unceremonious summoning

After the defeat of most of the Ten commandments. Meliodas and the rest of the seven deadly sins were celebrating at the boar hat tavern. All seven of the members all had a little too much to drink. Everyone was now asleep with the only being that was awake was Hawk, Meliodas’ pig companion, and Captain of the Order of Scraps Disposal. He was busy cleaning up the mess from the party.

Hawk soon noticed that Meliodas was starting to be surrounded by a light of some kind. “MELIODAS WATCH OUT.” Hawk ran to headbut him out of the light, but they both vanished within it. When they both regained their senses, they were somewhere completely different. The area was dimly lit, and had a horrendous smell.

“What happened Hawk?” Meliodas asked his pig friend, as he stood up, “It smells worse than the sewers.”

“I don’t know,” Hawk replied, “I just hope I don’t end up as someone’s pork dinner.” Soon they were able to see that they were on something like a podium. When he looked down, he saw that he was in a magic binding circle, which was similar in function to an invisible cage that was powered by magic. It was made to keep Meliodas trapped in there.

“BEHOLD THE DEMON.” A cloaked figure said among a large crowd. Of other hooded figures. The old looking creatures were more long than tall, like tiny ponies. “HE WILL HELP US OVERTHROW THE PRINCESSES.”

“And why would I do that?” Meliodas asks the crowd leaving them stunded at his remark.

“Because we summoned you, demon.” The hooded figure removed his cloak to reveal he was a elderly unicorn with a scar over his left eye. “The princesses have ruled for too long. NOW IT IS OUR TIME TO REVOLT AND RECONSTRUCT PONY SOCIETY.”

Well then, Meliodas thought, I might as well play their game. “Who are you, and what is in this for me?”

“You can call me father, I am the leader of this cult.” He said, “You will be given a sacrifice to fulfill any of your evil fantasies upon her no matter what they are. That should be enough reason.”

“Wait hold on-” Meliodas was interrupted by father levitating a small beige colored unicorn, with a black mane. She looked very weak and malnourished.

“I apologize for the quality of your sacrifice,” father said, “We need to save as much power as possible. But she,” father punctuated, “Is expendable. We will leave you to fulfill your deepest desire to her.”

“What do you want me to do with her?”

“I don’t care. Kill her, make her your concubine, whatever you wish.” The frail unicorn flinch at what she heard. Soon after the large crowd dispersed through some doors in the back. Meliodas and Hawk haven’t been so confused in their lives.

“Umm. Hello?” Melliodas said, still confused on everything going on, “what is your name?” Are they seriously doing this, Meliodas thought to himself, I can’t believe they would do this to someone. Even my father would think this is atleast a little cruel.

“My name is Stella Light,” She said, while her legs were shaking, barely able to stand up on her own. “W-with my name I-I bind My soul to your s-service and I am yours to do wh-whatever you desire, m-my life is n-now in your h-h-ooves master.”

Meliodas blinked a few times, “What was that about?” Meliodas asked Hawk

“DO YOU EXPECT A PIG TO KNOW.” Hawk said

“A t-t-talking pig.” Stella said, “Is h-he y-y-yours m-master?”

“Yup, I am Hawk,” he said

“You can call me Meliodas, but why did they do this to you?” Meliodas asked angered that someone would do such a thing to someone so kind.

“I mess up.” Stella said, still quite terrified, “Alot,” she said, rubbing the size of her leg.

“Mess up?” Meliodas asked, “On what?”

“E-every few nights I can see into the future.” Stella said, “B-but the v-visions are v-vivid, s-so they d-don’t always c-come true.” She was starting to cry.

“No matter how much you mess up at that,” Meliodas said rubbing her cheek, whipping a tear with his thumb, “There is no reason why they should’ve done this to you.”

“B-But father said that-” Cocoa was cut off by Meliodas scratching her ear, calming her down.

“I do not care what he said, there is no justification for what he did.” Meliodas said, starting to get angry, “He never deserved that title. That title is reserved for someone who actually cares for you.”

“Can you two love birds quit it?” Hawk interrupted their moment, “I think I hear them coming.” Moments later, the door creaked open and out walked father, followed by a pony with a mop and bucket. Then the two ponies saw that there was no dead corpse, or any blood at all.

“Did you not enjoy your sacrifice?” father asked while he dismissed the one carrying the mop and bucket.

“No, I didn’t.” Meliodas said coldly, this made Father approach slowly as his intentions were to take Stella back, “But I have something to tell you and all your ‘goonies’ so get them in here.”

Father called for all the members of their odd little cult to enter the room. All of them took their place, Stella got up to take her place. “Stella,” Meliodas whispered to her, “You stay up here with me. You’ve already suffered enough, I will not make you go back down there again. Got it?”

“THE DEMON HAS AN ANNOUNCEMENT.” Father shouted, calming down the crowd.

“First off, HOW DARE YOU.” This made everyone who heard it jump, “YOU TOOK ME FROM MY HOME AND EXPECTED ME TO HELP YOU,” Meliodas made his demon mark show, “Not only that, Your so called sacrifice has already suffered more than enough. Killing her would be a blessing. I may be a demon, but I have standards.” Meliodas was starting to get really angry, “And to add salt into the wound, you have no clue on who you summoned do you. I am Meliodas, Eldest son of the demon king.” The crowd was stunned and shook with fear.

