What happens when a strange entity accidentally enters another world? Does it signal the end? Or is it a new adventure? That's what happens when I, a human, have an Alice in Wonderland experience and fall into the land of Equestria. Join me on my adventure as I keep a detailed record in my diary.
I...I don't know exactly how I got here...or where I am. I can't even remember what led me here. My memories are fuzzy, but bits and pieces are returning. From what I can recall, I was hiking and went for a short rest. I saw something strange, and being the curious person I am, I followed it. Everything went dark after that. Next thing I know, I'm waking up here...in a...a...hospital bed? It's so strange. I mean, I can hear movement outside my room door. But no one's come to check on me. What kind of hospital is this?!
Looking around my room, I saw my things in the corner. Doesn't look like anything was stolen. My lucky water bottle is a little cracked (insert sad face here), I guess my sleeping bag got caught on a branch or something because it's ripped, my food might've gone bad because my bag stinks a bit, and my dad's old compass is pretty banged up. You would think at least my phone would survive (since it's never broken no matter how many times I've dropped it) but unfortunately the screen is kinda broken...and it's dead. Hopefully I can charge it and call my mom. I bet she's freaking out...not like she should be. I go hiking all the time by myself and nothing happens. But I think my luck might've run out this time around.
I would get up and explore, since I'm really curious as to just where I am, but my leg hurts. I don't think it's broken, I probably twisted it doing...whatever it was that led me to this place. Hey, my camera at least survived. Maybe I can get some pictures. Looking out the window, I can tell wherever I am is really pretty. Would be a great addition to my scrapbook. Oh! It sounds like someone's coming. Better set up my camera quickly. I'm gonna give this doctor or nurse a piece of my mind.

"Mmm...almost got it...there we go! Ok so, video diary entry 1. Sounds like a doctor or nurse is coming to check up on me. Good! Because I have questions and more on my mind."
I set my camera on the night stand next to me so it's facing the door. The doorknob jiggles a bit and opens. The muffled voices of what sounds like a male and a female become a bit clearer to hear.
"Doctor, just what kind of patient is this? I've never seen anything like it before. Are you sure we shouldn't have reported it to the Princess?" The female voice asked.
"Not until she woke up, nurse. It's clearly a female...but other than that, I don't know." The male voice said, walking in first. When the male came into view, my jaw dropped. Walking into my room wasn't a doctor, it was a light caramel pony with glasses! And behind him was a snow white pony with a nurse cap and their hair pulled into a bun. "Ah, seems our patient is awake. Nurse Redheart, would you mind tending to her?" The male asked.
"Of course Doctor Horse." Nurse Redheart said, trotting over to my bedside. She checked me head to toe, checking to see if I had a fever, if my pulse was ok, if my breathing was right, and lastly seeing how my leg was feeling. "Everything seems to be ok, Doctor. The fever she had a few days ago seems to be gone."
"Ah, that's good." The doctor said and finally noticed my still wide open mouth. "My dear, you should close your mouth if you don't want flies getting in."
"But..y-you...you're...this isn't possible! Animals don't talk!" I sheiked.
Doctor Horse and Nurse Redheart looked at each other confused before looking back at me. The silence in the room extended from a few seconds to maybe a few minutes before the doctor suggested I lay back down. To this, I shook my head and practically jumped out of bed before letting out a muffled whine for my left ankle which was still apparently sprain.
"N-No! I have questions! Who, or what, are you? Where am I? How did I get here? And how long have I been here?!" After spraying off all of my questions in one breath, I panted heavily.
Doctor Horse called Nurse Redheart over to him and they spoke in a whisper for several minutes before turing back to me. "Everything will be answered in time. Why don't you get back into bed before your leg gets worse. Just relax. We're gonna get you all better in no time." And with that, the two ponies left the room.
I turn to my camera, mouth still slightly gaped open. "Um...I-I don't even know what to say at this point. Other than I'm in some strange world where ponies talk and have jobs! Where the heck am I and what kind of trouble have I possibly gotten into?!!" With that, I turned my camera off. and set it back on the nightstand before laying down.

Ok, Azure. Things have gotten weird! And as cliche as it is to say this (especially since I don't live there) but, I don't think I'm in Kansas anymore. I think I've just fallen into some kind of Alice in Wonderland type place...and I'm Alice. I hope I can find my way back out of whatever rabbit hole I might've fallen into to get here. And if I can't, then...I guess I'll have to get used to being in this strange new world.
Ok Azure. Time for a recap. Apparently several days ago, I fell into an alternate fantasy world consisting of talking ponies. I also had a fever and was unconscious till now. It took another day and a half for my ankle to get better, but once it did, I was able to walk around. Of course I didn't go far because there were places I'm not allowed to go (places like the surgeon room, the baby ward, etc.) but I did explore enough. Apparently, there are three kinds of pony races here. Unicorns (like Doctor Horse - I didn't get a good look the first time since I was so shocked that he was a talking pony), Earth Ponies (like Nurse Redheart), and Pegusi (winged earth ponies).
Talking with Doctor Horse, he told me I was in a land known as Equestria and showed me a map of all the places making up this land. I found most of the names funny because they simply mirrored places in my world. Places like Trottenham, Las Pegasus, Manehatten, Whinnyapolis, and so many more places. But I wasn't in any of those places. I was in a hospital in the little town of Ponyville. And it seems upon my arrival, I was found by some pony in what they call the Ever Free Forest. According to Nurse Redheart, ponies don't really go in there because they say it's not natural, that there's all kinds of creepy plants and dangerous monsters in there. But she also told me six brave ponies do go in there from time to time and help keep Ponyville, and probably all of Equestria, safe from dangers. I wonder if I'll ever get to meet these six ponies. They seem interesting and I bet they have plenty of amazing stories to tell. Nurse Redheart also told me today I'd have my questions answered. Supposedly, since I'm some kind of strange creature in this magical world, the ruler here was told about my arrival is is coming to see me. I wonder what this ruler is like. Are they male or female? And since this is a magical world, what kind of creature might they be? Guess I'll find out soon enough since the nurse said they'll come around noon...so right about now. Better get my trusty camera set up. Wouldn't wanna miss documenting this meeting. I mean, strange creature as I may be to them, it is still a rare and honorable occasion to meet royalty. Better start getting ready and look my best.

"Alright so I'll be meeting the ruler of Equestrian soon. I feel nervous but also honored and excited. Wonder if I should courtesy. And how should I address them? Your Majesty? Your Highness? Your Royal...Ponyness??? Ugh maybe I just shouldn't talk. Maybe then I won't make a fool of myself."
I dig through my bag and get out my hair brush and toothbrush and toothpaste. For some reason, I have my own personal bathroom...but it's convenient. I get myself all fixed up, starting with my oral hygiene (I've had awful breath since I've been unconscious for so long) and finish off with my birds nest I call hair. My clothes are pretty much in desperate need of repair and a wash. So I might as well just keep on my slightly torn up clothes. Better that then just going naked, though given these ponies don’t seem to wear clothes I’m guessing they wouldn’t care.
I hear several sets of hooves and voices coming my way. One voice I can tell is Doctor Horse, but the other voices were different. Sounded like two females, one sounded wise and motherly while the other sounded a bit deeper and had this older custom speech to it. I threw my things back into my bad and stood at attention in the middle of the room.
"She's right in here, Your Majesties" Doctor Horse said.
