Princess Flurry Heart lives a happy life in the Crystal Empire. She has a great family, a good friend, and loving subjects. But she soon learns of the events that happened during her Crystaling . One night, after causing an accident, Flurry Heart runs away to avoid putting anyone she loves in danger. On her journey, she'll learn that she's very special in anyway imaginable.
Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, The great Crystal Empire shined in great splender after returning from being gone for 1,000 years. Prince Shining Armor and Princess Cadence ruled it with great love.
One fateful day, the two rulers were blessed with a beautiful baby filly. What shocked them was that this newborn filly was an alicorn , the first one born in generations. Before the foal's crystalling, she let out a huge wail that caused the crystal heart to shatter. Without the heart, the empire would become a frozen wasteland.
Luckly, thanks to a smart unicorn named Sunburst, the crystal heart was restored, and the empire was safe once again. Inspired by the events of that day, Shining Armor and Cadence named their daughter, Flurry Heart. Since then, Flurry Heart filled her parents' lives with joy. However, there were some of the crystal ponies who feared and blamed the new born princess for nearly destroying the empire.
Fearing what those ponies would do, Shining Armor and Cadence decided to keep the disaster that almost destroyed the empire a secret from their daughter. But of course, how can something so eventful be secret forever?
The sun shone on the Crystal Empire giving off it's shining beauty. The rays of the sun shined into a big room bathing the back of the heir to the crystal throne, Princess Flurry Heart. The young princess awoke to the sun's morning light, and yawned with a smile.
She looked at her calendar.
"Only a month before the Crystal Fair!" Flurry said flapping her wings with excitement. "I just can't wait! Well, time to start the day".
The young Princess got up, walked over to her dresser and grabbed her mane brush. She stood in front of a mirror and brushed her mane making it look neat. She then grabbed a royal necklace given to her by her parents as a symbol of her inheritance. She opened the door and walked off happily. As Flurry walked down the palace, she could hear ponies talking. While she walked by, the ponies looked weary of her. Flurry wondered why they were looking at her like that.
"I hope she doesn't cause another problem again like when she was born", One pony whispered.
"I hope not too" whispered Another.
Flurry having heard their whispering raised an eyebrow in confusion, but she kept walking on. Just then, Flurry's mother, Princess Cadence, walked came walking down the hall. Flurry trotted up to her.
"Mom?", she asked, "Why are the ponies looking at me and talking about me funny?"
"What do you mean sweetie?", asked Cadence.
"Some were saying they hope I don't cause another problem like I did when I was born", Flurry answered. "I don't get it".
Cadence recoiled a little but then recomposed. "Oh it's nothing dear nothing really...Um....Can you find your father for me? He is in the Library, I'll be right here".
"Uh, ok". Flurry headed off to the Library to find her father, Shining Armor.
She entered the Library and found Shining at a desk reading a book.
"Dad?"
"Flurry", Shining stood up and walked over to her daughter and patted her head. "How is my little filly?"
"Just fine", Flurry said giggling and blushing.
"What brings you here?"
"Mom sent me to find you".
"Okay honey, take me to her".
Flurry lead her father to her waiting mother. "Cadence", Shining greeted.
"Shining?", Cadence asked, "Can I talk with you in private?"
"Of course", Shining answered gladly. "Be right back Flurry". Shining walked with Cadence into a different room. "What's up, dear?"
Cadence spoke with worry. "Shining, Flurry may have overheard ponies talking about the incident at her crystalling".
Shining's eyes widened is shock. "What should we do?".
Cadence sighed. "Part of me wants to tell her, and another one doesn't. But if this stays hidden, she'll get the worst of it".
"I know", Shining said hanging his head. "When should we let her know?", Cadence wondered.
"I honestly have no answer", Shining said feeling at a lost.
"How about after the Crystal Fair?"
Shining nodded. "Perfect idea". The two nuzzled each other happy with the decision.
*Later that day.......*
Flurry was seeking her parents, she wanted answers. NOW. During her search, her Crystaller, Sunburst came up.
"Whatcha doing, Flurry?", Sunburst asked.
"Sunburst? Where's my mom & dad? I wanna know why ponies look at me funny and WHAT happened when I was a newborn?"
Sunburst winced and sweated, he could see that Flurry was in a no Nonsense mood. "In the garden?"
"Thank you". Flurry teleported away.
"This will not be good", Sunburst said fearfully.
In the garden, Shining and Cadence were relaxing, enjoying the scenery. Suddenly, Flurry appeared in a loud pop.
"Sweetie?", said Shining.
"Flurry you okay?", asked Cadence.
Flurry walked up in a demanding way. "Mom, Dad, I want to know, why is everypony looking at me funny? And what happened when I was born?!"
Shining sighed feeling that the cat was out of the bag.
"Flurry..." Cadence said softly, "Sit down with us please...".
Flurry did so, and listened to what her parents began to say.
"When you were born, something happened some days later", Cadence told her daughter. "You see, we were prepping for a special celebration to welcome you to the Empire you will rule over after us".
"During all this your Aunt Pinkie and Twilight were bringing you over to take part in the thing you were for", Shining added.
Cadence continued, "I took you from Pinkie and you got upset, so mad you yelled while crying, your cry was so powerful...It broke the Crystal Heart, that caused the magic of the Heart to stop working and almost had the frozen north freeze the Empire solid".
Flurry gasped in horror.
"That is the whole of it....", said Shining.
Flurry began stepping back traumatized.
"Flurry?", Cadence said with concern, "...Please...Stay here...Don't run off".
Flurry began running off in fear.
Cadence teleported in front of her daughter and grabbed her. "Flurry! Stop!"
"Let me go!!!!!", Flurry yelled struggling in her mother's hold.
"No Flurry!", Cadence said trying to be firm in her hold, "No running...Please... I beg you..Sweetie, listen to me".
"I said Let. GO!!!!!!!!"
Without thinking, Flurry let out a huge blast from her horn burning her mother's right fore hoof. Cadence cried out in pain.
Flurry was horrified at what she had done. "I'm sorry........" She teleported away.
Flurry ran into her room and locked the door. She then laid on the floor and wept.
Just then, a knock was heard at the door being her mother.
"Flurry Heart Sparkle, you open the door this minute young filly!", Cadence spoke in a demanding voice.
"No!!!!, Flurry yelled back, I don't want to hurt you again!!!!
"Flurry, I know you meant no harm, you will only hurt me by not talking". Cadence teleported into the room. "I am your mother, I love you".
Flurry sniffed, ran up and embraced her mother.
"Sssh", Cadence soothed hugging her daughter tightly, "I'm here Flurry, I'm here".
