It was a bright and sunny day and a little girl was running around playing at a nearby park. The girl's name was Adagio Dazzle and she was having the time of her life. Her mother had allowed her to go outside and play and thankfully the park wasn't too far away from Adagio's house. She, however, was alone because her two younger sisters, Aria and Sonata, had gotten into some trouble so only she was allowed to have fun at the park. Adagio smiled at the thought of remembering what had happened earlier that day. At the time Adagio was only six years old, and by being six she was the oldest one of the three, she felt the strongest and she had the authority over her two younger siblings. What Adagio didn't know was that today she wouldn't be feeling so strong.

Adagio was happily minding her own business in the sand pit. She was trying to make a sand castle, but as she was putting on the finishing touches someone smashed it, destroying all the hard work she had done. Adagio was furious; she looked up and saw a kid that looked around the same age as her, or unless he was just very small. The boy had blue hair and blonde skin, he smirked at what he had done as his two friends laughed. Adagio had never seen this kid before, but one thing was for sure, he certainly didn't make a good first impression on her.

"Hey!" Adagio yelled pointing at the blue-haired boy. "Who do you think you are smashing my sand castle?!"

The boy looked at her and smirked. "Because I can. And besides, I'm doing you a favor, that thing you call a castle was terrible anyways." The boy then stood proud and pointed at himself. "And my name's Flash, Flash Sentry."

Adagio frowned as she looked at her ruined sand castle but then glared at the boy now named Flash. "Well, Flash. That wasn't very nice of you to do."

Flash's smirk got bigger as he took a step forward into Adagio's face. "What are you going to do about it? Cry?"

Adagio was getting more upset by the second. But she wasn't going to let her emotions get the better of her and cry, especially not in front of a bully. Instead of crying she did something... something that surprised even herself. She took a step forward and walked right up to Flash and gave him a hard slap across his face. Flash recoiled from the slap, holding his cheek in pain as a big red hand mark appeared on his cheek. Flash glared as he looked back up at Adagio with hatred in his eyes. He waves his hand to his two other friends who were nearby. The other boys walk over, Adagio looked at them with a bit of nervousness, 'they must be his colleagues'.

One of the boys had green skin and brown hair, he was shorter and a bit on the chubby side. The other one had blue skin and yellow hair and he was the same height as Adagio but clearly he was stronger. Flash smirked as he looked at his two friends, "Wally, Brad, this girl here just slapped me in the face. What do you think we should do to her?"

The green-skinned boy smiled. "We should beat her up, boss. Just like what we did to that kid who thought he could mess with you."

Flash looked at his friend and then back at Adagio with an evil smile. "You're right, Wally."

The three boys were walking towards Adagio. Adagio took a step back, she was scared, she couldn't beat three boys at once. She could maybe beat one of them, but not all three at one time. She took another step back in terror, if she was lucky she might be able to outrun them and get back to her house. Adagio then started to kick into gear as she started running back to her house, her house wasn't that far away so if she was fast enough her plan could work. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't fast enough as the boys were soon able to catch up to her. Flash tackled her from behind and onto the ground. Adagio guarded her face but she never felt any punches come her way. She looked up to see Flash just holding her down as he stared at her menacingly.

Flash smiled and then stood back up. He started walking over to where Wally and Brad were standing. "Oh, boys I was wrong, we can't beat her up."

The two boys looked at Flash in shock. "What!? Why not? She made fun of you, she slapped you! Nobody gets away with slapping our boss, and you're just going to allow her to get away with doing that to you?!"

"No it's ok guys, I mean, look at her." Flash said, pointing at Adagio. "She's ugly, if we beat her up she'll be even uglier than she is already."

Flash, Brad, and Wally all laughed at Flash's comment. Adagio who was still on the ground looked down, she wasn't ugly, was she? Her mom said she was pretty, and so did her father and her friends.

"And look at her hair. It looks like one huge sponge. How could anyone ever like someone like you." Flash mocked.

Try as she might Adagio couldn't help but stop the tears from pouring out of her eyes. Adagio tried to keep the tears in but she couldn't help it. It hurt too much, were her friends and family lying to her about everything? Flash and his friends kept laughing and making fun of Adagio. She hated it, but she couldn't do anything at that moment, she was powerless.

"HEY! STOP THAT!!" Someone yelled.

Adagio looked up, running up to her was another boy around her same age. He stood in front of Adagio as if he was guarding her against Flash and his friends. Flash looks at the kid and creepily smiled at him.

"Anon, what are you doing here?" Flash said, although his tone of voice sounded almost as if he wasn't so happy to see this kid who was named Anon. "My dear friend." The way Flash said friend was off, Adagio was starting to question if the two of them were really friends or not.

Ano frowned at Flash. "Stop making fun of her Flash, you're making her cry."

Flash put his hand on his chin as if he was thinking but he soon stopped and laughed. "How about... no. She started it by slapping me. All I'm doing is saying what's true. She's ugly, and her hair... ugh, don't even get me started."

Anon shook his head. "It doesn't matter, you shouldn't make fun of someone that's not right."

Flash growled, he was starting to get fed up with Anon. "How about I beat the crap out of you, to make you shut up?"

Adagio was watching the events that were taking place. This Anon kid was standing up for her. Flash walked up to Anon, she noticed that Anon took a step back, he was shaking. Before either she could Anon could react, Flash and his friends charged at Anon and proceed to gang up and beat him up. All the while Adagio could just watch in fear and be stiff as a board. She couldn't move, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't move to help Anon.

After a while Flash and his friends stopped beating Anon up. When the three boys were done with Anon they smiled at what they did and decided to call it a day as they left the park to who knows where. Finally, Adagio was able to move and walked over to Anon. Anon was on the ground in pain, he was also bleeding a bit out of his nose. Adagio also noticed that the boys had given him a black eye, she hated to say it but Anon looked like a mess.

"A-are you okay?" Adagio asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's not the first time this has happened to me." Anon said, his voice evident that he was in pain and suffering.

"What do you mean? And who is this Flash guy?" Adagio said, tilting her head in confusion.

"Flash and I have known each other for a few months now. Flash is kinda like the bully here, he always has been. He thinks he's better than everyone. That's how he is, and probably always will be. The two of us have gotten into many fights over the past few months ever since I moved here. I sadly haven't won a single fight against him." Anon said, looking down with sadness.

"I-I'm sorry I couldn't help you. I couldn't move, he's really scary."

"It's fine, nothing I can't handle. Are you okay, he didn't hit you did he?" Anon asked as he started to stand up.

'Even after everything he's still worried about me. He's such a nice and caring guy.'

"I'm fine, but I should be asking you that."

"Oh, this?" Anon asked touching his bleeding nose. "I'm fine. I'm kinda used to this already."

"Oh, ok, well thanks for helping me."

Anon smiled. "You're welcome, it's just me being me. I want to help people."

Adagio looked at Anon in shock. "Wow, is that your dream?"

"Well kinda, my one true dream is to be able to stand up to Flash." Anon said with a smile. "What about you?"

"I'm not really sure. My mom says that I don't have to think about that until later. But I don't know when later is."

"Adagio, honey, it's time to come inside." Adagio's mom yelled.

"Okay, mom!" Adagio then looked back at Anon. "I have to go, see you later, Anon."

"Okay, bye Adagio." Anon said as he waved goodbye. Adagio looked back and waved goodbye to Anon.

As she walked back to her house Adagio started to think back about Anon and Flash. Flash was rude and disrespectful while Anon was kind and helpful, they were two completely different people. Adagio blushed at the thought of Anon. She shakes it off, as she finally arrived at the front of her house. All she did know was that Anon...

Was her hero.

2. A Talk With Sisters

Adagio walked back home from another day of school. Friday's were always good, sadly however this one wasn't. That day her class had a test and Adagio wasn't proud of it of her results, not one bit. It was one of those stupid let's give you an out of nowhere tests for the pain of the students. Why did teachers give out random tests like that? Adagio suspected teachers did that for their pure enjoyment and to make their students suffer. And since Adagio hadn't known about the test she didn't even study for it, so she could only hope she did well on it but she wasn't so sure.

It had been a few years since Anon saved Adagio from Flash and his friends that day. Ever since then Adagio and Anon started to hang out and become good friends. Even some people at their high school started to make rumors about them, thinking the two of them were dating. It was always fun to see Anon's face turn bright red like a cherry when people made that assumption or would come up to the two and ask. Her sisters, Aria and Sonata would make fun of her, but there was nothing going on between her and Anon... at least that's what she thought.

