Arrival into Equestria

Grineer ship above Phobos

A rattle of gunfire zipped past Volt’s or as he was known, Ankyas Ferios, head as he hunkered down behind a bridge strut.

“Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have left that Grenadier for last!” He swore as he returned fire at the Grineer troops advancing on his position with his Karak. He then leapt out from his hiding place and unleashed a blast of chain lightning that took down half of the troopers. He then activated his comms and called to one of his teammates.

“++ Lokan, what's the status?++” After a few tense minutes, he got an reply.

“++ Not good, Emirea and Rhrawn are down, and I'm pinned at a junction. Can you reach us?++” The sound of gunfire could be heard in the background as Lokan answered.

“++ Negative, I've got Grineer troops blocking me, but once I clear these guys out, I'll be with you.++”

“++ Copy tha- AAARGH! ++ Lokan suddenly cut off with a pained cry before falling silent.

“Lokan? Lokan?!” Volt swore before retreating to the extraction point, Grineer troopers chasing after him. Just as he reached the door, a lucky burst of enemy fire hit him in the back, sending him stumbling onto the floor groaning in pain. As he looked up, the squad leader walked up to him, and spoke.

“So this is what the Tenno send us? How pitiful… Your friends at least put up a fight before they were put down like the dogs they were! And now we shall extend that same courtesy to you, unless you can put up more of a fight….” He chuckled evilly.

Volt growled before unsheathing his Venka and cutting down the squad leader before a hail of Hind fire shredded him, as he fell, he suddenly felt himself being pulled away but he didn't think about it as unconsciousness took over and he blacked out.

Equestria

“Rainbow, you nearly ruined the summoning spell!” Twilight yelled at the prismatic Pegasus, who looked embarrassed at being yelled in front of everyone in Ponyville. “Pranking me when I'm not working on a spell is fine, but when I am working on a spell, I need to concentrate on what I'm doing! One mistake and things could end disastrously!”

“Okay, sorry Twi! I thought it would be funny if I dropped a rubber snake on you, I didn't know you were working on a spell!” Rainbow said, rubbing the back of her head with her hoof.

The Alicorn nodded before noticing a growing orb of light appearing in front of her.

“Um, Twi? Was that what you meant to do when you were casting the spell?” Rainbow asked nervously, also looking at the orb that was now growing in size.

Twilight shook her head. “No! I meant to summon a book! I don't know what's gonna appear!”

“Twilight!” Four more voices called out to her. Twilight turned to see Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie and Applejack running towards where she and Rainbow were standing.

“What in the name of Gala Apple is going on here Twi?” The country mare asked.

“ I agree darling, what is happening?” Rarity asked.

As Twi explained what had happened, Spike arrived, huffing from having ran from the library. But as he walked up the the group, the orb suddenly burst in a flash of blinding light, and when everyone's vision cleared, they gasped as they saw a body lying nearby. It was bipedal, and had what looked like claws on its hands, but it had no tail and no face that could be seen, and it was bleeding heavily from holes on it. Next to it were three strange devices and on its “claws” were three more mounted on them, but unlike the ones on his hands, these were more like blades.

“Eep!” Fluttershy squeaked before hiding behind Rainbow who looked at the creature in shock.

After looking at it for a few minutes, Twilight shook herself from her daze and said, “We need to get it to the hospital, it's badly wounded!”

“Twilight, are you crazy?! Do you see those claws? What if it wakes up and attacks us?!” Rainbow asked, pointing at the claws in question.

“I don't think it's going to wake up for a while, it’s unconscious.” Twilight replied before levitating the creature and teleports the whole group to the hospital. After making sure that everything was taken care of, Twilight and Spike flew back to the library where after checking on Nyx, she had him write a letter to Princess Celestia about what happened.

“Dear Princess Celestia,

Earlier I was practicing a summoning spell when Rainbow Dash decided to prank me by dropping a rubber snake on me. As I was reprimanding her, an orb appeared and grew in size before exploding in a flash of light. The others and Spike had arrived at this point, but as we recovered from the flash, we saw a creature unlike anything we saw before, it was bipedal like a Minotaur, yet had hands with claw like appendages like a dragon, and three claw like blades on his hands along with three strange devices next to him, but he is unconscious and severely wounded, and is now at Ponyville Central Hospital. We don't know if it's friendly or not, so I need your advice on what we should do.

Your faithful student,

She soon got a reply:

“My Faithful Student

You did the right thing, but I would suggest being careful when it wakes up, I'll be there tomorrow morning to see this creature. Until then, I have sent Luna to keep an eye on it and if it wakes up,She will notify you to come over to the hospital. Maybe then some form of contact can be made.

Princess Celestia”

Twilight sighed, “I hope this thing is friendly… because if it's not, Faust save us all…

Back at the Hospital, Volt slept a dreamless sleep, broken only by memories of his former life before the Grineer attacked and memories of his team and their last moments aboard the Grineer ship.

All the while, the Princess of the Night watched over him,both interested and… afraid of what she saw in his memories.

I pray none of these…. “Grineer” find Equestria, for we don't have the technology to repel such a foe, and these “Tenno”, they put their lives on the line to protect others from them and the other foes they fight…. She thought, But I pray he won't be a threat to Equestria…

She sighed and looked out the window. “May you wake up soon…” she murmured.

Unbeknownst to her, the Tenno was already starting to stir…….

The next day...

Beep….Beep….Beep

The sound of a heart monitor broke through Ankyas’ conscious as he stirred.

Ugh, what happened? The last thing I remember was taking out that Lancer squad leader… he sluggishly thought before feeling the pain from the bullet wounds and groaned, How did I end up in a hospital?

“It's awake! Someone notify the princess!” A male voice was heard before what sounded like high heeled shoes were heard. “Please calm down, we only want to help!” The voice then said to him.

“W...where am I?” The Tenno asked, turning towards the owner of the voice only to look in shock at a brown Unicorn with a what looked like a stethoscope imprinted on its flank. Okay, I know I heard someone talk, but how is there a unicorn here? He was then flabbergasted as the unicorn then spoke to him in plain English.

“Sir, are you okay?” It asked. Volt just looked at the unicorn in shocked silence before finally speaking.

“I'm dreaming, aren't I? There is no way a unicorn just talked…” He muttered.

“I assure you, you are not dreaming.” A new voice spoke up from the doorway. Ankyas turned to see a creature that looked like a mix of a unicorn and a Pegasus. Judging from its voice, it was female, and it was a dark navy blue with a picture of the moon on its flank.

His jaw dropped. Yeah, definitely dreaming….

“To answer your question, you are in Equestria,” She said “My name is Princess Luna, one of the rulers here in Equestria.”

“H-How did I get here? Last thing I remember was being on that Grineer ship….” The Tenno asked, getting a confused look from the creature. Deciding to change the subject, he then asked, “And what are you?”

“That would be my fault.” A smaller similar lavender colored creature with a picture of a starburst on its appeared next to Luna. Like Luna, it was female. “I was working on a summoning spell and a friend of mine played a prank on me, making me bring you here instead. You were severely wounded when you appeared, and you were also unconscious. As to what Luna and I are, we’re Alicorns. My name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?” She asked.

“Volt.” The Tenno replied, “My name is Volt. I assume you brought me here to the hospital?” Twilight nodded. “Then you have my thanks, I would’ve bled out if you hadn't been there.”

Twilight blushed. “It was nothing. But what are you exactly? We’ve never seen anything like you before!” She asked.