'Majesties?? There's more than one ruler???' I thought. I didn't have time to continue my thoughts as the door opened and I stood at awe at what I was seeing. Before me, walking in behind Doctor Horse, were two very regal looking ponies. A tall one and a shorter one. The tall one was whiter than the purest snow, with a multi colored flowing mane and tail, a very tall Unicorn horn, and a golden grown with matching shoes on each hoof and neck piece. The shorter pony was a dark midnight blue like the sky with a moderate sapphire mane and tail, a dark crown, and shoes on each hoof. I was so impressed, I didn't even notice when I had gotten on my knees and bowed.
"Hello, my dear" said the motherly voice "it is good to see that you're awake and feeling better. I have been waiting to visit you again."
"Y-You know about me...Y-Your Majesty?" I ask, obviously way too nervous to look her in the eye.
"Indeed. The good doctor informed my sister and I of a strange being. Hearing such news, we came forthwith to gaze upon thee" the slight deeper voice said. It was something similar to hearing something from a Shakespearean play.
"I-I'm honored that nobility would be concerned with someone like me" I mumbled.
Suddenly I heard hooves coming closer and then a golden shoe gently slide under my chin, tilting it up. "Please do not be afraid. Let us see your face."
Obliging, I look up and see the white pony looking down at me with a warm and comforting gaze. My eyes adjusted a bit and I noticed something almost feathery pinned on one side of her back. They looked like Pegasus wings. "Excuse me, Your Majesty, but...d-do you have...wings?"
"Yes, I do" She said and gently unfolded them. They were so wide, it looked like they were about the same length as my arm if not longer! "My sister and I both do. We are what is known as an Alicorn. An Alicorn is a pony with the horn of a Unicorn and the wings of a Pegasus and there are four of us, each being a Princess of something specific."
"A-Alicorn Princesses? Wow...this is a lot to take in." I mumble. I begin to glance between the tall Princess and the shorter one. "S-So...may I ask your names?"
"Of course, young one. I am Princess Celestia, the Princess of the Sun" Celestia said.
"And I, child, am Princess Luna, Princess of the Moon" the shorter Alicorn, now known as Luna, said.
"Now, if you are ready, I would like very much if you came with us. We have much to discuss" Celestia said. And without hesitation, I simply nodded my head.
I honestly have no clue how to really start this. Well I guess I kinda do. Ok I haven't written since the day before last because so much has happened! First I wake up in a land called Equestria which is consistent of magical, pastel colored, talking ponies. Second I meet the rulers of this land, Princesses Celestia and Luna. Apparently, they hold domain over the sun and moon...as evidenced by the strange marks on their rumps...which I later was told are called Cutie Marks. I was also told that ponies earn their Cutie Marks when they discover their special talents, which is amazing to me. I mean to figure out what your special talent is and have it be something you absolutely love, it's like a dream. Unlike back home where you have to be whatever other want you to be.
If I were a pony, I think my Cutie Mark would be in writing because I love it so much. But in reality, I definitely wouldn't have the chance to do what I want. Mom wanted me to be a doctor like her. Dad wanted me to be a tech tycoon like him. Noble professions and all, but when I say I want to be a writer, they get all dramatic and brush me off...then compare me to my older sister! Saying it'll get me nowhere then I'll run off with some boy and become some airhead pin up model or whatever she is. I mean, I know they love me, but all their nagging says otherwise.
Anyway, back to my time in Equestria. So since I left the hospital, I've been staying in the capital land known as Canterlot. It was a little awkward getting here. I kinda thought maybe one of the Princesses would carry me on their backs, but that seemed kinda foolish. So I got to ride in Celestia's golden chariot. It was pulled by two snow white Pegasus guards in golden armor...and lacked seatbelts, so I pretty much clung to Celestia's leg the whole time. But she didn't mind. She wrapped her large right wing around me and told me everything would be just fine. Luna's chariot, on the other hand, was a darker blue and was being pulled by...what I can only describe as Bat Ponies, clad in midnight blue armor. It was then that I realized that since Celestia and Luna are rulers of the Sun and Moon, it would make sense to have their own personal guards to represent the two elements as well. Getting to the capital was a smooth ride, and when I got there, I was met with strange looks while being taken to what is now my room. I pretty much expected it since I'm guessing ponies have never seen a human before let alone would know what one was.
Princess Celestia assigned a really shy and kind female Unicorn to care for me. Her name is Sparkle Dust, a very cute name. She was about around the height of my thigh with a light grey coat, gentle amber eyes and the matching color of chalky grayish black for her mane and tail. Sparkle sometimes spent little breaks with me and we would just chat for so long, time passed quicker than expected. There were times she got scolded for neglecting her duties, which makes me feel bad. I think I hear her now. Better switch over to the camera. I'm still surprised Princess Celestia let me keep it, despite Princess Luna almost destroying it. The beeping to tell me to empty the memory card startled her and I learned first hand just how frightfully powerful Alicorn magic is.

Sparkle Dust's hooves echoed in the corridor as she made her way to my room. Her white magical aura turned the knob to my room as she entered; levitating behind her was a fresh stack of towel for my bathroom. She bowed politely to greet me before tending to her responsibilities.
"How are you liking your time in Canterlot, Lady Lotus?" She asked me.
"Sparkle, you know you don't have to be so formal with me. We're friends after all. So with us, it's just Lotus" I smiled.
"Oh...right,. I'm sorry" She nervously gathered the used towels. When she got nervous like this, chances are that she’d gotten into some kind of trouble.
"Everything ok?"
"Yes...it's just..." Her ears fell flat against her head.
"Did something happen? Was it because of me?"
"Huh?! Oh no no, it wasn't you. I-I just messed up a bit in the garden. The head maid wasn't too happy about it. I'm such a klutz."
"Oh Sparkle," I go over to her and hold her front hooves in my hand "You're not a klutz, you just get nervous easily. YYou want to do a good job and impress everyone...but then your doubt gets the better of you, causing you make mistakes. It happens to everyone."
"But it happens to me far too often. If this continues, I'm sure to lose my job" Her eyes started to tear up and I pulled her into a tight hug, her small body against mine was awkward for our first hug, but I was careful not to smother her in my chest or get poked by her horn. "Wh-What are you doing?"
"Sparkle, listen to me carefully. Everyone makes mistakes. But it's what you learn from those mistakes that counts. Even I've made mistakes."
"You, Lotus? How could you have made mistakes?"
"If you saw my home life, you would see how easy it is. My parents pretty much pressured me to be like them instead of myself...and of course when I tried doing things their way, it pretty much always blew up in my face. Thankfully it was when I discovered who I really wanted to be that all the mistakes began to stop. Unfortunately my parents thought; what I wanted to do with my life was the biggest mistake. As much as they loved me, their pride blinded them...but I know that underneath everything they could be happy I've found my path in life" I smile down at her and wipe the tears from her eyes "So even with your mistakes, I know you won't lose your job here. Because you can and will learn from them."
She stared up at me with a mix of awe and relief. It was then that her smile returned and she giggled as I placed a soft kiss on her nose.
"Since you're here, how about I help you with your chores?" I suggested.
"Oh no, I couldn't have you do that. You're a special guest of the Princesses. If they found out..."
"Then I'll say it was my idea. I don't mind helping out. Cleaning a whole castle can't be an easy task even if you do have wings or magic."
"I don't know. I don't want to get you in any trouble."
"Neither of us will get in trouble. And like I said, if we do, I'll take the heat." I winked.
After a little more convincing, Sparkle let me help her. Of course starting with my room, we replaced the towels in the bathroom, changed the bedsheets, fluffed the pillows, tidied up the room, before drawing the curtains back. Afterwards we left to move on to the next room...but then I remembered, three rooms down, to come back and turn off the camera.
