Vamponies are everywhere....and these ones want Twilight

BASED ON "THE LOST BOYS" & "THE LOST BOYS: THE TRIBE"

Vamponies have plagued Equestria for years. When Shining Armor is transferred over the Ponyville guard, Twilight struggles to make new friends until a group of ponies headed by a rainbow-maned pegasus stumbles upon her. But when her new friends turn out to be hiding much darker secrets, is her sanity and mortal soul forfeit, or can she be saved with the help of two very unlikely "stakes for hire"?

The Mythology of Vamponies

To fully understand the world of the vampony, one must fully comprehend the history and mythology of Cadaver Sanguisugis Pullanus.

In the earliest parts of the Celestial Rule, following the great Nightmare Night battle between Celestia and Nightmare Moon, a small town on the outskirts of the Everfree Forest fell to a plague. Every night, villagers claimed that the fallen victims of the battles would rise from their graves and terrorize the townsfolk. Some reports indicated that several former lunar guards would roam the town at night and attack virgin mares in their rooms, leaving a bloodless and violated corpse laying in their beds. The villagers reported that to keep their children and women safe at night, they would leave piles of sand in front of their doors and windows, believing the creatures could not enter until they had counted every single grain.

A meer 70 years later, reports of walking corpses began to spread through the capital city of Canterlot. Several royal guards were found in the early morning of each Sunday impalled on the spires of the palace, several fang punctures located on their necks and limbs. This time, the attacks were on the stallion guards and did not seem to reflect guard status or sexual status. Many of the guards began spreading rumors that a slate grey pegasus with glowing red eyes would sneek into the barracks every night and select a victim. She was then said to remove the body until she would impale it on the spires of the royal palace. Princess Celestia had no comment on any of the deaths or the manor of deaths. This lasted for a total of 6 and a half months.

The next reports of aledged vampony attacks did not appear until the 560th year of the Celestial rule when a group of strange looking ponies came into the small town of Hoofington. The travelers stayed in the town for a total of 6 days. By the 7th day, reports of deaths stopped coming from the royal guard station in Hoofington, along with any outgoing mail and telegraphs. Several days later, a group of guards ventured into Hoofington to find all of the townsfolk either missing or dead with their limbs severed and their throats torn out. Celestia also did not comment on the manner of the deaths, but was rumored to have passed a law that allowed the guards to search anypony that was suspected to be behind these crimes, which had by then been given the term Vampony Stop & Searches. To this day, Hoofington remains a ghost town.

Before recent times, the last reports of any vampony attacks came from Cloudsdale in the 899th year of the Celestial rule. Several ponies were found dead in an abandoned warehouse in the Storm Storage Facility section of the Cloudsdale Weather Factory. The prime suspect in the murders was a rainbow maned filly that had been born 6 years prior. After a strenuous 3 year investigation, the filly was found Not Guilty by the Equestrian Royal Court. The murders, in which the victims had all died of extreme blood loss from multiple wounds to the bodies, were deemed to be a random act of violence. The only thing about the deaths that have baffled experts was the fact the several of the stallions who died had lost nearly 90% of their blood, which was not found at the crime scene. There are currently no records indicating where the suspected filly is and no death ledger was filed at any office in Equestria or any of the outlying nations.

Today, there have been several reports of ponies who have gone missing in and around the Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and Canterlot areas. Extreme amounts of blood where found around the last known location of all the missing ponies except for several that had disappeared around the Ponyville area, most of which have not been found to the time of this report. Two of these reports included a well known fasion designer and her sister, who lived in downtown Ponyville. Nearly all of the missing pony reports have been listed in the more recent months as recovery operations instead of search and rescue. The most recent reports have included three royal guards, two of which who where found three days later dead in a ravine deep within the Everfree Forest. The other guard was found 64 miles to the northwest of Baltimare, wandering around the Hoofington area. He is currently residing in the mental care unit of Canterlot Royal Hospital, suffering from extreme paranoia and schizophrenia.

