Our heroes work with the heroes of Star Command to defeat the forces of evil
After their journey to Skylands, the Rainbooms learn that they are being targeted by the Evil Emperor Zurg and his followers for their magic. Now our heroes must work with the legendary Team Lightyear and a band of new rangers to stop this evil before they can use the magic of Equestria for EEEEEVIIIIIIL!
Deep in the Utrom Base, Agent Bishop was informing our heroes about the evil that is out to get the Rainbooms.
"They call him the Evil Emperor Zurg!" He said before showing a picture of him. He is a very tall humanoid with a purple helmet showcasing red eyes and green teeth. He also wears long gray gloves with spiked fingers, and always wears the same purple armor with a fancy dress robe. He also has a "Z" emblem on the front of his cape.
"Well, a bowl of merriment, he is." Raph said.
"But why is he after the 7 of us?" Sunset asked.
"Probably for your geodes and magic." Agent Bishop explained. "Luckly, two teams are being sent to escort you to their base. One of those teams had arrived seconds before you did." He then pushed a button opening a door revealing 5 figures wearing identical space suits of white, green and purple. The one in the middle has spiky yellow hair and tan skin. The Girl in the left has yellow skin and light red hair. The guy on the left was mostly a machine with a small part of his face being organic. The girl on the right has pale skin with a dark hood covering her head. The guy on the right was an animal like in his physique and a human face with brown skin and all covered in fur. "This is Team Lightspeed, the newest team of Space Rangers of Star Command!"
"I'm Rick Lightspeed." The leader said as he introduced himself and his team. "That's Phantasma, Mina Sunblaze, Walter Wilde, and Technoid."
"So where's this other team?" Leo asked.
"They'll be here shortly." Phantasma said. "They're just examining the other levels for any trouble." Unknown to our heroes is that behind them, a robotic arm is flexing its claws.
"Hi there!" A voice said. Our heroes jumped and spun around to see a blue humanoid alien who has periwinkle skin and navy hair that he keeps cropped short, flanked by sideburns, and sporting a chin-strip beard and he has sharp, squarish features. He is broad-shouldered and muscular, and is usually seen wearing body armor colored red and purple. After losing his right arm, he now possesses a cyber-bionic arm with four claws that, by the looks, can morph into an array of weapons, including a flamethrower,
He was accompanied by yellow, bipedal machines with insectoid-like features, holding a large gun. "I'm Warp Darkmatter. I'll be your abductor tonight." He then points the gun at our heroes.
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here..." Rainbow Dash started before dodging a gunshot which made a hole in the floor. "This is the guy who this Zurg guy sent to get us, right?"
"How right you are." Warp said before aiming his gun for another shot. Just then, a well-built, muscular human somewhere in his early or mid-forties jumped out of the hole. He wore the same suit as Rick Lightspeed and his team and his head and a purple cowl, and sports a broad chest and large feet, but also possesses a larger-than-average chin topped off with a characteristic swirl. He blasts the gun in Warp's hand, vaporizing it.
"Lightyear!" Warp said clenching his fist.
"AHHHH!" Technoid screamed. "IT'S BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! THE PRIDE OF STAR COMMAND!"
"That's right, my robotic friend." Buzz said with a grin.
"Hornets! Blast 'im!" Warp commanded his robots. The Hornets open their laser cannons. Everyone gasps. Before they can fire, Another ranger drops through the ceiling and crushes them. He has red skin, large scaly patterns on his back, pink eyes, and large yellow teeth that sometimes protrude from his lower lip. He also has four fingers, and two toes.
"Good work, Booster." Buzz said with a thumbs up.
"Sorry I'm late, sir." Booster said with a salute "I had a heck of a time fitting through that airlock!" He then stands up. "Well, Mister Darkmatter-'' Warp then trapped Sunset in a human sized cage, put her on his back, and then leapt up and propelled himself off Booster's head, turning on his jetpack. "Aw man..."
"Better luck next time, Rookie." Warp said before blasting down the hall.
"Let me out of here!" Sunset demanded.
"Sorry, but seeing as how you are the leader, I need you to lure the others in." He then spoke into his communicator. "Hornets, rendezvous at the cargo hold, move it! Lightyear's here." The two of them looked down and saw a robot that sports the same purple, green and white coloration and logo on his chassis as the other rangers. He has a disembodied gold/bronze-colored head with yellow optics that are currently flashing red and blue, encased purple circles and green eyelids. He possesses short arms and legs which Sunset guessed can stretch out to any length he wants. He also possesses continuous treads encased in green for feet and purple hands. His head is surrounded by an oval glass dome and he is producing a siren sound.
"Alright!" The robot said. "Pull it over, pal."
"Oh great!" Warp said smirking "XR, The tin toy."
"Not tin, a terillium-carbonic alloy." XR said before pulling up beside Warp on the wall" "Let me tell you, by the way-" Warp smacks XR off the wall with one of his wings. XR falls and skids on the ground. "Yow! Hey! Ow, ow, ow, ow, that hurts..."
"See ya, tin toy!" Warp said as he flew past XR.
"Okay, you weren't listening, because I said not tin, it's terillium!" He said while pushing himself up. "Which is very tough, by the way! Don't kid yourself for its – Augh!" Just then, his arm fell off. "'S okay, no problem, nobody saw that." "Picks up arm and puts it back on."
"Warp Darkmatter, you are under arrest" said a young female ranger who seemed to ghost through the door and fire a laser at Warp. She has long red hair, streaked with a paler reddish-orange, and a lovely blue complexion. She has large blue eyes and a shapely form.
The laser takes out one of Warp's wings and he crashes to the ground, and then gets back up in front of her. "I recommend you surrender. Not- Not because I can't take you on, 'cause- 'cause I can."
"Of course you can..." He said with a bow "You can do anything, Princess Mira Nova." Two spiked balls fly out of Warp's shoulder and pass through Mira's body and into the door.
"Aw, care to take another shot?" She asked.
"No need." Warp answered. The balls begin to beep rapidly and explode, sending Mira flying behind Warp. Meanwhile, Warp is unaware that Sunset is trying to pick the lock to the cage.
"There's something you should know about me, little lady." Warp said. "I love fighting rookies."
"Good." XR said as he,Mira, Booster, the new rangers, the rest of the Rainbooms, and the Ninja Turtles were standing behind Warp with arms akimbo. "Because we got a lot of fight left in us!" "He then swings his arm and it pops off again. "My fault, I'll get that."
"You know, there's a couple of things you should know about me too." Sunset said as she finally picked the lock.
"And what's that, little lady?" Warp asked before getting a tap on the shoulder. Warp turns and is shocked to see Sunset out with a smile on her face and determination in her soul.
"I just learned my dad's a portal master." Sunset said before posing for a fight. "And I learned ninjitsu from a rat." She then presses a button on Warp's suit, turning on his jetpack and launching him into the ceiling. A door opens revealing Buzz on the other side and saw Warp stuck on the ceiling.
"Nice job." Buzz said with a grin and a thumbs up.
"Augh!" Warp said with irritation. "Hornets, attack!" Buzz and Sunset look over in surprise as a swarm of Hornets attack him.
"Buzz needs backup!" Mira said as hornets enter the hall and Warp dislodges himself from the ceiling. "I'm going to help him out!"
"And I'm going to help our friend!" Leo said with confidence.
"So am I!" Twilight said, sharing Leo's confidence.
"Can you guys handle this?" Mira asked everyone else while essentially larger variants of Zurg's Hornets, colored black and red come from the other direction.
"Can we handle it?" XR said as he pulls out lots of guns "Can we handle it?" He then looks at Booster, suddenly unsure "Can we handle it?"
"Affirmative, your Highness!" Booster said with confidence.
"Guys, please just call me Mira." Mira said as she ghosts through the floor.
"Can you and the others help them out, Raph?" Leo asked.
"No Prob, Leo." Raph answered. "I've been wanting to break something all day!"
"Thanks, Raph." Leo said as he and Twilight went through the door to the cargo hold. Buzz and Sunset bust through a pile of cargo, covered in Hornets. Mira come in as the two heroes topple into a pile of crates.
"Need a hand?" Mira asked while pointing laser at Hornets.
"No thanks." Sunset said as she knocks some Hornets away while Buzz spins more Hornets off himself.
"Everything's under control, Princess." Buzz said with a salute to Mira.
"Okay, my name's Mira." She said in irritation. "Could somebody PLEASE call me Mira?" Buzz looks up and sees something coming.
"Mira!"
"Thank-" But Buzz Buzz tackles Mira out of the way of a laser blast and flies with her to Twilight and Sunset's position. Warp comes from above, followed by a large robot with 8 arms.
"Hey, here's a weapon they don't issue you at Star Command." Warp said with a twisted grin on his face. Leo taking advantage of not being seen, lept to attack the robot. But the robot sensed him coming, grabbed him, and starts crushing him, making Leo scream.
"Threat neutralized." The robot said.
"Leo!" Sunset and Twilight shouted.
"Take a look guys, what do you think?" Warp asked.
"I thought the Galactic Alliance outlawed Octotrons." Mira said.
"They did." Buzz said before pointing at Warp "Warp, I'm adding possession of illegal warmachines to the charges against you!" Many Hornets and Beetles appear behind Warp.
"Don't leave out obliterating two Space Rangers and some bystanders, now!" The Octotron then tossed Leo aside and lept to the 4 other heroes, three of which braced for impact.
Twilight frowned, "No! I WON'T LET YOU HURT MY FRIENDS!" her magic reactivated in response to her feelings and used her telekinesis to hold the Octotron in the air. Buzz, Mira, and Sunset look up in surprise and Warp gasps.
"Mira, your Tangean mental powers amaze me." Buzz said in amazement.
"Uh, Buzz, that's not me." Mira said before pointing at Twilight. "I think it's her."
"I can explain." Sunset said. "Our magic comes from our geodes." Twilight then slams the Octotron on the ground destroying it.
"Threat Detected." The Octotron said as it shut down. Sunset, Mira and Buzz stand up.
"Those are some geodes." Buzz said as he and Mira aim wrist lasers at Warp and the Hornets while Twilight and Sunset draw their weapons.
"Hornets, hit them with everything you've got!" Warp commanded. All get ready to fire, but the rest of the Rainbooms come in to help out. Applejack smashed them with her super strength. Rainbow Dash left them spinning with her speed. Rarity reflected lasers with her crystal shield. Pinkie Pie blew them up with her cupcake bombs. And Fluttershy got a space animal to tear them apart. Meanwhile Twilight levitates Leo to her side as the Rainbooms join our 4 heroes.
"No, really, those are some geodes.” Buzz said in amazement.
"No wonder Zurg wants these girls." Mira said to Buzz, sharing his amazement.
"And if the dark team can't have them, there's no way we're going to let it fall in the hands of Star Command." Warp said before hitting a button on the wrist to speak into communicator. "Initiate base destruction, now!" He then launches off before the Rangers can catch him.
Back in the corridor, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey take out Hornets with their ninja skills. Casey Jones knocked Hornet heads off with his hockey sticks. Fugitoid blasted them with his blasters. April took them out with her telekinesis powers. XR is blasting at Beetles with multiple guns at once. Booster grabs one Hornet and uses it to beat the other Hornets. And the new Rangers blasted them with their lasers.
