Chapter 1: To whom the bell tolls.

"Hmm.. I feel as if I'm running out of ideas now that these thousand years are near an end."

"Have we thought about more chaos? Remember that I did get out once too."

"Yes, and you were immediately captured within the hour."

"Touché."

Hello there, I may as well greet myself as I am stuck in stone. My name is the Headless Horseman, and I was a previous human, until that encounter with 'the merchant' as I decided to call him. Oh yes, the other voice with me is my dear friend Discord, who has kept me company for my thousand years in rock, say hello Discord.

"Sup?"

Anyways, we have been planning a revenge tactic on the solar and lunar monarchs that have imprisoned us here, and we finally came up with a plan, we just need an escape option, and soon.

"Oh look Seth! Some guards are coming to get us, about time too."

"What are you ranting on about now Discord?" I groan through our telepathy.

"Celestia wanted us reformed, it's our chance to play with them." Discord explained to me.

"Finally, I can stretch again!" I cheer to myself as the royal guards drag myself and Discord to the chariot, where the solar monarch, Celestia, is waiting.

"Thank you for bringing the statues guards, we will be on our way now." Celestia tells the guards, who just nod and hook onto the chariot, then start the flight to Ponyville.

"So, wanna play a game?" Discord asks as I mentally groan before accepting to his game.

Discord's idea of fun was bland, let's just say we played at least 200 rounds of "What am I thinking of?" Though I wasn't paying attention to the game, I was more so admiring the scenery of the flight. I nearly fell asleep before we landed in front of six other ponies, who used those magic rocks called the Elements of Harmory to release us.

"Ah, so nice to be free from that rocky prison again!" Discord booms as he stretches, secretly snapping and making a rabbit grow long legs.

I just stared around the area, admiring the scenery before the lavender unicorn interrupted my train of thoughts.p

"Excuse me sir, but what would your name be?" She asks, I defined her as Twilight Sparkle from Discord's description of her, which was perfect.

I thought of my first line, as you all know, first impressions, right? "I am the one for whom the bell tolls at the darkest of nights, I am the Headless Horseman!" I yell to the sky as lightning dramatically strikes, "But you can just call me Seth." I finished.

Twilight was slightly shaking at the greeting, "W-well, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinke Pie, and Fluttershy." Twilight said their names, who gave a greeting of some sort.

"Lovely!" I bellowed, "How does some coffee sound, I need a cup of it so badly right now.." I groan as a wave of tiredness hits me.

"So basically, you used to be a 'human' until you meant somepony called the merchant, which sold you your helmet and sent you here?" Twilight refreshes my long talk.

"Yes, every word of that is correct." I state to Twilight before draining my cup of coffee in one swig. "Though, I don't feel as if I'm alone, it's just a hunch though."

"Interesting. Well your welcome to stay with me if you would like Seth, it's always nice to have a new po- er, person to talk to." Twilight said quietly.

I thought on the offer for a moment, "Very well, I accept your offer Twilight." I state.

"Really? I thought you would have denied me and said you had somewhere else." Twilight said, which I waved off.

"No point in lying now is there?" I say causally, "Now perhaps you could show me around your town, it seems nice."

"Of course!" Twilight excitedly says as she literally pushes me out the door.

"Easy there!" I yelp, cracking my back quickly before starting down the trail with her.

"Sorry," Twilight apologizes, "I got a bit excited."

"No worrys, it happens to the best of us." I causally say.

"So let me get this straight, the apples that grow here yearly are really rare, and the cider is drop dead amazing?" I ask.

"Um, yes?" Applejack says, "We grow the best apples in these parts, we usually get a large line of ponies yearly coming for our homemade apple cider!"

"Sounds like good business. I can see why you like working on the farms." I state.

"I'd rather not..." I uncomfortably say.

"Well, why ever not?" Rarity asks, "You would look dashing in a proper outfit!"

I scratched the back of my helmet for emphasis, "I'm kind of a spirit, so it wouldn't work..."

"Pegisi move clouds, brilliant!" I yell out, clapping my hands together.

"You haven't seen anything yet! Just watch!" Rainbow yells to me as she takes flight.

"I shall watch and see." I mutter to myself, sitting down.

"I see you like animals Fluttershy." I say, "I used to have a little pug of my own."

Fluttershy gasps, "Was it cute? What happened to it? Did it get hurt?" She asked all at once.

"Woah woah woah, one at a time. Anyways, I was 'displaced here so say, so that's about what happened." I say.

"To much sugar, why so much in it?" I ask Pinkie.

"Well duh, to make it sweet and taste waaaaaay better! She excitedly says.

I stare for a second before rubbing my temples, "Bah... I have a headache.."

By e time I got to Twilight's home it was nearly 10 pm, so I went right to bed, saying only a good night to Twilight, who returned it before I closed my room door. I then crash on my bed and fall asleep for the night.

