It was early in the morning I had to stay in my room because Princess Celestia was under the impression that I was in an orphange far away but unfortunantly she had found out and was going to send to me to the city of Las Pegasus. (The chapters alternate perspectives between Twilight, Howler, and Cres.)
I got on the train heading to the Crystal Empire, Princess Cadence had invited me to try and cheer me up after what had happened two months ago. I had a hole in my chest that my mentor had torn, on that faithful night she banished a young colt that I had been caring for because she thought he was clouding my judgment. Ever since that night I hadn’t been able to even smile. My friends had tried everything but none of it had been working. Even my parents had come to visit me to see if there was anything they could do, but Princess Celestia thought I would get over it eventually. I had managed to hang on for this long and I thought for sure that the worst had been put to rest. Spike had decided to tag along as well with Rarity they thought they could come along to reassure me that it was the right decision, but I wasn’t so sure after seeing firsthand what he was capable of when he was engulfed in bloodlust it really changed my mind.
“Twilight relax he’s fine.” Spike said only to have Rarity hit him in the back of the head.
“That’s not helping Spike. Twilight maybe you could get together with Flash Sentry while we’re here.” Rarity said and I perked up a bit, but it didn’t help the emptiness much. Soon the train came to a stop and we left for the castle. I walked along it was around two months ago I had come here with Howler.
“Twilight you need to face the facts Howler is gone and he isn’t coming back.” Rarity said sweetly I wanted to protest but she was right, Princess Celestia had complete control over the situation and there was nothing I could do.
“I guess it serves me right for getting too attached.” I replied Rarity didn’t approve of this at all.
“You gave him hope Twilight and showed him that not everything is so bad so stop beating yourself up over it.” Rarity said
“Besides you always have us.” Spike added he was right after all.
“You all are right I need to pay attention towards my relationship with Flash.” I replied cheerfully.
“Took you long enough Twi.” Shining armor said as we entered the castle. Standing next to him was a young alicorn named Spectra she was the creator of the tree of harmony and was brought back to life through its magic with the help of Howler. Regardless of the memories I made a promise to myself not to think of him for the entire trip. That was as hard as it came. Princess Cadence came in with a smile on her face.
“Twilight, are you alright with Howler being gone?” She asked I looked down at Spike who was trying to signal to cut it out.
“To be honest I miss him more than anything what should I do?” I asked I was crying, why did Princess Celestia have to do this to me.
“Honestly I don’t it’s something that I’m afraid you’ll have to find out for yourself Twilight how to live with it, but if you ever need anypony to talk to I’ll always be there.” Princess Cadence said as she hugged me. We went back to the Crystal Castle my colt friend Flash showed me to my room. I unpacked among the things I brought with me was a picture of Howler and me, it brought me to tears. I laid on my bed and buried my face in a pillow; this whole thing seemed like a bad idea. Last month I thought that I had gotten over him but that wasn’t the case, I just didn’t have time to think about it with Terkit running around. I thought about it for awhile I couldn’t decide what to believe anymore.
“Hello?” a familiar voice said as the door opened I raised my head it was Princess Celestia.
“What do you want?” I sniffed as I sat up.
“Howler was found getting magic lessons from Princess Luna; I thought I would inform you he is now in the city of Las Pegasus.
“Why there?” I asked and she turned away.
“The town is crawling with other werewolves I just thought they would keep him there.” Princess Celestia said I looked back at the picture and made up my mind to get over this no matter what.
“I respect your decision.” I replied Princess Celestia turned her head, with a serious look she nodded with approval before sitting down next to me.
“I told you not to get attached to the project.” She said in a stern voice, I looked down at my lap.
“I tried not to but I couldn’t help it.” I said she moved towards the window.
“Have I ever told you about my parents?” She said I thought about it for a moment
“No, why?” I asked she looked back at me
“There is a reason I hate werewolves Twilight.” She said in a cold tone, it gave me goose bumps.