Sorry I've been absent the last several days, but I've been keeping myself pretty busy. Normally I don't get antsy, but being in such a huge and magnificent castle with absolutely nothing to do almost drove me insane. Being waited on hand and foot makes me feel weird, especially since it feels like I'm taking advantage of such perks from time to time. So I decided to contribute. I've been helping Sparkle Dust with her chores around the castle. It was a bit more than expected. There are just so many rooms in just one wing, I mean that’s expected of a castle, but to have only a handful of ponies caring for so many rooms seemed weird.
Thankfully although it took a few days, the other maids started warming up to me and letting me help out. I even got to explore a few other parts of the castle.
The other day, I got to see the Throne Room. Princess Celestia wanted to talk to me about how things were going and if I was having trouble adjusting. She even mentioned, how she was aware that I'd been helping out the maids with their chores. I was worried she'd get mad, but oddly enough she wasn't. In fact, she actually laughed and told me that all the maids were enjoying my infectious positivity. I was actually relieved to hear this, since making others smile has always the best moments of my day. But what Princess Celestia told me next made me more than ecstatic. She was allowing me to go into town to explore (with a few guards by my side of course). I wasn't able to write about it the day it happened, but I did record it on my camera. Let me show you!
Through the camera
Celestia's guards walk in front of me, so I have to focus the camera ahead of them to avoid getting flanks in the view. As we walk around town, I see all of the upper class ponies walking around in the finest attires, many of which would the clothing brands from my world to shame. As expected, I felt all eyes on me since I walked on two legs and (from what I heard one pony say) was dressed in rags. This made me feel a little self conscious, so I opted to do a little window shopping at the various stores and jewelry boutiques. I know nothing might fit me since my sizes are so obviously different, but seeing all the beautiful gowns made me imagine what I'd look like in them. Something modest or even a little saucy with my hair tied up, wearing the most beautifully complimenting jewelry. I'd look like the daughter of a Count or a Duke or something.
I asked the guards to let me check out the inside of one store and they let me, staying at the entrance to the store. As I looked around, a very small male Pegasus pony approached me and stared to stare. He was very adorable with his hazel coat, tiny wings, silver-grey mane and tail, and large round caramel eyes. I knelt down and smiled at him. My real instinct was to pick him up and carry him around till I found his mother, but that might not have been a good idea.
"Hello little one. What's your name?"
"Silver Flash"
"Silver Flash? That's a very nice name." It was then that the little pony went into rapid fire series of questions.
"What are you? Why do you walk on your hind legs? Where's your tail? What kind of Cutie Mark do you have?" He asked me all of these questions in one shot.
"Curious little one, aren't you?" I giggled "Well, I'm a human, it's normal for humans to walk on their hind legs and I don't have a tail or a Cutie Mark."
"Silver! Get away from that thing!" A female voice called, practically charging at me. It was a full grown Earth pony mare. She was a bluish purple with highlights of white in her mane and tail to compliment the sky blue base. She stopped mere inches away from me and swept up her son. "Stay away from my child you...you monster!"
Her outburst caught the attention of every other pony in the store.
"What? Ma'am, I wasn't going to hurt little Silver. In fact I had every intention of finding you in case you didn't realize he had wandered off. Honest." I tried defending myself, but I guess I made myself look worse.
"Liar! You were going to foalnap him!"
"What? No! I'd never do such a thing"
The guards came in and stood by my side in defense, much to everyone else surprise. The mother became more furious.
"Guards! How dare you protect this criminal! She was going to take my child!"
"This 'criminal' as you rudely called her is a guest of the Princesses" One guard said, causing every pony to gasp in surprise.
"We witnessed the ordeal. She was in no means going to harm or take your child. He approached her and merely started a conversation" The other said before turning to me. "Are you hurt?"
I shook my head, trying to hide how badly I wanted to cry, though I managed to keep the tears from flowing. After remedying the incident, the guards escorted me back to the castle. I went straight to my room and set the camera on the desk by my bed before crying my eyes out into the pillow. By sheer coincidence, Sparkle was coming by my room when she heard me crying.
"Lotus? What's the matter? Did something happen?" She asked and I tell her about the misunderstanding. "That's awful. Some ponies are just like that...but you did nothing wrong. I know it."
"How do you know?"
"Because you're too nice a person to do anything that mare accused you of." Sparkle smiled at me, placing a hoof on my head.
And with that, I hugged Sparkle and her hoof gently rubbed her back as I cried. After some time, I finally managed to cry myself to sleep.
While I was asleep
Sparkle stayed with me, letting me hold her small body against mine. Princess Celestia came in to check on me. "Princess Celestia, I'm so sorry for this. I'll get back to work now" Sparkle was about to move when she was stopped by me gently pulling her closer.
"It seems as though she'd like you to stay" Celestia giggled as she came closer. "It's quite alright for you to stay where you are. The guards informed me of the incident and I simply came to see if she's alright. I see she's in good hooves."
"Yes Princess. She fell asleep not too long ago. She was crying the entire time."
"I see. She had quite the difficult time, however in a few days time, I know something that might cheer her up." Celestia smiled. She noticed my camera was still on and used her magic to bring it over to herself. "And I think it would be best to let it remain a surprise." With that, she turned off my camera.
I've been feeling depressed since yesterday. That incident in town just ruined my mood a little. So I'm going to spend the day in bed and just sulk. Interestingly, I hear gossip that despite her normal grace and composure, Princess Celestia had a bit of a cake addiction. Maybe I’ll get lucky she'll let me drown my sorrows in a large vanilla and chocolate cake at least at least that was the plan. As much as I would like to stay in bed, it seems Princesses Celestia and Luna have summoned me to the Throne Room. I shouldn't be rude and refuse to see them, even if I am feeling awful. They are being gracious hostesses and letting me stay in their home, the least I can do is come when I'm summoned. Though, better grab my camera.
Through the camera
The guards escorted to the throne room. When I entered, I bowed respectively.
"Good morning Princess Celestia. Good morning Princess Luna" I mumble.
"Princesses, who or what is that?" An unfamiliar voice asked.
I looked up and saw that not only the Princesses were in the throne room, but six other ponies, along with a lizard of some sort. Scanning them over, I saw two Earth ponies (an orange one and a bright pink one), two Pegasi (a cyan one and yellow one), and two Unicorns (a purple one and white one). However, looking closer at the purple Unicorn, I started noticing the outlines of wings on her back. She was an Alicorn!
"This, Princess Twilight, is the girl we was telling you all about earlier. She is a human very far away from home." Princess Celestia addressed the purple Princess.
"A human? What's that?" The cyan Pegasus asked, flying over to me and inspecting me head to toe. "She looks nervous, and what's that thing in her hand?"
"Maybe she’s nervous cause yur invadin' her personal space, Rainbow. Give the girl some air. The Princesses did say she's been through quite a lot." The orange Earth pony said. Her voice had a country direct to it.
"I think she looks great! I bet she likes to party and pull pranks, and have lots of fun! Oh and we can throw her a well overdue party in the castle! A Welcome-To-Equestria-...um..what's her name again?" The pink Earth pony said. Her voice reminded me of a very hyper child who just consumed a metric ton of sugar.
"Well why don't we ask her? She looks sweet...unless she's really dangerous!" The yellow Pegasus whimpered and hid behind her flowing pink mane.
"Don't be silly. Aside from...whatever she's wearing...she seems like a reasonable creature" The white Unicorn said. She was wearing what looked like a feathery sun hat.
