A human goes on the adventure of his life (lives), how will he cope with the challenges ahead.
A brilliant human with tons of experience manages to get himself into a different universe he accidently created. He finds himself in the land of Equestria and now has to manage to find his arch rival who has managed to find him and hunts him down...
My body begins to ache from the new substance that has been injected into me. The substance is a rare matter that begins to distort my mind. I feel weak. My mind slowly begins to run blank. "It took long enough! I finally have you, and soon you'll be under my control and there isn't anything you can do about it!" My foe taunts. I try to speak but my mouth has fallen dry and no words come out. He is going to win, he'll control me and use me to take over all universes. I must stop him. I take out a pistol I had in my pocket. "Ha! You can't kill me with that!" He states. I know that he wouldn't die with this gun, but I can. I press the gun to my head and prepare to fire...
I think I should give myself just a second to rethink this. It's a big decision giving away my life like that. Even with everything I have lived through. I'll rethink to the beginning of this adventure. No, even further. To the beginning of my existance. my name is Mark Ray, good start with that, I was born January 22, 1788. Good now I must keep thinking. I had a mom and dad, a sister, 2 dogs and a cat. Ok, not to precise. I'm 225 years old and I am human!
When I was first born I was known as Edward Tooneil. I was a super genious. I tried to give my ahead of technology inventions to the government but they called me an alien and I was exiled. Some people supported my inventions and we started an agency. I was on top of the world seemingly invulnerable. But age was still there, so I invented a thing that would take my whole memory and transfer it to another baby to be reincarnated. I have reincarnated 5 times. So this is my first fifth life, the reason I am hesitant to kill myself now is because my brain transferer has gone buggy.
Anyways, now lets rethink the adventure. I am a 14 year old boy by the name Mark. I just got home from school on a warm June day, the school days were winding down and my leap from public school to highschool was fast approaching. "How was school?" My dad asked as I walked in. "Good." I said rushing past my dogs to get to my bedroom. I was trying to hold back my exitement. For I was on the brink of making a new dimension! I just needed to do some tweaks and precautions.
I went into my room and pressed secret buttons that unlocked a hidden door. I walked in and was greeted by a clone of me. "The new red matter hidden blade is operational sir." He said handing me it. "good work." I told him. I was in my lab. Red matter is a rare matter that has 'magical' abilities. Ok good I got that down. It's also a great power source! I turned on my computer to access my new dimension folders. Then a My Little Pony video was on it. I sighed in annoyance.
I never liked it as I figured most wouldn't but have been proven wrong before. It just was annoying to me and I just didn't enjoy it. It was there because some of my clones are defective and take on attributes I don't have such as liking my little pony.
I was just about to close it when I heard a familiar voice behind me. "What do we have here Mark?" I turned around to see my arch enemy Kram, or so I call him, his real name is Xilophyrt (I have managed to translate that to Dexter). He is from a parallel dimension to mine. And the reversed version of my name is Kram so that's what I call him. "Kram." I said reaching for my red matter hidden blade. "Yes it is me. I'm here ask you one last time: will you help me take over all worlds?" He asked taking out a ray gun on me. I grabbed a pistol that was beside me (and the one that I put to my own head) and pointed it at him. "Never." I answered. "Soon, you won't have a choice." He said shooting at me. I dodged and it hit an activator behind me.
All of a sudden a giant light burst through a crack in the universe and started ripping through. "My dimension!" I yelled as I ran for the computer. Kram shot it and the computer exploded. I was filled with rage, my fifths life work: gone. "You idiot!" I yelled as I charged at him. He took out a metal pole and hit me back with it. He charged at me with it and started hitting me back. "See you later Mark!" He yelled. I just realized what happened. I fell backwards into the crack with my pistol and blade. I used the blade to cut his cheek as I fell into a dark abyss...
I woke up later to the peaceful sounds of birds chirping and nature sounds. I slowly got up. I noticed my leg was buried in dirt. I ripped it out. I must have spawned have in the ground. There was an instant thought that appeared in my head: Crap! I'm stuck in a different dimension... of my creation. "Yes!" I yelled into the sky. I hopped for joy and did a happy dance. I did it, I made a dimension... now what. I looked forward head held high, towards the unknown world that I had just created. Who knows what files it downloaded to create this world.
I knew it probably wasn't human and I don't need to be noticed, not when I'm being hunted by Kram. Let's see what I'v got: A sweater, t-shirt, jeans, running shoes, socks, red matter, red matter hidden blade, pistol, and my Whatch V-7! I invented it and I love how it turned out. It has a feature that turns me into any living thing. I switched the dial and set it to turn into nearest convenient thing. I pressed it with a here goes nothing attitude.
After a a bright flash, I wanted to know what I was. A small horse, or pony. Whatever, this is great, and how is this convenient? I began to walk around looking for civilization of any sort, or at least something! after about an hour of walking I finally found something, a big something. A whole town. I began to walk around, I saw ponies, of multi coloured variety. I began to wonder. Than out of nowhere a pink pony jumped in front of me.
"Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie and I know everypony in Ponyville but I've never seen you before and that means your new! And if your new you must be too new to have friends and if you don't have friends then that must mean your lonely." The pink, frizzy haired pony finally finished. Then it hit me. My eyes widened in shock and my jaw dropped. The dimension animator made a pony world based off of my little pony. I didn't know much about my little pony but I did know two of the ponies names due to my sister liking it years back: Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. And one of them was standing right in front of me.
Only one thing popped into my fuzzeled brain: What have I done...
"So what's your name!?" The frizzy haired pony asked breaking my current thoughts. I went back to my calm posture and thought of a name. I didn't want to give my real name because for 1: I don't think it would be considered a pony name, 2: I want to make sure Kram has as little as a lead as possible. I thought of some pretty good ones like: Flintlock and Bionic but then my red matter hidden blade fell from my leg. I realized it was stuck in the watch I was wearing, everything else I had must be stored in my other form. I'm a fast thinker so this only took me a second to come up with this name.
"My name is Hidden Blade." I answered finally speaking. My voice had changed a bit and was lower than my last voice. I put the hidden blade tucked back in my watch without Pinkie Pie noticing. I thought hidden blade was appropriate because that's what I'm trying to be: hidden. "that's a cool name! Where are you from?" She asked.
She wasn't giving me a break, so once again I went to my mind for a made up answer. "Out of town." I finally said, it was an awful answer but I was stumped on places, I had no idea what places this world held. "My house recently burned down so I was forced to come here." I added before she could say another word. "*gasp*, are you ok!? Is your family ok, is your possessions ok?" She began asking a million questions. "I'm ok, it was just me in the house, and I lost most of my possessions." I answered swiftly and as fast as she could dish them out. "Thank goodness your ok, was it because of you magic?" She asked looking above my eyes and to my forehead. "My wha-*" I began, and then I noticed a horn on top of my head.
Great I'm a unicorn. How more girly does it get. But magic, there's no such thing as magic, only atoms and electrons. Even in a different dimension, my little pony couldn't be that out there could it? Well it can and is.
"Yeah. my magic..." I said going along with it. I noticed the sun falling below the hills and darkness begin to engulf me and my new companion, I suppose. "Now my next problem seems to be the fact of me being homeless." I thought aloud. "I have an idea, you can stay with me for the night!" Pinkie said, I didn't expect her to be listening. "Huh, oh right, yes that would be good." I said. I suppose it wouldn't be too bad, right?
"Follow me!" She said as she began walking. I followed. "let me tell you about myself so I'm not a stranger to you anymore." she said and she began rambling on about herself. I tuned her out and returned to my thoughts. I think this would work good, Kram would never expect me to be here, he knows I find my little pony annoying. But my name sounds too me, which isn't good, but I can't change it now.
I then thought of my escape, how am I going to get home! I guess all I needed was red matter. Wait, do these ponies even know what red matter is? They must know somewhat, they're magic must be made of it. "Hey Pinkie-* Never mind" I knew asking her was the wrong thing to do. She probably had no clew what matter even was. "Are you listening!?" She asked since I interupted her with that random sentence. "Yes I am." I lied. "Hey Pinkie." I heard another voice say. "Hey Rainbow Dash." Pinkie replied. I noticed a blue Pegasus hovering above us. "Whose the unicorn beside you?" She asked. "Oh this is Hidden Blade, my new friend!" She said. I was suprised I was titled 'friend' already.
"Yes that's my name, nice to meet you." I extended my hoof to her for a hand shake, if they do that. "nice to meet you, too." She said shaking it. I guess they do. "Anyways, I still have a few weather preparations for tomorrow, see ya later." She said flying off. Weather preparations? You can't prepare weather, you can prepare for it but not it itself. "Well, here we are!" She said gesturing to the craziest looking structure I've ever seen. "Are you sure that's not a desert?" I asked. She giggled and said "I'm sure, its a house." She said walking to it. I followed, great, I never knew that ponies lived in food. Does that mean they eat building materials?!
I walked in and the inside looked relitively normal, exept for al the pink. But that figures. "This Sugar Cube Corner, a bakery." She said. She lived in a bakery, seriously. "Neat." Is all I could manage. she took me upstairs to what I guessed was her room. "You can have the bed." She said. "Thanks." I said. I walked past a mirror and got a first view of my new body.
It was orange with a yellow mane and tail. My mane and tail were messy, but not as messy as Pinkie Pie's. My horn stood on top of my head and I still couldn't believe I was a unicorn. I had to admit, for the ponies I've seen, I look pretty good, maybe a little mane fix up. There was also my watch with the hidden blade still tucked in it. Then it beeped. I lifted the watch to my view and saw that it had 10% of battery remaining.
Crud, my watch should never run out of battery, it runs on red matter, the new dimension must be messing with it. This was bad, it was my only way back to my other body, I couldn't lose it. "Are you hungry?" Pinkie Pie asked noticing the watch on my leg. "Yes." I answered putting down my leg and hiding the watch out of view. I didn't know if they even had electricity, or watches, and I didn't need to look like an alien.
Anyways, I guess my body did deserve attention. I feel like I need someone to talk to, someone to trust. Pinkie was not it, she seemed to have little smarts and I wouldn't know where to begin to explain, so I continued of my lie. She came up to me with a cup cake. I didn't expect that for a dinner, but what the hay. "Here ya go!" She said giving it to me.
I had trouble keeping it in my hooves. But I managed. Its just one of the things I need to get used to. "Thanks." I wasn't saying much, mostly because I didn't know what to say and I keep going to my brain, if my brain had a voice, it would probably be telling me to get some friends and stop thinking. I ate the cup cake which was really good. "Wow, that was good." I said.
"Thanks, I made it myself." She replied with a smile, actually, she has been smiling for most of the time I've seen her. "You don't use your magic a lot do you?" She said. "What makes you say that?" I asked. "Because most unicorns would have levitated the cup cake." She said. Wow, the biggest word I think she has ever said. "I'm not much of a magic user. I prefer physical touch." I replied. "I bet Twilight could teach you some tricks!" She said. "Who now?" "Twilight, she is one of my friends and one of the smartest ponies I know!" She said. That's probably not saying much.
"Really, is Twilight a unicorn, too?" "Yeah, she is very skilled with magic." I guess she is my only shot at home. I have no lead but she might, if the ponies have 'magic' then I bet they could make a way to my dimension. "Where does she live?" I asked. "At the library!" She answered. Do any of these ponies have real home!? "I would like to meet her tomorrow." I said. "Perfect. I can't wait until you meet Fluttershy, and Applejack..." I tuned her out as she ranted on about random pony names I really didn't care to hear.
I was exited for tomorrow to hopefully meet a sane pony. I did feel sympathy for them though. Even though they are accidental annoying creations, they still don't deserve this. I dragged them into an unfair battle. Lets just say I'm not heartless. I will try to keep them out of this. I tuned back into Pinkie Pie. "and Spike. *yawn* I'm getting tired." She said. Finally, I didn't know if she could get tired at this rate. "Me, too actually." I replied. I wasn't actually tired. I just needed to give my mind a break.
"Alright then g'night." She said as she went over to a pink chair. "Good night and thanks for letting me stay here." I told her as I climbed into her bed. I have to admit it was comfortable. "No problem, what are friends for..." With that she was out like a light.
You see that kind of kindness you wouldn't get in my dimension, no person would stop and say hello and especaily let you stay with them on just one meet. I had to respect them for that. That pink pony aloud me into her home on the first day which would take weeks on Earth. Ug, sorry, but sometimes I hate myself in the past. rethinking this makes me mad. How could I be like that, it took me that long to even begin to care about them. They are truly amazing creatures and I'm honored to have met them. I guess it took me awhile.
As I allow myself to enter the land of peaceful slumber, I heard my watch bleep. Meaning that it was at 9%. I would guess I have about a day of power left. I better hope Twilight knows something or I'm in trouble.
I was walking through a ruins of what I believe to be a kingdom. I was walking around piles of destroyed walls and ceiling, trying to think how I got here. It didn't make any sense, I couldn't have slept that long. I finally got out of the ruins and saw the destruction. Remains of buildings lied everywhere, many bodies that I couldn't tell what they were any more. Fire and smoke everywhere. It stung my eyes so they watered. Was this Ponyville, or at least that's what I think its called.
