Having shut the door behind her, Rainbow Dash went up to her room. She sighed. I hope Sunset gets back sooner rather than later. She got up to her room and played her guitar for a few minutes before getting bored. Aw, shit...not again! Rainbow thought, before having an idea pop into her head. "Eh, might as well take a nap. It'll kill time!" She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

---------------------------------------------

"All right, now what to do..." Rainbow thought aloud as a bunch of rather attractive women seductively danced their way towards her. Rainbow's eyes lit up. "It's gonna be one of those dreams?!" she said as she rubbed her hands together in excitement. "So. Awesome!"

Rainbow thought back to the first time she had the dream she presently occupied. She was in her freshman year. All her life she thought she was supposed to like boys. She was frightened, insecure...unsure of what others would think about her. She didn't even know what to think about herself, either. She was crazy lucky to have friends and family that understood and supported her. This was one of the many reasons she valued loyalty so much. With their help, Rainbow Dash came to terms with being a lesbian. And I haven't looked back since! she thought.

"All right, ladies!" Rainbow said, wearing a huge grin. "Who wants to ride a Sonic Rainboom?"

"Me!" they all said.

Rainbow grew in size and became big enough for all of them to fit on her back. She ponied up and went full speed, instantly creating a Sonic Rainboom. She gave a satisfied smile. "That never gets old."

The sky around her filled with clouds as sounds of thunder filled Rainbow's eardrums. It began raining, but instead of rain, tiny-sized versions of her Power Symbol fell from the clouds. All the girls on her back cheered. Oh man, I am so glad Rarity told me about lucid dreaming! she thought. She landed on the ground and a stage appeared.

"Concert time! Yes!" she said with a pump of her fist. She summoned her favorite guitar out of thin air and started shredding like a motherfucker. All of her fans instantly started headbanging. A mountain of skulls slowly came up from under the ground, Rainbow standing on top like a barbarian after a slaughter. Dragons circled the mountain, breathing fire in the air.

Rainbow's guitar turned into a sword, and she leaped towards the dragons. "Get some, bitches!" she said as she plunged her sword into the neck of one of the dragons. The dragon exploded, causing trophies, ribbons and gold to rain. As she fell, she transformed her sword into a mug of cider. She chugged it, then slammed it to the ground when she landed, causing an earthquake of concentrated awesome. A flash of light temporarily blinded her and she found herself in a basketball match against five of the greatest players of all time. She easily dunked over all of them.

Rainbow let go of the basketball hoop, and landed in the batter's position on the baseball diamond. The player on the mound tossed the ball, and Rainbow hit a grand slam home run. She ran the bases and slid to home plate, only to catch a football from the receiving end of the field. She turned, twisted and outmaneuvered all the other players as she reached the end zone and spiked the ball. The football bounced and became a tennis ball.

Reacting quickly, Rainbow lobbed the ball as hard as she could before her opponent sent it back. Rainbow yelled and gave the ball a badass overhead smash, winning the game, set, and the match. Before she knew it, the stadium became crowded with robot pirate ninjas!

Rainbow used her super speed to quickly defeat them all before the boss of the gang showed up. "Oh, hell no!" said Rainbow. "You're in my house now, bitch!" She ran circles around the boss rapidly punching him until he fell down, unconscious. "Who else wants some?!" she shouted, feeling like the king of world...or queen. Whatever. She did a backflip and landed in a race car. "Wait, why am I in a race car? I can run way faster than I can drive." She drove the car into a wall, but not before jumping out in the nick of time. The car crashed and ignited. "Ahhh...explosions are awesome." she said.

She snapped her fingers and appeared at a volleyball court. The match was tied, and she had the chance to win it all! She took a deep breath, then exhaled...and jumped twenty feet in the air, swatting the volleyball with all of her strength. The impact it had on the sand caused a giant crater to form. Rainbow Dash laughed sheepishly. "Guess I don't know my own dream strength." she said. "Cider for everyone!" she shouted, clapping her hands. Mugs of cider appeared in everyone's hands and the crowd went wild and cheered her name.

"Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow grinned widely. "Fuck, I love dreams."

The chanting continued, but something seemed a little off about it.

"Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!"

It seemed like all the voices were dying down, as if they were getting further and further away from her.

"Wait...what gives?" asked Rainbow, confused.

As the crowd of voices died down, one voice in particular became stronger.

"Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!"

All voices except one were chanting her name now.

"Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!"

The voice was coming from behind her. Rainbow recognized the voice, so she wasn't scared. Just confused. She turned around to find "...Sunset?"

"Yeah. I'm in your dream. Something wrong?" asked Sunset.

"No..." said Rainbow, putting her hand behind her head. "It's just that I wasn't expecting you, that's all."

"Eh, no worries." said Sunset. "Nice place you got here."

"I know, right?" said Rainbow, beaming with pride.

Sunset thought for a moment. "I think I know why I'm in you're dream..."

Rainbow Dash smiled. "I know why you're in my dream. I have a crush on you!" she said proudly.

Rainbow Dash bolted awake. "WHAT?!"

"Okay, Rainbow Dash...calm down. That was just a dream." she said to herself. "Take a deep breath..." She did so, then exhaled. "All right, let's try that again." She closed her eyes and let sleep take her away...

---------------------------------------------

"Okay." Rainbow said. "Let's have a look here..." She conjured up a database of all her relevant memories of Sunset Shimmer.

"Moment One: Fluttershy and me sang closely to her the day I formed the Rainbooms...hm. Pretty standard. Moment Two: Sticking up for Sunset when both Vice-Principal Luna and Principal Celestia were under the Dazzlings' spell...again, normal. I'd do that for any of my friends. Moment Three: Giving her my pen...yeah, maybe this crush thing was a fluke after all. Still, better be thorough. Four: Sitting close to her while waiting for Princess Twilight... Five: Sunset tackling me before I could pony up during a guitar solo...nope. Six: Sunset ponying up for the first time..." Rainbow chuckled. "Okay, I'll give you that one, brain. It was pretty awesome. Seven: The first time I saw Sunset play a guitar..." Rainbow smiled. "Another point to you, brain. Anyone who plays guitar like that is okay in my book."

"Okay...still doubting the whole crush thing." said Rainbow. "But I'd rather be absolutely sure about this... Eight: Sunset gives me her guitar string. Again, standard friendship stuff. Nine: Sunset says I'm awesome...duh! Common knowledge, much? Ten: Me hugging Sunset after her defeat in the first round of the Friendship Games..." Rainbow thought for a moment. "It's true I don't often hug people...but Sunset's a good friend. Eleven: Sunset nuzzling me a little when I saved her...huh. I mean, I'm all about loyalty... Twelve: Snapping Sunset out of it after she blew up at this world's Twilight then comforting her...have I done that with any of my other friends? Thirteen: Sunset turning into that..." Rainbow trailed off, feeling a little unusual. She blinked and shook her head. "What was that all about? C'mon, Rainbow. Focus!"

"Fourteen: Sunset singing on the dock at Camp Everfree...she does have one hell of a singing voice...and her hair blowing in the wind..." Rainbow shook her head again. "Moving on! Fifteen: Singing with her, looking her in the eyes during the Crystal Ball..." Rainbow sighed despite herself. "Okay...starting to get a little concerned here..."

"Sixteen: She really looked good in that flamenco outfit... Seventeen: God, she looked so fucking hot in that swimsui-"

---------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash bolted awake again. "Shit. I do have a crush on Sunset! I...I can't believe it." Rainbow put her head in her hands. "God, this better not fuck up the friendship we have." she sighed. "What am I going to do?" she started to smile. "Maybe I can get dream advice from Rarity. That's been one of her prime sources of inspiration, after all!" Rainbow Dash channeled her geode and went to Rarity's, full speed.

---------------------------------------------

She arrived at Rarity's house and knocked on the door. "Coming!" said a young voice. The door opened from the inside to reveal Scootaloo's friend and Rarity's younger sister, Sweetie Belle. "Oh, hi, Rainbow Dash!" she nearly squeaked, which was surprising given her age.

"Hey Sweetie Belle. Is Rarity home?" asked Rainbow.

