On a bright morning weekend in CHS, the Rainbooms and the Rock N’ Beats were chatting in the cafeteria and Lancer was walking towards the two groups while carrying something light and wide, covered in a picnic sheet.

“Hey, you ready to rock... for our earth science presentation?” Lancer asked Half Note as he set the school project down on the table.

Half Note answered with excitement, “Yeah, but why did you bring it all the way here?”

“Because I want to show it you all with my friends since you’ve been doing the paperwork while I’ve been doing the construction work.” Lancer answered.

Half Note replied, “Fair enough.”

“You’ve worked on it all night? Darling, you must’ve been tired from working on your project.” Rarity said.

“I know, but it definitely paid off.” Lancer told Rarity.

Rainbow asked him, “So what’s under that sheet?”

“I’m glad you asked,” Lancer took off the sheet and unveiled the school project to his friends. It was a diorama of dinosaurs built with LEGO blocks. “Behold! What scientists believed to be Canterlot City when dinosaurs roamed the Earth,” Lancer looked at Half Note and said, “Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg.”

Without hesitation, Half Note clicked one of the little dinosaur eggs and background sounds was played. Dinosaurs were screeching, and a volcano roaring as a little bit of smoke started to whiff in the air from the volcano. Lancer’s friends were astounded by his creation, but mostly Twilight.

“Wow! Not bad, Lancer. Not bad at all.” Twilight said as she adjusted her glasses.

“We’re going to ace this project.” Half Note told Lancer.

Lancer nodded and smiled, “Oh, you bet Half Note.”

Aside from them, there was a teen with orange hair who was walking up to a kid with the green mohawk with a scar between his lip and his nose to record him practicing hitting the ball with his knees.

“Ha, 22 in a row. New record.” The kid said with confidence.

After practicing his little soccer kicks, the mohawk kid glanced at Lancer, feeling jealous as Lancer continued mingling with his friends.

Lancer continued, “...whatsoever. This thing is a masterpiece. I mean, everything’s to scale. And at 8,251 individual pieces, this meticulously assembled model represents the exact moment when the asteroid hit-”

Without full warning, Lancer’s school project was destroyed by an incoming soccer ball and they all gasped. The students stopped and looked at what’s going on while the kid with the mohawk and his friends laughed and celebrated.

Lancer was shocked and turned his head slowly to see his old friend. Well... used to be his old friend a long time ago.

“Oh, pfft. I’m sorry, man. Looks like my ball just got away from me.” The punk kid apologized with a smile on his face, making it look like he accidentally kicked it.

“That took me three weeks to build, Shark.” Lancer replied while feeling frustrated.

“Eh, took my ball three seconds to destroy.” Shark replied and walked away to join his friends, Rumble, Heath Burns, Thunderbass, Napalm, and Valhallen to celebrate.

After the students seen enough and resumed mingling except the Rainbooms and the Rock N’ Beats, Lancer felt angry and confronted his old bud, “So this is what you have become, huh? A jerk? I thought you were my friend. I shouldn’t be surprised that this was your doing, Jerkface.”

Shark’s friends glared at Lancer and Shark said, “Don’t push your luck, Lancer. Or you won’t be so lucky.”

Then, Sunset stood up and confronted Shark’s gang while her friends looked on.

“Hey! Back off or you and your friends won’t be so lucky either.” Sunset said.

Shark scoffed until he saw Ms. Cheerilee entering the cafeteria and monitoring the students.

“Like you’ll start anything, princess. Actually, why don’t you go sleep with someone new and break his heart?” Shark replied.

Sunset didn’t like what the punk said to her and shoved him, but Heath and Valhallen saved him from falling.

Ms. Cheerliee saw Sunset shoved Shark and rushed over to the confrontation and questioned Sunset, “What’s going on here, Sunset? You know we don’t allow fighting in this school,” Ms. Cheerilee looked at Shark and asked him, “Did she enter your personal bubble without verbal consent?”

Shark answered, “She definitely triggered me in my safe space.”

Lancer figured he was lying and replied, “What? He started it by destroying my science project.”

Cheerilee looked at Shark and he answered honestly, “That was an accident,” He looked at Lancer and said, “You probably shouldn’t bring toys to school, anyway.”

“I don’t want any excuses. I just want you all to respect each other.” Cheerilee suggested.

Shark pretended to be his old, goody two-shoes guy and said, “She’s right. We should stop the aggression. Micro and macro.”

“Oh, give me a break.” Sunset replied and didn’t buy anything what Shark said.

Cheerilee didn’t like what she’s hearing and informed Sunset, “Hey. Consider this a warning, Miss Susnet. And, pick up these blocks, someone could get hurt.”

After Cheerilee walked away, Shark informed Sunset and Lancer, “For you pansies, no space is safe.”

Shark and his friends walked away and laughed while Sunset and her friends were unsatisfied and didn’t like what he had to say as they looked on.

After school, Shark and his friends along with Lightning Dust, Rolling Thunder, and Short Fuse were in a dojo, located right next to the mall. Their dojo was called Viper Kai. They wore their karate gi and stood up straight on the sides of the mat as their sensei was walking around the mat, giving them a lesson. Their sensei was buff, black hair, tattoos on his arms, wore black karate gi, and he’s almost up to his 60’s.

The Viper Kai sensei told them, “Never underestimate your enemy. Even if you think they’re weaker than you, you have to stay one step ahead of them. That’s the only way to guarantee a victory. Is that understood?”

“Yes, sensei.” His students answered in unison.

“Good. Now let’s see if you truly understand the lesson,” He approached towards a tree log with a bonsai on a pot on top, “I want you to kick this tree off the top. Heath, you start.”

Heath nodded and move forward got into his fighting stance. After that, he tried to kick the tree, but he fell down and the fabric from the back of his pants tore off. The students felt nervous after witnessing that failed attempt.

Their sensei crossed his arms, feeling disappointed and said, “Pathetic. Thunderbass, show him.”

After Heath went back to his spot, Thunderbass got into a fighting stance and performed a spinning front kick, but missed the opportunity to knock down the bonsai and fell. He groaned and whimpered as he went back to his spot.

“Stop your sniveling.” The sensei told Thunderbass.

“I can do it, sensei.” Shark said.

His sensei questioned his student, “Well, what are you waiting for?”

Shark walked forward towards the log and observed it, thinking and figuring out how to knock the bonsai off. The sensei was curious about Shark and asked him, “Don’t you want a running start?”

“Don’t need one.” Shark answered as he knocked the log off and the bonsai fell off of the log onto the mat.

Their sensei chuckled and told him, “Not bad. Not bad at all.”

Shark smiled and got back into his spot as Thunderbass felt doubt and told his sensei, “But he cheated.”

The Viper Kai sensei looked at him and said, “No, he didn’t. Unlike you, he did exactly what I asked him to do,” He looked at the rest of his students and told him, “If your mind is agile, so are you. That’s the best way to beat your enemy. Not just with brute strength. But you have to fight smart. Do that, and you’ll always come out on top.”

The next day, Celestia was in her office and spoke through the mic to announce some news to the school.

“Attention everyone! I got an announcement to make. Due to the low budget of our school, my sister and I have decided to shut down the Arts and Music Program in four weeks.”

Every student from separate classrooms reacted, “WHAT?!” After that, everyone chatted about the big announcement.

“I’m sorry, but I want to take a moment to say thank you to the teachers who worked so hard for teaching Art and Music. That will be all.”

During lunch break, the Rainbooms and Spike were outside, on the main entrance to the school and tried to plan a way to save the program.

“I can’t believe this. The music room and the art room are going to be closed.” Sunset panicked.

Applejack said, “This is an outrage. We gotta do something.”

Pinkie raised her hand and suggested, “Ooh, I know. Why don’t we do a fundraiser and do some car washing.”

“Yeah, but we already did that, Pinkie. It’s not going to be enough money to save our school.” Applejack answered.

Twilight added, “Plus, we still got our summer jobs. It’s going to take more than a month to earn a lot of money in order to save our school.”

While the rest of the Rainbooms were discussing, Rainbow was looking through her phone until she found something interesting. Something that could help save the school’s program. “Girls?” Rainbow asked them.

However, the rest of the girls were still having a discussion and didn’t hear Rainbow.

Rainbow repeatedly called them, “Girls? Anyone?!” She got nothing and Rainbow blew a whistle around her neck. “HEY!!!” She yelled.

Spike and the rest of the Rainbooms stopped talking and their eyes were all focused on Rainbow.

“Check it out, I found something on the internet. Take a look.” Rainbow said as she showed them something on her phone. On the screen of Rainbow’s phone, it said that there’s going to be a martial arts tournament in Canterlot City this year. The winning dojo receives a cash prize of $500,000.

“That’s a perfect idea, Rainbow. If our school wins, we can save the school’s program.” Twilight informed everyone.

Sunset cheered, “Yeah, let’s convince Celestia and Luna to host the martial arts tournament here in our school.”

As Celestia was about to enjoy her sub sandwich in her office, Sunset knocked on her door. Celestia closed her mouth and puts down her sandwich. “Come in.” She said.

The Rainbooms entered her office and greeted Celestia, “Hi Celestia. Can we talk to you for a sec?”

“Of course, what can I do for you?” Celestia asked.

“Well, I got a big idea that you might be invested in because this could save our school.” Rainbow suggested.

“Okay, tell me.” Celestia replied.

The Rainbooms explained to Celestia about the martial arts tournament in Canterlot City and the cash prize for minutes.

“So, what do you say? Can our school host this year’s tournament?” Rainbow asked Celestia.

Celestia thought about it while the Rainbooms were feeling nervous. “You know, our school doesn’t allow fighting. However, I think this could work. I’ll see what I can do. Right now, head back to your classes because lunch is almost about to be over. I’ll let you know when something’s up.” Celestia informed the girls.

“Excellent. You will not regret this. Thank you!” Rainbow said as she and her friends exited her office.

“You’re welcome.” Principal Celestia replied and she went back to eating her lunch.

The girls celebrated until they saw Lancer and Half Note in the hallways.

“Hey girls. Why were you in the Principal’s Office?” Lancer asked.

Rainbow felt excited and answered, “Well, I got great news. We’re going to save the school’s program.”

“Really? That’s awesome.” Half Note said.

“Yeah, so how’s your presentation in your class?” Twilight asked them.

Lancer answered, “Well, we got an F thanks to ‘you-know-who.’”

The Rainbooms were upset as Sunset growled, “I knew that punk was up to no good.”

“Hey! Relax Sunset. Let me finish,” Lancer said and Sunset calmed down. “However, our teacher gave us a week to redo our project to bump our grades up.”

The Rainbooms all sighed in relief, “Well, what a relief. Alt least there’s some good news coming from you guys.”

“Thanks, Sunset. So, what’s the plan to save our school program?” Lancer asked the Rainbooms.

The Rainbooms, Lancer, and Half Note walked through the hallways and discussed about the tournament.

The next day, on a sunny Saturday morning, the Rainbooms, Turtles, Blade Swipe, the Rock N’ Beats, Young Six, and some of the students from CHS helped set up a fundraiser outside of the school and started washing cars. They were holding up signs and customers were giving money to the Rainbooms.

“Hey, thanks for coming to help us out Bright Eyes.” Lancer told Bright Eyes.

Bright Eyes replied, “Oh, it was nothing. Sunset told us about what happened to your school. We’ll do anything to help our friends out.”

“Aw, thanks Bright Eyes. I appreciate it.” Lancer said as they both smiled at each other and continued washing the cars.

Sunset was directing traffic for the car wash and informed everyone, “Great, guys. Keep it up. A line of cars around the block,” She then looked at Sandalwood who’s not properly wiping the car window with his towel. She said, “Sandal, it’s left circle and then the right circle.”

Sandal nodded and did exactly what she told him to do. Then, Bebop and Rocksteady were driving their van to get their van washed.

“Hey! Could we be next?” Bebop asked the Rainbooms as he and Rocksteady fist bumped each other.

Bebop was happy until Bulk Biceps came by to climb up on their van and wash the front window.

“Want the wash and wax or just the wash?” Bulk asked them.

Bebop frowned that he didn’t get the girls to clean his van and asked Bulk, “Hold up, you doin’ it?”

“Yeah, Imma get you all straight.” Bulk answered as his belly was shown on the van window while washing the van.

Rocksteady asked, “No streaks?”

Logan Berrytown approached Bebop and told him, “That’ll be 20 bucks.” The kid took his money and said, “Thank you.”

“Hey!” Bebop shouted as he looked at Bulk, giving Bebop a thumbs up. The two mutants were now upset that his van’s going to be washed by a hunky dude.

While the heroes continued their fundraising event, Shark was watching from afar along with his two pals, Valhallen and Heath Burns.

“They’re all going to learn not to mess with Viper Kai.” Shark stated.

Valhallen asked him, “So, what are we going to do?”

“Don’t worry, I got a plan. Right now, let’s get out of here, boys. I’ve seen enough.” Shark answered as he and his boys drove their motorcycles away from the school.

Hours later, the fundraiser ended in the afternoon and Logan packed up the money he and his friends collected and stored it in his backpack. As Logan was about to head home with his bicycle, sounds of motorcycles were approaching, catching Logan’s attention. The boy quickly got onto his bicycle until Shark blocked his path with his motorcycle. Heath and Valhallen approached towards Logan as Shark told him, “You picked the wrong side.”

Heath grabbed his backpack and took out the envelope full of money inside.

“Hey! Give it back!” Logan pleaded them as Shark started pinning him down on the ground.

Heath smelled the money and sighed, “Nothing like a long day of charity.”

“We’ll make sure sensei knows that this belongs to Viper Kai.” Valhallen said.

Logan pleaded them, “Stop! That money is for the school.”

“Oh yeah? Well now you’re gonna pay.” Shark told him as he and his friends started attacking him. Logan did everything he could to defend himself, but he was no match against them and the three Viper Kai boys beat him down. After it was finished, Logan couldn’t help but cry and the Viper Kai gang rode off with their motorcycles and the money they stole.

The next morning, The Rock N’ Beats and the Young Six were in the backyard of Sunset’s house.

“You sure about this?” Teddy asked Bright Eyes.

Bright Eyes informed everyone, “Viper Kais never stopped training. We have to catch up. If that means me taking the reins, then so be it.”

Sandbar said, “I’m ready to add a few new moves to my repertoire.”

“She’s right. I’ve never heard of Viper Kai, but I bet they are bad guys which explains why Logan got beat up.” Smolder mentioned as Logan was wearing sunglasses to cover up his black eye, but he also got some bruises too.

“Hold on a sec, what if Leo, Sunset, and the rest of our friends find out?” Ocellus asked Bright Eyes.

Bright Eyes answered, “Don’t worry, they won’t. I got it covered. Now then, let’s get started.”

The young teens started training and practicing their fighting skills to get ready for their fight against Viper Kai.

Later on Monday, the CMC, the Young Six, and the Rock N’ Beats were were stretching and warming up in their PE clothes as the cheerleaders of CHS continued practicing their cheer routines.

“These gym shorts pinch in all the wrong places.” Lancer commented.

Apple Bloom replied back, “C’mon, have a little school spirit.”

“Yona look tough. Yona look good in shorts.” Yona commented.

Ace said while stretching, “See, she gets it.”

Then out came Shark walking with his Viper Kai gang to enter the field as everyone on the field cleared the way. Bright Eyes had that determined look on her face as the Viper Kai gang continued walking.

Smolder said, “I wish we could do something about those cretins.”

“We can,” Bright Eyes answered.

Lancer asked her, “How? Cheerilee will give us a detention for breathing near them.”

“I don’t see her, do you?” Bright Eyes asked him.

Bright Eyes made a good point as her friends nodded and listened.

“Besides, what’s a soccer game without a little physical contact? They think we’re doormats. Let’s prove them wrong.”

