Jason decides to take a trip back to Equestria after many years

Matthew- no, that name has been dead to him for years, Jason returns to Equestria to check up on what Lauren Faust has created. However, pony years are a lot faster than human ones, so 10 years away from Equestria for him would be near Celestia's age in pony years.

"huh, I wonder how little Tia is doing, might as well check up on her too."

A faded memory (prologue)

Jason looked over the world he was creating. It seemed to be coming together so perfectly, filling him with glee. There is no better feeling than the joy of creation. If any of his creations could actually see him, they would be able to see the wide grin on his face, but they didn't even have the knowledge that he existed. Jason was content with that as long as his world remained peaceful. Jason decided to pop into his pocket dimension to get some sleep. He laid down under the covers of his bed and drifted off into the world of dreams and memories.

Matthew was stumbling over his hooves. He would still have to get used to this, what were they called again? alicorn? yeah, he would still have to get used to his alicorn body. A light teal coat, lime green mane and tail, and his signature deep brown eyes, a horn on his head and wings on his back. Lauren Faust created a world of true beauty and opened it up to many. Any human who crossed over became an alicorn for the duration of their stay in this pony world. This concept was so cool to little 4 year old Matthew. Soon enough, he would figure out how to use this body, be taught magic, and even how to fly! All of these concepts were like a dream to him, and here he was, living the dream.
~~~~
"huh, that was my first day in Equestria... It seems so long ago.... I am 15 now, probably ancient in pony years. I wonder what other memories I have in here" Jason had said to himself as he ran through his memories in his time of sleep.
~~~~

Matthew was doing it, he was flying. He felt the gentle breeze on his face and his mane blowing in the wind. There was a happy smile on his face as he soared through the skies. He recalled that he could lay on clouds, he always wanted to do that. Matthew found a fluffy little cloud, snuggled up on it, and went to sleep.
~~~
"That was my first week. I was so happy back then. those times made me the person I am today."
~~~

Matthew was now levitating small rocks in the air as he practiced magic. The mere action filled him with joy, causing him to giggle. He truly was a happy child. Other spells were practiced, such as healing. Matthew was told it would be helpful if he ever got hurt playing. This was told to everyone who learned the spell, but it still made Matt feel special.
~~~
Lauren was so kind to everyone, she took us in and taught us how to operate in her world. I knew how to control that alicorn body I got from crossing over within two weeks. She was always so gentle with us, She taught us how to create life and our own worlds. A year of study and I remember I took off to make my own worlds. I was only 5 when I started my first own world, look where I am now! I have created so many successful worlds thanks to her training, her patience, and her kindness. hmm... I wonder if she is still around her world, maybe I can help her teach some of the new kids she's probably teaching. On that note, I wonder how her two daughters are doing... I remember Tia and Luna from when they were born. Tia was the one with the white coat, pink mane, and innocent eyes, Luna was the one with the dark blue coat and pastel blue mane, and once again had innocent eyes, like her sister. I remember how the older kids always swooned over the two. I remember holding Tia and Luna before. Tia was about a year older than Luna. I left a few months after Luna was born. I wonder how they are doing now, I better go check on them.
~~~~

Jason got up from his bed, stretched his legs, grabbed his pendant and old notebook, and willed a portal into existence that would bring him to the beloved land of Equestria. He remembered that he used to always make a flashy entrance, maybe right in the center of the Everfree kingdom. Wait- why was there a forest here now? and why did it look evil? ehh, didn't matter, Jason used what he had learned over the years to create a spell that would restore the structures and clear any evil or malicious anomalies. It would just need a few hours to charge.
~~~
Whatever Twilight was expecting to wake up to in the dead of night, frozen-in-place red lasers in the sky pointed at the Everfree Forest was not one of them.
"Spike, wake up!"
"what now, Twilight?" the drowsy dragon asked, still half asleep.
"Take a note, we have to notify Celestia Immediately!"
"Can it wait?"
"NO! Look outside, Spike!"
The small dragon looked out the window to see the same lasers that Twilight saw
"Wh-What are those?!"
"I don't know Spike, but they can't be good, Celestia must be informed immediately!"
"Spike, take a note; Dear Princess Celestia, Ponyville might be under attack, but we aren't sure yet. I have found no magic that matches up with what is happening. I will update you if I find anything"
- Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle
Spike sent it off with his dragon fire and they waited for a response, after all, what else could they do?
Celestia was unpleasantly woken from her slumber by a single scroll that hit her horn in a very uncomfortable way. She groggily got up to read it. It was short, sweet, and to the point. But something about it concerned her. She read it over and over again trying to figure out what Twilight could possibly mean by that. She had no explanation and decided it would be best to see for herself. With that, she took to the night sky silently towards ponyville. She hoped this was just a minor thing and not a huge problem, though she would have to prepare for the worst, because she had no idea what to expect.
A Foalhood Friend
View Online
Twilight arrived to the Everfree forest just in time to see it vanish before her very eyes. no explosion, no magic pulse, just poof, gone. There was, however, Zecora's hut in the distance in one direction, and the Everfree Castle in the other. Though the castle looked a lot more... in tact? The lazers were gone at the least, and it seemed to take the Everfree forest with it. But how could anything be powerful enough to remove a forest of Chaos magic? Even Celestia herself could not do it. Thoughts ran through her brain until she noticed a pony in the distance, very close to the old castle. "Who is that pony?" she wondered, "Could they be the cause of this? How did they have this much power?"
~~~

