Once there was a time before ponies, before Equestria, when horses were only mere animals. This was the age of the bipedal creatures, these were known as humans. Earth was different during this age, especially in the land of Japan. Japan was attacked by beasts known as monsters and even some were aliens. The humans that lived there had special weapons that were used to destroy these beasts. some of these weapons mimicked monsters and their unique powers, but no matter what they did though the beasts still came and destroyed the land and its inhabitants.There was one monster that fought back all the others because Japan was his territory, that monster was the king of all other monsters, his name ... is Godzilla.
This beast has faced many foes and won many battles, but he had only 2 children, one a boy that is learning to be like his father and another was never born, still in its egg waiting to hatch. Unfortunatly the unhatched egg was lost and was never found, waiting millions upon millions of years, still waiting to be hatched.
The egg was said to be purple with green spots, stuck in the hard rocks of a mountain. This creature will face many trials in its life and will face the facts that lay there ... if it is still alive. If it is still alive then it will have to learn to adapt to his environment and learn about who it is, and there will be secrets unlocked.
Spike, the most beloved and only baby dragon in Ponyville and Twilight Sparkle's number one assistant, was sound asleep, dreaming about his love, Rarity, along with chocolate and cotton candy. Spike was awoken by the smell of pancakes and followed the scent to the kitchen where Twilight Sparkle was indeed making pancakes.
Twilight noticed that Spike was up and just in time too, "Good morning Spike, you're just in time for breakfast."
Twilight had handed Spike his pancakes and served herself. Twilight was enjoying her breakfast, taking small bites while Spike stuffed his face, leaving him with a syrup mustache. This display made Twilight chuckle. Spike licked his delicious mustache clean off in one lick. Spike then went off doing his normal chores as Twilight continued her breakfast.
Spike had first dusted some books, but something pink mysteriously moved quickly into the basement, but Spike was too busy. Next came sweeping the floor, which would've been a breeze until a cyan colored blur flew past Spike and quickly headed for the basement, leaving Spike with fallen books and a whole bunch of dust. Spike groaned as he quickly took the books and re-shelved them, one by one, which took about 37 minutes or so. Then came the dishes, which were not that much. Spike washed all the plates with his tongue and placed them back in the drawers, but thus letting three more colored blurs, one white, one orange, and the last yellow, to enter the basement with the other two.
Spike then re-entered the living room of the library, with a more better broom, and swept the library and for extra measures he did it again, taking him almost an hour. Spike, now finished with chores, was bored and so made a miniature model of Ponyville with books. It was a marvelous sight, which made Spike zone out as images went through his head ... images of Japan and these creatures and fire and buildings collapsing and a mighty roar was heard sounding like a huge gate creaking open. This tempted Spike to go to his model and turn into a different shade of color, like if his scales turned over to reveal a gray coloring. Spike took his fist and smashed a building down, it felt easy... it felt good. Spike, now the color grey, was breaking his model one by one. When Twilight opened the door Spike snapped out of his trance turning back into his purple and green self again, all back to normal.
"Spike I need you to ... what are you doing?" asked Twilight, seeing Spike with a whole bunch of books all on the ground.
Spike didn't even knew what was happening either, "I ... I don't know. I'll clean it up though."
Spike then took the books and put them back to their correct spots on the shelves. Twilight was still curious, 'what was Spike doing with those books'? Spike came back to wonder what Twilight might need.
Twilight approached Spike and told him, "Spike, I need you to pick up three things for me, but you cannot look at them, they are for a special occasion."
Spike shook his head. Twilight then gave him a list for three things, but one was not really listed, it was a location.
Twilight saw the look on Spike's face when he read that part, "The location part should be last, ok Spike."
Spike nodded and left to retrieve the items in question. Twilight then whistled as soon as she was certain that Spike was gone and five figures emerged from the basement, each carrying a party supply. the figures were none other than Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and the party pony herself Pinkie Pie.
"Ok, we gotta set this up before Spike gets back or else it'll be ruined. Now Applejack I need you to-" started Twilight. She told her plan and everypony got to work.
Spike headed towards Zecora's hut in the Everfree forest, which was the scariest forest in Equestria. Spike looked at the list and back at the hut that was in his sights. Spike then came up to the door and knocked on it. Zecora answered the door and she looked tired looking.
"Whoa, what's going on Zecora, feeling under the weather?" asked Spike.
Zecora looked at Spike in confusion, "Oh hello Spike, I did not expect you here. I thought Twilight would see me, an ancient evil approaches I fear. Come in, come in, before it arrives. we must stop it before it takes more lives."
Spike didn't know what to say, he still had Twilight's chores, "I'm sorry Zecora, but I got a list from Twilight, but I'll go get her as soon as possible, besides I bet you need magic and I'm a dragon."
