(This takes place just a few months after The Last Problem. This is also a ponified version of the wedding episode on Full House.)
Many moons have passed and Nathan is now a full grown stallion, plus he is also now officially Captain of the Royal Guard under his aunt. Even better, three months before, he had asked Apple Bloom her hoof in marriage and she said yes, now they are getting married.
Many years had passed since Nathan became a pony due to certain tests that God had put him through. But now he was a grown adult pony (28 years old in his human side). Plus, since his aunt was now ruler of Equestria, that meant that he had a very important job of his own in it, he was now officially Captain of the Royal Guard after his father, Shining Armor, retired.
FLASHBACK: THREE MONTHS EARLIER
Shining Armor, now a very old and wrinkled skinned unicorn was no longer in tip top shape to be in charge of the guards. Plus, his mane had faded from blue to grey throughout the years, so he now felt it was time to retire and pass the role onto his son. They were doing this at a rally in Canterlot, in the same throne room that the late Princess Celestia and Princess Luna sat on, but now it was under the rule of Twilight Sparkle. They were gathered in the throne room surrounded by a massive crowd, including Nathan's human friends Kyle Welder and Luke Miller, who were also full grown adults as well. Kyle was now Police Chief of Dallas and Luke was now pastor of their old church.
Princess Twilight stood up from her throne and approached the crowd alongside her brother.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate a momentous occasion." she said, "My brother Shining Armor has decided to retire from his position." The crowd gasped at this as Shining Armor stood his ground.
"I cannot go on forever, I have reached my limit to the brink of retirement." he said, "So I bid you all a very generous thanks for all that you have done to help me lead the royal army in the most dangerous of situations. I also bid you all a decent farewell as I head into retirement, so it is with a heavy heart that I pass the role of Captain of the Royal Guard to my son, Nathan Elisha Cadenza."
Nathan stepped out of the shadows to reveal his now grown up self, his mane had been cut perfectly, his wings were straightened neatly, he smelled of fresh cologne, and he was wearing the same form of armor that his father used to wear during the years of Celestia and Luna. The only thing that was missing from him was the helmet that his father was holding in his hoof.
Nathan knelt down to his father and aunt as Shining Armor lit up his horn and put the helmet onto his head. Nathan then rose back up to his feet and faced the very fired up crowd who gazed upon the new captain.
"May you shine your new power over the kingdom, my son." Shining Armor said, Nathan smiled and stood up in the center for his speech.
"Throughout the years of mah' life in Equestria as being an adoptive child towards mah' parents, Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, Ah' really would think how could somepony like me be granted the rank of an important part of royalty?"
"Well it all starts with what you believe, when Ah' first came to Equestria as a human, Ah' never thought that it was the start of a round of levels of a game that Ah' had to play through. Level 1 was playin' a part of bravery by defending mah' girlfriend Apple Bloom from the clutches of a filly who enjoyed nothing more than making others miserable because they did not have a cutie mark on their flanks." this made Apple Bloom smile, "The first level of the game of bravery all starts with defense of a loved one, when y'all see your friends or family member being the victim of harassment because they do not have anything good or sensible like the other one has, don't just imagine it is not happening, get up and do something about it, fill the cup of courage to the top."
"The second time of mah' test of bravery was when Ah' pummeled another bully for stealing money that didn't belong to him, a bully who was even worse than the one that nearly pummeled mah girlfriend. That test was another one in which Ah' had shown that even size whether big or small didn't have any concern for mah' ways of comeuppance. Y'all should never let size or height be any matter to how to win the battle or the war."
"But, Ah' do believe the biggest test of courage was when Ah' led the battle of all the stolen magic to help bring down the most dangerous of enemies, Lord Tirek and Clarissa Garrison. If we had not shown how fearless we were to show them that magic is not to be of theirs, we would be wearing metal collars and be wearing collars under the forces of their evil powers!"
"All those tests that Ah' made all those years ago reminded me that being a true leader requires three key elements operate: fight, defend, and risk. Ah' fought Tirek and all the others that caused the most of misery upon Equestria, Ah' defended mah' friends and mah' family from all that had happened underneath the dark forces. Lastly, Ah' risked mah' own life finding the elements of harmony and restoring them by going through tons of dangers, including being food to manticores. So Ah' wish to see that upon you new guards of royalty as we now have a rank and job of protecting Princess Twilight Sparkle from any form of danger. We will work, we will save, we will sacrifice, we will endure, and we will do this not only for our own, but all for the glory of God!!!!!!!!!!!"
Everypony applauded as the new line of royal guards surrounded and created a straight line beside their new captain. Suddenly, the doors opened up and they walked out into the balcony to see an even bigger crowd applauding at the sight of Equestria's newest Captain of the Royal Guard. Celestia and Luna, who were now wrinkled skinned and had physically aged were watching from the skies with smiles of their own, they had never seen Nathan grow up to be such a handsome young stallion now becoming a part that Shining Armor was underneath them.
As Nathan smiled and waved at the massive crowd below him, he felt a hoof grab him and quickly twist him around. It was none other than Apple Bloom, who was now a beautiful aged earth pony. She no longer wore a bow that she wore as a filly, but instead her mane was braided and she had two bows to keep it tied, she stared at him with the same half-lidded eyed look she gave him when he was transformed into a pony many years before and they shared a tender kiss on the lips.
SECOND FLASHBACK: TWO MONTHS EARLIER
Nathan had invited everypony, including Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Big Macintosh for a potluck dinner that had all kinds of dishes. He and Apple Bloom had been dating for over six months now and now Nathan decided that tonight was the night he would do it................ask Apple Bloom to marry him!!!!!!!!!!!!
As everypony was enjoying their meal, Nathan stood up and levitated a cup and a spoon with his horn magic and tapped the spoon on the cup to get everypony's attention.
"Attention everypony, Ah' wanted to thank y'all for being supportive and coming to this special dinner. But this is no ordinary dinner party, Ah' made this party for a momentous surprise."
Everypony was confused as Nathan smiled, "Apple Bloom, can you and your sister and brother please step forward here please?"
Apple Bloom smiled and quietly gestured Applejack and Big Macintosh up to the direction Nathan was standing at. Once they were there, Nathan got on all four of his hooves and faced Applejack and Big Mac.
"Applejack, Big Macintosh, it is such an honor to remind y'all that Apple Bloom and Ah' have been dating for six months now and Ah' have finally come to the truth of the fact that Ah' love your sister, Ah' cherish all she has done for me and everypony else. So with your kind indulgence, Ah' have brought y'all here so that Ah' can ask her the biggest question of mah' life."
Nathan then turned his attention to Apple Bloom, "Apple Bloom?" he knelt down and levitated a beautiful silver ring in front of her, she gasped as the others stood silent.
"Will you marry me?" he asked, Apple Bloom quickly cried tears of joy.
"Yes, YES AH' WILL!!!!!!!!!" she screamed, she then kissed her now fiance as the whole group of ponies and creatures cheered them on.
