After dating for a while, Prince Solaris decides to go though the Proccess of the Conjux Ritus in order make Arceus his Consort.
After dating the goddess Arceus for quite some time, Princes Solaris of Equestria must go though a series of steps in order to make officially make the mother of all Pokemon his mate.
But instead of a normal wedding like Solaris expected, Arceus says that since he is marrying a deity, Solaris must go trough a 4 step Union conceived to wed Gods and mortals. An ancient Ritual called the "Conjux Ritus".
Step 1: An "Act of Acquaintance" Step 2: An "Act of Profference" Step 3: An "Act of Disclosure" And the final step: An "Act of Devotion"
Solaris stood in place as he looked over the land of Equestria, taking in all of its grace and beauty.
The Co-Ruler was in a very good mood, his subjects were happy, his personal student Dusk Shine was as doing some new levels of study, his brother Artemis had exploded in popularity since his return, and to top it off he was....actually very very nervous.
The 1,000 year old Alicorn could not recall the last time he had felt his heart beat this fast.
Throughout his long life he had faced many things that would make a normal pony sweat gallons, things ranging from: game-changing politics, Evil monsters and the dreaded giant stacks of paperwork.
But despite all that the things he had done which everyday ponies almost never do, he was about to do the one thing that every stallion does in his life.
"Solaris?" A heavenly female voice called out.
The alicorn turned his head to see the person he was waiting for.
The being that stood there him was in his opinion the most beautiful creature the world(and other worlds), her body was a near all white with grey covering specific parts of her, her "hooves" were pointed like stilts and if one looked into her blue eyes, you could see the universe, from beginning to end.
"Arceus, you're here!"
"Of course, I wouldn't miss this date for the world" The Pokémon Goddess said
The Prince smiled then motioned to the grass patch which hosted a picnic fit for kings.
"Then shall we begin?"
The two rulers enjoyed their time together as they used this date to reminiscences the many things that had happened ever since they started dating.
"Honestly if you had never come back after you first showed up in my room, I actually believed I would never see you again." Solaris said with a laugh.
"Aww I really left that much of an impression on you" Arceus said teasingly "Was I so beautiful that you had no words left"
"Oh I had words, they just wouldn't leave my mouth"
They both laughed before resuming their meal.
"Hey" Solaris began as he set down his drink "Remember when Queen Umbra came back to try make me her husband, then she went into a rage when she found out I was taken"
"Oh how could I forget" Arceus said as recent memories flooded back.
Several months ago
"Who is she!" a livid Umbra screeched.
Solaris flinched as the mare's voiced echoed in his ears.
"Umbra calm down, you are not helping your cause here" Solaris said.
Calm was the last thing on Umbra's mind, for so long she had tried to get that powerful, smart and handsome Prince to be her King, so that they may bear to the most powerful offspring in the world. Hell, she had to take over the Crystal Empire just to get his attention, even after being locked away for a millennia she still had her goals set on making that Prince her husband.
Now, after she had resurfaced along with the Empire, she knew that Solaris and his brother would come to finish what she started. Preparing, she made an ultimatum that if Solaris didn't marry her then she would trigger a pre-casted spell that would destroy the Crystal Heart and doom the Crystal Ponies.
But even after all that when Prince Perfect showed up, he broke that news that he was seeing someone.
"I will not ask you again Solaris, who and where is this lover that has taken you from me?!"
"First off all we were never a thing to begin with, secondly even if I told you, you would not be able to physically reach her"
"Oh is that so?" Umbra's mouth then turned into a smirk as her dark mind began working. "Or are you so protective of her that you would lie about where she lives"
"No I-"
"Then in that case! I shall tell you this, not only will I destroy the Crystal Heart if you don't tell me where she is, but I will also lay waste to the Crystal Empire and everypony in it."
Solaris then narrowed his eyes, but didn't seem unfazed by the threat. "Are you sure you want to do this Umbra, my special someone is not any normal pony...or even a pony for that matter"
"Oh please, whoever she is I will make her sorry for ever stealing you away from me, now do I have to pry the answer out of you, or will I have to take my fury out on all those innocent Crystal Ponies, because I doubt you would be able to stop me before I claim a few lives"
"That I have no doubt." Solaris in a still calm voice "So that's it, no compromise? No Negotiation?"
Umbra's eyes only narrowed in response.
"Okay, don't say I didn't warn you...Arceee!"
A few seconds passed...and nothing happened.
Umbra's confusion then turned into irritation, "What was that? A desperate cry for he-"
She didn't get to finish her sentence as a blinding golden light flashed behind her, along with a presence.
"Did someone call me?" said a voice that carried both softness and power.
Umbra found herself slowly turning around and looking at what was behind her.
The being in question was a little taller than Solaris, had a golden arch around her waist, and the power that radiated from her was scary.
"Who are you" Umbra said in nervous voice.
The llama like creature gave her a small yet deathly smile before answering. "My name is Arceus, I am what you mortals might refer to as Solaris's girlfriend"
"Mortal?"
"Oh yeah Umbra I forgot to mention" Solaris said in a proud voice. "Arcee in not only my girlfriend, she is a deity"
"WHAT!?"
"In fact she created an entire universe!"
Umbra was about to make another exclamation, but could not find the words to describe the fact.
"Solaris my love, is the mare bothering you" the tone of voice that came out of Arceus was soft, but to Umbra she might as well be shouting.
"Oh not really my dear, Queen Umbra here was just explaining to me how she was going to murder an entire city of ponies if I didn't tell her where you were"
"Oh really?" Arceus said as lowered her head to Umbra's level, "Well your majesty, I'm here, what do you want to tell me?"
Even in the cold snow the evil queen was sweating buckets. "Well....I....you see....."
Arceus tilted her head to the said as she waited for an answer.
"I just wanted to say congratulations on your relationship! You are very lucky you have a stallion as amazing as him, I would be so very jealous if I was crushing on him, which I totally am not."
Arceus paused before giving Umbra another small smile.
"Well thank you for your kind words Umbra, they are appreciated"
The couple both laughed at the memory.
"I somewhat feel bad for Umbra, unrequited love is one the most tragic"
"Oh I wouldn't worry about that, one of the guards who brings her food in her cell says that she has been giving him the bedroom eyes"
Arceus just smiled before sipping on her hot chocolate.
Solaris stared at her for a while before looking down and taking in a deep breath.
Alright Solaris, its either now or next time
"Arceus?"
"Yes?"
"I have something to ask you"
Her interest piqued Arceus her cup down. "Well, what is it?"
"Well, we have been dating for over year right?"
"Yes"
"And I would say we have a longstanding strong relationship right?"
Arceus then folded her legs and smiled a little. "I won't argue with you there"
"And you are just one of the greatest things to happen to me in my long long life, and words just can't describe how much I love you"
Arceus smiled even slyer "Awww, I love you too"
"And while I may not live as long as you, I have decided that I want to spend whatever life I have left with you"
Solaris horn glowed and a box flashed into existence.
"Arceus of Earth"
The box slowly began to open, along with Arceus's eyes beginning to beam.
"Will you be mine now and forever?"
Arceus could only stare in awe as she peered into a box, and beheld a Sapphire and Ruby encrusted necklace, similar to the one Solaris wore.
A deathly moment of silence passed before the maker of all Pokémon responded.
"Well it's about time! Keep a lady waiting"
Solaris blinked for a moment before his mind caught up with him.
"Wait what!? You knew I was gonna propose to you?"