Another thing Adagio had come to realize was the dark past between Anon and Flash. Apparently, Flash and Anon were friends at one point but once Anon saw Flash picking on some other neighborhood kids their friendship soon ended. Ever since Flash would pick on Anon the most for "betraying" him, Flash would mess with Anon both mentally and physically, and because of that Anon had a serious confidence issue. Adagio hated seeing Anon doubt himself in thinks he shouldn't be, but she didn't know how to help or what do to. She could only hope that the problem would pass over and Anon would one day find the confidence back in him.

Adagio opened her bedroom door and threw her backpack on the ground as she fell onto her comfy bed. Looking up at the ceiling, Adagio sighed, she had a secret that she had been keeping from everyone, even her friends and family, and most importantly, Anon. She did indeed have a crush on Anon, a huge crush on him. Whenever someone would ask her if she liked Anon, Adagio would lie and say that she didn't. But the more she lied the harder it became to hold in her little secret any longer. She had to tell someone, anyone for that matter, just not Anon. Although, she was almost certainly sure that her sisters knew about her crush on Anon. The other day she had brought Anon over to her place one time. Sonata, her youngest sister had said something about Adagio bringing her boyfriend over. Aria, her other little sister, slightly older than Sonata, had told Anon that Adagio had a dream of marrying him and having a family together.

Anon was obviously confused and flustered at her sister's remarks, which would not only be the first but last time Anon would ever come over to her house again. Adagio was so sure she was going to die from the embarrassment that day. Her sisters had a lot of fun teasing Adagio that day, and Adagio hated every bit of it. But that was her two little sisters for you, being annoying to their older sister, that was nothing out of the ordinary.

Adagio groaned as she got up from her bed and went to her sister's room. Aria and Sonata were in their room playing and surprisingly not fighting with each other. Now that was a sight to see, normally the two were at each other's necks. Adagio walked into their room and Aria and Sonata looked up at her with confusion.

Aria looked at Adagio and then went back to playing with her toys. "Oh hey, Adagio. Where's your boyfriend?"

Adagio slightly blushed but shook it off. "He isn't my boyfriend!"

"Sure whatever you say Dagi. So, what do you want? I thought you were still mad at us after what happened yesterday?" Sonata said, obviously confused while playing with her dolls.

"Trust me I'm still mad at you two." Adagio was going to say more but she bit her tongue. She came to talk to her sisters not start problems. "But can't we just all get along and be nice sisters to one another?" Adagio smiled brightly.

Her sisters, however, didn't fall for it as both Aria and Sonata turned to face one another and then back at Adagio. "What do you want? You're never this nice to us, unless... you want something from us. So what do you want from us?" Aria asked crossing her arms. Sonata looked at Aria nodded her head and then mimicked what her older sister had done.

Adagio sighed. "I don't want anything from you two. I just, uh... just wanted to talk to you guys. It's gotta do with Anon." Adagio turned her head away from her sisters in embarrassment.

"I knew it!" Aria yelled standing up." He is your boyfriend!"

"Do you hear that Ari?" Sonata asked, putting her hand to her ears. "I think I hear wedding bells? When's the wedding going to be, Dagi? Can we come along?" Almost touching her nose Sonata got close to Adagio's face. "Can I be the flower girl!?"

Adagio pushed Sonata out of her face. "Ugh, there isn't going to be a wedding. Anon isn't even my boyfriend."

"Then what do you have to tell us that involves Anon? Did something happen? He didn't do anything to you did he?" Aria asked. Even though Aria was younger she was still protective of her older sister.

"Yeah, because if he did, daddy would beat him up." Sonata said, punching the air to emphasize her point.

Adagio sighed, rubbing her forehead. She was getting a headache from her two sisters. "No, he didn't do anything to me. I came to tell you that I do in fact like Anon."

"Oooooooh."

The coo from both Aria and Sonata was enough to make Adagio start to think she had made a mistake telling them anything in the first place. "I'm already regretting I told you two."

"Then why did you tell us if you were just going to regret it in the end?"

Adagio rolled her eyes at Sonata. "Because I just had to get it off my chest, ok? I've been keeping it for a while now and I couldn't keep it in any longer."

Aria smirked. "Oh, in that case, I'll tell Anon for you."

Adagio glared at Aria. "If either of you even thinks about doing that I'll tell your crushes about your feelings. And I don't think you would want that now do you?"

"No!" Sonata ran over to Adagio hugging her leg. "Please don't. I won't tell Anon anything, Dagi, I promise!"

"Well, that's one. What about you Aria? You don't want you know who, to know how you feel." Adagio threatened.

"I don't even know what you're even talking about. I don't like anyone. So this doesn't even work for me." Aria smirked as she crossed her arms.

"Oh, so you don't have a crush on Keith-" Adagio tried to say but got interrupted.

"OK!! FINE! We... have ourselves a deal. I won't tell if you don't tell." Aria said as she looked away with a small blush.

Sonata tilted her head. "But why come talk to us of all people?"

Adagio shrugged. "I knew you guys could probably already tell I liked him. So I thought I would come and talk to you guys."

Aria just stared at her older sister. "So that's all you came to tell us?"

Once again Adagio shook her head. "No, I came to see if you guys had any advice."

Looking at her sister dumbfounded Aria sighed. "I don't know, Adagio. From how Anon acts you should first try to help him out, before anything."

Sonata nodded her head agreeing with Aria. "Yeah, that confidence issue is a real problem of his. He'll never be able to ask you out with his current confidence."

"Shut up! He probably doesn't even like me like that." Adagio sadly looked down.

Shrugging, Aria went back to playing with her toys. "You never know. Maybe he does secretly like you."

"So just help him with his confidence problem? That's all I have to do? Just help Anon accomplish his goals of finally being able to stand up to Flash and regain his confidence?" Adagio asked her siblings.

"Is there anything else?" Sonata asked.

"No, now thinking about it. He's not really picky about what he likes. The only thing he's always wanted is to be able to stand up to Flash and stop him from being a bully to everyone. That'll not only be good for him but for everyone else, Flash really is a jerk." Adagio said, thinking about everything Flash had done to others.

"There you go, that's what you do. Help him gain confidence, and help him stop Flash. Then he'll probably fall for you. And if that doesn't work, just know that you helped him with something much more special to him."

"Yeah, she's right. You're perfect with helping Anon out. You're radiating with confidence!" Sonata stood up with a smile. "Sometimes you have too much confidence." Sonata mumbled the last part.

"That's because I'm older than you." Adagio pointed at Sonata. "If I’m overconfident then I'll be cocky like Flash. You don't want me to act like Flash do you?" Adagio questioned looking down at her sisters.

"Flash isn't overconfident though, he's just a big bully. There's a big difference between you and Flash."

"Still my point stands. Adagio has far more confidence than anyone I know. She'll be the perfect person to help Anon get his confidence back." Sonata said with the utmost confidence.

"I know I am, that's why I'm going to help him. And I'm going to be with him for the whole time until the very end when he beats Flash once and for all."

"You said you liked him? Are you sure you're not in love?" Aria questioned as she smiled.

"Shut up! I don't love him! I just have a crush on him." Adagio yelled while a blush covered her face.

"Sureeee. That's why you always talk about him all the time. What did you say that day when you came back home when you went to the park? 'I was saved by a hero today at the park. He saved me from a bunch of bullies. He's my hero.'" Sonata said, mimicking Adagio's voice.

"Hey!" Adagio yelled." "I don't sound like that at all."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Me and Sonata were in a very serious battle until you came in."

"Fine, I can tell when I'm not wanted." Adagio said as she started to leave her sisters room.

"No! You can stay. You never play with me and Aria anymore. You're always thinking about Anon."

Adagio sighed and turned back around. "Fine, I'll stay. Even though I'll win, but still."

"Good luck with that, older sister." Aria smirked as Adagio smirked back at her.

Adagio, Aria, and Sonata all started to play with one another. It had been a while since the three of them all played like this, and it brought Adagio back to when they were younger. Sure the conversation didn't go as planned or as Adagio had hoped it could but it was something. But now Adagio had a plan.

Help Anon get his confidence back.

3. A Run In With Flash

View Online

Monday, a day every kid hates as it was the start of another week. And sadly the day was only beginning, currently Adagio was now walking to school with Anon. It also didn't help that both of them were worried sick for this very day. Their teacher was going to hand out the test they had taken that previous Friday. Neither Adagio nor Anon felt like they had done any good, both with their own reasons in mind. Anon because he had no confidence at all and Adagio because she didn't study one bit. To make matters worse, whenever they did a test like that the teacher would call out everyone's score. Another thing teachers did was to make their students suffer. Were they trying to humiliate the kid for doing badly for their own amusement and show off the students who did good to make others feel worse?

"Hey, Adagio?" Anon asked, snapping Adagio out of her thoughts. "Do you think you did well on the test?"

