One day I was having a blast at my local comic con the next, I'm in equestria and look like my favorite Pokemon.
I had finally gotten my costume ready to go for the comic con convention that was going on in my hometown, and it was nearly perfect. I ended up finding the last part of my costume at a merchants shop at the convention. Before I knew what happened, I was teleported to the land of equestria, and I looked exactly like my favorite Pokemon, Dewott. Now it's my job to help the citizens of equestria, even if they don't want it.
Also, I did not draw my cover art, I found it on google, I will not take credit for it. I own nothing here except for the story Finally, my character will be able to use more than four moves. I plan to make it so that he starts out with a few moves and ends up learning all of the other moves that he normally would as well as moves for samurott
A while back I made a promise to myself, that before I graduate from high school, I would cosplay as one of my favorite video game characters and go to comic con at least once. My dream came true when I found out that it would be taking place in my home town of ST.Louis. I immediately started thinking of ideas as to what I should be, and then it hit me. I would cosplay as the first Pokemon that I ever got, Dewott! Sure, technically oshawott was my first Pokemon, but Dewott was his coolest form. It took two weeks to find clothing that would work with my character, and then another week to get it all painted. The last few days before the con started up, I managed to find whiskers like Dewott's as well as made the tail. The only thing that I didn't have, was the scalchops.
The first day of the con I went around looking at all the other cosplayers, complimenting them on their costumes, and on the second day, I went to meet some of the actors who play my favorite characters such as Matt Damian, Wesley crusher, and even the great John DeLancie! On the last day, I decided to go around and try to find a souvenir or two. I ended up buying a replica of the leather jacket and glasses worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger just because I figured I'd try to be him next time comic con rolled around, but for now I’m just gonna wear it because it makes me look even cooler.
Just before I left the convention though, I saw a merchant standing next to a strange looking cart. I decided to check out what he might have, and to my surprise he had a pink ribbon that looked rather nice, a green gemstone cut in the shape of a triangle, and most importantly, two shells that looked like they would go perfectly with my costume. I walked up to them and picked them up to get a closer look. The man then walked up to me as two other people decided to go check out what he has, one picks up the ribbon, while the other looks at the gemstone
The merchant walked up to all three of us, and started to give us prices "$20$ for each item. Are any of you interested in making a purchase?"
I looked into my wallet, seeing that I was flat broke. "Sorry sir, but I'm afraid I don't have the money to be able to afford your items." The other two people with me said the same thing.
Then the merchant said to all of us, "If you can't buy them, then can you at least take a pose with them? It would warm an old man’s heart to see his merchandise in the hands of people who appreciate it."
We all decide to humor him, each one of us taking a pose that makes us seem like we're preparing for combat. Suddenly, I get a weird feeling in my gut, and feel like I'm disappearing. Looking around quickly, I both of my fellow cosplayers start to vanish. Then I black out. I wake up later with a massive headache and look around. I look around to try and figure out where I am. I notice that I am in a forest and see a castle off in the distance. I decide to walk over to the castle, until I hear a scream. I quickly turn around and run in the direction of the scream, only to find a pony being surrounded by timber wolves. "I thought Dewott couldn't learn teleport" I say to myself, as I jump into the fray
I land in front of the young pony who was about to become lunch to some very hungry predators before saying “Hey kid, I got you. Everything is going to be alright.” While also grabbing my scalchops from my legs. It was at that moment that I realized what I became. “I’m an actual Dewott now? That’s so cool! Alright let's try this, aqua pulse!” I shout as a sphere of water forms in between my hands before I throw it at my foes. All but one of them dodge it, and when it hits a wolf, it simply shrugs it off. “Great, I have to worry about type match ups now, don’t I. Let's see, they’re made of wood, but they also give off a weird glow, so are they grass and dark?” I say to myself as one of the wolves jumps at me.
Thinking fast I shout “fury cutter!” And hit it with my scalchop, knocking it to the side. When it lands, it stands right back up, but seems to be limping slightly, letting me know that the move was super effective. I grin since I know that the more I use fury cutter in battle, the more damage it does, but I’ll be overwhelmed if I can’t take the wolves out fast enough. Suddenly I get an idea after remembering a similar episode in the Pokemon tv show. “Aqua Jet!” I shout as I cover myself in water and send myself flying towards my opponents. Just as I near the first one, I shout “fury cutter!”, hitting all of them in a fly by combo. The wolves up front seem relatively unharmed but the last few ones are struggling to stand up due to how much power went into my attack. I repeat this combo one more time, leaving all of the wolves severely injured, but still wanting to fight. Looking at them though I realize that they are soaked because of my attacks, so I prepare my final blow. “Ice beam!” I shout before unleashing a light blue beam that hits all of the wolves and freezes them solid. They break out after a few minutes of struggling, but then they run away realizing that they had lost the battle.