It was a particularly warm and peaceful night upon Ponyville. Celestia noted that there were no lasers above Ponyville. She thought it was just her faithful student hallucinating due to lack of sleep from studying some bizarre topic. That was until she noticed that the Everfree forest was missing. That was not something you see everyday. She had a clear view the Everfree castle. She landed on the edge of the now Everfree Valley. She found her royal student nearby.

"Twilight, I am afraid to ask, but do you know what happened here?" Celestia asked.

"I wish I could tell you, but you know about as much as I do, Princess. Though, there is a pony over there that showed up after this happened, maybe he knows something."

There was in fact a pony in the distance, a very familiar looking pony. They were walking towards where Celestia and Twilight were standing. Celestia recognized him.

"It can't be...." Celectia nearly whispered in surprise and possibly a bit of fear.

"What is it Princess? Do you know them?"]

Jason was close enough where Celestia could see him clearly. Same lime green mane, though it was a bit more curly than she remembered, same teal coat, same deep brown eyes, but his right forehoof was metal. She noticed how it seemed to function exactly like a normal forehoof, and how Matthew didn't seemed bothered by it. A genuine smile formed on his face when he noticed Celestia.

"Tia, is that really you? You have grown so much " Jason inquired in a chipper tone.

"You seem to have grown too, Matthew. It has been nearly 9,000 years since I had last seen you!" Celestia had exclaimed.

That sentence reminded Jason (Matt) the difference in the passage of time between this world and his own.

"Yeah, but I must say it is great to be back. Last time I saw you, you were a little foal, I remember that I could hold you in my arms. Anyway, I'd love to see how much the kingdom has grown over the years. Also, I want to know what happened to the Everfree kingdom, is there an explanation on that?"

Celestia thought about telling him, but decided just to say, "that is a story for another time."

Jason chuckled "Fair enough."

Twilight decided to bud in "Celestia, who is this? And why are they an Alicorn like you? I thought only Princesses could be Alicorns.

Celestia and Jason (Matt) shared a laugh at that statement.

Jason replied with, "Princes can be alicorns too, it is just a little more uncommon. Anyway, who might you be?"

Twilight proudly introduced herself, "I am Twilight Sparkle, personal Student of Princess Celestia."

"Wow, so you are the personal student of my younger sister here?"

Twilight didn't know how to respond to that. her mind was racing with thoughts again such as, "Celestia had another sibling? Why have I never heard about this? He is older than Celestia?!"

"I think I broke her" Jason (Matt) joked, "I also can contact some of the other Alicorns from Lauren's class. I got contact with Zach, Lucas and his girlfriend Ayla, Amy, Juan, I think you get the point."

That sentence broke Twilight even more, she could not find the words to say or thoughts to think.

Celestia nodded slightly and made a noise that con only be described as "mm." Celestia thought about something for a moment. "You will stay with me and Luna in the Canterlot castle if those terms are acceptable to you.

"Sounds good Tia, is that nearby or will I get to stretch my wings for a bit?" Jason had asked

"It is a large distance from here, but I am sure you are capable of flying with me" Celestia confidently stated.

"Sounds good. By the way, I left Equestria when Luna was only a few months old, so do you think she'll remember me?"

"Well, brother of mine, there is only one way to find out."