“My liege,” father said bowing starting to stammer his word, “W-We didn’t know that-”

“QUIET” Meliodas demanded, “Not only did you give the prince of demons the worst of the worst. You’ve actually convinced me not to help you.” Meliodas then had an idea, “You all need to be taught some compassion. So starting now, Stella here is now in charge and only answers to me. A command from her is to be taken as a command from me. If I hear that if any of you are giving her trouble, I am going to open a gate to purgatory and throw you in there. Do you understand that?”

“Yes my liege.” father said refusing to raise his head,

“Good,” Meliodas said, “Now then, go bring us something to eat. I have something I want to talk about with Stella in private about.” The large gather soon dispersed out the doors. There was so much fear in the air, meliodas could smell it. Or it may just be the smell of some decaying corpse over the side of the room.

“W-why did you do this?” Stella asked, starting to have tears in her eyes.

“Because you have suffered enough,” Meliodas said, giving her ear a little scratch, which she let out a small moan of pleasure from. “Now it's my turn to ask you a question, two actually.”

“W-what are they my liege?” Stella asked

“Please just call me Meliodas.”

“W-what are your questions Meliodas?”

“If you were able to leave this cult with no consequences, would you do it?”

Stella thought for a moment on what to say, “..no.”

Meliodas gave her an incredulous gaze, “Be honest, Master commands it.” Meliodas added jokingly.

“Yes, I hate it here,” Stella said, “I would love to go outside one day, but father would never let me go outside.”

“I see,” Everytime Meliodas heard him as that title, he felt a hatred in his heart grow. “Now my second question, do you really want to over through the princesses, or are you just following the cult so they don’t torture you?”

“The s-second one.” Stella said.

“One more thing, can I trust you to keep a secret? This secret is only something that you, me, and Hawk will know about.”

Stella’s eyes widened in a combination of curiosity, and fright. “Yes.”

“Before I tell you this. You must promise you will not tell any-THING about what I am about to tell you.” Meliodas said,

Stella’s eyes couldn't get any wided, she felt her heart pounding in her chest. “I-i promise.”

“Good now come here,” Meliodas motioned for her move close to him, “What I told everyone about was my old title.” Meliodas whispered, what came next shocked Stella, “My title, among the demons, is ‘Meliodas the betrayer.’ I betrayed the entire demon race and helped seal them away for 3,000 years.” Meliodas continued, while “Despite being a demon I’ve retired from my ways of evil. And actually I am not planning on over throwing the princesses, unless they give me a reason to.” Soon after there were some knocks on the door.

“Come in.” Meliodas demanded, he was still pissed at father, and his followers.

“Your lunches my liege, and Stella” a pegasus bowed, carrying a platter that carried two fruit salads, and some bowls of vegetables. “I hope it is okay to your standards, my liege.”

Meliodas looked at the food, “I not that hungry,” He said picking his bowl of vegetables up and placing it on the floor, “Here Hawk,”

“ThankyouMeliodas,” Hawk said a mile a minute before chowing down on the bowl of vegetables.

“Stella, is the food good enough for you,” Meliodas didn’t get a response because Stella was stuffing her face with food. “I’ll take that as a yes. As for you,” He said, “The food has met my standards, so you are dismissed.” He waved his hand to shoo him off. I guess I might as well make the most of this in case I may never return home.

About a week has passed since Meliodas and Hawk arrived in equestria. Their new friend Stella, the unicorn, was putting on some weight and starting to look healthier. Despite Stella being in charge now, Meliodas’s kindness was rubbing off on her. She rarely lashed out at anyone, or in their dialect anypony. Infact, the worst punishment she gave was giving father be on janitor duty. Now it was about lunchtime now, one of the few times Stella and Meliodas were alone, so they could talk to each other in peace, Hawk was usually too busy eating to care what they were talking about.

“So tell me Stella,” Meliodas asked, “what are these ‘Elements of Harmony’ I keep hearing them talk about.”

“Oh?” Stella said, a little surprised at the question, “Well you’re not from around here, so I’ll tell you.” Stella got a smile, “But in return, you have to tell me about the Ten Commandments you used to lead.” She knew Meliodas was kind enough to agree.

“Deal,” Meliodas said

“The elements of harmony are crystals with a magical power, they have been used in the past to defeat evil.” Stella stated, “Each crystal represents part of how this land works. There are six elements, Honesty, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, Laughter, and Magic.” Stella finished up her small speech. “Your turn.”

“The Ten Commandments are not only the Demon King’s Generals, but they are also a set of curses bestowed upon them.” Meliodas started, “The Commandments were made by splitting half of the Demon King’s power into ten equal sized pieces. The ten commandments are: Purity, Patience, Love, Selflessness, Truth, Repose, Pacifism, Faith, Reticence, and Piety.”

“They Don’t sound too bad for curses,” Stella asked, “What do they do?”

“The bearers are just as much at risk as ones around them.” Meliodas said, “If you lie or go back on your word in the presence of the commandment of truth, you’ll be turned to stone. If you turn your back on piety, you become a mindless slave to the demon king.” Meliodas finished, “Any more questions?”