Nathan was standing in the throne room beside his aunt as she was signing documents containing courses and plans for the next royal wedding involving Nathan and Apple Bloom for tomorrow which was Friday, two other guards stood below at the bottom. Once Twilight got the last document signed, she then neatly stacked them up and put them into a bin as Nathan lit up his horn and tied them with fresh rope. They had already made the decorations, now all that was left was rehearsal.
"Thank you Nathan." Twilight said.
"Yes, your majesty." he said, Twilight smiled and put a hoof on his shoulder, "You don't have to call me that, I'm still your aunt you know."
"Ah' know." Nathan said, "Ah'm just practicin'."
"Practicing for what?" asked Twilight.
Nathan faced his aunt and gave a sly smirk, "One answer, respect towards mah' fiance."
Twilight giggled, "Oh, I see what's going on, you're just wanting to make a good first impression when you and Apple Bloom get married tomorrow."
"Naw, Ah' just like to look respectful to mah' handsome reflection." Nathan teased as he pointed his reflection in the window to her.
"Well, I can say you really are ready for all of this aren't you?"
"Obviously."
Twilight pondered over all of this because not only was it a similar wedding to Cadance and Shining Armor, but she had an exciting role of being the main lead in it all just like Princess Celestia did all those years ago. The bridesmaids, which would be Yona, Silverstream, and Ocellus would stand by Apple Bloom while Gallus, Sandbar, and Spike stood beside Nate, a filly named Cinnamon Swirl would be the flower filly, while a colt named Frostbite would be the ring barer. Apple Bloom would have Smolder as her best one while Nathan would have a now grown up Flurry Heart and Skyla as his best mares.
"Do you still have one other pony you would like to have in your wedding?" asked Twilight as she and Nathan walked out of the throne room and into the corridors of the castle.
"Hmm, how about Luster Dawn?"
"What role would she take in it?"
"She could take role in helping Pinkie and Cheese make the snacks."
Twilight thought of that for a moment, "Hmm, I'm not sure about that."
Nathan put a hoof on her, "Come on Aunt Twilight, Luster told me that she's just as good of a cook."
"Well, I'll have to find that out myself." said Twilight, "In the meantime, you go and see how Apple Bloom is doing."
"Yes ma'am." Nathan said as he and his aunt separated down different hallways.
....Elsewhere in the castle....
Apple Bloom was in the room she was staying at for the night, her sister Applejack and her brother Big Macintosh were in there helping her get her dress ready for testing as she stood in the mirror. She had never been more delighted to wear this beautiful dress that Rarity had made for her, it was a pink and white laced dress with flowers around it, it also included a floral neck tie that fit around her just right.
"Ah' can't believe it." said Applejack, "Mah' little sister's gettin' married."
"Eeyup." answered Big Mac who was shedding tears of joy at seeing his little sister not only grown up, but seeing her in this beautiful apparel was a big thing for him because it was just like a father seeing his daughter going down the aisle into a new life, and that exactly what was about to happen. Big Mac then walked up and hugged his little sister.
"Oh Apple Bloom, it just seems like yesterday you were just a filly, now here you are ready to become a wife." he said. Applejack then walked and stood beside Big Mac.
"Big Mac, can you believe Nathan is going to be our brother-in-law tomorrow?"
"Eeyup." he answered.
"Thanks y'all." Apple Bloom said as she hugged her older siblings, suddenly, they heard a knocking at the door.
"Hold on a second!" said Apple Bloom as she quickly took off the dress and floral tie. Once all of it was off, she hung it in a closet and closed the door on it as Big Mac went to the bedroom door and opened it. When it was opened, it was nothing more than a couple of royal guards sent by Nathan.
"Yes guards?" asked Apple Bloom.
"Captain Cadenza sent us here to inform you that Princess Twilight said that rehearsal starts in five minutes."
"Thank you, where is Nathan anyway?" asked Applejack.
"He is making some final inspections, he'll be in the throne room pretty shortly."
"How 'bout Ah'm here for the next five?" asked Nathan who appeared out of nowhere.
Apple Bloom giggled as she walked up to him and they kissed on the lips.
"Ah' was hopin' you'd be approaching this direction." she said.
"I'm just lookin' forward to seeing yer' dress."
"As Ah'm lookin' forward to seeing you in that same outfit yer' Dad wore when he got married."
"Ah' think we should get goin' now."
Meanwhile in the throne room.......
Luster Dawn and a group of five friends of her own had managed to make this wedding one for the books. Luster was proud to actually record and cherish every moment of this because not only was it the first wedding she had ever been to, but also it would be one in which she was actually a part of, her mentor Twilight had told her that she would be helping in with Pinkie Pie make the cakes and treats. Anyway, she was striking a pose as one of her friends held a camera.
"Okay, are we ready Storm?" she asked.
"Yes." said Storm as she turned on the camera.
"We are live in three, two, one."
"Good evening everypony, and welcome to a special broadcast of 'Equestria Live' I am your host Luster Dawn, you may know me as Princess Twilight Sparkle's most faithful student sent out to learn friendship. But I bring to you something very exciting, I am reporting to you all live from Canterlot in part of a momentous celebration. As you all may have heard in the fliers, tomorrow morning at 11 AM, Captain Nathan Cadenza and Apple Bloom are getting married, it will be the second biggest wedding event in all of Equestria since the royal wedding of Princess Cadance and Shining Armor, and the best part is that I will be helping Pinkie Pie with the foods."
"As you can see behind me, Gallus and the other students from the School of Friendship are preparing for the very first rehearsal, and here he is Gallus!"
Gallus stared at the camera with an annoyed expression, but waved.
"So Gallus, tell the viewers, what is it like to participate in a wedding for the very first time?"
"Well, it is quite the experience considering weddings are portrayed quite differently in Griffonstone."
"Yeah." interrupted Smolder, "Dragons usually do their weddings under mountains of magma."
"Yaks do weddings differently too." replied Yona.
"Well, from the looks of it, it seems our newest of friends are getting a different experience with being in a foreign wedding, plus it........." Luster was soon interrupted by the sound of the throne doors opening, Storm turned the camera to see that Princess Twilight Sparkle, Nathan, and Apple Bloom had entered.
"Oh look, it's the bride and groom themselves, Nathan and Apple Bloom." said Luster as she and Storm approached them.
"So Nathan, Apple Bloom, tell the viewers what is it like being a future couple?"
"Well that's kinda personal, and we need to wrap this up because we are getting ready for rehearsal." said Nathan.
"Well that's all the time for today, catch us tomorrow on another special edition of 'Equestria Live." said Luster Dawn as Storm turned off the camera.
"Luster, why do you want to record this?" asked Twilight.
"Because I want this to be a cherishing moment for myself, I've never participated in such a big event in my life."
Nathan smiled and put a hoof on her shoulder, "We understand, but just don't get too excited okay."
"Yes captain." said Luster Dawn.