Zecora looked at Spike with a very serious face, "Do you want to end all life? I just need you to hold this knife. Then while I use the spell, you will give your blood inside the bell."
Zecora shoved Spike inside the hut and slammed the door. She then showed Spike the bell where he had to give his blood. Spike actually didn't want to do this, it sounded crazy to him.
Spike held the knife, "Uh, what evil is it? Changelings? Discord? Shadows?"
Zecora had forgot to mention the evil, "Ah yes, the evil at hand, it is actually a band."
"Huh?" Spike was now confused, "A band? you mean like a group of them?"
Zecora sighed, "Yes Spike, a group of beasts, but they are just the least. There is one that is the best in "the ring", he is the mightiest, the king. That is why we must stop them, before Equestria is gone, condemn."
Spike was thinking that Zecora might be a little sick and that it is affecting her mind, but he went with it. Spike took the knife and put it in position on the left arm as Zecora chanted. When it was time Spike cut himself, but by doing so it sent Spike images from before, Japan. It was different, a little more clearer, a dragon ... no, a monster was stood in Japan, destroying Japan. It was destroying everything with its blue fire, roaring as it wore an angry look. The creatures from before were running on two legs, away from the monstrosity.
"Spike?" asked a voice, but Spike ignored it.
"Spike." the voice said again, but more worried. Spike kept on ignoring until
"SPIKE!!!" the voice was more familiar, it almost sounded like
"Twilight?" Spike awokened, apparently in a hospital. Spike was confused, why was he in a hospital?
"Spike, are you ok? are you hurt? i was so worried, what were you doing?" Twilight asked about a million questions until Celestia came in.
"Calm down Twilight, let him breathe. I know you're worried and want to ask him a million questions, but he just woke up and who knows maybe it was traumatizing." Celestia tried to calm Twilight down, which worked.
Spike was a little fuzzy around the edges, but he indeed remembered, "Actually it wasn't traumatizing, I was helping Zecora and she needed a little bit of my blood so I gave it to her and then I guess I passed out."
Before anypony or dragon could say another word, a pink tornado of worriedness came swooping by and hugged Spike tight, "OhSpikeareyouok?Weweresoworried,areyoufine?ok?feelingbetter?" It was none other than Pinkie Pie.
Spike actually felt fine and didn't know why he WAS in a hospital instead in the library, it was only fainting ... probably.
Celestia saw this and tried to explain, "Spike, I know you're wondering why you're here. We weren't the ones who brought you here, it was Zecora. She feared that you might have been sincerely injured by a certain spell that you two did. She said something about you turning Grey and ... your ears were extremely small. You also roared a little bit like a monster that she feared, a monster that is ancient. Also, happy birthday Spike."
Zecora was at her hut, cursing herself for putting Spike in possible danger, "Oh how could the spell not work, now I feel like a jerk. You foretold of danger even though you are a complete stranger. I see your facts, yes I do, but why am I doing the spell, not you?"
A figure was sitting there on the ground for if he stood up then he would touch the ceiling or even break it. That figure looked like a hairless ape to Zecora with hair on his head and lips aka a mustache, he was wearing a Japanese general uniform aka a human, "I am not foreign to this future, I thought that my kind would live through any obstacle in our way. Besides we don't really use magic, we thought that magic was fake. What I have is an AK-47, a bazooka, two Desert Eagle, twenty hand grenades, and lots of ammo, these are called guns and some bombs so I can't help you."
Zecora was surprised and furious, "So that's why, you don't 'believe' in magic, well start believing and help me. Nopony never heard me not rhyme and I rhyme all the time, this shows my fury. Stop being lazy and help me or else I kick you out with my own magic."
The human was offended, "Hey now, I am not into the voodoo magic that you do, I use weapons, I am a general that stops monsters, not stupid pony nightmares or freaks of nature. Also Zebra's aren't this smart in the past, they are actually simple minded."
Zecora looked the human right in his eyes, now on fire with anger, but before she could do anything the bell rang.
RING
The two looked at the bell in curiosity for the bell was never touched, not even a fallen leaf was seen. Zecora walked slowly towards the bell as the general crawled toward it.
The human was confused, "How did it ring witho-"
RING
The bell rang again, disrupting his question, but this time louder and stronger, making Zecora's mane and the human's hair blow back.
RING
The bell was now louder and stronger, the force actually pushed Zecora off her hooves, sending her flying back hitting the human thus knocking him down too.
RING
The bell emanated a green mist and powerful magic, dark AND light mixed together. The mist covered the hut, blinding the two beings, but the mist kept growing, towards all of Ponyville, then three other cities, then it took all of Equestria, then the whole west side of Earth, and lastly the whole planet, all this was pretty fast for some reason. All of the creatures only felt a little pain in the head, like a headache, then the mist disappeared just as fast as it came.
