When eight new ponies arrive in Ponyville, with the story that they aren't from that universe, it is up to the Mane six to help them find their way back home.
After an explosion brought nine new ponies to the land of Equestria, Twilight finds out something strange. There is not just one alternate universe. There are hundreds, and these ponies come from one and want to get home. With magic, humor, superheroes, super villains and even stranger, can Twilight and her friends get these ponies home?
I sat at one of the many tables in the library, reading a book that Princess Celestia had suggested. The sun had just set, and my friends had already gone home to sleep. Spike was asleep on one of the tables nearby, a blanket tucked around him. As I read, I reached a chapter titled, “Alternate Dimensional Travel” I read on, my magic casting a magenta light over the words.
“Alternate Dimensional travel is considered one of the most difficult forms of magic known to ponykind. It requires many elements to cast the spell; some nearly impossible to get, some being the most expensive rarities in Equestria, some having to be created by alicorn magic, making it almost impossible to achieve. The only recorded time it has been achieved was by Princesses Luna and Celestia, but they would not share how it was done. Although, they did say that they did this because a pony they knew as fillies had attempted it. After that, he was never seen again.” I mumbled the last words to myself.
“Never seen again? Maybe that pony succeeded and is is in a different universe. Maybe it’s like when I went to Canterlot High! Maybe if he is in a another universe, he was changed to look like the beings of that universe!. I have to find out more. Maybe I could actually achieve travel if I do enough research.” I flew around the library, grabbing every book I could concerning Alternate Dimensional Travel. Eventual, I had a stack about 12 books, not as much as I had hoped, but they still contained information I could use. I read past midnight, ignoring the cuckoo clock in the other room occasionally signaling the time and fatigue that gnawed at my mind. As I reached the final book, my head swum with all I had read. It was fascinating, the concepts, theories, all of the experiments conducted trying to travel. I opened the book with a bit of magic and began reading. Suddenly, the ground started rumbling violently and the sky started lightening rapidly. Is it an earthquake? Is the sun being raised to early? I ran to the window, shielding my eyes as the light and rumbling intensified. This is definitely not normal, the light wasn’t coming from the surrounding area, it was coming from a single point maybe 100 yards in the air
“SPIKE!! WAKE UP!!” He shot up, and instantly shielded his eyes.
“What the hay? Twilight, what’s going on?” He ran up to me, then backed away, staring into the origin of the light.
“What is that?” He asked fearfully. I shook my head.
“I don’t know. Get on.” I opened my wings and he hoped on. I ran to the nearest balcony and flew out and into the sky. As I flew, the wind started getting stronger and stronger, until I had to stop or I would be whisked away. I was still over 30 feet away, but I could see little things coming out of the portal, as if trying to escape, but immediately being sucked back in. Spike clutched onto my mane so tightly, I felt a few hairs leave their pores and fly into the storm.
“SPIKE, CAN YOU SEE ANYTHING?” I asked, yelling just to be heard above the gale.
“NO!! I’M TO SCARED TO OPEN MY EYES!!” I nodded in understanding, and turned to the light, squinting against the light just to see into it. As I looked, I saw many different colors, objects, places even, being swirled on the inside of the point. Wait, PLACES?! I looked again, and sure enough, I saw a tiny glimpse of Canterlot High, students milling through the campus. This was no ordinary magic. This was Alternate Dimensional travel, just like what I was reading about. Suddenly, Rainbow Dash zoomed up next to me, her mane flying everywhere.
“TWI! SPIKE!! WHAT THE CELESTIA IS THAT?!” She asked, staring at it in awe.
“A PORTAL TO CROSS TO DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS!!” I yelled back.
“I THOUGHT THE MIRROR WAS THE ONLY FORM OF DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL!”
“I DID TOO!! BUT APPARENTLY WE WERE WRONG!!” Spike yelled, still clutching tightly. She nodded, then her eyes widened.
“DOWN! GET TO THE GROUND!!”
“WHAT?!” Before I could ask anymore, she had grabbed my hoof and was dragging me down so fast, I had to tuck in my wings so my leg wouldn’t be dislocated. As soon as we touched the ground, the portal exploded in an explosion of color and wind, leaving us laying on our backs, seeing stars. I shook them away quickly and looked back up. The portal was gone, but in its place were nine small black dots, falling quickly through the air. Rainbow gasped.
“Those are ponies!!” She zoomed up, leaving only a cloud of dust behind. I followed, Spike still on my back, yelling in protest of going back up.