Sweetie Belle smiled. "I think so. Let me check!" she ran upstairs to Rarity's room as Rainbow waited. A moment later, she heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Hello, Rainbow. Sweetie said you wanted to see me?" said Rarity.

"Yeah." said Rainbow. "I've been having...weird dreams. I figured since you use them as inspiration for your designs and stuff you might be able to help me."

"I do use them for inspiration and I know a thing or two about dreams, but I can't guarantee I'll be able to help you." said Rarity as she frowned.

"That's okay, Rares. I'll take any help I can get." said Rainbow.

"Very well." said Rarity. "Let's go up to my room then."

---------------------------------------------

"So, what seems to be the problem, Rainbow Dash?" said Rarity as she took a sip of tea.

"Well..." said Rainbow, trying not to mention Sunset by name. "I just realized that I've been having dreams about a crush I have."

Rarity nearly spat out her tea.

"Whoa! Are you okay, Rarity?" said Rainbow, startled.

Rarity waved a hand signaling she was as she entered a coughing fit. "I'm fine, darling." she said hoarsely. "Wrong pipe."

"Need some water?" asked Rainbow.

"Yes, that would be nice. Thank you." Rarity said between coughs.

Rainbow sped off and returned with a cup of water. Rarity quickly drank it down and took a deep breath, then exhaled.

"Sorry about that." said Rarity as she blushed out of embarrassment. "So who is this crush of yours?" she asked.

Rainbow blushed and put her hand behind her head. "I'm...not comfortable saying who it is right now." she said.

Rarity nodded. "Fair enough. So how do you know you have a crush on this person?"

"Well...my apparent crush just showed up in my dream. I was confused at first, then she told me she thought she knew why she was in my dream. So I said to her 'I know why you're in my dream. I have a crush on you!' Then I bolted awake."

Rarity stroked her chin thoughtfully. "Hmm." she mused. "And prior to that dream, you had no romantic feelings for this girl?"

Rainbow nodded. "It just came out of nowhere! Hell, I'm still trying to process it..."

"I know how that feels..." Rarity said under her breath.

"What'd you say, Rarity?" asked Rainbow.

"Nothing!" said Rarity.

Rainbow looked at Rarity for a moment, then shrugged.

"I hate to say it, Rainbow Dash, but you didn't really need my help. That was a clear-cut dream, plain and simple." said Rarity.

"That's okay, Rarity. I guess I just needed to talk to someone about it, is all." she gave Rarity a hug. "Thank you."

Rarity smiled and returned the hug. "You're quite welcome, darling. Any time you need to talk, I'll be here."

Rainbow broke the hug. "I know." she said, smiling. She sped off back to her home, not noticing Rarity wipe sweat off her brow and breathing a sigh of relief.

Dream On

As Rainbow sped her way back home, she heard a familiar voice scream "WHAAAAAT?!" Pinkie? She changed her course and ran in the direction her friend's scream came from. She skidded to a halt to a familiar face.

"Hey, Golden Crossbow! How's it going?" said Rainbow.

"Rainbow Dash! It's going pretty good." said Golden. Pinkie Pie landed on the ground with a thud.

"Whoa, Pinkie! Are you okay?" Rainbow ran to her friend and helped her up off the ground. Pinkie stumbled a little, dazed from her fall.

"I'mma firin' mah layzor!" Pinkie said, then passed out. Rainbow Dash blinked.

"Is she going to be okay?" asked Golden.

Rainbow smiled. "Yeah. She's been in far worse situations than this. What the hell happened, anyway?"

Golden shrugged. "She wanted to get to know more about me, like what I do for a living and why I moved here...then I told her about my family and she freaked out on me."

"Hmm." said Rainbow. "Pinkie Pie may be a little odd, but you must have said something significant to make her act that way. What did you tell her?"

"You're not gonna freak out on me, are you?" asked Golden.

"Only one way to find out." said Rainbow.

"I guess you're right." said Golden. "Remember how I told you I moved in to be closer to my family?" Rainbow nodded. "Well when I told Pinkie the family members I moved here to see, she just launched into the air, screaming."

"And those family members are...?" asked Rainbow.

"My Uncle Citrus Splash, my Aunt Florid Abundance, and my cousin Lemon Zest." said Golden.