I put my scalchops back where they belong while I turn to look at the pony I had saved. She is small, and has a grey coat with silver glasses along with a pearl necklace. Her mane is a silvery white and ends in a long braid. On her flank is a decorative spoon that seems to be made out of silver. When I look at her face, I notice that her eyes are red and that she seems to have been crying. She walks up to me cautiously and says “Thank you. If you hadn’t shown up, I would’ve been eaten alive.”
“No problem, now let's get you back to your home, this forest isn’t the best place for a filly like yourself.”
I say to her while walking away, motioning for her to follow. She quickly catches up and we walk together in silence until we reach the edge of the forest. She continues to walk while I stay behind and say “Here we must part ways for now. Stay safe kid.”
“Wait, why don’t you come with me.” She replies
“The town might think I’m a monster kid, and I don’t want to have to deal with that just yet. I’ll be nearby if you need me though.” I say as I start to walk back into the forest
“Wait don’t go!” “What’s your name kid, I might as well know who you are if you really want me to stay in touch.”
“I’m Silver Spoon, but I want to know what your name is.”
“Silver Spoon ,huh, it was nice to meet you silver, I’m Jonny Bench. See ya!” I shout back to her as I use Aqua Jet to go zooming back into the forest while she starts to head back home.
Suddenly she remembers something she needs to do, and starts to run while shouting “I can’t believe that I skipped school!”
As I rushed back into the forest, I realized how stupid of an idea that was, because now it's late evening I am lost, and a predator could be right around the corner. Before I get a chance to panic though, a familiar sound reaches my ears. I look around to try and locate the source of the sound until I spot it, a river that doesn't seem to be too wide, but the bottom is unable to be seen. I decide to hop into the river and try to find out where it leads, just to check for a place to stay for the night. I swim downstream until I notice there are fewer trees around and take a look at my surroundings. It was at that moment, that I had found the best place to make my home that I possibly could.
I had found a small lake that was located on the outskirts of the town that Silver Spoon seemed to live in. Staying in that lake would enable me to meet up with her again and keep an eye on the town in case of a big monster attack. Most importantly, I could set up a base on the bottom of the lake where none of the ponies would be able to find me, and I wouldn't get eaten by a random monster. That's great for me! It also seems like there are plenty of fish I can eat here and lots of berry bushes that surround the lake.
I swim down to the bottom of the lake and tie myself down using the weeds that grow down there while I'm moving the weeds around though, I find a small pink disk with a button on it. My curiosity gets the better of me while I inspect it and I push the button. Then something seemed to have clicked in my mind and I apparently learned rest from pushing the button. I guess that's what it's like when a Pokemon learns a new move and that was a TM. Huh, go figure. "I wonder if there are more TM's hidden in the world out here." I ask myself as I finish anchoring myself in for the night. Instead of waiting to fall asleep natrually though I decide to use my new move to get the job done faster, and recover any lost HP from my battle earlier. As I use the move, I think to myself "sure is a good thing I can't use snore yet, that would lead to quite an unfortunate circumstance." And then I black out
As I wake up the next morning, I freak out, but only for a second as I remember what happened and where I am. Once I have calmed down from my "crisis" I proceed to untie myself and pop my head above the water to see just how close I am to the town. I almost immediately regret my decision as I am nearly spotted by a trio of fillies that are about silvers size. One is white with a two tone mane that's pink and lavender and a horn on her head, one is yellow with a bright red mane and a large pink bow, and the last one is orange with a magenta colored mane. As I pull my head back underwater all of them look towards the lake I'm in before the white filly says
"It's probably just a fish, now let's go! If we're late again we might get detention!" As she and the other two fillies run off down the road. Once they have left I pop my head up again, but more cautiously than before to look around. This time I take in everything that is around me. My lake is more of a large pond and is surrounded by bushes on almost all sides, which will let me hear if somepony is coming so I can hide before they spot me. I pull myself out of the water and take a peek over the bushes to get a look at the placement of my pond. That's when I realize just how badly I had screwed up.
Down the road a little ways is a building that resembles a shop and down the road in the opposite direction is the actual town. That could be very problematic to me since I might be discovered by the shop owner if he/she likes to swim in my pond or another pony decides to pop by for a nice swim to get out of the heat. Thinking about where I should go, I hear the sound of hoof steps approaching again. I quickly hop into the bush next to the path and look to see who is walking down the path. To my surprise it's silver. I try to make a little noise to grab her attention by rustling the bush, and it works. As she looks over and sees me, I motion for her to move closer to me. She climbs into the bush with me and then asks
"Jonny, what are you doing here? I thought you were going to live in the forest."