"Girls, why don't we introduce ourselves to her first and stop practically insulting her to her face." The purple Princess called Twilight approached me. "Hello there, my name is Twilight Sparkle; the Princess of Friendship." She extended her hoof to me and I casually shook it. "And these are my friends."
"Howdy, names Applejack." The orange-country pony said.
"I'm Pinkie Pie and we're gonna be bestest friends" The pink hyper pony said, bouncing closer to me wearing a huge smile.
"Hello, my name is Rarity, charmed I'm sure." The white Unicorn said, gently flipping her purple mane.
"I-I'm..Fl-Fluttershy" The yellow Pegasus said, barely above a whisper.
"And I'm Rainbow Dash, best flier to ever come out of Cloudsdale." The cyan Pegasus said, from her attitude, it seemed like she never really stopped flying and was a little proud of her abilities.
"My name is Lotus. Lotus Moon."
"Lotus, these ponies are not just ordinary ponies. They are also the Elements of Harmony who have protected Equestria from many dangers" Princess Luna informed me.
"They're the six ponies who've protected Equestria?!" I stood surprised. I wasn't expecting to meet them so soon. I mean, it's barely been about two or three weeks since I landed in this world.
"Yeah, we are. Got a problem?" Rainbow Dash asked, folding her forehooves.
"What? Oh no problem at all. I'm just surprised to be meeting you. I haven't heard much about you...but now I'm was really interested in hearing about your adventures."
"Oh, well we are pretty awesome. Especially me." Rainbow said, having an air of slight arrogance and pure confidence.
"Well since you'd like to learn more about us, why don't we go into town and have some tea while we talk?" Rarity suggested.
I shook my head quickly. "No...tea here would be fine."
"She's right Rare. After what happened ta her yesterday, I don't think, she's in any kinda rush to go back into town yet." Applejack said.
"We can go to the garden then." Fluttershy said.
"Great idea Fluttershy. It's private and we can all get to know each other a little better." Twilight smiled
"Come on, let's go." Rainbow Dash said, gently pushing me along as the rest trotted out to the castle garden.
(hehe sorry about that, ran out of battery life. I'm back now )
Through the camera - post battery change
Out in the garden, it was like a personal petting zoo, with dozens of exotic birds as well as many other animals. I had no idea one garden would hold so many animals. There were dozens of exotic birds and other animals.
It was here that I got to earn more about these six heroic ponies, from their adventures to their personalities. Fluttershy could understand animals on a different level than the others, but her shyness was her most endearing quality. Rainbow Dash was a weather pony who was really good with clouds, she even bringing down a few clouds to act as a little lounging spot for herself. Rarity was a genius with fashion and the moment I told her some of the dresses I saw in town, she didn't hesitate to gush about how proud she was of them. Pinkie Pie was known as Ponyville's resident party planner pony and it really wasn't hard to see why. Applejack helped run her family farm and her cooking was on a way other level than mine (I may've had about almost a dozen of the apple fritters she brought with her, they're that good). And finally, Princess Twilight Sparkle used to be Princess Celestia's student and had a great amount of magic even before becoming an Alicorn. It was so interesting hearing about their adventures, from finding the Elements of Harmony and defeating Nightmare Moon to their latest endeavors.
"...and that's when we defeated Tirek and restored every ponies Cutie Marks." Rainbow Dash finished up.
"And balance to our world. It was hard and we've all been through a lot, but we got through it together." Twilight said.
"Wow, so much rested on your shoulders. Though I can certainly see how all of you reflect your respective Elements of Harmony. It must've been really scary most of the time...especially for you Twilight. Holding the magic of three Alicorn Princesses as well as your own. How did you not explode?"
"Tt wasn’t easy, there were times when I felt like I would explode and had maintain my concentration almost constantly. Don’t even get me started one when I tried moving the moon or the sun, it was less than pleasant experience. However, it was a dire situation and I was willing to do anything I could." Twilight smiled at me. "Now enough about us. Let's hear about you."
"Oh? A-About me? Well it's nothing special. Aside from being human, I'm just an average person like any of you. With a family and problems of my own to take care of."
"Oh don't be so modest, darling, we've told you everything. So now it's your turn" Rarity said, levitating a cup of tea to her lips.
I was about to speak when something red and scaly swept in front of my face, causing me to nearly jump out of my seat. "Well isn't this a pleasant time and yet, no one invited ME here was an outdoor tea party. Here I thought we were all friends here." I looked around them before I looked up to see a strange creature in the shade of a tree above me. "And this interesting interesting creature you girls are talking to?" The creature came close to me, coming into the light. When I saw it, I screamed and passed out.
Through the camera (it was left on when I fainted)
"...care her like that?! You startled her and us half to death!" Twilight shouted.
"Well excuse me if I have that effect on ponies...or...whatever she is" The voice from earlier said.
"Hey y'all. I think she's wakin' up now. Come on, Sugar Cube" Applejack said.
I slowly open my eyes to Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity around me, worried. Rainbow Dash and Twilight meanwhile were yelling at whatever startled me.
"You're a real piece of work, you know. You can't just going popping up anywhere you want just because you can bend reality" Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh sweet naive Rainbow Dash. And here I thought you were all about scaring others. I mean, with all the pranks you've pulled, I figured popping up behind someone would be a hoot for you" The voice said, I barely saw it practically slither and coil itself around the cyan Pegasus.
"Wh-What...what happened and what is that thing?" I ask, sitting up on my elbows. Eveypony, including the strange creature, stared at me.
"You fainted darling...thanks to a certain creature we know" Rarity said, gritting her teeth in irritation.
I stared at the creature, and it stared back at me. Getting a good look, I was a little more amazed than terrified. It looked like it was some random combination of various animals. It came closer to me and looked me over, its lion paw rubbing its chin. "Um...h-hello? And...you are...?"
"Oh me? Well, if you really want to know, I am Discord, former lord of Chaos and Mischief. I've been recently reformed. And now that I've introduced myself, I can't help but wonder what you are. You're obviously not a pony since you're wearing clothes and walking on two legs. But you're even more strange than me" He snapped his claw and out of nowhere, I was sitting on an exam table while he was dressed up like a doctor and proceed to poke and prod me.
"H-Hey! That tickles~! I-I'll tell you what I am, just cut it out~" I laughed as he continuously poked my sides and bellybutton. When he stopped, I was finally given a chance to breath. "I'm a human and yes, I know I'm strange. But I can't possibly be more strange than you. I mean...you're a chimera."
"A what?" Discord and the ponies said in unison.
"A chimera. You're a melting pot of different animal parts. That's maybe like the chimeras of mythology. Although those are usually maybe two or three animals put together."
While the six ponies stared at me in slight confusion, Discord burst out laughing. He laughed so hard, he literally started falling apart! When he was done, he put himself back together in an amusing way. "My dear, I am nothing like that creature. I am much more evolved."
"Wait, so there are chimeras here too? Can I see one?"
"Well..." Applejack rubbed the back of her neck "I don't recommend it, Sugarcube. Chimeras are quite ferocious...especially when hungry. It has the head and front legs of a tiger, the head and hind legs of a goat, and its tail is a snake. Why would you want to go near it?"
"That's what they look like here? Huh? Not very different from mythology. Then again different cultures have different interpretations of what a chimera looks like I guess." I shrug.
"Still, that doesn't excuse the fact that he nearly scared you out of your skin" Twilight said, folding her forearms.
"Oh I'm sure he didn't mean it" Fluttershy said, earning skeptical stares from her companions.
Discord cleared his throat. "If we can get back to me. I am not a chimera, I am a Draconequus."
I tilted my head in confusion. "Um...bless you?"
