The Benbow Inn

Applejack rushed through the doors carrying a basket of apples on her back, she brought them to twilight sparkle working in the kitchen. "I the apples that you had asked for twilight." she said, dropping the basket on the floor beside her. Twilight appoached the basket, she took out a handful of apples and set them on a cutting board, "thank you applejack." twilight said kindly; applejack left the room, and went outside to fetch more apples for her delicious treats. Twilight peered out the window, above the ocean rainbow dash cleared the clouds, she wasn't going to let a beautiful day like this be ruined by a group of angry cloud formations.

Twilight sparkle flipped the meat in the pan, its greenish tint was a natural gag reflex set-off to her. She placed the meat on a plate beside the stove, she reached up and opened a cabinet, taking out a small blue bottle; she sprinkle the white tiny cube shaped, contents on the meat, it turned from a light green, to a tasty dark red color. Twilight sparkle took the plate and walked through the doors; A bustling busy inn it was, families sat at tables with menus, others eating and talking about life, loners chatting and sipping freshly brewed coffee, A beautiful morning indeed.

She approached a pony dressed in a bright green dress, she looked up from the newpaper.

"Here is your coffee, Mr. Sunmane."

"Thank you twilight." she replied in a nice [lousiana] southern accent,

"Will there be anything else?" twilight added graciously,

"None at the moment dear, thank you again."

Twilight went around tables, asking if they needed anything, refilling cups with nice hot coffee, or milk, or tea. She always enjoyed the job of pleasing others through her own styles of cooking, drinks, and desserts. Twilight left the room, she opened another door and entered the hallway, she turned to the first door on the left and opened it; it was her room, a nice large bed to call her own, a large dresser, and an open closet with dresses, shirts, skirts, and pants inside.

She layed down on the bed and stretched her hooves, what a day! Loads of work, carrying dishes, cooking meals, cleaning dishes sweeping floors, helping the other ponies out with work, keeping care of the inn; she prolonged to get away from here sometimes, to a beautiful palace where everything and everyone were at her every need. But she knew it would not happen, most of the inns money goes to keeping the inn at tiptop shape. Twilight heard someone knocking on her door, she got up and opened it; pinkie pie stood there smiling at her,

"Hi Twilight!"

"Hi Pinkie Pie."

"Can you come help us with the yard, pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaase?"

"Ugh, I guess..."

"Thanks!" pinkie finished, she ran down the hallway busting through the door, and rushing outside happily. Twiligt sighed more work that has got to be done, she didn't sigh because she was annoyed, she sighed because she was exhausted, a good nights sleep would've done her aot of good, if she hadn't had nightmares of the inn being burnt down by pirates every night for the past week or so, and not telling anyone about them.

They worked on the yard, planting beautiful roses and daffodils; Mowing the lawn and trimming the bushes, stomping ant hills and bee nests; one of the bee nests dropped on applejack, the group of ponies laughed about after they had got it off her. Applejack collected more apples, rainbow dash cleared the clouds and scared off crows, fluttersy calmed the animals and sung them tunes, twilight planted flowers, spike mowed with the help of rarity, and pinkie pie washed the windows.

The day had ended and all the ponies retreated to their room to rest. Twilight layed down on her cmfy bed, she closed her eyes and drifted off into a beautiful dream about apples, wasn't this supposed to be applejacks dream?

It was the middle of the night when twilight heard the crash outside. Immediately she sat up in her bed, put on her clothes, and went outside to see what the commotion was. Applejack had already went outside, twilight saw a large ship crashed against the dock, and applejack helping out a dark furred colt, holding a chest.

"Help me get 'im inside!" yelled applejack.

They brought the cult inside and sat him down on a lofa beside the door, he gave the chest to twilight and pulled her up to his, "Take the map" he said, the three symbols on the chest, he put in a code and it opened, "Hide it, beware the cybord.. beware.... the cyborg...." twilight layed him on the ground, applejack and twilight knew what had happened. Otherponies entered the room to see a dead body on the ground.

"What as that noise?" Spike said,

"What're you guys up to!?" said Rainbow dash,

"Who was that cullt? He was mighty handsome!" stated rarity,

"Now just calm down girls, he died, his name is Billy Bones.." twilight said, they gave in a loud gasp,

"He left us this bronze ball, he said it was a map.." applejack said taking in from twilight,

applejack fiddled with it, twisting it and turning it in hope that it would open or activate somehow. Twilight tried at it, a green flash appeared from the ball and it lit up the room; luminating pictures of nebulas, glowing suns, flashing bundles of light surfing through the dark appeared, what is this? is what they all thought, spike pointed toward a specific planet, "Is that, Treasure planet?" he said touching it, soon the whole galaxy dispersed and it was focused solely on the planet spike had touched.