Rainbow Dash blinked. "Wait. Lemon Zest? Lemon Zest as in Crystal Prep Shadowbolts Lemon Zest?"

"Do you know any other Lemon Zests?" said Golden, smiling.

"Just making sure." said Rainbow. "Now I see why Pinkie freaked out on you."

"You do?" asked Golden.

"Yeah." said Rainbow. "She just loves coincidences like crazy."

"Say..." said Golden. "How do you know my cousin?"

"It's kind of a long story...did she tell you about the Friendship Games?"

Golden blinked. "Oh, I see! You're from Canterlot High!" he said.

Rainbow grinned with pride. "Guilty!"

Without warning, Pinkie bolted upright and tackle-hugged Rainbow Dash.

"Gah!" yelped Rainbow.

"Hiya, Dashie!" Pinkie said cheerfully. She blinked. "Wait, you know Golden Crossbow?"

Rainbow nodded. Golden braced himself for what he thought would be another freakout.

"Sweet!" said Pinkie. "I met him after I visited Sunset yesterday!"

Golden breathed a sigh of relief.

"No way! Me too!" said Rainbow Dash.

Golden tensed up again, closing his eyes.

"Uhhh...Golden? Are you okay over there?" asked Pinkie.

"Yeah!" said Golden, laughing nervously. "Well, as long as you're feeling better, Pinkie, I should go. Later!"

"Bye, Golden!" said Pinkie as she waved.

"What was that all about, Pinkie?" asked Rainbow. "I know you tend to overreact sometimes..."

"Crush?! Who said anything about a crush?!" Pinkie immediately covered her mouth.

Rainbow's eyes widened. "Wait...you have a crush on him?!"

"Rainbow Dash, I can't possibly have a crush on him! He's an OC!" said Pinkie.

Rainbow blinked and opened her mouth, but decided not to pursue the subject. Just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie...

"I mean, he's a nice guy and all, but no. I don't have a crush on him." Pinkie said earnestly. There was a rustling in the nearby bushes. "Gah!" Pinkie yelped, then ran away at top speed.

Again...just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie... thought Rainbow. I wonder if Twilight's home. She's the only one out of all seven of us who's dating someone. Maybe she could give me some advice on how to deal with this. Rainbow channeled her geode and rushed to Twilight's house.

---------------------------------------------

Once there, Rainbow smelled an odd odor. "Holy shit!" she covered her nose. "It smells like Spike ate raw eggs, crapped them out, and two skunks fucked on it!" Rainbow quickly channeled her geode and ran as fast as she could before her gag reflex surrendered. I don't know what kind of crazy science stuff she's doing right now, but I'd rather avoid it like the plague it smells like.

Rainbow's thoughts wandered back to Sunset. I hope she finds what she's looking for... she sighed, thinking of the form Sunset took during the Friendship Games. She felt her heart skip a beat, smiling dreamily. She quickly snapped out of it. "What the hell am I getting all sappy for? This isn't like me!" She put her head in her hands. Man...this is messed up. I should come clean with her the next chance I get!

Rainbow looked at her phone to check the time. "Okay...it's late in the afternoon bordering on the evening...why am I running into some boredom bullshit all over again?!" Rainbow groaned out of frustration. "Maybe there's a party or two going on?" she thought aloud. She reached for her geode, then stopped, remembering not to go overboard with her superpowers. Instead, she simply jogged her way around the neighborhood, listening for people and music.

---------------------------------------------

About an hour had passed, and Rainbow had no luck in finding a party to crash. She made a sputtering noise. "Fan-freaking-tastic." she grumbled. "I could take another nap, but even I know when that's not a good idea...usually." I wonder what everyone else is doing...I guess if they had problems, they'd contact any one of us. thought Rainbow, before her thoughts inevitably went back to Sunset Shimmer. I hope she gets back soon, I think I kinda sorta miss her... Rainbow shook her head. Dammit, Dash! Keep it together! Sunset will get back when she gets back! she scolded herself. Her stomach growled. "Well, it is just about dinner time." she said to herself. She jogged back to her house.