In the centre of it all was a giant crater. I recognised this level of destruction: An atomic bomb, maybe even red matter powered. Sorrow filled me, even though they were annoying ponies they didn't deserve this, it wasn't right. Then I saw him, it was Kram shooting a pony in the head: Pinkie Pie. That was when I snapped. I ran at him with my full power, blindly charging. But before I got to him he gestures a different way.
It was Earth, but it was different. It was in ruins as this one is. It was showing the remains of my house. Tears of anger and sadness filled my eyes as I fell to the ground, I had failed.
Then I bursted awake. It was a dream, or a nightmare I suppose that unfortunately may not be far from happening. "Are you alright, I think you were having a nightmare." I heard Pinkie Pie say, who I was actually happy to see. "No way, I'm fine. Why would you think that?" I asked shaking off that vision. "You were twitching and there are tears in your eyes." She said. I put my hoof to my eyes. they were wet with tears.
That's how deep my family means to me, and my home. "It was about the fire wasn't it?" She said. She was actualy being serious. "Huh? Yeah." I lied. I didn't need her to know I was crying for a reason that involved her. But my dream did give me a heads up. If Kram does get me in this world, my world is doomed, too. This is like the battle field. "Its ok, you'll recover." Pinkie said as she pulled me into a hug.
I didn't go against it, I did need to know for certain that their was other things then me. It also gave me comfort to know she was alive for some reason. I did make an oath to not pull them into this, but I'm starting to see how hard that really will be! Pinkie Pie broke out of the hug and went back to her silly self. "Would you like some waffles?" She asked me randomly.
I guess it was breakfast time. "Sure." I answered. She jumped off down stairs. I guess walking was to main stream for her. I took out my watch to have a look at it. It was worst than I had thought, it was at 5% already. I don't have much time, I need to get to that Twilight pony. Then Pinkie jumped back up the stairs and put a plate of waffles in front of me. "Thanks." I said.
"No problem." She said eating some of her own. I began eating them, too. "I should throw a party to properly welcome you!" She said. "Pinkie you don't need to do that." I said. In fact I didn't want her to. Besides the fact that I'd be surrounded by girlish ponies, It would also give Kram more of a lead to me.
"It would be so much fun though! Everypony loves parties!" She said. Which naturally didn't include me due to I'm not actually a pony. "Yeah but, I'd like more time to adjust to the new lifestyle before a party." I said. "Okie dokie!" She said. After we were done our breakfast we made our way to the library where Twilight lives.
"Well, here we are. I would like to stay but today I have to work at Sugarcube corner. So bye and have fun." She said as she ran off before I could speak. Random: the only word I think would best describe that. I knocked at the door assuming that's what they do. it took a little bit but eventually the door was answered. But it was answered by a dragon. I didn't know if I should be scared or not. It didn't seem hostile.
"Hi, what do you need?" The dragon asked. Its voice was male so I'm assuming he would be a boy. He was very small and calm so I definitely don't see him as a threat. I always figured dragons devoured horses and ponies. But I guess in this world everything is friendly and happy. "I'm here to see Twilight." I replied. "ok, and who are you?" He asked. Oh yeah I guess my name would be needed.
"Oh yeah sorry. My name is Hidden Blade and I'm one of Pinkie Pie's friends. I was told that Twilight is very skilled in magic and I need her assistance." I said. "The name's Spike." He said putting out his hand. I guess they do hand/hoof shake. I shook his hand. "I'll go get her, come in she'll be here in just a sec." He said as he moved out of the way to allow me passage. I walked in and then he went off to get her. See, this is another example of kindness you don't get from humans.
After a mild wait a lavender coloured unicorn came down. She had an interesting mane job but I wasn't to talk. "Hello, I understand your name is Hidden Blade and you need my help." She said. Wow, smarter than Pinkie Pie. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, and before you say anything, is this life threatening?" She asked. Why would she ask if its life threatening, nothing is life threatening here I thought. "It could be." I replied.
"Alright, what is it." she asked seriously. I was thinking of a way I could say that I was a disguised creature from another dimension and I'm being hunted by another version of me to kill me and take over all worlds. I figure I couldn't say that, it is way to overwhelming. I think I'll leave the human part out. "Ok, you may not believe me, but I'm from another dimension." I replied. She didn't seemed as shocked as I thought.
"That doesn't seem to far out there considering there is time travel, how did you get here?" She asked. Really, time travel? They must have acces to red matter, they have to! "a certain mishap, but that's not important. What is though, is that I need to get back, sooner rather than later..." I said looking at my watch quickley. It was at 4%. "I guess I should get started. Although this is very crazy and will take a lot of skill and magic and studying." She said. "Yes ok, and how long will that take?" I asked. "Who knows, it could take hours, or a day or two." She answered.
"You can't be any quiker?" I asked. "Sorry, I'll be as fast as I can." She replied. With that she went over to the book shelves and began searching for a book. I went over and slumped down into a chair. "How is it like in your dimension?" I looked over and saw the dragon talking to me. "Really similar to this one. Nothing way out there worth noting." I replied. "How did you get here though?" He asked. "Well, there's this rare element known as red matter that has the power to do incredible things." I started.
"Like magic?" He asked. "Yes, a lot like magic. It can teleport you, transport you through time, clone yourself and go from dimension to dimension." I continued. "So you used it to come here?" He asked. "No, someon- pony did, and I got caught up in it." I answered. "How is this life threatening?" Twilight asked without looking up from her book she was now reading. "That doesn't matter because it...isn't. I thought it was but looking over it, it really isn't." I lied. I didn't need to tell them because with any luck, I'll be gone in a day or two.
"How did you meet Pinkie Pie?" Spike asked. "Man, a pony doesn't get a break! But fine whatever. I met Pinkie when I first got here and she let me stay at her place." I said. "Ok, I'll stop with the questions." Spike replied. "I'll take a while, Spike why don't you show Hidden Blade Ponyville." Twilight said. "Ok." And with that me and Spike left to have a look around the town.
I just hope Twilight can get me out before it's too late, or this might truely be the battle field...
Spike was taking me around Ponyville, I wasn't interested but it was nice to get out. I kept an eye out for any weird activity, who knows how close Kram could be, for all I know he could be right under my nose. That was when I moved my glance to Spike. I would regularly think he is cool because he's a dragon, but he's purple. Not very cool and he is certainly not dangerous.
"...And here is Sweet Apple Acres!" Spike said gesturing forward. I turn my attention to a farm with tons of orchards of apples. "Wow, seems like apples are big thing here." I said. It seemed most agriculture was aimed at apples and vegetables, I guess the ponies were limited, they had no need for meat products because they were herbivores. Which was a bummer for me.
"Yeah, they are. Applejack lives there, she's one of the most hard working ponies I know." Spike added. "Really, how hard working?" I asked. "Very, she is very determined and tuff, she can take on any challenge!" Spike replied. Idea had just popped into my head. Of course electricity is probably not happening and red matter is far to out there...maybe I can get pony power. Like instead of a hamster, a pony running in a wheel!
Spike must have noticed my thoughtful face that would have seemed like I was curious to see more. "Want to meet Applejack?" He asked. "Yes, yes I would." I said as he began leading me to the farm. I would like to try to befriend her to see if I could get her to make me power if Twilight fails to produce a working spell. Spike began leading me to a pony I believe to be Applejack.
"Hey Applejack." Spike said as we got to her. "Howdy Spike, who do you got there?" She asked referring to me. "This is Hidden Blade." Spike said introducing me. "Hello Applejack nice to meet you." I said extending a hoof. "Nice to meet you Hidden." She said shaking my hoof. I wasn't to happy to be called Hidden, I much preferred Blade. "What brings you two here?" She asked.
"I was showing Blade around Ponyville because he's new here, so I decided to bring him over." Spike replied. At least he knew not to say where I'm actually from. "Yeah, I recently had my house burn down so I came here to see what I could get." I added. "That's a shame, at least you seem alright. Hey, I could let you stay here in the barn. Of course you'd have to work it off." She said. "That would be perfect." I said.
Spike gave me a questioning look. He didn't know where I was going with this but I did. "Do you still want me to show you around?" Spike asked. "Yes, but I'd like to see where I'm staying first." I answered. "Right this way." Applejack said leading me. I looked down at her legs. Her legs seemed like they could run fast, certainly fit and pretty muscular. I was just looking at her hind legs, they were stronger and looked they could pack a punch.
I looked up more analyzing her to make sure she fit the role in my plan. My eyes landed on her rump. I quickly shot my gaze away. I don't know what would possess me to let my eyes trail there. "Here we are, you'll be staying in the barn, I'll get it all cozy for ya." She said. I focused my gaze to the barn, it seemed decent, at least it was a roof over my head. "Thanks, I'll get to whatever you need me to do when I return." I told her.
"Alright, see ya." She said as I went back over to Spike. My watch beeped on my way to Spike. It was at 2%. I needed to get this tour over with and then see what Twilight has accomplished. If she fails to contribute than Applejack is my back-up. My plan is completely full proof as long as Kram doesn't get himself involved. I was following Spike out when we ran into another pony, Spike seemed to know them.
"Why hello Spike how are you, and who is this?" I heard a white unicorn say. Spike looked hypnotized by her words. She had an elegant way of talking and seemed to be much more fancy than most ponies I'v seen. "H-hi Rarity, this is Hidden Blade. N-need help with anything?" He stumbled over his words. He was obviously love struck. "Hello Hidden, what happened with your mane, its all messy." Rarity asked me.
"Hi Rarity. My mane looks like this because I just got through a house fire." I replied. "Oh my, are you alright?" She asked. "yes I'm fine. Things are looking up, Applejack just offered me a place to stay at her barn so things appear to be looking good." I said. "You must come to my boutique to let me deal with that wild mane." She said. I didn't figure it was that messy. "I'm fine, how I look is the least of my problems." I was starting to get sightly uncomfortable, all this kindness is unusual for me.
"come on. Let me do a little something with it..." She said. "Uh...f-" Before I could fully answer she already put her hooves in my mane and started playing around. It felt nice, it was like when my mom combes my hair, I don't want her to, but when she does it feels nice. I couldn't help but enjoy it so I moved my head into it. She took her hooves away and the feeling left.
"Come on now Hidden your just like my cat when I pet behind her ears." She said. I felt my face grow hot, did I seriously just blush from these ponies!? I shook it out of my head and went back to serious. Spike was just standing there, no doubt admiring her. "I notice you don't have a cutie mark, is that because you havn't found your specail talent?" She asked.
What in the world is a cutie mark. I looked around desperately once again my eyes fell to a rump, this time of Rarity. I saw a the mark there reminding me of that there is to be one there. Than I turned to where mine should be and there wasn't and that is how I discovered what a cutie mark was. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything, don't worry yours will come." She assured me.
Than we got locked onto one anothers eyes. I could tell she just wanted to make me happy as all of them have been. Why though, they should stay out of my business and stop toying with my mind!. I was about to say something I would have regreted when Spike broke my trance. "So Rarity do you need any help?" He asked. "Actually I do, follow me." She said leading him away.
He ditched me, but his reasoning was fair. I supported it. I began walking lost in thought. He's better than me at that, my crush back in my world, I never even talked to her. I was too nervous, I never offered assistance or stopped to understand, I was to shy and busy. But when I was free from my lab and got some guts...it was to late, she had already found someone...and so I punished myself and never looked back at love, I locked it out and no human tried to breach.
But now these ponies are piercing my shell of seriousness and human nature, their releasing my inner pony. I didn't like it at this point, I wanted nothing more than to get out and never return, but now, my inner pony has breached the surface. I have begun to feel...
I was just walking along trying to waste time. I was trying to stray to far because I didn't know my way back if I did. I looked down at my watch, leaning to the 1% battery level. Time was slim, and if Twilight couldn't produce the working spell I needed, then I would lose my last bit of tech. I would then have to get Applejack to produce power.
Then it hit me. even though I had a way to get power, I didn't have anything useful to put it to yet. That would take even longer, my back up plan may take weeks, or even months! I would have to build a transporter with extremely limited resources. I was feeling down now, this sucks. Kram will definitely get a lead onto me by then. The whole balance of existence is at stake!
Then my thoughts were interrupted by a pony (sounding female) yelling "Watch out!" Before I knew it I was hurt on my back with a girl cyan blue pegasus on top of me. I was groaning in pain, my back was hurting and my nose was throbbing slightly. "Oh my gosh are you ok!?" I heard the winged pony ask.
My vision focused to see the pony on me looking down to me. "Wha? Oh yeah I'm fine." I said. I could take a hit, after all my life of protecting the world from Kram. "Here I'll help you up." She said as she got of me and then pushed me from my back up. "Thanks." I said. "No prob. Hey your Pinkie's friend Hidden Blade right?." She said. "Yeah and your Rainbow Dash." I replied.
"Yes I am, I'm the fastest pegasus in Equestria!" she said. That must be what this place is called, I always thought it was Ponyville or somewhere on those lines. "Right, of course. You are really fast, well as much as I could see until you were into my face." I said reminding her of the incident.
