Chapter 1

The astral plane an endless void of nothingness, only darkness from as far as the eye could see. This was the place were those who had no good heart or noble soul went to when there physical manifestation was no more. Each of there spirits were trapped inside little triangles that spun around and around creating everlasting torment. And inside one of these triangles laid one of the most evil beings to have ever existed in the last 1000 years.

"Oh my dreaded hound, how did we get stuck into this mess. For centuries, I Mumm-Ra the ever living source of evil, master of Third Earth, spread terror and darkness to wherever my evil hand could touch. But now thanks' to those reached Thundercats, I am trapped here in the astral plane doomed to be nothing more than a empty shell for all time." Mumm-Ra just held his demonic bull hound Ma-Mutt as he spate hatred towards all of his enemies. He then sulked onto the ground as he knew that he was done.

But in this moment of great depression four small red lights appeared in front of him. The demonic Lord looked up and saw these four specs of light grow larger and larger and morph into four stoned figures, they had human bodies but animal heads. A bull, a crocodile, a pig, and a vulture. They were the ancient spirits of evil, the very source of all darkness throughout the universe.

"Masters!" Mumm-Ra screamed as he kneeled before these four statues groveling at there stoned feet. There eyes glowed red as if glaring at him, piercing his very soul. Then they all began to speak as one echoing voice across the plane.

"MUMM-RA.......MUMM-RA! WE! THE ANCIENT SPIRTIS OF EVIL AFTER LONG AND CONSIDERATE DEBATE HAVE DECIDED TO GIVE YOU A CHANCE AT REDEMTION."

"Yes thank you masters, I will be you ever living servant and I will insure you a swift victory against those miserable do-gooders the Thundercats and...."

"NO" The spirits bellowed

"What?" Mumm-Ra looked surprised.

"NO!" The spirits bellowed again "WE HAVE DECIDED THAT YOUR REDEMTION WILL TAKE PLACE IN A NEW WORLD, ONE THAT HAS NOT TRUELY BEEN TOUCHED BY OUR EVIL PRESENCE."

"A world without evil?" Mumm-Ra looked shocked.

"OH, THERE IS EVIL" The spirits responded. "BUT IT'S A WEAK INNOCENT TYPE OF EVIL THAT CAN EASILY BE.......REFORMED" That last word was hard for the spirits to stomach.

"What...What is this place." Mumm-Ra asked seeming a little nervous, unsure what task the ancient ones will bestow to him..

"YOU......WILL....SEE." Shouted the spirits making the plane to shake.

Then the Ancient Spirits of Evil eyes glowed red as they blasted a surge of energy that headed straight towards Mumm-Ra and hit him, projecting off into the distance out of the astral Plane"

Inside a vast baron desert there was nothing but sand as far as the eyes could see. Nothing seemed to grow here there was not a living creature to be seen everything felt dead and rotten.

Then the sky began to be covered by dark clouds as they began to swirl around, covering everything with their black menace. In the center of the dark clouds a red beam struck the ground like a lightning bolt. Coming from it the blued skin, decayed mummy Mumm-Ra appeared, dragging his red robes and bandages across the sands his loyal hound following right behind him.

He stumbled onto the ground feeling weak and powerless for a few minutes. He gets back up and looks around to see nothing but desert.

He takes a look at his dreaded mutt "Humph, this place looks suitable to be our new home eh boy. Nice and dead just as I prefer it."

Ma-Mutt just responded by barking happily.

Mumm-Ra then kneels on the ground again and puts his hand in the sand a purple aura of energy began to emerge from it.

"Ancient Spirits of Evil...Give me your power, your might, your evil! So that I may execute you wicked wishes."

The dark clouds began to swirl again striking lightening at the sands. Then from the skies several black stoned bricks began to crash land on to the ground like rain drops did from the skies. The stone material all landed in specific areas in the sand eventually forming a large mighty structure of a black Onyx Pyramid with four obelisk towers surrounding it on all four corners.

Inside the massive fortress Mumm-Ra stood inside the mane throne room. In the back of the chamber was a large skeleton head it's mouth wide opened, for it contained a sarcophagus. In the four corners of the room were the statures of the ancient spirits of evil. And in the center laid a massive cauldron it's evil essence bubbling in it.

Mumm-Ra walked up towards the cauldron raised booth is arms in the air. The cauldron responded as smoke arose from it.

"Ancient Spirits of Evil.....I Mumm-Ra former master of Third Earth ask you this one request. Permit me to know the location of which you have sent me so that I may better aid in you orders."

Then the eyes of the statures burst open glowing red. Together the four statues stuck there energies beams into the cauldron. Then an image of a lush beautiful world appeared within it's bubbly essence.

"THIS MUMM-RA IS THE LAND OF .......EQUESTRIA!" Echoed the Spirits.

Mumm-Ra seemed shocked to here this news. "Equestria!... The land of the mystical talking pones? Why...I haven't been here since..."

He paused Mumm-Ra then began to think about the last time he had been in Equestria.

"YES....YOU REMEMBER DON'T YOU MUMM-RA. YOU ARRIVED AROUND THE TIME AFTER THE DEFEAT OF DISCORD AND THE CYRSTAL EMPIRE INNCODENT BUT BEFORE THE NIGHTMARE MOON EVENT."

"Yes..... I do remember." Mumm-Ra said smiling. "Oh those were some glorious days, I practically destroyed Celestia's castle, burned the EverFree forest to the ground and nearly brought this miserable race and every other creature in this world to near extinction!"

"YES THIS IS WHY WE HAVE CHOSEN THIS LAND AS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR YOU TO REDEEM YOURSELF IN OUR EYES. YOUR PAST KNOWLEDGE OF THIS WORLD HAS ALREADY GIVEN YOU THE ADVANTAGE! PLUS IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO SETTLE SOME OLD SCORS WITH SOME......FRIENDS."

Mumm-Ra's eyes glowed at this notion. "Yes... I haven't seen the dear princess in ages. My time ruling Third Earth has not allowed me any time to pay any visits to my.... friends..... beyond. Yes this will be the perfect opportunity for me to catch up." Then Mumm-Ra burst out in a insane cackle. "But first It has been so long since I've last been here. A thousand years is a long time to be gone. It' is best if I do a little reconnaissance on the situation perhaps find some allies, changelings are always good minions, perhaps Discord is still locked in stone. He's powerful."

"SADLY DISCORD HAD BEEN ..... REFORMED A FEW MONTHS AGO."

Mumm-Ra seemed annoyed at this news but not entirely surprised. "Bah...He was never truly evil anyway, only his power was what I found interesting about him. Shame though could have made a good ally. Tell me a little more ancient one's. What should I be aware of ... Who should I be aware of!"

The Cauldron seemed to answer Mumm-Ra's question for him, for the image changed inside of it and showed Purple Unicorn walking around a small village with a baby dragon.

Mumm-Ra locked at this creature with his menacing blood red eyes scowling. "Who is this?"

"SHE IS TWILIGHT SPARKES ONE OF THE BERROR'S OF the ELEMENT OF HARMONY. SHE IS KEEPER OF MAGIC!"

Mumm-Ra burst out laughing. "Really! Her, well I new that the elements would one day the elements would be passed down from the princesses but not to mere common folk. A mere ..child no less."

"DO NOT UNDERESTMATE HERE!!!!" The spirits shouted in anger. SHE ALONG WITH HER FRIENDS HAVE FACED MANY CHALLANGES IN THIS WORLD! DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN BY UNDERESTAMTING YOUR ENEMIES."

Mumm-Ra was a taken aback by the spirits warning. "Hmm perhaps. Overconfidence was my downfall last time. I will not make the same mistakes again. I learn from my mistakes unlike my former henchman did in the past."

Mumm-Ra continued to look in the cauldron and notice something off about this strange little pony. She had wings.

"An Alicorn!" Mumm-Ra was shocked.

"Yes"Replied the spirits. "IT WAS ONLY RECENTLY THAT THE SHE BECAME A ALICORN PRICNESS. FOR YEARS NOW SHE HAD BEEN UNDER THE WING OF PRINCESS CELESTIA HERSELF AS HER NUMBER ONE STUDENT."

Mumm-Ra then began to ponder this strange news rubbing his chin and pondering dark thoughts. "It appears then that Celestia might be ready to prepares for the succession process then and has chosen her candidate." Then Mumm-Ra clenched his fists and looked determined. "But I will not wait for that day, I will make my mark on this world again and insure that Princess Celestia and her beloved sister Luna know the power of Mumm-Ra!" He burst out in a insane laughter. As he calmed down he looked back at his cauldron again which had a image of Twilight Sparkle "But until I do I might want to keep an eye on this so called... Princess...Twilight...Sparkle." With that evil monster chuckled his blood red eyes just starred into the cauldron looking upon somepony who did not know that she was in extreme danger.

Standing on the balcony at Canterlot Castle Princess Celestia and Luna watch the night sky looking at the bright moon which Luna herself had made sure shined extra bight tonight.

"A lovely moon as always sister." Celestia said.

"Thank you sister." Luna responded.

Then in a instant princess Luna and Celestia then began to stumble losing there balance for a second.

"Did you..... feel that Tia" Luna said looking around.

"I did...... Strange."

"What could it mean sister."

"I don't know.....But that feeling it's something......something I haven't fell in a long time."

Princess Celestia and Luna gave each other worried looks as they wondered what had just happened not knowing what was about to come

Ponyville remained quiet as usual all the ponies of the small town were busy with their daily activities and chores. Berry Punch was going to local wine brewer to get her latest collection of red wine. Lyra and Bon Bon were hanging out at there favorite bench, Lyra still sitting in that bizarre position she always sat in, and walking along the road was Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy both were heading to the local library which also served as Twilight's home, to get a book on current animal healing techniques.