Her friends all smiled and they got a plan to fight back against Shark and his gang.

https://youtu.be/vz_9PvaTi0A

Scootaloo, Gallus, Sandbar, Yona, Smolder, Ace, Lancer, Half Note, and Melody were competing against Shark and his pals in an intramural soccer game while Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Silverstream, Ocellus, Clover Bloom, Logan Berrytown, Sweet Note, Sweetheart, Patch, and Bright Eyes were in the bleachers cheering on for their friends. While everyone started playing and kicking the ball from two opposing sides, Half Note had possesion of the ball and kicked the ball across under the legs of Crimson Napalm. Half Note tumbled over Crimson Napalm, rolled over to get herself back up, and stepped on his chest.

Minutes later, Shark had possession of the ball and he kicked the ball into the goal.

“Whoo! Yeah!” Shark celebrated after scoring a goal as he ran back and winked at Diamond Tiara, who was his girlfriend and now ex-girlfriend of Shark and part of the cheerleading squad. However, Diamond rolled her eyes and appeared to flirt with a guy standing right next to her. Shark was unhappy and decided to push over Sandbar onto the ground to release a bit of anger.

Cranky Doodle, who’s subbing for the actual PE teacher, blew the whistle and said, “Take it easy on the physical contact!”

Lancer approached Shark and told him, “She loved you, you know.”

“What’d you say?” Shark questioned him.

Lancer replied, “Oh yeah, she told me. Man, you had a good thing going with the richest girl in school, and you ruined it by becoming a loser.” He responded with a punch to his back and performed a leg sweep on Shark, tripping him down to the ground as Cranky blew the whistle again.

Lancer stood over Shark and told him, “I guess that’s why the Europeans call it, football.”

Valhallen lended him a hand, but Shark refused and picked himself back up.

“Let’s get him,” Thunderbass requested before Shark stopped him.

Shark informed his gang, “No, wait. Remember what Sensei Kai said. Fight smart.”

His pals nodded and resumed playing soccer to use their sensei’s teachings against the opposing team. As the ball started to descend from the air, Shark was about to hit the ball with his head, but he instead buttheaded Lancer on the head and sent him down as a receipt. From then on, the two opposing teams got physical and it felt like they weren’t playing a regular game of soccer anymore.

Cranky had seen enough and blew the whistle. He got angry and informed everyone from the two teams on the field, “You know what? That’s it! Everyone to the principal’s office now!”

The two teams stopped playing while Bright Eyes and her friends got upset that her plan didn’t work.

Minutes later, Bright Eyes, Smolder, Lancer, and Gallus were glaring at Thunderbass, Heath Burns, and Vallhallen rigth across of them as they were all waiting outside the principal’s office. Shark exited the door to join up with his buds as Principal Celestia exited her office to give everyone the news.

“Heath, Valhallen, Thunderbass, the three of you and Shark are free to go.” Principal Celestia said.

Shark and his buds gave them a smug look on their faces and walked away from their rivals.

A frustrated Lancer commented, “Unbelievable.”

“You’re kidding. What about my friends?” Bright Eyes questioned her.

“I’m sorry, but your friends will be receiving a rehabilitative, not punitive, Saturday detention.”

Lancer who now had a bloody nose and said, “Detention? Great, that’s going to be a blemish on my permanent record.”

“This is downright dirty!” Half Note commented.

Principal Celestia fired back and informed her, “Miss Half Note! That is not how we express ourselves here. Calm down before I start handing out detentions for all of you for the next two weekends!”

Bright Eyes became upset now that her friends were going to be held in detention on Saturday.

“Grrr! This school sucks!” Smolder growled as she punched a locker and walked away.

Her friends looked on and felt upset as well.

“I don’t know her that well.” Lancer replied before Principal Celestia raised her eyebrow, knowing that he was clearly lying to her. Lancer’s guilty and nodded as he and the rest of his friends walked away to join Smolder.

After school, Shark and his Viper Kai friends stroll through the arcade center to cause some more mischief. Shark blocked the basketball from the little boy who was going to shoot it at a basketball hoop in a basketball machine, and after that, he stole tickets from a random girl playing skee ball.

At the prize counter, Teddy was working, doing his job, and gave a cat plushie to the little girl.

“Here you go. Come back anytime.” Teddy said.

The little girl loved her plushie and her parents thanked Teddy. After the happy family left, Shark and his pals swung by and put the stolen tickets down on the counter.

“What’s up, buddy?” Shark greeted the big guy.

Teddy was not too pleased to see him after witnessing the "accident" from the cafeteria.

Rumble said, “Hey, prize winch.”

“What do you guys want?” Teddy asked them.

“Well, to spend our hard-earned tickets, of course. Why don’t you be a good girl and grab us those bobbleheads.” Shark said as he looked up to see some bobbleheads on the top shelf.

Teddy begrudgingly got on the ladder, getting ready to get the prize Shark requested. When Teddy wasn’t looking, Shark climbed over the counter to steal several prizes.

“Don’t! Stop! Hey!” Teddy shouted as Shark’s pals received the stolen prizes and laughed. Shark threw a few stuffed animals at Teddy and the Viper Kai crew ran away quickly.

“Thanks, Teddy!” Rumble said.

“You sir, are a good friend to us!” Shark added, pretending to be nice.

After Shark and his crew ran away, a desperate Teddy texted Bright Eyes for help.

Meanwhile in Pinkie’s house, Bright Eyes was lying down on the couch to calm herself down after that soccer game from yesterday. Then, her phone vibrated and went to check on it. She got a text from Teddy and the text read:

NOW VIPER KAI’S MESSING WITH ME AT WORK!

Bright Eyes became angry that Viper Kai was back on the prowl again. She texted Teddy back.

On my way.

Minutes later, Bright Eyes along with Smolder, Lancer, and Apple Bloom entered the arcade area and met up with Teddy.

“Where are they?” Bright Eyes asked Teddy.

Teddy answered, “They snuck into the old laser tag place next door.”

“How many?” Apple Bloom asked.

Teddy replied, “Four of ‘em.”

“Five of us. I like our odds.” Lancer commented, feeling confident and determined.

Apple Bloom felt doubt and asked, “Are you sure we should be doing this?”

“We’re on school property. This is our chance to fight back.” Bright Eyes informed her friends as she and her friends head to the laser tag room to get some payback.

In the laser tag area, Rumble, Heath, and Thunderbass watched Shark as he performed a spinning roundhouse kick on the cat plushie as target practice.

“Nice!” Heath complimented.

Rumble unzipped his backpack and said, “Brew time, man.”

“Sweet.” Shark replied.

Rumble asked his friends, “Who’s for a warm one?”

“Who the heck wants a warm soda? You didn’t bring an ice pack?” Shark questioned Rumble, who was feeling nervous.

“What were you thinking Rumble?” Heath asked as he shoved Rumble.

Then, the lights were turned off and the Viper Kai gang were all confused.

“What in the world?” Heath wondered.

Bright Eyes and her friends entered the field and confronted Shark including his pals.

“What do you want?” Shark questioned them.

Bright Eyes responded, “Payback.”

As a result, Bright Eyes and her friends struck first. Shark and his pals fought back and the fight was on. The brawl went on for minutes as Bright Eyes and her friends got the upper hand and as Bright Eyes was about to punch Shark in the face, Lightning Dust along with Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse showed up.

“Bright Eyes!” Lighting Dust called her out as Bright Eyes stopped.

“Where are you, chicken?” Lightning Dust shouted.

https://youtu.be/ZJZpQbM8qYM

Bright Eyes took deep breaths and her heart was beating heavily, starting to have a panic attack. Lancer was about to punch Heath, but Heath ducked and Shark stepped in to give his old pal a beating.

“Show yourself, Four-Eyes!” Lightning called Bright Eyes out again.

She started having flashbacks, remembering that she and Lightning Dust battled each other months ago. Lightning was a skilled fighter. She used her spiked bracelet as a weapon and slashed Bright Eyes on her right arm, giving her right sleeve of her jacket a tear.

“Bright Eyes!” Teddy called for help as he was beaten down by Thunderbass and Rumble.

As for the rest of Bright Eye’s friends, they were all beaten and bruised. Viper Kai had the advantage now and Bright Eye’s friends didn’t have the strength to take them down. Bright Eyes sat down and hid herself, feeling afraid and knowing that Lightning came back and never wanted to hear her voice again, but the only thing Bright Eyes can do now was to watch her friends suffer by the hands of Viper Kai.

Lancer threw a punch at Shark, but he countered his attack and pinned Lancer down. Then, Shark put Lancer on a tight hold on his right arm. Lancer begged Shark, “No! Please, stop! Shark, stop! Stop! It’s me! You don’t have to do this. Please! This doesn’t have to be this way!” While continuing to be pinned down, he looked at Bright Eyes across from him and begged her, “Help me! Please?”

Bright Eyes couldn’t do a thing and she was scared to death.

Lightning Dust ordered, “Finish him off, Shark! Do it!”

“He deserves it!” Rumble shouted as the rest of his friends encouraged him to finish Lancer off.

Lancer begged him while struggling in his hold, “Let me go! Just leave me and my friends alone! Please?!

His friends whimpered and closed their eyes, knowing that they couldn’t bear to hear or watch what will happen next.

Shark looked conflicted before he heard his uncle's words "No, Mercy!" Then glaring, and with a yell, he slammed his fist into Lancer's right arm, breaking it with a loud snap like a stick.

Lancer screamed in pain, “AAAAHHHHH!!!”

Lighting Dust and the rest of Shark’s friends were satisfied with his choice and celebrated while Lancer’s friends shed some tears on their faces.

Lancer winced while continuing to feel a lot of pain from his right arm, “Gah, dang it!”

Lightning Dust kicked Lancer in the gut and informed everyone, “Loser! You should never cross with Viper Kai!” Lighting looked around to find Bright Eyes, but she was nowhere to be found. “You know, you could have saved him. Too bad you were too afraid to do it! You coward!” She patted Shark on the back and told him, “Awesome ruthlessness, Shark!”

Shark pretended to nod at Lightning and then Rumble told him, “Good job, bro.” Shark and Rumble fist bumped each other and the Viper Kai gang walked away from the laser tag area. However, after the rest of the Viper Kai gang exited the laser tag room, Shark looked back at Lancer, who was quivering in pain, and saw a tear roll down his face. With a look of regret, Shark just turned away.

Finally, it was over. Bright Eyes cried and whimpered after witnessing Lancer getting his arm broken. And as a result of the battle, Bright Eyes and her friends suffered defeat by the hands of Viper Kai.

Two weeks ago, in the Viper Kai dojo, the students were sparring and practicing their karate techniques until Kai exited from his office and told them with his hands behind his back, “Class. You worked hard today,” His students gathered around and paid attention to their sensei. “So before you’re dismissed, I have a little treat for ya. I wanna introduce you to a friend of mine.” Kai put his hands upfront and showed his students a white, adorable mouse.

Sone of the students were surprised to see the mouse while others had the opposite reaction.

One of the students, Silver Spoon, asked Kai, “Aww, what’s its name?”

“I don’t know. What should it be?” Kai asked his students, pretending to be like a nice caretaker.

Diamond Tiara, another student of Viper Kai, suggested, “Diamond Junior.”

Sensei Kai chuckled until he asked, “Silver Spoon, what do you think?”

“Um... Clarissa?” Silver Spoon suggested.

“Clarissa. Good. Here, take her.” Kai said as he give the mouse to Silver Spoon.

Silver Spoon couldn’t help but looked at the cute, little mouse. “Aww, she’s so cute, guys.” She said as the rest of the students along with their sensei chuckled.

“You know, it’s almost lunchtime,” Sensei Kai informed everyone until Silver Spoon abruptly asked him, “Ooh, can I feed her?”

“No,” Sensei Kai answered until he walked over to an item covered in a sheet. “But you can feed him.” He said as Sensei Kai unveiled the sheet, revealing to be a viper hissing in its tank.

The students were intimidated by the viper and they all whispered, feeling that they were uncomfortable seeing a viper.

Silver Spoon got nervous and asked Sensei Kai, “Uh... what does he like to eat?”

“He likes to eat... Clarissa.” Sensei Kai answered.

Some of the students gasped, shocked by his decision, and Silver Spoon felt sad after hearing her sensei’s answer.

Sensei Kai instructed her, “It’s okay. Come on.”

Silver gently walked towards the cage and stopped as Kai said, “There you go.”

The sensei opened the roof door to the cage as the viper hissed and the mouse squeaked. Silver Spoon couldn’t bear to watch the poor mouse getting eaten. So, she got rid of her nerves and stood up for herself. “I can’t,” Silver Spoon said.

Sensei Kai understood her emotions and replied, “It’s okay,” He gently took Clarisse back from Silver Spoon. “I understand. Clarissa is your friend. It’s okay to object.” He said.

Then, Sensei Kai looked around and asked the students, “Anyone else objects?”

Half of the majority of his students raised their hands, especially Babs Seed and Diamond Tiara. Sensei Kai was disappointed and told them, “You’re off the team. Get out!”

Shark looked around and was shocked by his uncle’s decision.

Silver Spoon begged her sensei, “But...”

“I said OUT!” Sensei Kai shouted right in her face. “GET!” He added.

Silver walked out of the dojo along with Babs Seed and the other rejected students. However, Diamond Tiara couldn’t stand of her best friend feeling sad and spoke up to him, “You know what, if she’s leaving, I’m leaving too! You’re no sensei, you’re nothing but a bad teacher!”

Sensei Kai understood her words and Diamond Tiara stormed off from the dojo. After that, he looked at the remaining students who were still in the dojo and never said a word. They were Shark, Rumble, Lightning Dust, Rolling Thunder, Short Fuse, Heath Burns, Thunderbass, Crimson Napalm, and Valhallen. They all watched as Sensei Kai dropped the mouse inside the snake tank, leaving Clarissa trapped to her death by Sensei Kai’s pet viper and Kai grinned after that.

After the dojo was closed for the day just half an hour later, Shark, entered his uncle’s office as his uncle was about to use a cigar. Kai looked up to his nephew and he can tell that Shark was upset.

Sensei Kai asked his nephew, “Are you sad to see your friends go?”

“Uh... No, sensei.” Shark nervously answered.

“Go on. You can speak freely. You’re my nephew. You can tell me anything.” Sensei Kai encouraged his nephew.

Shark gulped and replied, “First, my girlfriend, Diamomd Tiara broke up with me. Second, is this the right time to make cuts? We’re already down students just minutes ago.”

“This is addition by subtraction. A true snake feels no sympathy for its meals.” Sensei Kai informed Shark as he felt a bit shook up. “Do you have a problem with that?” He asked.

“No sensei.” Shark answered.

“Good.” Sensei Kai replied.

“I just don’t understand the plan. With the karate clubs from schools in our area are shutting down, we might be able to get some new recruits.” Shark suggested.

Sensei Kai responded, “But we will. In due time.”

Shark listened very carefully as his uncle continued speaking, “But first, we need to strengthen our core. Then we’ll find some new recruits who doesn’t show fear and weakness. Would you agree?”

After hearing out his uncle’s plan, Shark nodded.

In a flashback, Kai was a young adult and he was in the military. He was stationed in a military camp in Vietnam.

While Kai was hanging out with two of his best friends, a sergeant came by and called, “Kai.”

Kai replied, “Yes sir.”

“Command tent. Some captain’s in there asking for you.” The sergeant informed Kai.

“Uh-oh.” Soldier #1 said.

Soldier #2 told Kai, “Oh, good luck.”

Kai entered the captain’s tent and saw the captain practicing his combat skills on a wing chun bamboo dummy and broke the part of the dummy with his fist. The captain was old, but tough. Probably about between 50s and 60s.

Kai stood up front and called, “Captain.”

The captain saw Kai and told him, “At ease.”

Kai relaxed and stood up straight as the captain picked up his towel to wipe off the sweat on his face. “You must be Kai?”

Kai nodded as his captain informed him, “Yeah. Well, your CO tells me you’re a real go-getter. Volunteerin’ to walk point. Joinin’ ambush teams. You got a death wish, kid?”

“Not wishin’ for it, just not afraid of it.” Kai answered.

The captain asked, “Is that right?”