"What am I going to do?", Flurry asked.
"Nothing...", Cadence answered, "You do absolutely nothing, because your father and I are here for you and if anypony gives you trouble, they will answer to us".
Flurry smiled while wiping away a tear. "Thanks, Mommy".
"Of course sweetie". Cadence nuzzled Flurry's cheek then kissed her forehead.
*Later at Dinner........*
"So Flurry?", Shining asked, "You feeling okay?"
"A little", Flurry said.
Shining smiled warmly, "I was worried that you would run off...You scared us."
"I know", said Flurry, "I'm sorry".
Shining sighed, "At least you talked with your mother and that you calmed down and listened to her, I am glad you know we love you and would keep you safe".
"Mmhmm", Flurry said nodding.
"Just keep that in mind when you are in school okay?", said Shining, "I know you were scared by what you found out, but that is a while ago, not yesterday".
"Ok Daddy, I will". Shining smiled, "That's my filly".
Cadence nuzzled her daughter happily.
*The next day at School.........*
Class had begun and Flurry was listening to the lesson while writing down notes. Suddenly, a colt student started whispering.
"Hey, my mom told me Flurry nearly froze us when she was a foal".
"You serious?!", a filly student whispered back.
"No joke", another colt whispered, "She broke the Crystal Heart...".
"How do we know if she won't do this again?", whispered another filly.
Flurry tried her best to ignore their words.
Another filly cut into the whispering, "Hey leave her alone you guys she is not evil, plus she is our princess so knock it off".
"Or what?", the second colt whispered, "What will she do?"
"It's what her mom and dad will do, our teacher, our parents...", the filly whispered back.
Knowing the wrath of angry parents & teachers, the other foals shut their mouths.
The day went on and it was lunch time. Flurry was eating a daisy and daffodil sandwich.
Just then, the filly who defended her came up. Her name was Emerald Sheen.
She had a lovely green coat with a silver mane and tail. Flurry and Emerald had been best friends ever since they both started school.
"Hey Flurry", Emerald said in a friendly manner.
"Oh, hey Emerald", Flurry said smiling.
"Hey, I'm sorry about what went on in class....", said Emerald frowning a little. "It's alright", said Flurry, "It was bound to come up anyway".
"I'm here for you", Emerald assured, "You're my friend". Flurry smiled. "Thanks Emerald".
The two enjoyed each other's company the rest of that Lunch hour.
In the last class of the day, Flurry was reading a book while also making sure nopony was commenting on her.
Suddenly, a spitball struck her head. She turned to see who did it, but nopony looked guilty, so she turned back to her back.
Then another spitball struck. Flurry turned to see a colt with a straw.
"Mind explaining why you did that?", Flurry demanded.
"For fun", the colt snickered.
"Well stop it!!!", Flurry yelled now angry.
"Princess Flurry?", The teacher was next to Flurry.
"Teacher", Flurry said in frustration, "That colt blew a spitball at me!"
"Is that so?", the teacher wondered.
"What?", said the colt in shock.
The teacher turned to the colt sternly, "Now you apologize to the princess right now".
The colt grumbled, "Sorry". "Thank you", Flurry said feeling better.
Soon, the school day was over, and Flurry was walking out of the school house.
"Hey Flurry", called Emerald as she ran up to Flurry.
"Emerald!", replied Flurry.
"Can I come over today?, Emerald asked, "I asked my parents if I could and they said yes".
"Sure", answered Flurry, "You can come over".
Emerald smiled and followed Flurry to the palace where Cadence was waiting.
"Hey sweetie; Emerald", Cadence greeted.
"Emerald's parents said she could spend time with us", said Flurry.
"Oh I see", said Cadence, "Did all your work?"
"Yep", answered Flurry, "No homework for us".
Cadence smiled brightly. "Great, you can spend time with us, Emerald".
With that, they entered the palace to spend time together.
*Later that evening.......*
"So what do you two want for dinner tonight?", asked Shining.
"Hmm...", Emerald thought, "What are you having Flurry?".
"I go with anything they serve", answered Flurry.
"I can be surprised", said Emerald.
"Sure thing", Shining said, "Dinner is in 5 minutes".
Flurry and Emerald smiled.
*5 minutes til Bedtime*
"Thanks for letting me stay the night Flurry", said Emerald happily.
"Of course, replied Flurry, "Anything for a friend".
"Yeah", said Emerald, "A good friend".
They soon fell asleep.
*The next morning at breakfast.......*
"Good morning girls", said Cadence, "Did you sleep well?"
"Sure", groaned Flurry who had bags under her eyes.
"Flurry?", Shining asked, "You okay?"
"I don't know why", wondered Emerald, "But she looks tired".
"I just had a bad dream, that's all", answered Flurry.
"Aw", said Cadence, "You wanna tell me?"
"No, no", Flurry said trying to be cheery, "It's nothing to worry too much about".
"Flurry?", said Shining.
"Don't lie to us", Cadence warned, "Or Luna will find out and tell us".
Flurry sighed. "Alright. Remember how you both told me about what happened when I was a baby?"
"Yes?", said Cadence.
"Well", continued Flurry, "In my dream, the ponies were formed in an angry mob demanding for me to be given to them to be destroyed. I was backed into a corner, while the ponies started throwing stones at me. Then suddenly, one pony plunged a dagger into me, and that's when I woke up".
Emerald gasped.
"Oh sweetie", said Shining as he hugged Flurry.
"Oh Flurry honey...", said Cadence as she nuzzled her.
Flurry sniffed. "I don't know why I had that dream, or what it means".
"I hope nothing", said Emerald.
"It's just a dream...", assured Cadence, "I wouldn't worry about that".
"How can you be sure?", asked Flurry.
"Because we would never let that happen to you", said Shining.
"No pony will ever hurt you", assured Cadence.
"We will keep you safe", promised Emerald. Flurry hugged her parents.
"Let's eat up and get you two to school", suggested Cadence. So they did.
Later that day, a royal get together was being arranged for that evening. Though, Flurry was feeling nervous about it.
"Hey Flurry", asked Shining, "You okay?"
"I'm just nervous about this get together", said Flurry.
"I know sweetie", said Shining, "But your Mother & I are here and Aunt Twilight will be there too".
Flurry took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Good", said Shining.
Cadence appeared all dressed up. "Everypony good?"
"Yep", answered Flurry.
"Let's go", said Shining. They headed to the room where all royals were.
"Oh yeah", Flurry thought to herself, "They're right. I can do this".
Others watched her appear, including Celestia and Luna.