“Which one were you?” Stella asked, wanting to know more about Meliodas and his world.

“I was-” Meliodas was cut off.

“MY LIEGE!” A dark brown earth pony said running through the doors, “THE ELEMENTS AND THEIR BEARERS ARE HERE. And they captured most of us as well.”

“Where are they?” Meliodas asked

“There only about a minutes run away,” The earth pony said panting

“Hawk,” Meliodas turned to him, “Go show them in,”

“Yes sir.” Hawk said while doing his best to salute with his ears. “Piggy-trot, Piggy-trot, Piggy-trot, Piggy-trot,” he said, as he ran out the door.

“As for you,” Melios said, turning to the earth pony, “Go find a secret exit or something, you don’t have to worry about Me.”

“I’ll do my best, my liege,” he said before running off.

“Meliodas, do you think they’ll take me away?” Stella asked, starting to shake at the knees.

“Don’t worry,” Meliodas said, “I won’t let that happen to you, or Hawk.”

Meanwhile, somewhere down the hall.

“Piggy-trot, Piggy-trot, Piggy-trot” Hawk said as he moved down where he stopped by a group of six ponies.

“Um. Excuse me Mr. Piggy,” The yellow pegasus said, “Is the demon this way?”

“???” Hawk stopped in his tracks, “Yes.” Hawk said, making everypony jump, except Fluttershy, “What you act like you've never seen a pig before.”

“You can understand him?” The yellow one said,

“And what you can’t?” the cyan one asked sarcastically.

“Eh-hem,” Hawk coughed, trying to get the attention back to him, “He actually sent me to greet you and let you all in. He is actually very nice and laid back.”

“So your one of his minions?” the white unicorn asked

“Minions? no,” Hawk said leading the way, “I’m Hawk, one of his friends.”

“Friends?” the orange one asked “why would you be friends with a demon?”

“And why are you talking to a pig?” He asked rhetorically

The orange one opened her mouth to speak, before closing it. “Fair point.”

“Aren’t Demons evil?” the purple winged unicorn asked,

“Most are,” Hawk said, “But you’ll need to ask him if you want more information.”

“I wonder what his favorite flavor of cake is?” the pink one asked, everyone, including Hawk stopped in their tracks and turned to look at her, “What? You all took the good questions.”

A few moments later they were at the room where Meliodas and Stella were at. Meliodas stood where he was summoned with Stella quivering behind him.

“Oh hello,” Meliodas said, “I am Meliodas, it's nice to meet you all.”

“Are you sure this is the demon Twilight?” the white unicorn asked, “He isn’t as intimidating as I thought he was.”

“Hey twi, I think we missed one.” Rainbow dash said, swooping around behind Meliodas and in front of Stella.

Meliodas drew his sword and placed it at the pegasus’s neck. It was done so quickly that the cyan pony was frightened. “Touch her,” Meliodas said with a menacing aura, “And it will gravely cost you.” His demon mark was starting to show, adding to his intimidation.

The pegasus let out a gulp of fear before she flew back to the other 5 ponies.

“Sorry about that,” Meliodas said as he sheathed his sword and his demon mark disappeared, “I don’t like it when people try to hurt my friends.”

“We understand,” The purple one said, “By the way I’m Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends. We have Pinkie pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rainbow dash.” Twilight said point to each of her friends when she said their name. “So would you mind telling us why you're here?”

“I was summoned here to help overthrow the princesses.” Meliodas said, but before he could finish what he was saying he was cut off.

“I KNEW IT.” Rainbow Dash said “It is now or never girls.” Then the six of them were lifted into the air to form a circle-like shape. Their eyes began to glow white as they fired a rainbow blast of magic from within the circle. Meliodas unflinching took lostvayne prepared to protect him, and his friends at all costs.

“FULL COUNTER!!” Meliodas yelled as he launched the blast back at them. The power was so great that it caused a shock wave. The blast launched the six ponies at the back wall, also cracking the Elements of Harmony.

Meanwhile at Celestia’s Chambers.

*BOOM*

A massive shock wave shook the nation.

“Sister?” Luna asked, poking her head into the room, “What was that? And why did I feel a massive power surge from the element.”

“I don’t know sister.” Celestia replied, “I just hope they are not hurt.”

Back to Meliodas and the Main Six.

“You never let me finish talking,” Meliodas said, walking down towards the six ponies. “I was summoned here to overthrow the princesses. I never said I would do that, so normally that attack would have made me angry enough to attack you.” Melliodas said looking in the eyes of the fearful six ponies, “But I understand you wanted to protect your princesses, so I’ll let you live.”

“How did you escape the magic binding circle?” Twilight demanded

“Someone put the rune that powers it in backwards.”

“Y-y-your not g-g-going to e-eat our souls?” Fluttershy asked

“I may be a demon, but I’ve retired from evil long ago.” Meliodas said, “Come on Stella and Hawk. Let's get going.” Meliodas and his two friends then left the building, and entered a bright light. It was the sun, no magic involved (Kinda).

“Meliodas,” Stella asked, “Where are we going to go? We can’t stay here for long or else the guard will get us.”

