Magic To The Sunset

View Online

Two months has passed since Princess Twilight returned to the human world.

Not only did she meet her Human friends again, but also got the chance to hang out with her new friend, Human Twilight. The two counterparts finally knew each other more than ever after saving Camp Everfree from the return of the Sirens, but also saving the world as well. However, Princess Twilight had to work on handling the Sirens situation all over again. Of course, she and her friends somehow knew that the Statue was leaking magic and sooner or later she might have the solution to fix this problem. As for the Mane Seven in Canterlot High, they headed for different locations to stop the magic from getting out of control.

In Front Of Canterlot High

"Sunset, Where all of our friends?" Human Twilight asked.

“Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy went to alleyways in the city to find any magic. And Pinkie Pie and Applejack went back to Everfree Forest to find any magic there." Sunset answered.

“Do you think this is getting redolent? This has been going on since… um… “Princess Twilight” went back to her world. I know you're trying to make our world more normal, but Rainbow Dash never uses her powers here. So, this would get this issue over with faster."

Sunset then stood up to Human Twilight. "You still don't understand. Me and Dash had this argument all the time, and she never listens to me. I just don't want EVERYONE to know that we have powers."

Human Twilight put a hand on her shoulder. "If this is about the fact that you're also from Equestria, then you're really getting to paranoid about this. I mean, I never know what it feels to become a princess, but even I can handle this “Magic Powers” fiasco.”

"To be a hero around the city?" Sunset explained. "I don't. But, Rainbow Dash wants to, as if that isn't a selling point. And the reason why we keep going with this is because “This Twilight” has to fix the Sirens situation in Equestria maybe by having talks with Star Swirl. So far, she gave me a massage that she's almost done fixing this problem and she might be able to fix another."

Minutes later until the sun slowly set, Human Twilight continued talking with Sunset. At the same time, the Mane 5, along with Spike, finished their investigations.

"That was fun!" Pinkie Pie excited hopped with excitement.

Applejack sighed with relief. "At this point, I'm hopin’ that Princess Twilight character is done with her business wherever she is. This is already the time I had to go back to Everfree Forest and find any magic that hasn't been there ever since our tussle with the Sirens. And’ that doesn't even compare to how many times I had to find these."

Suddenly, Fluttershy appeared with Spike in her arms, followed by Rarity.

“Honestly, Sunset. Do you have any idea how long I have to hear Rainbow Dash complain about using her powers?"

"I know, I know..." Sunset nodded with disgust.

"Rarity, I this is going on for about two months. But, you should know we have to do this. Otherwise, the magic might go to a very far distance to another city... Or maybe the whole world..." Fluttershy chimed in.

"Darling, I don't have a problem with this. But still, I can't take Rainbow's complaints!" Rarity rolled her head.

Sunset started looking around. "Hey. Where's Rainbow?"

"She walked all the way home, upset after an argument with Rarity..." Spike explained. Sunset sighed and she decided to call Rainbow.

***

Rainbow came to her room, face planting on her bed with tears and anger after she had her argument with Rarity.

"I know Sunset has a point but this has been going on for two long months. I just want to get this over with faster. But Rarity decides to be like: But darling, if we get exposed. Then, we will be heroes and have to do cheap work." Rainbow facepalmed in disgust, screaming to herself. "I know I know! I KNOW! I just can't take it anymore!"

Suddenly, her cell phone started to ring and she picked it up and answered.

“Rainbow! What are you doing at home?" Sunset asked.

“I don’t wanna talk about it." Rainbow groaned.

“Dash, you have to get over this. Do we really have to go over this again?” Sunset rolled her eyes. Before she could expect an answer, Rainbow said nothing and hung up. Sunset sighed and told everyone that she had just hung up.

"I rest my case..." Rarity folded her arms. "If she wants to be a superhero, then I’d say live and let fly..."

Human Twilight gave it some thought. "Rarity, I don't think Rainbow wants to be a superhero anymore."

Sunset knew where that was going, and had to interfere. "Girls, don’t let it get to your head. Remember the argument you had during the Battle of the Bands? I get that you want to do your own thing for the band, but you almost failed to stop the Sirens from talking over the world, and not the School. And you, Rarity, are going through the same thing you did back then. I know this is not appropriate to talk about this but Rainbow Dash is not learning anything from this."

Applejack than said "So what? We learn our mistakes and even if we never said sorry to each other, It doesn't matter anymore. Since she's the one who hogs the spotlight all the time."

"Do you forgot that you're the one who started this whole argument?" Rarity said to Applejack.

Applejack lowered her eyes in shame. "Oh. I never thought I was the one who made everything worse. I just wanted to help, but I didn't think what I did made our band a disaster."

