Shadow, the name spoken of a half alien, a savior of Earth, but mostly a monster, maybe him with many others can live a new life in a new world and make new friends.
I am Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog. I am the ultimate lifeform, but Equestrians don't seem to think so. No matter, the others are here so I can at least toy with Faker and talk with Rouge. All of the others are freaking out in this new world where magic exists. These ponies keep going on about the magic of friendship like its the best thing since Black Doom's death, there is no magic in friendship. Friendship is optional and not necessary, they think the opposite. Not only that, Sonic and the others are going along with it. The only one that isn't here is Charmy, the annoying bee kid, and Vector, that loud mouth crocodile.
I'm in some weird crap now. My only help is Omega, the Chaos Emeralds, and my "friends".
"Oh come on, Shadow. It is your party." Sonic nudged my side and was speaking to me while everyone was enjoying themselves.
"Today is just a reminder of everything that happened on the ARK." I stated as I watched everyone party, talk and have fun.
Everyone was here:Knuckles, Rouge, Tails, Silver, Blaze, Omega, Espio, Amy, Cream and Cheese, Vanilla, and even Commander Tower was saying he would arrive. Only loud mouth Vector and annoying Charmy aren't here for obvious reasons.
"You might cheer up once you get your gift from me," Sonic said,"and from some others of us."
"Whatever, Faker." I said and walked over to Omega.
"Hello, Shadow. May I know how your day has been?" Omega asked.
"Crappy, just crappy. Have your parts been functioning correctly?" I questioned. Omega sometimes needed to have repairs.
"Affirmative, they have no need for repairs." He responded.
What to do now?
"Hey, Shadow! Let's open your presents and then we can all eat!" Amy shouted from across the room.
Sonic decided to throw a surprise birthday party for me and set it up while I was at GUN. It doesn't matter what my house looks like, I don't want stalkers over here, I'm looking at you.
I sighed and walked over to the table with a black and red disposable table cloth on it. I sat down on the end, shaking my head in embarrassment and frustration.
Omega handed me a gift.
"I made it myself with modifications. It should suit your needs." He stated.
I easily ripped the wrapping paper open and saw a wooden box, I opened it.
"Damn...." I said in awe and held up a polished, black with a red stripe, full metal M4. It had a red dot targeting system under its barrel.
"Thanks, Omega." Everyone was staring at me with fear or surprise. They all knew that me holding a gun was bad.
"You are welcome." He said and returned to a chair at the table.
Amy tossed me a red wrapped box.
"What did you get me rose..." I said in a somewhat happy tone as I set the M4 down on the table in front of me.
I ripped the paper off, opened a cardboard box and found a black tuxedo with red pen stripes.
"I know you'll look good in it. Especially when you go to see me and Sonic get married." Amy said with clasped hands and stared at Sonic.
"Good luck with that, Faker." I said with a smirk and set the clothing on to of the M4.
"Well, Shadow, here is my gift, Silver's, Knuckles', and Tails'." Sonic said and threw me a plain cardboard box that had a glow in it.
I opened it with a hanging mouth.
"You're joking, Sonic." I said.
"What is it? Silver wouldn't even tell me." Blaze asked.
"Well..take a look." I said and dug two chaos emeralds from my quills, the green and blue emeralds.
I then pulled out a cyan emerald, a yellow emerald, a purple emerald, and a silver one. Everyone gasped.
"No worries, I still have the red chaos emerald." Sonic said, putting everyone to rest.
"Who's next?" I asked, now eager for gifts.
Rouge handed me her gift from my right.
"Really...I guess I'll need it, though. Thanks Rouge." I said and pulled boxes of all kinds of ammo from a cardboard box with torn wrapping paper.
A flash of white happened in the whole room.
"What the heck?" Sonic said and took defensive posture as did many others and me.
A few moments later, we all settled down.
"Here, Shadow." Espio said and gave me his gift by walking to me.
"Okay...good mood break, Espio." I said and opened it.
