She's the same way." Rumble said. "Which is why I think she's awesome." He said.
"And once she's in the air, she'll be more awesome I bet." Pala said.
Ba-dump Tex thought to himself.
"Doubt I'd get along much with any of you." Draco added.
"Hey, you don't know that!" Apple Bloom said. "And you especially don't make assumptions like that. Miss Cheerilee says not to assume anything. Ah keep asking her why but she says ah'm not old enough for that kind of explination." She added.
"And she's right. You're not. Because of bad laungauge." Draco said. "I'm thinking I'll get along just fine with you." He said.
"...No. I don't think so. Your not that kind of person Draco. Try Silver Spoon." Tex said.
"Err...no offense, but he's already connecting with Apple Bloom over there." Silver Spoon said.
"Yeah, but your totally more about action over words." Diamond Tiara said.
"No, I think you'll do fine with Silver Spoon." Tex said.
"It's not really your choice now is it?" Draco asked.
"Yeah!" Apple Bloom said.
"But she's a farm girl." Tex said.
"So? I used to do farm work all the time before I joined the knights." Draco said.
"YOU DID?" Practically every other digimon in the room; yes even Selina and Rose; shouted out.
"You don't know everything about me." Draco said.
"...What are the chances?" Diamond Tiara said.
"Hey, whose this digimon?" Sweetie Belle asked, pointing at a seperate rabbit creature. This one was way different from Terror and Lala.
"Wait we have a Lunamon in the castle?" Tex asked.
"You mean you don't know her? She's probably the most famous singing digimon on our staff. Her songs never fail to raise spirits around here." Rose said.
"You can just refer to me as Princess if you wish. In fact, pretty much everymon else does." The Lunamon said with a giggle.
"Singer huh? Definatly will fit with Sweetie Belle then. I think her singing is really something else." Button Mash said.
"I'm not that good. Promise." Sweetie Belle said.
"Nonesense. Your the one that sang our cutie mark crusader theme song initially." Scootaloo said.
"Wait she did? I wanna hear." Diamond Tiara said.
Seeing no other option, Sweetie Belle did as told. And when she was done, pretty much the entire room erupted in applause.
"That was just as good as Princess here." Draco admitted.
"Not gonna lie, that was some awesome singing. We should totally duet sometime." Princess said.
"Th-thanks." Sweetie Belle said.
"Hey, is it just me or did I feel a little magic in that song?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"Wasn't just you. I felt it too. It wasn't much, but it was there." Silver Spoon said.
"So...my singing is magical? Wow." Sweetie Belle said.
"I think if you poor enough heart in your singing, you can even cause some kind of boost to anyone you want." Diamond Tiara said. "In fact, I'm sure you can." She added.
"I'll have to try that some time." Sweetie Belle said.
"...I don't know what scares me more: The fact that that actually makes sense, or that it's Diamond Tiara saying it." Scootaloo said.
"I'm sure if this was Lala saying that I'd feel the same way." Tex said.
"So, that leaves Silver Spoon now." Lala said.
"...And she says something obvious instead." Tex said.
"Diamond Tiara does that too." Scootaloo said.
"Wait a minute, is that a..." Button Mash realize what one of the knights were.
"It is! It's a Coronamon!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. "They are super rarely found." She added.
"Don't know if Silver Spoon can handle Solar." Tex said. "Even though Solar is by gender definition female, Solar prefers using gender neutral pronouns." He added.
"Really now? I guess that's fair, since I'm still trying to find what I'm sexually attracted to." Silver Spoon said. "Which I'm not sure if I'm straight, Lesbian, or Bisexual, or Asexual yet." She added.
"Heh. Reminds me of how I'm still not sure if I want to be referred to as a girl still, or a guy." Solar said.
"...Never mind. Maybe they'll be perfect for each other." Tex said.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" A female voice said suddenly. In the room was Momma Mash.
"How'd she get in here? Even if she is the mother of Button Mash over here, there should've at least been a dozen guards or so to prevent someone from just marching straight to the elevator until you've identified yourself at the least." Tex said. Suddenly, a bunch of wounded Digimon showed up as well.
"...Yeah my mom can go completely and utterly bonkers when she worries about my safety. Must be part of how her special talent ended up taking care of foals." Button Mash said.
"Your mom's a caretaker?" Sweetie Belle said.
"I thought I mentioned that before." Button Mash said.
"...You know, now that I think about it, I remember you saying that some NPC in one of your games that took care of orphans reminded you of your mother. I didn't think you meant like that though." Sweetie Belle said.
