The lights of the flashing cameras were very exciting for the generous fashionista Rarity, of whom the adoring paparazzi were desperate to snap a picture. It was very difficult for the paparazzi to get pictures of her because, she was very hard to get a hold of just to snap one picture of her walking down the red carpet in Canterlot. But before the paparazzi could snap a picture of Rarity, she was already down the rest of the red carpet as an interviewer with a slicked black mane walked up to her.

''Miss Rarity, what brings a fine lady like yourself to Canterlot's exclusive red carpet?'' the interviewer asked curiously.

''It's pretty simple darling, I'm willing to spread my generosity all over Equestria to make my friends and family very proud of me.'' the beautiful fashionista said proudly. ''I've got to thank everypony here, for helping my dreams come true -''

Rarity snapped out of her comatose dream. Wiping the sweat off of her forehead, looking down at her completed fashion delivery orders. ''Oh phew, I'm so glad that I finished these fashion orders ahead of schedule, or I would be worrying to death like Twilight did when she has a mental breakdown.'' She lifted her head off of her work desk, and trotted over to her saddlebag in her mannequin showcase room.

''I'm glad that I'm going on vacation, it's going to be as fabulous as ever!'' Rarity packed her saddlebag with her necessities for the trip. She was still unclear on where she was going to spend her first vacation in months. The reason that she wasn't able to have time for a vacation was that the shipping orders for all of her dresses had been piled up for months from desperate customers.

Out of all the places to go on vacation, I should choose the one place where the elite of fancy ponies are very proud to boast and show off their looks. It might not be my style, but it doesn't hurt to try something new. Rarity thought to herself.

Rarity finally finished packing her stuff in her saddlebag, quietly walking to the door with her little energetic sister sound asleep after a long day of crusading with her friends. She slowly opened the door quickly, closing the door slowly with grace.

The bustling of stallions taxiing their customers was surprising in a city that never sleeps. Rarity finally arrived in Canterlot, the city of the Canterlot Elite, and all of the rich business ponies rolling in the bits of their corporation success while just outside the city the poor struggled to get enough food to survive the week.

''I'm finally here! If I'm going to survive in this windy city, I'll have to find somewhere to stay for the night.'' It took a while, but Rarity pointed her hoof to the Canterlot Royal Hotel.

She walked into the main room of the hotel, where the hotel receptionist was giving the hotel guests their respective hotel keys to get into their hotel rooms. Trotting up to the reception desk of the hotel, she ringed the bell with her hoof. ''Excuse me, ma'am?''

''Yes, how may I help you?'' the hotel receptionist asked.

''I would like your most fabulous hotel room available please.'' Rarity requested.

''We only have one room left due to the holiday rush hour, but I'm willing to give you this room.'' the receptionist replied, handing Rarity the key from the hotel key display case. ''Here you go, enjoy your stay!''

''Thank you so much!'' Rarity skipped away to the hotel lobby elevator, handing the receptionist an Emerald gem.

The flamboyant unicorn looked down at her room key, as she was anticipating to see the fabulous room that the receptionist told her about the last hotel room that was not occupied. As the elevator came to a complete stop on the floor that Rarity's room was located on, the doors opened automatically with the fashionista skipping out of the elevator.

Hmm, Room 324... If this isn't the room, I'll have to write an angry letter to the hotel. Relatively speaking, of course. She thought to herself, looking up at the top of the door:

Room 324: Canterlot Royal Hotel

Rarity knocked on the door, the door collapsed from the limited amount of pressure that Rarity's hoof had on the front door, the force was so surprising that even the door's hinges fell apart completely. The whole hotel room was a complete mess from top to bottom, the bathroom and living room windows were all shattered, the ceiling was falling apart from the renovation that the hotel staff had to do to keep the room up and running, even the floor was covered in dirt and falling apart.

''This room is a crime against everything!'' Rarity stomped her hooves on the floor, her hooves cracked the weak surface of the floor. She fell under the floor of the room, as she was plummeting through the three floors all the way down to the hotel lobby. ''This is totally unacceptable!'' she shouted with all of her might, her chin ricocheted off of the receptionist's desk.

''I'm sorry but, I can't possibly live in a room like that.'' Rarity said.

''Sorry to tell you this, but that is the only room we have available since a lot of the fancy ponies always plan ahead of schedule and the hotel is booked up because of it. So you're either going to have to stay in that dingy room, or you will have to pay to have the room fixed.'' the receptionist replied.

''How much will it cost to repair the damages, and how long will the construction take?'' Rarity asked curiously.

''The cost to repair the damages to your room, will be approximately 5,000 bits. Construction will take a week to complete, it would be best to find someone to stay with until your room is fixed.'' the receptionist said, filing her nails with her nail filer.

''I guess that's fair, I'll have to find someone to share a room with. But first, where is the hotel's restaurant?'' Rarity asked, rubbing her chin with her hoof curiously.

''It is on the right side of the elevators, you can't miss it!'' the receptionist waved to Rarity, checking her computer for any mishaps with the hotel rooms.