Sunset came to Applejack and comforted her. "It was neither your fault, nor Rarity’s, and we shouldn't blame Rainbow for it. The Sirens were mind controlling everyone in the school, and even had the upper hand during the tournament. Even if you had issues that bands go through, you all should know better for the most part. Rainbow Dash even had an idea about having us in a band. Sure, she keeps saying it’s “her” band, but she doesn't think that anymore. The only reason you didn't apologize to each other is because we were running out of time.

Everyone nodded, agreeing with her words. It was then they heard a loud noise coming from near them. Another magic surge leaked out from the statue, and was heading to where the sun sets.

"Oh no. Not again." Applejack watched in disgust.

“Maybe you should go home..." Sunset suggested. Applejack nodded before waving to her friends and making her way home.

"What about Rainbow Dash?" Spike wondered.

“I don't think she would want to talk to Rarity right now..." Sunset answered. And with that, she, Human Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Spike, Rarity, and Fluttershy started to follow the magic surge, which was leading them to an unknown location.

Motels In The Deep Forest

Sunset and her friends were on the chase, Pershing where the magic was coming from and going. It was then it made its way into a forest, which appeared to be more different compared to the Everfree Forest. Although there was no roadway in sight, there was a hiking trail that sat by the entrance. The stunning capacity of trees can easily make anyone lose sense of direction in minutes. Some of the girls were indeed having second thoughts about this unknown trial. But, Sunset was eager to move forward without fear.

Rarity paused. "Ummm… It's almost night time, and we should go back."

"After we find where the magic has landed." Sunset replied.

Human Twilight retorted. "I don’t know, Sunset. This isn't like our camping trip. This Forest looks forbidden, and I don't think it's safe for us to go further."

Fluttershy agreed. "The last time I came here, there were mean animals, which the forest more than scary."

"But, you love taking care of animals. You even have the magic to prove it." Spike said. Fluttershy agreed with that statement, but it wasn’t until she reminded of long ago.

FASHBACK

When Fluttershy was six years old, she was playing a game of football with Rainbow Dash. But, she played poorly when she failed to catch the ball. It unfortunately made its way through the darkening forest. Rainbow insisted that she should get the ball since she didn't catch it. But as soon as she found it, she realized that it was stuck on top of the trees. She tried her luck to climb her way up, but she couldn’t reach it. Oddly enough, she heard a loud roar coming from out of the forest. Fluttershy screamed and ran away from the forest as quick as she could. Therefore, there was no way to get the ball at all.

END OF FASHBACK

"Wow!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, stunned. "You were really brave enough to find that ball… were you?”

"That's not the point..." Fluttershy shuttered. " the point is that I never went back to that trail ever since. And, I prefer not to go back there now…”

Sunset had an idea.”I think we can resolve this. Since you all really don't want to get hurt or anything worse, maybe we should hold hands together… or stay close.”

Everyone listened to her, despite Fluttershy holding Spike. They all argued as they slowly walked toward the trail.

***In The Deep Forbidden Forest***

The girls were still on the search for the magic, but at the same time, they were holding their own after stepping their way through the forest. Soon enough, they were unaware of various animals surrounding and claiming territory. After thirty minutes, the girls found where the magic has closely landed. They then came across an open area where they see an old road leading to small houses.

Human Twilight sighed with relief. "Well, this is even more dangerous than I thought..."

"At least we made it..." Sunset replied. It was then she saw the magic levitating in front of a motel, close by one of the mailboxes by the road.

“Twilight you should go get it. You should have the power to embrace it." Sunset suggested. Human Twilight obliged, walking across the road and getting close to it. Just as she tries to get the magic, it somehow moved all over the place. The others try to help, but it was no use, seeing that it’s gotten out of control.

“Why does it doing that?" Pinkie Pie said. "It's like it knows we’re trying to get it.... maybe it’s self-aware!"

Rarity groaned. "Why does magic have to be more impossible to get now?"

“Maybe it doesn't like us..." Fluttershy said before everyone looked at her. "Maybe it was scared of us..."

The magic surge suddenly went their direction, long enough for the girls to try and catch it again. But instead, they all bumped into each other again and again. Human Twilight tried her best to get it, but it wasn’t until a mailman riding his bike threw a package in front of the doors from the motel, which hit the magic surge. When it landed in front of the doors of the motel, the magic leaked into one of the untapped package holes, but the rest of it jumped away just before Human Twilight stopped it. The door opened, and out came a person, who then saw Human Twilight touching the package.

“Umm... What are you doing?" The person asked.

Human Twilight answered despite not moving her head. "I'm not doing what you think I'm doing!"