Chapter 2: Chaos at its best.

"Seth... Have you come up with a plan yet?" Discord groans through telephaphy.

"Of course I have, we shall begin today at noon." I respond, "Meet me in town hall at 11:30."

"I'll be there." was Discord's response, shortly after he left the mind link.

"Blubbering idiot, does he not know who I am?" I groan to myself, getting up out of the bed, "May as well get something to eat, then some chaos will rain down."

I opened my door and headed down into the main room which contained at least 4 bookshelves filled to the brim, and a display case with six pieces of jewelry, which I found out we're the Elements of Harmony. I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen to make myself some toast.

"Now... There the heck is the bread..." I mutter, looking around the kitchen until I find the bread in a cupboard, "Why is the bread in the... You know what, nevermind." I say, grabbing the bread and taking two slices from the bag, "There we go... Now to make that easier to find..." I grin, using a little magic to make it hover in the air, then I put my bread in the toaster and wait.

I sat there for two minutes before my toast was done, "Bah, took to long, I'll make it faster." I mutter, using some magic on the toaster so whenever it's used, it shoots out whatever was in it on fire, right at their face, "Heh... That will be funny to see.." I grin, eating my toast quickly before going into the main room again.

"Well hello there Seth!" Discord greeted me as I returned to the room, "Starting some chaos I see." Discord's grin looked like a deranged manticore.

"Got bored, wanna start now?" I ask Discord, grinning under my helmet.

Discord looked as if he was thinking about it, but I knew my awnser, "I'm in." He finally said.

I chuckled, This is going to be fun...

"Prepare yourselves, the bells have tolled. Shelter your weak, your young and your old.. Each of you shall pay the final sum. CRY for mercy, the reckoning, has come! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!" I yell out, throwing flaming pumpkins at houses from my horse, which is circling around Ponyville.

Discord was having the time of his life, he was making the land shape to the ponies disadvantage, making it so the fires were hard to put out, even with magic, "This plan is amazing, the ponies will be in utter chaos!" He laughed.

Discord was right, the town was in complete chaos. I was watching them run around despritally, trying to put out the fires I caused. I looked at my watch, seeing as three minutes had pasted I let another yell out, "The sky is dark, the fire burns! You strive in vain as fates wheel turns!"

My horse depends to the ground ad begins running through town, whenever we near some random pony I throw upon their head a flaming pumpkin while yelling,"Harken, cur! Tis you I spurn! Now feel... The burn!" afterwards, my horse rises back to the sky and begins circling around again.

Water buckets were flying everywhere, mostly in no direction, missing my flames by miles, though very few hit. Looking at town again, I saw the nearly burnt down homes.

"This brings a joy to my heart, well done!" Discord says to me, hovering next to me, I just nod and continue.

"The town still burns, a cleansing fire! Time is short, I'll soon retire!" I let my third yell pierce the blackened skies as the ponies were helpless to my enslaught on the town, Discord's terrain really messed them up as well, so that was a bonus indeed.

Discord was now making the water baskets float into who knows where, making the ponies unable to fight back anymore. I grinned at the sight. Discord was laughing his head off, literally.

I scanned the town, seeing no remaining houses that were not burned, I smiled at this and yelled once again, "Fire consumes! You've tried and failed. Let there be no doubt, justice prevailed!" At this yell, my horse landed next to Discord.

"We shall make our home here, we will be gods." I stated proudly.

"That we will, that we will." Discord said, smiling at my work.

Chapter 3: A token sent out.

"Well then, it seems that our 'friends' home is still in tact, fancy that." I sarcastically say to Discord as we see the magic barrier surrounding the treehouse,I just grin.

"How is that possible, the magic should have died from the fires..." Discord thought on it fora moment before shrugging it off.

"True, but no matter... The town is tone rebuilt and my castle is to be set immediately." I said, "Things will go to plan here Discord.."

Discord took a step back with fake shock, "Well I never!" He staggered before laughing, causing me to chuckle myself.

I scanned the ruins of the town while Discord did... whatever he does. I was not seeing much through the thick ashes of the ruined houses, but I could hear a coughing and crying sound from under a lot of debris. I went over to the ruined house and tossed the scraps off to find a young filly huddled in the material around her, bawling her eyes out.

When she looked up at me she recoiled in shock and barley managed to make words, "A-a-are y-you g-going t-to h-h-hurt m-me?" Is what she managed out.

"Why would I even think of that? Of course I won't hurt you young one." I kindly whisper to her, getting a slight sigh in return. I looked over her body which was cut up from the crash of ruined materials, they were also slightly bleeding. "Oh my... Those look like they hurt... Come here filly, I'll see to them." I say calmly, which does bring her out.

