With the help of Angel Bunny will Fluttershy be able to talk to Rainbow Dash about her feelings?
Fluttershy's pet bunny Angel forces Fluttershy to confront Rainbow Dash about her feelings. Will sparkes fly or will this venture blow up in Fluttershy's face? Read it and find out silly!
Fluttershy was sitting in the living room of her cottage, peacefully reflecting back upon her day. She had spent her day with Rainbow Dash, her oldest and bestest of friends. First they had a picnic, then they flew together for a while, which Fluttershy wasn't to enthused about doing , but because it was with Rainbow Dash she could make an exception. Afterwards they walked and talked for what seemed like hours about nothing in particular. She didn't know why, but she couldn't get these thoughts out of her mind. Today was a perfect day to her. She was surprised that Dash flew with her since Dash was a speed demon and Fluttershy liked to fly slowly, so she could admire the beauty of the day and hopefully see one of animal friends.
It all seemed to good to be true, like a livid dream, but she knew that the events of today had actually happened. That it wasn't a dream. She began thinking about the picnic that Rainbow Dash had prepared for them, which was a pleasant surprise. It had all of Fluttershy's favorite foods, lily sandwiches, rosemary salad, lemon cupcake surprises from Sugarcube Corner, everything. She knew that Rainbow Dash wasn't to fond of these foods, which made Fluttershy wonder as to why Dash had brought them, but she just chalked it up to friend being nice.
"That smile that Dash had all day today. I wonder why she was so happy?", Fluttershy pondered out loud.
She closed her eyes and began thinking of Dash's smile. The why her nose wrinkled, the dimples on her cheeks, and that sparkle in her eye. Fluttershy thought very deeply on these things she ha noticed in her friend, and soon she had a very puzzling thought.
'Why am I blushing?'
She thought back to the little flight they had shared.
'Rainbow Dash's self control was astonishing during our flight together. She could've easily taken off and left me behind, but she stayed with me the entire time. Why?' , she pondered as she felt her cheeks get warmer.
'And the walk we took afterwards, Rainbow Dash never walks when she can fly. Why did she do all of these things with me?' Fluttershy asked herself as she allowed a small grin to appear on her face and a small chuckle escape her throat. Her cheeks felt like they were on fire by this point.
'My goodness I've never blushed like this before. Could it be that I...?'
Fluttershy cut her thought short and laughed a little.
"Rainbow Dash and myself, together?", Fluttershy asked into the darkness.
Suddenly she felt something hit her head. She looked down and she saw a small carrot.
"Oh I'm sorry Angel Bunny, are you hungry?", she asked the little rabbit who looked angry and was impatiently tapping his foot.
The rabbit crossed his paws, looked at her, and shook his head no.
"Then what is it Angel?" Fluttershy asked.
Angel using his paws made an outline of a heart, and pointed to a picture of Rainbow Dash that Fluttershy had on the mantle of the chimney. Fluttershy's blush grew even more red as she asked
Angel, "D...do you really think so Angel?"
The bunny nodded his head yes and recrossed his arms signifying, 'What are going to do about this?'
"Do you think I should go talk to Dash about this?" She inquired.
The bunny face-pawed and slowly shook his head yes.
"O...okay if you think its a good idea Angel."
Fluttershy slowly flew out the door, and began making her way to Rainbow Dash's home in the sky. She arrived at her friend's cloud house and knocked on the door.
"Just a sec!" was the response from inside the house.
After a minute or so the door opened and there stood Rainbow Dash.
"Oh! Hey, Fluttershy, come on in!", she said excitedly.
Fluttershy shyly walked into the house and was shown to the living room. "Would you like something to drink?", Rainbow Dash asked her friend.
"Oh n..no thank you, if that's okay with you.", she responded.
Rainbow Dash just shrugged off her friend's obvious shyness and asked, "So to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
Fluttershy cleared her throat and said very meekly, "I..I wanted to ask you s...some questions, if that's okay with you."
"Sure Fluttershy what's on your mind?"
Fluttershy couldn't help but blush as she thought of ways to ask Rainbow Dash her questions.
"Rainbow Dash, d..do you like me?"
"Well of course I do Shy! We're friends aren't we?", Dash answered with a large beaming smile.
Fluttershy then reworded her question, "N..no, I meant do you really like me? You know, like more than a friend?"
Rainbow Dash's jaw dropped and she just stood flabbergasted, which Fluttershy took as her asking 'Why would you say that?'
