"So you seriously mean that you're finished?" Dash said as her and Fury Flight walked out of the front doors of Canterlot castle. Fury had just came back from the dead, and Rainbow was still in a state of shock. He had just walked in and told her he was ready to leave the castle. She had been shocked even more to see Celestia walking through the halls. What had she missed this morning after Luna had left. She would find out what happened eventually as she always did, she knew how to make Fury talk. "You mean you're leaving the castle forever?" she said, slower this time.

"Yes Dash, I am seriously leaving this castle forever," Fury said as they walked through the courtyard, past Celestia's tree. "I am leaving the castle and this life behind me, and as far as the rest of the world is concerned, Prince Fury Flight died this morning," Fury said in a royal voice. Dash commenced to giggling and drew Fury's eye from the front gate. "What is so funny?" Fury asked the giggling Pegasus.

"Oh nothin, just that you sound like Princess Luna when you use that royal voice of yours," Dash said through her voracious giggling.

Fury smiled and decided to pursue the assumption. "Well, Luna is thy sister," Fury said, now impersonating his younger sister. At this, Dash completely lost it and fell to the ground laughing. Fury couldn't help himself and joined her, after all, he was rather comical. They rolled around in the courtyard laughing as Princess Luna walked over to the two pegasi.

"What is going on here?" the voice of the moon princess said. Fury and Dash scrambled to their feet and faced Luna.

"Nothing your majesty," Dash said quickly, trying to hide tears of joy.

"Doest thou find us amusing?" Luna demanded.

Fury cleared his throat and spoke. "We do in fact findst thou amusing, and we would like to comment on thou speech."

"Why we otta throw you to the monkeys brother!" Luna yelled as a small smile came across her face. She turned around and walked back towards the castle, obviously starting to cry. Fury raced over to his sister with such a speed that Rainbow became jealous.

"Luna, don't cry, it was only meant as a joke," Fury said as he reached her and placed a hoof on her shoulder.

"Brother, you are leaving this castle and us forever possibly, and the only thing you can do to say goodbye is make fun of our speech," Luna said through tears.

Fury wrapped Luna up in a tight bear hug and spoke softly to her, "Don't you ever say that to me again sister. You know you can always reach me and I will fight every beast in Tartarus to get to you. I won't be gone forever Luna, just long enough for me and Dash to see the world a little," Fury said as he pulled away from the hug.

"Ok, but promise us that you'll write us every chance you get," Luna said, wiping the last of her tears from her cheek..

"I will write you at every place I can find a carrier pigeon or owl to send you a letter," Fury said as Luna began to walk back to the castle. Fury returned to Dash and they set out to their first big adventure, The iron wings Pegasus trials.

"I thought we were going on an adventure, not Cloudsdale?" Dash asked as the two pegasi flew towards the floating cloud city. "I have been on every single inch of that city, trust me, it's no adventure," she said, beginning to get aggravated that Fury hadn't responded to her yet.

"Yes Dash I realize that, but we aren't going to Cloudsdale to explore it, but rather to join in on an event," Fury said as he finally answered Dash.

"What event are you talking about Fury, there's only the wonderbolts and the best young fliers competition," Dash said as they came closer to the city.

"This is an event that starts in cloudsdale, but expands all over equestria. The Iron Wing Competition," Fury said as they closed in on the first few clouds of the city of the sky.

"What do you mean all over equestria?" Dash said, now finally intrigued by the conversation.

"The event covers all the major and minor landmarks of equestria, and I thought it would be a good way to get most of them out of the way," Fury began.

"A race, oh no fury. I want to visit the monuments, not race by them," Dash said.

"But," Fury started again.

"Don't but me Fury, I know how I am with racing, so lets take a journey to see them, but not to race by them," Dash said.

"Alright Dash, so where do you want to go first?" Fury asked, stopping when they reached the first street of Cloudsdale, Dash Street, named after the Pegasus beside him.

"Somewhere we can eat, I'm starving," Dash said, standing up on two feet to show Fury her stomach rumbling.

"How about the café, I'm sure," Fury started.

"If that sentence ends with to see my mother, you might as well jump off that cloud, because it's not happening. She kicked me out a long time ago and I'm still mad about it," Dash said, fuming with anger.

"Because, she has the best food in town," Fury finished. "And because you haven't told her the news."

"Fine, we'll eat there, but I'm not going to talk to her," Dash said grumpily.

"Dash, it's been a long time and time changes ponies. Maybe she changed and would like to see you Dash, Don't judge your mother by her actions in the past," Fury said as they walked down Dash Street to the café that Dash's mom, Firefly owned. They walked through the front door of the café and Dash's mouth dropped. The walls of the diner were adorned with newspaper clippings of Dash and all of her achievements.

"What is all of this?" Dash said as she looked around in awe of the café.

"I've kept track of you throughout the years, even though you never came back," came a voice similar to Dash's. Firefly stood at the edge of the kitchen at the back of the diner.

"You mean you still care about me?" Dash said in shock and awe to the blue maned pink Pegasus.

"Yes my little Dash, I cared about you when I told you to leave. The next day I regretted my decision and tried to find you, but you had disappeared," Firefly said as she walked over to her daughter. Dash began to walk towards her and they met in the middle with a hug. "I will never push you away again Rainbow, I promise," Firefly said as she tightened her embrace around Dash. Fury broke the moment with a clearing of his throat. "And who might this young stallion be," Firefly asked, looking towards Fury Flight.

Fury chuckled at the sound of young, if she only knew how young he was. "My name is Fury Flight miss Firefly," Fury started.

"Do you mean Fury Flight as in Prince Fury Flight?" Firefly asked slowly.

"Yes ma'am, but I am prince no longer, thank goodness. I am now just a humble Pegasus with his mare," Fury said politely.

Firefly began to shake with anticipation, "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygpshohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!"
Now Fury knew where Dash got her attitude. "You have to tell me, are the stories true about you, can you really change form, and is it true that you battled demons from the pits of Tartarus?" Firefly asked all at once, and Fury stopped her with his hoof.

"Do not believe everything you hear Firefly. I did a lot of things in my time as an alicorn, but I wasn't picking fights with everything that crawled out of that pit," Fury said as he walked towards a booth.

"Then tell me what to believe," Firefly said as she and Dash followed him.

"Yes, I could change form, but no, I never battled demons from Tartarus, because there are none," Fury said as he sat down at the booth, Rainbow beside him and Firefly sat across from them.

"Ok, on that note, how did you stumble across my Rainbow dash?" Firefly asked.

"Oh it was years ago and the story is a long one," Fury said.

"Where am I gonna go, and I got nothin but time," Firefly said as she gave Fury a confident "get on with it" look.

"Alright, but only because you are Dash's mom," Fury said with a chuckle as he began his story.

Fury's Perspective

It was ten years ago yesterday and I was studying spells in my study when I heard a couple night guards talking as they passed by my room.

"You going to that spectacular today in Cloudsdale?" I overheard the first guard say.

"No, gotta stay over for the day guard, guy's a real prick and won't show up on time," The other guard said. "Gonna miss it, its too bad too, that mare I told you about is gonna be there, you know the rainbow maned daredevil"

At hearing this, I walked out of my study and called out to the guards.

"Yes Fury sir," the guards said in unison and at full attention.

"At ease boys, what are you talking about, a Rainbow maned daredevil?" I said to them.

"Yes sir, she has been spotted doing a lot of crazy stunts around Cloudsdale, and we were hoping to get a shot at her," the first guard said.

"But you are bat ponies, and she sounds like a Pegasus," I said.

"Well with all due respect sir, if she does crazy stunts, maybe she would like to try bat ponies on for size," They both said in unison.

"If you say so boys, dismissed," I said smiling and shaking my head before I turned to leave. I looked to my studies, then to the front door, then back to my studies, "Oh what's one day going to hurt, besides I haven't taken a day off in a couple of years or ten," I said before making a b line for the front door. I knew that my current form would raise questions, so I cast my incognito spell on myself.

"Wait a minute?" Firefly asked, "Can all alicorns just change appearance?"

"No miss Firefly, only the eternal guardian can change form like this," Fury said before continuing his story.

My alternate form is a Pegasus with a more pronounced red and yellow mane. The name I go by is Fire Flight. I flew through the door at sonic speeds and started the trip towards the floating city of Cloudsdale. I arrived there around dawn, and the sun was just starting to poke its glorious face over the horizon. "I guess I should have checked the time before I left," I said as I walked towards the stadium entrance. As I approached the entrance, the gatekeeper at the front door stood up and waited on me. The Pony was an orange mare with a green fluffy mane. "When does the show start?" I asked the Gatekeeper.

"It starts in about two hours," she said sleepily. "They put me here to keep ponies from trying to get in without paying."

"Can I reserve a seat then?" I asked.

"Yes you can," She replied.

"Then I would like to reserve a seat," I said in return.

"What row and seat?" the gatekeeper said as she pulled a list from the white desk she sat behind.

"In the back, with a view of the crowd. I'm kind of looking for someone," I said with a grin.

The gatekeeper gave me a "he's totally a creeper" face before answering. "How about row twenty eight, seat five."

"Sounds good to me," I said as she continued to look at me weird.

"That will be ten bits," The gatekeeper said, changing her face back to her sleepy face.

I turned around after I paid for the seat and began walking back into the city. "Surely there has to be coffee shop or something around here open," I said as I searched the streets surrounding the stadium. I searched for a while before giving up. "Guess I'll have to go without. Back to the stadium, looks like I killed about an hour or so." I went back to the stadium where pegasi were starting to line up to get in. I waited in line for what seemed like forever, but found out was only about fifteen minutes. As I walked past the gatekeeper she stopped me.

"Ok listen Mr...." the gatekeeper snapped.

"Fire flight," I answered.

"Fire Flight, you're lucky you showed up, I was about to pull out reservations when I realized I hadn't asked for your name. You nearly lost you seat," she said as she wrote down my name onto the list.

"Well thank you for saving my seat and stopping me," I said before moving through the line into the stadium.

The stadium was starting to pack up, and I was glad to have a seat high up. As soon as I sat down, I started looking for the mare the guards described. It was still early and she hadn't showed up yet, so I made myself comfortable and waited. Before long I heard voices start to reach me, and I opened my eyes to see the crowd one row ahead of me. I then heard a voice beside me.

"Hey you, can you sit up so I can get through?" the voice called out.

I turned to see the mare that I was waiting on. She was better than the guards described. She had slim but muscular legs, and a streamlined body to die for. Her wings were bright and vibrant, while her mane was lit up by every color of the rainbow. "Sure, let me out of your way," I said. "By the way, what's your name?"

"Look pal, I just want my seat, not a relationship ok," she said as she passed me.

"Maybe we got off on the wrong hoof, my name is Fire Flight, and it is polite to ask a pony their name as well," I said. "And now your name is."

"Fine, my name is Dash, Rainbow Dash," Dash said, "Why, surely you've heard of me."

"No, I haven't actually," I lied.

"Well I don't like to brag, but I am the best flier Cloudsdale has to offer," Dash said proudly.

"Then why aren't you a wonderbolt yet?" I asked honestly.

"Hey, I don't stick my nose where it doesn't belong, so don't you," Dash answered.

"My bad Rainbow Dash, didn't mean to overstep. Just seems odd if your the best, then why hasn't the best taken you in?" I said.

"So maybe they won't return my letters or give me a chance to prove myself," Dash said just above a whisper to me. "So, Fire Flight huh, is that just a name or can you fly on fire?" Dash asked inquisitively.

"No, I cannot fly on fire, my parents gave me this name because of my fiery determination," I said to her.

"Oh, look, they're coming out!" Dash said as the flight team made their appearance.

"Hello everypony, fillies and colts of all ages, and welcome to the Spring Spectacular show!" the announcer said ultra hyped through the microphone. "First out of the cloud is your left wing Quick Feather!!! The next pony is the right wing, Feather wind!! Now the captain and the pony you all have been waiting for, Swift Wing!!" The announcer nearly yelled into the mic.

"Yeah, look at them go, I'll be in Swift Wing's spot someday!" Rainbow cheered as she watched the team race into the sky.

"You must be some fan to know so much about them," I said to Dash.

"Are you kidding, I know everything about them, like Swift Wing uses the bathroom twice at every event," Dash said matter of factly.

"Why would I want to know that?" I said.

"You really are an idiot aren't you. He likes to be as light as he can to fly his fastest!" Dash retorted.

"Only a weirdo would know how many times Swift Wing uses the restroom at events," I replied.

"Take that back!" Dash yelled.

"How about NO! I meant what I said!" I replied.

"Why are you even talking to me if you are going to insult me?!" Dash asked.

"Because I am intrigued by your story and am simply investigating your claims," I replied.

"Oh ok, I get it. You're saying that you like me?" Dash said seriously.

"Wait, what, that's not what I said," I replied nervously.

Dash rolled her eyes before speaking, "Oh I can already see it, but like I said, I'm not interested."

I decided to play along and egg her on. "Not interested or playing hard to get?" Got her I thought as dash's ears pinned back and her adorable face went a little red.

"No! just not interested," Dash repeated.

"Ok then, what if I told you that Swift Wing was the slowest wonderbolt," I said slowly, deliberately slow. That done it, her face reddened out of anger and her face began to darken and I realized that she was just too cute mad.

"Do you not have eyes moron, Swift Wing is the Fastest, followed by Feather wind, then Quick Feather brings up the rear!!" Dash yelled angrily.

"Ok, ok Dash, you're right, just wanted to see how cute you were mad," I said grinning.

Dash's face reddened again out of embarrassment. "I am not cute, I'm too awesome to be cute," she murmured.

"I think this conversation should be finished somewhere else. So can I get your cloud number so I can visit you, or are you still playing hard to get?" I said.

Dash reacted differently, this time nodding her head in agreement before answering. "I am actually homeless," Dash said.

"So then let's meet around Cloudsdale," I said.

"Ok, oh look, foam hooves, let's get one!" Dash said. Their voices faded away as the story ended.

back to the present

"That's the story of how me and Dash met," Fury said giving Firefly a tattered and slightly faded picture.

"Oh no, I couldn't take this, it's your guy's first picture together," Firefly started, But was cut off by Fury.

"Take it, I have another, place it on the wall," Fury said. He was lying of course, but he wanted to clean the slate, and the picture reminded him too much of his old life.

"Are you gonna eat or what?" Dash's voice interrupted from his thoughts. "I got your favorite, and don't worry, mom's still got it."

He looked down to see his plate, and on it was his favorite meal, a hayburger cooked to perfection, not burnt, but still juicy and adorned with lettuce and tomato, and extra crispy hay fries. The two enjoyed their meals before Firefly returned from the kitchen with three slices of cherry cheese cake.

"And here comes dessert!" Firefly said as she balanced the plates on her wings. "Surely you two aren't flying all the way back to Canterlot tonight are you?" Firefly asked as she placed the plates on the table. Fury shook his head, he wasn't returning there any time soon. "Oh good, I think your bedroom is still there and may even be clean, you can stay there for the night or as long as you need. I warn you though, though I might of aged, but my ears are still keen, so no fooling around!" Firefly said seriously.