"So, can some pony or some creature please tell me what the heck is going on here? I come into your room, then find your TV all messed up, and now I'm stuck in this area. As soon as it was confirmed that you were here, I rushed up here." Button Mash's mother said.
"It's nice to know you care about Button Mash, Mrs. Heart." Sweetie Belle said.
"Oh please, I've told you that you can just call me Cream." Cream Heart said.
"But that almost sounds like something I'd put in coffee. And I don't drink that stuff." Sweetie Belle said.
"To be fair, not a lot of ponies do. Least of all pegasi." Rumble said. "I made the mistake of drinking coffee once. Couldn't fly straight the entire day after." He added.
"So that's why you ended up colliding with me while I was riding my scooter." Scootaloo said. "I wondered why you were so disoriented that day." She added.
"And now you know why I told you to never drink coffee if you plan on flying." Rumble said.
"Okay, seriously, what is going on here?!" Cream Heart exclaimed.
"How much time you got?" Sweetie Belle asked.
It had taken a good long while, but eventually, the group of foals caught Cream Heart up to speed on what was happening.
"...I see..." Cream Heart said. "I guess this is the one time you can use your various video game knowledge to your advantage." She added. "Still, do you even know how long you'll be away for?" The earth mare asked.
"You aren't going to stop me from saving the world essentially?" Button Mash asked.
"I could, but then that would be a bad thing. After all, if you don't save the world, who else will? And besides, you won't be alone. So I can at least have knowledge in the fact that your friends will keep you safe." Cream Heart said, before turning to Terror. "...Well, them and these Digimon." The mare added.
"I'll try to save the world as fast as I can mom." Button Mash said.
"That's great for you, but we were out for a school camp." Diamond Tiara said.
"Don't worry, I'll simply cover you if you end up taking more then a day." Cream Heart said. "But do try to be home before the week ends; I would hate to have to spill the beans on what you really did." She added.
With that, Button Mash's mother left the way she came in.
"...Damn Button, your mom is something else. I wish my mom was like yours." Diamond Tiara said. "I take back all the nerd stuff I've said about you over the years." She added.
"She was right about one thing: My video game know how is going to help us to a degree. After all, I know a lot about Digimon." Button Mash said.
"I do too you know." Sweetie Belle said.
"I know. But you don't know every thing I do." Button Mash said.
"Prove it." Sweetie Belle said.
"Sure. Terror, see that far wall?" Button Mash asked.
"Sure." Terror said.
"Launch a Howling Wind attack in that direction." Button Mash said.
"Err...okay." Terror said before doing just that.
"Wha--" Sweetie Belle was stunned.
"How'd you know he could do that?" Scootaloo asked.
"Had a feeling." Button Mash said.
"...Okay, you've proven your point now. Should we get going?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"We could, but it's getting late. It was already night time when we got here." Button Mash said.
"Yeah, it does look like it's pretty dark out. Guess we're staying the night." Silver Spoon said before getting out a tally sheet.
"What are you doing?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Going to keep a tally of how many nights we spend here. Just for reference's sake." Silver Spoon said.
"Uh huh. You do you." Apple Bloom said.
"...Why do I feel like that'll be important later?" Scootaloo asked.
"I don't know why, but I have the same strange feeling." Rumble said.
The group of fillies exited the castle, ready to begin their adventure.
"So, the Volcano in question is actually several days travel from here. But we should reach there before seven days pass." Tex said. "And I'm certain close by is a digimon village." He added.
"I may have a lot of game knowledge, but this part of the digital world has never shown up in a game before. I should know, I've played every game possible so far." Button Mash said.
"In that case, we better just head for the village for now." Diamond Tiara said.
"Not a bad thought. The place could allow us to gather supplies for the road ahead." Sweetie Belle said.
"My thoughts exactly. And we don't know what we'll be dealing with along the way." Button Mash said. The group traveled there, with Pala, Tex, and Rumble taking the time to try and get Scootaloo to fly.
"Alright, let's try something different this time. Let's try to relax before you take off." Rumble said.
"Relax? Relax how?" Scootaloo asked.
"Don't mean stop walking. I mean relax your mind." Rumble said.
"Oh. That makes more sense." Scootaloo said.
"Those two...it's like they are just made for each other." Diamond Tiara noted.
"Hey, if any pony's going to get Scoots in the air, ah know I can trust Rumble." Apple Bloom said.
"What makes you so sure?" Silver Spoon asked.