"W..well yesterday was just so romantic," Fluttershy said as she felt her cheeks start to boil, "I..I'm sorry. I must be going.", she said quietly as she began to move at a quickened pace towards the door a little broken hearted.
Suddenly from behind her she heard Rainbow speak, "Fluttershy? Don't leave just yet. I admit that I've thought about it, but the thought of being with another mare, especially you since we're like the best of friends, just doesn't seem right. Ya know? I didn't want to say anything because I was afraid of hurting your feelings. I mean, I...I," she paused to think, "I guess I just don't know how I feel."
Fluttershy turned around and looked into her friend's eyes, her beautiful rose colored eyes. Fluttershy could feel something in her stomach churning.
The butterflies in her stomach got worse and worse as she asked her friend, "S...should we find out how each of us feel?"
Rainbow Dash stared quizzically at her friend and asked almost as shyly as Fluttershy on a normal day, "H...how do we do that?"
Fluttershy moved closer to Rainbow Dash and said in a very quiet voice, as she lightly kicked at the ground with one hoof, "W...we could k...kiss, a...and if we don't like it, we can just keep it a secret."
Rainbow Dash thought about the proposal for a few seconds and finally said, "O...okay. Yes we should definitely do it.", regaining her confidence, "I don't want to wonder what if."
Fluttershy's heart almost exploded when she saw Rainbow Dash take a step closer to her, close her eyes, pucker her lips, and leaned in for the experimental kiss. Fluttershy followed suit and closed her eyes, puckered her lips, and leaned in.
When their lips met, they were quite surprised with how the other tasted. Rainbow Dash was very sweet almost like fresh fruit, where as Fluttershy was a little spicy like cinnamon on an apple pie. The kiss only lasted seconds but it felt like an eternity to the two mares. Each mare was taking her time sampling the flavor of the other.
An explosion of pleasure and overwhelming joy shot through Fluttershy as the kiss deepened. Rainbow Dash thought here heart was literally melting in her chest, and although the kiss was short, it was more than long enough for each to reach the conclusion that they wanted, no needed, one another. When their experimental broke, Rainbow Dash stared into Fluttershy's gorgeous baby blue eyes. Before Fluttershy could say anything, Dash cut her off with a longer, more passionate kiss.
The pleasure the two felt was unbelievably good. They laid on the floor for what seemed like hours gently caressing each other's tongue, as their forehooves explored each other's body. The two pegasi knew that they were meant for each other, and that this was the right thing to do. It just felt so right.
After the kiss finally ended and each pegasus had caught their breath Rainbow Dash laid face to face with Fluttershy and asked in a gentle loving voice, "Fluttershy, will you be my marefriend?"
"Yes! Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!" Fluttershy exclaimed in a whisper somehow, which made Rainbow Dash chuckle.
'Oh Celestia, she's so cute.', Dash thought to herself.
When Fluttershy began to return home later that night she decided that Angel Bunny had earned himself a special treat. Thanks to him, she had the greatest marefriend in all of Equestria.
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy decided to make their relationship known the next day to all of their friends. They called all of their friends together for a meeting at Fluttershy's cottage. As everypony showed up, the guests couldn't help but notice the elation between Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, but none of them could figure out why their pegasi friends were so overjoyed. Everypony could tell that there was a new aura around the two, but they couldn't quite put their hooves on it.
"Did you guys find out you were related?" Pinkie questioned as she pulled Applejack to her side.
"Um, no." Fluttershy stated meekly with a blush.
"Did you help our dear friend Rainbow create an aerial display that would dazzle us?" Rarity ventured.
"Nope! Even better!" Dash exclaimed as she side stepped closer to Fluttershy.
"Well what is it then? Out with it already." Applejack said firmly.
Finally Rainbow Dash stepped forward, "Hey guys, listen up! Fluttershy and I have something to say."
"Go on, tell us what you guys need to say." Twilight said with a smile.
Rainbow Dash beamed a smile at Fluttershy, who knew that meant that Dash wanted her to tell them, so she stepped up beside Rainbow Dash, "Rainbow Dash and I are in a relationship with one another.", Fluttershy said as she turned almost completely red and pulled Dash closer with her wing,
Everypony's jaw dropped when they heard the news. Even Pinkie Pie was at a loss for words, which is pretty hard to do. Rainbow Dash turned her head towards Fluttershy and kissed her on the cheek, which only made her blush even more. She backed away from the other ponies who were still silent and tried to hide her face behind her mane.