“Why is that?” I asked
“They killed my parents after we found out they were playing to betray us.” Princess Celestia said the thought made me cringe; I couldn’t see it ever happening. “I’m sorry for having been so hard on you with Howler but it’s pointless to live in the past, you need to look towards your future.” She left the room, I could hear muffled crying as she left I didn’t know if it was her crying about her parents or my condition. I sat there taking in what Celestia had told me for a while before getting up to see if she was okay, the room was locked so I went downstairs. Standing in the front door were my friends with smiles on their faces, in the middle of them stood two young wolfish looking colts, one was Howler, the other was older, wore camo cargo pants, a blue shirt with the word Freedom on it, and sunglasses in his mane. He had a light grey coat and a white long mane. I was over filled with joy.
I got up it had been two months since I had been forced to leave, Celestia had found out that I was training with Luna and had put me in the town Las Pegasus. I started to wonder if there was even a way out of this situation but I kept coming up with the same answer no. I began to walk around the town was filled with gangs, ponies who were only dressed in their underwear, gamblers, and junkies. I began to wonder if they had a similar life to mine as I heard a pony yelling out.
“CATCH THAT WEREWOLF BASTARD!!” I looked over to see what was going on there was kid running from a few colts in suits, the kid was wolfish, a grey coat, a white mane which was fuzzy and out of control, rough looking like his coat which as he got closer was dirty especially around his face. He was wearing a blue short sleeved t shirt with the word freedom in the middle and camo cargo pants, along with a pair of sunglasses in his mane. He had a smirk on his face as he turned around and taunted the men chasing him. They broke off the chase and he ran right into me I fell down onto my back.
“Hey watch where you’re going!” I said as I pulled myself up.
“Weird what’s a guy like you doing in Las Pegasus?” He asked as he sat up, he was holding something that looked like a very small black kite shield.
“I was forced to come here, why were you being chased?” I asked
“Cause I stole this it’s a collapsible shovel with one side as sharp as a dragon tooth.” He replied as he unfolded what I had thought to be a kite shield. It was around two and a half to three feet long and was completely black.
“Alright well see you around.” I said as I walked past him soon after though he was by my side again.
“Where are you from?” He asked as he folded the shovel again.
“A town named Ponyville why?” I replied as I continued on my way.
“Because you seem upset why?” He asked
“Because my mom.” I paused for a moment could I consider Twilight my mom but for now I think it would help this kid know. “Let’s just say she’s there and I’m here.”
“I know a way to get to Ponyville.” He replied
“Well can you help me get back?” I asked he thought about for a moment before replying.
“Sure my name is Cres.” He replied as he held out his hand it bugged me that he was willing to help so easily.
“Howler but why are you helping me?” I replied
“We’re werewolves it’s what we do for each other, besides I need to make a delivery there before going back to the Crystal Empire.” He replied with a smirk on his face I couldn’t help but think he was up to no good. Later that day we got out to a train, he informed me that it was around a day long trip but I didn’t mind as long as the result was the same in the end.
“Cres where is your family?” I asked he turned and looked out the window.
“I was a little cub when this griffon named Abiectus came along and let me stay with him in the Crystal Empire at his bakery so now I run errands for him since he’s around sixty years old.” He replied I couldn’t believe it a griffin taking in a pony it was something I had never heard of.
“If you help me get to my mom I’ll help you get to the Crystal Empire.” I said as I offered him my hand he turned around and shook it.
“No problem.” He replied as the ticket colt came around and stamped everyone’s ticket.
Later that night Cres and I were still awake neither of us could sleep I assume for the same reason we’re too excited to be reuniting with our families. I also was wondering what if I get caught by some of the royal guards if they did would Cres help me he didn’t seem like a fighter more like a lover. Regardless of which we were on our way. The next few hours passed and we really got know each other his full name was Crescent Moon. He told me all about his family and I told him about Ponyville and my pack I offered for him to join us but he turned me down and said that he was a loner for a reason I didn’t get anything to answer that though so I had dropped the subject. Soon we arrived in Ponyville we got out and I started to run I was so happy to be home, he had run after me as I busted through the library doors to find that it was completely empty.
