I don't know how to describe the last two days, except very chaotic. First the Princess sent me to Ponyville to oversee the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. Shortly after arriving there, I met the ponies who would turn out to be my best friends. I will admit that our first introduction had been less than ideal - and a little painful- but I managed to make a valid hypothesis about the town of Ponyville.

That said, I guess that's why they're so lovable. Anyways, during the celebration an old prophecy had come true. Can it truly be called a prophecy? Just for the fun of it, I'm going to say yes. Nightmare Moon had returned, and tried to force Equestria into eternal darkness. After I left to go and try to find the elements, these complete strangers insisted on joining me. I eventually surrendered, and let them come of course. You never know what you'll encounter in the Everfree Forest. As proven by the sea serpent, land slides, and manticores.
After reaching the old castle, we managed to find the Elements of Harmony and defeat Nightmare Moon. I felt like a superhero in one of Spike's comic books. Afterwards the Princess showed up. I'm still not sure where she had been. She explained that Nightmare Moon is really her younger sister Luna. After an emotional reunion, and a brief overview of the Elements, we resumed the Summer Sun Celebration.
At the end, I was amazed at myself. When it was time to go back to Canterlot, I didn't want to go. So the Princess told me to stay in Ponyville, so I can study friendship. Wish me luck...I have a feeling I'm going to need it.
The lesson I learned from all of this is that it's perfectly alright to trust complete strangers. As long as you're able to use them to force a jealous younger sister to act the way you want.
So today the Princess sent me two tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala. Little did I know that my friends could get even crazier. After Spike had refused the ticket, I had to pick one of them to go with me. Long story short, after a very long day -and I mean very long day- the Princess sent tickets so we all could go.
The lesson I learned from today is that no matter where I live, the Princess will always love messing with me. I will get my revenge though. Just wait until the gala.
Today I learned that Applejack's brother Bic Macintosh, had gotten hurt after an accident that Rainbow Dash still refuses to tell us about. I will figure it out though. Anyways because he can't work for a couple of weeks, Applejack took on the task of harvesting the entire orchard by herself. That along with helping out her friends with different things. After an entire day of her stubbornness, annoying me, almost sending Rainbow Dash to the hospital (You know what they say about paybacks), causing an adorable rampage through town, and causing half of Ponyville to get food poisoning, she finally allowed us to help.
The lesson I learned is that stubbornness can destroy an entire town, and cause multiple ponies to develop hysteria. Now I'm terrified of Spikes teenage years.
Rainbow Dash's griffon friend Gilda came for a visit today. Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned. Gilda turned out to be a bully. While all of us were blind to her actions, Pinkie Pie had been the first to notice. I felt so bad because I accused Pinkie Pie of being jealous. I was wrong though. Pinkie had thrown a party for Gilda to try and improve her attitude. That's when all of us saw her true colors. Now I no longer feel bad for laughing at her, when she set off Rainbow's pranks. I'm curious if other griffons are like Gilda. I do feel terrible for Rainbow though. She lost a foalhood friend.
The lesson that I learned is always pay attention to how your "friends" are acting. They might not be how they seem, and you might end up with Fluttershy crying, an upset Pinkie Pie, and a peeved off Rainbow Dash. Nopony wants to be in town when that happens.
The Great and Powerful I think it was Trixie came to Ponyville today. You know, when there is legit magic in Equestria, what is the point of show ponies? I mean, I know they are supposed to be a form of entertainer, but can't they get more creative? All it is, is basic magic crossed with explosives. They're more pyromaniacs than anything. Now say if an earth pony or pegasus were to do that, than I would be a little more impressed. No, it's not racist! However, I guess there a few types of magic other than the kind that most ponies think of. There's...
Chakra magic that allows unicorns to do spells such as levitation.
Solar magic that allows earth ponies to gain their strength, and talent at growing crops or cooking.
Oxidane magic that allows pegasi to control the weather, and walk on clouds.
Than the self-explanatory friendship magic.
Now I guess there is also stage magic. (If it can be called magic). Illusions and explosives to attempt to trick un-expecting ponies, into possible humiliation.
The lesson that I learned today is that I shouldn't be afraid of showing off my magic. As long as it means saving Ponyville from an Ursa Minor attack, caused by and egotistical liar who unintentionally gave the wrong ponies stupid and dangerous ideas. Now I know why you always hear "DON'T try this at home", before every show.