“I’m what's called a human, a specifically genetically augmented human called a Tenno. I was created by the Orkin to defend others from threats like the Grineer and Corpus.” Ankyas explained, “This suit that I'm wearing is called a Warframe, and I'm able to control Electricity with this particular frame.” He said, electrical energy arcing across his fingers as Twilight and Luna watched in awe, Twilight's eyes widening in amazement.

“Are there others like you?” She asked excitedly.

Ankyas chuckled. “Yes, there are others like me, but they control other elements or have a specific skill.” He said, “We’re led by Lotus, no one really knows that much about her, but she acts as our guide during missions.” He then winced as the memories of his team surfaced.

“Are you okay?” Twilight asked, reading his body language. Volt nodded.

“Yeah, just some painful memories.” He said. I never got to tell Emeria how I felt about her…

The Unicorn from before cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. “If I might get a word in edgewise, the patient’s wounds are now mostly healed, but he needs to take it easy as he still has a few wounds that still need healing up.” The two Alicorns nodded before Twilight realized something.

“Those Claw looking things that were on your hands, what were those?” She asked.

“The Venka? They're fighting claws that the Tenno use alongside many other weapons.” Ankyas’ eyes widened under his helmet. Shit, what the heck happened to my weapons?!

“When you brought me over here, what happened to my weapons?” He asked the lavender Alicorn in a calm tone, thankful that his helmet hid his panicked expression.

“They were placed somewhere safe, you’ll get them back after we leave the hospital.” She replied. Suddenly a flash of light appeared between the two Alicorns and Volt, who shielded his visor, and when the light cleared, a new Alicorn was standing where the light had come into being. She was alabaster white with a gold crown and regalia and had a picture of the sun on her flank.

The unicorn bowed as she walked up to Ankyas, who struggled to get up. “There's no need to get up.” She said. “I'm Princess Celestia, both Luna and I co-rule Equestria. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, and all will be answered in due time.”

Ankyas relaxed. “That I do, but for now, I’d like to apologize for the surprise I gave your subjects when I appeared.” He said.

Celestia chuckled, “ It's not often we have a new species appear, especially one with advanced technology.”

Ankyas laughed. “I bet. As for lodging, where would I be staying?” He asked.

“Twilight had offered to have you stay at the library while you recovered, if that's okay with you.” The alabaster Alicorn replied, Twilight looking embarrassed.

The Tenno nodded, “That's fine with me.”

Twilight practically squealed with delight. “I’ll be able to introduce you to my friends!” She exclaimed in excitement. The Tenno chuckled at her reaction.

Celestia also chuckled, “ I must return to Canterlot along with Luna. But if you ever need help, just let us know.” She said to Volt, who nodded in acknowledgement. With a flash of light, both she and Luna disappeared. The Tenno blinked in surprise.

“How were they able to do that?” He asked Twilight.

“Teleportation spell, all unicorns and Alicorns are able to use magic.” She said, her horn glowing as she levitated a cup of water over to him. He was shocked beyond belief. These guys have Lokan beat in Teleportation and none of the Tenno I know can levitate anything!

“This… shouldn't be possible….” He muttered. Twilight giggled.

“You have a lot to learn about Equestria.” She said.

A few pieces of paperwork later and Volt and Twilight were headed towards the Library. “So is there anything else I should know?” The Tenno asked.

“Well… Both Princesses raise and lower the moon.” Twilight answered.

There was a brief silence. “WHAT?!”

Twilight looked at the Tenno in surprise. “Doesn't anyone control your sun and moon?” she asked him. He shook his head.

“No, the planet usually moves around the sun, while the moon goes around the planet by themselves!” He explained. Now it was Twilight's turn to look shocked.

You mean you have no magic?! How do you survive?” She asked him in the same tone.

“With technology and guns.” Ankyas said grimly before shaking his head. “I don't really want to think about it right now. How far is the Library?” He then asked.

“Not far now. You’ll be able to meet Spike and Nyx.” Twilight answered before a blue blur crashed into her. Ankyas was caught off guard by what happened and looked on bemused at the pony pile in front of him.

“Rainbow….” Twilight groaned from under the prismatic pegasus “Did you have to crash into me?”

Rainbow Dash scrambled off of the lavender Alicorn and said, “Sorry Twi, lost control doing one of my stunts! At least you're ok……” her voice trailed away as she saw Ankyas standing by them. “Twi, look out!” She cried out before charging at the Tenno.

Ankyas dodged to the side before pulling out his Kayak and taking aim at Rainbow.

“Volt, no! Don't hurt her!” Twilight yelled. Ankyas then aimed above the pegasus before firing. The sound of the gun firing shocked Rainbow, flaring her wings, she stopped feet from the Tenno.

“What the buck was that?!” She said, shaking from the near death experience.

“That was a Karak.” Ankyas said, lowering the gun.

Just as Rainbow was about to retort, Twilight spoke up. “Rainbow, he wasn't going hurt me! He just got out of the hospital, and he wasn't supposed to be fighting!” She reprimanded the brash Pegasus.

“Wait, that's the creature that appeared?” Rainbow asked in surprise. The Alicorn nodded.

“What happened to those claws?” The pegasus asked, “They looked like they couldn't come off!” Ankyas took them out of their sheaths to show her. “Oh…”

The Tenno chuckled, “They're one of three weapons I'm armed with, along with the Karak .” As he resheathed the Venkas, Twilight gave Rainbow a pointed look.

“I... I'm sorry for attacking you. I didn't realize that you had just come out of the Hospital.” The cyan pegasus muttered her apology, glaring at Twilight.

“It’s fine, you didn't know, but next time don't attack without making sure they're an actual threat.” Ankyas said, giving a stern look to Rainbow.

“Okay! Sheesh, you don't have to act like my parents!” The Pegasus growled. She then shook her head before saying, “My name’s Rainbow Dash, fastest pegasus around!”

“Volt. Tenno of Electricity.” Ankyas said, “Nice to meet you Rainbow, I'm guessing you’re one of Twilight's friends?” The pegasus nodded.

“Yep, I also work as a weather mare here. I move clouds to where they're needed and when they're not needed, I buck them away.” At this, Ankyas’s eye twitched.

“You… move clouds? As in physically move them?” He asked in disbelief. The two mares nodded.

His thoughts raced. First magic, now clouds that can be moved?! What kind of world is this? Some of these things shouldn't be physically or scientifically possible!

"Volt, are you okay?” Twilight asked.

“I think I broke him when I said that I could move clouds.” Rainbow replied.

“Y...yeah, just trying to wrap my head around what I just heard….” Ankyas replied, “Back where I’m from, the weather acts on its own.” Both mares were surprised.

“So your weather is like the Everfree Forest?” Rainbow asked.

“The… Everfree Forest? What is that?” Ankyas asked in confusion.

“Someplace you want to avoid, trust me, I've been there too many times for my taste…” Twilight said, shuddering.

“Well, I gotta go, nice meeting you Volt!” Rainbow said before flying off in a blur of cyan.

“Well, she definitely has an ego. But I can see why you're friends with her.” Ankyas chuckled.

“She’s one of the loyalist friends I know. You’ll see my other friends when I show you around Ponyville.” Twilight said. Just as Ankyas turned his head, he was met with a wall of pink with two blue eyes.

“What in...?!” He exclaimed, stumbling backwards. As he did, he saw that it was not a wall, but a regular pony, like what he saw back on earth, with a bright pink coat and a darker pink mane. On her flank was a picture of three balloons.

“Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie!” The Pony said, bouncing up and down, “I met you yesterday when you were unconscious, but now I can meet you again! Do you like parties and what's your favorite ice cream and -!” Twilight put her hoof over Pinkie’s mouth.

“Pinkie, don't overwhelm him!” She said, looking at Ankyas as he laid on the ground, stunned at the hyperactive Earth Pony. “And how did you know he had come out of the hospital?!”

“My Pinkie sense told me! That and I saw you two going to the library.” Pinkie said.

Ankyas was getting more and more confused by the second. Pinkie sense? The heck is that?

“Well, gotta go see Dashie about a prank! Bye Twi, bye Ankyas!” Pinkie's voice snapped him out of his funk, and just as quickly, shocked him senseless.

How… how the hell did she know my name?! I never told her! He watched dumbfounded as Pinkie as she bounced away.

“Is.. is she always like that?” Ankyas asked Twilight as they walked the last few miles to the library after chatting about other things.

“Yep, and don't try to figure her out, I learned that the hard way.” She answered with a groan.

The Tenno chuckled nervously, “I don't plan to, I’d rather not suffer permanent brain damage!”

Twilight giggled before opening the door, as she trotted in, a cry of “MOM” was heard before a black Alicorn filly glomped her

“Hi Nyx, did school go okay?” Twilight asked her daughter.

“Yep, through Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were being a pain as always.” Nyx answered before seeing Ankyas behind her mom. “Who… who is that?!” She squeaked.

“This is the creature I told you about last night, his name's Volt.” Twilight said.

The Tenno knelt down to look at Nyx. “Hello Nyx, your mother told me about you. It's nice to finally meet you.” He said, smiling under his helmet.

Nyx hid behind Twilight, but peeked at Ankyas. “Nyx, why don't you get the table ready for dinner, we’ll be there shortly.” The filly nodded before runnng off.

“So what's Nyx’s story? You only mentioned that she was your daughter, but there's more to the story, isn't there?” The Tenno asked.

Twilight nodded before recounting the events that lead to her adopting Nyx.

Afterwards, after a meal of fried vegetables, and two lettuce and daisy sandwiches for Twilight and Nyx, during which Ankyas met Spike for the first time, the Tenno was shown to the guest room, and as he laid on the bed with his armor off, his thoughts drifted to his old life. I hope Excali is doing fine with leading the clan… I had trained him well…

Within seconds, he was asleep.

Ankyas slowly woke up, his mind fuzzy. Where am I? This isn't the ship… Then the memories of what had happened jolted him awake. So I'm really in another universe… still hard to believe that there are creatures of human mythology and sentient horses here…

There was a knock at the door. “Volt, are you up?” Spike's voice called through.

“Yeah, I'll be down soon.” The Tenno replied.

“Twi’s making pancakes, so you’d better hurry!” The baby dragon said before he headed downstairs, followed by Nyx’s footsteps.

Ankyas sighed rubbed his head, sliding his fingers through his raven colored hair. It's been awhile since I've really ate, those vegetables may have been good, but they weren't exactly filling.

As he got up, he caught a glimpse of himself in a mirror. The scars of the bullet wounds were visible all over his body. This must have what Twilight meant when she said I was severely wounded… those Grineer must’ve opened fire just as I cut that squad leader down… he realized.

After taking a quick shower, he donned his armor, minus the helmet, and headed down stairs. Spike had already left to take Nyx to school, so it was just Twilight that he saw as he entered the kitchen.

“Morning Volt!” Twilight said as he walked in. “There's still a few pancakes left if you want some!” Upon seeing him without his helmet on, she was surprised. “That's what you look like without the helmet on?” She asked.

Ankyas nodded, “Yep, wasn't what you were expecting was it?” He answered with a chuckle. The lavender Alicorn rolled her eyes. “So what's the plan for today?” he then asked as he dug into the pancakes.

“Well, I still need to introduce you to Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy, and after that, I need to pick Nyx up from school.” Twilight answered. “If she hasn't gone to hang out with her friends.”

“Sounds good to me, gives me time to see more of this town.” Ankyas said as he finished the last of his pancakes. As he got up to take care of his dishes, Twilight levitated them to the sink.

“I’ll take care of them for you, don't worry about it.” She said just as he was about to protest.

The Tenno shrugged in defeat, “Your house, your rules…” He said.

After the breakfast stuff had been dealt with, the two headed out to their first destination. Ankyas had donned his helmet before they had left the library, and now as he and Twilight walked through Ponyville, he became conscious of the stares he was getting from the other ponies as they walked to a fancy looking building in the southwest part of the town. Twilight noticed how he was looking from side to side as if he thought he was going to be attacked.

“You okay?” She asked.

“Yeah, just not really comfortable with being stared at.” The Tenno said, “I never really was a fan of crowds, I mostly just stayed away from them.”

Twilight giggled, “I'm the same, I'm more comfortable with my friends than in a big crowd.”

She then knocked on the door of the building, and a voice called out, “COMINNGGGGGG!”. The door opened to reveal a white unicorn mare with a bluish violet mane and a picture of three diamonds on her flank. “Why Twilight, what brings you here? Did you need something….?” She trailed off as she saw Ankyas behind her friend. “Is that…?” She asked the lavender Alicorn, who nodded.

“Rarity, this is Volt. Volt, this is Rarity, another of my friends.” Twilight said.

“My word, your armor looks very stylish! The rings on your arms really compliment the look!” Rarity exclaimed, “Did you make this yourself?”

Ankyas chuckled, “Yes, and it wasn't easy. Took a lot of credits to buy the parts for it, and this is practically a robotic suit.” He said.

“Don't be so modest, you did a smashing job!” Rarity said. Her eyes suddenly brightened. “IDEEEEEAAAAA!” She squealed before running into another room in her home.

The Tenno arced an eyebrow under his helmet. “She certainly has an eye for style.” He said.

“She’s the fashionetta here in Ponyville, she makes all sorts of dresses here.” Twilight said.

“Ah, okay, that makes sense.” Ankyas said.

The next stop was a place Twilight called Sweet Apple Acres. As the two walked across the dirt path, the Tenno thought he heard a howl. Apparently Twi had heard it too as she picked up her pace. “Twilight, what's going on?” Ankyas yelled as they both ran.

“It's Zap Apple season! I should have realized it earlier!” She yelled back. Just then, four strange creatures burst across their path and turned to face them. They looked lupine, but had green glowing eyes and were made entirely of wood. Twilight yelped, “Timberwolves!”

The four Timberwolves growled and advanced towards the two, only to hesitate as Ankyas unsheathed his Venkas and took a fighting stance. “Twilight, can you teleport to your friend’s home?” he asked. Twilight nodded before realizing what he was asking.

“Volt, no! I'm not leaving you!” She said, “I'm supposed to take care of you until you're completely healed!”

“Twilight, you won't be able to if you get hurt, now get to your friend's house!” Ankyas said. With a worried look, the lavender Alicorn vanished in a burst of light.

“Right…” the Tenno growled as he channeled his power through his claws, electricity arcing through the blades and advanced towards the Timberwolves, “Who wants to die first?”

Sweet Apple Acres

As it so happened, Fluttershy was at the ranch giving Winona a checkup. Applejack was pacing on the porch, a worried look on her face.