"Booster, XR, Team Lightspeed, do you read me?" Buzz said in the communicator.
"Yes sir!" Booster said.
"Yes!" XR said.
"Sir, yes sir!" Team Lightspeed said.
"Good, turn around." Buzz said "This baby's gonna blow in nanoseconds. Booster, XR, we need you to help us with this cargo."
"Can do!" Booster said before pressing the button on the suit and opening the jetpack.
"Roger!" XR said before doing the same thing.
"We'll help too." Sunset said before she and her friends went off.
"Rick Lightspeed, the safety of the Utroms is in your hands!" Buzz said
"You got it Buzz!" Rick said. Later, Rick Lightspeed and his team got most of the Utroms to an escape pod, but one was gripping a pole and screaming.
"WE'RE ALL GOING TO BE BLOWN TO ATOMS!" The Utrom screamed. Technoid tried to pull the Utrom off the pole.
"You've got a tight grip, haven't ya." He then pulled out a crowbar to pry him off. Outside the base everyone managed to escape to safety. Team Lightspeed is the last to walk out with the explosion happening right behind them.
"I'll tell you what, if I had thought of this crowbar beforehand we could have burned pieces, am I right?" Technoid asked.
"Well done, Rangers." Buzz said with a salute. "Not bad for your first mission."
"You okay, Leo?" Donnie asked who checked his arm.
"Yeah, but we'll need a place to hide for a while?" Leo said.
"No problem." Buzz said. "We got a good place for you to rest and hide for a while." Later, our heroes were taken for a wild ride on a large space shuttle.
"THIS! IS! AWESOME!!!!!" Rainbow Dash said with excitement. Before long, our heroes heard an incoming message.
"Calling Buzz Lightyear." said a well aged man on the screen who has medium tan skin, a large chin, and a large gray mustache, complete with gray eyebrows, and a thermal hood. "Commander Nebula to Buzz Lightyear."
"Lightyear, sir." Buzz said
"What's the mission status?" Nebula asked.
"Successful, sir." Rick Lightspeed said. "We managed to stop Darkmatter from completing his objective."
"And it seemed their power,which comes from their geodes, is quite impressive!" Lightyear said.
"Yeah, but why would they want our geode?" Twilight asked.
"For just one thing." Buzz said with seriousness in his eyes. "To take over the Galactic Alliance, and the universe."
"Yeah, basic galactic conqueror stuff." XR said.
"Alright, here's some big news." Nebula said. "Buzz, Admiral Supernova is coming in a few days for a very special mission! I want you to be ready for his arrival!"
"Wow, he sounds very important." Pinkie said to Mikey.
"I repeat: I want SPACE RANGER BEHAVIOR!" The commander shouted. "Nebula out."
"Space ranger behavior, huh?" Sunset asked.
"That's right, Miss Shimmer." Buzz said. "The Admiral accepts nothing less. It'll be a very important moment." The scene changes to a tower in a planet with red skies and factories all over. Zurg was talking to Warp about his mission.
"So let me get this straight, Darkmatter." Zurg said. "You had one of these girls in a cage."
"Yes, Evil Emperor Zurg!" Warp said with a bow.
"And she escaped without you knowing it." Zurg said waving his arms
"Uh, yes." Warp added.
"And then all 7 of them destroyed all of your hornets with their powers." He said as he stood up.
"Yes." Warp said disappointingly."
"Outstanding!" Zurg said in joy with his hands clenched.
"Don't you have a strict failure means death policy?" Warp said, a bit confused.
"Normally, yes. Today, no," Zurg said in short words.
"But, they just kicked our buts." Warp said.
"Well, of course he did, dipstick!" Zurg said in annoyance. "That was my plan! When I heard rumors of 7 teenagers with magical powers and ninja skills, I wanted to test them to see of the rumors were true. That's why I ordered YOU to attack. I wanted the girls to win. Because yes, I wanted to see their powers if their powers are as powerful as the rumors say."
"Well then you'll be happy to know their magic comes from their geodes." Warp explained. "Just give me another go and I can collect them for ya."
"Darkmatter, did you miss the part where I mentions they have ninja skills." Zurg said Dismissively. "For this, I'm assembling a team for you to lead. A team of the Galaxy’s most wanted consisting of foes Lightyear has met before, along with some new faces. Once I have the geodes, I will use them to power my newest super weapon! And who better to test it out on than Buzz Lightyear? Zurg then laughs evilly and then starts coughing. "Could I have a little water? Little water?" He then reaches off-screen and pulls back a glass of water." Thank you.
Soon our heroes arrive at a large space station shaped like two three-dimensional triangles wedged together at their bases. The ship they were riding soon entered the station through an entrance.
"Welcome to Star Command!" Buzz Lightyear said. The ship then lands on the landing a pad and everyone was brought out of the shuttle. Our heroes were in awe of the place. "Come on, we'll give you the grand tour. This is the Launch Bay, where all the ships used by Star Command are docked, serviced, and launched to the four corners of the cosmos."
"Wow!" Pinkie said in amazement. "How fast can these things go?"
"Faster than anything you can imagine, my friend." XR said. Soon they arrived at their first stop.
"This is the Briefing Room." Buzz said. "This is the room where Space Rangers get the information on important missions from Commander Nebula. The large table is centered in the middle of the room with many chairs. The room also contains a large window which overlooks Capital Planet." Rarity looked out one of the windows.
"Oh my!" Rarity said. "This view is fantastic!" Soon, our heroes stopped at another room.
"This is the Combat Control Center Escape Pod, the one room that can control and override all of Star Command's functions, as well as act like an escape pod from danger." Buzz said "For self-defense and combat, a user can release small blue Star Command logo-shaped laser drones."
"Why would you guys have that?" Twilight asked.
"Well, uh, it seemed like a good idea at the time." Buzz said, while blushing a bit before they came to their next stop. "Ahem, now this is our Locker Room, where Rangers come in to change in and out of their uniforms, and place their personal possessions inside their lockers."
"Cool, they look just like the lockers back at CHS!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Yeah, I guess they do." Sunset said in amazement. Our heroes then came to the next stop.
"These are the Lounge Rooms, where rangers can hang out and relax in these seating areas." Buzz explained. "There are couches, chairs and a few tables located in these areas. Vid-screens are available to them in case they want to watch something on the tube. If they want to gaze at the beauty of the stars, a large window or two is there for them to view through."
"I wonder if they show cartoons." Pinkie asked herself. She then caught up with the group as they stopped at the next room.
"This is the Maintenance Bay, where Star Cruisers are temporarily placed for maintenance to ensure they do not interfere with landings or take-offs in the Launch Bay." Buzz said.
"Man, this place makes a car repair shop look small!" Applejack said to herself before going with the others to their next stop.
"This is Mission Control, the main deck of Star Command." Buzz said "Here, we regulate traffic and give clearance to vessels launching out of the space station and vessels to and from the Galactic Alliance's territory."
"I must say, this is most impressive." Fugitoid said to himself for the stopped at a room full of stout creatures about 2-1/2 feet tall and lime green with three eyes, pointed ears, and a clubbed antenna protruding from the top of their head.
"This is the Science Bay, where the LGMs spend their time developing new weapons and technology." Buzz said.
"It's also where I get my repairs and upgrades." XR added. Donnie was starstruck with all the tech.
"It's like I died and gone to geek heaven!" He said before Twilight helped him catch with the group.
"This is the Training Deck, where the Space Rangers go to train and hone their fighting skills against a variety of obstacles, ranging from robots to lasers." Buzz explained.
"Well, we will need to hone our skills for the next time we meet Warp, or encounter Zurg." Leo said to himself before catching up with the others to the last stop on the tour.
"This is the Refuse Hatch, the one weak spot of Star Command as it can cause a chain reaction if it's being targeted." Buzz explained.
"But what are the odds of that happening?" XR asked. Everyone looked at XR as if he wanted an answer.
"Anyway, that's the tour." Buzz said. "The LGMs have prepared rooms for ou guys to move in and get comfy so you can rest." He then turned to Leo. "And we better get that arm of yours"
"Thanks, Buzz." Leo said. "And if you ever need us to go with you on a mission, we're at your service."
"Good to know, because we will need all the help to stop Zurg." Buzz said.
The next day, Rarity woke up and saw April looking out the window.
"It's a quite a view, isn't it?" April asked.
"Indeed it is." Rarity answered. "Makes you think about the meaning and purpose of life." Suddenly, Commander Nebula called them on the view screen.
"You two meet me and Mira in the Briefing Room!" He said.
"We're on it, Commander!" April and Rarity said with a salute. Later in the Briefing Room, Rairity and April sit with the Commander and Mira.
"Girls, there seems to a problem on my home planet, Tangea." Mira said with concerns.
"What's the problem?" Rairty asked. Commander Nebula show's a hologram of a woman with turquoise skin and blue eyes, wearing a pink bodice with matching high heels, gloves, A cape that accents her outfit, and a gem necklace that floats around her neck, and having an abnormally large cranium, which is almost reminiscent of a planet, given it has its own "planetary ring" and three floating spherical objects reminiscent of tiny moons that circle it.
"This is Gravitina." The Commander said. "Due to her abnormally large head, she is able to control gravity, even to the point of causing sunquakes and asteroid attacks upon celestial bodies. She can use gravity to make her enemies levitate in any direction she desires."
"And we just got word that she's in Tangea somewhere." Mira said. "That's why the three of us are going to Tangea to see if it's alright."
"Then what are we waiting for?" April asked. "Let's go to Tangea!" Soon after they got on a shuttle to go to Tangea. When they arrive the find a planet that's is lush and jungle-like, with waterfalls and beautiful flora, and floating cities, hovering over their lush environment.
"There's where I live." Mira said pointing to a palace before asking a question. "Say, have I ever told you about the first time I met Buzz?"
"No, but I have a feeling you're going to." Rarity said.
"It was some time ago." Mira said as a flashback showed a confrence in the throneroom. "During a confrence with some members of the Galactic Alliance and my father."
"Commerce, Tourism, Nightlife." a video announcer said. "Now more than ever, The Galactic Alliance is the choice for tomorrow!"
"So, uh King Nova, is Tangea ready to join The Galactic Alliance?" one of the members asked.
"Most certainly not!" King Nova said in disgust.
"Father, they're right!" Mira said. "Tangea needs to come out of it's shell and join the galactic community.
"Nonsense!" King Nova said. "I will not fraternize with lesser lifeforms."
"Your Highness." Buzz said as. "Listen to your daughter. Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger and head of security for this conference."
"Some sort of talking ape." King Nova said. "Does it do tricks."
"King Nova, Galactic Alliance membership garrentees safety from the Evil Emperor Zurg." Buzz said, which caused the king to laugh.
"Zurg, oh pish posh." He said. "We Tangeans are capable of defending ourselves, in ways your crude mind can not hope to grasp." All of a sudden there was a loud explosion, causing some debris to fall on Buzz. Then a giant hornet landed into the room, with Zurg entering on his hovercraft.
"Hello pathetic Tangeans!" Zurg said. "Meet my Hyper Hornet. He's like the regular hornets only bigger and eviler, or is it more evil, grammar's not really not my strong suit, but anyway, HYPER HORNET, REMOVE KING NOVA!" The Hyper Hornet then obeyed it's master.