"I had a change in plans. I hopped into a stream that I found in the forest and it led to here. Although it may be risky for me to stay here, I'm gonna do it anyway."
"Alright, I'll make sure to stop by after school sometime. It'll be nice to have someone to chat with. Right now I have to get going though. See you then okay?"
"Alright, I'll try to spruce the place up a bit before you get here. See you then!" I reply as she steps out of the bush and starts to run towards the town. I chuckle to myself as I say to myself "kids these days, they always rush to go do something else. Oh well, might as well start setting up more of a permanent home for myself and start training." As I swim back upstream into the forest to start gathering supplies to build with.
I return a couple of hours later with a bag that I had woven out of reeds I found, filled to the top with more of the reeds. I swim to the bottom of the pond and start to weave the reeds together with the weeds on the bottom, to prevent my "hut" from drifting away. After another hour or two of weaving, the hut itself is almost done, it just needs to be water proofed. I swim around the pond and gather mud to fill in the cracks of my house. Once that process is done, I stand back and look at my work with pride. Before me is a hut that looks like a beaver den, with a special entrance to help keep water out. Inside the hut are a few aquatic plants that provide fresh air in the event that I have company over. Other than the plants all that is inside it is a pile of leaves and a nice soft clump of moss to use as a pillow. After looking at my house for a bit, I swim up to the surface to see if silver has arrived yet. What I see and hear though, surpirises me.
I see silver standing with a pink filly that has a lavender and white mane and has a tiara on her head and a picture of one on her flank, talking with they three fillies I had seen that morning. I notice though, that the pink filly is doing most of the talking and that she is making fun of the other fillies that are present. After a few minutes, the fillies walk away to the house I had seen earlier and the pink filly walks back towards the town while silver just sits there waiting for both parties to leave her line of sight. Once nopony else is visible she walks over to where the pond is and sits down next to it and calls out "Jonny, where are you?" I reply "right here silver, now would you care to explain why you and that other pony were making fun of those other three fillies?" "Oh, you saw that." She says is a rather sad tone "That was Diamond Tiara, the only friend I have besides you." "You understand that the reason you don't have many friends is because you treat other ponies like that right." "I do Jonny, but It's too late. Now nopony else with give me a chance to show who I am and be their friend, and if I do start to make a friend, Diamond ruins it by being mean to them." "Why don't you stop hanging out with diamond then?" "I can't do that, If I do then she'll go out of her way to keep other ponies from being my friend and she could ruin my life by just being mean to me. Also, she would've have a friend anymore, so she would be alone." "Silver, if you want to have more friends and make Diamond a better pony, then you have to show her some tough love. You have to stand up to her and tell her that what she is doing is wrong. If you don't it'll only get worse from there. Do you get what I'm saying?" "Yeah, thanks for the advice Jonny, and you're right! If I want things to change, then I need to start the change. Thanks's Jonny, you are the best. I know what I need to do tomorrow." "I'm glad I could help, now how about a swim? I could show you my home if you want." "I'm in, let's go!" Silver replies as I jump into the water. She takes off her glasses and sets them on the ground while untying the braid in her hair, before jumping in after me. I lead her down to where my hut is and show her in. She marvels at the fact that I built it in a day and seems to like it a lot. Afterwards, we swim back into the lake and swim around until the sun starts to disappear over the horizon. Silver hops out of the water and dries off for a little bit before starting her walk home. We say good bye to each other as she exits my pond side oasis, and she starts to walk home. I float on my back for a little bit before but right before I decide to swim back to my underwater home, a scream pierces the night followed by a cry for help "Jonny, help me!" I hop out of my pond, before running off towards the direction of my friends shouts.
As I catch up to my friend, I hear the voices of other ponies. "Kid you shouldn't have screamed, now we're gonna have to teach ya what happens to screamers." "Muggy, we gotta grab her and go, those blasted elements of harmony could get here any moment!" "Can it, will ya. I'm trying to teach a filly what happens when she does something wrong! Now keep a look out, in case we really do have to bolt."
I scan the area from a tall tree to see just what was going on. Silver, was surrounded by about six large stallions, all of which were brandishing a weapon of some sort. Two of them are unicorns, two are pegasi, and two of them are earth ponies. Five of them seem to be looking around, trying to make sure that nopony comes by and sees them, while the sixth one is moving towards Silver with a look of pure anger in his eyes.
"I Can't beat them, not in a fight like this. I need a plan." I say to myself as I hit the tree in frustration. Suddenly, a white disk falls out of the tree and hits me right in the head. "Hey, another TM! I hope that this'll be a good move." I say as I hit the button in the middle, activating it. Once I learn the move, I notice that this TM has just disappeared "Huh, guess it was an older model. But it still doesn't help, all it does is raise my evasion."I say to myself realising just how useful the move will be. Then I return my attention to the thugs that are threatening my friend, and I jump right at their leader.