“Ah hope Twi didn't try and come here today… those blasted Timberwolves are out and about, and I don't want her to get attacked by those varmints…” The country mare muttered.

Just then, Twilight appeared in a burst of lavender light. Applejack ran up to her and said, “Consarn it all Twi! You picked one hell of a time to come here! Those Timberwolves are out! And if you had been hurt by them, I don't know what I'd do!” She stomped her hoof in anger.

“I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was Zap Apple season! But I can't talk right now, Volt’s in trouble!” Twilight nearly sobbed. Applejack gave her friend a puzzled look.

“Who's Volt?” She asked.

“You remember that creature that appeared two nights ago?” Applejack nodded then her eyes widened.

“You mean that’s the pony in trouble? Then let's get a move on!” She said before running to get Fluttershy. Soon the three mares were running to where Twilight had left Ankyas. But when they arrived, they were shocked to see that the Tenno was alone, surrounded by twigs and pieces of wood. He was kneeling while holding his Karak, the barrel smoking from the amount of shots fired. His armor was scratched in many places, testament to the claws and teeth of the Timberwolves. The ground was scorched by what seemed to be lightning strikes.

Earlier...

As Twilight teleported away, Ankyas advanced towards the Timberwolves, electrical energy arcing across the metal claws. Right, time to show these mutts what a Tenno is capable of! He thought just as the first Timberwolf leapt at him. He dodged to the side and activated his Shock power, sending a bolt of electricity smashing into the wooden canid and shocking it before the electricity arced into two more Timberwolves. He then charged forward and delivered a flurry of devastating blows with the Venkas to the first wolf, shredding it instantly. One down, three more to go… but as he turned, he saw that more had joined them. Lotus damn it! I just had to jinx myself!

He sheathed his Venkas and then pulled out his Karak. Taking aim, he opened fire, taking out three of the beasts before unleashing his Overload power and frying many of the Wolves to the point that they were reduced to ashes and bits of twigs.

But even with the amount of wolves he had taken out, there were still more to bring down.

Valkyra would have a field day if she was here… The Tenno chuckled mentally as he pulled out his duel Vipers and brought down five more Wolves. “That all you got? Seriously, even a Grineer Trooper puts up more of a fight than you mutts!” He taunted.

He suddenly felt a blow on his back as a Timberwolf landed a lucky hit, thankful it didn't breach his armor, but nonetheless it still hurt and caused his wounds to twinge. “Damn it, can't keep up for long…” the Tenno muttered before pulling out his Karak and headshotting the wolf, causing it to disintegrate, only to have two more Wolves pounce on him. “Oof!” He grunted as he was knocked to the ground from the combined weight. The Karak was knocked from his hands as he hit the ground and was lost from sight as the rest of the pack charged in to finish Ankyas off. I… will not…. fall… to these BEASTS! He mentally roared before unleashing another Overload.

Above the fight, hiding in a cloud, Rainbow Dash watched in shock. Her thoughts raced, What in Celestia's name?! Since when could he control Lightning!? He doesn't have magic, so how is he controlling it? She then remembered what Ankyas said to her when he introduced himself, “Volt. Tenno of Electricity.” Her eyes widened. “He… he actually controls electricity?” She muttered, “I.. I thought that was just a title….” Confused and shocked, she watched the battle a bit more before she realized, What am I doing?! He need help! She then jumped off her cloud and flew down, smashing into one of the Wolves, only to get hit by a wayward bolt from the Overload blast. “AAAGH!” She cried in pain as the bolt hit her.

“Rainbow!” Ankyas shouted. He grabbed his Karak after putting up an Electric Shield and ran towards the pegasus mare, only for her to back away, her eyes full of fear. “Are you okay?”

“Get away from me!” She yelled before attempting to fly away, only to wince in pain. She then ran away, attracting the attention of the few remaining wolves.

Damn it! Ankyas swore before gunning them down, but when he turned his attention back to Rainbow, she was gone.

Afterwards...

I think… that's the last of them…. The Tenno thought, his muscles aching. He then heard the sound of hooves running up the path, he turned to see Twilight and two unfamiliar mares, an orange Earth Pony with a blonde colored man along what looked like an old Earth style Stenson hat and on her flank were three apples. Next to her was a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane and three butterflies. Those must be the other two friends Twilight mentioned… he thought. Ignoring the pain of his bruises and reopened wounds, he stood up and walked over to the trio.

Fluttershy eeped and hid behind Twilight. Applejack walked cautiously over to the Tenno and introduced herself, “Howdy, the name's Applejack, welcome to Sweet Apple Acres!”

“Nice to meet you Applejack, Twilight told me a bit about you, and who’s the pegasus hiding behind her?” Ankyas said, looking over at Fluttershy.

“ My name's Fluttershy..” the yellow pegasus said while still hiding behind Twilight.

“I didn't get that last bit, could you repeat that?” The Tenno asked.

“ My name's Fluttershy…” She squeaked.

“Her name's Fluttershy, and she's well… shy.” Twilight intervened for Fluttershy.

Ankyas chuckled. His head suddenly snapped up upon hearing screams from the orchard.

“That's Nyx and the CMC!” Twilight exclaimed.

Applejack suddenly turned pale, “They musta gotten trapped at their clubhouse! Ah need to get to mah sis now!” She started to run back only to get stopped by Ankyas.

“I’ll bring them back safe and sound.” He said before running towards the direction the screams came from.

Please be careful Volt… Twilight thought, I don't want to lose Nyx… or you….

Sweet Apple Acres orchard, near the CMC clubhouse

Applejack said that clubhouse was somewhere in this orchard…. Ankyas thought as he ran towards the spot where the fillies screams were coming from. ...Ugh, who knew this place was this big? I'm never gonna find them… He slowed down and instantly the pain from his earlier fight made itself known. Gahhh, I need to take it easy with this battle….

Another scream rang out, making the Tenno jerk his head towards where it came from. Near the end of the row of trees he was standing in, a square wooden building mounted on a tree was surrounded by 10 to 15 Timberwolves, but this pack was led by a Alpha, the largest of the Timberwolves.

Oh you have got to be kidding me…. He mentally groaned before pulling out his Karak and opening fire. Three of the Wolves were taken out while the rest turned to face him, growling. The Alpha strode to the front of the pack and snarled a challenge at Ankyas, who put away his rifle and unsheathed his Venkas. “You know, I'm really tired of seeing you mutts!” The Tenno growled before charging forward, the Timberwolf Alpha doing the same, followed by the rest of its pack, “Time to put you down for good!” He swung one fist and smashed one of his Venka claws into the Alpha’s body, lifting the Timberwolf with ease. With a grunt, he threw the wooden canine into the tree, but it ended up hitting the door. As it hit, Ankyas heard a yelp from inside the clubhouse. Damn it, gotta be careful!

He then unleashed Shock on another wolf, disintegrating it and turning two more into ash, turning to slash another with his Venkas, earning a pained yelp from it before kicking the wolf into another of its pack mates. The Alpha had managed to recover and moved to flank him, only to receive a Karak salvo in the face. With a pained whimper, the Alpha disintegrated into a pile of sticks. Another Timberwolf leapt at Ankyas, only for him to dodge and it ended up smacking into the door of the clubhouse. As it stood up with a dazed look, the Tenno delivered a headshot to it. The remainder of the pack, seeing that this was a fight they could not win, retreated back to the Everfree where they came from.