Today the Princess sent my friends and I to deal with a dragon who had been sleeping in a cave near Ponyville. The smoke had been polluting the air, and making it dangerous to breath.
The lesson I learned today is that next time we have to deal with a creature like that...just Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy will suffice. Rainbow Dash to carry Fluttershy there, and Fluttershy because she can be freaking scary!

A huge storm hit Ponyville today. Because of the storm, Rarity and Applejack stayed at the Golden Oaks Library with me for a sleepover. My very first sleepover! So naturally, I found my book explaining activities and situations that occur while at sleepovers. I don't think I quite caught on to some of the activities though. Those two constantly fighting didn't help anything either. Finally after their fighting caused a giant tree branch to fly into my bedroom, they finally stopped. I'm not sure if all sleepovers are like this, but I pray to Celestia that they're not.
The lesson I learned is that you should never be alone in a room with Rarity and Applejack, without some backup. Your sanity might be on the line. Where's Pinkie Pie when you need her?
Today I was introduced to Zecora. She had come to town looking for potion ingredients, but because of the way she looked...everypony had been scared of her. After an accident -that we shall NEVER recall again- we ended up becoming friends with her. I think we all learned a lesson today that you shouldn't judge a book by their cover. Also, more importantly...I was proven correct that curses aren't real.
The lesson I learned today is that I have a lot more studying to do. First on zebrakins, so that I can understand Zecora's culture better. Second on poison joke. I still haven't forgotten about the gala tickets.
Today Fluttershy found an adorable bug called a parasprite.
The lesson I learned today is that if you see one...RUN! Just run as fast as you can. If you can't, then make sure you have something musical around. Your town's survival may depend on it.
Today was my first winter wrap up since moving to Ponyville. I will admit that I had not expected it to be so...disorganized. The last time I experienced something with that chaotic, I was ten in my class science fair. Ironically enough, both today and at the fair I wasn’t allowed to use magic. I had a not so secret, secret up my sleeve though.
The lesson I learned today, is sometimes it’s good to have OCD. It might save you, or somepony else, a trip to the hospital.
Today had actually been somewhat boring. For a while at least. I had been helping out some of my friends, when we discovered that Apple Bloom had literally made herself sick. She used one of Zecora’s potions to try and give herself a cutie mark. Although it didn’t turn out so well, I am curious about what other properties it holds when perhaps mixed slightly different. Perhaps it could even give a others such as a dragon or griffon a cutie mark.
The lesson I learned today, is actually nothing. All I did was help clean. Hopefully Apple Bloom learned something though.
Today had been the annual Running of the Leaves. I know I should have learned something about how slow and steady wins the race, but let’s face it, we all know that. Other than the entertainment that came from Rainbow Dash and Applejack trying to kill each other, and failing badly, I did learn a very valuable lesson.
Today I learned, that you NEVER give Pinkie Pie a bullhorn. I didn’t think it had been possible for her to get any louder, yet she somehow managed. I’m still having trouble hearing .
I actually feel bad about today. Rarity had offered to make us some beautiful dresses for the gala, and we took advantage of her generosity and basically forced her to make us all new dresses. I had planned on doing a long story based off the design of the dress I had her design for me, but frankly I’m just too tired. I think I'm going to call it an early night.
The lesson I learned today is that you should let ponies who know what their doing design the dresses. The ones that my friends and I designed were just horrible. Although I will admit that my dress had been the most thought out design.
As a filly I always strived to learn the answer to any scientific mystery that was bestowed upon me. I couldn’t find a problem I couldn’t solve. That is until today. While I don’t know how she is doing it, Pinkie Pie somehow has...unnatural powers she calls her PInkie sense. While I don’t understand it now, I promise I will figure out how it happens. If I don’t, then my name is not Twilight Sparkle!
Today we went to watch a flying competition that Rainbow Dash was competing in, in Cloudsdale. I don’t even know where to start. Thanks to a little spell of mine, we were able to go and see the weather factor. It’s amazing to see how many rainbows there are. I’m still curious how exactly they make the colors, but that’s a question for another time. I however learned a very important lesson today.
The lesson I learned today is that you shouldn’t give your friend highly flammable butterfly wings. Otherwise the sun may burn them, causing your friend to fall to her death. However, if it hadn't been for that, I doubt that Rainbow Dash could have been able to perform the sonic rainboom. I also learned that the Wonderbolts should just stick with practiced stunts. How one pony managed to knock all of them out is so ridiculous, that it’s laughable.