The person replied. "It's okay. I know you're not trying to steal my package. The Mailman sometimes make delivery mistakes, and I figured you must be new here."

Human Twilight slowly moved away from the package and got up while the person picked up the package.

Human Twilight couldn’t put a finger on it, but wondered what that person looked like entirely. "By the way, why do you sound like my frie-"

She paused mid-sentence, and gasped. What she saw was what seemed to be Humanized Sunset Shimmer, wearing a ponytail, a pink sleeveless shirt, and thick shorts. Human Twilight stood still with shock, while Human Sunset just stared at her awkwardly for about a minute and a half until she gotten ahold of the package.

"Just make sure you don't make this kind of mistake again..." She then closed her door with her package. Sci Twilight was still not moving because of what happened. It was then Spike found her, but at a peculiar moment.

“Twilight? Are you alright?" Spike said.

“TWILIGHT!" Pinkie yelled out. "Are you coming with us or not?"

Twilight didn't say a word, but she finally walked to her friends, with Pony Sunset still waiting for her. Sunset has obtained the magic surge with her and followed the others back to their homes.

***In front of Sunset's Apartment***

Human Twilight still couldn’t say a word after the event as she and her friends were all the way near to Sunset’s home. Sunset said goodnight to her friends making her way into her apartment. The others felt slightly awkward that Twilight was in complete silence for the past thirty five minutes. When they reached Twilight's house, she actually urged her friends to come in.

Rarity wondered. "Twilight, why you taking us in? It’s barely past ten o'clock PM..."

"Yeah! We’re supposed to get back to our homes, sleeping in bed." Fluttershy said.

“Another slumber party?!?!" Pinkie squeaked.

"We're not having another Slumber Party!" Twilight shouted out loud in front of her friends, with Pinkie groaning.

“Then what the heck is going on with you?" Spike exclaimed. Twilight took a deep breath, and whispered to their ears. Turned out, everyone was just as shocked as she was.

“YOU SAW ANOTHER SUNSET SHIMMER!!!?" They all exclaimed, much to their dismay.

Sunset's Real Fears

View Online

"YOU SAW ANOTHER SUNSET SHIMMER!!!?" Rainbow Dash and Applejack exclaimed.

Human Twilight answered. "Yes. I was just as surprised as you. Although, What I don't understand is why she's close to where we live. How am I ever going to tell Sunset about this?"

Everyone was still thinking about this, but no one has a idea for the situation. Then, Human Twilight had only one option: go to Equestria and talk to Princess Twilight. Everyone had doubts, knowing well that there’s a risk coming from visiting another world.

Applejack said "Twilight, ya know she won't agree with ya because she never thought there was ever gonna be a “Sunset from our world who lives almost close to us."

Rainbow said. "Yes. She never even have her pony friends come with her as well."

"Well, what am I going to do about Sunset? She sometimes talk to Princess Twilight when it comes to serious situations, and THIS IS A SERIOUS SITUATION!" Twilight shouted stressfully. Everyone might have second thoughts, but they’d still think having Princess Twilight back here again won't work.

“Darling..." Rarity said in light sympathy. "Why can't you tell Sunset about this?"

“Why? She’ll think I'm crazy." Twilight retorted. "And If I tell her then, what if this world’s Sunset will do? I can't just tell her to leave just because she's sleeping in a motel. And whenever we go on field trips out of town, we always stop in motels."

“I actually think this were supposed to happen." Spike followed. Everyone was surprised on what Spike’s opinión.

He began to explain. "I know it’s hard to believe, but ‘our friend Sunset’ doesn't actually come from this world. In fact, she came from Equestria because of her past in Equestria, which still must’ve been very personal to her."

Twilight reacted. "I never thought that she was from Equestria to begin with, Spike. And even though I’ve never been a pony, I'm sure Sunset can handle this. After all, she’s changed after telling me everything about her past in this world. Not to mention, she’s brave enough to take care of herself."

Sure enough, everyone agreed with Twilight. Then again, no one would ever know still.

***At Canterlot High***

Human Twilight walked her way to her school, her mind wrapped around on what she has to say to her close friend Sunset. Since there was no point of getting her counterpart to help her on this, figuring that out would take some time. Of course, she would need more time, she’d consider telling Sunset as soon as possible. After a day in Canterlot High, she expected Sunset to remain there while everybody leaves he building.

Pony Sunset called out and approached. "Twilight… You never talked to me all day, and now you told me after school you're going to say something very personal. What is going on?"

Twilight and Sunset then sat down on the steps before Twilight finally got the chance to speak to her.

"Sunset, we've been friends for a long time to the point where things have never been the same, which is great. And after Friendship Games, Camping in the Everfree Forest, and even meeting your Equestria friends as well as Princess Twilight."