The CMC clubhouse

Applebloom yelped as a Timberwolf slammed into the locked door. “That was too close girls! If we hadn't gotten in here, we woulda become Timberwolf chow!”

Sweetie Belle whimpered, “What if no one heard us? We’ll be stuck here forever!”

Scootaloo comforted the unicorn filly, while Nyx kept an eye on the door. They all jumped when another Timberwolf slammed into the door.

Suddenly a series of loud bangs were heard outside the clubhouse. “Wut in tarnation was that?” Applebloom yelped.

“I don't know!” Nyx said.

The sounds of the Timberwolves howling had been replaced with pained yelps, and they could see some of them running back to the Everfree Forest from the window.

A voice then called through the door, “Nyx, are you and your friends okay?”

Nyx recognized the voice and answered, “Volt! We’re okay, scared, but okay!”

“Who's Volt?” Scootaloo asked in a hushed voice. The other two members of the CMC shrugged, they were as clueless as the pegasus as to who this 'Volt’ was.

“Are the Timberwolves gone?” Nyx asked.

“Yep, they're gone, but we need to move fast before they come back.”

“Come on girls, let's go!” The black Alicorn filly said before opening the door and leading the others outside. As the four walked out, Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle saw the Tenno for the first time.

“W...what is that?!” Scootaloo squeaked, as the CMC huddled together, unsure if the creature in front of them would hurt them.

“This is Volt!” Nyx said, “He’s an alien from another universe! Volt, this is Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.”

“Hello girls, nice to meet the three of you.” Ankyas said, before hearing howls echoing through the orchard. “We’d better move!” He said. The four fillies nodded before running towards the farm house.

Back at the farm house

Applejack paced back and forth while Fluttershy and Twilight looked on. “It's been five hours and they’re not back yet! Ah really hope Volt and those fillies are okay..” The country mare said.

“M..me too….” Fluttershy said. Just then, a knock on the door made the three mares jump in fright.

“Twilight, I have the girls!” Ankyas’s voice called through. The three mares sighed in relief before Applejack opened the door, only to get tackled by Applebloom while the same thing happened to Twilight with Nyx. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle trotted inside, followed by the Tenno.

“Thank you so much Volt! Ah wouldn't have lived with myself if Applebloom was killed!” Applejack said, tears of happiness in her eyes as she held Applebloom close to her

He willingly put himself in danger to protect me, then did the same thing with the fillies… Twilight thought with a smile, He truly is a hero…

After Sweetie Belle was taken back home to Rarity, and Scootaloo to her parents, Twilight, Ankyas and Nyx headed back home to the library, where after a filling dinner, Twilight wrote a letter to Celestia.

“Dear Princess Celestia,

Earlier today, I made the mistake of going to Sweet Apple Acres during Zap Apple season, and me and Volt were attacked by Timberwolves. Volt then told me to get to Applejack’s house while he fought off them off, when I came back with Applejack and Fluttershy, we found the Timberwolves destroyed. He then risked his life again to save Nyx and her friends after they were trapped in their clubhouse by another pack of Timberwolves. I couldn't be more grateful to him than I am today. He truly is a protector of those in need…

She smiled before blowing out the candle and falling asleep. Meanwhile, near the base of a mountain, a portal suddenly opened up before ejecting a large shape that glided a few feet before then ejecting a humanoid figure that landed on its feet, a bow at the ready.

Hehehe, let's see what this world has to offer, and if Ankyas is here…. I’ll be able to get rid of him for good… Necronus thought with a demented chuckle before he headed towards the forest ahead of him.,

Rainbow Dash woke up in a cold sweat. What… Uuugh, what a nightmare…. She thought, yawning as she got out of her bed. Her mind went back to what had happened in the orchard before as she got ready for her weather duties. I still can't believe Volt actually controls lightning… and those weapons, they shredded the Timberwolves like they were nothing! What sort of world did he come from that he has to have those things and that kind of power?

Shaking her head, she opened her door and flew off into the morning sky. But as she did so, a black blur zipped by her, causing her to tumble from the turbulence. “Hey! Watch where you're flying!” She yelled before chasing after him. As she started to catch up to the unknown pegasus, she saw that it was a stallion with a black coat and a red mane and tail, and when he turned his head to see who was behind him, she could see his red eyes. He zipped to the left, Rainbow right on his tail. Soon, the prismatic mare was right next to him. The stallion suddenly stopped, making Rainbow fly right past him before he flew the other direction. She growled in frustration as she turned to follow him only to halt as a voice called up to her, “Rainbow, what are you doing?!”

She looked down to see Twilight looking at her with a confused look. “Some punk just buzzed me when I took off from my house!” She huffed, crossing her hooves.

The Alicorn sighed, “And you thought you’d teach him a lesson?” Twilight asked.

They both heard a snort. “Teach me a lesson? What, you were gonna pound me or something?” They looked to see the pegasus that Rainbow had been chasing hovering nearby. He gave Rainbow a cocky grin, “You couldn't even catch me! But I'm sorry for making you tumble like that, didn't realize you were nearby!” Rainbow gave the stranger an annoyed look.

“And who exactly are you? I’ve never seen you before around here!” She snapped.

“Oh, where are my manners! Name’s Chaotic Speed, or Chaotic for short. I just moved in from Cloudsdale.” The black Pegasus said. Now that he was hovering, Rainbow saw that he had a unkempt mane and tail and that his cutie mark was a single red lightning bolt. “May I ask who I have the pleasure of talking to?” Chaotic asked.

“I'm Twilight Sparkle, and this is Rainbow Dash.” Twilight said. The black pegasus’s eyes widened.

“The Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash? Two of the Element Bearers?!” He asked in disbelief. Just as Twilight was about to answer, a new voice cut in.

“Element Bearers? What exactly are you talking about?” Ankyas asked as he walked up to the trio. Chaotic jerked his head to where the Tenno was and his jaw practically hit the ground. Rainbow shivered as her nightmares resurfaced.

“Who the buck are you? What are you even?!” The pegasus asked in shock.

“The name’s Volt. As for what I am, I'm an genetically augmented human called a Tenno.” Ankyas replied, “ And as for this armor I'm wearing, it’s called a Warframe, and this particular one lets me control electricity.” He fired a bolt of lightning into the air to prove his point. As he did so, he noticed Rainbow flinching. Oh no… she must be remembering that bolt that hit her...

Chaotic chuckled, “That's actually really cool, but where exactly are you from, the Minotaur lands?” He asked the Tenno.

“Try a different universe altogether.” Ankyas said wryly. The black Pegasus looked at him as if he was joking.

“An alien? Yeah right, and I'm Prince Blueblood!” Chaotic said, snorting. The two mares gave him deadpanned looks. “Wait, you’re being serious? How… how did you get here?” He asked in surprise. Twilight rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment.

“That would be my fault, I was trying a new summoning spell, and ended up bringing Volt here.” She said with an embarrassed laugh, “But he was heavily wounded when he arrived, I don't know how, but the girls and I took him to the hospital. He’s mostly healed up, but he ended up reopening some of his wounds after fighting some Timberwolves yesterday.” The Tenno winced at that. It had been a nasty surprise when he saw that some of his wounds had been bleeding heavily when he had gotten out of his Warframe. Thankfully he remembered he had the healing mist dispenser in his Warframe and managed to activate it. Even then, it was not a pretty sight.

“W... well, I’ve gotta go! I’ve got clouds to clear!” Rainbow said, but Ankyas noticed the stutter when she spoke up.