"Silver Spoon, I doubt it's that complicated." Diamond Tiara said.
"Yeah. Ah can't say why I trust Rumble to help Scootaloo so much; ah just do." Apple Bloom said. "Call it a gut feeling." She added.
"Good enough enough for me." Diamond Tiara said.
"Wha-Deets, are you sure about that?!" Silver Spoon exclaimed.
"I trust Apple Bloom's judgement okay?" Diamond Tiara countered.
"...What the heck is happening?" Silver Spoon said to herself, quiet enough not to be heard.
"So I was thinking by the way, I have a lot of apologies to make at school. Think you'd be willing to stick by me?" Diamond Tiara asked.
"So long as you promise to stick it to your mother when this is over." Apple Bloom said.
"I was going to do that anyways." Diamond Tiara said.
Apple Bloom smiled. "Good. At least something good can come from her teaching you a few things." She added.
"I honestly can't wait to see the look on her face when I do." Diamond Tiara said, smiling.
"Not much further now." Tex said.
"And with time to spare too." Pala noted.
"Uh oh. I smell bandit Digis." Draco said.
"You can smell those guys?" Princess asked.
"Draco has a lot of experience dealing with them, I'll just say that much." Tex said.
"Tex, you should really stop being such a Karen." Scootaloo noted.
"Oh come on; not you too!" Tex said.
"We can discuss this later. Let's save that village from the bandits." Draco said.
It really didn't take that long for the group to defeat the bandits with the help of their digimon friends.
"Yeah. That'll learn 'em." Apple Bloom said.
"Nice well placed kick, by the way." Draco said.
"Thanks." Apple Bloom said.
"Did you have to hit that one bandit there of all places?" Lola asked.
"That probably hurt a lot worse than any of his other injuries." Diamond Tiara said.
"He was leering at me. So I just gave him his just deserts." Apple Bloom said.
"Err, Apple Bloom, I was looking, and I know he wasn't leering at you." Scootaloo said.
"I was looking too, and he simply just was not covering himself well." Rumble said.
"...Apple Bloom, are you a lesbian?" Tex asked.
"Seriously? THAT'S the question you're going to ask her?" Pala asked.
"...Is that obvious?" Apple Bloom asked.
"And why, pray tell, are you not offended by me then?" Draco asked.
"You at least have the decency to cover yourself." Apple Bloom said.
"...Dang. A farm girl with a preference for mares. And I thought she'd be traditional. For once, I'm glad she's not." Diamond Tiara said. She then went up to Apple Bloom. "Well I personally don't think any less of you for being lesbian. Heck, I think that it's neat that you can be proud of being lesbian." Diamond Tiara said.
"Thanks for that, Diamond." Apple Bloom said.
She...she called me by my first name. She's never done that before... Diamond Tiara thought to herself.
"That was a nice sentiment you just said Diamond. As far as I'm concerned, you just earned major respect from me." Scootaloo said. "So, I'll forgive all the teasing and bullying you did, and consider you a friend." She added.
Silver Spoon was looking up. "Dang, rescuing the village took the entire day. We should spend the night and head out at first light." She added.
"Good idea. The path to the volcano is much easier to see when it's bright enough to see." Pala said.
"Tch, of course you'd say that." Tex said.
"Tex, stop being such a Karen." Rumble said. "And help me with Scootaloo in a bit." He added.
The group was on the road again when they had to stop briefly to stop some Digi-bandits from taking off with some merchandise.
"Ugh...I really hope next time we come across floating digimon, that I can actually fly out towards them." Scootaloo said.
"Remember what I told you: If your having trouble, take a step back, and breath." Rumble said. "Trust me." He added.
"I just hope your right." Scootaloo said.
"It worked for me." Rumble said.
The group continued their treck, with Tex keeping a look out.
"I think we're close to Cipine Rest Stop; a small hotel that was set up between Castle Village and Alpine Town since the distance between the two Digi-cities is so vast." Draco noted.
"Uh oh..." Rumble noted that there were more floating Digi-bandits.
"Seriously? So soon?" Pala noted.
"Wait, it's those same bandits!" Scootaloo said.
"Seriously?" Tex said.
The group rushed towards the Cipine Rest Stop, only to see a digimon known as Growlmon being taken away.
"Oh no! Those bandits have digi-napped the Inn's owner! Without him, the inn will not be able to function!" A digimon known as Renamon said.
"Those bandits look like they were heading westward, away from Alpine Town." Princess said.
"But that makes no sense. That would be on the ground. Nowhere near the sky." Scootaloo said.