“Howler stop!” Cres called out as I walked out with disappointment on my face.
“We’ll just ask around for where she went no big deal.” He replied completely forgetting that she could be all the way around the world. We stayed at the library for a while then Fluttershy and Scootaloo came along.
“Wolf Boys?” Scootaloo said as she saw Cres she came to a stop on her scooter and Fluttershy caught up.
“Scootaloo this is Cres he helped me get here.” I said
“Well if you ask me he does seem to be cooler than you.” She said I didn’t know if she insulting me or complementing him.
“You’re here to see Twilight oh dear she just left three days ago for the Crystal Empire and won’t be back for a while she’s been acting weird for the past two months and hasn’t talked to anypony ever since you’ve been taken away.” Fluttershy said and Cres had a look on his face that would indicate that he was concerned.
“Wait wait wait one second you didn’t tell me you were banished Howler.” He said
“Well you see Celelstia thought I was too much of a distraction for Twilight and made me move away.” I said defensively.
“Whatever lucky for you I don’t go back on promises.” He said with a grin on his face.
“The train won’t be back for another three hours.” Flutterhshy muttered. “We could get the others to go with us.”
“Sure let’s go.” Scootaloo said as she took off on her scooter leaving the rest of us to catch up to her. We decided to start with Sweetiebelle and Rarity first, along the way Scootaloo told Cres and me about how Sweetiebelle had a big crush on Spike. Cres found it hilarious that was much to the amusement of Scootaloo. They joked around but soon we came to a stop at the Boutique it was then that Fluttershy told us that Rarity had gone with Twilight and Sweetiebelle was staying with Pinkie Pie so that’s where we headed next. We walked in to find Pinkie, Rainbowdash, Applebloom, Applejack, and Sweetiebelle all eating at a table. We walked over and Fluttershy explained everything to them.
“So in short we need to get on the train that gets here in thirty minutes so we can all go and help Twilight. Am I getting that right?” Cres asked I forgot he was only here because he promised to help me and I promised to help him. “I hate to break to you but we need to get tickets.” He had a point so we all ran to ticket booth the clerk had a surprised look and what surprised me was that Cres bought all the tickets. How did he get his money? Was one of the many question he needed to answer but regardless I didn’t bring it up as we got onto the train. Which proceeded to leave and then it occurred to us none of us had packed.
“Great now what we wear our clothes for several days straight?” Sweetiebelle said channeling her inner Rarity.
“Hey no problem it’s not that big of a deal.” Scootaloo and Cres said at the same time.
“Cres why are you here?” Scootaloo asked that was something I had forgot to mention to them.
“Well I was delivering something’s in Las Pegasus for my grandfather when I ran into Howler and I decided to help cause it was obvious he had no idea what to do.” Cres teased and Scootaloo giggled.
“You seem awfully chipper.” I commented he smirked
“To be honest this was the first delivery I’ve done were nothing’s gone wrong.” He said
“Who’s your grandfather?” Fluttershy asked
“A griffin named Abiectus” he replied it was still hard for me to believe that and looking around it went for everypony, before long the train came to a stop and we got out. We walked to the castle were Flash was holding Twilight on the couch she was crying and he didn’t look much better. Spike walked over to us he was obviously sleep deprived.
“Hey Howler.” He said drowsily before walking over and sitting on the couch next to Twilight. It took a few minutes to realize who he had just seen then he jumped over the couch causing it to fall over backwards.
“SPIKE WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA!?” Flash yelled as he helped Twilight up. “No way Howler you alive we heard Celestia had killed you.”
Twilight wiped her tears from her eyes as she walked over to me; she got down to where my face met hers before hugging me.
“Howler I see you disregard my orders once again and along with your new friend.” Celestia said as she came into the room but she sighed of relief. “May I speak with you Howler.” We walked over Twilight came with me.