Suddenly Rarity spoke up, "It's about time you two got together! I was getting worried."
The other ponies immediately ran up to their friend's congratulating them for taking this bold new journey. Fluttershy was relieved that her friends approved of their being together, and finally began to calm down. Rainbow Dash on the other hand was only getting more and more timid, as her friends kept asking how it happened. She told them all what had happened and the group looked at Fluttershy with awe. Clearly they were surprised that the timid Fluttershy was the one who got things started between the two.
Suddenly Pinkie spoke up, "So where did you guys go on your first date?"
"Well Pinkie we haven't had our first date yet." Fluttershy said.
"What? Why not?" Twilight asked.
"We can't decide where to have it at. It has to be cool and awesome. Something we would never forget." Rainbow Dash explained.
"Trust me darlings, your first date could be in a pig sty and it will never be forgotten by the two of you, so long as there's love between the two of you." Rarity said as she flashed a glance at Applejack, who deeply blushed.
The party continued on for a couple of hours until every pony was tuckered out and finally headed home.
Rainbow Dash looked over at Fluttershy and asked, "Do you mind if I stay here tonight Shy?"
Fluttershy thought about it for a few moment, "Y..yes, but I'm sleeping on the couch while you sleep in my bed, if that's okay with you."
"Oh come on Fluttershy, it's your bed. I can't take it from you." Rainbow Dash protested.
"No, really it's okay." Fluttershy rebutted.
"Why don't you help me keep the bed warm?" Dash asked with a sly smile on her face.
A deep red blush instantly covered Fluttershy's face. She didn't know what to say. She knew she loved Rainbow Dash, but she had never had sex before with anypony before. She began to think about what it might be like, and these thoughts only made her face become redder and redder.
Rainbow Dash had no clue why she had said that. She had no idea what she was doing when it came to pleasuring another mare. She just stared at her partner anxiously awaiting an answer. She hoped that Fluttershy would be okay with sleeping in the same bed with her, but even if she was okay with it, she knew Fluttershy would never go for any fun stuff, at least not yet. Dash had to admit it though, she was afraid of bedroom relations.
Fluttershy thought to herself, 'Well we are dating, and dating couples do usually sleep in the same bed. But what if Rainbow Dash wanted to do it? I'd have no idea what to do.'
"I'm... I'm sorry Rainbow Dash, but I can't do that."
Rainbow Dash was relieved and let down at the same time. She wanted to try making lesmarian love, but she was worried that she wouldn't know what to do.
"Maybe, it's for the best," Rainbow Dash finally said after an awkward silence, "but I'm sleeping on the couch and that's final."
"Well o...okay." Fluttershy replied sheepishly.
The next morning was a little tense since neither of them got any sleep, because each thought the other might wander in. The two mares shared a small breakfast and talked about Cloudsdale, Which gave Rainbow Dash an awesome idea.
"Why don't we have our first date in Cloudsdale? I know an awesome salad bar there." Dash suggested.
"Th..that could be nice." Fluttershy said with anticipation.
Rainbow Dash helped her marefriend tend to her animal friends and the two decided to meet up in Cloudsdale in a few hours. Rainbow Dash was nervous as she left to get ready for the date. She had no idea what to do on a first date, so she decided to ask her friends.
First up was Twilight, she told her to be herself and that it didn't hurt to get cleaned up. Next she went to Pinkie Pie, who told her to bring lots of candy to give to Fluttershy. After her she went to Applejack, who told her that in any good relationship there had to be trust, and that meant being honest. Lastly she met up with Rarity in the spa so she could get cleaned up, and Rarity said that being romantic was a must on the first date. Armed with this information and her confidence, Rainbow was sure that this date would be a success.
Rainbow met Fluttershy by the entrance into the city of Cloudsdale. As they walked towards the restaurant each pony began to relax more and more realizing that they had gotten worked up over nothing. They discovered that both of them had asked their friends for advice, to which they laughed. They made it to the restaurant with a little time to spare and had an awesome time with each other. They shared many laughs about the good old days in the flight academy, and how awkward last night was. They talked about each other's hopes and dreams, and how badly they wanted to achieve them.