Kai answered again, “Some people can’t tell the difference, sir.”

“You have any idea how many men we have in this camp?” The captain questioned Kai.

Kai replied, “In ‘Nam?”

“Yeah.” The captain said.

Kai thought about it and answered, “Probably half a million.”

“Most of ‘em don’t make a bit of difference,” Then the captain pointed his finger at Kai, “But you... you can make a difference.”

“That’s why I’m here, sir,” Kai said.

“Mm-hmm.” The captain nodded.

“Defend my country. To be a hero.” Kai stated as the captain put a cigar in his mouth.

“Be a...” The captain laughed before taking the cigar off his mouth, “That’s good. Because I’m formin’ a team. We’ll work out of CCN. Direct action missions into north Vietnam. This is the real war. We’ll go sterile into triple canopy jungle. No insignias, no ID. The team will be you, me, and a few specialists.”

“I know a couple of guys, sir.” Kai answered.

The captain informed his cadet, “I’ll train you myself. Guerrilla tactics, demolitions, hand-to-hand combat.”

Kai asked the captain, “What kind of hand-to-hand we talking, sir?”

The captain explained to him, “You wanna defeat your enemy, gotta learn to fight like your enemy. That’s how I learned Tang Soo Do during the Korean War under Master Kim SunYung. You’ll learn the same. If you think you can handle it.”

Kai smiled and felt ready to learn some new combat skills from his captain. So, he said, “You’re gosh darn right I can... Sir.”

“All right, you make it through, you’ll get your beret...” The captain laughed. “...A few scars, maybe even a battlefield commission to boot.”

Kai asked, “And if I don’t make it through?”

“Well, then you’ll show up on some MIA list in 30 years when they declassify all of this stuff. I’m asking you to become more than just a soldier, son. Understand that?” The captain asked.

Kai nodded and his captain told him, “If we’re going to do this, we need the absolute best.”

Back to present-day, throughout the past week, Sensei Kai had been searching and observing every teen from CHS and Crystal Prep. First, he observed Dumb-bell who was lifting a heavy barbell while the other two boys, Hoops and Score, were watching him in case he needed help.

“We need strength.”

Then, he observed one of the girls in the Crystal Prep basketball team who were practicing on the court.

“We need determination.”

“What?!” The girl named Cold Forecast shouted, getting into her opponent’s face while guarding the ball.

“We need brutality.”

Finally, he observed Rover who was now a part of the CHS Wrestling team and put his opponent into a headlock until he tapped out in submission. Rover planted his opponent’s head on the mat and laughed as an insult to injury after that.

“And all you have to do is say yes...”

“...and I will mold you into the ultimate weapon.” Sensei Kai informed the Diamond Dogs after the wrestling competition in CHS was over.

“So, are you in, or not?” Sensei asked Rover.

Back to the Vietnam flashback, Kai was given the same question.

Kai answered, “I’m all in, sir.”

“Excellent.” The captain said as he smiled.

Back to present-day, The Turtles, Rainbooms, and their allies were rounding up some Purple Dragon thugs including Hun after the heroes defeated them in an attempt to steal money from the bank.

“Woo! That felt great!” Mikey said.

“You said it, Mikey!” Pinkie cheered.

The ninjas celebrated until Sunset’s phone was ringing. “Excuse me, guys. I’ll be right back.” Sunset said as she walked to the nearest phone booth. She picked up her phone and said, “Hi Bright Eyes. What’s up?”

After letting Bright Eyes talk, Sunset told her, “Woah, woah, woah. Slow down. Tell me exactly what happened.”

Minutes later, Sunset was feeling upset and walked towards her friends and alerted them, “Guys, we need to go. Now!”

“What’s wrong, Sunset?” Leo asked her.

“It’s Bright Eyes and her friends. They’ve been attacked.” Sunset answered.

The ninjas gasped.

Later in the evening, the Turtles, Rainbooms, and their allies arrived at Pinkie’s house to check on the Young Ninjas. Everyone was feeling upset and Lancer was already in the hospital.

Sunset asked the kids, “Why would guys go after the Viper Kai students?!”

“They stole all the charity money!” Half Note answered.

Rainbow Dash felt angry and shouted, “They did what?!”

“And beat the snot out of me too!” Logan added.

Smolder also informed their mentors, “And when we got in trouble at the soccer game, they weaseled their way out of punishment, and bamboozled Celestia into giving all the blame to us!”

“They came after us, so we had to fight back! And we would have beat those jerks if Bright Eyes hadn't chickened out on us!” Patch said as she and everyone else locked eyes onto Bright Eyes.

Bright Eyes felt sad and told their mentors, “Shark broke Lancer's arm! And I couldn’t save him because I was too afraid of Lightning Dust! Lancer got hurt and we lost, all because I was too much of a coward!

Leo calmed her down and said, “Hey, hey, Bright Eyes. It's not your fault.”

Bright Eyes teared up and shot back, “Yes it is! It was my idea to get payback on them! I just wanted to show them that we couldn't be bullied!”

After that explanation, Leo hugged Bright Eyes to comfort her. “It’s okay, we’ll figure out a way to stop this. We promise.”

“Yeah. Pinkie Promise!” Pinkie added while being happy as always.

The Young Ninjas nodded and understood their mentors.

“Can you all stay here and watch over them?” Leo asked them as he was ready to walk out.

Sunset stopped him and questioned his motives, “Wait, where are you going?”

“I’m going to have a little chat with Sensei Kai.” Leo told her.

Sunset responded, “Are you nuts? He’ll set a trap for you over there or his students might show up and beat you up.”

“Trust me. I know what I’m doing. Please?” Leo begged Sunset.

Sunset sighed, “Okay, but don’t come crying if you got yourself bitten by those vipers.”

After their conversation, Leo went off to find the Viper Kai dojo while Sunset went to take care of the Young Ninjas with her friends.

Later on, Leo found the Viper Kai dojo downtown from Canterlot and entered inside. He looked around to find anyone inside and asked, “Hello? Is anyone here?”

Sensei Kai entered from his office and saw Leo. Kai told him, “We’re closed, son...”

Leo looked at the sensei with anger in his eyes as Sensei Kai smiled. He said, “Oh, you must be one of those ninja turtles. Leo, is it?”

“How do you know who I am?” Leo interrogated him.

Sensei Kai answered, “I’ve been spying on you and your friends for quite a long time since the summer. Anyway, tell me why you are here in my dojo?”

Leo had no idea that Sensei Kai saw through him, but Leo responded, “You taught your students how to fight. I respect that. However, are one of those lessons taught your students how to jump a bunch of kids and break one of their arms? ‘Cause that’s what your students did tonight.”

Sensei Kai wasn’t sure what Leo was taking about, but he decided to go with the flow and asked, “Did they?” He approached Leo and said, “Must’ve had it coming. Well, it's not my fault that your student was a spineless coward!”

Suddenly, Sensei Kai was grabbed by Leo and thrown across the room, smashing into his display case of medals that he earned during his time in the military. As he got up, Leo had his sword aimed at his throat.

Leo threatened him, “If you, or any of your students, EVER hurt our friends again, you'll answer to us! And we'll show you the meaning of 'no mercy'!”

Sensei Kai never spoke a word as Leo put his sword away and exited the dojo. He smiled after the confrontation between them, knowing that it won’t be the last time he’ll see him again. So, he cleaned up the mess in the dojo before he went to sleep.

The next day in Viper Kai dojo, as the viper hissed in its cage, Heath was telling his classmates about what happened in the arcade yesterday.

“Man, it was so sick! Lightning was just kickin’ butt. I took care of Teddy. Oh, and Shark got that baby Lancer in an armbar like Chris Jeircho and just...” Heath said as he mimicked the breaking sound. “Cold-blooded. No mercy.” He said as he fist bumped Rolling Thunder.

“Way to go, Shark.” Crimson Napalm congratulated Shark.

Lightning Dust came by to talk to Shark and said, “You know, I didn’t think you were actually going to do it...”

Shark thought about it and replied, “They got what they deserved. No question about it.”

“Yeah. They should’ve thought about the consequences of going into battle against us.” Lightning suggested.

“Agreed.” Shark said as the doors of the dojo opened.

The students of Viper Kai turned their attention to the visitors coming in, but the only person who was shocked was Shark. Aside from the students of Crystal Prep and CHS, Shark saw the Diamond Dogs along with the Boy Bullies and he was... scared. He started to have flashbacks remembering those six bullies in CHS.

A long time ago, Lancer and Shark with short, wavy hair used to be friends. When they were in the library of CHS, Hopps, Score, Dumb-bell, and the Diamond Dogs were picking on Shark while Lancer and Ace were uncomfortable watching the confrontation.

Rover grabbed his head and told his dawgs and the Boy Bullies as they laughed, “Look at this freak. What kind of girl would ever kiss that lip?”

Shark’s old self was more nervous and scared than ever.

“Class. Welcome our new students.” Sensei Kai informed his students as Rover locked eyes on Shark. Then, Heath approached the Diamond Dogs and insulted them, “I’m gonna call you guys... Shortstuff, Chodenose, and Taintbreath.”

The Diamond Dogs never liked that comment as Rover said, “What the heck did you just say?”

“Oh, uh, nothing. It’s just this thing we do around here sometimes,” Heath explained as Rover was about to make a move on him, but Heath flinched and walked back to his spot, “OK.”

Shark went to talk to his uncle and told him, “Sensei, I don’t think these guys are Viper Kai material.”

“Weren’t you the one saying that we should get new recruits?” Sensei Kai questioned his nephew.

Shark answered while feeling nervous, “Well, yeah. But... Look, I know some of these guys and they’re --”

“Natural athletes. Which is exactly what’s been missing in our dojo.” Sensei Kai informed Shark, continuing to feel nervous. “Everyone, fall in.” He instructed everyone and gave his nephew an icy glare. Shark bowed and went to his spot as everyone gathered around.

Sensei Kai prepared a speech and stated, “Joining Viper Kai is a privilege. It’s not a gift. Which is why our recruits must earn their position in this dojo,” Shark looked back at Rover as Rover glared back at Shark. After Shark glanced at Rover, he and Rover looked at Sensei Kai and continued listening to him. “Prepare yourselves for combat. Only the strong will survive.”

Meanwhile in Pinkie’s house, the Rainbooms and Turtles were watching over their students until Sunset entered the house and informed everyone, “Everyone, I just got a call from Principal Celestia and I got some news to share with you. You guys want the good new or the bad news first?”

“Start with the bad news please? Just get over with it already.” Smolder suggested.

Sunset sighed, “Well, the bad news is, the Rainbooms will not be competing in the tournament.”

Everyone shouted, “WHAT?!” After hearing the bad news, everyone started talking different questions and comments to Sunset at the same time until Sunset yelled, “QUIET!”

Her friends stopped talking and Sunset said before taking a deep breath, “Anyway, the reason why my friends and I we’re not competing in the tournament is because of our magical powers. We can’t use them because it’s not right and that’s cheating.”

“What if you take off your necklace?” Ocellus asked.

Sunset answered, “If we do that, then our enemies will have the chance to steal our geodes from us.”

“Fair enough.” Gallus commented.

“Now the good news is, our school will be hosting the tournament.” Sunset announced as everyone celebrated.

“So does this mean that my brothers and I can go to the tournament by being their sensei?” Leo suggested.

Sunset answered, “Unfortunately, no. You guys don’t even go to our school. That’s what Celestia told me.”

Donnie commented, “Fair enough.”

“So, who’s going to be our sensei for our school’s karate club?” Bright Eyes asked Sunset.

“You’ll find out tomorrow after school.” Sunset replied as Bright Eyes nodded.

Rainbow put her hand in and ordered her friends, “Oh yeah. Let’s show Viper Kai that we’re no slouches and we’re going to win this tournament and save our school. Who’s with me?”

Everyone put their hands in and shouted, “Go, Hamato Clan!”

Back in the Viper Kai dojo, Sensei Kai instructed everyone, “Class, prepare for combat.”

“All right.” One of the new students said.

Fido exclaimed as he saw a snake in its tank, “Pet snake! Legit! Yeah.”

Then, the Diamond Dogs and the Boy Bullies looked at Shark until he remembered who he was and told his dawgs, “Holy smokes! You remember? Look, it’s the kid with the lip.”

“Yo, I thought he moved.” Hoops suggested as he remembered as well.

Fido remembered and added, “Oh yeah. You’re right! Right.”

The Diamond Dogs weren’t talking to Shark, they were talking about Shark’s old self.

“And the hair kinda distracts you from it.” Dumb-bell said as the rest of the bullies laughed while Shark hid his lip.

Sensei Kai informed everyone on the mat, “All right, class. Let the games begin,” He looked around to pick a student until he picked Rover first, “You.”

Rover was pumped up as Spot cheered, “Oh yeah.”

“All right, bro. You got this.” Fido motivated Rover.

Then, Sensei Kai looked at Heath and laughed, “You.”

Heath nodded as both opponents entered the mat and Heath bowed to him.

“Ready?” Sensei Kai asked.

Both opponents got into their fighting stance until Sensei Kai shouted, “Ai!”

Rover was about to take him down, but Heath kicked him in the face and Heath gets a point. Rover groaned after that kick from Heath, but he went back into the match and told him, “Now you’re dead.”

Heath started swinging some punches and kicks, but Rover dodged them until he threw Heath over with a wrestling takedown and put him in a tight headlock. After that, Heath tapped out and Rover won the second round. Sensei Kai looked at his nephew with contempt and concern as Shark looked down.

“Finish him.” Sensei Kai ordered Rover.

The Diamond Dog leader lifted him by the collar and punched him in the face.

“Oooh...” Everyone reacted.

Fido and Spot laughed and Rover said as he gave them high fives, “Yo, lights out, baby.”

Heath got up and walked slowly towards his spot but Sensei Kai stopped him. “Where are you going?” He asked.

Heath answered, “To my spot.”

“You lost to an untrained fighter. He’s going to take your spot on the team.” Sensei Kai informed his weak student.

The Diamond Dogs celebrated until Shark spoke up for Heath, “Sensei, Heath has been loyal to the dojo.”

“I’m afraid he’s not... Viper Kai material. I told you, only the strong will survive.” Sensei Kai reminded his nephew.

Shark was all on board with his plan, but deep down inside, Shark didn’t like where uncle’s plan was going.

Back to the Vietnam flashback, Kai was having a sparring match with his general in the concentration camp while two of his comrades watched them fight.

“Combat! Ready? Fight! Come on, kill me.” Kai’s captain ordered.

A young Kai in his 20s started throwing punches, but the general dodged them until Kai swung a right to the general’s face. However, he went to check on the general instead of defeating him, which was an unwise choice by Kai. The general suckered Kai right into his trap by throwing him down on the ground and proceeded to punch Kai in the face, but he stopped. Kai’s general put his fist down and taught him a lesson, “You lose concentration on the battlefield, and you’re dead meat! You understand?”

“Yes, sensei. Sorry, I just thought--” Kai explained before the general cut him off.

“Don’t think! Your enemy wants you dead, so you got two choices. Kill or be killed. No hesitation, no second thoughts, and no mercy!” The general stated, ready to pop a vein out of him.

Kai suggested, “What if they surrender?”

“Never trust your enemy. You can leave all of that peace and love stuff for the college sissies back home! Now gentlemen, we have a mission tomorrow. Are we ready or not?” The general asked.

Kai and the other two soldiers replied in unison, “Yes sir.”

“Yeah, well, you better hope so. Now go get some rest. You’re gonna need it.” The captain told his men until his sergeant called, “Captain.”

The captain walked towards him and he gave his captain a red envelope. He took it and read the letter after opening it. After reading the letter, the captain glanced at Kai as he was looking at a photo of his girlfriend back home. “Oh crud. Not a word of this to Kai, understood? A distraction like that could get him killed.”

The cap’s sergeant nodded and walked away as the captain glanced at Kai, feeling concerned of what would happen if he told Kai about the letter.

“I’ll be home soon, doll face.” Kai promised as he continued to look at the photo.