Back at Zecora's hut the bell came crashing down, meeting the cold, hard floor, breaking and spilling the ingredients from it. Zecora was horrified, she didn't know what happened but it was gonna be something bad. Zecora thought 'What happened? Did I do that or was it something wrong with the bell?'. The human stood on his knees and was also wearing a nervous face, "What have we done?"
In the hospital where Spike reside, sleeping sound asleep,but Spike felt shivers as the spell went over him. He didn't feel any pain though, just visions of Japan again, but happy ones, with everything happy and going without danger. Twilight was there too, but she looked worried, looking straight at Spike. Spike didn't know why until he looked at himself, he was grey-ish color and all different, his claws were white and sharpened, his snout was more sticking-out like, and his thighs were all huge, and to top it off his tail had lost its spiky end, it was just flat tail. Spike also noticed his ears were smaller and that his spikes on his back were not roundish, but pointy-ish, like knifes, Spike also stood taller and straighter.
Twilight ran up to him, speaking all garbled. Spike tried to understand, "Twilight, I can't understand you. Twi stop talking for a moment."
Then everything except Spike was gone. Spike was scared, "Hello? Twilight? Where is everypony?"
Just then a changeling about the size of Celestia came forth with the same fear as Spike, it was Queen Chrysalis, but there was more creatures coming. Spike saw many creatures like a diamond dog, a phoenix, a hydra, Gummy, ect., all in fear.
Spike was the first to speak, "Hello, I am Spike, why are you guys here?"
Chrysalis was the next to speak, "I am Chrysalis, queen of the changelings, and I was sound asleep in a dream until I was put here with you lowlifes."
All the monsters and creatures mumbled in agreement until they heard the word "lowlifes", they were offended. The diamond dog walked closer to Spike, looking at him with squinting eyes, trying to remember who Spike was, "Were you the dragon that fought for that evil whining unicorn, Rarity I think was the name? I am named Rover."
Spike now remembered who the diamond dog was and was about to pull out his fist until
RING
The bell was sounded and every creature was sent back into their little dream lands, but remembering the faces of each other.
Back at Zecora's hut the creature was helping Zecora pick up the broken bell pieces, "Well Zecora, looks like the human broom IS helpful after all."
Zecora was not amused, he was lazy even though he was a general, "Why are you so lazy, is your mind all hazy? I remembered when generals had protocols, even followed every law."
The human was wearing a serious poker face, still in thought, 'I think that Spike might be more of a threat than I thought, this didn't happen when I put MY blood in that bell.' Zecora smacked the general in the head, "HEY, WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?"
Zecora was super angry, she couldn't hold her anger any longer, "YOU ARE A GOOD FOR NOTHING LOUSY DEADBEAT THAT IS ABOUT TO HAVE A BLACK EYE AND A COUPLE TEETH MISSING!!!!!"
The general had gotten the hint, "Ok then, I guess I'll leave you alone and leave Equestria and probably the world in your hands and it will end in chaos and destruction."
The human left the hut and instead of entering Ponyville he went into the forest with his sword in hand. Zecora was still trying to cool down, she never yelled at anypony like that before let alone an endangered human.
In the forest a young pony couple were in their little sight-seeing honey moon.
"So Caramel, what are we gonna do next?" asked the mare.
"Well I don't know Colgate, maybe we can go over to the old lake, I heard there is an octopus there." answered Caramel.
Colgate heard rustling in the bushes and was scared, she huddled close to Caramel. He chuckled, "Don't worry, we're far away from any predators, probably just a cute li-"
A giant bug creature came out of the bushes, cutting off Caramel's sentence. It looked like a huge dragon fly and was about the size of the ponies if not bigger. Caramel and Colgate screamed as the creature launched itself at them.
The insect beast was charging at the pony couple, having its tail raised. The insect was aiming at Colgate, but Caramel saw this and pushed her out of the way and getting stabbed instead. The tail had stabbed the stallion in the stomach and adding the force that the insect had built-up had pinned Caramel to a tree, "Ru-run Co-Colga-gate."
Colgate did as she was told and ran, screaming, towards Ponyville. The insect had not noticed though since its focus was on Caramel. The tail was sucking something up, some kind of energy from Caramel. In thirty seconds Caramel was nothing but ashes and the insect was still hungry for energy.
Colgate ran and ran, crying for the loss of her love. She was tired out though and had to rest near a tree, hiding from the creature if it was hunting her down. "Why did Caramel have to die? What was that thing? Why did it attack us? Ohhhh why?" Colgate asked to herself, crying in her hooves.
"What did the 'thing' look like?"
Colgate had looked up to see a dressed-up ape in front of her, having a sword in hand.
"I repeat, what did the thing look like?" asked the ape.