They shared their darkest secrets with one another. Such as, Fluttershy was terrified of her pet Angel Bunny, and Rainbow was a little scared of Pinkie Pie due to a dream she had about her and cupcakes. They got to know each other even better than ever before. After they finished their meals, Rainbow Dash paid and the two took the rest of the day walking around Cloudsdale and continuing to talk. When Princess Celestia finally took the sun out of the sky and Princess Luna replaced it with the moon the two pegasi bid each other farewell and returned to their respective homes.
Rainbow Dash was lying in her bed reflecting back on the day, happily smiling to herself, when she heard a knock on the window. She went and peered outside and there she was. Fluttershy was gently floating outside her window with a worried look on her face.
"Fluttershy what's wrong?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Oh it's... nothing really. I...I should be going. Sorry if I woke you."
Fluttershy began to drift back down towards the ground. Rainbow Dash flew out the window and wrapped Fluttershy up in a warm hug. Rainbow pulled out of the hug and gazed into Fluttershy's eyes.
'Wow, so that's what beauty is.' Rainbow said to herself.
She pulled Fluttershy in and kissed her deeply and passionately. The two pegasi floated in the cool night air while being silhouetted by the full moon.
After a while Fluttershy pulled out of the kiss and shyly asked, "C...can I, stay with you tonight Rainbow Dash?"
Rainbow Dash felt the sun's warmth kiss her face and lull her out of her slumber. She finally gave up and allowed her eyes to open. Her sleepy gaze fell upon Fluttershy, who was sleeping peacefully next to her. The steady rise and fall of the cloud blanket, the gentle snoring, and that small smile Fluttershy wore made her all the more irresistible, but Rainbow Dash was able to not attack her sleeping marefriend amazingly.
'I don't know what came over her last night. She was just not herself. She was shy at first, but then after I let her in she was determined to get want she wanted.' Rainbow's gaze lazily switched over to the clock on the nightstand, which read seven o'clock. She looked back over to her marefriend and said to herself, 'I hate having to do this.'
"Fluttershy? Fluttershy, it's time to get up."
Fluttershy's eyes slowly opened. She yawned cutely, before turning her gaze to Rainbow Dash with a small on her face. She stared into her lover's rose colored eyes and felt as if she could just lie there forever.
"Good morning Rainbow Dash, what time is it?"
Rainbow Dash stared right back into the lipid teal pools that were Fluttershy's eyes and said, "A little after seven."
The expression on Fluttershy's face suddenly changed to one of horror.
"My animal friends! I need to go Rainbow Dash! I have to give them food!"
Fluttershy jumped up out of bed and started running for the door. Rainbow Dash followed suit and soon the two were on their way back to Fluttershy's cottage. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash charged through the door, and there standing in the doorway of the kitchen was Angel Bunny.
Angel Bunny pointed to his stomach and began to tap his paw on the floor. Fluttershy emitted a small "Eep" and trotted into the kitchen with her head lowered to the floor with Angel right behind her.
'Why is she beating herself up this hard over this?' Rainbow Dash asked herself.
Suddenly Rainbow Dash heard a sound come from the kitchen.
'That sounded like a slap.' Rainbow said to herself.
She half trotted, half flew into the kitchen only see Fluttershy cowering on the floor and Angel standing over her with a disgruntled look on his face.
"What did you do to Fluttershy?!", Rainbow Dash bellowed.
The bunny looked over at Rainbow Dash and had a look of utter shock on his face. Fluttershy jumped up on her hooves, and ran over to Rainbow Dash. She began to cower again behind Rainbow Dash with tears in her eyes. When Rainbow Dash saw this she glared directly into the bunny's eyes.
"Get... Out... Of... Here... NOW!", Rainbow Dash screamed as she tried with all her might not to attack the bunny.
"Oh, h..he d..doesn't h..have to leave.", Fluttershy said almost as silently as a pin dropping on the floor.
"Fluttershy! He hurt you! Don't defend him! Stand up for yourself and kick him out!" Rainbow Dash hollered, but more out of love rather than anger.
Fluttershy looked at the bunny, who now had a tear forming in his eyes.
"Rainbow," the bunny began to perk up a little, "you're right."
Fluttershy turned to the bunny and glared 'The Stare' directly into his soul.
"Leave. Now.", was all she said to the bunny.
The bunny turned and walked directly out of the cottage. Fluttershy turned to Rainbow Dash with tears in her eyes.
"Oh Fluttershy, I know it hurt, but it was for the best. Trust me.", Rainbow Dash said as she wrapped Fluttershy into a hug.