"I was just seeing how fast I could go and I lost control, it happens." She told me. "I have to admit your name is pretty cool, not as cool as mine but still pretty cool." She was now hovering slightly in the air. "Right. Anyways, I got to go." I said as I began walking back to Applejack's barn.
"Why what you up to?" She asked flying above me. "Well, my house burned down, don't worry I'm fine. So Applejack is letting me stay at her barn and I need to work it off." I explained as I walked. "Wow. Pretty crazy." she said. "What does this matter to you?" I don't get what would be interesting about this. "I'm just curious. You seem different." She said as if she was examining me.
That's where I thought she could be Kram in disguise, but I knew Kram couldn't locate me yet. "I'm flattered you'd take interest into my rather boring life (besides the fire), you seem pretty cool yourself" I replied. I felt like ripping out my own tounge and yelling at it asking why did you make me say that. But it didn't, it was my own free will. I looked up at the hovering...mare I do believe you call a female horse or pony.
The setting sun was glistening off her rainbow mane. The site may have been more breathtaking it it wasn't the fact it was a pony. Although she interested me, like, she was a pegasus. Ponies are annoying and unicorns are girly but I was always interested in pegasi. I liked the Greek mythology of the first winged horse named Pegasus which led to the species name. So I did enjoy that, so Rainbow Dash was actually cool to me, although she was a mare, she was still a winged horse and in my favourite colour.
I was just admiring the flying horse. Imagining me riding that in my world, charging at Kram or landing down to school. How awesome would that be! Once again I allowed myself to become lost in thought. "Hey! You checking me out?" Rainbow Dash said breaking my thought. "I guess that's a way to put it. But I'd prefer the term examining you for scientific reasons." I replied.
I was only examining but not for scientific reasons, my own. "Well, I call that checking me out. I knew you couldn't resist me, nopony can!" she said flying on her back above me. "Proud of ourselves are we?" She seemed very self indulgent. But still she is a pegasus. "How could I not. Like I'm Rainbow Dash!" she exclaimed. "True, true..." It was iresistable.
I just wanted to bring her back to my world for a pet, because that would be cool. If the agency aloud it. "You seem fit and fearless. How would you like to go on an adventure with me?" I asked. "An adventure, what kind." She was taking the bate. "The best kind meant only for the best!" I answered.
"That's me, I'm the best. I'll do it!" She said landing infront of me. "Then it's settled, me and you are going to save the world. Meet me here in this exact spot tomorrow and I'll give you your mission briefing." I was totally realing her in. "Got it! You can count on me. Now I'll leave to what ever you're doing. See ya!" She said zooming off.
Now I really had a back-up plan. I was getting out of here perfectly. And maybe even with a pet.
That's where it began really. That's when I dragged these innocent ponies into a dangerous situation. I wish I could reverse that, but at the same time, I wouldn't have it any other way...
I got back to the barn and saw Applejack there. "Hey, Applejack!" I called out to her. "Oh, howdy Hidden." She replied. "So, where does my work begin?" I asked. "don't worry about that for now, I'll give you a little grace period. 'Till tomorrow in evening." She told me. "Thanks. I'm going to go off to bed." "Alright, the barn is all made for you, g'night." She said. "Good night." I said going into the barn. It was pretty nice with a bed made.
I jumped into the bed and prepared myself for sleep. I fell asleep, but I was disturbed by a flashing red light. I glanced down and saw my watch was bleeping, it was about to run out of power! I started programing it to change me back. I hit the button and right before it could, it died. At that point I was no match for Kram if he was to find me. My technology is gone. I feel...powerless. Its over, how can I do this, how can I defend without anything. And with those thoughts I fell asleep.
I woke up in the morning to see Applejack there with pancakes. "Good mornin, Hidden." She said. "Made you some breakfast." I glanced at the pancakes. "Thanks." I replied. I ate the pancakes and walked out of the barn. "What you up to today?" She asked. "I'm going to visit Twilight., see ya around." I said as I left. I was heading to Twilight's house and met Spike half way. "There you are. Twilight found a spell that could work, its the only one." He told me.
"Perfect." I replied. I needed this to work, I didn't care for my backup plan, I wanted, scratch that, needed to get home and get Kram. "It'll be one of the most complicated spells Twilight has ever done. But its gotta work." "Oh it better." I said. We got to the library. "have faith Hidden Blade." He said walking in and I followed. I saw many books scattered around, I didn't realize how much time and effort she would put into this.
"Perfect your here, I think I'm ready." Twilight said. "Good, good. Thanks for all this work." "Well I had to. I couldn't imagine being in a different dimension myself." She said. "Any ways here I go!" She aimed her horn in front of her. It sparked to life and shot a beam into the air. I knew she needed more power in order to break through the dimension. Then the light of her horn got a lot brighter and the beam became more intense.
Her facial expression showed that this took effort. Then the beam became very powerful, I saw a crack appear in the fabric of space. I couldn't look at her any more, she was too bright. "Give her some help." Spike told me pointing to my horn. "I, uh. Okay." I said, I have no idea how my horn works. I aimed at the spot she was and concentrated on my horn shooting a beam. But all that came out was a little zap that hit her beam.
Then the beam burst into little sparkles, and all that remained in that spot was a portal. I felt proud, I contributed. I wasn't sure if it was the right one until I heard a car horn and a screeching tires on the other side. That's it! That's my world!" I yelled excitedly. Twilight looked like she rain two marathons. "Whew, I did it." She was exhausted.
I went up to her and shook her hoof rapidly and then shook Spikes hand. "Thank you!" Is all I could say. I could go home. No doubt a mark clone has replaced me so no one would notice I'm gone. But I have to stop Kram. "Your welcome." She said. "I kinda have to go, so thanks for everything and see ya!" I said heading to the portal. I couldn't wait to get out of this pony body.
"Bye Hidden, good luck in your world." Twilight and Spike said waving good bye. "Bye." I said walking at the portal. I could smell my world, it wasn't as fresh as here, but still, it was home. I heard people yelling and I rolled my eyes, wait until they get load of me. I couldn't see the other side, but I knew it was there. That's when I felt it, that's was where my first step into my feelings began. I felt guilt.
It seemed wrong to just leave. Twilight and Spike did all that work, Applejack giving me a place to stay, Rarity fixing my mane, and Rainbow Dash with that mission. Who knows what other potential friends there were. And I was just leaving them, with Kram maybe. But...I have to. I have to, that's what I'm going to tell myself...I have to. I walked into the portal, I could see streets, cars, people freaking out over the fact of a portal.
I took a deep breath and walked in. Then all at once, the smell, the noise, and the sights of my home were gone. And I was staring at a book shelf. "Oh my. I'm so sorry. My magic isn't strong enough, I couldn't hold it open for somepony to pass through!" I heard Twilight say behind me. "Maybe we need some of his magic matter stuff." I heard Spike say.
I grinned. Fate, you are a tricky one. I was happy I got to stay, I don't know why, but I was. I turned around and said: "I'll need metal, lots of metal."
"Metal? What do you need metal for?" Twilight asked. "I need something to work with, and I work best with metal. I could make something that could bring me home." She seemed to understand now. Alright, I'll see what I can do, what are you going to do in the mean time?" "It could take me a while to make it, so I have to go work at Applejack's." I replied.
"Okay, come on Spike, let's go see if we can find some metal." She said as the two left. And then I left to go to Applejack's but was stopped by Pinkie Pie, I have no idea where she came from. "HEY Hidden Blade, you need to loosen up and stop being so serious." She said smiling the whole time as usual. I guess I am always serious.
"Hey Pinkie, and I'll loosen up eventually. So how are you." I said. "I'm great! Thanks for asking! And I know your great too! Because you have a roof over your head now, and you're making friends." She said. "Well actually those reasons are fair, but recent events have gotten me down a bit." She gasped as if I just said I got shot in all of my legs.
"No! You won't be sad for long. 'Cuz I'm planning a party for you." She said pulling me into a tight hug. I tried to squirm out at first but I couldn't escape her iron grip. "A party?!" I said. "Yeah a party, you can hear me RIGHT!" She yelled in my ear which made my head ring. "I hear you fine, but what for?" I said trying to escape her hug again but failed, I was surprised no ponies noticed too much, I guess this is normal Pinkie.
"A welcome party, you've been through so much, you deserve one." She said finally releasing me. "You don't have to do that Pinkie." I really didn't need a big party. Kram could be right here in this town for all I know. "I don't have to. I want to!" She told me. "Pinkie please, you don't have to..." I begged. "I know I don't have to, I want to, I already said that." "You shouldn't..." I said.
"What, it'll be fun come on!" She was persistent. "Pinkie! I don't want you to throw me a party!" I really didn't need to be found. I'm actual'y starting to care for these ponies...I don't want Kram to hurt them. Then I noticed her expression, she looked saddened and her ears were down. "Oh...okay..." She said drooping her head a little bit.
"Pinkie, I'm sorry. I'm just not an upfront kind of guy, I'm a bit shy." I said trying to make her feel better. "It's alright Hidden, what if I just invited my closest friends?" She said perking up a bit. "That sounds great." I smiled and her smile refilled with her crazy self. "Whatever makes you happy." She said giving me a little hug.
"I got to go, I have to get the party set up, how does tomorrow sound?" She asked. "Perfect." "Alright see ya Hidden" "See ya." With that she zoomed off. I continues my walk to Applejack's when a little more into it I ran into Rarity. "Hello Hidden Blade. How are you." She said. "Hey Rarity. I'm fine thanks, you?" I replied. "I'm doing quite alright myself. It seems to me your getting around, I've heard from nearly all my friends about you." She told me.
"Really? Well it's good to have friends, I didn't have any before. Maybe my house burning down was a good thing." I said. "I don't think it was a good thing. Maybe something else should have brought you here, something less destructive. ~sigh~, your mane didn't last one night." She said looking up at it.
"Yeah, I don't sleep nicely." I said. "It wouldn't matter, I didn't make it too good, just a quick one..." I saw her start moving her hoof to my mane and I prepared for the nice feeling but she stopped probably because we're in public and that would seem awkward.
"Maybe you should come to my boutique sometime for tea. I always like a good chat." She said. I didn't know what day it was. So I thought back to my watch, it said it was Thursday last night, so it must be Friday today, Pinkie's party tomorrow..."How about Sunday?" I asked. "Sounds perfect! Alright, well I have to be on my way, have a good day Hidden." She said. "You too Rarity." I said waving.
I went back to my journey to Applejack's. "Hey you!" I heard a familiar voice say. Before I could say anything, Rainbow Dash landed in front of me. "Where have you been. I've been waiting for my mission or whatever." She said annoyed. Crap, I completely forgot. "Oh sorry Dash, got caught up. Right your mission briefing." I started.
"It seems there is a dangerous being lurking around who wants to cause damage to everypony. But he is shape shifted." I knew Kram would have shape shifted correctly by now. "Is it a changeling?" She asked. "Uh...yes. It is a changeling. He wants to destroy love everywhere. We have to stop him. His name is Kram." I said. "Alright I got this, what's my mission?" She said looking very eager.
"Your mission is to scope the area for any suspicious ponies, then bring them to me." "Alright, see ya soon, this shouldn't take long." She said as she zoomed into the sky. I continues my walk. And finally I got to Applejack's farm. "Howdy Hidden, ready for work?" She asked. "Yes." I answered.
Man, that day was hard. I've done some pretty hard things, but that was high on the list!
I looked up at Kram, all that thinking was only about one second. Kram laughed. "Your seriously going to kill yourself?" He taunted. "I would rather die than help you!" I said back. Another wave of red matter hit me and I felt my legs go numb. "Your pathetic." It really made me pissed when he said that. Maybe he is right though, I havn't been very nice lately...
Back to rethinking. Where was I...oh right.
I was super sore after bucking all those apple trees, I never even heard of anything like it. But my legs ached. All I wanted to do was pass out. I said goodnight to Applejack and walked in the barn. I'll check on Twilight's progress tomorrow. But I was welcomed by Rainbow Dash and what seemed like three hostages. Although said hostages didn't seem frightened, just annoyed.
"Hidden Blade I brought these ponies back. They were suspicious." She told me. "Okay, can you tell me who they are, and why they were suspicious?" "Yes. That one there, her name is Fluttershy, one of my friends. She was really suspicious when I interrogated her." She said pointing her hoof at a yellow pony with pink mane and tail.
"Sorry, you were scaring me..." She said just above a whisper. "Only speak when spoken too possible changeling!" Rainbow said. She just whimpered. She didn't seem like Kram. A turquoise coloured mare with a light blue mane rolled her eyes. "What about her." I said pointing at the turquoise mare. "Her name is Lyra Heartstrings, she refused interrogation and ignored me!" She said
Seems like she could be Kram in disguise. "And the last one?" I gestured to the last pony. She was a mare, and she was grey with a yellow mane....and odd eyes. "Her name is Derpy, if somepony really wanted to be disguised, it would be as her, nopony would suspect it!" "Yes yes, let me think for a second."