---------------------------------------------

Once she arrived at home, she raided the fridge and found some leftover pizza. "Sweet!" she said, and nuked the ever-loving fuck out of it. "Maybe there's a movie on or something." she said as she channel surfed. The microwave went off and Rainbow took the pizza out. She suddenly had an idea. "If there aren't any parties around...I'll just make one!" She changed the channel to a channel that only played heavy metal music and turned the volume up to the point it would almost disturb the peace. Rainbow scarfed the pizza, then danced like crazy until she ran out of energy and collapsed onto the floor, falling asleep.

Dreams

Rainbow Dash opened her eyes to a blank dreamscape. She looked around and found that she was the only thing, breathing or otherwise. "...Sunset?" asked Rainbow.

"Yes?" said Sunset, suddenly appearing behind Rainbow Dash.

"Thanks for not startling me." said Rainbow.

Sunset smiled. "I try."

"Soooo...apparently I have a crush on you." said Rainbow, blushing slightly.

"Technically, you have a crush on the real me. I'm just a figment of your subconscious in your dream." said Sunset.

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Details, details." Sunset laughed. Rainbow blushed again. "I can't help but wonder where to go from here though."

"A good place to start would be telling the real me how you feel." said Sunset.

"I don't know if I'm ready for that...besides, you-I mean she's in Equestria right now on some kind of self-discovery journey thing." said Rainbow.

Sunset furrowed her brow in thought. "Well you can't wait for too long. Holding in your emotions isn't healthy."

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Thank you, Ms. Therapist." she said sarcastically.

"Hey." Sunset raised her hands. "Don't shoot the messenger. So..."

"So...so what?" asked Rainbow.

"This is a dream, you know. You can do anything." said Sunset.

"Umm..." Rainbow blushed.

"What's the matter?" asked Sunset. "You can do anything..." she said again. Rainbow stood still, her face as red as a section of her hair. Sunset giggled and walked closer to Rainbow, swaying her hips. "You can do...anything." she said, inching closer. "Anything...to...me." she said in a sultry tone. Rainbow lost all self-control and embraced Sunset Shimmer into a long and passionate kiss, slowly stroking her hair in the process. Sunset let out a slight moan and did the same to Rainbow, causing the latter to shudder with excitement. They broke the kiss, leaving Rainbow to catch her breath as Sunset smirked. "See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?" said Sunset. "But I get the feeling you're still holding out on me." Sunset grinned.

"Hold on, now..." said Rainbow, still trying to catch her breath. "I may move fast, but even I'm not willing to go that far that quickly."

Sunset snickered. "I'm talking about first base, Rainbow. I was expecting tongue."

Rainbow blushed again. "I only just found out about this crush a few hours ago...I don't know if I'm ready to go that far yet."

Sunset shrugged. "Suit yourself. At least you know where to find me." she smiled and winked, holding Rainbow's hand.

Rainbow blushed. "Gah! How many fucking times am I gonna do that?!"

Sunset laughed. "You're fun to tease, you know that?"

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "I wonder if the real you is just as much of a flirt."

"Well you seem to think I'm just as hot as the real deal, so it's a possibility." said Sunset. "But you won't know until you-"

"Yeah, yeah..." Rainbow said, cutting Sunset off. "I won't know until I tell her how I feel about her."

"There you go then." smiled Sunset.

"Well you've kinda been drilling that thought into my head all this time." said Rainbow, smiling and rolling her eyes.

"Whatever gets the message across, Speedy." said Sunset.

"S-s-s-s-speedy?!" Rainbow blushed again. "Oh, come on!"

Sunset laughed. "Well, I think our time is up." she said. "See you later!" she said with a wave and a wink.

---------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash woke up in the middle of her living room and nearly jumped when she remembered she had the heavy metal channel on near full volume. She groggily searched for the remote control and turned the volume down, then turned the television off. Man...that was one hell of a dream! she thought, grinning. I wonder what time it is... Rainbow checked her phone. "Huh. Time really flew. And here I was hoping to skip another nap..." she sighed. "I wonder what everyone else is up to..." she thought aloud. "I think I need a shower."