Colgate had sniffled, trying to fight back any more tears to speak, "I-it lo-loo-looked like a-a-a g-g-g-giant d-dragonfly, about th-th-the size of a re-re-re-regular pony i-if not b-b-b-bigger."
The ape knew what the creature was, "Miss, go back to town and warn everyo- I mean every 'pony' to stay inside and lock everything, we have a Meganula on our ... hooves. It is very carnivorous and they stay in groups so tell them to be extra careful."
Colgate understood the situation and ran off to Ponyville, still mourning for her lost coltfriend. As for the ape with clothes, or the general, he had some important business with a Meganula. He walked towards the direction that Colgate was running away from and the Meganulat was on the same trail, but backwards. The general had readied his sword, wanting a fight since all there was in Equestria was either friendship or stupid, easy beasts. The Meganula was flying up in the air, near the trees for camouflage.
The general had reached a point where he just had to stop, hearing flittering noises, wings beating fast. He looked up in the air to see nothing but trees, only trees. He looked up there for a tiny sign to notify the Meganula, but none came. When the general finally raised his head down towards the path the Meganula was in his face.
"Aw cra-" The general started to say, but the Meganula tackled him to the ground, trying its best to stab him. The general blocked left, then right, then right again as the tail kept swinging towards his face. The general kept blocking until he found an opening to get the insect off, kicking the beast in the stomach and pushing it at a near tree, making a huge thud noise. The insect had lost its sight for a moment before shaking its head and flying up in the air. The general had gotten up to his feat and was looking for his sword, which was seven feet behind him. The insect tackled again, but this time the general had dodged the attack and leaped for his sword. The Meganula quickly used its tail to grab the general's leg and pulled him towards it. The Meganula was now furious and was about to stab the general. The human turned to face the Meganula with a shotgun and quickly shot the tail clean off, sending pain to the insect. The creature screeched so loud in pain that it almost made the general's ears bleed, sending a signal to all the other Meganula's that were out there. The general cocked the gun and shot the Meganula's head, ending its life.
"Well that fight was a little disappointing, I thought it would be a little longer and the bug would almost kill me, but this was pathetic. Did the monsters loose their killing touch or what?" asked the general, talking to himself. He was walking back to Ponyville until the Meganula that he killed had glowed, making the general look back and watch as to see what was happening. The Meganula had turned into ... a changeling. The changeling, however, was still dead.
"So, who are you and what did you do to Chad?"
The general turned his head to see another changeling, but this one looked freightened and mad at the same time, "Look missy, this thing is not your 'Chad', but a deadly Kaiju that would have killed millions of innocent creatures, including you. Now why are you here anyways, aren't changelings evil and hate Equestria?"
The changeling was about to say something until a huge sound was heard, a roar. The sound was very near and the general knew this beast too. Out of nowhere a spiky ball came out of the bushes and stopped between the human and insect pony, unrolling itself to reveal
"Anguirus." said the general in shock. The great armadillo beast rolled back into a ball and rolled away towards Ponyville hospital where Spike resided.
The changeling was now scared and confused, "WHAT IN TARTURAS WAS THAT?"
The general wasn't in the mood to answer any questions, the kaiju were returning and he had to stop them before the whole world was put into chaos and destruction and it would be worse than Discord's normal chaos. In the dirt area outside of Ponyville, the diamond dogs were fighting a giant dog beast, mostly known as King Ceasar. The kaiju had beaten most of the guards and was trying to leave, but the diamond dogs were determined to keep the beast down there in the underground tunnels. In Canterlot castle at Celestia's bed chamber, Celestia's pet phoenix , Philomeana, was sound asleep, but the spell had made the bird glow, turning it into Rodan, the flying pterodactyl kaiju. The flying devil had flown out the window, also breaking it, and into the skies of Equestria. In the changeling Empire all the changelings were glowing and turned to Meganula's, not shape-shifting at all. The queen, however, was not glowing and was somehow resisting the spell. In Sugarcube Corner in Pinkie's room, Gummy was fast asleep, but was soon engulfed in light, like the glowing that was happening, and was turned into ... The American Godzilla, or as I like to call it, Zilla. Everywhere certain types of creatures were turned into some kind of kaiju, like a hydra was turned into King Ghidorah, actually the hydra is in Japan and that was the only hydra there WITH three heads. now it was, how you say, "terror time again" *laughs at own joke*.
The armadillo beast known as Anguirus was kinda lost trying to find the hospital since it was knew to Ponyville and it never made it to the town. All of the beasts were trying to find the king of the kaiju who was somewhere in the world.
Spike had awoken from his sleep, bags under his eyes. He couldn't really sleep last night due to all the weird, and in his opinion, stupid noises out in the Everfree forest. Spike yawned, stretching his arms in the air. Spike was surprised that he was in a hospital bed, not to mention a hospital. He had forgotten what happened from the day before and didn't know why he was even at the hospital. Spike had hopped off his bed and had nicely folded his hospital gown after taking it off, leaving it on the bed. When the young dragon had entered the hallways he noticed that everything was like a ghost town, all quiet, but not abandoned at least. Spike thus makes it his goal to get out of here. Little does he know about himself, something is awfully different. was he always that grey?