"Well it was so very obvious, you insist we spend our entire date talking about thing in the past and never once mentioned anything for the future, and all because you wanted to make sure the future would be with me!"
Arceus then levitated the necklace and put it around her neck.
"But in all seriousness, of course I'll be yours silly"
If Solaris's heart wasn't racing enough, it went into overdrive when she leaned forward and kissed him, and it wasn't one of passion or aggression, but simply a soft sweet one that all lovers have been giving each other since the dawn of time.
They held that position for a few seconds before Arceus pulled away, leaving Solaris in a state of absolute happiness, as if nothing could ruin his moment.
"All you have to do now is perform the Conjux Ritual"
"Is everyone here?" Solaris said to the gathered group.
Right now assembled in the throne room was what Prince Solaris considered his closest friends.
His brother Artemis stood on his right while his pupil Dusk Shine and his 5 friends(the Elements of Harmony), Spike the Dragon and his other student Sunset Glare waited in anticipation.
"I believe that is everyone brother, although Princess Cadence won't be able to attend due to something coming up at the last second" Artemis responded.
"I see....well I guess she can come next time"
Spike then raised his hand.
"Yes Spike"
"So who exactly are we all meeting?"
"Yeah" Sunset Glare continued "In the letter you sent us, it said that we were going to meet a group of people in a week's time, but you never said who"
"...Well"
One week ago.
"The Conjux Ritual?" Solaris has never heard of such a thing.
"Yes, would you like me to explain it for you?" Arceus said with an innocent smile
"Yes, that would nice"
"Well Solaris, as you know I am a deity charged with protecting my world and watching over it as its guardian creator"
"That you are"
"However, because I am a heavenly being who controls a vast amount of power, I can't just marry anyone and call it a day"
"Marriages hardly ever are my dear"
"Indeed, but just like how every culture has their own form of unions, so do us divine begins. For us the process is unique and in a way helps solidify the trust and love between between us, I hope you understand"
"I understand, so what exactly do we do in this ritual."
"Well, it's basically four steps, four simple easy to comprehend trails. The first is the Act of Acquaintance, our families and closest friends must meet with each other and develop at least some level of mutual trust and respect, if were to be any tension between our family it must be resolved there."
"True, our marriage wouldn't be as blessed if it didn't have the approval of our loved ones."
"Second is the Act of Profference also known as the act of gift giving, you can give me anything as long as it's well intent"
"Alright"
"Third is the Act of Disclosure, the couple must confess to each other something deeply personal, either something that they would consider shameful or intensely personal, it is a declaration of weakness and therefore trust"
"...Oh, well that's gonna be a doozy"
"It probably will, and the fourth act and final act, Devotion, where the respondent(me) does something spectacular to demonstrate their love."
Solaris took a moment to memorize all that had been said.
"So that's it uh. Welp sounds like a fun challenge, I'll do it!"
Arceus smiled before giving her love a nuzzle of affection.
"Well you good luck dear, I'll be waiting"
"Well in order for me to explain that, I have to state the reason first. As Artemis knows, I am engaged to be married"
A silence went throughout the room before it was broken by Dusk Shine.
"YOU'RE WHAT!?"
"I am engaged, to be wed with my beloved fiance"
"....And when were you going to tell us this?"
"When it became relevant, which it just now did"
Dusk Shine would have deadpanned, but he respected his mentor to much to do that.
"But before that happens we both agreed that our families and friends should get to know each other first, because once we get married I feel like we will be seeing each other often, so it is logical that we get acquainted with each other."
The Mane six looked at each other before nodding.
"Well I think it's a great idea" Rarity said
"It'l be a meet and greet party!" Pinkie exclaimed
"Eh, I got nothing better to do" Sunset said
"Everyone good, okay then, the portal should be open any minute now"
"Yeah, wait what Protal?"
As if on cue, a bright light began to shine from the floor before them and faded to reveal a swirling hole in time and space, its destination, one could guess.
"Alright, who's first?"
The Legendary Pantheon, Hall of Origins
Giratina preferably wanted to be somewhere else.
As much as she loved her mother(to an extent), they didn't exactly have the best mom and daughter relationship. Even though they had rebonded somewhat ever since her banishment to the Reverse World was lifted, it wasn't strong enough that she would openly give her maker a hug.
Yet.
But seeing as how her mom was engaged to someone, she felt that she needed to meet this person so she can give her "Seal of Approval".
From what Arceus had told them, her fiance as well as his friends and family would be here soon.
Looking around, many Legendary and "Mythical" Pokemon(As so named by the humans) had shown up for this meet and greet, ranging from the Kanto Legendaries to the Unova Dragons, even Yveltal had torn herself away from her PS4 to be here, dragging her boyfriend Xerneas with her. The only ones who were not here was Groudon, Kyogre, as well as some others.
"Hello Tina, fancy seeing you here"
The Renegade Pokemon turned her head to see Xerneas himself approaching him, the Life Pokemon wearing his signature gentleman smile.
"Xerneas, I see you got the memo"
"Well I could not just ignore an order from the Original One. After all she's getting married and I must see just who won our maker's heart"
"Oh really, are you also gonna try and get his size so you can start designing his wedding suit?" Tina said with a sly smile.
"Hey! It will be a fabulous suit, one that our children will speak of for generations to come!"
Giratina gave a small smile as she shook her head, Xerneas hobby was designing clothing for the Legendary Pokemon(even though they don't normally wear clothes), he was also much more outgoing than his mother(the previous Xerneas) who was very shy for reasons unknown.
His girlfriend Yveltal was also a departure from her father who was known for his dark humor and demeanor while his daughter was fun loving and nice to everyone.
But those two made a cute couple nonetheless and were one of the few "friends" that would give Tina the time of day.
"Well when he gets here, I'm gonna see just how you pull it of"
Before Xerneas could respond, a very recognizable voice rang out.
"Heyo!"
Tina flinched before looking up to so see the head of the Djinn Pokemon himself popping out of one of his portals.
"Well well, if it isn't the Lord of the Rings himself, come to annoying me again?"
"Hey! I don't annoy people, I entertain!"
"Aha, sure"
"Yep, well anyway Lady Llama's boyfriend is here and I thought I'd just let you know"
"..Alright then, let's meet this guy"
Hoopa then enlarged his ring and brought them to the room where everyone was waiting in anticipation something began to step out of a portal created by Palkia.
Coming out first was a alablaster equine with wings and a unicorn horn, followed by a younger blue version of said Equine and finally several smaller multicolored horses.
Neither side spoke a word for a few seconds before Applejack spoke up.
"Well I'll be darned"
A few laughs came from a few of the legends before Arceus approached the group.
"Solaris! I'm so glad you're here"
"Why wouldn't I be" the two shared a small embrace before Arceus continued.
"Welcome, to the Hall of Origins"
Artemis could only look around and stare at the beings before him, many of them radiated large amounts of power and looked just was breathtaking.
From what his brother told him Arceus's family were considered Legends and Myths by the people of her world, and were treated as such.
But he had plenty of time to get to know him, and resumed listening to Arceus.
"So this is your family" Arceus said
"Is a way, you know my brother Artemis, while this young pony is my student Dusk Shine and his friends"
Dusk sweated a beat for a moment before stepping forward.
"H-hello, my name is Dusk Shine, and these are my friends: Spike, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Blitz, and Pinkie Pie"
"Hi"
"Hello"
"Um..hi"
"Howdy"
"Sup"
"Hiya!"