“This is hardly the time for the matter at hand Twilight I suggest you enjoy this day with him, but before you can do that I need to have a word with you, Flash, and Howler.” She said before walking off and we followed she stopped when we were far away from everyone.
“I want Howler’s word that he will not do anything to put the rest of us in danger.” Celestia said Twilight had a confused look on her face.
“Fine you have it.” I replied and for the first time ever I saw Celestia smile.
“Alright you all go for a picnic or something.” She said
Howler walked off leaving me with complete strangers so I decided to turn around and walk to my house. Before I could go though somepony grabbed my shoulder I turned around it was the young white unicorn. She wanted to me to stay I could see it in her eyes but I couldn’t read why though.
“You’re a mess.” She said as she took the sunglasses from my mane, I felt offended, I didn’t think my sunglasses were that dirty.
“She is right you are pretty dirty.” Spike added.
“Sorry for not having the ability to shower for a week.” I said as Princesses Cadence and Spectra along with Lord Shining walked in.
“We thank you for bringing Howler back.” Princess Spectra said I had no idea what the big deal was with this guy, why was a werewolf held in such high regard. “Without him we might’ve not been able to bring Twilight back to her usual self. What is your name?”
“Cres.” I replied
“Well then Cres how about you stay for dinner as our way of saying thanks.” Princess Cadence offered as the purple alicorn, Princess Celestia, orange guard, and Howler walked back. I had gotten back ahead of schedule and my grandfather and aunt would still be gone on their business trip in Manehattan and I had nothing better to do so I agreed.
“I almost forgot to introduce everyone to you Cres.” Howler said Yep you did do that. “This is Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Princess Twilight, Rainbowdash, Pinkie Pie, Spike, Applebloom, Sweetiebelle, and Scootaloo.”
“Nice to meet you all but I have to go deliver something.” I said as Sweetiebelle gave me back my sunglasses, they looked confused as I turned around a left.
I walked down the stairs to the center of the city; I proceeded to take Diamond Street. I continued my way to the less luxurious part of town, the part that I call home. I continues walking until I found an old rusted ladder that led to the roof of an apartment, I climbed it at the top was a safe, hammock that was underneath an umbrella, a couple of blankets on it, and a radio. It was all I owned, in the safe held several thousand bits that I’ve earned through my deliveries, but I never spend any of it. I sat the shovel down next to the safe opened it and took around twenty bits out and put them in my pocket. I relocked it and went back down the ladder, before walking back down Diamond Street and taking a left heading to the part of town that held the ponies that weren’t made of crystals. I continued my till I reached a bakery owned by an elderly griffon. I walked in and he greeted me.
“Cres I have a delivery I need to make for Princess Spectra.” He said that was his way of saying hi to me, I have been working for him since I was seven he took me off the streets of Las Pegasus and brought to his bakery where he taught me most of what he knew. He handed me a box that had a ribbon wrapped around it.
“How was it visiting Las Pegasus?” He asked as he led me to the door where my bike was located. It was black and a hybrid between a road and mountain bike in the front was a basket for the bow.
“It was fine, crappy as usual though.” I replied as I got on and started on my way back to the castle.
It would take me around fifteen minutes to get there, this was around my seventh delivery to the castle this month of course we were the only bakery who delivers in the crystal Empire. I took Diamond Street speeding past the crystal ponies; I kept going until I reached the castle. I stopped and parked my bike in the front. I got the box and walked up the stairs, I knocked on the door and Princess Cadence answered the door.
“Cres you were faster this time by around two minutes.” She said since the bakery had a policy of we will get to you in less than twenty minutes everypony who ordered from us timed me.
“Didn’t know I was being timed.” I joked.
“How about you come in this time.” Princess Cadence offered as she took the box from me,
“If you insist.” I replied as I walked in behind her, Lord Shining walked over to us and took the box.
“Cres you’re early.” He said as he led us to were a party was being set up.