"No, silly girl, I'm a special species called a Draconequus," He said.
"Drag...Draco..huh?" I made several attempts at saying the word, only to get either tongue tied or bite my tongue. "Can't I just call you a chimera? It rolls off the tongue better."
"Ugh fine. But I'm making this one exception for you...um..what's your name?"
"Oh, that's right, I never said. It's Lotus, Lotus Moon."
"And we were jus' gettin' ta know her a little better before somepony interrupted us" Applejack said, directing a slight glare at Discord.
"Oh, getting-to-know-you time? How fun." He clapped twice and after a flash, he was dressed in a ridiculous kids onesie with a blanket, pillow, and snacks around him. He looked like a little kid and a sleepover.
"Well...like I said, I'm like any of you. Got a family back home, problems of my own, hobbies I love. Nothing really too special" I scratched the back of my head trying to make the situation less awkward.
"Oh come on, that's it? Don't you have any siblings? I've got three great sisters: Maud, Marble, and Limestone Pie. And then there's my mom and dad," Pinkie said, shoving several cupcakes into her mouth while talking. Knowing that she has siblings made me wonder if they were as lively as she was.
"I do have a sister, her name is Lily. She and I were close when we were little. But then I started noticing things were different. You see, in my home, achievements mean everything. My mom is a doctor and my dad is a tech tycoon. They put a lot of pressure on me and my sister to be like them. We didn't really get a say in the matter. It got to the point where she couldn't take it anymore and ran off somewhere. Before leaving, she left me a message saying "I broke free of my cage. The time will come for you to do the same". I didn't know what she meant until my parents started shoveling all of their expectations on me. Nothing was ever really enough for them. Getting straight As in school, being Class President, then Student Body President, graduating with honors...none of it was enough."
"What? I've been accomplishing things all my life and my parents are more than proud of me" Twilight said. "Your parents must be out of their minds to not appreciate everything you've managed to do."
"Tell me about it. I mean, sure they bragged about me in their social circle, but then if they hear one of their colleagues has a child doing something extraordinary, they'd drop me into it too! It got so bad that...I started hurting myself or running away. Over time, I found a passion in writing. I was finally able to express myself in a healthy way and loved it. I went to my parents and told them I wanted to be a writer, and they flat out denied me...and have continued to deny me. They started saying I'd end up a runaway delinquent like my sister. They even went so far as to take away anything I've written if it wasn't for school. So the minute I got a laptop, I knew they'd get rid of anything they disapproved of. So I hid it somewhere they'd never find it and continued to use it." I nibbled on an apple.
"So what were you doing before you ended up here? I mean, you were found in the Everfree Forest" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I was on a trip alone. Just hiking in the woods. I spotted an odd looking rabbit and followed it...into its burrow hole. I crawled around for what seemed like five minute in the darkness and then I was suddenly falling! Well sliding head first down a dark winding path. It was fun and terrifying the same time. When I finally saw light again, I was still in the forest, but it was darker...creepier. I didn't see a hill to signify where I slid down from and I didn't really know what to do. With all the sounds around me, staying put wasn't an option. So I explored and then was attacked by something that was like a pack of wolves made out of wood."
"You ran into a pack of Timberwolves?!" Applejack shouted.
"Is that what they're called?"
"Those creatures are most unpleasant, darling. How ever did you get away?" Rarity asked me.
"I might not look it, but I'm pretty agile. I climbed a tree and just jumped from the high branches to get away. But I think I misstepped and ended up falling to the ground and hurting my leg. After probably a three more hours of running, I finally collapsed from exhaustion. Several days later, I woke up in the hospital in Ponyville."
"Wow. Such an interesting tale. And yet...so boring" Discord slumped against a tree, looked over dramatically bored.
"Well I'm sorry. It took a while for my memories to clearly return" I stated matter-of-factly before laying back on the grass.
"Oh ho! Somepony's snippy. I like that. I can tell you're going to be a blast to be around" Discord snapped his claw and a lotus flower appeared next to me. "A little peace offering from me to you. See you later, flower girl." And with that, and a flash, he disappeared.
I picked up the flower and smiled. "Well that was sweet of him."
"Don't be fooled, Sugarcube. Discord may be "reformed" but he's still a trickster through and through." Applejack warned me.
"Oh I'm sure he's not all bad. Maybe he's really had a change of-AH!!" Before I could finish my sentence, the flower squirted water in my face for a good ten seconds. When it stopped, I spit some water out of my mouth and brushed my now soaked hair from in front of my face. "Guess that’s oldest trick in the book , no matter what world you’re in. Looks like I'm gonna have to be more vigilant whenever he's around." With that, I turned off my camera.
Ok so the last week has been a whirlwind of crazy! I was finally able to meet Princess Twilight and her friends while hearing more about them, as well as the physical incarnation of Chaos itself. Weird, huh? That however, wasn't the highlight of my week. Apparently there's this event going on that everyone's been dizzily getting ready for. Unfortunately no one told me what it is...until I tickled it out of Sparkle Dust (apparently her back is really ticklish). From what she told me, it's this super high class social event called the Grand Galloping Gala. Strange name for a party, but it sounds fun. I also heard it used to be a really snobby and quiet event till Twilight and her friends livened things up. Guess it was a good thing. Anyway, I'm helping to get the decorations up. Speaking of which, I should be helping out now. Gotta go.

WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!!! The Gala is tomorrow and I don't have a dress!!! I mean, I didn't even plan to drop into a fantasy world, much less the biggest party of the year, and I don't have a dress! This is more disastrous than when I took my prom picture with my friends and fell into a lake! It took us like two hours to shower off that filthy water, dry our hair, and pray our dresses would be alright enough to wear. And then we were stuck in traffic getting to prom. That stupid dock should've been checked before we took our pictures. Ugh!!!
Maybe I won't even be invited. I'm an outsider in this world. I'm sure they wouldn't want an outsider at their special event. Maybe Princess Celestia would say I don't have to come. Yeah. That's just what she'll say.
3 Hours Later

I'm doomed! Not only did Princess Celestia say I should attend the gala, but she also said I should mingle! Apparently, before, she used to be at the entrance just greeting ponies all night. But after Twilight and her friends shook things up, even she attends the Gala! I don't have a dress, I got off on the wrong foot with these upper class ponies, and I'm a disaster when I'm awkward! What am I going to do?!!! About the only thing I can do is just finish helping with the preparations and just try getting out of going to the Gala all together. I'm not confident that the night will go well and I don't want to be humiliated again.

Well...one problem solved. Rarity, living up to her title as the Element of Generosity, offered to make me a dress for the Gala. I basically have to be fitted and measured for it since she's never made clothes for a human. Fair enough. But there's now the issue of actually attending the Gala. I have no clue about higher class, societal norms. I'll make a fool of myself! And what if one of the ponies there recognize me from town and say I kidnap children?! My life will be over!! I'll never be able to go out into town again and never get to explore this world. I'll go crazy...much like I am now. (insert heavy sigh here) I better go. I have to meet Rarity soon to get measured and fitted. Maybe while I'm there, I'll get to pick out the fabric and such for my dress...that I'll wear for the next social event. I'm still totally not confident in going to the Gala.
2 Hours Later

Rarity is crazy with inspiration. She kept me in the tailor room all this time till now because she was astonished at my development...especially in my assets department. She had to triple check all of my measurements to make sure there were no mistakes. When she finally finished, she got to work on sketching out a dress design while I checked out the fabrics. My eyes caught the sight of a beautiful satin red silk and I pointed it out to Rarity. She examined the silk closely and looked at me before a bright idea came to her.