"Wow Twilight, I'm surprised that your still living at the library instead of your own marvelous castle especially now that your a Alicorn Princess." Fluttershy said.

"Oh come on now Fluttershy I'm not into to those types of things, I prefer my quiet tree home than some stuffy old castle any day." Twilight then gave a kind smile to Fluttershy, she responded in kind.

They two of them continued there quiet walk through town taking in all the sites and sounds of Ponyville. However for a while they had trouble coming up with conversation.

"So...how are things." Twilight asked hoping to break the long silence that had accompanied them during their walk.

"Oh pretty well. Discord and I were planning on having a dinner party tonight with Pinkie Pie." Fluttershy responded.

Twilight then twinged, she still could not get over the fact that her friend Fluttershy was friends with Discord, Spirit of Chaos and Disorder. Once a powerful enemy of Princess Celestia and Luna themselves now he was reformed and friends with the ponies, well, at least as friendly as Discord nature allowed.

"Yeah, about that... How is Discord, behaving himself." Twilight said seeming suspicious. She never fully trusted Discord, reformed or not to Twilight he was still untrustworthy, at least in her eyes.

"Oh he's behaving quiet well.... although." Fluttershy answered but Twilight new she was hiding something from her and she wanted to know what it was.

"Although...What." Twilight asked, trying to get Fluttershy to spill the beans.

"Well, you see... ever since you became a Princess he's been acting kind of grumpy lately, if not a bit angry."

"Angry? Why?" Twilight seemed surprised, Discord was never one to get angry for long periods of time, sure perhaps when he was locked in stone but when he was free, although chaotic, he was normally in a good mood.

"Well he keeps going on and on about you not ready for such a task.... He also keeps saying things like, your not worthy enough for such a responsibility , he accuses of having, as he puts it... simple pony mind and not being able to comprehend what's out there." Fluttershy pointed up to the sky.

"Out there? Like what, in space or something." Twilight said pointing up into the sky.

"I'm not sure, maybe." Fluttershy responded

Twilight Sparkle just rolled here eyes in annoyance. She wasn't sure to take Discord's threats seriously, Princess Celestia had chosen Twilight to be a Alicorn Princess and as long and Princess Celestia believed that she was ready for such responsibility Twilight only needed her approval to be confident in her abilities, not Discord's.

Fluttershy and Twilight eventually made it to the library after a few more minutes of walking through the town. Twilight seemed relived to be back home she enjoyed walking but it can be tiring after a while, although she had wings she still wasn't used to them. Finally Twilight opened the door to here tree home. "Now to relax and enter a nice quiet, clean, organized...." She stopped and her mouth dropped open to see that her library was completely in chaos all the books were on the floor some were even floating around in the sky. She saw Spike, her baby dragon, trying to pick up as many of the books as possible, but he had difficulty with that since the books seemed to be alive and started hitting Spike on the head.

"Ouch stop that! Bad books, bad books!" Spike screamed as the books left bruise marks on his head.

"SPIKE!" Twilight yelled looking extremely disappointed at Spike. "What in Equestria happened!"

"I tried to tell him not to Twilight. But he insisted this was a better way to do his research."

"Who..." Twilight didn't even finish her sentence before it came to her who was the culprit of this mess. "DISCROD!"

"You rang." said a voice from out of nowhere. Then in a flash of light the spirit of chaos himself arrived hovering around the room holding a book in his hand and wearing reading glasses.

"Discord what are you doing!" Twilight said seeming extremely annoyed to see him. "Look what you've done to my home, it's a disorganized mess!"

"Just doing a little research that's all nothing wrong with that now is it, Princess!!" Discord put special emphasis on that last world as if Twilight becoming a princess was a bad thing.

Twilight took notice at the book he was reading she was actually shocked to see what it was. "Equestrian law? Why would you read that. "

"Oh no specific reason really, maybe I might need it one day if for some reason I'm in court ... or if , oh I don't know... need to conduct a trial against someone who deserves it." Discord gave Twilight a sinister little smirk before smiling innocently again. "But maybe I'm just crazy I don't know."

"Discord." Fluttershy stepped up. "Please put everything back to normal this instant." she said trying not to show any sigh of weakness. She new that she had to be firm when dealing with Discord.

Discord wanted to resist but he still couldn't say no to his one and only friend. "Oh alright!" He snapped his fingers and all the books eventually were put back to there normal shelves. He also took off his reading glasses and looked somewhat annoyed that his fun was over. "Happy."

"Yes." Fluttershy gave Discord a genuine smile. He responded in kind. Discord was becoming a bit of softy when it came to Fluttershy.

Discord then came down from the sky and stood in front of Fluttershy and Twilight

"Thank you Discord." Twilight said trying to be kind and generous.

"Well, I guess I wouldn't want to upset our new.... GLORIOUS princess now would I." Discord looked at Twilight with animosity.

"Now Discord Twilights not like..."Fluttershy tried to get a word in edge wise before Discord cut her off.

"Perhaps not, but I'm still not sure why Celestia would give you such responsibility, why she would give you the honor of making you an Alicorn Princess." Discord just starred at Twilight menacingly as if piercing her very soul. Then the next second he had a look of sadness on his face "And the worse part is she didn't think of consulting me." Discord shed a little tear, he immediately switched back to a neutral expression. "After all the most important thing about being a leader is having a superior mind and yours Twilight is the most inferior I've ever seen."

"Hey!" Spike intervened. "Twilight is super smart I remember she took something called an... I.Q test... which is supposed to show how smart you are she scored the highest with one hundred and sixty nine. The teacher said it was the best she had ever scene."

"Now Spike." Twilight said whipping that smug look of his face. "Remember what I told you about boasting now, don't want you to end up like Trikie.

"Sorry Twilight." Spike said drooping his head down.

"Oh yes. I'm sure that is quiet high for a pony. However I'm afraid that still doesn't beat my score of two thousand and five." Discord retorted.

"STOP!"

Everyone turned to see Fluttershy was the one who gave that out burst.

"Can't we all be friends." Fluttershy asked trying to keep the peace in the room.

Discord took a deep breath perhaps his current approach was not the right. "She's right, perhaps I was to rash." Then an idea came into his head. "I know!" Discord gave a I wide smile. "I'll join you."

"What!" Twilight and Spike said looking shocked.

"I'll join your little band friends instead of the mane six we could be the mane seven. Beside Twilight you need me. You don't know what could be out there in the realms beyond, Changelings, Minotaur's, Diamond Dogs...The Borg!

"The what?" Twilight didn't know what that last one was. Discord realized he said something he probably shouldn't have said and tired to correct the error.

"A...Nothing. But the point is I'm still not sure someone like you is ready. At least, without my help. It's a dangerous world, accidents can happen. It's not made for the timid or the weak stomached." His eyes glanced at Fluttershy for a few seconds before returning back to Twilight.

"No Discord, I don't need your help nor do I personally want your help." Twilight rebuffed. "Besides what would you even do. What would Discord Spirit of Chaos and Disorder do as one of the team."

"I could be of use to you. My intelligence alone could give you an advantage, think of me as a royal advisor, ready to serve and able."

"Take advice from you, no way." Twilight said seeming annoyed. "If I wanted advice on how to make the situation worse than I'll call."

Discord noticed he was getting nowhere so he decided to raise the stakes." Look, I'll even and I'm not sure why you would want me to.... give up my powers."

"The answer is still no Discord." Twilight started to get really annoyed now.

"Discord I don't think you should keep pushing this." Fluttershy tried to intervene before things started to get out of hand.

"Fine! I'll give you time to mull it over." Discord then began to head towards the door but he turned around and looked at Twilight with a look of extreme seriousness. "But beware Mon Princess things might be moving faster then they appear to be. The hall will soon be rented, the orchestra is ready to engage... and It will soon be time to see if you can dance." With that he was gone in a flash of light.

Twilight and Fluttershy exchanged each other worried looks not quiet sure what Discord meant by that statement nor sure what he was planning to do.

"Wonder what he meant by that. Oh I hope he isn't going bad again he's been so good as of late." Fluttershy said seeming nervous.

"He's probably just being Discord. It's like when Pinkie Pie is Pinkie Pie, just ignore him. Besides he knows the consequences if he returns to evil." Twilight then began to make sure that Discord had put all the books in there proper place.

"LOOK OUT BELOW!" Then in a huge bang! A blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane crashed through the roof of the Library

"Rainbowdash!" Twilight said looking annoyed.

"Sorry Twi, another stunt gone wrong."

Bursting through the door a small orange filly with a purple mane runs into the room and jumps on Rainbowdash and laches on to her.

"Oh that was so cool Rainbowdash! Woo Hoo! Your so awesome and brave and cool and..."

"Thanks Scootaloo." Rainbowdash cut her off

Following Scootaloo entrance five more Ponies entered the Room, two of them were little kids one white with a pink mane the other yellow red mane tied up with a bow. The other three were adults. A pink pony, A white pony with purple mane and a orange pony wearing a cowboy hat.

"Sorry everyone we were also watching Rainbowdash her do her fancy stunt, although well y'all know the rest." Applejack said looking at a dazed Rainbowdash

"Even I have to admit it was quiet dazzling watching the Rainbow colors create such unique designs, simply divine." Rarity exclaimed seeming overwhelmed by the fashion.

"Yeah it was....' Then all of sudden Pinkie Pie began to shiver extremely violently

"Pinkie! What's wrong?" Twilight asked looking concerned. "Is it your Pinkie sense again."

"Yep and this one is a doozy. I really big doozy. I extremely something that we though could never happen ever in all of Equestria and probably would effect not only us but the fate of the entire universe type of doozy!" Pinkie Pie shouted.

"Really Pinkie Pie are you sure." Applejack said looking skeptic. "Now normally I wouldn't doubt your Pinkie sense but still, that seems awfully big for mere Pinkie sense."

"Yeah your probably right. I mean how could the universe be affected, it's such a nice day today."