I pulled out a huge windmill shuriken, it looked specially made with a slot for a chaos emerald in the middle of it.
"You plug a chaos emerald into it and it can charge chaos energy when you throw it, doing more damage and it will teleport back to you. I had tails help me engineer it." Espio explained.
"Thanks Espio, thanks Foxboy." I said and multiple flashes of white happened.
A portal then opened up and sucked us all in, including my gifts and the food as well as streamers and other objects.
We were all laying on a tiled floor in front of some winged unicorn with a purple coat, mane, and tail.
"What the hell is this?!" I said and everybody rose up from the floor except Cream and Cheese and Amy.
"The spell worked!" The winged unicorn exclaimed and clapped her hooves.
Stay calm
"Where are we? Amy!" Sonic overreacted and rushed to Amy. He did have a secret 'thing' for her.
"Blaze, you alright?" Silver walked over to Blaze, who was close to him and shared a kiss.
Knuckles put Cream on his shoulder and Tails picked up cheese.
"Where are we and who are you?!" I questioned and picked up my new M4 holding it at the weird creature.
I noticed that the food was all over the floor as well as my other presents were over the floor with party decorations.
"You're in Equestria and I'm Twilight Sparkle. I'm so excited to meet youuu." The creature said. It was obviously some kind of small horse, a pony.
"Hey, Faker, Silver, you hear that." I said and lowered the M4 and gathered my gifts.
I hid the chaos emeralds in my quills and made sure there were no rings lying anywhere. I always kept about 100 on me and Sonic kept at least twenty like all the others.
"Yea, we heard. But first thing first, we need to see if Amy, Cream, and Cheese are alright." Sonic said.
I walked over to Omega.
"Status report."
"No threats on this land, parts are fully functional, and no casualties." Omega reported.
"What an interesting bunch these...creatures are." I heard a motherly voice that instantly reminded me of Maria. I whipped around to see another winged unicorn with a white coat and a mutitude of colors in her mane that flowed.
"Hey, Sonic. The Master Emerald is here. Any ideas why?" Knuckles said. I saw him holding it behind me with the others around him.
"It controls the chaos emeralds, so it probably came here to preserve that control." Sonic guessed.
"What are you...things...and where are we?!" I demanded and held up the M4 to them. I had my normal GUN issued glock in my quills. Protocol.
"You are in Equestria, I am Princess Celestia and this is Princess Twilight Sparkle. We are alicorns and rulers of this land." The white alicorn answered.
Interrogations have changed my way of asking questions.
"Sonic, what happened?" Amy asked as she came to.
"Some odd place called Equestria in front of two alicorn princesses." Sonic said trying to sound calm.
Amy jumped up.
"Wait, WHAT?!" Amy was obviously freaking out.
Tails was trying to piece this together and figure it out.
Knuckles had that worried look on his face.
Espio was next to me talking with the new creatures.
Cream was out cold.
Cheese was now fluttering around Cream.
Sonic was busy with the group.
Amy was busy trying to regain her strength.
Omega is...doing nothing.
Silver is worried about Blaze.
Twilight was staring at Espio and me with curiosity and excitement.
Celestia was about to speak.
I was staying calm and keeping my defense up.
"We should chat about this down in the throne room." Celestia spoke.
We were all sitting in the throne room, chatting once Cream came to. I had met a blue alicorn with a starry flowing mane on the way to it.
"So, this is Equestria?" Sonic questioned.
I still don't trust these ponies, so I kept my M4 in my hands with the shuriken that Espio gave me in a plane that held chaotic energy. My other presents were on my right on the floor. Speaking of the floor, we were all sitting on cushions.
"Yes, may we know who you creatures are?" Celestia asked.
"I am Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog." Faker said.
"I am Silver the Hedgehog." Pothead stated.
"I am Amy, last name Rose." Amy announced.
"I am Espio."
"Cream and this is Cheese."
"Knuckles the Echidna. The last echidna." Knucklehead informed.
"Blaze the Cat, pleased to meet you."
"Rouge the Bat."