Dash began to giggle until Firefly's eyes locked on her, in which she gulped. "Mom, we're both adults, I'm sure we can keep our hooves off each other for one night. After all, it has been a little while since we..." Dash started.

"Ahem, I am your mother, I don't want to hear that!" Firefly said, beginning to look disgusted.

The three looked at each other for a moment before returning to their dessert. After they finished off the cheese cake, they cleaned up and started heading up to bed. "I'll be there in a minute, don't wait up," Fury said as he looked around.

"Ok dear, my room is up the stairs to the left, the LEFT Fury, if you go to the right, you will walk in on my mother and you don't want that", Dash said as her mother gave Dash a stink eye. She then walked up the stairs and went to her bedroom.

Fury picked up a piece of parchment and a quill from his bag and began to write.

Dearest sister,

we arrived in Cloudsdale today and I got the chance to meet Firefly, Dash's mother. I have to say that Dash is just like her to a tee. Gotta fly, leaving tomorrow to our next adventure- The Great Falls outside of Manehatten.

Yours always,

Fury Flight

Fury took the letter to the window and whispered a few words. The letter popped out of existence and appeared in Luna's chambers. He didn't want Dash to know he had a little magic left. He then walked up the stairs and to the first bedroom on the left. He opened the door and nearly died laughing. The walls were adorned with wonderbolt's posters and a pop singer that was famous during the time, he couldn't remember her name. Dash was sleeping on a bed that looked like it would barely hold them both, so Fury began to look for a spot on the floor when Dash opened her eyes.

"What are you doing?" She asked sleepily.

"There doesn't seem to be enough room on the bed for both of us, so I am making a place here on the floor for myself," Fury said as he laid a blanket down on the dusty floor.

"There's room up here, all we have to do is..." Dash said as she kicked a few pillows off the bed and maneuvered herself so she wasn't spread across the bed, "This," she finished.

Fury smiled and shook his head, though she had aged a little, she was still the young daredevil he fell in love with. He climbed into the bed and laid down with Rainbow.

"Now remember, no fooling around!" Dash said seriously, but with a mischievous grin on her face. She brought her body close to Fury's and they cuddled for a while until they fell asleep.

If Firefly's hearing was anything like she said it was, she was going to be furious. The bed was old and had developed a creak. He hardly slept, mostly tossed and turned all night, but he wouldn't tell Dash that, she slept like a baby. Their room sounded like a creaking monster, and don't forget Dash's hilarious snore and him moaning trying to find a spot to sleep. If she had any ears at all, she would be crawling all over them as soon as they walked out the bedroom door. Fury arched his back until it popped and then started with his hooves, first the front legs, stretching out and hearing them pop. He then started on his rear legs, one at a time. He then stretched out his wings, wincing as the fragile bones popped. He then rose from the bed and walked quietly across the room to the door so not to wake Dash up, who was still sleeping peacefully on the bed. He still couldn't believe how she could sleep on that bed. He opened the door slowly and closed it quietly before walking straight into Firefly's nose.

"Having fun last night were we?" Firefly asked seriously. "I don't care if you are royalty, if you hurt my dash, I'll kick your ass," she said as serious as she could be.

"And good morning to you too," Fury said sleepily. "That bed is seriously uncomfortable, tried all night to sleep. That cloud needs to be put out of it's misery, I don't know how Dash could sleep at all."

"So you mean you didn't," Firefly started.

"No, we didn't," Fury replied as he began to look for the restroom.

"At the end of the hallway," Firefly pointed. "I swear, all stallions are the same."

"What happened to..." Fury started.

"An accident at the weather factory, he was a fire fighter, and they responded to an explosion call there. Three went in, but only one came out. Her father gave his life to get the last fire fighter out," Firefly said as Fury stopped and looked at a photo on the wall of a Stallion with a rainbow mane holding Rainbow on his shoulders on one of the streets of Cloudsdale. They looked like they were watching a parade of some sort. "It was taken when Cloudsdale was on the list for possible places for the Equestria games. Rainbow was just a foal, and she was so let down when they cancelled on Cloudsdale. This was taken about a year before the accident," Firefly said as she stood beside Fury. "So tell me Fury Flight, you told me how you two met, but why have you stayed with Rainbow all these years. I know alicorns live forever and she is just a Pegasus, so why?"

"Even when I was an alicorn, a love that is as true and deep as the love we share is once in a lifetime. I knew that I would watch her age and eventually die why I never seemed to age a day, but it was worth it to be in the life of one of the greatest ponies I have ever met. She hides behind that wall of toughness and awesomeness, but once you sneak around it, you find a mare who is loving and caring and even a bit sensitive. She is the reason that I gave it all up, the guardian and my immortality. I will age and die with her now, and I can say that knowing that we are both doomed has made her even more beautiful, both inside and out," Fury said to Firefly as he walked to the bathroom. He noticed tears starting to roll off of her cheeks, so he figured it was time to leave. He went to the restroom and done his business, and then washed his hooves and returned to the hallway, but it was empty. Both doors were open, and he heard Dash's voice down the stairs, complaining because he had left without even waking her. She would never change, and he loved it. He crept down the stairs silently and flew quietly just above the ground to make as little noise as possible. The voices were coming from the kitchen so he flew towards the door when he heard one of them walking towards him. He quickly moved to the side of the door, just out of view as Dash walked out.

"I can't believe he just got up and walked out without Wha.. mmmm..." Dash started to say before Fury lept at her. He caught her and gave her the biggest good morning kiss he could. "Mmhmm, Fury, I uh...., uh....., damn it!" Rainbow half said, half yelled as she turned back into the kiss. They kissed for a few moments more before dash broke away. "What did you do? You are awfully energetic this morning," Dash said as she looked up to Fury with dreamy eyes.

"I don't know, I didn't sleep at all hardly last night, must be because you look twenty percent hotter with that bed mane," Fury said as he winked at Dash, who began to run her hoof through her mane.

"What, oh my, how original, did you come up with that yourself," Dash said sarcastically as Fury began to giggle. "My mane is a wreck isn't it though," Dash said after she took her hoof out of her mane. "I guess I'd better go brush it," Dash said as she used her hoof to quickly style her mane to it's usual swagness. "There we go, now I look twenty percent cooler," She said looking at Fury with a "This is how it goes" look.

"Alright love birds, breakfast is ready," Firefly said as she walked into the café area with three bowls of oatmeal balancing on her left wing.

"How do you do that mom?, and is there anything besides oatmeal?" Dash asked hungrily as she held the door open for Firefly.

"Oh Dash, this just comes with time in the business, and no, there is just oatmeal this morning. The Great Falls are on the other side of Manehatten, and that is a six hour flight alone without air traffic. Haven't you ever Flown that far and long before?" Firefly asked as she carried the three bowls over to the first booth where they had ate last night.

"What, not even toast or eggs? And no mom, I haven't flown that far before in one shot, but I'm sure I'll be alright with just a little extra," Dash said, rubbing her belly.

"Dash, if you eat too much, you will cramp up and crash a few hours in," Firefly said seriously as she began to eat.

"Fine, I'll just eat this and go hungry until we get to Manehatten," Dash said grumpily as she started to inhale her own oatmeal.

Neither of them had even noticed Fury as he enjoyed his meal and slipped away from the table and had walked over to the door. He had received a letter from Luna and didn't want to disturb them.

Dear Brother,

We are glad that you have introduced yourself to Dash's parents. We will give you a gift when you reach the falls to celebrate your engagement. We patiently wait for your reply,
with love,
Luna

Fury read the words from the letter and wondered what she had planned for them at the falls? Would she surprise them and show up there with Dash's friend, Pinkie Pie? That mare needed to find caffeine free stuff and less sugar, She was always so hyper and full of energy. Dash interrupted his thinking, again.

"Fury, what are you doing over there?" she asked suspiciously.

"Thought I saw a wonderbolt walking by and wanted to see if they were coming in," Fury lied.

"Ooh, a wonderbolt in here, there hasn't been a celebrity in here forever, in fact, there hasn't been a lot of ponies in here at all. This place has been starting to go downhill since Blitz passed away, and I have been forced to get rid of everypony but myself," Firefly said sadly.

"I think we can help change that," Fury said as he walked back over to the table. "I mean, if a former captain of the wonderbolts ate here and said the food was delicious, and a former prince said the same thing, you would be set for life."

"Oh, thank you Fury, but I think that this place has seen it's last great rush hour. I have thought about retiring and closing this place up or selling it and moving to a cloud cottage out by your friends parents house, Fluttershy," Firefly said.

"Oh alright, but don't say that I didn't try," Fury said as he sat down at the booth. He was enjoying the morning, but wasn't looking forward to the flight ahead of them. Dash was obviously enjoying the day with her mom, and he didn't want to separate them for their trip. "You know Dash, we could leave tomorrow so you could spend the rest of the day with your mom," he said to dash, who nearly spit out her breakfast.

"Really, mom, does that mean I can get more breakfast!" Dash said excitedly.

"Yes Dash, you can have more breakfast then," Firefly said as she walked back into the kitchen to wash the dishes and make more breakfast for Rainbow.

"Thank you Fury, what are you going to do today? I know you didn't do this so you could spend today with my mom," Dash said after Firefly walked into the kitchen.

"I thought I might walk around today, you know, see the city a little. It's been a while since I seen Cloudsdale and I thought I would watch the world go round for a while, it's been a little bit and I do miss watching the world run," Fury said to Dash as she began to smile a mile wide smile that would make Pinkie jealous.

"Ok, don't have too much fun without me," Dash said as she bounded happily into the kitchen. Fury turned and walked to the front door and left the café. The smell of coffee and factory smoke filled his nostrils as he walked out into the street. He watched as pegasi flew to their jobs at the weather factory and other jobs throughout Cloudsdale. He took off from the front door and flew casually towards a cloud that overlooked the city. He would watch the city for the rest of the day, or he would of if a letter didn't pop out of nowhere.

"What's this?" Fury said as he looked down at the letter on the cloud before him. "A letter for Rainbow, this can't be good. I guess I had better go find her," he said as he took off the cloud and flew back towards the café. When he arrived, Dash and Firefly were in the kitchen baking cookies and other treats.

"Hi Fury, mom decided to make cookies for a going away party tonight. She invited all my friends and the princesses. She even let me help make them!" Dash said. She was covered head to toe with flour and sprinkles.

"Are you sure your not trying to be a cookie dash?" Fury said as he eyed up Dash's body.

"Hey now, I have been making cookies all day and I only got into the flour three times," Dash said as she shook some of the flour off of her.

"I can tell," Fury said as he used his wing to block his eyes from the flour and sprinkles now flying off of the cyan Pegasus' body. He pulled out the letter and gave it to Dash. "This came for you a little while ago," he said.

"How did you get this, this is the same kind of letters that Twilight got from Celestia", Rainbow said. She opened the scroll and read the letter aloud.

hello rainbow dash,

Scootaloo here, I am just writing you to say that the orphanage decided that since I am an adult now, that I am going to be out on my own. I don't have a place to go tonight, but don't worry, Twilight said she would let me stay with her until I found a place.
gotta fly,
Scoots

"What, scoots is homeless! We have to go back to Canterlot tonight Fury!" Dash said worriedly.

"You know that these are the days that I really love you Dash, I'll get our things," Fury said as he walked up the stairs to get the bags that they had brought from Canterlot. They would have to put their trip on hold, but that didn't bother him. He didn't want to fly clear over there today anyhow. As he reached the top of the stairs, a thought occurred to him. Twilight and her friends were coming over tonight for their going away party, he could just send her a letter and have her bring Scootaloo's things with her. He turned around and trotted back down the stairs where Dash was now washing her hooves. "Dash, you know that Twilight is coming over with the rest of your friends tonight right?" he said to her as she dried her hooves.

"Yea, and your point is?" Dash said confused.

"My point is that we can write a letter to her and have her bring Scootaloo and her things with her here tonight," Fury said with a grin, not realizing that he basically spilled the beans about his magic.

"The mail ponies won't make it over there....., Wait, how did you get that letter anyhow. The mail doesn't run for another hour?" Dash said, beginning to squint her eyes.

"Ok, ok, I apologize in advance for this Dash, but I kept a little magic for small errands like mail and stuff," Fury squeaked out.

"WHAT!" Dash exploded, " YOU STILL HAVE YOUR MAGIC!!!"

Fury cringed at the sound of Dash's screams, but he knew he deserved it. "Only a small portion Dash, just enough to send and receive letters and stuff, nothing more," he said, trying to calm down the furious Pegasus. Firefly was looking at Fury with the same look of hatred that Dash was giving him. He knew he had hurt her, but he didn't want Dash to think that he kept his magic to secretly keep up his hero work, but that was probably exactly what she was thought. "I am sorry Dash, really I am. I know how much I must of hurt you," he said softly.

"Hurt! Hurt Fury! NO! hurt is telling me that you don't like my mother or my family, This is just stupid. Do you think that I would never find out Fury, or were you just going to keep up your little game of charades and keep me blind while you go out and play hero!" Dash said with a fire in her voice that Fury didn't want to see again.

"No Dash, it's not like that. Yes, I was keeping it from you, but only because I didn't want you to react like this right away. I was going to tell you slowly," Fury said apologetically. Dash's face began to lighten up, but then went right back to its rigid state. She turned and stormed up the stairs and slammed the bedroom door shut.

"I think you should leave, you have done enough here for one day," Firefly said rudely.

Fury hung his head and walked out the front door. "You really did it this time Fury," he thought as he walked up the street. She probably wouldn't talk to him for a while and he knew he more than deserved that. "There is only one thing to do now that will even begin to salvage this mess," Fury said to himself. He stretched out his wings and took off from the cloud and began the flight towards Ponyville.

Firefly heard a sniffle come from Dash's room upstairs, so she walked up the stairs and lightly tapped on the door.

"Go away Fury," Dash Sobbed quietly.

Firefly gently opened the door and peered in, "Hello dear, mind if I come in?" she asked gently. Dash slowly nodded her head and Firefly walked over to the bed. She got ready to speak, but dash started in.

"What have I done mom, I all but told him that we were through," she sobbed. The sobs continued and rocked her body with shudders. Firefly reached out and held Dash her close to her hooves.

"It's ok dear, its not your fault. I'm sure he meant what he said and did in a good way, but he still lied to you and deserved everything he got," she said, soothing Dash out of her tears.

"Thanks mom, but I still feel that I messed up, I mean what if he doesn't come back?" Dash started, but Firefly cut her off and scolded her.

"Don't you dare think like that, I haven't seen a stallion more in love, he'll come back, don't you worry," Firefly said. She slowly began to sing a lullaby from her childhood that she used to sing to Dash when she was a foal.

Sleep now, rest now,
close your eyes and dream away,
Enter now the world of sleep,
enter now the world of dreams.

She sang softly as Dash's eyes began to droop and she slowly fell asleep.