I didn't really need to think. "It couldn't be Fluttershy or Derpy, it would have to be Lyra Heartstings." Fluttershy looked relieved and Derpy looked confused. "You think I'm a changeling!?" Lyra yelled at me. Rainbow was about to speak when I said: "No, of course not. It's none of them Dash. The changeling would never switch genders when disguising." I said. "Does that mean we can go?" Derpy asked.
"Yes you can go." Lyra and Derpy walked out. Rainbow was talking to Fluttershy and I went and joined them. "Sorry Flutter, I thought you were a changeling." Rainbow said. "I-its okay. Mistakes happen." She said shyly. "Sorry about the mishap Fluttershy. The name's Hidden Blade." I said shaking her hoof. "Yeah Fluttershy. I guess I should have introduced you both. Hidden Blade is one of my friends and I'm helping him save the world." She told Fluttershy.
"How could a changeling be that dangerous?" She asked seeming a bit more brave. Rainbow looked at me curiously. "The changeling isn't a normal one. He is really intelligent and therefore dangerous. He wants to manipulate all the ponies into being his friend and then using them." I said...it kind of sounded a lot like me. I felt saddened by that thought.
"Alright, so should I keep looking?" Rainbow asked. "Yes, do one more look about, be really thorough and then report back to me tomorrow." I ordered. "Okay, I'll be back tomorrow ASAP." she said zooming off. Fluttershy looked at me shyly. "Its alright, we'll get him." I reassured her. "But what if he's just misunderstood. Maybe we could teach him a lesson, without force." She offered.
I never really thought if Kram was misunderstood. He probably wasn't, I'm misunderstood, and since he's the parallel version of me, he would be understood. "Maybe, Fluttershy if we can, we'll try your way. Try to keep it our little secret okay?" I asked. She nodded. "Thanks, I'll make this up to you somehow." She nodded in response again. "You can leave now." Once again a nod and then she flew out.
I collapsed on my bed and the aching feeling returned. Kram has to be getting close to me, he has to. But he'll be surprised when he finds out I'm not just hiding, I'm searching too. So really the hunter is being hunted. I have to find him first. Then I let my sore body rest.
I think that's where I got soft, where I cared about the ponies. That's where I really started getting to the point I'm at.
My eyes opened from a long sleep. I lifted my head up and instantly I felt weird. My vision wasn't normal and my head was pounding. It's like my sleep didn't help me, it destroyed me. My thoughts were messed and the world seemed to be spinning faster...if it even spins. I got up on weak legs. "uhg." I groaned. Maybe if I walked more I could shake the feeling off. I walked out of the barn and instantly the sun blinded me.
I covered my eyes with my hoof. I waited for my eyes to adjust which they did. I began my wobbly walk around. "Good morning Hidden." I turned to see Applejack coming to me. "Hey Applejack." I replied. "Pinkie came real early today and said she's having the welcome party for you at five today." She told me. "Right, okay I'll remember that." I said. I forgot about that. My mind just isn't working.
I was hiding my pain from Applejack so it seems as though I'm fine. I really don't know what's wrong with me, but it isn't normal. "I have some things I need to look after, see you later." I told Applejack. "Alright then, bye." She said as I left. In my state I couldn't remember what I needed to do. I barely remembered yesterday. My head was messed up and it wasn't getting better. "Hey Hidden Blade! Are you hard of hearing?" I heard the familiar pagasus voice say. I turned to see Rainbow hovering there annoyed.
"Oh what sorry, I'm a bit out of it." I said. I guess she was trying to get my attention but my hearing is messed. "Obviously, what's going on?" She asked. "Honestly I don't know. But I don't like it." "Maybe its that changeling messing with your head." Then I realized it could be Kram. But its impossible, he couldn't have found me. "No, its not the changeling." I replied.
"Well hopefully it clears up before the party." She said. My legs wobbled a bit but I recovered. "Also there was no luck in finding Kram or whatever." She added. She looked concern about my behaviour but I could handle myself. "Its alright Dash, we'll find him." It felt weakened by the fact we were on a hill and the ground beneath me was slanted. It felt like I could fall at any moment.
"Are you okay?" She asked. "I'm fine-" As if those words triggered something my legs wobbled and I couldn't recover. I fell forward into Rainbow, luckily she was somehow able to keep herself up and she help me from the ground. It was weird but before I could react to the situation my mind began showing me images of the dream I had. Images of the destruction of my world and this one.
I felt anger and revengeful towards Kram but then the feeling was quickly replace by sadness as it showed the ponies and my family dead. I was reminded of what was at stake and what needed to be done. "Its either you need medical help for the mind thing or you really like me." Rainbow said and that's when I realized I was in her arms. I quickly jumped from her with a little blush.
I wanted to punch myself for that but luckily the awkward situation is over. "I may need a little help." I admitted. "No duh. Come on lets get you to the hospital." I really didn't want to go there, too many ponies. "Please no! I mean, too shy, anything else." She seemed confused by that but she just said: "Uh okay, how about Fluttershy, she's good at fixing animals up, how different can a pony be." She said. "Okay come on."
She began leading me. I was stumbling around and tripping over myself practically the whole time. I could see what appeared to be a cottage up ahead but I focused too much and I fell face first into the road. Rainbow landed beside me looking worried. "Need help?" She asked. "Yes." I admitted. She stepped beside me for support and I put a hoof around her to keep me steadied.
"We're almost there." Dash said. We eventually made it and she knocked at the door. My mind is hazy at that moment. Due to the fact that I wasn't feeling my best. I do remember she answered the door. She seemed shy at first to see me but Rainbow explained that I'v been acting funny so she quickly let us in.
"So what's wrong?" She asked in a very concerned way. I sat down on a couch and instantly my head throbbed so I put my hoof to it. "I feel messed up..." I managed to say rubbing my head sorely. "How?" "I have a m-massive migraine and I can't think clearly." I said with a groan. "Oh dear, here press this to your head." Fluttershy said giving me an ice pack. I pressed it to my head with my hoof.
I noticed Dash roll her eyes. I questioned her but no words came out, so I tried again, the same result. I began to feel worried. What if my head memory was breaking? what if the red matter in me ran out? What if Kram wrecked my time line? All of a sudden Rainbow yelled at me asking "Can you hear me?!" Fluttershy looked really worried.
"Dash...Fluttershy...help..." I muttered. "Okay, just look at me and stay awake." she said. I looked up into her eyes. All of a sudden my head began feeling like it could burst. I gripped it and clenched my teeth. Fluttershy said something to Dash and she walked away. "Come on Blade, keep it together!" Dash yelled at me. I looked weakly at her. My head throbbing.
Then I fell back on the couch and my vision was gone. I heard Dash yelling at me: "Stay awake! Come on!" She was shaking me. Then my horn glowed and a zap flew out. It zapped through the wall and I swear it turned an apple into a butterfly. Then I blacked out.
I looked around and saw that I was back home. But I was still a pony. "Hidden, over here!" I looked over and saw Spike. "Spike?" "Just get over here!" He said. I went over to him and all of a sudden I woke up. I was in Twilight's house. I looked around and saw Twilight, Spike, Pinkie, Flutter and Dash around me. "Yeah, your alright!" Pinkie said hugging me.
I was really happy to still be here. "We were so worried!" Flutter said. "What happened?" I asked. "Your magic over loaded in your head." Twilight explained. "That can happen? Dash asked. "Not usually...but Hidden Blade's magic is...different." Twilight said. I wasn't surprised, I wasn't even suppose to be a unicorn.
I really respected them, they were...are the best friends I'v ever had. I think they deserve to know a little more about my situation. "Guys...I think you deserve to kno-*" I was cut off when Twilight said why my magic is different. "Hidden Blade's magic is...dragon."
I didn't know what to think. My magic was dragon, I had so many questions. But with those questions came worries. My disguise doesn't literally make me the animal, just forms my body. My insides are still the same...or should be. I should have known something was up when the little blast came from my horn. I shouldn't be magical. I shouldn't have it, it shouldn't even EXIST!
But there I was, just finding out my magic is dragon. If that even makes sense, although none of this does. It pushes the barrier of my very understanding of the way the universe works. Have I been wrong, is there magic. For once I thought of the fact that this could be an illusion. Maybe I disappeared in the portal and now I'm existing through pure self illusion. The brain makes you feel the world around you, makes you exist. Does anything really exist if you couldn't taste, smell, hear, feel, or see?
I'm not getting into the basics of existence, with my knowledge I could easily spend hours on the subject and prove against everything anyone would know. But anyways, whether I exist or not, my brain is telling me I do. So as long as blood flows through my mind... whatever is left of it, I will go with this adventure.
As you could guess Twilight was bombarded with all the questions you'd expect. Basically I am a unicorn that posses dragon magic. My body can't take the pressure of the magic and since I'm not using it, my mind just explodes. At this point my brains already imploded, so the opposite would just take away the rubbish. Fluttershy and Pinkie eventually left. The party was canceled due to my condition.
I guess the point I should carry off from is when it was just me, Spike, Twilight and Dash. "What does dragon magic do?" I asked. "I don't know, not many ponies examine dragons close enough to know. I do know that Spike can breath fire that can teleport a scroll." Twilight replied. "That's pretty cool." Dash said. "Yeah, we have the same powers!" Spike added. I was still wrapping my head around the whole 'magic' thing, but this was insane.
Like, watching Twilight levitate books around was amazingly dumb. It's one of those things that couldn't be, shouldn't be, but is! I began feeling sick, I was feeling bad all day, but now I just felt like crap! "Uhg, if this is what dragon magic feels like then I don't like it." I said. "Come on, don't be a wimp, be strong like me." Dash said flying up to me and trying to show off her muscles. I wish I was human for a second so I could show my bad boys.
But then I sneezed, and as i did so a magic beam flew from my horn and bounced off the roof onto Spike's tail who breathed fire out of surprise. "Whoops." I said feeling awful. "Be careful Hidden, who knows what your magic could do." Twilight said searching through books. "Egghead." Dash said. "Hey, reading is cool." I said and Spike nodded in agreement.
"Don't tell me your an egghead, too!" Dash said to me. "I'm not an egghead, I am a above-average-learning-craving-genius-who-consumes-knowledge-from-ledgable-symbols," I said. Dash rolled her eyes. "Egghead if I'v ever seen one. But your not a half bad egghead." "What do you mean?" "Well you are hunting an evil changeling, which is kind of cool."
"Your hunting an evil changeling?" Spike asked. "Why didn't you say something? Wait, you have changelings in your dimension, it must be similar to this one." Twilight said. "Different dimension?" Dash asked. Well that escalated quickly. I wanted to sit back in my chair and say that but instead I chose to explain.
"I guess I told half the story to each of you." I said. "Can you put them together? What's going on?" Dash said. "I'm from a different dimension because a changeling knocked me in, he followed me here and wants me dead. But I'm hunting him to kill him. So-*" I was cut off when Twilight said. "Your being hunted!? You know how dangerous that is to be hunted by a changeling?!" "You could have mentioned the dimension part?" Dash said.
I just looked blankly at them. "Yup." And then we heard thunder and pouring rain. "Wow, that rain is early, it was suppose to come later-*" Dash was interrupted by lightning. "-And it was suppose to start slower." She said annoyed. "You two can stay here if you want." Twilight offered. "I guess I will." Dash said and I nodded.
I began thinking. I saw the true reality: I can't win. How can I beat Kram with nothing. No weaponry, no technology, nothing! He has surprise on his side. I began to feel saddened. I can't lose, everything is at stake. I remembered the dream. All the loss...the destruction...the misery. "You fight... I heard a voice, from no where. For nothing... What did that mean? You will be consumed by absolute loss... What? You will fight... you will lose... for nothing
I will not suffer. Lose to win... Edward. My eyes bust open and kicked my feet out. I was painting and sweating. "What's wrong?" Spike asked who was sitting in a chair across from me. "Lose to win." I said fumbling my words. "What?" Dash said waking up near Spike. "I think Kram contacted me." "Kram?" Spike asked. "The changeling." Dash answered. "i'm fighting for nothing... I will lose and suffer. Lose to win... Edward." I repeated the words trying to make sense of it.
"Have you gone crazy?" Dash asked. "That happened a long time ago." I joked, but it seemed almost true. "I noticed." She replied. "Lose to win... lose to win, what does that mean?" I asked. "Maybe you have to lose the fight, so what you care about doesn't suffer, so you kind of win." Spike had a good theory. That must be it. "Who's Edward?" Dash asked. "I'm Edward, or was many years ago. Which is odd." I said.
"You were? You need to fill us in." Spike said. "Of course being someone else is odd." Dash stated. "Not that, no one knows that I was Edward but me, not even Kram." "Then how did he know to call you that?" Spike asked. "I don't know! This is getting real serious." "You just noticed?" Dash said. I started to worry a lot. "Something is happening and I don't know what or even a clue how it it happening." I began breathing deeply.
"Hey man calm down." dash told me but I ignored her. "Oh geez, this is really bad, oh no." I continued freaking out, see I am use to fighting something I know nothing about, but this was different, I was powerless and my mind was messed. I was having an anxiety attack pretty much. I was breathing deeply and sweating and pretty much freaking out. My horn began glowing without my control and Dash and Spike obviously noticed how I was.