The true question about the vampony that one must ask themselves is: Are they fact or fiction? Can the dead rise from the grave, drink the blood of their victims and return at night? Do things such as holy water, wooden stakes, piles of sand, garlic, and invitation really kill a vampony? Are these old mares tales that mothers use to keep adventurous fillies close to home, or are they something even more sinister and seductive than we can imagine.

In my opinion....the question remains unanswered.

~Twilight Sparkle

Twilight set down her feather quill, the desk in front of her littered with several books, a few rolls of parchment, and several empty ink pots scattered across the cherry wood surface. She had just spent the last several hours researching the topic Princess Celestia had assigned her small Equestrian Mythology class for their Nightmare Night projects. She had been lucky enough to have gotten to research a topic she has had some familiarity with the Vampony. She had been a fan of the Starlight Saga since it came out three years ago, but she was not so happy to find that Equestria's most historical Vamponies where not as sparkly and a lot more....bloody. It was kind of refreshing to see that she would not be going as Starlight Sawn for Nightmare Night, as per the assignment they have to dress as one of the creatures they researched.

She glanced over at the clock on the wall, the hands reading that it was a few seconds past 2:30 a.m. She rubbed her eyes as she began to levitate her books back over to their appropriate shelves, the royal library more empty than it usually was. The only other hint of life in the entire room was a tall white alicorn that stood silently in the darkness just out of view of the lavender unicorn that was still clearing her work space. Her normally beautiful amethyst eyes where dark set and nearly ruby red.

Soon, Twilight. You barely have an idea of what this assignment will truly mean to you, but soon...you will know why.

You will know fear.

The small rundown shack that was situated on the edge of the Everfree Forest was silent. The rusty tin roof and creaky wooden supports not even making a creak in the silent night air. On the roof stood a few large antennas, a large brick chimney and a two stark white mares that sat in silence on the edge of the room. In the sky above, the moon started to come into a better view from behind the thick fog that seeped out from the darkest recesses of the forest. The large silver orb reflecting it glow off of the ruby red eyes of the two mares.

"I say it's almost time we get some food, now isn't it Vinyl?" The white pegasus mare with a large bright yellow mane said in a flat yet excited voice as she slowly stood, her shifting weight causing the tin roof to pop loudly, the sound echoing far into the night.

"We aren't going to get any food if you wake up the damn town, Surprise!" Vinyl, the white unicorn mare with the dual toned blue mane, snapped in a silent yell. Her horn glowed as the two flashed down to the ground in a quick burst of black smoke. " I swear, if we miss another meal because of you...I'll kick your flank!"

"Ahh, lighten up Vinyl! It's almost time to start the party!"

Vinyl smacked her hoof to her face. "You've been hanging out way to much with Pinkie Pie at night."

"Well SOOOORRRRYYY! I can't help it if her cupcakes tastes really good!"

"You will if they find your body in a ditch dead from a sugar rush. Also, don't you think it is weird how she likes to rut any pony that buys her wears long enough. It just seemed to me that she just wants to buck any pony she gives a cupcake too." Vinyl asked as she lowered her deep purple shades over her eyes.

"Hey, you did the same thing the first time you met Octavia. How is she anyways, after you beat her face in with bottle of AJD?"

Vinyl slammed Surprise up against a tree. "I TOLD YOU NEVER TO SPEAK OF THAT AGAIN! That was an accident....a drunken mistake that I never wanted to happen. I wanted to die after that night....just seeing her...laying there....drowning in her own blood. I just......look it doesn't matter ok! She's gone and I don't know where she is....or if she could ever forgive me."

Surprise started to chuckle, her usually light and airy voice becoming a little more soft spoken and a good bit deeper. "Well Vinyl, I haven't forgiven you yet."

"H-hey, cut that out Surprise. That's not funny!"