"What is treasure planet spike?" asked twilight sparkle,

"Treasure Planet is a legend, the loot of a thousands worlds, flints trove. The Infamous captain flint piled all his treasures on that planet, or at least thats how the story goes..." spike said anxiously...

"How do we kno' this isn' fake?" said applejack, giving signs of great curiousity.

"Well, we don't. We just have to trust billy bones and this treasure map." spike replied,

"The loot of a thousand worlds! I could get a hundred make overs, and even more with that!" said rarity, examining her mane and muttering things that she could do to it.

"Look girls.." said twilight, "We can figure this out tommorow. Let us rest, sleep on it and decide what to do from tommorow." she sounded fimly.

The ponies agreed to talk more upon the matter tomorrow. Suddenly a bright flash of light had came through the entrance, all ducked but twilight, she looked out the window and saw a ship landing, and cults getting out of it. The apparent leader was big, and had a robot front and back leg, and had a robot eyepiece as well.

"Run!" said twilight, they ran through the hallways, till they reached the backdoor; they creeped outside, hearing crashes, bursts, and seeing flashes of light from inside the house. Twilight looked back, she will never forget the benbow inn. They had found a wagon where a large creature was attached to it, "Delilah! go!" yelled applejack, the sluggish creature on two legs took off when they got on the wagon, it sped quickly down the road.

They knew exactly where they were heading to, applejacks summerhome.

The Mansion

They approached a large mansion standing out against a tall mountain behind it; the mansion was made of red bricks, and had a nice entryway, which was of course a one mile stone path in the woods leading to such a place, the door was made of a dark wood, with an outline of stone around it. Applejack calmed the creature reined to the wagon; she settled down and tramped off into the wood, making growling and howling noises. The inside of the building was beautiful, stone pillars with vases filled the rooms, bright red walls, towering bookshelves, paintings of ponies in togas holding cornicopias full of fruits; twilight was the first to do anything besides awe in amazement, she hit the books hard, cramming all the books she could fit in her hooves.

They settled on the oak benches in the dining area, beautiful artistic stone floors, beautiful vases and paintings, stoves and ovens and a steel refrigerator. Twilight was reading books, spike and Fluttershy talking about animals; Applejack and Lyra discussing their next move, rainbow dash and pinkie pie were outside wrestling.

“So, our inn was destroyed, and raided by pirates” said Lyra, making a strategy in her head as she talked.

“I guess so, what do we do now?” asked applejack,

“I know!” said spike, trying to butt in,

“We should retake the benbow inn…” said fluttershy, interrupting spike,

“No, we are outgunned…” Lyra implied,

“I know!” said spike practically yelling in their faces,

“What?” fluttershy, Lyra, applejack, and twilight said looking up from her book?

“We should go on an adventure, to find treasure planet.” He said,

“We don’t even know if it exists…” says Lyra,

“But the map-“

“But the map, the map could be a fake…” she replied,

“It’s not like we have anything to lose…” said applejack, murmuring…

“Applejack does have a point” twilight said, butting in their argument,

“Well… Even so, if we could ‘purchase’ a ship, what if we find nothing, what if it was all a big giant fake, and we traveled all that way for nothing?” Lyra said,

“Then we can return saying that treasure planet doesn’t exist, and then we could start up a new benbow inn.” Twilight said straightforwardly,

Twilight left the table and went outside to think, rainbow and pinkie pie were still at it, pinkie pie had rainbow dash in a headlock when she opened the door. Rainbow dash quickly rolled over and was on top of pinkie pie, giving her a few good punches. Twilight walked past them, and started down the stone path which lead to the roads, which lead to the city, and which lead to the ship-station, and the ship-station is where you took a ship to the moon, or otherwise known as montressor space port.

Twilights head was buried in a book about fantasy, a knight was out to save a lady from a warlock; the warlock had stolen the princess from the castle to cause war between the castle of the princess, and the castle of which the prince held from.
She was at the part where the knight was going to enter the layer of the warlock when she noticed she had hit the roads, ignoring the fact she kept walking; the road she was following would soon take her to the city.