A peaceful flight

View Online

Jason (Matt) and Celestia were flying over Ponyville currently. Jason noticed a few lights still on in some of the structures below. It looked like a peaceful little town. Jason couldn't help but smile. The cool night air was very refreshing on his face and wings, the sky was decorated with stars that ponykind would never get a close up of. Jason began to wonder if astronomy here had actually gotten that far yet. There was so much about this world that had changed, he didn't know what advancements were made yet and which weren't.

Celestia noticed a look of wonder in Matt's (Jason's) eyes. 'He must be filled with so many questions, after all he hasn't been here in so long'

Jason (Matt) snapped back to reality. glanced over at Celestia and gave a smile. Celestia smiled as well, before going back to focusing on where they were flying.

***

After about an hour or two of flying, they were over Canterlot. What Jason (Matt) saw reminded him of a fairytale. It was a grand city, he was at a loss of words on how to describe it. Though he kept those feelings of awe to himself and just continued flying. Jason (Matt) could instantly tell where the castle was. Jason (M) slowed his speed because they were getting near the Castle. He decided to stick close to Celestia as they prepared to land.

Jason (Matt) stuck close to Celestia as they walked through the halls of the castle. Jason noticed how many guards there were. In fact, they all look like copy+paste of each other. The only noise that could be herd was the clopping of hooves on the marble floor. They arrived at one of the spare bedrooms. It was a decent size bedroom, white colored walls, red carpet, a double bed, a desk and chair, and a lamp. It also had its own private bathroom.

“This is where you’ll be staying until we can make better arrangements.” Celestia had said calmly.

“Alright” Jason had replied

Jason walked into the room, got into bed, and was instantly unconscious. World hopping did take a lot of energy after all. Meanwhile Celestia watched this and shook her head. “Some things never change” she giggled.
She quietly shut the door, and headed back to her own chamber.

***

It was a peaceful night. Luna had not detected any nightmares yet. Though she had to admit it was a little boring, she enjoyed calming ponies down and getting to know them better. She looked around again, still finding no nightmares. She did, however, find a door she didn’t recognize. Curiosity got the better of her, and she opened it, only to find it was blank. Or at least it seemed that way. She tried to enter the door but found that she couldn’t, as if something was preventing her from doing so. After a while, she finally gave up, and decided to just stare at the door. Luna wasn’t even sure if it was out of frustration or curiosity, but something was up with this door.

***

Morning, 6:00 AM

Celestia went to the balcony she always went to in order to raise the sun. She bumped into Luna who was lowering the moon, but Luna has a look on her face that Celestia didn’t recognize.

“Dear sister, it seems something is troubling you”

Luna stares out into the distance for a while before answering.

“We would rather not speak of it. But if thy wish to know, then we shall inform thou. While we were dream walking, there was a new door that we did not recognize. Any attempt to enter the door has resulted in failure, and we cannot see in.”

“A new door, you say? Well, I may have an idea of whom the door belongs too, but I cannot figure out why you wouldn’t be able to enter it.”

“Pre-tell, sister, who might this door belong to?”

“One of our older siblings returned recently, so I would assume it would be his door.”

“You mean to tell us that we have another sibling?”

“He left Equestria when you were very young, I doubt you remember him”

“Where is this supposed sibling now?”

“He is currently asleep in one of the guest bedrooms”
***

Jason was laying in bed, still out cold. Luna walked into the guest room and found Jason. It was time to test what Celestia had told her. Earlier, Celestia had mentioned that “Matt” was an alicorn. There was a horn on his head, that was for sure, Luna pulled back the covers Jason was under, and sure enough he had wings too. His teal coat and lime green mane both shined in the sunlight from the nearby window. His cutie mark was a clock if some sort. It was blue around the sides and had an inscribing on it in language she didn’t recognize. That’s when she noticed the metal foreleg. It wasn’t like the other robotics seen in Equestria, in fact, Equestria didn’t even have the technology for cybernetic limb replacement.

Just then, the gaps in the limb, probably made to allow for joints to move, lit up with a sky-blue light, and Matt began to stir. Luna panicked and casted a spell of invisibility on herself.
***

Jason stretches out his organic limbs, and checked the joints on his metal foreleg. He got out of bed and pulled a notebook out of his mane. He sat down at the desk and began to write in it with the feather and inkwell that was ok said desk.

-Journal Entry 83,578

“I arrived in Equestria again last... night? It’s hard to tell with the time difference. Everything seems peaceful, which is a good sign. I am currently staying in the Canterlot Castle. It seems Tia and Lulu have grown a lot since last I’ve seen them. I wonder if word will spread of my return. Anyway, that’s all for now, cya!”