Can you remind me what happened today? Something about Fluttershy, a cockatrice, and tea? Fluttershy said I had been turned to stone, but what happened before that? It all a blur.
Today I learned that somehow Fluttershy can manage to out-stare a cockatrice. This brings me back to our dragon mission. Now I repeat, Fluttershy is freaking scary! Deny it all you want, you can’t say it’s not true.
Today the school had put on a talent show, and wow it was adorable. That is, until the CMC. While I’m happy that they are trying new things, I think that it would be in their best interest to stick to the things they are good at. Not to mention that you should leave the singing up to Sweetie Belle. Otherwise somepony, not saying whom, may “accidently” leave that bullhorn on Pinkie’s doorstep.
The lesson I learned today, is that it doesn’t matter the generation. All ponies are eager to get their cutie marks. That is until their bodies start changing, and they want to go back to how they were. I think we’ve all been there.
Today had been interesting to say the least. Rarity had been kidnapped by Diamond Dogs who wanted to use her talent to find gems. My friends and I may have gotten lost a couple times in the tunnels while searching for her, after my spell failed. I however, will never admit it to my friends that I had trouble performing such a basic spell. As far as they are concerned, I had just been tired that day.
The lesson I learned today is that only Rarity can literally whine herself out of a situation. I suppose that over exaggerated, drama that she does is actually good for something. Well something other than an excuse to lay down and eat ice cream that is.
I will admit that today had been more than amusing. Fluttershy had been offered a modeling job, and naturally Rarity had gotten jealous. As beautiful as she is, why offer the shyest pony in Equestria a position where she would have to be seen by huge crowds of ponies? You know, because that’s not going to cause issues at all.
The lesson I learned today, is natural beauty trumps all else. So can somepony please take away Rarity’s makeup? I like them on occasion, but if I have to do one more makeover this week for her, I’m going to scream.
I’m not even going to attempt to summarize the chaos that had been today. From buffalo attacking our train and taking a tree hostage, to a very delicious war. Appleloosians really know how to bake. Oh, they had Spike also. I can’t forget him. It had been a day I won't forget for a very long time.
The lesson I learned today, is that buffalo are very traditional and must follow everything exactly. However they may be persuaded after a while. I also learned not to let Pinkie Pie sing during a peace conference; otherwise it might turn into a war. On second thought, let her sing. We get free pie.
Do you ever feel like you’ve relived something? Today had been one of those days. Fluttershy had taken Celestia’s phoenix Philomena, thinking that she had been sick. After she had escaped it led us to a crazy search to find her again, before Celestia notices her disappearance. I don’t know what’s more trouble to catch. A phoenix that likes to play dead by literally setting itself on fire, or a parasprite that will just eat everything in it’s way. We are still missing a couple ponies.
The lesson I learned today is that I think Luna and Fluttershy need to have a nice long talk about rare animals that can hurt or possibly kill you. You would think that the “animal expert” would know what to do, but obviously not. “Sighs” Now it’s time for another lecture from Celestia. I’m not looking forward to this.
Today Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo, were going around to us asking for the stories of how we got our cutie marks. Turns out we all got our cutie marks because of Rainbow Dash. She had performed a sonic rainboom, and it somehow gave us the strength we need to accomplish the task that gave us our cutie mark...I think. It’s the Pinkie sense all over again!
Anyways the lesson I learned today, is that you can make friends with ponies you may have never even met. Also, Rainbow Dash’s ego can get even larger. I didn’t think that was possible, but apparently it is.
So today I had gotten a new assistant named Owlicious. Not to replace Spike, but to help me at nighttime when he’s sleeping. He is a baby dragon after all. He needs his sleep. Sadly, things didn’t go as I had hoped they would. Spike thought I didn’t need him anymore, and left. I could never replace him though. He’s too much of a hoot. He’s a loving and caring friend and assistant. I hope he never feels that I don’t love him again.
The lesson I learned today is that I need to be clearer when I talk to him, to prevent any more misunderstandings. And future me…
Today was the gala. While it hadn’t gone quite as planned, I managed to do the one thing I wanted to. Even if it had been at the doughnut shop after the gala, and not at the party itself. I managed to sneak the poison joke in her tea. I haven’t forgotten that ticket prank you pulled on me. Sleep well Princess. Sleep well.