Fury arrived in ponyville around noon and found it a bustling mess, Ponies were storming the markets and buying as much food as they could carry back to their houses. He flew to the apple farm where he would start his search for Scootaloo.

When he arrived at Sweet Apple Acres, Big Mac was at the front of the orchard tending to the younger apple trees, while Applejack was far off in the back. She was pruning the larger and more impressive trees and getting ready for the first harvest the next week. Big Mac nodded at Fury when he approached. "Hey Big Mac," Fury said to the large red stallion.

"Howdy Fury, what brings ya round these parts?" Big Mac said with a strong country twang.

"I was wondering if Scootaloo might be here?" Fury asked. Big Mac nodded and pointed one of his massive hooves towards the old treehouse that served as their clubhouse years ago.

"They've been there since this morning," Mac said. "Said she was looking for a home or something."

"Dash sent, well, I came to get her, we are going to take her in until she can find a place," Fury said. Mac nodded and went back to his work. Fury Walked towards the old oak tree that held the treehouse. He heard some laughing and talking coming from the house. He walked up the ramp that ran up to the treehouse. It looked like it had seen better days as it was holy and half rotten. At the sound of his hoovesteps, the treehouse went silent. He knocked on the door three times, and the door shot open and a light green earth pony stood in the doorway.

"Um...., hello," Apple Bloom squeaked out. "Can I help you?" she said nervously.

"Hello, Big Mac said I could find Scootaloo in here," Fury said nervous. It would be a lot easier if he knew the fillies name, but he wasn't up to date on all of Dash's friends.

"Well, I don't know if she is here right now, maybe I should go and ask Applejack where..." The Filly started, but the sound of Scootaloo's voice stopped her and made her cringe.

"Fury, what are you doing here?" The young mare's voice came from behind Applebloom. "Applebloom, this is Rainbow Dash's stallion friend, Fury. Where is Rainbow Dash anyway?"

"Dash is still in Cloudsdale, she sent me to pick you up. You are going to go with us on a little trip we are taking," Fury said to the orange Pegasus.

"Really, wait, why didn't Rainbow Dash come here and get me herself?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well we had a little argument this morning and needed to be apart for a little bit," Fury said. He wasn't going to go into detail with the young mare, even if she was basically Dash's sister. "If you have anything to get before we leave, better get it now," Fury said as he turned to walk away. "I will be over by Big Mac when you are ready to leave," he said as he walked down the ramp.

"I, I don't have anything to take, so I am ready to leave when you are," Scootaloo said as she followed him down the ramp to the ground.

"Do you need a lift or are you able to fly?" Fury asked Scootaloo honestly. The last time he had seen her, she had been a young filly and was unable to fly.

Scootaloo's cheeks blushed and she looked Fury directly in the eyes. "Yes I can fly! after you left her I trained for six months until I flew across ponyville!" she growled.

"My bad Scootaloo, it is just the last time I saw you, you were unable to fly," Fury said apologetically.

"It's alright, now let's get going, I can't wait to see Rainbow Dash again, it's been like six months since I seen her!" Scootaloo said as she lept into the air. Her wings opened up and she left Fury sitting on the ground in dust and orange feathers. He spit out a feather that had found it's way into his mouth and took off after her.

They arrived in Cloudsdale about an hour later and Scootaloo was wide eyed, taking in the sights of the city in the sky. He guided her to the bakery where Dash was staring out the front window with a grin so wide he thought it would break the world around her. The two walked in the front door of the bakery and Dash lept at Fury and knocked him to the ground, covering him with Kisses. "I am so sorry for this morning Fury. I over reacted and should of thought it through, but, you know how I am!" She half said, half wept to Fury.

He smiled and returned one of her many kisses. "I am glad that you calmed down Dash, I thought I might of lost you this morning," he said through a single tear that ran down his cheek.

"I will never leave you Fury, not for the sun nor moon," Dash said, returning to her usual tough state, seeing that Scootaloo was watching. "And hello Scoots, how are you squirt?" She said to the orange Pegasus.

"I'm fine Rainbow Dash, but what are we doing in Cloudsdale, I thought you said you hated it here," Scootaloo said, eyeing the décor of the café. "Gee, someone has a bigger collection of stuff on you than I do!" she said in a non creepy way.

"Scoots, I want you to meet Firefly, she's my mom and this is her café," Dash said proudly. "And now she is your mom too."

Words couldn't describe the look of joy on Scootaloo's face when Dash told her she had a mother now, and a family. "My own mother?" Scoots squeaked out.

"Yep, she is all yours squirt," Dash said with a look of pride.

Scootaloo lept into the pink mare's hooves and gave her a Pinkie Pie like hug, nearly crushing the Pegasus. "My Very own mom, and my sister and brother in law!" she said through tears of joy.

"This mother..... needs to breathe..." Firefly said through huffed breaths.

"Oh, sorry mom," Scootaloo said excitedly and released Firefly from her embrace.

"Ok, now that this is out of the way, who is ready to decorate the café for the party tonight?" Firefly said, eyeing Scoots.

Scoots jumped around and hollered "ME, ME, OH, OH PICK ME!!!" Firefly made a face hoof before choosing Scootaloo. She then motioned with her eyes for Fury and Rainbow to get out of there and talk it out.

The two pegasi walked up the stairs and into Dash's bedroom, in which Fury couldn't help but laugh at the surroundings again, which made Dash blush a little and roll her eyes. She motioned for him to set down with her on the bed, in which he did, and then began to ask her questions. "Alright Fury, tell me what all you have been keeping from me these last couple months?" She asked seriously.

"Alright Dash, you deserve to know<" Fury began. "I fought a god from before time and died and came back to life, Lost my powers and set out on a journey with you."

"OOOKay, now with more details," Dash said, the slightest bit of agitation in her voice.

"Alright, so you know about me and Twilight working together, but you don't know against who, but it is a story for another time. I know what you really want to know is why I have magic, but no horn. The answer to that question is I didn't let my horn completely disappear. you see," Fury said, revealing a small bump on his forehead. "That is what is left of my horn, and all the magic I have is kept there, which is only sending and receiving magic spells, that's it. No teleportation, no levitation and no complex spells," Fury said as he watched Dash's Face begin to puzzle.

"So, just mailing spells then?" Dash said.

"Yes dear, and if you are wondering, I have only sent letters to Luna, describing my meeting of Firefly. I only plan on using it when we need it Dash," he said, watching her face relax back.

"Ok, now what about this other story. I want to hear about it," Dash said over excitedly.

"I think it would be better told around a campfire or something and besides, your friends will be arriving anytime now," Fury said, hoping Dash would buy it and drop the topic, as he really didn't want to talk about it just yet.

A large bang was heard follow by a laugh that could only be described as Pinkie Pie. "They're here, come on Fury, let's get down there!" Dash said overjoyed as she bolted out of the door down the stairs.

Fury got off the bed slowly before sighing, though that Pinkie was annoying, she knew when to make an entrance. He walked down the stairs to find the café full of ponies. Dash's five friends had showed up, along with Big mac and his sister, why couldn't he remember her name, it wasn't like he and Dash weren't over there every weekend playing games and visiting. There was some of the wonderbolts, or former wonderbolts that had flew with Rainbow. Then there was the two sisters, his two sisters. They had happily made themselves apart of the games, Celestia had even began a game of pin the tail on the pony. She had changed since returning from the Beyond, but he guessed dying did that to a pony, made them realize what life was really all about. It wasn't about the bits or the kingdom or even the name you made, but the ponies that you spent your limited and precious time with, and how you spent it with them. He himself had changed since he had entered the afterlife not once, but a couple of times. He had lightened up about time, and had even found a sense of humor inside himself. He had also learned what it truly meant to be in love, When you weren't basically a god, you saw the world differently. He walked out into the café and enjoyed the festivities for the evening, they would begin their journey for the Great falls eventually, but for now, he was going to live a little.

Life and Death

Fury awoke to the bed he was sleeping on bouncing around. He opened his eyes to a squint to see an orange Pegasus jumping up and down on the bed. He tried to roll over, but Scootaloo seen him and pounced on him.

"WAKE UP, WAKE UP!!" Scootaloo screamed. Fury grumpily rolled over and sat up.

"Your as bad as Dash is Scoots," Fury said as he rose from the bed, and fell to the floor. He opened his eyes annoyed and rose up to all four legs. "Do you know what time it is since you are full of energy?" he asked the orange mare.

"Yea, it's about five o'clock!" Scoots said happily and excited.

"FIVE O'CLOCK, WHY?!" Fury said loudly. This had apparently been heard by the other Pegasus in the room, who rose from bed and looked at the other two with a look that could kill.

"WHY IN CELESTIA'S NAME ARE YOU TWO ARGUING AT FIVE IN THE MORNING!!!" Dash yelled at the top of her lungs. The two pegasi jumped at the noise and shut up.

"Sorry Dash, but SOMEPONY is feeling their oats this morning and thought that she would wake us all up," Fury said apologetically.

"Why are you so excited Scoots?" Dash asked, a little less aggravated.

"What do you mean Rainbow Dash, you said we were getting up early so we could get an early start for Manehatten?" Scootaloo said confused and a little sad.

"Scoots, we are going to leave for Manehatten, but first we all need to wake up and get breakfast," Dash said coolly. The young mare hung her head and walked outside the bedroom and slowly walked down the stairs. The sound of Firefly's voice resounded from the door and Scoots' explaining.

Fury began to walk out of the bedroom, but was greeted by a popping noise and suddenly there was a letter looking him straight in the face. The scroll had the royal seal of the Royal sisters, a half sun and half moon. He immediately opened the scroll as Dash got off the bed to see what had stopped him in his tracks. The letter looked very important.

Dearest Brother
I come to you with very sad news. I was able to find and retrieve Princess Flurry Heart. She was found in the dimension that held Kaorn by me when I checked my banishment records. She is alive, but barely. She is here at the castle with us, but I fear she is not long for this world. I know that you are busy getting ready for your trip, but your presence would be greatly appreciated.

Yours Truly,

Princess Celestia

Fury dropped the scroll as his body began to quake. The baby had survived. In some corner of the soul that contained the darkest being that ever lived, there was a light of good, and they extinguished it.

"What is it Fury?" Dash asked concerned, she had never seen him lock up like this. "What does the letter say?" she asked again. Fury blinked again before returning to his original state.

"Princess Cadence's baby, is alive," Fury said slowly, almost inaudibly.

"What, Flurry Hearts alive?!" Dash yelled, eager to hear more.

"And she is going to die," Fury said slowly again. At the sound of death, Dash pinned her ears back and cringed.

"Why?" She finally asked.

"Evidently she finally used all of her magic to sustain herself before Celestia found her", Fury answered, a small tear sluggishly making it's way down his clenched cheek before dropping down to the cloud floor, where it added to the letter laying there.

"They can heal her, can't they?" Dash asked slowly. "CAN'T THEY!?!" she yelled.

"I don't know dash......, I....., don't ....... know..." Fury said before he started to cry quietly. Dash closed the door and moved close to Fury.

"Is that all that is bothering you, I know Cadence was family, but..." Dash started.

"There was good in him, and we killed him," Fury said through tears.

"Who Fury?" Dash asked. She was beginning to get scared, she had never seen him like this.

"Kaorn, there was good in him, and we killed him for it!" Fury sobbed.

"No Fury, it can't be, he destroyed equestria and butchered thousands, how could he be good?" Dash asked, trying to be reasonable.

"He spared her, why not kill her and destroy the last artificial alicorn. There was good in him and we destroyed him!" he sobbed louder.

"Fury," Dash said, now crying herself, "You did what you thought was right, and you saved us from him," she said, trying to calm him down.

"Twilight saved us Dash, I failed to protect you, I failed all of you," Fury said.

Dash grabbed Fury by the shoulders and stared him in the eyes. "Look at me Fury. You did what you could. Stop this, you're beginning to scare me!" Dash said angrily, though her face was full of fear.

Fury regained his composure and looked to Dash, who began to smile a little. "Alright Dash, you're right. Let's get to the Castle," Fury said as he stood shakily to his hooves.

"I'll tell mom to keep an eye on scoots," Dash said as walked out of the bedroom and walked down the stairs to break the news to Firefly.

Fury walked down the stairs where he was greeted by Firefly with a smile and a hug. She pulled him close and whispered in his ear. "I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope you and the princesses find peace in this time of pain."

"Thank you for everything Firefly. one day I hope to repay you for your kindness," Fury whispered back.

"No need Fury, seeing my daughter smile is all the payment I need," she said calmly and fulfilled.

Fury and Dash walked out of the café and took off from the street, leaving Scootaloo waiving from the window, teary eyed. "Where are they going Firefly?" Scootaloo asked.

"I told you that you can call me mom, and they went somewhere important. Something you don't need to see yet," Firefly said as she walked into the kitchen to start their breakfast.

They flew fast and high, above the clouds towards Canterlot, not making any stops along the way. They arrived at the castle around seven am. Princess Celestia was out on the lower balcony using her magic to call out the sun from it's slumber. They landed on the balcony as she finished the spell, and the sun was on it's way up to light up the day. She looked at them with a face of sadness and fear. "Welcome brother, and hello Rainbow Dash. The others are in the medical wing," Celestia said as the three ponies walked down a hallway into the wing. They found Princess Luna and Twilight, along with Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy gathered around a bed. When Pinkie Pie saw them, her usual over excited and hyper nature was brought down to the cruel and cold world they called home.

"Hi Rainbow dash, how ya doin," Pinkie said, nearly in tears.

They all gathered around the bed where there laid a small filly, pure white coat and a two toned pink and white mane laying in the bed. Though she was trapped in the dimension without the hoof of time, she had still aged. Her body was nothing but skin and bone and her horn was skinny, almost like it was sucked dry.

"It is unlikely she will last the last the day, she hasn't ate or drank anything since I brought her out of there," Celestia said, with a lot of pain and sadness in her voice.

Fury placed a hoof on the young filly's head, and spoke softly. "Hello...., Flurry Heart?" The filly opened her eyes a little, and eyed the ponies in the room before closing them again. "Flurry Heart....., can you hear me?" he asked softly. She opened her eyes again and nodded. Fury took some water from the stand and tried to give them to her. She refused and let out a word that sounded like dead. Fury stopped and looked over to Dash. "Dash, come over here, I think you can get her to eat and drink," he said to the cyan Pegasus. She looked over to Fury and walked over slowly to him.

"How am I supposed to help her Fury, wouldn't Twi or Fluttershy be better for it?" Dash asked.

"I believe you will be the best one Dash, just trust me," Fury said as he gave her the water.

"Alright Fury," Dash said as she took the water and stood next to Flurry Heart. "Hello sweetheart," dash started as Flurry's eyes opened back up. "You look so thirsty, can I get you to drink a little bit of water?" She asked sweetly. Flurry nodded and opened her mouth. Dash tipped the bowl up a little and let the water pass into the filly's mouth. She swallowed and drank the rest of the bowl.

Celestia pulled Fury aside to one of the other beds. "Fury, how did you know that would work?" she asked.