The Legends gave their own hellos and waves before Arceus spoke again.
"So as all of you know, me and Solaris as engaged to be married"
The couple both showed off their respective engagement items.
And as tradition demands we must go through the Conjux Ritus, which says that our love ones must meet and get acquainted with each other while forming some degree of friendship.
Both parties gave each other looks as to pick out who they wanted to talk to.
"And so, let's get started!"
After greetings were had, the legendaries decided to divide up into several groups while their Equine visitors would visit each one and mingle, someone also had set up a snack table with a drink fountain.
Dusk Shine being the curious one, decided to visit the group that had a blue cat creature, as well as two larger ones, a green pixie like creature, a mouse with a "V" one its head, and floating pink rock creature with a heart diamond on its head that was wearing a dress.
"Hello, am I interrupting anything?"
The green pixie floated up to him and gave him a smile.
"No not at all! Come sit"
Dusk then felt his body being lifted by some unknown force and was plopped down on a pillow, all the while the green Legends eyes where glowing blue.
"Interesting, they can use telekinesis" Dusk thought to himself.
"So, my name is Celebi, the blue guy is Mew, the lookalikes are Mewtwo X and Mewtwo Y, the one with the "V" ears is Victini and last but not least is Princess DIancie."
"Wow, those are some unusual names" Dusk said
A feminine voice sounded in his head.
"Says the pony whose name is Dusk Shine"
"Wait, who said that?"
"Sorry, I mostly talk through telepathy, I'm Mewtwo Y"
"......"
"The one on the left"
"Ah, okay"
"So Dusk," Diancie began "Tell us about yourself"
"Well, I am the Personal Pupil of Prince Solaris, I have an older sister name Gleaming Shield who is the Captain of the Guard. I like to read and do research on interesting things whenever I can"
"Ah, so you consider yourself a scientist?" Mew asked.
"Well..not officially, but I would like to be"
"Well let's just hope you don't turn out to be a mad scientist, the Mewtwo's have had a bad experience with those lot"
"Okay...wait why is that?"
"Ummm...it's actually a touchy subject so-"
"No"
Everyone paused as they all looked intently at Mewtwo X.
"The purpose of this day was to get to know each other, he might as well know who we are...and how we came to be"
"So, how fast can you guys fly?"
Rainbow Blitz looked at the assembled birds who had grouped together, they had introduced themselves as Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Lugia and Ho-Oh.
"Well," Ho-oh began "We were not exactly born for speed, just power"
"So if it was a race you were looking for, I think you would better ask Rayquaza over there"
Rainbow followed the sight of Lugia's eyes to see a large serpentine black dragon with markings on its body.
"Okay thanks bye!"
Blitz immediately flew over to where Rayquaza was, leaving to birds alone.
"Your welcome!"
"Oh don't feel too offended, that's just how Rainbow is, always looking for competition."
The five birds turns to see a yellow pony with wings and a pink mane and tail.
"Hi, my name is Fluttershy"
Lugia smiled at her, she didn't even need her name to know that this pony was a shy one.
"Perfect."
"Well Fluttershy, tell us about yourself"
"Oh glady, well first of all I really like animals"
"Aha, keep going..."
"HiI'mPinkiePiedoyoulikeparties!?"
It was only by slowing down time for a second that Dialga could understand what the pink one had said.
The same could not be said for Palkia.
"Um...what?"
"She said her name is Pinkie Pie and asked if you like parties"
"Oh...um well I guess"
"You guess? You mean you're not sure?"
"Well....whenever I have a party it's just on my birthday, and even then, only few show up. Those few being Dialga, and some fellow legends. But most of the time they aren't memorable"
"Aww, that's no way to spend your birthdays, they should be fun and happy, In fact!"
Seemingly out of nowhere Pinkie revealed what appeared to be a blue toy cannon.
"We can have a party right now"
The sibling dragons looked at each other before Palika responded.
"Sorry, Pinkie, but I prefer to keep my celebrations, calm and classy. No offence but I try to keep up an image of professionalism"
"Yes, you see Palkia has a short temper that she tries to keep in check"
"Hey, I do not have a short temper!"
Three days ago
"Okay seriously! What the actual-"
"Language" Dialga said as he entered his sisters room. "What seems to be the problem?"
"The problem!? Just look!"
Palkia stepped back to reveal a large computer screen, with what appeared to be graph that had images of him, Palkia, Giratina and Arceus.
"And..what am I looking at here."
"I made a twitter poll asking the humans which of us four are their favorite, and look at the results! 35% Arceus, 30% Tina 25% Dialga and me!? Sitting at the bottom with a low 15!"
"And, does this favoritism dictate how important you are?"
"It dictates how many humans would wear me on their shirts. *Sigh* I mean what am I going to do with all these!?"
Dialga turn his head to the left to see stacks of boxes from a human company called "CustomInk", he peered into an open one to see images of Palika on various shirts with the words "Best Legendary" on them.
Looking back up, he saw Palkia typing on the computer all the while muttering.
"To the colossal number of humans who worship Tina and Arceus, frankly GKYS"
*End flashback*
"Yeah, you never lose your temper"
"Exactly"
"So correct me if I'm wrong. You both were cloned from the genes of Mew here, by two evil organizations to be the most powerful Pokemon?"
"Correct, I was created by scientist for the criminal group Team Rocket, and Mewtwo Y was made by a secret group who we have yet to identify"
"Indeed, except Mewtwo Y was cloned from my DNA while Mewtwo X was cloned from another Mew"
"Ah, so their are more of you, I was under the impression that their you where all one of a kind"
"Only in some cases, I am the Prime of my species as is Celebi, Diancie and Victini here"
"Prime, what is that?"
"You see Sunset, Legends like me, Zekrom, Giratina, Palkia, Dialga are the only members of our kind. We can reproduce by mating with other compatible Pokemon or other Legendaries, but for the majority only one of use exist at a time. But Legendary Pokemon that have breeding populations like Darkrai, Lugia, Shaymin and the Elemental Birds have a Prime to represent and overall guide their respective species. They are not rulers, but chosen leaders who embody the overall best traits of their kind."
"Ah so the Legendary Pokemon that are here are the Primes of their races while the others are about doing their own thing."
"Yes, for example Lugia over there mated with a Flygon and had a son, while Cobalion fell in love with Virizion and had two children(a Cobalion and Virizion respectively) who will eventually take their parents title as the Prime of their kind if Arceus willing. I am a Reshiram who could have a child, but I have yet to find a mate who catches my eye"
"I see" Sunset then brought up a notepad and pencil, "Tell me more"
Artemis looked up at the large draconic being before him.
"So, I hear your name is Tina"
"....Only my friends call me that"
"Oh, well can I be you friend?"
"Really, you just walk up to someone and ask to be their friend? First of all what qualifies you to even be acquainted with me?"
"Well after talking to a few of the other legends, they told me that we can relate to each other"
"Oh did they." Not to self, root out rats "I highly doubt you can start comparing yourself to me, seeing as how you just met me"
"You're right, I have just met you. But it doesn't take knowing someone to see when they have a certain set of eyes that tell something"
At this, Giratina lowered her head to eye level with Artemis.
"Oh, and just what do my eyes betray?"
"....Regret"
Giratina was taken back at this.
"I can tell you are someone who made a mistake and paid a high price for it, you were put away and forgotten by the world while the only thing you had left was your anger. And after coming back you felt like an outcast for a while"
The fact that this pony had seen through her facade was very impressive, which is why it was hard for Tina to make direct eye contact with him now.