As Anon looked at Adagio, Adagio looked down, and sighed as she shook her head. "I didn't even study for the test, much less know about it. I can only hope I did well, which would be a miracle. Do you think you did good on the test, Anon?"

Anon mimicked Adagio's reaction and gave an uneasy chuckle as he scratched the back of his neck. "I think I did okay, for the most part. I did have a little trouble with some of the questions on the test but other than that it was alright."

"You know I would normally say you always do well on the tests we have, but for once I have to agree with you. That was one of the hardest tests yet. We'll be lucky if we get a D or higher." Adagio said and Anon could only nod his head in agreement.

"I'm sure we didn't do that bad, you especially. You're smart, I'm sure you passed the test." Anon reassured Adagio.

Adagio noticed how Anon talked more about how she did good on the test and not how the both of them did good. She let it slide however as the two had arrived at school. Rolling her eyes, Adago looked toward the school. "Sure, whatever you say Anon."

Once the two of them entered the gates to the school, they made their way to class. When they walked into their classroom they then took their seats and waited for class to begin. Already standing in front of the classroom was their teacher and he didn't look too happy. Adagio couldn't help but feel sick, she was hating every moment of this, she just wanted to go back to her bed and back into her slumber. Already starting the week off by getting a test score, how fun. The teacher clapped his hands getting all of the student's attention and haulting their conversations.

"I have graded all of your tests from Friday. And I must say, I'm not too pleased with your scores. Most of you either failed the test all together or did below average. Only ten of you actually got a C or above. I will now go over everyone's test, I will save the actual good scores for last." The teacher said, as he pulled out a stack of papers. No doubt being all of the students tests papers with their scores on them.

Adagio was biting her lip hoping it would help calm her nerves, but it wasn't helping. Only ten people got C's or above? This test obviously was one of the harder ones yet, and this made Adagio even more nervous than she already was. As the teacher kept on calling on people's names, Adagio got even more scared by each passing name. After a while, the teacher stopped calling on people's names. Adagio was confused by this, there was still kids who had yet been called on or gotten their tests back. She started silently counted and sure enough, she counted nine plus herself then... ten!

"I have gone over everyone's names that didn't get a C or above. I will now go over those that did get actual good grades, these are the students that got the highest scores on the test." The teacher said.

Adagio's teacher started to once again call out names. Her name hadn't been called yet, so she obviously did better than she had thought which was enough to make her smile at that. The teacher was currently on number five and neither Adagio's, Flash's, or Anon's names were called yet. Adagio felt even more confident, she could actually have a high score for once on test.

"Coming at number three we have Adagio Dazzle." The teacher said as he looked up from the paper and gave Adagio a smile. The class began to cheer for Adagio as she was still sitting down in shock. She looked around and her eyes caught Anon who was smiling and clapping for her, he motioned for her to go get her test and she smiled.

Adagio was jumping for joy in her head, she couldn't believe she had done it, and that Anon was proud of her! She walked up and took the test from her teacher. Adagio looked at her paper that had a big 94 mark on her test. She didn't think she was going to have the third highest grade, much less get a passing grade on the test. She had guessed on almost every single one of the questions. The only two names that hadn't been called yet were Anon's and Flash's names. Adagio was kinda hoping Anon did better than Flash, but she could only hope.

"Coming at number two we have Flash Sentry, and at number one we have Anon." The teacher said, as he once again looked up from the papers and smiled at his two highest scoring students.

Adagio looked back at Flash; he was in shock. Adagio smiled that's what he gets for acting like he's the best all the time, to fall one step behind Anon. Maybe, just maybe now he'll stop acting like a bully and actually start treating people with respect. Anon and Flash got up and take their test from the teacher who said some words to the both of them, words Adagio couldn't hear. As the two got their test, Adagio noticed that Flash didn't look too happy not one bit, but Adagio didn't care. The only think she cared about was Anon getting the best score and beating Flash in something.

Adagio and Anon were currently on their break and were hanging out like always minding their own business. They were talking about the test and how well their results were, that however ended until Flash and his little friends came along to ruin their peaceful talk. Flash grabbed Anon by the collar of his shirt and threw him against a wall.

"You think you're smarter than me just because you got a higher score, huh? You probably cheated on the test! There's no way someone like you could have gotten a better score than me!" Flash yelled.

"Hey! Let him go! He didn't cheat! Stop being a sore loser and get out of here!" Adagio yelled. "Anon studied for that test, he deserved the grade he got, if anyone cheated it was probably you!" Adagio started to walk over to Flash and Anon, to help out her friend in need but she was stopped by Flash's two friends. They smiled and stood in front of Flash, and they didn't look like they were going to let her pass by them so easily.

"Admit it you cheated and nothing will happen to you or your loud mouth friend." Flash looked back at Adagio and then down at his fist. "Or I'll have to beat it out of you until you beg for mercy?"

Anon looked at Flash's fist and got scared, not only for him but for Adagio as well. "Y-yeah, I cheated. I cheated on that test, you're way smarter than me Flash."

"Good." Flash said as he threw Anon to the ground. "Come on let's go guys, it smells like pure failure over here. Oh, and Anon, make sure your friend over there keeps her mouth shut before it gets her in trouble." Flash looked at Anon and pointed to Adagio.

Flash and his friends leave Adagio and Anon alone in the middle of the hall. Adagio walks over to Anon who was still on the ground adjusting himself from Flash.

"Are you okay Anon? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Adagio asked as she bent down to Anon checking to make sure he didn't get any bruises.

"No. I'm fine, I'm used to him doing this to me, remember?" Anon said as he wiped his clothes from the filth they had gotten on them.

Adagio stood up as she helped Anon back up. "Why can't he just deal with the fact he did worse on the test than you? He needs to get his underwear out of his butt. We should tell someone about what he's doing."

"Please don't. They won't do anything anyways. And even if they do, Flash will just come back and hurt us." Anon said as he looked down. "Teachers don't do anything with bullying, they've never done anything to Flash. Flash always gets away with what he does, always. There's no point in telling someone, nothing will be done."

Adagio looked at Anon. "But he threatened you! He held you against a wall, he's beat you up multiply times, we have to do something that might actually stop Flash from bullying not only you, me, but everyone else too."

"That's the thing though. I don't want someone else to stop Flash. I want to be the one to stop Flash." Anon looked at Adagio in the eyes. Adagio noticed the look in his eye, he was serious about this. "So don't tell anyone about this, okay?"

"I would normally say no but since it's you, I'll expect your request. I promise I won't tell anyone about all of this, but if he hurts me then that's a totally different story and not even you will be able to stop me." Adagio said as she crossed her arms.

"You come to me if that ever happens. If he hits you, even so puts his hands on you, you come to me and he'll see a different side of me." The tone in Anon's voice was serious but yet protective, it made Adagio heart flutter a bit.

Adagio then thought about what he had said. "Different side? I don't know if I should be happy or scared about that."

"You don't have to be scared of me." Anon said, just then the bell had rung signaling the end of their break." It's just that if he hits my best friend then he'll see my bad side."

Adagio blushed bright pink. She was Anon's best friend... well his only friend at that, but still! Knowing that Anon cared that much to do something to Flash if he ever hit her, made her feel happy. Going back to Anon having a bad side... she didn't believe it. Anon was nice, maybe too nice at times. He wouldn't hurt anyone, matter of fact he wouldn't even hurt a fly... would he? Maybe if Flash got Anon mad enough he could. But seeing Anon someone who was known as the quiet kid all of a sudden go insane and get angry? Yeah that wasn't something she wanted to see any time soon.

From how Anon acted from what Flash just did, he looked scared out of his mind. Or was it all just an act he was putting on? Adagio looked at Anon, while Anon continued to talk about the test and some of the questions. What if Anon wasn't scared of Flash at all and he only acted like he was? That would make Flash the idiot and Anon the genius. Anon was smart, Adagio knew that, but was he that smart?

"Come on Adagio, let's head back to class." Anon said, as he started walking back to class.

"Yeah, coming right behind you!" Adagio said as she started to catch up to Anon.

Flash was both strong and smart, Anon was smart and kinda strong, well on the inside he was not so much on the outside. At first glance, people could think Flash was the stronger one of the two. But to Adagio, Anon's drive in beating Flash was much stronger than anything she had seen before. The day that the two of them get into a fight, whenever that day comes... something will happen, whether it'll be good or bad.

4. Embarrassing The Enemy

View Online

Ever since Flash threatened Anon a few days ago, Adagio was waiting to seek revenge on Flash. Neither Anon nor anyone else deserved to be bullied by Flash. Adagio had a plan to get back at Flash, once lunch would start she would go back to her classroom, instead of eating with Anon like she always did. Then her plan would commence from there, and it would be a plan to remember. Adagio smiled at her plan, Flash deserved what he was about to get, it would be karma for being a complete jerk to everyone.

