A Not So Clean Slate

The world was burning. Sunset watched in agony as she saw everything slowly being turned to dust. She was helpless and weak.

"Help, someone help us~!" Sunset could hear people screaming. The horror was just to much for her. She turned around to run only to run into the red legs of a demon. She looked up at it only t be grabbed by the face by its red hand.

Sunset quickly sat up in bed, It had been almost two years after the Fall Formal. Yet Sunset continued to have the same relentless dream. Sweat dripped down her face as she felt she was on fire. She wished so badly to have one night without being burned up. Her cyan eyes glanced around the room a if to assure her surroundings were safe. Her soft and light Amber skin gleamed as she was drenched with her own sweat. She lifted her hands to her face to wipe the sweat out of her own eyes. She was breathing rather shallowly her hands and body trembling as she could still feel the hand upon her face. Sunset slowly lifted herself out of the bed. Her knees shaking as she slowly stood up. She had no choice but to brace her knees with her hands.

"Ahhhhh~ my knees." Sunset groaned as she was finally fully stood up. she slowly brought one of he hands to the base of her own spine, she slowly bent backwards a little so she could crack her back. She looked t the clock and saw that it was about an hour till school would start. As much as she hated going there, she felt she had no choice. Twilight had told her she could seek out friendship or to forever be alone. Sunset sure didn't want to be alone forever. She quickly rushed for the stairs and slid down the railing and onto the lower floor. Her hand reached out and grabbed the jacket she had hug up onto the coat stand by the door. She slipped her arms through the sleeves. She let out a soft sigh to prepare herself for the same thing different day routine. She reached out to grab her backpack. Her right hand grabbed the bag and grasped it. She pulled it up onto her back. She wasn't ready for another day of unforgiving faces. With the anniversary of her accident only 10 hours away she could exactly put a smile on her own face. She shakily brought her hand to the door handle to exit the small house she had been living in. She turned the door handle. The light from the sun reflected off her hair that was ladened with Brilliant yellow And vivid crimson stripes. A sharp pain resonated in her eyes as the suns light entered her eyes. She hated exiting her house.

"Don't worry Sunset, maybe today will be the day they decide to give you a chance." sunset said to herself as if she was trying to reassure herself today would be different. "Maybe they will forgive, Two years should have been enough time." she rubbed the straps of her backpack as she walked. She was so nervous she could hardly take it. Just when she began to think things couldn't possibly get worse she ran right into her ex boyfriend Flash Sentry.

"Hey watch where you.....r g-going." Sunset said as she quickly realized who she had ran into.

"No it's perfectly fine." Thankfully Flash was a well mannered guy, who really didn't want to be mean to Sunset. That didn't stop Sunset from fearing he would come down on her in a cruel way.

"I-I didn't mean to. it was an accident. I w-was only headed for school." Sunset forced a smile upon her face as if to deceive Flash into thinking she was happy.

"Don't worry about it, I know you didn't mean to." Flash smiled back at her as he quickly rubbed the back of his head. "I suppose you wouldn't mind if I shoved along now would you?"

"Nonoononon I don't mind, I don't mind at all." she was twirling some of her hair around one of her pointer fingers. She was so nervous around people. Infact Sunset just so badly wanted to go home. Not the place she had been staying in for the past two years, but back in Equestria. That's when the thought hit her, She had been stuck in this terrible world for two years, long enough that the portal had to be open again. She quickly rushed forward shoving Flash sentry to the side. She had not felt her heartbeat so excitedly about anything in so long. Though fear had also started to overwhelm her. It didn't take her long till she could see the school in the distance. All the students were just staring to arrive. Sunset was panting frantically as she looked around for the tall tale statue. That's when she saw it out of the corner of her eye. She wasn't staying her any longer, she wasn't going to spend one more day in this place. Not one more day was she going to suffer being excluded from socialization. Sunset quickly jumped at the statue sunsets eyes closing after she saw that her reflection was looking like a pony in it. She hit it and time felt like it began to slow down. Sunsets closed eyes slowly opened The surrounding area was a swirling mass of colors that was sucking her to the other side. Sunset could feel her body changing, but something wasn't right. Just as she began to exit the portal the mass of colors around her turned to black and cyan much like the element had glowed when she was turned into that demon. Her vision quickly faded only to return slowly. Her own Amber hooves crossed in front of her as she lay on the ground. Sunset felt as if she was in a dream. Her eyes lit up as she saw her hands were gone and her hooves were back.

"YES YES yes~!" she said rather loudly and excitedly. "Awwww sweet Celestia I'm home.. I'm HOME"

Sunset was so enthralled to be back in Equestria. She just wanted to lay down and kiss the ground. The shinny crystal ground. She still wasn't sure why the mirror wasn't in Canterlot anymore. She had no idea why it still resided in the Crystal Empire, where she had been when she stole the crown. That didn't matter a whole lot to Sunset at the moment. She was just so happy to be a pony again. Sunset looked around slowly, her cyan eyes gleaming in the little bit of light that was peering into the room. She could hear the sound of hooves hitting a crystal floor. The sound was headed her way. Sunset quickly jumped and hid behind the mirror. She got chills up her spine just being by this mirror. The door leading to the portal room opened very slowly. the sound of a horn engulfing with a magical aura was heard. A golden light appeared reflecting off the walls and into Sunsets eyes. Sunset gasped softly as she could see the flowing mane of Celestia. sunset hadn't seen her teacher in so long. Tears formed in her eyes as she remember how demanding she was against Celestia in the past. The day she left this world and to the other. Sunset couldn't control her tears she started to softly whimper. Celestias ears flicked slightly as she could hear the crying. Celestia peered over in Sunsets direction, she slowly started to walk over to her. Celestias eyes widened when she saw saw who was there.

"Sunset Shimmer it has been many, many moons since we last saw each other." Celestia slowly lowered down getting on all four of her own knees.

"C-celestia~." Sunset quickly went and wrapped her arms around her old teachers neck. Tears streamed down her amber cheeks. Her lower lip quivered with both excitement and resentful feelings for her past actions to the white princess.

"Oh~Sunset I never thought I would see you again. Not after...." Celestia paused before bringing the past to attention. She could tell sunset was already grieving over her past action. "Why have you returned my dear?" Celestia questioned as she began to embrace the unicorn using her massive wings.

"I wasn't excepted into friendship....those creatures would not forgive me~" Sunset cries into the fur on Celestia's neck. "Princess Twilight said to seek it out, so I came here to do so." she cried some more. Sunset meant her words, but deep down she still felt allot of hate. Which was a bad thing if she was to change who she was.

"I am very pleased to hear your change of heart Sunset, I have been awaiting your return for so very long." Celestia slowly let go of sunset so that she could look into her eyes. Sunset sniffled slightly and then looked into Celestia's eyes.

"Celestia please I beg of you to return me back to your teachings." Sunset badly wanted to return to her teachings of which she had so easily turned away from in the past. "I promise to listen, I promise to obey this time." she leaded with Celestia who was clearly showing no interest in taking her back in.

"Sunset I would take you back in but you abandoned your studies." Celestia sighs. "I can't take you back into study, I'm sorry." Celestia smiled slightly as an idea popped into her head. "But I do know somepony you should be able to be taught by.."