"That...actually would be strategic for floating digimon." Diamond Tiara said.
"What do you mean? They can fly. Why not make a flying hideout?" Scootaloo asked.
"That would be far too obvious." Diamond Tiara said.
"Huh? I don't get it." Scootaloo said.
"Ah do. It would be far too obvious for floating digimon to use a flying hideout. So using a ground base would be less obvious that flying digimon to use. It'd catch your foes off guard." Apple Bloom said.
"Exactly." Diamond Tiara said.
"Huh. You know now that she explains it, that does make sense for a bunch of bandits if they didn't want to play fair." Rumble said.
"Fair point..." Scootaloo said.
The group managed to find the hideout, and inside were tons of flying or floating digimon that were bandits.
While the group did their best to combat the flying digimons, Scootaloo was often not able to finish things on her own.
"Scootaloo, you need to fly, like, now!" Tex said.
"But...but I've been trying!" Scootaloo said.
"Scootaloo, remember what I told you? Take a step back, and breath!" Rumble said.
Scootaloo had no other options, so she decided to do just that, this relaxed her. With her mind more clear, she suddenly began to feel the air around her wings. She focused on that, and before she knew it, she was flying!
"I-I can fly?!" Scootaloo said and was able to maintain it. "I CAN FLY!" She exclaimed.
"Go Scootaloo!" Silver Spoon said.
"Now kick the flanks off these floaters!" Diamond Tiara encouraged.
"I'm on it!" Scootaloo said. With Scootaloo actually flying, the group was able to defeat the bandits's leader and rescue the Growlmon.
"I have you all to thank for rescuing me. As a reward, I'll let you stay tonight in the Suite for free." The Growlmon said, once the group returned him to Cipine Rest Stop. "I insist that you do so." He added.
"Sure, we can stay for the night." Tex said.
"You don't have to be a Karen about it." Lola said.
"Why does everyone keep bringing that up?" Tex asked.
"Well Scootaloo, I think Rainbow Dash will be proud of you." Rumble said.
"I think so too. Thanks for everything Rumble." Scootaloo said.
"Ha! You think I'm done helping you yet? Now that your able to get in the air, the real fun can begin. Hope your ready." Rumble said.
"Oh I am SO ready!" Scootaloo said before the two turned in for the night.
"Those two are perfect for each other, don't you agree?" Button Mash asked Sweetie Belle.
The group had managed to make it to Alpine Town from Cipine Rest Stop without any issues whatsoever, but it did take them the entire next day to make it to Alpine Town. Thankfully, the Volcano was not that much further away: Just a journey of one day.
"Phew, this has been a long journey." Apple Bloom said as the group traveled to the Volcano.
"Indeed. We'll be back home with a whole day left for Spring Break at this rate." Silver Spoon said. "We've already been here for Five Days." She added.
"So, once we make it to the Volcano, we'll have been here for six days total." Sweetie Belle said.
"I just hope mom has been able to cover for us good so far." Button Mash said.
"I trust that she's thought of something." Sweetie Belle said.
"I only know that after all this, I am SO going to break free from my mother. Daddy is not going to be happy about what she's done behind his back." Diamond Tiara said.
"Heh, not going to hold anything back I take it?" Apple Bloom asked, a little teasingly.
"You know it." Diamond Tiara said.
The group had been given enough supplies and a tent to rest in at the foot of the Volcano, which they gladly used. The following day, they had decided to enter the volcano, with some volcano protection gear on for the fillies; specially designed of course.
"I'm so glad this gear isn't too bad to fly in." Scootaloo said.
"Me too." Rumble said.
"Hey, that entrance wasn't there before." Draco noted.
"It must be Malafor's handiwork. Let's head inside everyone." Tex said.
The cave entrance had led them into the heart of the volcano itself, and at the very end of the path they had, they found a large purple dragon, one even Diamond Tiara could tell was exuding with an evil aura.
"You...you have to be Malafor." Diamond Tiara said.
"How ironic is it that I would find myself in this world? I've been patiently regaining my strength, using the volcano as my power source." Malafor said.
"So THAT'S why the Volcano has been acting so strangely and agitated." Draco said.
"You fiend. If you continue to siphon power from this Volcano, it'll erupt and cause lots of damage to the areas we digimon use to survive!" Pala said.
Ba-dump Tex once again felt his heart beat at that.
"Do I look like I care? The world should've been mine, but I was defeated by a mere miracle. Trust me when I say, you won't get such a miracle." Malafor said.