"Daddy!" Mira said as the Hyper Hornet put King Nova in a secret compartment in it's abdoman. The members of the Royal Court were snickering, as if they knew something even Zurg didn't know about.
"What?" Zurg asked "What's with the chuckling? WHAT'S SO FUNNY?!?"
"Oh, a poor, undeveloped buffon like you wouldn't understand." One of the counselers said.
"We Tangeans can ghost through any solid object." added another counseler.
"I expect King Nova to bounce out of your so called 'Hyper Hornet' any moment now." the first one concluded. Ofcourse, Zurg knew that but he had to make sure.
"Did we count on that?" He asked a Grub
"Oh, yes my Evil Emperor." The Grub answered. "The Hyper Hornet is outfitted with an Anti-Tangean hull."
"HA!" Zurg said in confidence. "So who's the poor, undeveloped buffon now, huh?"
"That would be you, Zurg." Buzz said after blasting out of the debris and blasted a lazer at Zurg, who dodges it.
"Ahh!" Zurg Screamed "Hyper Hornet! Destroy Buzz Lightyear!" The Hyper Hornet obeyed his master's commands and fired a large laser as Buzz, who jumps out of the way, but the Hyper Hornet then fires three energy rings that ensnare hin instantly. When the Hyper Hornet tryed to step on him, Buzz moved out of the way and fired his laser at the Hyper Hornet
"Shoudn't we do something?" Mira asked while she and the counselers watched the battle.
"Right." One of the counselers said. "We'll immedietely, uh, form a committy to evaluate the situation." The counselers the left to do just that, much to Mira's annoyance.
"Actually, I had something a bit more proactive in mind." Mira said as the councelers left through the wall. "You know maybe we could fight or some- aw craters!"
"I heard that Mira!" The king said inside the Hyper Hornet. "No need for force language!"
"You can't keep this up Lightyear!" Zurg said after laughing. "My Hyper Hornet never tires!"
"Neither does justice." Buzz said before being punched by the Hyper Hornet so hard, he flew right out of the room. Mira jumped onto a hover craft and caught him while he was falling.
"Hi." Mira said. "Need a hand?"
"Thank you princess, you saved my life." Buzz replied.
"Well I had to." Mira said as they returned to the palace. "You're Tangea's only hope"
"Not nessasarally." Buzz said when they got back. "Your people really are capable of defending themselves, in ways my crude mind can not hope to grasp." Meanwhile the counselers were writing a letter of complaint to Zurg.
"Ahem, dear Zurg." one of the Councelers said. "We wish to register our displeasure with your occupation of our planet."
"Is displeasure too harsh." another one of the coucelers said.
"Yeah, I don't know if we can count on my people." Mira said in dissapointment.
"Well then, it's just you and me." Buzz said.
"Yeah, right!" Mira said before laughing.
"Something funny, princess?" Buzz asked, a bit confused.
"Oh you're serious." Mira said after she stopped laughing. "Um, I'm a princess, a-a-a PRINCESS! I don't know anything about fighting evil emperors!"
"Princess there's one thing I've learned on my adventures." Buzz said. "You never win, if you count the ways you'll lose." Mira laughed at that just a bit
"Yeah right. Oh your, ahem, serious again. Right." She said.
"Dead serious." Buzz said. Meanwhile, Zurg was trying the throne to see if it fits.
"Oh, no!" Zurg said "No, no! This just won't do! I'll need a new throne! And get me one of those vibrating lower back massager thingies."
"As you command, Evil Emperor Zurg!" One of the grubs said. But just as he was beginning to leave, he bumped into Princess Mira.
"Cancel that order." She said. "Father likes his throne just the way it is." Zurg, however, was not to impressed.
"Hyper Hornet, destroy the princess." He commanded. The Hyper Hornet did as he was told and fired a blased of energy, but Mira dodged it and fired her laser pistol at the chadelier which trapped the Hyper Hornet. Saticfied the went through the wall to escape.
"Stop her!" Zurg commanded. The Hyper Hornet broke free of his bindings and chased after her by breaking down the wall and fire his lasers at her.
"Now Buzz!" Mira said as Buzz pulled a long strip of fabric around the legs of the Hyper Hornet, causing it to call and come apart. He then pryed open the torso and pulled King Nova, who was unharmed, out in time to hug Mira.
"Tell my that crash was the sweet sound of evil triumphing!" Zurg said as he came in on his hover craft.
"That was the sweet sound of freedom." Buzz said as he pointed his laser at him. "Tangea's freedom."
"CURSE YOU, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!" Zurg said in rage.
"And..." Buzz started.
"Yes, yes, curse you too princess." Zurg said in irritation. Buzz gave Mira a thumbs up.
"Not long after that, Tangea joined The Galactic Alliance, and I joined Star Command." Mira said as she finished her story.
"Wow!" April said in amazement.
"Indeed, that story is incredible!" Rarity added.
"Thanks, girls." Mira said, with a bit of a blush, before shaking it off. "But back to the matter at hand." They soon landed on the palace, in front of the main entrance. They soon got inside the palace and saw that no one was around. Just then, a voice came out of some speakers that must have been added recently
"Come closer!" It said. Suddenly, it felt as if something was pulling them down the hall.
"Whoah!" They said as they arrived to the throne room, where Gravatina was seen sitting on the throne and wearing a strange but familliar looking helmet.
"Now you will surrender to me." She said with a grin.
"Hurghhh!" Rarity and April said.
"Ahhh!" Mira said
"I am Gravitina." Gravitina said. "The Mistress of Mass and all of its attraction. And... I welcome you to my summer house."
"Not gra-vi-ty!" Gravitina corrected. "Gra-vi-ti-na! Ugh! Why must the cute ones be such himbles? It is my power that threatens holds you."
"Your power?" April asked.
"My new improved gravatomic abilities." Gravitina answered.
"Oh, yeah, of course!" Mira said. "Gravatomic abili--ugh!"
"Before my upgrade, I could only re-orient gravity fields from close by, causing the target to fall up." Gravitina explained.
"Whoah!"
"Sideways."
"Whoaaaaaah!"
"And the ever-popular, if mundane, down."
"Ahh!" Rarity said. "Thank you..."
"But now, I can do that from a distance, as you have seen, and keep them where they are for long amounts of gime." Gravitina added as she lifted them up again. "But it's still simply mind-over-matter. Incredible, no?"
"No!" Mira said "What I find incredible is that you insist on continuing to using these powers for evil! Now where's my Father?"
"Try looking up." Gravitina said, pointing up. Our heroes looked up to see King Nova and his royal councel stuck on the ceiling.
"This is more humiliating than it looks." King Nova said.
"How are you doing this?" Mira said.
"That's for me to know, and for you to find out." Gravitina said, before a watch on her wrist went off. "Oops, look at this, visiting hours are over." She then sent our heroes back to the shuttle, and then off into space, causing then to be dizzy as their ship floated into space.
"Okay, that was unexpected." April said.
"Now what?" Rarity asked.
"Don't worry, there's one guy who can tell us what's going on." Mira said, before charting a course to another planet. Before long, our heroes arrived at a planet that looks very seedy and gritty. "Girls, welcome to Tradeworld, the criminal capital of the Gamma Quadrant. It's here where we will find our answers." Soon they found just the guy they were looking for. He has all the traits of a seedy, poor, and slick conman: his hair is slicked back, he walks with a hunch, whispers as often as possible, and has crooked, yellowed teeth. He appears to be a rodent-like being, as evinced by his naked tail and elongated ears and snout. As soon as he saw our heroes he ran for it. He hid in an alley, only to bump right into our heroes. "Crumford Lorak, just the infromant we've been looking for."
"Hey, hey, what do you want from me?" Crumford asked.
"Aw, come on Crumford." Mira said. "You know more about an evil plan then even the planner."
"So, as my friend Rainbow Dash would say, make like a glass of OJ and spill." Rarity added.
"Maybe I was told a few things, but nothing too important." Crumford said. Just then, Mira got a hand inside his head, much to his discomfort.
"Eww, really need to clean this mind out." Mira said.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Crumford said. "Alright, i'll talk! Just be careful, that's my brain and stuff!" She pull her hand out of his head.
"Okay, it's about Gravitina." April said. "She's got a helmet that increases her gravity powers. Where did she get it?"
"She got the helmet from Zurg." Crumford said. "But he got the technology from some weirdos from an unknown planet."
"Weirdos?" Rarity said. "Who are they?"
"Hmmm, I don't know if they gave me a company name, per say." Crumford said.
"Okay, one brain omelette, coming up." Mira said, getting Crumford said.
"They calls themselves the Kraang!" He said. "That's all I know!"
"The Kraang?!?!" Rarity said in shock.
"Figures those guys would be involved." April added. "How do we turn off her helmet?"
"Well, they said the helmet's power can overload and cause it to blow up if Gravitina gets angry enought." Crumford said.
"Aw, see?" Mira said. "That wasn't so hard. Okay girls, back to Tangea. We can work on a plan on the way." Soon our heroes returned to Tangea and have come up with a plan. But this time they went in the back which was the only place that didn't have surveillance devices all over it.
"Okay, now remember the plan." Mira said. "We have to make her mad enough to cause her helmet to overload."
"Okay, Mira!" April and Rarity said. They each then went into down a different hall to put their plan into action. Later in the throne room, Gravitina was sitting on the throne, filing her finger nails, when King Nova was ranting about his situation, as usual.
"This is an outrage!" He said. "You won't get away with this!"
"Huh, I wish I had a fortune everytime I heard that." Gravitina said. Just then she felt that something was going on. She decided to investigate the matter when Mira came up from behind her.
"Hey, Gravitina!" Mira said in a playful matter. "Good to see you again. Wanna play a game of tag." She then went through a wall.
"Okay, let's play." Gravitina said, before trying to use her gavity powers to bring her back, but April lifted her off her feet with her telepathy powers. "Are you seriously trying to hold me up?" She asked.
"No, just wanting to see how far you can fly." April said before tossing Gravitina down the hall like a baseball. At this point, Gravitina was getting miffed. Then, Rarity tapped her on the shoulder. "What do you want?" She asked.
"Oh, just want to see how you like this." Rarity said before using her geode powers to push her back the way she came. At this point, Gravitina got very, very upset.
"Alright, I'm getting annoyed by all of this!" Gravitina said. She was just about use her powers to bring the whole place down when Mira came back and tapped her on the shoulder. "Now what do you want?!"
"Just thought I'd see of your brain needs a good cleaning." Mira said before going inside Gravitina, who got very mad at this point. The helmet was starting to malfunction and break apart.
"Grrrrr, this is making me angry!" Gravitina said. "Get out of my body! I mean it!"
"I don't know." Mira said after poping her head out. "This place is pretty spacious." Gravitina got furious at this point. The helmet shut down and came apart, causing King Nova and the others to fall to the floor. Mira then got out of Gravitina, who collapsed in exaustion as April and Rarity joined her. They then went to see of the King or his councilers were damaged.
"Is everyone okay?" Mira asked.
"Yes, thank you Mira." King Nova said. They then went to arrest Gravitina, but she dissapeared.
"Where'd she go?" April asked.
"I don't know." Rarity said. "She was right there a minute ago."