"But Celestia, Who else could possibly teach me?" Sunset wasn't entirely sure who she was talking about, but then she caught on. "Nononononononon not Twilight, I'm not sure I could take being taught by her." Sunset was clearly showing distress.

"Sunset Shimmer you sad you wanted to change, I am simply giving you your chance." Celestia smiled knowing that Sunset would give in here soon enough.

"Is there anypony else? Is she really the only other pony?" Sunsets ears pinned down as she thought about being taught by somepony like Twilight.

"Sunset she is the only one who can teach you. Would you like to sleep on it?" Celestia said. It was night time in Equestria despite it being morning in Canterlot high in the human world. "I wont make you decide overnight Sunset, Just remember that I will not teach you." Celestia said to her rather sternly. Sunset knew she had no choice in the matter. Though she did decide to sleep on it. Thankfully Celestia was kind enough to give her a room to stay in. Sunset was left to rest, though she was finding it hard to sleep. Though she was starting to get all heavy in the eyes. Surely she would fall asleep soon. Sunsets eyes began to slowly close. She had finally drifted into sleep. Luna keeping a close eye on her. For she was informed of her arrival.

Sunset opened her eyes to find she was in the same dream she had the other night. There was fire everywhere. she was floating out in space looking at the world before her. The flame covering the surface of what was now Equestria rather than Earth. Sunsets eyes were filing with tears. The darkness around the space was frightening when all she could see was a globe in flames. A giant red hand went around the planet before her. The Demon she was in the human world holding it. The demon then holds it like and apple.

"Mmmmmmmm~ what a world." the demon says with a chuckle as it takes a bite out of it like a human would to an apple. The mantle core of the planet running down the lips of the demon. she chews the bite she took as she then takes to fingers to the world. "Dang~" the demon says in a sexual whining voice. "This is a bad sour apple" she crushes it with two fingers and immediately starts to laugh. the laugh echoed all around sunset.

"NoNOOOO STOP~!" sunset yelled trying to shut out the demons evil laughter. "I wanna wake up i wanna wake up~!" she yells again. The dream much worse than before. The demon now floated before sunset. The demon slowly reached out for sunset grabbing her by the throat.

"You will be mine." the demon laughs

Sunset quickly opened her eyes screaming aloud. Sweat was dripping down her face. The sound of hooves running down the hall toward her was heard very clearly. The guards who were coming were sounding rather frantic. One busted through the door. They didnt know what was going on, Sunsets scream sounded like bloody murder.

"Sunset Shimmer?" The guard said as he was in a defensive stance. "Is there somepony in here? Are you hurt?" The guard questions as his green eyes glance around the room for any sighns of another pony. Sunset had to find the strength to speak, though this proved difficult. She was tramutized by her dream.

I-i'm fine sir. No need to have your weapon drawn." she was breathing heavily.

"Then what was the problem, you sounded like you were being murdered." The guard then looked around the room some more, still he wasn't sure if there wasn't another pony in the room. He was clearly on edge. "do you need me to stand guard?" he says now looking Sunset directly In the eyes.

"No that wont be nessisary, I dont think i'll be going back to sleep the rest of the night." Sunset gulps in fear that if she fell asleep she would dream that horrible dream again. She was afraid to have her dream become real.

Sparkling Sunset

Sunset awoke that very morning. she was very tired after having that nightmare that night. She couldn't get the world being eaten out of her head. She slowly got out of bed and headed for the door. She slowly opened the door. She turned to her right to have her muzzle be pressed up against the muzzle of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Sunset had ran right into her. Sunset ears pinned back as she stumbled backwards.

"Twilight I'm so s-sorry." Sunset smiled backing up. Her eyes widened as she ran into Celestia who had been standing behind her.

"Sunset Shimmer, I was made aware this morning that you had returned to Equestria. And I must say I'm delighted to see you again." Twilight smiled trying to hide the fact that she was nervous. She wanted to be able to teach Sunset, but in the end it was up to Sunset on weather or not this would happen.

"Sunset Shimmer did you finally make your mind up about Twilight teaching you?" Celestia said in a soft and kind voice. Sunset stood still and quite for a good amount of time. She knew there was no way of Celestia taking her back. So she saw as if she had no other choice. Sunset slowly lowered her head.

"I....Sunset Shimmer vow and plead in hope that you would allow me to be your student." Sunset bows to Twilight sparkle. "Soooo I humbly except the honor." she sighs. as her knees wobble slightly due to her lack of sleep.

"Then we shall begin as soon as you get yourself some breakfast... I'm sure the chief can dish you up something." Twilight smiles as she slowly walks by Sunset Shimmer. Twilight was obviously trying her best to stay as serious as she possibly could. Sunset was rather hungry on the other hoof. She hadn't really thought about it until Twi had brought it up. Her lips quivered as her stomach growled. She wasn't going to stand there much longer. She had to stuff something in her face. Sunset looked around to make sure nopony was watching her. She wasn't exactly used to her pony body anymore. She wasn't used to all the feeling she was feeling. She began to slowly trot to the kitchen area. The slight trot quickly turned to run. She was to hungry to be taking her time. She eventually made it to the kitchen nearly running into the pony version of Flash Sentry as she entered the door. She stopped in front of the chief, she was panting very hard.

"Hello...Miss, may I interest you in something to eat?" The chief asked casually.

"Yes, yes you may." she breaths heavily. "I am starving." Sunset smiles at the chief.

"I'll take it a nice breakfast is what you need." The pony smiled back as he walked to go get he something he was willing to give without cost. He came out with an actually expensive item. A brand of sandwich that normally only the royals came and ate. "Here you go, this one is on the house." He smiles at Sunset.

"R-really your going to allow me to eat that without pay." Sunset shuffled her hooves in excitement.

"Of course I will, after all I know who you are" He smiles more . "Actually surprised you didn't recognize me, I was the chief when you were still Celestias Student."

"No way, Grease fryer, she didn't fire you yet." Sunset said as she recognized the pony giving her the food. Grease fryer had been the cook for sometime. Sunset was glad he was still here, she was happy to have seen more ponies she had known when she was here last.

"Yup, Somehow that princess finds me un-fire-able." Grease said as he tries to make up a word to fit the situation.

"Glad there are someponies here still. Well at least ones that I know." Sunsets horn starts to glow in an opal glow. she levitates the sandwich. Her eyes gleaming as she looked at it. She took a bite out of it. Her taste buds buzzed with excitement as she ate the rather good sandwich. She smiled at Grease and then turned to walk out of the kitchen. She ran right into Twilight again. They both clashed to the floor, Twilight ending up on top of sunset a pan somehow had wound up onto of Twilights head. Twilight used her wings to move the pan up a little so she could see.

"Oh S-sunset S-shimmer. I'm sorry I didn't see you there." Twilight smiles at her new student.

"N-no don't apologize, I should be the one apologizing." sunset had a huge blush on her face as she was starting to crush on the princess.

"Don't be silly, I ran into you~." Twilight giggles her right hoof covering her own mouth as she did. "Of course I'm going to apologize."

"P-princess Twilight I......" Sunset is quickly interrupted as Twilight puts a hoof over sunsets mouth.