"Hello Flurry!", greeted Celestia as she bent down to nuzzle Flurry.
"Hello Auntie Tia", Flurry said nuzzling her great aunt back.
"You look lovely Flurry", Celestia complimented, "Did your mother help you?"
Flurry blushed, "Yes"
"Wonderful", said Celestia, "Now there are foals your age over there, recognize any?"
Flurry looked to the foals. Some nobles attended, one being Emerald and her mother.
"I do know Emerald and her mom", said Flurry.
"Oh how nice", Celestia said with a smile, "Go see her then".
Flurry walked over to Emerald and her mother.
"Flurry!", Emerald squealed with joy.
"Hey Emerald", greeted Flurry.
"Pretty cool to see you again", said Emerald with a smile.
"You too", Flurry replied.
"What do you want to do for fun?", asked Emerald.
"Not sure", said Flurry.
"You can show me around", Emerald suggested.
So, that's what Flurry did.
"Wow" said Emerald looking at everything.
"Nice isn't it?", asked Flurry.
"Yeah", said Emerald. "How do you find your way around this place?"
"I use my own personal map", answered Flurry.
"That's helpful", replied Emerald.
"Mmhmm", said Flurry.
They soon returned to the festivities.
Just then, a colt came up and asked Flurry for a dance.
"Sure. Ok".
As music played, the 2 foals danced away. It seemed to be going well. But then, as Flurry was blushing, her horn suddenly glowed strangely.
"Aw", Cadence said, "Flurry is dancing". She smiled then saw Flurry's horn glow. "What?...."
Shining saw it too. "What is going?"
The colt noticed the glow. "What is happening with your horn?", he asked.
"Huh?", said Flurry. She looked to her horn. "Oh no"
Blushing fearsly, Flurry accidentally fired a magic beam. Everypony gasped.
"What was that?!", said one colt in the crowd.
"Uh-oh", said Emerald.
The beam hit the crystal chandelier making it plummet to the floor as Flurry and a bunch of others jumped clear.
"Flurry!" Shining Armor and Cadence ran up to their daughter who was in tears and hugged her mother. Emerald ran up to see her friend.
"That filly is out of control!", spoke a mare in the crowd.
"She's dangerous!", yelled a stallion.
Celestia stood in defense. "Now see here!"
"How can you defend her?", questioned the stallion.
"Regardless if she is a relative, she's a threat", accused the mare.
Cadence nuzzled and held Flurry.
Luna who was fed up at this point, let out the Royal Canterlot Voice.
"SILENCE! YOU ALL SPEAK FALSEHOOD OF OUR FAMILY MEMBER!"
The ponies cowered in fear.
"You shall not harm nor persecute my niece's foal", Luna warned in a normal yet firm tone.
*Later.....*
Flurry wept on her bed as Cadence stroked her back.
"I'm so sorry that happened sweetie", Cadence said softly.
"What's wrong with me?", Flurry wondered in a sad tone.
"You're just strong Flurry", Cadence said in a comforting voice, "Gifted with powerful magic, you just need to be taught how to control it, that's all honey. You have me, Sunburst, and your Aunt Twilight to help you".
"I know", said Flurry wiping away a tear.
"How about I bring your friend in here for you?", suggested Cadence.
Flurry nodded.
Cadence came back a few moments later with Emerald.
"I'll be at the party if you need me", Cadence said. "Thanks Mom", Flurry said with a smile.
When Cadence left, Emerald turned to Flurry with sadness. "I'm sorry about what happened Flurry".
"Something bad was bound to happen anyway Emerald", Flurry sighed.
"That's not true Flurry", replied Emerald, "That was just an accident".
"Even if it was", said Flurry sounding like she was losing hope, "I still have no control. I do have Sunburst to help, but he's getting a lot of other things to do. I never see him that much anymore. Mom helps most times, but then there are things that she and Dad need to do, being rulers and all. Plus, I don't want to bother my Aunt Twilight if she suddenly goes to fix a friendship problem.
"How do you know that she could be doing that?", questioned Emerald, "She could be doing nothing".
"Yeah", Flurry said sarcastically, "Until her cutie mark suddenly flashes because of that stupid map".
"When was the last time that happened though?" Emerald asked.
Flurry was losing her patience. "You don't understand!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Emerald recoiled.
"When I was born, I nearly destroyed the empire. If I was to do it again, who then would be there for me when my family is not?!"
"You don't know that!"
"How would you know that?!"
"Your Mom and Dad love you..."
"What would happen if they are not around?!"
"You have me!"
"I can't let you get in the way if something happens!"
"Well tough cookies cause I am there with you."
"NO!!!!!!" Stomping her hoof, Flurry let out crystal shards.
"Flurry!", Emerald exclaimed, "What's with you?! I'm your friend!"
Flurry calmed down a bit. "I just don't want anypony to get hurt while protecting me". Flurry then made a decision. "I can't live here anymore".
"What?", Emerald said in shock.
"You heard me", said Flurry. "How can I be a princess when my magic is to powerful for me to control?" Flurry took off her necklace for it also acted as a tracking device for her parents.
"You can't runaway Flurry....", said Emerald in a pleading tone, "You can't..."
"What choice do I have?", said Flurry putting the necklace on her dresser and pulling out her backpack.
"This will hurt your parents", said Emerald, "Even me".
"Sorry Emerald", Flurry said, "But this is the only way to prevent other ponies from getting hurt by me".
"Flurry....Please...Think about this...They WILL look for you when you leave...".
"I'm very sneaky, I've been able to hide from ponies for a long time".
"They will worry about you, be sad....".
"Maybe, but I don't want them to risk getting killed because of me". Flurry pulled out a paper and a quill and started writing a note:
Dear Mom & Dad, I've come to realise that being a princess is not meant for me. Because of my powers, I just might end up hurting ponies. Don't bother looking for me, this is for the best. Thank you for all the love you've given me, I will always remember it. Farewell. Your daughter and ex-princess, Flurry Heart.
"I can't let you do this Flurry....".
"Well, tough cookies".
Emerald sighed.
"It will be alright", Flurry assured, "Trust me".
Emerald looked unsure.
"I'll always write to you", Flurry promised.
"You are making a mistake.....".
"It's worth keeping others ponies from getting hurt".
Emerald sighed in defeat.
Flurry filled her pack, strapped it on her and put on a cloak with a hood. She hugged Emerald goodbye promising to return one day. She then snuck out the window. Emerald watched with a heavy heart as her friend disappeared into the night.
"I'll always remember you", she said shedding a tear. She then left the room.
Flurry reached the outside of the empire. She looked back at the home she knew for so long.