Meanwhile in New York, Karai was on the rooftop of her hideout to get some fresh air until she sensed something.

“Hello, Leo. Long time no see,” Karai said as Leo appeared from behind. “So, what’s up?”

“We got a problem. Kai is back and he's up to no good again.” Leo warned Karai.

Karai remembered that name and responded, “I see.”

“Plus, he's using our moves against us.” Leo informed Karai of their situation.

Karai started to connect the dots until she found an answer, “So, his karate students beat up our ninja friends with ninjitsu? That’s very intriguing. Ninjitsu takes a long time to practice... unless... Kai taught his students ninjitsu and combine it with karate. That’s my case.”

“Well, my friends and I were thinking the same thing. So, we need your help to rat him out of town.” Leo offered.

Karai thought about his offer and she answered, “Hmm, I’m not sure, but I’ll see what I can do. But in the meantime, I’m helping Cadence’s Crystal Prep Karate Club to get them trained for the tournament. And when the day of the tournament arrives, I hope your students are ready.”

“Oh don’t worry, we will. Nice talking with you, Karai. I’ll see you at the tournament.” Leo said as he left her hideout.

“Yeah, you too.” Karai went back to her hideout, still thinking about Leo’s offer.

Back in the Viper Kai dojo, Cold Forecast and Lightning Dust squared off in the middle of the mat. Cold Forecast threw some punches, but Lightning Dust ducked and kicked Forecast on her left knee, making her kneel down, followed by a back kick to the face of Cold Forecast. After Cold Forecast was down, Lightning Dust proceeded to kick Cold Forecast in the face again, really hard.

Cold Forecast started to feel pain from her tooth and told Lightning, “You chipped my tooth.”

“You needed braces anyway.” Lightning Dust shot back as an angry Cold Forecast got up.

Sensei Kai congratulated Lightning, “Good job, Lightning Dust,” And when he looked at Cold Forecast, “You know the drill. Off the mat.”

Two girls locked eyes on each other once more, knowing that it won’t be the last time they’ll see each other again.

Dumb-bell commented, “Dang, girl.” He told his buds, “You see that?”

Sensei Kai locked eyes on Fido and said, “You, big boy.”

Shark looked at him like he was fresh meat while Dumb-bell was pumped up and laughed as he moved to the center of the mat, “Oh yeah! All right, who’s going down next? Woo! Come on.”

“Let’s go!” Hoops cheered.

Shark fiercely demanded, “He’s mine!”

The bullies were even more excited as Rover smiled and told Shark, “Get him, Lip!”

Dumb-bell was feeling confident and said, “OK, all right. Let’s see if I can fix that lip of yours then.”

https://youtu.be/2SGdz3BoS8c

As the mohawk punk entered the mat, he slowly took off the top of his karate gi, revealing his tattoo of a shark on his bare back and a little grim reaper on his left pec.

The big guy was intimidated by Shark’s tattoos and commented, “Dude.”

Sensei Kai looked at Valhallen and waved his hand, signaling Valhallen put down the flags for scoring. Shark’s uncle knew what he was doing, knowing that his nephew was going to win the match easily. As both fighters got into their fighting stance, Sensei Kai nodded and signaled Shark to go ahead and start the match. The match started and Shark hit Dumb-bell with a fast spinning front kick to the face. Hoops, Score, Rover, and Spot’s smiles turned upside down as everyone watched Shark beat the living snot out of Dumb-bell without giving him a chance to strike back.

Dumb-bell felt dizzy and begged Shark, “Please, stop?”

Shark didn’t bother to show Dumb-bell mercy and threw him down to the ground.

“Finish hi--” As Sensei Kai was about to finish his sentence, Shark severely punched Dumb-bell in the face repeatedly in revenge for bullying him, this sparked fear into the Boy Bullies and the Diamond Dogs. The rest of the students were uncomfortable watching the beatdown except Sensei Kai who was chuckling. After it was over, Shark looked at the five bullies dead in the eye, letting them know that he’s not the same kid that they picked on anymore. The only thing Hoops, Score, and the Diamond Dogs could do now was to watch his friend suffer as Dumb-bell groaned weakly.

“All right, class. I think we’ll call it a day. Somebody pick him up.” Sensei Kai instructed his students as he went back to his office while Hoops and Score went to help Dumb-bell.

Back in Kai’s office, Shark went to confront his uncle.

“The Diamond Dogs cannot be on our team.” Shark informed him.

Kai grabbed his mug of coffee and said, “With the tournament coming up, we need as much strength as we can get.”

“We don’t need them. They bullied me before. They’re the enemy!” Shark rebuffed.

Kai gave his nephew advice, “You know when I was at overseas, it’s hard to tell who was the enemy. A defenseless local woman would pull a knife on your throat the next. Do you know what I learn?”

“What’s that?” Shark asked his uncle.

Kai answered, “The enemy of your enemy is your friend.“

The next morning, the Rainbooms and Turtles were training the Young Ninjas in Pinkie’s backyard to prepare for the martial arts tournament in CHS. When she was about to start her training, Bright Eyes started to see flashbacks of her fight with Lightning Dust and Blade Swipe taking the fall. It was like a nightmare being played repeatedly over and over in her brain. She couldn’t shake that feeling and decided to ran off.

“I can’t do it! I just can’t!” Bright Eyes shouted as she went inside the house.

Bright Eyes lied down on the couch and covered herself with a blanket, feeling more afraid than ever.

Her friends felt worried after watching Bright Eyes ran away until Leo spoke up, “Don’t worry, I’ll talk to her. Just give us a moment.”

His brothers and the Rainbooms nodded as Leo went back inside the house while his other two friends resumed coaching their students.

Leo found her covered in a blanket on the couch. He decided to sat down right and asked her, “Hey there, Bright Eyes. Do you mind if I talk to you?”

Bright Eyes was silent and refused to answer. Leo encouraged her, “Look. You don’t have to talk to me. I just want to let you know that I’m always here for you. Right?”

However, Bright Eyes still didn’t answer.

Leo asked her again, “Is this about that girl, Lightning Dust?”

Bright Eyes took off the blanket and nodded. She cried, “Yeah... It all started when me, Teddy, and the Young Six were visiting here...”

One year ago, Bright Eyes, Teddy, and the Young Six were visiting CHS.

“Lightning Dust and her friends, Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse, were going to do a dangerous stunt to try and one up on Rainbow Dash. I got worried and so I told Principal Celestia and she gave them all detention. She also banned them from ever trying any stunts on school grounds. Lightning Dust swore she'd make me pay, and boy did she make a good threat. She and her friends jumped me in the hall and she attacked me! I barely managed to hold my own against her and she roughed up pretty bad. She even scratched my arm. Blade tried to break us up, but Rolling Thunder attacked him and threw him over the second floor! And he got hurt! Real bad!”

Bright Eyes continued with tears running down on her face, “I've been afraid of Lightning Dust ever since! When I saw her the other night, all I could think about was that horrible day and I froze! And last night, I had a nightmare that she attacked me! My brain could feel it starting, and so my body just... stopped. It felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I’m scared! I’ve never been so alone.”

Leo knew what it was like to have fear inside. He laid a hand on Bright Eye’s shoulder and told her, “You’re not alone. I get it. Believe me, I've been traumatized like that too. Like when I got injured by the Shredder during the Kraang invasion. And me and the rest of my team almost got killed by the Joker. In fact, there was a time when I almost lost to fear.

Bright Eyes took interest of what Leo said and asked him, “You did? When was that?”

Leo sighed and thought about it. But then, he got an idea and told her, “It's better if I show you.” Leo stood up and held out his hand to his student. After a moment, Bright Eyes finally took his hand and they went out to find a familiar place that Leo remembered.

Meanwhile, Sensei Kai arrived in his office to put his bag away until he saw a picture frame. He went over to his desk and looked at the picture. It was an old photo of him and his two war buddies when they were at the military during the Vietnam War. He looked back and remembered the day Kai went on a stealth mission with his two comrades and their captain. During their mission, he hesitated because he was waiting on his friend to set the bombs, but it ultimately cost him the mission and lost his friend as a result.

After feeling a bit of guilt inside, Kai put down the picture frame and sensed something in his dojo. He exited from his office and saw three Foot ninjas standing on the mat, feeling hostile with swords in their hands.

Kai chuckled, “Well, well, well, I never thought I’d see the Foot Clan again. Now tell me, what brings you gentlemen here?”

“Leave now or you will suffer the consequences.” One of the ninjas demanded as they got into their battle stance.

Kai sighed and pointed the mat, “You know, I just cleaned the blood off that mat,” Then Kai looked at the ninjas with a sinister smile on his face, “Oh well.”

Later on, Leo took Bright Eyes to the ruins of the Shredder's mansion.

Leo asked her, “Do you know this place, Bright Eyes?”

“It's where you defeated Super Shredder.” Bright Eyes answered.

Leo nodded, “Yes. But it's also where I almost gave in to fear,” Bright Eyes stared as he went on.

During the final showdown between the ninjas and Super Shredder.

“Super Shredder had us overpowered and beaten. He even sprained my arm. I was terrified. I thought we were all done for. But then I saw Master Splinter. And he said to me...”

“Fear nothing!”

Leo continued explaining, “So I got back up and defeated the Shredder once and for all.

“I guess Master Splinter always had a way of fixing things.” Bright Eyes said.

Leo told her, “There’s no question his advice was something that I needed to hear. Master Splinter helped, but ultimately, it was me that overcame my fear. I may still live with that fear on some level, but I just try to not let fear ever win the battle,” Then he looked at Bright Eyes, “But you. Only you can conquer your fear, Bright Eyes. No one else. I promise, I will be there... always to help you, no matter where we are in the world. I will always be your sensei. Just like Master Splinter was there for me, my brothers, and my friends.”

After hearing Leo’s dramatic speech, Bright Eyes felt much better and smiled.

Back at Pinkie’s house, the Rainbooms and Turtles finished training the Young Ninjas and Rainbow Dash asked her students, “So, who's ready to take down Viper Kai?”

Before one of them answered, someone shouted, “I am!”

Everyone turned around and found Bright Eyes with a look of determination.

Bright Eyes told everyone, “This time, we're gonna show those Viper Kai students that the Hamato Clan won't stay down!”

Leo smiled and nodded as he watched his students from inside the house.

Back in the Viper Kai dojo, the Viper Kai students stood on a new mat as Sensei Kai walked to the mat and stood in front of his students. He informed them, “We are only as strong as our weakest links. When we remove these links, this is what’s left. We are one unit. With one united purpose. Forward strike. Ready?,” His students got into their fighting stance and Kai shouted, “Ai!”

“Kyo!” The students shouted.

The Viper Kai students continued practicing their forward strikes together while Sensei Kai was continued to give them more tips, “You’re whole life, you’ve been told to be good. But good is only a matter of perspective. Always remember your enemies think that they’re doing what’s right. They think they’re the hero and you’re the villain. But now, you know the truth. There is no good. There is no bad. Only weak... or strong. And now that we’ve shed our weakness, it’s time to show our strength. If you do that, I promise you... you will be unstoppable.”

The next day, Babs was finished talking with Sunflower at school and walked around after that until she noticed her cousin, Apple Bloom, had a black eye.

Babs went to check on her cousin and asked her, “What happened?”

“I... kinda got into a fight...” Apple Bloom embarrassedly answered.

Then, Babs saw Lancer at his locker and greeted him, “Hey, Lance.”

“Hey.” Lancer replied. And when he closed his locker, Babs saw that his arm was in a cast.

Babs asked him, “What's going on? How'd yah get so beat up?”

“We've got a lot to catch up on...” Lancer said and Apple Bloom nodded.

The school bell rang and everyone in the hallways went to their classrooms.

Few hours later, it was lunchtime. Lancer was carrying his tray of lunch with his cast until he accidentally bumped into Rumble and Rover.

“Oh man.” Lancer groaned.

Rumble felt like he was going to punch him, but he didn’t decided to act like a nice kid. He responded, “Oh you thought I was going to knock down your tray? Come on, man. I’m better than that. But hey, nice cast. Want me to sign it? Say no more.”

While Rumble was signing something on Lancer’s cast, Heath Burns was walking towards Shark’s table and Shark’s friends were giggling and whispering about Heath who was feeling sad.

Shark put his feet on the empty seat and told Heath, “Oh, sorry. Party’s full.”

Heath looked around and asked Shark, “Where am I supposed to sit?”

“With the other rejects.” Shark pointed to the table where all the kids, who lost their spots at the Viper Kai dojo, sat. Including Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.

Heath Burns frowned and walked away. When he did, Babs entered the cafeteria and confronted Shark. And she did not look happy.

Shark greeted her, “Hey, Babs.”

Babs Seed shot back, “Don't 'Hey, Babs' me! I heard what you and those jerks did to my cousin and her friends! And what you did to Lancer! How could you do that to your own buddy?!”

Shark reminded her, “Lancer's not my buddy. And they started the fight. We finished it.”

Babs Seed replied, “From what I heard, you started the fight by breaking Lancer's project,” Then she leaned in to his ear and whispered, “And for stealing the charity money.”

Shark frowned and said, “We're just laying down the law: Only the Strong Survive! And the Hamato Clan's weak!”

Babs shot back again, “Those are your uncle’s words! He’s got in your head, Swift!”

“That’s not my name anymore. It’s Shark now!” He reminded as the two glared at each other while Shark’s friends watched them argue.

Babs sighed, “Whatever! You used to be a nice guy, until you started training with your uncle! You trained in martial arts to stand up to bullies! Not become one! But now, I don't even know who you are anymore!“

And with that, she stormed off while Shark just stood there in thought, when he heard Rumble call...

“Hey, everyone! Check out Lancer!” Lancer called everyone in the cafeteria and held up Lancer's cast to reveal he had written 'Loser' on it. Shark’s friends laughed except Shark who was feeling upset. Then, Rover took his tray and splatted into his face. Then the two walked off laughing, leaving Lancer humiliated.

The Rainbooms were unhappy with Rover and Rumble after witnessing their act. Diamond Tiara didn’t like what she saw and decided to do something about it.

Diamond Tiara called Lancer, Hey, Lancer. Over here.”

Lancer walked up to her and she took a marker from her bag and signed something on it.He looked at what she wrote and smiled, “Thanks.”

“You’re welcome. Show those Viper Kai creeps who they’re dealing with!” Diamond Tiara replied

Silver Spoon added, “Yeah, those mice-killing psychos!”

Lancer nodded and went to confront Rumble and the Diamond Dogs to give him a message to Viper Kai.

Lancer shouted, “Hey, Rumble!”

The Diamond Dogs looked and Rumble turned around to see Lancer, “Hey, look who’s back, it's 'Loser'!

Lancer shot back, “Yeah, well, this Loser's got a message for Viper Kai!”

Rumble questioned him, “Really? And what's that?”

Suddenly, Lancer swept his legs and kicked him into the Diamond Dogs, knocking them down. Shark and his friends rushed out of their seats to aid their comrades. The students were astonished to see Lancer taking down his foes as Granny Smith, the Rainbooms, and Lancer’s friends smiled.

“The Hamato Clan won't stay down! Oh, and Diamond Tiara added a little something to your signature. Lancer showed them his cast, which now read 'Viper Kai are Losers!'.

Lancer walked away proudly and left the cafeteria and the Viper Kai students did the same, but went in the opposite direction.

“Yeah, that’s what you get for messing with us.” Rainbow stated.

Suddenly, Granny Smith screamed and ran away as she repeatedly said, “Snake! Snake!”

Kai’s pet viper slithered its way to the cafeteria from the kitchen as the CHS students screamed and ran away in terror.

“Where in the world did that snake come from?” Diamond Tiara asked as she and Silver Spoon hid behind Teddy.

“This must be Sensei Kai’s doing.” Sunset suggested as she and the rest of her friends felt angry that Kai crossed a line on them and vowed to plan a counterattack on Viper Kai.