"Heh, this is for trying to scream and run away you little twerp!" The leader of the group says as he raises the wooden club over his head to hit Silver, but just before it hits her, he hears someone shout "razor shell!" And his bat is sliced clean in half as a weird otter creature drops down in between him and his victim. "Silver, are you alright?" I ask my friend while helping her up. "I am now, thanks Jonny" she replies "Don't thank me yet, I still have to deal with these imbeciles. Now who wants a piece of me." I say to everyone present. One of the earth ponies runs at me, but I simply shout "water pulse!" And fire off a large ball of water at him. The attack hits him and I see stars floating around his head, but he's not done yet. He runs up and tries to punch me, but misses and hits himself right in between the eyes, knocking himself out cold. "One down, five to go. come on people, I don't have all night!" Then both of the pegasi take to the sky and start to fly right at me. As they are doing this though, I ready one of my attacks and right before they hit me I jump while saying "Ice Beam," hitting the wings on both of them and freezing them solid. They hit the ground and are knocked unconscious from their landing. "Half way there, now who's next?" I say mockingly as the two unicorns step forwards, with their horns alight. Suddenly a beam of energy shoots out of each horn right at me. I dodge both of the attacks, but the air is filled with dust because of it, making it almost impossible to see anything. They quickly use their powers to remove the dust, but while they are doing that, I use my new move. "Double team!" I shout, causing mirror images of myself to appear everywhere on the battlefield. "Let's finish this, Aqua jet!" I say as all of my copies rush the two unicorns, who are too stunned to do anything. When my attack finishes they are both unconsious and my attention returns to the leader of the group, who has silver in his hooves to where he could easily break her neck. "Let her go!" "No, I'm going to back away now, and she is coming with me. If you try anything, I will break her neck, and I can easily blame it on you." Suddenly he is hit from behind, and the afterimage he was talking to disappears.
"Silver, are you okay?" I say as I help her up again
"I'm fine, now that, these guys are done. Thanks again Jonny you're the best!"
"Anytime Silver. Just let me make sure they won't be going anywhere, and if you want I could walk you home."
"That would be great Jonny, it gets spooky trying to walk home at this time of the day."
I use ice beam to freeze the legs of all the thugs to the ground, ensuring that they won't be going anywhere for a while. Once I've finished putting them on ice, Silver and I walk back to her house. Once we get there and she knocks on the door though, I disappear. She looks around for me until the door opens, revealing her mother who is visibly upset but also happy that her daughter is home. I smile at the happy scene as I watch from the branch of a tree that was convieniantly placed in just the right spot by some unknown force. I jump off the tree and walk home, happy that I could help the only friend I have in this new world once again
The next day, I wake up happily within the confines of my little underwater home. Groggily I walk over to the entrance of my home, and jump into the water that leads to the outside world. I swim for a while to wake up and start to make plans for my day.
"Alright, I want to explore the town, but how can I do it without any of the ponies seeing me?" I say to myself as I catch and eat a fish for my breakfast. Suddenly I get a feeling that reminds me of when I used a TM on myself.
"Wait, I gain experience from catching fish? I guess it's similar to what happens when people eat magikarp in the games and the show. Well, that was convenient, what move did I get?" I say to myself while trying to figure out the move that I had apparently just learned. I try making different motions to get the move to work until I finally end up spinning around, and sitting down. When I think things can't get much more annoying, it starts to rain.
"Really, out of all the moves I could have learned, i got rain dance? How is that supposed to help me check out the town, keep ponies in doors until the sudden rain storm ends?" I say to myself sarcasticly until I realized I had just found the solution to my problem, "I can catch all the ponies in an unexpected rainstorm, get them to go inside, and then I can explore without having to worry about a pony seeing me! That's brilliant!"
I start to cautiously walk towards the town while making sur that none of the ponies that I pass by notice me. Once I get to the edge of town, I use rain dance, and just like I predicted, all the ponies go running towards their houses. Once I am sure that they are all indoors, I walk out from my current hiding spot, and start to have a look at all of the different buildings. They all look like houses from back home before I was teleported here except for a few odd ones, like a giant castle made out of crystal and what looks like a house made out of ginger bread, that has the most heavenly aroma coming from inside it. I decide to walk by the gingerbread house just to see what's going on inside, but as I do I heard the sound of voices coming from inside. I go to look in the window, and I am met with the face of a neon pink pony that has the widest smile I have ever seen. I panic, scream and start to run as fast as my legs can carry me. That was a big mistake because the door to the house bursts open, and a group of six ponies comes running out, watch one of them shouting "Hey, you stop!"