"Dash has been changing over the past month or so, so I did an experiment," Fury said as he watched Dash feed Flurry Heart an apple. "I believe that they are motherly instincts coming in."

"Are you saying what I think you are saying?" Celestia asked quietly.

"Yes, I believe she is," Fury responded.

"When?" Celestia asked.

"Too early to know, but you will know when I do sis," Fury said.

"how can we talk of new life when one is so close to death?" Celestia asked.

"She will live sister, she will live," Fury said as he looked back to the bed. A weight seemed to lifted off of Flurry Heart, and she was now waking up. "You see Celestia, she will live. But one day we must tell her about her past, and what her future could hold," Fury said quietly as they returned to the bedside where Flurry was now fully awake.

"It seems like she learned most of our language while in the dimension,"Twilight said, looking pleased how the situation turned out.

"Fury, how did you know I would know what to do?" Dash asked.

"I didn't Dash, but you were beautiful at it," Fury said.

"If you can excuse us," on of the royal nurses said, "We would like to get the patient some rest and comfort."

The royal sisters nodded and they all walked out of the medical wing into the hallway. "Brother, we're pleased you could make it, but there is nothing else we can do here for now, so you may return to your morning," Luna said, with a bit of royalty in her voice. She and Princess Celestia walked down the hallway towards the throne room before Fury interrupted them.

"Luna, Celestia, please write me when she is strong enough to be on her own," Fury said.

"But what about the Great Falls?" Dash asked.

"We'll get there Dash, but right now is more important. Once Flurry Heart is able to be off of life support, we will leave for Manehatten and the Great Falls," Fury said to the blue Pegasus. She seemed bothered by the answer, but hid it well. "Let's get moving and grab scoots before coming back here," he said as they took off from the balcony of the castle. They flew to Cloudsdale with a slower pace, without the rush for getting there. They arrived at the café later that morning, to find Firefly and Scootaloo in the kitchen.

"I swear that mom is always cooking something when there are ponies around," Dash said as they walked into the café doors.

At the sound of the doors opening, Scootaloo came flying through the kitchen doors and straight at Dash. "Hi sister, are we ready to go to Manehatten?!" Scoots half said, half yelled.

"Not quite Scoots, but we do need to leave here," Dash said as she hugged her sister.

"Why hello again, how did it go?" Firefly asked a little nervously as she walked out of the kitchen.

"The morning went better than expected, and we need to talk to you before we leave Firefly," Fury said to the pink Pegasus as she mad her way through the café to the booth that they had set down at. They spent most of the morning talking about what had occurred at the castle.

"So the baby is alive and well. That's good, and now what was the other thing you wanted to tell me?" Firefly asked Fury, who began to scratch his mane.

"So, me and Dash have decided that we are going to exchange our vows," Fury said slightly nervous.

"And you decided this when you went to the castle this morning?" Firefly asked, shocked by the news.

"What, oh no no no, I proposed to her a couple of days at the spring take off," Fury answered, embarrassed. Firefly raised an eyebrow at Dash, who went red and shrank behind Fury's back.

"Oh Rainbow Dash, when were you going to tell me this?" Firefly asked, peering over Fury's back at the crimson faced Pegasus.

"I was going to tell you mom, I swear, but then all of this happened and it got pushed back to the back of my mind," Dash squeaked out, trying to avoid her mother's piercing death like gaze.

Firefly held her gaze for a moment longer before turning around and walking back into the kitchen. "Well then see you later Fury Flight, it was truly a pleasure meeting you, and as for you young lady," Firefly said to Scootaloo, "Have a fun time wherever they are going," she said to the orange Pegasus, who smiled and hugged Firefly. She graciously accepted the hug and then continued on her course to the kitchen.

"Bye mom," Dash whispered as they walked through the front door to the outside world. They walked into the middle of the street before taking off and flying towards Canterlot. "Scoots, we're going to stay at the castle for a few days until Princess Flurry Heart wakes up and is strong enough to talk to Fury," Dash explained as they flew towards the capital city.

"Then are we going to the Great Falls?" Scootaloo asked.

"You better believe it Scoots," Dash said as they glided through the air.

Fury's mind had went blank as he flew, only focusing on what he would do when he landed. "Fury........., Fury..........., Hello, anybody there................, FURY FLIGHT!" Dash yelled, getting Fury's attention.

"What, yes Dash, what is it," Fury answered, startled by the sudden noise.

"You nearly passed the castle," Dash said, starting to giggle.

"Oh, sorry, my mind was elsewhere," Fury answered, still a little twitchy. They drifted down to the balcony of the castle. Upon landing, Scootaloo took off at a full run down the hallway.

"Scoots, what's the hurry!?" Dash said walking beside Fury.

"Sorry Rainbow Dash, but I am starving. I am going to the kitchen to get me a hayburger!" Scoots said, turning just long enough to talk before continuing her run to the kitchen, if she could find it.

Fury began to giggle and Dash gave him a dirty look, "What's so funny?" she asked heatedly.

"Are you sure she isn't related to you by blood Dash, you two act the same," Fury said, unable to hold back the laughs in his belly.

"Oh haha, very funny!" Dash said sarcastically, before walking away towards Scootaloo. "Hold on Scoots, the kitchen's this way!" Dash yelled, pointing with a wing towards the other direction. Fury smiled and turned to walk towards the Throne room. He passed a brown earth pony, and heard him speak to him.

"Fury Flight, is that truly you?" the earth pony asked.

Fury knew that voice, but not the pony it was coming from. The pony should of had a afro of curly black mane, but this pony had a well combed brown mane. He wore a bowtie, instead of having a tie. "Do I know you sir?" he asked.

"It is me Fury, it's me the Doctor," The pony introduced himself.

"The Doctor, it is impossible, the last time I saw you was about a thousand plus years ago, how are you alive?" Fury asked the brown earth pony.

"Well the last time we didn't talk enough to learn of my secret. I am a time lord, and therefore I can live just as long as you can, but with a catch. I must change every once in a while. But enough about me, how have you been these long years?" The Doctor asked.

"Well, you know, saving the world and such. Those days are behind me however, as I am permanently a Pegasus. I have a family now...." Fury said, but stopped after saying family. The Doctor looked at Fury intrigued and interested, but realized he was doing something, and decided it was time to leave.

"Well Fury Flight, it was a pleasure meeting you again, but I need to find Derpy and get to Ponyville, alonzee," The Doctor said as he walked down the hallway, looking for something. He continued down the hallway where he was greeted by a grey mare with blonde hair and a bubbly cutie mark.

"Hello sir, Have you seen the Doctor, oh wait, have you seen my, my?" she asked awkwardly.

"He went that away, Derpy is it? He seemed to be searching for you," Fury said as the mare ran down the Hallway, looking for the Doctor. Fury shook his head before continuing down the hallway, who else was going to bump into him? He made it to the Throne room without running into anyone else. He opened the doors to find Princess Luna sitting on her throne, sleeping softly. He tip toed down the carpet that ran to the thrones until he was standing in front of her. She inhaled and let out a small wheeze, in which he giggled softly and took a hoof and tickled her nose. at first she just crumpled up her nose, and he pulled back, and she relaxed and went back to her original position. He reached over again and tickled her nose again, this time she brought up her hoof and smacked her nose hard. The blow rocked her and knocked her off her seat. Luna's eyes shot open as she hit the floor.

"What is going on, why are we on the floor? Fury, what are you doing here!?" Luna asked, looking up at him from the floor beside the throne.

"Hello Luna, did we have a nice nap?" Fury asked as he helped his sister up off the floor.

"we did until we were awoken suddenly!" Luna said, standing up with her brother's help. "Why are you here brother?" she asked when she was standing.

"I am here until Flurry Heart is strong enough to talk, then we are leaving for Manehatten," Fury said. He and Luna walked out of the Throne room and walked down the hallway.

"Brother, we have been thinking that you need to write a journal or a log. We mean you are one of the smartest ponies and your knowledge is not in any book, maybe it would be time to write one," Luna said seriously.

"And who would want any of the knowledge in this head?" Fury asked Luna.

"I know three ponies right off the bat, three ponies that have a lot of pull in the world," Luna said, with a bit of sass in her voice.

"Ok sis, but what would I write about?" Fury asked.

"Everything Fury, your experiences, your thoughts, your life," Luna said, excited that he had considered it.

"Alright Luna, But for now I am going to the medical wing to wing see Flurry Heart," Fury stated as he walked down the hallway towards the wing.

"Then we will accompany you, her well being is our only priority right now," Luna answered as she followed him to the wing.

When they entered the medical wing, Flurry Heart was awake and munching on a carrot. She looked at the two ponies entering once before returning to her meal. Fury and Luna walked up to the bed, both taking a side, at this, Flurry stopped her carrot munching and spoke to them. "Hello....., Can I help you?" she asked rudely.

"Flurry heart, I have some bad news for you," Fury began.

"I know, my parents are dead, the other pony told me a little while ago," Flurry said, making a solemn face.

"Celestia did WHAT! what else did she tell you?!" Fury asked, outraged. How could she go behind his back like that.

"What, is Celestia the blue one with a purple and whitish mane?" Flurry heart asked.

"N..., No......, That would be............................, your...................., Mother, Princess Cadence, but that can't be right," Fury replied. He had seen her decapitated head on the balcony of the crystal empire, how could she be here and, wait. "Did she stay long, this pony?" he asked Flurry.

"What, no, and she is WHO!?" Flurry asked loudly.

"Yes Flurry, she is your mother, or rather was your mother. She was killed by Kaorn, a great alicorn and a god by rights," Fury explained. He then went into detail about her story and how she got where she was today. After he explained this, Flurry looked horrified, but relieved to hear it at the same time.

"So your saying I am a ruler of a fallen kingdom?" Flurry finally asked after a few moments of silence.

"Yes Flurry, The empire is no more, and the heart that protected it is gone," Fury said solemnly.

"What do I do now then?" Flurry asked hopelessly.

"You can stay here and learn the ways of our culture, so you can one day take over for my sisters," Fury said softly. Flurry smiled and nodded, now having a purpose in life to look forward to. Fury walked out of the wing and then towards his old room. He was going to start his journal today, and when he finished it, place it in the great library for all to read and learn from. He sat down at his desk and wrote his first entry.

Fury's journal- Entry one "Life and Death"

Life and Death, two sides of the same coin, we can't have one without the other. Without life, the universe would be cold and dead, and without Death, life would suffer on and on, never to know the sweet embrace of Death's kiss. Though we all want life, we all must travel down the road of death and crossover into the Great Beyond and start our journey to the next life./i]

Fury closed the small journal and placed it in a magical storage bin he could take from anywhere. He then walked out and went to the kitchen, to see what kind of trouble that Dash and Scootaloo had got into.

The Great Falls, Finally

View Online

Fury woke up early the next morning and had a small breakfast of oatmeal and eggs waiting for Dash and Scootaloo when they woke up.

"Your up early Fury", Dash yawned as she rolled off the bed. She took a moment to stretch out her legs and wings, then set to preening her feathers. As Dash preened, Fury brought over her breakfast clumsily and set it on the bed stand beside her. "Oo, I even get eggs this time", Dash said, looking from behind her feathers. A banging commenced on the door as Scootaloo knocked over and over.

"Alright Scootaloo, before you wake Celestia up early, and trust me, you don't want that", Fury said as he laughed. He thought of the time he had made that mistake, she had risen the sun to full noon at dawn. The sun scorched the land and they had to water the land for weeks to get anything to grow again.

"ARE WE FINALLY GOING TODAY!!", Scootaloo shouted at the top of her lungs. Dash's mane stood up on end and all of her feathers ruffled out of place.

"Scootaloo, there is no reason to shout this early in the morning", Dash said grumpily.

"Oh, right, sorry Rainbow Dash", Scootaloo said through giggles.

"Yes Scoots, we're leaving today for the Great Falls", Fury said as he brought out a bowl of oatmeal and an egg to the orange Pegasus.

"Oh yummy, oatmeal, my favorite", Scootaloo said loudly as she dove head first into her bowl.

"Aren't you going to eat dear?", Dash asked as she inhaled her egg.

"I already ate Dash, got tired of waiting for you two to get up", Fury said smiling, and then making a wink. She made a stink eye towards him before returning to her breakfast. Fury walked out into the hallway and looked out one of the many stained glass windows. Celestia was up, as the first rays of the sun made their way over the horizon. The sun then made it's grand entrance, rising over the land like a majestic eagle. His sunrises had always been quick and sloppy, like the sun was just tired of it and just appeared. Celestia put her heart and soul into each and every sunrise.

After the other two had finished their breakfast, they all walked down the hallway towards the balcony. Celestia was returning from there and had started her daily morning routine. She had three ponies fallowing her, one had a list of ponies waiting to have and audience with her, then another had a list of bills that needed to be either signed into law or rejected. The last pony had a cup of latte held in her magic.

Celestia stopped and bid her brother goodbye. "Hello Fury, good luck on your trip and for my sake, don't start a war when you get there", she said kindly, but sternly.

Fury looked taken aback, "My dear sister, when have I ever...", he started, but Celestia cut him off.

"Don't even start, I am still sorting out the last mess that you and Twilight started", Celestia warned.

"Ok, ok, but not even a small battle?", Fury asked quickly.

"Just get out of here Fury, I don't want to see you here unless it's on a postcard", Celestia said, giving Fury a furious look.

"Why, what'cha gonna do about it", Fury egged. "Catch the castle on fire again?".

"No Fury, but I'll Catch you on fire!!!", Celestia yelled as they both ran down the hallway. Celestia's horn lit up and from it came a ball of fire, which missed their targets horribly.

"Maybe I should stay and teach you how to aim", Fury laughed, now taking to the air.

"FURY, JUST GET OUT OF HERE!!!", Celestia screamed as she fired another fireball at Fury, nearly hitting him.

"Alright, but you'd better take lessons from Luna, at least she can hit the broadside unh...", Fury said before he was frozen in place. He fell to the ground and landed on his side.

"Would you two just hug and get it over with", said a very tired and grumpy Luna.

"I I'mm knda stck", Came Fury's voice through clenched teeth.

"Oh, sorry, here you go", Luna said as she unfroze Fury's head.

"Ok, ok, I'm sorry sis, I didn't mean to get you in a fiery rage that took out half the hallway", Fury said apologetically, grumpily apologetically. Luna released Fury from the spell. He stood up and locked eyes with Celestia before embracing her. "Have a good day sister", Fury said softly as he hugged her.

"I will brother, and have a nice trip", Celestia whispered back.

The two separated and went their separate ways. Fury walked back over to the end of the hallway where Dash waited impatiently.

"Are you two done yet?", she asked, "We need to get moving".

"Yes Dash, we can get moving now", Fury said, walking out onto the balcony. The three pegasi took of and headed east towards Manehatten, and then the agony known as Scootaloo began.

Not even ten minutes into the trip, Scoots started in. "Hey Rainbow Dash, I have to pee", she said impatiently.

"We literally just left the castle Scoots", Dash said, irritated.

"But I didn't have to go then", Scoots replied.

