Fluttershy has been acting strange. She's changed her deck completely, and is acting more and more aggressive. What's going on with her? Also, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie get enlisted in a prank war between the Ghost Trick and Madolche archetypes.
It was a normal day at CHS, and October was drawing to a close. As the school day wound down, Burst and his friends were going over their plans for the weekend. "So what do any of you guys have planned for the upcoming Halloween?", Burst asked Inferno, Ace and Steel.
"Blueblood's throwing a huge party. Pretty much the whole school is going!", Ace said. "Costumes aren't required, but I'm dressing up all the same!"
"Nice! So what's your costume going to be?"
"You know how Timaeus had his knight of destiny form?"
"Yeah?"
"Well I figured out how to combine that form with my dragon powers! I'm calling it Dragon Knight of Destiny! Nice ring to it don't you think?"
"You'll be Sonata's dragon knight in shining armor.", Burst said with a chuckle.
"So what's your costume going to be Burst?", Steel asked. "I plan on dressing up as Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII."
"Sorry! But I'm gonna surprise everyone when I wear it!", Burst said with a mischievous smile!
"Well just because you're gonna keep us in suspense doesn't mean I'm going to.", Inferno said with a joking smile. "I'm dressing up as Ken from Street Fighter!" As the group were talking about their plans, they noticed Fluttershy headed their way. But there was something odd about her. Usually she had a timid smile and wore bright clothes. For some reason she was walking the halls like she owned the place and wearing darker clothes. And that wasn't including the weird necklace she was wearing. It gave off an eerie vibe just by looking at it.
"Hey guys!", she said in flirty tone. "You hear about Blueblood's party?"
"Yeah. But why are you interested?", Ace asked. "The rest of the girls say you're scared to death of this time of the year. And what's with your change in attitude and wardrobe?"
"Are you feeling alright? It's like you up and ditched the 'shy' part of your name.", Inferno said. "Are you going through an early life crisis?"
"I've never felt better.", Fluttershy said with a smirk. "In fact, I think my new deck can take on your big, bad dragons! So what do you say? Or are you scared you'll lose to a girl?"
"I don't know what's gotten into you, but I don't like it. But I accept your challenge! Let's duel!"
Inferno: 8000 Fluttershy: 8000
"Ladies first.", Fluttershy said boldly. "I play the field spell Mystic Plasma Zone! Then I'll summon Dragon Zombie! I'll also set a card and end my turn."
"Last time I checked you weren't much of a fan of these types of monsters.", Inferno said. "But that's besides the point. I play Red Eyes Fusion! I send Red Eyes Black Dragon and Summoned Skull from my deck to the graveyard to fusion summon Archfiend Black Skull Dragon! Then I'll summon Black Stone of Legend and tribute him to special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon from my deck! Archfiend Black Skull, destroy Zombie Dragon! Red Eyes, attack her directly! Inferno Fire Blast! And since Archfiend attacked, I can inflict damage to you equal to the attack of a red eyes normal monster in my graveyard and shuffle it back into my deck!" Fluttershy shielded herself as the flames collided with her life points! "That's all for me."
Inferno: 8000 Fluttershy: 1100
"Time to show you what my new deck can really do! I play Raigeki to destroy all monsters you control! Now I'll play Cost-Down to lower the levels of all the monsters in my hand by two and summon Vampire Lord! Now I'll banish him to special summon Vampire Genesis! Now I'll equip him with Demotion to lower his level by two! Then I'll play Double Attack! I'll discard this level eight monster so Genesis can attack twice!" Inferno braced himself as Genesis's fired a blast of dark fire that hit him directly! Fluttershy had a confident smirk on her face. "Looks like you're the one getting burned!", she said noticing Inferno had been knocked to the ground from the force of the attack. "I think you've had enough for this turn."
Inferno: 1000 Fluttershy: 1100
'It's like she's a whole different person! The Fluttershy we know would never be this aggressive or kick a duelist when they're down! Well, at least I don't fell nearly as bad about beating her now!' "I could have used this earlier, but I didn't want to end this duel too early! I play the spell card Harmony Absolute! I'll banish a Red Eyes Black Dragon from my graveyard to summon Red Eyes Absolute Dragon! I'll halve his attack points so he can attack you directly for game!"
"Time for the blaze of glory!", Red Eyes said as he wrapped himself in flames and collided right into Fluttershy!
Inferno: 1000, win Fluttershy: lose
After the duel ended, Fluttershy walked up to Inferno. "That was a good duel. How about a prize for winning?" Fluttershy leaned in and attempted to kiss Inferno, but he blocked her.
"What the heck is up with you? You know Rarity's my girlfriend! Where did THAT come from?"
"Hmph. Be that way.", she said as she walked off. Burst and the others tried to process what had just happened. But little did they know, Fluttershy's new necklace began to give off a faint red glow.
Rainbow was heading home from school, but as she was leaving Rainbow Drago showed up. "Hey Dragon! What's up?"
"I've got a message from the Ghost Tricks. They want you to participate in their prank war with the Madolches. You know, the ones that make up Pinkie's deck. The winner shall be declared the supreme pranksters of the monster realm! So are you in?"
"Bring 'em on!" Rainbow Dragon led Dash to the cafeteria, where the Ghostricks and the Madolches were discussing the terms of the imminent prank war.
"So we are in agreement with no use of itching powder and that water balloons, pillows, and shaken sodas are the only allowed ordinance?", Ghost Trick Alucard asked.
"Exactly. And we are also in agreement on the conditions of victory?", Madolche Queen Tiaramisu asked.
"Yep. Whoever takes down the other side's leader wins the prank war!", Ghostrick Alucard said with a grin. "May the best pranksters win!" he said as he shook Tiaramisu's hand. Both sides hunkered down behind the lunch tables they were using as cover. "So you're Rainbow Dash? RD told me you're quite the prank master! Anything we should expect from the ally of the Madolches?"
"Pinkie is probably going to start off with a stream of maple syrup fire followed by a pillow barrage. We'll have to counter with either TP, or shaken sodas! You might wanna watch out for chocolate milk And for the added distance...", Rainbow said with a mischievous smile. "I brought THIS." Rainbow pulled out of her back pack what looked like the ultimate prank-based weapon. "This baby here, is my ultimate water balloon cannon! Just need one chance to fire it off! And if not, I've got some silly string cans to get more up-close!" Soon a splat sound was heard against their cover!
"They've started egging us! Let's show 'em what we got!", Ghostrick Lantern hollered! Pinkie and the Madolches were hurling an almost unending spread of eggs at their cover!
"Angel!", Alucard said. "I need you to make a water balloon air-raid!"
"You got it Al!"
"Stein! Give her some cover fire with that TP!"
"On it!"
"I've got a clear chance to lob a soda grenade at 'em!", Warwolf shouted!
"Go for it!", Alucard replied hastily! Warwolf hurled the shaken soda can with great force, and the foamy aftermath left Madolches Butlerusk and Marmalmaid drenched and sticky.
"Well....at least laundry day is tomorrow.", Butlerusk said as he tried to dry himself off.
"Time to bust out the secret weapon!", Pinkie chriped.
"No...she didn't!", Rainbow said with a shocked expression on her face. But it was all too true. Pinkie had brought her Party Cannon to this prank war. This more than tipped the scales in the Madolche's favor. "Everyone listen up! The party cannon can only fire one shot before they have to reload it! At that moment, we mount an offensive to push forward to their side! Use your water balloons and silly string with EXTREME prejudice! Hey Skeleton?"
"Yeah Dash?"
"Think you can distract them enough to waste their shot?"
"No bones about it!", Ghostrick Skeleton said as he began to distract the Madolches by sticking his tongue out and daring them to hit them with his best shot! They obliged, and fired off the party cannon! Rainbow and a few of the other Ghostricks made their move, but lost Mummy when he took a pie to the face! They were almost past the Madolche's lines, but Stein accidentally tripped a tomato paste mine!
"I'm out Dash!", Stein said as he tossed a water balloon over to Rainbow Dash! "Give 'em one from me!" Rainbow Dash nodded in determination as she jumped right over the table cover of the Madolches and pelted them with TP and silly string! She took down Pinkie with a well-timed shaken-up soda, and beat Tiaramisu with the water balloon Stein had given her.
"That hit was for you Stein.", Rainbow Dash said with a satisfied smile on her face. The Madolches raised the white flag, and victory was the Ghostricks! Both sides helped to clean up the mess the prank war had made, and returned home to the monster world. Pinkie and Rainbow gave each other a fist bump.