Pinkie Pie awoken expecting to be besides her greatest pal/pet Gummy ... except he wasn't there. "Hey, where's Gummy? And where did this huge hole come from?"
Pinkie's room had 2/3 of the wall missing and on her floor was a giant footprint. "Hey, where did this footprint come from?"
Applejack had awoken just before it hit 7:00 and had quickly gotten ready to buck some apples.
"Ok, first buck the north orchards then the east and th-" Applejack was listing her daily plans when a horrific sight was beheld to the young orange mare, all the orchards, even the west field, were totally destroyed, every tree smashed to the ground, some that stood had claw marks on 'em, even the apples were nothing but mush. What had done this?
Rainbow Dash was practicing her flying to impress the Wonder Bolts, flying through an obstacle of rainclouds and using her top speed. "Just ... One ... More ..." Grunted Dash as she was at her fastest, trying to beat her last time of 11 seconds. Just then something flew over and past Rainbow Dash at a greater speed, making Rainbow Dash spin out of control. The thing looked like a huge ball, but Rainbow Dash looked even closer, "A turtle shell shooting fire from all 4 leg openings? What?"
The huge turtle shell had roared as it flew away to the everfree. All Rainbow Dash was thinking was What in Tartarus WAS that thing?
Fluttershy was hiding in her room, afraid of what was outside. "Calm down Fluttershy, everything is ALL right, there is no huge monsters outside and there is definitely NOT pony-eating creatures either," Fluttershy was reassuring herself.
Just outside was a huge rainbow-winged Moth and a really scary-looking black moth just outside waiting for their friend Fluttershy. The rainbow-winged moth had flown to Fluttershy's window and saw Fluttershy scared. Feeling sorry for the yellow pegasus and being her friend It flew down to the scary-looking moth and had told it that they were scaring her and that they should leave her alone for now. The black one agreed and they flew off into the everfree.
The diamond dogs were beaten and the huge dog monster had broken through the surface. Just like all the other monsters the beast had headed for the everfree forest for some odd reason.
Zecora had opened her eyes, hearing weird noises ... or were they roars? Zecora had felt bad since last night for driving that human away, and she had never cracked like that. She had gotten out of bed and took some time to stretch her hooves, but she felt like something was watching her. Very carefully and cautiously Zecora quickly ducked down and slowly crawled towards her window, where she heard ... fluttering?
Zecora didn't want to see for if she did she thought that it might slice her head off. She took a mask and attached it to a broom quietly and quickly, making a head and a neck to see if the creature was vicious and if there was a creature out there. When Zecora had raised the broom up with the mask it was stabbed with a tail, a spiky, black, pointy tail that had a stinger on it. The creature pulled its tail and releasing the broom out of Zecora's firm grip, trying to suck up the energy in it. Zecora stayed away from the creatures sight right inside her hut, but the tail was exactly like what the human had talked about, a Meganula's tail.
"What is a Meganula doing here? A creature like that means that many are near," Zecora panicked, "This is bad, this is very bad, these things might destroy Ponyville. If they aren't stop now then they will kill."
The Meganula was shredding the broom apart in search of energy, but all it got was the energy of useless wood. The bug creature used its tail to throw the dummy and flew off in search of useful energy to absorb. Once the coast was clear Zecora quickly closed and locked everything from her windows to her door to make sure nothing came in. Zecora though was outside the safety of her home to warn the rest of Ponyville if not all of Equestria.
Somewhere deep within the Everfree forest was Chrysalis, looking awfully tired from flying away from what used to be her subjects, her kingdom fallen to the monsterous Meganula. She was limping towards nowhere in particular, just somewhere away from those creatures. What she didn't know was that she was being followed by the very beast that she was running from, but its eyes, if they could be seen, didn't look at her with hunger, but with a serious look like a guard watching his ... queen. The Meganula quickly flew up in the trees to avoid being seen as to not provoke Chrysalis, keeping its eye on the insect-like pony.
Celestia was awoken to a loud noise of a wall breaking last night and had seen that her balcony had broken off, not to mention the wall was also broken. Celestia thus ordered the guards to not only be cautious, but to also see if anything was out of the ordinary. Celestia had some other worries too, she wanted to see if her sister Luna was alright and quickly ran towards her room. When Celestia was near the doors of her dear sisters room, she saw that the hallway was smashed, broken, and also burnt with flames scorching the air, a huge hole on the right side wall. It was as if a huge creature made of fire had tried to gain entrance inside the palace through here. When Celestia looked towards the doors to Luna's room, she saw that it was gone. Worried for her sister, Celestia went in, and saw that almost the whole place was gone. Where is Luna and what did this?