"Please...just call me Twilight~." Twilight smiles brighter as she gets off of Sunset who was showing signs of being uncomfortable.

"W-well A-alright Twilight." Sunsets eyes start to hurt as she smiles. "Owwww~ I think I'm getting a head ache." Sunset put her amber hoof on her own forehead. "I think I need to go for a walk." she looked at the crystal floor of the castle. She was lucky that the chief followed Celestia everywhere she went because he normally was at the Canterlot. She was lucky for the simple fact she knew him. But she had to get out of there. "Please do excuse me." Sunset stood up and slowly walked out of the kitchen. Sunset could feel he own body heat rising to extremes. She wasn't turning back to convers with Twilight. She was getting to stressed over the sudden feelings she was feeling for Twilight. She couldn't shake the feeling of hate deep down inside her while at the same time she was crushing on the one who had caused her so much pain. Sunset quickly went into the closest room to her. She entered backwards closing the door. She slowly turned around to she The mirror that had caused her so much pain. Sunset heart dropped as she slowly approached it. She remembered so long ago when Celestia had shown this thing to her. That was the day she saw her own self becoming an all powerful Alicorn. The day she began her steep decent into insanity. Sunset reached her right hoof to it. Tears now uncontrollably streaming down her cheeks. Her hoof touched it and the mirrors glass turned red. her reflection turning into the Demon of her dreams. Sunset jumped back scared. Her ears pinned back as she saw her own reflection. The human like demon lowly turned into a pony version of itself.

"Sunnnnnnsssset~" it whispered as the door to exit could be heard locking.

"Noo~! I'm dreaming I'm dreaming." Sunset couldn't stand her own past.

"I am that all powerful alicorn you strive to beee~" The demon said as a red light appeared down the middle of the mirrors glass creating a split image. The demons face being half and sunsets being the other half. "Twilight will never love you...Because your me~!" the demon began to chuckle and laugh loudly. Sunsets eyes rolled back and she passed out, falling hard her head bouncing on the ground as she hit it, Her eyes rolled back facing forward. The whites of her eyes now black, The reflection of the demon started to come out of the mirror as a red mist entering into Sunsets head. Sunsets eyes started to glow completely cyan as the demon tried taking hold of her. That's when the door to the portal room began to open and the mist retreated back into the mirror and exiting Sunsets head. The mirror returned to normal in a millisecond. Twilight entering the room.

"Sunset~!" she quickly ran to the unconscious unicorn.

The Darkness of the Empress

Sunset opened her eyes to see Equestria floating in front of her again. She could hear the sound of Twilights voice.

"Sunset shimmer, wake up come on wake up~!" She was yelling rather loudly, to the point where Sunset had to cover her ears. This looked like her same dream, but where was the fire? Where was the demon?

"Helllllooooo is anypony here?" Sunset said a she could hear Twilight repeating herself, her voice becoming faint. Sunset began to walk

towards Equestria. A flash of light happened on the surface and then flame spread across the surface. She turned to run away from it. The mirror from the portal room was now floating in front of her. She could see the burning Equestria in the reflection. Sunsets eyes began to fill with tears. "I just don't want that, I don't" she fell down onto her plot now sitting on what was now the ground of the portal room she with her eyes buried in her front hooves. She felt a wing go around her. Sunset slowly raise her head looking at the mirror again. The demon pony sat on it plot by her. It huge red and black velvet like wing around her. The demon appeared to be crying with her.

"Oh Sunset, If only she could love you back." The demon said as it dark eyes kept looking at Sunset.

"What are you talking about? why cant you just leave me alone?" Sunset tried to move away from the demon. "Let go of me you demon~!" Sunset said as she couldn't move away all of the sudden.

"My name is not DEAMON!" the demon fades and then appears in front of Sunset. "It's Empress, Empress of flame." Empresses hooves started to glow in cyan "And you will be mine!"

Sunsets eyes shot open, Her body sweaty body being held by Twilight. Sunsets breaths were shallow and choked.

"Sunset your awake~!" Twilight said as she wrapped her wings around her. "I was worried you had hurt yourself, you hit the ground petty hard. I hear it as I walked by" Twilight said putting a hoof on Sunsets head. Sunset groaned in pain, her body felt like it was on fire.

"Owwwwwwwwwwwwwww~ my head really hurts~!" Sunset said with a groan. "How long was I out?"

"Five minutes, you were out for five minutes." Twilight says with concern in her voice now. Hitting your head that hard was a very real risk of concussion or brain damage.

"It only felt like a couple seconds, Ughhhh I don't feel so good." Sunset put a hoof on her stomach as she continues to groan. Her headache was beginning to be the least painful thing.

"We should get you to be Sunny, You look like you could use it." Twilight said in a friendly tone of voice.

"I suppose your right Twilight, after a fall like that i need some rest...." she stopped talking remembering her dream. "Nope nevermind i don't need sleep, I don't want to sleep." Twiligh looked at sunset one of her own ears pin slightly in confusion.

"Sunset why did you change your mind so suddenly?" Twilight questioned in a confused tone of voice. She wasn't understanding how one could change their mind so quickly.

"Twilight I don't want to sleep, because if I sleep Empress is there." sunset said naming her dark side by name without thinking first.

"Who s Empress?" Twilight said as she slowly stood up now.

"You remember when I turned into that she demon in the human world Twilight. That was Empress, she keeps torturing me in my dreams." Sunset began to hyperventilate as she began to think about the dream.

"Sunset calm down your breathing to fast, I know who can help you with this dream." She says trying to bring some kind of closure to Sunset.

"Really~! you know somepony who can help?" Sunset was ecstatic to make these dreams stop

"Princess of the night Princess Luna, She can help you. All you have to do is dream." Twilight smiles and nuzzle Sunset on her soft amber cheek. Sunset blushed deeply and couldn't hold this back. Sunset quickly pressed her lips onto Twilights. They locked together, Twilights eyes widen for she was not ready for such action. Twilight made one huge mistake, she didn't know what to do and she slightly liked the kiss. So she didn't stop sunset. She slowly pulled away and panted slightly. Twilight made no notion to not wanting it, so sunset took that as Twilight did not mind it.

"S-sorry Twilight I wont do it again, I have been holding that back since I returned." she blushed deeper as she slowly gathered herself. wobbling slightly as she stood.

"It's fine, but we really should get you to sleep so Luna can help you." Twilight smiled as she tried to urge Sunset from kissing her again.

"your right., I want these dreams to end and this is the only way to do so it seems." Sunset was still blushing. "Could you help me to my room Twilight?" Sunset questioned for she wasn't sure she herself was really ready to be walking by herself.

"Of course I can." Twi smiles brighter. Sunset nodded as Twilight began to embrace her with a wing. Sunset sure felt secure in her embrace. Yet still she couldn't shake that deep hatred feeling she was feeling. Soon they did reach Sunsets room, that's when Sunny felt the most scared. She wanted to have the dreams stop, she just wished she didn't have to dream for it to end. Twilight slowly brought Sunny to the bed and helped her lay down. Fear was visible in Sunsets eyes. She could tell Twi wasn't the least bit concerned. Why should she be, all she knew was that Sunset was having bad dreams. Sunset kept her own cyan eyes locked onto the ceiling. She didn't want to look around before she drifted off. Sunsets eyes slowly closed and the world went black.