Rainbow Dash went up to the bathroom and turned the bathtub faucet to hot. She took off all of her clothes and switched the water from the bathtub faucet to the shower head. She turned on the bathroom fan and walked into the shower. Rainbow took a deep breath, then exhaled, letting the heat of the water put her into a calming state.

Out of all the girls I know, why Sunset? I mean, besides all the stuff I listed off in one of my other dreams. Why did it have to be one of my closest friends? I suppose it wouldn't be any less awkward if it was Lyra, Sweetie Drops, or even Muffins or whatever she calls herself. That girl has more names than I have colors in my hair! She grabbed a washcloth and started lathering it up.

How would it even work out, anyway? She's from the same world as Princess Twilight, and we've all established she's a pony. Shit...now that I think about it, that makes this all the weirder. Rainbow thought as she began scrubbing herself. A human girl and a pony from an alternate parallel world...that's some sci-fi or fantasy shit. Rainbow laughed despite herself. Sometimes I still have a hard time believing all of it. For most of my life things have been normal. Then the Fall Formal happened and boom! Everything changed. The status quo got fucked with a rusty crowbar and died. She started to rinse herself off.

Pretty much nothing's been the same since then. It's been one magical problem after another these days, and I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see an end to it...but at the same time, it's an awesome nonstop adrenaline rush that I just can't get enough of! I just wish people weren't in danger in the process. Rainbow began washing her hair.

I'm sure there's going to be a lot more danger to come, and I want to be able to help as many people as I can...even though I know deep down inside I'm not going to able to save everyone. I'd rather not think about that and just do my best. Rainbow thought as she got out of the shower and dried herself off.

She went into her room and put on her pajamas. "Tomorrow is another day, as the saying goes." Rainbow said, and turned off her bedroom lights, slowly falling asleep.

Don't Dream It's Over

View Online

Rainbow Dash opened her eyes to a blank dreamscape again. She looked around and felt like something was a bit off. Hmm... she thought, stroking her chin. Nothing was happening. Normally something, anything would have happened by now. I thought I mastered the art of lucid dreaming...guess I was wrong. Rainbow shrugged. Might as well go along for the ride. She walked around in the emptiness, hoping to find something or someone.

Minutes passed, and Rainbow felt antsy as she continued to find only nothingness. "Okay, Rainbow Dash...just stay calm. This is a dream. It's not real. Just keep moving forward, you're bound to come across something...right?" she said to herself as she continued forward.

A few minutes more, are all she could see was still nothingness. "What gives?" said Rainbow, on the verge of having a panic attack. "Where is everyone?!" She thought she heard a noise off in the distance. "Finally!" she said, eagerly running to its source. The noise was becoming a bit more distinct, but it was something she'd never heard before.

She shuddered with uncertainty, and decided to walk the opposite direction from whence it came. The noise was still behind her, as if it was following her. Rainbow felt a chill down her spine, and picked up her pace in hopes of leaving that fucked up noise behind. She didn't even want to to look behind herself, as just the thought of doing so actually frightened her.

She could still hear the noise, only now it was steadily getting louder, as though it were now chasing her. Rainbow gasped and broke into a sprint. Her dreamscape slowly began to change from a white void to a forest with no clear path. "I...I'm lost!" said Rainbow as she began to panic. The noise became louder as Rainbow frantically ran around all of the trees in her way. "Oh god oh god oh god" After a few minutes, the forest disappeared and Rainbow Dash found a door in front of her. Deciding not to take any chances with the noise, she opened the door.

Closing the door behind her, she found a hallway. She walked down the hallway to find a forked path. "No." said Rainbow. "No. No. NO. NO!" she shouted the last word. Each path before her had a smaller door that she would barely be able to squeeze through, with no noticeable differences between the three. Sweat was dropping down Rainbow's forehead as she agonized over the path she had to take. There was no way in hell she was turning back. Before she could think it over any further, the noise returned. "SHIT!" Going for broke, she chose the middle door. She squeezed her way through.

Rainbow Dash was now inside a tunnel just big enough for her to stand up in. Her breathing became heavy, then Rainbow almost shrieked when the tunnel itself hugged her body. She could barely hold back her tears as she struggled to move forward. She could see a light off in the distance, turning her tears of sheer terror into tears of hope. She scrambled towards the light at the noise continued to follow her. The light became brighter and brighter until it nearly blinded her, but she continued to press forward with her eyes closed.