I better apologize to her immediately... The Tenno thought as he watched the prismatic pegasus speed off. Chaotic also watched Rainbow fly away, a confused look on his face.

“Is that usually normal for her?” The pegasus asked in confusion. Twilight shook her head.

“No, not usually…. Something must’ve spooked her, because I noticed that she flinched when Volt shot that bolt of lightning….” She answered with a concerned look.

“I’ll go after her.” Ankyas said. Before Twilight could say anything, he was running in the direction that Rainbow had flown off in. The Alicorn sighed in exasperation while Chaotic chuckled before saying goodbye and flying off. Remembering that she had an appointment with Rarity, Twilight trotted off towards Carousel Boutique.

Meanwhile…

Rainbow Dash sat on a cloud overlooking the south side of Ponyville, tears dripping down her face. After she had been hit by Ankyas’ lightning bolt, she had suffered nightmare after nightmare of him charging up his power to kill her, and even though she knew it was an accident, his power… terrified her.

“Rainbow?” The Tenno’s voice called up to her, “Are you okay?”

She looked down to see Volt standing below her. “N...No, I'm not okay! Don't you have something else to do other than bother m..me?” She growled, but her voice started to crack as she said this.

“Rainbow, I saw you flinch when I shot that bolt of lightning into the sky. I should have realized that you were scared of what I was capable of...” Volt replied. The mare didn't answer, but he picked up the sounds of muted sobbing. All he could see of her now was her rainbow colored tail.

“Scared? I suffered nightmares because of what happened!” She finally answered, her voice shaking. “Why are you even here?”

“Because Twilight’s concerned about you, same with me. I may not know you as well as your friends, but even I know when something is troubling someone else.” The Tenno said.

The mare flew down from her cloud and landed in front of Volt. “When I was hit by that lightning bolt… ” She said while choking back a sob, “I thought I was gonna die, I’ve been hit by lightning from storms, but yours… it was unlike anything I had ever felt. ”

Volt knelt down and lifted Rainbow’s head to look at him. “I never meant to hit you. I'm sorry that I hurt you, and.. I hope you can forgive me... ” He said, his helmet hiding his expression. He stood up and turned to leave, only to feel Rainbow fly into him and hug him.

“I do forgive you, I was just really scared….” The pegasus said, her eyes wet with tears, “But you definitely became 20% cooler.” She and Volt chuckled at that.

“Come on, I think Twi might want to talk with you.” The Tenno said before the two headed towards Rarity’s house.

Carousel Boutique

“So how is Volt doing fitting in? Last time I saw him walking the town, he was looking nervous.” Rarity asked as she levitated the teapot over to her and Twilight.

“He’s gotten a lot better, but he’ll still get nervous if there's too many ponies around.” The Alicorn replied, taking a sip from her cup. “He just went to look for Rainbow after she flew away all of a sudden.”

The white unicorn arched an eyebrow, “That is strange, usually she’ll stay and chat with you before flying off! Any reason why?” She asked.

“No, but I noticed her flinching when Volt was showing a new pony here his ability.” Twilight said with a frown, “If I didn't know any better, I’d say she was afraid of his power…”

“Hmm… Well I did see her fly past me yesterday, but when she saw Volt nearby, she looked… scared.” Rarity said, “I don't know what happened, but she wouldn't even talk of the subject when I asked her!” Twilight looked at her in surprise.

“You don't think she’s scared of what Volt is capable of, do you?” The Alicorn asked.

Before Rarity could answer, there was a knock at the door. “Coming!” She called before trotting over and opening the door. Seeing Rainbow Dash and Ankyas standing in front of her, she said, “ Well hello you two! We were just about talking about the both of you, is everything okay?” She then asked, noticing Rainbow’s tear-stained face.

“Yeah, everything's okay, I just need to talk to Twi about something.” Rainbow said. Rarity nodded then beckoned the two inside.

As they walked in,Twilight trotted up to them. “Are you okay Rainbow? You had me worried when you flew away like that!” She said before looking at the Tenno. “Where was she?” She asked him.

“On a cloud in the south side of town. She has quite the story to tell you…” He replied, nodding at the cyan pegasus.

As Rainbow recounted what had happened to her when she went to help Ankyas and what happened after, Twilight and Rarity’s faces showed their shock and sympathy for what had befallen their friend. As soon as the pegasus finished her story, she found herself in a massive hug from the two mares.

“I'm so sorry you had to go through that…” Twilight said, “I’d feel the same way if that happened to me or any of the others.”

Rarity nodded, “I agree darling. Thank you for telling us, if we had known sooner, we would have helped you, because that's what friends do.”

Rainbow smiled before hugging her friends back, “Thanks guys, you’re right, I should've come to you.” She said, “I was too caught up in my own nightmares to bother you guys, and let my fear get to me.”

She looked over at Ankyas, “But I know now that I shouldn't let fear control me.” She continued, “And that I always have my friends to help me.”

Ankyas smiled under his helmet as she said this. You’ll go far someday… he thought before Twilight said, “You asked who the Element Bearers were, right?” The Tenno nodded. “You're looking at three of them.” She giggled.

Ankyas's eyes widened under his helmet, but he kept his voice calm as he asked, “What exactly are these 'Elements’?”

Twilight frowned as she realized something. “Right, you still need to learn about Equestria’s history. Well, I have a book that you can read when we get back to the library.” She said.

Rainbow rolled her eyes. “Don't go turning him into an egghead, Twi.” She snickered.

Ankyas chuckled as Twilight gave her friend an annoyed look.

After saying farewell to Rarity, Rainbow flew off to her weather duties, while Twilight and Ankyas went to pick up Nyx from school. On the way there, Ankyas noticed that the pegasus from before was zipping around. But as he looked ahead, he suddenly heard a voice come out of nowhere. “ Oh ho ho, Now you're something new! I don't think I've seen a human for quite some time! Not after those two in that other universe!” He looked around wildly for the source.

“Discord! What are you up to this time?!” Twilight yelled in exasperation. The voice chuckled.

“Nothing dear Twilight, just wanted to see the creature that raised such a ruckus a few days ago! So much chaos was created that I had to see what was going on!” It said.

A flash of light appeared in front of the two and when it cleared, the oddest creature the Tenno was standing in front of him. It had the head of a goat, the arms were a lion’s paw and a eagle talon, his body was sinewy like a snake with a hoof and a dragon's claw for feet. A single fang showed outside its mouth. “What in Lotus’s name are you?!” Ankyas asked in shock. The creature looked surprised.

“What, you don't know who I am? I'm hurt, shocked even!” As it said this, electricity arced all over him, making him shudder. The Tenno raised an eyebrow as he watched this. This guy for real? He thought. “Oh you better believe it!” The creature said with a grin. Wha-? How the hell did he know what I was thinking?! Ankyas thought in shock “Your thoughts were showing, old boy!” The creature said, pointing above the Tenno's head.

Ankyas looked up to see what he had thought was above him in some sort of bubble. “Who exactly are you?” He growled, electricity arcing on the rings on his armor.

“The name's Discord, Lord of Chaos, Spirit of mischief, etc. etc.” The creature said, bowing with a flourish, “And you must be Volt, though when are you going to tell Twilight and her friends your real name?” He asked, receiving a hidden glare from the Tenno. Twilight looked at the Draconequus in confusion before her expression turned into one of annoyance.

“Discord, we’re not in the mood for your games!” She snapped, “I have to pick up Nyx!” Discord rolled his eyes before suddenly appearing next to her.

