this is a very dark story might not want to read. I'll warn you this. Celastia has seen many die and many wars but none can prepare her for what's coming very soon.
Princess Celestia has seen many dear to her die and seen many wars. But none can prepare her for for what is going to happen.
Celestia woke up with a shock of horror. She was lucky it was a dream. She looked frantically around her room. In her dream Luna had become Nightmare moon once more, and joined forces with King Sombra. "Huh. Silly me. Luna would never do that."
Princess Celestia looked to the window to see what looked like a pair of amber eyes.She cocked her head."Discord?" She rubbed her eyes trying to see clearly. It was just her imagination.
And yet it all seemed so real. Right now the alicorn did not want to get up nor go back to sleep. She decided to wake up Luna. She reached for Luna next to her, only to find her sister gone. Though most would believe that the princess would get up, in this situation Celestia was actually afraid. Old memories of her childhood came to mind. The white pony pulled the covers over her head falling asleep. She hoped Luna would be there to comfort her.
Even her younger sister could comfort her in this situation. She wanted this all to be long nightmare! Oh how she hoped it was.
"Celestia! Sister get up!" The pony woke up to her sister shaking her violently."Time to raise the sun hurry!" All the alicorn wanted was n extra minute to sleep. Luna was dragging her down the hallway by the hoof. Where ever Luna was last night at least she was safe.
Celestia remembered all too well the horror of her childhood. She spent 3 years with Luna in their castle.
Their parents had gone to war with draconaques, and neither heard from their parents. They soon met a baby draconaques gonna seachnfor his parents as well.
He turned against them. Discord had betray Luna and her. After discovering the elements of harmony they turned Discord to stone. But now he was free. Luna and her were no longer connected to the elements of harmony.
Celestia knew he was always watching. Getting ready to strike but when, she was not sure.
She and Luna had lost their first friend that day. A friend that wanted revenge. A friend no more.
He was now haunting her dreams.
She felt his ever watchful eyes, gazing, observing, and worst of all,plotting revenge.
"Oh Celestia. I know you know."
The princess froze. Slowly carefully pulling the covers over her head.
"No need to hide my dear. I know your there." His cold, dark, somewhat amused voice scared her.
"I can not believe your sister has not awoken yet." His paw touched her shoulder. She didn't dare move."She would be devastated to find me here. Pity she isn't here." Discords eagle claw poked her thigh. White, even paler than her own shade she could tell her pelt paling, and blushing at the same time.
Celestia Took a deep breath."Discord enough of your games," she slapped his paw turning on the oil lamp.
"Well that's just not fair," Discord said sarcastically. "I never thought I would see the day when an alicorn and draconaques would fall in love." Discord smirked as he saw the expression on the princess's face.
"We are not a thing Discord." Celestia said smugly.
"Sad, but true," he snapped his talons. He was in bed besides the white pony." But did your heart not stir when we battled? Is it not true that enemies share a special attraction? " he wiggled closer. Much too Close if you ask Princess Celestia.
He grabbed the alicorn by the shoulders, and pulled her out of the bed. He held her in his strong arms. His head leaning closer and closer to hers."Need I not remind you tomorrow is hearts and hooves day? And who else better than me to be that pony, or how would you say.....oh yes that draconaques." He couldn't help but laugh at the look on Celestia's face.
She as almost horrified by his Statement that she almost fainted in his arms. She couldn't believe how warm and safe she felt there. She just felt like she belonged there. In his arms cuddling,warm, and always safe from harm.
She must have fallen asleep in his arms because She woke up, and found a necklace with a diamond on it. That for sure told her it wasn't a dream.
Next to the bed was a note with a rose on top. She carefully opened the letter and it read:

Happy hearts and hooves day! From,
Discord
"Oh Discord." Celestia murmured. She pulled the note her chest and placed the rose in her mane.
Once Luna was sure her sasleep.was asleep she flew out the window. All she wanted to do was being wrapped in her beloveds fore legs. She did not care what he did in the past. She loved him and that was that.
She knew Sombra was evil, dutnshe loved him with all her heart. Even her having to baish him wasn't enough to tear them apart.
She knew of one way to get to him and that was well.. through his dreams. She knew she should stay at home, but Celestia didn't know. At last she hoped
Luna landed in a Small cave above Canderlot. She let dreams fill her mind. Ones of King Sombra.