"Alright, alright, there's a cloud over there, so do your business, we'll wait up", Dash said, her and Fury stopping a few clouds ahead.

A few moments passed before Scootaloo returned. "Alright, I'm ready", Scoots shouted as she caught up. Then came the next painful question. "Are we there yet?".

"No Scoots, we're not", Fury answered.

"Are we there now?", She asked after a few minutes.

"No Scoots, not yet", Fury said again, with anger starting to grow in his voice.

"When are we going to get there?", Scoots asked again.

"With luck, we'll reach Manehatten by this evening, and the falls by tonight", Fury snapped.

"Oh", she said, then turned her attention to Dash. "Hey Rainbow Dash, can we hear one of your wonderbolt stories?", she asked with stars in her eyes.

"You've already heard all of my wonderbolt stories", Dash said, trying to get out of storytelling.

"Maybe Fury hasn't had one though?", she said again, determined to hear one of her stories.

"Fury knows all of my stories by heart", Dash said, Fury nodded in agreement.

"Maybe we could hear one of your stories then Fury Flight?", Scoots asked.

"Yea, we could hear one of your stories", Dash said, looking straight at Fury. "Like how you and Celestia both came back from the dead", Dash said, raising her eyebrows up and down.

"Alright Dash, I'll tell you, but under one condition", Fury said, flying close to Dash.

"What is it", Dash asked.

"Give me the sweetest kiss you can", Fury said as he locked lips with the Pegasus, who froze up for a second, falling a few feet before regaining her flight.

"Fury", she managed to say after regaining her flight, "Not while we're flying", she half scorned, half squeaked.

"What, I would of caught you", Fury said, before sneaking another peck to Dash's cheek. Dash blushed a little before looking back to Fury.

"Alright, you had your fun, now tell us the story", Dash said, still a little blushed.

Over the next five hours, Fury told the story from his perspective of the recent scandal with Thanatos, in which Scootaloo only asked twenty times when the story would end, and only ten times if she could go to the restroom. They finally arrived at what used to be Manehatten around three in the afternoon.

The once bustling city was now a ghost town, there were buildings toppled while some stood. The river had reclaimed some of the city and washed away the remnants of anything of it's former barriers. The three landed on a hill that overlooked the city.

"What happened to this place, it used to be so beautiful?", Dash asked as the looked upon the ruins.

"The war spared no city, this one included. Though not as destroyed as Ponyville, Manehatten still saw it's fair share of destruction", Fury answered, looking upon the city.

"No......, No......., No, it can't be. He was supposed to be here", Scootaloo cried as she took off towards the city.

"Scootaloo, what is it?", Fury called out to Scootaloo, but Rainbow placed her hoof on his shoulder.

"Let her go Fury, she needs to be alone right now", Dash said, with a tint of sadness in her voice.

"Why, what's wrong?", Fury asked, now intrigued by Scootaloo's behavior.

"One day when I was visiting Scoots at the orphanage, I asked if they knew where either of her parents were", Dash started. "They said that the only living relative was her father, Rip Claw, and he was one of the Honor guards in Manehatten, but they could never reach him", she finished. "They told her once, and she believed that he would one day come and get her, but he never did".

Rip Claw, where had he heard that before. Fury thought back to the war that they had fought against Kaorn, well afterwards, collecting and burying the dead. Rip Claw, That was it. "I think I may have found Rip Claw Dash", Fury said after a moment.

"If you found him, then he's dead, isn't he?", Dash asked slowly.

"Yes Dash, he is no more, but if memory serves me, he died a honorable death, defending a group of foals from Kaorn's troops", Fury said.

"That wouldn't matter to Scoots, as long as he didn't come for her, it was just another excuse", Dash said.

"Dash, shut up", Fury snapped.

"What, why?", Dash replied, hurt.

"You don't know what it was like, looking for him, only to find him long gone", Fury said, tears starting to fall from his cheeks.

"Are we still talking about Rip Claw?", Dash asked, confused.

"I searched for him, for years and years, only to find his..........., gravestone....., next to his mother's", Fury said, unable to stop the tears and memories flooding his mind.

"Ok Fury, Who are you talking about", Dash asked, now worried about Fury.

"He was...., He was....., He was, my.....son", Fury said, slowly.

"WOAH, you already had a son!", Dash snapped, "I thought I was your only mare?", she said slowly and sadly.

"What, Dash, I am over three thousand years old, my stallion urges would of gotten the best of me at least once, but this was different. We were best friends, and then, better than friends", Fury started. "We became lovers after the great war with Kaorn, and she became with child shortly before the Discord war. We both fought that serpent, but she became heavy with foal and had to go into hiding, so I fought on. Shortly after the foal was born, he found and kidnapped her. He then found me and made me watch as he killed them all, slowly", Fury said, now beginning to relive his nightmare.

"Fury, Fury, stay with me, stay with me", Dash yelled, shaking Fury, who had now fallen over, his eyes rolling back into his skull.

Fury's eyes slowly made their way back into their normal position. Fury slowly closed and opened them again, now looking straight into Dash's soul. "I don't want the Past to repeat itself Dash", Fury said as tears streamed down his face now, making small puddles on the ground.

"It won't Fury, It won't, I will always be here for you, and I am the element of loyalty, so you know I will", Dash said, holding Fury in her hooves. Fury brought his hooves around her and held her close. they held each other for a few moments before Fury pulled away.

"I am so sorry Dash, I didn't want to let that side out of me, it was a darker time and I was a different pony. Can you ever forgive me?", Fury asked the cyan Pegasus.

"Are you kidding me?", Dash asked, "Of course I do, we will never be apart Fury, but I do want to know the name of the pony you loved and your son's name", Dash said, running her hoof through his mane slowly. "I mean, that was important to you, so it is important to me, and maybe we could visit and pay our respects to them", Dash said softly.

"Alright Dash, I'll tell you. her name was Hurricane, but I called her Huri, and as for my son's name, he was named Star Shadow", Fury said slowly.

"Star Shadow, that's a beautiful name, and Hurricane, as in Commander Hurricane?", Dash asked.

"Yes Dash, as in Commander Hurricane, leader of the Pegasi nations after the war", Fury answered, "But as usual, history tells that she was a Pegasus, and not an alicorn", Fury said, starting to smile.

"What was she like, was she like the legends said?", Dash asked.

"What, resilient, never giving up, and a temper a mile wide. Yep, that summed up commander Hurricane pretty well", Fury said. "But Huri was a different pony before the war changed us both. She was loving, caring, still resilient, and had a love for the air that couldn't be quenched", he said, "But after all, she was the daughter of the god of the air, so what do you expect", he finished.

"Hey guys, what'cha doing over here", Came the calmed voice of Scootaloo.

"Oh, hey Scoots, we were just about to go looking for you", Dash said, "We're gonna go ahead and get moving towards the falls", Dash said.

"Oh, ok, but first, I want you guys to see something", Scoots said, taking off towards the city. The two pegasi followed her down faded streets and toppled buildings. They came to a spot, where there had apparently been a fight, as there were marks that could only be described as sword marks edged deep into the faded concrete. There was a small parchment, buried under a small stone. "I found this a little bit ago, and it has my name in it", Scoots said as she open and read the letter.

To whomever reads this,
Know that Manehatten is lost, but we fought on to the last breath. My stallions have been holding up, but it is just a matter of time now. When somepony finds my body, please find and tell my daughter, Scootaloo, that by giving my life today, I upheld her mother's last wish of by making this world as safe as I could for her, even though I never got the chance to meet the orange foal myself. Make sure to tell her that her father loved her with all his heart, but fate had drawn it's cards and played it's cruel hand upon us. I wish I could have seen her only once, so that she knew she had a father that loved her, but I am here, holding off the very forces of Tartarus itself. I hope she can only understand my predicament,
Rip Claw, captain of the Manehatten Tartarus honor guard

"He did love me Rainbow Dash, he just wasn't able to get to me", Scoots said, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Come here Scoots, it's ok", Dash said, taking the orange mare in her hooves, hugging her tight. "I'll bet he's in the Beyond right now, looking down on you with a proud Smile, because his daughter has become a great mare, and a great pony, and has a family that loves her just as much as he did", she said, as she released Scootaloo from her grasp.

"Thanks Rainbow Dash, I am feeling a whole lot better", Scoots said as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

The three pegasi looked around the city for a little while before finding the perfect gift for the hero, a bouquet of wildflowers. They placed the Flowers down upon the stone in which they found the scroll and paid their respects to the fallen soldier. Then three then left the ground and flew north, towards the Great falls, and the next part of their adventure.

"Hahahahaha haaa", The voice resounded from the dungeon of Discordia, the lair and fortress of Discord and his army. The room was dark and only lit by a single light that was too small to light the room, but light enough to show Five ponies, strapped down to their own separate chairs. Fury Flight opened his eyes to see the room, and was greeted by the voice of Discord himself. "Why hello Fury Flight, how nice of you Join us. We were just talking you", Discord played as he appeared beside Fury.

"What have you done to us Discord", Fury said, feeling himself strapped down.

"Oh, nothing yet Fury Flight, but now that you are awake, the fun can begin", Discord played. He then appeared with a device that held Fury's eyes open forcefully. "I wouldn't want you to miss out on the fun", Discord said as he placed the device onto fury's head.

"No, what are you doing", Fury said as the device opened his eyes. Then the bags that covered the heads of the five others were taken off, and much to Fury's surprise, they were all blindfolded. they were his friends, the original bearers and creators of the Elements of harmony.

"Well, now you get to choose Fury flight, which would you like to see die first?", Discord Said as he revealed his hand to the five.

"No", Fury said trying to look away, but the device held his head in place.

Discord looked onto the five and then chose the one on the right. His name was Grog, he was the son of Palladia. He had a brown coat with a black mane. He was the creator of the element of Honesty. Discord ran his eagle claw lightly beside Grog's head, before scratching him. Discord then open his claw to reveal long talons, in which he slowly gouged out a piece of Grog's face. He screamed and thrashed as Discord worked. Fury thrashed as he watched, trying to call his magic, but was unable to. He seen that he was wearing a collar that was stopping his magic. The lightning of his magic sparked in his eyes as watched Discord torture Grog until the point he was unable to move. Discord then took his claw and plunged it deep into Grog's chest, pulling out his heart. Grog looked for one second before faltering and died. Discord then crushed the heart and turned back to Fury. "Now one down, four to go, which one should I choose next?", Discord asked playingly.

"No, make it stop", Fury said as Discord walked over to the next pony in line.

"Now what do we have here?", Discord said as he looked to the next pony. He took his claw and tortured the next pony, the creator of the element of laughter, Star Shine. He had a white coat with a grey mane. He scratched here and there, taking a chunk here and there, until he practically begged Discord to kill him. All the while Fury struggled against his bonds, trying to escape and free his friends. Discord once again plunged his eagle claw into Star's chest and pulled out his heart.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", Fury yelled, struggling against his bonds, using his magic, but once again, the collar stopped his magic.

"Oh, now calm down Fury Flight, we are only half way done", Discord said before walking to the next pony in the line. Her name was Silver Tail, she was a blue mare with a silver sparkling mane. She was the daughter of Kronos and the element of generosity. He ran his tongue down her back. "Humm, you taste gooood, very goooood. In fact", Discord said as he produced a large knife and chopped off one of her legs. "I could just eat you up", he said as he took a bite out of the leg. He finished off the leg before taking more of her off. He slowly ate the rest of her. After he finished her off, he turned back to Fury Flight. "Ok Fury, three down, two to go", he said as he turned around and looked to the second to last pony, Serenity. She was the daughter of Pike and the element of kindness. She was a red mare with a flowing blue mane.

"No Discord, just kill me and let the other's live", Fury pleaded.

"Now what kind of fun is that?", Discord asked as he revealed yet again his talons. He made a small scratch here and one there, and then he stopped and would gouge out a small piece of flesh before returning to his work.

"DISCORD, LET THEM LIVE AND KILL ME INSTEAD", Fury yelled as he struggled underneath his straps. He was trying with all of his inner strength to break the collar and release his magic.

Discord then looked to Fury, and thrust his claw into Serenity's chest. He slowly moved his claw around inside of her chest and grabbed her heart, and slowly plucked it out, pulling each of the veins and arteries out, one by one. He finally removed her heart as she stopped breathing. Fury used all of his magic to break the collar, and had finally gotten a strand to break. he began to break strand after strand, after each one, his magic grew a little.

"And now we are down to one", Discord said as he crept up to Hurricane. He untied the fabric that blocked Hurricane from seeing the world around her. She opened her eyes and looked to her side to see Three of her friends dead, and a blood spot where one had been.

"This is the end Fury, Goodbye", she said as she looked him in the eye.

"NOO!!!!, DAMN IT DISCORD, RELEASE ME AND FACE ME LIKE A TRUE WARRIOR!!!", Fury yelled as he broke a few more strands off of the collar. The two lovers looked each other in the eyes as Discord began to play with Fury, mocking his claw diving into her chest. Fury now broke two and three stands at a time, all the while looking Hurricane in the eyes. Fury was down to ten stands now, and he tried to break all ten at once. Discord smiled as he drove his claw into her chest. Her eyes widened in pain as the light of life left them and she closed them one last time.

"HURRRRRIICAANNE!!!!!, NOOOOOOOO!!!!, DISCORD, YOU MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", Fury said as the final strand broke and the collar fell to the floor. Lightning flew from Fury's horn as the full flow of magic coarsed through him. He focused the lightning towards Discord, but he was too fast. He disappeared and returned in front of him.

"Ooopsie", Discord said as he turned Fury into stone.

Fury's eyes shot open. Both Dash and Scootaloo were staring at him. "What is it?", he asked.

"You were screaming and shouting about Discord and yelling No", Dash said.

"I had a nightmare, that was all", Fury said, still shuddering.

"Really?, do I look stupid Fury?", Dash asked sarcastically.

"No Dash, you don't", Fury said, getting up from the hill that they were sleeping on. They had camped about two miles from the Great Falls. "I need some time to think", he said as he took off and flew to the next hill over. Dash took off after him and landed beside him.

"What's wrong Fury, please tell me", Dash asked, trying to figure out Fury's behavior.

"My nightmare, reoccurring at every turn. I had to see them die all over again Dash, one at a time", Fury said, shaking.

"It's ok Fury, I'm here", Dash soothed as she held Fury in her hooves.

"Why must I live while they all died? Why must I continue on with this life, alone and without meaning?", Fury asked Dash, who only stared back.

"You are not alone Fury, me and Scootaloo are here, and your sisters, and Twilight. And you do have meaning, keeping us alive during the past battles, protecting your sisters from a god", Dash said, beginning to cry. "You have given me meaning, to be more than just a Wonderbolt groupie, or a fan of Daring Do. You gave me the gift of a blessed life, a family that loves me, friends that believe in me, and a future to hope for", she said, through tears running down her cheeks.

"Thank you Dash", Fury said slowly. "I don't know what to say", he said, rising from her embrace.