"W-well, even so you still haven't told me why you think we are relatable"
"Well let's just say I am also someone who lashed out at the world, and was isolated for it"
Tina then felt something on her leg, and looked down to see Artemis had put one of his hooves on it.
"So, I'll tell my story if you tell yours"
"Well I'll be, you all seem like some mighty nice folks"
"Agreed Applejack, I must say Xerneas I am just inspired by your majestic looks"
"Well I must say miss Rarity, I find your fashion idea's to be quite out there, must be the reason why you are so successful"
"Why thank you darling, next time we meet we both might as well exchange concepts"
"So Applejack and Rarity," Yveltal began "Do you like video games?"
"Video games?....oh right I have seen Sweetie Belle play one of those little handheld devices, but to answer your question no I'm afraid I do not"
"Oh...that's a shame"
"Yeah you see Yveltal here loves video games, whenever she is not flying around she's just sitting in her room playing her consoles"
"Hey! Everyone has a hobby"
"In fact, wanna know what her gamer name is"
"Oh no don't you dare!"
"Bacon Bird 717"
Applejacks eyes went wide before getting a closer look the the Destruction Pokemon, indeed her color scheme of primary white and secondary red made her look like a "Y" shaped slice of bacon.
And promptly fell to the floor laughing.
"You said you'd never tell anyone!"
"I made no such promise" Xerneas said with an innocent smile.
While everyone else conversed with all the other legends, Spike had sat down with a group that comprised Latios, Latias, Cresselia, Darkrai and Keldeo.
“So, what exactly is a Legendary Pokemon” Spike asked.
“Well Spike,” Latias said. “Legendary Pokemon are powerful Pokemon species charged with maintaining balance in the world. They also represent certain forces of the Earth, for example Cresselia and Darkrai represent the Full Moon and New Moon phases, plus they also symbolize Dreams and Nightmares respectively.”
“Wait” Spike looked towards the dark ghost like being with ghastly white hair. “She represents nightmares”
“Indeed, but my Nightmare powers are more a form of defense then it is an attack. My ability causes those who fall asleep in my vicinity to have bad dreams”
“Oh, okay so what do you represent Latias?”
“Oh I don’t really represent anything, but me and my brother charged as the Guardians of the Hoenn Region”
“Yeah, I may not symbolize some great thing like the Sun and Moon, but I am the fourth member of the Swords of Justice, who travel the Unova region protecting Pokemon”
“Wow, that sounds amazing! You must get it easy.”
“Actually no, in fact my test to become a Sword of Justice was a challenge all in itself. Wanna hear about it?”
"Sure"
“And after I helped my new trainer Platinum defeat the Team Galactic Boss Cyrus, I was welcomed back as a hero. Plus I got to rekindle some of the bond I had with Palkia and Dialga”
As Giratina finished her story Artemis, now had nothing but pity and compassion for the Renegade Pokemon
“I see, that was an interesting story. I can’t say my tale of being sealed in the my Moon for 1,000 years is as deep as that”
“Well considering I was banished for 16,000 years, I’m not gonna argue there.”
“Yeah….wait, you were banished 16,000 years!?”

“Almost as old as the very Earth, however I’m not implying that I’m immortal”
“Oh, you're not?”
“Nope, none of us are, not a single thing on this planet can live forever, not even mother”
“But, I thought your mom was a god”
“Not...in the literal sense. Despite the fact that she made this world and shaped this universe, she has told us multiple times that she is not a God but a deity”
“...Is there a difference between the two?”
“In fact their is, God is someone who is infallible, and can make no mistakes. God is omnipotent and omnipresent and every other omni you can think of. A Deity is a divine being who holds great power over something and is charged with overseeing a world or a people”
“I...think I can understand it. But if that is true does that mean there is not a God in this universe?”
“....If there is, then we should all fear him”
Arceus and Solaris were very happy as they looked around and saw both their families interacting with other and being friendly with each other.
“Look at them” Solaris said. “They seem to be getting along”
“Yes, it looks like the first act is going along well”
“Heh, I credit this to you being a good mother”
“The best mother in the universe”
“Hello Lady Arceus?”
The llama looked down to see Dusk Shine looking up at her.
“I must say you have an interesting family”
“Why thank you Dusk Shine, your words do me a kindness”
“Well any person who can win the heart of Prince Solaris is a friend in my book. You think we can come back here often?”
“Hmmm, well after me and Solaris get married I'll see what I can do”
“So tell me Palkia and Dialga, what can you do?” Sunset asked
“Well, me and my sister can control time and space respectively. I can travel through as well as speed up and slow down time. While my sister here can travel to and create other dimensions and realities”
“Yes, although I tend to stay away from universes where other versions of me exist, it may cause some trouble”
“Ah, so the theory about quantum realities is true? Realities where other doppelgangers of us live?”
“Yes. In fact let me tell you something, one day I found myself looking at another version of your Equus where a male incarnation of mom, an Arceus who identifies himself with male pronouns, had moved all of the Pokemon of his Earth as well as the good humans there for the sole purpose of escaping the evil of humanity that that tainted his world, he claims it was a fresh start”
“Wait, you're kidding me”
“Nope, apparently some twisted logic told him to move his people to an already inhabited world and didn’t even give that version of Equus so much as a warning. And just to prove a point he turned all the humans who he brought with him into Pokemon just so humanity's “evil ways” would never repeat themselves.”
“But...evil is everywhere, it's not just something that is tied to a single species, nor a single world or universe. What is that guy thinking?”
“I don’t know, I think that he would rather just deal with the flaws and falings of the Pokemon race rather than mankinds. Plus he also has a big ego which is not helping his case, what an idiot”
Meanwhile, in what the Transtechs call Universe ANW 114.5 Zeta
Arceus dropped the tea cup that he was holding, which shattered on the ground.
“Daddy, Whats wrong?”
“I’m….not qoute sure Mew, I feel as though someone is insulting my recent decisions”
After hours of talking and mingling, the day began to draw to a close, and Solaris decided that it was a good time to leave.
“Well, I trust everyone made some new friends today?” Arceus said
Everyone gave nods and voices of approval and agreement.
“I give them my seal of approval, I don’t see any problems with them” Xerneas said
“I have learned so much about this world, I just wish I could learn more” Dusk Shine said
Well, I can’t say I don’t like them, they’re okay in my books” said Giratina
“Yeah, maybe next time we can have a real party!”
After everyone was done giving their comments, Arceus then opened a portal which lead back to Canterlot Castle.
“We shall see each other again soon, take care!”
And with that the ponies went back through the rift while Solaris stayed behind for a few second longer.
“One down, three to go”
“Yep, this is just the first step”
The two gave each other a loving nuzzle before Solaris went through the portal just as it closed behind him.
Act of Profference A.K.A. What do you give an all powerful being
Solaris paced back and forth in his room as his mind raced, knowing that this very decision would decide the course of his life.
"What am I gonna get her?"
The 1,000 year old alicorn wondered what to do. Artemis who was watching him just sat there as he amused himself.
"It doesn't really matter what you really get her. As long as it's from the heart."
"Artemis! This isn't just some gift giving exchange. It is the second step in the Conjux Ritus. If my gift if not up to standards with a deity, then the legitimacy of the ritual will be called into question."
The Lunar Prince raised a brow at this. "What exactly makes you think that the prestige of your gift will affect the chances of your marriage anyway?"