"Well, we'll find her later." Mira said. "Let's call Commander Nebula and tell him Tangea is safe." Unknown to our heroes, Gravitina was taken to Planet Z, where she met Zurg at a computer.
"Did you get the information you wanted?" She asked.
"Indeed, Gravitina!" Zurg said with a cackle. "That helmet I gave you managed to scan Rarity's geode and it's abilities, and the we are replicating that power into my new hornets, the Magic Hornets!" He then presented the blueprints for the Magic Hornets, showing them as robotic magicians. "Now we just have to scan the rest of the geodes, harness their power into the Magic Hornets, and with it we can take over the entire galactic alliance! HAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
"Yes, but let's get to the matter of these new guys who'll be part of our little team." Gravitina said. "When are they going to show up?"
"Actually, one of them already arrived." Zurg said, while pointing behind Gravitina, who turned around and a huge reptilian creature.
"Who are you?" Gravitina asked, in kind of a lovestruck tone.
"Name's Reximus." The reptile man answered. "Troy Reximus. But you can call me a teammate."
The next day, Booster and Casey were watching Applejack show her strength to the LGMs.
"Oooh, strong!" The LGMs said.
"Thanks." Applejack said. "I've always been working out, even before I got this geode." Just then, there was a call on the intercom.
"Booster, Applejack, Casey Jones, get your seats over to the briefing room, PRONTO!!" Commander Nebula said. Everyone did as they did and came to the briefing room. He proceeded to then gave them mission by showing them an image of a male alien, large and broad-shouldered, possessing four arms, five eyes and two legs. He has three thick fingers on each hand and frond-like appendages on the top of his head. He possesses strips of brown facial hair just below his mouth, which might not even be hair. He is usually seen wearing his biker-like outfit, complete with red shirt and boots, and a long brown overcoat.
"Applejack, Jones, this is Torque, best known as the self replicating crook. He's called that because of a a cell-separation device on his chest, allowing him to self-replicate and produce countless identical clones. These clones, however, are unstable, and are easily destroyed by a single hit from any weapon. He was last seen near Jo-Ad."
"That's my home planet!" Booster said, a bit nervous. "I better go and see if everyone's okay, just in case."
"Good Idea, and take these two with you." Commander Nebula said, while pointing at Applejack and Casey. They soon got into the shuttle blasted off to Jo-Ad. Along the way, Booster told Casey and Applejack the story of how he met Buzz Lightyear.
"It's all started back when I was working in my family's farm." Booster said as a flashback showed Booster carrying a hover plow with not much effort. "I was working in the fields when I saw that one of my prize winning Totama plants sick."
"Hey there little fella" Past Booster said "What's got you feeling so bad." He opened it up and saw little bugs coming out. "Ahh! Tunnlemites! They attack from the inside. Don't worry. Everything's gonna be..." But before he could finish, he saw something zooming though the sky. "...Be alright?" The flying object zoomed past Booster and destroyed several farms before arms and legs sprouted out of the sides, making stand on the legs before Zurg came out from the bottom on a hovercraft.
"Mega-Hornet!" He said. "Smash that silo!" The Mega-Hornet did as he was told and smashed a nearby silo "Excillent! Now... smash that barn!" The Mega-Hornet did that as well, just after some citizens and the animals inside ran out in a panic. Booster then decided to give that guy a good talking to.
"Hey!" He said. "That was my uncle's farm! What do you think you're doing."
"Why, I'm taking over the Galactic Alliance!" Zurg answered. "By the by, feel free to grovel in terror before me."
"You know, this is Jo-Ad, Right?" Booster asked. "I mean, shouldn't you be trying to take over Capital Planet or something?"
"Yes, I know this is Jo-Ad!" Zurg answered. "Once my Mega-Hornet destroys this bread basket, famine will spread across the entire Galactic Alliance! That's a best case scenario, you understand, the price of food will go up and all-you-can-eat will become a thing of the past, uh, um, at the very least, there will be no dessert for anyone and staight to bed. Not as flashy maybe, but still evil"
"You're not trashing my planet, mister!" Booster said before the Mega Hornet grabs him with a giant fist and lifted it up to it's face, causing Booster to scream.
"What a country bumkin." Zurg said. "Who do you think you are? Buzz Lightyear?"
"No, that'd be me." A voice said as Buzz zooms in to save the day.
"Buzz Lightyear!" Booster said in awe.
"Zurg!" Buzz said. "Unhand that citizen!"
"Gladly." Zurg said with an evil grin before snapping his fingers, which caused the Mega-Hornet to drop Booster, so Buzz zoomed down to catch him.
"Gotcha." He said as he took Booster to safety.
"Buzz Lightyear?!?!" Booster asked in glee, while Buzz was straining to hold on to him "You're on my planet?! No way! I'm seeing it but I'm not beliving it! Buzz Lightyear save little old me!"
"Little?!?!" Buzz asked in shock.
"Mega-Hornet!" Zurg commanded. "Hit Lightyear with everything you've got!" The Mega-Hornet did as he was told and blasted the two of them with a lot of missles.
"Look out!" Booster said when he saw the missles, which made the two of them dodge them. The soon landed behind the plower. "Oh man, the Buzz Lightyear! This is so cool!" The Mega-Hornet then fired a blaster from the side of it's head as it walked on all fours. Buzz then fired back at it with acute accuracy. "So what's the plan Buzz?"
"Experience taught me that everything has a weakness." Buzz said. "We just need to find it." Just then Booster saw tunnlemites crawling into the hole.
"Wait!" He said. "Tunnlemites! They attack from the inside! We could do that!"
"Good Idea." Buzz said before holding out his hand. "What's your name, son?"
"Booster Sinclair Munchapper, sir!" Booster said as he shook Buzz's hand while crushing it accidentally.
"Well, Booster, you find a way inside that Mega-Hornet, and I'll distract Zurg." He commanded.
"Sir, yes, sir!" Booster said as Buzz flew off to distract Zurg.
"Hey, Zurg!" Buzz said in a taunting voice. "Catch me if you can!"
"Mock all you want, Lightyear!" Zurg said as he and the Mega-Hornet chased him. "But this time, I WILL PREVAIL!"
"Hot Rockets!" Booster said to himself as he got up onto the plow. "Buzz Lightyear and me in heated battle together! Who'd've thought?" He then turns it on the plow and charges it at full speed to the Mega-Hornet. The blades on the plow break through the hull of the Mega-Hornet, and makes a big hole on it's side. Buzz then sees the hole and goes in.
"Great job, Booster!" Buzz said when he got inside. "Now take out the Central Processing Computer!"
"You got it, Buzz!" Booster said before going to work, smashing up everything in sight. This caused the Mega-Hornet to start shutting down as our heroes made their daring escape. a few missles were launched randomly and nearly hit Zurg who dodged them as the Mega-Hornet collapsed into scrap, while our heroes landed safe and sound before it blew up.
"Hahahaha!" Buzz laughed. "Ya see, Booster, no matter how bad things may get, it's never hopeless."
"Dare, I say, CURSE YOU BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!" Zurg said in anger.
"And..." Buzz added.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." Zurg said to Booster.
"Booster." He said with a smile.
"Aw, nice to meet you, welcome aboard, AND CURSE YOU TOO, BOOSTER!" Zurg said before taking his leave.
"And the very next day I applied to the academy, and the rest is history." Booster said as he finished his story.
"Hold it." Applejack said in shock. "You were a farmer before Star Command?"
"Yes." Booster answered.
"Your among friends." Applejack said in joy. "I come from farm life myself. It's people like you and me who sees the most important: Family."
"Yeah, and eversince then, I owed Buzz a debt I could never repay." Booster said, unaware of two things. One, that during the whole trip, Booster had his elbow on a button that linked to the ship communicaters that let Space Rangers contact Star Command. And two, Buzz overheard the whole thing, including the part about Booster's debt, and doesn't feel right about it. Back on the ship, Booster takes his elbow off the button and holds his head with his hands. "But you know, sometimes I feel like I'm letting my family down. They're on the farm and I'm here."
"That's stinken thinkin!" Applejack said. "Your intergalactic police officer. They gotta be proud of you."
"And you bring in criminals on a regular basis." Casey added "No way they wouldn't have clippings of your accomplishments gathered together."
"Thanks guys." Booster said, feeling better. They soon arive on Jo-Ad and land on the planet's surface. They soon discover all of it's inhabitants, dressed in beach clothes, partying like there's no tomorrow. This made them confused, yes, very confused indeed. Booster soon got the attention of one of the inhabitants. "What's going on here?"
"We're on vacation dudes!" The local said.
"But Jo-Adians don't get vacations, do they?" Applejack said. Booster just shrugged his shoulders.
"Hey, you don't get a vacation dudette!" Another local said. "You take a vacation!"
"This has gotta be Torque's handywork." Booster said.
"We have to find him and stop him." Casey added. They soon find Torque relaxing on a foldable chair. He was drinking fruit punch in a glass with a small umbrella. They decided to maintain the element of suprise and sneak up behind him. Just when they thought they'd get the drop on him, they were blasted from behind by a blast of plasma. They turned around and are suprised to see Torque standing right behind them.
"What's shaking, baby?" He asked with a cruel grin. "Did you really think it would be that easy?"
"What!" Applejack said in shock, then she remembered something. "Oh, yeah, you're self-replicating."
"You better believe it baby!" a clone of Torque said from behind a tree, much to the shock of our heroes. "But now my cloning abilities are bigger then ever."
"Thanks to this new and improved version of my replicating device, I pop up from anywhere." Another clone said from behind a silo.
"At anytime." Said another just coming out from the outer field yards. more clones came out of hiding before our heroes were surrounded by an army of them.
"Whoa nelly!" Applejack said, nervously. She then shook her nerves off as she prepared for battle. It was a long, gruling battle, but they managed to beat all but 10 of the Torque clones and the original. They went to take cover behind one of the silos. "So, how'd you managed to turn the Jo-Adians into party animals?" Applejack said, hoping that he might provide an answer.
"This new self-replicating tech emits an energy that effects brainwaves, making anyone think they're on vacation, baby cakes." Torque said with a big, crooked smile.
"But what of the crops!?" Applejack asked in pure frustration. "Have you thought of that?"
"Not my concern." Torque said while shrugging his shoulders, before motioning to his clones to go around and take them by suprise. "My mission was to bag you, not to worry about the ecosystem here."
"Ya know, it's people like you that give us hard workers a hard time." Applejack replied, only for the Torque clones to grab her and the others from behind. 2 of them held Applejack and Casey's hands behind them and the other 8 pinned Booster down. The original Torque then approach our heroes with a crooked grin.
"And it's people like you and Gabby Mctwoteeth that tend to bore the galaxy." He said to Applejack before spiting at her. This made Booster mad.
"THAT'S IT!" He said before breaking free of the clones and standing infront of Torque. "Mess with me, I don't mind. Mess with my new friends, you get a black eye." And with that thought, Booster punches Torque so hard, he flies into a silo, breaking his self replicating machine, making all the Torque clones disappear, and causing all the local Jo-Adians to stop dancing. Soon, the athourities took Torque away, who was still recovering from the punch he got from Booster.
"Hey Big Boy, that's some right hook the five of you have." He said dizzily as he was being loaded on the prison ship. Buzz was there to oversee to the transport, but needed to talk to Booster.
"Booster, I wanna talk with you." He said. "Were you aware that you had the communicator on?"