“And miss out seeing a Tenno? By the way, I loved the way you took out that Grineer Trooper squad leader! Shame your team was taken out before - ACK!” Discord said before being grabbed by the throat by the now angry Tenno.

“I may not have saved them, but I sure as hell don't need you to remind me of my failure!” He yelled, electrical energy arcing all around his armor. Discord's eyes widened in shock and fear before Ankyas let go and stormed off. The Draconequus looked at Twilight, who also had a look of shock at the Tenno's outburst.

“I…. I think I got a bit too personal with him on that last bit….” Discord said, rubbing his throat. Twilight gave him an exasperated look before continuing on her way to pick Nyx up.

Why the bloody hell did that idiot have to bring that subject up? Ankyas thought angrily as he walked to the outskirts of Ponyville, I know I screwed up, I didn't need to be reminded of it!

“Yo Volt! What's the matter bro?” A voice called from above him. He looked up to see the black Pegasus from earlier hovering above him. “You okay dude? By the way, do you remember my name?” The pegasus asked.

“Does it look like I'm okay? And yes, I do. Chaotic Speed.” The Tenno snapped, electricity still arcing from earlier. The pegasus arched an eyebrow.

“Geez, what got you so worked up?” He asked.

Ankyas nodded, having calmed down a bit. “It’s… not something I like talking about…” He said, “It happened just before I was brought here.” Chaotic’s eyebrow was still arched. When the Tenno had snapped at him, he was understandably miffed, but now his curiosity got the best of him.

“What happened?” He asked.

The Tenno sighed. “The day that I was brought here, My team and I were on a mission to take out a high priority target…”

“Alright guys, the target is on the command bridge, we need to take him out quickly and without alerting everyone on the ship. Any questions?” Ankyas asked the three Tenno in front of him as they crouched in a vent. Emeria, Lokan, and Rhawn shook their heads before Ankyas kicked the grate out and the four ninjas dropped down. Emeria was in her familiar Ember Warframe, equipped with a Soma, with a massive clip size of 100, twin Grakatas, with a total of 120 shots, and a Lacera electric blade-and-whip while Lokan and Rhawn were in their respective Loki and Rhino Warframes. Lokan was equipped with a Boltor, capable of firing, slow,heavy bolts, capable of impaling the toughest enemies, Detron, a radiation-based shotgun-pistol, and an Orthos, a long pole with two blades at each end, while Rhawn was armed with a Stradavar, a gun capable of switching from semi-auto fire to full-auto, dual Akboltos, with a high rate of fire, and damage, and a Scindo, a heavy battle-axe. Volt was equipped with his Karak, a standard-issue Grineer rifle, Dual Vipers, capable of firing both its clips in under three seconds, and Venka claws, able to turn enemies into messy piles of what they used to be.

The mission had gone without a hitch, but as the four Tenno were fighting their way out, one Grineer Lancer managed to hit the alarm. Soon every unit in the ship was on the alert for the Tenno. “We need to split up, get to the extraction point!” Ankyas ordered, “I’ll meet you there!” The others nodded, before heading off in different directions, but before she left, Emeria put a hand on his shoulder.

“Please be careful…” She said before heading off.

With the four Tenno spread out, the Grineer forces had trouble tracking them, but soon, one by one, they were taken out. Emeria was killed by two Troopers that ambushed her as she ran through a hallway. Rhawn managed to fight for a whole hour before being slain by a squad of Elite Lancers. Lokan was pinned down by a squad of Troopers before being taken out by a Ballista squad. Ankyas was cut down just as he reached the extraction point, he managed to kill the Lancer squad Commander before being shredded, he would've died if not for Twilight's spell pulling him into Equestria….

The Tenno looked at Chaotic. “That's why I was upset when you found me, I was reminded of what happened from Discord.” The Tenno snorted.

“Don't mind him, he’ll rile you up one way or another. Trust me, I found that out a few minutes after you.” The black pegasus said. “But I'm sorry that you lost your team. I would feel the same way if I was unable to help my friends.”

“Except if I hadn't ordered to split up, we all would have survived!” Ankyas snapped only to receive a hoof to the face.

“Will ya snap the hell out of it!? You did what you thought was best! No one could have known what would’ve happened!” Chaotic growled.

“There was another reason why I was upset, I… never got to tell Emeria how I felt about her. Now I'll never get the chance.” He sank to his knees. “I loved her, more than I could admit…” He felt a hoof on his shoulder.

“Dude, now you have a second chance at life. You should be happy for that.” Chaotic said with a great amount of sympathy.

“I agree.” A familiar voice joined the conversation. The two turned to see Twilight trotting up to them. “You had me worried when I got back to the Library with Nyx! I didn't know where you were until somepony mentioned that they saw you walking to the outskirts!” She said, poking the Tenno in the chest while glaring at him with frustration. “Why did you grab Discord like that? I’ve never seen you so angry like that…” she said.

Ankyas sighed. “Because he mentioned an event that I would rather forget…” he said. “An event that would have ended in my death… if you hadn't brought me here.” Twilight looked at him in shocked disbelief. “I’ll tell you about it when we get back.” The Tenno said. Twilight nodded before chatting a bit with Chaotic.

I honestly wish I hadn't told the team to split up… Emeria would have survived…. Ankyas thought with a mental sigh. But what happened happened… and I have to live with my guilt.

He was suddenly aware of screams coming from the town. He whipped around just in time to see Rainbow Dash plow into the ground nearby. What in…?! How was she sent flying all the way to here? He thought in astonishment and confusion.

“Rainbow, what happened?!” Twilight asked as she ran to her friend, Ankyas and Chaotic right behind her. The cyan pegasus coughed as she stood up before crying out in pain. One of her wings hung limply.

“Some whacko just appeared out of nowhere and started shooting people with a bow in Ponyville Square!! When I went to stop him, he just laughed and sent me flying all the way over here!” Rainbow said. “He was in some sort of armor, but the look of it made me feel like the grim reaper was here… and… he was like Volt, human.” Ankyas looked at Rainbow in shock.

Impossible… I thought I was the only Tenno here… the armor Rainbow described… Oh god no, not him! Ankyas thought. “Twilight, we need to get everyone away from him.” The Tenno said, “I’ll deal with this invader, you get Rainbow to the hospital, Chaotic, tell anypony nearby to get to their homes immediately!” The two ponies nodded. Chaotic zipped off while Twilight teleported with Rainbow to the hospital. Ankyas ran towards Ponyville Square to confront the attacker. But what he saw shocked him to the core. In front of him was a Nekros Frame with a bow known as the Dread, a Ballistica crossbow and dual daggers called the Fang, surrounded by wounded ponies that were practically crawling away from him in fear and pain.

“Hello Ankyas. Didn't expect you to be here…” the Tenno said to him. “At least now I can get rid of you and take over the clan.” He chuckled maniacally. “And here I thought you had died on that raid…”

“Necronus…” Ankyas growled. “I should have kicked you from the clan all those years ago!” He unsheathed his Venka while Necronus brought out his Fang daggers. “This time you’ll fall!” He roared before the two clashed.

The two Tenno slammed into each other, Ankyas blocking a vicious slash from Necronus’ Fang Daggers while Necrona in turn dodged a stab from Ankyas' Venkas.

“How did you even get here?!” Ankyas snarled, “You weren't even on the ship I was on when I was brought here!”