"I am 123-Omega, but just call me Omega."
"Who are you then?" Twilight questioned and looked at me.
"That's Sha-." Sonic began.
"Shut it, Faker! I can speak for myself." I scolded.
"Geez..." Sonic complained.
"I am Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog. That's all you need to know." I said in a low, cold tone.
The ARK...Maria...why was I reminded now?
"He isn't a talkative one, is he?" Celestia asked.
"That's Shadow for ya, he's probably thinking about Maria again." Rouge said.
"That's none of your business." I stated and stood. I put my presents into Omega's storage department in his chestplate. I kept the M4 on me as well as the Chaos Emeralds.
"Hold on to those." I said to him.
"Understood, items will remain protected." Omega responded.
I reached into my quills and took out my favorite green chaos emerald.
"What is that?" Twilight asked with wonder.
"One of the seven Chaos Emeralds, they are magical artifacts with infinite chaos energy. They are not to be trifled with when together. I have six and Sonic is holding the seventh." I stated.
"Chaos...control." I said in a normal tone and teleported outside. I put the emerald away and walked to the castle wall and leaned on it.
I breathed in and out silently, clearing my mind before I heard a voice.
"YOU! Creature, you are trespassing, surrender and come quietly!" The voice demanded. I looked up and saw three grey ponies pointing spears at me.
"Hmph...you don't know who you are messing with..." I said quietly.
A spear was thrust toward my head, they took what I said as a threat. I quickly jumped over them and skated off back towards the castle throne room doors. I didn't intend to harm anyone here, yet.
I opened the throne room doors and Sonic came up to me.
"Shadow, you wouldn't believe who is here." Sonic said.
"Who?" I asked.
"Eggman, and he's brought an army of his best bots as well as Black Doom!" Sonic said.
"Black Doom!? That's impossible. I killed him, remember?" I sounded shocked out of my mind.
"Are you going to abolish me from this world, too, Shadow, my son?" Doom's Eyes came flying threw the open doors and floated around me.
"Fuck off..." I said in a cold cruel tone.
"What words to say to your father..." He said and chuckled.
I pulled the M4 up from my right hand, took fast aim, placing the grip in my left hand, and fired the whole clip at the ugly thing as it zoomed all over the room above us. I quickly reloaded and then realized it wasn't going to hit.
"Hahahaha..." He laughed and flew over toward the ponies.
"So...these are the dominant creatures in these world. They can easily fall at the hand of me and Dr. Robotnik." He said and chuckled once more.
"I hate that thing..." I said and lowered my M4.
"I know how ya feel, Shadow, old pal o' mine." Sonic said.
"I will not allow Equestria to fall into the hands of you or Eggman!" Celestia protested and tried firing magic at him, he easily floated out of the way.
Doom's Eye floated off.
"Do not dwell here long, Shadow."
"What is that machine?" Celestia questioned quickly before we started to go after him.
"A M4, an automatic firearm, it is highly deadly in the hands of an expert." I said and rushed out the throne room doors and into the streets of Canterlot. I wanted him dead, to have him around and kill more innocent lives...I needed to follow out and fulfill the promise I made to Maria even if I'm in a different world.
I need to give them all a reason to be happier.
"Shadow! Wait up!" Sonic shouted from behind me. I ignored him until his was up next to me.
"We should wait and think of a plan! You know we need to have a plan!" Sonic shouted at me and we both halted in the middle of the street, the ponies staring at us.
"We need to strike fast, Sonic, they won't be expecting it since it isn't like anything we've done." I argued.
"But you have most of the chaos emeralds on you, you give black doom that and he will be very close to getting The Black Comet to Equestria, you could kill many people. Maria wouldn't want that, would she?" Sonic said.
"You have a point Sonic even though I hate to admit it." I admitted. I chaos controlled us back to the castle and the others saw the green chaos emerald in my right hand before I put it away. I hung the M4 on my back, using the red strap.
"We need a plan." Sliver announced.
"Well, where would we start?" Twilight asked, she was first of the ponies to get over us and Doom's Eye.