"You don't have to Fury, I already know", Dash said, leaning in to kiss Fury. The two held together for a moment, sharing the kiss passionately. Fury broke away from Dash and walked over to the edge of the hill.

"Dash, I wish that my old life would leave me, but without it, I wouldn't be the pony that I am today", Fury said, looking to the north, where the rushing water of the falls could be heard.

"Fury, can we do something, here and now?", Dash asked Fury seriously.

Fury turned and faced Dash, "What is it Rainbow?", he asked, returning her question.

"Give each other our worst fears, and our best strengths", Dash said, reaching out with her hoof to take Fury's. Fury held out his own hoof and they looked each other in the eyes. "My worst fear is that I will end up all alone, with nopony there for me. Now you Fury", Dash said as she confessed her fear.

"Alright Dash, my worst fear is that the past will repeat itself and I will lose you", Fury said, tightening his grip on Dash.

"My strength is you Fury, you are the wind beneath my wings and the spark to my inner fire", Dash said, kissing Fury slowly on the lips.

"Hey, you stole my strength Dash", Fury said as he began to giggle. The two then watched the night slowly fade into the morning, and were greeted by the amazing feat of the Great Falls. They weren't called great for nothing. The falls dropped down nearly two hundred feat, and on the way down, the water not only made a rainbow, but made a stair step effect as it traveled down the mountainside, into the next part of it's journey to the great Equestrian Sea at the eastern edge of Equestria.

"It's so Beautiful", Dash said, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks. The two ponies didn't even notice as Scootaloo landed beside them, and hugged them as they all watched the first rays of the sun dance off of the falling water. "Fury", Dash started. "Do you want to go for a swim?", she asked as she stretched her wings.

"Why not Dash", Fury said as he lept off the hill and flew towards the falls. Upon reaching them, he folded his wings and plunged over one hundred feet to the bottom of the falls, making a huge splash as he entered the water. Dash followed, flying low and fast until she reached the falls, where she angled her body and landed in the water in a cannonball. Scootaloo followed with a graceful dive. The three ponies swam and played in the water for an hour or so before coming out and getting ready for the next part of their journey.

"Fury, where are we going to be married at?", Dash asked after they had dried off.

"Why not at your friend's apple Farm?", Fury answered.

"I don't know how AJ would take that Fury, I mean a former ruler of equestria and a former Wonderbolt captain, there will surely be a crowd", Dash replied.

"Not if there are only a few invitations sent out", Fury added, smiling at his love.

"Ok, so when will the wedding take place?", Dash asked again, rising off the ground and hovering just beside Fury.

"How about spring, just after the planting of the fields, when life has just started to take over the farm, and it is at it's most beautiful", Fury answered.

"Ok, ok, I could totally do that, I will just have to let AJ know when we get back tomorrow", Rainbow said as she flew over to a still soaked Scootaloo.

"Yes Dash, we could do that", Fury whispered to himself. "But first, I need to send out a very important letter", he said to himself again before taking out a parchment and quill and writing the letter he feared wouldn't be delivered.

Dear Father,

I know that this breaks several of the laws that you and the others set into stone at the beginning, but I wanted to know if you or mother could attend me and Dash's wedding, or if you could even show up,

With love,

Fury Flight

Fury used all of the Magic that he possessed to send the letter to the Beyond, but the letter burst into flames and disappeared. Fury hung his head, but figured that it wasn't going to be anyhow, and returned to his morning. He and the other two had decided to leave the falls at around noon, when the sun was at it's highest. The began the long trip back towards Ponyville, where they hoped to make a home and live for a while. They had just left the Falls behind when a puff of smoke and a fiery letter stopped Fury in his tracks. They had not only received the letter, but had written back.

"What is that Fury?", Dash asked, awaiting an answer.

"A letter from..., my parents. I wrote them a little while before we left, and the letter burst into flame, so I thought it couldn't be done", Fury said as he open up the letter and read aloud the response of the Great alicorns.

Dearest Fury Flight,

Your request does indeed break several laws about the dead returning from the grave, but luckily for you, we all returned to the beyond without dying, just giving up our life force. We will be able to return to see your wedding, in fact, I look forward to seeing the mare who had the spirit to challenge a great alicorn,

Great alicorn and king of the cosmos,

Galaxo

"What, your father is coming to the wedding!?!", Dash yelled, and started to blush. The last time she met the alicorn, she had challenged him about sparing Fury's life after Kaorn was defeated.

"It sounds like the whole bunch is coming Dash, not just my father", Fury corrected. It was going to be a great wedding if he could see them all again, without the world being in eternal peril.

The ponies flew faster towards Ponyville, and their future home. Soon they would come to know the town as the place the Gods called home....

A Wedding For The Ages

View Online

It had been nearly a year since they had embarked on their first adventure to the Great Falls, and since then they had grew closer in mind and spirit. Dash and Fury were now almost inseparable, never gone for too long. After Thanatos had been defeated, Twilight had ushered in an age of peace, an age that would last for a thousand years, unknown to them. Dash had grew as they found that she was indeed pregnant, and was fast approaching the day that the young foal would meet the world.

The Wedding was set to happen at Sweet Apple acres, when the fields were starting to grow, in late may. The Apples would be blooming in the trees, starting to grow the delicious red fruit. The list was already starting to add up. There was the Elements, of course, and then the princesses and Dash's family. Then there was a few ponies from the town that had been invited, like Derpy, the mail mare, and the one they all called the Doctor. Then some of Dash's old flying team, but the real talk of the newly weds to be was whether the unnamed guests of honor, The first six and Fury's friends, would make the wedding.

Fury had sent the Invitations to them, but had not gotten any reply yet, and that had been almost a month ago. The wedding was tomorrow. Fury paced the floor worse than Twilight did before a test she didn't study for, he was worried. Tomorrow was going to be one of the best days of his life, and he wanted to share that with his family and friends, as Dash was going to. Sure, his family and friends were gods, but why should that bother him. He heard a light landing in front of the door. "Ok Dash, you can come in", he said as he paced around the room again.

The door opened slowly and the Rainbow maned Pegasus slowly thumped into the room. "How did you know it was me?", Dash asked wearily as she came to a stop in the middle of the room.

"Are you kidding Dash, I could hear you a mile away. even back before you were pregnant. You have a certain energy around you that is quite loud", Fury said as he stopped his pacing.

"They still haven't wrote back to you yet, have they?", Dash asked, setting down.

"No...., No they have not", Fury replied as he took back to his pacing. "I don't know what would keep them from writing me either, I mean it's just the Beyond", he said.

"Oh yes, the beyond, only the dimension that we go to when we leave this life, and is just as large as this world, if not bigger. Maybe they just got busy Fury, I wouldn't worry too much, besides, your making a groove in the floor", Dash said as she held out a hoof to stop Fury as he went around. "I think you have other things than your family receiving a letter to worry about. I mean our wedding is tomorrow, the biggest day of your life this century", she said, taking his hoof and hers and holding him close.

"I know dear, and then there is the baby coming. By the way, have we even came up with a name for them yet?", Fury asked as he calmed down.

"Not yet, but we need the baby to be born first", dash said as she rubbed her large belly with her hoof.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. I can't wait until their born and see the world around them", Fury said as he looked into his future wife's eyes. They had purchased a medium size cottage on the north side of Ponyville, not too far from Sweet Apple Acres.

"I think you should write tonight dear, it always puts your mind to rest", Dash said as she turned and slowly walked out of the room. "And remember to sleep tonight".

"Alright Dash", Fury said to now thin air. He turned and walked over to the oak desk in his study. it was in the basement of their cottage, where he could work in silence, or just get away from it all. he picked out the small pamphlet from his magical storage and wrote a new entry.

Fury's journal- Entry Two

As we walk down the path of life, we are met with challenges and trials that we must meet head on and best to continue. Sometimes we are met with a challenge that we cannot beat by simple means, and we are forced to take other measures. I have made choices in my life that I have regretted for centuries. I have also made choices that I know was my only choice. The past is not something we should fear, but learn from. If I have learned anything from my past, it is that you should never take the choices in front of you just because they seemed to be the best at the time, but to step away from the situation and look at it from a new angle. This is something I wished I learned earlier, much earlier in life...

End of Entry

Fury closed the pamphlet and replaced it in his magical storage before finding a place in his study to sleep. He had slept there for a few weeks now, as Dash's hormones were through the roof. One minute she was laughing and giggling, and the next she was ready to kill him, and others she was crying and said he was going to leave her. Fury closed his eyes and let sleep take him.

Fury awoke the next morning to a pounding on the door to his study. "Come on, ya wanna get up before Pinkie finds the pancakes", the voice of Applejack rang out as she pounded on the door again. "Ya don't want to get married on an empty stomach", she yelled as she swung the door open. The orange earth pony flipped on the lights, illuminating the room.

Fury opened his eyes to see Applejack standing over him with a large Bat in hoof. "What in the name of Celestia is that for!?!", Fury asked, his face going pale.

"Just so you know, Rainbow is ma friend and if you ever hurt her, well, you and old skull crusher here are gonna get to know each other real personal like", she said with the sternest face she could, bringing the bat across her other hoof for dramatic effect.

Fury gulped and nodded before the farm pony left the room. Fury rose from the bed and walked over to the closet, where his tuxedo awaited him to take the wedding by storm. It was a black silk jacket with a pure white under shirt, and he even added a lustful red rose for good luck, not that he needed it. He had won her over a long time ago, but he still got nervous doing something like this. A puff of smoke caught his eye. He looked to see a letter materialize on the desk. It was the letter he had been waiting on. He open the letter and read it to himself.

My dearest son,

We regret to inform you that we will not be able to attend the wedding, but some of the others will be able to. I cannot reveal their names, because I myself do not know, good luck and best of wishes,
Galaxo

Fury hung his head. "At least some of them will be here", he said to himself, trying to cheer himself up. A light tapping resounded on the door. "Dash, you can come in", Fury said. The door opened, but a different pony stood in the doorway.

"Hello Fury, it's been a while", The pony said.

"I know that voice", Fury said as he turned around to see Hurricane standing behind him. "Huri, I am so glad you could make it", Fury said as he hugged the blue alicorn.

"And I missed you too Fury, we all did", Huri said as she returned the hug. The room was suddenly full of alicorns, as the rest of the six appeared in the room.

"Thank you, all of you for coming today", Fury said as he looked at all of the ponies in the room, his friends. "I am so glad you could make it, but I must ask, why were my parents unable to make it here today?", he asked Hurricane.

"They said something about a meeting today Fury, I'm sure that it was very important, because they were set on coming today", Hurricane said, comforting Fury.

"Well, at least you guys are here today", Fury said, as he walked over and took the Tuxedo and went upstairs, where he got the surprise of his life.

Pinkie had indeed found the pancakes, cleaning up all of them, but the surprise was his sisters. They never came to things like this.

"Uh, hello sisters", Fury said surprised as he reached the top of the stairs. "What brings you here this early?", he asked the princesses.

"Oh, good morning sleepy head", Celestia said, looking from the table. "You actually think that we would miss this?", she asked.

"I dunno, I guess I thought you would have made the ceremony", Fury answered, as the rest of the alicorns follow him into the room. Dash made a fan girl scream as Hurricane walked into the room.

"Umm, care to introduce your friends to us Fury Flight?", Twilight asked, who sat beside Celestia at the table.

"Yes Twilight, these are my friends, and the original bearers of the Elements Of Harmony. This is Grog", Fury said, gesturing to the brown alicorn at the end. Grog waved a little and smiled. "He is the creator of the element Honesty. Then this is Star Shine, she is the creator of laughter", Fury said, pointing to Star Shine, who jumped and made a silly face. Pinkie and her began to have a contest of who could make the silliest face. "This is Silver Tail, she is like a sister to me, and the Element of Generosity", he said as he gestured to Silver, who blushed a little and waved. "This here is Serenity", Fury said, wrapping a hoof around her. Serenity tried to back out, but couldn't, so she teleported out of the way. "She is a little on the shy side, but she is the element of Kindness". He then stood next Hurricane, "And this is Hurricane, my oldest friend and the element of Loyalty", he said, taking a hoof and wrapping around her neck. At this, Dash blushed and walked over and whispered something into Fury's ear, who almost immediately let go of Hurricane.

"So you six are the reason that the Elements of Harmony exist?", Twilight asked, curious of the answer.

"It sure is my young friend", Grog said, "Without our sacrifice, the elements wouldn't exist and the world would bow to Kaorn".

"What are you talking about sugarcube, Twilight beat him fair and square with her magic", Applejack asked.

"Maybe, but Kaorn was much stronger back then. He all but destroyed the first six, and we had to fight with all of our own magic to keep him at bay", Grog answered. "It was only through the creation of the elements that we were able to produce a magic strong enough to put Kaorn away. A magic that you six have seemed to take to the next level, you may not all be alicorns, but you all have a magic to rival one".

The mane six looked starry eyed at Grog while he told the tale, and then smiled a smile bigger than ever thought possible when he told them about their own magic.

"I hate to interrupt, but we do have a wedding to go to today", Fury interrupted.

"Right, then lets get to it", Twilight said as she returned to the world here and now. Her and the other mares pushed Fury and the Stallions out as they got Rainbow ready for the upcoming wedding.

Fury and the stallions left the cottage and went to the tool shed behind the cottage. It wasn't a shed anymore, as Fury had adapted to the times and turned it into a stallion cave. Upon arriving, the other stallion's mouths dropped. Battle armor adorned one of the walls along with photos of Fury when he had played Hoofball with the Ponyville team, the Barn Burners. The pictures showed Fury playing left tackle and running back. One of them also showed the muddy hole that they called a playing field.

On the other wall was a different story entirely. It displayed pictures of him and Dash and the memories they had made. There was a few from his alicorn days, mostly taken by Dash that shown him snoozing in his favorite spots in the castle. Others portrayed him after he left, The Great falls, another of when they bought the cottage, and when they had finally found Scootaloo a house of her very own.

The Floor of the stallion cave was made from a black marble that shown with a brilliant luster. There was a large round table with seven chairs around it.

"Just like old times, huh Grog?" Fury asked as he sat down at the table.

"Yeah, just like old times," he returned, gaping at the room.

"But wait, there's more," Fury said as he pulled a small lever by his chair, revealing a secret door. "This door leads to a room full of things of my old life," he explained.

The three ponies walked into the secret room, and were amazed by the room. It was small, but it was full of memories. There were endless pictures, files and trinkets from a life long behind Fury. He had collected some of his spells that he had created and had deemed unusable, or just useless to everypony else.

"This is quite the place Fury, I just wish Pinkie would let me have a room like this at our house, and then I could keep all of my goofy things for Purple Swiss," Cheese said, in awe of the cave.

"Thanks Cheese Sandwich, and if you want, I can build another building if you want me to, so it is not taking space in town?" Fury asked the Party pony.

"That would be super duper fantastic. I would like to help on the construction if I could?" Cheese replied.

"Sure, why not," Fury answered, and then turned to leave the room. "I guess i'd better get ready, the wedding starts in an hour," Fury stated as he walked back into the original room.