"Goodbye Mom and Dad. I'll always remember your love for me."
Flurry spread her wings, took off into the sky and flew away from the empire. Unknown to Flurry, the great goddess, Amalthea was watching.
"Now begins your journey of self-discovery, Flurry Heart", she said.
"I knew Flurry would run off....", said Emerald. "But she....." She began to cry. "I'm so sorry!!"
Shining comforted the filly. "Calm down Emerald, tell us what happened".
Emerald explained everything from the past night. Shining and Cadence were astonished. Emerald sniffled and weped as Shining nuzzled her.
Cadence sighed. "Where could she have gone?"
Meanwhile, Flurry was wondering through the frozen north feeling terrified.
She suddenly heard a voice. "Flurry Heart".
Flurry was startled. "Who's there?"
The voice spoke again. "It is I...Amalthea".
"What do you want with me?", Flurry asked.
"To let you know I am watching over you", Amalthea said. "But I also speak to convince you turn back, hear the cries of your mother....".
Flurry heard Cadence's voice and her cries for her in her head.
"No", Flurry cried shaking her head. "I won't take the chance!!!!!!!"
Flurry spread her wings and flew off at top speed.
"You are being foolish little filly", said Amalthea.
"Go away!!!!!!!" yelled Flurry.
"I shall protect you on your journey little one, but not from everything.....", Amalthea warned.
Flurry flew until she was pooped out. She landed in a forest like area and rested under a tree. Just then, a sound came from the bushes.
Flurry flinched. "Who's there?"
Out of the bushes came a little grey rabbit. It hopped a little closer to Flurry.
"Hello little guy, what are you doing out here?"
A howell sounded in the distance and then, timberwolves emerged. Frightened, Flurry picked up the rabbit and flew off as the timberwolves chased her. Flurry kept going until she came across a hut in a tree. She flew over and knocked frantically. The door opened to reveal Zecora.
"What is your hurry?", asked Zecora, "What brings you here Princess Flurry?"
"I'm being chased by timberwolves!".
"Stay in here if you choose, what do you have to lose?".
"Thanks".
Flurry flew in.
"What brings you to my hut?", asked Zecora, "Is something of your life in a rut?"
"Sadly Yes", answered Flurry.
"Then tell me what has you down", Zecora said calmly, "What is it that makes you frown?"
"Some of the crystal ponies think that I'm a threat", told Flurry.
"Hmm; I feel that you going on the run, is a plan that is not a smart one".
"I don't care what you or anypony might think. This is the only way so I can't hurt anypony".
"Amalthea doesn't think so, trust me I know".
"Amalthea's trying to torture me with her words!"
"You think this but it's not true; she is trying to guide you".
"On what?", questioned Flurry, "A path of destruction?"
"Amalthea is wise", said Zecora, "She sees through all of one's disguise, she is helping you grow, but away from home is not where you should go".
Flurry groaned. "Some help you are".
She walked out leaving the rabbit to be with the zebra.
"Please Flurry", pleaded Zecora, "Don't go off in a hurry; stay here with me, so that I may return you to your loving family, but if away you go, I will be also in tow".
"Sorry Zecora, but my decision is final".
Flurry flew off as Zecora followed.
"At least travel in daylight", Zecora suggested, "Then to Ponyville to see you Aunt Twilight".
"I can't go to her"
"Avoiding them won't last long", Zecora said in a solemn voice, "Soon your mother will send an army many dozen strong".
Flurry was unconvinced. "I'm good at hiding. Besides, that necklace I always wore was also some tracking item. They won't find me when I'm not wearing it for I left it at home".
"Do you not know; how far a mother will go?", asked Zecora, "She will not care whatever the fare; if she wants you, she will find you".
"It's best that she forgets about me", said Flurry.
"That is not so", Zecora exclaimed, "Never is that where a mother's mind will not go...".
Catching Zecora off guard, Flurry banged the zebra on the head with a small log knocking her unconscious. She then flew off in a different direction.
Meanwhile in Ponyville, Twilight was pacing back and forth in worry.
"Why would Flurry run off?",Twilight wondered, "I know she got embarrassed but that's no cause to run off like this!"
"I know darling", said Rarity, "But worrying does nothing to help little Flurry".
Spike let out a huff. "This is all Amalthea's fault".
"Spike!", Twilight cried in shock.
"I'm serious!", Spike continued, "Amalthea made Flurry born an alicorn, so it's her who's to blame!"
"Spike you know better than that...", scolded Rarity, "Amalthea is not to blame, she was born for a reason, she just needs to figure out why".
"But most of the crystal ponies have blamed Flurry for nearly causing the empire to be lost!", Spike yelled.
"Yet we fixed the problem" said Twilight, "The point is my niece needs to be found".
"When we do" said Spike, "I'll make those crystal ponies who mocked her wish they were never born".
"Now Spikey; Rarity said assuringly, "That's what mum's do".
Spike crossed his arms while grumbling.
"Where do we start looking first?", asked Applejack.
"How about we ask Zecora?", suggested Starlight Glimmer.
"We should start there maybe...", Twilight said thoughtfully, "But it's a long shot".
"Let's go then", said Starlight.
The 8 friends all headed off to Zecora's hut. As they walked to Zecora's hut, they noticed a figure laying on the ground.
"What is....", Twilight gasped, "Zecora!" She ran up to her along with the others.
Twilight examined the zebra. "Zecora..."
"Is she alright?", asked Spike.
"I'm gonna revive her". Twilight used her magic to heal the zebra's injuries. Zecora then came to.
"My vision is blurry.....Wh-Where is Flurry?"
"You saw her?", asked Twilight.
Zecora nodded.
"Where is she?", asked Starlight.
"Calm down Starlight...", Twilight told her student. "She just woke up".
Zecora groaned. "That filly is not right in the head, what she does next, wherever she goes...I dread".
"What does she mean, 'Not in the right head'?", wondered Spike.
"Flurry is not thinking straight", answered Zecora "We must find her right away!
Elsewhere, Flurry was running through the forest, and timberwolves were on her tail again. They snarled & barked, even sniped at Flurry's tail.
Flurry soon reached a dead end. Just when the wolves were about to attack....... *ZAP* Two magic beams blasted them to bits. Flurry looked and saw two mysterious hooded ponies. The ponies removed the hoods revealing themselves to be.......... Sombra and Radiant Hope.
"Back off you piles of twigs!", shouted Sombra.
The timberwolves ran away in fright.
Sombra turned to the young filly. "Are you alright Flurry?"
"Yes", Flurry answered.
"Good", Sombra said with a smile, "Cadence will be happy to know we found you".