Tuesday morning came around, the very day Adagio's plan would come into motion. Adagio woke up that Tuesday morning with a mission. Embarrass Flash in front of the whole class, and have him be the one laughed at. Flash wants to laugh at others and make fun of them, well then it was time to see how he would like it when others laughed at him.

Heading to school that morning, Adagio ran into Anon. For her plan to work, however, she was to keep it a secret from Anon. She hated having to hide something from Anon, but she knew if she told him what she was planning he would shut down the operation before it even began.

"Hi Anon, how are you doing?" Adagio said happily with a bright smile.

"Oh hi Adagio, I'm good. You seem awfully happy today." Anon said with a smile of his own. Seeing Adagio's smile was enough to make him smile as well.

Adagio shrugged her shoulders. "I just am. I have a feeling today's going to be a good day." She looked up at the bright blue sky, she couldn't wait for lunch to arrive.

Yeah, a good day to make fun of Flash and have him get made fun of. Anon and Adagio continued to walk to school together, the whole walk Adagio kept her bright smile. Anon couldn't help but think Adagio was acting a little off but decided to leave it, maybe she was just having a good day.

"Oh Anon, I'm going to be a little late for lunch today, is that okay with you?" Adagio asked, she wanted Anon to know just in case he noticed her missing and thought about finding her and possibly catching her in the act and ruining her plans at getting back at Flash for what he had done.

"Oh okay. Can I ask why you're going to be late?" Anon asked. Normally Anon didn't mind what Adagio did but she was never late for lunch with him.

"I..." Adagio started to sweat a bit, she didn't have a good idea and was trying to think of a lie. "Have to do something for the teacher. I won't take long, maybe two minutes at most."

"Okay?" Anon raised an eyebrow. What did Adagio have to do for the teacher that would make her a bit late for lunch? "As long as it's not too long then it's fine."

Adagio couldn't believe that her little lie worked. She made that up on the spot and it still worked! She smiled, her plan was all coming together, come later today Flash would be the laughingstock of the whole school. And then he would get to feel the pain he was giving all the other students there.

Anon knew something was up now. Whenever the teacher needed something from someone he would say it out loud in front of the class. Although Adagio lied he didn't know what Adagio was up to. Maybe she was just embarrassed to say it? She did get an A- on her last test. Maybe, that was it? Maybe she was going to ask for extra help from her teacher, but then again she always came to Anon if she never understood something. Or maybe it had to do with her cheerleader stuff, Anon knew how much she loved doing cheerleading. Anon decided to leave it for now and ask her later.

Over the years Anon had come to realize just how much Adagio loved doing cheerleading, she was one of the cheer captains at the school, and every time she and her team would put on a performance, it was one to remember. Anon also couldn't help but smile every time he saw how happy she looked doing her flips and spins, plus, she looked cute in her outfit, but Anon was too shy to ever admit that to her face. He didn't want her to think he was hitting on her or something, much less, a creep.

Adagio stayed out of her classroom waiting for her teacher to leave the classroom. Once her teacher got up, she silently snuck into the classroom. She walked over to Flash's desk and got to work, she went into her backpack and took out a screwdriver she had found in her garage. She unscrewed one of the screws from the desk until it came out. The screw fell to the ground, and Adagio smiled, the fun was only just beginning. Once everyone would come back from lunch, Flash would of course come back and sit down at his assigned desk. Now that one of the screws was out the desk would be off balance. Along with Flash's added weight, the desk should break making Flash fall to the ground and become the laughingstock of the school.

Adagio got up from the floor, grabbed her backpack, and ran out of the room without a trace. After a little while she found Anon who was sitting down eating his lunch alone. She frowned, she didn't like leaving him alone when Flash could've done something and not have been around to do something. She shook her head as she put on a smile and walked over and sat next to Anon.

"Sorry about that, I didn't think it would take that long." Adagio said, as she pulled out her lunch and started eating it.

"It's fine." Anon said as he looked at Adagio and then back down at his food "Hey, do you think we can talk after school?"

"Sure." Adagio said with a smile.

What Anon didn't tell her was that he stayed back to see what she was up to. He saw his teacher leave the room, he also saw Adagio sneak in and mess around with Flash's desk. Anon appreciated what Adagio was doing but that still didn't make what she was doing right. This was his battle, not Adagio's. To Anon, he knew why Adagio was doing this. She was probably still mad at Flash for what he did the other day. As much as Anon wanted to talk about it now and have Adagio fix what she had done, it was too risky and he didn't want either of them to get in trouble. A few minutes later the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Anon and Adagio get up and start to head to their classroom. Plus, he did have to admit, he was kinda looking forward to seeing Flash fall flat on his face, but it was only just a bit. Adagio smiled as she had to stop herself from jumping up and down, she couldn't wait to see Flash's face.

When everyone came back from lunch they took their seats as they normally did. Adagio and Anon look over at Flash as he sits down, once he sat down the whole desk broke into pieces making Flash fall flat on the ground. Everyone started to laugh at Flash, they even started pointing at him.

"Wow! He broke his own desk." Said one kid.

"How do you like it now that you're getting laughed at!" Said another.

"All of you shut up!! Who did this?! It was you, wasn't it Anon! I'll get you for this!" Flash yelled in anger, his face bright red.

Adagio kept on laughing, to her this was hilarious. Sure she felt a little mad that Flash was blaming Anon with no evidence, but he was finally getting what he deserved, karma and lots of it. Adagio looked over to Anon, but she frowned when she saw that he wasn't laughing at all. Adagio did all of this to show Flash what it was like to be laughed at, and to make Anon laugh but he didn't even crack a smile. Flash was beating red with anger and embarrassment, as he glared at Anon about ready to pounce on him.

"Flash calm down, I'm sure Anon didn't do anything. I don't have a spare desk so you can just go home early today." The teacher said.

The other kids got jealous at this and groaned upset that they couldn't go home early like Flash was. Adagio's plan had backfired big time for her, sure Flash got embarrassed but now he could go back home early and Anon didn't even laugh. Flash got up from the ground and left the room, slamming the door as he left. It was evident that he was pissed off, but that wasn't her problem to deal with.

School was over for the day and kids were starting to make their way home. Adagio didn't forget about what Anon has asked though. So instead of walking home, she followed Anon until they got to some sort of woods area. Adagio knew where they were, Adagio always walked past this area heading to school and back but she never actually went in it.

"So, what's up Anon? Why do you want to talk to me?" Adagio asked tilting her head.

"I know you were the one that did that to Flash's desk." Anon said emotionlessly as he stared at Adagio.

Adagio looked back at Anon as her eyes widened. How did he know? Did he see her do it? Was he mad at her for doing that to Flash? He deserved it though, so why would Anon be mad at her? All she was doing was getting revenge on Flash for what he had done to them. Was that so bad?

"So I did. But he deserves it for what he did to you. He always makes fun of people and laughs at them. Now he knows what it feels like to be laughed at." Adagio said, she didn't like doing it but she had to hold her ground against Anon. She knew she was in the right, and she was going to continue to fight until Anon agreed with her.

Anon walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "Yes, but that still doesn't make what you did right. I really appreciate what you did, really, I do. But I don't want you to get involved with all of this. This is my fight, I'll be the one to stop Flash's bullying."

Adagio blushed. This was why she liked Anon so much. He wanted to take care of Flash himself, like a true leader. Adagio knew Anon could beat Flash, she was sure about it. Flash wouldn't even know what hit him once Anon was done with him.

"Fine, you're right. I'm sorry, this is your fight, not mine. I shouldn't have done that, especially lie and keep it a secret from you. But come on you got to admit it was funny seeing Flash get all mad and embarrassed." Adagio said laughing as she remembered Flash's face.

"Thank you, and yeah it was pretty funny. Until he started to blame me for no reason." Anon smiled for a brief second and then frowned. "Of course, he would blame me of all people, I don't even sit next to him."

Adagio looked down, it was kinda her fault Anon was blamed, but at the same time, Flash had no right to make assumptions like that. "You can't blame me for that. That's just Flash being Flash."

"True. But it won't be like that for long. My mom put me in some Karate classes to help with people just like him!"

Adagio was surprised at this but then smiled. If Flash ever did try to fight Anon, Anon could be ready and pull a Karate move on him. "Well that's good, has that helped you with your confidence?"

"Um... kinda." Anon said, not sounding confident one bit.

"Kinda isn't good enough. You can't beat Flash with that kind of mindset." Then thought of something and smiled. "Wait! I have a plan!"

Anon looked at Adagio confused. "And that is?"

Adagio smiled brightly. "I know just the way to help you get your confidence back!"