Up at the frozen North a creature with a crystal lined back was just underneath the Crystal Empire, filling itself with, well, crystals. Suddenly the beast felt different even though it has always been in this crystal cave its whole life. The beast felt ... stronger, faster, and more vicious, more like its ancestors. The beast roared and dug under the under earth that it was in and had a new mission to fulfill ... eliminate Spike.
Twilight was sound asleep, enjoying her little dream. It seemed like everything was peaceful, nothing could wake her up.
"TWILIGHT! TWIIIIIIILIIIIIGGHHT!" Screamed what sounded like Rainbow Dash. Eh, probably still dreaming, thought Twilight as she quickly went back to sleep.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"TWILIIIIIIIIGHT!"
"TWILIGHT?"
"WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!"
It wasn't just one pony, it was three. It sounded like Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie. Twilight grumbled under her breath and slowly and messily got up from her cozy bed, heading towards her door. When Twilight finally got there, the door broke, flattening Twilight as Pinkie Pie barged into the library.
"TWILIIIIIGHT, TWILIIIIIGHT!!!!" WHERE ARE YOU?" screamed Pinkie Pie, wearing a worried look on her face. The other two ponies hurriedly went inside, also searching for Twilight. Twilight groaned from under the broken-down door, gathering the three's attention.
When Rainbow Dash and Applejack had lifted the door, they found Twilight, all smashed and dazed from the door, "Did anypony catch the number of that bus?"
Everypony laughed except for Twilight, still all fuzzy on what happened. Applejack had grabbed Twilight's hoof and pulled her up from the floor, "You al'right sugarcube?"
Twilight had finally gathered her thoughts and was wide awake now, "Yeah, yeah, I'm ok. Pinkie, next time you got something important to ask me please just wait a moment."
Pinkie Pie nodded.
Twilight had something in mind, as did the other three ponies, "So, what was it you all had to tell me?"
All three ponies had opened their mouths, gasping air in to explain their dilemma, but before any of them could speak or release the air that they had breathed in, Twilight has raised her hoof, "Bup bup bup bup, one at a time. Applejack you first, then Rainbow Dash and finally Pinkie."
The three grunted in agreement and Applejack took a couple of steps forward to speak, "Well Twilight, my orchards, all of them, were destroyed and smushed, the trees that were left standing were clawed. I don't know what kind of varmint did this, but I'm sure it ain't friendly."
Twilight as well as the others gasped in horror, especially Rainbow Dash, "WAIT, you mean ... no apple cider? NOOOOOOOO," cried Rainbow Dash, "what kind of monster would do such a thing?"
Twilight had a couple of ideas, but they all lead to a dead end, If it was a dragon then we would have heard or at least seen it. If it was timber wolves well ... they don't really like apples. If it was the parasprites then what about the claw marks. Hmm, maybe ...
Twilight was deep in thought, scaring the group a little, so Rainbow Dash had to take action, besides it was her turn to explain her problem, "TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIILIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!! SNAP OUT OF IT, YOU'RE SCARING THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF US."
Twilight had been broken from her trance as she was snapped back to reality, "GAH! Oh," Twilight blushed slightly from getting distracted so easily. Twilight giggled slightly and said, "Sorry. So Rainbow Dash, it's your turn to tell me your problem."
Rainbow Dash had cracked her hooves as she was about to tell them her story, "It all started when I was practicing my awesome flying skills, everyone knows that I really really really REALLY want to be in the Wonderbolts. But this time however, I pushed my limits to unexpected lengths, I was swooping through my home-made obstacles and was about to break my record of 10 seconds and wanted to go for 5. Then this huge pony-sized, if not bigger, tortoise shell without the tortoise and had fire coming out of the 4 leg holes flew by and roared, flying faster than me. If it was paying attention to me then it might have killed me or something, I'm lucky to be out of its vision."
Everypony in the room stood silent, even Pinkie Pie, which was unusual of her to do so. Twilight couldn't even believe all this, first all the orchards were smashed plus claw marks, then a huge tortoise shell with flames that could fly, what next?
Pinkie jumped up and down, up and down, ohh-ing to Twilight, "Twilight it's my turn now. It's about Gummy, he's missing and most of my room had vanished or turn invisible or something and a HUUUGE footprint was in the middle of my floor."
Now twilight was REALLY in a pickle, now adding a missing alligator with no teeth and a smashed room with a weird footprint on the floor to the list of crazy things that she had just heard ... at least the alligator thing makes sense.