"Best. Prank war. EVER!", Pinkie screamed as the two of them headed home.
Sunset and the other girls had gotten a text from Rarity telling them to meet with her at the boutique she worked at. From the sound of the text, it seemed pretty urgent. 'Wonder what could be so urgent that Rarity would text all of us, even Celestia, to come.' When Sunset arrived, she saw that all of the girls were there except for Fluttershy. "So Rarity? Why did you call all of us here?"
"I'll get right to the point darling. As you all know, Blueblood is throwing a party this Saturday and costumes are optional. So the big question is, what are we each going to go as?"
"Heh. And I was worried this was an emergency!", Rainbow Dash said with a chuckle. "Easy! I'm dressing up as Tifa from Final Fantasy VII! She's one of the coolest girls in gaming!"
"I'm going as Dark Magician Girl.", Twilight said with a small smile. "Namely because DM wants to go to the party as himself."
"Like I'm gonna miss out on a party!", Dark Magician said as he materialized. "From what the Masked Heroes told me, it's going to be off the chart!"
"I'm dressing up as Ariel.", Sonata said with a goofy grin. "You know. For obvious reasons."
"Ah'm going as a female version of Gagaga Cowboy.", AJ said. "Ah worked on it all through the week."
"My costume's going to be Stardust Luster Guardian Eatos. My monster partner", Sunset said with a smile. "All I have to do is fuse with her spirit and I've got an instant costume!"
"Sweet!", Pinkie chirped. "I'm going as Madolche Puddingcess!"
"I'll be dressed up as Sailor Moon.", Rarity said. "What about you Starlight? Any ideas on what you're going to dress up as?"
"Well, I thought of going as Chun Li from Street Fighter. I managed to convince Shadow to dress up as Ryu.", Starlight said with a slight blush.
"Something tells me you two will be quite the cute couple.", Rarity said with a knowing smile. "So Moon and Celestia. Who are you dressing up as?"
"Both of us are dressing up as some of Burst's favorite video game girls.", Moon said with a smile. "I'm going as Zero Suit Samus. I used my magic to make the costume."
"I'm going as Trish from Devil May Cry. Moon was kind enough to teach me how to use my magic to make my costume.", Celestia said.
"Well then girls. It looks like we're all set! See you all tomorrow at the party!"
Meanwhile, Blueblood had assembled some of the guys to discuss what costumes they were going to wear. "Contrast Hero Chaos gave me an exact copy of his costume that gives me his powers", Blueblood said. "What about you Flash?"
"Same deal with Sparkman for me!", Flash beamed. "How about you Shadow?"
"I'm going as Ryu from Street Fighter!"
"I'm going as Crimson Dragon! All I need to do is fuse his spirit with me, and I'll have an instant costume!", Golden Rise said with a big grin!
"Well then gentlemen. I shall see you tomorrow.", Blueblood said as the other got ready to head home. "Let's make it a night to remember!"
Meanwhile, Fluttershy had her own plans for the party. "So almost the whole school is going to Blueblood's party. Excellent.", she said with a dark smile as her eyes turned red and her necklace glowed. "It's going to be a scream."
The next day, everyone was busy getting their costumes ready for that night's party. Soon night had fallen, and the party was on and guests started making their way to Blueblood's mansion. One such group of guests consisted of Inferno, Ace, Shadow, Steel, and Gold. "Hey guys?", Gold asked. "Where's Burst? Shouldn't he be with us?"
"Burst said something about 'making a memorable entrance', so chances are he's planning something cool.", Inferno said with a smirk. "Anyway, it was nice of your dad to let us borrow this limo to show up in style! I bet we all can't wait to see our girls' costumes!"
"I already know what Starlight's costume is.", Shadow said as he tightened his headband. "She's going as Chun-Li, and she convinced me to go as Ryu. By the way Gold, your costume and Ace's look awesome! Is it because you fused with your dragon partners?"
"Aw man.", Inferno said with a disappointed sigh. "I should have had Burst dress up as Ryu since I'm dressed as Ken."
"Moving on from Inferno's revelation, yes. Pretty sweet huh?", Gold said with a grin.
"We're here guys!", Ace said motioning to Blueblood's mansion. "Let's get out party on!" As they went to the door, Blueblood greeted them.
"Hello there friends.", Blueblood had a puzzled look on his face as he counted how many of them had shown up. "Pardon this question, but where is master?"
"Burst said he's going to be making a memorable entrance. No idea what that means though.", Inferno said. "Anyway, things are lively from the sound of things! So we here for a good time or what?"
"Things always get more exciting when Vinyl Scratch is the DJ.", Blueblood replied. As they entered, the group spotted Sunset and the other girls waiting for them. Rarity spotted Inferno and flagged them down.
"Inferno darling, you look quite dashing in your costume.", Rarity said with a flirty smile.
"I got nothin' on you gorgeous.", Inferno said with a smile.
"Looks like we had the same idea.", Sunset said with a giggle as she noticed Gold's monster spirit costume.
"Looks like we both rose to the occasion.", Gold said with a chuckle. "Wanna hit up the punch?"
"My dragon knight in shining armor." Sonata said with a small bow.
"My melody of the seas." Ace said with a bow in return.
"Looks like we have two video game character couples.", Rarity said noticing Rainbow Dash and Steel, and Starlight and Shadow.
"So can I have this dance?", Shadow asked Starlight.
"Shoryuken!", Starlight said with a smile.
"Hope that buster sword doesn't limit you busting any moves.", Rainbow said with a smirk.
"Limits were made to be broken.", Steel said with a smirk of his own.
"Looks like we've found the couples section.", Celestia said with a smile as she and Moon approached the group.
"Auntie! You and Moon look fantastic!", Blueblood said as they approached.
"Of course! We have to look good for our boyfriend.", Moon said with a sly smile.
"So who's the lucky man?", Blueblood asked.
"Burst Stream.", Celestia replied with almost no thought at all. Blueblood's jaw instantly hit the bottom of his helmet!
"You're dating master?!"
"Is that a problem?"
"No. In fact, there's no one more deserving of you than him.", Blueblood said as he recovered from the shock. "I'm just surprised I didn't figure it out sooner! Master is the ideal man for the both of you."
"Speaking of Burst, where is he? I expected him to travel with the rest of the guys?", Moon asked.
"Inferno told me that master plans on making an entrance. I don't know what he will do, but I'm pretty sure it will be memorable."
"Hey everyone!", Rainbow said as she flagged the others down. "Check out the girl that's making almost every guy here drool!" As the group went to observe who was the current center of attention, they couldn't believe it! It was Fluttershy! She was wearing what looked like a vampire costume, and almost every guy around her couldn't take their eyes off her. "Okay. This is weird. Fluttershy is TERRIFIED of Halloween! And now she's here being a total flirt?"
"Wait! SHE"S here?" Inferno nearly blurted out.
"Is there something wrong Inferno?", Rarity asked.
"Maybe! Yesterday me and the guys noticed she was acting like a completely different person! She was more flirty, aggressive, and she even up-front challenged me to a duel! And her wardrobe reflected her change in personality too! She was wearing dark clothing as opposed to her usual outfit. And she also had a completely new deck. All the monsters were zombie-type. Not to mention that necklace of her's gives off some eerie vibe that our monsters have picked up on." Soon a loud knocking on the door was heard.Everyone had turned their attention to the door as it was kicked open and a figure walked in.
"Heard you were having a party.", Burst said as he walked in. "Mind if I join in the fun?" If Fluttershy had all the guys' attention, Burst had all the girls'. He was dressed up as Dante from Devil May Cry 3. In place of Dante's weapons, he was using his drago-arms. Rarity's jaw nearly hit the ground, and almost every girl had hearts in their eyes.
"A phenomenal entrance master!", Blueblood cheered as Burst made his way to his friends.
"Thanks Blue! As for you two,", Burst said with a cocky smile as he walked over to Celestia and Moon. "I don't believe I've ever seen a more beautiful sight."
"You like it?", Celestia said as she and Moon posed.
"Figured we might as well dress up as your favorite girls from gaming.", Moon said with a wink.
"C'mere.", Burst said as he kissed both of them. "Well what are we all just standing here for?", Burst said as he addressed the crowd. "Let's party!" It was official. The party was now in full gear! While everyone was caught up in the excitement, Fluttershy sneaked off to an area where she would be alone.
"Time to liven up this party.", she said with a wicked smile as her necklace glowed a brilliant crimson. Soon, portals opened up in the main room of the party.
"Master!", Blueblood shouted over the music. "Something isn't right!" Burst steeled his gaze at the portals that had just opened up, and smiled.
"Well guys, this party's gettin' crazy! Let's rock! Vinyl! Some music for the mood!"