Solaris deadpanned at his brother. "Artemis, since the beginning of time every ritual that has ever been made was conceived to appease someone or something. If a ritual made specifically for marrying divine beings, then someone must be watching over the whole thing."
"...Well alright, let's just assume that some higher entity is watching over this whole thing, crossing and checking marks, what would you get a divine being?"
"That's the thing! I don't know."
Solaris would have gone off further, but a familiar laughter interrupted his train of thought.
"Oh Solaris, you're just so amusing to watching these days."
Solaris let a out a sigh as he realized who also was in the room.
"Eris, glad I amuse you."
"Aw thanks, you really are a kindly soul." The spirit of Chaos as she manifested herself floating on a park bench.
"But honestly Solaris, I may have only known you personally for a few years of your 1,000 year existence, but even I am finding it ironic that the alicorn that beat me, his brother and ruled Equestria for a millennia is having trouble finding a gift for his girlfriend"
Solaris stared at her, but then a light went off in his head. "Well then Eris, since you seem to think so highly of yourself, since you think to know me so well, what do you think I should get her?"
The solar alicorn knew that the Lady of Chaos would never let her pride be chipped at, and if she wished to defend it, she would respond.
Eris frowned for a bit before coming up with a retort.
"Sorry sunbutt, but I got nothing."
Solaris was a little taken back. "What, really?"
"Hey, I may be older than the two of you combined but no one ever gave me anything out of affection or love. The only thing people gave me was either looks of contempt or hissing."
"...Well that doesn't come as a surprise I guess."
"But seriously, just give her something that she will cherish the rest of life, that's all I can say."
The elder prince blinked at the words that came from the draconequus mouth. "Heh, that's got to be the most sincere thing to come out of you."
"Well I can't exactly be reformed if I don't look the part every now and then."
Eris then poofed somewhere else, but her disembodied voice was still heard.
"Good luck Solaris, I mean it."
Hall of Origins
Arceus sat on her house sized pillow as she pondered her infinite memories.
Despite being older than the planet itself, and a divine Llama creature that had the power to do almost anything, she was somehow having trouble finding a gift for Solaris.
"I really should have developed some better social skills. Guess I shouldn't have overslept for a millennia.
Normally one would expect an omnipotent being to be able to give their love anything they want and just call it a day, but in the case of Arceus she wanted to give Solaris something that would expect from someone like her.
"This should be easy. Why isn't it?"
A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.
"Come in."
The door opened and a white and red incarnation of death peaked through.
"Hey Arcee, you free?"
"Umm, I guess so."
"Great!" The bird flew in and sat down on another house sized pillow that manifested next to Arceus.
"I'm curious Yveltal, I expected you to be playing your video games with Giratina."
"I did, but she had to do something with her trainer."
"Oh." this didn't surprise Arceus. Some if not most of the Prime Legendaries had a trainer that they were bonded to.
"So, whatcha doing?"
Arceus sighed, “Thinking.”
"About what?"
"Well, as stated by the traditions of the Conjux Ritus, the second act demands that we exchange gifts that symbolize our union."
"Ahhh, I see."
"....I don't know why this is so difficult."
"Love hardly ever isn't. I mean I am in love with a deer who embodies the polar opposite of my role."
"True."
"...Alright, but enough about me, let's talk about what you're gonna get for Solaris."
Arceus crossed her arms and stared.
"Well, let us talk."
Solaris looked out at the night sky as Artemis's Moon hung overhead.
"It has to be something that can last, not some jewelry cause that's to cliché. Plus it has to remind her of me, but then again it's gonna remind her of me anyway."
"Brother! I thought I might find you here."
Solaris turned to see Artemis walk up beside him.
"Still thinking about that gift?"
"Yeah, what about you?"
"I just got done giving my latest Night Guard recruits my Lunar seal of approval"
"...Lunar seal of approval?"
"Yeah, I came up with this thing where I personally brand a guard's armor with my cutie mark, this shows that they are loyal to me and will represent me wherever they go in defending Equestria."
"Ah, and where did you get that idea?"
"Remember 1,000 years ago when we would give the most esteemed and powerful unicorns a cutie mark brand on their chest as a way of letting them have access to a sliver of our power? We did it because we trusted them enough to share some of our power and use it as a force for good."
"Ah yes I remember now, we only gave those brands to those we considered to closest of friends..."
"Indeed, thought it's a shame we don't do that anymore, although it surprises me you didn't brand Dusk Shine. If anypony is worthy it's him."
"Oh don't worry brother," Solaris said with a grin on his face. "I believe I may know how to bring that tradition into the modern era."
"The Jewel of life?"
"Hmmm, while I trust him with my life or life force in this case, I really can't be separated from five of my plates for very long."
"Okay, how about a set of fake plates?"
"Besides that fact that I'd be giving him the equivalent of fake jewlery those cheap knock offs only last for so long."
"Yeah, I wonder whoever made those in the first place clearly did not realize the elemental plates are not rectangles."
"Its was probably some human trying to play maker."
"Most likely, oh I know what about the Azure Flute? That way he could call you anytime he wants."
"Good idea, except it only works if you're at Spear Pillar."
"...Right....well, that's all I got. Ya sure you can't will into existence something that would qualify?"
Before Arceus could respond, Yveltal's body began to glow.
"Oh it's Serena! She must be in trouble!"
"Ah, so you finally made a Bond Seal with her then?" Arceus knew of this. Long ago before the invention of Pokeballs, Bond Seals where a mark on a human's hand that appears whenever a legendary Pokémon deems them worthy to be their trainer. Using a Bond Seal one could call upon their legendary Pokémon to their aid no matter where they were in the world.
"Yeah sorry about this Arcee," Yveltal said with her eyes closed. "Serena is dealing with one of Team Rocket's combiner robots and she needs backup. See ya later."
And with that Yveltal disappeared in a flash of light, leaving Arceus alone with her thoughts.
And yet the creator of the Pokémon found herself with a light going off in her head.
Peak of Canterlot
It was Arceus's idea that the place where they were engaged would also be the place where they would exchange gifts.
As Solaris stood there waiting, for the first time he wasn't unsure about this whole thing. He knew that the gift he had would be more than enough to satisfy the divine tradition.
A flash of light appeared and the creator of the Pokémon stood before her fiancée.
"Hey."
"Hey."
..............
"This seems way more casual than it should be."
"Heh, that's the understatement of the week."
A small chuckle was shared between the two.
"Should the lady go first?"
"Oh no, you go. I want to see yours first."
"Okay then."
The alicorn took a deep breath before composing himself.
"Before I do this, just how does you body work?"
"How does it work?"
"I mean, can it be affected by magic or are you immune to mana?"
"Well, no I can be affected by magic although I can build defenses if needed."
"Okay, then this will work."
Solaris held up a small box in his hoof.
"What I am about to do is not something I have done in centuries."
The box opened, and inside was a glowing brand that resembled Solaris's cutie mark.
"I use to give these brands to my personal students when they gained my trust to the point that I would gift then with some of my solar power."
The brand floated out and levitated in the air.
"It may not be much since you could probably create suns on your own, but with this brand on you we will both be connected on a spiritual level. I will be able sense you even across worlds."
Arceus was speechless as brand floated over to her and rested on her own hoof.
"But on top of all than, this brand is special, I infused this with a special aspect of my magic that allows you to sense when I am in danger."
Arceus looked up from the brand and into Solaris's eyes.
"Arcee, in a way, I am trusting you with my life and that you will always be there for me."