Sunset could almost figure out what she was going with. "That's not only sweet, but means more to me than ever, Twilight. I like being with not only you, but everyone. I changed so much, and I don't even need to lean on Princess Twilight for help anymore."

Sunset then turned her head to the Statue, realizing that nothing was happening yet. "I really miss Equestria, and of what your pupil, Starlight, told me I needed more time."

Sunset came close to the statue and placed her hand on the portal in an emotional matter. Twilight then came close to her, asking her on what it was like being in Equestria after so long.

"It felt different than I thought the more I live here. I’d say that I miss my old friends for sure, and I never saw them since I became more independent, not until here. Indeed, the mistakes I made are still running around my head. But as you said before, they’re all in the past."

Human Twilight then finally tried to talk to her about last night. "I guess Equestria is more different than I thought. I never knew you had friends other than Twilight in Equestria. I guess being a pony is more bizarre."

“Not even. I've been here for so long that I never knew whether or not I missed my friends, now they’re more independent on their lives. In fact, Everyone has their ways of living in Equestria, more different when I missed everything that happened. Of course, Twilight being a princess is a better way simply because I study hard and work to get where I am now."

Human Twilight turned her head. "Although, all of this wasn’t the point..."

Sunset turned her head in confusion. "Oh, Okay… so what were you going to say?"

Human Twilight had to explain the best she could. "You see, when I tried to grab that magic surge, it actually made one of the citizens from the motel come out after receiving a package from a mailman..."

Sunset almost caught interest, and had to ask her what came next.

“The magic got into the package…. and the person who I saw pick it up ... was Sunset Shimmer!" Twilight exclaimed. Sunset Shimmer was stunned of what she heard. Her eyes were wide open, and was unable to even try to say anything else for a while. Human Twilight caught a glimpse of her friend, and tried to snap it out of her.

"Umm Sunset? Are you okay?"

“Uhhh… I have to go home." Sunset shook her head before getting up and making her way to her apartment.

“Sunset! Wait!" Human Twilight tried to call out to Sunset, but it was no use chasing. Instead, she decided to call her friends.

Meanwhile, The girls saw Sunset Shimmer running to get to her apartment, and pursued. Rainbow Dash used her speed powers to catch her in a stroke of luck.

"Sunset! Where’s the fire?!" Rainbow asked.

“We have ta discuss this!" Applejack replied.

Rarity approached to Sunset after blocking the door, along with Fluttershy. "It wasn’t like you to act like this when you’re in fear."

"Yeah! you always know what to do now, unless you don’t know what you knew, until you ‘knew’ knew..."
Pinkie exclaimed, almost tying her head around her statement.

Twilight rolled her eyes. "What's your problem? Was it something I said? I was expecting a response from you..."

Sunset then told everyone to get in her apartment. As soon as everyone headed inside, they sat down to listen on what Sunset was going to say to them. Sunset finally spoke to her friends about her true reasons of staying in this world. She always knew that this day was going to come, wishing it would never happen.

“Girls, I told Twilight earlier about Equestria, and she then told me about.... Sigh.. The other Sunset Shimmer who was close to us. You see, I was actually never prepared for going back to Equestria, or even miss my old friends because I lost my old ones, along with everything I did in Equestria. Before I came to this world, I was a student in Equestria where Celestia is not a principle, but a Princess of the land of Equestria. I did my hardest to get what I wanted, but after her dissuasion, I want to go on my own. And look where it got me, ruining my friendships. I literally didn't know better because of not only me ruining your friendships, but me causing all of these effects to happen: Me taking over Equestria, The Sirens, The Friendship Games, And now Everfree Forest, or so I thought. The magic surge going everywhere from place to place is really my fault. But that's not why I came here. I came here to start over, with a new life just by going to this world and changing my ways. I came back to Equestria to get Princess Twilight's Crown just to take matters into my hands, but after she showed me the magic of Friendship, my life only got better. The real reason why I didn't come with Twilight back to Equestria is because of everything I caused had Celestia send me to be here. Also, you’re more than best Friends to me because you changed me. No one would do the same to me in Equestria, especially not Princess Celestia. Of course, I had a better life in this world than my real home… but my parents abandoned me after they heard of everything I did. My ways have gotten worse while Celestia always does the right thing. And now, this day came when another me is close to us. And you know that Princess Twilight can't come back to this world because of you, Human Twilight. But now that another me is out there, she might go out in the open, possibly in front of CHS. I'll might get into serious trouble when everyone will find out that I'm not from this world. That would be my biggest fear if it would happen."

As everyone rushed in to give everyone a hug, Sunset shed miniature tears. Everyone was lucky enough to have what they did before they encountered.