Vinyl nodded as she put on music as low-level zombies and fiends had jumped out of the portals as they closed! Burst and the others leaped into action!
"Blueblood!", Burst shouted.
"Yes master?"
"Something is up! Most zombies and low-level fiends from the monster realm are usually docile! Look at their eyes! Something's making them agitated!" Burst had noticed the red glow coming from their eyes.
"Any ideas master?"
"If we deal them enough damage, they should return to the monster realm to recover and hopefully return to their normal state! So let's rock!", Burst said as he fired several shots at zombies that were trying to swarm him and Blueblood! "Time to get up-close and personal!", Burst said as he whipped out his sword! Flash was holding his own pretty well until a fiend caught him by surprise, but Bluebloos delivered a swift kick to its' head!
"Thanks Blueblood!"
"We're almost through the worst of it Flash! Just a little bit longer!"
Meanwhile, Gold was almost overwhelmed when someone had jumped in and dispelled the horde that was attempting to swarm him! "Thanks! Whoever you are."
The guy who saved him was dressed up as Natsu from the anime Fairy Tail. "No problem. Name's Mercury Blue! And taking down evil monsters is the specialty of me and Buster Blader!"
"These guys aren't so tough, but they're packing numbers!", Inferno groaned as he took down another group of enemies. Fluttershy chuckled to herself.
'Time for my big reveal!' She calmly walked onto the fight going on. "I believe I've used you for long enough." She released her control of the zombies and fiends and they returned to their home world.
"Fluttershy?!", Ace said with his voice full of shock! "You're behind this?"
"I don't think that's the Fluttershy we know and love!", Shadow cautioned. "Just get a load of her energy aura! It's completely different from her usual energy reading!" Fluttershy giggled as she sprouted bat wings!
"Fluttershy isn't a fitting name for this new form. I prefer...Flutterbat!", she said with a wicked smile. "If any of you are feeling brave enough to stop me, pay a visit to my castle. I'm just dying to take a bite out of you!" And in a puff of smoke she turned into a bat and flew away. Burst Stream gazed at the moon as she flew off.
".....What a horrible night to have a curse.", he said as he worried about how he would save his friend.
"Any ideas as to where Flutterbat's castle might be?", Gold asked. "Because I seriously doubt any of us have a clue."
"Easy. We look for place where dark clouds are gathering, and bats are flying about.", Moon said matter-of-factly.
"How do you figure that?", Inferno asked.
"You're talking to the former mistress of the night. I know Halloween cliches.", Moon said with a smirk. "That, and Burst and I have been playing Castelvania in the spirit of the season."
"By the way Gold. Who's the new guy? I can sense a strong dragon with him.", Burst asked.
"Name's Mercury Blue. My partner's Buster Dragon.", Mercury said as his dragon materialized.
"It is an honor to fight beside the legendary dragons.", Buster said with a slight bow.
"Well if all of us are ready to go...", Burst said as he spun his blasters before holstering them. "What do you say we go castle crashing?"
"Come back safe.", Sonata said as she kissed Ace to wish him luck.
" I got better things to do tonight than die.", Ace said with a wink.
"We ain't comin' back 'til Fluttershy is back to normal!", Inferno boldly declared. And with that, the group left to find where Flutterbat had made her roost. However, it appeared she wanted them to come to her. Namely because she texted them where her castle was located. "Well....that's convenient."
The group made their way to her castle where her home once stood. "Seems like she's been expecting us.", Burst said as the gate was already unlocked, and the main door opened on its own and a carpet rolled out. "Crimson red. How fitting." As they entered, a large bat swooped down from the ceiling!
"You are enemies of my master.", Vampire Bat sneered. "She shall reward me greatly for eliminating you!" Vampire Bat charged them, but was shot down by Sunset and Gold!
"You're not the only one who can get airborne!", Gold said as he fired another blast of energy! Vampire Bat let out an ear-piercing shriek and split into a whole swarm of tiny bats! Sunset caught onto this, and plunged her sword into the ground to create a barrier!
"Cosmic Flare Slash!", Sunset cried as she leaped into the air and brought down Vampire Bat with one strike! As Vampire Bat faded away, a crimson seal on the door was lifted. "Looks like we're moving right on."
The area that had been unlocked looked like a courtyard. Burst and the others hadn't entered far when they heard something striking against the trees. What they saw looked like a Lycanthrope! It paused when it smelled them, but it didn't attack. "By the looks of things, you're after the fang-face in charge of things here."
"And if we are?", Inferno asked.
"Ya might want this.", the Lycanthrope said as he handed them a map. "All I wanted to do was lounge in my house, and whoever my former master is possessing goes and blows the dog whistle. Man that thing stings!"
"Thanks...um?"
"Call me Silver.", Silver said. He soon froze when he picked up a familiar scent. "Oh man. Not him again."
"What?"
"My cousin. He's a bit....exciteable." Almost out of nowhere, a Pitch Black Warwolf showed up.
"You're really lettin' 'em through cuz?"
Silver face-pawed. "Look Pitch. I didn't want to be here, and I'm not sticking around here any longer. I am going back home and chasing my tail the rest of this night. You're on your own."
"Fine. I challange the one in red pajamas to a duel!"
That comment was enough to get Inferno motivated. "Alright Rover! Give it your best shot! And FYI, it's a martial arts gi!"
Inferno: 8000 Pitch: 8000
"I'm up first!", Pitch said. "I summon Gene-Warped Warwolf in attack mode! Try to get past this big dog!"
"Time to send him packing to the vet!", Inferno said as he drew a card! "I'll summon Red Eyes Black Chick! Now I'll banish him to special summon Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon! Then I'll use Metal's effect to special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon from my hand! Red Eyes, take down Warwolf! Attack him directly!"
Pitch-Black Warwolf shielded himself from the flames, but noticed his tail was on fire!
"I end my turn by placing one card face-down."
Inferno: 8000 Pitch: 4800
"I play the spell card Warwolf Pack! This lets me special summon three cards with warwolf in their name at the price of half my life points! Next I activate the spell card Wolf's Rage! This lets all of my Warwolves attack one monster and combines their attack points! The only down side is that you take no damage and they're put into defense mode.", Pitch said as he summoned three copies of himself and had them attack Darkness Metal. "Your move."
Inferno: 8000 Pitch: 2400
"Time to end this in a blaze of glory! I activate the card I set! Harmony Absolute! I'll tribute the Red Eyes on my field to summon Red Eyes Absolute Dragon! Then I'll play Dragon Shrine to send a normal dragon to my graveyard! And since it was a normal dragon, I can send another dragon to the graveyard! Then I'll use Red Eyes Absolute's special ability! By halving his attack points for this turn, he can attack you directly! Absolute Inferno Fire Blast!"
Pitch yiped as the flames hit him again and literally took off back to the monster world with his tail between his legs. And another crimson barrier had dissolved after his defeat.
The next area looked like a colliseum, and the stands were filled with mummies and people who looked like they were from ancient Egypt! "Looks like we're the main event.", Burst said with a chuckle. From the looks of things, the figure at the center seemed to be the reigning champion. He seemed to notice Burst.
"A-hah! A wielder of a legendary dragon has come to face me! The undefeated Abidos the Third! Tell me your name so that this glorious duel shall live on in history!"
Burst cracked a smile. "Burst Stream. And I'm the one who's going to break your undefeated streak!"
Burst: 8000 Abidos: 8000
"I'll make the first move! I summon Pharaoh's Servant in attack mode!", Abidos boasted! "Can any monster in your deck hope to stand up to it?"
"I can think of one.", Burst said with a smirk. "I summon Maiden with Eyes of Blue and end my turn."
"Hah! An amateur move! Attack Servant!"
"Just what I was hoping for! Since you chose to attack her, I can special summon Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck and negate your attack!"
"It appears you have some skills after all. I end my turn."
"Time to step things up a bit! I play Dragon Shrine to send one Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to the graveyard! And since it was a normal monster, I get to send another dragon! The next dragon I sent was White Stone of Legend! Now I can add another Blue Eyes from my deck to my hand! I'll use his effect to destroy your Pharaoh's Servant! Now both of my dragons can attack you directly! White Lightning!" Abidos braced himself as he took the full force of the attack! "So Abidos? You having the duel of your afterlife?"
Abidos removed his mask to reveal his face. He was smiling. "I should have expected nothing less from the partner of a legendary dragon!"
Burst smiled in return. "Glad you're having a ball. I end my turn."