-Matt

Jason then put the journal back in his mane. He stretched out his wings one more time before leaving the room. He grabbed the doorknob with his metal hoof and pulled the door open. He walked out and closed the door behind him. Luna was still slightly in disbelief that they had another sibling. That and the cybernetic foreleg. It just put her on edge slightly.

***

Jason was about to go set off to find Celestia so he could ask her where the cafeteria was, but instead bumped into her the moment he began walking in a random direction.

“Mornin’ Tia.”

“Good morning, Matt.”

“I was just about to go get some breakfast, but I have no idea where the cafeteria is.”

Celestia chuckled a bit, “oh, I nearly forgot to show you, follow me.”
***

“So, I was thinking about the old village that was near the Everfree castle and camp and umm, I was hoping I could repair and renovate the castle and raise a new city around it.”

“That sounds like a wonderful idea, brother, but it seems like it would take a long time.”

“Was that a pun based on my ability?”

“Oh, I didn’t even realize it. But do you think you have the dedication to achieve your goal?”

“Yes, I will never give up and I do what it takes to achieve my goal.”

Celestia nodded approvingly.

“On another note, did Lauren ever tell you that we aren’t biologically-,”

“I am aware of this, but I still consider you and everypony else from back then as family. Just... don’t tell Lulu.”

Jason chuckled “Alright, consider the secret safe with me.”

Jason smiled, and Celestia smiled too.

****

“I still don’t believe that, Twilight. There is NO way that Celestia has another sibling that she didn’t tell you about! I mean, like, you are the closest pony to her other than Luna, and that’s her sister!

“I know that, Dash. That’s why I am trying to find a book about them. So far, nothing has turned up. Princess Celestia seems to recognize him, though, so if I can’t find anything, I will have to send a letter to her, asking about his origins.”

“Whatever, Twilight. I’m just saying, it seems kinda weird that another Alicorn, a stallion no less, would just show up.”

“Dawwww, he showed up in Ponyville and I didn’t even get the chance to throw them a party!?” PinkiePie exclaimed in disappointment.

“Gah, PinkiePie, where did you come from?!”

“Well Twilight,” she explained, “I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation with Dashie and just had to know more! Do you know his favorite flavor of cake? Do you know his name? Do you-“

PinkiePie was cut off by Twilight, who closed Pinkie’s mouth with her magic.

“All that I know is his name, and even then, it’s not like any name I’ve heard before. What kind of name is Matthew, anyway?! Ugh, this is just so frustrating, how can there be NO documentation of him?!”

***

Celestia and Jason were exiting the dining hall. Both of them seemed quite content with the meals they had. As they exited, a scroll appeared infront of Celestia. She opened it and read:

Dear Princess Celestia,

Upon hours of research, I have concluded that there is no information of your brother, Matthew, and would like to discuss his origin with you.”

-your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle

“What does it say?”

“It is a letter from my faithful student. She wants to discuss with me about your origin.”

“Well, that seems kinda silly, why doesn’t she just ask me personally?”

“I am not certain, though I have a feeling that she might not trust you just yet. Hopefully my suspicions are wrong.”

“That’s fair, after all I did just show up last night with no explanation. Anyway, are you gonna write back to her or should I?”

“Hmm... You know, as much as I would like you to personally write back to her, dear brother, I think I should do it just to prevent her from losing their sanity.”

“Aight, Tia.”

While Celestia wrote back, Jason looked around. It felt like they were being watched. Watched by a silly, fun loving entity. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw it. A pink blur heading right for him. He had no time to react before-

“Hi, I’m PinkiePie, what’s your name?”

Now Jason had dealt with weirder and more dangerous stuff than a fluffy little pony. He took a deep breath before answering her.

“Hello, PinkiePie, my name is Matthew.”

“Matthew, hmm? That’s an odd name for a pony, but that’s okay! You must be new around here, I’ve never seen you before. I saw you appear in Ponyville and you left so soon, I didn’t even get to throw you a party!

“Not exactly new here, just haven’t been here in a long while”

“That’s okay! I get to throw you a welcome back party! What kind of cake do you want? What flavor cupcakes do you like? What is your favorite color?”

“Red velvet cake, vanilla cupcakes, and my favorite color is aquamarine.”

Those answers seemed satisfactory. PinkiePie smiled before starting off to god-knows where. Jason turned back to Celestia to find that she watched this whole thing.

“Oh, you finished the letter?”