“Darling... You may have made mistakes that changed everything, but you shouldn’t blame yourself. People sometimes do these things, but you make our lives the best in years before all of that."

Applejack replied boldly. "Yeah, Even though ya bully us and attempt ta break us apart, you gave us a reason ta make our lives way better. Look at how it turned out after you helped save our school from The Sirens. I also wanted ta thank ya for tellin’ me yesterday of what I did wrong."

Pinkie Pie popped in and touched Sunset’s cheek. "Yeah. You look so cute when you’re with us having so much fun!"

Fluttershy chimed in. "You may look mean in the past, but you look perfect now..."

Rainbow Dash has to pour her words in. "I mean, we still wouldn’t forget that you were bad when it came to magic problems. But, we always stopped that from making things worse. Plus, you gave me superpowers that I thought I will never have in my life."

Then Twilight Sparkle saids "And you are the reason why I wanted to start my school life again in CHS. You were always there for me through the toughest of times, and you helped me embrace my magic. That's why you’re more than a best friend."

"Really?" Sunset wept her tears.

"So true" Spike nodded.

Sunset smiled. "But what are we going to do? I mean, we still don't know why she's close to us, and I still don't have any idea how to do this."

Rainbow Dash patted her back. "Sunset, you’re not going to be replaced."

Twilight had an idea. Her idea was to tell Human Sunset everything of CHS and her counterpart. She may think it won't work, but they still don't know why she's close, and they won’t have any choice.

“Maybe me and my friends can talk to her about everything, and we'll tell her what you should explain to her later on.”

Sunset agreed, but she still thought this wasn’t the right idea. Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack exited the apartment to talk to Human Sunset.

“If this whole fiasco wouldn’t change my life, I don’t know what would...."Sunset sighed to herself.

Sunset And Sunset Face To Face

View Online

As Human Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash made their way to the motel again, they’d have to go across the forbidden forest once more. Applejack and Rainbow Dash were still a bit terrified, but Rainbow did remember back in her early years with Fluttershy. Applejack, however, never came close to the woods because her sister, Appleboom, got lost and she asked Big Mac to save her.

Human Twilight managed to get Rainbow and AJ to solve their fear problem by having them hold hands, but it surely didn't help.

“This is really dangerous." Applejack shuddered.

“Can we please use our powers to get to the motel faster?" Rainbow Dash suggested blindly.

Applejack shook her head in disgust. "We ain’t gonna use our powers in this kind of public, Rainbow! Not only would we cause a lot of noise for anyone to hear, but we’d also might have animals attack us!"

Rainbow Dash just kept thinking that Applejack and Sunset were off their comfort zones, despite the magic leaking from Canterlot High.

“You do even know what everyone will think about our powers, right?" she said to herself. Oddly enough, she had told people outside of Canterlot High about her powers as well as her friends’ powers. She couldn't bear the thought of taking all of the credit of what her friends would say anymore. But at the risk of being lectured again, she’d also tell the people she talked to to keep it as a secret.

________________________________________________________________________

While the issue was put on hold, they finally got back to the same motel. Human Twilight and her friends walked towards to the apartment, feeling nervous and curious at the same time. Human Twilight knocked Human Sunset's door, and Sunset answered in an instant.

“Hello..." .Human Sunset answered politely before the girls waved back. "Wait a minute… didn’t I saw you yesterday?"

"Yes." Human Twilight nodded, hopefully in a lesser awkward way. "Can we please come in?" Human Sunset paused and thought for a moment, but then decided to let her unwelcome visitors come in. As they entered, they found themselves surrounded by music posters and boxes filled with more of her supplies.

She gathered some chairs for her uninvited visitors to sit down but Human Twilight doesn't want to sit down.

"So... why did you want to see me again?" She asked while she making hot chocolate for herself.

“Well..." Human Twilight tried to explain, despite being speechless about this. "I see that you have a lot of boxes."

"Yeah..." Human Sunset turned to the boxes. "They’re for my supplies for Canterlot High."

“Oh…” Twilight acknowledged. Then came an awkward silence… none of the girls managed to get a word out of them, and neither does she.

“Can you give us five minutes? We’ll be right back..." Rainbow giggled nervously, with Applejack and Twilight following behind. Once she exited the building, she closed the door ran while the others stood behind.

"She's going to Canterlot High!?" Rainbow Dash was the first to exclaim.

"How am I supposed to know that?" Applejack replied, shrugging.

"Okay, just remain calm!" Human Twilight waved her hands. "I think maybe she just want to see it what are school is like unlike hers."

Her friends showed faces of disagreement, seeing that the packages that Sunset have for her maybe different other than school supplies.