Sunset opened er eyes to see Equestria before her once again.

"Empress I KNOW YOUR HERE!" Sunset was real tired of this dream, two years of this shit and she had enough. a ball of flame appeared infron of her, the ball slowly disapated and there stood Empress.

"You called?" she laughs the world behind empress lit on fire. "I was busy sorry i took so long."

"I have had enough, I want this to end~!" Sunset yelled confronting what she beleived was part of her dream.

"you can't stop what is a part of you!" Empress yells back as Luna suddenly appeared between them in a flash of light.

"Sunset this is what your scared of." Luna said calmly as she to thought empress was only part of the dream. Lunas horn glows in an attempt to evaporate empress like she does to get rid of fear in dreams as she confronts the dreamer. Thats when Lunas eyes widened as Empress still stood there. "Your not a dream" Lunas eyes shimmered with distress. "Sunset back up~!" Luna ordered Sunset to back away. Luna tried to wake Sunset up using magic but for some reason her magic asnt working here.

"She is mine!" Empress yelled as her large wings spread. Her wings were much bigger than lunas. Luna spread her own wings rather slowly.

"Sunset you have to wake up!" Luna said in her royal canterlot voice.

"Welcome to my nightmare~!" Empress turned to her human form of demon. she spread her arms and slowly brought her hands together creating a mass of fire and black magic between her hands. "Now get out!" Empress laughed as she threw the mas right at Luna. Luna barrel rolled to the right to dodge it. She rolled to the right and the space around them turned into the ball room of Canterlot castle. Sunset had to wake up before Luna got hurt.

"You will not succeed, now that you have foolishly showed that you are real we can find what it is you want and we can stop you." wisps of blue light began to rotate Around Luna as her horn glows. Luna shot a beam of magic right at Empress. Empress waves a hand and a cyan beam came out of her hand intercepting Luna's beam. The two beams locked together and were in a battle for which one would beat the other.

"You underestimate me Princess." Empress laughs as she thrusts her hand forward causing her beam to overpower Luna's. Luna went flying back hitting Sunset shimmer. The world around them began to move in slow motion as sunset woke up from the impact.

Sunsets eye opened slowly as Luna now laid next to her. Lunas mane was smoking slightly.

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, we have worse problems then a dream." Luna said as she was shaking.

It had been a month after Luna's accident in the dream world. Luna and every other princess was now aware of the danger inside Sunset. Twilight was on her way to go ask something of Sunset. She arrived at Sunset room, she took her purple hoof and knocked softly. Sunset opened it casually as she had become used to living back in Equestria again. Despite still being haunted by the same dream every night.

"Twilight it's a delight to see you." Sunset gave a soft smile as she started to hide the blush she was having.

"Sunset my student I came to invite you to a picnic with me and my friends." Twilight smiled a glimmer in her eye.

"I would love that, thank you very much." Sunsets horn glows in an opal essence and she levitated something into her saddlebag behind her. She was hiding something. Yet twilight shrugged it off not worrying about it.

"I hope your ready to go Sunset because I am. not to mention the picnic starts in fifteen minutes." Twilight said casually.

"Of course I'm ready." Sunset had yet to actually meet Twilight friends in this world. She had been at the crystal empire tis whole time. Now she was off with Twi to the Canterlot gardens. "Just let me get my saddlebag." Sunny smiled brightly as she quickly uses her magic to grab the bag. It didn't take long for the two mare to make it to the cold train station. Sunset thought today was the day that she was going to be able to tell Twilight her feelings for her. But could she? What if Twilight felt revolted towards Sunset after she told her. Soon they were on the most nerve racking train ride ever. Sunset was getting clearly nervous and scared. This fright only building up inside of her. Sunset had not felt this gut ache of nervousness since she was in the human world. The words of the demon kept ringing in her head

"If only she could love you" Empress had said to sunset. Those words were what made Sunset only want to try harder. She wanted to prove that thing wrong. Eventually Canterlot came visible in the distance. Sunsets heart skipped a beat as memories of her studies at that place began to fill her mind. It had been so long since se had seen this place, so long since she would have been near it. Sunset remembered how she had ran away from here one fateful night. The train came to a very loud stop, this waking Sunset from her daze.

"We are here Sunny." Twilight said as she quickly got out of the spot next to Sunset. Sunset slowly stood up, her knees very shaky.

"We got here faster than I thought we would." Sunset gulped nervously. What would Twi's Friends think of her.

"Yeah aren't you just so excited?" Twilight questioned excitedly.

"Excited is one word you cold use." Sunset gulped again as they got off the train. Thankfully the train stopped right by the castle. Though this scared Sunset as she looked at the towering walls she had not seen in ages. That's when she was met with the violet eyes of a blue pagasi.

"Hi nice to finally meet you." Rainbow said as she got in Sunset face. "Thought you should meet Twi's awesomest friend first.". Sunset took a deep breath and then looked at the pagasi.

"N-nice to meet you as well." Sunset stuttered slightly. That's when miss Pinkie Pie hopped into the conversation.

"PLEASE NOPONY TELL ME I'M LATE~!" pinkie said as she started panting from all the hopping.

"No Pinkie your right on time." Twilight said real fast and calmly.

"Hey where is flashy?" Pinkie quickly and loudly says.

"wait who's flashy?" Sunset said in confusion "I don't believe Twi has ever mentioned a Flashy to me?" Sunset was very confused.

"OH FLASHY IS TWI'S COLTFRIEND FLASH....SENTRY" Pinkie said as Twilight tried to cut off pinkies words. Those words hit Sunset harder than she's been hit before.

"W-wait you h-have a coltfriend?" Sunset choked out these words. Sunset felt a pain shoot up her spine and into her head.

"Pinkie why did you have to blurt that out?" Twilight said angrily. "Sunset I was going to tell you I promise!" Twilight said scared on how Sunset was going to react

"No you weren't, I SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN MY ROOM~!" sunset yelled as she ran into the castle fear and anger filling her mind. She ran into the castle her eyes full of tears. Right when she was going to tell Twilight how she felt she finds out this. She felt her anger starting to take hold of her much like it had when she put on the element of harmony so many moons ago. Sunset ran and ran, She quickly ducked into a random room. She opened her tear filled eyes as she was quickly pinned to the wall by the embodiment of her anger. Empress the demon had her pinned to the wall.

"It's time to let me out." Empress opened her mouth and she disappeared. Sunset collapsed to the ground. Her eyes now closed. She laid motionless for quite some time. She slowly opened her eyes. The whites of her eyes slowly turned black. it appeared and if a black liquid was going over the whites. Her eyes now looked like nothing but cyan halos.

Twilight paced back and fourth.

"should we go in after her?" Twilight groans "What if she gets herself hurt?" Twilight was getting worried

"Why did she react like that, she didn't even get the chance to meet us all?" Rainbow crosses her hooves.

"I'm not entirely sure about that myself~!" Twilight says as she began to be more and more anxious.

"Does anypony else smell smoke~?" Fluttershy says quietly. Her friends quickly smell the air as the smell of smoke filled their lunges. They cough as they look towards the door. That's when Discord appears.