Everyone seemed to agree with Pinkie Pie except for Twilight, first Discord gave her that strange warning and now Pinkie Pie sense was going off like that.

"Hmm, something strange is going on."

Looking upon them through his mighty cauldron the ever living source evil laughs with contempt as he spies upon his so called great threat he will have to over come.

"Yes my dear Pony Princess, your are right to be worried, for Mumm-Ra is the greatest of all threats to not only this world but the worlds beyond. And he watches you like a hawk does his pray. Even now plans are already formulating in my brain that will bring a end to you and your miserable world once and for all."

Ma-Matt barked into the cauldron and growled at the Ponies. Mumm-Ra picked him up and petted him on the head.

"Do not fear my reached hound. You will taste Pony blood soon enough. And we will watch as once again this world burns before us, as it burned all those centuries ago during our last encounter."

Mumm-Ra continued to mull over his cauldron plotting for a way to make his grand return to evil. Mumm-Ra takes a really interesting look at Fluttershy.

"It appears that this pony has the unique ability to control Discord, this could be useful to me. Although his power have don't any effect on my per say it is still wise to use collect as much power as possible before my initial strike against Equstria." Then the dark one's blood red eyes then turn towards the Pink pony known as Pinkie Pie. "Then that one over there is unique as well this so called.... Pinkie sense seems to be able to detect my presence in this world, and she is just a common earth pony."

Mumm-Ra then begins to pace back and forth around the pyramid for a while beginning to plan out his next moves. Unknown to Mumm-Ra a parasprite enters the dark chambers of pyramid and begins to hoover around Mumm-Ra he eventually notice it and grabs it by the wings crushing them leaving the poor creature flightless. He takes a good look at it.

"A parasprite annoying creatures." But then something pops into his dark mind. "But they are pretty destructive as well. But not to my needs however but perhaps they could be.. modified to my liking."

Mumm-Ra then puts the wounded parasprite into the cauldron razes his arms into the air the wind begging to blow within the pyramids chambers, the eyes of the Ancient Spirits of Evil begin to glow.

"Ancient Spirits of Evil, I Mumm-Ra call upon you to give this mere creature new life. Infuse it with you evil powers so that it may serve you evil might."

The Ancient Spirits of Evil stuck the parasprite with it evil powers and began to mutate it. It's fur turned black, it's eyes gre red and it's teeth began sharp as daggers and it's wings turned bat like. It flew into the palm of Mumm-Ra's hand as it's new master gazed upon it

"Yes, Yes! Now my new minion of darkness, I want you to head to the village of Ponyville and cause as much terror as possible I also want you to head to Canterlot as well and cause as much destruction there as possible especially upon it's defense facilities. Now! GO!

The darken parasprite drifted off out of the Dark Pyramids chambers and into Equestria as it began to multiply.

It took a few hours but finally Twilight hand finished inspecting books in the library thanks to the help of her friends they all decided to go out for lunch at the local café. Sweetie Belle, and Applebloom came along as well only because Scootaloo wanted to spend more time with Rainbowdash but still wanted to be with her friends as well. Twilight suggest they eat outside since it was such lovely day, Celestia had really outdone herself today, the sun was especially bright that day. They got there Veggie sandwiches, Pinkie Pie got a few milkshakes and they started to dine.

"Yummy." Rainbowdash said she turned to look at Scootaloo. "How's your squirt."

"Yum." Scootaloo said looking up and Rainbowdash and smiling with her mouth full. Rainbowdash didn't seem to mind however.

Pinkie continue to drink her milkshake but then she's spilt some when she began to shiver again more fierce then the last time.

"Again Pinkie." Twilight said looking worried about Pinkie constant shivering.

"Yep! I still feel a doozy coming." Pinkie Pie then starts to shake again even more violently then before. Pinkie Pie then begins jumping up and down and even going as far as bouncing of the walls.

"Pinkie what y'all doin" Applejack said seeming worried.

"Do something, she's causing a scene." Rarity said shifting her eyes around as all the other ponies at the café were giing the group stares.

"I got it." Applejack got out her rope and tried to tie Pinkie down.

"Strange isn't she mon princess." Twilight looked down to see Discord's face inside her glass of water.

"Discord what are you doing!" Twilight whispered annoyed that he was in her drink.

"Just enjoying my dear Pinkie Pie's antiques." Discord his head tilting toward Pinkie Pie who continued to shake and jump up in down in a uncontrollable fashion.

Twilight turned to see Pinkie Pie really going at it as she was hitting other tables as Applejack, and Rainbowdash worked together to try and hold Pinkie down with the rope. Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Applebloom tired to help as well but they only got in the way.

"Pinkie Pie hold still." Rainbowdash yelled out trying to get a hold of Pinkie Pie and strap her down.

"Sorry Rainbowdash. .. I can't control it." Pinkie Pie said as her uncontrollable antics forced her to kick Rainbowdash in the face much to her displeasure.

"By the way you might want to get ready." Discord said before disappearing again.

"Ready... Ready for what. Discord! If you are hiding something you better..." Twilight then felt a small tap on the soldier.

"Uh Twilight." Fluttershy said noticing Twilight talking into a empty cup. "Who are you talking to."

Twilight looked up seeming a bit embarrassed. "Uh... Well... you see...." Before she could finish gathering he thoughts she saw a large black shape moving towards Ponyville. The shape then split of as part of it headed towards Canterlot.

"What the..." Twilight didn't finish before she realized what they were.

"Parasprites!" She yelled out as the horde of small bugs began to descend upon Ponyville. But unlike the last infestation that plagued Ponyville these parasprites were different. For one thing they were all black instead of there usual array of different colors. Another Twilight noticed is that they lacked the innocence they had the last time they were in Ponyville. Although destructive they were not real dangerous creatures. But these ones seemed menacing almost evil.

The creature began attacking the town with a passion. They began to eat the buildings, tear down all the local stands at the market place and,

"There shooting lasers out of there eyes since when could they do that." Twilight said looking shocked. The rest of her friends finally saw what was going on when they got Pinkie Pie to stop jumping up and down. Twilight turned around to face her friends.

"Okay, Pinkie Pie we need you to get those instruments like the last time they were here. I'll get the tube, Applejack can get the accordion, Rainbowdash, you get the drums, Rarity get the violin and I'll get the sousaphone I have at my house."

"You have a sousaphone." Rainbowdash burst out laughing

"Hey I was first chair back in Magic Kindergarten". Twilight answered looking annoyed but she didn't have time to deal with Rainbowdash's antics right now not in the middle of a emergency of this capacity.

"Why do you think the parasprites look so different then the last time they were here." Applejack said noticing the sinister changes to these creatures.

"I don't know but we don't have time for that now. Now come on girls lets go."

Applejack turned towards her Applebloom. "You and your friends head on over to the barn it will be safe there."

"But sis we want to help." Applebloom pleaded with her sister.

"Yeah we could be Cutie Mark Crusader pest control." Scootaloo added seeming excited about finally getting her Cutie Mark.

"No can do, now get your flank on over now! Understand." Applejack said giving her Sister and friends a serious look.

"Scoots I agree with Applejack. We need to make sure your safe. I wouldn't be a good big sister If I like you get into danger." Rainbowdash added looking at Scootaloo who also looked disappointed. Rainbowdash noticed and tried to lift her spirits. Rainbowdash put her hoof under Scootaloo chin and looked at her straight and eyes ."Even though I know you would totally be able to handle it." This made Scootaloo feel a little bit better. She gave Rainbowdash a big hug.

"Okay." Applebloom and Scootaloo responded but they still felt disappointed . However they did what there big sisters said and headed off, Sweetie Belle following them as well.

The mane six spread out to go collect the instruments. Twilight rushes as fast as she can back to her library home. Realizing that her hooves are not going to go as fast she would want them to she felt now it was time for her to once again use her Alicorn wings. Rainbowdash had for a few week now been teaching her to fly, she had been slowly getting the hang of it, but flying still made her uncomfortable, but, desperate times called for desperate measures and so she spread out her wings and began to glide in the air. She was a little nervous at first heights were not her favorite thing in world but she didn't look down and looked straight forward she flapped her wings as fast as she could towards her library home. When she was finally able to see her home from the distance Twilight began to slow down but she was not quick enough for she went face forward into the door knocking it over and crash landing into her home,

Twilight slowly walked up and stumbled a moment trying to regain her balance.

"So....that's what Rainbowdash experiences on a regular bases." Twilight was still a little dizzy, she shook her head a bit and managed to straighten up.

Twilight then went into her treasure trunk were she kept many of her old things when she was a little foal.

"Oh were is it were is it."

"Looking for this Twilight." She turns around to see Discord holding her sousaphone playing it badly.

"Give it!" Twilight said looking angry. "I don't have time for games Discord."

"Perhaps, but then again perhaps you should, one can learn much by playing games. Riddle me this, why do you think these little bugs are as black as night."

"I don't know maybe they aren't even parasprite but cousins, does it really matter." Twilight was getting impatient.

"Does it matter!" Discord scourged. "Oh how typical of you Twilight and like most Ponies in general, never willing to expand you mind. Always thinking of two dimensional answers to obviously three dimensional questions. And you question why I doubt your Princess abilities."

"Discord! Twilight said gritting her teeth she was getting sick of this.

Discord just rolled his eyes in annoyance and handed Twilight the instrument. " Fine I see you are as stubborn as your teacher. But! Don't say I didn't warn you." With that he disappeared again in a bright light.

Twilight strapped the sousaphone on to her back and rushed back outside only to her horror to fin a nearly ravaged Ponyville. Many of the inhabitants were screaming and running away for there lives from the attacking monster parasprites . Twilight then rushed as fast as she could to find her friends. It took only a few minutes to find her friends gathered back at the Café. Pinkie Pie holding up all the instruments as possible. Spike was with them.