“Spike! We need to save those ponies! If they hit the ground, they’ll die!” He shut up then, and just resumed whimpering. I saw Rainbow grab three, bring them to the entrance of the castle, and set them down. Quickly, I grabbed the remaining seven with my magic and levitated them to the ground, setting them down softly next to Rainbow. Flying down after them, I saw she was weak kneed and panting slightly.
“Were they heavy?”
“Heavy? I've lifted entire six times their weight before without breaking a sweat!!”, She snorted, then collapsed, “OK, maybe they were a little heavy.” I rolled my eyes and looked at the ponies we had just saved. There were four pegasi, three unicorns and one earth pony, all were passed out.
“We better get them inside, before all of Ponyville gets here.”, Spike warned, sliding off my back shakily, “All of them were definitely woken up by that!” I nodded.
“OK, let me just send a message to the others.” I concentrated and four purple orbs popped out of my horn and zoomed towards town.
“Whoa! What spell was that?” Spike asked.
“A spell I found a while new back, thought I’d try it.” I smiled and lifted the ponies up and trotted into the castle, Spike and Rainbow following.
"Hey Rainbow. How did you know we had to go to the ground?" I asked as we reached the hospital wing.
"Well, I felt a huge gust of wind coming from the portal. So I knew, If we didn't move, we'd e forced down.", She shrugged, "Just instinct to feel that stuff if you clear skies for a living."
I walked into the medical wing, only to see Fluttershy sitting on a chair at the foot of one of the pegasi beds. The pegasi was had a beautiful orange coat with jet black mane and tail. Fluttershy, who looked sad, looked up as I walked up next to her.
“Oh, hi Twilight."
“Hey Fluttershy. What are you doing?”
“Oh, just waiting for them to get up. It’s a bit stressful, not knowing when they’ll wake up.” I nodded, looking at the other ponies, all were sleeping peacefully.
“Well, I can take the watch if you wa-” Suddenly, two ponies, the orange one in front of Fluttershy and a dark red unicorn next to him, shot up, breathing heavily. Fluttershy squeaked and fell off her chair. The orange pony immediately grabbed his head and moaned in pain.
“Ohh. My f***ing head. What the?” He shook his head hard and looked at us, his eyes widening as he stared at us.
“What the f*** are you?!” He yelled, trying to scramble back, but only succeeding in getting tangled in the sheets. The red pony looked up, at the noise, and he yelled at the sight.
“Rainbow ponies!!”
“Um, could we please be a little quieter. Please?” Fluttershy whispered, but the new ponies were still being loud.
“Hey! Calm down!”
“You talk?!” The orange pony said, untangling himself from the sheets.
“Um… Don’t all ponies?” The red pony was looking at the orange pony strangely, as if he recognized him in some way.
“Do I know you?” He asked cautiously. The orange pony also looked at him, then yelled.
“JOSE!?” The red ponies eyes widened.
“EDDIE!?”
“So it is you! What the f**k happened to you? Your a f***ing pony!”
The orange pony, Eddie I guess, also yelled, “Your a pony!!” Jose said as well, they both looked at their bodies and yelped.
“José, yo soy un pony naranja mierda. Y tu puta pony rojo con los ojos rojos, putos dientes afilados y un maldito cuerno en su cabeza. ¿Qué diablos pasó?” Eddie spoke in a strange language this time, one that Jose apparently understood. I looked at Fluttershy, but she looked as confused as I was.
“Amigo, estoy tan confundido como eres. Todo lo que recuerdo es jugar Daily, después de perder el conocimiento. Ahora, su un caballo de color naranja con alas!” Sly looked back, only to chuckle at the sight of his wings. Then he caught sight of the other ponies in the beds next to him.
“Jose, there are more ponies.” Jose leaned around Eddie to see, and he immediately leaned back, paling slightly.He turned to us, apparently not forgetting about us.
“Who the f*** are you? What the fuck happened? Why are we f*** ponies? And why are there more f*** ponies passed out next to me?” I sighed.
“Well, I’m Twilight Sparkle. This is my friend Fluttershy.” I waved my hoof towards her, and she blushed and waved meekly. I heard Jose sigh affectionately, as if he was melting in the rays of her cuteness.
“What happened: A portal opened above us, and then all of you fell out, unconscious. Me and my other friend, Rainbow Dash, saved you and took you in here. We believe you are from an alternate dimension. Why you are ponies, we have no idea. And those other ponies were the other ponies who fell out.” By the time I had finished, Eddie and Jose had gotten out of their beds and were trying to walk. THey could move, but were a bit tipsy. I giggled at their attempts.
“Dam, this is hard. How do you do it?” Eddie asked me.