"You're right Vinyl...It isn't funny." With a small push, Surprise sent Vinyl flying back several feet, several of her bones breaking from the sheer force of the impact. Surprise walked forward and started to wipe her hoof across her mane and face. Her large, curly yellow mane fell off revealing a long, sleek dark brown one beneath it. Her pale white coat began to smear, a layer of light grey fur beginning to show through as she stepped into the shadow of the tree. Her eyes began glowing an even deeper shade of red as she stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight. All traces of who she was were gone, and only a beautiful grey mare stood in her place. Her cutie mark, a treble clef shimmered in a metallic red color that matched her still glowing irises. A large scar stretched down the front of her face. "Why, Vinyl. Why did you hurt me?"

Vinyl could barely move, her hoof and at least two ribs broken from her impact with the ground. She was, however, able to look up at the mare that stood above her. Her eyes went wide, tears of pain and sorrow dripping down her cheeks. "O-octy...I didn't mean...mean to....it was an...an accident...."

"That's right, Vinyl!" Octavia cooed as she placed her hoof onto Vinyl's chest and pressed down, several more of Vinyl's ribs shattering. The mare let out a primal scream as the hoof dug deeper into her chest and bone began to splinter even further, several jagged edges piercing through her skin and jutting outward like the thorns of a rose. The fur around the wounds began to stain with her blood as Octavia pulled her hoof away. "I'm so sorry, Vinyl. It was an accident...i didn't mean to!" She laughed as she stomped her hoof into Vinyl's chest once more.

Vinyl was in the most excruciating pain of her life, but her emotions were in an even worse state. Between the pain from her chest as she began to choke on her own blood as it filled her lungs and the tears in her eyes, she could barely make out where Octavia was. She could feel the strength draining from her body as she lay back against the cool grass, now wet with her blood and stared blankly into the night sky. "I...I'm sorry....sorry....Octavia...please...forgive..."

Octavia picked up the mare, bringing her to eye level as her hoof raised above Vinyl's head, the other held tight to her Vinyl's throat. "I don't forgive you, Vinyl Scratch!" She brought her hoof down onto Vinyl's head, her skull cracking like an egg as blood erupted from her shattered cranium. Octavia latched her mouth over the area, two large fangs digging deep into Vinyl's brain as she drained every drop of un spilled blood from the mare's body. Vinyl was alive for a few long seconds after the mare she once called friend sank her fangs into her head. She would have cried if she could, yelled if she could....she would have given Octavia a final hug if she could have, but she couldn't. All she could sit there and do was feel every bit of life, happiness, and will being drained out of her.

Octavia released her grip on the mare after she expelled her last breath, and barely made out her name as the body fell to the ground. She flipped Vinyl's corpse over with the edge of her hoof and planted a kiss onto the dead mare's lips. "Now, I forgive you..."

As she began to walk of towards the forest, two figures appeared, one from the tree behind Octavia and one from the shack in front of her. She looked at the first figure. It was a shorter, light grey pegasus with a long blonde mane. The scent of fresh baked muffins had taken to the air around her. She quickly turned to the second figure, a light pink earth pony with a large curly mane. In her hooves she held a large wooden stake and a small squirt gun. Around her neck hung a small crucifix with several large cloves of garlic strung on it's silver chain. Her eyes narrowed as the earth pony approached her.

"Well, how is this going to play out, Pinkie?" Octavia said with a growl as her stance tensed up and her fangs bared. "You expect me to just go quietly?"

"Well that depends, Octy. Do you want to do this the easy way or should we make a party out of this!" Pinkie said as her mane flattened against her body, the large curls fading into long, straight strands. "Maybe we can use your guts as streamers."

"Pinkie, that sounds disgusting." The grey pegasus spoke up, her large blonde eyes darting around and never following the same path as the other. "Please don't do that."

"It's just a joke, Derpy." Pinkie turned her attention back to the mare in front of her. "Have you made up your mind, Octavia?"

Octavia grinned and started laughing. "Ahh, Pinkie. I could really see you coming out here and trying to kill me, but why bring Derpy? Isn't that just a little bit of a joke!"

Octavia turned around and came face to face with the business end of a sharpened wooden plank. Derpy stared into Octavia's eyes, her eyebrows lowered in anger. "Don't think I won't drive this thing into your skull. I don't want to do that...but I will. Damn bloodsucker!"