Meanwhile in Crystal Prep, Karai, Shinigami, and Shining Armor were training Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, Lemon Zest, Sunny Flare and other students as part of the Crystal Prep Martial Arts Club for the martial arts tournament. While they were training, Suri Polomare, Ginger Owlseye, and Marco Dafoy entered the gym as Shining Armor, Karai, and the rest of the students stopped.

“Well, well, looks like we got new members on our team and our class just got bigger. All right, everybody. Make a room for them.” Shining Armor instructed them as Strawberry Sunrise, Lightning Dust, and Shark entered the gym.

“Wait a minute, you guys are from CHS. What are you doing here?” Shining Armor questioned them.

Karai thought to herself, “I got a bad feeling about this.”

Then, Sensei Kai and the rest of his students entered the gym as Kai smiled.

“I told you. Viper Kai for life.” Suri vowed.

Sensei Kai took off his sunglasses and confronted Karai, “Don’t worry, Karai. I’m not here for a fight.”

“Then why in the world are you here?” Karai asked.

Sensei Kai offered, “I’m here to tell you. Nice try, but you can’t end a war with your little dirty work. I’m always going to be one step ahead of my enemies. So, I want to make you an offer. Come to my dojo. It’ll be just like old times when you, me, and your father were running the Foot Clan of the old. Together, we’ll be unstoppable. For old time’s sake.”

Karai shot back at Sensei Kai, “You’re crazy if you think I’m ever teaming up with you again. The garbage you’re feeding them, the acts they’re pulling. It’s messed up. And you’re to blame for that.”

Kai frowned and replied, “I have to disagree with you right there. I care about my students. They’re strong and they’re true fighters. And they wouldn’t make the same mistake of showing mercy and ending up in a coma!”

Shinigami didn’t like that tone of his and decided to back up Karai, but Shark did the same too. However, Karai and Kai stopped them, ensuring them that the conversation‘s between old allies.

Sensei Kai looked at Karai in the eye and said, “This is it, Karai. There’s not going to be another chance.”

Karai paused for a moment until she answered, “Good.”

Sensei Kai understood her choice and informed her, “OK. You made your choice. And you are going to regret it. So I suggest you prepare your students for battle. Because now, it’s open season. On them, the Hamato Clan, and you.”

After the confrontation, Sensei Kai put his sunglasses back on and walked away along with the rest of his students.

Karai felt more determined than ever as tensions started to heat things up between Viper Kai and two different dojos from two different schools.

Alliance?

The next morning, the three teachers from three different dojos showed the contrasting methodologies at play.

At Rarity’s house...

Leo explained his students as the Rainbooms listened and watched, “I know it’s been awhile since we trained you all to defend yourselves and learn the ways of ninjitsu. But now, things have gotten worse. That’s why we’re here. The only way to stop Viper Kai is if we all work together. But always remember, the reason we learn martial arts is--”

Meanwhile in the CPA gym...

Karai continued explaining to her students, “To show the world that you’re not a bunch of wimpy nerds! We’re gonna show ‘em that you’re tough! Because we don’t quit! And we, don’t back down from anyone. Just don’t forget, the goal isn’t to hurt other people. The goal, is to--”

Meanwhile at the Viper Kai dojo...

Sensei Kai explained to his students as well, “Win at all costs. Those we thought to be our allies have turned against us. Now our enemies are attacking us from all sides. There is no turning back. Now is the time to show them--”

Leo resumed speaking as his students started training, “Forgiveness. Compassion. Master Splinter used to say that if you’re looking for revenge, you could start by digging two graves. He was right. If you have hate in your heart, then you’ve already lost. I know it’s not easy, but you have to do whatever you can--”

Karai resumed speaking as her students started training, “To beat the living snot out of ‘em. Don’t let ‘em push you around. You gotta swoop down like a ninja, grab ‘em with your hands and sink your teeth into ‘em. But I don’t ever want you to start the fight. I just want you to--”

“-Finish it. For good.” Sensei Kai resumed speaking as his students started training.

Sensei Kai asked his students, “Do I make myself clear?”

The students from three different dojos replied in unison, “Yes, Sensei.”

The three different teachers smiled and understood their students.

Later in the afternoon, Shark, Rumble, and the Diamond Dogs were in the middle of a forest and they were planning something.

Shark informed everyone, “OK, we’ve got one shot at this. Quick, in and out, we’ll be good.” He then looked at Rumble and asked him, “Know what you gotta do?”

“Heck yeah.” Rumble answered as he took a sip of soda.

Rover cheered, “Let’s go. Yeah.”

Then, the Washouts arrived to join Shark’s gang.

“Perfect. Just in time.” Shark commented.

Rover grabbed a can of soda and offered them, “Here you go.”

“I’m good.” Short Fuse replied.

Shark asked, “What, you can’t handle a sip of soda?”

“I just don’t need to pretend to be cool because I’m already cool. You got that?!” Short Fuse responded, feeling like he was about to explode.

As Shark was about to throw down Short Fuse, Rover stopped Shark and told everyone, “All right. Enough. Let’s get going.”

The Viper Kai gang went through the hole of a chained fence that was busted open. Turns out, it was a shortcut to the Canterlot City Zoo.

“The zoo? Why do we have to sneak in?” Rolling Thunder asked.

Rover said, “You’ll see.”

“Come on. This way.” Shark led his gang to the facility of the zoo.

The gang entered the zoo and went to the left stairway until they stopped and Shark informed them, “Right, there’s two cameras over there. The guard goes on break once every hour. We have less than five minutes.”

“OK.” Rumble nodded.

Shark and his gang went upstairs while Lightning asked Rover, “Five minutes to do what?”

“We’re getting a little gift for sensei. You didn’t see that text on your phone?” Rover replied.

“No, the battery of my phone died.” Lightning answered as she and Rover went to catch up with Shark’s gang.

They went to the reptile section where all the lizards and of course, snakes, were held in display. Shark, Rumble, and the Washouts entered the reptile room while the Diamond Dogs were on guard. Once they were inside, Shark unzipped his backpack and pulled out a bag to put the snake in.

Shark asked Rumble, “You got the snake pole?”

Rumble was about to get it from the pocket of his pants until he realized he forgot to bring it, “Aw, man! Snake pole, right.”

Shark was not happy to hear that and told him, “I orchestrated this entire plan and you didn’t bring the one thing you were in charge of?”

“I forgot, OK? I’ve got a lot on my mind right now. If I don’t pass geometry this semester, my parents are gonna ground me for the rest of my life.”

Rolling Thunder whispered to Shark, “Just reach in and grab the snake!”

“Are you insane? I’m not gonna stick my hand in there!” Shark whispered back.

“You know what, stand aside. Let me handle this!” Short Fuse whispered as he walked towards the tank.

Shark did not like where this was going and whispered, “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?”

Short Fuse popped a vein on his head and whispered, “Don’t question me! I got this!”

As Short Fuse was about to put his hand inside the tank until...

“Hey, who’s in there?” One of the staff members questioned.

“Oh crud. We gotta go.” Shark alerted his gang as they exited the reptile room except Lightning Dust who was willing to take the risk.

After Shark’s gang went back outside the fence, Shark interrogated Rumble, “What in the world were you thinking, you idiot?”

“Dude. At least I brought sodas.” Rumble answered.

“We failed the mission because of you!” Shark yelled.

Then, Lightning Dust went outside the fence with a stuffed bag in her hand and said, “Who said we failed?”

Shark’s gang heard a hissing sound inside the bag, meaning that there’s a snake inside. Everyone was surprised that Lightning got it before security noticed.

“No way.” Shark commented.

Rover asked, “You got it? Unreal.”

“Let’s see it.” Rolling Thunder said as Lightning Dust opened the bag up as everyone took a peek inside the bag and saw a viper in there.

Everyone celebrated and congratulated Lightning Dust except Shark, who’s jealous of how Lightning Dust completed the mission, but not him.

“Way to go, Lightning!” Short Fuse exclaimed.

After celebrating for a minute, Lightning Dust told everyone, “C’mon. Let’s get outta here before anyone else see us.”

“Yeah, we’ll catch up. My friends and I are going to have a little chat with Rumble.” Shark said as he glared at Rumble.

“Okay, then. I’ll see you guys later.” Lightning Dust answered as she and her buddies head back to the Viper Kai dojo.

After the Washouts left, Rumble sheepishly asked, “Me? What’s there to talk about?”

“Oh, just this.” Shark and the Diamond Dogs started beating up Rumble until he groaned in pain.

“That’s what you get for disobeying an order. I’ll make sure to tell my uncle that you quit.” Shark explained as he and the Diamond Dogs laughed and walked off while Rumble was left laying on the ground, high and dry.

Meanwhile, after training the CPA Martial Arts Club, Shinigami came by and asked Karai, “Karai, what’s our next move now?”

Karai thought about it until she got an idea. She told Shini, “Kai had the right idea, two clans are stronger than one...”

Minutes later, Karai knocked on the door to Rarity’s house. Leo opened the door and saw Karai, along with Shini, Sugarcoat, Sour Sweet, Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest, and Sunny Flare.

Leo greeted them, “Hi, girls Come on in.”

Karai and her gang entered the house as the Shadowbolts and Shini went to join up with their fellow friends.

Leo asked Karai, “Karai, what's up?”

Karai answered, “Kai showed up and offered me and my clan to join him. I turned him down. But his offer did get me thinking, and I have an idea. That we join forces together to take down Viper Kai.”

Applejack nodded, “We have worked together before.”

Donnie added, “And two are stronger than one.”

“Very well, Karai. We accept your offer to join our clans together to stop to Viper Kai!” Leo smiled as he and Karai shook their hands.

“And I've got the perfect name! We'll call ourselves... the Equestria Ninjas!” Mikey cheered.

Later on, Lightning Dust carefully placed the viper inside Sensei Kai’s snake tank with her hand and she closed the roof after putting the viper in there. Lightning was proud of herself that she managed to hold a snake without giving into fear.

“Well done. I’m impressed. You showed fearlessness, leadership. And those are the qualities you need to be a champion.” Sensei Kai congratulated his students as they stood front and center on the mat. Then, he placed his hand on Lightning’s shoulder, “Good job, Lightning. You are the reason why you’re our champion... as well as my nephew throughout these past four years. Do you see what you can accomplish when you work together? Alliances are important. For us and our enemy. Because you better believe that they are making alliances too.”

Lightning Dust was confused and asked her teacher, “What alliances?”

“Oh, you didn’t hear? Uh, Leo and Karai, yeah, they’re working together. They make a pretty good team. And uh, where’s Rumble?”

Shark answered, “Rumble told me that he quit. So, we beat him up.”

“You know, I was going to rat him out, but I’m proud of you for doing that. Well, it’s getting late. Since you’ve worked so hard, why don’t we pay them for a visit.” Sensei Kai suggested.

Shark only looked down, uncertain. He sure didn't feel proud of himself.

Back to Rarity’s house, the doorbell rang.

“I'll get it!” Pinkie Pie alerted everyone.

Then, Lancer noticed Bright Eyes looking nervous, “You okay?”

Bright Eyes looked at their teachers as if she’s signaling them to say something.

Fluttershy nervously answered, “We kind of invited a few friends...”

Sweet Note asked, “Which kind of friends?”

They soon got their answer when Pinkie popped in, “They’re here!”

When walking in, much to the Young Ninjas' shock, the Viper Kai rejects walked in. Once they noticed the other team, they stopped in their tracks, some dropping party food and games.

Heath Burns commented, “What the?!”

Gallus asked, “You gotta be kidding me?!”

Teddy said, “Aw, heck no!”

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon replied in unison, “Uh-oh!”

“You!” Rumble who’s covered in bruises and pointed his finger at Lancer.

Lancer pointed his finger back at Rumble, “You!”

Patch commented with her hands on her head, “Oh, no!”

Flash was shocked that his sister was there, “Pauly?”

“Flash?” Pauly Sentry said.

Rumble asked them, “What are you guys doing here?”

“We could ask you the same thing, jerkwad!” Half-Note shot back.

Cold Forecast became confused and asked, “What's going on here?!”

“I bought this party hat for nothing!” Rumble said as he threw down his party hat.

“Wait?” Sandbar turned to the Turtles, Allies, and Rainbooms, “Did you guys plan this?”

Pinkie smiled, “We sure did!”

Mikey noted, “But it was Bright Eyes' idea.”

Young Ninjas shouted in unison, “What?!”

Lancer questioned Bright Eyes, “You all parent trapped us? Why?”

Bright Eyes sighed and explained, “Okay, I know some of us don't really like each other.”

“You got that right!” Rumble reminded them.

Bright Eyes continued, “But Viper Kai’s the real threat! To all of us.”

Smolder felt frustrated and reminded Bright Eyes, “Need I remind you that they're Viper Kai!”

Cold Forecast reminded Smolder, “For your information, we're all Viper Kai rejects!”

Diamond Tiara had an idea and informed them, “We stand a better chance at defeating him if we join forces!”

Babs added, “Yeah! Show him that we're not weak!”

“And to avenge Clarissa!” Silver Spoon said.

Leo calmed the two sides down and told them, “Two clans are stronger than one, even stronger with three.”

April explained, “Look, we know you've done some pretty bad things to each other--”

Teddy got in Heath Burns' face, “Like breaking Lancer's arm!”

“You guys started that fight!” Heath Burns argued.

Teddy shot back, “After you got me fired from my job!”

Logan added, “And after you guys stole the charity money plus beating me up as a bonus!”

Both sides continued arguing until Leo had enough and stood between them, “ENOUGH! It doesn't matter who started what!”

Sunset helped Leo and explained to them all, “Leo's right! The goal is to save the Arts and Music program at CHS. And Viper Kai is standing in our way! If we all work together, we have a chance to save the program. If we don't get past all the fighting then it's all over! This rivalry has to end. One way or another.”

Back to the Vietnam flashback, in which Kai, as a POW, was being forced by his captors to fight to the death against his compatriots on a platform above a pit.

Back to Rarity’s house, the former Viper Kai students, Shadowbolts, and the Hamato Clan were all gathered around in the living room.

Applejack questioned the former Viper Kai students, “So tell us the truth; Why did you really change sides all of the sudden?

Babs Seed answered her cousin, “We aren't gonna help Viper Kai beat you all up. That's not what I signed up for.”

“Then what did you sign up for?” Smolder asked.

Diamond Tiara answered, “We're not sure anymore.”

Silver Spoon added, Well whatever it was, it's nothing like what Kai wants.”

“He's completely losing it. It's like he actually wants to start a war with all of you. And he wants to win.” Heath Burns explained.

Karai commented, “Guess some things never change.”

Rarity asked, “What do you mean?”

Karai explained everyone about Kai’s backstory, “Kai was a soldier back in Vietnam. And let's just say it left its marks on him.”

“That’s an understatement.” Raph understood her.

Cold Forecast agreed, “Yeah, it's like his brain is still stuck in the war or something.”

Then, Bright Eyes stood up and walked front and center to tell them her plan.

“I don’t know how I’d say this any plainer. But the Shadowbolts and Wonderbolts have to work together against Viper Kai and his sensei.” Bright Eyes explained.

Patch said, “Even if we’d wanted to, it’ll never work. Their style mixes with ours like...”

“Oil and vinegar?” Logan asked.

Patch answered, “No, not salad dressing. I would say like the British Bulldogs and the Hart Foundation.”

“They were friends, genius.” Rumble told Patch.

Patch fired back, “Not at WrestleMania 3, jerkwad.”

“You know what, screw this. Come on, let’s go.” Rumble told Heath as they got up and everyone was upset. As Heath and Rumble were about to leave, Lancer stood up from his chair and confronted them, “Hey wusses!”

Heath and Rumble turned around as Lancer exclaimed, “This is exactly what these jerks at Viper Kai want. Since you were one of ‘em, you’re a jerk. And so are you, Heath.” He then turned to Pauly Sentry, Cold Forecast, Babs Seed, Diamond Tiara, and Silver Spoon, “Except for you girls, no offense.”

“None taken.” The five former Viper Kai girls answered.

