It had been a day since Twilight and the Harmony Bearers had been soulmated, as Luna like to call it. In that day, Slam had started raising an army of sorts. All the bodies that had their souls removed were completely under their control. However, Luna had a plan. She knew of the animation spell that Twilight had used to make her children. Luna had requested that one of her best Lunar Guards to come to her room. Nightshade. He was the best at his job. The strongest, fastest, stealtheast and creepiest of her Lunar Guard.

He should be here any seco-knock knock knock. Luna looked at the door.

"Come in!" she said. The door opened to revel Nightshade. He barred his fangs in a grin.

"Good evening," he said in a fake Ponylvania accent. Luna giggled.

"Good evening Nightshad," she said. "Are you ready?"

"Yes, my queen," Nightshade said as he took Luna's hoof and kissed it. Dropping the accent, he then asked "May I ask what exactly am I ready for?" Luna blushed.

"You know of Princess Twilight's animation spell, correct?" Luna asked. Nightshade nodded. "I am going to need you to help me use the spell. The child needs another parent."

"Ok," he said. "Are you sure the other parent has to be me?" Luna nodded.

"You are the best at your post," Luna said. "The child must have your abilities and strengths." Nightshade nodded.

"Ok," he said. "But ponies will ask who the father is, and that might get me fired from my post serving under you." Luna blushed.

"Ok, don't worry," she said. "You will not be fired. Now, I have chosen the object. Are you ready?"

"Sure," Nightshade said. "What is the object?" Luna smiled as she pulled out a box that was under her bed. Then she opened the box and showed Nightshade. There was a hiss. But not from Nightshade. Inside the box was a snake. A dark grey snake. Nightshade nodded.

"Ok, cast the spell," he said. Luna nodded as she started to charge up the spell. As she felt it reach it's peek, she released the spell. The been of white light, looking a little like moonlight, struck Nightshade, and bounched off of him and onto the snake. The snake started wiggling around, twisting and turning, hissing in apparent pain. Then there was a big flash of light, and knocked both Luna and Nightshade out.

Luna moaned as she started waking up.

"My queen!" she heard Nightshade exclaim. "You are alright!" Luna opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was Nightshade's face. Then she noticed another face besides his. She had dark grey, almost black fur, with red hair. Her eyes were a greyish color.

"It worked!" Luna said. Nightshade looked at the filly next to him and smiled.

"Yes," he said. "It did work. Meet your daughter, Hebiihime." She heard a voice say "You forgot about us!" with a slight Japonines accent. But Hebiihime's mouth did not move. Actually, all she was doing at the moment was staring at Luna. Luna was not able to read any emotions on Hebiihime's face. But Luna did notice a horn slightly protruding from beneath Hebiihime's hair.

"Yeah, don't forget about us, homes!" she heard another voice say. This one had a slight Mexicolt accent. Finally, Hebiihime moved. She looked behind her and said "Please stop. Mom here is taking this all in." Luna finally stood up. What she saw surprised her. She had thestral wings. Luna smiled.

Good, she is an alicorn, she thought. And besides from an actual tail, Hebiihime had two other stalks coming out of her rump, and thestral wings. Those two stalks had a head on the end. Snake heads. Their hair colors were the same shades as Hebiihime, but yet the coloring position was reveresed with each head. The one with the shorter snout spoke.

"Hello!" it said. This was the one with the Mexicolt accent. "How you doing?" Luna stared at it.

"Please, if you are going to speak to her, speak with some respect!" the other one said. This one's snout was longer, and it was the one with the Japonies accent. "She is the princess!"

"Yes, but she's also our mom!" the short snouted one said. "Well, kinda. She's Hebiihime's mom, and we're part of Hebiihime."

"How did this happen?" Luna asked Nightshade while the two heads bickered. Nightshade shrugged.

"I wish I knew," he said. "When I woke up, I saw Hebiihime and those two heads talking. Has the animation spell ever been casted on a living thing before?" Luna shook her head.

"I don't think so," she said. "This is a first." Luna looked at Hebiihime, who was looking at Luna. After a few seconds, Hebiihime turned around and poked the two snake heads. They stopped talking and looked at her. She smiled and turned around to look at Luna and Nightshade again.

"So, I must stop something," Hebiihime said. "My quest. What is it?" Luna looked at Nightshade. He shrugged.

"I didn't say anything," he said.

"You two didn't have to," Hebiihime said. "The snake that I was about 10 minutes ago heard you guys talking about this something. I cannot remember what specifically, but there is something that I needed to stop. That was the point of my creation." Luna's mouth was hanging open.