"Okay, so we know she wants to transfer to Canterlot High. But, it’s not like she thinks that her counterpart being around is gonna be as awkward as it was now..."

“Twilight!" Applejack and Rainbow Dash yelled at Twilight.

“OKAY! I get it! I should talk to Sunset about this." She answered before taking out her phone and calling her friend.

Meanwhile at Pony Sunset's apartment, Sunset and Pinkie Pie started playing a Daring Do board game to melt down the awkwardness. It was then Sunset's phone starts rang, and she quickly grabbed it to answer.

“Twilight?" she answered. From the other end, Twilight spoke as Sunset was about to drink some water.

“She's going to Canterlot High!!?" Sunset exclaimed, spitting out the water

Twilight tried to calm Sunset down, but the fears came close to her.

"We should try to talk to this world’s Sunset about what's going on. Our friend is freaking out and she really needs to find a way to fix this." Twilight spoke as soon as she hung up. At the same time, Human Sunset was eavesdropping, and hearing about her Pony Counterpart.

“Um…..Are you hiding something from me? And what is this about another Sunset in this world?” Sunset interfered. The other girls were speechless, but it wasn’t till Twilight decided to finally talk to Human Sunset about everything.

“Sunset, I know this is hard to believe, but one of our friends... is indeed like you." Twilight explained.

“Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?” Human Sunset huffed, not even agreeing with that statement.

“No you don't understand." Twilight tried to gain Sunset’s attention.

“What do you mean I don't understand? Human Sunset replied. "I was being nice by letting you in my apartment, and all you've been doing is acting weird. I don't play games!"

Rainbow barged in to the conversation. "We're not playing games! You have no idea what's going on."

Human Sunset has gotten so annoyed as she walked back to her apartment.

"I don't know what's going on, but I'm not getting involved with this." She said while she close her door.

"Come on, let us in!" Applejack yelled. But, Sunset wouldn’t listen to them. It was then she was about to open her unboxed package. Little did she know that there was still magic lingering in the box. Twilight tried to open the door, but it was unfortunately locked. About three minutes later, Sunset stripped the tape off of the package, unaware of the girls really getting on her nerves for how many times they kept knocking the door. She tried to ignore them, but she snapped and gave in to opening the door.

"Will you please leave me alone!?" She yelled, while the package leaked magic. She finally took notice of it, which made her scared to get back in her apartment. The girls pitched in and finished the unwrapping that Sunset did. As soon as the package was open, they saw a black guitar with hot flames. What nobody knew was that the Magic itself was in the guitar, controlling its cords. Twilight didn’t know how to use a guitar, but she’d try to use her powers to keep it stable. As for Human Sunset, she came back in her apartment unharmed because the magic was no longer an issue.

"Okay, now I want to know what's going with this, and this ‘other Sunset’ business you’ve been talking about..." She exclaimed seriously. Twilight finally thought of what to say to Sunset. However...

Sunset had to take back some of her words. "Okay... I can believe you that there's magic from a different world. But, I still don't understand why your friend is the same as me. I still think that all of you are crazy, unless you have any idea what all this is really for."

“You have no idea what we've been doing in Canterlot High." Rainbow exclaimed confidently. "Though, we just want to know why you’re going to Canterlot High.”

Human Sunset explained. "I wanted to be more better in music, and to prove to my parents that I can be independent. I never made any friends, but I always practice hare to become a great guitar player. So, I've been taking jobs and having this good looking guitar for me to show to the principals in Canterlot High. However, my phone services are limited from where I am right now."

As soon as she came close to her guitar, Sunset examined it, seeing that the magic in the instrument stood stable, and didn’t cause any damage to it whatsoever.

“You tried fixing this?" Sunset asked.

"Yes, but not completely. I’ve never played an instrument in my life. But I know someone who can help." Twilight replied. Sunset still had no idea about the whole fiasco.

Human Sunset, along with Twilight and her friends made it to her Pony Counterpart's apartment. But Twilight and her friends hatched a plan to text them so that they all could give the two Sunsets some space. Then, Human Sunset got inside while the others stayed put. As soon as she came up the stairs and to her room, she opened the door slowly and nervously. Unfortunately, she doesn't see her Pony Counterpart anywhere. She looked around, but stopped as she came across several photos on the table. Curiosity ran through her mind before she picked them up, and after examining them, she was shocked. There were memories of her counterpart and her friends during the Friendship Games and Camp Everfree. Underneath them consisted of memories of the Fall Formal and the Battle Of The Bands.

“It can't be... This can't be real!" Human Sunset’s mind was blown. Just when things couldn’t get any weirder, Pony Sunset came out of the bathroom. Human Sunset reacted and turned to see her counterpart before receiving a fright in sight.