Rainbow Dash felt tears dropping from her marefriend's eyes landing on her shoulder, slowly make their way down her shoulder leaving streaks in her fur, and finally down her back where they fell to the floor.
Rainbow Dash stood there holding Fluttershy for what seemed like hours. Each tear that landed on her felt worse than any crash she had ever been in. This pain was a new type of pain for her. The one she loved with all of her heart and soul was sad. She fought hard to hold back the tears swelling in her eyes.
Reluctantly she broke the hug after Fluttershy had stopped sobbing, looked lovingly into her eyes, and said, "Hey Flutters, are you still up for feeding your other animal friends?"
Fluttershy gave a sobbing laugh and said, "Oh my yes. They are relying on me. I'd hate to disappoint them."
"Do you want some help?" Rainbow Dash asked while still staring into her eyes.
Fluttershy began to blush and said quietly, "Yes, i...if that's okay with you."
Rainbow Dash just laughed and said, "Well, we better get started."
The two mares worked diligently until the job was done. After all the animals were given food and plenty to drink, Fluttershy made Rainbow Dash and herself some lunch, which consisted of daffodil sandwiches and a juice squeezed from various berries. After lunch the two decided to go into Ponyville and see their friends to tell them everything.
All of their friends basically teleported to Sugarcube Corner after hearing that Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy wanted to talk about their date.
"So how did it go darlings?" Rarity questioned.
"It was... magical.", Fluttershy responded with a blush.
"What did y'all do?" Applejack chimed in.
"We spent the day in Cloudsdale! It... Was... Awesome!" Rainbow Dash excitedly reported.
"But where did you guys go in Cloudsdale? Where did you guys eat? What did you eat? Was the food good? What did you guys do after eating? Wha..." Twilight finally put her hoof in an electric Pinkie's mouth.
"Wh...what did you say?" Fluttershy asked for she couldn't follow the excited earth pony's questions.
Pinkie began to inhale deeply so she could start again, until Twilight stuffed her hoof back into Pinkie's mouth.
"That... won't be necessary." Twilight said to Pinkie. "I think what she's trying to ask is did you guys have a good time?", Twilight asked which earned an excited nod and a lot of muffled noises from Pinkie Pie.
"Yes." Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy replied together.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash answered their friend's questions for another hour before calling it a day.
As the two walked back to Fluttershy's cottage Fluttershy turned to her marefriend and asked, "Do you think we can make it work? I mean you want to go join the Wonderbolts and all I would do is slow you down."
Rainbow looked over at Fluttershy and she could swear that in this lighting she could see their entire future together.
Her response was simple, but powerful. It was filled with love, and came from the very depths of Rainbow's heart.
Time, as always, marches on. We continue our story a little over a year later, with the two pegasi out in a field on the day that Rainbow Dash decided to ask the most important question of their lifes.
The day started out as any other spring day in Equestria. The sun was warm and inviting, the flowers were giving an explosion of vibrant colors and hues to the landscape, and the breeze was calm and pleasant. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were having a picnic on this glorious day, all the while enjoying each other's company. However, Fluttershy noticed that Rainbow Dash was behaving rather strangely today.
The question snapped Dash out of a daydream she was having of Fluttershy.
"Oh, no, of course not." Dash replied.
"You seem to be acting differently today, are you sure everything's okay?"
"Well actually Fluttershy there is one thing I need you to do for me."
Fluttershy smiled and asked, "Yes? What is it Rainbow Dash?"
Rainbow Dash now had sweat pouring off of her. Fluttershy had never seen her like this before. Rainbow Dash was always so cool, nothing ever seemed to phase her for long, but whatever was on her mind was obviously something big. This was starting to make Fluttershy uneasy.
'What could be making her so nervous?' she thought to herself.
"W..will you marry me?", Rainbow Dash asked as she produced a small box to her one true love.
Fluttershy was speechless to say the least. Her heart began to swell up in her chest as she desperately searched for an answer. Rainbow Dash looked at her love. Her heart refusing to beat again until she got an answer from Fluttershy.
'Please don't say no.' Rainbow Dash thought to herself.
Suddenly a huge beaming smile appeared on Fluttershy and she quietly said, "Yes, I will."
Rainbow Dash took off into the air. Her heart was so full of joy that she just couldn't help herself. An airstream began to form around her as she flew faster and faster. Suddenly there was a midair explosion and several rings of colors pulsed out from the epicenter of the explosion in the shape of a heart. It was the single largest Sonic Rainboom that had ever been created.