The energetic unicorn trotted over to the hotel's restaurant, stopping straight at the bar of the hotel. ''I'll have to get rid of all of the stress that I had lately, so I'll have to drink this away.''

Rarity looked up in awe at the exotic drinks stacked on the shelves behind the counter of the bar, with all of the drinks that could give the mare a run for her money. She would have never thought to succumb to drinking her stress away, but she will always find a way to get past the problems that trouble. A unicorn who has grace, beauty, and finesse finds a way to look past the problems and look at the positives that can guarantee enlightenment. When Rarity decides to meet a mare that she has met before, they will realize that they have more in common than they knew existed.

Rarity slurped the drink so fast, that her throat didn't have enough time to savor the moment with the exotic drink. All of the ponies around here at the nearby tables were all enjoying their meals of sunflower sandwiches and smoothies, out of the blue was an elegant modeling mare who was known around Canterlot as Fleur De Lis.

A mare who is married to Fancy Pants would be known around in a famous city like Canterlot. Becoming famous isn't easy, but you have to earn a living if you are not famous in your own right. The fact that Rarity always had the dream to become famous and become one of the Canterlot elite, was something that she had her priorities in order.

The sophisticated mare approached the bar counter, sitting down on the stool next to Rarity. ''Hello, is it okay if I sit here?'' she asked politely, with a confident tone in her voice.

Rarity peered her eyes over to the right, her eyes sparkled with the bright lights of the restaurant reflecting off of her eyes. ''Fleur De Lis, it's such an honor to meet you again!''

''Nice to meet you as well, Miss Rarity. What brings you to this part of Canterlot, the fancy and elite ponies that you've always wanted to be like?'' Fleur asked, perking up her eyebrow.

''I'm staying here at the Canterlot Royal Hotel for a quick vacation, I didn't expect a pony like you to stay in a fancy hotel like this without Fancy Pants by your side.'' Rarity wondered, staring into Fleur's shimmering eyes.

''I heard that your room is currently getting worked on to bring the room to it's former glory, if you're looking for someone to take you in while your waiting for your room to be finished, I'm willing to take you in.'' Fleur said.

She didn't want to take the offer that Fleur gave her, she was even starting to question her own generosity. The feeling that a famous mare like Fleur De Lis offering the fashionista an opportunity to stay with her while her room is under construction, was a very exhilarating feeling that not even her words could describe how she felt. Rarity usually didn't have a pep in her step, but this time there was an exception.

''It would be an honor, to share a room with the most glamorous mare in Canterlot!'' the exuberant fashionista screamed with joy.

''Sounds like a plan!'' Fleur walked off of her stool, she pranced out out of the restaurant along with the fancy unicorn fashionista at her side walking up the stairs to Fleur's hotel room upstairs.

The two unicorns reached the front door of Fleur's hotel room, they looked at the decorated door that was covered in shimmering diamonds and with a porcelain surface on the cover of the door. Rarity opened the front door with her hoof, the sunlight peered from the inside of the glamorous room.

Not only did the room catch Rarity off guard, the interior design of the room really caught her attention with every dazzling feature that the room had to offer, it was a very impressive sight.

''So, how were you able to afford this luxurious room?'' Rarity asked, rubbing her chin.

''Well, Fancy Pants lent me some bits to afford this room. I was getting bored of the fancy Canterlot lifestyle, so I decided to take a quick vacation to where else, Manehattan.'' Fleur answered, hovering her brush near her mane.

''Well, now that I'm staying with you until my room is fixed, can I get a tour of the living room?'' Rarity asked.

''Of course, you can! Follow me to the living room.'' Fleur trotted to the center of the living, pointing her hoof all around the room.

''This living room looks outstanding! It has a hot tub, a diamond encrusted lounge chair and sofa, also a mirror that compliments your looks and always gives you positive advice. You really outdone yourself, Fleur.'' Rarity chuckled, she tried to hide the crimson red blush on her cheek.

''Thanks, Rarity. My room is your room I would give you the guest bedroom, but you are my guest so it is better to let you share my room with you that is if you want.'' Fleur fluttered her eyelashes, brushing her mane with her magic.

''Really? Oh, you don't have to Fleur.'' Rarity said.

''But I insist, my room is your room. It is all part of your generosity, correct?'' Fleur asked.

''You are right, I'll accept your offer. If there is any issues or problems you want to address to me, just let me know.'' Rarity said, kneeling on her knees.

''Will do, Rarity. What do you want to do tomorrow?'' Fleur asked, putting away her stuff gently with a pale magenta aura surrounding the items while sorting them by size and quality.

''We should go to the hotel's salon to receive some fabulous hooficures, it is better to be rejuvenated on vacation.'' Rarity's eyes sparkled in delight, snuggling gently into her bed next to Fleur's bed.

''Good idea, we should get some rest now to make it there early. Good night, Rarity.'' Fleur closed her eyes, turning off the lights, snuggling in her bed as well.

''Good night to you too, Fleur.'' Rarity said quietly, closing her eyes.