Twilight couldn't think straight, but if this triple mystery isn't solved then things were just going to be worse. Twilight finally thought out a plan and opened her mouth to reply when Zecora, all out of breathe, entered the library and spoke, "Twilight *gasp* come quick, there is no time to loose. If we don't hurry soon then we must vamoose. There are creatures, Meganula, far deadlier than the old, all vicious and quick and hearts that are cold. They sore through the sky, making everything it's prey. If we don't do something they we will all pay."
Twilight's mind was now undergoing a meltdown, her mind couldn't comprehend all of these weird situations and problems all at once, Just once can problems like these just happen at most once a week? Now what am I gonna do, Meganula's, giant flying shells, a giant creature, and a smashed and clawed orchard. Why is this happening so fast? Why can't life just give me a break?
In reality, everypony and every zebra was seeing crazy Twilight mode. Twilight was speaking gibberish, jittering, wobbling her lips with her hoof, scraping her flank on the ground like a dog, and she even had her crazy look from episode 3, season 2.
Zecora felt concerned about Twilight and had the feeling that she and the other trio had something to do with it, "Uhh girls, I think we should leave. Twilight is unstable, that is what I believe." The group had left Twilight alone for a little before talking to her, that was a good bet. Twilight was still in her crazy mode right in the living room.
After searching for about 20 minutes, Spike had finally found his way to an exit. Now he could finally leave this creepy hospital he was trapped in. Once out Spike had only one thing in mind, I gotta get home to Twilight. Spike was about to take another step when something hit him, but where is home?
Spike looked around and saw nothing but trees, the hospital that he had just come out of, a wheelchair that was abandoned, and a yellow road that lead to two ways, left and right. Spike was confused, which one lead back home?
"I say if you can't decide with your eyes then decide with your nose, you can smell the fish and the ocean, the sweet sweet smell of the ocean", Spike had heard. He soon turned his head around to see nopony, nopony at all. Spike was confused, If nopony was there then ... who said that? It couldn't be my subconscious because it sounded so .. deep and scratchy.
Spike shook the thought out as he sniffed the air and he did smell something, but it was no ocean. He sniffed a sweet scent, candy, cake, and so much more covered in gems coming from the left road. Spike knew that it could only be the work of Sugarcube Corner and its delicious sweets and followed the road where the scent lead. On the right path way past the trees was Ponyville and West from that was a cloud of black was heading its way towards the town. Up in the air something fluttering was watching our Spike, wondering How in the world is the son of my most hated enemy so small after all these years?
"I need to find shelter, but where?" gasped Chrysalis, all out of breathe. She had been galloping for a couple days now, away from a certain Meganula. Said Meganula was right behind a bush watching Chrysalis talk to herself, it made itself worried. Chrysalis, after a couple days of nonstop running, sleep deprived, and hungry, not to mention dehydrated, finally collapsed on the ground, sleeping. The Meganula had seen this and slowly went towards her. When it finally reached her it stretched its wings and stretched its tail, wrapping its wing over the changeling queen and its tail around her to pull her closer.
Spike had walked for three minutes and he had already walked so far, the smell of sweets was getting stronger with every step. "Ok delicious gem-covered sweets, I'm almost there to eat you up," said Spike, hunger-crazed. The road was cut off by a bush, trees covering the sight of the other side. Spike knew he was so close that he ran towards his destination. After breaking every bush in his way he had finally made it, but to only find a lake.
"A lake? B-but where's Ponyville, where's the gems? I-if Ponyville isn't here then ... then what made that smell?" wondered Spike.
"It's the sweet aqua world, why don't you go for a swim?" suggested the voice that had talked to Spike earlier. Spike turned to see yet again nopony.
"AW COME ON, WHO ARE YOU????" Spike yelled to the heavens.
"Well I'm here of course, in the water. I can see you, but you can't see me," explained the bodyless voice.
Spike looked at the water, but no one was there, only his reflection. "Well apparently you sir are either a liar or a psychopath," Spike said to his own reflection. Suddenly a tail rose from the water and grabbed Spike, pulling him in. Spike had screamed his lungs out, but nevertheless he was pulled right in. The creature in the air gasped, NOOOO, ZILLLLLLLAAA!!!!!
Chapter 7: The pretender to the thrown vs. the protector of Earth
Spike couldn't breathe; his lungs were carrying too much water as the figure that pulled him in continued in drowning him. Spike could only think of one thing, Twilight ...
"What!!!! Come on Godzilla, I thought you could swim, I thought you were the great king of monsters," the figure smirked, "You grew weaker didn't you? HA, pathetic. This proves that I'm the better Zilla."
Spike couldn't reply back for he couldn't breathe water nor speak in it, he was full of fear. Who is he? Who is Godzilla? Why is he trying to drown me? Wait, did he speak in water?
The figure looked reptilian and dinosaur looking, not to mention huge, "Come on Godzilla, don't you remember me? It's me, the American Godzilla and king of all monsters. You, my little pretender, are the Japanese Godzilla and my enemy. You are gonna die kiddo." The American Godzilla laughed, all wickedly with a creepy smile.