“Well Eddie, try walking without trying. Don’t think about it.” I suggested and that appeared to help. Eddie walked up to a light blue unicorn with a blonde mane, and I noticed his cutie mark. It was a black fox that was the same color as his mane, and it went very well with his coat color. Before i could compliment it, Fluttershy tapped my shoulder.
“Um, Twilight? Look at Jose’s cutie mark. Not to be rude, but it’s a little scary. I looked and felt shivers run up my spine. The cutie mark was creepy and if Rainbow Dash were to see it, it would give her quite a scare.
“Jose, this pony here looks familiar.” Eddie suddenly said. He was still standing over the blue pony, but he looked concerned and hopeful.
“So does this one.” Jose was standing next to a golden pegasi with curly brown hair. Eddie looked at him and his eyes widened.
“That’s Sky! I’ve seen more than enough fanart of him as a pony to know that him!” Jose looked at the pony next to Eddie. I held up a hoof.
"Wait, how do you know him?" Jose spoke up first.
"Well, in our universe, there is this thing called Youtube. It is something where you can record yourself putting on makeup, doing daily things, playing video games, stuff like that. That's what Eddie and I do, we record ourselves playing video games. I'm known as Remix10Tails, Eddie is known as Slyfoxhound." I nodded, understanding just about half of what he had said.
"Well, if you know that Sky guy, do you know any one else?" Eddie nodded.
"This pony here looks surprisingly familiar. Jose, don't you think so?" He nodded.
“Yeah, she does look familiar. I know the color from somewhere, but I can’t think of it.” He put on a concentrating face, and suddenly his eyes lit up.
“It’s Kala!!” Eddie gasped, then started shaking the pony, Kala, furiously. I tried to stop him,
“Eddie! I’m not sure that’s a good idea. You guys woke up at the same time, so you probably need to wait until-" Her eyes suddenly flew open, surprising Eddie so much that he squealed and fell back. Fluttershy also squealed and ducked under her hooves. Jose got quite a scare as a pony next to him, a dark grey pegasus, gave a great gasp for air. The blue pony, Kala, groaned and sat up, rubbing her head with her hoof. Then her hoof touched her horn and she was suddenly very awake. She felt it, then looked around, saw Eddie getting off the ground and screamed. That brought the attention of the grey pony to her, who then joined in yelling. By the time they had finished, my ears were ringing.
"What. The. H***?" Grey asked, staring at Jose, who was rubbing his ears. Kala was staring open mouthed at Eddie, who was smiling sheepishly ().
"Hey Kala. I see you've recognized me."
"Eddie?", She shook her head in disbelief, "You're a pony." He nodded.
"So are you. And over there,", He pointed to Jose, who was trying to calm down Grey, "Is Jose." She laughed.
"Well, that's what we get for messing around with portals we don't know about." They laughed and he went to help her up. As she stumbled over to Jose, she caught sight of Fluttershy and I.
"Are you guys also people turned into ponies?" I shook my head.
"No, we're natural ponies. I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is my friend Fluttershy." Fluttershy waved meekly and Kala smiled sweetly.
"ARE YOU SAYING YOU'RE A PONY?! AND I'M A PONY!?" A yell cut across our conversation and we saw Jose being chased by Grey, who was tripping over his own hooves. Sighing, I picked him up with my magic before he could tackle Jose. He stopped mid jump and stared at himself.
"What the f** is this sparkly stuff? Why can't I move?"
"OK, just calm down so we can explain this and then you can introduce yourself." He sighed and nodded. I set him down and he stood there, looking at all of us.
"So, who are you?"
"My name is Mithzan, but you can call me Mithzan. As a human, I live in Washington state and work for a guy named Skydoesminecraft-"
"Wait, Sky is right over there." Jose interrupted, pointing to the sleeping Sky. Max sighed,
"Well then, that's unfortunate and I recognize those ones over there." He pointed to the purple earth pony at the end of the line of beds, and a light gray unicorn next to the earth pony, "Their names are Ross and John, but their better known as Barney or ThatGuyBarney and House_Owner or Weenie_Butt. They work with me and Sky in Washington." We nodded.
"Your turn for introductions!" He said happily.
"Well, I'm known as Slyfoxhound in the human world, but you can call me Eddie or Sly. That's Jose Jose Jose Joseee Joseee Josah! Or Remix10Tails. That's Fluttershy and Twilight." Eddie said, indicating each of us with a wave. He nodded at us individually.
"Now, what happened?" Kala asked, finally standing straight.
"Well, a portal opened above us, and then all of you ponies fell out, unconscious. My other friend, Rainbow Dash, and I saved you and brought you here." They stood, opened mouthed.
"So yeah..."