“What’s going on here?” I asked
“Well Cres Cadence is going to have a baby.” Spectra said as she jumped out from behind me.
“Congratulations your highness.” I said the griffin always wanted me to be respectful to those in power.
“Cres I’ve told you before you don’t have to address me like that after all we are very well acquainted.” Princess Cadence said
“I guess I forgot I’ve been in Las Pegasus for the past week.” I replied she looked at me with a concerned look.
“I know you grew up there but why go back?” She asked
“I just needed to see something is all.” I said not wanting to go into what I was really doing there. We continued our conversation until we reached the ballroom where the ponies I had met earlier today were all standing around talking.
“Cres I thought you had to go?” Scootaloo asked
“Well you see it’s complicated.” I replied as I rubbed my head.
“Cres I think it’s about time for you to go make another run, but when you go could you ask that griffin if he would allow you to have the evening off so you can join us for dinner?” Cadence asked
“Sure.” I replied
“Spectra could you walk him out?” Shining asked and she did, I got on my bike and headed back to the bakery. I explained everything to the old feather brain.
“So you want some time off again?” He said puzzled.
“Come on feathers Gilda can make the runs tonight.” I said he took it into consideration before reaching a decision.
"Howler slow down!" I called out to the young colt who was running full speed with his friends to some bakery.
"No way Twilight!" Scootaloo said as she tried to fly with the little buzzing her wings made I couldn't help but giggle a little. We soon came to the bakery only to find that it was covered with flour. Including a young colt and griffin I realized it was Gilda.
"This was your fault Cres!" She yelled
"It's was your idea!" He yelled back at her the two glared at each other for a good ten seconds before realizing we were there.
"Um what happened?" Sweetie Belle asked as Rainbowdash, Rarity, and Applejack walked in.
"Gilda?" Rainbowdash said which caused the glaring to stop.
"Rainbow?" Gilda said as if she had just seen a ghost.
"What are you doing here?" Rainbowdash asked
"Gilda! Cres!" an elderly griffin yelled as he walked down the stairs. Cres and Gilda looked at each then to the mess followed by a look at us then back to each other. "Gilda go clean off some of the tables and chairs. Cres your waiting tables."
"Alright" They both said before getting to work. We had to combine a few tables so we could all sit together.
"So what exactly happened Gilda?" Rainbowdash asked
"Well we were unloading the flour, when the bag ripped causing it to fly everywhere all because Cres wanted to do it himself."
"Well your claws were what ripped the bag in the first place." They went back and forth for around five minutes before finally stopping.
We ate our food and left to get ready for dinner. Rarity had insisted on us going shopping for something more appealing to her than our current dresses. We had gone to around five stores before she found something that was "worthy of her flank" At least that what she said. The rest of us found something in the first store. As we left it occurred to Rarity that she didn't get anything for Sweetie Belle and her friends so we had to go back to another five stores and by that time we had to rush to get ready for dinner.
"Hold still Howler." I said as I struggled to get him dressed up.
"Why do I have to?" He asked as I tightened his tie.
"Because we're eating with royalty." Spike said as he walked in dressed in the same outfit as Howler.
"Fine." He said as we headed down to where everypony was already sitting down.
"I almost forgot how good he is at cleaning himself up." Rarity said as I sat down next to her.
"So when is Cres going to get here?" Spectra asked as she looked around for him.
"Well the bakery got backed up so he's to busy tonight." Shining said Spectra looked a little disappointed.
"Don't worry I'm sure you'll see him tomorrow." Princess Cadence said it didn't take long for dinner to be served. It was spaghetti, Spectra ate rather quickly and was the first one done. The butler took her plate, she wiped her mouth with her napkin.
"You ate rather quickly." Princess Cadence said
"Well I wanted to see if I could help Cres out." She replied which caused Cadence giggle a little.
"I didn't know you had a crush on him." She said which caused Spectra to turn bright red. "Alright you can go." and with that Spectra flew off. The other kids were soon to follow her.
"We might as well tag along." Applejack said and we to were off.