"Spike what are you doing here." Twilight asked.

"I got this letter from Princess Celestia."

Twilight used her horn to read the letter.

"What does it say Twilight." Rarity asked looking curious.

"It says we need to come to Canterlot at once the Parasprite are ravaging the city as well"

Twilight though about what to do for a few minutes, panicking a little as she saws these little monsters terrorize the city she loved.

"Okay Pinkie Pie will use the music the parade the parasprite all the way to Canterlot..."

"Wait we want these pests to go to Canterlot." Rainbowdash interrupted.

"I wasn't finished." Twilight seemed annoyed. "Will take them to Canterlot so we can gather the ones infesting there and parade them all the way out to the everfree forest."

"Oh. That makes sense." Rainbowdash understood now.

Twilight Sparkles turned to Pinkie Pie. "Okay Pinkie Pie.... Hit it!"

Pinkie Pie then began playing the music she played the last time Ponyville suffered an infestation such as this. All the parasprites stopped in there tracks to stare at Pinkie Pie playing the several instruments. They looked at her for a few seconds...... Then they went back to destroying to the town.

The group looked shocked. Pinkie Pie music had worked the last time these creatures infested the town. Twilight wondered what happened.

"Told you it wouldn't work." Discord appeared in a flash of light much to the annoyance of everyone except Fluttershy.

"See Twilight, I told you, but you decided to use your small two dimensional mind as you always do instead of expanding it. If only Ponies or other creatures for that matter were capable of it. Although I must admit these creatures do have a knack for style. I think Ponyville hasn't look this good since well... I was ruling it."

Discord just beamed at all the Chaos that was going around the town. Although reformed some old habit still died hard for him.

Discord however eventually noticed that Twilight and others except for Fluttershy just gave Discord nasty looks.

Discord merely rolled his eyes. "Oh fine then, here perhaps this could help."

Discord then snaps his fingers and conjures up one the small parasprite is his hand and puts it in Twilights hoof.

"Look at it, notice the color's of it's eyes the darkness of it's skin the fact it shoots laser beams. Also notice the fact it seems to be very angry at something, or someone. Come on Twilight think! Prove to me that you were meant to be a Alicorn Princess. Think!"

Twilight examined the parasprite for a moment.

"Go on Twilight use that horn of yours, examine it. Expand your mind even to the smallest extent."

Twilight didn't want to listen to Discord but she felt he had a point. Twilights horn began to glow as a small beam began to go over the small creature like a scanner. Twilight seemed a bit horrified but what she was sensing within this poor creatures.

"I sense.... A great evil has corrupted this poor thing." Twilight said as she continued to examine the creature in her hoof.

"Yes! Very good Twilight. But how do you defeat them."

Twilight began to think about it for a while.

"Come on Twilight think, consider options that you would never consider, consider options you would use in the most dire of situations, such as a situation involving me." Discord said trying to trigger something in Twilights brain.

Twilight continued to think about for a while struggling to figure out the answer. But then finally it hit her like a lighting bolt. "The Reform Spell!"

"Excellent. Now allow me to give you the proper text." Discord then put his arm inside his throat and pulled out several soggy pieces of paper from out of his stomach.

"Ewwwh" The mane six said.

"Discord darling that is disgusting." Rarity was repulsed by such uncouth behavior

"Fine." Discord snapped his fingers and the paper magically dried and returned to normal.

Twilight took the pieces of paper and turned to Spike. "Spike, send a letter to Princess Celestia informing her we need a reform spell large enough to blast all the parasprites and change them back."

"Got it." Spike started writing the letter and once he was finished used his magical fire to send it. "Now what do we do." Spike wondered.

Spike got the answer when Spike burped up the letter with the royal ceil on it. Spike opened it up and read it. "Princess Celestia understands and will begin working on it but it will still take time before one can be cast."

"Blast!" Twilight said looking disappointed.

"You better hurry up and think of something else Twilight, or Ponyville will be nothing more sticks." Discord said seeming to enjoy all the chaos going around him.

Twilight didn't know what to do she didn't know what the solution to the problem was. Then eventually she knew what she had to do.

"To bad I'm not allowed to help." Discord taunted.

"Twilight I think you should let him help." Fluttershy said

"Yeah come on Twi, it's our only option." Applejack added

"Yes darling please swallow your pride and just ask him." Rarity said.

Her friends continued to plead with Twilight trying to get her to say the words Discord oh so wanted her to say. Finally she couldn't take it anymore. Twilight slowly looked up at Discord who was floating above enjoying the chaos. She took a big gulp and said very slowly. "Um Discord, maybe you could contain all the parasprites into a energy field until the spell is ready."

"That depends, do you .... need me to." Discord said enjoying every minute of this humiliation for Twilight.

"I need you" Twilight whispered lightly like Fluttershy would.

"Sorry I didn't quiet catch that" Discord said holding his hand to his ear.

"I NEED YOU!" Twilight shouted as loud as her lungs would allow to.

"Very well." Discord said calmly. He then slowly razed his eagle claw and snapped his fingers then all of a sudden the parasprites were being sucked into a large dome that magically appeared like a vacuumed cleaner did with lint. Eventually they were all stuffed together in this large dome fidgeting around trying to escape. Calm eventually returned.

"Thank you Discord." Twilight said.

"Oh no trouble at all, although I will miss the fun chaos that happened, but I guess it's not really that fund if I'm not causing it."

Fluttershy gave Discord a disapproving look.

"And because It hurts my friends and that's not good because friends are supposed to care about friends."

Fluttershy smiled. Discord smiled back.

"Well now what Twi?" Applejack asked

"We still need to head to Canterlot to report to Princess Celestia about what happened maybe and also about what I found when I examined the parasprite."

"Okay then what are we waiting for. Lets go!" Rainbowdash then began to fly off the rest of her friends following behind her. Twilight stayed behind for a few seconds and turned around to look at Discord.

"So did I prove myself to you yet." Twilight asked.

"Nope." Discord said casually.

"But...But I figured it out" Twilight said seeming shocked.

"Yes because I helped you. Until you can expand your mind without my help you'll never be a capable leader of this realm in my eyes." Discord said. "To put to you simply Mon Princess, your trial still hasn't ended, not by a long shot."

"Trial. What trial. Were not in court" Twilight looked genuinely confused on what Discord was talking about. But it was to late to ask him for he disappeared in a flash of light his final words were. "You'll see." Twilight just stood there to ponder what Discord was going on about but she couldn't wonder about it for to long for she had to head to Canterlot.

"UGH!" Twilight groaned in annoyance. "I hope I never have to ask for Discord's help again, he's more trouble than those evil Parasprite right now."

Back in the Equestrian desert the Black Pyramid stood there dominating the sands. The dark aura surrounding it.

Inside the chambers the Mumm-Ra sarcophagus slowly began to open up as the evil mummy slowly began to exit it dragging his body towards the cauldron.

The cauldron began to glow showing an image of an almost destroyed Ponyville and Canterlot. Mumm-Ra burst out in maniacal laughter as he saw all the destruction and carnage. Ma-Matt walked up to him wondering what all the commotion was all about. Mumm-Ra picked him up to show him the view of the cauldron.

"Look at all the carnage by devilish dog. This is only a mere taste of what I have in store for these miserable ponies. Now I will begin with phase two of my plan."

"AND WHAT PLAN IS THAT!" the eyes of the ancient spirits of evil activated. "WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU HAVE IN MIND MUMM-RA WE ARE CURIOUS TO KNOW.

"Oh come now masters, a sorcerer of my caliber never reveals his secretes but lets just say... I'm taking about to use a classic trick when the day done."

"VERY WELL MUMM-RA WE WILL BE WATCHING YOU." The spirits eyes dimmed down.

The cauldron image changed to show Discord walking around Ponyville examining the carnage and to some extent enjoying it.

"Ah Discord, I know what you are up to. Do not think I do not know your capabilities or you secrets. Your power is immense but nothing compared to mine."

The Cauldron image changes again to show Twilight Sparkle and her friends heading on the train that leads to Canterlot.

"Enjoy this victory young Princess for the war if far from over and when it comes to time, lets just say, time means nothing to Mumm-Ra the Ever Living!" With that Mumm-Ra burst out in maniacal laughter as he began to implement his next move that will destroy this world once and for all.

Canterlot, a most magnificent city, it's elegance rivaled that of any place in all of Equestria. Which is of course why it was the capital of this great nation and the home of the two Princesses Celestia and Luna for the last 1000 years or so. Twilight and her friends eventually arrived to the city riding the Friendship express, the only train that travels to the known corners of Equstria, they got off and began making there way to the Castle.

"Ah I so do adore Canterlot its filled with class and style." Rarity said as she looked in awe at the wonderful architecture of the capital city.

"Yes Rarity you've told us a thousand times before." Applejack said looking annoyed "You say the same thing every time we come here and it's starting to get annoying. We get it, you love Canterlot! "

"Well, I can't help it this place is always so dazzling." Rarity said, giving Applejack a glaring look.

"Yeah and shiny." Pinkie Pie added as she bounced up and down the streets as she followed the others.

"Were almost at the Castle." Twilight added getting tired of all the bickering from her friends after a long trip.

The mane six finally made it to the city center but they were shocked to see what happened. The city center was practically destroyed. Most of the buildings were ruined and wrecked, Twilight and the others were shocked to see such destruction in what was once a beautiful city.

"How could those little bugs cause so much damage!" Rainbowdash said seeming shocked at the carnage. "I mean I know their destructive and all but never to this degree."

"Oh no, not Donut Joe's." Spike said as he ran to the ruins of his once favorite Donut Shop he then kneeled on the ground with a look of defeat on his face. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Spike screamed to the heavens.