Scrolling it out, it was a slim, strapless, form fitting dress with a black trim around the hem and waist. Asking my opinion, I immediately told her I loved the dress and I even suggested adding a hair piece for my hair. Once that was done, I watched Rarity's magic at work as she created the dress. It was amazing, though still more normal than I originally thought it would be. It was like watching an old friend of mine while she made her own embroidered handkerchief. Giving attention to every little detail, focused, weaving through the delicate fabric like it was an extension of herself. When the dress was done, I tried it on, and it fit perfectly! I almost couldn't believe it when I looked at myself in the mirror. As the finishing touch, Rarity did my hair up and placed the hair piece in. A moment ago, I wasn't confident going to the Gala. Now, with this dress, I think I can get a second chance to start off on the right foot this time.
Evening
Dear Azure,
Today was a rollercoaster day for me. We finished the decorations for the Gala, made easier thanks to (Twilight's first rate organization skills and Rainbow Dash's speed helped). Applejack helped out with the cooking, while Pinkie helped out with entertainment (sorta). During some down time, I got to spend a little time in the garden with Fluttershy. And just a few moments ago, I was able to spend a little time with Sparkle Dust just talking. I was so nervous about even attending the Gala before. Now, I'm not scared at all. Anyway, better get some sleep, tomorrow is the big night and no matter what happens, I know things will go well. Good Night.
Tonight's the big night, the Grand Galloping Gala. Ponies from all over Canterlot are coming, all dressed in fancy attire, jewelry, and other accessories. I'm wearing the dress Rarity made for me...still can't get over how good I look. Even Sparkle was a little shocked at how amazing I looked. I wish she could come with me to the Gala, having another friend there would certainly give me a little more confidence. Unfortunately, she's on duty behind the scenes and will be busy for the whole event.
A little earlier, Princess Celestia came by to tell me to not worry about how things will go and to just enjoy the night. Easier said than done, but hopefully things will be ok. Especially if there's a lot of wine flowing. Anyway, I better grab my camera. The Gala's starting and I want to be at Princess Celestia's side.
Through the camera
I walked through the castle halls until I started hearing the excited chatter of the Gala attendees. The sound made me stop dead in my tracks, causing me to point the camera to my feet. "Well I was asked by the Princess to attend the Gala and I can't very well just not come after having a gorgeous dress made for me. Plus, I may never get a chance like this again. So time to make a good impression and hope for the best," I mumbled to myself.
Taking a deep breath, I continued walking to the main hall. As I walked, the guards who usually stayedsilent and at attention, I could hear them talking silently about me. From what I could hear, I think it was along the lines of how stunning I was.
Finally arriving at the doors to the main hall, I hesitated for a moment. I could hear the ponies and music inside. Socializing, maybe dancing, perhaps chatting with the Princesses. Not wanting to suddenly lose my nerve and run away, I entered the room. And the moment I did, nearly everything went silent. I looked around the room and almost everyone was looking at me. Some in confusion, some in awe, and others in slight intimidation. The first to break the silence was Princess Celestia, wearing a lovely cream dress with gold trim.
"Ah, Lotus, glad you could make it" She smiled at me, eliciting some murmurs from her subjects.
"I-I couldn't just stay in my room. I mean, you personally invited me, and you've been so gracious to allow me to live here. How could I be rude and just not show up?" I said, catching every pony's attention. The mere shock on their faces was enough to give me a little more confidence. "Well I'm glad you could make it. Now, feel free to socialize and come to me if you have any questions." With that, she went to strike up a conversation with one of her subjects and other conversations started up as well. I made my way to the nearest wall and observed my surroundings. I noticed a few ponies glancing my way and chatting, probably about me.
The band was playing something slow and there were a few pairs dancing. Servers walked around and one came to me, offering a glass of wine, which I graciously took and downed before returning the glass. As I looked around, I noticed Twilight was near Princess Celestia, Rarity was chatting with a few stallions, Pinkie was being Pinkie, Applejack was with Fluttershy near the food tale, and Rainbow Dash was with some ponies dressed in blue jumpsuit uniforms.
"Well you're certainly a peculiar creature," A male voice said, snapping my attention into focus. I looked over and it was an red-orange colored Unicorn stallion with a mane and tail that were a light violet. It was like he was a sky at sunset. "If I may ask...what are you?"
I cleared my throat a bit so my voice wouldn't let out an awkward squeak as it usually did when I was nervous. "I-I'm a human. I guess you've never seen anything like me before."
"If by that you mean an exquisite and interesting creature, then yes. I must say, you've quite lovely, my dear."
I felt my face turn red, no one had ever said something like that to me...not even any of the guys I've dated. "Thanks. My name is Lotus Moon." The stallion lifted his right hoof to take my unoccupied hand. "Astral Dusk, my lady." He kissed my hand, a motion no one ever does anymore in my world.
"Thank you. And you're very handsome." I smiled and then caught a peek at his Cutie Mark. It was a constellation, the Aquarius constellation If I remember correctly. "Your Cutie Mark is quite interesting."
"Why thank you. For the life of me, I never knew completely what it meant. I've always been interested in the stars since I was a colt. Especially when they seemed to make shapes in the sky." Astral said.
"The constellations in the sky. In my world, they're actually used for a number of different things."
"Oh? Such as?"
"Horoscopes...like a way of telling one's future or just giving them a confidence boost for the day. Some are used to dictate what other constellation would be a good pairing for them, while others simply use them. To tell stories." I pushed some of my hair back from my face.
"Interesting. Tell me dear, do you dance?"
His question caught me off guard. "I-I'm sorry?"
"Dance? Do you?"
"W-Well yes. I haven't in a long while, but yes...I do dance."
"Well then, while the band is still playing, shall we dance?" Astral extended his hoof to me.
I was self conscious with my decision. I mean how would we dance, wouldn't it be awkward? I mean, he is quite charming and I really don't want to say no. But at the same time, I really didn't know how to go about it. Even with all these thoughts going through my mind, I wanted to experience this. So I accepted his hoof and we were headed for the dance floor.
There were some murmurs as we moved, but that didn't stop us. Once there, and the music accommodating us, Astral and I started to dance. It was awkward at first, especially while holding my camera, but we got the hang out it. As we danced, I noticed he was looking into my eyes. His blue-green eyes were mesmerizing and I couldn't look away. There was just something about them.
"For one who claims to not have danced in a long while, you dance quite well," He said.
"Thank you. You dance really good too." I glanced down and realized he was standing on his hind legs, his left arm around my back while his right slightly held my camera hand, my chest lightly pressed against his. His coat was soft and gentle to the touch like Sparkle's. "I-I'm sorry if this seems uncomfortable.
"Not at all," He smiled at me and gently dipped me low, causing me to squeak a little. "Has no pony done this to you in your world?"
"N-Never," I said as he pulled me back up and we continued our dance. "B-Boys in my world are too immature to try being romantic."
"Shame, they seem rather barbaric in that nature."
"That's one way of putting it."
"To not treat an intriguing female such as yourself with every formality through dance is unthinkable."
I glanced away. "If only you were a human...you could teach them how to be better gentlemen." Before he could respond, the music started to die down and we stopped dancing. I felt a bit disappointed as he backed up a few paces to stand on all fours again. "Quite an interesting compliment. My dear, you are a joy to talk to, but sadly I am needed elsewhere. But I do hope to speak with you more in the near future" He kissed my hand again before walking away.