Rainbow Dash landed suddenly right beside Fluttershy, who was giggling at the reaction her marefriend had, and was suddenly thrown into a deep and passionate kiss. The moment felt perfect for each of the lovers. As the kiss broke Fluttershy opened her eyes and lovingly gazed into Rainbow Dash's eyes.
The two began to plan the wedding immediately. After the plans were finished, they told all of their friends and family and began to set the plan in motion. The wedding was immaculate. Everything was perfect from the Princesses' speech, to the reading of the vows, and even the party that Pinkie Pie had thrown. They knew that this was the beginning of an amazing chapter of their lives; one filled with love, caring, and understanding.
A few months after the ceremony Rainbow Dash trotted into Fluttershy's cottage, which was now both of their homes, to see Fluttershy sitting in the living room with a thoughtful look on her face while biting her lower lip.
"What's wrong?" Rainbow Dash questioned with a hint of concern in her voice.
"Rainbow, I..I want to be a mother." Fluttershy mumbled so low that Rainbow Dash couldn't hear her.
"I'm sorry Fluttershy, I didn't catch that." Rainbow said fearing the worse.
"I want to be a mother, Rainbow." Fluttershy said a bit louder this time.
"You do realize that we're both mares right?" Rainbow said with a bit of humor in her voice.
"Yes, but we can adopt a foal." Fluttershy retorted.
Rainbow Dash's ears perked up when she heard this. It was as if something finally clicked in her mind.
"We can adopt a foal.", she murmured to herself.
Suddenly a large smile appeared on her face.
"We can adopt a foal!" Rainbow Dash excitedly exclaimed. "And I know the perfect one!"
Fluttershy knew which one she was talking about.
A sparkle appeared in her eye as she said, "Yes lets get her."
The two pegasi flew straight over to the orphanage to begin filling out the paperwork. The two finished the paperwork quickly and waited for what seemed like days. After awhile the little orphaned foals came back to the orphanage from their little outing and saw the two mares. They all became extremely excited at the prospects of getting adopted, but one was even more excited than the rest.
"Rainbow Dash!", Scootaloo shouted, "You came to visit me?"
"No Squirt I didn't.", she said as she and Fluttershy beamed smiles at her.
"Oh. That's okay." Scootaloo murmured a little broken hearted.
"We came to bring you home. If that's okay with you that is." Fluttershy said in her normal breathy whisper.
The smile that the young pegasus beamed couldn't be reviled by anypony anywhere. Her heart almost exploded from the news that she heard.
Through all of her excitement she managed to stammer out, "D..do y...you mean that..."
Scootaloo was cut short by Rainbow Dash suddenly rushing up to her and hugging her.
"Yes squirt. We've adopted you. You're coming home with us for good!"
There in the middle of the hallway was the three of them sharing their first family hug. Time seemed to stop in its place during this moment of extreme happiness for the new family.
Rainbow Dash was the first to break the hug and said with tears of joy in her eyes, "Lets go home."
The three pegasi walked home excitedly talking about what the future might hold, and that night they all had peaceful dreams about their new brighter future.
Her body began to betray her and she hit the ground hard.
'It's all over', "And it's my fault!", Rainbow Dash said, finishing her thought as she began to bawl.
She laid on the floor for what seemed like forever. The same thought running through her head. She cried all through what was left of the night. As the sun rose in the morning she got up to feed the animals. Not because she wanted to, but out of habit really. After that was done she walked back into the cottage and stopped in the doorway from the kitchen to the living room. There standing in front of her was,
"Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash said as her ears perked up. "Where's Scootaloo at?" Rainbow Dash continued with tear filled eyes.
"She's safe at the old Cutie Mark Crusader's Clubhouse with Applebloom and Sweetie Bell." Fluttershy responded.
"She does love that place." Rainbow Dash said more to herself than Fluttershy.
An uneasy silence fell over the room. Fluttershy was standing directly in front of her, and she had obviously been crying all night as well. Rainbow Dash stood there speechless. Fluttershy was the first to break the silence.
"Rainbow Dash, I'm sorry but..."
Rainbow Dash interrupted her with, "Don't you dare apologize. It's my fault. You were right, and you're beautiful just the way you are. I'm just a monster that tried to change the best thing that ever happened in my life."