The sun was shining through the window blinds of the bedroom with peaceful bliss of tranquility, until it was interrupted by a high-pitched whining as it echoed throughout the hotel room. ''WHY?!'' Rarity's voice was so loud, that all of the windows shattered with glass scattered all around the floor of the bedroom. Fleur rose out of her bed grumbling with disgust, regally trotting over to the source of Rarity's despair and the whining.

Fleur searched around far and wide in the hotel room, to look for the optimistic mare. ''Rarity, where are you?!'' Fleur shouted to the top of her lungs, pursuing the exuberant mare.

''I'm right here, Fleur.'' Rarity said, inhaling and exhaling very quickly to stay calm.

''So, I'm guessing that you are okay?'' Fleur asked curiously, peering her eyes into the bathroom where Rarity was located.

''Yeah I am, now I guess we should get going to the spa then?'' Rarity asked, brushing her mane with her vintage brush.

Fleur and Rarity headed out of the hotel room door, elegantly trotting downstairs to the spa. The spa was decorated in an organized fashion - lotus pedals, flourishing plants, mud baths, and the atmosphere of the spa was very refreshing. The walls were decorated with flower pedals where the sunlight glistened through the window.

''This place looks simply divine!'' Rarity sat down on the spa bed along with Fleur, where Aloe and Lotus Blossom welcomed them both with open arms. The two mares were pampered from head to hoof while they enjoyed every single moment of it, the seaweed wraps, mud baths, and the tenderizing massages that gave them so much enjoyment.

''That was really relaxing, I've never felt so pampered in all of my life!'' Rarity shouted with enthusiasm, giggling.

''Thank you so much, Rarity. I really needed some excitement on this wonderful day.'' Fleur exited the spa with Rarity to back to the hotel, leaving their tip on the front desk counter. Remarkably, Fleur had the best time of her life with Rarity and it was worth getting pampered.

''It's my pleasure, darling. It was really nice spending my time with you today, let's do this again tomorrow.'' Rarity proclaimed.

''It's a deal!'' Fleur said, with excitement on her mind.

Canterlot Royal Hotel

Rarity had the best time of her life, with a unicorn that needed some time alone but she made an exception for her. With the sun shining and the optimistic feeling coming to light, she was ready to take on the world.

''Last night was the best time of my life, I should be spending this one last time with Fleur.'' Rarity awoke from her hotel bed, walking over to the door of her hotel room. A blue aura surrounded her horn and the door, she opened the door with her magic.

Rarity walked elegantly over to Fleur's hotel room, where there was a note left on the door:

Dear Rarity,

I'm sorry about not telling you this sooner, but I had to cut my vacation time short to give Fancy Pants some space. So, in the mean time, you can enjoy your vacation time if you have any time left so that you can spend it with another great mare.

I will always remember the time that we shared together, the fun that we had, and just enjoying each others company in a fancy hotel in one of the most glamorous cities in Equestria.

Sincerely,
Fleur De Lis

Rarity finished reading the letter. ''I can't believe she left, I guess I should head back to Ponyville.'' Two clear tears rolled down Rarity's face along with mascara running down her eyes.

The elegant fashionista rushed back to her room, opening the door without hesitation. She packed her dresses, jewelry, and clothes into her luggage bags and headed down to the receptionist desk in the hotel lobby.

The receptionist tapped her hooves back and forth on the keyboard of the hotel computer, handing keys to all of the new guests to the hotel. ''Yes, how may I help you?'' she wondered.

''I'll be checking out of the hotel, I'm heading back to Ponyville.'' Rarity replied, waiting for the receptionist to respond.

''Sure, all you have to do is return your hotel key and you can be on your merry way.'' she answered back.

''With pleasure.'' Rarity handed the receptionist her hotel room key, while she placed it on a wooden shelf of hotel room keys.

''Goodbye, have a wonderful day!''

''You too!'' Rarity smiled with a big grin and ran out of the hotel to the train station.

Canterlot Train Station

Rarity rushed to the train that was coming into the station at the right time, walking into a train car and unpacking her luggage. The train's station conductor announced aloud to the train station: All aboard!

The conductor checked his watch before heading back into the train, as the doors closed behind him. The train was on its way to the destination: Ponyville.

Ponyville Train Station

The train arrived at the station in just the neck of time, where Rarity stepped out of the train car and walked out on the wooden platform of the station. The elegant unicorn took her luggage off of the train using her magic, and ran off back into town. She rushed with all of her might to her home, the Carousel Boutique.

With the strong winds blowing in the elegant night, Rarity rushed into the boutique without a moment to spare. Picking up a quill and dark blue ink with her magic, she wrote down on the blank piece of paper.

Dear Fleur De Lis,

After spending a wonder day with you, I'm saddened to say that I'm going to have to part ways unexpectedly with you too. Don't take this the wrong way since I enjoyed our time together.

I hope that our paths do cross again some day, in the future.

Sincerely,
Rarity

Using her magic, a blue aura formed around the letter and an envelope. The letter flew into the envelope with the envelope sealing together with a sticky adhesive. As the envelope flew out of the window to Canterlot, where Rarity wiped a tear from her face.

Thank you... Rarity said to herself silently.