"Look even the Castle has a few scratches on it." Twilight said pointing to the monumental Castle that towered over the city, but now it mystique seemed shattered as smoke and cracks protruded through it the outer walls had a few small wholes in them and some of the windows were smashed. "We better hurry!" Twilight said racing towards the castle gates, her friends following behind her.

They eventually made there way to the castle man throne chambers, the stain glass windows still were intact although there were a few cracks on the walls. Twilight looked at the ones of her and her friends deeds that were made in honor of there heroism. She especially took note of the one that was dedicated to her friends after the defeated Discord. She just starred at it for a moment remember how she felt almost defeated but in the end the strength of her friendship prevailed.

"Ah glorious memories." Said a voice in the distance.

Twilight looks at the picture as the stain glass Discord came to life. Twilight just looks annoyed to see him again after she had to ask him for help. "What is it with you Discord, is it follow Twilight day. "

"No... That's next Tuesday." Discord retorted laughing at his own joke. "No, like I said I was doing a few random things here and there and saw that you are now her in Canterlot... wait... let me guess... your here to see...Celestia, correct?"

"Well yes of course, why else would we be here." Twilight said tired of Discord's games.

"I don't know, maybe your here to see poor Donut Joe. Poor guy, even I loved that Donut joint of his. It was filled with creamy goodness."

"What do you want now Discord! It been a long day and I've been seeing you what seems like every six minutes."

"No it hasn't.... It's every 10 minutes, I check." Discord then show's Twilight a stop watch he had on his wrist "But anyway... It's time for another game, it's called guess what Celestia going to say."

Twilight just rolled her eyes she didn't have time for these type of games Princess Celestia was about to arrive with very serious information. 'Okay, Discord I give up what will Celestia say."

"Oh the usual. Blah, blah , blah evil power, blah, blah, blah, need to stop it, blah ,blah ,blah, elements of harmony are the deus ex machina. Like she always says." Discord tone changed from sarcastic to angry during that last bit of information.

"What's the point of this Discord." Twilight barked out. She turned around and saw that her other friends didn't seem to notice her conversation with a window.

"The point is!" Discord said sounding extremely serious now. "That the same actions won't solve every solutions. The Elements won't always be there to solve the problem. Maybe one day they won't work."

"The Elements always work because of the ....."

"The power of friendship I know, I know. " Discord finished her sentence with a hint of sarcasms in his voice "I don't deny that the power friendship is strong, trust me, I learned that lesson the hard way. I know it's advantages, bust sometimes friendship alone won't be able to handle it, sometimes other actions that even you will not want' to take will be necessary. Like I always said Twilight you'll prove to me you can be a Princess when you can solve a three dimensional problem with a three dimensional answer." With a flash the Discord in the window turned back into a picture leaving Twilight to ponder Discod's words but with a hint of salt.

Watching with his all seeing cauldron Mumm-Ra witness the dispute between Discord and Twilight as he does the dark and decayed wheels in his mind began to twist and turn.

"Bah! Discord, is becoming a nuisance, he must obviously know of my existence in the world. If not he has a inkling. His actions must obvious a ploy to thwart my evil intent on this planet. Thankfully for me Discord is one not to give a straight answer on anything so that will still allow me time. But I must be rid of that no good omnipotent entity soon before I can enact the final stages of my plan. But for now I must stick to the schedule. It is time for me to exit the confines of my crypt to begin the prelude to the destruction of this miserable world."

Mumm-Ra then faces the Ancient Spirits of Evil straight forward razes his arms in the air the wind on the Pyramid begins to blow on Mumm-Ra robes and bandages his eyes glow red and Mumm-Ra begins the incantation.

"Ancient Spirits of Evil...Transform this decayed form, to MUMM-RA, THE EVER, LIVING!" Then Mumm-Ra transforms from a decayed cloaked into a massive barbaric caped warrior demon wearing a ceremonial Egyptian helmet with two heads protruding from it. His muscles were immense the veins popping up from it. In the center of his chest a pink symbol with a twisted double headed snake on it." He then fly's off out of the Pyramid and into the distance.

Princess Celestia had arrived and to Twilight great surprise, Discord had predicted exactly what Celestia would say. Celestia said that the parasprite were corrupted be a evil that has not been seen in Equestria and that girls should have there Elements of Harmony with them.

"But princess were did this evil come from." Twilight wondered

"I am not sure, but something does seem familiar about it, but I cannot put my hoof on it." Princess Celestia said. "But I know that whatever it is you three will be able to defeat it I have my faith of you."

"Thank you Princess." Twilight said. "What should we should now."

"I would wish for you and your friends to stay here for now, I have arranged for you to stay here in the castle .I would personally hope Twilight that you would assist in the reform spell to change back the parasprites."

"Of course princess." Twilight bowed as she and her friends exited the throne room and headed off to there rooms with there Elements of Harmony now on them. Princess Luna was entering the room as Twilight and friends were leaving, as soon as Twilight entered the main hallways she a small flash of light appear on her shoulder and turn out to be a miniaturized Discord.

"Discord now what!" Twilight whispered angrily.

"Stay outside the hallway near the entrance to the throne room and maybe you'll learn something." Discord said as he disappeared in a flash of light again. Twilight at first resisted Discord advice but then she noticed Celestia and Luna looking at each other as if someone had died on them. Twilight peaked through the crack on the door to listen in.

"Sister why didn't you tell them the truth, you know he bounds to find them. Better to know now then wait." Luna said.

"I know, I know. But I couldn't bare to tell them about him. His power can spread terror even to the strongest of souls. I didn't want to worry them."

"Sister." Luna said sternly. "They are strong, they won't make the same mistakes we did with him."

"I know but you know what he is capable of, what if he plans to do it again." Celestia said.

"They won't let that happen. Plus I'm surprised normally I'm the one who has doubts." Luna said seeming worried about here sister.

"I know but I just don't want to go through that pain again." Celestia said looking at Luna with great emotion.

As Twilight watched this exchange through the crack in the door. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her teacher had for not only lied to her about the information but doubted her abilities. Twilight felt her heard being crushed by a giant bolder. Then Discord appeared on Twilight's shoulder again and learned toward her ear. "Well did you learn something."

"Yeah, I learned that my teacher may not have faith in me." Twilight said her eyes almost tearing up.

Discord seemed a little surprised this wasn't the emotion she was hoping for. "Um....Ah oh."

Deep in a mountainous regions of Equestria A large Doorway was imbedded into the side of one of the mountains the only visible structure that could be seen for miles, it was the gates of Tartarus. In the dark skies above Mumm-Ra descends from the skies and lands on the rocky terrains near the door. He stares at it for a brief moment trying to get a good of view of this mighty gateway.

"Ah the entrance to Tartarus, one of the few places in Equestria were creatures that come close to my evil caliber lie." Mumm-Ra though about that statement for a few seconds. "Well not that close, but good enough for my needs right now." Mumm-Ra slowly begins to slowly put his hand towards the door metal exterior ready to open it and lets out its evil content within, but before he could touch the door a rumbling sound could be heard from a distance. He turned and saw a giant three headed dog Cerberus heading his way along with a army of several Minotaur's.

"Stop him!" Shouted the head Minotaur.

"I should have known." Mumm-Ra then put two fingers in his mouth a gave whistle. In the sky a vortex opened up and through it Mumm-Ra mangy decayed bull dog arrived ready for battle.

"Ma-Mutt. Sick him!" Mumm-Ra pointed at Cerberus as Ma-Mutt headed toward him. Ma-Mutt using his own dark powers grew three times his size in order to be on equal footing with the three headed hound. He charged at Cerberus and attacked him ferociously, Ma-Mutts claws dig deep into Cerberus fur causing a large pools of blood to burst out. Cerberus tried to strike back even using his three heads to try and pin Ma-Mutt down but Ma-Mutt used his mystical energies to wound Cerberus finally striking the final blow when he grabbed Cerberus middle head by the neck and biting hard on it until it cracked causing the entire body to collapse.

Mumm-Ra on the other dealt with several of the minotaur's going fighting hand to hand. Several of the minotaur's were able to handle there own for the most parts matching Mumm-Ra own physical prowls. When Mumm-Ra noticed that going hand to hand was going win him the day he looked up into the sky. "Ancient Spirits Evil, give the ancient weapon which has one several victories in the name of...Evil!' The sky began to darken and turn red as the clouds began to swirl In the sky. The four pares of eyes of the Ancient Spirits of Evil appeared in the sky signaling their magical energies had arrived . They began to concentrate all their dark energies it in the center of the sky as a fire began to swirl around and around and head towards Mumm-Ra. Once Mumm-Ra grabbed a hold of the fire as it dispersed to morph into a double edged jagged sword with a golden plated handle on it in the shape of two coiled serpents .

"Ah, the Sword of Plun-Dar, my old weapon, the greatest force of evil in...the universe. " He turns and stares at the Minotaur's and gives them all sinister looks. He twirls around his sword and charges towards them slashing each and everyone of the creatures until they were nothing more than sliced up bodies on the ground.

Mumm-Ra just smiled once the battle was over. "Excellent work my loyal hound." Ma-Mutt returned to his normal dog sized as it ran towards his master. "Now, my loyal dog, be ready to see a great horde of darkness descend upon the land once again as it did A thousand years ago." Mumm-Ra slowly began to extend his hand towards the gate using his magical energy. As soon as his decayed hand touched the metal doorway a burst of light energy propelled Mumm-Ra pushing him a few feet away from the door.

"ARGH!" He screamed angrily as he recovered from the magical wound. Mumm-Ra fired one of his magic energy bolts at the doorway but to no avail the protection around the door remained tight and impenetrable. The evil one got back up rubbing his hands of the burns. "It appears Ma-Mutt that princess Celestia has continued to allow the ancient spells, that has kept this placed locked up. Sadly, my knowledge of Tartarus does not extend deep and I do not wish to disturb Ancient Spirits of Evil for fear of being looked upon with weakness."