"The chaos emeralds...we could easily defeat them using our super forms." Silver said.
"But at the same time we risk the comet being put on Equestria." Blaze argued with Silver, a rare sight.
Blaze and the others who weren't around for the Black Alien Invasion were filled in on what I did and what unfolded.
"The Black Comet was destroyed way back then by the Eclipse Cannon, remember?" Tails questioned.
"If so, then the return of Black Doom must mean that the comet has returned as well." Espio said with a finger to his nose.
"I say we just charge in and kick Eggman's butt first then whoop Black Doom!" Knuckles bellowed.
"Knucklehead, if we do that we leave ourselves open, we need to keep thinking of a plan." Rouge argued.
"Or....a plan to the bigger plan."
Cream and Cheese had been chatting with the other five ponies, talking about our adventures and our world. Celestia and Twilight were really the only two paying attention.
"Shadow looks like he has said plan." Omega said and everyone stared at me.
I saw the blue alicorn walk down the stairs and join next to Celestia. They nodded to each other.
"Before we do anything that could get up in deep water...we should scout the area they chose to fortify, but before that, we need to find them." I said.
"Great idea, Shadow! So, who's going to stay here?" Sonic asked.
"No need for any of you to stay, we have guards to protect us." The blue alicorn spoke.
"Who are you?" Rouge questioned.
"I am Princess Luna, Ruler of the Night." She said and looked towards Amy, who was about to speak.
"But what about the other small villages here, they will be unguarded and left open.for attacks." my said, sounding concerned for these ponies.
"We can send guards out to protect them." Celestia said.
"So...any idea on where to start looking?" Sonic asked, ready to find and whoop some enemies.
"Yes, actually. We would of heard news of their arrival if they got here near a major city." Celestia said.
"Then they would be out in the badlands, the Everfree Forest, or the Frozen North." Twilight inferred.
"We have no idea where those places are though." Knuckles observed.
A map and compass appeared from a golden puff of mist. The items floated over to Sonic.
"That is no problem anymore." Celestia said.
I snatched the map from Sonic and held it up to Omega's eyes.
"Scan." I commanded.
A red line of light came from the screen of his eyes and it went over the map. He then projected a bigger version.
"Scanning complete, map of Equestria is downloaded." Omega reported before the projection dispersed.
"No need for a map now or a compass." I said and sonic handed back both objects.
"What about Cream?" Amy asked, looking to Sonic.
"She'll have to hang here, its too dangerous for her to come with us." Sonic said and Amy nodded.
"Don't worry we'll take good care of her." Luna assured.
We were all about to leave when Twilight stopped us.
"Can I come with you guys?" She asked.
"Why not? Come on." Sonic said with a wave.
"I hope you can run fast, we waste no time." Silver said as we walked outside.
I pulled my favorite green chaos emerald out of my quills and Twilight stared at it.
"Chaos...control!" I shouted and we all disappeared and reappeared at the north wall of Canterlot.
"What'd ya do that for!?" Knuckles shouted at me, waving a fist.
I put the chaos emerald back in my quills.
"So we wouldn't attract attention." I went up to Omega.
"How far from the Frozen North are we?"
"More than five hundred miles at least." He responded.
Twilight was amazed with the massive teleportation.
"You always leave me behind, soooo...you're gonna carry me." She said and hugged him.
I had a small mental laugh.
"How fast can you run, Twilight?" I asked.
"Pretty fast." She responded.
"I hope so."
Omega changed his feet into spheres. I had gotten him an upgrade that would allow him to move much faster and keep up with us if we needed him to.
"Is everyone ready?" Sonic asked.
"Looks like it, let's go." Silver responded and Sonic took off north bound.
Knuckles decided to run instead of glide and rouge did the opposite. Tails just used his namesakes to hover above us. Omega stayed behind me and espio to the right. Twilight was trying her best to keep up with sonic and me at the front. Silver and Blaze ran beside each other, behind Sonic. I had turned on my skates and was moving forward with barely any effort. Amy had her eyes shut from the wind.