“Do you know of any place we could go?” Meliodas asked

“Either north to the crystal empire, or south west to the dragon lands would be the somewhat safest options.” Stella said, pausing a moment to think “I think we should go north.”

“That settles it,” Meliodas said “We’re headed north.”

“But it is so far away, how will we get there?”

“I can fly, you can ride on my back while I carry Hawk.”

“Are you sure that's going to be safe.”

“As long as you hold on.”

Dreams & NIghtmares

The small group of friends have been flying for nearly an hour. There was snow for the next hundred or so miles. It was getting close to night time, and Meliodas saw an abandoned cabin. Looked very old and rundown.

“Stella,” Melliodas said, as he lowered the three of them to the ground, “I think we are to stay here until the morning.”

“Hmm?” Stella inquired, still groggy from flying, “Oh okay,” She said with a yawn, “But we need to clean it up and get a fire going.”

“I’ll try to go get some wood while you two try your best to clean up the place.” Meliodas said as he dropped them off inside. Stella and Hawk looked around in the cabin, it looked a whole lot worse on the inside. It had 2 windows both broken, a broken bed frame with a mattress on top, and the fireplace was just about the only thing that was completely destroyed from age.

“Hey Stella,” Hawk said, “Look, over there.” Hawk pointed to a corner of the cabin. There stood a broom and a dust pan, which was perfect for cleaning up the broken glass and dust. The two friends took turns sweeping and holding the dust pan. Despite Hawk not having any magic, He (or she depending on the translation) was able to mimic how a human would hold a broom.

Meanwhile, at Celestia’s and Luna’s throne room

“Celestia,” Twilight said, “When we used the Elements of Harmony on the demon.” Twilight started to avert her gaze, “He redirected the magic back to us, and cracked the elements.”

“The elements will heal themselves with time.” Celestia said, “I am just glad you are all okay. In the meantime, I think it would be best if the six of you would try and find anything out about him.”

“But there was one thing off about him.” Twilight said getting Celestia’s attention, “He didn’t seem like the demons from stories. The stories talk about them being ruthless killers that eat the souls of the fallen.” Twilight gazed change from one of respect for Celestia to curiosity about Meliodas, “He actually showed compassion and understanding. Even after our brash decisions, his demeanor didn’t change much.”

“I see.” Celestia said, “thank you my little ponies.”

After the Main Six left the castle, Celestia went to find her sister Luna. Celestia wanted to know If Luna had any knowledge of the demon.

“Sister?” Celestia asked, “During your dream walking did you see any new doors recently?”

“Two doors appeared only about 10 days ago.” Luna said, “One of them had 7 locks and enchanted chains blocking it. Whatever is inside doesn’t want to be seen,” Luna’s face contorted into one of confusion, “But there have been times where I’ve seen some of the locks been damaged, or even broken.”

Celestia's face also gained a look of confusion, “You mean at times it is not as well guarded?”

“That is exactly what I’m saying.” Luna said, “I’ve been tracking the amount over the past days, and the amount of locks on the door is unpredictable.”

“I see.” Celestia said, “I’m not sure what to do other than watch it and wait for the locks to fall off.”

Back to Meliodas, Hawk, and Stella. Meliodas just got back with a small pile of twigs. While Hawk and Stella finally managed to extract the slightly torn mattress from the bed frame. Now the time was just a little after the sunset.

“Wow,” Meliodas said as he put the kindling on the fireplace, “You two really clean up the place real well. I am impressed.”

“Thanks for the compliments Meliodas,” Stella smiled as she blushed a bit.

“How many girlfriends do you have Meliodas?” Hawk said, “You already have Elizabeth back home, how many more do you need?”

Meliodas struck a thinking pose. “Um. That is a good question.” Meliodas said, “How about all of them.”

“That was Rhetorical, you pervert.” Hawk said, “anyways how are we going to start the fire?”

“There is a spell for that,” Stella said, getting Meliodas’s and Hawks hopes up, “But, I am very out of practice with magic.” That immediately crushed their hope.

“I didn’t want to use this, because it is very risky.” Meliodas said as he drew his sword lostvayne, “Hell Blaze.” A spark of black fire was summoned at the tip of his sword, and he used that spark to light the kindling. Soon there was a black fire giving warmth to the entire cabin.

“Meliodas,” Hawk said, “What about the broken windows, they’ll just let the heat out.”

“Actually I had an Idea, while I was out getting wood.” Meliodas said as he generated a small sphere of darkness. “I think this should do well enough,” He split the orb into 2 equal pieces then shaped them into large rectangular panels to be placed over the broken window.

“Wow,” Hawk said, “I didn’t know you could do that.”

“Actually I replicated it from my battle with King.” Meliodas said, “I never thought I would use it for a practical purpose.”

“King?” Stella asked, “Which king?”

“Fairy king Harlequin, bear sin of sloth.” Meliodas said, “We call him king for short. He is one of my close friends,”

“Sin of sloth?”

“He is part of the seven deadly sins,” Meliodas said, “They are an elite group of Holy knights, which I was their leader until I was pulled from my world.”

“Seven Deadly Sins?” Stella said, “They don’t sound very nice.”