"She's so worried about you", Radiant said with a frown, "Your father is also worried".
Flurry groaned. "Oh no, not you too!!!!!!"
"PLEASE; see reason Flurry...", begged Radiant, "Do you have any idea how hurt your parents are?"
"How can I be a princess when I nearly destroyed the empire?!", cried Flurry.
"By trusting your teachers and those around you that love and help you....", replied Sombra, "Does your parents love mean nothing? Or your family? Any friends?"
Flurry glared at Sombra. "Did that mean anything to you before you shattered Princess Amore?"
"Sombra was under dark magic by birth", replied Radiant, "YOU were born under NO such magic young filly!"
"I learned and was helped", Sombra said, "You can have the same help".
Flurry turned away from them. "Thank you, but no thank you".
"I'm sorry Flurry..." said Radiant, "You have no say....".
Radiant used her magic to knock Flurry unconscious. Before Sombra and Radiant could pick Flurry up, her body mysteriously vanished.
"What?!", Radiant cried.
When Flurry woke up, she found herself in some kind of fun looking garden. "Where am I?", wondered Flurry, "How did I get here?""
"Feel safe now?"
Flurry turned and saw a friendly looking Draconequus with a white head.
"Are you alright Princess?"
"Yes", Flurry said. "What happened?"
"You were knocked out", answered the Draconequus.
Flurry groaned, "Stupid Sombra and Radiant".
"I know Flurry".
The draconequus then told Flurry that he brought her to this place because he had overheard her talk with Sombra and Radiant about how she wanted to keep away from everypony so they wouldn't get hurt.
"Fear not Flurry; I heard your plans and I'm here to help you".
"Really?", Flurry asked in amazement. "How can you do it?"
"You can stay here Princess; The draconequus answered, "Here, you can never harm anypony you love ever again".
Flurry hugged him. "Thank you. What's your name by the way?"
"My name is Tranquil", said the draconequus.
"Well Tranquil", said Flurry, "I think you and I will be the best of friends".
"Of course", replied Tranquil. The two hugged.
*Back in the Crystal Empire......*
Cadence was a mess from worrying about her daughter, Sombra, and Radiant were looking very down.
"I'm sorry, said Radiant, "But we tried to get her".
"It's not your fault", Shining assured, "Flurry is just very powerful".
"That's just it", said Sombra, "She did not teleport away...She just....vanished".
"Only question is, How?", wondered Sunburst.
"We don't know....", replied Radiant.
"Hopefully Cadence punishes those who called Flurry a threat", said Spike.
"She might", thought Twilight, "Or just a stern talk".
"A stern talk isn't enough Twi!", said Spike, "They deserve more than just a slap on the wrist!"
"They didn't cause real harm Spike", said Twilight, "It's not serious enough as Flurry running off is".
"What about when Shining banned you from his wedding?" Spike asked with a glare.
"That was different Spike and you know it", told Twilight.
"Typical", Spike said coldly, "Your just like Celestia and Luna, too soft spirited to give the right punishments".
Twilight gasped at those words. "Spike!"
"How could you talk like that?!", cried Rarity.
"It's true!", Spike shouted, "Since the beginning, Celestia and Luna never dealt with their enemies the right way. They never executed them or had them beaten, like Tirek!"
"They know what's best!", retorted Twilight.
"We are to be better than that Spike....", said Rarity, "What's wrong with you Spikey?...."
"What's wrong with me?', Spike asked in disbelief, "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!?!?!"
"Spike! calm down!!", The purple alicorn pleaded.
"NO!" Spike's outburst made Twilight shut her mouth.
Rarity looked sad and hurt. "Spike...."
"Let me tell you what's wrong", Spike said now filled with rage, "All of Equestria is messed up!!!!!!!!! Everypony knew exactly how to deal with their enemies and serious situations back then, but now Equestria has suddenly fallen soft and blinded to the threats and dangers we face today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Think about what you're saying Spike!", pleaded Twilight.
"Honestly Spike, why such talk over a runaway filly?", questioned Rarity, "We'll find her alright??"
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Spike shouted.
Twilight zapped Spike to knock him out, but it didn't work. Spike growled and slashed Twilight across the face. Twilight shrieked and held her face to stop the flow of blood.
The girls were horrified.
"Spike!", cried Rarity in horror, "You hurt Twilight!"
Rainbow Dash held Spike down. "NOT cool Spike".
"All this fightin's doin' NOTHIN' to help Flurry!", said AJ with authority in her voice.
Spike bit Rainbow's foreleg.
"OW!", Dash cried in pain, "Spike?! What the heck?!"
Applejack held Spike down and actually clocked him out cold with her hoof.
Starlight grabbed Applejack by the neck with her magic. "How dare you hurt him!!!!!"
"NOT you too!", cried Rarity.
"Starlight, he attacked Twilight and BIT me!", yelled Dash.
"Let her go Starlight" ordered Twilight, "He is out cold not hurt".
Starlight growled at her mentor.
"Starlight please....", begged Twilight, "Let AJ go....."
"Please...", the pink party mare begged while sniffing, "Friends don't fight....Not when there's a young filly out somewhere missing!"
"You're no friends of mine....... Starlight said coldly, "Not anymore".
"Starlight!" Twilight wore a sad expression as blood from where Spike attacked her dripped from her face.
"Why are we fighting Starlight?...", asked Rarity, "This is not helping us find Flurry".
"I'm not helping anymore", said Starlight grimmley, "Neither is Spike".
"Please...", Twilight begged while shedding tears.
"You don't abandon friends.....", weeped Pinkie.
"You're all too ignorant to be my friends", Starlight said grimmly. She turned to Twilight. "You can find yourself a different Guidance Counselor, because I quit".
"Starlight!", cried Twilight, "This is not ignorance..."
"What isn't?", asked Starlight, "That you devote everything you do to a goddess that doesn't even show her face?!"
"It is in her time and her way she acts," Twilight said with urgency. "She shows herself to those she deems time to be heard or seen by; I have heard her talk to me".
"Really?", Starlight questioned. "When?"
"Not too long after Flurry ran off", answered Twilight, "She told me she has an eye on her".
"Then give up the search!", retorted Starlight.
"She did not say quit on her Starlight...", said Twilight, "You NEVER quit on somepony, especially family....".
"I'm not her family", said Starlight.
"You're the Guidance Counselor for my friendship school, and when I was a student to Celestia, she was a mother to me. You are like a sister".
Starlight lowered her head. "............Sorry Twilight, but your on your own now". With that, Starlight walked out of the room.