"come on buddy, calm down, we'll figure this out." Spike said trying to assure me. "If I can't beat him, all worlds suffer, everyone will die!" I exclaimed, I could tell Spike was getting frightened. "Everyone?" Spike mumbled to himself. "Hey, Hidden look at me!" Rainbow ordered me. I didn't and my eyes continued darting around the room. I could barely breath like my throat was tightening. "Hidden!" She said grabbing my face gently and moving it to her view.
I realized how beautiful her magenta eyes were and her nice rainbow mane. I got lost in her eyes, unable to move as I slightly heard her words entering my ears. "Calm down, just breath. In and out.' She was saying as I breathed in the rhythm. She rested her hoof on my leg for support. I knew then there was that unmistakable feeling. Not that bull crap buzz or all those sneaky ways to try not to admit it, but I knew, know, that was love.
I'm not the kind of person to hide things from myself, I knew right away what was going on. But I couldn't help it, I was lost in her gaze, powerless to fight back. Rainbow Dash was just staring back at me. I was breathing deeply still and I could feel my body shaking. "Whats going on?" Spike asked very worried. "I think he's having an anxiety attack." Twilight said examining me. I felt my head jerk from Dash's hoof and I escaped her hypnotic look. My head jerked again.
"Blade stay awake." Twilight ordered. Then is felt like the whole world slowed down and all I heard was the rain. I didn't feel anything and my throat felt like it closed. I held my breath. Then I saw an illusion of Kram, I was filled with rage and I powered my horn and zapped as powerful as I could at the illusion. But the illusion was still there. I just wanted to pound him to death with my hooves.
Then Dash slapped me out of it. I slowly lifted my head to her angry. "Finally, you're starting to get freaky." She said. "Enough Dash he is going through a very difficult time." Twilight said. Spike walked over to where I blasted, I destroyed a shelf and books fell. Spike picked one up. "Sorry guys, I had a moment, I'm good-*" "Hey!" Spike interrupted. "I found something!" The three of us quickly went over to investigate. I was astonished at what I saw.
Twilight read the title which looked rather long. The book had a picture of two creatures, one light and one dark, appearing to be fighting. The creatures were humans. "Its a prophecy of two creatures fighting. The creatures posses forgotten elements: Deception and Determination. Deception is evil but uses goodness to fight the good Determination who is forced to use evil forces." Twilight explained. "Okay, what does that have to do with me?" I asked. "It says a unicorn named Hidden Blade wields an element."
I was pretty frightened to say the least. I don't know how the book could be referring to me, I'm not from this dimension, I'm not even a real unicorn. But there I was, in the book as an element wielder. It didn't say which element I posses, and I don't really care. Luckily, they didn't put two and two together. They didn't figure I was the creature or think much of which one I was. Luckily this dimension has no real history so obviously this could be fake.
It could have been randomly generated. Wait a second, if this world was generated from my computer windows that were open...oh crap, that wasn't the only tab open. What if it mixed my tabs together into one dimension, one world.What were in my other tabs? I don't remember. I think one of them was a Black Ops 2 Zombies thing on the wiki. I wish I could remember. Luckily I haven't ran into anything but My Little Pony yet. I wonder what will happen in my future...if I have one.
Spike and Dash looked at me. "What? How could I wield one, I'm not even from this dimension." I said. "I don't know but that what it says." Twilight told me. "Which one does he have?" Spike asked. "It doesn't say." This didn't make sense. "Well, I don't wield either, its probably just a mythical book." I said. "I think its more of a prophecy." Twilight replied. "I bet Hidden Blade is the good one and the changeling is the bad one." Dash said.
"But the good one is using evil forces." Twilight said. "But aren't we his forces?" Spike asked. "I'm my own force." I said. "We're helping you, we're your forces, and we're good..." Twilight said getting suspicious. I could feel the mood getting heavy, I didn't need them against me, too. I didn't want that.
"Come on guys, I'm not evil." I was getting annoyed, and a little mad that they would accuse me of being evil. "Its just a theory, we haven't known you long enough to be certain." Twilight said. "Be truthful! Are you evil!" Dash ordered. I was a little heart broken that she didn't trust me either. I didn't care for feeling that way for her, I knew it was just a side effect of my transformation.
"I'm not deception. How could you believe the source, its just some stupid old book. It means nothing!" I was frustrated, very. "Blade, its a book that is non-fiction. It has to be-*" Twilight was saying until I interrupted her. "How dare you accuse me! I'm risking my whole live on saving all universes from Kram, I'm the least evil thing in all of existence! And all your going by is a stupid book!" I yelled enraged. I am not evil.
I didn't notice my horn glowing, and I was thinking of the book being destroyed. My horn lit up fully and the book burst into a quick flame that disintegrated the book and burned the side of Twilight's face. Spike and Dash quickly went to her aid. I was debating whether I should be the tuff guy, or the sorry guy. I just stood there and watched my action's outcome.
Spike turned to me and said, "Maybe you should go." "Fine." I said still fuming. I decided to use my magic. I thought of the farthest place in this dumb town, or even the universe. My horn glowed and I teleported. I only got to the door of the guest room. Spike just looked at me questioningly. "I meant to do that!" I said walking into the room. I felt like I was grounded even though they have no authority over me and I could leave when I wanted.
I eventually fell into a light sleep. I had time to think, I was always like that, when I am angry, I am angry! Edward... What the? Not this again! ...yes this again, I need to talk to you... You can read my thoughts? And who are you and how do you know my name?! All will be answered soon. You must keep all who you care about indoors. Sometimes its hard to understand you, with your accent. Keep your dearest friends indoors, preferably three. That made me think of Dash, Spike, and Twilight. Perfect, make sure that everyone hates someone and likes someone, also a boy and girl must have feelings for each other. How is any of that of any use. Oh, there's no use to it, it just makes it more fun!
Whatever, I will, its not like anyone is going outside, its pouring rain! That could be my fault...anyways, I must go! You will do as I say, right? Okay? Wunderbar! And with that it left. I stayed asleep a little more. Then I woke up to a creaking sound. I jerked awake and looked over to see Dash. "Oh hey your awake." She said noticing me. "Yeah." I said tired. She was headed to another bed beside mine.
"What was that outburst about?" She asked standing by my bed. I rubbed my face with my hoof. "I stress myself out sometimes, you know, work to hard at something. Its even worse when your life's at stake." I said. "Is this a regular occurrence?" She asked.I nodded.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know." She said. My heart was truly pounding for her, I knew I loved her now. Just the way she is, she barely said anything but it was enough to take my breath away. But I couldn't let emotions get in the way of my mission. "Its okay, its my life, I love y- helping universes out." I said. "You're very brave you know, even more than me." She said. "No way. I bet you've done tons of brave things." "Not like you though." "Maybe not to that extreme, but I'm always covered with technology that would blow you away, your doing is bare hoofed." I said happy I said hoof instead of hand.
I could see her blushing. "You got any cool stuff on you now?" She asked. I looked at my watch. "Not really." I was saddened by that fact still. "See, your doing this by yourself." She said looking from the floor to me. She looked so pretty right now. "Yeah, but I'm failing." "No your not." She said. "I bet your the good one." "Thanks." I said.
She just nodded. There we go, nice. "Oh great." You got any power on you by any chance. "Just my watch." Whatever, be careful with love, okay. It makes it fun and dangerous. "No, not really." Yes it does. Especially for you, your lucky you have a chance with her. "You are not going there." No one could love you too much, especially not sleep with you, well if you took me to dinner first. How does he not know I mean fight-, oh. "Just shut it and get over here, I want to see who I'm dealing with!" You will soon enough. My train of thought was broken when Dash said: "...-we're going to do?" She asked. I realized my surroundings. Dash was next to me in my bed. Then I heard laughing in my head. Ha! You were speaking out loud. Have fun with this. Oh.
I was about to stop Dash but then I saw her eyes and was frozen. "Blade?" "Yes?" "Why did you tell me to do this?" She asked, I knew what she was thinking, I didn't want to, even with my love. No love, scratch everything I said before! I need you focused, no love until...another day. You aren't the boss of me. Before Dash could say anything else I dove my face to hers and kissed.
After we finished I revealed my feelings: "I love you Dash." She blushed. Screw you too then! "I don't think its normal for a relationship to be between dimensions." She said obviously happy. "We aren't normal, we're extraordinary." I said before we kissed again. I think its safe to say I will definitely be enjoying my stay and I enjoyed that night.
"If you're going to shoot yourself, get it over with!" Kram commanded. I had been sitting there for a few seconds, yeah, I think that fast. "You know as well as I do, you need me to take over all universes!" I snapped back. "I don't need you Mark, or Blade, or whatever your name is!" He yelled back. "You don't have the guts!" I then pointed the gun at him. "Go ahead I don't-*" He stopped mid sentence and kicked me over my face.
I dropped the gun and fell back. He continued walking at me. I put my hand to my face feeling that it was bleeding but then I noticed Kram and quickly picked my gun up and pointed it at myself again. He stopped his attack and smiled. "You are realy dumb Mark." He taunted. Don't do it! Hang in there, help is coming, trust me! I don't trust him so I put my finger on the trigger and went back to rethinking...
I was sitting at the dining table with Dash and Twilight as Spike made breakfast. None of us spoke, we never even made eye contact since this morning. I was just looking at the table thinking. Me and Dash didn't do all that much, not as much as was thought. Twilight found out about it (probably from hearing something) and we haven't said a word making it a very awkward silence.
I don't know what Dash was thinking, was she ashamed of herself? I knew Twilight didn't want anything to do with me and had complete suspicions that I was evil. I wanted to look at Dash's expression but didn't bother to. Spike came over with pancakes and we ate. Spike just looked at all of us. Spike didn't know about me and Dash. "We can't just sit here, we need to discuss what happened." Spike said.
I was actually happy he said that, I wanted Twilight's help. "He's right, I would like to talk about that." I said looking up finally. Twilight looked at me and sighed, I noticed the burn mark, it wasn't too bad, she probably healed some of it,too. "Alright, I'd like to ask what are you actually doing and why are you here?" She said bitterly.
I still didn't want to come clean. I don't think they could take it. "Okay, I am not evil, I'll tell you that for certain. I'm certainly not the creature on that book." I said, she was obviously not buying it. "Look, I'm real sorry for that outburst, I'v just been over stressed, I'm in a different dimension, risking my life to defend all worlds from Kram."
I saw that she was thinking. "Alright, I'll give you another shot." She said. "Thanks, I wouldn't mind help in this mission." I could see that Spike was happy and Dash seemed relieved. "What have you done for the mission so far?" Spike asked. "Well, I got Dash looking for suspicious activity." I said. "Still nothing by the way." First thing Dash said all morning.
"Okay, so we need to find him." Twilight concluded. "Find who?" Pinkie said coming out of nowhere. That scared me so much. I had no idea where she came from, I'm always on my guard but that was crazy! The others seemed less surprise than me. I guess she was expecting an answer to that question but I was still spooked by her sudden appearance.
"uh, hi Pinkie. We're...uh... playing hide and seek and we need to find...him?" Twilight said. Luckily she knew not to spread the word. "Who though?" She asked again. "Oh, uh..." Twilight said thinking. "We're trying to find an evil guy named Kram!" spike said. I glared at him. "Oh, I know a Kram! I met him yesterday!" She exclaimed. I was shocked, Kram was here!
Twilight and Dash also looked scared. "Where did you see him?" Me and Dash asked at the same time. "I saw him on the edge of town." She continued. "His full name is Kramton." That is even worse. Kramton is a robot Kram made, he sent it to kill me a long time ago but it got trapped, I guess its free. That''s a relief, Kram might not know where I am after all.
"In fact, I brought Kramton with me to show you him!" she said as the robot walked in. It was disguised as a pony but still dangerous. It looked over at me and a blue light shawn over me. Its eyes turned red. It scanned me and now knows who I am! "That's not a pony its a killer robot!" I managed to yell before it began transforming. The five of us quickly backed away. "What can it do?!" Dash asked. "Well, its very powerful and runs on red matter. It was sent by Kram to hunt me." I stated.
"Spike get out of here, guys I'll hold him back." Twilight said as Spike ran and she stepped in front of us. I was still scared, I had nothing to fight it with and it wasn't my regular body. It finished transforming and it was a humanoid creature that obviously looked very strong. Twilight shot a beam at it, it roared in revolt. Then it hurled a chair at her. She caught it in mid air with her magic and placed it down gently.
He chucked another chair which she did the same. 'We got to do something!" Dash said. I was still taking in what had happened. He than went for the table and through it at us, Twilight blocked it with a force field. He quickly shot the force field with a bullet. "How do I beat it?" She asked quickly. "Uh...water!" I said quickly. Kramton caught her off guard and broke the force field and smacked her aside. She was out cold.
"Hey! No one hurts my friends!" Dash said taking a battle stance. He than tried to catch her but she dodged, he tried again and same results. Than using his powerful technology, beat her and she was caught in his grasp. "Come on Blade! Help!" She cried before she was thrown to a book shelf. "I got this!" Pinkie said stepping up to the plate. She took out a party canon from nowhere and blasted him with it. It had no effect.