"Now, let us get ready." said Twilight, and she, Nathan, and Apple Bloom walked up to the stands. Nathan stood by Gallus, Spike, and Sandbar, his sisters were also standing with him. Apple Bloom stood beside Silverstream, Ocellus, and Smolder while Applejack stood to her left.
It was nearing evening and everyone had managed to memorize all the roles for their parts in tomorrow's big adventure. Now that it was officially clear what everyone had to do, they all were now ready to put on the correct forms of apparel they were assigned to wear in their parts. Gallus, Sandbar, and Spike would wear black Marine like uniforms with medals and red sashes on them, Silverstream, Ocellus, and Smolder would wear white robe dresses with boutonnieres on them in the center and wear floral crowns on their heads. Apple Bloom would wear her dress while Nathan would wear a refurbished red guard uniform with a blue sash and shield of Shining Armor's cutie mark in the center of it.
Anyway, it was nearing the end of the rehearsal, and everypony and creature were heading out the doors and into their dressing/bedrooms they were assigned to for the evening. As they were exiting the throne room, the last ones to exit were Nathan and Apple Bloom, along with Twilight, as they walked down the hallways. They had no trouble in finding their assigned rooms because the first one to find theirs was Gallus as he opened a door that led into his personal quarters.
"Well, I've got experimenting to do on my outfit, good night you all." he said.
"Good night." said the rest, as they continued to walk, the next ones were Smolder, Silverstream, Ocellus, Luster Dawn, and Yona. Twilight had managed to find a room big enough to fit at least five ponies and Nathan and Apple Bloom wanted to give them special treatment since they were a big part of it all.
"Good night you all, I hope we can get this going well tomorrow." said Ocellus as she and the others entered into their bedroom.
"See y'all in the mornin'." said Apple Bloom
"Hope y'all sleep well." said Nathan.
"Pleasant dreams." said Twilight with a warm smile, and Smolder closed the door. So far, at least half of the crew had found their quarters, Apple Bloom would be sleeping with Applejack, Skyla, and Flurry Heart. Nathan would be sleeping with Big Mac, Sandbar, and Spike, but that was nothing short as Nathan found the door that opened up into their sleep quarters for the night as well. Nathan's horn glowed to magically turn the doorknob and opened it to reveal several beds and he was the first one to walk in, but not before he gave Apple Bloom a good night kiss on her lips.
"See ya' in the mornin' Bloomy." he said.
Apple Bloom giggled romantically, "Exactly mah' love, wedding mornin'." and she followed the others with Kyle, Luke, and Twilight to their rooms as Nate let his roommates in and he closed the door. Once the door was closed, the four manly mares inspected their apparel that Rarity had made for them, Big Mac, Sandbar, and Spike looked at their uniforms while Nathan looked at the refurbished red guard uniform with the blue sash.
"Can y'all believe after all this time, it's finally happenin'?!" Nathan asked in excitement, everyone was super excited, well everyone except Big Mac.
"Tomorrow at 11 AM, Apple Bloom and Ah' are gonna be husband and wife, Ah' really look forward to a good cherishing life."
"Yeah about that...." interrupted Big Mac, causing Nathan and the other two to stare at him.
"What's wrong Big Mac, you should be happy about this." said Spike.
"Nope." said Big Mac.
Nathan walked up to him and put a hoof on him, "Big Mac, why the long face?"
"Ah'm just a little sorry."
"Sorry for what?" asked Spike.
"About what Nathan is about to go through."
"What are you talkin' bout?"
"Spike, Sandbar, Ah' need y'all to step out for a minute, Ah' wanna talk with Nathan alone."
"Okay." Spike said and he and Sandbar went outside, leaving Nathan along with Big Mac, Spike then closed the door. Now it was just him and Big Mac, for now.
"All right Big Mac, what's this all about?" asked Nathan.
"Nate, Ah' know you and Apple Bloom have been really excited 'bout this massive event coming, but there's one little difficult risk of gettin' married."
"And what would that be?"
"Well, when your parents got married, Shining Armor's risk was that a very big responsibility was about to come into his life. When he got married, he had to give up a lot of awesome stages of fun because he knew that since he had Cadance, that form of life was officially over."
"What are ya' tellin' me?"
"Ah'm saying, when you and Apple Bloom get married tomorrow, you're gonna have to realize that once you two are husband and wife, you will be giving up a lot of fun things life for the sake of your vows."
This really got to Nathan as he put a hoof on his chin.
"Ah' just want you to really think this through." said Big Mac as he went outside to be with his sisters. Meanwhile, Spike and Sandbar came back inside and saw Nathan frozen as stone, then saw him put his hoof down.
"Nathan, is something wrong?" asked Sandbar.
"Whoa." said Nathan who was now in shock.
"What, what is it?" asked Spike.
"Guys, Ah'm now not so sure Ah' wanna do this." Sandbar and Spike showed confused expressions.
"What are you talking about?" asked Sandbar.
"Big Mac just told me Ah' will no longer be able to do anything fun, maybe Ah' shouldn't get married."
Sandbar and Spike gasped.
"Nate, you and Apple Bloom have been going through this event for months, you can't just throw it all away just because somepony says you have to give up." said Spike.
"Yeah, you'll still get to do fun stuff, he's just saying you have to put Apple Bloom's thought's ahead of yours, because that's what a stallion does."
"Yes, a true stallion." said Spike.
"Ah' don't know y'all." said a very nervous Nathan as the scene quickly transitioned.
....5:00 AM the next morning....
Nathan was walking out in the hallway with Kyle, who was already dressed while Nathan levitated his uniform with his horn.
"Nathan, it's 5:00 in the morning, where are you taking me?" asked Kyle as he got on his shoes.
"Shh, Kyle trust me, this is very important to me."
"Nate, you're getting married in 6 hours, you are getting married aren't you?" asked Kyle as he put on a jacket.
"Kyle come on, Ah'll explain everything on the way to the airport."
"THE AIRPORT?!!!!" Kyle asked with a low-toned yell.
"Yes, now come on, shh!" Nathan said as he and Kyle quickly left the castle to head for the Crystal Empire where they would be taken back to Dallas.
Sandbar groaned and stretched his body as he managed to get out of his bed.
"Mmm, good morning Nathan, let's get going." he said, but when he turned to the side that Nate was supposed to be in, he quickly saw that Nathan wasn't there.
"Nathan?"
No response.
"Nate, where are you?" he asked, again no response, his sudden jolt of horror managed to wake Spike and Big Mac up as well.
"Sandbar, what's wrong?" asked Big Mac.
"I can't seem to find Nathan."
"Maybe, he's in the bathroom." said Spike, once he was fully up, he went over to the door that opened up into the bathroom and knocked.
"Nathan, are you in there?" he yelled.
"Nathan?!" once again, no response.
"Okay, this is really freaky!" said Sandbar.
"Alright, let's not panic, I'm sure he's around here somewhere." said Big Mac, "Spike, Sandbar, you all search every room, I'll search the bottom of the castle."