Anon thought about it and smiled back. "That's a nice offer of you. You are full of confidence being on the cheer team and whatnot. I'll put you up for this offer, I don't think it'll work but it's worth a try."

"Trust me it'll work. I know it will, you just have to believe me."

Anon blushed. "Thank you Adagio. For being my only true and best friend." Anon then walked over and hugged Adagio.

Now it was Adagio's turn to blush. Her crush was hugging her, hugging her! It made her even more confident to help Anon get his confidence back. She didn't know how she could help Anon but she was going to try her best. Anon deserved to be able to be confident and she was going to help him out.

Anon felt something from within himself. Adagio doing all of this for him, made him feel happy, really happy. He was going to beat Flash one day and get his confidence back for Adagio. At that moment it hit Anon... he had feelings for Adagio, feelings of more than just a friend.

5. Standing Up To Flash

View Online

The next day Adagio and Anon had gotten to school earlier than normal. Adagio had taken Anon to the back of the school, where the schoolyard was. When they got there Adagio had taken off the jacket she had on, underneath was her cheerleader outfit and Anon couldn't help but get a glimpse of her. To him, she looked absolutely stunning in her cheerleading outfit with her hair tied in a bun.

"Okay, Anon, I know how to help you. Just look at what I do." Adagio said as she placed her backpack on the ground and walked a bit forward and started doing a few stretches.

"Okay... but what am I looking at exactly?" Anon asked with a confused expression plastered on his face.

"I've been trying to learn a new move for my cheerleading routine. But I haven't been able to get it right. I keep falling or I get too dizzy and can't land on my feet. So if you watch me persevere and master it then you'll understand what having confidence is all about. To persevere you have to have the confidence to do so. Just watch what I do." Adagio said as she finished her stretches.

"But I'm here. Won't I get in your way of practicing?" Anon asked. "I don't want to be a bother to you."

"Don't worry about that. Once I'm in the zone I can channel everything out. So to me, you won't even be here." Adagio said as she gave Anon a smile.

Anon looked at her surprised but still with a bit of worry. "Okay?" Anon said cautiously. "If you say so, Adagio. But be careful, if you hurt yourself then I'm going to have to step in and help you."

Adagio blushed at Anon's words. Here Anon was once again being her hero. How could he act like that and not be confident? Adagio sighed, her plan just had to work, so without missing a beat she started to try her new move. The move was simple but could be dangerous if done incorrectly. Adagio had to jump in the air, do a spin, and land on the ground. To one, it may sound easy but it was way more complex to do, more so master. Adagio then jumped in the air and spun; she was able to land but she soon fell to the ground due to the dizziness getting to her.

Anon had seen everything that had happened, especially Adagio falling to the ground. At first, he got nervous but he soon saw her get up and try her trick once again. To Anon, the move didn't even look possible to do as he frowned. Adagio looked over at Anon and saw his frown, seeing that only wanted to push her, even more, to show Anon that anything was possible and to show him exactly what confidence was.

It had been some time since Adagio had started practicing the move she was trying to master. No matter how hard she tried and what she did she kept on falling to the ground, but she continued to get back up for Anon's sake. Seeing Adagio preserve and get back up impressed Anon immensely. If that was him doing that he would've given up a long time ago, heck, he wouldn't even of joined the cheer team in the first place as he would've been scared to mess up or something.

Adagio kept on trying and trying but still proceeded to fail, and the more she tried the closer she knew she was getting. The school bell was about to ring in a few minutes, and time was running out. She was getting closer, she knew it, she was on the brink of a revolution she just had to keep trying. She got back up and took a deep breath, sweat dripping down her forehead, she looked at Anon and saw him staring at her. She breathed in and out to help calm herself down, after a quick break she then decided to try the move one last time. So she took a running start and jumped in the air. Adagio spun in the air and landed feet on the ground, she opened her eyes and noticed she wasn't on the ground, she had landed perfectly on her feet. Adagio couldn't believe it, she had done it! Anon couldn't believe it either, Adagio had actually landed the move!

Anon stared at Adagio wide-eyed and impressed. Adagio actually did it. Anon looked at Adagio and she looked at him. Obviously, they were both surprised but yet still happy for her. Anon looked into Adagio's eyes and saw the passion and fire, was this what confidence did to someone? Make them do things that seemed near impossible, to make them get up and try again and again until they succeeded?

"See Anon!" Adagio looked at Anon with a smile. "All you have to do is just believe and you can achieve your goals! Persevere through the tough times, and push yourself and you can do it! That's what having confidence is all about!"

Anon was surprised but he couldn't help but smile at Adagio. "Yeah, I guess so. I didn't think you could do it but you definitely proved me wrong. Good job, Adagio."

"Thanks, Anon. But if I can do it then you can too. Flash will most likely try to do something to you and will continue until you show him you're not one to be messed around with. You and I both know that after the broken desk incident. That could be your chance to show Flash you're not going to let him boss you around anymore." Adagio looked at her watch and noticed the time, school was going to start in a few minutes. Adagio put her jacket back on and retrieved her backpack. "Now we should get going, it's almost time for class to start." Adagio said as she started making her way to class.

"Yeah, let's go." Anon said as he began walking with Adagio.

With what Adagio had said, set a fire in Anon. With Adagio by Anon's side, Anon felt as though he could do anything. Flash was probably going to do something, but Anon would be ready for whatever that would be. Unbeknownst to either of them, that moment would come much sooner than they thought.

It was the break of the day and Anon was hanging out with Adagio. The two were happily having a conversation with one another when out of nowhere Flash came by. He grabbed Anon by his shirt collar and threw him up against a wall. Anon groaned as his body was slammed into the wall and Adagio couldn't help but sigh, they just couldn't get away from Flash and his antics.

"You think you're funny, don't you? Messing with my desk and making it look as if I broke it. I said you were going to pay for that and you're going to pay." Flash said as he cranked back his arm ready to punch Anon.

Anon looked back at Adagio and Adagio nodded her head, Anon looked back at Flash. No more. Flash wasn't going to boss him or anyone else ever again. Anon stood up and got right up to Flash, putting on his best serious face even though he was still a bit afraid.

"Flash, I didn't mess with your stupid desk. It must have been old or something. You always put your feet on it so you probably did break it. You just think it's me because you don't like me. I haven't done anything to you, I don't know why you hate me so much." Anon said, but he then glared at Flash. "But I'm done being afraid of you, you've hurt so many people, especially me, so I'm asking you to please stop!"

Adagio smiled, she was proud of Anon. He was finally starting to stand up for himself. Adagio looked over to Flash, and to say he was surprised would be an understatement. He probably never had someone talk back at him like that. But now here was Anon finally standing his ground to Flash, and now Flash was the surprised one.

"You want to know why I hate you? I'll tell you why. You try to be the little peacemaker but whenever you're the one in the fire you act like a little baby and can't fight your own battles. You try to help others and help fight their battles but you can't even stand up for yourself. That's why I hate you and I always will!" Flash yelled.

Adagio was dumbfounded, that's why he hated Anon? Because he couldn't stand up for himself? That was a stupid reason to hate Anon, and it wasn't even Anon's fault. It was a good thing that she had been helping Anon with his confidence issues.

"What do you think I'm doing right now? I'm standing up to you, Flash. I didn't break your desk, so leave me alone. I haven't done anything to you, you've just always been rude to me." Anon said as he continued to hold his ground against Flash.

Flash smiled. Adagio didn't know why he was smiling, nor did she like the fact that he was smiling. He was losing to Anon but yet he was smiling like he had won. Was Adagio missing something... or was this some sort of plan of Flash's?

"This is what I've been waiting for. You're finally standing up for yourself. Just know this... it still won't be enough to beat me. You have confidence, so what? I can still beat you in a fight, I always have. I'll give you this one Anon, but you won't be so lucky next time." Flash said as he gave a wave of what looked to be sympathy to Anon. Flash walked away leaving Adagio and Anon to themselves once again.

Anon looked back at Adagio with shock. "Did I really just do that? Did I actually stand up to Flash and somehow manage to win and not get a black eye in the making?"

Adagio couldn't help but smile at Anon. "Yes, yes you did. I knew you could do it Anon! Now he knows you can't be messed with."

Anon looked at Adagio and then looked back at where Flash had walked away. "I may have won today, somehow, but Flash is stronger than that, I know that. He gave me that win out of his free will. I still have a long way to go until I have full confidence like you. But I'm not going to let him step over me like I'm some bug."

Nodding, Adagio looked where Anon was looking as well. "You said it Anon. And I'll be with you during the whole thing."

Anon looked back and couldn't but smile. "Thank you, Adagio."