Twilight sadly frowned. "We are here when you want to come back Starlight...All 6 of us...".
Starlight went to the train station and walked up to the ticket booth.
"Where to miss?", ask the ticket pony.
"Sire's Hollow", Starlight said laying out some bits.
"Very well".
The pony gave Starlight her ticket. Starlight then climbed onto the train.
As she sat on one of the chairs, Starlight's consciences spoke questions: "Is this the right decision? Just leaving after a fight? Is fighting going to help Flurry? Or be a good friend?"
Starlight just brushed it all off, knowing that she made her decision.
Suddenly, a voice spoke.
"Starlight".
Starlight was startled. "Who's that?!"
"Fear not" , said the voice. "It is I, Amalthea".
"Amalthea?", Starlight wondered. She then frowned. "What do you want?"
"I heard your frustration and that of Spike", said Amalthea. "But anger will not help Flurry".
Starlight pouted. "What would you know about it?"
"I know she is in the care of a draconequus named Tranquil", Amalthea said warmly.
"She is?!", Starlight exclaimed in surprise. "Where can I find her?"
"She is unreachable where she is, this is a lesson for her, she will come back on her own when she learns her lesson".
Starlight looked down in sadness.
"Patience Starlight...", told Amalthea.
"Alright", said Starlight. "I will be".
"You still heading home or do you wish to reconsider?", Amalthea asked.
"I'm still going home", answered Starlight.
"Very well Starlight".
The train began to move, heading for Sire's Hollow.
*Back at Twilight's castle......*
Twilight was sitting at the table feeling depressed. Not only was her niece missing, but now she also lost her friend and Guidance Counselor of the School of Friendship. Plus, Spike had locked himself in his room, refusing to come out.
"It will be fine darling", Rarity tried to reassure.
"What about Spike", asked Applejack.
Twilight sniffled and weeped, then rubbed her face where she was hurt. Fluttershy tried her best to comfort the purple alicorn.
"This is all messed up 6 different ways", said Rainbow.
"How so?", asked Applejack.
"Besides Flurry missing", said Dash. "We fought each other and Spike attacked Twilight, TWILIGHT for Amalthea's sake".
"Not to mention Starlight choking AJ and throwing her across the floor!", said Pinkie.
"Yeah", replied Dash. "That was bad".
"Now what do we do?", asked Pinkie.
"We don't give up", answered Twilight. "No doubt Shining and Cadence have not".
"Right", Applejack spoke with determination. "We'll find Flurry if it's the last thing we ever do!"
"Yeah!!!!!!!!"
While Spike was in grudge mode and Starlight had left, The girls knew they would find Flurry one way or another.
Flurry was happy. She found living in a fun and wonderful place with Tranquil to be very peaceful and pleasing.
After a while, tranquil had a question. "Flurry may I ask you something?"
"Sure Tranquil, what is it?"
"Do you miss your parents?"
Flurry sighed. "Yeah. Sort of ".
"How long will you make them worry? How much you want your mother to cry herself to sleep about you?....."
"I'm sure her heart will mend in time".
Flurry heard her mother's voice, she was not happy, she was clearly sounding hurt and wailing in sadness. "Eventually".
"I think she will never heal Flurry...", Tranquil said in a sad tone.
"I just don't want them do get hurt or killed because of me".
"What makes you think that?...."
"Mothers eventually move on from their child's disappearance". Flurry then heard the voices of her parents in her head.
"My baby! I want my baby back!" Cadence cried and wailed.
"I know Cadence....I want her back too..." Shining Armor sniffed. "We'll get her back....We'll get her back......"
Flurry sighed and walked over to the Waters of Peace(which Tranquil had named his drinking well).
Tranquil walked over. "Please...She will never stop...".
"Sorry Tranquil, but a lot of ponies are claiming me as a dangerous force that might kill anyone".
"They are being hushed quickly by your running away".
"Not all of them".
"Enough have....".
"How are you sure?"
"I am in the know Flurry, know that only".
Flurry looked into the water in denial.
*Back at the Crystal Empire..........*
The streets were filled with rants and shouts. Many of the crystal ponies were blaming the ponies who had caused Flurry to run away.
"It's awful...", said Celestia with worry. "What can we do to get Flurry back?"
"More over settle the disharmony between allies and 'enemies' of Flurry?", wondered Luna.
Sunburst was filled with great worry as well. "If only Amalthea could help us".
"I believe she is...", said Celestia. "But in her way...Flurry will not come back unless it is Flurry's will..."
Sunburst sighed. "If only Starlight were here".
"She is too angry with me at the moment...", Twilight said sadly.
"I'm sorry she quit on you after Spike's anger", Sunburst said turning to the lavender alicorn.
Twilight sighed. "Spike...How angry he was....". She touched her cheek where Spike had slashed her.
"I am sorry about that Twilight", said Sunburst sadly.
Shining Armor came up and comforted his little sister.
Luna turned to the white unicorn. "What is Cadence's condition?"
Shining sighed. "Not good".
"A mother never does when her foal is missing...", said Celestia.
*In Sire's Hollow.........*
Starlight was trying to deal with all that was happening, even after explaining it all to her father, Firelight. "Alright Starlight, you've lost your friends and your teacher. But that doesn't mean things won't be so bad from now on".
Amalthea's voice spoke. "You have not lost your friends Starlight, they wait for you to return when you do..."
Starlight sighed. She grabbed a book from the shelf with her magic and sat on a sofa. The book Starlight held was a collection of the Writings of Creation, From Adam to Nehemiah. Starlight read about the heroes and prophets that Amalthea set up as an example of faith in her.
"Learning of my past champions?"
"Yes. I recall Sunburst and I hearing these stories when we were foals".
"Yes. With Adam and Eve, temptation can bring to dispare. With Noah, there is always something brighter shining at the end of every rainbow. With Job, trust in you is ultimately rewarded. With Abraham, if I listen to what you tell me, you will bless me all the days of my life. With Joseph, dreams can come true, even through the power of forgiveness. With Moses, you always know a way to set me free. With Joshua, I can conquer anything when believing in you. With Gideon, I should trust you step by step. With Samson, When I'm weak, I'm made strong. You work in spite of my rebellion. With Ruth, even if I'm of a different people, you always bless me if I serve you. With David, You are my shepherd. With Elijah, you are the only true goddess. With Jonah, you should always give ponies a 2nd chance even if they don't deserve it. With Daniel, you always take care of me, even when I'm in a dangerous place. With Esther, you never have to be afraid to do what's right. With Nehemiah, If I remember you, I will be blessed".
Starlight then frowned in sadness. "But it seems I've forgotten these stories after Sunburst got his cutie mark".