"The owner of this castle was true to her word when she said strong duelists would be facing me. I only regret that I myself am no true champion. Almost all of my opponents let me win.", Abidos said with a defeated smile.
"I'll tell you what. I'll skip the next few of my turns so you can summon out your ace monster.", Burst said with a kind smile. "We wouldn't want the crowd to get bored would we?" Burst motioned to the huge audience cheering for Abidos.
"You're right! I play Temple of the Kings! This allows me to play trap cards the turn I set them! I'll set and activate The First Sarcophagus! Then I'll set a monster in defense mode! Your move!"
"I'll use Alternative's effect to destroy your monster and end my turn."
"Now I get to use First Sarcophagus's effect! I can put Second Sarcophagus on the field from my deck! I'll set a monster and end my turn!"
"I summon White Stone of Ancients! Now I'll tune my Maiden with Blue Eyes Alternative to synchro summon Azure Eyes Silver Dragon! And I'll also tune White Stone of Ancients with one of my Blue Eyes to synchro summon Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon! I'll put both of them in defense mode and end my turn!"
"Now I can place Third Sarcophagus on the field! Now I special summon Spirit of the Pharaoh! Attack Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon!" As Spirit charged forth, he was knocked back by Blue Eyes Spirit's defense! "Looks like I cant get past your defenses."
"Let's end this with style! I'll activate Azure Eyes's effect! I can revive a normal dragon in my graveyard ! One Blue Eyes takes down your monster, and the other attacks you directly!" Both Blue Eyes let out a mighty roar as they unleashed their attacks! "And that's game!"
"Thank you for one final duel before my people and I pass on.", Abidos said as he and the whole stadium faded away and another barrier was dissolved.
Twilight could scarcely believe what she saw! The next area looked like a lab fused with a library! "I wish I could have a room like this!"
"Excuse me, but is there something I can assist you with?" The group looked up and were staring right at Cyber-Stein.
"Um..would you be so kind as to dis-spell the barrier in our way?", Rarity asked politely.
"But of course. I merely wish to continue my creator's research on fusion in peace. One minute the two of us were in the lab, and the next thing I know I'm separated from him and in the human realm. Anyway, I should advise you two that the next two guardians are not to be trifled with. I wish you the best of luck in facing them."
"Okay...things just got more creepy.", Shadow said as he took note of the group's surroundings. The next area was completely dark save for the ghostly blue flame that hung on what looked like the ceiling.
"I've got a bad feeling about this...", Ace said. "I can feel two powerful shadow auras in this room."
"Your instincts serve you well.", a voice said in the darkness. Soon the room was lit up by more flames that seemed to just hover in the air. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Bram. The Crimson Vampire Knight. And since you pose a threat to my mistress, I must eliminate you."
"If you wish to harm master, you'll have to get by me!", Blueblood said as he activated his duel disk.
"I've got your back Blueblood!", Steel said.
"Count me in!", Mercury said.
"Hmph. I respect that you have warriors' spirits as I once did. So I shall indulge you with a duel.", Bram said with a smirk. "But you shall soon fall."