After getting on his tuxedo, Fury and the other two made their way over to Sweet Apple Acres, where the wedding was taking place. As they were walking down the trail that lead to the farm, they began to see the decorations that Applejack and the others had done to the place for the event. They had built a good size gazebo behind the house, and had it draped by white lace and silk. The trees around the house had been plucked of their fruit and were now decorated in the same manner. Over by the house there was a large table where the cake and other food had been placed.

The cake was a large four layer cake, which was decorated by icing rose pedals and lightning bolts, along with a few wings and a shield, just like Fury's cutie mark. The top of the cake had two figures, one was a very profound model of Rainbow Dash, while the other was a brown Pegasus model. Fury didn't mind, as it was just a cake. He then let his eyes gaze on the rest of the food brought.

There were apple fritters, apple pies, and other kinds of various apple treats. Beside them were cupcakes and muffins, separated so when the mail mare got there, she didn't eat a cupcake by mistake. He at least hoped that the doctor would make it, but he knew that he was often busy trying to save time and space here, but with nothing to save, so he usually visited past times when there was real danger to behold.

He looked up to the sun, about one o'clock. The wedding was set to start at two thirty, so Fury walked around with the other two ponies and tried to find the apple family. It didn't take long however, as both Applejack and Big mac had just returned from the field to clean up for the wedding.

Big mac had just returned from the field, and was a sweaty mess, covered in perspiration and dirt. His mane was stuck to his neck and smelled as though he had been rolling with the pigs.

Fury stopped the large stallion, who had become something of a brother to him. "Hey mac, you know of something we can do while you and your sister get ready?" Fury asked as he reached the large red stallion.

"Well Fury, I guess ya'll could get the chairs put into place, other than that, everything else is set up," Big mac said, as he returned to his journey to the house.

Fury moved aside and let him pass, before the other two went with him and helped get the chairs in order for the wedding. They set up five rows of chairs, each row of chairs containing twenty chairs.

After setting up the chairs, the three stallions found a seat and waited for the rest to show up.

It wasn't too long before the wedding guests began to show up. Half of equestria had been invited, at least that's what it seemed like to Fury. He was always one for a smaller crowd, while Dash loved to be center of attention.

The first few guests were some pegasi from cloudsdale, some of Dash's friends fury supposed. After they arrived, an old friend came from around a bush in the orchard. The Doctor and Derpy walked into the main area for the wedding. Fury ran over to greet his old friend.

"Hello good doctor, I am glad that you were able to make it," Fury said to the Doctor, who smiled at the greeting.

"Why hello Fury Flight my old friend. My my, you do look smashing in that tuxedo," the Doctor said as he fixed the rose on his tux. Fury smiled and waved his friend on.

Over the next half an hour, the rest of the wedding guests arrived and began to wander around, waiting for the wedding to start.

The Mares arrived around two fifteen, and looked to be in a hurry. Hurricane had what looked to be an annoyed look on her face. She was never one for the more feminine features. Star Shine and Silver Tail were both elegant in their looks, Their magic providing an additional beauty to their already beautiful bodies. They wore gowns of white silk that flowed like the waves of the sea. Serenity had a look all her own, with a gown of blue, that flowed in the wind like a prairie of wild flowers.

His sisters were a different story. Luna had on a black dress with small shining jewels embedded into it to seem as the stars above. Celestia however wore what could only be described as a white sun. He smiled and tried to hold back a mighty laugh that had tried to escape him. Celestia had eyed him and gave him a dirty look as he swallowed the humor.

Dash's friends wore white dresses, fashioned with their own personality's, fashioned by her friend, Rarity he thought was her name. She had tried to woo him one day when he was in town, begging him to take her on a flight. When he had refused, she said she would turn him into a chicken. He had said that he wouldn't mind being a chicken, because she didn't have the mind to make him one. An hour later though, he had flown for his life as Dash chased him through Ponyville, yelling that she was going to kick his ass when she got ahold of him. He remembered finding a cave just outside the city, where he hid for a few hours.

His eyes diverted him from his thoughts when he seen a glimpse of Dash. It looked like she had on a wavy white gown, that complimented her pregnant body well, and also made her look full of life and youth. She appeared to even have her mane in style, but he couldn't tell. Just like that, she was gone, among the crowd of mares that had just arrived.

Fury began to look around for the officiator he and Dash had picked for the wedding. She should've been around here somewhere, he knew that she wouldn't wander off, not today. He and Dash had chosen his sister Luna as the officiator because she had not only driven him crazy about it, but had went through all the steps to become an official officiator. Even though she was a princess, she wanted to be official so she could officiate other weddings and events.

Fury spotted his sister at the alter, or in this case, a stand in the center of the gazebo.

The wedding was set to begin, and Luna began her speech before Fury was to walk out.

"Good afternoon my friends, and welcome to the union of these two ponies in holy matrimony," Luna began. She then continued her speech. "This love came from a chance event, and has grown to a love deeper than either could ever imagine. Today they come before you, ready to exchange their vows and become as one pony," Luna said as she held up a hoof, to reveal the groom, Fury Flight, walking up the long aisle.

Fury looked around at all the ponies that had shown up as he walked up the aisle. There was the Doctor, who looked like he had just returned from medieval Canterlot. Beside him was the Mail Mare, Derpy, he thought her name was. There was also his friends, the five of them, there at the front. Friends he thought he would never see again.

There were friends of Dash's from all walks of life. There was Scootaloo friends, who were just on the cusp of Mare hood. Then there were her friends from the Wonderbolts, some of the ponies that she had flown with, and others that he recognized as current member of the illustrious team.

Fury reached the end of the aisle and stood beside his sister. She turned from him and looked towards the end of the aisle.

"And Now may I present the Wife to be, Miss Rainbow Dash," Luna said as the cyan mare began to walk down the aisle.

Rainbow had indeed done something to her mane, as it was straightened, not in it's usual fashion of just being combed with her hoof. She had a vibrant White Daylily that had been placed into her mane, just above her left ear. She wore a Pure white dress, large enough to be put around her pregnant barrel. Her dress was short, just passing her tail, but she wasn't one for glamor.

She walked down the aisle slowly, as a familiar tune began. Behind her followed her friends and Scootaloo, her mares of honor. With each step she took, rainbow began to blush more and more. She watched the stallion that looked at her from the alter, smiling a smile that seemed to be made of pure fairy tales.

She made it down the alter and stood in front of Fury at the alter.

"You look beautiful Dash," Fury said softly as she stood in front of him.

"You really think so huh, is that why you look like Con Mane?" Dash asked, with a huge smile and even a small blush.

Fury smiled back and then nodded at Luna to begin.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of these to ponies, Fury Flight and Rainbow Dash," Luna said, as Fury began to clear his throat. "The bride and groom have written their own vows and are ready to share them,"

Fury cleared his throat and spoke, "My dear Rainbow, I have loved you since the moment I first met you, and will continue to love you until the last breath escapes my body and my soul joins the beyond. I will love you with all of my heart and soul for all time, come hell or high water, or the very gods themselves, I will always love you," he finished.

Rainbow blushed a little before reciting her own. "Oh Fury, what a ride it has been. The things we've done and seen, and now we are gonna tie the knot and settle down, maybe. I know that this marriage is a bond that will always hold our love together in this world and the next, and so I will love you until the end of time," She finished with a small tear in her eye.

Luna began the end of the ceremony. "With the vows said, let us bring the end of this ceremony. Fury Flight, do you take Rainbow Dash to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?"

"I do," Fury answered.

"And You Rainbow Dash, do you take Fury Flight to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, till death do you part?" Luna asked Rainbow dash.

"I do," Rainbow answered.

"Then by the power vested in me by the land of Equestria, I now pronounce you Stallion and Mare! You may now kiss the bride," Luna said to end the ceremony.

Fury and Dash locked up in a passionate embrace to seal the marriage. They kissed for a few moments before breaking up for air. The crowd began to cheer and tossed seeds towards the newlyweds.

Fury guided Dash over to the cake, where Pinkie Pie looked hungrily with cutter in hoof. She handed Fury the knife, who took it up in hoof and made the first slice of cake for Dash. He gave the knife to Dash, who cut out a piece for Fury. They then held up their respective pieces of the cake and went to feed each other, at least they would of, if it weren't for dash stuffing the cake into Fury's face.

Fury took Dash's slice and caked it all over Dash's face. The two, now faces covered in delicious wedding cake, began to laugh as the others began to gather around and congratulate the two ponies.

Just then the sky began to crackle and boom as a portal opened up, and six regal ponies came through. Galaxo and the others landed softly on the grass, just in front of the newly weds.

"Are we too late?" Galaxo asked, trying to be casual.

"Not at all dad, not at all," Dash answered. At this, Galaxo smiled deeply and then brought up his hoof.

"Then could I ask the bride to a father- Daughter dance?" Galaxo asked.

Dash accepted the invitation and the two made their way to a clearing on the farm and danced a slow dance.

Firefly made her way over to Fury, who then took her out into the clearing and danced along side with his wife and father.

The rest of the afternoon went by slowly, allowing Dash and Fury to enjoy one of the most memorable days of their lives. Now they set their eyes on the future, and the small foal growing in Dash's belly.

The War of the great alicorns was terrible, so many gave their lives to take down a tyrant, but in the midst of the war, came the greatest weapons and gifts that Equestria has ever seen, The Elements Of Harmony. Me and my friends created the jewels from raw power and friendship. They not only boosted our own power, but made a bond between us that could never be broken, a bond strong enough that not even death itself could keep us apart.

Fury closed his journal, which now had four entries in it.

He had started the journal a couple of years back, after receiving advice from his sister, Princess Luna. He had since then traveled Equestria, seen the miracle of Foal birth, which he never wanted to see again, and had married the mare of his dreams, Rainbow Dash.

Fury and Dash had been married for just over a year, and their young foal, Soaring Shadow was about a year old as well. He had come out a blue colt, with a brilliant rainbow mane, like Dash's. He was born a Unicorn, and had given their home quite the makeover with his young baby magic. The young foal had turned his room into a floating zoo of stuffed animals, and then had came into the living area and turned the furniture into cake and ice cream. After they had caught him, Twilight had came over from her castle and cast a spell to reverse the effects of the young ones magic, and then cast a spell onto the foal, curving his magic until he could better control it.

Fury looked to the door of his study, where stood a young colt, blue with a rainbow mane. The young colt had came down after having a nightmare, and found solace that his father was awake. Fury got up and walked over to the teary eyed colt.

"Soaring, what's the matter? Did you have another bad dream again?" Fury asked as he knelt down to the colt.

"Yea, there was a smoke monster that had ahold of you and mommy, and told me I had to choose which one of you had to die," Soaring Shadow said, tears beginning to well up in his eyes again.

Fury wiped the tears away from the young one's cheeks as he then hugged Soaring. "Don't worry, my young colt, me and your mother are just fine, and nothing is going to happen to us," Fury said as he soothed the foal down. "Let's get you back to bed then, shall we," Fury said, gesturing with his hoof to the door.

The two ponies walked up the stairs and to the first floor of the house. They then walked through the house, and found the way to his bedroom. Fury then tucked the young foal into bed, and then walked to the other bedroom in the house, where Dash slept peacefully. He would write to Luna in the morning and ask about his nightmare, as this was the third time this week Soaring had woke up screaming. Fury walked over to the bed and crawled in and fell asleep for the remainder of the night.

The next morning came quickly, and Fury was awakened by Dash shoving on him.

"Fury, Fury Flight, Get Up!!" Dash yelled. Fury's ears perked up as he heard his full name, something was obviously wrong.

He shot up and out of the bed faster than lightning. "What is it, is Soaring hurt?" Fury asked, nearly causing Dash to jump out of her skin.

"No Fury, this letter came in this morning from Luna, it says that Celestia is acting strange, really strange," Dash said, holding up the scroll that had been sent by magic about an hour earlier.

Dearest brother,

I come to you this morning with news of our sister. She has been strange all morning, laughing about the sun and saying something about you, please come as fast as the wind can carry you,

Princess Luna

Fury dropped the letter as he ran for the door before Dash could stop him.

"Fury, wait!" Dash yelled, giving chase to Fury.

Fury turned around and stopped Dash. "Stay here Dash, and keep Soaring safe, no matter what happens," he said as he ran out the door and took off the ground, flying fast enough to break the sound barrier, going towards Canterlot.

When he arrived, Fury wished he had read the letter wrong. Celestia was in the middle of the throne room, and she was turning a yellowish in color, and the room was heating up. Luna was in front of Celestia, Trying to talk her down he guessed, as Celestia had a furious look on her face.

Upon seeing him, Celestia began to cackle and looked directly to him.

"If it isn't the prodigal son. The all powerful Fury Flight, what do we have the honor of you gracing our presence?" Celestia asked in a voice that wasn't her own. "Forgive me if I don't bow to the former prince," she said again, this time in a deeper voice.

Fury stopped in his tracks, what was she doing. This was his sister, not only the ruler of Equestria, but a kind and noble soul.

"What are you doing Celestia, this isn't you," Fury said as he took a step towards the white alicorn.

"Ohh, but this is the new me," Celestia said as he coat began to yellow even more. "After all Brother, we have been through so much together," Celestia said, looking at Fury with a sadistic smile.

"Celestia please, we can right whatever has you mad, don't take it out on anypony," Fury said, trying to talk her down from her apparent anger.

"You think I am angry!?" Celestia yelled. "You haven't seen angry yet, no, but now that you are here, I can explain my new form," she said with glee. "After all, it has been a few years since we last met," She said with a voice that wasn't hers.

"What are you talking about Celestia? We have only been away from each other for a couple months," Fury said.

A voice that wasn't at all Celestia's spoke, "Not this body you fool, we have met before, but in different forms,"

"How is that possible, I watched the nightmare die when we hit it with the elements. How is it that it not only revived, but took control of my sister," Fury thought as he looked at the changing princess.

"How are you alive...., Nightmare?" Fury asked.

"And now we have a match, ding ding ding. Yes fury, it's me, the Nightmare, and I have taken control of this body now," The Nightmare said in Celestia's body. "But I'll bet your wondering why and how I am here now," it said, looking Fury straight in the eyes.

It walked around Luna, who was in shock that the same Nightmare that had taken over her had taken over her sister.

"After our last meeting, only a small shred of me survived, and I went into hiding, in the depths of Tartarus. There I regained my shadows and rebuilt my strength. When strength was whole again, I set about my plan to take my revenge on you, so I waited. I watched as you fought gods and ponies, but it wasn't time, as you still had magic to defeat me. Then I watched as you gave up your magic and left your defenses, and then it was only a matter of time before you would become weak and unable to resist me, but what fun would it be taking control of a Pegasus, so I found family who could decimate you and anypony who stood in my way," the Nightmare said as it took a couple more steps toward Fury.

Fury's mind was racing, as the enemy that had started the destruction of equestria had returned, and had returned to the royal sisters. He knew that he would have to stop it, but how?