"Does anypony smell smoke." he says as he looks around. "I think it's coming from inside the castle" he slightly smiles unfazed.

"Discord why don't you just nap it away?" Twilight said as she rushed into the castle.

"Don't you think i tried that?" He snaps and nothing happens to the flame inside or smoke. "For some reason i cant get it to budge, maybe it has something to do with the magical imbalance i just felt?" He rubbed his beard slightly. Twilight ran into the burning room. She looked around frantically. She looked to her right and came face to face with sunset who's eyes were still changed. Her ears were changing shape while Twilight looked at sunset. who had smoke coming out of her nose. Sunset was much taller than before. She was half Empress and half herself. A shade of red became the color of her fur.

"Sunset what's happening to you?" Twilight yelled.

"I'm becoming the monster you made me." she began to cry as she started to float up slowly. Giant red and black demon wings formed painfully on sunsets back as she floated up her tears evaporating as she started turning completely to empress. a ball of fire appeared around sunset and she shot through the roof of the building. Rubble fell down towards the unsuspecting Twilight. Discord quickly appeared his hangs glowing gold. he released a force field to protect them from the falling debris. He grabbed twilight and his wings spread, he started to glow as he teleported them out of that collapsing room. At least the rest of the castle was ok. That was when Luna and Celestia flew down to the mane six and Discord.

"What happened here?" Celestia said as luna was nearly collapsing to her knees as she looked at this mess.

"It was Sunset, Sunset shimmer. But it didn't look like her anymore." Twilights ears perk up. "No she was upset, she always goes to her room when she was upset. her room is at the crystal empire. We cant have her do this there not while Cadence is.......... pregnant."

Princess Cadence was walking with her beloved husband Shinning Armor. It was quite a lovely day for the Crystal Empire.

"Honey, I have a funny story I should tell you." Cadence giggled.

"Oh really what might that be, I'm always for a good story." Shinning Armor said with a chuckle.

"Ok so yesterday I was watering the garden when a delightful little filly crystal pony came to me. She looked at me and then to my stomach. The little filly looked at me with confusion in her little cerulean eyes and said. Why is your stomach so big." Cadence giggles. "So I looked at the little one and said, Well that's because I have a baby." Cadence began to try and hold back laughing hard. "Then she looked at me with wide eyes and asked why I had eaten a baby" Shinning Armor began to laugh when some of his guards ran past him. Shinning raised a brow at the speed they were moving. That's when a bright orange light in the sky caught his eye.

"What is....that?" Shinning quickly wandered to the closest balcony. Shinning tried to look closer. "Run cadence run~!" Shinning doubled back from the ledge as the ball of orange light was heading right for him. He ran and grabbed his pregnant wife. Cadence couldn't move very fast so when the ball of what now was obviously fire hit the balcony they were thrown to the ground by the wave of energy that came from the hit. Dust and smoke began to fill the hallways near the impact.

"Shinning I can hardly......breath~!" Cadence yelled out.

"Cadence where are you I cant see you!?" Shinning yelled in question as a cyan light started to shine through the darkness. Shinning looked towards the light squinting in the dusty darkness. He was now able to make out to cyan halos that appeared to be eyes. "What is that!?" HE yelled out as he saw the outline of large bat like wings begin to spread. The wings flapped and the dust all went flying out of the area. A large wave of dark energy came with it. Shinning cover his eyes with his foreleg. He slowly uncovered his eyes to become face to face with the Empress of Flame.

"Hia sweetheart~!" she said laughing slightly. Shinning looked at the demon before him, he looked closely and he could tell this was Sunset Shimmer.

"Sunset Shimmer what happened to you!?" Shinning scooted back. Cadence now coughing behind him. The halo like eyes of empress slowly shifted to look at cadence. Empresses eyes slowly turned completely cyan as she could see the growing baby inside of Cadence. Empress slowly made her way towards Cadence. Shinning took this as a threat towards his wife. His horn began to glow brightly as he sent a blast of magic directly into the back of Empresses back. Empress was sent face first into the ground. She let out a growls as she lay on the ground.

"What a mistake you just made!" she laughed out loud as her horn began to glow in a bubbly mix of black and Cyan blue. She slowly stood up getting into a fighting stance. Shinning Armor quickly got into his fighting stance as six guards joined his side three on each side. They had their long spears at ready, their horns all glowing a rather similar color to one another's. dust and gravel was starting to rotate around Empress as she waited for one of them to be stupid enough to actually make a move. That's when she took the opportunity to use a spell she had used before in the past. Her Mane flickered violently as her eyes began to swirl. Cyan halos appeared over the heads of Shinning's backup. the halos quickly contracted into the heads of those guards. The one to his right that was closets to Shinning quickly swung his spear at him. Shinning saw this and quickly used his magic to draw his sword. Shinning's swords quickly blocked the swing as another guard tried thrusting his spear into Shinning's back. Shinning Armor used his right hoof on the spear being thrust at him. He knocking it to the ground. and roundhouse kicked it into the wall. He now faced the guard who had attempted to stab him in the back. Shinning went to attack the guard who's spear was now stuck in the wall. Just as Shinning went for the attack the base bar of the spear of the other guard who had swung at him first, went in front of his neck close lining him. Shinning fell to the ground coughing spastically. He quickly caught his breath to roll away from a spear that was being thrust at shinning face. Cadence watched rather helplessly as her husband was being assaulted by his own stallions. She had no choice but to try and do something about it. Maybe her love based magic could do something to help. Shinning quickly got up onto his hooves again and used his magic to swing his sword at one of the Stallions attacking him. He caught the front leg of the stallion making it harder for him to stand. He didn't' want o kill his own men but he might have to. That's when all five that could walk just fine charged at shinning. Shinning's horn glowed slightly as he pressed the edge of his own blade to his own nose. He teleported away from them causing them all to accidentally stab each other. Shinning went to face Empress who now was walking in a battle circle with Cadence. Cadence had her horn glowing with a very light cornflower blue color.

"you leave my husband alone." Cadence growls at Empress.

"Cadence, STOP YOU CAN'T FIGHT HER~!" Shinning could feel the dark powers radiating off of Empress.

"You should have listened to your hubby~!" Empresses hooves glowed in a cyan blue aura as Cadence began to float up into the air. "Don't worry sweetheart Your baby will be just fine~!" she laughs as she tosses Cadence directly at her husband. "Now watch your world burn~!" Empress reared up onto her rear hooves. dust and rock revolving around her fast. She slammed her front hooves back onto the ground cracks formed around her hooves. The cracks started to expand in front of her. Black and blue flames spewing out of them. Empress flapped her wings and a wave of blue cyan energy went flying out far into the distance. "your kingdom belongs to me now, you will not resist you will obey." her eyes swirl and cyan halos form around both of their heads. The halos contract into them controlling them.

Discord squirms feeling the magic.

"Oooooooooooooooooo~ that can't be good." he scratched his back. "The whole not wanting her at the Crystal Empire, we may be tooooo, LATE~!"

"Then we have to go, there isn'T much......" Twilights words were cut off with the white wing of celestia.

"Twilight we can not rush into this. Discord was able to sense that power which only indicates she is very powerful." Celestia says with a stern look on her face.