Anon did it; he finally stood up to Flash. His goals were one step closer to being completed. No longer was Flash in control of him. He was making a stand, Flash would no longer bully people if he had anything to say about it. Someone had to stop him and that person that would stop him once and for all would be Anon.

6. A Hero's Wrath

View Online

It had been a week since Adagio started helping out Anon regain his confidence back. In that one week, Adagio had seen some improvement from Anon in his confidence. He was no longer doubting himself on everything, whenever a question would be asked Anon would raise his hand and answer the question with full confidence. Any time Flash would try doing something to Anon, he would stand up for himself. Anon was finally coming out of his shell and being who he truly was, he was being the hero who saved Adagio all those years ago.

Adagio was currently behind the school in the schoolyard and was waiting for Anon. The two of them agreed to meet in the schoolyard before school as they had something planned for later that day. As she waited for Anon to arrive she decided to waste some time by practicing yet another new move for cheerleading. Today, Anon and Adagio had agreed that Anon was going to stop Flash from being a bully and put an end to his reign of terror. It took a lot of talking from Adagio to get Anon on board with the plan but he eventually agreed, it was more so Adagio forcing him to do it but he would never tell her that. But if he could do this, then Anon would've achieved his goals so it was worth giving it a try. After a bit of waiting Anon finally arrived at the schoolyard.

"Hey, Adagio." Anon said once he got there and placed his backpack down.

"Hey, Anon. Are you ready for today?" Adagio asked as she stopped practicing and walked over to Anon.

Anon then down at the ground and sighed but then looked back at Adagio. Adagio could tell he was worried but he was holding it in. "Yeah, I guess. I mean I wanted to do this later but I guess I'll give it a shot."

Adagio smiled, she knew how much this meant to Anon. She had to give credit to how much Anon had changed, he now was more confident and brave than he first was. "That's the spirit Anon. Flash has taken over this school for too long. You're the only one that can stop him. The fate of this school is in your hands. I know you can do it Anon, if anyone can it's you."

"Thanks, Adagio. But I'm sure the whole fate of the school isn't in my hands. I just have to stop the biggest bully at this school. It's not that big of a deal, anyone could do this, I'm not doing anything special." Anon looked down with an almost depressed expression on his face.

Seeing that her friend was sad, Adagio wanted to find a way to make Anon feel better. "Not a big deal, are you kidding me? Of course, it is! You're the one who's going to stop Flash. You're the one who's going to end Flash's bullying, this school will be a better place because of you. Not only that but your goal will be achieved. You get your confidence back and beat Flash, you're accomplishing two things at once. And if you lose to him... I'll be there to help you up until you can beat him."

Looking at Adagio, Anon smiled. "Thanks, Adagio. It means a lot to know I have such a good friend that looks out for me. But you don't gotta worry about me anymore, with you on my side I can do anything. I'll beat Flash today no matter what, and to be honest, my confidence has been back a while now."

"It has? Since when? Why haven't you told me about this?" Adagio asked, clearly upset.

"Please don't be mad. It's just that... whenever you're around I feel as though I can do anything. You just give me strength. I don't know why but you just do. My confidence isn't fully returned but it is higher than what it was like before. And I know... once I beat Flash it'll be back, and it's all thanks to you Adagio." Anon said with a genuine smile.

Adagio's cheeks turned bright pink. She was the one who gave Anon the strength he needed. Anon said it himself, it was all thanks to Adagio that Anon's confidence had gone up. When Anon was to stop Flash today, Adagio would cheer for Anon. Adagio had a good feeling Flash's bullying was going to end after today. Just then the first bell rang, signaling that school was about to begin for the day.

"Come on Anon we better get going. We don't want to be late." Adagio said as she started making her way to class.

Anon nodded and followed Adagio to class. "Yeah let's go. I'll be going up to Flash during lunchtime."

Adagio looked at Anon and smiled. "Okay, you better not chicken out. Remember I'll be with you all the way, you're not in this alone."

"Right. Flash won't even know what hit him. The only thing I have to worry about is if Flash and his two friends try to attack me all at once." Anon looked ahead, as he started to think of a plan of attack.

"Do you think you can take all of them at once?" Adagio asked, now she was starting to get worried. She hadn't thought about what would happen if Flash's friends decided to get involved.

"Maybe two of them at once but not all three." Anon looked down at the ground and sighed. "I don't want anyone else interfering with our fight, and I know I can't handle all three at once that'll be too much for me to deal with by myself."

Adagio stared at Anon and sighed, as much as she wanted to help she knew how much this meant to Anon. "I'm sorry Anon, I would do something to help but you said it yourself, you wanted to do this alone."

"I said dealing with Flash alone, not his other two idiot friends. You can deal with the other two. I want Flash all to myself, is that fair?" Anon looked at Adagio, and she looked at him with a glimmer of hope. "I need you Adagio, I can't do this alone, can you please help me one last time?"

Adagio smiled and nodded. "You can count on me, Anon. I'll deal with both of those idiots so you won't have to worry about anyone getting in the way of your fight with Flash."

Anon looked at Adagio a bit frightened. "You sound a little too happy to want to beat them up."

Shrugging, Adagio continued making her way to class. "I've wanted to beat them up for a while now. I'll just say they tried to touch me inappropriately and I was defending myself."

"... Okay then." Anon said, as the two finally made it inside the classroom.

It was lunchtime and Adagio and Anon had started making their journey toward Flash. They had both eaten their lunch in a matter of seconds and now it was time to put their plan into action. Anon wasn't passionate about this idea but with Adagio with him, he was going to do it. Adagio on the other hand was excited to finally see Anon face his fears and stop Flash.

It was then that Adagio started to think about it. The teachers nor the principal wouldn't do anything to Flash, all they would do is to tell him to stop what he was doing, which he would then stop and wait for the teacher to leave and then continue bullying the poor kid. No kid had any courage to confront Flash but that would change as now Anon would be the first one to stand up to Flash. Anon is and was the only one who could stop Flash, no one else was going to do anything to stop Flash.

From day one Anon knew he was going to have to stop Flash. All of those stupid teachers weren't going to do anything. They didn't care about bullying or their students well being, they only make you think they are but they aren't, a few teachers actually did care, but only very few did. The only thing they care about was getting their money. Every other kid at school was too scared of Flash, even the upper class was scared of him. But could you blame them?

Flash had been the biggest bully for years, and nothing has happened to him. No warning, no detention, no nothing. Whatever happened after today would happen, whether Anon won or not. Maybe thanks to Anon's action this would show the other kids to learn to stand up to Flash and to anyone for that matter.

Before they knew it Adagio and Anon had made it where Flash and his friends hung out. Flash and his friends look up and see Adagio and Anon standing before them.

"What are you two doing here?" Flash asked, looking at the two.

"We're here to stop you." Adagio said with confidence.

"Stop me? You and him? Don't make me laugh, get out of here before you hurt yourself." Flash said as he went back to eating his food.

"Flash, I'm going to ask nicely, stop bullying others. Your time of being a bully to everyone is over." Anon said taking a step forward to Flash.

"Since you asked nicely... NO! Who are you? Especially you to tell me what to do? Get out of here." Flash said not even looking at Anon.

"No! I'm not leaving until you stop. We can either do this the easy way or the hard way. And let me just tell you... I'm fine with either option." Anon said with confidence in his voice. Anon was stern, he wanted to let Flash know he was no longer scared of him.

Adagio was just standing there watching the events take place. She was proud of Anon, he was finally showing his true colors. Adagio looked around, kids were looking at Anon and Flash talking, they knew something was about to happen.

"You're fine with either option, huh? Bad decision, Anon." Flash said as he walked past Anon and to Adagio.

"Hey! What are you doing? Are you running away or something?" Anon asked as he turned to see where Flash was going.

"I just want to see how you react when something happens to your crush." Flash said as he got closer to Adagio.

Adagio looked at Flash confused. Who was Anon's crush? And why was Flash in front of Adagio? Flash turned around to look at Adagio with a smile on his face. Adagio didn't know what Flash was up to but decided to stay on guard. Her answer was solved when Flash suddenly slapped her on the cheek so fast that she didn't even have time to block or dodge. Adagio fell to the ground and looked up at Flash, holding her cheek in pain.

"You remember a few years ago when you did that to me? How does it feel to be the one slapped? Does it hurt? Are you going to cry?" Flash said teasingly as he looked down at Adagio.

Adagio was so surprised that she didn't even speak. Was she the person who Anon had a crush on? Adagio looked back at Anon and he was looking down at the ground, his hair covering his eyes. Flash's two friends went up from behind Anon and playful pushed him forward. Anon, however, didn't take that too well, as he quickly turned around and elbowed both of them in the face. The two both fell to the ground in pain, holding their faces in agony.