"Ah, nuts." I say to myself as the six ponies from the weird gingerbread house start to chase me. Unfortunately they are faster than I am, and are closing in raidply. What's worse is that I ran down a back alley and it turned out to be a dead end. At least I only have to worry about attacks coming from two sides, but that also gives me little to no room to dodge. Suddenly the purple unicorn/pegasus hybrid that was leading the group steps forwards and seems like she is about to say something, before a cyan blur shoots past her and right at me. I jump back and dodge as her landing kicks up dust everywhere.
"Rainbow Dash, why did you do that! I was about to try talking to it!"
"Relax twilight, it's just another creature from the Everfree. We just need to scare it until it goes back home."
"You don't know that, what if it's a creature from outside of equestria and we just chased it away! I swear Rainbow, you never think before you act.'
The two ponies shout back and forth to each other while the other four stand behind them and watch the dust cloud for signs of movement. Wheile the dust is settling, though their eyes go wide at what the see. Then the orangeish pony says to her two arguing friends
"Girls, could you stop arguing and look at the problem we have now!"
The two ponies stop their bickering and look right at where I still am, except now I have an army of after images from having used double team when I was stuck in the dust cloud. The purple pony is about to speak again before I use Aqua jet and all of my after images scatter like ash in the wind. The ponies all split up to try and catch me. The pink one and the cyan one go together while the yellow one goes with the purple one, and the white one goes with the orange one. All of them are throwing objects or hitting the after images, causing them to disappear until only I remain. Unfortunately all of them end up converging where I am due to my after images all trying to get to the same place, my pond. I know that they'll follow me there if I lead them too it, so I can't hide there yet. I need to lose them first. Suddenly, a rope is thrown at me while the orange one says
"Ye, ha! This ain't my first rodeo!" The rope manages to land around me, but before she can pull it tight, I grab my scalchop and cut the rope off at the loop. Then a strange glow envelops me, and I see a cage made out of a similar glow. Before they put me in the cage, though, I shout "water pulse", and unleash my attack on them, causing the two unicorns to drop me due to losing their concentration. They are all throughly shocked at hearing me speak. The purple one tries to speak again, but I cut her off saying
"You have disrespected me by trying to fight me, and catch me. I have made no hostile move towards you, but if you make one more towards me, then I shall fight back." The cyan one looks at me with a look of anger and charges at me again I sigh and ready my attack, while a familiar Song plays through my mind. Just before the pony hits me, I jump up and land on her back, using a close range water pulse to knock her out. When she hits the ground, the other five ponies look at me with anger, shock and sadness on each of their faces. Before they can do anything, I use rain dance to power up some of my moves, and pull out both of my scalchops. The white unicorn pulls gems out of the ground and throws them at me. I run towards her, using fury cutter to slice through each gem. When I reach her, I slice her mane off which surprisingly causes her to faint. Next up the orange pony rushes me. I can tell how strong she is, by the sound her hooves make as I dodge them. I dodge over and over until she's too tired to be able to throw a punch. Then I head butt her and she falls over, unconsious. I duck as I hear a bang, and see a cake go flying over me. When I look to see where it came from, I see the pink mare standing next to a canon, loading another cake into it. Before it can fire again, I hit it with an ice beam, which also freezes the mare. Next a bolt of magic goes right over my shoulder and hits the wall of a house next to the white unicorn. I quickly use Aqua jet to grab the mare and move her before any of the debris can hit her, confusing the purple unicorn thing. Then I use Aqua jet again to close the distance between us and hit her with a close range water pulse. The only pony left is the yellow pegasus, and I can tell she doesn't want to fight. I simply look at her, but I make the mistake of looking into her eyes. When I do I feel as if she is hypnotizing me, but I try to fight it. After a few minutes of struggling, I break free of her look. I turn around to get ready to run, but first I say to the Pegasus "I will find you when you and your friends are ready to talk." Then I use Aqua jet one last time, to escape the town and return to my home. I swim around for a little bit and catch some more fish to eat, before realising that I am faster than I was before. "I must've gotten stronger after fighting those ponies. Well, might as well get some sleep and try to talk to them tomorrow." I say to myself as I swim back into my underwater home. Once I eat the fish I caught, I lay down on the "bed" that I made, use rest and drift off to sleep.
The next day, I am jostled awake by the sound of explosions. I swim out of my hut to figure out what is going on, and am confronted with an army of bug pony looking things that are falling out of the sky, and marching towards Ponyville “They’re doing the super hero landing thing, so cool! It destroys your knees though. Joking aside, I need to get to town, and help Silver. It won’t be any fun if I lose all my friends.” I say to myself as I start running towards the nearest bug pony thing and use razor shell on it, before I continue to run towards town. I am still using razor shell and hit as many weird bug pony monster things as I can. I change tactics however and use Aqua jet and double team together to speed up my progress as I hear screams coming from my destination.