“Yes, but I must ask, was that PinkiePie?”

“It was. She seems nice.”

“I would question how she got here, but I think I must ask how you reacted so well. Most ponies take a bit to adjust to her.... personality

“Tia, I know when something is a threat to me or not. That pony has nothing but good intentions, and maybe ADHD.”

“ADHD?”

“Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, it is something that I also have, but not at the same level, it’s just a slight mental disorder.”

“A mental disorder, what does this disorder entail?”

“Hyperactivity, inability to pay attention for too long, easily distracted, sometimes makes someone with the disorder ramble on and on, makes it hard to sit still, that kind of thing.”

“That... describes Pinkie a little too well.”

“Seems I already have something in common with one of the elements then.” Jason laughed.

The two continued in silence until they reached the castle entrance/ exit.

“So, we going on a tour of the kingdom?”

“Yes, dear brother, that is what I had planned.”

Jason squeed at that. That little squeaky pony noise he learned how to do from some of the village kids a long time ago. From there, they flew down to Canterlot.
~~~
Spike produced a scroll and handed it to Twilight. She snatched it out of Spike’s claw with her magic and began to read it aloud.
To my faithful student,
If you wish to discuss about my brother, then I implore you to come to the Canterlot castle by tomorrow.
- Princess Celestia
“What’s it say, Twilight?” RainbowDash asked
“It is a letter from Princess Celestia. She wants me to meet with her tomorrow at Canterlot Castle to discuss about her brother!”
Twilight had a sharp inhale before letting out a squeal of joy.
Twilight then started writing a list of questions so she wouldn’t forget them. She had so much to ask her mentor.
Canterlot was beautiful, to say the least. Celestia and Jason had a spell on that made them look like normal ponies. Jason was dark blue in coat, pink and orange in the mane, and looked like a normal unicorn. He also had a notebook as a cutie mark. Celestia was a Pegasus with a pink coat, white mane, and a scroll as their cutie mark. Canterlot was beautiful. It was like a miniature New York, except clean and vibrant. There were shops, ponies, plant life, and restaurants. All things you’d expect to see in a city.
Celestia began, “I’m sure it’s nothing compared to your world, but-“
“It’s still amazing. Also clean, very clean compared to the cities I am used to.”
“Clean?” Celestia inquired, “Are the cities where you’re from not clean?”
*sigh* “There was a reason Lauren had a filter that only allowed the pure of heart into this world, ya know. Most people just don’t care, and the cities just get worse and worse. Also, I guess they are a lot bigger so it’s harder to maintain.”
“Ah. I see…”
“… I miss Lauren.”
“I do too.” Celestia agreed
Celestia stared out in the distance. There were ponies walking down the sidewalk, some stores and restaurants bustling with business, some ponies who were clearly tourists taking pictures, all that stuff.
“Let’s continue our trip.”
“Yeah, let’s get back to touring Canterlot.” Jason (Matt) agreed.
They wandered through the streets of Canterlot, Occasionally stopping to see the sights or look into store windows. Eventually they stopped at a small hat store. They decided to go inside. Soon enough, Jason (Matt) found a solid pink baseball cap.
Tia noticed him staring at the cap.
“Find something that caught your eye?”
“Yes.”
The hat itself looked like a standard baseball cap. No logo, and a hole for a horn to poke through. He didn’t know why, but he felt like getting it.
“Are you sure, dear brother?”
He placed the cap on his head and looked in the mirror. “Yes.”
Celestia giggled, “Oh, alright then, if you are sure.”
“I look great with this hat.” Jason declared
They purchased the hat and continued on their way. The two wandered through the streets of Canterlot for the next few hours. They made occasional stops at certain shops and browsed the wares. The two were enjoying themselves. They finally stopped at a small cafe for some tea.
“I do hope you are enjoying your stay so far.”
“I am most definitely enjoying my stay, Tia.”
The two sat there in silence, drinking tea. After a long pause, Jason broke the silence.
“So, how has life been over the years?”
Celestia stopped for a moment. She reflected on all her troubles, the nightmare moon incident, and having to banish Luna all those years ago. She also remembered the sweet times, between helping earth pony settlers create Ponyville, taking Twilight under her wing, helping Cadence ascent to allicornhood, and Luna’s return.
“I do not believe we can go over everything at this time.”
“Alright.”
They continued to drink tea in silence for a while.
Out of the corner of his eye, Jason caught glimpse of a very familiar purple mare and her friends.
Jason silently got Tia’s attention and pointed at Twilight and her friends.
“What is she doing here?” Jason whispered
“I am unsure, our appointments as scheduled for tomorrow.”
“Think we could eavesdrop in on their conversation?
“Brother, I am uncertain if that is a wise decision.”
“Relax Tia, I got an invisibility spell.”
Before Celestia could get another word in, Jason had already cast the spell on himself. Tia could only sigh in disappointment of her brother.
~~~

“And yer’ sure Princess Celestia has a brother and ya didn’t jus’ dream it?” Applejack asked

“Yes, I am certain.”