“Well, we spent our time defeating evils,” Meliodas said, “In fact, we were made to defeat the ten commandments, when they returned.”

“Can you tell me more about them,” Stella said, being as inquisitive as ever.

“In the morning,” Meliodas said, “I feel exhausted after today, do you mind if I sleep on the bed?”

“Not at all,” Stella said, “You deserve it after today.”

Meanwhile, in the dream-space, where Luna was dream-walking. She noticed that the door that had locks and chains on it was free from its binding. Upon closer inspection, it was colored a dark purple, almost black, and the “cutie-mark” was a winged red serpent-like creature eating its tail. Luna felt like she shouldn’t look in there, but she let curiosity get the better of her. There were four figures, Meliodas, Estarossa, Zeldris, and Elizabeth. Luna didn’t know their names, not that it mattered. Estarossa had Meliodas in a headlock. Elizabeth was at the feet of Zeldris, very wounded.

“WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS BROTHER.” Meliodas yelled with tears running down his face.

“Don’t you know, brother,” Zeldris said, “Love is for the weak and pitiful.” He raised his sword and prepared to kill Elizabeth, when Luna intervened.

BEGONE NIGHTMARE” Luna commandant as the nightmare the plagued Meliodas vanished.

“What just happened.” Meliodas looked around to see an empty meadow that was covered in the night sky, he turned to see princess Luna flying down from the moon, “Who are you, and why are you in my dreams?”

“I am princess Luna,” She said, “Princess of the night, and caretaker of the dream world, I saw you were having a nightmare and came to help you.”

“Well it is nice to meet you princess Luna.” Meliodas extended a hand for a hand shake, “I am Meliodas,” Luna extended her hoof and they engaged in a hoof-handshake.

“Likewise,” Luna said, “Are you the demon that was summoned here?”

“Yup, you're not going to attack me are you?” Meliodas asked

“No of course not,” Luna said, “I came here to ask some questions about you and your world.”

“Then lets play a game,” Meliodas said

“A game?” Luna asked, “What kind of game?”

“The rules are simple,” Meliodas said, “You ask me a question, then I have to ask a question. Simple right.”

“Why do I feel like I am going to regret this.” Luna said, “I will play this game,”

“Alright,” Meliodas said, “I’ll let you go first.”

“Why did you run away when you cracked the elements of harmony?” Luna asked

“The bearer's prejudice left a bad taste in my mouth, metaphorically speaking.” Meliodas said, “So I wanted to go somewhere where the ponies didn’t know me. So I could start a clean slate, and live life as normally as possible. Since the elements were directly connected to the land, they would be able to heal themselves over time.” Now Meliodas stopped to think of his question, “Are there any evils I should be aware about?”

“As of the moment, no,” Luna said, “But there have been several in the past: Tirek, King Sombra, and NIghtmare moon. Now then, How did you manage to crack the elements?”

“Full counter.” Meliodas said, “It is one of my abilities, I can redirect any magic based attack back towards the user at double the power. Now it's my turn, do you have any family?”

“I have an elder sister, her name is Celestia, and I have many adoptive nieces and nephews,” Luna said, “Now what is your family like?”

“I am the oldest of my brothers, Estarossa and Zeldris.” Meliodas said, “While my father is the demon king. Now then, what is there anything else you think I should know?“

“If you're planning on heading to the crystal empire,” Luna said, “You should know that the princess is rather kind and forgiving, while her husband is the captain of the royal guard. What are your present goals while you're here in Equestria.”

“I am hoping to find a way home, and possibly bring Stella with me.” Meliodas said, “I think the sins will be happy to have another friend to adventure with.”

“What do you mean, ‘the sins’?” Luna asked

“I am captain of a group of elite holy knights known as the seven deadly sins.” Meliodas said, “I am known as the Dragon sin of wrath.”

“You must be very strong to be known as ‘the dragon sin,’ but I am afraid I have been here much longer than I thought I’d be,” Luna apologized, “There are other dreams I must attend to, so I will be leaving now.”

“Goodbye Luna,” Meliodas said.

The next morning, Meliodas awakened to find Stella snuggled up next to him. She was shivering, it wasn’t that cold, the house managed to keep most of its internal heat. Could she be having a nightmare? Meliodas put a hand on her to try and comfort her.

“Eep” Stella squealed as she jumped awake.

“Everything alright Stella?” Meliodas asked,

“I think I had a prophecy dream.” Stella said, “There were Ten figures, one of them was noticeably bigger than the others.” Meliodas’s face got serious.

“I just hope it isn’t them,” Meliodas said, “The ten commandments.”

“Could there be another group of ten?” Hawk asked, as they moved outside “last time you checked, you managed to kick their butts.”

“That's what I was hoping for, but on a side note, we need to get going. The more we wait the last time we have to get there.” Meliodas said as he picked up Hawk, “Get on Stella.” With that command, Stella hopped onto Meliodas’s back with her hooves wrapped around his neck. Soon after Meliodas sprouted his wings and they resumed their flight to the Crystal empire.