He than picked her up and threw her. "Hey!" I yelled as I was up next. I was his true target. "You think you can just barge in and-*" He took me by the throat. I tried calling for help but no sound came out. I was being strangled. He aimed a shotgun at my head. Right before he shot Dash came and bucked his arm which made me fall lose. "Don't worry, I got you!" She said to me. I got my breath back. "Lets do this!" She said.
It pulled its arm back and threw a punch at us. We managed to dodge and run into the kitchen. "Alright Dash, we got to destroy its system, like any living thing." I said picked up plates. We were ducked behind a counter, we could hear it fast approaching. Dash picked up a pot. we got up from our hiding spot and attacked. I was wiping the plated at him quickly which was making him stumble back. Dash was hurling pots and pans at him.
Eventually we ran out of ammunition and he regained his footing. 'Now what?" Dash asked. "We, uh, run?" I suggested. "We can't leave Twilight and Pinkie!" The robot picked up the counter and flung it and us at the wall. My legs were crushed under some wood. Dash was in the sink. It continued on the offensive. It was almost at me. "Buck this!" I heard Dash say,
I looked over and saw her buck the tap off the sink allowing water to fly out at Kramton. It began retreating and making weird noises. "Come on, we need more water!" I said. She continued bucking at it and I got out of the rubble and blasted at it with my horn. We were destroying the plumbing desperately. Then the whole plumbing burst and water gushed out on Kramton.
We than cheered as Kramton fell over shocking. "Yeah, we did it. Nice thinking Dash!" I said. "Not bad yourself!" She said to me. Once again I fell under her spell and found myself staring into her eyes unable to move. "Blade?" "Yes?" I was answered by her pressing her lips against mine.
"Hey guys look out!" I heard Pinkie call from the book case she was stuck in. We broke the kiss and looked over at the robot to see it getting up. "Oh no! We don't have anything to throw at it!" Dash exclaimed. I quickly looked around and saw the window in the kitchen to the back yard. "The window!' I ordered as we smashed through it. "That should give us some tim-*" Dash was interrupted when Kramton smashed through the wall. We scrambled to our feet and ran to the street.
"We need to get to the well, there's lots of water there!" Dash said. "Alright lets do it." We started running with Kramton on our tails. I haven't really ran with four legs, so I wasn't to use to it, but ponies were faster than humans. Kramton was rather fast. "Just around this shop!" Dash said gesturing to a shop up ahead. I could tell she was slowing down for me and she could easily run double this.
I knew there was no time to go around, Kramton was right behind me. "Around? We got to go through!" I said lowering my head as I picked up speed, Dash didn't question me and followed suit. I hit the window but my horn got stuck. Before I had enough time to budge it free Dash Smashed through leaving a big chunk of glass stuck on my horn. It made my head that much more heavier so it dropped and I spun around on the slippery floor.
Dash stopped and looked back. I looked up at Kramton who was already right there. His hand turned into a giant saw and he crunched it down on my head. He missed, which is why I have a gun at my head. But he hit my horn, he chopped the tip right off. I don't think I have ever felt anything like it. There was extreme pain, there was the release of power, and the numbing sensation like someone cut off a limb, I couldn't feel it. It was like someone ripped out your spinal cord.
I screamed in pain yelling a curse and a "MY HORN!" You know that release of power I was mentioning before? Well it came out life a blast and hit Kramton flying. "Blade!" I heard Dash yell and before I knew it I was being held by her. "Gah!" Is all I could manage to say as I fought to stay awake. "The well is just up ahead! And the robot is getting up; more angry than ever!" She told me.
She was right, the robot got up and now was armed with a mini-gun. My eyes widened at the realization. "Run!" We got up and ran. Kramton was firing the mini-gun at us, ripping apart the walls around us. We jumped out the back door of the store as the whole place practically exploded. "Its right there!" She said. I could see her true injuries. She was all sweaty and her head was gashed and her body was thrashed and bruised. I'm guessing I had similar injuries, not to mention the powerful pain of my horn being chopped off.
We scrambles to our hooves and ran to the well...neither of us actually had any idea what we'd do once we got there. We just looked at each other waiting for a suggestion. I heard Kramton emerge from the rubble, with the shot gun now. "Now what?!" Dash asked. "I, uh, run! Go get help, I'll keep him at bay!" I yelled. Kramton was almost here. "I'm not going anywhere! I'm loyalty and I will-*" "Enough of this, you will go now or we will be destroyed!" I barked. She was about to protest.
I nudged her. "Blade, we can run!" She said, tears in her eyes. "Dash..." I said with sorrow as Kramton came right in front of us. He shot but just missed. "Go!" I said smacking her flanks as she finally took my order and left. I heard the pull back of the shot gun, he was ready to fire again. "Kram's orders have been changed since he's seen you last!" I yelled at the machine. "I will give my self over, if you promise to-*" I was interrupted by the shot of the shot gun. "I said you're orders are different, don't disobey Kram!"
Than I noticed the gaping whole in my chest, my flesh was torn and blood seeped out like a river. Luckily my body has adapted to this kind of thing, so I didn't die. But he must have punctured a lung. "You're out of shots, go ahead reload, help will only come quicker!" I said. But he didn't reload, instead he took out a steel whip and slapped it down on me, sending pain through my body.
I fell to the ground. Now he reloaded. "You stupid machine!" I needed to buy Dash some time. Than I remembered. I took out my hidden blade from its spot; tucked under my watch. I activated it and it flashed with red. I used whatever magic I had and levitated it. "You won't kill me Kramton!" I said sending the hidden blade into its chest area which made it begin to malfunction.
But it still reloaded, and aimed the gun. It was sparking red matter out of it. It couldn't handle the power of the red matter which was making it slow down. It put its robotic hand on the trigger and prepared to fire...
There I was, laying on the ground waiting from the shot, the shot that would kill me. I knew the red matter screws up in this dimension so I wasn't hoping on my mind transporter. Then, an apple came soaring down and hit the robot in the head. Normally this would be very ineffective, but it has taken so much damage is actually did something!
I heard a victory yell in a familiar voice. It was Applejack, Dash must have gotten her. I looked up and behind me, which shot pain through my neck as I struggled to stay awake. "I got you Hidden!" She yelled as she bucked another apple, I also saw Dash there, bucking apples, too. The apples were flying at Kramton. At a rapid rate.
The robot was staggering but managed to aim the gun and prepare to shoot them. "Over my dead body!" I yelled at him which made him pause his actions giving me enough time to move the hidden blade deeper through his machinery before it fell at my hooves. That made him glitch out more as the apples seeped through his electrical system.
Finally he fell to the ground defeated and malfunctioned. Dash quickly flew to my side. "W-way...to go...Rainbow, and app-" I said weakly before I couldn't speak but only gurgle blood that now filled my mouth. I spit it up and fell into Dash's lap. I could barely hear her yelling for help as I struggled to breath.
"Look at me." I heard her say. I made my head turn to her. Unable to really respond. "You brave unicorn, stay alive, we got you." She said as Applejack came beside me and some white ponies. The noise became a distant drone as I seeped into darkness.
You didn't die? 'You again? Oh, and no, I didn't, did I?' No. How? 'I have evolved, you see. All my adventuring and strain on my body has made me build up a resistance.' Good. Now, you must get your hooves on the element 115. Then, you must get a victim to consume it. '115? That's the code for red matter! Why would you want someone to consume it. It would destroy their mind...' Yes, but if you catch them early you will be able to keep them alive, but with a weaker mind, allowing access into it!
'Neh, seems like a waste.' You've consumed it before. That's how I have communication with you. 'What, no. My mind is actually partly made of it. Anyways that's not the point. The point is when I get red matter, I'll use it to make a transporter to my dimension, so I get stuff from my lab bring it back and use it to protect Equestria!' Why come back? You have grown attached to the residence haven't you! 'It's only temporary... shut up, get out of here!' Heha! In good time...
The blackness began to fade and my eyes started opening. It was like I was asleep, except I'm very sore. I saw blurs at first then I reconised them as Twilight, Dash, Spike, and seemingly a nurse. When I turned my head I saw Applejack, too. I tried to speak but only coughed. "Shhh, don't talk. Just breath." Twilight said to me.
I focused on breathing and realized I had a breathing tube on my face. I also had intense stitching on my chest where the holes were and bandages all over me. It also felt like my horn was in a cast. "You're lucky to be alive." Twilight said. I knew it wasn't luck, it was my own doings. "Will he be alright?" Spike asked the nurse. "Well, he's in critical condition, his lung has been pierced and his horn cut off." She answered.
"He'll be here for a little while." She added. She was right, too. I was there for weeks. Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie visited me as well. Applejack came when she could. Twilight checked up and Spike as well. Dash was here quite often which made me happy as I loved her still. It wasn't to good, I couldn't talk to them until near the end.
I had a lot of time to think though, you know, when I'm by myself. I thought of my future here and how far I would go with Dash. How Twilight and Spike were with the transporter. The voice contacted me constantly in my sleep. He always told me about '115' and his plan. I never listened. I also thought of the lead Kram was getting on me, that ruckus must have made it easy to find me.
Finally after a week or two I was free, with only the cast on my horn and the stitches. But I could breath again and talk. So right away I needed to tell the rest about it, fill them in. It was getting dangerous, I needed a new plan.
I got them all together at Rarity's boutique. She had invited me over, I'm guessing she wasn't expecting this, but there was no hiding it now, from anypony. Spike and some others were fixing up Twilight's house from the damages. Kramton's body was thrown in the well to be safe. But now I had their attention, and they were waiting an explanation.
"Alright. Hello everypony. I'll start fast and tell you it straight out." I started as they all waited. Except Dash and Twilight, they knew what was the deal. "I'm from a different dimension." I said straight out. They weren't as surprised as I thought, but still quite surprised. I knew I had to continue. "It seems I've been followed by my old enemy named Kram. He is an evil changeling who wants all to suffer. I have been fighting him for many years, and now it seems I must make a stand here."
I was referring to Ponyville, I now know of that name. They were all quiet for a couple of seconds. "There's more." Twilight spoke up. I looked over at her, I didn't know what she was talking about. She looked at me but could see the look in my confused eyes so she continued. "I have, had, a book on a prophecy. That prophecy involved Hidden Blade."
She said gesturing to me. I was actually annoyed by the book still and I could tell Dash remembered that night where I confessed my feelings. "It is of two odd looking creatures, they both wield forgotten elements: Determination and Deception." She said looking at me with a hard stare. "We think the other is Kram. And we don't know who is who, obviously Deception being bad." Dash went off from Twilight's statement.
"Then what was that weird monster that attacked you so viciously?" Rarity asked. "It was a monster made by Kram, it was made to kill me." I replied. "Well that meanie!" Pinkie exclaimed. I shook my head, I was rather disappointed in myself, I wanted to have relationships with these ponies and forgot my true mission.
"Listen, this isn't your battle guys." I said. "How is this not our battle? The thing attacked our town!" Applejack added. I shook my head. "Its way to out there, let me just get out of here, back to my dimension and deal with it, I'll be out off your mane." I said. "Blade?" Dash began but I raised a hoof to shush her.
"If Twilight will help..." I was looked hopeful at her. "Sorry, I got my own problems Blade, I'm still not sure about you." She replied. "Okay then. I-I'll figure it out." I actually wasn't sure what to do. "You could stay with me, you know so I could help you fight Kram." Dash offered with a hint of blush.
"You live in a cloud though, Hidden couldn't." Rarity reminded Dash who looked sad. "Trust me I'l be fine. I'll figure something out." I knew I had no idea where to go. "You could come back to the barn?" Applejack asked. " "I need more resources available." I replied. "I'll just go to that forest Spike showed me a while back, there must be tons of materials there." I added.
"No!" They said at once. "Oh, you can't we couldn't let you, why don't you stay with me, I live on the edge of it, you know, if you don't mind..." Fluttershy said very timid like. I couldn't say no. "Alright, fine." They all looked relieved. "Now there's been something that's been bugging me for a while." They looked at me. "Do ponies eat building materials?''
Fluttershy lead me to her house where I would stay. I did see the forest that must house many vile creatures, but also materials I need. Fluttershy told me to make myself at home in the guest room and she had to explain my staying to her bunny apparently.
"How long will you be here for?" She asked as we sat on her couch. I thought for a moment. "Not long if all goes to plan. I won't outstay a week, I promise." I replied. "Non-sense. You can stay as long as you need." She said. She seemed so nice even though we barely met. I must seem so much like a guardian the way I fought Kramton. Even though I brought him here.
"Trust me 'shy. My company is very dangerous. I'll be swift with my action to get back to my world." I said. "What's your world like by the way?" I thought for a moment as to how I could sum it up. "Different. Hugely populated and highly advanced. My world would seem very alien to here." I replied. I got myself back to my normal state. I'm on full mission mode; I must get to my world. No more distractions!