"Got it." said Sandbar, Spike just gave a thumbs up, thus they went out to go and look for Nathan. However, unknown to them, as they closed their door to their room, there was a note taped to the frame of the door from Nathan. Meanwhile, Gallus was in his room and just waking up to get ready for the big day, when the sudden sound of his door slamming open startled him out of his wits, he quickly turned to see Sandbar and Spike with panicked expressions.
"Nathan?!"
"Nathan, where are you?!"
"Sandbar, Spike, what's going on?" asked Gallus.
"Gallus, we have a problem."
"We can't find Nathan."
Gallus scratched his scalp in puzzlement, "What do you mean you can't find him?"
"We've searched at least 10 rooms in this castle, he's just not here!" yelled Spike.
"All right, take it easy." said Gallus, "I'm sure he's around here somewhere, did you all check the other floors of the castle?"
"Big Macintosh is locating the bottom parts."
"We still haven't checked the top yet."
"All right, let's go check the top parts." and then Gallus, Sandbar, and Spike fled out into the top corridors to see if Nathan could be there. They searched the castle, every room, bathroom, and corridor, at least 20 minutes went by and no luck ever came upon finding him. No matter how far they searched, every room and corridor, Nathan was nowhere to be found.
A few minutes later, they all met back at Gallus's room where they still had panicked expressions.
"Okay, now it's bad!" said Spike.
"What's a wedding without the groom?!" exclaimed Sandbar.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of running hoofsteps rapidly approaching them, they turned to see that it was none other than Big Mac, who was panicked himself.
"Any luck Big Mac?" asked Spike.
"Not a bit, he's not in any of the rooms downstairs."
"He's not on any of the top floors either." said Gallus.
"What's going on out here?" said a voice from behind them, they turned to see Smolder, Ocellus, Yona, and Silverstream approach them with tired faces.
"Why ponies panic?" asked Yona.
"You woke us up." said a grumpy Smolder.
"Girls, I'm afraid we have a predicament." said Big Mac.
"What, what is it?!" asked Smolder.
"It's Nathan, he's gone!" said Spike, this caused them to not only be fully awake, but also gasp in horror.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE!!!???!!!" yelled Silverstream.
"Gone, bye-bye, vanished!" answered Ocellus.
"I know what it means, I'm just curious." said Silverstream.
"How could he just leave and not even tell us?!"
"Guys, it's not just Nathan." said Luke who was still in his pajamas and with a scared face of his own, "Kyle's gone too!"
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!" they all screamed in horror.
"Oh that's just great, we have a very big event happening soon, and two very important roles of it are missing!" growled Gallus.
"What is all the commotion?!" asked Twilight out of nowhere as she walked up to our cast with her friends, they soon showed scared expressions.
"Princess Twilight, we have a problem." said Smolder.
"What?"
"Nathan and Kyle are gone!" exclaimed Spike.
"How can they be gone, surely they would still be here." said Applejack.
"I'm sure they are here somewhere." said Rarity.
"Rarity, we looked everywhere, up and down, they are not here!" yelled Sandbar.
"Guys!" said Luster Dawn out of nowhere, they quickly turned to see her and Storm running from the room Nathan, Spike, Sandbar, and Big Mac were sleeping in.
"I found a note on the bedroom door from Nathan." she said as she levitated a paper.
"Read it Luster." said Rainbow Dash.
"Wait, I wanna get this on our Equestria Live video." said Storm as she held up her video camera. As she turned it on, Luster Dawn prepped her mane as if she was preparing herself for a real live interview.
"And we are live in three two one."
"Hi, and welcome to another edition of Equestria live I'm Luster Dawn your host. And it would appear that today is supposed to be wedding day for our two popular ponies, the bride is still here, but badly enough, it appears we are missing a groom and groomsmare. The good news is, he left us this note."
Shen then started to read it in a dramatic kind of tone.......
"Dear Ponies"
"You all must be wondering where I went, I kidnapped Kyle, but we'll be back for the wedding. There was one last thing I had to do before I got married."
"Nathan"
"Let me do that again, I can do better." said Luster Dawn, she then proceeded to go another round.
"DEAR PONIES" she screamed in a more dramatic tone, only to be interrupted.
"Luster!" exclaimed Luke as he snatched the note from her magical grasp and read it for himself.
"Oh man, Nathan's getting married in four hours!" he said as he dropped the note on a table, "Where the heck could he be?"
....Meanwhile, in the skies above Dallas, inside a small airplane....
"NATE, YOU'RE TOTALLY OUT OF YOUR MIND!" yelled Kyle, who was piloting the small plane.
"Ah' know!" said Nathan (now a human again), wearing a khaki jacket, a harness containing a parachute, and his refurbished red guard uniform underneath it.
"Ah' said Ah'd never get in the plane with you."
"No, I'm talking about skydiving, it's stupid!"
"Look Kyle, people say it's the ultimate rush." said Nathan, "Ah' did take lessons the few times Ah' came here from Equestria to see you and Luke. But Ah've never gotten the chance to jump out of a plane because it was too windy."
"Kyle, Ah' gotta have this one last fun adventure before Ah' get married."
"Well do you have to do this on your wedding day?" asked Kyle.
Nathan groaned, "This is the last hour of mah' life as a single alicorn. Pretty soon, Ah'm gonna be married, Ah'm gonna have a family, Ah'm gonna have all the responsibilities. Ah' mean what am Ah' gonna do then, jump out of a stagecoach?"
"Well you could." answered Kyle, "You're chute might not open in time."
"Kyle, look, Ah'..Ah' have to do this one last crazy thing before Ah' give it all up for the pony Ah' love."
"Isn't flying with me crazy enough?" asked Kyle.
"No!" exclaimed Nathan.
"How about when I do this?" Kyle asked, he then jerked the plane's steering wheel to a hard left causing it to slowly spin.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nathan screamed as the plane turned upside down then went face forward again.
"Don't do that!" yelled Nathan as he lightly slapped Kyle on the back of his head.
"Ah' got this all planned out, Ah' got mah' uniform on. Ah' take the jump, land on the edge of Piedmont Avenue, take the bus to the old orphanage, head back to Equestria, fly back to Canterlot, and just enough time to remoose mah' mane and say 'Ah' do'."
"Great plan." Kyle said, "Can I make one little suggestion?"
"What?"
"Snap out of it!" said Kyle as he returned a slap to Nathan.
"Kyle, this is something Ah' have to do for mahself alright?"
"All right, well have a safe trip, good luck buddy." said Kyle as he patted Nathan on his shoulder.
"Thanks pal." Nathan said as he undid his seat belt, he then walked to the back of the plane and put on a helmet that had goggles.
"Oh and Kyle, if anything goes wrong, Ah' want you to marry Apple Bloom." he said as he put on the goggles. He then looked out to see that they were really high in the air.
"Whoa!" he said, before preparing the jump.
"GERONIMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he jumped out of the plane.
"Oh my gosh!" Kyle said looking down at the seat Nathan was sitting in, "He jumped without his.......cologne!" he said as he held a small bottle of fresh cologne. He then saw that Nathan had managed to pop his parachute and watched him slowly descend back down to the streets as Kyle gave him a thumbs up.