Crystal Tavern

The group of companions have been traveling for a few more hours. Not to raise any alarm, they stopped flying and walked the last half mile. Seeing a creature with dark purple wings, that were almost as big as he is, would be kinda terrifying. Whenever one of them got cold, Meliodas would use Hell Blaze to keep them warm. It was just after nightfall when the three of them made it to the crystal empire.

“Meliodas,” Stella said, “would you mind telling me about the seven deadly sins?”

“The seven deadly sins are a group of elite holy knights made to defeat the ten commandments. Each one of them has committed an unforgivable sin.” Meliodas said, “There is King, who is Bear sin of sloth, Ban, Fox sin of greed, Merlin, boar sin of gluttony, Gowther, Goat sin of lust, Escanor, Lion sin of pride, and there is me, Meliodas, dragon sin of wrath.”

Stella let out a small chuckle, “you don’t seem to be very wrathful,” Stella said, “Infact, you are the exact opposite.”

“Just because it is the sin I represent,” Meliodas said, “Doesn’t mean that I am always angry. It just means my anger has gotten the best of me, that was my deadly sin.”

“Happens to all of us.” Stella said, “No one is perfect.”

“I understand that,” Meliodas said, “But my wrath and anger has wiped an entire kingdom off the map.”

“Sweet Celestia,” Stella said in shock, “You have to be the strongest of the seven sins.”

“Actually,” Hawk said, “Escanor is at least 10 times stronger than him.”

“He’s joking.” Stella said, “right?”

“Nope,” Meliodas said, as he saw something in the corner of his eye. It was a sign that said, ‘Bartender Wanted for Hire.’ Meliodas went inside the small building, “Come on Stella, I think I found a job.” Inside it was relatively empty, other than the group, there were 2 unicorns, 3 pegasi, and an earth pony.

“Welcome to the Silver Crystal Tavern.” An older looking unicorn said, “Anything I can get you?”

“I would like to know If you're still hiring?” Meliodas asked,

“Yes we are,” He said, “My name is Alex Stonewell, I own this relatively small Tavern. If I employ you, I need to know your name.”

“I am Meliodas, and back home, I used to run The Boar Hat Tavern.” Meliodas said, “It was relatively small in size, but many people loved it.”

“Well then Mr. Meliodas,” Stonewell said, “I am glad to have you hired as the new Bartender.” Stonewell then noticed Stella standing behind Meliodas, “Sorry, I didn’t notice you, can I get you something Miss?”

“Um, no thank you.” Stella said, “I am just travelling with Meliodas.”

Not too long after her statement, a large low growl could be heard. Everyone turned to look at Hawk.

“How much longer till lunch?” Hawk asked, making Stonewell jump in surprise. “What, You act like you’ve never seen a talking pig before.”

“That's because pigs normally don’t talk.” Stonewell said as he recomposed himself.

“Well anyways,” Hawk said, “When’s lunch, we have eaten at all today yet.”

“Here let me make you all something to eat.” Stonewell said, as he moved to the relatively small kitchen. He arrived back at the bar carrying three salads for Meliodas and his friends. “I hope you like it.”

“They actually look quite delicious.” Stella said with a smile, “Thank you for the meal.”

Upon eating the first bite, it was like heaven. Despite being a simple salad with very little season, it tasted extraordinary. Meliodas was enjoying his meal when he heard a bell ring, he looked over and saw a small bell being rung by some kind of magic or enchantment.

“Is it already that time?” Stonewell asked,

“Huh?” Meliodas asked, “What do you mean?”

“The evening shift for the royal guard is over.” Stonewell said, “In about three minutes, we will have at least 40 members of the royal guard, not including the captain himself.”

“I see, so I might as well start getting to work.” Meliodas said as he moved behind the bar, “Stella, if you need anything just call for me.”

“Actually,” Stella said, “I was hoping to stay with you and help a bit.”

“Okay,” Meliodas said, “You might be able to help, Just ask Mr. Stonewell if he needs help anywhere.” Meliodas heard something, it sounded like an earthquake.

“They are here.” Stonewell said, “get ready for your first day of work here.”

“Eh it's easy,” Meliodas said, “I may just need a little help learning the names of the drinks.”

There were a whole bunch of guards getting in line at the bar. “AYE, misshapen centar,” One of the guards said, “I’ll take a Hydra Venom.” The next one ordered a Zebranica gold, then next was a Luna’s MS. The names of the drinks were foriegn to Meliodas, but he understood the language well enough to know which one they were talking about. A little less than an hour had passed when he had finished serving everyone (or everypony) their drinks. Some came back for seconds or thirds on their drink. All of them were starting to party a little too hard.

“You smell nice,” A unicorn guard slurred out as he sniffed Stella main, “We should go and make foals.”

“Hey,” Meliodas said, walking over to the guard, “You're making my friend uncomfortable, so could you please stop.”

“What ya gonna do about it? Ya hairless ape” The guard said, starting to get offensive, “Ya don’t even have magic.”

“You need a breath mint.” Meliodas said as he flicked the drunk pony and sent him flying through the door, breaking it down in the process. “Are you okay Stella?” Meliodas asked, making sure she was fine.

“Yeah I’m fine.” Stella said, “Thanks for helping me out Meliodas.”

“It was nothing,” Meliodas said,

“Nothing!?” A unicorn guard said, “You took out one of my best guards with a single finger.”