Fluttershy began to cry again as she said, "I'm sorry Dash. I really am, but I don't think I can kept doing this. Everything is just to different now."
"Please Fluttershy, just give me one more chance, please!" Rainbow Dash cried out as she fell to the floor, "Please I can change, please don't leave me."
"Rainbow I'm sorry, but it's over.", Fluttershy said in a sobbing apologetic voice.
Rainbow Dash got up while still crying, she took off through the door with a rainbow trailing her flight path, and flew up and away. Fluttershy broke down. She began sobbing uncontrollably.
Suddenly there was an explosion. Flutter walked outside expecting to see the remnants of the last Sonic Rainboom she would ever see, but when she looked up there was no circular rainbow. She looked into the distance and saw a smoke cloud.
'Did Rainbow Dash crash?' Fluttershy asked herself as she took off towards the cloud.
She approached where the cloud appeared to be coming from. She scanned the ground and found a large crater but no Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy flew as fast as her wings would carry her back to Ponyville. She gathered every pony she could and formed a search party.
After hours of searching nothing was found. Darkness had fallen on the second day of searching and still nothing was found. All of Ponyville was searched as was Cloudsdale and several other surrounding areas, but still nothing was found. The search was called to a halt after a week, and a memorial date was declared for the following week. Fluttershy and Scootaloo were crushed to say the lease. They had lost their rainbow forever.
Rainbow Dash got up while still crying, she took off through the door with a rainbow trailing her flight path, and flew up and away.
'It's all over. She doesn't love me anymore.' Rainbow Dash thought to herself as she flew faster and faster. Suddenly her wings stopped working. She looked down and saw that this was the highest she had ever flown before. She began to fall to the ground spiraling out of control. Faster and faster she fell but with no way to pull out of the dive. She closed her eyes and thought of some of her comforting thoughts.
The day when she and Fluttershy got together, their wedding, adolpting Scootaloo, and all of the family outings. Those were her thoughts as she raced towards the ground. A tear formed in her eye as she plummitted downwards to the cold unforgiving ground. Then everything went dark.
She opened her eyes and found that she was still alive.
'How?', she asked herself.
She got up and started to take off but her left wing just wouldn't cooperate with her. The pain that it emmitted was the most intense physical pain she had ever felt.
'Oh Celestia no! It's gotta be broken.', she thought to herself.
'I have to get help.'
She starting running at a full gallop to search for help, but she had no idea where she was. She looked around trying to get her bearings, but she just couldn't.
'If I could fly I could easily find my way.', she bitterly thought.
She ran for what seemed like hours, but to no avail. She walked around aimlessly for days surviving on berries that Fluttershy had taught her were safe to eat. She drank water from streams and rivers she came across. Rainbow Dash was almost ready to give up when she found a road. She could finally find her way to civilization. She walked and walked until she came to the city of Canterlot. She checked herself into a hospital and got her wing reset, recieved news that she wouldn't be able to fly for a least a week, and got some much needed food and water. She checked out later that day and got into a carrige that was teamed by two pegasi that would take her home.
The carrige got her safely home, which was not Fluttershy's cottage anymore. Instead she had the carrige deliver her to her cloud house. She moped into her old home and went directly to bed. As she layed there all she could think about was Fluttershy and Scoots. Tears soon followed as she began to think of how things would never be the same again. How her life was over, and how she secretly wished that she had died in the crash, for surely death was better than how she felt now.
She cried herself to sleep that night thinking that her life was truly over, and that the fact that she was still alive was a punishment given to her for the way she had made Fluttershy cry so many times before.
She awoke in the morning still thinking she was lost in a dark and cruel world. She couldn't stand living like this anymore. She decided that it all had to end. She decided to take her own life and to let all of her pain, both emotional and physical, end. She walked out onto the cloud that supported her house. She looked down at the ground and noted how the grass looked just as green as the day when she and Fluttershy got together.
The search was called off. Fluttershy and Scootaloo just couldn't accept that she was gone. She was just to tough to die from a simple fall. Later that night all of Ponyville could hear Fluttershy's cries of regretful mourning.
Fluttershy cried all through the night and into the next mourning. She finally got up around noon to give food to her animal friends. Scootaloo helped Fluttershy with this task and she tried to talk to her.
"You know she still loves you, where ever she is." Scootaloo said with complete confidence in her idol and mother.
"I know Scoots, but she's out there somewhere and I don't know if she's hungry or," Fluttershy stopped as if something in her broke, "or hurt."