I pick the young filly up and use a small amount of magic on her wounds, closing them up before they could be infected. She squirmed a bit but relaxed after her cuts were healed and closed.

"T-thank you mister..." She slowly said, which got a smile out of me.

"Think nothing of it young one. Now to more important matters, where is your family?" I ask kindly.

The ears on her head went down at the question, "I-I don't have a family..." She said softly, "I also have no name.." She was hiccuping now, and before I knew it, she was crying again.

"There there... I'll take care of you... No child should be left alone..." I whisper to her, getting her to smile, "I'll also have you a name soon enough." I begin to walk to where my future castle will be.

It took weeks to get ponies back into town, but e place was rebuilt shortly after, as was my castle. The young filly, who I came to call her Emerald Dreams, was dozing off on my lap while we watched the clouds roll by.

"Um, dad?" She spoke up to me, "When are we heading home?"

"Shortly Emerald, shortly." I say to her, looking at the sky still. I had managed to get rid of Discord by setting him in stone again, rebuild the town and get myself settled in a few weeks, so I was happy with that. But I was not yet known to others who were possibly out there.

I picked up Emerald and walked back to the castle. Once we got there she went to her room to sleep while I thought on what to use as a token of sorts. I ended up using a small flaming pumpkin.

"To those who would seek a reckoning force, or retribution on their enemy's, call forth the Headless Horseman, and I shall arise to assist." I spoke into the flaming pumpkin before making a small portal and tossing it in after making numerous copy's of it.

"There, my token is sent into the rift, perhaps someone may find it." I said to myself, heading to my own room and closing the door. I go and sit on my bed to think for a moment.

'I have everything set up, let's just hope those who call are willing of my presence.' I thought before turning out my lamp and going to sleep myself.

Chapter 4: Flaming defence.

"Bah, there's nothing to do around here..." I groaned, searching around the area for a fun activity. "I'll need to find something soon or I might pillage a town... Wait, what's that sound? A large crashing sound was nearing the town, and fast. A giant bear which was made of constellations thundered out of the forest, looking very pissed off.

I looked for whoever caused the star bear to be angered, but I eventually got angered myself and went over to handle it myself. I stormed towards the bear with my internal spark reignited and covered my hands in a green flame, "You wanna go, then let's rumble." I growled, releasing a torrent of flames at the bear, which jumped back.

The bear charged at me with insane speed for something so large, but I rolled past its charge and leaped to my feet, "That's it. Time to bring out the sword." I stated, letting my hand go to my back and draw out my sword, which I swung once to get its fire pumped.

Using my left hand, I released a torrent of green fire and with my right hand, I was swinging the sword at the bear, both attacks were damaging it until it just burst into flames completely, "Ahahaha... Taste fire beast!" I yelled while lunging forward and plunging my sword right into its chest.

The bear roared in pain and ran for the forests cover, still charred in fire and the sword wound bleeding. I grinned under my helmet and put my sword on my back again, "Well, that takes care of that." I chuckle, walking back down the path to my castle. In the distance, I saw the butter yellow pony bawling her eyes out, but I ignored it.

Within the hour, I returned to my castle which loomed over the town. When I inspected its perimeter I thought of something, "Has it not occored to me that the perimeter is not well defended..." I questioned myself. Sighing, I started slowly walking the perimeter, setting up a fire wall slowly.

The fire wall was fully functional, though it took me three hours to get the wall set up and have a way to activate and deactivate it simpaly, I smiled and admired my work. I looked up to the sky to see it nearly morning, Emerald would be waking up soon, so I needed to work fast. I ran into the castle and flung the doors shut.

I shoot through the halls and into my office, where there were some papers that I needed to finish by sunrise. I sat at my desk and quickly finished the remaining papers, then I put them in a box for the mailmare to deliver to town hall in the morning.

With that finished, all that needed to be done up was breakfast, so I walked to the kitchen silently, closing the door gently. I looked around for a second then got the frying pan out and ignited my stove with a small amount of fire. I put some bacon and eggs on the pan and let them start cooking. While they were cooking, I got Emerald some toast with jam on it ready and set it on the dining hall table.

Shortly after, my breakfast joined my daughters on the table as well. I looked over to the clock to see it was seven thirty, so Emerald should be here in a few minutes. I went to the washroom to clean myself up so I could avoid questions from Emerald.

When Emerald entered the kitchen, I nodded to her to let her know I saw her. We then ate breakfast in silence as there was nothing to talk about in the morning. Afterwards I got Emerald ready for her first day of school.

"Alright. Quills, ink, parchment, binder, bag, lunch." I listed off, "Your all set Emerald." I smiled to her, which got her to smile back.

"See you after school dad!" She called, running out the door. I waved to her as she ran into town.

"Well, time for more planning.." I grin under my helmet.