When we got there Gilda and Cres were going back and forth between tables, to my surprise Cres was a pegasus he flew by us several times before stopping.
"Look we're a little busy right now so it'll be a while till you can have a seat." He said before taking off into the kitchen. He came out and sped past us with a box, he gave it to a pony who was waiting outside and sped back in took some ponies orders and went back to the kitchen.
"Hey Gilda do ya need any help?" Rainbowdash asked
"Yes we've had to stop deliveries because this place got so crowded since somepony saw Princess Twilight in here earlier today." She replied
"Wait really?" I asked but Gilda was already gone and everypony got to work. It wasn't long before everypony had left.
"Finally a break." Gilda said she was out of breathe along with Cres.
"Thanks for your help." The older griffin said as he switched the open sign to closed.
"It's really no problem." Rainbowdash said as we left.
The kids fell asleep on the way back to the castle so we had to carry them. We put them in their beds, Rainbowdash, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie went to bed as well. So I found myself talking to Rarity.
"You know Twilight we'll be leaving tomorrow." She said I nodded and she took a sip of tea. "Are you sure your ready to take him back I mean a lot has changed since the last time." I thought about it. It was true I now had a castle and more royal duties but I was sure I could handle it.
"I'm sure Rarity." I replied and she gave me a worried look.
"You haven't even finished moving in." She said she had a point about that.
"I'm sure I can handle it Rarity." I said
"I'm going to hold the right to say something to Celestia if it looks like your loosing it." She got up washed her cup out and headed upstairs.
I woke up because a guard stormed in shouting something about a fire. Twilight got up and quickly got dressed. She told me to stay here, I looked out the window I could see the smoke rising from the direction of the bakery. I opened the door so I could hear the guards talk about what was going on.
"The bakery are you sure?" One of them said the other nodded as Princess Cadence ran past them.
I wasn't sure what to do, probably because there was nothing I could do. I watched as most of the guards followed, it seemed a little much for just one fire. I was curious about what was going on so I snuck out of the castle and followed Twilight down to where everything was going down. It wasn't just the bakery but an entire block of the city, I was in awe several ponies where panicking while the fire department was trying to put the fires out. I saw Twilight's horn light up and a strong breeze came through and put the fires out. I looked at the bakery it was destroyed out of it came the old griffin and Cres. Neither one of them seemed to be hurt but they were certainly dirty. Cres had black spots from the ash in his mane and his sunglasses were cracked.
"Howler I told you to stay back at the castle!" Twilight yelled as she saw that I was behind her.
"Sorry." I said I was still looking at Cres, Gilda flew down and picked him up.
It wasn't long before we found ourselves with Cres at the castle. Now he was coming with us back to Ponyville until the bakery was rebuilt. It was Twilight's idea it met with resistance by Rarity the two walked off talked came back and Rarity hadn't talked since. Not even when it was time to go. I knew Rarity thought it was a bad idea to have me living with Twilight again but I didn't think she would go this far about it. The two didn't speak even when we got onto the train.
"So what's this school thing about?" Cres asked it about broke almost everypony on board.
"You have never been to school?" Twilight asked concerned
"Nope, but Gilda teaches me things sometimes." He replied I could tell looking out for him was going to be harder than anypony originally thought.
"Well school is a place where kids go to learn." Twilight replied but before she could start a lecture on it Cres had lost interest and instead was messing with the shovel he stole.
"Hey why are you messing with that?" Rarity asked he looked at her
"Why not?" He replied she frowned at his response
"Because it's not proper." She replied and his response what so well crafted I bet not even Celestia would ask it.
"What is proper?" the question caused Rarity to put her hand over her mouth. "I mean you keep saying it but to me it seems like you would have to take into account other ponies perspectives to truly determine that."
"I'm sorry you lost me." Rarity replied but Cres just rolled his eyes and the train came to a stop. We got out and to my surprise Cres had only a backpack while the rest of us suite cases except for Rarity who had enough stuff packed to last the apocalypse.