"Oh? So you're finally showing your true colors. Come on then Anon, let's finish this once and for all." Flash said as he got into a fighting stance.

"Bring it on then!" Anon yelled as he too got into a fighting stance.

Adagio could only look at the two. Flash vs Anon. A Hero vs The Biggest Bully. Someone was going to lose... but who?

7. A Hero vs A Bully

View Online

With that, the fight began as Flash and Anon jumped toward each other. Flash threw a punch but Anon dodged the punch with ease. Anon then kicked Flash in the leg and it must have hurt because Flash fell to the ground. Flash quickly got back up and tackled Anon to the ground and proceeded to use a barrage of punches. Anon defended the punches and after a while, he kicked Flash off of him to get back up.

Adagio hadn't noticed it until now but nearly everyone was around them, watching the fight at hand. She even saw Sonata and Aria there in the crowd too, cheering for Anon hoping he would beat Flash. People began chanting for the two but Adagio could distinctly hear more people saying Anon's name rather than Flash's. Adagio looked back at the fight between Flash and Anon. Flash punched Anon in the face but Anon shook it off and countered by kicking Flash in the stomach, pushing him away. While Adagio was watching the fight all she could think about was one thing, where were the teachers? And how have they not noticed that almost every kid that goes to this school in a big crowd shouting the words fight over and over again?

The teachers that were watching the kids hadn't even noticed the fight up until now. They ran for their lives, heading to the huge crowd to stop the fight. But once they got there, however, it was going to be hard to even stop Anon and Flash. Kids were in their way and all of their shouting combined was silencing the teacher's voices. And none of the kids seemed like they were going to be moving anytime soon. Adagio looked at the fight in awe, she held her hands tight, silently hoping that Anon would win.

Flash and Anon were in a full-on fight of the ages. With the way they were fighting, it looked as though they were wanting to kill each other. Blood was coming out of Flash's nose after being blasted by Anon's fist and Anon's hand was bleeding after punching the mess out of Flash. Neither one of them was giving up, as they continued their showdown. Adagio noticed that sweat was dripping down their faces from the intensity of their battle.

Anon was giving this fight his all. He had to beat Flash, if he couldn't, no one could. Flash being known as the biggest bully would come to an end if he won. Anon had already seen the teachers heading toward the two but he didn't care. All he cared about was beating Flash for good. Flash got back up and tried to punch Anon but Anon dodged the punch and punched Flash in the face, and the bully once again fell back to the ground.

Flash's two friends who had been on down for the count finally got back up. They saw Anon and Flash and they decided to try and pull a sneak attack on Anon but Adagio saw what they were going to do and jumped in front of them and punched one of them. He falls to the ground and the other one looks surprised, he then tried to swing at Adagio but Adagio kicked the other one in his privates. He fell to the ground in pain, and to make sure he won't get up ever again, Adagio swiftly kicked him in the face, putting him to rest on the schoolyard ground. Flash's other friend got up and tried to punch Adagio but Adagio caught it without a problem. She kicked him right in the nose, and he fell back to the ground in pain.

Now that Flash's two friends were out of commission it was now back to just Flash and Anon. The teachers were still trying to get through to the kids but no one was letting them in, which surprised Adagio. Was this their way of showing that they were done with Flash's bullying? By rebelling against the teacher's order and stopping them from interfering with Flash and Anon's duel to the near death. Adagio knew that teachers never did anything about bullying but when there's a fight then they all of a sudden care and spring into action. The kids weren't going to let them in though as they wanted to see Flash get his butt kicked.

Unbeknownst to everyone, the principal had just gotten word about the fight. He got up from his desk and ran out of his office to the schoolyard. The principal saw the crowd of kids and headed in their direction. Teachers were still trying to get through but they couldn't as the kids wouldn't budge. The principal finally got there and started to barge through the kids with force, not caring that he was pushing his students. Adagio saw the principal, and she knew that things weren't going to end well if he got involved. The principal was tall and big and just like Flash, everyone was scared of him, and nobody ever dared tried to mess with him. Kids were now moving out of his way as he kept walking to Flash and Anon.

Flash and Anon's fight was still going on. Even though they kept on falling to the ground they still got up. They both didn't want to lose to the other but they knew that the fight was either going to end with the principal stopping them or someone ending the fight with a finishing move. The principal was getting closer and closer and Flash and Anon's fight didn't look like it was going to end any time soon.

Anon saw the principal getting closer; he knew he had to finish things and fast. Flash looked up and saw the principal as well, the two make eye contact, and Flash evilly smiles at Anon, and Anon smiles back just as evilly. They both must have been thinking the same thing because both Flash and Anon threw a punch as hard as they can toward each other. Time seemed to slow down for Adagio, both Flash and Anon's punches were in midair. And just as fast their punches made contact with the other's face. Anon falls back but stayed standing on his feet, but Flash, on the other hand, fell to the ground and it didn't seem like he would be getting up any time soon. Kids cheer out loud seeing that the biggest bully fall to the ground. Just then the principal and the teachers finally made it to where Flash and Anon's fight had taken place.

"Both of you two my office, NOW!" The principal yelled, scaring all of the kids.

Flash tried to get up from the ground but he couldn't keep his balance due to Anon's punch. A teacher had to go over to him and help him walk to the office. Anon on the other hand turned around and looked at Adagio. He smiled at Adagio, and Adagio smiled back. Anon had done it! He finally stood up to Flash, and won! Anon turned back to the principal and started to make his way to the office. Adagio wasn't the only one that was proud of Anon. As Anon walked away the crowd cheered for him, shouting Anon loudly and proudly.

School had ended a while ago but Adagio had stayed behind. She was waiting for Anon to get out of the office and it was taking longer than expected because the principal was still talking to Anon and Flash about what they did. After a while, the doors to the office opened, and out came Anon, and he seemed to look happy about something. Anon walked out of the office and saw Adagio sitting on a bench.

"Hey Adagio, were you waiting for me?" Anon asked as he looked down at Adagio.

"Yeah." Adagio said as she stood up from the bench. "I wanted to know what happened. So what did happen? You look happy."

"Well I got in trouble which sucks. But... Flash got expelled." Anon said as he smiled brightly.

"So that means... we won't have to worry about Flash anymore?" Adagio asked looking at Anon shocked.

"Yup, no more bullying from Flash." Anon said still smiling. "It's over Adagio, we never have to worry about Flash and his antics ever again!"

"YOU'RE THE BEST ANON!!" Adagio yelled as she hugged Anon tightly.

Anon blushed from the sudden hug and hugged Adagio back. Flash was gone for good, and it was all thanks to Adagio's help. Now that Flash was gone, this could be Anon's chance to finally tell Adagio his feelings for her.

"Hey Adagio, can I show you something?" Anon asked.

"Yeah, what is it?" Adagio asked looking at Anon confused.

"Just wait and see." Anon said as he grabbed Adagio's hand and started to take her with him.

Adagio blushed from the sudden contact. Anon continued to take Adagio somewhere, she didn't know where he was taking her but it didn't matter to her, as long as it was with him. Wait... now that Flash was gone and Anon got his confidence back, maybe now was Adagio's perfect chance to tell Anon her feelings for him.

Anon kept taking Adagio to where he wanted to take her. It had been a while now, and Adagio realized that they were getting close to his house. They got to his house but they passed it, now Adagio was confused, where was Anon taking her? Finally, Anon stopped walking and let go of Adagio's hand. They were in the middle of the woods, the same woods they had been in before. They hadn't been there since Adagio broke Flash's desk and Anon wanted to talk to her. Adagio looked at Anon with confusion, why did Anon take her here of all places?

"So what did you want Anon?" Adagio asked as she looked around the woods.

"I wanted to talk to you in private about something." Anon said as he took a sit on a large rock.

"What did you have to talk to me in private about?" Adagio asked as she took a sit next to him.

"Do you remember when Flash said 'I just want to see how you would react if something happened to your crush'?" Anon asked as he looked Adagio in the eyes.

Adagio thought back and now thinking about it, Anon was right before Flash had slapped her across her cheek, he had said that. She blushed, why did he have to bring that up? Was what Flash said all wrong and Adagio's hope was getting all high for nothing? Or was he actually telling the truth? Either way Adagio was sure her answer was going to be solved.

"Yes, I remember. What about it?" Adagio asked, kinda nervous about what Anon was about to say.

"H-how did you feel after he said that and then he hit you?" Anon asked as he looked away blushing.

"I was confused at first but then I started to think about it. And, I mean, Flash is a bully and bullies lie. So I didn't know if he was saying that to confuse me or not. I mean we've been friends for a long time and hearing that really threw me off, you know." Adagio said as he looked down at the ground.