She fell to the ground under the weight of her guilt. The dams in her eyes broke once again and her tears began to flow again. Scootaloo tried her best to cheer up her other mother as much as possible, but eventually she also was sobbing beside Fluttershy.
After a while Fluttershy got up, although still crying, she made her way into the cottage with the help of Scootaloo. The two of them sat in the living room hoping their loved one would come bursting through the door at any moment as if nothing had even happened.
Scootaloo looked over to Fluttershy and asked, "Do you want to go to her house. Maybe, just maybe..." but she trailed off as if her train of thought was lost.
Fluttershy quietly said witha small smile on her face, "Yes lets do it."
The two pegasi began the long walk to Rainbow's house. The two of them talked the entire way about the good times they had together as a family.
"So if we do find her, are you going to get back together with her?" Scootaloo asked as they had had gotten the entire way through Ponyville.
"When," Fluttershy made sure to put extra infacis on when,"we find her you're going to have to give us some time alone."
"Ooohhh! So you miss her that much? Bon-chica-wow-wow!" Scootaloo teasingly said.
"Oh heavens no! We just need to talk alone."
"Oh sure. If you say so." Scootaloo said with a small smirk on her lips.
All Fluttershy could do was blush. The rest of the walk was pretty uneventful for the two. They talked about the weather, how they were feeling, and what they wanted to eat for dinner.
When suddenly Scootaloo gleefully shouted, "Is that Rainbow Dash!"
Fluttershy's heart stopped as she looked up at the cloud house and saw her life partnerstanding on the edge of the cloud looking down.
"It is Rainbow Dash! But wait, what is she d..."
The two watched in horror as she stepped off the cloud. It was then that Fluttershy saw the bandages on Rainbow's wing.
"Oh my Celestia, she can't fly!" Fluttershy shouted as the two took off from the ground so they could catch up to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash's eyes shot open when she heard, "Oh my Celestia, she can't fly!"
She immediately began scanning for the source of this voice. She knew who the voice belonged to and it didn't take long for her to spot the most beautiful mare in all of Equestria flying directly to her along with Scootaloo.
Fluttershy and Scootaloo were in a race against time and gravity. They flapped their wings so hard that they were beginning to burn.
'No, please Celestia no!' Fluttershy thought to herself.
The two pegasi finally caught up to their falling loved one and were able to slow her fall. Eventually Rainbow Dash was being carried upwards by the two.
'Where did they, why did they, and how could they?', were the thoughts flying through Rainbow Dash's mind as she was dropped onto the cloud that held up her house.
Scootaloo landed and ran up to Rainbow Dash eveloping her into a large and emotional bear hug. Fluttershy landed a few seconds after Scootaloo and just watched as Rainbow Dash broke into tears as she held her foal.
Rainbow Dash looked up and saw Fluttershy staring at her with a worried look in her eyes.
She turned to Scootaloo and said, "Why don't you go on home while Fluttershy and I talk for a while Scoots, please?"
Scootaloo reluctantly complied with her request, and as she flew by Fluttershy she said, "Bow-chicca-wow-wow!"
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy stood there looking at each other for what seemed like an eternity, until Fluttershy began to slowly make her way over to Rainbow Dash.
"Fluttershy, I'm sorry! I didn't mean ..."
Fluttershy cut her off with a deep and lustful kiss. She pulled away from it after some time.
"It's okay Rainbow. We've each done things that we aren't very proud of over the past couple of weeks. This relationship of ours can work. We just have to be willing to work at it."
"rainbow Dash looked into her lover's eyes and said, "I'm willing to do anything for you, Fluttershy, and for Scoots." Rainbow Dash whispered into Fluttershy's ear.
Fluttershy looked lovingly into Rainbow Dash's eyes, when the sudden realization hit her that she had to tell everypony in Ponyville that Rainbow Dash was safe. After she did the rest of her friends came with her to get Rainbow Dash down from the cloud in one of Pinkie's balloons. After they landed Rainbow Dash told her story to all her friends and by the time that she was finished Pinkie already had a party set up for her with everypony in Ponyville invited.
After the party Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash asked Applejack if it was okay for Scootaloo to spend the night, so the two could be alone. To which Applejack said that she was only to happy to help. As she and the kids were leaving after the party was over Scootaloo said over her shoulder, "Bow-chicca-wow-wow!"