Ma- Mutt whimpered and tugged at the leg of his master. Mumm-Ra just gave him a sinister looking smile.

"There, there my horrid hound. Your master still has a ace in the whole. I will merely infiltrate the Princesses Castle right under her horn. And I will do it in a form she would never expect."

Then you hear bones begin to crack and change shape as Mumm-Ra physical form changed. Mumm-Ra muscular bony hands began to lose its fingers, Mumm-Ra crocked teeth began to rescind, his blood red eyes started to expand and become pupils, his skin turned from ragged blue to purple. Ma-Mutt looked scared as he saw his all powerful master turned into the spitting image of the unicorn Twilight Sparkle.

Mumm-Ra sounded like himself when he spoke "I will enter the castle as Princess Celestia so called...." his voice then changed to sound like Twilight's "Most priced pupil Twilight Sparkle."

In her own private suite at the castle Twilight Sparkle paced back in forth in a panic like state, she had been acting like this for hours, what she heard back in the throne room really shattered her moral. Discord had been with her for most of the time not quiet sure what to do in this situation. Feelings were never really a strong point for him, except for madness and laughter but even those still didn't make much sense to him. Even though being friends with Fluttershy might have gained him some experience of the realm of feelings, this still was not his strong point.

"Uh...Twilight, this was... not the reaction I was hoping for." Discord said not sure what words to use.

"Princess Celestia has no faith in me..:" Twilight said still in a state of panic and heart ache. "She's hiding that the fact there is a evil force in Equestria and she doesn't think I can handle it. She won't even tell me."

"Twilight she didn't say that she only said that she only wanted to keep you safe that's all. The question you should be is what is the evil you face. When someone questions your ability you need to prove them wrong, perhaps a lesson you will learn when dealing with me." Discord said, his tone turning from comforting to menacing.

Twilight just looked at Discord whipping the tears from her eyes and getting a grip on herself. "Yeah, I guess your write, but still I mean I still can't believe Princess Celestia would hide something from me, doesn't she trust me."

"Maybe she does or maybe she doesn't. Who knows, leadership and authority can bring out the worst in people. That's why I never seek such things in life. I much prefer the life of freedom and chaos to live life in full anarchy." Discord responded returning back to his imp like self.

"Your a strange creature Discord? One minute your comforting me, the next your back to making threats." Twilight responded viewing him with suspicion.

"Well randomness is a key component of chaos, and being the Spirit of Chaos and Disorder that's just one of my duties. And besides you don't..." Discord was cut off, he shuttered a few moments and looked around the room as if searching for someone.

"What's wrong." Twilight said looking worried.

"I... I don't know. I felt a disturbance in the harmony." Discord responded

"A disturbance in the harmony?" Twilight said noting the fact that, that line seemed a bit cheesy even for someone like Discord.

"That's just something I've always wanted to say, but no seriously... something feels wrong," and in a flash Discord was gone leaving Twilight to wonder what was happing, but all she knew was that she a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach right now.

The corridors of the palace were dark, quiet and empty. The only light coming from the torches that were on the walls of the castle. Then clopping sounds were heard from a distance. On the walls a shape of monstrous demon could be scene and as it began to turn a corner it morphed into a normal unicorn pony. But it was not a normal unicorn pony. It was Mumm-Ra disguised in the form of Twilight Sparkle walking along the halls of castle searching for something important.

"Ah the hallways of Canterlot Castle I haven't been here in centuries. Although last time I remember there being a lot more rubble". Mumm-Ra laughed silently to himself as he remembered all the horrors he had brought to this land when arrived. The disguised mummy continued his journey through the halls then he hears more hoof steps heading his way.
Then from another corner of the hallways a yellow earth pony wearing a cowboy hat emerged.

"Twilight what yah doin up." Applejack asked seeing Twilight in the shadows of the halls.

Mumm-Ra was worried. Although he would never cower to the likes of mere pony mortal, he could not afford to blow his cover not now, not yet.

"Uh... Well... My dear friend... I was just ...taking a mere walk around the castle, hoping to head to the archives to do some reading."

Applejack smiled not realizing that who she was her best friend was actually the most darkest creature on earth. "Well I should have known Twilight, always doin your fancy book learnin and such. Well I'll join you I was heading out myself to going to the Canterlot royal Apple orchards I heard there are the greatest apples in all of Equestria and I want to see if they live up to that claim "

"Oh, great." Mumm-Ra said gritting his new pony teeth trying to keep the ruse going as long as possible. Mumm-Ra then notices that Applejack had a golden necklace on around her neck. It was a element of harmony he recognized those ancient artifacts anywhere.

"Hey Twilight, I just realized where's your crown." Applejack asked staring at Twilights head.

"Well... my crown... um." Mumm-Ra needed to think of a good excuse and quick, then he got it. "Well those things can get so heavy and besides we don't need our elements on us all the time, right?"

Mumm-Ra new pony mane started to sweat he wasn't sure if she was buying it."

"Ah, I see, your right Twi, these things do get a little heavy from time to time, probably since they're made of gold and such." Applejack just smiled and continue walking down the corridor

"Excellent she bought my trick, these Ponies are so predicable and easily manipulated to believe anything especially by their friends." The though amused Mumm-Ra so.

The two of them continued down the corridors, Applejack still unaware that she was walking with a imposter of her friend.

"You know...." Continued Applejack. "I really hope those apples live up to their claim you know how much I can't stand dishonest advertisen. Like this there was this one time I saw a salespony not as bad as the Flim Flam brothers of course but he still felt shady well any way....."

This one seems to represent the Element of Honesty, surprising she's has already been tricked by two of my lies so far, perhaps she is blinded by her own ability to see the truth she is unable to see the lies that are walking right in front of her.

Applejack continued the conversation much to the displeasure of Mumm-Ra, however being a thousand year old mummy had its advantages. Mumm-Ra had learn for the most part the skill of patients and was able to block out most Applejacks nonsense. Throughout most of the conversation he nodded or said "Yes" or "I see" trying his best to pretend that he was listing.

"So you won't believe what happened yesterday my little sister Applebloom....."

This caught Mumm-Ra's ear. A little sister eh. This could be useful for any future interaction between us.

"Yes." Mumm-Ra said trying to sound genuinely interested as Twilight would. "How is your.... dear sister Applebloom"

"She's great, now were was I ah yes.... well you see last week she was at Rarity's to see Sweetiebelle, Scootaloo was also there as well although she couldn't stay long since she and Rainbowdash were goin to some sisterly things."

"So some of the other Elements of Harmony had sisters too how interesting"

Mumm-Ra much to his annoyance had to listen about a ridiculous story about the elements sisters and there pathetic Club called the Cutie Mark Crusaders and how the did something evolving glitter paint and for some strange reason a industrial sized hair dryer. All he remembered was that it didn't end well.

Finally the two of them reached another corner of the hall that led to the archives of Canterlot Castle. However to the annoyance of Mumm-Ra two guards stood at the entrance. However he was hoping that since he was disguised a Alicorn Princess he would be able to bypass them. He walks up to the door way and is about trying to remain as calm and collected as possible. He almost had his hoof in the room before the two guards blocked the entrance with there spears.

"Sorry this place is under strict lockdown as of this moment." said one of the guards authoritatively.

Mumm-Ra disguised at Twilight twinge a bit.

WHAT! HOW DARE HE BLACK MY PATH! Now, now clam yourself Mumm-Ra, I cant allow for any mishaps. Use your manipulation skills.

Mumm-Ra in the form of Twilight took a deep breath and began to speak with Twilight's voice. "I am here on the on orders by Princess Celestia."

"Sorry Princess, no entry permitted" responded the guard.

"Ah, to bad Twi." Applejack noted.

Mumm-Ra's patients was wearing thin, he could not be kept from the archives they held information of vital importance to plan. If simple authorization from the Princess herself would not suffice then perhaps force will. he walks up to the guard looks at him straight in the eye and quietly whispers to him so Applejack would not hear and get suspicious. "Listen her you miserable little grunt, I am one of the most powerful unicorns on this world and I can easily turn you into something that can easily get squished, so if you don't let me in I would be considering a big career change, as a INSECT!"

The Guards then gave each other a nervous look.

"Very well, you can enter." The Guard responded.

Applejack looked surprised and curious on what just happened. "Geese Twi, how did you convince them to let you in."

Mumm-Ra just turned around and looked at Applejack. "I just used my diplomatic skills, have fun with your apple trees friend."

Mumm-Ra then entered into the dark corridors of the archives leaving Applejack in a bit of bewilderment of her friends strange behavior unaware of the real dangers that were going on.

As soon as everyone was gone one of the guards opened his mouth and said. "Well... looks like that crown finally gotten to her head."

"What crown? She wasn't wearing a crown." asked the other guard.

"It was a metaphor you moron." The guard answered looking annoyed.

"Oh."

After a few minutes of traveling up a few sets of winding stairs Mumm-Ra finally entered the archives. The room was a dusty and old, filled with all sorts of books and scrolls that were thousands of years old. Still in the form of Twilight Sparkle, Mumm-Ra looked around, searching for the right text that was useful to him.

"Lets see," he mumbled now in his regular low booming voice although it was coming out of Twilitgt's mouth. "Now where's is it." Mumm-Ra looked through several of the scrolls and files throughout the room. He continued to shuffle though the archives for what felt like hours until finally he found what he was looking for.

"Finally." He said giving an evil looking grin. "The way to open the gates of Tartarus, and unleash the evil within," he looked at the old looking scroll scheming though it. "Interesting. Looks like a change of plans is order then." Then in a instant he turned around sensing a presence in the room. Mumm-Ra merely shrugged as he slowly turned around to look at the scroll again and there floating in front of him was Discord!

"Hello."

Mumm-Ra was shocked to see the spirit of chaos in his presence. "YOU!" he said with Twilight's voice. "Uh... Discord, what are you doing here."

