Fluttershy is tired of being weak and sensible, so she asks Discord if he can do anything to change her. He agrees, bu not the way Fluttershy expected. She is punished with ultimate pain at night.
Fluttershy is so tired of being called weak, sensible and quiet. So she asks Discord if he can change her to some way she can be more confident and loud. Discord meets her and agrees. She gets changed, but not the way Fluttershy expected it. She later finds out that she's being punished every time she goes to sleep with ultimate pain.
Nothing's ever fair anymore.. am I as weak as they say I am? I seriously nervous about this, but it might be the only way to get other ponies view of me to change. I don't wanna be weak and sensible. I want to be strong, confident and smart. Discord knows how to cause chaos..will he be able to change me?
The Everfree forest was much darker than I expected. There was a dim light in the distance between the trees. I followed it and it led me to the well, what I'd been looking for in the first place. I looked around, thinking I'd heard moaning. I took a deep breath and looked down.
"Discord...!" I called, hoping he would appear.
The draconequus popped up on front of me, looking quite satisfied.
"What brings you here?" he asked.
"I have a wish.." I looked up at him.
He chuckled, "Go on..."
"Change me please! I wanna be stronger and more affirmative!"
He glared at me for a moment and nodded, "You're completely sure this is what you want?No matter the consequences?"
I nodded sternly.
Discord smiled and snapped. "Have a nice trip~!" He said. In a moment, I was floating in darkness. My eyes hurt and my hooves were weak. I could barely keep my eyes from shutting. I groaned and tried moving. I felt frozen in place. Tears filled my eyes..not from the pain, but from what was happening. Discord often overdoes things, was this one of them?
"Fluttershy..." an airy voice called.
I shook my head and bit my lip. The pain spread everywhere and soon...my senses where gone and I didn't feel anything. I felt like I was underwater...but could somehow breathe. I couldn't see a thing. I tried to look around, I could hear hoofsteps for some reason. Next a laugh..then a cry and lastly..a ring. I felt..dead..or as if...I...didn't exist.
I opened my eyes weakly. They both hurt terribly. I looked down and saw that my hooves weren't their usual light yellow. They were mint green. I tried standing up, but it hurt so much. I felt weak, just like I didn't wanna feel. I managed to get up. I looked around, it looked like my cottage, just more green. I directed to a mirror I saw . I looked at myself and gasped at what I saw.
I saw a light green pegasus with pink eyes and a curly orange mane. I looked at my flank, instead of butterflies for my cutie mark there was a upside down heart and three hearts on top making a paw. I galloped around to see if there where any animals.
"Hm..." I entered a room just next to the mirror. I saw a green room with a pink bed. There was a large rug and a dresser in front of the bed. On top of the dresser laid two hair brushes 3 books and 1 green book on the center. I walked over to the book and opened it to the first page.
"Feather Rose's Journal?" I said, realizing my voice was a lot more louder, raspy and light. I gasped. I remembered what happened on the well. Is this what Discord thought I meant by change?
"Lord...am I even in Ponyville anymore?" I asked myself. I decided to look for the answer by going out. I was happy to see that it was Ponyville. I sighed in relief. I hoped that everything stayed the same so I went over to Sugar Cube Corner. It looked exactly the same, phew. I entered the store, expecting Pinkie Pie to hop on me. Instead she was busy baking a pie.
"Hello?" I said.
"Oh! Hi Feather Rose!" Pinkie answered, stirring some batter.
"Hi.." I said, a bit unusually, loud and clear.
"Wanna help me make some," she grabbed a baked pie and pushed it in front of my face."pies?"
I smiled, at least the ponies I knew where still the same. I decided to go along with this for a while.
Pinkie and I ended up making delicious pies, even though we got really dirty. After a shower, I decided to get to know my new cottage better, it was like mine, just a little different. I entered a new room, and finally saw some cute butterflies. They instantly saw me and flew in a circle around me. I flew up with them and giggled. Now this felt familiar.
"Have you seen any other animals?" I asked a butterfly that landed on my hoof. The butterfly nodded. It led me over to the back door of my cottage.
There were a lot of animals! It was already afternoon, so I decided to stay with the animals for a while, then visit my friends. I flew over too some birds who followed me as I descended, I still have my talent for animals!
Late...an entire day of helping my friends. I was tired, and somehow...uncomfortable. I found this world amazing, but it just didn't feel right. At the end of the day, my entire body hurt. I could barely fly of stand up. It was like that black pain that got me here in the first place. I finally got to my bed and fell asleep immediately.
"Fluttershy."
"Fluttershy."
I groaned opening my eyes. I wasn't in Feather Rose's room. I was standing in a black place. There was a soft breeze come over me, which somehow brought pain everywhere on my body. I shut my eyes, not that it would make a difference from the darkness. Tears filled my eyes again, just like the pain filled my body. After a while, I allowed myself to open my eyes, but I was still in agony. I raised my hoof, which was back to being light yellow. I was back to being Fluttershy. I laid there, with pain surrounding me.
I don't know how long it took, but the pain went away. I looked around, I was still in the black space. I stood up and galloped to a corner of that space. It seemed like forever until I reached a wall. I tapped on it, and a large light pink circle appeared and disappeared. I tried to speak, but as soon as I tried, the pain came rushing back. I gasped and started crying. I can't believe being a new and improved mare meant being punished every single night....
Feeling a lot more confident, I wanted to see how others saw me. I woke up sweating from the pain last night. I shook it off, which took me a while. Once I finally got out of my cottage, I trotted over to Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack was bucking apples as usual.
"Um.." I took a deep breath, "AJ!".
Applejack missed the tree and fell. "Ouch.." she groaned, as an apple hit her head.
"Oops! I'm so sorry!" I flew over to where she was, "I didn't mean startle you!"
Applejack got back on her hooves and chuckled, "It's fine Feather Rose."
"Um..I wanted to ask you a question." I mumbled.
"Yeah?"
"Um...how would you describe my personality?"
"That's easy!" she answered, "Outgoing, fun, adventurous and kind!"
I gasped. Except the last part, everything else was the opposite of Fluttershy! I continued to ask ponies about my personality and here's what I got.
Pinkie Pie: Fun, quick, brave and kind!
Twilight Sparkle: Organized, funny, kind and brave!
Rainbow Dash: Cool, fun, outgoing and kind.
Rarity: Kind, fashionable and fun.
I was amazed at how they described me. So, I decided to figure out if Feather Rose is actually all of these. After a lot of tries to be adventurous, turns out I was! Going to a bears cave was worth it. That counted as outgoing too. Then I did 'quick', I stood at the edge of the back of my cottage and timed myself on how fast I could fly to a distant cloud. It was 7.6 seconds! Organized, check. Brave, check. Fashionable, um... check? Cool, I guess check? Now, fun which I've heard many times. I tried my best to entertain my animals and surprisingly, worked!