"Um Cres you packed a little light." I stated he looked at me with a confused look.
"Um this is all I have." He replied which caused Rarity to almost have a panic attack along with Sweetie Belle.
"What!? This must not be quick we must go shopping!" Rarity called out as she grabbed him by his backpack and started dragging him away.
"Wait for me!" Sweetie Belle yelled as she ran after them. I felt sorry for the guy, I mean I've heard stories from Twilight about how Rarity shops and it takes forever.
"How long till we send a rescue party?" Scootaloo asked and Rainbowdash started laughing.
"If he doesn't come back sometime today." Twilight replied as Applebloom and Applejack walked back to the farm.
"We need to throw a welcome back party for Howler! I need to prepare!" Pinkie pie said before bouncing off.
"She isn't serious right?" I asked
"She probably is um we need to get re-settled in." Twilight replied so we started walking to where I thought we would find the library but instead there was a castle.
"Um when did this happen?" I asked in awe as I looked at the giant structure.
"It's a long story I'll tell you later. You'll be sharing a room with Spike for now. So I'll let him show you where it is." and with that she walked off leaving Spike and myself in the maze of hallways. I followed Spike to the room, there were two beds and a bookcase full of gem recipe books.
"Hey Howler have you ever thought that um....well Sweetie Belle was kind of cute?" He asked I couldn't believe he was asking me of all ponies also that it was actually happening.
"What?" I asked for reassurance so could make sure I heard him correctly.
"Forget I said anything so you in the bed on the left." He said I sat my stuff down on the bed and began unpacking. I started putting things in drawers when I found a picture of me and Twilight when I first started living with her. I remember I was rather difficult at the time but at the same time I wished I had never had left.
"You know she's sorry for having to let you go right?" Spike said I looked at him as the door opened and in walked Princess Luna.
"I'm here because thou is my student and needs to be trained." She said I never got used to how she slept in and out of old English.
"Really you don't have to do this." I said as Rarity dragged me by backpack. I had enough clothes I just washed them a lot so I didn't need to many but I felt like that wasn't going to get me out of this.
"Oh but I must. No pony should just have a couple of clothes and besides you need a new pair of sunglasses." She said seeing how mine were broken. "And besides you need to look good for Princess Spectra arrives, don't think I didn't notice how you two act around each other." I could feel my face getting red she sounded like Princess Cadence.
"Come on shopping can be fun." Sweetie Belle said
"Ugh fine." I said and Rarity allowed me to walk we visited a couple of stores and bought a dew pairs of jeans, a jacket, come new t-shirts, and a new pair of sunglasses that looked like my old ones.
"Oh I almost forgot to say this if you turn out like the last werewolf we had the displeasure of meeting and hurt my liitle sister. I'll skin you and turn you into a dress." Rarity said I gulped
"Um where is Twilight's place?" I asked but Sweetie Belle grabbed my arm
"I'll show you let's go." She dragged me to the large purple castle that I couldn't help but feel stupid for missing it on the way to the store. I walked in and was greeted by a guard who took me to a room across the hall from Howler and Spike's room. I sat my bag down along with my new stuff and began unpacking. The door opened I looked behind me to see Princess Luna and Howler standing there.
"So your the new werewolf." She said with great displeasure in her voice. I was beginning to wonder if everypony thought I was out to get them.
"Yes I am. My name is Cres." I said and she turned and walked away.
"Don't mind her we just well had a problem with the last werewolf we met." Spike said as he ran to catch up to them. I laid on the bed it wasn't as comfortable as my hammock but it would do for now at least. I stretched out my wings as I looked at the ceiling. I was wondering why this last werewolf was so bad that it changed their opinions of an entire race. I jumped off the bed and headed out. I was stopped by a guard.
"Sorry I was told you couldn't leave your room." He said I sighed this whole live with Twilight thing was going to drive me crazy.