Applejack stood up from the table and looked down at them,

“I guess it’s settled?”

“I guess it is, this is our decision?” said Lyra,

“Yes” came from fluttershy, spike, and applejack all sitting at the table,

“So that settles it” lyra stated, “tomorrow we shall set out on a ship to montressor space port, from there we shall find a
good sized ship, from there we calculate and follow the map until we reach our destination?” she said,

“Who says we can’t make a few detours and visit other planets and universal wonders while we are on our way?” said spike,

“Yes, it is not like we are on a time schedule or anything, as long as the ship is back in one piece, and so are we, everything will be fine, I hope.” Applejack said with a mouthful of apple pie,

That was when twilight entered the room; she heard the discussion and was filled with excitement. They were going to go on the adventure she thought. Twilight walked in and settled down, they told her the news and she had to act like she had just heard the news.

Applejack motioned the ponies to follow her upstairs; the stairs were spiral and made of stone with metal handlebars on the side to prevent falling. Upstairs there was a nice carpet sat on a dark wood floor, the walls were a dark green and had the same furniture as downstairs but in a lighter color. Applejack showed them to their rooms, they walked down a hallway until they reached a large room with several bunk beds, dressers, and hologram televisions.

Spike raced to the first bunk and called the top, fluttershy called the bunk under his; lyra had the top of the next bunk and twilight the bottom, pinkie pie and rainbow dash follow them to the room and got the next bunk for themselves. Applejack left the room for a moment, when she returned a colt wearing a tuxedo followed her in carrying metal plates with lids on top, behind him was a pony pushing a glass table into the room; after the table got in, the colt set the plates down and lift the lids off.

Their faces were lit, dinner! They were starved to see the delicious meal prepared for them. Steaming hot chowder, broccoli and cheese soups, fried onions set in a thick brown gravy, roasted chestnuts, glasses of fresh cold milk, bagels with sides of butter, cottage cheese, pies, salads, dressings, salt and pepper, and in the middle was a large watermelon filled with a variety of fruits.

They dug in, the colt and pony taking a plate and going off into another room. Their mouths were stuffed full of the delicious meal which they were graciously given, applejack dug into the pies which she had not seen; she grabbed the apple pie and cut her two pieces, they were quickly gobbled down with her teeth and a glass of milk.

Spike was sad there was no meat, but he dug his choppers into a thick fried onion covered in delicious gravy, he smiled in pleasure of the magnificent taste. Twilight and rainbow dash had plates full of fruits and were clearing them down quickly, fluttershy had a nice sized salad with ranch dressing, which she was eating quiet slowly, savoring each bite.

After dinner was finished, the colt returned and cleaned up the mess, and the pony returned and took the table back into the other room. They settled into their bunk beds and applejack turned the light off and closed the door, they had a big day tomorrow.

RLS Legacy

Applejack awoke and put on her robe; she left her room and went upstairs. She entered the room of the other ponies and turned the lights on.

“Wake up!” she screamed, spike jumped up,

“WH... what! I’m up!” he said scared stiff.

“Turn the light off…” slurred twilight,
The rest of ponies said the same thing, turn the light off, but in much harsher words. Applejack walked over and pulled the
covered off each one of them, one by one.

“Get up! We got a big day ahead!” she screamed again,

“Ok! Ok! I’ll get up...” twilight said, sitting up and rubbing her eyes,

“What time is it?” said fluttershy stirring from sleep.

“It’s… 7:30 in the morning” said applejack, she seemed wide awake for someone who had just gotten up herself, she handed the girls their clothes, freshly washed, dried, and ironed. Twilight, fluttershy, rainbow dash, and pinkie pie left the room to change.

They returned in their clothing, neat dresses with exotic designs, fluttershy had a dress with flowers flashing between red and green, rainbow dash didn’t want to wear any fancy clothing, so she wore her button up cloth shirt and leather pants.
Applejack led the girls downstairs, and into the kitchen; the kitchen was full of plates. Roasted boar, pitchers of milk, another melon full of fruit, wooden boxes of cereal, tea pitchers, and cooked eggs stacked on a plate, all ready to be eaten
down.