She simply nodded. "Why does this world frighten you so much?" She asked. I was quite surprised at the question. "frightened? I'm quite calm." "Come on Hidden. Don't lie. I can tell, I know how to see past your tough outside." She said with a voice of silk. I was taken back by this...and when I think about it, I am very afraid.
I sighed knowing there was no point in argue. "Okay, in all my situations, I'm always well equipped, but now...I have nothing." I said revealing what I felt. I lowered my head an looked down at my hooves. "I'm not a stranger to dimensional leaping. But, it's different. You ponies are so...positive. Harmonic. It's like a plague of happiness. Maybe my species is pulled towards the void of glee and joy. But it feels, unnatural."
Fluttershy listened intently. She wanted me to go on. "Kram and I have been fighting for almost a decade. He wants total universal domination and I stop him. But now...I feel almost powerless to do anything. No real allies, no technology, not even my regular body." I said looking up into Fluttershy's eyes.
"I don't understand the feelings I have, or why I am behaving like the way I have been lately. But its under the influence of ponies." I finished. "See, isn't that better." She said smiling, I couldn't help but to return the expression. "I'm afraid that I'll lose and you will all pay the price." I admitted.
She pulled me into a hug. "Hidden, I will help you any way I can. And so will the others. It'll be alright." She told me. I hugged her back and evaluated my situation. After a little while the hug broke and I regained my posture. "*Ahem* That was just between us." She nodded.
"We'll go searching for stuff tomorrow." She replied. I looked out the window and saw the sun setting. "I need to clear my head." I said getting up and heading outside. I sat there watching the sunset.
Your weak! 'Wow hey. Where'd that come from?' You let them get inside your head so easily? 'Shut up okay?' Your failing. 'Who are you!?' In good time. Listen. You need that 115. It's much more important than making friends. 'I know. I'm working on it.' I have located some. 'Really? Where!?' Ah, you have to earn it. I will tell you where when you do some chores for me.
'Uhg, fine.' Three chores. Okay, so number one: Make sure the yellow pegasus follows you all day tomorrow." 'Okay?' Number two: Make sure the blue one stays out of it. '...fine.' And three: Remove the cast around your horn." 'That's it?'
I put my hoof to my horn to remove the cast. But the second I did, pain flew through my body. I held back a yell and released my horn. Hmmm, maybe you need a more gentle touch. Try the yellow one. And with that the voice gave my head a break.
Then all of a sudden my mouth was covered and my front legs were pulled behind my back. I struggled against the opposing force but couldn't overtake the surprise. Then my face was turned and I was released I saw Rainbow Dash standing there.
"Geez! Dash. Trying to give me a heart attack?" I said gaining my posture back. "Just messing with you." She said sitting beside me as night began turning the sky dark. "I want to talk to you." She started. I just nodded. I remembered the voices second 'chore'. "What's with this love thing we have?" She asked.
"What do you mean?" "I don't understand it. You randomly admitted feelings and I returned them." "Yeah, I suppose. For me it was love at first sight." "I could tell from the way you looked at me." I could feel myself blush slightly. "I like you because you've proved yourself to be brave like me and fought Kramton to the point of near death!"
"I didn't want it to hurt you, or any pony." I said turning my gaze to the horizon. I could still feel her looking at me. "How far does our love run, it's quick but steady." That made me remember the week of laying in bed, we had many wordless times together but they meant a lot.
"I think our love is a fools love." I replied not moving my gaze. My situation with Dash reminds me much of 'Romeo and Juliet'. "Really. Blade, I think..." She trailed off. "Our love is a doomed love, one that shall never emerge victorious. We're too physically distant, our dimensions do not correspond with each other. I can't stay unless to doom Equestria to Kram's fiery."
"Is your love sincere?" She asked suddenly. It took me a second to answer. "Yes." My gaze turning to meet hers. "Mine is mutual. Being as awesome as I am. I think I can take down Kram with you." She said. "The battle isn't won through awesomeness, not even through his death. For his death means my own." I replied.
"What do you mean?" "Kram must not die. If he dies by my hand or anyone's my fate has to match his for our dimensions parallel each other." There was a hanging silence. "So if you died, would he." My reply was slow. "I don't believe so, his universe is the dominant one. Mine is the mirror." I found that out the hard way long ago.
Rainbow seemed to have gained an idea. "What if me and my friends turn him to stone!" "That could work. But how?" "Do you know of the Elements of Harmony." "Can't say I'm familiar of it." She explained to me all about them and I now could see her plan. "I see. If it comes to it, then it will be done." I answered.
We were silent for a while in the night, it was a bit chilly making me shiver. "Back to our relationship." She said. "are you sure you couldn't stay." She said. I shook my head. She seemed sad. There was more silence. "But we could make do with the time we have." I said putting my hoof on her cheek making her blush. "I guess so. I mean if you insist, er-" I cut her off by kissing her.
She followed suit very quickly and she grabbed my hoof. Her tongue declared itself leader of my mouth quite quickly. I stroked her mane as we exchanged our saliva. Number two: Do not get the blue one involved. I heard the familiar voice in my head say. I remembered my mission and what must be done.
I pulled my mouth from hers as the bridge of lovers saliva broke. Her mouth hung open with her eyes closed for a moment before it closed and her eyes opened. I looked into her eyes. "What's wrong?" She asked. I needed an excuse. "Tonight isn't the right night. Not the right spot either. Patience." I said quickly. She nodded. "I see."
She got up. "When your ready for my awesomeness let me know." She said with a sly smile. I got up as well. "Later my love." I said. She blushed and then turned to leave. I caught a glimpse of her well toned flanks but she put her tailed along my face blocking my view. "Patience." She teased as she took flight.
I went back to Fluttershy's when I heard Rainbow call down: "What was with the 'hands' and 'anyone'?" she asked from above. "Accidents in speech. Now good night." I said before going inside and fell the warmth. "Hello Hidden. You got your head clear?" Fluttershy said walking into the living room. "Yes, definitely." I said with my heart filed with love.
"Can you do me a favour Flutter." I asked. "Of course." "Could you take off the cast on my horn."
It was the morning of the next day. Me and Fluttershy were outside real early to get a head start to finding the pieces I need. My horn felt weird from being so exposed, I'v had it covered it up for over a week. It was a nice summer day, very fresh with a nice breeze. My mind was working non-stop to figure out how to create a machine to transport me home. But my mind has also been distracted by other things, blue things.
"Perfect day for searching huh shy?" I said letting the wind soar through my mane. I wanted to enjoy the little things, in other words last night I faced reality. I wasn't getting any where soon. So I better get comfy and enjoy my time here. I had the perfect way of going about that. "Yes. We must be very careful in Everfree forest. There are many dangers." She replied. I nodded. I wasn't exactly worried about any threat other than Kram.
We were just about to get under way when we were stopped by a certain purple dragon. "Hey! Mind if I help you out. Twilight still thinks your untrustworthy but I trust you and I wanna help." Spike told me. "Sure come along." I replied. He smiled in glee and then we were off. It wasn't much to look at but tree after tree after tree. There was only a little path to follow and I found it hard to tell where it was but Fluttershy and Spike seemed familiar.
"You should try out some of that dragon magic!" Spike said pointing to my forehead. "My horn is still healing." I was cut short by Fluttershy. "Actually it looks fine." She said. I looked up at my horn, I could only manage to see the tip, but before there wasn't one so it must have healed. It looks different but I didn't know how. "We'll start easy." Spike said as the three of us stopped on the path.
"Try and lift that log." Spike said pointing to a rather big log, but it was badly decomposed so it was probably light. "Challenge accepted." I replied as I aimed my horn at it and concentrated hard like I have before. "Twilight said your magic must be really strong, you teleported rather effortlessly." Spike reminded me of when I teleported across the room in the library.
"I don't know, his horn might be more sensitive now." Fluttershy said. "I got this!" I reassured. After almost a minute the log was finally wrapped in a dark orange glow and slowly lifted. "Haha! I did it." I cheered. "Way to go." Spike said. I tried levitating it higher but it burst into flames.
"Ah crap." I said as I held it from the ground so the forest wouldn't catch. "Twilight also said your magic seems fire based." Spike added. "I noticed." Holding the log up put little strain on my mind so I was easily holding it up from the ground. But all of a sudden it disappeared in a burst of light and a small orange flicker went through the air and the log reappeared into a stream near by.
"I did think of water." I said. "Hey, that was like how I teleport the letters to Princess Celestia." I was about to question who that was but since she was a princess I thought other wise. "Let's continue on then." Fluttershy said. Me and Spike followed and we continued our journey through the forest. The forest seemed restless as many noises could be heard within. And every single one made Fluttershy jump.
"What exactly are we looking for?" Spike asked. "Um, yeah what are we looking for?" Fluttershy repeated. "Metal, copper, ores of sorts. Strong wood may even do but some metal is required." I replied. "Oh, I saw a lot of metal on top of that hill." Fluttershy gestured to a big hill in the distance, from here it seemed to shine, almost like it was made of iron. "Perfect."
We continued down the path until we had to get off of it to get to the hill. Fluttershy really didn't want to but didn't want us to go on and her to be left alone. The hill still seemed quite a distance, but we were making quite good time. The forest was dense so it seemed to be night, the path seemed so much lighter. After fighting through bushes for a while we finally hit a small clearing.
We were crossing it when I heard Fluttershy make a slight 'eep' noise. "What's up Flutter-" I saw pretty fast, an eye was laying in the ground, a giant one. It slowly opened and spotted Fluttershy. Another eye surfaced near Spike who jumped back to me. "What is that?" Spike asked. Fluttershy was just shaking and I didn't know.
Then the eyes disappeared under the ground. All of a sudden a bunch of sharp rocks began poking out of the ground in a circle around us. "What's with the rocks?" I asked. "They aren't rocks..." Fluttershy barely said above a whisper. "Wha?" "They aren't rocks, they're teeth." She said. Right at that realisation the ground beneath us crumbled and revealed a giant mouth beneath us.
"Whoa!" I said but with barely any thinking I teleported me and Spike beside the hole. "Fluttershy, fly out of there!" Spike yelled she got up and started flying to us, the mouth had fully eaten the ground we were on. Fluttershy's wings seemed to seize up and she fell. Luckily Spike managed to catch her by the hoof which left her dangling. "Help!" Spike said struggling to lift her weight.
I aimed my horn at her. "Wait, what about your fire!" Spike warned but I didn't have time to think about that. Right before I could help them I was grabbed by behind and lifted into the air. The creature seemed to own tentacles as they began coming out of the ground. The one the had me was tightly wrapped around my back legs. It swung around and I couldn't focus enough to use my horn.
I did manage to see one grab Spike and Fluttershy and rip them from each other. I finally got my magic going, the first thing I did was shoot a bolt of fire but missed. I shot another and hit the limb. I realised my mistake as I fell to the creatures mouth. I grabbed onto one of its teeth and managed to hold my weight. "Hold on guys!" I yelled to them as I shot some more fire trying to hit their tentacles.
Finally I hit the one holding Spike, he fell but grabbed onto my tail, it hurt but I pushed through. Now I needed to free Fluttershy. She looked terrified from the angle I could see her in. I shot a couple more bolts but missed. Finally one his the tentacle and she fell but Spike managed to catch her, which added more weight to my aching tail.
"Hold on! I'm getting us out of here!" I yelled. The tentacles were desperately searching for us. I tried pulling us up but my hooves couldn't get a strong enough grip. I could hear Flutter sobbing and the creature wouldn't stop roaring. Then it's eyes popped up and spotted us. Before I could react the tentacle wrapped around my front hooves pulling me from the sides.
We were now dangling over the centre of its mouth. "Don't let go!" Spike begged. I tried not to, but it's not like I have fingers. "Hidden! I'm coming!" I heard a familiar voice yell. I looked in the direction and saw Rainbow Dash flying to us. "Rainbow!" I yelled but just then the limb dropped us and we fell onto the beasts tongue. "Hang on here Spike." I told him pointing to a part of the tongue.
"Fine, wait where's Fluttershy!?" Spike yelled. I then saw her sliding down into the throat. "No!" I yelled. I couldn't let one die because of me, it was my oath I made all those days ago. I jumped for it. I had no idea what I was expecting. But I did. I was reaching for her but could just not reach. It was real dark, I couldn't see, only hear. I heard Spike and Rainbow yelling and Flutter begging for help.
I was just falling down the throat. I was caught. I didn't care how but I was saved. I quickly bit Fluttershy's tail holding her up. "I got you, don't worry!" Rainbow said as she flew with all her might and pulled me and Fluttershy out. We were set down in the middle of the forest. "rainbow, you have to go back for Spike!" I ordered.
'Wait. Are you alright?" She asked. "Just go!" I said again. She hesitated then left. I sat down panting. I was beat. I saw Flutter finally stop crying and look at me. "Thanks." Is all she said. "No prob." I answered. We were sitting there for a while. I started hearing Rainbow and Spike yelling for us. I didn't want them to find me. I couldn't have Rainbow with me today, it was one of the voices conditions.