"Hey what was that?" I asked I looked around but it didn't work and there wasn't a window in my room. I looked closely at the guard he was an earth pony which tipped the odds in my favor. I began to fly ever so slightly up and took off past him.
"HEY!" He yelled as he tried to run after me but I was to fast. I blazed through the hallways to the front door but Twilight shut the door.
"Where do you think your going?" She asked with a frown on her face I landed as two guards came to her side.
"What is everypony's problem!?" I yelled and both guards stood in front of Twilight.
"I'm sorry but the last werewolf we had running around after Howler came around tried to kill us we're not taking any chances." She said calmly my eye twitched
"Racist." I said she looked offended by that I took to the skies again but she caught me in a levitation spell.
"Before we came here Princess Cadence told us you knew a werewolf by the name of Blood Moon is this true?" She asked
-Flash back-
"Cres ease up it's only camping."
"But Blood Moon I haven't been outside the Empire before."
"Your lucky that old griffin aloud me to do this with you and if you get hurt he won't let us do it again."
"You promise if I slow down we'll go camping again?"
"I promise"
-Flash back end-
"He died a few years ago." I said and she let the spell go
"How is that possible?!" She yelled at me but I took off out the door. I found myself flying fast I stopped in mid-air I was a good two hundred feet off the ground. I took a deep breathe and calmed myself down. I flew back down and found myself walking the streets alone.
"Cres. That is your name correct?" I turned around to see Princess Luna standing there. "Are you sure Bloos Moon died a few years ago?"
"Of course I'm sure. We were on a camping trip I was eight at the time it was my first time out of the Empire. There was a rock slide and it killed him." I said I felt tears run down my face.
"I see I would hate to force you to answer any other questions right now but I will later." She said she flew off. I continued walking till I found myself back at the castle. I walked in only to get tackled by Spectra.
"Hey." She said I looked up at her, she had an evil grin on her face. "I've been looking for you. You know you shouldn't let the whole Blood Moon thing get under your skin to much." Ever since we met she had always been looking out for my well being.
"Well could you at least get off me." I said and she did.
"You know we have school tomorrow right? Also we're sharing a room and before you asked Princess Cadence arranged that." She said happily. Of course she did.
As Spectra said the day before we had to get up early for school, which I might add was a pain in the flank. Who ever thought of such a thing must've been a criminal master mind. I mean waking up early who does that?
"Cres come on we're going to be late." Spectra said and we flew to school while everypony else walked. We got there as what seemed to be two stuck up rich ponies did. We landed and Spectra started messing with her mane.
"No way a princess is going to school with us!?" One of them yelled as she and the other ran over. They swept her away before she could even react I was honestly impressed.
"So you're the new wolf?" A pony said from behind me I turned around her mane and coat were both silver. "My name is Silver. I'll show you around." she gestured for me to follow.
"My name is Cres." I said.
"Alright where here's the class room." She said she went and sat down next to another werewolf girl and Howler. I found my seat in the middle.
"You sure that's the kid?" I heard Silver ask
"Yeah he's the one has the Princess Worried we might have another psychopathic Blood Moon on our hands.: Howler said I squeezed my fist hard.
"He can hear you moron." Silver said looking at me.
"So what if he does anything then Princess Celestia would just take care of him." the other werewolf girl said "And besides there's three of us,"
"So what?" Silver said
"I think that maybe we should be more careful he might try to kill us like Blood Moon." Howler said and with that I got up and walked out. I took to the skies and headed to the forest. I landed by the edge before I could take a step into the forest something grab my arm.
"Cres. Where do you think your going?" It was Spectra she held my right wing in her hand.
"I just need to go see something." I replied as I took a step into the forest.
"Then I'm coming to so where are we going?" She asked I snickered a little.
"To go see where I buried Blood Moon." I replied we started walking into the forest. It took a little while before we found it, the grave had been uncovered. Spectra stayed behind as I walked over to it, it was empty. I heard growling coming from a bush to my right I turned my attention to a timber wolf emerging I slowly back up to Spectra and we flew out of the forest.