Rainbow dash and pinkie pie had contests seeing who could eat the most bananas, twilight had a piece of the roasted boar in her mouth, spike was munching down on cinnamon cereal, and pinkie pie and applejack were eating apples, of course applejack would be, lyra was sitting there…

“Are you going to eat?” said applejack, her mouth stuffed with apple,

“No thanks… I’m not hungry…” she replied, she tried eating some boar but she was just not hungry at all it seemed, she got up and left the room,

“She’s moody” said rainbow dash,

“Yeah well she doesn’t want to go on this trip, but it’ll be fun, and she knows it.” Said applejack,

“She’ll be happier once we’ve gotten to montressor.” Said spike,
They finished eating and left the room, applejack led them outside. The butler was standing out there, a small ship was held to the ground by a rope, he stood inside it working on some inner gearings and such, to make sure everything worked fine and well.

Applejack motioned the butler to get down, he did so and they climbed aboard, the butler helping them up made it easier for them. They all took a seat on the benches and applejack sat in the control pit, she pressed a few buttons and turned a knob, she grabbed the handle and pulled back as they went in air.

Off in space, it was beautiful they thought; applejack being the only one to ever go into space, she didn’t think it was ‘as’ beautiful, but still was to her. Dots of the stars sparkled, passing through waves of light blue substances and getting it in lyras hair.

“Oh no! My hair!” she yelled, trying to wipe the blue stuff from it,
Rainbow dash and pinkie pie were laughing,

“It isn’t funny!” she demanded, but they still laughed and she ignored them,

Soon they reached the outer area of montressor and passed through its atmosphere, feeling relief of better oxygen then the space provided, they took in deep breathes and large exhales. The sight to them was amazing, from the distance it seemed solid white with some dark shades and shadows, along with the boats; but when they got closer, they saw the bustling streets and roads, ponies and other creatures ran, walked, and paced around. Some worked, some relaxed in chairs, some asleep, some playing songs for money, and others doing nothing as well.

They landed in the dock, a colt was waiting for them there, and he attached the robe to a metal pole and set up a plank on the ship,

“One after another.” He said patiently, patting twilight gently on the butt as she walked by, twilights face turned red as they met eye to eye, applejack motioned them on and she had one last look with the handsome colt before he was out of site.

They found a rather large colt banging a metal pole straight through the stone with a large jackhammer, his muscles bulging as he banged down on the pole,

“Excuse me, Jacque?” said applejack, approaching him,

“Huh? Oh applejack, nice to see you again!” he said, giving her a hug,

“We need to purchase a ship old friend, know any good ships?” she replied,

“Hmm… Well, there is the RLS legacy that is for sale…” he said,

“Comes with a crew, and a guy named Mr. Arrow?” he said,

“Not exactly the cheapest-“

“You know me, I have the money” applejack said,

“The ship is that away, oh and tells your father next time you see him that I said hi”

“Will do.” She said,

They left; applejack and Jacque hugged and caught up before they left. They found the ship; it was beautiful, nice dark wood, beautiful designs, and large solar Sails. They walked up the ships bridge and saw a woman standing there in an officer’s uniform, she was a cat like creature, whiskers on her face, and she was purring, her face turned to a smile.

“Ah, Hello.” She said greeting them aboard, beside her approached a large man made of stone, his face blank besides his dark stone eyebrows,

“Hello Amelia, Mr. Arrow” said applejack, bowing,

“We would like to purchase your ship from your hands.” Applejack stated,

“Well Mrs. The ships cost is one hundred thousand dollars” said Amelia,

“Ok then, it will be settled.” Applejack said taking out a flat device with a pen attached,

“Sign here” applejack said to Amelia,

Amelia signed the flat device above a line, it stated ‘Purchase of RLS legacy for the amounted price of 100,000 $ ‘applejack and Amelia shook hands, she took the device and she left the ship. She turned around before and faced Mr. Arrow.

“Mr. Arrow!” she yelled,

“Yes Cap’n?”

“Stay on board with these ponies and make sure they keep the ship in shape!”

“Yes Cap’n, shall I still be paid for my services?”

“I will handle the money” said applejack standing forward, Mr. Arrow nodded.

“ALL CREW TO DECK BESIDES CHEF!” Mr. Arrow shouted at the top of his lungs.

Gangly creatures appeared from the underbelly of the ship, some looked like giant crabs, some had a head and a face on their stomach, stone had gills, and some were reptilian. Mr. Arrow turned back to them,

“Tomorrow we shall get you well acquainted with the crew” Mr. Arrow looked up and it was turning nighttime,

Arrow showed them to their cabins under deck, rainbow and pinkie shared a room, spike and fluttershy, lyra and twilight, and applejack got a room to herself. They settled in and went to sleep, another big day tomorrow, meeting the crew of the ship.