"Yet You and Twilight are the parable of forgiveness are you not?"
"Yes, we kind of are".
"So when shall you return to your friends Starlight? I see that you do and when already".
Starlight stood up with determination. "I understand now. Even in dark times, you're always there for us. Thank you Amalthea".
The pink unicorn then rushed off to the train station.
"Always my foal".
*In Tranquil's dimension.........*
Flurry was resting under a tree with Tranquil, when she notices a strange glowing light in the distance.
"Huh...", said Tranquil. "I wonder what those lights are floating around?"
"We better go see", suggested Flurry.
They went to the light which lead into a cave. Tranquil escorted Flurry inside. The light then formed, revealing an angel. Flurry was astonished.
"I see...", spoke Tranquil in amazement.
"An angel of Amalthea", finished Flurry. She bowed in reverence.
Tranquil did the same.
"Fear not", The angel said. "Amalthea is with you".
"What brings you here?", Tranquil asked.
"I have been sent by the lady to help Flurry understand herself", The angel answered.
"I see", said Tranquil.
The angel turned to Flurry. "Young Princess, You have been struggling for a while trying to find out what makes your worth to Equestria. To really do that, you will have to go to the very beginning and experience the life and wonders of Amalthea's great champions who did many great things for Equestria".
Flurry was amazed by those words as Tranquil listened.
A bright holy light surrounded the 2 and they disappeared into an unknown realm.
*In the Crystal Empire.......*
Twilight was sadly sitting in a chair.
"Where is Spike?", asked Celestia.
"He's in his room back in Twilight's castle", answered Applejack. "He's refused to talk to any of us".
"I shall speak to him when I get the chance...", Celestia said.
"If he's willing to listen to you", Applejack wondered nervously.
"He should listen to me, me at least", said Celestia.
"That's true considering that you were the one who raised him", replied Pinkie.
"Yet Twilight raised him more...", said Rarity.
"True.......", Pinkie admitted. "But Celestia is still his mother".
Just then, the doors opened. The girls turned to see that it was Starlight.
"Starlight?", asked Twilight.
"She's back!", exclaimed Applejack happily.
Pinkie hugged Starlight who returned the gesture.
"That's one friend who returned", said Rarity with a smile.
Starlight walked over to Twilight feeling a little nervous.
Twilight smiled friendly. "Welcome back Starlight".
Starlight hugged her teacher tightly, tears rolling down her face.
"I was hoping you would come back", said Twilight warmley.
"All it took was reading our famous Writings of Creation", Starlight admitted.
"Wise words indeed", Twilight said.
Starlight nodded.
"Right now, we are just managing what we can...", said Twilight.
"Cadence is not doing well", said Shining.
"How bad is she?", asked Starlight.
"She is a mess and barely sleeps", answered Luna.
Starlight was shocked. "Oh no..........".
"We need to continue our search some way", said Celestia.
"Not while Cadence is in a bad condition", said Starlight.
"I have her under my watch Starlight", assured Shining.
"No", said Starlight with determination. "Cadence needs comfort from another pony......., Me".
"Why"..., Shining questioned.
"Because I know what it's like to worry about somepony you love dearly", answered Starlight.
"Okay?", replied Shining.
"Point me to her chambers", said Starlight.
Shining lead the pink unicorn to the royal bed chambers. Once in front of the doors, Starlight took a deep breath and knocked.
"Wh-Who's there?"
"It's Starlight Glimmer, Princess. May I please come in?"
"Alright...."
Starlight opened the door and found a tired looking Cadence laying on her bed.
"Did you find my baby?...."
"No, I didn't. Princess, you need to stop all this".
"Stop what?...Worrying for my daughter?"
"This isn't good for your health". Starlight pulled out a mirror. "Look at yourself".
"I don't care! I want my baby!"
Feeling fed up, Starlight struck Cadence across the cheek.
Shining gasped. "Starlight!"
Cadence put her hoof to her cheek. "You hit me!"
Starlight stood firm. "Princess Cadence, I have had enough of this attitude of yours!"
Shining cut in. "Starlight she is in grief! As am I...We lost our daughter and we are heartbroken...Cut her and I some slack...You are not a parent you don't know what that's like..."
"No, but you shouldn't let grief take hold of you. Cadence, I want to show you something that's given me comfort".
Starlight pulled out the Writings of Creation and gave it to The Love Princess. Cadence read from the Creation all the way to Nehemiah. When she finished, Cadence turned to Starlight feeling moved.
"Th-Thank you Starlight".
"Your welcome, Princess".
The two hugged.
"I hope Flurry is okay....".
"If we pray that Amalthea will protect her, she will be".
Flurry Heart and Tranquil were in some strange dark void.
"Where are we?", wondered Flurry.
Then, another alicorn appeared. She looked to be about 17 yrs old, her coat was as white as Amalthea's, her mane and tail where white trimmed with yellow. Her cutie mark was the YinYang symbol.
"You are in the very beginning of time and space", she said.
"I am Rava, daughter of Amalthea", the alicorn answered.
"What are you doing here?", asked Flury.
"I'm here to show you the lives of my mother's past champions to help know more about yourself and your purpose in life", Rava answered with a kind smile.
Tranquil kneeled. "You honor us Rava..."
"Arise dear Tranquil, there is much to be seen".
Flurry and Tranquil followed Rava as she lead them. Rava then spoke in narrative.
"In the beginning my Mother created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of my Mother was hovering over the waters. She said..."
"Let there be light!"
"My Mother created both day and night".
As Rava spoke, the dark void changed in shape and color.
"She made the world in her image, and it was perfect. My Mother created ponykind to do good. But when sin came into the world, it was never the same.
"For generations, most ponies did good, others did evil. Mother set up many heroes to set things right for those in need. When your Aunt Twilight came into the world, she was able to do many great things for Equestria, it was all because of my Mother".
Rava turned to Flurry. "What do you believe now that you've seen all this?"
Flurry looked with faith. "I now fully understand that Amalthea will always be with me in both good and bad times, so will my friends and family. I now know that I don't have to be afraid of my abilities, because that is what makes me special".
Tranquil smiled. "Wonderful".
Rava smiled. "Then my work here is done. Now go, my Mother is always with you". The white alicorn then dissapeared.
Everything changed and Flurry and Tranquil were now back in the cave.
Tranquil turned to Flurry. "Shall I take you to your family Flurry?"
"Yes, for I don't have to worry about being a threat anymore".
The two then left the demension and headed off to the Crystal Empire.