"My move.", Bram said. "I play Cost-Down to summon Shadow Vampire at no cost! Now that he's on the field, I special summon Vampire Duke! Now I overlay my monsters to xyz summon myself!" Bram then stepped onto the field. "I'll set a card face-down and end my turn."
"I draw!", Blue blood said. "I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman! Then I'll play Mask Change! I target Sparkman, and send him to the graveyard to special summon Masked Hero Koga! Now I'll activate his effect! I banish one Hero monster from my graveyard and target one monster my opponent controls! It loses that hero's attack points! Also, Koga gains 500 attack for each monster on my opponent's field! And last time I checked, you were on the field! Attack with Shine Blade Strike!"
"ARGH!", Bram hissed as the light hit him and he was forced off the field.

"Impressive. But I have far worse in store.", Bram said with a wicked grin. "I summon Chthonian Soldier in attack mode!"
"I special summon Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight since I control no monsters! Attack Chthonian Soldier! Spiral Spear Strike!"
Bram grinned as Chthonian Soldier was destroyed. "You fell for it. Any damage done to me while Chthonian Soldier is destroyed is also done to you!" Steel winced as the force of his own attack hit him!

Now I'll tune them to synchro summon Doomkaiser Dragon! Destroy Lord Gaia! Doomkaiser flame!" Steel's monster was gone in a sea of flames! "I end my turn."