I watched him go and my heart fluttered. As the night carried on, I stayed by Princess Celestia's side. Many of the attendees, after seeing that I was alright to be around, opted to try and get to know me better. While I would indulge in polite conversation, I would scan the room for Astral Dusk, but was unable to find him again. I can only speculate that he asked me to dance so that I would only be focused on him instead of being nervous with all eyes on me. When the Gala ended, I made my way back to my room and set the camera on the desk before dropping with an "oomph" on the bed.
"I'm so glad I attended the Gala" I mumbled and thought of Astral. "It was so worth it." After that, I turned off my camera.
I've never felt this way before. Wait,. maybe I did once...when I found my first crush maybe? No, this is a different feeling from that. I've always felt like something was missing in my life, and last night, I think I found it. Astral Dusk. I can still feel it; his warmth, his soft coat, his strong forearms holding me, his voice in my ears Wait! I can't do this. No, not I can't...I shouldn't do this! I shouldn't feel this way! H-He's a pony...I'm a human...it's wrong. So why is it that when I think of him, I feel like I'm complete? Like everything I've known my whole life, everything I've experienced, would've been right if he were with me? I mean it would've made life a bit more bearable. But let's face facts...we can't be together because of the fact that we're different species. And he probably has a wife. It wouldn't be right. Ugh I feel like this is all frustrating to me...I'm gonna take a walk around the castle and clear my head.
Afternoon
Dear Azure,
Azure, I'm still so confused. A walk around the castle hardly helped. It took a lot of restraint not to go to the Main Hall, but almost every path led me back there. Either that or I was unconsciously walking there. I don't think I can help it. That room is where I found something I feel like I've been missing all my life.
Maybe, I was just born in the wrong world. What would things have been like if I was born here in Equestria? What would my parents have looked like? How would I go about my life to realize my special talent and gotten my Cutie Mark? What would I be doing now had I lived here all my life? I don't know the answers to these questions, but I wish I did. Then again, I guess those questions will be pretty meaningless if and when I return home.
Wait...what am I going to do if I can't return home? What if I'm stuck in Equestria? I mean it wouldn't be so bad. I love it here. But I have family at home. I bet mother is worried and father might be calling around to see where I am. I just realized I haven't heard my phone go off once. Well it's been dead all this time and I never once bothered to try to charge it...even with my solar power charger. Bet I have dozens of missed texts and calls from my parents, friends, sister, and other family members.
How many days have I been here now? I've been gone so long, mother and father might've called in the police to find me. Posting up MISSING PERSON flyers with my poster everywhere, even in nearby cities. But hey...I've been gone so long...maybe they assume I'm dead. Bet they even held a faux funeral for me too. Said some comforting, teary eyed words, maybe cremated the empty coffin, and moved on with their lives by now. Caring as they tended to seem from time to time, they cared less as I got older.
Evening
Dear Azure,
Well I used my solar charger. Sat out on the balcony for almost two hours (my phone was on by then, I was simply enjoying the view and the breeze). Once my phone came on, I was surprised to find that there were no new messages or texts for me. Granted I probably shouldn’t be surprised since I’m in a completely different world, pretty far outside cell reception. Hard to tell if this is a good or bad though, I mean on the one hand means I don’t have any definitive proof of what’s going on at home. Who knows, maybe it’s like in some sci fi shows where a year here is only like a minute or an hour back home. Maybe they haven’t even noticed….Yet I can’t fight this feeling that they are worried about me and could be searching for me, and I have no way to get back home or tell them the truth. I was surprised to find that there were no new messages or texts for me. Granted I probably shouldn’t...
Even if I do get back home, then what? Mom and Dad treated me like crap most of my life, I had no friends back home and life just kept getting worse, really what am I leaving behind.
You know what...forget it! If I can't go home, I don't care. Equestria isn't a bad place to live. I love it here and it's given me more freedom than I ever had and I’m not giving that up.
Midnight
Dear Azure,
I watched Princess Luna raise the moon and started to wonder if it is out back home too. It's beautiful seeing a goddess raise one of the brightest stars in the sky to give us a gentle light, then decorate the sky with more stars for others to adore. I spent some of the night by Princess Luna's side just chatting, finding out more about her. I told her about how in my world, humans have actually traveled to the moon. It gave her a good laugh.
There were times when she spoke that her dialect mixed and she would bashfully correct herself. Like how she would say we instead of I or us instead of me. She explained that this is how she used to speak before she was banished to the moon...she even told me how her banishment happened.
After hearing it, I honestly can't imagine someone so beautiful and majestic could let her anger, bitterness, and jealousy consume them to such an extent. It just doesn't seem possible.
And while it made me wonder if Princess Celestia also might have a dark side, I would never want to see either of these perfect goddesses become evil. Anyway, I think it's time to stop writing now since I'm going to sleep early. Maybe I'll wake up early enough to see Princess Celestia raise the sun.
I woke up just in time to see Princess Celestia raise the sun and it was in one word….Breathtaking. Seeing it happen at the hands - well hooves and magical horn - of an Alicorn is way better than anything shown in movies or in videos. However, that's not the main reason for all of this. Last night I had a strangely...stimulating dream. And I don't usually have dreams like that! Ok let me start at the beginning. It was blurry at first but once things went into focus, I was out in public...ALONE. Alone as in without a guard escort! Thankfully, none of the ponies had a problem with me, in fact they greeted me like an old friend. Guess that's the effect of socializing at the Grand Galloping Gala. I wandered around Canterlot, window shopping and sampling food and whatever else I can do in this ritzy town. And that's when I bumped into him, Astral Dusk . He was so charming and I almost couldn't believe he would show up in my dream. But I really am thinking about him a lot, so it makes sense. Astral showed me around Canterlot and we had such a grand time talking then he took me to a tailor shop to have a beautiful sapphire dress made for me (for some reason, I was walking around in my pajamas...it's my dream, don't judge me).
After that, we went out for an amazing dinner. I don't remember the name of the restaurant...in fact...everything in my peripheral vision that extended beyond my immediate area with Astral was a blur. I didn't even see who served us. But it wasn't bas as long as I was with Astral , everything about him was perfect. Once we finished dinner, I was a little tipsy since I was drinking wine with dinner, so he brought me to his home for the night. It was closer than the palace and he wasn't comfortable letting me walk back alone in my condition. I think he carried me there on his back. I remember laying something soft and warm, but I was too far gone to focus. I laid on his bed and he bought me some water...but instead of having some water to sober up, I think I kissed him. If I did, it definitely took us both by surprise. Following that, I can't recall how we got this far in what felt like only a few seconds, he was crouched over me and we were kissing like two lovers who haven't seen each other for years. I wanna crawl under a rock and die. The reason why...is simple. PRINCESS LUNA SAW MY DREAM!!!!! I didn't even know she could enter the dream realm...or even my own dreams! She pulled me aside after I spoke with her sister and told me she saw everything! If there's a hell, send me there now. Anything but living with this embarrassment.
It's taken some time but I'm used to wandering around Canterlot alone. At first I was a little scared since I didn't want another misunderstanding again. However, around the fifth day, ponies started socializing with me. Some had done so previously since they knew (from the Gala) that I was a guest of Princess Celestia. I usually went out to get better acquainted with the town, but nowadays it's mostly to find Astral Dusk. I sometimes hope to run into him in town or something, but sadly with no success. Maybe today I'll run into him...or finally gather the courage to ask somepony where he lives...wait that would be weird. Anyway, I should go. I may be out all day.