"Did Ah' forget mah' cologne?" asked Nathan as he descended.
....Back in Canterlot, inside the Reception Room....
It was 10:45 AM and the crowds were already gathered from the room, all the way outside into the streets of Canterlot, everypony was dressed in tuxes, lace dresses, and gowns of every kind. But there was absolutely no sign of excitement, nor were there any smiles or tears of joy. Instead, there was gibberish and whispering of concern because there was still no sign of Nathan or Kyle anywhere, the other groomsmares, including Gallus, Sandbar, and Spike were in their uniforms. Silverstream, Smolder, Ocellus, and Yona were in their dresses, Skyla and Flurry Heart were in their dresses as well since Nathan chose them as his best mares.
But they too were not looking too thrilled at all themselves, for they showed worried expressions as well. Skyla and Flurry Heart were scared on their own for their brother's safety. The crowds continued to murmur while some looked at pocket watches and gave blank stares.
Meanwhile, Luster Dawn and Storm, who also had on dresses, were using this opportunity to take this as another sample for their video. Storm had the video camera in her hoof while Luster stood in front of it.
"Hi, this Luster Dawn reporting to you live from the Reception Room, there is still no sign of the groom, or the main groomsmare." she then turned to her mentor, Twilight, who was in a stage of panic as Storm turned the camera to her.
"Princess Twilight, how do you feel?"
Twilight stuttered, "Oh, I feel very confident that Nathan and Kyle will arrive on time, in the next 15 minutes." she said as she nervously looked to a clock that was hanging on a wall.
"Is that why you're not telling Apple Bloom what's going on?" asked Luster.
Twilight stuttered again, "Uh, no that's because, I'm chicken." she said as she disappeared from the camera.
Luster Dawn then turned back to the camera herself, "You heard it first, Princess Twilight is chicken."
"The flower filly is here." said Cinnamon Swirl as she came in through a side door, she had on a little floral robe and levitated a flower basket. Luster Dawn and Storm then turned to see Cinnamon all cute and ready for action, Storm managed to turn the camera over to her cute looking self.
"Wow." said Luster, astonished at how neatly well maintained the dress she wore was.
"Oooh." said Storm.
"I'm ready for the video." said Cinnamon Swirl, "My mane looks fantastic."
"Do something." said Storm as she aimed the video camera at Cinnamon.
"Now I'll do a funny face." said Cinnamon as she faced the camera, she then crossed her eyes and stuck her tongue out to where it actually reached her nose.
"Hey Cinnamon, where's Frostbite?" asked Luster.
"Who cares, that colt is crazy." answered Cinnamon.
"Hello Cinnamon." said Frostbite who came in through the same door Cinnamon did, only he was wearing a cute little tux that Rarity made for him, Cinnamon managed to turn to see him and they stood face to face.
"You look very beautiful." said Frost.
"You're a hunk!" exclaimed Cinnamon.
"What's a hunk?"
"That's what Luster calls Big Macintosh." answered Cinnamon, Luster then put her hoof on her mouth.
"Cut cut." said Luster Dawn as Storm turned off the camera and they all walked off stage. Soon, Applejack and Big Macintosh came sprinting inside the side door as well, all dressed nicely as they approached Twilight.
"All right, everything is ready up front." said Cadance as she and Shining Armor stopped in front of Twilight, who was still not feeling all that hopeful.
"O-okay, that's...that's good, t-t-that's very good." Twilight stuttered out of sheer panic, yet she hid it as best as she could.
"What's the problem?" Shining Armor asked his sister.
Twilight gave a fake grin and a nervous laugh, "Oh there's....there's no problem."
Shining Armor was not buying it, "You're lying, I can tell by the way you won't look me in the eye."
"Can you believe this stallion?" asked Twilight, but since Shining Armor and Cadance were still not buying it, she now knew she had to tell the truth, so she sighed and took a deep breath.
"Okay, there's a problem, you know how at every wedding has a bride and a groom?"
"Well you take away the groom and.......that's what's going on here." she said with a nervous stern.
Cadance gasped in horror at this, "You took away your own nephew, our son!?!"
"What are you talking about!?!" exclaimed Shining Armor.
"Look I don't know what's going on."
"Well something better not have....." but just before a quarrel could develop, Cadance stopped Shining Armor and Twilight because the back doors were opening to reveal a shocking surprise. Apple Bloom had entered with another female pegasus at her side, she was already in her western style wedding dress with a flower at the center of it and a veil on her head. She also wore a beautiful necklace around her as well, and from the look of it, she was really losing patience because the ceremony was taking a long time to begin.
Cadance gave a nervous laugh as she stared at a very irritated Apple Bloom.
"Why aren't we startin'?" she asked in a very serious tone, but instead of answering, Cadance just gave a nervous smile.
"Princess Twilight, is something wrong?" asked Apple Bloom as she walked up to Twilight.
"Uh, no, nothing's wrong, what could possibly be wrong, everything is totally under control." said a very nervous Twilight who was not even facing straight into Apple Bloom.
"Why won't you look me in the eye?" she asked, finally Twilight spoke up.
"Well, we're not all here yet."
"Who's missing?" asked Apple Bloom.
"I know, I know, I know." interrupted Cinnamon Swirl.
"Yes Cinnamon?"
"Nathan is missing." Cinnamon answered, this quickly put a panicking influence on Apple Bloom.
"Oh mah' gosh, stay calm, just because the groom's not here, Ah' am not going to let that ruin mah' wedding day!" she exclaimed as she quickly turned scared and approached Applejack.
"Applejack." she whined as Applejack hugged her. Suddenly, the third main door opened and in came Kyle with his tux already on.
"Phew, made it!" he said as he closed the door behind him, only to be quickly surrounded by the worried crowd of ponies and creatures who just about couldn't take it anymore, they proved that by all asking the same question at once........
"WHERE'S NATHAN!?!?!?!?!!?!"
"Uh-oh!" said Kyle as he quickly knew what he had just went through.
"Kyle, where is he?" asked Apple Bloom.
"Uh, he must've stopped off for a new can of cologne." said a very apprehensive Kyle.
"Oh, thank goodness." chuckled Apple Bloom.
Kyle returned the giggles, "Yeah, he forgot it when he jumped out of the plane." the giggles soon transitioned into shocking gasps from the crowd, along with the main cast.
"He jumped out of a what?" asked Apple Bloom.
"A plane, it's a machine we humans use to help us fly. Unfortunately, we also use it for something called skydiving in which one operates the plane while another jumps out of it into the sky falling until they open up a soft cloth called a parachute to help slow them down and gently land onto the ground."
Apple Bloom gave a look of stun.
"But don't worry, last time I saw him, he was floating safely to the Earth."
Apple Bloom grabbed his tux and pulled him close to her in a fit of panic, "YOU TOOK HIM SKYDIVIN'!?!?!?!"
"Well then where is he, what if something happened to him!?!"