Rainbow opened her eyes to find herself back in the white void. She hugged herself, trying her hardest to calm herself down. She took deep breaths, still feeling her adrenaline pumping through her system. "Okay..." she said, still shaking. "I think it might be time to wake up."

----------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash woke up in her bed, sweating. It was still dark out and all the lights were off, even outside. Huh. Must've been a huge power outage or something. she thought.

"Who said anything about a power outage?" said a voice from within her room. Rainbow jumped and looked around, but all she could see was complete darkness...until she saw a pair of huge glowing eyes staring at her from her bedroom door. Rainbow nearly screamed as she could hear the noise from her dream off in the distance as she started to hyperventilate. The noise drew closer, and Rainbow Dash tried to force herself to calm down.

"Wh-wh-wh-wh-what d-d-d-d-do you w-w-w-want from m-m-m-me?!" Rainbow stammered, trying to reign in the terror she still felt clutching at her body. The voice that came from the glowing eyes remained silent. "Please! Tell me!" said Rainbow, desperately trying to calm herself. The noise became louder, and Rainbow Dash tried to jump out of her bed, but she was unable to move. She let out a whimper as she could feel tears streaming down her face. She closed her eyes tightly as a last ditch resort to free herself from her intense nightmare.

----------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash woke up in her bed, sweating. It was now daytime and there were birds chirping in the background. "Hell no." she said. "I've seen enough horror to know where this might be going."

"Good for you." A voice whispered in her ear as the persisting noise returned. Rainbow Dash tried to shut her eyes, but an unseen force kept them open. Rainbow concentrated harder than she ever had before...

----------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash opened her eyes and found herself in a wide field filled with flowers and a shining sun. "...Fuck this shit." Before she could take any action, she heard a thud directly behind her. She turned around and her eyes widened in shock. On the ground lay the lifeless body of Twilight Sparkle. "T...Twilight?" Rainbow said, feeling a lump in her throat. She looked up into the sky to see another body falling from a great height. "Hang on, I'm coming!" Rainbow said and reached for her geode...it was gone.

The body landed on the ground with the victim's neck twisted. "Rarity...no." Rainbow felt tears streaming down her face again. "I...I couldn't save her." Another body hit the ground with a sickening thud. Rainbow didn't want to turn around, but she couldn't help herself. Behind her was Fluttershy, smiling sadly with lifeless eyes, her body sprawled out. Rainbow's knees began to buckle as she saw Pinkie Pie's body hit the ground. Applejack soon followed suit. That only left... "Sunset! Wherever you are, stay away!!" She heard one more thud behind her. Rainbow Dash didn't have to look behind herself to know who it was. She tried to will herself to stay still, yet felt compelled to turn around regardless. Sure enough, there was Sunset Shimmer. Lying on the ground, hanging on by a thread of life. "Let me help you!" Rainbow said, trying to pick her up while barely keeping her emotions in check.

"D...don't worry...about me...Speedy." Sunset said weakly.

Rainbow gulped down a sob. "Don't you dare say that, Sunset Shimmer! I can and will get you out of here!"

"It's...already...too...la..." Sunset shuddered and remained motionless. Rainbow hugged Sunset tightly and wept, stroking her now departed friend's hair. The sky began to darken, and six ominous cloaked figures wearing masks descended from the sky. While her sorrow had not disappeared completely, a new emotion quickly overpowered it: rage. Rainbow Dash got a good look at her friends' killers, focusing on their masks.

One mask had several animals etched on it. Another mask had a plague doctor's mask etched on it. The third mask had a nightcap etched on it. The fourth was a giant question mark. The fifth was a gravestone, and the last was a king's crown which meant this one was the leader.

"You killed them. All six of them." Rainbow said, trembling with emotion. Before she could get another word in, the group struck at her.

----------------------------------------------

Rainbow Dash woke up in her bedroom again, but this time she knew for sure she was awake because the shriek she let loose had caused her parents to come running upstairs as fast as they could. They were finally home!