Then I'll play Monster Reincarnation! I discard one card to return a monster in my graveyard to my hand! Take out Doomkaiser! Buster Slash!" With one slash, Doomkaiser was destroyed. "I end my turn."

I summon Masked Hero Anki! His special ability lets him attack you directly, but the battle damage is halved! Then I'll play Mask Charge to return one change card and one hero card to my hand. I end my turn."

Bram was knocked back from the blast generated by BLS's sword!

"My move then!", Mercury said as he drew a card. "I summon Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman and tune him with Buster Blader! I synchro summon Buster Dragon! Now I'll use his special ability! Since I don't control a Buster Blader, I can special summon one from my graveyard! Now both of them attack you directly!" Bram shielded himself from the wall of flames and furious slashes from both monsters! "That's all for my turn."

"Now things will go in my favor!", Bram sneered as he looked at the card he drew. "I play Soul Charge to revive two monsters from my graveyard and pay 1000 life points for each in defense mode! You might destroy them, but my life points will be safe!"
"Time to start finishing this! I play Fusion Substitute! Now I fuse Masked Heroes Koga and Enki to summon Contrast Hero Chaos! Now I play the spell card Heated Heart! I can target one monster I control and he gains 500 attack! And he inflicts piercing damage! Contrast Blast!" Chaos fired off a blast of light and dark energy that destroyed one of Bram's defense mode monsters! "Too bad your zombies aren't smart enough to defend themselves!"