"Oh please don't try and trick me, I can see right though you little disguise, demon." Discord said mocking Mumm-Ra.

Mumm-Ra decided to no longer continue with the charade he knew this creature was not going to easily swayed, when he spoke it was with his normal voice again. "So! You have discovered my secret, spirit of chaos and disorder."

"Yes I did, although to be honest it was not hard, I could sense you evil presence from a mile away. Your not very good at hiding are you might I suggest next time try hiding in stone, not good for the muscles to be sure but a better disguise then this." Discord just smiled as he was enjoying mocking this so called Ever Living Lord of Evil.

Mumm-Ra merely glared at him. "Do not underestimate spirit, I have lived for a thousand years, I have the power of the Ancient Spirit of Evil on my side the very nature of darkness, evil and terror runs through my blood. What do you have!"

"Me." Discord said smiling. "I just so happen to belong to a race of omnipotent being who happen to be all knowing an all seeing, oh sure they are as boring as Celestia, but we are still more powerful then someone of your... inferior race."

"You seem smug." Mumm-Ra commented.

"Well yes, I guess that's one of the drawbacks of being a entity, or pro's I don't which. And now, I will alert the castle of your presence."

"How." Mumm-Ra asked looking curious.

"You'll see." Discord gave Mumm-Ra an mischievous smile as he vanished in a flash of light. Mumm-Ra new he did not have much time left, he decided to exit the archives and leave the castle as fast as he could.

Applejack then re-entered the castle holding a juicy red apple in one of her hooves. "Yum, those Apples are some of the best I ever did taste, sure not as good as the one's on Sweet Apple Archers, but dang close." As Applejack was about to turn around a corner she saw Twilight walking around the halls, this time she was wearing her element crown.

"Twilight, you still walking around." Applejack asked.

"Uh, no I just started." Twilight said sounding confused.

"What do you mean I saw you a while ago, you were heading to the archives and the guards wouldn't let you in but then you persuaded them to."

Twilight looked lost, she had no idea what her friend Applejack was even talking about, Twilight had been in her room most of the time trying to figure out what the great evil was, since she couldn't figure it out herself she decided to confront Princess Celestia and demand to know what was really going on. Then it hit her.

"Applejack," she said slowly a look of worry on her face. "Did you say you saw me earlier."

"Uh, yeah, that's what I just said." Applejack said now sounding a bit annoyed by the repetition of the questions being asked.

"Uh oh!" Twilight face turned grim

Then from the distance a large crashing sound could be heard, something hard and heavy had been knocked over.

"What in tarnation." Applejack asked.

"Come on!" Twilight ran in the direction of the crashing sound.

Rubbing his mane Mumm-Ra got up after mysteriously running into a suite of armor that appeared out of nowhere. In the distance he heard the sounds of galloping hooves heading toward him he ran as fast as he could trying to avoid begin detected by any prying pony eyes.

"Hey stop there!." he heard on of the Ponies say.

Mumm-Ra tried to hoof it as fast as he could, he would have preferred to fight but he hopped to keep his cover as long as possible.

He turned a corner a continued running down the Castle's wide halls, then above him he saw a blue Pegasus dashing toward him. He ran into the nearest door only to discover it was the door to the main throne room. He was cornered for then Twilight and all six of her friends who had apparently caught up with her during the chase now had him surrounded. They all looked at him shocked probably because he was still disguised as their friend Twilight.

"Who are you." Twilight demanded.

Mumm-Ra went head forward towards Twilight jumping onto her and knocking her onto the ground kicking her crown off. The two of them got into tussle making it difficult for the others to distinguish one from the other. Eventually the two of them separated however they were not mixed together.

"Uh, which ones the real one." Rainbowdash asked having trouble figuring out which is which.

"Guys it's me." said one of the Twilight's

"No I'm the real Twilight." said the other Twilight.

"No, I am."

Then the other Twilight jumped on the other Twilight and began kicking her in the face.

"My head hurts." Pinkie Pie said looking at both Twilights back and forth as they continue to go at each other.

"Guy's, help me." Said one Twilight.

"No help me!' Demanded another

Then in a flash Discord appeared watching the two Twilights go at it with great delight. "Oh, even though I'm reformed I still can't help it but love the Chaos of the world, and this is the most chaotic thing I've seen all day.Choices, choices, choices. Pick the wrong one and the consequences will be catastrophic. Oh what fun!" Discord was beaming with delight.

"Discord which ones' the real one, you good in chaotic situations." Rainbowdash asked.

"Yes, I am but, I don't know..." Discord said seeming reluctant. "Does Twilight, need me again."

"Oh not this again." All the Mane Six said getting annoyed by Discord's antiques.

"Okay fine!" Discord said. "Look perhaps if you six are the close friends you all claim to be, then a test of character is required here. Ask some questions that only the real Twilight will know." Discord snapped his fingers separating the two Twilights and teleporting them side by side. "Okay, Rainbowdash ask the first question."

"What my dream in life?" Rainbowdash asked.

"To be a Wonderbolt." The Twilight on the right asked.

"Correct." Rainbowdash said looking pleased.

" One to Zero." Discord said keeping score. He snapped his fingers and a little scoreboard appeared floating above the two Twilights heads. "Okay Applejack your next."

"What's my sister's name?" Applejack asked

"Applebloom." answered the Twilight on the left

"One to One." Discord said again as he snapped his fingers updating the scoreboard."Okay, now I shall ask the last question, the final strike. What am I."

The Twilight on the left was the first to answer. "Your belong to a race of omnipotent entities."

Discord smiled. "The Twilight on the right is real Twilight, the one on the left is a imposter." he pointed his finger towards the false Twilight.

Mumm-Ra was furious, he had been tricked by a mere imp, he finally had enough of this nuances, it was time to show no more mercy, he then spook in his normal voice. "Very well, it is time to show you the face of evil."

A dark atmosphere then began to descend upon the room, an evil energy surrounded Mumm-Ra still disguised body, then the energy consumed him and turned him back into his Ever Living form. The ponies looked horrified they have never seen something so horrible and monstrous, it's red eyes glaring into them.

"What.. who are you." Twilight asked cowering at fear at the Evil One's monstrous presence.

"I am, MUMM-RA, THE EVER, LIVING!" Mumm-Ra bellowed loudly the room amplifying his voice ten fold. "And you will meet, your... Doom! HA! HA! HA! HA!"

Mumm-Ra glared at the Mane Six, his red eyes piercing their very souls with fear. The Evil One was hungry for blood and ready for battle, he drew out his mighty double edged Sword as it's evil energies began surging through the room to the horror of the Mane Six.

Twilight looked around the room searching for her crown, she new they would be unable to stop this monster without it for the elements of harmony would not work without all six of them on. Finally she saw her crown behind Mumm-Ra, it must have fallen there during their tussle together. Twilight tried to use her levitation magic in order to grab it.

"Not so fast." Mumm-Ra bellowed as he struck Twilight with his magical energies, inflicting much pane on the purple unicorn.

Discord tried to step in ready to snap his finger and use his chaotic magic on Mumm-Ra, but Mumm-Ra was to quick using his own dark magic he managed to incase Discord in a magical sphere much to the draconequus displeasure.

"Hey let me out." Discord screamed. "I'm claustrophobic, I don't like it in here."

"Girls! We have to get that crown." Twilight said.

"Were on it." Rainbowdash said ready for a battle. Although they weren't sure what they were up against Twilights friends new that together that they would be able to take down this monster.

Mumm-Ra was not worried, he had dealt with more powerful foes in his day than these six miserable creatures. The Ponies charged at him trying to distract him while Twilight went for the crown. However they were overpowered by Mumm-Ra own physical and well as magical abilities.

"Don't worry I got him." Applejack yelled as she got out her trusted lasso rope and was about to tie it around him. But Mumm-Ra using his abilities turned the rob into a monstrous serpent, as soon as Applejack noticed she spit out the newly transformed snake and tired to dodge it's fangs.

"How in Equestria..." before Applejack could finish her statement she continued to try and dodge the snakes attacks. The snake began to close in ready to bite Applejack with it's poisonous fangs. "Uh, I could use a little help here." Applejack was nervous she new one wrong step and she was a goner. The serpent then struck it's fangs extending ready to taste Pony flesh but before it could Rainbowdash zoomed in an saved Applejack from the serpent venemon.

"Thanks RD." Applejack said with much appreciation.

"No problem AJ." Rainbowdash said as she put Applejack back on the ground a safe distance from the snake. "Now lets get back into this."

Twilight continued to sneak around the room as she was so close to getting back her crown that contained the elements of Harmony as her friends continued with little avail to stop Mumm-Ra. She had to hurry and save her friends before they were got seriously hurt. She was so close to the crown now all she had to do was extend her hoof and put it on, but before she could two monstrous blue decayed feet appeared in front of her. She looked up as the towering figure of Mumm-Ra looked down at her menacingly. He then grabs Twilight by the winds and brings her up to his level so he can look at her face to face.

"So, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Celestia most prized pupil, one bearer of the Element of Harmony, now at the mercy of Mumm-Ra."

"I'm not in your mercy." Twilight said trying to struggle out of Mumm-Ra tight grip.

"Oh yes your are my dear. The only reason I might let you and your friends live, is because I want to see your faces as your beloved Equestria burns beneath my feet." He then turns to face the other Ponies who look beaten and tired by their battle with Mumm-Ra "Soon you will see the rivers run red with the blood of all of your fellow Ponies. You will see the carcasses of those of who I've slaughter. Your sun will be extinguished your moon will be turned to dust, and this world will feel the fate of all those who oppose the will of MUMM-RA! HA! HA! HA! HA! "

Twilight could not believe what she was hearing she had never seen such evil such malice from anyone, not even her greatest enemies had such darkness in their hearts. But this, this was not normal, this was something different. But she could let that stop her, she knew what she had to do.