Her vision became blurry, then she saw Sombra.They raced twords each other. As the reached each other their bodies entwinig they told each other how much they missed each other.
They both truly loved each other.
At Canderlot castle Celestia was awake hoping to see Discord. As if on que he lightly pulled himself through the window."I'm sort of glad that sister of yours isn't here right now." He landed in the bed next to the pony. His eyes softening.
"Happy hearts and hooves day Discord." Celestia cooed. Her head reaching up to his night. Unexpectedly she pulled his head down and kissing him square on the lips.
Frightened at first he was now returning the kiss he pulled the princess closer.
"How was your day?" Sombra asked.
"Same answer as always sorry."
They both gave each other a long kiss before waking up.
Celestia noticed Discord should leave."As mush as I would love you to stay Discord you have to go." Discord sat up.
"Tomorrow night?" He asked hopefully. Celestia smiled and nodded.The draconaques flew out the window retreating to his small cave.
Luna flew as quickly as she could home. Please let be Celestia asleep. As Luna came down to the window and peaked in her was nowhere to be seen. She guessed she should just come up with an excuse as to not being in bed. She dreaded the day ahead of her.
That night Lunaricided to stay home. Neither of the two sisters knew of each others romances, but both knew if The other found out they would go crazy.
Discord did not notice the blue alicorn on the bed I until he plopped down on her thinking she was gone."Kyyyyyaaaaaahhh!!!!!" Luna shrieked. Celestia did not want to know if Luna saw Discord. She pushed him off the bed and pulled the covers over Luna's head.
Discord got the message and snapped his talons. Poof! He was gone. Celestia ran to Luna's side."Are you alright?"
"Mabey a few bones fractuerd , but other than the I'm fine," Luna smiled softly."Did you see what fell on top of me sister?" Celestia shook her head. She could not risk telling her sister about Discord.
Luna could tell something was wrong. She saw it on the look on her sisters face. Did she know about Sombra? She only hoped not.
Celestia went for a fly. She only hoped to find Discord in his cave. "Please be there," Celestia muttered.
Luna did not know where her sister was going, so she followed her. Celestia strangely wore a rose in her mane every day and night. She did not know who, when, or where she got it. She saw the ponies shape slip into a cave. Had her sister found out where she was going every night?
Celestia sighed in relief as she saw a long shadow across the ceiling. "Discord sorry about last night!"
Luna peaked around the corner. She heard her sister say, "Discord?" She swore she heard his name. And was her sister apologizing for something? Yes she heard her sister say," Discord sorry about last night!" Why, and what was she apologizing for? It all became clear. Discord was the one who woke her up! Discord was why Celestia had that look on her face! It was all Discord!"Discord! Stay away from my sister!"
Both the alicorn and draconaques froze."DISCORD! Stay away! I hate you! She hates you! And for you Celestia! What were you apologizing for!?" Luna shrieked.
Discord snapped his tail feathers. The couple were gone. "DISCORD! DISCORD!" Tears streaming from Luna's eyes staining her elegant coat."Dis- Cor.." Luna fell to the ground. "I TRUSTED YOU!"she screamed." YOU TRUSTED ME! YOU WERE MY friend. Our friend!"
Luna cried all day. Staying curled in a heap of blue fur. Celestia would have a lot to explain when she got back.
"Oh Luna please forgive me. Discord help me please. Show her you can be trusted." The pony held the draconaqueses neck filing her wings around his arms.
He nodded. Discord did not like to see ponies cry anyway.
Celestia did not want to go home for fear of the mess and anger of Luna. She sighed, pushed the door open and walked in. Just as she suspected. A mess and an angry Luna running down the hall ready to strengle anypony."CELESTIA! YOU HAVE ALOT TO EXPLAIN! "
I woke up in the middle of the night on hearts and hooves day eve. I found you were gone, and found him in our room. He asked to be my especial some pony, and I fell asleep in his arms. I think he took it as a yes. After that he's been visiting every night, and we fell in lo-" The princess didn't have to end her sentence. Luna was devastated. She knew about her being gone. She fell in love with her enemy! Their enemy! He must be playing her! No, this can't happen! But then again she was in love with her enemy too."Care to explain were you've been since I've told you my secret?"
Luna was hesitant, she signed then told her story. When she was done the look on her sisters face was obvious. She was horrified."I'm sorry. Any way to forgive me?." Luna pleaded.