Necronus chuckled madly.
“Would you believe that I found this place on one of my excursions on the Orokin Moon?” He asked. “A portal brought my ship here”

“The Orokin Moon? But that's all the way in the Origin System! We aren't in the Origin System anymore, we’re in a completely different universe!” Ankyas growled.

“These aren't the Grineer or the Corpus, not even Infested! Yet you hurt them for sport! You always were the sadistic one when it came to hurting others…” He said before leaping back and pulling out his Karak.

“This time, I will not stand by and let someone hurt those I promised to protect!” He roared before opening fire at Necrona.

“And your team was any different?!” Necronus yelled as he dove for cover. “Your ‘protection’ is weak, just like you!”

“You think I don't think about what happened to my team?! I have to live with what happened to them every day! I never got to tell Emeria how I felt about her!” Ankyas yelled as he unleashed a Shock at Necronus, before charging with his Venkas unsheathed. The electrical blast smashed into Necronus, knocking him onto his back.

“Oh hoo hoo, just like old times!” he cackled before suddenly getting blasted with a pie from out of nowhere.

“What the..?!” He growled, looking around for the source. He soon spotted one of the creatures that were running around in a panic manning what looked like a old Earth cannon.

“... Really now? You think that old thing can help you?” Necronus taunted.
The pink pony grinned before pulling the string attached to the cannon and with a bang along with a bunch of confetti, it fired a cake at the Tenno.

“What in..?!” He exclaimed before ducking to avoid the ballistic pastry. He glared at the now sheepish pony.

“You, my little friend, just made yourself my new shooting gallery!” He growled as he aimed his bow at her. Her eyes widened in fear as he pulled back the arrow.

“Pinkie, get out of here!” Ankyas yelled at her as he tackled Necronus. The crazed Tenno swore as Ankyas slammed into him and stabbed one of his Venka into a gap in his armor.

“Get off of me!” Necronus yelled before kicking Ankyas off and returning his gaze to his target, only to find that she had disappeared. He roared in frustration .“Big mistake!” He growled before delivering a powerful kick to Ankyas' midsection.

“Ooof!” Ankyas grunted before flying into a nearby building. Necronus advanced towards him, drawing his Fang daggers in the process. Ankyas struggled to get up, but was then pinned down by Necronus’ foot on his chest.

“Once I get back, I'll be sure to tell Excalan that you had fought bravely before I replace him. A few years in a cell might do him some good!” Necronus chuckled dementedly,

“This is where we part ways, but you won't live to see it!” He said as he raised his weapons to deliver the killing blow, only to be hit with a blast of magic from behind.

“Who…?!” He snarled as he turned around only to see another creature with both wings and a horn, glaring at him.

“Get away from Volt!” She yelled. Necronus burst out laughing.

“He never told you his actual name?! Oh this is too rich!” He guffawed. “Guess he didn't trust you as much as you thought if he didn't tell you his real name!”

She looked at him in confusion. “But… he does trust me…” she said, her voice starting to break as his words hit home. Her eyes filled with tears.

Necronus chuckled before sheathing his daggers and pulling out his Ballistica.

“Why don't I put you out of your misery so you don't have to deal with the shame of it?” He said before taking aim at her, grinning madly under his helmet.

At this, something ignited in Ankyas' mind. With a roar, he shoved Necronus’ foot off his chest, making the crazed Tenno stumble back and causing his aim to be jolted, the bolt missing Twilight by inches, making her yelp in surprise and fear.

“YOU WILL NOT HURT HER!” He roared before dealing a devastating punch to Necronus, sending him flying into a nearby stall. He then activated his Speed ability and in a flash was delivering blow after blow to Necronus.

“I’ve put up with you for too long Necronus, time to put you in your place!” He snarled before delivering one last punch that knocked the crazed Tenno unconscious.

He panted, standing over Necronus. The former's armor was dented from the powerful blows dealt by the electric Tenno. As he turned, he saw Twilight looking at him in shock and amazement.

“You… you did that… to protect me? Why?” She asked, her voice shaking from the near death experience.

“Because I promised that I would protect you and your friends, no matter the cost. I already lost people I cared about, I didn't want to lose you or your friends .” He said, taking off his helmet and giving Twilight a smile. Twilight's eyes widened as her mind registered what he meant and she ran to Ankyas, enveloping him in a hug while crying into his shoulder.

“Th... thank you….” She sobbed, “Thank you for saving everyone here…” A groan was heard as Necronus started to stir but the two ignored it for now.

At that moment, the sound of wings were heard. Both Ankyas and Twilight looked up to see a phalanx of Pegasi in gold armor flying down, and leading them was Celestia herself.
As they landed, the ponies that had come outside of their homes to cheer for Ankyas bowed, Twilight doing the same while Ankyas knelt down with one arm on his knee while his hand was on the ground.

“You need not bow to me Twilight.” Celestia reminded the lavender Alicorn with a gentle smile before turning to Ankyas with a serious look. “Spike had written that an unknown attacker had rampaged through Ponyville, may I ask where he is now?” She said. The Tenno turned to reveal Necronus now sitting up and rubbing his head. The Nekros Frame looked up to see the Alicorn princess glaring down at him. He made to unsheathe his daggers only to have Ankyas' Venka at his throat.

“Don't even think about it….” The electric Tenno growled. Necronus glared at Ankyas before removing his hands from the daggers.

“Raise your hands in the air or we will use deadly force on you!” A Guard ordered. Necronus compiled, but smirked under his helmet.

“See you around, Ankyas.” He chuckled before activating Terrify, causing the ponies to suddenly cower in fear as their minds were swamped with nightmarish visions, but Ankyas thankfully was unaffected, but even then he had trouble getting to Necronus, the ponies blocking his way giving the Nekros time to get away, and by the time the Volt frame got to where Necronus was, the crazed Tenno was gone.

This isn't over Necronus… I’ll make sure you don't harm anyone if it's the last thing I do… Ankyas thought. Twilight trotted up to him, having recovered from Necronus’ ability.

“You have a lot of explaining to do…” she said, poking him in the chest. Ankyas chuckled.

“That I do…. And I owe you and the others an apology, I should have told you my real name, but I wasn't sure how trustworthy you were.” He hung his head in shame. “I hope that you can forgive me.” Twilight blinked then gave the Tenno a smile.

“I already forgave you, from the moment you saved me from that maniac. Who was he by the way?”

“One of the more… unhinged members of my clan named Necronus.” Ankyas said “He’s challenged me more than once only for me to teach him his place. But when he’s not doing that, he’s usually a nice guy.”

Twilight shuddered. “That power he used, I saw things that I can't even describe… and some things that I never want to see again…” She sat down and wrapped her wings around herself as she shivered from what she had seen. A hand on her shoulder made her look up at Ankyas who looked at her in sympathy.

“I can understand that, I'm guessing this world hasn't see war or any kind of fighting for a while has it?” The Tenno asked.

“Not for centuries.” Celestia said, trotting up to them.
“The last battle was against the Gryphons in 1198. Since then we haven't had a major battle or war.”

“Hmm…” Ankyas rubbed his chin before saying, “If Necronus was able to find a way into Equestria from a different universe, then I fear that more deadly foes will appear.”

Celestia's eyes widened at what the Tenno was implying. “You don't mean…” She said.

“It's time I told you about my universe, and the threats that may end up coming here to Equestria.” Ankyas said before Chaotic appeared with the uninjured members of the Mane 6.