"Now what?" Flutter asked. I thought for a moment. "We keep moving." I said getting up and then I helped 'shy to her hooves. "We didn't come this far not to get what I need." "What about Rainbow?" "Just us. Let's go." "but shouldn't we thank her-*" "Come on!" I yelled. It surprised myself a bit, and Fluttershy who quickly shut up. "We're wasting daylight." I added more calmly.
I don't remember the last time I saw sunlight. Me and Fluttershy were completely lost and she just couldn't fly up to see where we were. Every time she tried her wings would tense up from fright. So here we were, crawling over branches, fighting through weeds, hiding from every monster we came across.
Not to mention how hungry we were. Luckily Fluttershy knew what mushrooms, berries, and leaves were good and which were poison. 80% were poison. All I could hear was our bellies rumbling. Not to mention lack of water and how stuffy it is in there. We were a mess, truly. I couldn't stand seeing Fluttershy going through this so nearly all my food went to her.
My magic was pretty useful at first, clearing paths, lighting torches, force fields from monsters, but eventually I had no energy left to use it. But we continued on, we fought through the weeds and monsters with whatever strength we could gather. I was proud of Fluttershy, she proved to be a great ally. We finally travailed so far we literally couldn't move. We were stuck on the ground.
"I'm sorry Fluttershy, this is all my fault. I shouldn't have pushed us to go any further." I admitted. I could barely turn my head to see her. She coughed a bit but tuned to see me. "It's not your fault Hidden. Who could have predicted this to happen. If it weren't for the tentacle beast we would be at the hill." She replied. "Who even cares for that hill, I just wanted us to get out of here." I said defeated.
I saw tears building in her eyes. "Is this it? Can we escape?" She asked. I struggled to move my leg but managed to grab her hoof for comfort. "Fluttershy, I promise you, you will get out of this. I will do anything I can." I said sincerely. I then thought of something I can't believe I didn't think of before. I focused any energy I had to my horn and finally got it working a bit.
I shot a flare into the sky. "Some pony has to see that." I said looking up and then back to her. I saw her tears begin to fall even more. "I-if we can get out, why are we on the ground like this." I knew what she was thinking, that we were in our death position. "We're just resting, catching our breath." I said wiping the tears from her eyes. I saw her eyes close and her breathing becoming steady.
Eventually I fell into the blackness.
I finally awoke. I could hear a voice but barely, I saw Fluttershy slowly waking, too. My vision and hearing returned to me and I recognized the voice. I looked up and saw Rarity relieved to see us waking up. "Thank goodness, you two are alright." She said. Rarity had a saddle bag on and I could see apples.
"Rarity, me and Flutters are starving, could we have an apple or two?" I asked desperately. "Of course." She gave us each to apples. I saw Fluttershy devour hers, I ate one and gave her the other. "To be honest I'v been lost for quite some time. Dash came back and got the others searching for you two and we split up and that's how I got lost." Rarity admitted.
"But luckily I saw a flare. So I went to it and saw you two on the ground fast asleep." She said. I could feel strength slowly return allowing me to get up, I saw Fluttershy try to get up. "No, no Fluttershy, conserve your energy." I said.
I used all my remaining magic to carefully levitate her on my back. She was pretty light but very soft. Like a blanket. I could feel her relax and she fell asleep, which was understandable, she had no energy. "Rarity, did you by any chance see a big hill?" I asked. She thought for a moment.
"Yes, yes I did actually. It was just over there." She said pointing in a direction I couldn't identify. "Why?" "Because that's where we're headed, come on." I said as the three of us went on. Even with my advanced evolution resistance I was really worn down. Every stride was like hauling an anchor. But we went on.
Rarity was complaining how filthy the whole place was but it was a stinking forest! "You know Hidden, I don't see why Twilight fears you so much." Rarity said. I refocused. "What do you mean?" "I mean that she thinks your a dangerous being that wants to destroy harmony." She replied.
I chuckled. "Am I really that bad of a pony?" "Well, she said you became very aggressive when she talked about it." She continued. "I don't know how to control my magic that much you know." I said. "Well, she doesn't believe you, you seem very advanced with it, I think you are, too." Rarity stated. I climbed over a fallen tree and Rarity followed.
"I guess I'm a natural. I never used magic before, never even knew it existed." I admitted. I wasn't thinking straight so I accidentally let that truth go. Rarity looked at me questioningly. "But...you're a unicorn. How would you not know of magic?" "Where I come from unicorns don't know of magic." I made up. Rarity seemed to understand it.
"I see, the ruler of your land doesn't want any pony knowing of magic." I shrugged and we moved on. "Anyways. Like I was saying, I don't see how you could be hostile. You're a very nice stallion." She complimented. "How do you figure?" She gestured to Fluttershy peacefully sleeping on my back. I nod.
"By the way Hidden,anything going on between you and Rainbow Dash?" Rarity asked. I felt flustered for a moment but recovered. "You mean of friendship?" I asked hiding my face because I could feel my cheeks heat up. "A little more." Rarity pushed. "I...duh. Nothing. My relations with Dash are just as any friend." I tripped over my words. How did Rarity get me like this? Kram could never do this!
"She seemed pretty upset about what had happened." Rarity said. I really didn't want to talk about it. "Uh...look, the hill!" I said noticing the hill come into view. I could barely see it, the tree line was far too dense, all I saw was the bottom. I heard Rarity mumble something behind me. I then noticed a little stream. I quickly nudged Fluttershy awake.
She slowly yawned. "Fluttershy, look, water!" I said. She practically teleported to the water. I joined her and we drank up. The water was a little dirt and some sort of algae was sticking to the roof of my mouth but I didn't care. It's water! "Uh...guys?" I heard Rarity say behind me. But I continued drinking.
"I have some water you know. Clean water."
It's almost to the present. My adventure in the land of Equestria is almost up to the point I am now. The point of where my death is a finger movement away...
Me, Rarity, and Fluttershy were climbing the large hill, determined to reach the top. We were just passing the tree line so I could kind of see the top. There seemed to be tons of iron ore up there which is unusual. My hooves were aching, I thought the ground was bad, traveling up hill is awful and Rarity would not shut up about it! I could understand her frustrations as we climbed the steep hill.
Ah, My good friend Hidden Blade, or Edward or Mark or whoever the crap you are! 'Calm down, why are you all heated up?' You annoy me you little creature! 'What are you talking about? I did your dumb chores, even though they barely are-' Shut up! You're trying to escape! 'No way.' Why don't you stay, pull up a chair and watch the sun sets while you smooch your blue partner and run away from the villain.
'Because that's stupid.' Your stupid. You've never been happier. 'I have been happier. Look, I enjoy this place very much, and that's why I must leave.' So you'd rather doom your world then here? 'No, your not getting it. I can defeat Kram in my world but I can't here, even with the element things.' You doubt them? 'Doubt what?' Your friends, the elements! 'Well... come on! No you come on! Listen up you idiot! 'Wow buster! I've probably accomplished more than you have, probably more than the whole pony race and the human race!'
Your not street smart though. Listen, this experience is a great thing, you need to know what it is like to be normal. 'Because talking ponies are oh so normal.' No! Just listen! You can't do it all! You can't be everywhere at once running the show. 'Watch m-' You need more than allies, you need friends.
"Why!?" I yelled out. "What?' Fluttershy asked. I shook my head. I was almost in a trance where I was just walking. I looked back at Fluttershy who was looking at me concerned. "Nothing, just, uh, memories." I lied. The voice was gone, I have no idea wha it was getting at, I don't even know who it is!
"Hurry up, we're almost up!" Rarity said who was actually ahead of us. We trotted up to meet the top and finally we were there. I saw over the whole Everfree and in fact Ponyville wasn't that far away. "Hidden, we made it. There's the iron." Rarity said gesturing to a rock wall behind me shining with ores.
Before I had a chance to do anything we heard another voice. "I told you they'd be up here." We looked over and saw Spike, Applejack and Rainbow Dash. "Guys, you're alright!" Dash said at the sight of us. She flew down beside me.
"Let me guess you looked after them." Dash said. "Actually, it was a shared effort." I admitted. "Where's Pinkie and Twi?" Rarity asked Applejack. "They went their own way, don't know what happened there." She replied. "Well Hidden how we going to get the ore?" Fluttershy asked.
"I'll use me magic." I replied. I focused on cutting out the ore. But then my focus was broken by a deadly voice. "Target has been located. Mark Ray. Objective: Elimination." I quickly jetted around and we were greeted by Kramton climbing the side of the hill. "What did he just call you?" Spike asked. "H-how?" Is all I managed
The robot then turned and looked at Applejack who was taking a defensive position. "Species: Pony. Has damaged me before. If you try again you will be killed." It threatened. I walked up to him. "How do you know I'm Mark Ray, what if I'm just another pony?" "Your name's not Hidden Blade?" Dash asked. I ignored. "Your outer fabrication does not hide your inner DNA." It replied. "What's it talking about?" Applejack asked.
I was digging my own grave by asking these questions. The robot back handed me into the rock. "Hey!" Fluttershy yelled. "You big meanie quit-" She was cut off when the robot clutched her in it's fist. "You hunk of junk!" Spike yelled throwing rocks at it. It picked up Spike as well. "You rude animals need to be taught a lesson." The robot stated.
Dash then rammed it and it almost lost its footing. But Rainbow was hurt more in the collision than anything. Applejack then bucked it and it dropped Fluttershy and Spike who ran and hid. Rarity ran over to me. "I don't care what the robot is saying about you, but what do we do?" She asked. "Dodge!' I yelled as me and Rarity jumped out of it's fist punching, it got stuck in the hull. I then Charged up my horn with any remained magic and blasted extreme heat into it.
In retaliation it ripped it's hand from the wall. I then started hearing a cracking noise. "Wait a second." I looked over and sat the hill top crack and then crumble. "Everybody, er pony. Run!" I yelled as giant chunks of rock began rolling down to us. We began running to the edge but Kramton was there.
"Running is-" It was cut off by a pink blur go flying into its face causing the robot to fall. The pink blur revealed itself to be Pinkie Pie. Way to go Pinkie!" Applejack cheered. The rocks began rolling by and we were barely dodging until many of them were wrapped in a purple aura. "Over here!" Twilight yelled from seemingly safe point. She was obviously struggling under the weight of the rocks.
Using literally all my remaining power to help her hold back the rocks, the others managed to get over there. I started walking there but my head was going fuzzy and I could barely move. I think I used to much magic. I had to let go of the rocks. So I did, but Twilight wasn't ready so some pulled from her grasp and hit the others and rocks were sent everywhere.
I jumped out of the way of one as another just missed me. "Twilight, get the out of here!" I yelled. She began focusing her magic on I guess teleporting them. But, like a bowling pin, I was hit and sent flying through the air. Pain was ripping through me as the impact had been factored in. I couldn't move my legs and I missed the ledge and started falling to the forest below. I heard Dash yelled 'No!' and a purple beam flash meaning they teleported.
I can usually think fast but nothing was going through my mind. Just... nothing... But I saw a flash of blue and rainbow come over me and the ground began leaving me. I turned to my rescuer and it was Rainbow. She must have escaped the teleport. "You alright?" She asked. It took me a second to reply. "Yeah...now I am at least." We flew for a few silent seconds before Dash spoke.
"Now what, the iron ore has fallen some where in the everfree." "Screw it." I said. I had no back up plan now, my mind was blank. I could care less about going home or even about Kram. I had put my friends in danger, and that is not cool. "Dash, sorry about all this, it's not worth it. I'm not going to try this again." I said. "What do you mean?" She asked looking into my eyes as we were leaving the everfree.
I was bout to answer but then I heard an oddly familiar voice. "This is for thinking I was evil." I looked up and saw the grey, cross eyes mare from, I don't even remember! But she stomped on the stormy looking cloud. Dash looked over. "Wait, Derpy no!" She yelled but it was too late, a golden lightning beam shot out and hit Dash which sent the blast through me.
It was all fuzzy, all I remember was falling and then blacking out for moment.
My body was so numb when I woke up. My vision was pure white and all I could hear was a buzzing sound. But eventually, I could see and hear and I saw Twilight standing near me with an angry expression, I saw the test have surprised or disgusted faces. At first I had no idea what was wrong. I figured they would be asking if I was okay.
"What?" I asked casually as they were all staring at me. I then realized my voice was higher. My body lost the numbing and I felt everything. "Wait." I said as I lifted up my hooves. But they were hands, with five fingers each. I wiggled them and stretched them. I was human again but how. Wait, my watch, the last command I put on it was to change me back, and it just got powered!
"Hidden!" Twilight yelled at me. I jumped up and wobbled a bit, I was just getting used to hooves. I also was considerably taller than the others at my fully height. "Y-your the creature from th-the book." Dash said backing away with the others. "You're deception." Twilight yelled pointing a hoof at me.
I put my hands up for defense. "Wait, guys. I...I can explain." I started. "Blade why?" Spike said hiding behind Twilight. "Guys, I-" I was cut off by the worst voice I could ever hear. "am a lying, cheap, low life, selfish, abusive, pathetic human. You would be correct Mark, or should I call you Hidden Blade. It seems that's what you got them believing." I knew that voice and holy cow it made me mad.
