"Tia?"

"Yes Luna."

"I realized..."

"Yes?"

"Ever since my return, I haven't met the griffins."

"And you suggest?"

"Can I come with you on the next trip to Griffonia?"

"Of course! I leave for my next trip tomorrow!"

"But I can't come tomorrow."

"That's a pity."

"But...I can come the day after that."

"Is there something you're hiding?"

"No! It's just that I have work tomorrow"

"Fine. I shall write a letter to Emperor Night Claw about this."

"Thank you sister."

Her conversation with Luna was all Celestia could think about on the carriage ride to Griffonia. It was awkward and Luna seemed like she was hiding something. Celestia snorted at this. Her sister was not that good at hiding details and this time she most certainly wasn't hiding anything. But something felt...off, about how Luna could not make it. She didn't have to much work surely. This was off-putting. Celestia decided to deal with this after the trip was over as she did not like negative energy. She had to concentrate as this gathering could break or strengthen the alliance between Equestria and Griffonia. Celestia could only hope that her sister would not do anything that would anger the griffin emperor.

Luna watched as her sister's carriage sped off towards Griffonia. She was happy that she could postpone her arrival at the griffin kingdom for another day as she needed to plan a few things. Luna rummaged through her wardrobe in search of a few items.

'Let's see...' thought Luna. 'This dress, this dress...and oh this dress. And the appropriate regalia for the dresses. Yes. Now I am ready!'

The Minor Annoyance

Suddenly the door to Luna's room burst open as two bat ponies, a mare and a stallion, entered the room jumping with glee, almost scaring Luna out of her wits.

"Sweet moon! Lillith... Nightstar... What the hay?!" asked Luna gasping for air as she look at her best friends with a scared and astonished look in her face.

"We're sorry Luna," apologized Lillith as she closed the door. " But once we heard that our beloved friend and princess was going to Griffonia... We just lost it and we had to find you."

"Yeah. I mean how many stallions and mares get to say that they are going on a trip with their best friend, who apparently, is the one and only princess of the night!" exaggerated Nightstar moving his hooves for emphasis as Luna and Lillith started giggling.

"Well who said I was bringing you along?"smirked Luna playfully.

"Please Luna. Lillith and I have been waiting for a field trip since like forever!" pleaded Nightstar as he emphasized with his hooves again,as he always did.

"Please Luna, please. Do it for your friends."begged Lillith making her puppy eyes.

"Fine,"answered Luna giving in as she laughed along with her friends who were cheering. @But there is one condition. We will...HAVE THE GREATEST OF FUN!"

"Where do we start?" asked Nightstar.

"The Royal Griffonian Opera." answered Lillith.

"The Capital's Mall!"

"The Fang Claw theater!"

"The castle!" exclaimed Luna as Lillith and Nightstar gaped at her."What? Yes, you heard me. I want to see the castle."
Lillith and Nightstar burst out laughing as Luna stared at them questioningly.

"Is there something I should know of?"

"Luna, Luna, Luna. The castle, seriously?" questioned Lillith as Nightstar kept on laughing.

"Yes. Maybe I want to see the castle." answered Luna heading out of the room as Lillith and Nightstar followed her, their purple armor glinting in the moon light.

The Journey

Lillith, Nightstar and Luna walked to the courtyard where a massive blue chariot was waiting for two bat ponies to be harnessed. Lillith and Nightstar harnessed themselves to the chariot as Luna bid the bat ponies around her goodbye, promising Captain Starshine to stay safe. Luna then climbed the chariot, smiled and waved goodbye to the loving bat ponies below her as the chariot sped off into the sunset.

The cool night wind was blowing in her face as she shivered, noticed by Lillith.

"Luna, are you cold?" asked the young mare.

"Yes. The wind is harshly biting at my ankles though." replied Luna.

"Then tell the wind not to bite at your ankles, but to bite at your face," laughed Nightstar. Luna and Lillith just glared at him. "What? I was just trying to light up the moment."

"Baby you light my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed. But when you smile at the ground it ain't hard to tell you don't know oh oh. You don't know you're beautiful." sang Luna as Lillith started laughing hysterically and Nightstar snorted in reply.

"Princess Luna, one of the reasons I love you as a friend is that you always have a song for the right situation. Am I right Nightstar?" announced Lillith as Nightstar snorted again while Luna jumped off the chariot and started flying along the two bat ponies.

"You know what I like about my bat ponies?" asked Luna.

"What?" inquired Lillith.

"That they are so cool with their leathery wings and their fangs?"asked Nightstar.

"No. That they can multitask like I can. Celestia and her guards can't multitask if their life depended on it." answered Luna.

"Sunbutt and her guards can't multitask?" questioned Nightstar as his eyes grew the size of apples.

"Pretty much." responded Luna.

"Well, ya learn something new everyday." piped Lillith.
The rest of the trip Luna, Lillith and Nightstar talked for a little while before reaching their final destination: Griffonia.

To Meet Midnight's Beuty

Luna's carriage landed outside the castle's stables, where a pair of griffins awaited them. Lillith and Nightstar unhitched themselves, shaking their wings as slight cracking noises could be heard. One of the griffins took the carriage inside, while the other one guided Princess Luna and her guards towards the throne room. He left the ponies to wait outside while he went to ask the king for an audience with the night princess.

"Oooooh, I'm so excited!" shook Lillith.

"Lillith calm down. I'm excited as you are but calm down! Besides, we're supposed to look professional," chuckled Luna.

"How about you Nightstar? Aren't you excited?" Nightstar shook his head nervously at Lillith.

"Oh, hush Lillith. We're going in soon. Now stop taunting Nightstar." scolded Luna as the griffon helper beckoned them in. Luna and her guards strode in confidently. When Luna reached the base of the throne, she and her guards bowed extending her wings and neck as the griffins king remained shocked.

"Y-you may rise." he said stumbling.

"Thank you your highness. I am Princess Luna. Who might you be?" Luna asked politely.

"King Nightwing. Welcome to Griffonia. Please call me Nightwing."

"Thank you. Please call me Luna. Guards leave us." said Luna before her guards left.

"Now, let us away to discuss political problems."

"We shall, King." agreed Luna as the king let the princess to the balcony.