Back in the Crystal Empire, things had gotten worse, the ponies who defended Flurry's honor were throwing objects at those who opposed her. Cadence had to use force to instate order. The guards tried their best to keep everypony inline.
Cadence sighed. "Why is this happening?....I just want my foal back..."
"Someponys are upset that others called Flurry dangerous to the Empire", Sunburst replied.
"Who cares what they think..", snorted Cadence. "...I'll show them...
"Cadence", begged Starlight. "Please don't act so ruff. Your the Princess of Love"
"Even I have my limits Starlight...", said Cadence. "And what I meant is we should show them is that my daughter is their princess and they should respect and love her as they did before"
Just then, a guard burst into the room panting.
"What is it?"
"Someone is waiting on the balcony for you"
"Who?"
"Come see"
Cadence walked with the guard.
When they came the balcony, their stood a small pony. The pony turned around revealing herself to be... Flurry.
"Flurry!"
"Mom!"
The two embraced.
"My foal! *weep* You're back!"
The two held each other for what felt like an eternity.
"How did you get here Flurry?"
"You can thank my new friend". The filly pointed to Tranquil.
"You....You look like a friend of ours", said Cadence.
"Do I? Who?", asked Tranquil.
"Not important", replied Cadence. "Thank you so much..."
"My pleasure Princess", said Tranquil bowing.
The 3 returned to the others. Cadence ran up to her husband. "Shining! Look who came back!"
Flurry ran up to her daddy.
"Flurry!" Shining hugged her daughter who hugged back. "Oh Flurry, you worried us..."
"I'm sorry Daddy"
"I am just happy you are home"
As the two hugged, Starlight came up. "Nice to see the family back together. But, we still have an issue outside"
Starlight was right. For outside, the defending ponies and opposing ponies were breaking through the restraining guards.
"What ever shall we do?!", asked Rarity dramatically.
"We deal with it like we always do", answered Twilight. "Shining can you come with us? Cadence you stay with Flurry"
"I'll go with you", said Tranquil.
"Who are you?", Twilight asked.
"Tranquil", the draconequus answered.
"Ya look like someone we know called 'Discord' ", Applejack said.
Tranquil raised an eye-brow. "Discord?"
"Long story", replied Pinkie. "We'll tell ya later"
They left for the crowd.

Outside, the mobs grew worse by the minute.
Twilight let out the Royal Canterlot Voice. "BE QUIET!!"
Everypony cringed in fear.
"Thank you; now I'd like to announce that your princess has returned safely thanks to our new friend here"
Tranquil stepped forward. The crowd was perplexed.
The draconequus then spoke. "Listen well to our story, how Flurry and I met and our encounter with Amalthea herself! And her Daughter"
The crowd listened as Tranquil spoke of everything that happened, they were amazed.
"So I appeal to you...Flurry is your princess, and heir....She means no harm to you and had been taught divinely....Will you accept her?"
After a few moments, the ponies shouted in praise for their young princess.
"Thank you all!", cried Cadence.
A month later...
The Crystal Faire was on, All welcomed it including Spike who was now over his tantrum, and Flurry was more eager than ever to enjoy the festivities.
Emerald was their with her too. "I'm glad you are liked now Flurry"
"Me too Emerald"
"You really scared me when you ran off; I was worried so bad...But I already said that..."
"Yeah"
Cadence walked up. "We are almost ready Flurry"
"Ok, Mom"
The Mother and Daughter hugged. Emerald smiled on at them, happy that things would go well for her friend and her family.
"Come along Flurry", Cadence. "Emerald"
"Coming Princess"
The Princess of Love lead the two fillies along.
Outside, Twilight was looking over everything until she accidentally ran into Flash Sentry.
"Apologizes Twilight"
"Oh no, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings"
"I should be sharper, being a guard requires it"
Twilight chuckled.
The two stared into each other's eyes.
Flash soon broke the silence. "So...M-My shift ends soon, may I perhaps...See you later?"
Twilight blushed. "Sure, I'd like that"
Flash smiled and kissed her hoof. "See you later Princess Twilight" He saluted and moved on.
Twilight watched him dreamily.
"Twilight?"
The lavender alicorn having heard her sister-in-law's voice suddenly snapped out of it.
Cadence giggled. "See Flash again?" She winked.
Twilight blushed greatly. "No, no, of course not. What gave you that idea?"
Cadence snirked. "You're blushing Twilight, and I saw Flash leave"
Emerald giggled.
Twilight sighed in defeat. "Alright you got me"
Cadence laughed. "How cute~ So you seeing him later?"
"Yes"
"Very nice; you coming along with us?"
"Ah, yes"

"Let's try the crafts Flurry", suggested Emerald

"Be careful and stay close girls"

The girls made amazing crafts. Cadence smiled. "These are lovely Flurry, Emerald"
"Thanks Mom"
"Thanks Princess Cadence"
They later watched a jousting match with crystal corn as snacks. Soon the time came for the biggest thing of the entire fair.
"Now for the moment you've waited for, Cadence told Flurry. "The activation of the Crystal Heart!"
Flurry grinned with excitement.
Ponies soon exerted their love and light, it lead to the heart and then it dispensed the protective and rejuvenating energy to the Empire. It was a sight to behold.
Flurry hugged her mother who returned the gesture.

"Best Crystal fair ever!", squeaked Emerald.
"Couldn't agree more", replied Flurry.
"So what you wanna do now?"

The 2 rushed to Flurry's room to enjoy some filly time pampering. On the way, they bumped into somepony.
"Oh...Sorry", Emerald said.
The pony they bumped into was a white unicorn stallion who looked to be about 50 years old. His mane and tail were gold with strains of grey. His cutie mark was a shield with a cross in the middle.
"Oh it's quite alright", the stallion said assuringly. "Just remember to look where your going"
"Who are you?"
"I'm known as Sir Lionel"
"Wow...", said Emerald.
"Why you here?", asked Flurry.
"I came here for the crystal fair of course", Lionel answered.
"Where are you from?"
"I come from the town of Bethlehem"
"Really??"
"Yes"
"That is amazing", said Emerald.
Lionel chuckled. "Yes, everypony is amazed by that since it's the town where King David grew up in before he faced Goliath"
"Definitely", Flurry said nodding.
"Well I better be heading home now. You two stay out of trouble. Oh, and Princess Flurry?"
"Yes?"
"Remember, Amalthea made you special and she loves you very much"
The stallion then walked off into the night. Flurry looked amazed. She turned to Emerald.
"That was something....", Emerald said.
"Yeah", replied Flurry.
"Let's get to your room Flurry"

The two continued to Flurry's bed room to enjoy their fun.