Meliodas turned around to look at the pony, “And who are you?”

“I am Shining Armor.” He said, “Captain of the royal guard, and the prince of the Crystal Empire by marriage.”

“Nice to meet you,” Meliodas said, “I am Meliodas,”

“Well Meliodas, I would like to personally invite you to the royal guard.” Shining armor said, “It pays a lot better than working in the tavern.”

“I’ll put it under consideration.” Meliodas said, “But as of right now, I have to politely decline.”

Shining Armor’s face went blank, “You're turning down a personal invite from the head of the guard. Do you understand how rare those things are.”

“Yes, I am aware.” Meliodas said, “I am trying to go home, so I am not planning on staying here forever. So unless something happens, I am turning down your invitation.”

“Are you worried about your friend?” Shining armor asked, “I could make sure she would be protected with the female guards.”

“No, that's not the reason,” Meliodas said, “If I were to join the guard, all of them would grow lax and week and rely on me to protect the kingdom. Like I said, I am not planning on being here forever, so when I leave, there would be a massive gap in strength.”

“I don’t understand what you're saying.” Shining armor said,

“He is basically saying that he is too strong for the royal guard.” Hawk said,

“Is that pig talking?” Shining armor asked, “Or am I drunk?”

“Yes, the pig is talking to you.” Hawk said, “My name is Hawk.”

Shining Armor looked at the clock on the side of the wall, it was about a quarter after 10. “Sweet Celestia,” Shining armor exclaimed, “Cadence is going to kill me if I don’t get home soon.” He said as he ran off somewhere.

“Who’s Cadence?” Hawk asked Meliodas

“I think she is his wife.” Meliodas replied

Meanwhile in Celestia chambers.

Celestia let out a gasp as she woke up in a cold sweat, as she tried to recall the events that happened in her dream. “Another demon?” Celestia told herself, “No, it can’t be. It's impossible, that thing was too strong to be a demon.” Celestia’s face went ghostly white, “The Prophecy of the Second Sun.”

Three knocks on the door soon followed. “Sister?” Luna said, “Is everything alright? When you woke up, you startled just about everypony in the castle awake.”

“I am fine sister.” Celestia said. “But do you know if we have the Prophecy of the Second Sun in the Secret Library.”

“I think so.” Luna replied, “Why do you want that old book?”

“Let's just say I have a hunch about something.” Celestia said, “I think it would be best to reread it.”

“You had another vision didn’t you?” Luna asked with a sigh

“Yes,” Celestia replied hesitantly, “Apparently that Demon isn’t the only visitor we’ll be seeing.”

Meliodas and his two friends, Stella and Hawk, have been in the Crystal Empire for at least another week. He was starting to be known as the strongest creature in all of Equestria. After word spread, he even got a few dragons to travel to the crystal empire to challenge him for the title. Once he was invited for a royal guard event, the invitation said he would be paid generously for coming to it. Apparently it was a fighting festival, almost every member of the guard joined the festival. As you could expect, Meliodas won without competition.

One day, when Stella and hawk were running some errands. Meliodas was working his normal shift when 6 ponies entered the small tavern. They were the same ponies who tried blasting him with rainbows.

“Hello, anything I can get you?” Meliodas asked, having his back turned to the small crowd restocking bottles,

The six ponies looked among themselves, Purple Smart Twilight Sparkle, spoke up first. “6 Ciders Please.”

The voice caught Meliodas’s attention. “Oh hello, I wasn’t expecting to see you here. ” Meliodas said, as he started to pour the ciders, “So I assume you didn’t just come here to get some ciders?”

“We were actually sent here by Celestia to talk to you about something.” Twilight said, “She was wondering if you may be connected to one of her visions.”

“How so,” Meliodas asked as he paced the mugs down.

“Apparently there was something to do with a second sun in the sky that cuts through the darkness.” Twilight said, “but the last thing she saw before she woke up was being face to face with what was believed to be a manticore.”

“A second sun?” Meliodas inquired, “I think I know someone from my world like that.” He took a moment to think about his next words, “But I am unsure about if it is him.”

“Well who is it.” Rainbow Dash butted in.

“His name is Escanor, he is the Lion Sin of Pride.” Meliodas said, “He is quite powerful.”

“Sin of Pride. Heh,” Applejack chuckled, “Sounds like Rainbow.”

“The fastest flier in Equestria.” Rainbow Dash added on, just proving her point.

Meliodas couldn’t help but laugh a little at their display. “You see his pride comes from the fact that he is so strong.” Meliodas said, “To put in perspective of how strong he is…” Meliodas thought of a good way to explain Escanor’s power, “It is nearly impossible for him to exaggerate about himself.”

“You gotta be kidding.” Pinkie pie said, “There is no way for any creature to be that strong.”

“He has defeated most of his enemies in a single swing.” Meliodas said as he poured himself a cider, “So no, I am not joking.”

“So you're saying that he is-” Twilight was interrupted by a guard.

“Miss sparkle.” He said, “We need to get you and your friends to safety. King sombra has been spotted, and he is leading an army of some kind.” He turned to Meliodas, “You have been asked to personally protect Shining Armor and Cadence.”