"Omega, count us off every 25 miles we have left to run." I ordered.
"Affirmative." He responded.
We all kept quiet for the most part, since we needed our breath, actually, only the non-runners needed to save their breath.
"450 miles 'till our destination is reached." Omega reported.
"Screw it...this is taking far too long..." I stated.
"Everyone, grab one of mine, Silver's, Sonic's, or Blaze's hands." I commanded in a stern voice, everyone did so.
I was holding onto Espio and Rouge. Sonic was holding onto Tails and Knuckles. Blaze was holding onto Amy and Omega. Silver decided to also hold onto Omega and Twilight, Omega was heavy, even for me.
"What is your idea here, Shadow?" Sonic asked.
"Just shut up and run. Everyone increase speed and hold onto each other's hands tightly." I said.
"Now I get it." Silver said.
"Let's go." I said and skated off at an extreme speed, slowly reaching my maximum as well as everyone else. I couldn't go as fast, since I was held down.
"Keep up." I said and we were all leaving behind the appropriate streaks of color. Mine being a red-orange, Blaze's being fire, Silver's being a cyan color, and Sonic's being his famous blue color.
"425...400...375...350...325...300..." Omega was rapidly counting off after each half minute or so.
"Shadow and I are the fastest here." Sonic boasted. He knew I always gave him a run for his...chilidogs. I would beat him one day.
"225...200...175...150..." Omega continued, stopping his talk to allow them to speak. Snow behind to lightly fall.
"Slow down some...Omega isn't exactly light as a feather." Blaze complained and we all had to slow our speed. I hate being held back.
"75....50...25...Destination reached." Omega announced. We had slowly decreased our speed until we could stop without harming anyone.
There was a huge steel structure with many lights visible in the distance on our left and a crystal like city on our right. What was odd is that the steel structure had black alien features growing all over it.
I could feel the anger well up at the sight of the black alien landmarks. I hated Black Doom for putting my promise in jeopardy. My fists were clenched and I felt my chaos drive rise...with hate.
"Shadow...you alright, buddy." Sonic asked.
"Yea, you don't look too good." Knuckles agreed.
"You're shaking." Twilight spoke the obvious.
Red waves started to pass through my body and quills at a slow speed.
"Rrrrraah, I'm going to murder him into the next universe." I spoke with a dark hateful tone.
"Shadow, just calm down." Rouge said.
"It would be wise to follow the advise." Omega tried to help.
I rushed up to the steel structure and ripped the parts of robots into the scrap metal they were. I charged a huge chaos spear in my right hand and blew the door into tiny shrapnel, leaving a huge entry.
"Shadow! Wait!" Espio yelled in a whispy voice.
The other were quickly running to behind me as I raced through the fortress, blasting robots and aliens apart with infinite chaos spears.
"Don't just stand there, you fools. GET HIIIIIM!" The Doctor yelled through an intercom and giant hammer wielding purple robots charged out of hallways toward me.
They surrounded me, mistake one.
"Chaos...." I whispered and slowly rose into the air as their hammers were deflected by my chaos energy.
The red waves on my quills flowed fast.
"Get back!" Silver shouted.
My friends ran from me, Sonic grabbing Twilight and rushing.
"BLAST!" I shouted as a red ball sprouted from me and grew, exploding the robots into pieces that were embedded into the walls.
I landed on my feet, my hate spree finished.
"What was that?!" Twilight asked as she ran to me with the others.
"That was chaos blast." I answered and continued walking through the fortress, taking a left,"Omega, follow and hand me my M4 and a chaos emerald." I commanded.
"Affirmative." Omega quickly caught up and handed me the purple chaos emerald and my M4.
I put the emerald away in my quills and switched the M4's safety off. I heard Sonic and the others walk off in other directions.
"Wait up." Twilight said to me and I kept walking at the same pace while Omega was beside me, making a digital map of the steel palace.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I'm scouting with you." She answered.