“I dunno, Twi, seems kinda unbelievable.”

“Yeah! That’s what I said!” Rainbow dash exclaimed.

“I received a letter from Princess Celestia confirming that he exists and when we would meet to discuss about him.”

“Regardless, ya said yer visit to Canterlot was supposed’ to be tomorrow.”

“I know, but I feel like we need to start sooner. There is no official documentation of him, and yet Celestia recognized him as her brother. This means that there is too much information to collect in just one day, not to mention the other siblings that Matthew mentioned. Twilight declared, determined to ask as many questions as possible.

They looked at one another just to confirm they were all hearing this right.

“Hold up there, sugarcube, yer sayin’ that there are more of em’?”

“That’s what I want to find out, Applejack.” Twilight replied with a little venom in her voice.

“Alright, Twilight, I was just askin’”

“This becomes harder to believe with every word you speak, darling.” Rarity budded in.

“I know, it’s just… ugh, I want to get answers as soon as possible and get the whole story straight.”

Matt quickly and quietly rejoined Celestia at the cafe and took off his invisibility spell, making sure that the disguise spell was still on. Celestia gave him an inquisitive look.

“Twilight is heading towards the castle with the intention to interview you about me early.” Jason explained.

“Well I do believe that Twilight and her friends are going to have to wait. As of now, we are in the middle of drinking tea.”

“Agreed.”

The two sat in silence once again, drinking tea.

Chapter 6

It had been a few hours since Celestia and Jason had returned, despite this, the sun was still shining through the immaculate windows, painted with depictions of great acts. The throne room itself was dead silent, or at least, almost silent. The only sound that could be heard was a squeaky hinge on a certain alicorn’s swivel chair.

Celestia tried to ignore the squeak from the hinge on the chair from the moment he brought it in to the room, but now it was starting to pester her. “Brother, while I am glad that you are enjoying yourself on your swivel chair, are you sure you don’t want a throne built for you?”

“I am more than sure. I can spin around to face the door dramatically whenever someone walks in and say ‘ah yes, I have been expecting you’.” Jason replied with a slightly malicious grin.

“But must you do that every time?” Celestia asked, "You have startled the last three guards who came in here for their shift of guard duty.”

“And it’s fun.” Jason replied honestly

“You are such a colt at times.” Celestia retorted at her brother's foalish acts.

Jason chuckled a little before replying in the most brotherly way possible, “I know.”

Jason went back to spinning around in his swivel chair. Celestia just sighed, but yet smiled. “Some things never change.”

Suddenly, the throne room door burst open. Twilight, with a frazzled up mane and a crazy look in her eyes, ran through with a very confused set of friends including PinkiePie trailing behind.

“Ah yes, I’ve been expecting you, Twilight.”Jason announced as he turned around, revealing that he was wearing a ridiculous looking helmet.

“SEE!?” Twilight exclaimed, “HE IS REAL!”

“Oh damn, my extra defenses weren't enough to stop her. Honestly, I didn't think you'd make it around the floor coated with coconut oil, wait- were you really obsessing over me the entire time? I feel bad for your friends at this point, Twilight.”

Before Twilight could respond to the information that had just been said, a familiar pink pony's voice cut through the air.

“Hii Matty!” PinkiePie chimed.

“Hi PinkiePie!”

Pinkie trotted over and gave him a hoof bump.

“Wait, you know PinkiePie?!” Twilight asked in disbelief that Pinkie would have had any time at all to get to him before she did.

“Everypony knows PinkiePie, and if ya don’t, you will soon. That’s just the rules.” Jason exclaimed excitedly as he pulled out a deck of cards.

“Do you have any sevens?” Pinkie asked

“No, go fish.” Jason replied.

“When did you have the time to start a game of go fish?” Twilight was once again asking in disbelief. The young artificial Alicorn had a look on her face was of both shock and confusion.