The Alpha Pokémon took all this in, before making a warm smile.
"Solaris..it's wonderful! Truly a well thought out and meaningful gift, I accept it."
Solaris beamed at this. "That's great! I'm so glad you like it."
The alicorn walked up to the Alpha mon and put one of his hooves on hers.
"Here, let me put it on."
Arceus nodded as Solaris grabbed the brand with his magic, and slowly rested it against her chest. The glowing 2D sun slowly began to sink in, glowing brighter as it faded away into her chest.
"I will cherish it forever."
Arceus then held up her own hoof.
"Now let me give you my present."
As she finished her sentence, a glowing circle manifested in her hoof.
Solaris took a good look at what she was holding. The circle had a number of unknown symbols rotating inside it but in the center was a glow arch that looked exactly like the one that surrounded Arceus's waist.
"This is a Bond Seal. It was conceived as a way to brings humans and legendary Pokémon closer together. When a legendary has chosen a trainer who is worthy to command its power, they will mark them with a seal that connects them on a spiritual and mental level. With this seal, a trainer will be able to summon its Legendary Pokémon wherever they are in the world as well as have access to other powers."
Solaris somewhat stunned, not because of what this seal could do, but because it sounded oddly similar to what he had just given Arceus.
"Wow, I guess we both got the idea of stamping each other huh?"
"Well, it is said that couples eventually start to resemble each other."
"True, but in any case, I accept. Put it here."
Solaris took off his neck garment as Arceus pressed the seal against it, glowing brightly before it faded from view.
When all was said and done, the two beings now had each other's marks on them, claiming each other as their own for the rest of their lives.
"Well, that was easier then I expected."
"Same here."
"Alright, so the next step is disclose right?"
"Yes, it is a sign of humility and means that we would tell each other anything."
Arceus sat on a cloud overlooking Lumiose City. The light that emanated from the Prism Tower gave it a lively appearance.
It was decided that the place where the next act should take place was in her world seeing as the last act was done on Solaris’s universe. Not to mention that the atmosphere of Lumiose would help things go along considering how this act in particular was a touchy one.
Arceus off all beings knew that everyone makes mistakes, some more than others, and some that affect others. As one who has lived so long, she had made her fair share of missteps and poor decisions, and Solaris knew this too.
Nevertheless, mistakes help people in a way that they learn something. Those who make the wrong choice have the better understanding and experience than those who didn't.
To not do something can be a simple task, but only those who sinned know just how bad the consequences are.
"Life is a fickle thing, isn't it?" she asked out loud.
"It sure is" a voice responded.
The Pokemon turned to see Solaris standing behind her, a portal just closing behind him.
"But that's what makes it so interesting."
The divine Llama smiled at her fiance, "Is it stereotypical to assume you rehearsed your 'confession'?"
Solaris tilted his head to the side, "Well since I am confessing to 'God', I felt the need to rehearse a little"
Arceus chuckled at his joke.
"Well, let's get started"
Some time earlier, Solaris’s room
"I assumed you rehearsed your confession, brother?"
Solaris adjusted his crown in the mirror before answering Artemis.
"It's not really a confession. It's more of a disclosure of our mistakes or sins."
"Is that not a confession then?"
"Details, details. Either way, the purpose of this act is to tell each other something that would otherwise put us in a lesser light, it is a sign of humility and showing that we are not-"
"Perfect."
"....Yes."
"...Mind telling me what 'mistake' you are going to tell her?"
Solaris looked closer at the look on Artemis's face, a thought crossing his mind as to what he was implying.
"Why?"
"Cause," The Lunar alicorn's frown immediately turned into a devious smile. "It would be nice to know the my high and mighty brother is not perfect."
Solaris gave his brother a look before giving a smile of his own.
"I never said I was."
"Would you like to go first?" Arceus asked.
"...Well I don't see why not"
Solaris closed his eyes and took a deep breath, reminiscing on the events that he was about to tell.
"When you live for 1,200 years you see a lot of places, meet a lot of people and do numerous things. Much more than the average person."
Solaris's horn glowed as something poofed into existence.
"I know I have."
Arceus looked in curiosity as Solaris twirled in his a magic grip: a gold ring.
Etched inside said ring was the name.
"Whose ring does that belong to?" Arceus asked, although she could guess what he was about to say.
"Her name was Aria, and this was the engagment ring I was going to give her."
"Oh, I see"
"After I banished my brother, another mistake I regret, I was terribly lonely. I cared about nothing else and could only feel anger at my ungrateful subjects who shunned my brother in favor of 'worshipping' me. Out of spite I sought out the ones who were the most vocal against Artemis before his exile and punished them in a way I thought was appropriate.
Solaris's face turned into one of self disgust as he recounted just what he had done.
"Since I felt like I lost everything, I would respond in kind. I took away their land and their belongings, making them as poor as the urchins who begged in the streets"
Arceus's face began to reflect her emotions, empathy.
"And not just the nobles, but also the middle class. I would send a message that I am not just some benevolent ruler that they wanted, I could be just as cruel and dark as they had made out my brother to be. But even after that my rage still had not subsided, I still could not forgive the world."
Solaris pulled the ring closer to him.
"Then she came along."
The alicorn then remembered a tune that had been long forgotten by the world.
"During one of my day courts a mare came in, she requested that she play a song for me, out of curiosity or boredom I let her do it...and the voice that came out of her was absolutely beautiful. For the first time in a long time I felt at peace, the soothing song that she played made me happy, I wished it would never stop."
"Ah, I guessed you did something about that?"
"Indeed, I made her my Royal Orchestrator, and one of her primary duties was to sing for me whenever I required, the fact that she was a pretty mare was an added bonus."
Solaris smiled as he began to recount the good times.
"From there we only became closer, a few fleeting glances at times, some innocuous flirting, and eventually our lips met at one night. After that we started seeing each other, from dates to dinners our relationship only blossomed from there, we were in love, a love that filled the gap that had been left by my brother's banishment. The future looked bright for both of us."
Arceus could only coon at the cute love story that Solaris relayed, but soon remembered why they were here.
"...However something happened."
"What?"
"War. For the longest time, the Zebra Empire had viewed our Kingdom with envy and greed, and the King wanted the our land and our abundance, that fact that an Alicorn protected Equestria did not dissuade him."
Solaris closed his eyes as he remembered the screams of his subjects dying at the hands of soldiers.
"They burned down villages and killed civilians, King Kof said that he would erase Equestria from the history books, that only the Zebra rule and ideology would remain. As ruler of Equestria it was my duty to lead my people, but before I could Aria made me promise her something."
"What was it?"
"That when I fight them, that I would not become them."
"...Did you keep your promise?"
"...When I got to the Zebra capital, because they would not stop attacking us unless I took the battle to them, I blazed my way to the palace of King Kof, leaving a pile of burning bodies in my wake. When I confronted Kof in his Throne room he begged me for mercy, he looked so pitiful and pathetic. Do you know what I did?"
Arceus felt a little hesitant to answer, but asked anyway.
"I turned his entire body inside out."
The Pokemon nearly gasped.
"After what he had done, the things he said and the things he had done to my Kingdom and my subjects, I felt no mercy for that monster, and felt that he should die in the most painful way possible, I also burned down his palace to add salt to the wound. After I got home, I was still covered in the blood and soot of my enemies, I cleaned myself quickly...but Aria must have heard something about what happened, because she shrank in fear when I saw her again. She demanded to know exactly what I did. The look on her face was a pleading one, I felt that if I gave her an answer that she did not like, she would never look at me the same way again, and because I didn't want to lose her...I lied."