SuperNova (Short)

Rainbow dash awoke from her slumber; she sat up on her bed and lazily looked around, her head throbbed, she felt queasy and uneven. She stretched her aching back and got out of bed heading for the door, she crept down the hallway and walked up the docks to see a wide awake crew, and twilight steering the ship.

Twilights hooves were on the ship, she was shouting commands at Mr. Arrow, and Arrow was repeating the exact, clear, commands back to the crew. Who were right now releasing the solar sails from their roping to catch some solar drifts, and travel faster?

“Morning Rainbowdash!” said twilight, she still had her back turned and was messing with knobs under the steer,

“Approaching Malappus SUN!” shouted Mr. Arrow; he waved hand commands to the crew,

Twilight gazed at the sky, she hadn't noticed the loud noise; When she did she turned her head to the sun.

“Wait a second…” Twilight replied, she took out a telescope from her bag, she steadied it and continued to examine the sun for a few minutes, then she looked up, sweat beaded her face, her face turned read, and she gasped,

“The Malappus, It’s gone…. Supernova!” she said, she ran to the steer and tried to steer is back around, but the ship was already being pulled into the suns black hole at a quick rate,

Fluttershy approached from the docks at top speed and almost trampled twilight, she saw the sun and took out a calculator; She was frantically typing numbers and hitting enter, she then moved over to a small computer and starting making calculations, looking up at the supernova from time to time,

“The supernova will release one last Nova flux, in exactly twenty three point two seconds, if we can ride that wave out of here…” Fluttershy continued to say,

“Yes Fluttershy!” Twilight said excitedly, “We can ride that nova flux out of the black holes grip and ride on to treasure planet!” she turned to Mr. Arrow, his face with confusion,

“Mr. ARROW! RELEASE ALL SOLAR SAILS!” she shouted with deadly command,

“Aye Cap’n… YOU HEARD HER CREW! RELEASE ALL SOLAR SAILS!” he shouted,

“But we just finished...” one started to say “TIEING THEM DOWN!” another one finished him, they climbed up the ropes at a quick pace, untying the ropes and releasing solar lines to help catch the energy. The rest of the crew toppled out from under deck as a large blast past through them,

“SECURE ALL LIFE LINES!” Yelled twilight sparkle, Rainbow dash ran to tighten them all, making sure each was the correct knotting and the correct tightness, maximum tightness, she ran back to twilight who was arguing with Fluttershy,

“LIFE LINES SECURED CAP’N!” rainbow yelled over the loud, raging, black hole. They descended into the black hole slowly, Fluttershy, twilight, and Rainbowdash grabbed each other, they held on for dear life…

Suddenly a large blast was heard and the nova flux erupted through the black hole, the ship launched out of it like a cannon in back into space; Away from the grip of the dreaded black hole.

Mr. Arrow was flung across the ship at high speeds, he flew off the ship and was only holding on by the rope. He held for dear life, sweat beads forming on his rock forehead; The red crab creatures had approached the rope attached to Mr. Arrow.

"Pull me up!" said Mr. Arrow, he looked confused at the crab,

The crab shook his head no, he pinched his claws and cut the rope with them.

"Noooooooooooo!" screamed Mr. Arrow as he plunged into the darkness, and into the black holes void.

They all shouted excitedly, happy to be alive! One of the crewmates brought out ales of alcohol, and they drunk liek they had nothing to worry in the world about! Until the crab approached them with sorrow,

“Captain… Mr. Arrows lifeline was not secured…” he said in sorrow, he gave a small smile to the crew, who smiled back in evil,

“I was sure!” Rainbowdash said, she rushed to Mr. Arrow’s lifeline, no rope was there, not one bit at all… “I was sure that I secured…” she trailed off, tears in her eyes, she killed another person. It was devastating she knew something had gone wrong, she had tightened every rope, and every rope was there!

She ran into her cabin and put her hooves between her hands, she let out large rivers of tears. Poor Mr. Arrow she thought, she slammed her fist into her pillow, I KILLED HIM, I KILLED HIM! NO! I DIDN’T KILL HIM! YES YOU DID, NOOO! NO!!!!! NOOO!!!!!

She passed out, she was already not feeling well when she awoke this morning.