Discord saw and heard everything. She told her sister!? How could she?! How dare she!? "Well she had to explain to her sister," Discord told himself.
He was not going to come tonight. Celestia would understand. Wait. He forgot something. Luna was in love with KING SOMBRA! HOW COULD SHE LOVE HIM!? HE WAS A MONSTER! nOT LIKE HIMSELF anyway! Sombra was born a crystal PONY! He turned against them! His own kind! Discord didn't have any of his kind left. Sombra was a born monster!
He could not be related to him! Never in his whole life! Sombra didn't even have a heart! Discord had a heart! He couldn't stand to see along cry. And besides he never killed anyone. Sombra did! No he had to end this and now!
He stormed to his cave and summoned an orb. "Where is king SOMBRA!?" He yelled. A picture formed on the orb. It was ice and snow. He couldn't hide for long.
Discord snapped his talons. He was in the icey north. He stormed through the crystal empire not caring who saw him. He searched through the forest, and the snowy plains. There he found it. A small fortress made of black crystals. He snapped his tail feathers.
He appeared in the amazingly small throne room. There on the throne was King Sombra himself."Well, well, well. Look who we have here. Is it not the lord of chaos?"
Discord clenched his fists. He let out a roar. It was so loud it broke the windows. The pony froze." I will not be your brother in-law! RRRRAARGH!"
"Whatever do you mean?"
"You know what I mean! Go! Or else!" Discord was holding Sombra by the neck. Squeezing, tighter and tighter. He let go. Discord was gone. He had lost his temper. The draconaques was back in his cave. Pacing he was cursing to himself for not doing it properly. He teleported to ponyvill. He did not care where he went. A peagasas was in front of him. She was a small buttery pony with a pink mane. She stared at him with border in her eyes. She was familiar, but he couldn't place it. She stared up at him." W-why are you here Discord?" She squeaked.
That's it! He remembered her! She was Fluttershy the element of kindness. Of all ponies it had to be her. It couldn't have been that Twilight Sparkle! "Ugh!"
"Discord why are you here!? I haven't seen you in a year! Where we're you!?" She spat.
"I- I was busy." He grumbled.
"Well that's no excuse for abandoning me for a year Discord! A YEAR!" She attempted to give him the stare.
" Oh, pish posh my dear. The stare doesn't work on me remember?" The peagasas slapped her head. How could she forget.
She grabbed his paw. She dragged him through the ever free forest, and to her cottage. When she got there she didn't feel anything in her hoof."DISCORD!me
Every pony was angry with him. Even his xgirlfriend! Even princess Celestia! "RRRAH! I can't decide! I just can't! If I go with Fluttershy Celestia would , well who knows what she would do. And if he went with Celestia Fluttershy would go all flutterrage on him! What to do! And if he went with neither? What then! They would turn him to stone? " I don't know! I can't decide!" Discord sobbed. He put his head into his hands.
"May I be of assistance?"
"Go away! Wait. Zecora?"
" Yes it is me. So what is it that troubles you so?"
"It's Princess Celestia and Fluttershy. I can't chose! Please help me," Discord pleaded.
Luna did not care where she went. She flew as far away as she could. Her wings drooped. She crash landed in the middle of the everfreee forest.
A yellow peagasas saw a blue alicorn flying over her cottage about 30 minutes ago. She had decided to follow Luna. She noticed her crash landing. Fluttershy flew down, but was suddenly blocked by a mysterious black mist. She tried everything she could to get around it.
It was too late. She saw more of the mist near Luna. She heard a loud scream. Fluttershy could not see. Everything was black. So very black. She heard an evil laugh below. She opened her eyes only to see not Luna, but Nightmare moon! Fluttershy screamed.
As she flew back to her cottage she felt like she was flying faster. She also felt a little different as well.
Nightmare moon quickly flew off back to Canderlot castle. She twirled in flight as she pleased. The wind blew in her ears like sharp blades. Oh how she missed this form. The decided to sing one of her oldest songs as she flew.
"The moon shall rise,
The sun shall die.
I wander long while all asleep.
Why not walk a moon light meadow,
Seeing all the night shall bring thee." She sang. She continued her song as loudly as she pleased. She loved the haunting sound it had which pleased her so much.
Most would not expect a little song to please something(Some pony) like Nightmare moon to be happy like she was and so easily.