"Alright then, Nightmare, here I am, but you hesitate. Are you afraid I might still have a trick or two up my sleeve?" Fury said, looking at the Nightmare with focused eyes.

At this, Celestia's body began to change, her coat finally finding a shade of yellowish white. Her mane and tail began to ignite, and then took aflame, becoming a mane of fire. She smiled as she looked to Fury, and allowed some of her mane to flare out, catching some of the castle on fire.

Fury looked to Luna, who was still frozen in shock. "Luna!!" he yelled. At that, she shook out of it and ran towards Fury. "Luna, get out of here, and send for the Elements, I'll stay here and hold her at bay," Fury said as he eyed Celestia up.

"Brother, she will kill you," Luna said, with understandable worry in her voice.

"Then I will die a happy stallion, besides, I'm the one she wants," Fury said, facing his enemy reluctantly. Luna ran out of the room and to a safer part of the castle to do her brother's wishes.

Fury watched as Celestia produced a fireball with her magic and flung it straight at Fury. Fury tried to dodge it, but the fireball moved with him and hit him head on.

Fury looked to the heavens right before it hit him and whispered. "Please let this work. Father, please grant me the ability to hold her off until the Elements can heal her,"

The fireball hit, but there was no smell of burning flesh and feathers, or screaming of death. Then fire died around the pony to show an alicorn standing before her. Fury stood with a shield around him, with a look of fear and relief on his face.

Fury opened his eyes to show glowing white, and he looked to Celestia. "Celestia, I know that you are in there somewhere. Fight it, I don't want to hurt you," Fury said as his horn lit up.

"Celestia may hear you, but she cannot help you," The Nightmare said as it brought forth another fireball.

Fury Called upon his magic and lightning began to crackle and shot out of his horn. He shot the lightning out and struck Celestia. The lightning hit her and started to coarse through her. Her body began to twitch and convulse while the energy surged through her.

After the spell faded, Celestia or now Solar Flare stood, and faced Fury. "Is that all you got Fury Flight, my my, how you have grown weak over my absence," Solar Flare said as she brought forth another fireball with her magic. She propelled the fireball with her magic towards Fury, but Fury had seen it coming, and had called upon his magic and water flowed from his horn and towards the fireball. The two elements met each other in a deadly kiss that ended in smoke.

Fury then brought forth more water and drenched Solar Flare. The cooling water hit the fiery mare, putting out her fire and leaving her a wet mess. Her mane and tail was gone, as they were made out of fire. Her soaked body hit the floor in anger and weakness. Fury took the opportunity to use his magic to levitate and throw her through a wall out of the castle.

"I am sorry sister, but the Nightmare has left me no choice," Fury said as he jumped off the balcony.

When Solar Flare's body hit the cold ground, her eyes opened to show nothing but a yellow glare. Her mane and tail reignited as the rest of the water evaporated off of her body. She rose from the ground and brought forth a fiery sphere around her. Fury had to stop his descent to save himself from the scorching heat.

Solar Flare's flame sphere suddenly opened to show her. she had began to turn into fire, as her legs began to darken and her hooves had turned into what appeared to be magma. She smiled up at Fury, who had brought up a shield around himself to protect himself from the heat.

"What's wrong Fury, can't take the heat!!!" Solar Flare screamed as she charged Fury, who then called upon his magic to teleport them both away from civilization, who had already began to feel the effects of Solar Flare's magic. The two disappeared and reappeared in the ruins of the Crystal empire.

The Elements of Harmony, Reunited

View Online

Rainbow Dash had just finished making Soaring his breakfast of Oatmeal when a letter popped into existence before her, nearly falling into the porridge. She caught the letter just before it fell, and brought it over to the table along with the breakfast of the young colt. She opened the letter and read the stirring contents sent by Princess Luna.

Dear Element bearer,

The time has arisen for your return to action, and your mission is set. Defeat and heal my sister Celestia. She has went into a state of a nightmare, the rest will be provided to you on your arrival,
come as fast as the wind can carry you, and may the spirit of Harmony protect you

Princess Luna

Dash dropped the letter as tears began to fall from her cheeks. Something had gone terribly wrong, she just knew it, Fury had either been hurt or killed. Dash sprinted out of the house before the thought crossed her that Soaring would be at home all alone. Dash grabbed the young colt who fussed about not being able to eat his oatmeal and flew out the door, towards the Canterlot castle.

Flames rolled as Solar Flare brought down another ball of fire upon Fury, but it missed it's target and hit the ground beside him. Fury's horn came to life as he called upon his magic. Lightning crackled and shot out of his horn, straight at Solar Flare, but like the last, it missed.

Solar Flare was beginning to become more and more flame, as her wings had now became engulfed by the flame of the nightmare. She opened her mouth and roared, and fire came flowing from her. She opened her wings and let more fire escape her, and the snow around the fallen empire began to melt, and the land became visible, revealing the ash that the tyrant Kaorn had caused.

Fury called on his lightning and it shot out across the land to meet his opponent, but she brought up a shield of fire, blocking the energy. The two of them were evenly matched in terms of magic, but Fury thought he could best her in hoof to hoof combat, but it was out of the question, as it was his sister in there, and he couldn't hurt her like that.

Fury moved as another blast of fire burned past him. his gaze shifted to a lone figure standing among the ruins of the castle. It was more of a shadow, but the features were clear, and they formed a pony that Fury never wanted to see, the master of the shadows, Kaorn.

The shadowy image stood where the castle was once erected, and stared into Fury's soul with dark red eyes that could pierce the abyss itself.

How was that possible, as Fury had watched with his own eyes as Twilight had ripped the heart and soul out of Kaorn when he had tried to destroy equestria.

A smile seem to come across the shadow's face as Fury returned his gaze to Solar Flare, only to see fire, and a lot of it.

The fire engulfed Fury's body before he could bring up his shield, and when he finally got his shield up, the heat from the flames remained. Solar Flare didn't give in to her spell, and kept up the fire, pushing mountains of flame at the small shield.

Fury closed his eyes. "Come on Fury Flight, remember what you are here for, remember why you are alive," Fury thought as memories flooded his brain of Dash and his young colt, both of whom he may never see again.

The shield began to break apart as Fury's eyes began to water with the fact that he was bound to die in the very place that he was given a second chance at life, again.

Just then a blue light exploded near him and the flame stopped. Fury opened his eyes and saw the Elements of harmony standing beside him. For once, he had a hero.

Dash arrived at the castle to find the rest of her friends there as well, all with the same look of fear and shock. The castle was badly burnt, and there was a huge hole in the wall.

Twilight was talking to Luna, tears in her eyes. Something had happened to Fury, he was hurt or dead, she just knew it.

Twilight walked over to the rest of her friends. "Girls, we need to go, Princess Celestia was taken over by the nightmare, and Fury Flight told Luna that he would give us time to get here and face her."

"Where are they Twi, I have to know?" Dash asked, tears flowing from her eyes.

"Rainbow, we suspect that they are at the ruins of the Crystal Empire. Fury wouldn't fight her with a lot of innocent lives at risk. We are going there first." Twilight said as she called upon her magic and walked into the middle of the group. "Hold on girls, I am going to teleport us there." she said as her magic branched out to the other five ponies around her. There was a popping noise, and then the only ponies in the room were Luna and Soaring Shadow.

Soaring Shadow walked over to the night Princess and nudged her. Luna looked down to the small colt.

"Well hello my little nephew, shall we find something fun to do?" Luna asked the small colt, who nodded in agreement. The two ponies walked down a corridor to find the room that they had made when Dash had the foal.

Fury opened his eyes to see the elements standing beside him, all giving him the same look when they saw the horn atop his head.

"Thank goodness your here..........." Fury said as he collapsed. Dash began to run to her husband, but Twilight stopped her.

"Come on Dash, let's deal with Celestia first, Fury will survive long enough for us to heal her," Twilight said, trying to be empathetic.

The six turned to Solar Flare, who had already began a spell of fire. Twilight called upon her magic and brought forth water to meet Solar's fire. The water met the fire with a deadly embrace and put out the rage. The two ponies held their magic strong, water and fire meeting in the center of them both.

Twilight called upon her guardian magic and the water marched across the ground and met the pony of fire. The water doused her mane and wings, and locked her in place. Twilight and the others called upon the elements which shot out the rainbow blast and started to swirl around Solar Flare, who began to scream in agony as the spell healed her and dispelled the Nightmare.

The Nightmare shot out of Solar Flare's body and tried to shoot across the sky, but Twilight caught it with her magic. "Your not going anywhere this time," she said as she produced a container to place the nightmare. The shadow screamed and thrashed as it was sucked into the container. She sealed it and stuck it into her magical storage.

Fury opened his eyes to see the six standing over him, looking at him with interest and with fear. He began to stand, but one of his legs was badly burned and refused to act right, and he fell back to the ground.

"Just set there and get some rest Fury, your pretty hurt," Twilight said, before speaking again. "What were you thinking Fury Flight, taking on that Nightmare without the Elements to fight it?" she said.

"I thought I could hold it at bay until you could be brought," Fury said, trying to hold back a tear that was trying to escape his eye and run down to the red earth below. He had failed them, he had failed himself.

Twilight's expression softened at the sight of Fury holding back a tear. "I am so sorry Fury, I know how this must feel for you."

"I just thought I could be her hero one last time," Fury said as he looked to Dash, who had been crying for a while.

"You have always been my hero, and you always will be Fury, you don't have to go out and defeat villains to be my hero. You were there for me when no pony was, you have been by my side through all of the rough times of my life, making it worth living, and you will always be there for me and Soaring Shadow, won't you?" Dash asked.

"Of course I will Dash," Fury said as he used his magic to heal his injuries. He stood as he finished and the others watched as the horn began to vanish from his head. "Goodbye my friend," Fury said as the last of his magic disappeared.

Celestia began to stir as Fury's magic disappeared. "Where......., Where am I?" She asked, looking to the elements. The six ponies gathered around Celestia, telling her of the Nightmare and her transformation into Solar Flare. Celestia looked to the lone stallion standing by himself. She walked over to her brother and spoke. "Are you alright Fury, I saw you fall in front of me, and I thought I killed you."

Fury nodded and answered, "I am alright Celestia, I will live."

He looked to the others and then turned to fly back towards the city of Canterlot. He was stopped by a magical force. He looked over to see Twilight holding him with her magic.

"And your are going where?" Twilight asked, with a sarcastic look on her face.

"Back to the castle, why, where should I be going?" Fury asked, dumbfounded.

"With us back to the castle," Twilight said as she called upon her magic to teleport them back to the castle.

Upon arriving, the ponies had a grand feast celebrating the return of Princess Celestia. The feast went on for hours, and Fury cut away from the party to his private study, and opened his journal.

We all try to be a hero, all of us have the same thoughts. To be a hero, to save the ones we love, and destroy our enemies. We often think that we are invincible until we are shown our own mortality. It is then that we are shown the true ways of a hero, that they don't always run into battle, swords raised and on the front line, but rather are back home, saving lives from our own darkness. Sometimes the hero is just the one who can see the darkness in others and bring forth light and save us from ourselves, this I learned today, as I fought my own sister. I was shown that I will not always be the hero on the battle field, but will always be one to my wife and one true love, as the one who stuck beside her, and was simply there for her. It is this kind of hero that we should all strive to be, and maybe, just maybe, we could make Equestria a better place...

The End of One Story, The Beginnings Of Another

Fury opened his eyes slowly, his aging body slowly allowing him to move. He had been through a lot over the course of his life, having seen gods rise and fall, and the near end of Equestria time and time again. He had seen his friends live and die, and just when he thought he was living in a shell, Dash had come into his life and filled it with reason.

He had made a good life with her, seeing her for nearly twelve years before marrying the mare. They had faced the world together, and seen it's wonders, and it's terrors. He had scared her more than a couple times when facing off against villains. After his bout with Solar Flare though, Fury had calmed down and had lived life to the fullest.

They lived in the cottage that they bought. It harbored the family for over fifty years, and served as the raising place for Soaring Shadow.

Soaring Shadow grown up and became a great wizard, under the mentorship of Twilight Sparkle. His Works of Weather spells and healing spells could still be found in the great library in Canterlot to this day. He was considered the greatest wizard of his time, even trumping Princess Twilight at one time.

Soaring Shadow had become the greatest wizard of his time, but something knocked him clean off his haunches, love. Her name was Tree Sprout, a green mare with a pink mane, like her mother's, Fluttershy.

Dash and Fluttershy were overjoyed that their two children had fallen in love. They were married under the moon at Canterlot castle, officiated by the bringer of the night herself. Soon after, Tree Sprout became with Foal and gave birth to their first child, Star Bringer. The couple moved to the other side of Ponyville, and lived there for the remainder of their lives. It was there, years later, that Tree sprout gave birth to their second Foal, Scoots. named after Soaring's aunt.

Scootaloo had left Ponyville years ago, searching for her father's grave. She searched The newly rebuilt Manehatten and other cities and towns to find a place that could hold the famed honor guard.

She found the tomb of Rip Claw in a little town called Spursville, where the Stallion had been born. The town was small and sweet, and ponies were the same, so much so that the orange Pegasus settled down in the small town and made her home in the house that her father had once called home.

Fury got up off the bed slowly, and he looked to the other side, still folded neatly and unkempt. It had been that way for a year now, ever since that day. It was like any other day, it was Scoots birthday, and her and Dash were playing out in the yard. Even though that Dash was considerably older now, her coat was a faded blue, and her mane had lost it's colors and were now just different shades of gray and white, she could still prance like a younger mare. The two ponies were running around in the yard, when Dash had grabbed her chest in pain, and then collapsed.

That had been one year ago to the day, and he still missed her as much as he did at the front of the hospital when her soul left this plane.

He walked slowly across the old house that he had called home for so many years, to the kitchen where he brewed a cup of coffee, just the way she would've liked it. The coffee was black, with enough coffee grounds to be called goo. Dash had always said the amount of coffee would give her an extra boost in her old age. Usually Fury would just take a sip and spit out the liquid, but this morning he drank the coffee, and enjoyed it. After he drank his coffee, he hobbled over to the old desk where there sat five full books, all written by Fury over the length of his life. He opened the top book to the last couple pages where it shown a blank page. He slowly picked up a quill and wrote the last entry of this or any journal.

Life, what is life. We often think that life is just the time we spend in this body, the time that we breathe, but life is so much more than that. It is the time that we spend in this life and the actions that we do. We only get one go in this life, and many of us waste it on working and paying off our debts, when we were put here to live this life to the fullest, to enjoy the time upon this plane. We are here to fulfill the dreams of our heart and soul, and to find our partner that will walk down the path with us. My name is Fury Flight, and I leave these journals to my son, Soaring Shadow, so that he may continue my work, and provide his own knowledge to these journals.

This is my last entry, and I say that I have had a good run, and to my family and friends of this world, I say that I will meet you on the other side of the shore.

Fury closed the journal and placed the book back in it's place, along with a letter to Soaring Shadow. The old stallion then walked over to the door and turned around to look at the surroundings of the old cottage one last time, before leaving to make the walk to see his wife once again.