“That’s a complicated question Twilight. Time is a weird thing to control, we technically started last Tuesday... or was that next Tuesday?,” Jason asked himself, “now, do you have any eights?

“No, go fish”

PinkiePie and Matt continued their game, they were in the zone, each backed with enough randomness to make a sane creature lose it immediately.

Celestia cleared her throat and turned her attention to the other five mares in her royal throne room, “Well. Though our appointment is scheduled for tomorrow, It appears to me that we could begin today, given our current circumstances and that you have already arrived.”

Celestia took one more glance at the two to her left. Something seemed off, but she couldn’t figure out what. Wait… are they playing go fish with Uno cards?

In an instant, an evil smile showed up on Jason’s face. He stared Pinkie in the eyes as he pulled a card from his hoof. This card was different though. It didn’t say Uno on the back, it said Dos. Pinkie gasped in disbelief. Also, where was that ominous music coming from?

Pinkie countered with a confident smile of her own as she pulled a Tres card from her own hoof.

Matthew stared back in horror. He knew he had been defeated. There was only one thing that could save him now. He placed down his blue eyes white dragon and-

Celestia turned back to the 5 mares still standing in the throne room. All of them were just as confused at what was happening to their right.

“I flip my frying pan face down and end my turn!”

Celestia just sighed. ‘At least they’re having fun,’

“I floop the pig.”

“Nooooooo!”

‘Even if nopony understands it, they’re having fun.’ Celesta mentally said to herself, almost reassuringly. She took another glance and noticed they were now missing.

‘Where did…. Ah, never mind. At least I can give a clearer insight to to Twilight about her numerous questions.’.

Pinkie and Jason went back to Jason’s room to build a pillow fort. Near instantly, they got to work, but realized something very early on.

“I think we’re gonna need more pillows” Pinkie said, pointing out the obvious, the obvious being that they needed more pillows.

“Hmmm… you’re right. Where can we get that many pillows for cheap?” Jason pondered for a moment. Luckily, Jason quickly thought of a solution, the greatest plan, if you will.

“Actually…. Maybe I could run out to the store real quick. You won’t even notice I was gone.” Jason spoke, not giving the pink party pony any time to respond.

In an instant, the majority of the room’s floor was filled with stacks of pillows.

“Wow, thank took longer than expected” Jason commented to himself.

“But it hasn’t even been a second!” Pinkie exclaimed, inspecting one of the pillows closest to her carefully.

“Maybe for you. I paused time here and went back to homeworld so I could buy pillows in bulk. That did take me a couple hours. Then I came back here and took a nap because world hopping takes a lot of energy. Then I resumed the flow of time.” Jason explained quickly, “But that doesn’t matter now because we have enough pillows to build the fort!”

Both Pinkie’s and Jason’s eyes lit up with foalish excitement as they began construction on the best pillow fort that has ever been.

It was finished. Pinkie and Jason had finished building a massive pillow fort in his room. The two were giggling like they were foals.

“This is awesome!” Jason exclaimed.

“Mmhmm” Pinkie responded.

The two were in the fort, snuggled up with blankets. The two were just there, admiring their work, until multiple things of great importance came to mind.

“Ooooh, we should think of a secret password!" Jason said, "oh, and we need to get snacks too!"

“Hmmm,” Pinkie thought, “what about we make the password ‘cupcakes?’”

“Absolutely! Just needs a finishing touch to it, I'll go get snacks from the cafeteria in the meantime." Jason stated, opening a portal

“And that is as far as I can remember about him. Though be aware, there are many other siblings in my family, and given most memory of them was very long ago, you may take what I have told you with a grain of salt.”

“Wow, that’s so interesting! I wonder how the rest of Equestria would react." Twilight exclaimed with an eager look on her face.

“The rest of Equestria will know in due time, as for now, however, I could get you a book filled with the history from that time period if you wish. It will be sent to the library within a few days.”

“Yes please!” Twilight squeed with joy, eager to acquire more books and more knowledge

Surveying the room, Celestia could tell that Rarity had wandered off somewhere. Probably to admire the castle or get inspiration from it. Also looks like Fluttershy wandered off to the garden.

She then turned her attention back to Twilight, “I suppose it’s time that we may want to check up on my brother and Pinkie Pie now. Knowing him, he went to his room to build a pillow fort.

“How would you know that?”

Celestia stared off into the distance for a moment. “It’s a sister’s intuition to know what their brother is doing.”