Le Time Skip
In pairs, they all eventually woke up. Their reactions were the around the same, but some were calmer, some were extremely confused. We learned their names slowly, and they all were Youtubers. One by one, they accepted they were almost stuck and started getting used to their bodies.
"How do you do it?" Ian, otherwise known as Ssundee, asked as he wobbled around, leaning on his friend, Benjamin, or Crainer. Benjamin was a blue pony, not as light as Kala, but still a nice blue. His mane and tail were short and curly, the color being a light tan. Ian was a tanish-orange with a black mane.
"I don't know Ian. We're all kinda new to being ponies!" Adam, or Sky, said as he wobbled around, Fluttershy fluttering around him, helping when she needed to. He had an amazing golden coat with a dark brown, curly mane and tail. His friends Ross and Barney were being taught by Max how to walk.
"It's like Santa said in that one movie, 'Just put one foot in front of the other, and soon you'll be walking 'cross the flo-oo-or!"
"Well, Max, we don't have feet. We have f***ing hooves now." Ross said as he stumbled into Barney. Ross was a unicorn with a grey coat that at his hooves was a darker grey, but then faded into a lighter shade. His mane was spiky, like my friend Time Turner's, and about the same color.
"Ooh! Ross, whys you do that?" Barney had a strange way of talking, but at least we could understand it, unlike Jose and Eddie talking in the corner. Barney was the only earth pony in the room, with a coat being a mix of dark and light purple. His mane was smooth and was the color of fresh grass.
"Well, Barney, I don't really know how to walk any more, do I?!" Max was rolling around on the ground laughing.
"SHUT UP MAX!!" They yelled in unison. Suddenly, Rainbow and Spike came bursting through the door.
"Where have you two been?", I asked furiously, "You've been gone all day!"
"We were telling the news ponies the epic tale of what happened!" Rainbow said, zooming into the air.
"Yeah, we told them how we saved those ponies that fell through from the portal.", Spike said vainly, "Why were they in there anyways? Were they just stupid enough to go in?" I coughed and stepped aside to show the new ponies staring at Spike, their jaws on the ground.
"It's a baby Ender Dragon." Sky whispered.
"No silly, that's Spike. He is a baby though. Spike," Fluttershy turned to him, "That wasn't very nice what you said about our new friends. How could they have gotten into it in the first place?" He blushed, and shifted from foot to foot.
"Yeah, sorry guys. Who are you anyways?" He asked. I sighed, this day would never end.
It's been a week since we became ponies. One week of getting used to hooves instead of hands, controlling our magic or wings, the occasional party blast from Pinkie Pie, and most importantly, going to the bathroom. Just kidding, the thing we had to get used to was being cooped up in the castle. Twilight wouldn't let us go out in fear of the public realizing we weren't from Equestria. Even with hours of pestering, she would only let us stand on the balcony while Rarity did our manes and tails. Right now, most of us just want to go out and try socializing.
"TWI!! Please, can we at least just take a tour of Ponyville?" Sly, he insisted we call him that, begged for the tenth time today.
"No, Sly.", she stated firmly, "If anyone in Ponyville finds out your really human, they'll run you faster than Applejack bucks trees." Applejack nodded in the corner.
"It's true. I can kick them apples pretty darn fast. Barney, you got any dragons?" She, Ross, Barney and I were playing a game of Go Fish.
"Gos fish. C'mon Twilslight. Justs a five minutes. Thens we come back!"
"Twi, just let 'em out for the day. It won't do much harm, let 'em run all the energy out of 'em. It'll give you a chance to work peacefully on tryin' to get 'em home." She sighed in defeat, her wings drooping.
"Fine, but your real names are too conspicuous. We'll get every pony else here, then decide on your pony names. Once you go in town, Rarity and Fluttershy will introduce you around town."
"THANK YOU!!" We all yelled, even Applejack, leaping up and jumping around. Twilight sent purple orbs around the castle and to Ponyville, and within five minutes, everyone was standing there, waiting to go.
"OK, you guys need pony names. Something different than your real names." Sky raised his hoof.
"Teacher! Teacher!" She rolled her eyes.
"Yes Adam?"
"I wanna be called Sky Minecraft!!" She nodded.
"Good, anyone else?" We all thought for a second, then blurted all at once.
"Sly Hound!!"
"Remix Tails!!"
"Kala Sketch!!"
"Crainer!!"
"Ssundee!!"
"Dirt Dino!!"
"Mithzan!!"
"Weenie_Butt!!" We all turned to look at Ross, who didn't even flinch.
"What? It's my GTA V name and it's got a theme song. Sky?" Sky cleared his throat and started singing.
"Weenie Butt, Weenie Butt, Weenie Butt!!" Twilight and Applejack looked at each other like, "Why are we stuck with them?", then turned back to us.