Kyle hyperventilated, "D-D-Don't worry, he said if anything were to happen to him, I should marry you myself."
Apple Bloom then gave a short silent look, "APPLEJAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed as she ran back to Applejack for another comforting hug.
....Meanwhile, Back in Dallas....
Nathan had managed to make it down safely to the ground and tossed the parachute aside.
"Made it safely!" he exclaimed, but then he looked at a wrist watch that had magically appeared on his wrist. Once he saw the time, he gasped in horror.
"IT'S ALMOST 11:00, THE WEDDIN' STARTS IN 15 MINUTES, OH HOW AM AH' GONNA GET BACK TO EQUESTRIA IN 15 MINUTES!?!?!?!" his luck however soon changed when he saw that he had landed in front of a DART light rail station. He saw the map of the line this station was centered on, to his relief, it was the Blue Line, in which one of the stops was Piedmont where the now closed down orphanage was.
As he took out money and bought a ticket, he quickly saw a bunch of people staring at him in surprise.
"We saw you jump out of that plane." said one guy.
"That was the coolest thing ever." said another.
"Well uh thanks, but Ah' have a little bit of a problem."
"Before you start, why are you dressed like a royal guard for Queen Elizabeth?" asked a man.
Nathan gulped in fear, but stood up for himself, "Well, uh, that's part of the problem. There's a weddin' goin' on today, and well, not only is it royal themed, but Ah'm the groom."
The small crowd stood in confusion.
"Wait, if you're the groom of this wedding, then why did you jump out of a plane?"
Nathan hung his head low in shame, "Well, Ah' had a talk with mah' bride's brother and he said that bein' married meant givin' up on fun things. So Ah' wanted to get one last fun thing outta mah' system before Ah' got married."
"Man, I don't know why you would do such a foolish thing like that." said another man, "But you should explain that to your soon wife. Do you need me to give you a ride to your wedding?"
"Yes, that would be very grateful." said Nathan.
"All right, follow me to my car, all you have to do is tell me where to drop you off at."
"Ah' want to be dropped off at the old Lone Star Orphanage building."
"Why there, isn't your wedding in a special building or a church?"
It was nearing 10:52 AM and Nathan was inside the passenger seat of some stranger's vehicle, a person he had never met in his entire life. But that was the less of is worries, he was more focused on getting back to Equestria in time for the wedding in hopes that Apple Bloom wouldn't kill him for all he had just done, Big Mac had told him that he would have to be giving up on some things in life, but he never understood what he was truly telling him.
Anyway, here he was in the passenger seat of a Ram 1500 with a man he had never met before taking him back to the only property in town where the portal to Equestria could be activated. As they were riding, they also talked about all the weird things Nathan had discussed.
"So let me get this straight, you are actually a bat-winged alicorn born as a human?" asked the man.
"Yes."
"When you were a kid, you were sucked through a portal into a world called Equestria."
"Yes."
"You went through a series of tests of courage to where you passed and God turned you into an alicorn."
"Very true."
"So, you're about to marry a beautiful earth pony named Apple Bloom after you dated her for six months."
"Yes."
"And last, you wanted to get one last so-called 'adventure' after this Big Macintosh guy told you that being married meant you would have to give up a lot of thing in being single."
"Yes."
This man then started laughing hysterically as Nathan looked puzzled.
"What's so funny?"
"You really expect me to believe all of that?!" he said as he guffawed.
"You won't be laughing once we get to the old orphanage." Nathan said, confident.
"Okay, I'll let you prove it." said the man as the old orphanage quickly came up into view, thanks to Nathan's strong memory all the way back to when he was a kid. Once the man pulled up in front of the old building, Nathan undid his seat belt, unlocked the door, and climbed out. But the anonymous man still had less confidence in believing what Nathan told him was true, because he still had a small smirk on his face.
"Ah' know what your thinkin'."
"Okay prove that this portal works." the man said while snickering at the same time.
"Fine." Nathan said as he hopped out of the truck and quickly jumped over the old fence and into the tall uncut lawn. He then rolled up his sleeve, turned on the wrist remote he had always carried with him whenever he traveled in between worlds and then suddenly a black hole portal opened up. The man quickly went from laughing to shocking as he stared in awe by what he was seeing, Nathan was really not kidding around.
"LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW!" yelled Nathan as he smiled.
"I must've hit my head really hard this morning." said the man.
"WELL, AH' HAVE TO GO NOW, THANKS FOR THE LIFT. OH F.Y.I. DON'T TELL ANYONE WHAT YOU SAW HERE UNDERSTAND!?!"
"YES, THANK YOU NATHAN, HOPE ALL GOES WELL!!!!!!!!!" the man yelled back as he quickly drove off, Nathan then stepped through the portal to head back to Equestria.
....Back in the Crystal Empire....
The Crystal Heart was slowly spinning around in its center when it suddenly beamed a flash of light and out shot Nathan, still in his royal uniform, yet back in his pony form. He quickly looked at a clock tower and saw that it was 10:55 AM.
"Okay, now Ah' just have to get back inside the castle and redo mah' mane!" he said as he quickly dashed into the Crystal Palace and found a restroom to take care of that, once he had his mane fully made well again, he flapped his wings and took off out of a balcony to head back to Canterlot.
"Oh Ah' hope Apple Bloom don't kill me for this!" he said as he flew across the sky.
....Back in Canterlot....
All of the crowd that was inside the reception room were really starting to lose their patience, it was already 11:05 AM, which meant Nathan was five minutes late thanks to his misunderstanding of what Big Mac told him. On the other hand, Kyle and Luke were doing their best to keep confidence in the crowd and percipient group that were part of this big event that Nathan was okay and would be here eventually.
Kyle, Luke, and Gallus were keeping the crowd at bay by making up a little tune and having them follow in on singing it with them.
"You say potato." sang Kyle.
"We say Po-ta-to." sang Luke as he pointed his fingers at the crowd as a sign to repeat the lyrics, the grumpy and annoyed crowd followed in.
"You say potato, we say po-ta-to."
"Potato."
"Po-ta-to."
"Tomato."
"To-ma-to."
"Potato, po-ta-to, tomato-to-ma-to."
As they continued to stall time, Gallus turned to Twilight.
"I don't know how much more we can take."
"I know Gallus." said Twilight, "I'm hoping we don't have to cancel."
"Aunt Twilight, I can't take it anymore, we were supposed to have started seven minutes ago." whispered Flurry Heart.
Twilight cringed in fear, the crowd was getting annoyed, the bridesmaids, groomsmares and best mares were getting annoyed, and Nathan was still nowhere to be seen. Even Apple Bloom was getting irritated as well, for she was now having fear that Nathan had changed his mind about the marriage and ran away.
"Attention everypony, I know it's late into this, but we need to have hope." said Princess Twilight, only to be answered with negative chatter. But before the crowd could do anything, they were interrupted by the sound of the doors slamming open, they soon turned their attention and quickly gasped at what they saw. There at the foot of the opened doors stood Nathan, his mane had been moose back, his uniform firmly pressed and ready, and he had a small nervous smile on his face. But incredibly, the crowd soon went from grumpy to happy as they applauded.