"Uh, no." Booster said, a bit embarrassed. "You heard all that?"
"You don't owe me any debt." Buzz assured him. "Booster, you saved my life and the team's more than enough times to repay 20 debts. I saved your family's farm because it's the right thing, not for any lousey debts."
"Thanks, Buzz." Booster said before shaking Buzz's hand. Meanwhile, on Planet Z, Zurg is laughing at the new pools of information that Torque's tech gathered from Applejack.
"Excellent!" Zurg said to one of his brainpods. "Torque has obtained all the information we need from that counrty bumpkin. Now my Magic Hornets will have the strength to crush their foes."
"Don't worry Brainpod 29." Zurg said with a grin. "I'll have someone break him out. Someone flexible and adaptable." Just then, a being that looks like a 1930s cartoon popped out from inside a crate.
"Did someone say flexible and adaptable?" He asked in glee.
"Who, or what, are you?" Brainpod 29 asked in shock.
"I'm Squash N. Stretch." The strange being said before coming out of the crate. "And I assume you want me to bust Torque out of jail?"
"That's correct." Zurg said before cackleing again.
The next day, Twilight and Donnie were walking down the hall talking about the mission that Booster, Applejack, and Casey Jones went on.
"Isn't it nice for Booster's parents to make him a scrapbook showing all of his adventures?" Twilight asked.
"Ineed." Donnie answered. "Makes anyone lucky to be part of such a loving family." Just then, Commander Nebula called on the screen.
"You two, meet me in the meeting room." He said. When they arrived, they were shown a villain who's body is composed of sharp corners; pointed shoulders, taloned claws, and a body that ends in a sharp point. His head, resembling an upside-down triangle, sports a simple orange-colored right optic and a monocle-shaped left optic. His tongue is long and occasionally ends in a forked tip, and he possesses four fangs that are similar to drills to feed with.
"This is NOS-4-A2." Commander Nebula said. "He's a a robotic energy vampire originally created by the Evil Emperor Zurg to take over Star Command. Over time, he became one of Team Lightyear's main adversaries. After a failed attempt to take over Planet Z, NOS-4-A2 was ultimately defeated and destroyed by Ranger Ty Parsec. But we have seen sighting of him on Tradeworld lately. You two will go with XR to check it out."
"And where is XR?" Twilight asked.
"Hiding in this box." The commander said before putting a box on the table with XR indeed hiding inside.
"Dare I ask, why?" Donnie asked.
"Well, you see, XR's kinda had some bad history with NOS-4-A2." Commander Nebula said. He then explained about the time NOS-4-A2 used him as a robo puppet to destroy Star Command.
"Yeesh!" Twilight said. "That must have been rough having that Vampire control you."
"You have no idea." XR replied from inside the box.
"Sounds as bad as when me and Raph were vampires." Donnie added. "But don't worry, I'm sure we can handle it." So XR reluctently went with then to the shuttle. Along the way, XR thought that he'd calm his nerves by telling Twilight and Donnie how he met Buzz.
"I can still remember they we met like it was yesterday." He began. "Buzz was called to the science bay by the the some of the LGMs" The scene then changed to that fateful day.
"What's up, fellas?" Buzz asked.
"We heard about your fight with Commander Nebula." One of the LGMs said
"Now, it wasn't a fight." Buzz replied in dissagreement. "It was just a professional disagreement. And in time, he'll admit that I'm better off alone."
"We have solved your partner problem!" The LGM leader said in glee
"Not you guys too!" Buzz said in disbelief. "Look, I can't have a "partner problem" because I don't have a partner!"
"But XR is perfect for you." The LGM leader said as he and the others hung their heads in sadness
"XR?" Buzz asked in curiosity. "Who's XR?"
"Yes!" The LGMs said quietly, meaning that they knew he would asked. They then turn around the lights dim down and the camera flies over to two LGMs standing under a spotlight, in front of a garage door.
"Not "who"." One of the LGMs said "What.
"Witness the future of space justice!" The other LGM said.
"XR!"
"The experimental ranger!" The two LGMs walk off the stage and smoke comes out as the door opens. The camera then focuses on XR's Star Command logo on his chest. Then in another shot, we see a close-up of his green eyes as they light up with yellow lights. The final camera shot reveals his wheels for feet, then the camera slowly rises until we see his face.
"XR, reporting for duty." He said in a robotic voice. XR then moved forward as the lights come back on.
"Kind of short, isn't he?" Buzz asked. An LGM starts comparing his size to XR by putting his hand over his head.
"Hmm." He said. "Do you think so?"
"That little robot wouldn't stand a chance against Zurg's forces of evil." Buzz said, unimpressed
"Watch." The LGMs said in unison. A couple LGMs pull out blasters and violently shoot XR until he's in pieces. Just then, a car crusher crushes XR's parts except for one arm, which gets stomped on by an LGM riding a robo-walker.
"You're, uh... going somewhere with this?" Buzz asked, hoping for a little more. The LGMs assemble and fix XR from the ground up in seconds flat. XR's helmet sparkles and shines and he makes a whirring sound.
"If Zurg blows up XR..." One of the LGMs started.
"We can put him back together!" The other LMGs finished in unison.
"And Commander Nebula approved a robot ranger?" He then gets a closer look at XR before giving a obvious statement. "He hates robots." The LGMs then look at each other with mischief in their eyes.
"Well, he doesn't exactly know." One of them said.
"He does now!" Commander Nebula said angerly, scaring the little green guys. "Hmph!" He then walked down the stairs to them.
"Oh..." They said as they stood infront of XR "Hello, Commander!"
"So, you went ahead and built that expendable ranger." Commander Nebula said in irritation
"Uh, "experimental" ranger." One of the LGMs said to correct the commander.
"UNAUTHORIZED RANGER!" He yelled
"Uh..." One of the LGMs chuckled nervously as he handed Commander Nebula a clipboard with the authorization papers on it. "well, technically, it was authorized... by you. We slipped it in with our vacation request."
"Craters." Commander Nebula said in irritation. "They always get me that way. I keep telling them, no bucket of bolts can stand up to a real ranger."
"He's got you there, fellas." Buzz added.
"We thought of that." The LGM leader said as he pressed a button on a remote that makes XR's circuit chip pop up from the top of his head. "Artificial Intelligence Chip. XR is programmed to watch and learn."
"And he'll be learning from the best." Another one of the LGMs said as he nudged Buzz's leg. "You."
"True." Buzz said while crossing his arms as XR came up to him. "But, uh... I don't know."
XR then crosses his arms in the same manner. "I don't know." But the LGMs are insistent
"At least give him a test run as your new partner." One of them said, making Commander Nebula quite mad
"Lightyear, I already told you!" He said. "Ranger Nova is your new partner!"
"Why won't anybody listen to me!?" Buzz, about ready to blow his top. "NO! MORE! PARTNERS!"
"But, Buzz!" Suddenly the LGMs froze and their antennas started wiggling.
"What's eatin' them?" Commander Nebula asked.
"I've seen this before." Buzz said. "It's the "Mind Link"."
"Evil!" They all said in unison, and Buzz knew what that ment.
"Zurg." He said as the LGMs gasped in fear.
"His dark forces invade our home world!" They all said in fear
"I'm on my way!" Buzz said as he marched out of the Science Bay.
"I'm on my way." XR said, repeating Buzz's words. Buzz's rocket blasts off into space. In one shot the rocket flies towards the screen where we cut to inside the shuttle where Buzz opens his wrist communicator and talks into it.
"Buzz Lightyear mission log." He began. "Zurg's shadow looms overhe..." He then turns to XR talking from behind him.
"Buzz Lightyear mission log. Zurg's shadow looms over the..." He then turned to Buzz
"Could you not do that?" Buzz said.
"Could you not do that?" XR repeated. The ship then blasted into hyperdrive and flies off to the LGM homeworld.
"So what happened?" Donnie asked.
"Well, basically, Warp Darkmatter kinda blew me up and stole something from the LGMs." XR said. "The LGMs fix me up and the two of us along with Mira and Booster to stop Zurg from mind controlling everyone. Ever since then, Buzz and Warp have kinda been duking it out everytime they meet." This made the two of them shocked.
"Wow!" Donnie said. "I not sure wether or not I'm sorry I asked."
"So, what happened between Buzz and that Warp creep?" Twilight asked. XR was hesitant to answer.
"Well, none of us like to talk about it much cause it's kinda upsetting to Buzz." XR said. The three of them soon arrived TradeWorld. This planet is heavily loaded in technology, with more machines then organics.
"Okay, we should stick together." Twilight said. "This NOS-4-A2 guy could be anywhere." Perhaps she was right, for looking from the shadows, NOS-4-A2 was watching them from above, now outfitted with some new tools.
"Mmmmm, my favorite after dinner mint." He said, eyeing XR. "Ranger in a can. I'll" Soon our heroes get tuckered out from searching for their Robo-vampiric foe.
"Well, I'm worn out." Donnie said. "So far there's been no sign of NOS-4-A2."
"Good, then let's go home and say we tried." XR said with his knees knocking.
"Come on XR." Twilight said. "There comes a time when you have to face your fears and conquer them."
"Yeah, that's easy for you say!" XR said. "You've never faced any one like NOS-4-A2!"
"Actually, I have." Twilight said. "Some time ago, I tapped into magic during the Friendship Games and turned into Midnight Sparkle. My friends helped bring me back, but I've been scared using magic again. Then, I've had these dreams lately about myself as Midnight Sparkle. I dreamt about becoming her again and hurt all those I care about. The girls, the turtles, everyone that I cared about."
"And how did you conquer your fears?" XR asked.
"I had my friends to help me" Twilight said. "And now you have help from us. We can help with you to conquer your fear."
XR knew that she was right. He had lived in fear of NOS-4-A2 for too long. It was time to finish this once and for all. "Alright!" He said. "Let's get started!" They then begin a training montage while they set up a trap to have the advantage made of several items, including a canister of acid. As XR trains himself for the fight against NOS-4-A2, he remembers all that that Energy Vampire has done: Turned him into a zombie to use against his friends & destroy Star Command, endanger innocent people and robots through out the galaxy, hurt Savy's parents by draining their energy, particularly made a Robot graveyard on Tradeworld and turning his victims into his army, and tricked his brother XL into kidnapping Ty Parsec so they can use him to turn everyone into Wire-wolves to feed NOS-4-A2's hunger. He knew that tonight, they had to face NOS-4-A2 one on one. He knew that he had to end his reign of terror, once and for all. Soon, both XR and the trap were ready, and just in time. NOS-4-A2 was sighted at the power station nearby, and out heroes would have to lead him here for the trap to work. So they went to the power station. They see that him feeding on the power core.
"Ok, you guys get the trap ready." XR said. "I'll lure him to you guys." Twilight and Donnie nodded before heading off. He then turned to NOS-4-A2. "Hey, Fangface!" The energy vampire turned around and saw the robot ranger as he ran away.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite snake." He said before chasing after him. They went through many twists and turns, but XR soon arrived at the area where he and the others set up the trap. NOS-4-A2 arrived soon afterward.
"What's the matter, little one?" He said. "Tired of running?"
"Nope." XR said with a grin. "Just waiting for you to catch up." He then started blasting at the energy vampire, while avoiding his fangs and claws. Then Twilight stopped him dead in his tracks with her magic.