"M'kay, we need to write these here names down." Applejack grabbed a pencil and paper from a nearby table and we repeated our names, repeating and spelling when necessary, and finally, FINALLY, she opened the doors and we ran out, basking in the sun.
"Now you all know the rules: No saying your humans, no mentioning anything human, no doing anything like a human-"
"Twi!", I interrupted, "We know, no being human in the slightest. Can we go know PLEASE." She nodded. We grinned widely and sprinted along the road, leaving Twi and Applejack coughing in our dust. It felt so good to get out of the castle. I loved the feeling cool summer air rushing through my mane and onto my face, and I promised myself that once I got back, I would go outside more often. As I ran, Crainer pulled up beside me.
"So dude, how's it being a unicorn?" He was panting slightly, but he could still talk articulately.
"Weird, I got a bone coming out of my forehead, and don't you take that the wrong way. How's being a pegasus?"
"I gotta learn to keep my wings tucked to my body. It's like having to keep your legs locked for a long period of time, easy at first, but gets harder. And don't take that in the wrong way." I laughed and kept running. After a minute or so, I saw the town coming into view.
"Guys! We should slow down now! It'll look weird if we came into town running like creepers were chasing us." Sky said. We nodded, and slowed down to a trot. Kala and Sly started joking around with Jose in the front, pushing his horn or his cutie mark. Barney, Ross and Sky were trying their best to piss off Max without him Hulking out. Crainer and I just walked and talked about trolls we were hoping to pull in Crundee Craft once we got back. If you get back. A voice said in my head. Shut up me. We entered town and I gasped. It was full of a wide variety of pegasi, unicorns and earth ponies of all colors, sizes and ages.
"Hey Dirt, you won't be alone anymore." Sky joked.
"Heys, shuts up!" He said as his friends laughed.
"C'mon guys, we gotta find the place Rarity owns. What was it, Carousel Boutique? From what Twi said, it'll be easy to find." Kala said, and started leading the way. As we walked, ponies waved cheerfully at us, realizing that we were new to the town.
"Hi! I'm Sweetie Drops, but you can call me Bon-Bon! You must be new to town!" A pale earth pony with pink and blue hair walked up to Barney, introducing herself.
"Urms, yeah. We'res new to town, I'ms Bar- Dirt Dino." He almost blew it, but Max tugged his tail hard from behind his back. She took a second translating what he said, then smiled.
"Oh! Well, if you need anything, I'll be at Sugar Cube Corner with my best friend Lyra!" And she walked away. We looked at one another, then continued on. We were stopped occasionally by passing ponies, who seemed really nice. We would introduce ourselves, then they would walk away. Eventually, we reached a tall building that looked like a pimped up carousel.
"Well, I guess this is the place." Sly said, a bit of disappointment in his voice.
"What, did you think it would be an actual carousel?" I asked, and Sly shuffled his wings in shame. I laughed, then lead the way inside. I caught a glimpse of Rarity talking to Fluttershy, but that's all I saw before what seemed like ice cold water was dumped onto my head. Spluttering and spitting water out of my mouth, I saw Rarity and Fluttershy staring in disbelief at something above my head, and heard everyone else laughing behind me. I looked up and saw the weirdest creature I have ever seen. It seemed to have the legs of a horse and lizard, the wings of a pegasi and dragon, the horns of a deer and a I-Have-No-Clue, the arms of a lion and eagle, and a bunch of other stuff I couldn't recognize.
"Discord, that wasn't very nice. He didn't do anything to you." Fluttershy scolded, walking up to him.
"Oh I know, but it's always so fun to prank ponies that are new to town." He wiped an imaginary tear from his eye.
"Apologize."
"No, it's okay Fluttershy. I've been pranked worse than that before." I said through Rarity's mane, as she was fussing over mine. Behind me, my friends had gotten up, and Sly was trying to push Ross into the puddle.
"C'mon, get in your natural habitat. Your a narwhal!!''
"Oh, and now I have to dry the floor and do your mane." She moaned, looking at the mess.
"Fluttershy, Rarity. It's okay. I don't mind it. I can prank him back later." I looked behind me and saw my friends getting off their backs and finally coming inside.
"Crainer!" I yelled, he looked away from Sly, who was trying to push Jose into the puddle the water had made.
"Yeah?"
"Looks like we'll be pranking sooner than we thought!" He cracked a grin. The creature laughed.
"You, prank me? How can we do that without introductions?" A voice said suddenly from somewhere between my eyes. I crossed them and saw a mini version of the thing that just pranked me.