"NATHAN, YOU'RE ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!" said Applejack as she went up and hugged him, but quickly slapped him on the cheek.
"Ow, what in tarnation was that for?!" Nathan asked as he rubbed his cheek with his hoof.
"Are you outta yer' mind, how could you do this on your own weddin' day?!" she exclaimed.
"Yeah Nate, explain how you could just ditch a good part of your life for doing something so dangerous such as skydiving?!" said an angered Luke.
"Well!" said Princess Twilight
"Explain!" said Flurry Heart and Skyla
Soon, Nathan was surrounded by an angry crowd, but they were suddenly stopped.
"DON'T TOUCH HIM!" said an all too familiar voice from the crowd, they soon turned to see that it was none other than Big Mac who was showing a remorseful look on his face.
"Don't blame Nathan for this, he had nothing to do with it."
"What are you talkin' about Big Mac?" asked Applejack.
"All right Big Mac, what really happened?" demanded Applejack, Big Mac closed his eyes in disappointment in front of the crowd as he walked up and stood beside Nathan.
"Last night, Ah' had a little talk with Nathan, and it was about the risks of being a married pony. Ah' told him that when he got married, he was gonna have to give up on a lot of things that only a single pony could have all to himself. Ah' also told him that being married also meant that he has to be understanding and put his wife and children before himself."
He then turned to Nathan, "But when Ah' told you that you were gonna give up some things, Ah' didn't mean you were not gonna have fun anymore." Nathan hung his head low as Big Macintosh faced the crowd of angered ponies.
"So Ah'll admit it, it's not Nathan's fault, it's mine. Ah' should've explained this to him earlier before all of this, had Ah' did it then, this never would've happened, Ah'm sorry."
The crowds quickly saw that Big Mac was truly remorseful for telling Nathan that stupid talk last night and that he really had no intention of ruining such a good event that had not happened in a while. So their faces quickly changed from being angry to sad and cheerful smiles as Applejack put a hoof on his chin.
"It's okay Big Mac, we know you didn't mean it. Just next time, try to be a little more comprehensive about what your tellin' ponies."
"Don't worry sis, Ah' will."
Nathan suddenly interfered, "All right, now that all that hogwash has been settled, let's get started." he said as he ran up to the front of the room and stood next to a group of four ponies that had a violin, bass, piano, and flute all ready for the action.
"Okay, punch it." he said to the band, that was their cue to start playing their assigned instruments. As they started playing the typical theme song for a wedding, the crowd stepped aside to reveal a red carpet. Through the doors came in Cinnamon Swirl levitating a basket full of flower petals, as she trotted down the carpet, she used her magic to lightly and gently throw the petals onto the carpet. She was just about to be mid-room when all of a sudden.......
"WAIT, STOP THE WEDDING!" she screamed, everypony gasped as the music ponies stopped playing.
"Cinnamon, what's the matter?" asked Luke.
"I ran out of flowers, I'm sorry." she said.
Luke smiled, "Sweetheart, it's not your fault, the problem is the room is much too big."
Luke then turned to the crowd, "Wasn't she terrific everybody?"
The crowd of ponies and creatures applauded with hooves and claws.
"I did the best I could." she said as Luke brought her aside, the music ponies resumed their playing as the sound of more hoofsteps approached the doorway. The crowd made a sideways position and in came Apple Bloom in her beautiful western made lace wedding dress. Big Mac stood in front of the stage as Nathan stared at her beauty with a loving grin, once Apple Bloom was in front of the stage beside Big Macintosh, he then lifted the veil off her face for full view as she and Big Mac wrapped forehooves around each other while Twilight stood in the center on top of the stage.
"Who gives this pony to this stallion?" asked Twilight.
"Her sister and Ah' do." said Big Mac as Nathan prepared to bring Apple Bloom on to the stand, but was having trouble getting her separated because Big Mac was still having a hard time letting it move.
"Big Mac, let go." said Apple Bloom.
"Sorry Apple Bloom." said Big Macintosh, he then let go of her and sat down as Nathan took her onto the podium.
Twilight went on, "Dearly beloved, we have waited a long time for this momentous occasion, a very long time." she said as Nathan and Apple Bloom turned and faced each other.
"May I have the rings please?" she asked, Frostbite came up levitating a pillow that contained the rings as Kyle and Luke took them and gave them to Twilight.
"Thank you and thank you." she said to them.
"You're welcome." said Kyle.
"And you're welcome." said Luke, and they walked off the podium. Twilight then levitated a ring attached to a string looking like a necklace.
"Nathan, wrap this ring necklace around Apple Bloom and say 'With this ring, I thee wed'."
Nathan used his magic to levitate the necklace around Apple Bloom and it fit perfectly.
"With this ring, Ah' thee wed." he said, Twilight then levitated a ring and gave it to Apple Bloom.
"Apple Bloom, place this ring on Nathan's horn and say 'With this ring, I thee wed.'."
Apple Bloom picked up the ring with her teeth and gently slid it on Nathan's horn.
"With this ring, Ah' thee wed." she said.
"At this time, Nathan would like to pledge his love for Apple Bloom with music." said Twilight, Nathan and Apple Bloom then walked over to a piano where Nathan started up in singing with a beautiful country twang. as Shining Armor and Cadance watched from the crowd with tears of joy while Big Macintosh and Applejack just showed soothing smiles.
"Every time our eyes meet," "this feelin' inside me" "is almost more than Ah' can take."
Apple Bloom started shedding tears as Nathan continued singing, Kyle and Luke smiled. Skyla and Flurry Heart were overwhelmed by their brother's twang, the student six were in awe, and the main six were in joy at how good he was doing.
"Baby, when you touch me," "Ah' can feel how much you love me," "and it just blows me away." "Ah've never been this close to anyone or anything," "Ah' can hear your thoughts, Ah' can see your dreams."
"Ah' don't know how you do what you do," "Ah'm so in love with you," "It just keeps gettin' better."
"Ah' wanna spend the rest of mah' life," "With you by mah' side," "forever and ever." "Every little thing that you do," "baby, Ah'm amazed by you."
As Kyle started playing drums and Luke started playing guitar, a projection screen that was hung on from the ceiling started up and it showed pictures of Nathan and Apple Bloom from when they were babies and so forth while Nathan continued singing.
"The smell of your skin," "The taste of your kiss," "the way you whisper in the dark."
"Your hair all around me," "baby, you surround me," "and touch every place in mah' heart."
"Oh, it feels like the first time, every time." "Ah' wanna spend the whole night," "in your eyes."
"Ah' don't know how you to what you do," "Ah'm so in love with you," "it just keeps gettin' better."
"Ah' wanna spend the rest of mah' life," "with you by mah' side," "forever and ever." "Every little thing that you do," "baby Ah'm amazed by you."
For the final verse Apple Bloom sat next to Nathan and they sung together.