Lancer resumed back to his speech, “So was I! Well, at least I wanted to be one. But now, Viper Kai has the worst collection of jerks in Canterlot, run by the king of all jerks! So if by merging with Crystal Prep and CHS, can keep us all from getting picked on anymore, then we’d all be jerks not to do it,” Then, Lancer apologized, “I’m sorry for all the ‘jerks’. I usually take pride in my grandiloquence, but... it’s an emotional time.”

Everyone in the room fully understood Lancer’s speech and the two former Viper Kai boys decided to go back to sitting on the couch with Patch, Teddy, and Logan Berrytown.

Lancer took a deep breath and asked Bright Eyes, “Now... when do we start?”

Bright Eyes smiled and got an idea.

Minutes later, Bright Eye’s plan was drawn out by the Turtles, Rainbooms, Allies, and the Shadowbolts on pieces of paper.

“So, we’re all in agreement that our new combined dojo should train at the Turtle Lair. But deadlocked on a new name, Gi Design, Post-Training Snacks, and Sensei Dispute Resolution Protocol. Okay, not good, but still, it’s a start.” Lancer explained as everyone understood the plan.

Then, Logan heard a cat meowing, “Aww, sounds like your cat wants to come in.” And he hurried out the door.

Sweetie Belle noticed that Opal was in Rarity’s arms, “But Opal's already inside?”

Rarity quickly answered, “I didn’t bring in another cat here, I swear.”

Suddenly, Logan was thrown through the window, startling everyone.

Turtles and Rainbooms shouted, “Logan!”

“Oh no!” Clover Bloom exclaimed.

Leo asked him, “What happened?”

Logan answered, “We got company...”

Then the back door was opened and Shark and his buddies stormed in with their ninja weapons. “Knock knock!” He said.

After that, the front door was kicked open and Lightning Dust came in along with the Diamond Dogs with their ninja weapons as well.

“I’m gonna go hide upstairs now.” Spike whispered as he and Opal went upstairs and took shelter.

With Bright Eyes having a bit of fear in her eyes, Lightning Dust told them, “Heard you were throwing a little get-together. Hope you don't mind if we crash!”

“You punks looking for trouble? Well, we can bring it to yah right here!” Raph shouted, but Rarity slapped him on the back of his head.

“Not in my house, you’re not!” Rarity yelled.

A voice said, “Your fights not with them, ninjas!” That voice came from Sensei Kai as he came in, “Your fight's with me! Oh! And I also invited some ex-military friends of mine!” With that, a group of men came in to help Sensei Kai.

“I warned you. I'm always a step ahead of you!” Sensei Kai looked to his students, “Now, students! Show them why Viper Kai is superior!”

Kai’s students answered, “Yes, sensei.”

Lightning Dust shouted, “No Mercy!”

The Turtles, Rainbooms, Shadowbolts, Wonderbolts and Allies defended and prepared themselves for a battle against Viper Kai inside Rarity’s house.

Raid

The brawl continued to rage on at Rarity’s house as the Hamato Clan and the Shadowbolts teamed up to take on Sensei Kai and his Viper Kai students.

In the living room, Thunderbass blocked Flash’s kick and punched him in the gut and in the face.

“You call that a kick? Come on!” Thunderbass shouted as Flash Sentry got up. Flash went for a roundhouse kick, but Thunderbass countered his attack and threw him on the couch with his upper back landing on the side table behind it.

Pauly rushed in after kicking Cherry off the side and checked on her brother, “Flash!”

“It’s okay. I’m alright.” Flash told her as Pauly pulled him up. “Let’s do this together, sis.”

“You’re right. We can’t fight each other anymore.” Pauly said as Flash nodded and they both fight against Thundebass and Cherry Crash.

Cut to the kitchen, Teddy battled Valhallen and hit him with a frying pan after grabbing it and dodging Valhallen’s attack. He shook off the pain a bit and called Teddy out, “Come on. Let’s go!” The two big boys resumed fighting with each other while in the dining room, Rarity fought against Suri while Applejack battled her rival, Strawberry Sunrise.

“Haven’t seen you awhile since the Friendship Games.” Rarity told her rival.

Suri replied, “Yeah, but I’m here to join on the winning side. Viper Kai’s where it’s at.”

“Then you have made an ungrateful decision.” Rarity rebuffed.

“Is that a fact? Well let’s see how you handle this.” Suri said as she pulled out her sais and attacked her, but Rarity countered it with her ninja weapons.

Cut to the two rivals of fruits, Applejack told Strawberry, “Ah’m here to tell you that apples are better.”

“No, Strawberries are much better and sweeter.” Strawberry Sunrise replied, making the cowgirl much more furious.

“Oh, you wanna bet? Let’s settle this once and for all!” Applejack shouted as Strawberry replied, “For once, I agree!” The two farmer girls battled it out with their ninja weapons.

As for Pinkie and Mikey, they double-teamed Crimson Napalm and leg swept him. However, Crimson got up, but Mikey threw some sticky fluids on him and Pinkie shot him with feathers from her party cannon. Crimson spit out some feathers from his mouth as Mikey and Pinkie laughed.

Mikey said, “Ha! You look like a chicken.”

“I’ll make you pay for that!” Crimson Napalm growled as he charged right at them, but Pinkie and Mikey jump kicked him right in the face and knocked down Crimson.

“No silly, if you want it, you have to pay for it.” Pinkie commented.

As for Logan, he fought against Ginger Owlseye and Shark, but Shark kicked him right in the face two times. After that, Logan fought back with his punch and kick, but Ginger and Shark dodged them and called him out, “Is that all you got, little man?” Logan threw a punch, but the two Viper Kai students missed Logan’s attack again and Ginger hit him with a little vase on the face.

“Yeah, eat that stuff! Get up!” Ginger shouted as Sweetie Belle saw what he did.

“Hey! You’re gonna pay for that vase!” Sweetie Belle yelled as she ran towards Ginger and fought him off.

Then, Rumble attacked Shark and told him, “This is payback from yesterday!”

As Shark was about to punch Rumble, he was interrupted by Rover and he helped Shark beat Rumble up.

“Oh yeah, now that’s what’s up!” Rover said as he fist bumped Shark.

However, Shark started to suffer a crisis of conscience. He looked around and watched his former friends getting beat up by the bullies who once made his life a misery. Then, Shark started hearing thoughts in his head.

“I told you, only the strong will survive.”

“Those are your uncle’s words! He’s got in your head, Swift!”

“Never underestimate your enemy.”

“You trained in martial arts to stand up to bullies! Not become one!”

“The enemy of your enemy is your friend.”

After hearing words from his uncle and Babs Seed, Shark saw the Diamond Dogs holding Lancer in an arm hold and saw a brief flashback of when he broke his arm.

https://youtu.be/yC8b6n6qVVI

“Hey yo Shark, free shot!” Rover said as he held Lancer in the arm while Fido and Spot watched.

Shark stared daggers at them and made his choice. In slow motion, he proceeded to run towards them and then suddenly, Shark kicked the Diamond Dogs off of him. After saving Lancer, Shark turned around and Lancer pointed his weapons at Shark. He told him, “Stay back, Viper scum!”

Patch and the others rush to his side, “Stay away from Lancer or that mark on your lip won't be your only scar!”

“Lancer, I..., I'm sorry...” Shark apologized.

Lancer scoffed, “Yeah right!”

April said, “Guys, he's telling the truth.”

“I’m sorry. For all of it,” Lancer and his friends paused for a moment and they were not sure if he’s telling the truth until Shark said, “Do you want help me win this thing?”

Lancer walked up to him with an icy, cold stare and stood face-to-face with his Shark as he put his weapons down. After that, Lancer smiled and accepted his apology, “Yeah.”

Shark and Lancer reconciled and the two reunited best friends along with their friends worked together to fend off against several Viper Kai’s.

Meanwhile, Bright Eyes ran outside to the front porch, but Lightning Dust ambushed her outside and kicked her down to the ground. Lightning Dust held her up by her arm, ready to punch her, “I gotta be honest, Four Eyes. I thought you’d put up more of a fight. But you’re still a spineless coward! So, any last words before I punch your lights out?!”

Bright Eyes shut her eyes, when she remembered what Leo said, “Only you can conquer your fear, no one else.”

Then, a voice called her out, “Bright Eyes!” The girl opened her eyes to see the spirit of Master Splinter standing off to the side. “Fear nothing!” He said.

Bright Eyes glared and answered, “Just this...” Then, she kicked Lightning Dust in chest, making her let go, back-flipped over her and picked up her nunchucks, swinging them around. “The name’s Bright Eyes! You wanted a rematch, now you got it! Second Best!”

Lightning Dust growled and picked up her bo staff, “I'll break you!”

Bright Eyes fought her and defeated her like Mikey defeated Jagwar in a grudge match. As Lightning Dust lifted her head, Bright Eyes aimed the blade of her chucks at her, “I'm not afraid of you anymore!”

She let go of her and began to walk away, but Lightning Dust got up and was about to attack her when Lancer came out of nowhere and kicked her in the gut with a flying kick.

Lancer told her right in her face, “Never mess with the Hamato Clan!”

“By the way, thanks for the motivation.” Bright Eyes told Lightning Dust as she and Lancer hugged.

Back to the Vietnam flashback, the captor chose the captain and one of Kai’s comrades to battle, but he was scared. So, Kai stepped in and took his friend’s place. Kai and his captain exited out of the cage with their captors watching them and they headed towards the pit.

“I’ll go.” Kai told the captors.

The captain laughed, “Well, I’m sorry it has to end for you like this, Kai. But only one of us is coming back and I got something to live for.”

“So do I.” Kai said.

“No. No, I don’t think you do. That girlfriend of yours back home. Well, she’s dead.” Kai’s captain broke the news to him.

Kai didn’t believe in him, “No. You’re a liar.”

“No. Letter came just as we got orders for this mission. She wrapped her car around a tree, driving to visit her grandmother in Pasadena. Ain’t that a beauty?” Kai’s captain laughed as he stopped.

“No...” Kai was shocked and took a knee to get the news processed in his head.

“And I kept it under wraps. I didn’t want you to lose focus. Needed you at best.” Kai’s captain told him.

The Vietnamese soldier pulled him up, but Kai got up without his captor’s help and said, “Hey!”

Kai’s captain resumed walking towards the pit, “So much for that idea.”

As Kai’s captain entered the pit and looked below, he laughed and looked at Kai, “Well, look on the bright side, Kai. It’ll be all over soon.”

A devastated Kai entered the pit after his captain’s taunts and when he looked what below’s them, it was revealed that the pit over which the Americans are fighting was full of snakes. After looking down, Kai regained his focus and stood face-to-face with his captain. The battle for survival begins. They got into their fighting stance as the Vietnamese captain counted down, “One, two, three. Go!”

Back to present-day, Karai and Kai clashed with their ninja swords and they were at a stalemate.

“What’s the matter Karai? Have you forgotten what your father taught you?” Kai questioned Karai until she kicked him right on the chest.

Karai told him, “The Shredder’s dead. He took everything away from me! He took away my life! And he even took away my real father! I won’t let Hamato Yoshi’s teachings die in vain!”

“Yeah, keep your snakes away from us!” Leo shouted as he was continuing to focus on battling one of Kai’s ex-military goons while Raph and Donnie take on Big Boy and Runt.

Kai understood her as she transformed into a mutant snake and said, “It’s hard to believe you and your friends defeated Oroku, the person that took care of you during your childhood. But now, you’re nothing more than a big disappointment.”

Karai growled as she attacked Kai and they continued battling in the backyard. Kai kicked Karai in the face and told her, “Once we defeat you and your dojo. We won't just dominate the tournament, we’ll melt this whole snowflake generation.”

The two continued to a big fight, as flashbacks of Kai battling the captain in Vietnam are interspersed. Karai and Kai battled and both fight for the upper hand. Kai sometimes has the upper hand, but Karai had it for most of the fight. Eventually Kai kicks Karai in the stomach and sent him against the wall of Rarity’s house.

“Is that all you got?” The mutant snake, Karai, hissed.

In the flashback, Kai beat up his captain, while in the present day, he attacked Karai from behind with the handle of his sword and knocked her down.

The timelines continued to intersperse. As U.S. forces raided the camp, Kai’s captain was seen dangling precariously over the snake pit. Just then the U.S. forces arrive, causing the Vietnamese soldiers to flee and the American prisoners celebrated.

As the captain was dangling over the snake pit, he told Kai, “It’s over, Kai! Pull me up, Kai, pull me up! That’s an order!”

Kai looked down on him and said, “You’re right, Captain. I didn’t follow your lessons.”

The captain demanded Kai, “Come on. What are you waiting for?”

“I won’t make that same mistake again,” Kai told his captain.

“Kai!” The captain yelled.

Kai decided to embrace his captain’s mantra instead and said, “No mercy.”

And so, Kai sent his captain plummeting into the snake pit.

Meanwhile in the present-day, Kai locked Karai in a chokehold and told her, “This isn’t how I wanted this to end.”

As Karai was about to pass out, Leo showed up suddenly and saved Karai from Kai’s deadly chokehold.

“Enough. You fight with me now.” Leo demanded.

Kai took deep breaths and answered, “Alright then.”

The two combatants got into their fighting stance with their swords and they finally clashed once more. As the two combatants engaged in swordplay, Kai told Leo, “You can’t keep up this ‘defense only’ tactic forever.”

“Good thing I don’t have to.” Leo answered as he kicked Kai and knocked his swords away.

And then, when Leo was about to slash Kai with his katanas, Kai dodged them and swept him off his feet to knock off Leo’s as well. Leo got up as he dodged Kai’s stomp and they both continued fighting each other with their fists. Leo and Kai countered each other’s moves until Kai kicked him, getting the upper hand and hit him with his flying spin kick to Leo’s head. Leo fell down and as Kai picked up Leo’s katana, he told him, “It’s time for you and your sensei to reunite!”

As Kai was about to finish Leo off, Karai while still in her mutant snake form suddenly tackled Kai and she was about to kill him.

“Karai, no!” Bright Eyes shouted as everyone looked to see all the students rush in.

Kai looked in disbelief, “What?! How are you all still standing?!”

“Guess we're not as weak as you thought!” Heath Burns told his former sensei.

Sour Sweet begged Karai, “Karai, don't do it!”

“This isn't the way to stop him!” Indigo Zap said.

Karai looked back at Kai. Then she changed back into human form and turned away from him.

“Oh, Karai...” Kai chuckled, “So predictable!” He whipped out a switch blade and was about to strike, when Karai suddenly swung around, kicking the weapon out of his hand, double fisted him in the gut, and knocked him away with a kick to the chest.

Karai told him, “You know, it's so ironic. You teach your students not to underestimate their enemies, when you do exactly that. You think, that just because these kids have lost some fights, because they’e small, or because they show mercy that they’re weak! Well, if tonight has proven anything, is that your wrong! Only heartless monsters show no mercy!” Then she grabbed Kai by his chin and warned him, “And with that being said, let me make Leo's warning perfectly clear! Keep, your Viper Kais, away from our friends!”

Kai stood up after almost getting killed by his former ally and told Karai, “It’s a free country.”

“Not for you. Viper Kai’s gotta go. For good.” Leo answered as Karai nodded to him.

However, Kai proposed Leo and Karai, “Why don’t we settle this the old-fashioned way? Tournament. If we lose, I go. If you lose...”

“We won’t lose.” Karai told him as their students went to join in and stood alongside their co-senseis with Shark standing aside between the two sides.

The Viper Kai students stood alongside Sensei Kai as well after being battered and bruised.

Kai shouted, “Students! From now on, we’ll leave our enemies alone until the tournament. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes sensei.” The Viper Kai students answered.

Sensei Kai looked at his nephew and ordered him, “Let’s go, Shark!”

However, Shark answered, “No!”

“Excuse me, nephew?” Kai questioned him.

“You heard me! And my name’s not Shark! It’s Swift Wing! And I’m done being a bully!”

Then, he proceeded to take off his Viper Kai hoodie and threw it at his feet. Sensei Kai was not pleased that his nephew made his decision to leave Viper Kai.