Anon turned away from Adagio."Yeah, I understand." Adagio got up and walked over to Anon. She wanted to know, she had to know. Was it a lie or was it true?

Adagio grabbed Anon's hands. "Anon was what Flash said true? Or was it just another one of his lies?" Adagio asked in a gentle voice. "I won't be mad with either option but I just want to know. And please tell me the truth."

Anon looked at Adagio, she wouldn't be mad? But what if she didn't feel that way? It didn't matter though, Anon was going to tell Adagio whether she felt the same or not.

Anon took a deep breath and decided to just let it out. "Yeah, it's true. Ever since you helped me get my confidence back, it's made me a better person. I thank you for everything you've done, and that's why I love you. You're an amazing friend, to do all of this for me."

Adagio couldn't believe it. Anon, her hero, the person she had a crush on, liked her back. Adagio's heart was beating like a drum.

"Anon I... I love you too. It's thanks to you that Flash is gone. Now people at school won't have to worry about getting bullied. Teachers are now starting to do things about bullying thanks to you. It's all because of you, you're a hero to everyone and especially me. You're my hero, Anon." Adagio said as she smiled at Anon, her cheeks bright pink.

Anon was in complete shock. Adagio liked him back. Out of all the people, she liked Anon. Someone that had no confidence, that got bullied, but she still liked him.

Adagio and Anon both looked each other in the eyes. Then slowly start to lean in towards each other. Then it happened. Their lips intertwined with each other. The kiss was ecstatic for the both of them. The two ended the kiss after a while and looked at one another.

"No matter what the challenge, we'll face it together. Okay?" Adagio said as she looked at Anon with a smile.

"Yeah, together nothing can stop us." Anon said as she smiled at Adagio.

Adagio and Anon kissed again, no matter what life would throw at them they would be ready for it.

8. A Dazzle In Her Eye

A few years later...

It had been a few years since Anon had beaten Flash that fateful day. Not only did Anon beat Flash that day but Anon also got an amazing girlfriend, who would later become Anon's wife. Anon was scared out of his mind to pop up the question, but Anon loved Adagio with all his heart and she felt the same and said yes. Anon would never forget his wedding day and how beautiful Adagio looked in her wedding dress. Anon's mom had cried tears of joy that day for him.

Anon was currently at his home playing with his daughter, having some daughter and dad time. She was currently trying to walk but she couldn't keep her little balance. However, just like her mother she was determined to walk and kept getting up every time she fell. Adagio was currently in the kitchen making some lunch for the family. She was also due with another baby in a little bit and Anon was hoping that it was a baby boy, but either way, Anon would be happy.

Anon was lucky to know that he had such a good wife. She had helped Anon gain his confidence and beat Flash. If it wasn't for Adagio, he probably still would have had self-doubt. Not only that but Anon probably would have never defeated Flash and his bullying would have continued for the rest of high school. Adagio was his hero in a way, for helping him out and making him achieve his goals.

"Anon, lunch is ready." Adagio said as she brought the food over to the table.

"Okay, I'm coming." Anon said, picking up his daughter and heading to the table.

Adagio's cooking was always good to Anon. Anon didn't know how she could cook so well but she did. Anon placed his daughter on her high chair and sat down as he waited for his wife. Adagio brought out two plates and a baby bottle full of milk. She had made some of her homemade sandwiches along with some fresh lemonade. Anon started to eat the sandwich, he hmmed in happiness. Anon could never get enough of his wife's delicious food.

"Like the food, Anon?" Adagio asked as she watched her husband chow down on the sandwich.

"Is that even a question? Of course, it's good, your cooking is the best." Anon said as he continued eating the sandwich.

Adagio smiled, proud that her husband enjoyed her food. "That's good to know." She then looked at her baby and her eyes widened, but then giggled. "You're not the only one that likes my food, huh honey?"

Anon looked over at his daughter, and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. She was drinking her milk as if her life depended on it. In a matter of seconds, she had finished her food before Anon could finish his sandwich. Anon smiled, all of those attempts at walking must have been hard work for her and made her hungry. Lately, that's all she's been doing... when she's awake that is. Anon's daughter could sleep for a whole day if she was lucky but when she was awake all she did was eat, and try to walk. Anon didn't know if that was normal, to just want to try to learn how to walk and not play. But if that's what his daughter wanted to do, to try to walk then she could do as she pleased.

"Has she gotten any closer to being able to walk?" Adagio asked as she looked at Anon while eating her food.

"She is definitely trying, I'll give her that. Just like her mother, she's never giving up until she master's something." Anon said, as he looked over at his daughter and then back at Adagio with a smile.

"Yep, that's me. I won't give up until I accomplish the task at hand." Adagio smiled as she looked at her daughter.

Anon nodded as he looked over at Adagio. "Yep, and that's one of the reasons why I love you."

Even after all their years together, Anon still found a way to make Adagio blush. "Aww, that's so sweet Anon. I love you too Anon." Adagio got up and kissed him on the cheek.

Adagiothen went over and picked up her daughter from her high chair along with her plate and headed to the living room. Anon picked up his plate and start to walk over to the living room with them. Once Adagio put her daughter on the ground she immediately tried to walk again. Anon smiled as he looked down at his daughter, his daughter was just the cutest thing ever when she tried to walk.

"She just won't stop trying. Even I'm impressed she's trying this hard." Adagio said as she looked at her daughter. "I just hope she keeps this drive of hers when she gets older."

Anon nodded with a knowing smile. "I'm sure she's going to have a lot of confidence when she gets older, just like you."

"Isn't that what we want? We don't want her to be like how you used to be... Oh! I'm sorry Anon, I didn't mean anything." Adagio quickly apologized not meaning to hurt Anon's feelings.

Anon waved his hand, showing that everything was fine. "None taken. But you are right we don't want her to be like me. Even if she doesn't have confidence we'll just have to help her get some."

Smiling, Adagio nodded. "I couldn't agree more. I think she knows she's close to being able to walk. That's why she's been trying this hard lately. She's on the brink of finally being able to walk."

Anon looked at his wife confused. "Almost be able to walk, huh? Adagio, she's just a little kid, who's barely even lived life. How can she tell if she's almost able to walk?"

"Just watch, she'll be walking before you even know it." Adagio smiled as she continued to watch her daughter try to walk.

Anon walked into the kitchen and put his plate in the sink. Normally, he did the dishes but he's been watching his daughter trying to walk. Time had gone by so quickly, at one point in time he had no confidence and let Flash take over him. But now here he was, married to a woman he loved dearly, had a daughter, and finally has confidence. He couldn't be happier with how much his life had turned around for the better, and it was all thanks to Adagio.

"Anon!!! Come here!!" Adagio yelled at the top of her lungs.

Anon quickly ran out of the kitchen, afraid something had happened to his wife or worse his daughter. As he turned the corner he saw Adagio smiling brightly. Nothing seemed to be wrong, but here was Adagio smiling as she pointed at something. Anon looked over at where his wife was pointing, and Anon couldn't believe what he was seeing. His daughter was finally walking! She only took a few steps until she lost her balance and fell. Anon's daughter started to laugh, as Adagio quickly rushed over to her and picked her up holding her like a stuffed animal.

"I told you, Anon. My little girl finally took her first steps. You're such a smart girl you know that?" Adagio laughed as she continued to hug her little baby. Their baby could only continue to laugh not even knowing what incredible moment she had just done.

"I guess you were right, Adagio. Our daughter was close to being able to walk. How did you know she was close to being able to walk?" Anon asked as he looked at Adagio.

"Call it a mother's institution. Plus, I'm always right." Adagio said as she held her head up in her little victory.

Anon crossed his arms as he looked at Adagio with a knowing smirk. "Always? I wouldn't say always. Maybe most of the time but definitely not all the time."

"Close enough to me. Most of the time, all the time." Adagio said with a cheeky smile.

Anon rolled his eyes. "Sure whatever you say Adagio."

Just then Adagio's phone started to ring. She left the room with your daughter in her hands. Anon didn't know who was calling her but it wasn't any of his business. Adagio came back out of the room and she looked like she was in a good mood as she had a smile on her face.

"Sonata and Aria want to meet up at Sugar Cube Corner." Adagio said as she went over to Anon.

"Oh alright, well what are we waiting for? Let's go." Anon said as he put on his jacket.

"Sure, just let me get the baby dressed." Adagio said leaving the living room and back into the bedroom.

After a while Adagio came back with Anon's daughter. Anon grabbed his keys and opened the door. Adagio walked out of the door with his daughter in her hands. Anon then closed the door from behind Adagio. He then turned around and looked at his beautiful wife, with their beautiful baby in her hands. This was Anon's new and better life. Anon and Adagio were finally together and Anon's life couldn't be any better.

The End