"Every little thing that you do," "Ah'm so in love with you," "it just keeps gettin' better.
"Ah' wanna spend the rest of mah' life," "with you by mah' side, "forever and ever."
Now it was Nathan again.
"Every little thing that you do," "ooooh, every little thing that you do," "baby Ah'm amazed by you."
Nathan finished the piano chorus and the crowd applauded by stomping their hooves and clapping claws as he and Apple Bloom walked back onto the podium.
"May your lives be filled with harmony forever." said Twilight, "Apple Bloom do you take Nathan Cadenza to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in honor in sickness, till death do you part?"
"Ah' do." said Apple Bloom, Twilight then turned to Nathan.
"Nathan Cadenza, do you take Apple Bloom to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish, in honor and in sickness, till death do you part?"
"Ah' do." said Nathan, Twilight then looked at the crowd.
"With the power invested in me, I now pronounce you mare and colt, you may go on......" Nathan knew what his aunt was gonna say next because he bent down Apple Bloom and kissed her on her lips.
".......kissing the bride." she said anyway, "Fillies and gentlecolts, I now present, Mr. and Mrs. Cadenza." Nathan and Apple Bloom then faced the crowd as they applauded once again, then he and his new wife walked out of the room, hooves holding each other, as the whole crowd started following them outside to the gardens where the reception would be held.
It had been such a wonderful time for all of Equestria as the newest couple were now officially husband and wife. Now everypony and creature was outside in the botanical gardens, the same ones that they were when Cadance and Shining Armor got married and had their reception many years before, but now it was Nathan and Apple Bloom's performance. While everyone was having snacks and drinks and talking to each other, Nathan was talking with his two human friends about all that had happened.
"So you and Big Mac talked over it?" asked Luke.
"Yes, but Ah' misunderstood him, that's all." answered Nate, Luke then turned to Kyle.
"Kyle, you should've denied the effort to take Nathan out doing something dangerous."
"I know Luke, but he kept pressuring me."
"Don't sweat it, you need to learn when to put your foot down."
"I will, it'll just take a lot of work."
"Kyle, you're 30 years old, it should've worked long ago."
Kyle face palmed and was just about to slap Luke when all of a sudden.........
"Attention everypony," said Twilight, everyone then turned their attention, "I believe Apple Bloom has decided to have Nathan join her in vows."
"Look y'all, we'll finish this later." And Nathan ran up to a stand where his new wife was standing and waiting for him. He got up onto the stand and stood in front of a table where there were two sets of written vows, as Apple Bloom kept hers on the table pressed with her hoof, Nathan lit up his horn and magically grasped his vows.
"Ah'll start first." said Apple Bloom.
"Nathan Cadenza, you are the most lovin' pony Ah' have ever cherished. Ever since the day ya' came to Equestria, Ah' have had much thought of how much Ah've seen ya. Ya' have been there for whenever Ah' needed ya, ya have been the bravest pony ever, and ya' have shown more courage than any other pony Ah' have seen. Plus, you have a heart that has solid gold for true love, ya' see me as the love of your life, ya' have a body that looks like it was carved by sea ponies and a face that looks like it was painted by the pillars. Ah' love ya' Nathan, and Ah' hope that our marriage goes through like a smooth flowing river for as long as we both shall live, Thank You."
Everypony and creature applauded as Nathan went on with his share.
"Ever since Ah' first sat eyes on you Apple Bloom, you've always been the star of mah' pupil. Ya've been nothin' more than the big twinkle in mah' eyes, ya' have the mind of a brave warrior and the heart of a true southern gal. Yer' the first and only gal to ever bury a hole in mah' heart, yer' body is that of an angel and yer' eyes are shiny as stars. Ah' love ya' Apple Bloom and Ah' am very pleased to have ya' as mah' wife, thank you."
Once again everypony applauded, now it was time for the dancing as everyone got around and watched as Apple Bloom started dancing with Big Mac while a now older Vinyl Scratch (DJ-PON 3) started up a smooth country song she and Nate came out with.
Nathan could not have been more happy to see his new wife dancing with her father-like brother. This went on for about five minutes, once it was over, everyone applauded as it was now time for vows from family, the first was Twilight.
"I wish the very best of a new life for you Nathan, and to my new niece-in-law, Apple Bloom." she said, next was Applejack.
"Ah'm very fortunate to now have a brother-in-law." she said.
"As am Ah'." said Big Mac.
"Congrats to you all, I cannot say how happy I am for you." said Kyle, who was holding back tears of happiness.
"We thank y'all for comin', but now we believe it's time fer the biggest moment of them all......"
"CAKE!" screamed Apple Bloom as she and Nathan walked over to a mountainous white cake that Pinkie, Luster, and Cheese made from scratch. Before they could slice, Nathan turned to them with a smile.
"Thank for makin' this for us, we know how much effort it took to do this." he said.
"You're welcome Nathan." said Cheese.
"You two deserve it." said Pinkie.
Since Apple Bloom and Nathan were the bride and groom, they would be the first to have a slice. So Nathan lit up his horn and levitated a huge cutting knife, then gently sliced off the first piece and put it on a plate. He then took a small piece of the cake and put it in Apple Bloom's mouth, soon Apple Bloom took a small piece of it and put it in Nathan's mouth, as a little love joke, Nathan took some icing and booped Apple Bloom's nose with it, and she did the same to him as everypony and creature laughed.
"All right everypony, who all wants some of this cake?!" Nathan yelled, soon he and his wife were cornered with ponies and creatures holding plates and forks all at once.
"All right, all right, one at a time!" he ordered, soon they all had a piece and ate. It tasted so good, they could not even ask what was in it. Vinyl Scratch then played more music for entertainment as they all danced. Even Twilight, who could not dance as a young unicorn, was making moves of her own and Nathan could not have been more happy to see his own aunt actually dancing along with the beat. This all went on for the next several hours until it was time.
Later that afternoon, the wedding crowd had escorted Nathan and Apple Bloom to a royal carriage that was identical to the one Cadance and Shining Armor used when they got married, it was white and had a sign the read "Just Married" nailed at the bottom back of it. Only this one was decked out and custom made to look like a western carriage, it was going to be towed by royal guards, except they wore western wear, neck ties, and cowboy hats. Shining Armor walked up to Nate and put a cowboy hat on his head while Applejack did the same to Apple Bloom.
"Thanks Dad." said Nate as he hugged his father.
"Thank you Applejack." said Apple Bloom, and she and Nathan hopped right into the carriage that was about to depart to Appleloosa for their honeymoon. But before they departed, Apple Bloom held a bouquet of flowers and threw them out the back window of the carriage, and the one that caught them was Luster Dawn. Kyle and Luke smiled at their best friend and they shared a hug as Nathan reached out his forehooves through the window. Soon the carriage was ready and the royal guards prepared their hooves and took off with the newly wedded southern ponies in two as the wedding crowd watched and applauded while fireworks were shot up and exploded into the night air, signaling that another wedding went successful.