"It's a good thing they have a cheer squad." Rose's voice came over the digi-vices that the foals had.
"Rose?" Button Mash asked.
"Hit it!" Rose said. It was then that music began to play over the Digivices.
"Wait..that music...what the hell? What is that music doing here?!" Malafor exclaimed. "Well, whatever, it won't matter in the end." He added.
The foals and digimon started battle with Malafor, which was very tough. The evil Purple Dragon was using breaths of Fire, Electricity, Earth, Ice, Wind, Shadow, Fear, and Poison against them.
"Be careful not to get hit by those breaths." Rumble said.
"Thanks captain obvious." Silver Spoon said.
"I'm surprised that wasn't me that said that." Diamond Tiara said while she dodged a fire breath attack.
"I'm just as surprised it wasn't you." Apple Bloom said.
"Can we focus here?" Button Mash said, doing his best to protect Sweetie Belle.
"Aw, it's like a knight protecting his princess~" Princess said.
"Look out!" Terror said, using his wind powers to counter Malafor's own to protect Princess.
"My knight~" Princess said, before giving Terror a smooch.
"Ugh...did NOT need to see that." Tex said.
"Would you please not be a Karen right now?" Pala asked.
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Tex said.
"Maybe you should file a complaint. You know, provided you survive." Draco said.
"Ouch. That was way too dark." Apple Bloom said.
"Your right, I'm sorry." Draco said.
"I'm surprised that wasn't me." Lola said.
"That doesn't mean anything coming from you." Tex said.
"Stop being such a Karen." Scootaloo said as she dodged a Poison breath attack.
"WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP BRINGING THAT UP?!" Tex exclaimed.
"Look out!" Pala used her wind powers to protect Tex.
Ba-dump Tex felt his heartbeat from that.
The long drawn out battle of back and forth attacks from the Digimon attacking Malafor, the foals attacking Malafor when they could, and Malafor trying his best to defeat them, was coming to a close when Malafor had to land because of his injuries.
"How could I lose again?! And not even to a Purple Dragon dragon this time at least!" Malafor said, as the attacks started to push him into the lava of the volcano. "Well whatever, I'll come back and try again some other way." Malafor said.
"Not this time; I've gotten rid of your respawn. This time Malafor, you won't be coming back!" Rose said as Malafor was pushed all the way over the cliff edge.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Malafor said as he fell to his death once and for all.
"That...was some battle..." Scootaloo said.
"Indeed. And now it's time for you to go." Rose said.
"Hope we don't come back here. Nice as you all are, I don't want to come back." Diamond Tiara said.
"Same, actually." Apple Bloom said.
"I'm surprised that wasn't me that agreed with her." Silver Spoon said.
"I know." Button Mash said.
"Thank goodness your going." Tex said.
"Would you stop being such a Karen?" Pala asked.
"WHY DOES EVERYONE KEEP CALLING ME THAT?!" Tex exclaimed.
Present day
"...And that, is why I know Tex." Scootaloo said, finishing her story.
"Wait, that's the story? That's what you did when you were gone for six hours?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Like I said, for us, it was six full days." Silver Spoon said.
"We got along quite nicely with each other during that adventure it seems." Diamond Tiara said.
"Yeah. It was really big." Button Mash said.
"Not to mention epic." Sweetie Belle said.
"You said it." Rumble said.
"You only managed to do it with Digimon help." Tex said.
"Can you not be such a Karen right now?" Rob asked.
Cole was packing his things when Dr. Krono suddenly showed up.
"Leaving now, are we Cole?" Dr. Krono asked.
"Indeed. You know, it's funny, now that you are at your roadblock, you had managed your own circle. Landing at a similar start for yourself as where you began, yet a different start all the same." Cole said.
"Just like how this world was born because of Malafor almost destroying it, and the story of this world ended with Malafor's death huh?" Dr. Krono asked.
"Breaking the fourth wall are we? I thought that was Pinkie Pie's thing." Cole said.
"Does it matter? So, where are you going from here as you continue your own circle Cole?" Dr. Krono asked.
"I'm not sure yet. I'll know when I get there though." Cole said. "And what about you? Your vacation is over by now." He added.
"Going to go back to Angela so we can start packing. I've discovered a strange galaxy with loads of chao in space ships roaming it. Thinking I'm going to go check it out." Dr. Krono said.
"...I see. You be careful then." Cole said as he started to head off.
"Good luck finishing your own circle, Cole." Dr. Krono said as Cole walked off.