It was an awkwardly silent walk to Matt’s room. Upon arrival, Celestia could hear giggling from behind the door. Celestia knocked on the door.

“What is the password?” Two voices chimed from behind the door.”

Celestia thought for a moment, recalling Matt’s old passwords. “Is it…..Time rules?”

“Nope.” Pinkie’s voice chirped back

“I got this,” claimed Rainbow Dash, “Is the password Cupcakes?”

“Close.” Jason’s voice came through.

Celestia sighed, pulling out a magically updating book from a small pocket dimension. The book was titled ‘current slang and pop culture’.

As Celestia quickly flipped through the pages, Twilight tried to lean in to see the book’s contents, but Celestia was going too fast. She then looked back at the door.

“Is it Cupcakes69420?”

“Yes,” Jason’s voice spoke in comfirmation, “come in.”

As they came in, they were greeted with the sight of a huge pillow fort, which Matt and Pinkie were presumably inside.

“Exit the fort.” Celestia ordered

“Fine.”
“Okay.”

The sound of many locks being open could be heard from inside the fort. Finally, the two got out of the epic pillow fort. For whatever reason, Pinkie was wearing a top hat and a cooling vest.

Rainbow piped up, “hey Pinkie, what’s with the vest?”

“Oh, nothing to worry about Dashie, it just gets hot in the fort." Pinkie explained

“Are you sure?” Rainbow asked skeptically.

“Yeah! Why would I lie to you?” Pinkie reassured her.

Rainbow stared at the vest for a moment. She then looked into Pinkie’s deep, blue eyes. She also briefly glanced at the top hat.

“Why are you wearing a top hat?”

“Why aren’t you?” Pinkie asked in response.

Rainbow looked around the room, and sure enough, everypony was wearing a top hat. Applejack hat the top hat on top of her stetson.

“Why does everypony have a top hat?” Rainbow asked, confused.

“What top hats?” Jason asked.

“The ones right-,” Rainbow glanced around the room. The only one left with a top hat was Pinkiepie. “Wait, wha-“

“Anyways, I assume you mares got the information you were looking for, right?” Jason inquired, though the question was more directed at Twilight.

“Yep!” Twilight exclaimed, “I got all the information and books I need!

“Well that’s good. We set out for Ponyville today.” The teal Alicorn declared with a determined look.

“Wait, what do you mean by ‘We’?” Twilight inquired, confused as to why the Alicorn planned to come with them.

“The Everfree is just outside the outskirts of Ponyville, which is where I need to be. It would be easier for me if I just came back with you girls.” Jason explained as he packed up a camping backpack.

“Why do you need to go to the Everfree?” Twilight asked in an attempt to learn the Alicorn’s intentions.

“I plan to rebuild the castle and raise a city around it. Quick and simple. Well, maybe not quick, but ya know. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will this city be.” Jason paused for a moment to think, though the others didn’t notice.

Jason then stood up bipedally and put on his backpack. He quickly noticed the shocked expressions of the ponies around him.

“What?” Jason asked the room, confused at their shocked expressions.

Celestia had the courage to speak, “Brother, please, it’s not normal to walk like that here.”

“Fine.” Jason replied, reluctantly getting back on all fours.

“Thank you. I know you may be a bit uncomfortable, but please deal with it for now.”

“Aight.” Jason responded, “All good to go, I guess.” Jason confirmed.

“Can you walk like that, Princess?” Twilight asked curiously.

“Fortunately no, I cannot.” Celestia quickly answered to avoid further questioning about walking bipedally. She shuddered at the though of doing it herself/

“Anyways, are we ready to depart for Ponyville?” The teal Alicorn asked the group, trying the change the subject.

“Well, I guess so,” Twilight responded, “but we have to grab Fluttershy and Rarity first.

“Dawww, but we just finished the pillow fort!” Pinkie pouted, clearly upset that she now had to abandon the best pillow fort in the universe.

“It’s okay. We can build a new one later.” Jason said enthusiastically, already planning to make an even cooler pillow fort. “Aight, enough stalling, let’s go down to the train station already.”

“Not too hasty now, brother," Celestia stopped her brother in his tracks, "you will need an escort. I will send a few guards down with you.”

“Okay. Got it, thanks, Tia!” Jason replied, not wanting to waste any more time

“It is no problem, brother. Now run along, you have a city to build, correct?”

“Yes,” Jason confirmed, “yes I do. I’ll catch ya later!” Jason exclaimed as he began for the exit to the castle.