When I get there, I notice that there are more weird pony things standing at the entrance to town, which I clear out with a water pulse. I hear the shouts of ponies coming from the center of town, so I immediately bolt in the direction of the sounds. When I start to get closer, I notice that none of the creatures are in the streets or sky and there are no ponies to be found anywhere. I quickly climb to the top of a building and slowly, but steadily approach the mass of monsters that I am certain awaits me. When I get there though, I am nearly blown away at what I see.
There are hundreds of weird bug pony creatures surrounding cages filled with ponies. I look around to try and spot the leader, but stop when I see a large bug pony, that seems to have a crown, stand up and start to give a speech “Finally after all these monthes of planning, we have done it! We have conquered Ponyville and taken the element bearers down! Now, nothing can stand in the way of taking over canterlot, and the rest of equestria! Now, we, the changelings, are the supreme beings on the planet! We shall feast off of your love for generations to come, and we will be unstoppable!”
When the queen, I’m going to guess that it’s a she, of the changelings started giving her speech, I start to sneak towards her. Once I am right behind her, I stealthily climb down the side of the building and land in a back alley where I prepare to strike. Suddenly one of her guards picks up silver spoon, and holds her in front of the Queen. She then licks her lips and says “you will make a nice appetizer. Don’t be scared, it’ll only hurt for a few seconds, and then it will be all ov…”
Before she can finish the sentence, I come bursting out of the shadows with my Aqua jet/ fury cutter combo, hitting all of the changelings in my path. When I reach her, I swing my scalchop, and she dodges it, mostly. She is left with a scratch on her right fore hoof, which is now hanging limp due to the amount of damage that transferred into her body. I land in front of her and say “You will leave and never return, or else!”
“Or else what, little creature? You can’t beat an army!” She says as all of her changelings rise into the air.
“It’s going to be one of those days again isn’t it.” I say to myself before leaping into the fight
Another fun Song starts to play in my mind as I unsheathe both of my scalchops and use razor she'll before running straight towards the horde of changelings coming at me. I disable as many of them as I can, slashing and hacking wildly through the swarm until I am forced to retreat out of the swarm and try to figure out a back up plan. I look around to try and spot something I can use to my advantage, until I see it, or rather her.
There is a grey Pegasus mare with a blonde chained to the ground, straining. With all her might to break free. I can tell that she wants to protect her home, but there are far too many changelings in between me and her to reach her. Then I remember something from my science class, when something is frozen solid, it becomes much easier to break. I fire an ice beam off while "attempting" to hit the changelings who all dodge my attack, confused at how poor my aim is. Realization hits them as they hear the sound of chains snapping, and quickly turn around to see their worst nightmare. The pony that caused the most harm to their swarm during their last invasion had just been let loose, and she was none too happy about having been chained up. All the changelings immediately turn their attention to the mare, forgetting the creature that had caused the chaos in the first place.
I sit and watch as the mare dodges, counters and hits each changeling, while taking little to no damage in the process. The first one that flew up to her got bucked in the face, while the second got impaled by the first one who was thrown at breakneck speeds. The third and fourth ones flew at her at the same time, but she jumped over them, causing them to run into each other, landed, grabbed them both and smashed them together. The fifth sixth and seventh changelings all started to tag team her, landing glancing blows on her, but their progress came to an end when she grabbed one of them, slammed it into the ground and stomped its head in. One of other two rushed her while the other charged and fired a spell. The mare grabbed the second changeling and use it to block the spell. The third one tried to fly back towards its comrades, but it was stopped as the mare flew underneath it, and bucked it in the stomach, sending it flying into the air. Then the mare appeared above the changeling, hitting it straight down towards the ground. It ended up going so fast, that just before it hit the ground, it preformed a sonic rainboom, causing all of the other changlings to be temporarily stunned.
I took my chance while the mare was holding off the swarm, to free more of the ponies that were trapped in various cages, starting with a pure white Pegasus stallion, who had red eyes, small wings, and humongous biceps. Next I sliced through the bars on a cage containing a white unicorn mare with an electric blue mane, and a grey earth pony mare with a black mane. All three of the ponies thanked me and ran to go join in the fray, the Pegasus smashing all of the changelings, the unicorn using magic to throw things at them, and the earth pony using a form of martial arts to take out each changeling that got in her way. The last cage I opened contained the six ponies whom I fought the day before, each of them thanking me with a mixed look of gratitude and confusion on their faces. I started to walk towards the changeling queen not noticing a bright flash coming from behind me.