Spike couldn't hold on anymore, he was going to die now without saying goodbye to his friends or Twilight, it was all over. Spike let out one final gasp as he closed his eyes, everything went black and he was about to pass out, about to enter heaven. Suddenly his lungs were filled with fresh air, not in the water that he resided before. Spike opened his eyes and saw the lake and the forest; he was high up in the air. He hadn't realized it but something was holding on to Spike. Spike turned to see a huge moth with rainbow-colored wings, blue crystal eyes, and pincers. Spike felt yet again fear and tried to kick and scream.
The moth was losing her grip and tried to calm Spike down, "Whoa, whoa, hold on there Zilla, it's ok, I'm friendly. I am Mothra and your father's old friend." Spike, after hearing all this, still continued to kick. Mothra sighed, "And I also saved your life"
Spike had stopped screaming and kicking, the moth creature is right, she did save me. A roar had brought Spike's and Mothra's attention to the lake, where a ticked off overgrown lizard once lied.
"HOW DARE YOU, YOU OVERGROWN MOTH!!!! BRING ME BACK THAT CHILD OR SO HELP ME YOU WILL BE NEXT TO KILL ON MY LIST!!!!" roared an angry American Godzilla.
Mothra knew that he was being serious and that he was to kill Spike so she had only one thing to do, "Well then, you're going to have to get through me if you want Zilla."
Spike was a little mad himself for one reason only, "WILL YOU STOP CALLING ME ZILLA AND GODZILLA, MY NAME IS SPIKE!!!!"
Mothra landed 5 feet away from the lake and dropped off Spike, flying back in the air. The American Godzilla was smiling, "HA HA, like killing two birds with one stone." Zilla (American Godzilla) stood out of the lake and roared. The fight had begun.
Mothra charged at Zilla with great speed, but Zilla was quicker as he moved out of Mothra's way. Mothra swooped back into the air and was ready for another charge. Zilla wouldn't allow it though and charged up his special power, blowing green fire at Mothra. Mothra dodged his attack, but Zilla kept shooting the sky to hit his target. Mothra used her mystic powers and shot some energy at Zilla, minorly injuring him. Zilla growled in anger, "Is that all you got?"
Zilla roared and dived into the water, going all the way at the bottom. Mothra couldn't see where he went, the water's shine blinding her sight. Right behind her Zilla had emerged and jumped high in the air. Mothra was too late as Zilla hopped onto her back, digging his claws into her wings and pulling her down with his weight. Mothra and Zilla crashed into the lake, Zilla still holding onto Mothra. Mothra used all her might to pry Zilla off of her, but Zilla was too strong, Mothra was about to lose.
Spike knew that Zilla had a bigger advantage against Mothra due to her being an insect and the battle was taking place near water, so he had to help her. Spike closed his eyes and hopped into the water where the battle was commencing. Spike opened his eyes and, unlike last time which was all blurred, could see underwater and saw Zilla over Mothra, drowning her like he did to Spike only more painful. Spike was full of fear yet again, but this time worry over his moth friend had taken over the fear and spike swam towards Zilla.
Zilla was too busy with Mothra that he hadn't noticed Spike coming near him. Zilla was about to blow Mothra's head off with his fire when he felt a bit of pain on his tail. "YEEEEOOOOOOOOOWWW." Zilla roared. He turned to see Spike nibbling on the lizard's tail. Zilla's face turned red with rage, "So you wanna join the fight do ya?"
Zilla fling Spike out of the water, Spike now tossed in the air. Zilla had dropped his grip on Mothra and headed to the surface. Spike screamed for a couple seconds until he hit the sandy beach with his face. Zilla surfaced and started to walk towards the baby dragon, face showing his rage, "YOU HAVE THE GAUL TO FACE ME. I AM ZILLA, THE KING OF MONSTERS AND YOU ARE A LOW-LIFE P-"
Zilla's speech was cut off as his face was getting burned by Spike. Zilla couldn't speak, only growl. Even though his fire stopped the speech, Spike's green dragon fire couldn't even hurt him, Spike was scared to his wits. Zilla took a step back, launching himself towards Spike with full-on rage, roaring to the heavens as loud as he could. Spike couldn't think, he couldn't even move. Zilla was so close, it seemed as if nothing could stop this behemoth, until Spike screamed, "NOOOOOOO!!!!" As Spike yelled he also shot a radioactive beam of blue fire at Zilla, burning him all into oblivion and dust. Spike opened his eyes to see a non-scary Gummy the toothless alligator sitting in the leftover dust, looking at Spike. Mothra emerged from the lake and was ready to attack when she saw only Spike and a pile of ash.
Spike stared at Gummy for a little bit before saying, "Gummy? This is weird."