Through the camera
I walked through Canterlot greeting every pony I passed, wearing a light peach pink dress with custom made white shoes. I'll definitely have to thank Rarity for this. During my walk, I passed by a few stores who offered to make me dresses or wanted me to model for them (probably trying to score brownie points with the Princess). Finally stopping at a little cafe, I had some tea and cake while I rested. I wanted to leave when these two really snobby ponies called Jet Set and Upper Crust started saying disrespectful things right in front of me...while looking right at me. I simply ignored them and continued eating my snack.
"Ms. Lotus?" a familiar voice called.
I looked around till I saw Astral Dusk walking towards my table. I almost spit out my tea but managed to hold it in. He was still as dreamy as he was when I met him at the Gala. He wore a white collar around his neck with a tie matching his mane. Once he got closer, I noticed Jet Set and Upper Crust had stopped talking and stared at us.
"It is you, I heard that there was some strange creature walking around on two legs. I thought it had to be you. Not saying you're strange, you're a magnificent being. And I must say, that dress suits your complexion. Where did you get it?" He smiled.
"Rarity made it for me. She has a shop here in Canterlot, Carousel Boutique I believe it's called," I smiled back at him. "What are you doing here in town?"
"I was coming from an overnight trip. There was a fashion show in Manehattan that was filled with promising designers", He said, "May I ask what are you doing in town?
"I've been coming out into town to help get myself accustomed to living here. And truthfully...I was also hoping to run into you" I twirled some of my hair bashfully. This seemed to elicit a chuckle from Astral as he joined me. I honestly didn't notice when the two snobs left. Finally some peace and quiet.
I spent most of the afternoon talking with him, after which we walked around town just spending time together. We lost track of time talking and before we knew it, the sun had set. He walked me back to the castle and bid be good night...but not before asking to see me again tomorrow.
A few months later

I've never felt so happy in my life. I think it's been about almost five months since I arrived in Equestria and I've enjoyed everyday more than the last. I've even made trips around more, going to places like Fillyfelphia, Las Pegasus, Whinnyapilos, and so many other places.
Just last week I joined Princess Twilight and her friends on a trip to some place called the Crystal Empire where everything is made out of crystals! It was beautiful~ I even met her brother and sister-in-law, Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. They weren't completely surprised to see me since it seems Twilight had mentioned me more than a few times to them. Shining Armor is really handsome and super lucky. To propose to and then marry the Princess of Love must've been no easy feat. I even had time to talk with Princess Cadence about my own budding love life...yes I have one now. I told her how I had been spending time with Astral Dusk for quite some time and had feelings for him. However, since we were different species, I feared he wouldn't like me. Know what she said? She said,
"That shouldn't matter if you really love him. And if he loves you, then everything will work out. You just have to give it a shot and see what happens. Lay your heart on the line and let the pieces fall where they will. Where they land may surprise you."
So a few days after that, while Astral and I were walking as the sun set, I took a deep breath and just told him how I felt. I told him that I've been in love with him since we met at the Gala and couldn't stop thinking about him. There was an almost too long pause between us but he returned my feelings. I was so happy I burst into tears and he held me.
Almost a month after that, if we are out till Princess Luna raised the moon, I would spend the night at his home. Nothing spectacular to report other than us spending more time talking. So my dream of having sex with him won't be happening...yet. But we're taking it slowly, casual dates, a few trips together, going to theater shows, and so on. He's always been a gentleman and never ashamed that we're a couple. Even when other ponies look down on me for being different, with his elegant charm, he puts them in their place. I really don't know where this relationship will go. Maybe we won't last. Maybe we won't get married, or maybe we will. I mean it's not possible for us to have children...as far as I know. But what I do know is that in the coming days, they'll be filled with happiness.
This will be my final entry. I've been in Equestria for a year now. And I can hardly believe how far I've come. When this all started, I was in a hospital bed at Ponyville General, I met the Princesses and the Elements of Harmony, I went to the Grand Galloping Gala and found the love of my life, and now I'm married...and a mother! Astral and I were married during the Summer Sun Celebration, Princess Cadence officiated the marriage. There was some opposition to our union, mainly by other ponies who found it strange, but nopony complained when the Princesses found no problems with it. I wore a white slimming asymmetrical dress with gold trimming (made by my bridesmaids, Rarity and Sparkle Dust) and the wedding was held in the Canterlot Gardens. As Princess Luna lowered the moon and Princess Celestia raised the sun, Cadence declared us Stallion and Wife. Princess Twilight performed her version of a Sonic Rainboom, only it was in the shape of her Cutie Mark. That new day was once huge party, courtesy of Pinkie Pie. Music, sweets, confetti, and laughter filled the air. Even Discord showed up, causing some mischief as well, but nothing too terrible.
Astral and I went to one of the foreign island territories for our honeymoon. We spent everyday simply enjoying each other's company, playing on the beach, exploring, and...yes...we had sex. It felt exactly how I remembered from my dream, but a bit more painful since I was a virgin. As I expected, there was no way I could get pregnant. So we adopted Unicorn twins, a colt and a filly. The filly was snow white with a black muzzle, mane, tail and hooves. The colt was just like his sister but the colors were reversed. They're the most perfect children a mother could ever want. We named them Radiant Rose and Dawn Gust. I hear from their teacher that they get teased in school for having me as their mother, but they don't let it bother them.
In a few days we'll be celebrating time as a family. But even with my new family, I haven't forgotten my old family. I've often thought of them and wondered how they might be doing. I've thought of calling them and telling them I was alive and that I've found my home. But then it would give them hope that they could find me. I don't want to cause them pain but they need some form of closure. That and my phone doesn't work here. No signal.
A final goodbye. And that's what I'm going to give them. I don't know if the Princesses can send it back to my world...I don't even know if they might get it...or if they will let me go. But anything is better than possibly putting them through more pain. With all they've done for me, I know they were hard on me from time to time, but at least I know they loved me through all of this. And as the saying goes, if you really love something...then let it go (and that is not a cue to start singing that ear worm song from Frozen). One thing is for sure, this may be my final entry but I will be keeping you, Azure. You hold all of my precious memories here, I wouldn't part with you for the world. So it's time to record the video and hope the Princesses can deliver it to its destination. It'll also be my final video.
Three months later
"Dear...do you hear something?" A woman asked.
"Sweetheart, you're hearing things" A man said.
"No, shhh....listen..." They both stayed quiet and sounds of someone speaking could be heard in the house. They rush to my room and see my laptop on. "Oh my goodness...it's Lotus!" The woman said.
"But..how? We haven't been in this room since her funeral" The man said.
"Then how did this video get here? On her laptop. The windows have been locked and there's no way anyone could've gotten in without us noticing" The woman said as they looked at the video playing.

"Hello mother. Hello father. It's me, your daughter. Lotus. Wow, I really didn't know how to start this off...even with the camera rolling I still don't know. But here goes. I just wanted to start off by saying that I'm fine. If you knew where I would, you'd think I was crazy...so I won't tell you. I've found happiness where I am. A great home. Wonderful friends, better than the ones I had before. And a husband. Yes, I am married. And we adopted two children. Currently my husband is away on a trip and my children are at school, as soon as I finish this video I will be picking them up. Back to me. I want to express my feelings to you, the best way I can. Mother, Father, I know you were stern with me because you loved me and you had a hard time showing that love. You did everything you could to make sure I didn't run off like Lily did. But the truth is she and I left your care because you sniffled us. Your love was pushing us away. Your love involved us becoming like one of you instead of pushing us to pursue our dreams. Lily and I found more comfort in each other than you knew. When she left, she told me that one day it would be my turn. And when my time came, I couldn't let it pass me up. I found everything I was missing and now I'm happier than I could've imagined. Please do not think that I resent you, I love both of you and I always will. But it's time to let me go.