"GAH!!" He disappeared and reappeared in front of me, holding out his Talon claw.
"Discord, spirit of chaos and disharmony. Who do I have the absolute pleasure of pranking?" I shooed Rarity off politely and shook his talon.
"Ian, but call me Ssundee." He drew back.
"Ssundee? After all these years?" I cocked my head.
"Discord, what are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" He sighed and said something.
"Derp and chaos shall rule." Suddenly, I felt my head spin and my world went black.
Crainer's Point of View
I watched as Ian swayed uneasily, then shook his head.
"Yo, dude. You okay?" He turned and we all yelled. His eyes were not normal, they were crossed, just like his Derp Ssundee skin.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Hey you wanna hear a joke? Why did the pig go to the kitchen?" Sky sighed.
"Why Ian?" Derp Pony cracked a smile.
"Because he felt like BACON!!" Discord laughed and threw an arm around Derp.
"Oh ho! Long time no see old friend. i see your jokes are just as bad as they were the last time we met. What was it, a thousand years ago?" Derp nodded.
"Yeah. Just before you became stone. I was really sad."
"Oh please, don't remind me of that time. I was going through a phase that was set in stone." They laughed and continued joking around with bad puns. Kala leaned in next to me.
"Um, so what's happening? Why is Ian like this?" I motioned for them all to join me near the back. Once they were all there, I leaned in.
"So for Rarity and Fluttershy. At the beginning of Ian's videos', he uses a Derp version of himself to start the video. Usually he does a bad pun or something stupid, but it's always funny. That's Derp Ssundee over there, and it looks like he's got control of Ian." Rarity shook her head.
"But how in Equestria does Discord know him. I mean, Ian is so polite and kind, and Discord is almost the opposite."
"Actually, he fed all the animals last night. They have been very well behaved all day."
"Yeah, well anyway," Sky interrupted, "How do we get him back? If Derp is in control, then Ian's in there somewhere. And how do we keep both of them in control?"
"Maybe we just need to bring them to the Everfree. I remember Twilight saying something about it being a good place to do stuff if you want to be alone." Jose suggested.
"Yeah, I also remember her saying that it was full of monsters and stuff.", Max said, "Do you really want to leave Ian alone in a huge forest full of monsters and stuff with a spirit of chaos and a derp controlling his body?"
"Um, excuse me?"
"Well what other choice do we have Max? We can't leave them alone in Ponyville! They'd wreak havoc!"
"Guys?"
"We could always leave them with Twilight."
"NO!!"
"Excuse me, but dear Fluttershy wants to say something!" Rarity said angrily. We stopped bickering and looked at her.
"Go ahead dear."
"Well, I just wanted to say, that um, they're gone." Our heads whipped to where they were standing, and sure enough, there was no sign of them. Max groaned.
We raced through the streets, earning many strange glances and stares. We didn't care. We needed to find Derp and Discord, before they did something bad. Skidding to a stop in front of a building that looked like a giant gingerbread house, we panted and wiped our brows. Rarity was dabbing gracefully at her brow with a lacy hanckercheif. Who even owns one any more?
"Well, it appears that we're at Sugar Cube Corner. Perhaps Pinkie can help us." I internally groaned. Pinkie was nice, but her constant outburst of party, song all mixed with that voice made for quite an annoying time.
"Rarity. How 'bout this,", Jose spoke up, and we all looked at him, "We split into two groups, one exploring the Everfree. The other checking the town. Rarity, can you teach the unicorns a simple light spell and something or a signal to show we found them?" She nodded.
"I'd gladly do that." She quickly showed them, and for a second, sparks and light were all that was seen, before all their horns were lit up.
"Cool!" I touched Ross's glowing horn, and pulled my hoof back quickly. It didn't hurt, but it did tingle badly.
"So Jose, what should the groups be?" Max asked, putting out his horn with a quick flash of light.
"Well, we have five unicorns, three pegasi, and then two earth ponies, since Pinkie should be joining us. So, we'll have Ross, Crainer, Fluttershy, Max, Pinkie and I explore the forest.", I heard Fluttershy whimper, and looked over only to see her face pale with fear, "That's three unicorns, two pegasi and an earth pony. That leaves Rarity, Sky, Barney, Sly, and Kala to check around town."
"Hey Jose, I can take Fluttershy's place. I'm a pegasi as well, so no big difference." I said quickly, trying to save her from the place.
"Fine." I saw Fluttershy send me a grateful smile, which I returned sheepishly. She was very cute and adorable. I think nearly all the boys have just the tiniest crush on her.
"So town team, go ask Pinkie-"
"Ask me what Jose?" Speak of the pink pony right behind Jose. He jumped a foot in the air, then stared at Sly and Kala grumpily, as they were laughing heartily.