"NO!" Twilight said stopping Mumm-Ra insane laugher as he turned to face Twilight.

"What! Did you say?"

"I said, NO!" Twilight said more defiantly than ever. "You'll never destroy us, as long as we hold friendship in hearts that power will overcome any of your evil."

Mumm-Ra merely scoffed at Twilight. "Oh please do you know how many of these speeches I've heard over the centuries', guess what, they all died in the end, and I....still live. Your are nothing more then a mere mortal !"

"Well then I guess it's time we break that cycle and show you what mortals can really do." Twilight said and then in a flash a magic surge came around her as well as the rest of her friends. The elements of harmony activated there magical energies beginning to surge across the room. The crown as well began to surge with magical energy as it began to float into the air and land on Twilight's head. Mumm-Ra immediately let go of Twilight and began to slowly move back away from the Mane Six as they all began to float in the air there elements gaining more and more strength.

With all Six Elements activated the magical energies combined to create a large Rainbow that struck like a lighting bolt at Mumm-Ra causing him great agony and pane. Then finally like dust he disappeared.

Slowly Twilight and the others began to drift back towards the ground and return back to normal. The Snake Mumm-Ra created returned back into a rope, and Discord was released from that magical sphere he was trapped in.

"Did we do it." Fluttershy asked looking around the room.

"I think so girls. I think so." Twilight said taking a deep breath allowing for a bit of calm.

But then slowly a cold high pitched laugh began to echo around the room, as it did a bunch of dust began to swirl around concentrating itself in the center of the throne room. The dust began to pile on one another forming a certain shape, and the laugher got louder and louder.

"WERE EVIL EXIST!"

Then the dust began to turn into flesh and continue to morph until finally It took final form.

"MUMM-RA LIVES!"

Mumm-RA was back looking completely undamaged and unharmed. Twilight and the others were shocked.

"How...How is this possible, the Elements..." Twilight tried to find reason behind what was going on. Mumm-Ra merely laughed arrogantly at her.

"You miserable little horse. Did you honestly believe that you could defeat me! Mumm-Ra THE EVER LIVING!." he said continuing to laugh insanely.

"But how!" Twilight said looking completely stunned.

"Simple!" Mumm-Ra said narrowing his eyes at Twilight. "Because, like it or not. I'm am a crucial part of ...harmony."

Twilight looked stunned how could something this evil, this terrible, this monstrous be a part of harmony. It didn't make any sense what so ever.

Mumm-Ra took note of Twilight's shocked confusion, He tried to explain. "Look, where there is good, there must be evil correct."

"I...I guess so." Twilight said not sure were this was heading and whether she wanted a explanation or not.

"Correct. There cannot be one without the other, they form a natural balance thus they create harmony."

"But that still doesn't explain why we can't destroy you..." Twilight added.

Mumm-Ra merely smiled at her sinisterly. "The reason my dear is because... I am the Ever living source of evil. My powers my energy, my life! Comes from the force of evil itself, I am it's physical representative on this universe blessed of course by the Ancient Spirits of Evil. Thus you cannot destroy me with your elements because if you do that, you cause harm in.... harmony" Mumm-Ra laughed at his own joke. "But...that doesn't mean I can destroy the Elements of Harmony!" He quickly drew his Sword and fired a large concentration of fire at the Mane Six. Twilight deflected it however with a shield spell.

Before Mumm-Ra could strike again Princess Celestia and Luna burst through the door ready to strike at the power demon Mummy. However Mumm-Ra actually seemed pleased to see them.

"Ah, Princess Celestia and Luna... It has been to long. I see that you two of reconciled your differences for last I saw you, there were...family issues." Mumm-Ra giggled a bit after that last sentence.

"Enough!." Celestia said sounding quiet ferocious, something Twilight had never seen in her teacher before. "We will not let you destroy Equestria. We defeated you before and will do it again."

Mumm-Ra merely laughed at the Princesses threat's. "HA! HA!, you were barley able to stop me before and you had the Elements of Harmony on your side. What' makes you think you'll be able to stop me this time now that I actually care about you miserable world."

"THOU ARE A WRETCH! THOU DARE SPEAKEST TO US IN SUCH A MANNER" Luna yelled.

"Temper, temper Luna, don't want to be banished to the moon again do you?" Mumm-Ra was enjoying taunting the Princesses to no end.

"I would not have been banished if not for you." Luna accused him.

"Me! It was your own vanity that got you in trouble, I merely gave you a choice." Mumm-Ra said.

While the Princesses were mocking each other, Twilight and the others watched. Obviously Mumm-Ra and Celestia and Luna must have had a past with one another. Twilight was especially curious to know the truth behind all of this.

"Now! I'm tired of all this, time to end it." Mumm-Ra then summoned all his energies and blasted it at the Princesses who fired their magical energies as well. The two magical energies locked on to one another, each of them trying to break the others will. Eventually both field broke causing each to lose a bit of energy. Mumm-Ra himself started to get a bit tired. He looked a bit weak.

"I cannot keep this up, it's time for me to leave"

Mumm-Ra looked up as he noticed that all the Ponies plus Discord were ganging up on him. He merely smiled at them all with that evil grin of his. "It is time we part ways for now. Your world will end in time, I've lived a thousand years, I know what it's like to wait. Till then." Then Mumm-Ra vanished in a burst of magical energy leaving everyone wounded and broken by that battle.

"Princess..." Twilight said walking up to Celestia looking concerned. "What are you not telling us."

Celestia merely looked at her student with a worried look on her face.

The Mane Six and the Princesses decided to talk in a special magically protected private chamber were they could rest and plan there next moves. It was a nice chamber several pillows and conferrable chairs were scattered around the room for the Princesses to sit on and a lit fire place to bring in some warmth . Princess Celestia had still not answered Twilight question trying to hold it off as long as possible. But Twilight wanted to know.

"Princess...Who is Mumm-Ra and why do you know him." Twilight asked again.

Princess Celestia decided she could no longer keep this secret any longer. She took a deep sigh and began to talk. "I do not know much about Mumm-Ra personally by several centuries ago after we defeated Discord, Mumm-Ra came to Equestria, during his time he unleashed a great army of evil across the world causing everything to burn and blacken. Me and my sister Luna tried our best to defend Equestria to our last breath. We made our last stand at Canterlot castle, we fought with everything we had but his power was still too great for us."

"But... What happened, he obviously didn't win?" Twilight asked sounding even more curious now.

"I...I don't know." Celestia said sounding unsure of herself. "Before he made the final blow, he stopped and then, it's as if that instead of destroying us, he decided to let us live. He disappeared after that, we never saw him again after that and all his evil vanished along with him."

Twilight and the others looked shocked.

"So that's it. All he did was say.. I'm done! Bye!" Rainwbodash said sarcastically

"All we know for sure is that after that battle, well..." Celestia then faced her sister with a look of sadness.

"I slowly began my transformation that would eventually turn me into Nightmare moon." Luna answered to the surprise of many pones. "I know that he was responsible for it in someway, something about that battle made it possible for the darkness to consume me."

The Mane Six looked shocked by this revelation, they had of course heard the story of nightmare moon before but they never heard this part of the story before.

"Oh, Princess Luna... I didn't know." Twilight said feeling guilty that she had brought up bad memoires.

"Do not apologize Twilight, It was a long time ago." Luna said trying to comfort Twilight.

"I apologize as well my faithful Student. I should have not kept this secret from you and your friends. I always knew one day he would return, but I had hoped to learn more about him." Celestia said feeling guilty.

"Well we know one thing, this Mummy guy is pretty darn powerful." Applejack said.

"And yet you still know nothing." In a flash of light Discord appeared again sitting on one of the chairs looking very relaxed. "You all have know idea of whom your are dealing with.

"Thou seems to know a lot about this Discord. Speaketh now!" Luna demanded sounding annoyed.

"Mumm-Ra is relentless, but he also knows the bigger picture. The reason he did not destroy Equestria the first time was because he had grander designs in mind. He has lived for a thousand years, as long as you two dear Princesses. He is evil incarnate, he will never stop until he's had final victory." Discord noticed however that he was brining the entire room down into the dumps. "Well... a flicker of hope I offer to you my friends. Mumm-Ra said that he is evil representative in this universe and, although evil itself cannot be destroyed it's representatives, those with physical forms can be."Discord then disappears again in a flash of light.

"DISCORD!" Luna yelled stomping her hoof.

"No sister. Let him be, reformed or not Discord still has a point, evil cannot be destroyed but it's representatives can, we just need to find out how. But what's important now is stop whatever he is planning."

"Don't worry Princess you can count on us." Rainbowdash said trying to get lighten up the atmosphere in the room. "Am I right Ponies!"

"YEAH!" All six of them said.

"Yeah! Will take down that Mummy faster than Big Mac takes down a Apple tree." Applejack said.

Celestia and Luna smiled at their ponies for showing such bravery they new that nothing could stop them now.

Spying on them from his cauldron Mumm-Ra, who was now in Mummy form, had returned from his battle with the Ponies began to plot his next moves. His pet hound Ma-Mutt was by his side cuddling onto his masters bony leg.

"Yes, my retched hound, we should mock the Ponies for their arrogance and their false bravery." Mumm-Ra said scratching his dog behind the ears.

"Although my battle did not end with there deaths, it was never the point. Now I know what my enemy is capable of and if I say so myself, it is not much."

The image on the cauldron then turned away from the ponies and into the large door of Tartarus. Mumm-Ra eyes glowed red as he stared at the door.

"Ah the door of Tartarus, I will unlock them and it will be done in a most unexpected way." He looked down at his dog. "For you see Ma-Mutt the Elements of Harmony are the key to opening the door and... they will open the door for me... of their own free will. BWA! HA! HA! HA HA!"