Octavia was shocked. She had expected this kind of attitude from Pinkie, but never expected it from some pony like Derpy. She backed off just a bit. "Look's like we are going to do this the hard way I suppose." She looked up to the sky. Her eyes changed from red to black as she took to the air, her body contorting into a more vicious state as she dived down at Pinkie.

Pinkie jumped away and aimed the water gun at her, a stream of liquid springing forth and striking Octavia down her side. She screamed in agony as she lost control and slammed into the ground. She rolled around screaming as loud as she could, the line of liquid melting the flesh it touched.

Pinkie ran over to her, the wooden stake raised above her head as she pounced on the mare, ready to strike. Octavia tried to sit up and lash out at the earth pony that sat on her chest.

Pinkie glared. "I bucking hate you bloodsuckers." She brought the stake down into Octavia's heart, blood erupting from the wound as her flesh began to dissolve. Pinkie jumped off of the vamponies writhing body as her blood caught fire and her form crumpled like a ball of paper.

Derpy walked over to Pinkie, both of them staring down at the smoldering remains of the mare that had once been both of their friends. Derpy looked over to Pinkie. "I-is that what it is always going to be like."

"Only with the ones you care about, Derpy. " Pinkie looked at her as she walked over to Vinyl's remains. "As far as the way they die, it depends. No two bloodsuckers go out the same way. Some scream, some go quietly. Some explode, some implode, but all will try to take you with them Derpy. Octavia was an exception, I think she had some compassion left in her body."

Derpy looked down and followed Pinkie over to the unicorn's remains. "Poor Vinyl..."

Pinkie nodded silently and lit a match. "Ashes to ashes...dust to dust." She tossed the match onto the mares body and watched as it caught fire.

Nearly a mile away, at the top of a very large tree, a rainbow-manned mare stood silently on a large branch and overlooked the two mares as the body burned.

Pinkie.....why did it have to be you.....it doesn't matter....this means war.

Dead Mares Don't Die

View Online

Rainbow Dash was pissed off. There was no other way of putting it, she was pissed off. The night had not been a good one to say the least. The town had been catching onto the disappearances and a curfew had been put into place. No one was allowed outside thirty minutes before sundown and for twenty minutes after sunrise. And to top it all off she just watched two of her old friends kill one of her family. Even as she sat there watching it happen, Rainbow couldn't believe her eyes. She only knew that, even if they were old friends, they fucked with the wrong clan.

They had to die.

Rainbow looked up to the sky, her eyes turning black as she took off into the night. She flew high above the town in a contorted and twisted mess as she scanned for anything she could bring back for food. She looked all over town, trying to find even the slightest hint that someone was out and about. The sound of a rock being kicked, the sound of hooves on cobblestone, even a door closing would be better than this silence.

Ding

Rainbow looked down and smiled at the best thing she had seen all night. A stallion, trying to be sneaky as he walked out of a store, was staring in fear a the bell that had just gone off as the door closed. Rainbow could smell him from her position in the sky, her nose picking up on every little scent. The sweat dripping down his neck, his heart pumping his blood as it ran cold, even the juices of a mare in heat on his underbelly. She could smell it all..

...and it was fucking delicious.

She reformed from her contorted form as she dived down into an alleyway. Her eyes changed back to their normal magenta as he walked out and around the corner. She smirked as she ran up behind him and growled loudly.

The stallion fell over frozen as Rainbow burst into laughter. He looked up at her and scowled. "Celestia damn it! What the fuck was that for?"

"Shouldn't be out this late Ball Sack. There are dangerous ponies around."

"How many times must I tell you my name is Ruck Sack, you crazy bitch. Ruck. Sack." He quietly yelled as he stood up. "Plus it's none of your business to inquire as to why I'm out this late."

"Oh really?" She said in a slightly seductive tone as he approached him. "Old boss man catch you with his daughter?"

He quickly tensed up as she continued her approach. "I have no idea what you are talking about."

"Oh really?" She asked as she sniffed near his neck. "Then you must be the bitch in heat, eh Fuck Sack."