“If that’s your decision, fine. You are dead to me anyway.” Sensei Kai told him as he and his students left the house.

Lightning Dust also told him, “You better watch your back, you traitor!”

“Wrong! He's a friend.” Lancer got his back and told Lightning Dust as she went back to join her Viper Kai friends.

Finally, the battle was over, but the war was not over yet. So, they decided to clean up as Sunset used her journal to write a message to Princess Twilight Sparkle to help them fix Rarity’s house.

In the final Vietnam flashback, Kai unlocked the door to the prison cell and informed his comrades, “Come on, guys. We’re outta here.”

The American prisoners ran freely and celebrated, but then, Kai’s best friend told him, “Thank you, Kai. I owe you, man. If you need anything, I’ll be there.”

Kai smiled and hugged him, “You’re welcome, Dudley.”

After their embrace, the two went back to join his military comrades to be rescued by the U.S. forces.

The next morning, the students of CPA Martial Arts Club, CHS Martial Arts Club, and Shark assembled, ready for training, as the Turtles, Rainbooms, and Karai both bow to their students and each other while April, Karai, and Keno watched.

“You ready?” Leo asked.

Karai ordered, “Let’s begin!”

And so, for the next two weeks, the students of two dojos from CHS and CPA trained together for the upcoming martial arts tournament. Rarity, April, and Donnie were holding pillows to help Smolder, Sweetie Belle, and Patch with their kicks. As for Raph, Rainbow Dash, and Casey, they used a stick with a boxing glove on the end to help Scootaloo, Logan, and Gallus with their sense of blocking attacks. Applejack, Fluttershy, and Keno were helping Yona, Apple Bloom, and Shark to practice their endurance as they stomped and jumped on the mud in Applejack’s barn while it’s raining outside. Flash, Pauly, Sandbar, Teddy, and Rumble were doing push-ups while Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Half Note, and Ocellus were doing pull-ups. Mikey, Shini, and Pinkie Pie were sparring with Lancer, Silversteam, and Clover Bloom while Bright Eyes, Heath Burns, Half Note, Melody, and the rest of the students were running their laps around the neighborhood with Princess Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Spike, Leo and Karai watching them. In the beach, Bright Eyes was learning a new technique alone as she was standing with one leg.

After two weeks of training, the martial arts tournament was set in CHS and the crowd was cheering on and waving their flags for different teams like CPA, CHS, Viper Kai, Hollow Shades, and unnamed schools/dojos that we don’t know about. Every participant wore their gi to represent their respective dojos. Viper Kai students wore green and black gi, Hollow Shades Martial Arts Club, wore their lime green gi, CPA Martial Arts Club wore their crimson and purple gi, and the CHS Martial Arts Club wore their blue and yellow gi. The Turtles were disguised as humans and watched the tournament with the Rainbooms, and their allies with their students by their side.

“Let the tournament begin!” Principal Celestia announced as the crowd cheered.

Principal Celestia went to sit on the bleachers with her sister and Cadence.

Bright Eyes walked around and watched Lightning Dust beat her opponent with a rough, roundhouse kick to the face. After Lightning Dust finished her match, she walked off the mat and glared at Bright Eyes while the rest of the Viper Kai students and their sensei congratulated her.

The staff member told Leo that his student was next to compete. He nodded and told Bright Eyes, “Okay Bright Eyes, you’re next.”

Bright Eyes nodded and glanced at Leo who was reading the tournament rulebook, “I’ve already read the rulebook. I know what to do.”

“You do?” Leo asked.

Bright Eyes answered, “Yeah. It’s simple. I hit them and I don’t let them hit me. Two points to advance in the preliminaries.”

Leo complimented, “Hmm, nice job. You are indeed a fast learner.”

“Wish me luck, sensei.” Bright Eyes nodded as she and her opponent entered the mat. Her opponent’s name was Piper Panflute and she’s representing Hollow Shades. She’s a bit tall, pale blue skin, and had short, purple hair with teal streaks.

They both bowed to each other and the referee asked with red and white flags up in his hands, “Ready?”

Both competitors got into their fighting stance and the referee shouted, “Fight!” They walked slowly around like a circle, waiting for either one to strike first. Then, they both fight until her opponent put her hands on Bright Eye’s shoulders and Bright Eyes knocked them off and pushed her opponent to the ground.

“Point!” The referee said.

Bright Eyes’s friends cheered as Leo helped her opponent up.

“Good job. Next time, no face.” Leo informed her.

Bright Eyes apologized, “Sorry. I couldn’t help it.”

“It’s okay. Just go.” Leo answered.

Both competitors got back into their fighting stance and the referee signaled them, “Fight!”

The two girls waited for either one to strike until Bright Eye’s opponent jumped up to attacked her, but Bright Eyes hit her with a front side kick to the back. Her opponent fell down in defeat and Bright Eyes won her first match of the first round. Bright Eyes celebrated and went to join her friends as they congratulated her while Leo nodded.

From then on, some of the competitors from their respective dojos advanced from the first round. On to the second round.

Rolling Thunder defeated Lightning Blue with a dropkick in the first bout. After that, Rolling Thunder used a hurricarana and put her opponent in a submission hold and tapped him out.

Next up, the match between Rover and his opponent, Frosty Orange. They both bowed as Rover continue to glare. As the referee signaled them to go, Rover kneed her in the face while she wasn’t looking and swept her off her feet to earn a point in first bout. In the second bout, Rover kicked her down to pick up the win.

Next match, Lancer vs. Thunderbass. Rumble countered Thunderbass’s attacks until Lancer grabbed his leg and threw him down on the mat to pick up the point in the first bout. After that, he put Thunderbass in an armbar that Swift once used on him and forced Thunderbass to tap out in the second bout to advance. His friends cheered him on after seeing Lancer win.

Swift Wing (formerly known as Shark) squared off against his adversary, Fido. The two competitors countered and dodged their attacks until Swift used the judo throw on Fido and took him down in the first bout to pick up the win. In the second bout, Swift kicked Fido in the face and then jump kicked him in the face again to pick up the victory.

After that, it was Bright Eye’s turn again and she went up against Amaranth Gray. They both countered each other’s moves until she kicked him down to pick up the win. She won again after using the judo throw on Amaranth and Bright Eyes advanced to the third round.

Sensei Kai started to feel worry that his enemies might catch up to his students. Second round was over and the third round commenced.

Lighting Dust was up again and entered the mat to face a nerd with orange hair named Duey Decimal from Hollow Shades. In the first bout, Lightning gave her opponent a wicked, spinning roundhouse kick to the face. Plus, her opponent was knocked out after that. The referee went to check on him and signaled the “X” with his arms. Therefore, Lightning Dust automatically advanced to the semifinals. Bright Eyes and her friends were not impressed with her performance after witnessing that move.

Rolling Thunder swept Lancer off his feet and punched him in the face. In the second bout, Rolling Thunder roundhouse kicked Lancer to the face to pick up the win. Thus, Rolling Thunder advanced to the semifinals.

Then, Swift Wing went up against Rover and he dodged Swift’s leg sweep, but he didn’t dodge Swift’s spinning roundhouse kick after that. Rover’s nose was busted and Swift automatically advanced to the semifinals.

After that match, Bright Eyes squared off against Short Fuse and bowed. They both got into their fighting stance and the referee signaled, “Fight!”

Short Fuse was like a house of fire as he used his arms to attack, but Bright Eyes repeated dodged them and blocked his attack. He broke through her defense and hit Bright Eyes on the rib, but it also made her to step out of bounds and Short Fuse picked up the win in the first bout. Second bout, Bright Eyes countered Short Fuse’s fast punches until Bright Eyes kicked him on the chest to score a point. After that, Bright Eyes performed a sweet spinning right kick to the face of Short Fuse and picked up the win, advancing Bright Eyes to the semifinals. Leo and the CHS Martial Arts Club applauded her and the crowd cheered.

“The preliminary rounds are over. The semifinals will commence shortly.” The announcer said.

Sensei Kai and Lightning Dust were not happy that their enemies had advanced to the semifinals.

The staff members began to put together a huge platform on the center of the court, along with setting up two short stairs on each side of the platform and some chairs around the platform for the crowd and photographers to get a closer view for the semifinal and final round matches.

“You did great, you two.” Karai congratulated Bright Eyes and Swift Wing.

“Thanks Karai. Sorry that you guys didn’t make it.” Swift Wing told his friends of the CHS and CPA Martial Arts Club.

Karai replied, “It’s alright, but my students did their best.”

“And mine too.” Leo added.

“Hey Swift, if we both make it to the finals, may the best fighter win.” Bright Eyes offered as he looked at him.

Swift nodded, “I look forward to that.”

The two friends shook hands after that.

Minutes later, the announcer of the tournament announced, “Alright folks. It is now time for the semifinal matches of this year’s martial arts tournament. In the first round, it will be Swift Wing who was a former member of the Viper Kai dojo and now represents The Wondercolt Martial Arts Club taking on Viper Kai’s Lightning Dust!”

The two combatants entered on the center of the battlefield as the crowd cheered. The two former comrades locked eyes onto each other and bowed. They both get into their fighting stance as they waited for the referee to start the match.

In the bleachers, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Blade Swipe, April, Casey, Keno, Shini, Principal Cadence, Celestia, and Luna watched on and observed the match.

The referee shouted, “Ready? Fight!”

Fight’s on as Swift Wing went for a flying front kick, but Lightning dodged it and they both started countering each other’s attacks. Lightning Dust ducked Swift’s high kicks and rolled over his sweep kicks as well. Swift caught up to her and he went for a left roundhouse kick, but Lightning timed his attack and hit him with a front kick to the chest, making Swift fell onto the mat. Swift’s comrades and senseis cringed and Lightning charged right at Swift who was already down, but the referee moved Swift out of the way and Lightning missed her opportunity to strike. The referee held Lightning back to protect Swift and she stepped back as Kai continued to observe the match. Swift got up as the referee gave Lightning the win in the first bout.

“Point! Lightning Dust.” The ref announced.

As Leo, Sunset, and their students looked on, one of the staff members told them that Bright Eyes was next. Leo and Sunset accompanied Bright Eyes to move as the referee signaled the combatants to fight again.

“You’re getting real slow, Swift. That’s what happens you leave Viper Kai.” Lightning reminded Swift.

Swift ignored Lightning’s comment and told her, “Just shut up and fight.”

The two combatants got into their fighting stance and the referee shouted, “Fight!”

Swift Wing and Lightning Dust went at it again and countered each other’s attacks until Swift flipped over as she grabbed Lightning’s arm and put him in a submission hold. As Swift turned Lightning’s body slowly up, he tapped out. Lightning continued to torture Swift in her submission hold until the ref broke it up and moved her aside to let Swift catch his breath.

“Point! Swift Wing.” The ref announced.

“Who’s slow now, Lightning?” Swift taunted Lightning as she got up.

Lightning fired back, “I’ll make you eat those words.”

The referee allowed them to fight again and the two combatants countered each other’s moves until Lightning swept Swift off his feet and hit him with an elbow drop to the chest, resulting Lightning Dust to pick up the victory and move on to the finals.

“Point! Lightning Dust.” The ref announced.

The Viper Kai students celebrated as the referee raised Lightning’s arm up. Leo and Bright Eyes looked at the TV monitor, showing that Lightning’s moving on to the finals. Bright Eyes felt nervous as if this will be her toughest challenge if her dojo wants to win the cash prize.

“Up next in the semifinals, representing Viper Kai, Rolling Thunder!” The ring announcer said as Rolling Thunder head onto the platform as her teammates cheered. “And representing CHS, Bright Eyes!” The ring announcer announced as Bright Eyes stood up from her seat.

“Empty your mind. Focus.” Leo reminded Bright Eyes as she nodded and went up on the center of the platform.

“C’mon Bright Eyes! You got this! WOO!” Princess Twilight cheered along with the crowd.

Bright Eyes and Rolling Thunder bowed and got into their fighting stance. The referee stood between them and said, “Ready? And fight!”

Both combatants walked sideways and waited for either one to anticipate their moves. Then, Rolling Thunder started kicking, but Bright Eyes dodged and blocked them until she swept Rolling Thunder off her feet and punched her on the stomach.

“Point! Bright Eyes.” The ref announced.

“Yes!” Princess Twilight cheered with excitement from the audience while Leo nodded, “Good job.”

Rolling Thunder got up and as she and Bright Eyes got back into starting position.

“Ready? Fight!” The referee shouted.

Rolling Thunder struck again with her kicks, but Bright Eyes dodged and moved out of the way. Her opponent turned around and Rolling Thunder continued kicking at her, but Bright Eyes blocked and proceeded to throw a punch. Rolling Thunder dodged it, but Bright Eyes roundhouse kicked her in the face as a surprise attack.

“Stop. Point. Bright Eyes.” The referee announced.

“Yeah! There you go, Bright Eyes!” Princess Twilight cheered.

Blade Swipe nodded, “That was pretty impressive.”

Rolling Thunder got up and warned Bright Eyes, “That was a lucky point, but it’s going to be your last.”

“Why? Leaving early to fix that stupid haircut of yours.” Bright Eyes shot back as she walked back to her fighting position and smirked, but Rolling Thunder moved the ref out of the way and proceeded to grab Bright Eyes’s leg and attacked her knee. Rolling Thunder put Bright Eyes on the floor of the mat and continued to attack her on the knee repeatedly with her vicious elbows until the referee stopped Rolling Thunder from doing further harm to Bright Eyes.

Princess Twilight, Leo, Celestia, Luna, Cadence and the rest of Bright Eyes’ friends were shocked that they witnessed pure brutality from Viper Kai. Not only that, some of the Viper Kai students were shocked too. Leo, Princess Twilight, and her friends went to aid Bright Eyes while the referee told Rolling Thunder, “Illegal contact. You’re disqualified!”

Rolling Thunder was angry and upset. She replied, “What? That’s ridiculous!”

Leo turned and glanced at Sensei Kai who was smiling and chuckling at Rolling Thunder’s assault on Bright Eyes. The crowd started booing at Rolling Thunder and she started to feel upset about what she had done to Bright Eyes. Sensei Kai was satisfied and told Rolling Thunder as she went off the mat, “Good job. Now that’s what Viper Kai’s all about.”

“Yeah, if you say so.” Rolling Thunder said in an upset tone and looked away as she went back to join her comrades.

Leo and Princess Twilight observed Kai and both were conflicted by Kai’s teachings. They turned their attention back at Bright Eyes who’s still agonizing in pain after that.

“With that disqualification. Bright Eyes earns a trip to the finals. We’ll see you back here after a short break.” The ring announcer announced.

Bright Eyes laid on an exam bed while Leo watched and Nurse Redheart examined Bright Eyes’a injured knee. After a few minutes of examination, Bright Eyes asked Nurse Redheart, “Is my knee pretty bad?”

“Unfortunately, yes. But you did great out there. You’ve brought honor to your family.” Nurse Redheart answered and Bright Eyes understood.

As Nurse Redheart left her office, Donnie, Sunset, Karai, and the rest of Bright Eyes’s friends entered the nurse’s office to check on Bright Eyes.

“You okay, Bright Eyes?” Blade Swipe asked.

Bright Eyes answered, “Yeah, I’m okay.”

Then, Bright Eyes and her friends started hearing an announcement from the ring announcer with Sensei Kai and Lightning Dust standing on the middle of the mat.

“Bright Eyes has 2 minutes to return to the match. If she’s unable to return, the Viper Kai Dojo wins by default.”

Princess Twilight, Raph, Karai, and the rest of their friends and students reacted simultaneously, “WHAT?!”

“They can’t be serious with this. We gotta do something quick.” Raph suggested.

“I’ll sub in for Bright Eyes.” Lancer suggested.

Everyone argued of who’s replacing Bright Eyes until she had enough and said, “Enough! Can you all give me and Leo a second?”

“Okay. We’ll leave you be. C’mon guys, let’s go.” Sunset ordered as she and her friends went back to the gym (where the tournament’s held) except Leo and Princess Twilight.