"Oh, shut the f*** up guys. So Pinkie, Ian became a crazier version of himself, and now he['s with Discord somewhere. We don't know where, but there either in the forest, or in town." She smiled.
"No silly, their inside Sugar Cube! They came a little bit ago, and now their eating my cupcakes!" We stared at her, not wanting to believe it.
"You mean to tell us, they were right there the whole time?" Crainer asked, pointing to the gingerbread house next to us. She nodded so fast, all I could see was a pink blur.
"Opar. Crainers, I thinks they are." Barney said. Again, Pinkie nodded her head, and I swear, I heard a crack. Max face palmed, no face hoofed.
"Well, lets get Ian back." We walked in and sure enough, saw them sitting at a booth, a stack as tall as Discord in front of them. They both appeared to be having a blast, but when they saw us, their faces fell slightly.
"Oh, what do you want?" Discord asked, popping two cupcakes into his mouth.
"We just want to talk to Derp, Discord. He took over our friend body, and we'd like our friend back, please." Rarity said. Derp laughed, a strange sound that made me want to laugh as well. A couple ponies sniggered heartily.
"Well, he's inside alright. But, I don't want to go yet. Mom will yell at me for leaving without permission." His eyes filled with fear at the prospect.
"Yes, and the fact that I want to talk with him a little more." Discord complained. I rolled my eyes.
"Derp, please. Just let Ian back out. We'll explain what's going on with him. Then we'll try to let you come out every once in a while to hang out with Discord. Maybe once every two days. Just so we don't have to much chaos." He looked at Discord, and they seemed to have a silent conversation.
"Fine. See ya' Dissy."
"See ya Derpio." Discord said, waving a bit. Derp shuddered, then groaned and held his head.
"Crap. What happened?" He looked up and saw Discord staring at him.
"Oh, hello." He turned to us, and he cracked a smile.
"You look like you saw a ghost. I guess you have a lot to explain.'' Sly laughed.
Once again, we sat in the castle, bored beyond anything. It had been two days since Ian’s Derp experience, and once he heard what had happened and what was agreed, he was a little annoyed, but fine with it. Now, he, Crainer, and Discord were playing upside-down chess in an extra room. Sly and I were cuddling near a fire, despite the day being warm and musty. Jose was drawing some sort of scribble at a nearby table. Sky, Barney, Ross and Max were playing I-Spy while laying on their backs. Suddenly, Twilight walked into the room, holding a stack of books with her magic in front of her.
“Every pony, I’ve decided someth-”
“Yeah, well if it’s homework, count us out.” Eddie said, seeing the books, and laying his head on my shoulder. I hit him, and he jerked up.
“Ow!”
“Sly, she wants to talk to us about something. It could be about getting home.” He sighed and gestured for her to continue.
“Anyway, so I’ve decided that you need to learn how to be the type of ponies you are. So Fluttershy and Rainbow will teach the pegasi how to fly, and I will teach the unicorns how to do magic!” She squealed, as if teaching was the best thing someone could give her.
“Are we doing it outside?” Sky asked, rolling onto his stomach.
“No Adam, we’re going to do it in a closet, because there’s tons of room in those.”, Max said sarcastically, “Course we’re f***ing doing it outside.”
“Yeah, but I’ll be putting a spell around the castle so that no pony bothers you while you practice. Unicorns, I’ll teach you to teleport, summon light or other things, and lift things with your magic, like so.” She gestured to the books floating in front of her.
“So, cans we start? Wes are f wanting to do something.” Barney said, standing up, but Twilight stopped him.
“Barney, you’re not either, so you can go hang out with Derp and Discord. I get the feeling they’ll tell some pretty interesting stories. When you get there, can you tell Crainer to go to the outside entrance please?” His ears drooped, and he looked sad.
“Ohs, okay.” He trotted out and we looked sadly after him. Why did he have to be the only earth pony. There’s nothing special about it. He can’t fly, can’t use magic. The only thing he can do is run fast. I thought sadly. Twilight sighed, then lifted her horn up.
“OK, casting the spell in three, two, one...” She concentrated and her horn glowed brighter and brighter, until it sent out a blast of purple magic into the ceiling, then disappeared.
“Well, that was f***ing anti-climatic.”, Ross said, “I expected an explosion, some rumbling at least.”
“Weren’t we all, Ross?” Sly asked, chuckling lightly. I hit him again.
“Ow! What did I do now?” He whined, rubbing his head.
“Because I wanted to.” Twilight rolled her eyes. I swear, at the rate she keeps doing that, they will fly into space by next week.