"Ooooh come we took on dipcord!" Rainbow yells out. "We can take her on, apparently our alternate sleves did in that other world!"

"She makes a REALLY good point~!" Pinkie yells out as well in an attempt to back Rainbow Dash up.

"Girls Celestia is right." Twilight sighs. "We cant rush into this."

"Which is why we will be sending in discord." Celestia says as her wings flare open in anger towards the thought of her ex student Sunset.

"Wait me~" Discord floats over towards Celestia. "Oh the honor it would be to help in such dire situations" He smiles chaotically. "so when do i head off?"

"We can't go till we are sure of her exact plan and location, she could move fast at any moment now that she has wings." Celestia snorts hot air in anger.

"When the time comes, consider it done." he grins

The mirror to the other world remained in the crystal empire, Empress standing in front of it as the portal remained active.

"Oh what a world on the other side of this. A world that will also pay for my failure." The demon hissed as she walked close to the portal. She placed a red hoof on the metal case that made up the exterior. "oh the songs I could sing about you." Her Cyan and black eyes began to swirl. Her magic aura now being able to be sensed by Discord. The portal started to swirl and turn red as Empress slowly stepped hoof inside. Dark magic electric bolts now sparking off the portal. The portal began to enter a state of overload. Empress entered the otherworld. Though it was morning in Equestria it was night in the human world. She crawled out of the portal her human feminine stature very prominent. She looked at her red four clawed hands. "hahahahahhaha what a sight that is, Now what to do with this world." Her cyan halo like eyes slowly shifted towards the school. A wicked smile slowly spread across her face. Her massive wings flapped and she floated up and over to the schools roof. This is when Flash Sentry pulled up to the school. He did not see her but he did not come alone. The human pinkie pie and Rainbow Dash were there with him.

"So Pinkie Rainbow, why exactly did you two want to come here in the middle of the night for?" Flash looked at both of them. He yawned slightly.

"Rainbow Dash over here apparently has a Really bad feeling. She has been having it since Sunset dove into the portal several months ago." Pinkie said without a care in the world.

"It was just weird. She just left." Rainbow rubs her own arm in dismay.

"What are you blind, she was here and all she received from anyone was hate!" Flash immediately got aggravated towards Rainbows confusion. "Everyday all day all she got was bad looks bad, words and, torture. Do you have any Idea what that does to people heads?"

"Flash it's not that I don't know why she left. It's that I'm confused as to what made her leave so quickly." Rainbow sighed. Empress was using her large ears to listen into what they were saying. Everytime they said she or Sunset. Empress got more and more aggravated. To the point where she was tired of just sitting there listening. Her wings flapped and she flew up in the air. she dove down landing between them all. Dust went flying and as did Rainbow and flash. Including pinkie, Empresses eyes glowed and was all that was visible in the thick dust that was kicked up. Flash coughed and looked into the eyes. Fear began to fill his every thought. Other than hoping the girls were ok he was just hoping that they were unharmed.

"Girls RUN~!" he coughed out his words. "go now, there is something here?" The dust began to clear and he saw what stood before him. "Sunset~!" he yelled out.

"No way~!" Rainbow yelled when she saw Empress.

"Hia sweetheart, sorry but Sunset isn't here you are welcome to leave a message." Empress laughs and then slowly wipes a tear out of her eye. "Now time for your perish." she quickly hold two hand together her wings flap once and her eyes turn completely cyan.

"Holly shit run run run~!" Flash yelled out as he staggeringly got to his feet. "RUN!" he turned and began to run. A Orange and black fiery ball began to form between Empresses hands. She was about to throw it when a golden glow began to form around Empress. She was suddenly teleported away, back to Equestria. Empress was in shock, she slowly looked up to see the floating master of chaos Discord.

"So if it isn't Sunset Shimmer. I'm sure you must know why I forced you back here." Discord smiles as he slowly floated back down to the ground. golden lightning sparking off his eagle claw and lion paw.

"Don't call me by the name of the one who suppressed me all this time~!" Empress growls as her alicorn horn began to glow.

"Oh that's right, your not Sunset are you?" Discord grins deviously. "I'm quite aware on who you are Empress." he scratched his bearded chin. "Though I'm afraid you'll have to throw in your towel and release sunset and the hold you have on her." Discords eyes turned a soled gold color.

"Never going to happen, I have WORKED TO HARD FOR THIS!" Empress spread her wings as her mane and tail began to flow much like a raging fire. Her eyes glowing a much brighter cyan blue.

"So be it." Discord snapped his fingers and the ground below him turned checkered. The checkered flannel then turned to chains under Empress. The chains wrapped around Empress as Discord was attempting to subdue her.

"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo~!" Empress stomped her right hooves causing the chains to melt. She immediately comet dashed at Discord who was unsuspecting. She spiraled at him slamming right into him. Discord who was caught off guard was brought to the ground. His tail wrapped around the slender red mare in an attempt to get her off him. He used his tail to whip her to the ground. H managed to do this successfully.

"Now empress you must remember your dealing with The master of chaos." Discord snapped getting back on his own to feet. "There is literally nothing you could do that could stop me and my mission to bring back the better in you."

"That is where you are wrong." Empress looked into Discords eyes and her eyes began to swirl.

"What are you doing?" Discord chuckled unfazed.

"Look at your hooves sweetheart." she cackles as Discord looked down to see he was turning to stone.

"WHAT HOW CAN YOU....." He stuttered

"You forget I posses the power of the element of harmony. I am the evil from inside it." she laughs as discord was now half way stone. "I'd ask you to tell the princesses I say hi but you wont be able to." she flaps her wings and discord becomes fully incased in stone.

Twilight Sparkle awoke with a jolting pain. She had went to bed to try and ease her nerves over the whole Empress situation. Though the dream she had just had seemed more like a vision. Then again, how could Discord be turned to stone by one entity? How could one entity overpower Discord? There were too many questions running through her head. So many of which she did not have the answers for. That's when both Celestia and Luna rushed into the room. The expressions on their faces expressed grave concern and fear.

"Princess Twilight, did you just dream what we dreamed? Did Discord fail?" Celestia questioned. The words she spoke hit Twilight like a train. What she had just seen was no dream but a vision.

"Yes, I saw what you saw. We put our trust in a friend only to have him turned to stone. How could we have let this happen?" Twilight put a hoof to her own forehead. The pain in her head was excruciating.

"We all doubted the power of Empress. None of us saw this coming." Luna sighed with a tear in her eye.

"There is no doubt we should have sent the Elements to take care of the problem in the first place." Celestia looked at Twilight as if to say she was sorry for her decision.

"Like Luna said, none of us saw this coming. We all underestimated the Enemy." Twilight rolled out of bed to become ready and alert. "We can not let such facts slip are mind again, We know she could be on her way here at any moment. I believe that if we are not prepared we will fall." Luna and Celestia nodded. They were pleased with Twilights words.

"What do we do, This creature nearly killed me in the dream realm. Who knows what it is fully capable of." Luna says her wings slowly spreading. Her eyes gleaming in the light of her moon.

"Luna has a valid point. We don't know what Empress is capable of doing. She was already able to overcome the Crystal Empire. We are already down one alicorn." Celestia said, for she felt the mention of Cadence and the fall of the Crystal Empire was in need of mention.