"You remember things from your life as a snake?" she finally asked. Hebiihime Smiled and shook her head.

"No," she giggled. The she started laughing. "I'm sorry, I know that this is serious, but I couldn't help it!" Luna smiled as Nightshade started to snicker as well.

"Well, it is good to see that you have a sense of humor," Luna said. "But...you are right. This is rather serious. So let's get cracking! To the training room!"

Training dummies and naming snakes

As Luna, Nightshade and Hebiihime walked into the training room, Nightshade asked Luna a question that had been bugging him.

"Why a snake?" he asked. Luna looked surprised at the question.

"Well, a snake is a powerful creature," she said. "They're sneaky, and can be surprisingly strong. Now, you're the expert with this arena. How do we start a test?" Nightshade looked around the room until he spotted the switch, and pointed at it.

"That switch right there activates a bunch of training dummies of varying difficulties," he said. He looked at Hebiihime as he flew over to the switch. He was still getting over that he had a daughter, and with the princess of the moon, no less! "Hey, Hebiihime, are you ready for some training?" Hebiihime nodded.

"No time like the present," Hebiihime said. Nightshade flipped the switch, and a bunch of different colored pony training dummies appeared in a flash. Hebiihime glanced at the training dummies. "So how do I activate them? Do I just punch it?"

"Attack that blue one over there," Nightshade said, pointing to a dummy. "That's the easiest level in the room." Hebiihime nodded.

"Just punch it!" the short snouted snake head said. "You can do it!"

"Yes, hit it!" the longer snouted head said. "You must learn your abilities so you can improve on them!" Hebiihime looked at the longer snouted one.

"You're very smart, aren't you?" she asked. The long snouted head nodded. "I think I'm going to call you.... Sumāto."

"Japanese for smart," Sumāto said. He bowed his head. "Thank you, most honorable one."

"Hey, what about me?" the short snouted one asked.

"I think Corto fits you," Hebiihime said.

"Corto?" he said with a frown. "Isn't that Spanish for short?"

"Yes," Hebiihime said. "Just like your patience." Luna and Nightshade snickered.

"Now, let us practice!" Nightshade exclaimed. "Punch the dummy!" Hebiihime faced the blue dummy, pulled back her hoof, and socked the dummy in the face. It's head flew across the room and splintered against the wall. Everyone gasped.

"Wow, you weren't kidding when you said snakes were powerful," Nightshade said to Luna. He looked at Hebiihime. "Ok, that was really good. Now, how about you use some magic on the next one."

"But I don't know any spells," Hebiihime said. "Knowledge is power, and I have no knowledge of any spells."

"That's a good point," Luna said. "I should've brought some books down with us. I'll go get some." There was a flash of light and Luna disappeared.

"You are very powerful," Nightshade commented.

"Thanks," Hebiihime said, a light blush on her cheeks. "You are my father, after all." Nightshade pointed at her horn.

"Yeah, that and you're an alicorn," he said. "Alicorn's are much more powerful than any other tribe."

"Thanks," Hebiihime said. There was another flash of light, and Luna was there again.

"I have gotten the required books!" she exclaimed. "Now, let's get practicing!"

Hebiihime and Luna spent the next hour or so practicing magic. Hebiihime destroyed the training dummies-both literally and figuratively. She was great at magic, and very powerful, almost as powerful as Twilight already, despite having just being created. Finally, Hebiihime was on the final dummy. This one was bright red, and fought back, both with magic and hooves.

"You can do this!" Sumāto exclaimed. Hebiihime got into a good stance, popped a few joints, and fired a beem of fire at the dummy. The dummy reacted instantly, and dodged the beem. It twirled and threw it's hoof. Corto managed to redirect it by punching it with his face. Hebiihime fired another beem of fire at the dummy, this time successful in hitting it. It's head was now in flames, and the fire was spreading. Hebiihime charged up a beem and released it, this time blasting the dummy with ice. The ice spread, until it cam into contact with the fire. The fire and ice met and started fighting to gain ground. It was the ice that won, which began to in case the dummy entirely. A few seconds, the ice started cracking, until it (and the dummy inside of it) shattered. Luna and Nightshide started stomping their hooves.

"Impressive," Corto said. "Using opposite extreme tempatures to destroy it."

