Button didn't like her.He never had,and here she was, right next to him.He mumbled a humongonian curse under his breath.
"I just want her to go away,"he groaned,"and to never come back."He wished it constantly, but it never came true.He hated her to his core and her she was,right next to him.What next ?He asked himself.What next?
Sweetie Belle liked him.She always had, and here he was, right next to her.She mumbled a quick prayer for courage under her breath.What was she going to do? Her heart felt like it was about to explode. Finally the bell rang, and she walked over to him.
"Hey Button!"she said politely as possible.
"Hey Sweets,"he said rudely as possible.
" I was wondering if you'd like to go out tonight?"
Button couldn't believe it.His worst nightmare was coming true. What should h do?He didn't want her to cry.He'd look like a total jerk, so he manned up and said those three words he hated:
"Mom, I'll be fine, it's just a friend from school."
" Whether it's a friend from school or a rich mane from Manehattan , you still need to look presentable." said Button's mom rather irritated.
"But mom I don't like her!"said an equally irritated Button.
"If you didn't like her you wouldn't be going out with her would you?" Button sighed, his mom had pinned him, he was so conflicted, on one hoof;she was kinda cute, and on the other;she didn't play video games. Was that his only excuse for not liking her?Button didn't know anymore.
" Button!Your fillyfreind is here!"
"She's not my-uuurrrrgggghhhh!"
Sweetie Belle blushed. "Thank you for coming Button.I know how much you like to play your video games."
"No prob."said Button casually,"Where are we going?"
" You'll see"
As they neared their destination the smell of apples was all around, then Button found himself sniffing another scent something much more pleasant and fresh, and soon Button found his muzzle in Sweetie Belle's mane. Sweetie Belle, blushed and confused mumbled another prayer for courage. Soon they stopped altogether, Button sniffing away Sweetie Belle gently licked they side of his face.
Button woke up in a pleasant boutique he had seen in ponyville. He saw that Sweetie Belle was next to him, then he realized that he was in love, with the one he hated.
Button couldn't believe it. How? Where? When? Why? Did she slip something in his drink or food? Button was too young! Wasn't he? What would his mom say? What would his dad say? Button was scared, scared for his life. Just then, an equally confused and scared Sweetie Belle woke up. They were afraid of what people would say when they found out. Button and Sweetie Belle realized, nopony had to know.
" Good morning! How are you two lovebirds doing?"said a mare of canterlot stature.
"Good I guess."replied a less than awake Button Mash,upon which he received a punch in the fore-leg from Sweetie Belle.
" Well I'm glad to see your well rested,I have to run some errands, so you two stay here and chit-chat."said the mare of canterlot stature.
Button's heart dropped into his stomach. His mom was going to kill him,his friends at school were going to hate him,what was he gonna do?He was getting up from the table when Sweetie Belle's hoof grabbed his foreleg and spoke;"We won't listen to them."
Button knew what she was talking about and he liked that idea."Sweets?"
Button had gone to the old milkshake bar in ponyville when a sweet familiar voice called to him.
"Hey Button !"
"Hey Sweets! What are you doing here?"said a supprised Button Mash.
"Looking for you, silly! I've got something to show you!"Sweetie Belle grabbed him and ran off with him dragging behind. Eventually they arrived at sweet apple acres home of the cutie-mark-crusaders "This is the C.M.C.s' hideout I wanted you to see this so you know that you can always come here!"
"Wow this is amazing! How did you make all this?
"With some help from the apple family." Sweetie Belle replied triumphantly.
"I thought the C.M.C.s' were lame but this is awesome!"
"I know!"
"You guys have everything!"
"I know!"
"I think you're cu-"Button shoved his hoof in his mouth and blushed furiously.
"I think you're cute too." They lost themselves in each others' gaze ad locked lips.
The bell rang and Button rushed home. It was games night, time to have fun. When he got home however, some pony was there he recognized from school, Sweetie Belle, blechh Button couldn't stand her, and now she was in his house! Button muttered a homongonian curse and went to his room. Was he irritated when she came in his room and sat down next to him.
"Sooo ,how do you win this game?"
"You survive."
"Oh,"obviously the colt was not going to make conversation so Sweetie Belle left the room. What a dip Button was back then now, he was happier ,nicer and he had Sweetie Belle. The filly he had once hated was now his love, and he was the happiest colt on earth.