"I'm not sure what there is to be done there. I was only able to defeat the Demon using the power of the elements." Twilight sighs. "Since they are now on the Tree of harmony, What are we going to use?" Twilights eyes immediately widened as an idea entered her own mind. Celestia and Luna both took notice to Twilight and her Facial expression. "Sunset Shimmer had romantic feelings for me, maybe those feelings can be use to draw the Sunset we know out."

"No there must be another way~!" Celestia said as she resorted to anger. "We cannot risk her taking the mind of another alicorn."

"Celestia, I will proceed with what I see fit. None of your words will sway my decision. I will be off to the Crystal Empire in an hour." Twilight said as she began to take charge.

Empress sat in the throne of Cadence, She had the stone statue of Discord next to her. Shinning and Cadence both mind controlled and forced to guard her. The whole empire was near collapse for Empress had stolen their last defense, the crystal heart. Empress was spinning it like a ball on her hoof.

"Oh poo, how boring is your Empire anyways?" Empress laughed, "No really. your Empire fell in less than fifteen minutes. I think i may have beaten Sombra's record." she grinned as she spread her large demonic wings. "How tempted I am to break this, So many spirits i would crush in the instence. If only i wasn't as so cruel to wait." Empressed laughed some more as she was basking in her first victory. Her ears perked up as she could sense a magical presence, Smoke slowly began to spew out of her nostrals. Twilight then busted through the door to the throne room. Cadence and Shinning were about to go dispatch of Twilight when Empress raised a hoof making them stop. "Now, now that is no way to treat company~!" Empress smiled devilishly.

"Empress release the spell you casted on my brother and Cadence." Twilight snorted in anger. "And then release Sunset and stop your doomed plan."

"Nononoononononno, First off Princes Twilight. I will be doing no such thing. After all this is all thanks to you." she smiled as she floated over to Twilight. "Without your action of Taking Sunsets heart and breaking it. I would never have been able to take hold."

"Enough of your lies, We can stop this now. Or you will have to face the concequences of your crimes to the fullest of extent." Twilight said as she tried to stay true to the royal duty of which she had to carry out. Empress floated back over to the throne of which she was sitting on moments ago. One of her brows raised slowly as she seemed to be thinking. Her halo like eyes then quickly shifted over to Twilight.

"You must think this is only about Equestria. You must truly believe this is all I want." Empress claps her hooves together.

"W-what are you talking about?" Twilight said as she began to grow confused. Empress then clapped her hooves three time. This teleported the Mirror into the room. She smiled as she thrusted her hoof forward. Magic then shoved Twilight through the portal of which was still sparking and heating up. Empress flew in after her, the portal started to spark more after her entrance. Twilight slowly opened her eyes as she looked down at the cold concrete ground below her. She had successfully made it through to the other world. She turned her hand over to see her purple palm was covered in a black ash. Twilight slowly raised her gaze to see a burning tank and ash raining from the sky.

"Don't you just love what I've done to the place. You were right when you said this world wouldn't survive if it had to face a powerful force." Empress chuckled as several transformed people flew down. They had changes much like snips and snail had when they were forced into demon forms.

"Why, how could you do this?!" Twilight felt tears swell in her eyes.

"Simple really, They sided with you in my defeat. Soooo in turn they perish under my rule." Empress said as she used her hands to help Twilight to her feet. "They fight really hard, In fact the fight is still going. LET US GET A FIRST CLASS VIEW!" Empress spread her wings as she grabbed Twilight by the shoulders. She quickly flew up. Twilight let out a scream as she was dragged into the sky. She wanted to fight back for this world but was magic less so she couldn't.

"Put me down, There is no need for this. You don't have to do any of this!" Twilight yelled trying to convince the demon to stop. Ash and soot was now plastering on Twilights clothes. Also this was leaving dark marks on her face. Empress landed on top of Canterlot Highs roof. and pointed out to a row of tanks and military fighting against demonized humans. One tank slowly started to aim at Empress.

"See this is the pain you have caused this world. this is the pain you have caused Sunset. This is me putting an end to it!" Empress yelled for she did not notice the approaching attack on herself. Twilight on the other hand did. The tank fired and was heading straight for twilight, Empress saw this and her eyes immediately changed to Sunsets eyes. Only momentarily. Empress put up a hand out and the shell of the shot fires stopped right infront of Twilights face. "You never fire at HER!" Empress threw the bullet back at the tank, destroying it. Then Empresses eyes returned and That small reminisce of Sunset was gone.

"See, right there. Empress there is still good left in you. Sunset is that good!" Twilight said trying to use words against Empress. Empress quickly turned twilight around as she locked hand with Twi.

"You know I'm starting to see why She was so attracted to you." A deep and demonic purr escaped Empresses throat. Empress placed one of her clawed hands on Twilights stomach. Her hand glowed and it burned the top Twilight was wearing clean off. Without burning of Twilights Bra or burning Twilights skin. Twilights eyes widened at the Empresses sudden change in attitude.

"Stop! You cant just....." Twilights eyes widened more as Empress kissed Twilight on the neck. Twilight felt a warm tingly sensation serge through her body in response to the demonic and fiery kiss. Twilight couldn't help but like that feeling.

"I believe your body says otherwise." Empress said as her fangs slightly scratched Twilight on her neck. "You Princess Twilight are the reason this is all happening. Why not become a part of it?"

"NO, I will not fall victim to your cruel joke!" Twilight tried getting out of the grasp of Empress. "You will not succeed in your plan! The magic of friendship will defeat you. All of these people all of the ponies in Equestria will unite as one. They will defeat you." Twilight smiled as she spoke her words of friendship. Empresses hair began to flicker more rapidly like a raging fire. She was now getting agitated.

"If that was true they would have won already, so enough of your fake wisdom." Empress turned Twilight around so she could look her in the eyes. Empress placed a claw in-between the divider of both bra cups. She quickly cut it with one curl of her finger. Twilight quickly caught it so it wouldn't fall.

"Your in denial Empress, you know I'm right. You know that they will stand no chance if I were to side with you. That is your only reason for tying to tempt me." Twilight said as she held her bra to her chest. Empress then brought Twi closer to her.

"Oh really? Is that what you truly believe?" Empress laughs only to slowly wipe a tear from her own eye. "My your soooo wrong Princess." Empress takes three claws and uses them to caress Twilight right cheek.

"Stop touching me!" Twilight tried moving her head away from the demonic hand.

"You want me to stop!" Empress starts to get even more aggravated. "Fine I'll respect you enough to not touch you with my hands." Empress then quickly locked her red lips with Twilights mulberry colored lips. A very hot sensation formed on Twilights lips that sensation then spread throughout her body and then resonated to be between her legs. Empress was trying her best to sway Twi to her side. Twilight wanted it to stop but she also didn't want it to. Twi then slowly began to kiss Empress back. Empress than slowly tried to get the bra completely off Twilight. Twilight then realized she was falling for Empress, she had to stop before she couldn't. Twilight then quickly pulled away from Empress and ran for the edge roof of the building. She slid to a stop when she saw the long fall. and the distance she had to jump if she wanted to make it into the portal from here. She had no choice not when she had a powerful Demon behind her. Twilight then turned around and then started her run for the edge again. She leaped
off, wind rushing through her hair. Empress taking flight not far behind her. Twilight felt like she was moving in slow motion as her legs barely caught the face of the statue that was the portal. The apparently malfunctioning Portal then sucked her the rest of the way through. She was thrown back into Equestria. She knew Empress would not be far behind her. She also knew that when Empress came through that portal Equestria may have it's final stand.