“So, now that the spell has been placed, we can get started. Pegasi, go outside to the front entrance, Rainbow and Fluttershy will be waiting. Unicorns, follow me.” I kissed Eddie on the cheek.
“Don’t f***ing die.” And with that, I got up and followed Twilight. I heard the others get up, and once reaching the door, go their separate ways. We followed Twilight until she reached a door with her cutie mark carved into it.
“Now, this is the library, but I put a spell on everything, just in case something goes wrong.” She opened the door and walked in. Following, I saw the biggest library in all existence. No, that’s over exaggereating more than enough. It was the largest library I had ever seen, with shelves upon shelves full of books that I knew were full of magic. Behind me, I heard Max whistle appreciativly.
“Nice, if this place was an atomic bunker, we’d never get bored.”
“That’s why I suggested coming here every day since you started getting bored!!” Twilight huffed insignatly, then turned to us.
“Okay, so you know how to light your horn and send flares, Rarity showed you right?” We nodded and lit our horns. A light tingling spread across my face as my horn glowed a light blue, about the same color as my coat. She nodded.
“So as I said before, I’ll be teaching teleporting and lifting objects. Lifting objects is pretty simple, but teleporting is a bit more difficult. It requires quite a lot of concentration, energy and magic. When I was learning, it took me three weeks to learn, and that’s why we’re just doing lifting objects today.” By the time she finished, I was already nervous. If it took Twilight, one of the smartest people in this place three weeks to teleport, how long would it take us?
“So, for lifting and moving, you just focus on the object, and imagine your magic grabbing it, then reeling it in. Like a fishing rod does to fish. To move it, just imagine it’s flight path, and it will follow it.”, she turned to Max, bringing a book to land at his feet, “Why don’t you try to this book, Max?” He gulped and looked at it as if it would blow up if he messed up. Lighting up his horn to a light gray, he stared at it with what appeared to be all his might. He screwed up in concentration, but the book only sat there, a few sparkles showing up here and there. With one last effort, he managed to do something incredible, something I didn’t think he’d be able to do. He managed to let out a high-pitched toot. We all fell down on our backs laughing, even Twilight let out a small chuckle. Max on the other hoof, was red as Jose’s coat, in shame, concentration or lack of air, I have no clue.
“Well, your magic showed up around it, so good job. Now this time, try to focus more on the magic than actually picking up the book.”
“Yeah, Max. Don’t focus on your gas or farts as much.” Ross said.
“Shut the f*** up Ross.” He looked at the book, and took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and lit his horn once again. Slowly, the book glowed the same gray as his magic, and it floated a foot off the ground.
“Max, you did it!” He opened one eye, and cracked a smile as he saw it floating in the air.
“Now try moving it.” He nodded, still looking at the book, then suddenly, the book flew and hit Ross in the face over and over again.
“Hey! Ow! Max! Ow! Jeez! Ow! Stop! Ow!” Max laughed, then put the book down on Ross’s head. He bucked his head, and it flew off.
“Good job Max, who wants to go next?” Suddenly, there was a loud BANG! and we jumped in surprise. Looking around, I saw nothing, but Jose obviously did.
“Up there!” He pointed to a window, and we all started laughing again. There, plastered on the window, was a golden pegasi, his wings spread comically around his body. Sky peeled himself from the window, flapping his wings shakily. He waved at us, before disappearing from view. That was the most interesting thing that happened that day other than us learning magic. Anyways, one by one, we went up to the book, and after a few tries, it would be soaring around the room. Once we all got the hang of it, we were tired, drained, and wanting to sleep.
“Man, that was fun!” Jose said, stifling a yawn. I nodded, rubbing my eyes.
“Yeah, let’s go see how much Sly failed.” We headed to the entrance, only to find them already coming in, covered in grass stains, bruises and leaves. Rainbow followed behind them, looking tired and annoyed.
“How’d it go?” Ross asked Sky, who had a bandage wrapped around his head. He sighed.
“Other than crashing into the window? Well, let’s say that I’m glad I don’t fly like s.” They laughed, before heading over to Max, who had started heading towards where Barney was. I saw Sly, pointed him out to Jose, and trotted up to him. His hooves were covered in dirt, as if he had skidded in mud.
“Can you fly now?” Jose asked, sniggering a bit.
“Shut up Jose. Yes I can, the hooves are just from the first try.” He said, groaning a bit as he stepped on his back leg.
“Can you use magic?” I wiggled my eyebrows and lifted his wings up.
“Hey!” He tucked them in, but I just lifted them up even more.
“That hurts Kala, stop.” I let him down and we followed the group to some place comfy and a place we could sleep.