"Well, this isn't scouting much, I plan to destroy all the robots I can and kill all the aliens as well."
"Still, I'm sticking with you."
"Why?"
"Sonic said that you would keep me safe." I hated the words Twilight spouted.
"God damn it, faker." I spoke to myself and shook my head in frustration.
Now I'm stuck with a purple pony.
"I won't be much of a hassle." She said, obviously thinking I hated her.
"At least you are just as smart of smarter than Foxboy." I stated.
"What? Tails? I don't think I'm that smart." She was too modest.
"Bullshit, you must of had one hell of a scientific theory to drag my friends and me out of my birthday party in my world to here." I said, looking back at her.
"Yea...I did. I'm sorry for dragging you out of your birthday party. Happy birthday." Twilight spoke saddened.
"Actually, thanks for that. I hate parties." I corrected and looked forward, taking a left to another hall.
"Pinkie wouldn't like you much..."
"Who cares? I have much more important things to do."
"Right." Omega spoke and we turned down a hall to the right.
"Soooo....how did you get so much power?" Twilight asked.
"Well, crap. I was hoping you wouldn't ask that..."
"You don't have to answer it." Twilight was really trying to get on my good side.
She was a suck up, an ass-kisser.
I hate suck ups
"I might as well.You see, I was a cure for an uncurrable disease. I was created for the purpose of curing Maria at first. Then, my creator, Dr. Gerald Robotnik, told me through a message that I was to be Savior and Protector of the humans and the Space Colony ARK. I was given the name, The Ultimate Lifeform, though there was a prototype of me." I explained.
"So, you were created in a lab?" Twilight questioned to make sure she heard correctly.
"Yes, with help from Black Doom, Gerald created me, the cure for Maria's disease." I answered.
"I'm s-." Twilight was shushed by my hand rising as we all stopped and I raised my M4 to my shoulder.
I pointed to the ground, telling her and Omega to stay put.
I activated the red-dot targeting system and quietly stepped around the corner, hearing the chatter of two black aliens, clicking noises.
I smiled.
Hello, motherfuckers, and welcome to your full-paid trip to hell
I pulled the trigger and slowly spread my shots down the hallway, firing into three ground soldiers and behemoth.
"Eat lead!" I shouted as the ground soldiers fell, the behemoth breathing heavy, standing with its sword. My clip was empty.
I jumped high, over a sword sweep and homing attacked his head, after I flip kicked his jaw with my skates on.
He slammed back hard, dead, dark purple blood running from his jaw and head. The substance covered the walls, floor, and ground soldiers.
I looked behind me and saw Twilight gasping. Omega was clapping his metal hands.
I installed a humor, emotion, and friend chip in him so he could be a little alive.
"Thank you, thank you, you're all too much." I bowed, Omega laughing in a metal echo sound.
"You are...violent." Twilight said, astonished.
"Eh. Maybe I enjoy myself too much." I said, reloading the M4 with a clip from my quills. I handed the empty one to Omega and he started to reload it with bullets that were stored inside his chestplate.
"Hey, Shadow. I see you were first to kill some of them." Sonic stated down the hall and walked past the dead aliens to us, Knuckles and Tails following after.
"Who else?" I said and he chuckled a little.
"I have a good sized map recorded and it seems you do too." Tails spoke up.
"Does that mean we can blow this popsicle stand?" Knuckles asked.
"Yes, Knuckles....could you shut up for once." Sonic said, holding his hand to his head, shaking it.
"Grab the others, we'll be at Canterlot. Don't you dare die on me." I spoke to sonic and held the purple chaos emerald in my hand.
"It's me, Shadow. When have I ever failed?" Sonic joked.
"When you find a chilidog." I spoke and put the M4 in Omega's chestplate.
"That was once and I thought it was a stupid obvious fail prank by Knuckles, not a trap from Eggman." Sonic said.
Tails laughed. I did too, remembering that surprised face on Sonic's face when I found him locked in a cage.
A bright green light flashed and Twilight, Omega, and me were gone.