"About time you were disarmed." She said before ripping one of the energy vampire's arms off. He howled in pain from the amputation. Donnie then set up the canister of acid, which is disguised as a robot, before turning to the fight
"Hey ugly!" He said. "Take a bite out of this." He then throws the decoy robot. NOS-4-A2 fell for Donnie's trick and bites into the canister of acid which burns through his fangs. With the vampire robot disarmed and fangless, XR rushes in to finish the battle.
"Hey Scumrat" He said "This is for Savy SL2!" He then throws a punch so hard, NOS-4-2A's big eye starts to crack and shatters to pieces, causing him to scream in agony. Soon, the space rangers take the robot vampire off to jail crying out in pain.
"IT HURTS!" He screamed as they loaded him onto the ship. "IT HURTS!" Buzz then went to the team.
"Nice going team." Buzz said. "You've bagged NOS-4-A2 and saved trade world from getting a total black out."
"Well, it was XR who came up with the idea." Donnie said.
"Yeah, great job XR!" Twilight said. "Way to conquer your fears."
"I had some help from good friends." XR said confidently.
"Anyway, the commander just got a message from the admiral." Buzz said. "The admiral said that he'll be coming tomorrow, and that he will need to meet a Salamandrian for something important."
"A Salamandrian?" Twilight said. "One of our friends is a Salamandrian."
"Wait, what?" Buzz asked in amazment. "Star Command have been trying to find the Salamandrian homeworld to send recruiters for years and you're telling us you know one?!"
"Sure." Donnie said. "Infact, she happens to be Raph's girlfriend. And fortunely, we have a way to call her." And soon, the call was made and using teleportation technology, Mona Lisa presented herself to the group.
"Greetings, I am Y'Gythgba or Mona Lisa." She said. "Lieutenant of the Salamandrian forces, member of the Mighty Mutanimals, and future friend to you all."
"I like this one." Booster said. Meanwhile on Planet Z, Zurg was pleased with the progress of his magical hornets.
"Excellent, excellent!" He said. "These new Magic Hornets are progessing quite well. Now if only NOS-4-A2 wasn't so incompetent to let himself get caught."
"Maybe I can bring him back." As stranger said in the shadows. He stepped out to revealed to be a humanoid insect with gadgets on his wrists that look as if they could spew flames out. "After all, who knows about jailbreaks better then me, Scorch Bugg."
"Who indeed." Zurg asked as he laughed maniacally.
A few days later, Buzz was having lunch with Sunset and Fugitoid. Buzz had a fine steak with mashed potatoes, Sunset had Spaghetti with breadsticks and a salad, and thanks to the LGMS installing an electronic digestive system into him, Fugitoid was enjoying a fine tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
"Enjoying your food, Fugitoid?" Sunset asked.
"Oh, yes I am!" Fugitoid answered. "It does feel good to eat again! I must thank the LGMs for my new digestive system."
"Well, they're just doing their job." Buzz said. And as if on cue, Commander Nebula calls in as our heroes finish lunch.
"Lightyear, Shimmer, Honeycutt!" He said. "You're heading to Capital Planet! I'll send you a picture of who you're after on 42." And when they came in, they were shown a picture of some who looks exactly like Buzz Lightyear in every way, except for having facial hair colored dark blue. He wears armor similar to Zurg's, but with pants and without a cape, and the letter L in the center of his chest instead of Z.
"Is that your evil twin, Buzz?" Sunset asked.
"Kinda, yeah." Buzz said. "He's from a universe where I'm evil."
"So, if that's the Evil you, then where's the Zurg from his reality?" Fugitoid asked.
"He's, uh, in the fast food industry." Buzz said.
"Yeesh." Sunset said.
"Anyway, here's what happened." Buzz said "When one of Zurg's brain pods opened a portal to the alternate universe, the evil me came back through with Zurg and they attempted to destroy Star Command while I face the people he's hurt. However, their plan were foiled by me. Sometime later, it is revealed while drifting in space that he has teamed up with Gravitina. She initially mistook him for me, though realized otherwise, and was pleased to find a Buzz that was already evil. The pair constructed a heat-proof base just above the sun's surface, from which to use Gravitina's powers to shoot solar flares at Star Command, Capital Planet, and wherever else they feel like. Mira and I set the station to fall into the sun, and my evil version makes a run for his ship, preparing to abandon Gravitina along with Buzz and Mira. Before he can, however, the floor splits under him, and he falls into the sun. He should presumably die as a result, but in the end, he somehow escaped, although how he achieved that isn't explained, and he isn't seen again afterward. Because of this, however, it can be assumed that he survived somehow."
"It had to have been awful seeing the horror your Evil counterpart did." Fugitoid said
"Not as bad as what he did to my team's counterparts." Buzz replied
"Buzz, I understand how you feel, but that's not you." Sunset said "Everything he did was something you know you'd never do."
"I know, but I hoped that there was some form of good in him." Buzz said. "He reminded me too much of Warp."
"What happened between you two anyway?" Fugitoid said.
"Well, it kind of a long story." Buzz said. "Back in the day, we used to be partners. We both work out of Star Command's Universe Protection Unit. At 0800 hours, the report came in. Three LGMs were reported missing and Warp and I were sent to search for them on a moon. We soon found one of Zurg's secret bases and found our way in." The scene changed to show Zurg interrogating 3 LGMS.
"Tell me your mind link!" He said. "Tell me your secret!"
"Never!" The LGMs replied
"Oh?" Zurg said. "Then I'll just have to pick your brains. Hahahahahahaha! Where's my Cranial Dissect-a-bot?" Zurg evilly laughs as the Dissect-a-bot appears and is about to drill their heads, but fortunately, a laser beam blows it up. "Whoa!" The LGMs screamed but then opened their eyes to see someone
"Ooh." They said Zurg turned to see Buzz jumping out of the doorway, doing a flip and landing while pointing his wrist at Zurg.
"Ah, Lightyear." He said
"Evil Emperor Zurg, by the authority of the Galactic Alliance, you are hereby charged for dissection of Star Command personnel." Buzz said
"I shall destroy your Galactic Alliance." Zurg replied before he pressed his emblem. "But first, I shall destroy you! Well, not personally. Hornets, destroy Buzz Lightyear!" Hornets fall from the ceiling as Zurg talks. The Hornets stand up as they transform and have their arms morph into machine guns. Then they start shooting all over the room. Buzz tries shooting a few off-screen Hornets, and as the battle rages on, Zurg gets onto a platform in the center of the room. "Prepare to die, Buzz Lightyear!" The platform takes off and Zurg gets away.
"Not today, Zurg!" Buzz said as he continues shooting. Although Zurg reaches the black hole in the ceiling, Buzz still frees the missing Little Green Men with his laser. Dodge rolls to the missing LGMs and activates his jetpack "Hop on!" The missing LGMs jumped on Buzz's wings and rode on Buzz as he flew around the room shooting the Hornets. The LGMs screamed as they fly at high speed. One Hornet manages to shoot an LGM off, but Buzz flies down and catches it. Warp then rode Zurg's platform down and crushes four Hornets underneath.
"Backup?" He asked with a smirk. Buzz flew down and deactivated his jetpack when he landed.
"Always a pleasure." Buzz answered "Let's go after Zurg!"
"Not today, Lightyear!" Zurg said on a TV screen "For I started the self-destruct sequence on my way out. It is a moon of doom now."
"Self-destruct in 60 seconds." A P.A. said.
"60 seconds?" Buzz asked.
"All the time in the world." Warp remarked Zurg's Hornets begin blasting again.
"Uh-oh!" The LGMs said as Buzz and Warp continue shooting as well.
"Get to the ship, blast off!" Buzz said to the LGMs
"But Buzz!" They said.
"That's an order!" Buzz added "We'll meet you in orbit!" Without hesitation, all 6 LGMs evacuate and head back to the ship as ordered.
"Self-destruct in 45 seconds." The P.A. said.
"Farewell, Lightyear!" Zurg said on the screen. "This time you shall not escape!" As Zurg evilly laughs, Buzz blasts the TVs with his laser, cutting off Zurg's evil laugh and taunt.
"Just watch me, Zurg!" Buzz said as he and Warp continue shooting the Hornets, and one of them actually damages the power supply, causing the hideout to start burning. A few firework whistles are heard as the room starts to collapse. Buzz jumps out of the way of one explosion and blasts a falling pillar with his laser. "Come on, Warp! It's time to blow this rock!" He then opened his jetpack, but doesn't take off just yet. As Buzz searches for Warp, he hears Warp's grunt of pain. The camera reveals he's been crushed by the debris and Buzz tries to get Warp out by lifting up the debris.
"Self-destruct in ten [10] seconds." The P.A. said.
"Get out of here!" Warp said.
"No!" Buzz said as he tried to pull Warp out of the debris.
"Let go!"
"We're partners!"
"Self-destruct in five..." The P.A. said.
"I said "go"!" Warp then slamed the jetpack button on Buzz's suit and watches him blast into orbit.
"WARP!" Buzz said as he flew up. He then tried to fly back to Warp as time runs out. Warp gives a farewell grin as Buzz flies to him, knowing he'll be too late as the P.A. finished counting down.
"Four, three, two, one."
Buzz then stoped flying and flinched at the explosion down below. Buzz's shadow was seen as the moon exploded, and became a cloud of smoke.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Sunset said in shock. "If that happened, then how did he survive?"
"That's what I asked myself when we met again on Planet Z." Buzz said as the scene changed again, this time at the moment when Buzz waking up after being knocked out with Warp aiming his blaster at him.
"Surprised?" He asked as the hornets got Buzz on his feet
"You're alive?" Buzz asked before looking at his hands "Or am I dead?"
"No, you're not dead." Warp answered. "Not yet anyway."
"But how?" Buzz asked in disbelief.
"The exploding moon." Warp answered "Convincing, wasn't it? Yeah, Zurg's fireworks are really top-shelf."
"But, Warp..." Buzz began before Warp aimed his robot arm at Buzz.
"Ah." Warp said. "Agent Z, please."
"Oh, of course!" Buzz said. "Amnesia!"
"No." Warp said. Buzz then came up with other explainations.
"Evil clone."
"No."
"Android replica."
"No!" Now at this point, Buzz was running out of ideas for what happened to Warp during the explosion at the moon
"Okay, okay, it's so obvious!" Buzz said, facepalming himself. "Zurg's mind-control ray! He got to you first."
"Actually, I went to him." Warp said as he went to sit on a seat nearby. "Evil is just so much more profitable than good. And more fun. What do you think?"
"I don't believe it." Buzz said. "The Warp Darkmatter I trained side-by-side with would not work for the most evil force in the universe!"
"Look, Lightyear, I've been on Zurg's payroll ever since the Academy." Warp explained. "Once I got the LGMs to spill the secret of the Uni-Mind, the Big Z brought me on full-time. My name's Darkmatter. Who's surprised here?"
"One of Star Command's finest." Buzz said in disgust. "The perfect spy. And I gave you a really nice eulogy." as he spoke, Zurg rose from behind Buzz, standing on a rocket-powered throne.