Twilight couldn't just lay there not with that thing coming after her. She scampered to her hooves and began to run. Empress poked her head out of the portal. She began to run after Twilight only to be intercepted by Celestia. Celestia tackled Empress to the ground. Twilight heard this and looked back.

"Celestia. Noooooo~!" Twilight turned to go help Celestia.

"Run Twilight, Go NOW~!" Celestia's Horn began to glow in a bright and vibrant golden color.

"Celestia, No she will kill you, Come run with me!" Twilight hollered.

"Then at least I'd be dying for a good cause, NOW RUN~!" Celestia yelled as she shot a beam of energy at Empress. Empress responded with firing a Black magic beam at hers. Their magic beams locked up.

"Step aside, Twilight has interfered with my plans one too many times already.... SHE NEEDS TO BE DEALT WITH~!" Empress growled as her horn began to spark. She was putting fourth so much energy. Celestia was not a weak being. She knew how to fight when she needed to.

"Your plan ends with me." Celestia flapped her wings and she flew up. She continued to keep her magical beam locked up with Empresses magic.

"We will have to see about that!" Empresses hooves began to glow in a cyan glow. She lifted her front hooves and she used magic through them to grab the flying princess. "Come down birdy!" Empress thrust her hooves down. The magic forced Celestia to slam into the ground. Celestia growled as she was plowed into the ground. She slowly stood up again.

"Sunset Shimmer I know your in there, Please my faithful student, please wake up. FFIGHT" Celestia shot a golden ball of energy at Empress. She only opened her mouth to swallow it. Empress smiled at Celestia and her faith in Sunset.

"Sunset is gone, She will never return!" Empresses wings spread as far as they could go.

"No your wrong, I know Sunset. When she loved something she would fight for it. TWILIGHT NEEDS HER, MORE THAN YOU!" Celestia said as her horn stopped glowing. "I will subdue for her return, I will not harm you and in turn hurt Sunset."

"Your foolish, Sunset has nothing to fight for, Twilight abandoned her when she needed her the most~!" Empress disappeared only to reappear beside Celestia. "Your crown is mine!"

"You don't understand. That portal is going to overload and kill us all anyways!" Celestiia yelled. "your magic essence has brought it to a breaking point."

"enough with your scare tactics Celestia." Empress went to bite Celestia on the neck when Luna flew in.

"Get your ugly face away from my sister!" Luna shot a blue beam of energy at Empress. The magical beam hit Empress smack dab in her side. She flew back into a wall. "We need twilight, Me and you cannot defeat her alone." Luna yelled as she shot a solid beam of energy at Empress, who responded by locking her magic up with Luna's. Celestia quickly combined her magic with Luna's by touching her horn to hers. Celestia shot a beam at Empress now as well. It was a three way lock up that was going nowhere. A magical stalemate.

"Your sister was right, You two cannot defeat me. Your only hope is gone~!" Empress began to raise two hooves, she was attemoting to do a sneak attack.

"You wrong, I'm right here!" Twilight landed between Luna and Celestia. Twilight quickly touched her horn to the other two alicorns horns. Twilight shot a beam from her horn and locked up with Empress in order to help defeat Empress. Twilights magic was enough to win the lock up. The force hit Empress and sent her back through the portal. As She went flying back it was noticeable that she was turning back to Sunset Shimmer.

"Sunset?" Celestia had noticed this. "Twilight go after her!" Celestia said as she collapsed to her knees.

"Are you going to be ok!?" Twilight yelled. Concern in her voice showed that she was unsure about leaving.

"Go,GO NOW!" Celestia groaned. Twilight slowly looked at the portal only to slowly walk in. She entered the portal, The other side showed the world here was still scorched and burnt. Twilight looked over to see Sunset was not far. She was in the feedle position up against the statue.

"Sunset Shimmer, Your b-back." Twilight quickly went up to her. The remaining part of empress were empresses eyes and wings. Sunset was half Empress half herself. She had no clothes on so she was shivering. Despite the world around them being incredibly hot.

"W-hat d-did I do?" Sunset uttered as she began to cry. "Why did I let this happen?" Sunset looked at Twilight and then to the sparking portal. "What's wrong with that thing?"

"Sunset, The portal is going to overload and explode, according to Celestia. There is nothing that can consume that amount of dark energy that will be released." Twilight sighs, as sunset looks at it.

"I have caused to many problems for that to happen." Sunset began to stand up, she slowly spread the demonic wings that were still on her back. she began to hum as she began to sing a song. "I'm sick I think I'm sick, Sometimes I think I get like this, I bite my tongue, I clench my fists. Resist at first and then reverse." Sunset flapped her wings once as she started to sing. Her hair beginning to flow like fire slightly.

"Sunset your to weak, what are you doing?!" Twilight yelled out as dust and rocks started to revolve around sunset.

"The night knows me by name. Its shadow trained to dull the pain. All the black begins to blur. Resist at first and then immerse." Sunsets skin started to turn red. "It tires me, it makes me sad. To think of all the nights I've had. Eyes shut tightly, I shut down. Won't be that much longer now. In the quiet, in the dark. All my ideals fall apart. When they come for me again. Resist with everything I am" Sunset floated up slightly as cyan ring began to form around her body.

"sunset stop!" Twilight yelled a she reached out for Sunset. She pulled her hand away quickly as the heat radiating off sunset was enough to burn from a distance.

"It tires me, it makes me sad. To think of all the nights I've had. Eyes shut tightly, I shut down. Won't be that much longer now!" sunset throws her hands out to embrace Empress. "I'm sick, I think I'm sick. Sometimes I think I get like this. I bite my tongue, I clench my fist. Resist at first and then reverse. Life's a war, you pick your fight. I think mine picks me first most nights. If I should wake before I die. Then promise me you'll never get this sick inside~" a large beam of cyan energy engulfed Sunset as she fully and violently turned to empress. Who then took over with singing. I wish I were good instead." Empress sang as she quickly entered the portal to Equestria. When she crossed over she continued to sing. The portal was now red hot and seconds from exploding. Twilight exited and tumbled behind Empress. "I'm sick, I think I'm sick. Sometimes I think I get like this. I bite my tongue, I clench my fists
Resist at first and then reverse. My adversary knows me well" Empress looks at Twilight and smiles "She's out for blood, too soon to tell. If I'll outsmart these lies of hell. And think my sick self back to health" Empress quickly grabbed the overloading portal and used her magic to blow a hole into the roof above her. She quickly opened her wings and flew up through the hole.

"Sunset nooooooo!" Twilight said as she tried to fly after her only to b heald back by Celestia.

"Can't undo a word I said. Years of struggle still ahead. All the trouble in my head" Empress closed her eyes and a tear fell "I wish I were good instead." the portal lit up and released a load of energy as it exploded. It lit up the sky like nothing else. In the end love was the victor.