"This isn't possible!", Bram screamed as he was on his last legs!
"Time to end this!", Mercury said. "You two with me?" Blueblood and Steel nodded.
"Warrior's Spirit Shockwave!", they cried together as a massive shock-wave of energy was sent out from their monster's fighting spirit!
"I failed!", Bram screamed as he faded away!
"Wait. I thought there were supposed to be two guardians!", Inferno said.
"Yeah. Fighting really isn't my thing.", Shadow Lich said as he oozed out of the shadows and turned on the lights. "I just kinda wanna chill and sleep. Now that Buz-kill Bram's gone, I can head back home. See ya." And with that Shadow Lich returned to the monster realm. The final barrier had dissolved, and the final showdown awaited them.
"Hey guys?", Starlight asked. "Remember when Silver said that his master was possessing the current master of this castle? If we want to get Fluttershy back, shouldn't we try to find out how she's being controlled?"
"I think I have a pretty good idea of how.", Burst said. "Inferno. You know that necklace she had that gave off that weird feeling? I think that's what's making her like this. So all we have to do is get it off her."
"I got the feeling that'll be easier said than done.", Inferno said. "Chances are she's not gonna give it up without a duel."
"Which is why Starlight is going to be dueling with me."
"WHAT?!", Starlight shouted. "You're trusting me that much already? I don't even know if I can duel at your level!" Burst put his hand on her shoulder.
"Starlight, calm down and listen to me. I know you're scared. But if you believe in your deck, then your cards believe in you. And don't worry about the pressure. Just try to enjoy every duel that comes your way.", Burst said with a smile. "How else do you think I've been able to handle saving the world so much?"
Starlight gave him a small smile. "Thanks Burst. Let's do it!" The group then entered the final area of the castle. The throne room was vacant except for Flutterbat waiting for them.
"You showed up.", she said with a smirk.
"Isn't it rude to keep a lady waiting?", Burst asked. "Besides, we're here to get the Fluttershy we know and love back. And all it'll take is Starlight and me to do it." Burst said as he and Starlight activated their duel disks. "I'm sure you aren't going down without a fight?"
"You got that right.", Flutterbat said as she activated her duel disk.
Burst and Starlight: 16000 Flutterbat: 16000
"I'll be taking the first turn.", Flutterbat said. "I play the field spell Vampire Kingdom! I summon Vampire Koala! During damage calculation, all zombie-type monsters I control gain 500 attack! Unfortunately I can't attack during my first turn. Your move."
"Let's light up this duel!", Burst said as he drew a card. "Nice! I play Cards of Consonance to discard White Stone of Ancient to draw two new cards! Now I'll end my turn! And since White Stone of Ancients is in my graveyard, I can speical summon a Blue Eyes monster from my deck! I summon Blue Eyes White Drag on! Take down her Vampire Koala! White Lightning!" Flutterbat shielded herself when Blue Eyes' attack hit! "That's it for my turn."

"I summon Vampire Sorcerer! And since he's one the field, I can add one dark 'vampire' monster to my hand! I end my turn."
"I guess I'm up.", Starlight said. "I summon Galaxy Eyes Cloudragon! Now I'll tribute him to special summon Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon from my hand! Now I summon Galaxy Knight since I control a 'galaxy' monster! Now Galaxy Eyes attacks your wizard! And Galaxy Knight attacks you directly! Photon Stream of Destruction and Galaxia Strike!"
"Time to take this duel out of this world!", Galaxy Eyes said as he launched a stream of photon energy from his mouth while Galaxy Knight attacked Flutterbat directly!
"I'll then set a card and end my turn."

Flutterbat smiled. "You just played right into my hands! When Vampire Wizard is in the graveyard, I can banish him to normal summon a vampire monster without tributing! I special summon Vampire Vamp! And now I'll use her special ability! When she or another vampire is normal summoned, I can target one monster on your field whose attack is higher than hers and equip it to her! She then gains their attack! I choose Blue Eyes!" Blue Eyes was caught in a dark mist and placed in Flutterbat's spell and trap card zone! "Now attack him directly!" Vamp slashed right at Burst's life points! "I end my turn."

"Well...only one way to end this. I play the Melody of Awakening Dragon! I discard a card to add two dragons with 3000 or more attack and 2500 or less attack to my hand! Now I'll reveal Blue Eyes to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative! Now I'll play Return of the Dragon Lords to revive Dragon Spirit of White! Now I overlay my monsters to summon Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon! I detach one overlay unit to negate the effects of all face-up cards on the field and the attack and defense of our monsters returns to normal! Destroy Vampire Vamp! Tachyon Stream!"
"Let there be light!", Tachyon shouted as he fired a powerful laser from his mouth! In a flash of light, Vampire Vamp was gone and Blue Eyes was back in Burst's graveyard.

Now I'll detach an overlay unit to revive one monster from your graveyard! I choose Blue Eyes White Dragon! Destroy Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon!"
"I activate my face-down card! Photon Current! This lets Galaxy Eyes gain attack equal to Blue Eyes until the end of this turn!" Photon's body glowed with a brilliant blue light as he gained Blue Eyes' attack strength!
"Hope this snaps you out of it Blue Eyes!", Galaxy Eyes said before he fired his attack. When the light faded, Blue Eyes was back where he belonged.
"Now it's my turn! I overlay Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon and Galaxy Knight to xyz summon Number 62: Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon! And since I control a Galaxy Eyes xyz monster, I can attach Galaxy Eyes Cloudragon from as an overlay unit! Now I'll attack and activate Prime's effect! By detaching one overlay unit, Prime gains attack equal to the combined ranks of all xyz monsters on the field times 200! And last I checked the total ranks were 13! This boosts him to 6600! Prime Photon Stream!" Prime let out a mighty roar as he fired a stream of pure light that destroyed Crimson Knight Vampire Bram! "I end my turn."