"'He was not only a great ranger, but a great friend.'" He said before evilly laughing as he walked off his throne. "Oh, what a hoot! If only you knew!" Zurg then pushed a button that makes a triangular TV rise from under the floor. On the screen, we see reused footage from a funeral with Buzz giving his eulogy.
"I..." Buzz began before hanging his head in sadness. "Miss him very much."
"Oh, one more time!" Zurg said before he rewound the scene with the "REWIND" button on the TV remote and pressed the "PLAY" button.
"I..." Buzz began before hanging his head in sadness. "Miss him very much."Zurg laughs as he turns off the TV and makes it sink back into the floor.
"Miss him now!?" Zurg asked as he continued laughing. This made Buzz quite mad as he brok
"Stop mocking me!" He said when he broke free from the two Hornets, only for them to grab and electrocute him.
"I'll admit that in the past, you've been a most formidable foe." Zurg said to Buzz's face. "But since you "lost" your dear partner, you have been off your game."
"Buzz Lightyear may end today." Buzz said as he got up to his feet. "But what I believe in will live on. Hope, freedom, and justice." At those three words, Zurg laughs at him, whereas Warp just shakes his head in disapproval.
"Oh, that's rich!" Zurg said. "Oh, please, please tell me you got that." He said yo three Grubs. One recording with a camera, one holding a clapperboard, and one working a camera crane.
"Got it!" One of them said.
"Excellent!" Zurg said. "Add it to my collection." He then turned to Buzz "Besides, Mr. Melodrama, I'm not going to kill you. No. No, I have a much more delicious idea. I'm going to take the galaxy's greatest hero, and turn him... into... me."
"So, what happened after that?" Sunset asked.
"Well, Mira, Booster, and XR saved my life, we stopped Zurg and got the galaxy back to normal." Buzz answered.
"I still can't believe that Warp would betray you like that!" Fugitoid said in shock.
"Yes, but I know that someday, Warp will renounce his evil ways, and return to Star Command." Buzz said. Soon our heroes arrive at Capital Planet, and began their search for the Buzz's evil version. They didn't find anything, until they recived word of a hostage situation going on in an abandoned warehouse. They knew that it could only be Buzz's evil counterpart. So they went there to investigate, but knew that he might be expecting them, so they came up with a top secret plan before spliting up. Buzz then walked down a long dark hallway before noticing a light in the next room. He then walked in to see Evil Buzz sitting down on a chair.
"Hello, Lightyear." He said. "It's good to see me again."
"To bad the feeling isn't neutral." Buzz said. "I'm here to take you in."
"Good thing I have a hostage." Evil Buzz moves aside to reveal to have Savy SL2 chained up to a chair, gagged, and at ion cannon.
"What do you want?" Buzz asked, knowing that he can't risk Savy's life.
"Just a one on one match between you and me." Evil Buzz answered. "You know, for old time sake."
"Why not." Evil Buzz replied. The two men soon went into a room with several empty crates all over the place. They removed all their weapons from them before taking laser swords that kinda look like samurai katanas. "Now which everone of us can make the other unable to fight wins. Sound fair?"
"About as fair as it can get with you." Buzz said. "But yeah, let's do it." The two of them then began their epic match unlike any that they had before. Buzz was fighting for honor, Justice, and the lives of those he cares about, while his evil twin fought for only power and revenge. Sparks flew as the two of them clashed swords and they jumped around. But unknown to Evil Buzz, Sunset and Fugitoid were hiding in the shadows, setting up a trap that involved an electronic stun net, for that was their top secret plan to stop the Buzz's evil counterpart. Eventually, the Evil Buzz mananged to get Buzz cornered.
"Looks like I have the advantage over my look-a-like." Evil Buzz said with an evil grin.
"You may look like me, but I have something you never had." Buzz said.
"What's that?" Evil Buzz asked.
"Friends!" Buzz said before looking up. "Now!" Sunset and Fugitoid then threw the stun-net over Evil Buzz, stunning him from the neck down.
(Pause at 2:19)
"But how?" Evil Buzz asked in shock.
"You thought you had the advantage, but all you had was a target on your back." Sunset explained.
"As long as we stand together as friends, we can handle anything." Fugitoid added. The Evil Buzz then passed out from exaustion
"So what are we gonna do with him?" Sunset asked.
"I'll arrange a transport to send him back to where he belongs." Buzz said. "And I'll have something else to go along with him going to jail."
"What?" Sunset asked again.
"Anyone have a razor?" Buzz said with a grin. Soon, the hostages, including Savy SL2, were safe and sound and back with their loved ones, but while our heroes celebrate their victory, The Magic Hornets become more powerful much to the satifaction of Zurg.
The next day, Fluttershy, Shini, and Mina were enjoying a nice quiet morning in Fluttershy's room.
"What a beautiful morning." Mina said.
"I feel as if today will be a good day." Fluttershy added.
"One that's just as full of suprises as yesterday." Shini finished. "I'm impressed that April managed to catch up with Gravitina and give her a headache. That was fun to see." Just then, they heard a voice on the intercom.
"Fluttershy, Shini, and Mina to the briefing room please." It said. The three girls then met Commander Nebula and Team Lightyear in the briefing room, who explained explained the situation to them. Apperantly, some space rangers were helping Dr. Osma patrol the planet of Karn when they were attacked by something big, green and furious, following a meteor shower that entered tha planet's atmosphere.
"The three of you are to investigate this big, green and furious thing while Team Lightyear checks out the meteors."
"Well, you guys have fun on Planet Death." XR said as he began to leave. "If you need me, I'll be on Muhambus Vl."
"Right behind you, Amigo." Booster said following XR.
"Nice try, you two are coming too." Mira said.
"That's right." Buzz added. "Anyway, while we go prepare the shuttle, you three go to the library down on Capital Planet and stock up on the wild life of Karn." Fluttershy, Shini, and Mina nodded. And when they went to the library, they were suprised to learn that there was an entire section based on Karn wildlife.
"My, there sure are a lot of books about Karn's wildlife." Mina said. "How are we going to look over them all?"
"One book at the time." A voice said. The group turned to see a photocopier/fax machine with one tread, thin arms, and a head similar to XR's, but red, and with smaller, beady eyes, one of which is yellow and larger than the other. "That's how I do it. The name's XL, nice to meet ya."
"It's nice to meet you too, XL." Fluttershy said before shaking the little robot's hand. Shini then noticed his head and had to ask an important question.
"Are you by any chance related to XR?" Shini asked.
"Yeah, he's my brother." XL answered in embarressment.
"How's that work?" Shini asked.
"Well, I was originally created by the LGMs to be the first robotic Space Ranger, but due to his violent and destructive personality, Commander Nebula gave the order to have the me deactivated." XL began. "All information regarding the creation and development of me was later placed into the XL file, which was made accessible only to Commander Nebula himself. This event was what led to Nebula's prejudice against robots and the idea of a robot ranger in particular, though like XR after him the LGMs got permission to build him by sneaking the authorization form in with one of their vacation requests, which he would often sign without looking. Some time after the creation of XR and the formation of Team Lightyear, Evil Emperor Zurg reactivated me to help him destroy Star Command. I had every intent to take revenge upon Nebula for shutting him down. Prior to facing Commander Nebula, I proceeded to steal state-of-the-art robot parts from both Star Command and other robotic facilities across the galaxy. His heists soon caught the attention of Star Command, who then deployed Team Lightyear to catch the culprit. I soon revealed himself to the team. After some digging, Buzz and XR soon learned from Commander Nebula of my origins at Star Command. Later on, I soon broke into Star Command and kidnapped the Commander, imprisoning him in a cage beneath a field of lasers within the robot's asteroid home. Here he revealed his intentions to his "father" to claim revenge on him. Team Lightyear, however, was able to mount a rescue by pursuing my asteroid base, successfully breaking through its primary defenses. Seeing that his enemies were about to break through, I started to lower the laser grid onto Nebula with the intent of using it to kill him. When Team Lightyear eventually entered the heart of my lair, most of its members were incapacitated by the robot's weapons, with XR notably being torn to pieces. Fortunately, Buzz was not captured, and was able to reassemble XR so he could plug into a computer terminal and activate all the robot parts lying around, commanding them to attack me. As they did, I was knocked down, and the traps that held Mira Nova, Booster, and Commander Nebula were deactivated. Furious after being defeated by XR, I examined their blueprints and determined that only one component appeared to be different between them: XR possessed an "AFD." Believing the component to be the cause of his defeat, I captured XR and removed it, installing it in himself. Later, he captured XR again after his "younger brother" took a delivery job in hopes of being able to obtain a replacement. XR ended up bringing me the final component for his latest evil invention, a dangerously modified version of a Star Command g-force trainer. I put XR in the machine and set it running, capturing the rest of Team Lightyear when they arrived to rescue their friend. However, the investigations of XR's teammates led to a surprise revelation: AFD stood for Air-Freshening Device, installed by the LGMs due to their dislike of how XR smelled. Realizing that he had not lost a vital component, XR threw several coins out as he was being propelled by the g-force machine, destroying it and damaging me. I later hired Torque to bring me a special component on Tradeworld, which allowed him to upgrade himself with more powerful robotic limbs. Though I initially posed a considerable threat to Team Lightyear, I was defeated yet again when Booster Munchapper, who under the influence of Jo-Adian Bunzel Fever, ripped me apart after mistaking him for a Bunzel. After being ripped apart and hearing Booster shout "Bunzel!" a few times, I asked, "Why does he keep saying that?" Some time later, I formed an alliance with NOS-4-A2, the two of us had infiltrated Star Command and captured Ty Parsec in order to turn him into Wirewolf. The first stage of their plan complete, we traveled to Planet Z, where we succeeded in ousting Zurg and taking over. However, I began to get an inkling of my lesser role in the alliance, as NOS-4-A2 was quick to claim dominion over Zurg's fortress. I then fulfilled his primary task, creating a machine that would spread Ty's affliction to other organic beings, providing NOS-4-A2 with a virtually unlimited food supply. Sensing his increasing lack of use to NOS-4-A2 as anything but another meal, I volunteered to hunt down Buzz and XR, who managed to help him see the error of his ways. Returning to his original purpose, I helped defeat NOS-4-A2 and undo their evil plans. Subsequently, his head was attached to a copying machine and he was allowed to rejoin the Star Command staff, despite Nebula's unease at the notion."
"Well, were going to need all these books for mission on the planet Karn." Fluttershy said.
"All of them?" XL said in shock. "I don't think you'll carry them all."
"Maybe." Fluttershy said. "But I think I may have an idea." Shortly after, the four of them returned to Star Command, with XL carrying a large pile of books with a pieced together body containing parts from several different robots, all connected to a huge body, giving him an intimidating look. Naturally, Commander Nebula was not pleased.
"XL, WHO GAVE YOU AUTHORIZATION TO HAVE YOUR BODY BACK?!" He asked in rage.
"I did, sir." Fluttershy said. "I needed some books on Karn wildlife and XL offered to carry them for me."
"That explains the bill we got for the library card." Commander Nebula said.
"Sir, I promise I'll use this body to protect Fluttershy." XL said in confidence.
"I asked the LGMs to disable the more dangerous weapons." Fluttershy added.
"At best, I could at least burn someone's skin or stun them." XL said.
"Alright, XL I'm putting you under Fluttershy's command." Commander Nebula ordered.