A tear fell down Solaris's face.
“A few days later I found a letter in my room, it was from her. S-she," Solaris's voice began to break. "She wrote down that she knew how I killed King Kof, she said that she would have forgiven me for breaking my promise to her, but she could not forgive the fact that I lied to her, because it showed that I did not not trust her enough to tell her the truth."
More tears fell came.
"I looked for her for decades, but I never saw her again."
Solaris buried his face in the cloud.
"I messed up Arcee, I was too afraid to lose someone I loved again. I now I have a second chance with you, and I can't lose you too."
Solaris perked up as he felt something wrap around him, opening his eyes he saw Arceus hugging him.
"You won't lose me, I promise that."
"But what if I make a mistake, what if I mess up with you like I did with Aria?"
"You won't mess up, you are not who you were back then. And even if you do, I will forgive you."
"How many times?"
"As many as it takes, and so long as you forgive others."
Solaris wiped the tears off his face, and gave a genuine smile.
"Now I believe you have humbled yourself enough, let me tell you of my faults."
Solaris composed himself, and listened as Arceus began to tell her story.
"The main reason why I chose not to identify myself as a god, and to not receive the gift of immortality, is because I do not want nor need to rule or be worshiped. Yes I created this planet and the Pokemon who live in it, but when the humans came along, I decided that I would trust them to rule themselves and to prosper on their own, instead I would be a protector and occasionally an advisor. One of the first regions they settled on was one made in my image, a land called Ransei."
An image appeared before them, it displayed a landmass that indeed looked like the Alpha Pokemon.
"The region was divided up into 18 kingdoms, one for each of the elemental types. And one day I sought to test humanity to see if it was ready for glory, so I began a legend that whoever untied the 18 kingdoms by way of conquest, I would bring about my return to the world and that the hero would bring forth a golden age for mankind."
"Heh, I suppose someone fulfilled the legend?"
"Yes, his name was Hentai, and he was a indeed the hero man deserved."
The image of Ransei changed to include many lights, each representing the light of mankind's cities.
"In addition to discoveries of new magic and new technology, a population boom began that lasted for decades, which only helped to expand Ransei's growing empire. This would have spread around the world, had something not been found."
"What did they find?"
A bright blue light appeared in the center of the image of Ransei.
"At the time, they were called breaches, doors to other worlds. Palkia later identified them as simply portals to another universe, and even ones far removed from our multiverse. At the time Hentai's son Genji was the new ruler of Ransei, and he saw this as a way to spread mankind's fortunes to other worlds, eventually he began to send colonists to settle on these other worlds."
The image of Ransei zoomed out to show Earth, several lines spread out from it and went to other Earth like planets that resided in other universal streams.
"For a while the colonization effort was successful, and mankind thrived in these new worlds, however.."
The image zoomed into Ransei again, but this time a red light came the mountainous region in the middle of its peninsula.
"As with any sapient species who can think for themselves, humans will have their own selfish desires"
The image zoomed in again to show a man in armor sitting on a dragon like throne.
"I didn't say this before, but during Hentai's quest to fulfill the legend, he was opposed by a man named Nobunaga, the ruler of the dragon kingdom of Dragnor. But eventually he saw the error of his ways when he was defeated in battle, to be fair though the reasons he tried to stop the legend were sympathetic, and was a good man at heart, his son however was a different story."
The imaged changed to show a growing darkness from within one of the interdimensional colonies of Ransei.
"His son Riyu, only cared about the expansion and growth of mankind's power, not caring if a world was inhabited or not. He only saw the colonization efforts as a way to spread his ideology of man being a superior race. So he secretly sent agents to some of the colonies to slowly but subtlety influence its people and leaders to create weapons of war and artifacts of power."
The darkness began to fester on the other colonies, becoming more apparent.
"But, evil could not hide forever, some caught onto the conspiracy that Riyu was perpetrating and reported it to Genji who confronted the ruler of Dragnor. But Riyu was prepared for this, as he had secretly gained the alliance of the other rulers who shared his ideals, they all broke away from the Alliance of Kingdoms in a war of secession."
Ransei's image now was dotted with miniature explosions and faint cries of war.
"The civil war of Ransei lasted for 4 years, but was one of the most bloody in the history of Earth. The repercussions themselves where massive, several kingdoms ceased to exist by the end of the conflict, royal bloodlines were ended, science and discoveries were lost to history, and finally the breaches that lead to the colony worlds were forever closed due to the instability of time and space caused by the siege of Illusio."
The smoke then cleared to show Ransei charred and burned, only a few obvious settlements being visible.
"The end of the war effectively marked the end of man's golden age and with the many recourses of the region depleted, the survivors of the war left to settle in the other regions of the world in order to start over. Ransei was a shadow of its former self."
As Arceus took a moment to reflect on the ancient memories she had just relayed to her love, Solaris was taking to time to process what he just heard. Not many countries back home had experienced a golden age, but none ended the way he had just seen. To think that all that potential was wasted away because of the actions of one man.
"What is the state of Ransei today?"
Arceus gave a small smile as the image of the region changed one last to time to show Ransei in a better state.
"Of the total population of people living in the region today, it is only a twelfth of what its peak was, with five settlements(two of which are cities) and the main method of transportation being railroad, it is the least advanced region in a world where space travel is a thing."
"I see, so...what exactly was the mistake you made?"
"...My mistake, I believed in trying to give man something they were not ready to have. I tried to advance them faster than they needed to be. In the end I had inadvertently set them back centuries when I intended to advance them by millennia, and because of my mistakes, many lives were taken, and many more lost to the cosmos"
"So you blame yourself for what happened, even though it was a human who ruined everything?"
"I blame myself because that one interference in the lives of man nearly destroy them, especially when I told myself I would leave their fate to by decided by them. That is why ever since I have not appeared to them in any way shape or form, always watching over them, protecting them from threats they will never know."
Arceus let out a little chuckle.
"Its funny you know. In recent years there have been more world threatening events caused by humans then there were at the time of Ransei, any logical deity would have just stepped in and ruled their people with an iron fist."
Arceus look Solaris in his eyes.
"But not me, some gods may not trust or like humans, and some may even forsake them out of hate, but I still have faith in them, they are destined for great things, that I will personally see to."
This time, is was Arceus who found herself the victim of a warm hug.
"I guess, you're at peace with it then? Your mistake?"
"..Yes, I made peace with it and myself a long time ago."
Solaris gazed out at the three suns that stood at the center of this star system. Two of which were a pair, and the smaller third red dwarf star floating nearby.
According to Arceus, this solar system was the closest to the one which Earth resided in, being visible in the planets night sky. But what made this place special was the fact that it would be where the fourth and final act could take place.
The fourth act, the act of devotion was actually the exchanging of vows one would normally say in a during the actual wedding. While they would be able to say it later, this way it would further cement the fact that there was no backing out once it was said and done. As for their location, Arceus explained that it was to be done on neutral ground so that no fiance may have some technical advantage over the other if they did it in their own home. While not exactly necessary, it was encouraged.
Plus, Solaris liked the idea of traveling to whole new worlds.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Arceus said as she walked next to him.
"Yes, although not as beautiful as you."
"Aww, That's sweet of you. Although be both know it is a given."
"Then it only shows that you know me so well."
"Indeed, so is your brother and your student on their way?"
"Of course, should be here any moment now."