When I got to the queen I said "It's over, we've won. Now go home!"
"Never! So long as I can fight, we will never give up!" She shouts back while laughing maniacally. Suddenly she stops her laughter and looks in my direction with surprise on her face. I turn around and see the six ponies from before, but with a completely different look from before. They seem to be radiating power, and I can see that the changeling queen's expression quickly turn from shock to fear. Then the purple unicorn thing shouts
"Queen Chrysalis, your reign of terror comes to an end now!" Before all six of the ponies light up, and suddenly a dome of light Eminates from them, growing rapidly every second. I look around and see that the changelings are having the "bug on a windshield effect" and are being rapidly swept out of the city, and get sent flying to parts unknown. I look at the defeated swarm, that is rapidly vanishing from view before I hear a voice come from behind me
"You have some nerve being here creature. For your actions yesterday you are to be detained and thrown into prison until I have decided what to do with you."
I turn around to see the purple unicorn from before staring at me angrily along with her five friends, all looking like they are about to pounce. I hold up my scalchops, bracing myself for the fight that awaits me, until a voice cuts through the crowd
"Wait, you don't understand, how didn't do anything wrong!"
and all ponies present gasp and start to talk amongst themselves, trying to figure out who spoke, until a small grey earth pony filly with a silver mane runs up and puts herself in between me and the six ponies from before. The violet pony has a look that is half way between confused, and intrigued before saying
“Let me get this straight, this creature apparently saved you from not just timber wolves, but also bandits, with no previous reason to do so, and you expect us to believe you.”
“No, I expect you to act like foals like you usually do, and act on impulses, rather than thinking about it. He had nothing to gain from defeating the changelings, so why else would he have come out and help us!” Silver roars at Rainbow Dash and the rest of the element bearers, after having explained how she was saved by me on multiple occasions. The elements, especially Rainbow Dash, however were having none of it, and refused to believe a word she said, mostly.
“Girls.”
“You really think we will believe that you were attacked by not just timber wolves, but also thugs? That is hard to believe kid, nopony would even think about trying that kind of stuff with me around.”
“Girls, I think.”
“Not now Fluttershy”
“But what if…”
“Later Fluttershy, now silver spoon, I’m starting to believe that you are helping this creature, and since you most likely are, we will have to interrogate you.”
“Rainbow Dash, you will do no such thing!”
Fluttershy shouts, after having struggled to be heard
“This creature has done nothing but good ever since it arrived here. Applejack, did you think Silver Spoon was lying?
“No, she was tellin tha truth” Applejack replies
“And Twilight, did you not find thugs that had been frozen to the ground, unconscious, and when they woke up, did they not plead guilty to attempted foalnapping?”
“Yes, they did.” Twilight replied
“Finally, he did not harm a single hair on my head the first day we encountered him, because he saw that I didn’t want to fight.” Fluttershy says, ending her rant.
“Oh yeah, then why did he fight us in the first place?” Rainbow Dash interjects.
“Really, you attacked me first. When you didn’t let me leave, I figured you wouldn’t leave me alone without trying to fight and capture me. To put it mildly, you started it.” I say, with all of the element bearers turning to look at me. Rainbow Dash has an embarrassed look on her face as she remebers what happened before the fight, while all of the other bearers face hoof.
“I totally forgot about that!” Twilight says, “I am so sorry that we tried to fight you, it’s just that…”
“I completely understand” I interject, “I probably would have done the same thing if I was put in a similar situation. Now let's let bygones be bygones, and try introductions again. I’m Jonny Bench, what are your names?”
“I am twilight sparkle, the princess of friendship and magic, and these are my friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. It is our pleasure to formally welcome you to Equestria.”
“It is a pleasure to be here your highness.” I reply
“Do you know what time it is?” Pinkie Pie asks
Suddenly somepony shouts “it’s muffin time!”
I grin and shout back “Actually it’s twelve thirty!”
Pinkie Pie is on the ground laughing, understanding the joke, while everypony else just gives me a confused look. When pinkie finally calms down a bit she smiles and says “You’re both wrong, it’s party time,”pulls out a light blue cannon from her mane, and fires it.
Suddenly, everypony is inside the gingerbread looking house that I had seen before I fought the elements. I decide to just go with the flow after getting the response “don’t ask, it’s pinkie logic” when I tried to figure out how we all got to the building in the first place. After a while of partying and meeting the ponies of the town (apparently it’s called Ponyville),though I step outside to get some fresh air. When I do, Silver Spoon decides to follow me out, and bring some of her friends with her. Before she can walk up to introduce them to me though, a bright light appears in the sky, and starts to seem to be getting closer by the second. Suddenly, the strange light grows extremly bright, and whatever caused it, crash lands in the middle of the town square, causing everyone present to jump. I immediately start to run towards where the object hit, my friends following right behind me. Deciding to go against every rule I set up for myself, I say the one thing that no one ever should: “It’s not like today can get any more exciting than it already has.”