"Yes, sir." XL said with a salute. Soon, everyone was onboard and on their way to Karn. Along the way, Team Lightyear explained details of the situation to the team, told them about Dr. Osma and the many adventures they had with her. Then, Mira felt a bit of concern for XL.
"You do still have some offensive capabilities, right?" She asked.
"A lot of my more lethal weapons were deactivated, but I can still fight." XL answered. "Why do you ask?"
"Because I have a feeling, we're about to get into a real fight." Mira answered. Perhapes she was right, for durning all this, the last of fiery balls crash down upon Karn, revealing itself to be a small robot with green eyes.
"Filthy, filthy, filthy." The robot said. "Not to worry, Carebot is online." The team soon arrives at planet Karn. When they stepped foot on the planet, they were met by Dr. Osma, who was informed that they would be coming.
“What been going on here, Doctor?” Buzz asked “Poachers again?”
“If it was the case, my animals wouldn't be still on planet or on ice.” Osma said before showing the group some of the animals encased in ice.
“At least they're still alive.” Fluttershy said in assurance.
“How do you know that?” Osma asked in doubt. Fluttershy the turned to his giant robot bodyguard.
“XL.” She said.
“Right, Sarge.” XL said before handing Fluttershy the scan he took.
“According to these readings, the animals seem to be in a form of stasis.” Fluttershy said. “Vitals are slow, but steady.”
“Let me see that.” Osma said before reviewing the scans. “This is bad. Some of my animals can't handle these readings for too long. We got to get them freed.”
“And we will.” Buzz said. “And while we do that, we can figure out what's causing this.” The group then began to follow the trail of frozen bodies, thawing the animals out of their icy prisons along the way. It took a little while, but soon, the found the cause of the mess, for in the middle of a clearing, there was a huge swarm of little robots, coming in and out of a huge metallic ant hill.
“Care-Bots?” Mira asked in surprise.
“What are Care-Bots?” Pinkie asked in confusion “Little robots that were suppose to keep their ship spic and span.” Mira explained. “But they went haywire and froze their creators, because they pegged organics as being the source of the ship's messes. Team Lightyear boarded the ship to attempt to pull it over for speed violations, and were almost frozen by the Care-Bots. We managed to free the crew and jettisoned most of the Care-Bots into space, where they are quite happy because space is "the ultimate cleanliness."”
“Nothing to worry about, though.” Buzz said in assurance. “One good blast will deal with them.” Buzz then blasted one of the Care-Bots, but the laser was just absorbed into the metal, shocking the entire group. “Something is not right. These robots couldn't take a single shot from our lasers. Someone helped them on planet.”
“But we can’t just walk in.” Raph said. “We’ll be encased in ice.”
“I think I got an idea.” Donnie said. “My hologuiser will turn us into Care-Bots. We just need to sneak in, find out who’s in charge in there, and take them down.”
“That might work.” Leo said. “Let’s do it.” They transform into Care-Bots and snuck inside the metal ant hill. For a while, things seemed to be going well, until they reached the center of the hive, where they say a dinosaur like alien wearing Cajun clothes.
“That guy does not look like he’s from around here.” Sunset said.
“You’re right.” The reptilian alien said before ordering the Care-Bots to deactivate the hologuise tech, revealing our heroes real forms. “I’m not.”
“How did you do that?” Donnie asked in shock. “And who are you?”
“You can call me, Troy Reximus.” The alien said with a sadistic grin. "I'm Zurg's new power house. In case your wondering how that happened it all started sometime ago." The scene then changed to show Zurg blowing his top.
"Brain Pod 34 escaped?!" Zurg asked in rage.
"Yes, but we've already hired a bounty hunter" Grub explained.
"WHO?!" Zurg asked before a voice answered that question.
"Me." Zurg and the Grub turned to see Troy Reximus walk into the room.
"Did you bring a resume?" Zurg asked in curiosity.
?: Here's my resume. Troy then lifted up a blaster and pointed it at Zurg's face.
"Guts and strength..." Zurg said. "I LOVE IT! Forget being a bounty hunter, your my new muscle man. What's your name."
"My name's Troy Reximus." He said as the scene changed back to the present day.
"And you came to Karn because...?" Osma asked.
"I just liked to cause a little trouble where I go." Troy said.
“You're asking for this, lizard lips." Raph said.
"Bring it on, shell head." Troy said. The heroes then launched an all out attack on Troy and his Care-Bots. The Care-Bots laser absorbing armor made them impossible to destroy, so all they could do is knock them away, temporally stunning them. Then Mina discovered that knocking them into the metal spikes on the walls makes them puncture their armor, destroying them. The rest of the group noticed this and decided to use this information to their advantage. The group did the same thing to all of Care-Bots, but there are just too many to get rid off. So Fluttershy decided to call some of the local animals for backup, which they provided graciously, in return for saving them. And before long, all the Care-Bots were completely taken out, and Troy Reximus tried to escape, only to get caught in a giant spiderweb. Soon, Troy was loaded onto a ship with the scrapped Care-Bots and the rest of the animals were free.
“Thanks for all your help today.” Osma said in gratitude. “You guys have really saved my animals from being iced.”
“Anytime, Dr.Osma.” Buzz said.
“Oh, and Fluttershy?” Osma added. “If you ever need a summer job, just give me a call.”
"Oh, well thank you, Dr. Osma." Fluttershy said. Later, The LGMS were caring the scrapped remains of the Care-Bots past the cells. Troy Reximus was getting pieces of web off of his body, Gravitina was rubbing her head, trying to num the pain after April caught up to her, Torque's head was still spinning in circles as he's still unable to see straight, maybe even spit a tooth out, NOS-4-A2 was still short circuiting from his wounds, And the Evil Buzz was rubbing his bare face while frequently being launched into the ceiling by his Ex-girlfriend. The LGMs then put the robo remains into the garbage disposal unit, unaware that a surviving Care-bot head transmits the data it recorded back to Zurg.
The next day, Pinkie Pie, Mikey, and Walter Wilde were at a table at Kosmo’s Diner with the rest of the group, talking about their big victory at Karn.
"And remember the time when Troy was knocked into the wall?" Mikey asked in excitement.
"It was a barrel of laughs, dawg!" Walter Wilde replied.
"You better believe it was!" Pinkie commented. "I liked when you kicked that one Care-Bot into his face." Just then, there was an explosion in the kitchen, and Kosmo the chef was flung into the wall.
"Having kitchen problems again, Kosmo?" XR asked.
"How did you guess?" Kosmo asked. "It's like a bomb factory in there. I need a miracle to get over this one."
"Hey Kosmo, why not have Pinkie Pie help you around the kitchen?" Buzz asked.
"You cook?" Kosmo asked in doubt, causing those who know Pinkie Pie well to start chuckling.
"Kosmo, baby, I can cook anything." Pinkie Pie answered in confidence.
"Then head into kitchen and prove it." Kosmo ordered. "I want you to make me a super deluxe Kosmo Burger with all the works."
"No problem." Pinkie Pie said before rushing into the kitchen and one Kosmo Burger with all the works for everyone, much to the awe of the group and the suprise of Kosmo. "Hope you enjoy eating your word."
"This girl is going to be fun." Kosmo said to himself before turning to the waitress. "SALLY, START GETTING ORDERS! WE GOT OURSELVES A CULINARY SUPERSTAR!" Soon, Pinkie was fixing meals like lightning for people. Infact, she was going so fast, that it was hard for Sally to keep up with them, which is why Pinkie asked Mikey and Walter help her serve food. The three of them worked faster than anyone who over worked in a resturaunt before. Then, one customer walked in giving a chilling vibe to the whole room. The guy looked like he was drawn in the 1930's with long stretchy limbs, formal attire, and a looney tooney smile.
"Hey, bro." Mikey said before taking out a pencil and notepad. "What can we get you today?"
"Oh, it's not what you can get me, but rather what I can give you guys." The customer said. "The name's Squash N. Stretch, galactic food inspection."
"I hear ya, and you wanna try the grub here to see if it's accurate, right?" Mikey asked.
"Bingo." Squash said. “I’d like to try one of everything you have on the menu to see of it is as good as everyone says it is.”
“You got it, bro!” Mikey said before racing off to the kitchen. And so, Squash N. Stretch began to eat everything on the menu, unaware that Team Lightyear is watching him very carefully. First he tried the appetizers, like Saturn’s onion rings, Moon Cheese Sticks, and Cosmic Kabobs. Then he tried many meals, like Celestial Salad, Jupiter Sandwiches, and Galactic Soup. Finally, it came time for the desserts, like Milky Way Milkshakes, Moon Beam Ice Cream, and Star Dust Cake. All the while, our heroes were studying him, watching his every movement.
"Oy Buzz, you weren't kidding." Cosmos said in suprise."This girl cooks as fast as star cruiser."
"Yeah, but there's something about that Squash N. Stretch guy that seems off." Buzz said in suspicious.
“I feel you may right.” Pinkie whispered to Buzz with a wink. “But we’ll find out soon.” And as she moves as great speed, Squash pushes a gem on his suit, which starts glowing slowly. It was then that XR started acting off.
“I’m a little teapot, Short and stout.” He said in a chipmunk voice. “Here is my handle, Here is my spout. When I get all steamed up, Hear me shout: Tip me over And pour me out!” He then crashes into Squash, causing both of them to fall onto the floor. In the prossess, Squash drops a Zurg communicator. XR regains control and sees the communicator. "Hey, this guys a Zurg agent!"
"Drat, my cover's blown, time to dissapear." Squash said before pulling out a smoke bomb and using it to fill the room with smoke. Our heroes stand ready to fight, but can’t see Squash at all. Mira was the first to be neutralized by ropes and a gag. Eventually, he was able to neutralize all but 3 of them. “Now where are those three wildcards.” He was then hit from behind by a pie.
“We’re over here!” Pinkie said out loud. Squash then snuck up on her only to grab a cut out with a speaker taped onto the back of it.
“What the…” Squash asked in confusion before being hit by a hot dog and hearing Mikey’s voice this time.
“Yoo-hoo!” He said. Squash then snuck up on Mikey only to grab another cut out with a speaker taped onto the back of it.
“I’m getting tired of these games, kids.” Squash said in irritation before getting hit by a hamburger and hearing Walter’s voice.
“I’m over here behind the counter.” He said. This time, Squash raced to Walter only to fall into a sticky net on the floor landing on yet another speaker. As the smoke cleared, our heroes looked in astonishment at the trio’s handiwork.
“Whoa!” Leo said in amazement. “You guys are, geniuses?”
“Thanks!” Pinkie said. “When my Pinkie sense told me this guy was not who he claims to be, Mikey and Walter agreed to help me bag this guy.”
“And indeed you did.” Said a voice coming from a man in a fancy suit with squid-like tentacles, arms like a crab, one eye like a plankton, holes like a sponge and a pointed head like a starfish. “And as a real health inspector, I’m willing to accept this as part of the inspection, and since that imposter enjoyed the food, I think that he did my job all to well. It is my honor as the real health inspector, to give this diner a passing grade.” He then put an A+ sign on the door. “Anyone that can defend their restaurant to bravely from villainy is worth paying.” And as Squash N. Stretch was carried off to jail everyone cheered and had a big feast on the house, unaware that he was smiling a crooked smile with the gem he had fully charged and ready for use.