After they left, Bright Eyes took a deep breath and asked her teachers, “Do you think I could have won?”

“Win or lose doesn’t matter, Bright Eyes.” Princess Twilight answered.

Bright Eyes shook her head, “You know that’s not what I meant.”

Her teachers thought about it until Leo answered, “Yes, I think you had a good chance.”

“So, do your healing technique or whatever it is that you do.” Bright Eyes suggested, feeling the urge to get back up.

Leo informed her, “You don’t need to fight anymore. You have proven everything you need to prove.”

Bright Eyes sighed and told Leo, “What, that I can get beat up easily, and then quit? That’s not balance, that’s not real Kung-Fu. Princess Twilight told me, that when life knocks me down, I could choose whether or not to get back up. Well, I’m trying to get back up. So why won’t you help me?”

“Because... we cannot watch you get hurt anymore.” Leo answered with a slight of regret.

Bright Eyes begged him, “Please, Leo. Please.”

“Just tell me, Bright Eyes. Why? Why do you need to go back out there so badly?” Leo questioned, feeling worried that his student might get hurt again.

Bright Eyes took a deep breath and answered, “Because I’m still scared. Deep down, I’m scared of losing to Lightning and I’m also angry because I want Lightning to pay for everything that she and the Viper Kai dojo caused throughout these past weeks. I’m sick and tired of it.”

Princess Twilight understood what Bright Eyes said. She told her pupil, “I understand what you meant. Your rival, Lightning Dust is not some villain that wants to take over the world. She’s just a girl with a lot of demons. Celestia always told me that there’s no such thing as a bad student. Only a bad teacher.”

Leo joined in and added, “Master Splinter taught me and my brothers about that lesson too. Swift had the worst teacher there ever was, his uncle. It sent him down to the wrong path, but you’ll don’t have to go down to that path. You don’t have to become ‘him’. Trust me, you let go all of that anger and fear, and we’ll guarantee you that no matter what happens tonight, you’re gonna go home feeling great.”

“You’re right. No matter what happens tonight, when I leave, I want to prove to everyone that I’m not scared anymore.” Bright Eyes nodded and hoped that her teachers understood that she wants to finish the fight.

So, Leo and Princess Twilight performed the healing technique to heal Bright Eyes’s injury while the ring announcer had started making his announcement.

Back to the tournament, the ring announcer announced with the trophy in his arm, “Due to her injury, Bright Eyes cannot return to the ring...”

Princess Twilight and Leo rushed in towards the judge panel. Leo told them, “Wait, Bright Eyes will fight.”

The judges nodded and one of them spoke up, “Hold on.”

“Therefore, the champion goes to V...” The ring announcer stopped and head towards the judge panel while everyone became confused and murmured.

“Bright Eyes will go on with the match.” One of the judges whispered to the ring announcer’s ear and the ring announcer nodded.

While everyone was waiting, the ring announcer went back to the ring and he announced, “Bright Eyes will go on with the match!”

The crowd erupted with cheers and the Viper Kai dojo was shocked with the announcement and Bright Eyes entered the gym. Everyone in the crowd and the dojos except Viper Kai clapped for Bright Eyes as she made her way to the ring. Sensei Kai walked down and pretended to smile as he was clapping at Leo, Princess Twilight, and their friends, but they were not pleased at all to see him.

“I gotta admit, your student got some guts,” Sensei Kai shot down his smile and frowned to warn them with a whisper, “But she’ll never last long against my best student. And my dojo will melt this whole snowflake generation when we win.”

Sensei Kai walked away while Leo and his friends glared at him.

Bright Eyes entered the ring and Lightning Dust glared at her. “We were gonna win if you hadn’t show up.”

“Too bad. You want your trophy? You have to get through me first. I’m not afraid of you anymore!” Bright Eyes reminded her.

“We’ll see about that.” Lightning Dust replied.

The stage was set as the crowd cheered for the two competitors standing in the center of the mat as they bowed to each other and got into their fighting stance.

The referee asked, “Ready?”

The two rivals stared at each other and waited for either of them to strike. It’s a heated rivalry between two girls and only one will close the book of their rivalry and walk away with the win for the cash prize and trophy.

FIGHT!

Final Round

View Online

The referee asked, “Ready?”

The two rivals were laser-focused at each other and waited for either of them to strike.

“Fight!”

Both girls continued to stand in their fighting stance and wait until one of them strike. Lightning Dust approached forward, but she didn’t attack and let Bright Eyes stepped back. They continued to stare down until Lightning kicked, but Bright Eyes blocked and followed it up with a right punch. However, Lightning countered it and hit Bright Eyes with a kick to her chest, but she didn’t fall and stepped back to gain balance and her friends were looking a bit nervous on the outside. Bright Eyes moved away from Lightning while in her fighting stance until Lightning charged towards her with a flying front kick, but Bright Eyes dodged her attack and threw a right again, but Lightning Dust blocked it and performed a roundhouse kick, but she did a kip-up to dodged Lightning’s kick. After that, both girls went at it and countered each other’s moves until Bright Eyes pushed Lightning with force, but Lightning didn’t fall down. Lightning got back into her fighting stance and ran towards her opponent, but Bright Eyes did the same and she slid down to dodge Lightning’s incoming attack. Bright Eyes got up and turned around, only for Lightning to performing a flying kick on Bright Eyes, sending her straight off the ring. Luckily, Lancer and Shark caught her from taking the fall while Leo and Princess Twilight sighed in relief.

“Are you okay?” Lancer asked.

Bright Eyes answered as she got off from her friends, “Yeah. I’m fine.”

Sensei Kai observed Bright Eyes and looked at the scoreboard on the TV monitor. Lightning Dust scored one point, making it 1-0.

Bright Eyes got up on the ring and went back to her starting position with Lightning Dust on the opposite side. They got back into their fighting stance and the referee shouted, “Fight!”

Lightning Dust started off with a fierce punch, but Bright Eyes reflected her attack and Lightning kept on attacking her. But Bright Eyes continued blocking her attacks until she knelt down and spun at the same time. Lightning stepped back and spun too, but Bright Eyes swept Lightning off her feet and fell down on the ground of the ring. Following that move, Bright Eyes got up and stopped Lightning from getting up and punched Lightning on the face. Sensei Kai was surprised that Bright Eye’s starting to catch up to his best student. Bright Eyes got up and moved back while her friends and the rest of the crowd cheered for her. The TV monitor shown the scoreboard with Bright Eyes earned a point, resulting in a tie with 1-1.

Meanwhile in the crowd, Casey suggested, “Bright Eyes should end the match with this round. Right?”

“Nope. It’s not over yet. One of them has to score three points to win.” April answered.

Casey nodded, “Ah, gotcha.”

Sensei Kai continued observing the match as Lightning Dust got up and went back to starting position with her opponent. The competitors went back to their fighting stance as The Rainbooms and the Turtles looked on.

“Fight!” The referee shouted as both competitors resumed fighting each other again.

Both girls countered each other’s attacks until Bright Eyes kicked Lightning, but Lightning performed a back handspring to recover until Bright Eyes charged right at Lightning and performed a frankensteiner on her and punched her in the face after that. Bright Eyes got up and stepped back to let Lightning recover while Sensei Kai was unhappy and grew desperate to find a way to eliminate Bright Eyes.

Back to the TV monitor, the score was shown 2-1 with Bright Eyes taking the lead.

After Bright Eyes scored a second point, Lightning Dust became angrier than ever, “I am not losing to a pipsqueak like you!”

“That’s what happens when you underestimate the little ones. They catch you off guard!”

Lightning Dust growled as she glanced at Sensei Kai, who nodded, telling her to show no mercy. Grinning wickedly, Lightning Dust nodded and faced Bright Eyes again. Lightning threw two punches and Bright Eyes blocked them. Then Lightning threw two more and Bright Eyes again blocked, but Lightning Dust swung a spin kick and hit her knee.

Bright Eyes screamed in pain, “Aarghh!”

“No Mercy!” Lightning Dust shouted.

She kneed Bright Eyes in the gut, punched her left and right, and knocked her back with a palm strike. Bright Eyes looked up just as Lightning spun in the air and nailed her to the mat with a hard kick. Then Lightning Dust threw down her fist and struck Bright Eyes across her face, cracking her glasses and giving her a black eye! The Ninjas gasped as the girl laid there, groaning in pain.

Sensei Kai gave the ninjas a smug grin, “I told you, only the strong will survive!”

Back to the match, the referee said, “Point: Lightning Dust! The score is tied. The one who get's the next point wins!” Then he saw Bright Eyes who was in much pain, “Can you continue?”

Lightning Dust looked at her and taunted, “What’s the matter, Four Eyes, still too much of a coward?!”

Bright Eyes tried to get up, but winced as her side hurt, as well as her face.

Lightning Dust laughed, “Is that the best you got?”

Bright Eyes tried to get up again and managed to get to her hands and knees, but fell back down.

“Pathetic! Just give up, Bright Eyes! You can’t win!” Lightning Dust taunted again.

Leo said in his mind, “Come on, Bright Eyes! Don’t let the fear win!”

Princess Twilight added in her mind, “Do not lose focus, my student.”

“C’mon, Bright Eyes! Don’t give up! We believe in you!” Blade Swipe shouted, as the rest of the ninjas and the crowd of CHS students and citizens encouraged Bright Eyes to get back on her feet.

Bright Eyes looked up at her opponent and glared, “I let you intimidate me into backing down!” (
She took a deep breath and slowly got back to her hands and knees. Then slowly, she finally stood back up and told Lightning Dust, “I'm not letting you intimidate me again! And I am not gonna let you and your bullies win!”

The Ninjas and the crowd cheered.

Lightning Dust said, “Then I guess I'm just gonna have to break your leg again! Just like how Shark broke your boyfriend’s arm!”

Bright Eyes growled, “He’s not that kind of guy anymore. His name is Swift Wing. And you’re not breaking any limbs of mine tonight!” Then she stood on one leg, while holding her right hand out for balance and holding her left hand in a striking pose.

The Ninjas and Princess Twilight were surprised that Bright Eyes learned a new fighting stance that they’ve never seen before. Lightning Dust began reflecting her opponent’s movements and it caught her off guard without even realizing it.

Both competitors glared at each other as the referee shouted, “Ready? Fight!”

Sensei Kai shouted, “Finish her!”

Lightning Dust roared and charged at Bright Eyes by swinging a kick. But Bright Eyes spun around to avoid her kick and then she back-flipped with a pele kick, nailing Lightning Dust in the head, knocking her to the mat. Sensei Kai and his Viper Kai students stared in shock while the Ninjas smiled in wonderment.

The referee shouted, “Third point! CHS wins!”

The crowd and the Ninjas congratulated and applauded Bright Eyes for her outstanding performance.

As for Sensei Kai, he growled, “Unacceptable!” He rushed forward and leapt into the air about to land a hard kick onto Bright Eyes, when Leo came out of nowhere and knocked him back with a counter kick. Kai stood up as Leo stood in a stance, “So you wanna rumble, freak? C’mon then! Let’s finish this!”

As for Lightning Dust who was covering her face, went to the locker room and the rest of the Viper Kai students followed Lightning to check on her.

Then, Karai stepped in and kicked him in the nuts from behind. Kai shouted in pain, “Aarghh!”

As Kai continued laying on the ring, Karai held Kai’s head and made him kneel as she slowly moved her right arm to get ready to use her deadly hand chop. Karai whispered to him, “Mercy is for the weak, we do not train to be merciful here. You’ve chosen a path to become the enemy. An enemy like you deserves no mercy.” Kai became afraid of her and Karai was ready to hit a devastating blow on Kai as she yelled. But instead, she stopped and comically tweaked Kai’s nose, “Honk.”

Karai let Kai go and Leo told him, “It’s over, Kai! You lost.”

Sensei Kai got up on one knee and replied, “Nah! As long as I stand, this will never be over!”

Then suddenly, The Viper Kai students were back in their normal clothes and tossed their gi in the ring to Sensei Kai. He looked at them and questioned them, “What is the meaning of this!?”

“We saw what you’re trying to do. We lost. There’s nothing we can do about it. You need help, dude. So, we quit.” Lightning Dust explained as she and the rest of the former Viper Kai students walked away.

Before the former Viper Kai students were exiting the building, Donnie told them, “Hold up, before you guys go. We figured Sensei Kai wouldn’t take defeat, so we had a little back up plan...”

Just then, police sirens came from outside. Kai looked back in surprise before glaring at the ninjas.

“What did you do?!” Sensei Kai angrily asked.

“Why don’t you take a look at the TV.” Donnie said as he and the ninjas explained about the camera footage of his students stealing the charity money and giving it to him, which Twilight broadcasted on the screen. She even showed camera footage from CHS, showing the Viper Kai students causing trouble from the lunchroom to the soccer field. Not only that, there’s also footage from CPA, showing the Viper Kai students vandalizing the hallways to the auditorium with spray-paint.

The audience gasped and murmured about the footage.

Principal Celestia, Principal Cadence, and Vice Principal Luna approached him. Celestia said, “Mr. Kai, you have anything to say about this?”

Sensei Kai didn’t answer as two police officers entered the building and arrested Kai. The two officers escorted Kai out of the building and Kai shouted the Ninjas and his former students, “You will pay for this! All of you!”

After that, Principal Celestia and Cadence walked up to the former Viper Kai students and gave the Young Ninjas’ punishment to the Viper Kai students.

“You guys are going to be in detention every week until this school year ends.” Principal Celestia told them.

Principal Cadence added, “Same goes to my students as well.”

Lightning Dust told them, “You know what, we at least deserve that kind of punishment. So, we’re sorry.”

After Lightning apologized, she ran to get the trophy from the ring announcer and approached towards Bright Eyes. Lightning offered Bright Eyes the trophy, surprising her and the Ninjas.

“Congratulations, Bright Eyes. You earned it.” Lightning Dust said.

Bright Eyes received the trophy from Lightning Dust and Lightning patted her on the shoulder, earning her respect and walked away to join her comrades. And before they left, the former Viper Kai students bowed to the Ninjas to show their respect. The Ninjas bowed back to them to show their respect as well, thus forging peace between two dojos.

The former Viper Kai students exited the CHS gymnasium, and the ring announcer announced, “Now with that’s out of the way, let’s give it up for this year’s new champion, Bright Eyes!”

Confetti started falling from the ceiling as The Ninjas and the crowd celebrated with Bright Eyes as she raised the trophy up in the air like a champion. Thus, Viper Kai was defeated and the Ninjas saved CHS.

Minutes later, the Ninjas threw a beach party in honor of Bright Eyes. The CHS and CPA students were enjoying themselves partying and playing around at the beach.

Swift Wing gave his friends some drinks and he sat down on the table with them.

“So, what are you going to do next, Swift Wing?” Bright Eyes asked him.

Swift Wing answered, “Well, since Rumble, Heath, and I helped you guys win, Principal Celestia decided to give us detention for one month. That’s all I can say.”

“It’s alright, buddy. We forgive you and your pals. But still, we got a lot of catching up to do.” Lancer told him.

“Oh, you bet.” Swift Wing said.

Bright Eyes smiled at the boys and then she glanced at Pauly Sentry who was talking to her brother, Flash Sentry. She cleared her throat and asked them, “So Pauly, how did you meet Flash and how are you related to him?”

“It’s a long story.” Pauly said.

Then, Rainbow Dash spoke up through the mic, “Alright, everybody! This song is for our students, Crystal Prep’s dojo, and most importantly, our champion, Bright Eyes!”

The crowd cheered and applauded as Bright Eyes blushed.

Pinkie Pie clapped her drumsticks and counted, “1... 2... 3... Go!”

The Rainbooms and Turtles played a rocking beat for their concert. At the climax of the concert, Rainbow Dash, Sunset Shimmer, and Leo performed guitar solos one by one. Everyone in the beach partied on while the Rainbooms and Ninjas continued to rock on and perform onstage to celebrate their victory.