"That was awesome!" Nightshade exclaimed. "The most that had ever been destroyed in a day by one pony before was only to 30- the orange one. But you-" Nightshade shook his head in amazement- "You destroyed them all! And all within like, 3 hours! It's a good thing Princess Luna is here to testify, because that is otherwise unbelievable!" Hebiihime blushed.

"Thanks!" she said. "That was really fast, but I hade good teachers-you two!"

"And parents," Sumāto said. "You have brought great honer to both families." Luna and Nightshade blushed.

"Thanks," Nightshade said. "Honestly, all this is happening rather quickly."

"Like a bad storyline," Corto said.

"Or a writer who doesn't know how to pace the story well," Sumāto said. "But I think either works."

"Well, as confusing and intresting that is," Luna said. "We need to figure out Slam's attack pattern."

"If we figure that out, we could figure out where he'll attack next," Nightshade said.

"And then we can prepare for him," Corto said.

"And we fight him," Hebiihime said.

"And hopefully we free all those soulmated ponies," Sumāto said.

"Let's figure this stuff out," Hebiihime said as Luna teleported them.

Pattern

About 3 hours later, Hebiihime was shaken till she was awake by Nightshade.

"I'm up!" she said. "I'm sorry I fell asleep!" Nightshade frowned.

"Why are you apologizing?" he asked. "You're, like, 15, and you were created yesterday. You've been testing for a few hours as well. You don't need to apologize." Hebiihime nodded.

"Ok, sorry," she said. "Now, we need to figure out Slam's pattern! Where has he attacked so far?"

"He has attacked 9 cities and 5 towns," Luna said, pointing at some cities on the map. "He seems to be coming here, to Canterlot." Hebiihime nodded.

"Yeah, that would be the logical thing, I guess," she said. "But it's kind of a zig zag pattern, and in case he's not, what's the population of each city he has attacked?" Luna frowned.

"I'm not sure," she said. "But they are pretty big, and he did soulmate almost every pony in each one. I'll check."

"Actually, I know," Nightshade said. "Each city had a population of about 40,000 ponies." Sumāto frowned.

"And saying that he missed, let's say 2,000 ponies at maximum and 1,000 ponies at minimum, he could have anywhere in between 342,000 and 351,000 ponies, give or take a few thousand," he said. "And that's not conting the towns he's attacked!" Luna's jaw was wide in surprise.

"That's massive," she said. "How has he managed to soulmate this many ponies in this short amount of time?"

"Magic, probably," Corto said. "A crazyton of magic."

"That's about half of the Royal Guards and Night Guards combined," Nightshade said. "So he's probably not going to attack Canterlot, not yet."

"So he'll probably try and take the next most populated city," Sumāto said. "Where's the closest most populated area to where he attacked last?"

The wasted remains of Appleloosa lay at Slam's hooves. He had rounded up every last pony living there, and unfortunately, that had meant having to destroy a few buildings. Not that it mattered. They could be rebuilt. The next place on his list to attack was Cloudsdale. Fortunately, it had been a few miles south of Appleloosa the last time he had checked.

The Royal Guards had been debriefed, and were marching towards Appleloosa. Of course, when they saw smoke rising from where it was, they started going faster. It had been destroyed. Nopony was there, either, and was eerily silent.

"He's been busy," Nightshade said. "The entire town. Wow." Hebiihime hung her head.

"Where's the next nearest city?" she asked.

"I think-" Nightshade started to say when a guard shouted out "It's Cloudsdale! Their under attack!" Everyone looked up to see that Cloudsdale was indeed under attack.

"That would be the next nearest city," Corto said. "We better get up there!" Hebiihime unfurled her wings and started flapping.

"Wait, we need a plan!" Luna said. "Not everpony here has wings!

"I'll cast a mass teleportation spell!" Hebiihime said. Her horn started glowing, the spell charging up, then was released in a bright flash of light. Then they were all on Cloudsdale. There were some gasps as the non-pegasus ponies gasped, expecting to fall, but Hebiihime had thought ahead and casted a cloud walking spell on them as well. Hebiihime faltered and almost fell over.

"How did you do that?" Luna asked. "You just teleported a hundred guards!" Hebiihime shrugged.

"I guess I have a lot of magic potential," she said. "That or maybe because I was angered by seeing that town in ruins and that gave me some kind of boost."

"Anyway, now that we're here, what's the plan?" Nightshade asked.

"Why not just attack?" Corto said. Sumāto made a tsk sound.

"Because we have the element of surprise!" he said. "We should use that to our advantage!"

"Sumāto has a point," Luna said. "We should use that to our advantage! Everypony, gather round! We need to make a plan!"