Another thing about the fourth act is that they required at least two witnesses per party, it could be one family member and one friend, or two friends or two family members.
"Who did you bring?"
"My eldest daughter Giratina, as well as her Trainer."
As if on cue, a portal opened nearby and out stepped a young woman in pink winter clothing. Her hair was dark blue and she carried both a professional and regal atmosphere with her. Coming out behind her was a large dragon with six legs and shadowy wings.
"So this is Proxima Centauri b? Thought it would be colder," the girl said.
"Mother arranged for appropriate life support and terraformed the planet so it that makes it look nice enough," Giratina said
"True," the landscape so far looked like an endless grassy plane, with the exception of a stone structure the was a few feet away.
"Now then, shall be see to this event Tina?" the girl said teasingly.
The Renegade Pokemon suppressed a eye roll. While only her friends called her by her nickname, for her trainer to call her that felt like she it made her less intimidating.
Fortunately for her, her trainer also had a nickname only her friends called her.
"This way, Platina."
Now it was the girls turn to make a face.
Meanwhile.
Prince Artemis and Dusk Shine entered the stone structure as both ponies took in the sight and presence of being on another world.
"This is the second planet I have been to in a month," Dusk Shine said.
"Yes, although this would be the third celestial body I have been to in my lifetime," Artemis pointed out.
The two soon entered a room where they found Solaris and Arceus. As well as two other individuals, one of which Dusk and Artemis recognized as Giratina.
"Giratina, Good to see you again."
The dragon notice who entered the room and gave a soft smile.
"Ah Artemis, thought I would see you here."
Dusk however was currently observing the small biped creature that Giratina was with.
"Who is your friend there?"
The girl seemed unfazed by that fact she was looking at three talking horses. Mainly because Giratina told her who they were meeting, plus she had already met Keldeo before.
"My name is Platinum Dawn Berlitz, heir to the house of Berlitz. But you may call me Platinum, pleased to meet you."
It did not go unnoticed that she was acting very similar to a noble, but did not dissuade his interest in her as she did not seem to come off as snobbish.
"My name is Dusk Andromeda Shine, but you may call me Dusk Shine or just Dusk."
"...Andromeda?"
"Yes, my middle name is Andromeda. Does that mean something to you?"
"No, it's just we have a small neighboring galaxy here called Andromeda."
"Really? Thats cool, in my world Andromeda is just the name of a star."
It was at this point that Platinum also put on her curious face, "I see."
After greetings were exchanged, Arceus sooned explained to everyone in detail of just was they where doing here.
"Okay as you the four of you know, the final act before me and Solaris marry, the Act of Devotion, will be done here in this small alter. The Act of Devotion is when we say our vows to each other early as a final way to assure that this is something we really truly want."
"I see, so we will be the witnesses to this exchange."
"Precisely Platinum, you, Giratina, Artemis, and Dusk Shine will validate this Act with your presence."
"Well, I for one am happy to do this for my brother," Artemis said.
"Indeed," Giratina said "So what are we waiting for?"
It took only a moment for everyone to get in the place. Soon enough Solaris and Arceus were looking each other in the eyes with the onlookers looking on.
"It is customary for the proposer to go first," Arceus said.
Solaris cleared his throat. "Arceus, I know that we live literally worlds apart, and that we both have big duties to our people. With those duties come responsibilities that take up our time and we have us make difficult choices."
The alicorn paused for a moment.
"But that's why I want to be with you. We all need that special someone in our life to lean on for support, just as we rely on our friends-"
Dusk Shine cracked a smile.
"-And family."
As did Artemis.
"We must also rely on each other when the need arises. I don't know if I truly deserve someone as sweet, kind and as understanding as you Arceus, but I am truly happy that you are in my life. I don't care if you don't call yourself a god, you will always be my goddess."
When Solaris finished his vow, a 'dawww' was heard. But when everyone looked for the owner, all they saw was Giratina taking a sudden interest in the ceiling.
Arceus then cleared her throat as she began her vow.
"Solaris, I have lived for as long as life existed on Earth. So I have seen and have known many different people in my long lifetime, and while you may have many doppelgangers and counterparts throughout the Omniverse, I can say with surety that their is no one like you. I never considered falling in love until I met you, while the thought had crossed my mind many, many times I always told myself I would find the right person when I did. Then I met you, and when you asked to court me I saw thought I would at least give this chance, and I have never regretted that chance since. Even when I told you that I would most certainly outlive you, you didn't care you wanted to be with me for as long as it could last. I may be able to look into the future, but not matter how many times I can look I can never truly know what the future may hold for us. What I do know for certain is I too want to spend as much time with you as I can before the future comes."
When Arceus finished her vow, no one said a word, as if they waiting for something to happen.
"That's it?" Dusk shine asked.
"Yes, that's generally how the fourth act ends," Giratina explained.
"Huh, I kinda expected a more significant outcome."
"That is kinda the point of the actual wedding. A big flashy finish here would just be mundane."
"That does make sense, speaking of the wedding who is gonna marry you two?"
Solaris and Arceus looked at each other, before looking back with smiles on her faces
4 Days later.
Hall of Legends, Ezo Island
"Love transcends all barriers, even those that exist to govern time and space. We are gathered here today to celebrate such a love."
The Hall was filled with Legendary Pokemon, their trainers , as well as Dusk Shine's friends, his sister and Princess Cadence(who of course immediately jumped at the invite) who had all came where to witness this romantic and at the same time historic event.
After, all it isn't everyday the ruler of a Kingdom and creator of a world tie the knot.
"Do you, Prince Solaris Caesar Alicor take Arceus as your wife and Conjunx, for better or for worse?"
"I do."
"And do you, Arceus of Earth-7 take Solaris as your husband and Conjunx, for better or for worse?"
"For better please."
"Then by the power invested in me by creation itself, and the authority which is recorded in the Covenant, pronounce you both as Conjunx Endura from now until forever!"
A wave of applause rang throughout the congression as the newly wedding couple kissed and embraced each other. A few legends threw a few underpowered moves into the air as a judgement was sent into the air, coming back down as a beautiful display of fireworks instead of a deadly and destructive move.
"Thank you for taking the time to do this Primus," Arceus said.
The holomatter avatar of the creator of the Cybertronians, gave his friend a smile and a nod.
"The honor was all mine Arceus."
Indeed, enjoy the rest of the wedding and congratulations you to!"
The holomatter avatar then disappeared, and at the same time a giant metal planet in view of Earth teleported back to its dimension.
"Congratulations mom," Palkia said
"It's about time she got a male," Groudon added.
"Thank you both. It's very appreciated,” Arceus said.
"I'm so happy for you, uncle Solaris." Cadence said with glee.
"You've earned this brother enjoy it."
A few hours later.
Everyone was gathered in the Hall's ballroom as they mingled and talked with one another. Meanwhile the newly weds were on a balcony under the moonlight.
"Hey, I never got to ask, but why is the second moon in the sky partially shattered?"
Arceus looked up at what Solaris was talking about. Earth's second smaller moon while predominantly spherical, had portions that were dislodged, broken and displaced into several floating, irregularly-formed fragments kept within the moon's gravity. It orbited farther away than than its bigger counterpart, but was still visible in the night sky.
"That, is a story for another time," Arceus then leaned her head on Solaris's "For now I just want to enjoy this moment."
Solaris only thought for a second before returning his wife's affection. She was right today was a happy day. Whatever future endeavors awaited them and both their worlds could wait.