"Don’t panic! I know you see it as weird, but that’s just how it works."

"Panic? Who said anything about Panic? Why are you here? No! not that your living here, I mean why are you in this world? Your supposed to be in your world!" Human Sunset exaggerated.

“Calm down! I have a history over my times in Equestria... and here. And I want you to know everything about me..." Pony Sunset explained. Human Sunset took a deep breath and opened her ears to what her counterpart had to say.

Pony Sunset started to explain her life’s events in her best detail, including the last few minutes. After she finished her story, Human Sunset tried to wrap her head around it all. But still, the reasons of being in this world were ridiculous to her. Pony Sunset felt a bit awkward talking because of the fact that she was kind of talking to herself.

Human Sunset angrily blurted out. "I possibly get that you’re a pony from another world, but you shouldn’t have come here in the first place. I mean, if I was in your place, I would just stay in my own world and never come to another world. If you have problems, than you should saddle them by yourself instead of going on your own!"

Pony Sunset took heed of those words and cried. Her mistakes had gotten the best of her, and she really want them rubbed in again. Despite getting used to being reminded of her faults, she couldn’t stand the thought of losing everything she had because of them, including her pride in friendship.

"I’m sorry. I… I didn't mean to hurt your feelings it's just tha-" Human Sunset, sensing pain, tried to calm her down. But, Pony Sunset had to cut her off.

“It's not that it just I want to go on my own way. My life in the Equestria is not like what it use to be anymore.”

“Equestria?” Human Sunset had no idea where Equestria is, or the residence of it.

Pony Sunset shrugged it off. “It’s where I live, or used to. Anyway, I had to impress Princess Celestia in order to get what I want. And now, I felt like I don't need to be there anymore. Plus, I only wished you would stay far away from this town."

Human Sunset understood, and suggested something. "Twilight told me that you’re going to be in Canterlot High soon. Also, I can only think of going to my old home if everyone would see both of us."

Human Sunset followed suit. "If this whole ‘both of us out in the open’ thing is going to be a problem, then I'm sorry. It’s not my responsibly to go away. And, if you want to stay in this world that badly, then we should both go inside of Canterlot High and walk together to the office tomorrow morning ."

“Why? You really want me to believe that everyone will go along with this?” Pony Sunset asked.

Human Sunset nodded. "Your friends told me about the stuff you did, and if you think that everyone in Canterlot High is going to think you don't belong here, than you are really making your fears get into your head. I know most of the people in Canterlot High are very nice like the people at my old school. But to be honest, I never made any friends because I never needed any friends. And even if I did have friends, I would never abandoned them. See, I came to this school because I wanted to become a great guitar player, other than the fact that you’re also a guitar player. And if the classes want us to be in groups, I still don't think I have to get friends, even if you love yours so much..."

Pony Sunset understood her at the most, realizing that her counterpart never had anything in mind when it came to someone who never had friends. But, she might want to teach her about Friendship and more. Of course, she hoped that there would be more to learn for Human Sunset.

"Okay, here’s the deal. Tomorrow, we will go in Canterlot High together and talk to Principal Celestia and Luna." Pony Sunset suggested. After they both shook hands, Pony Sunset called everyone from outside back inside, and told her friends they will both go to Canterlot High out in the open. And if it all went well, their friendship would lead them to a better solution.

The bright sun rose to the sky, shining on the Canterlot high building as well as the students around the main breezeway. As for the girls, they were alongside Human Sunset, staying out of sight. The risk of seeing another Sunset would be too great, and a large commotion would be the last thing on Sunset’s mind.

Spike looked both ways, ensuring that the coast stood clear. He then signaled the girls to go, and followed them. "Okay girls, you can come out now."

Pony Sunset paused, having second thoughts. Knowing well that there wasn’t a choice in the matter, the girls saw her and tried to convince her.

"Darling, you have to saddle this." Rarity said.

“I don’t think I can..." Pony Sunset denied.

“But, you can't skip school because of her." Fluttershy pointed at Human Sunset.

Pony Sunset turned back, only to be stopped by Rainbow Dash, who tried to calm her down, with Pinkie following suit. Both of them begged her to do it, and Pony Sunset had no choice but to accept. She was still scared, aware of what would happen at any time.

Human Sunset stood by the steps of Canterlot High, expecting Pony Sunset.

“Sunset" Pony Sunset grabbed her hand and led her up the steps, but was still unaware of what’s to come. They managed to get in front of the doors of Canterlot High, despite Pony Sunset gulping in fear. As soon as Human Sunset opened the door and entered inside, some of the students turned their heads, seeing her.