I overlay my two monsters to xyz summon Number 24: Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon and activate his effect! I detach an overlay unit to switch one monster special summoned from the extra deck on your side of the field in defense mode and end my turn."

Now he gains 300 attack for each monster in my graveyard ! Bringing him up to 5500 attack points! Attack with Absolute Neutron Blast!"
"Prepare to meet the light!", Blue Eyes said as he fired a mighty blast!

"Who said anything about destroying him?", Starlight said. "I activate my spell card! Photon Stream of Destruction! I can target and banish one monster my opponent controls! Burst! Let's end this together!"
"Right!"
"Light of Absolution!", Burst and Starlight shouted as Blue Eyes and Galaxy Eyes fired a massive blast of light that struck Flutterbat directly! When the light faded, Fluttershy was back to normal and so were her clothes.
"Nnh. Where am I? I remember trying on that necklace and then...", Fluttershy said weakly.
"Easy there Shy.", Rainbow said as she helped her up. "You weren't acting like yourself for a while."
"We aren't done yet guys.", Burst said as he noticed a mass of shadows swirling together. "I think the real one behind this is about to show up." When the shadows took form, it was revealed to be a woman wearing a red dress with green hair and also noticeable was the necklace she was wearing. It was exactly like the one Fluttershy had worn.
"I must applaud your skill.", she said with a smirk. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Camula. Former Vampire Mistress of the Shadow Riders."
"So you're why Fluttershy was acting weird? Whip out your deck and lets settle this!", Rainbow said.
"You are not worthy.", Camula said with a scoff. "Your friend who defeated her on the other hand..."
"And here I thought you just wanted to duel me because of my good looks. Now that you're out in the open, I can pay you back for what you did to Fluttershy."
"Then my I have the name of the duelist I'm facing?"
"Burst Stream.", Burst said as the two of them activated their duel disks.
Burst: 8000 Camula: 8000
"By all means. Ladies first."
"How charming. I play the field spell Infernalvania! Now I summon Zombie Werewolf and end my turn."
"That won't happen! I draw! Huh. This going to be over quick. I play Trade-In to discard a level eight monster in my hand to draw two new cards! Then I'll play Dragon Shrine to send a normal dragon to the graveyard! And since a normal dragon was sent, I can send another! The other monster I sent was White Stone of Legend which lets me add a Blue Eyes White Dragon to my hand! Now I play the spell card Harmony Absolute and send Blue Eyes White Dragon from my hand to my graveyard to summon Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon! Attack Zombie Werewolf! Absolute Neutron Blast! And then I'll end my turn."

"I must admit that I didn't expect you to bring out such a strong monster in your first turn. But high attack points mean nothing if you can't protect him from effects! I play Tribute to the Doomed! I can discard one card and destroy one monster on your field! And now I play Mummy's Call! Once per turn I can special summon a zombie-type monster! I choose Vampire Lord! Now I'll banish him to special summon Vampire Genesis!", Camula said with a smirk as Blue Eyes was covered with mummy wrappings! But Blue Eyes Absolute broke free of his bindings with a mighty roar! "What? How is this possible?"
"He's got absolute in his name for a reason. He's immune to all card effects! Looks like it sucks to be Vampire Genesis right now! End this Blue Eyes!"
"Absolute Neutron Blast!", Blue Eyes cried out as he fired his ultimate attack! Genesis was destroyed in a flash of light! When it was all over, Camula was crying. But they weren't tears of sorrow.
"At last...I can pass on with the rest of my kind.", she said with a smile as she faded away. "Thank you for ending my torment." And in a flash of light, she was gone. Soon the castle began to flux in and out of existence.
"That's our cue to leave! Let's go!", Burst said. And the group made it out just before the castle faded away. "Blueblood. I hope the party isn't over back at your place."
Blueblood smiled as he pulled off his helmet. "Master, something tells me things are just getting started!"
Burst and the other guys decided to stay in costume when they discussed which song they should perform this time. "It's time guys! Let's go!" And with that, they took the stage as their song began to play.

Vengeance. It was the all-consuming thought on Dark Ice's mind ever since he was defeated seemingly for good and Dark Mist was destroyed. "I will not meet my end here! I will rise again! And I will have my vengeance!"
"Whoa! I don't know what you're going on about, but I like your fire!", a new voice said. Ice turned to face the source, and found himself face-to-face with the legendary Red Dragon Archfiend. "Tell ya what. I'll help you get out of here. But only if you accept me as your dueling partner. So what do you say?"
Dark Ice sneered. "I accept! With you by my side, I will be unstoppable!" In a blast of flame, Ice found himself back in the human world. "Ace goes to CHS. So it looks like I'm joining Crystal Prep. He's my rival, so it only makes sense to attend CHS's rival! That geeky uniform is going to take some getting used to though..."