I start to rush over to the crater, passing by ponies who have wide eyes, and are slowly backing away from my destination. Silver Spoon and her four friends are hot on my tail, eager to find out what had happened. I see a thick plume of smoke and dust slowly rising out of the newly formed crater, as well as ponies starting to panic, running this way and that. As I get closer to the crater, I notice a silhouette moving around. Prepared for the worst, I ready a water pulse in my right hand, and walk into the crater. As the dust settles though, what I see surprises me.
Lying face down at the edge of the crater, is a little hopip. I reach down and pick it up just as Silver and her friends arrive, after having been slowed down by everypony’s panic.
“False alarm everypony, it's not dangerous. It's just a little hopip. Nothing to be worried about everypony.”
At this all of the ponies immediately stop running around and shouting, although there are three mares, who seem to have fainted, lying next to a flower stall. As they are dragged off to either their homes or the hospital, Silver and her friends approach me and the hopip. “Jonny, I wanted to introduce you to some of my friends. This is Diamond Tiara, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Bell, and Scootaloo.”
“It’s nice to meet you all.” I reply. Suddenly, the hopip begins to move around in my arms. I look down to see it with a look of pure terror on it’s face. I look at it and speak in a soft voice
“Don’t worry, you’re okay. Everything's going to be alright.” The starly begins to calm down a bit, and seems to be trying to go to sleep, before it passes out due to sheer exhaustion.
“Aww, it’s so cute! Can we hold it?” Silver and her friends almost shout all at once. “Shhh, it’s trying to sleep.” “Please!” “Alright, but take turns, and don’t wake it, it needs to rest and heal up.” “Yay!” “Girls, what did I just say” “We’re sorry!” “It’s okay girls, just be more careful in the future.” Diamond Tiara is the first one to hold the little hopip, before passing it to Apple Bloom, Sweetie bell, Silver Spoon, and finally Scootaloo. Once they have all had a chance to hold the little hopip, twilight and her friends have shown up and are looking around the crater, apparently trying to find whatever fell from the sky. Rainbow and Applejack are running and flying around the area looking for an escaped creature, while Twilight, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie are all trying to use their magic to figure out what happened, to no avail. While the other five are busy running this way and that, Fluttershy notices the girls and I taking turns holding a strange creature that she hasn’t seen before. “Hey everyone, what do you have there?” She asks “Fluttershy! Just the mare I was hoping to talk too!” I say to her in reply. “You wanted to see me?” “Yes i did. You see, another pokemon has just fallen from the sky , and I was hoping it could live with you until it recovers.” “You want me to take care of a creature that I know nothing about? I don’t know… what if i mess up?” “I know you’ll do just fine, now are you up for it?” “Is fluttershy up for what?” Rainbow buts in after overhearing our conversation. “I was just asking her if she could take care of the new pokemon that just fell out of the sky.” “Wait, another one? I thought you were the only Pokeman?” “Actually, there are almost 900 different species of pokemon. It’s just that i was the only one in Equestria until now. There may be more that appear in the future though. If any more of them do appear, i’m sure you can show them how awesome you are, but for right now let’s try and get this little guy some help. I can go with you to help settle it in and tell you a bit about it if you want.” I say to both Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy nods in agreement, while Rainbow stares at me with an annoyed look on her face. I give her a smirk of amusement, before starting to walk down the long dirt road to Fluttershy’s home.
While we’re walking, Twilight spots us and walks over to Rainbow to find out what happened. “Hey Rainbow, what’s going on?” “Not much, Jonny decided to go help Flutters settle a new pokemon into her home. How are you doing Twi?” Rainbow Dash Replies, noticing the purple alicorn developing a twitch under her right eye, while also having a blank stare until somepony catches her eye. “And where do you five think you’re going?” She says towards a bush she had seen moving along the edge of the road, the sounds of voices that are barely audible are being emitted from it. Then the heads of five young fillies pop up from the bush, each one with a sheepish grin on their face until Silver Spoon speaks up “We Just wanted to go talk to Jonny, Twilight honest! We just didn’t get much of a chance to when that other Pokemon crashed in the town square.” “Alright girls, I believe you. However, you could have just told us where you were going, you didn’t need to sneak off like that.” The five fillies look at her in surprise before nodding their heads in understanding and walking off in the direction of Fluttershy’s house, hoping they could finally get a chance to hang out with their newest friend.