“Hey it's Sunse-" Derpy exclaimed, but paused as she saw the two Sunsets. She then checked her eyesight, wondering if it was fixed it or not. She was right about her eyesight, indeed. But then again, so was everyone else. Sure enough, everyone saw the two, who were now walking. Everyone in the hallways turned their heads in silent shock and light awe, having no idea how they saw two Sunsets in one place. As a result, Pony Sunset was frightened.

As they turned to the right to get to the office, they suddenly ran into Flash Sentry. Somehow, he thought he was hallucinating, but this was no mirage for sure. "Umm? Hello, Sunset Shimmer… and Sunset… Shimmer?"

“Flash, wait! We're going to Principal Celestia and Luna because... Sunset wants to enroll into Canterlot High as a new student. Very long story."

“Oh… ok.” Flash nodded awkwardly before walking away.

"You know him?" Human Sunset asked.

“Yes..." Pony Sunset answered, but had nothing else to say.

After a minute of walking through the hallways with people staring at them, they finally made it to the principal's office.

“Okay, here goes nothing.” She said in thought as she opened to door. She saw Principal Celestia and Luna doing their work. As soon as they saw Sunset, they greeted normally. But, it wasn’t until they saw another Sunset, which made their eyes open in shock. Celestia didn't even say anything when she saw Pony Sunset coming in. However, Luna came close to Human Sunset and greeted her because she looked different and out in the open with her Pony Counterpart by her. Over the next ten minutes, they both explained about what happened between the two. This gave Celestia and Luna some time to think it through.

Thirty Minutes Later

“Luna and I took us time to find a solution for this. So…, Other Sunset, you wish to enroll here as new student? And, are your parents and/or guardians ok with this?"

As soon as Human Sunset nodded, they then turned to Pony Sunset. "And, Sunset can you explain why you’re here?"

“I really don't want my secret to come out. Please don't let me explain it, I have my real reasons, and I don't want to leave this school." Pony Sunset protested, pleading the fifth.

"You don't have to leave." Luna replied

"Sunset, everyone have secrets they don't want to talk to people, even if their keeping lies. And to me, your never lied to anyone and kept your secrets to me. Therefore, there was no need to make us think you should tell us your personal secrets. You may have done bad things in the past, but you changed, so much that everything that happened was put behind us." Celestia explained.

Pony Sunset was relieved. "Oh thank you, Principal Celestia. I promise you, this will never happen again."

"Okay Okay, don't get carried away." Luna said. "We will still need to talk about this to the students later."

By the time the two Sunsets got out of the office, they were surprised to see their friends standing by the locker.

"So how was it?" Twilight asked in anticipation.

"It was fine. But, I don't think everyone would be okay will this. Luna said this whole situation isn’t off the hook because they would still need to figure it out.

“I don’t know about this. I’m not so much as a spotlight kind of person." Human Sunset spoke in pressure. She would still prefer to be alone and hope this whole thing didn’t occur at all. But, things turned for the light worse as she was stared at by wandering students by the time she approached her new locker.

"Well, someone else's welcome didn't go as they wanted" Rainbow Dash replied.

"Yeah, but ah don't think it can get any more awkward, can it?" Applejack wondered.

Not even a day passed, and Human caught the attention of various students passing by, of even in class. Every student she came across turned his or her head and saw her, much to their curiosity. Most were either astounded or awkwardly confused of seeing another Sunset that is unlike the real Sunset they knew. She couldn’t stand this fiasco any longer, but it wasn’t until she saw her counterpart.

“This is the worse day in my life! Because of your being here long ago, my life has been a stop-and-stare show. What am I supposed to do now?" Human Sunset argued.

“Okay! So your first day wasn't as normal as you thought. But, don’t worry. I'm sure this whole thing will fade away in a moment." Pony Sunset tried to calm her counterpart down.

Rarity tried to give Human Sunset some advice. "Maybe you should talk to other people and make friends, darling.”

Sunset was irritated. "How many times to I have to say you girls? I'm not making any friends here! I can go on my own! Am I missing something here?"

“Look, Sunset..." Pony Sunset spoke to her counterpart. "I know this is not what you expect from a school like this, but people are making so many friends here. I, for one, didn't know a lot from this until I met these girls. Sometimes, you’ll have to meet a friend in order to have them understand."

Human Sunset backed up for a bit despite seeing everyone still willing to help her.
"All right fine. But, I'm sure all of this won't change my goals. Plus, you still have to fix my guitar."

All of the girls agreed before making their way home. At the same time, the Portal appeared in front of the statue, and out came Princess Twilight.

“Sunset, I think may have found a way to fix this hole magic situation..." Twilight painted. It wasn’t long before she saw Human Sunset and Pony Sunset standing.