“Wait, what?” Twilight asked, Meliodas was about to respond when a loud crash sounded. Everyone went outside and saw a Glorious Golden axe.

“I am not much of a fan of weapons,” Rarity said, “But this axe looks simply divine.”

“Because it is.” A voice said as a golden hand picked it up, “It is my Sacred Treasure, Divine Axe Rhitta.” When everyone turned to look, there stood Escanor in his golden armor.

“Who are you?” Twilight asked

“I am one of the Seven Deadly Sins,” he said, “Escanor, Lion Sin of pride. Remember the name well.”

“Are ya another demon?” Applejack asked

“Do not compare me to such lowly creatures that hide in the dark.” Escanor said, looking down on them for thinking that, “I am a human, but I am also the one who stands at the pinnacle of all races.” Escanor raised his finger so it looked as if it sat upon the sun. “I look down upon one's weaker than myself.”

“Pinnacle of all races?” Rainbow dash said, “Bwahahaha,”

“Hahaha,” Escanor joined in the chuckle before he lowered his axe and cut off a piece of Rainbow Dash's Main. The sheer impact with the ground made everyone jump.

“Holy-” Rainbow Dash flew behind the rest of the six ponies.

“No one hurts my friends” Fluttershy flew up so that they were eye level. Her friends knew what she was doing, The Stare.

Escanor’s face, even if it was just for a split second, turned to fear, then immediately recomposed itself. “Tell me little one,” Escanor said, “What is your name?”

“My name is Fluttershy.” she said, starting to lose her Adrenalin rush.

“Well Fluttershy,” Escanor said, “You have impressed me. A task not easily done by the goddess race, Demon race, or whatever they may be.” The complement made Fluttershy blush a bit.

“Sir we ask you to evacuate the area.” The guard said, “A monster is coming and we need to-”

“Escanor can handle it.” Meliodas interrupted, “It would actually be best to tell the rest of the guards to move back. So they don’t get in his way.”

“But I am not a high enough command to do that.” The guard said, “I am just a messenger at best.”

“Tell them Meliodas suggested it.”

Small time skip, all the guards have been moved. Hawk and Stella are accompanying Meliodas, the main 6, Shining armor, and Cadence. Now Sombra has just entered the Crystal Empire’s Barrier. There was only one thing in his way of controlling the empire, Escanor.

“How bold of them to only you.” Sombra said, “Before I kill you, I must know your name.”

“I am Escanor, Lion Sin of Pride.” He said, “Commit it to memory before I kill you.” Escanor readied his stance for combat, “I am feeling generous today, I’ll let you have the first attack.”

“With pleasure.” Sombra said before letting loose a monsterous magical blast. The attack was so powerful it tore into the ground, practically disintegrating it.

(Scene change: Royal balcony, Crystal empire)

“Sweet mother of Celestia and Luna.” Shining armor said, “Meliodas, if we don’t do anything he will die.”

“No he won’t,” Hawk said, “Sombra only has a combat class of 2,500, while Escanor has a combat class of nearly 96,000.”

(Scene change: Sombra vs. Escanor)

“Well that was, underwhelming,” Escanor said, as he stood up from the ashes, “My turn.” Escanor raised his axe and said two words, “CRUEL SUN!” A massive ball of fire appeared hovering over his axe. The light from his attack could have been seen from the entirety of Equestria, and then some. He lowered his axe and trew the giant sun at Sombra.

“ESCANOR! I WILL HAVE MY REVEN-” Sombra was cut off by Escanor’s attack turning him to ashes.

Meanwhile, at the Canterlot castle.

“AUNTIE AUNTIE” Blueblood yelled as he ran down the hall to the balcony, “Auntie Celestia, why was there another sun in the sky?”

“I am not sure Blueblood.” Celestia said in a somewhat expressionless tone, “I just hope it is nothing to worry about.”

Back at the Crystal Empire

Escanor walked to Sombra's large army of shadow ponies. “I’ll give you two choice, flee or die.” Escanor said, “Choose quickly while I still feel generous.” The shadow ponies vanished back to the depth of tartarus, that was probably the wisest choice.

“See,” Hawk said, “Didn’t I tell you he would be fine.”

After Escanor arrived at Meliodas and the other, he had a question that needed to be answered. “Captain.” Escanor said, “Is this where you’ve been?”

“Yup,” Meliodas said, “It is rather peaceful here.”

“Wait, captain?” Cadence asked

“I am the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins,” Meliodas said, “They are a group of elite holy knights.”

“So Escanor,” Meliodas said, “Where are the others.”

“I cannot say for certain.” Escanor said, “But Miss Merlin told me to take care of anything that needs to be done.”

“Mr. Escanor,” Cadence said, “We thank you for defeating that Evil king, Sombra. We hope he wasn’t too much trouble.”

“Too much trouble? I was holding back,” Escanor said, “I was actually hoping he would survive that attack so I could continue to have fun.”

“You had fun toying with one of the strongest villains of our world?” Shining Armor asked,

“He was one of your strongest?” Escanor asked, “All I felt for him was pity. No one deserves facing an opponent such as myself.”

“Sweet Celestia,” Rainbow dash said, “And I thought I had a problem with Pride.”