"I told you my name is Ruck you bitc-" He said before being cut off by a shard right hook to the face, yelping as his head hit the gravel road beneath him.

"You know, if it wasn't for that little fucking mouth of yours, I might have made your death pleasant." She said as she circled around him, taking a moment to kick him in the balls. His screams filled the air as he felt the things that made him a stallion be torn away and destroyed by her powerful kick. "But you had to go and piss me off even more, and now look at who is the bitch really is."

She knelled down and pressed her hoof into the place where his stallionhood once rested, eliciting more screams as blood poured forth and his pelvis shattered. She pulled away her hoof and laughed."Look, the bitch is already wet!"

Ruck knew this wasn't the Rainbow Dash he was used to. Everything about her seemed to have changed. Her eyes were blood red, her face horrifying to even look at. Even her cutie mark, the one thing he could have used to identify her, was nothing but a shimmering red silhouette of it's former self.

He barely had a moment to scream before he felt her jagged teeth sink deep into the place where his dick had been, more blood pouring out of it as his vision began to fade.

"Dirty little whore." Dash laughed before ripping away the entire chunk of flesh and gulping down the succulent red liquid that poured forth. She gripped his thighs as she drank, her hooves easily snapping bone as she pushed outwards on his legs. All it took was a quick flick of her hooves to rip his legs clean off, and she laughed as the last bit of his blood poured from his now still body. "That'll teach you to call me a bitch, hope you burn it hell you little fucker."

She picked up the scattered parts of his body and took off into the sky, her contorted and twisted form racing through the darkness. Rainbow was at least happy that she had a pretty full belly as she flew, not so much that she had a heavy stallion corpse on her back.

She flew for what seemed like hours before she touched down in front of a small cave deep in the Everfree Forest. Perfectly secluded and to far out of the reach of normal civilization for them to ever be caught. She walked inside, dropping the stallion's corpse on the floor beside a fire. She screamed into the darkness. "Any one of you fuckers home!"

"Yeah, just quit yer yelling sugarcube." An orange mare said as she dropped down from the ceiling of the cave, followed in quick succession by two white unicorns, an orange pegasus, and a yellow pegasus.

The eldest of the white mares looked around. "Rainbow, where the hell is Octavia?"

Rainbow looked over to her. "Octavia's dead. Pinkie and Derpy got her after she killed Vinyl."

"They did what!" She gasped in surprise."I would never have thought Pinkie would be a killer, let alone Derpy being one too."

"It doesn't matter what we thought about them. They fucked with us and we are going to make them pay girls." Rainbow said between grinding fangs. She looked over to the orange mare and squinted. "You got a problem with that, Applejack?"

"Yeah, yes ah do." She said taking off her hat . "Ah just don't think it's right tah kill friends or family."

"She isn't our friend anymore! She is nothing but a murderous bitch, same goes with Derpy. I don't care about them anymore. They kill us, we kill everything they knew and loved."

"Yeah! You tell'em Dash! Kill them all!" The orange pegasus piped up.

"Scoots has the right idea. Rarity...Sweetie....Flutters.... any of you guys in?"

Rarity looked down and sighed."They may have been our friends once, but your right Dash. They have gone way to far."

"That's the spirit." Rainbow said looking over at Sweetie Belle and Fluttershy. "You two in or out."

Fluttershy looked at Dash with a heartbroken frown, her face and presence not carrying the same air of bloodthirsty lust that all but her and Sweetie carried. She sighed and shook her head, not even giving Rainbow the respect of a spoken answer. Sweetie did the same, receiving a harsh look from her older sister.

Rainbow glared and gave a annoyed hiss. "Fine, be that way. Four of us should be enough to take out these two wannabe hunters."

"Yes, but let us retire for the evening. The sun should be up any moment and my skin gets positively blistery in the light." Rarity complained as she took her position back at the top of the cave.

"Yeah, I need to calm the fuck down anyways." Rainbow said as she looked over at Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle. "You two take the bed tonight, and seriously think about where your loyalties lie."

Fluttershy and Sweetie turned around and walked over to a king sized bed that sat unused in the corner. The two had become accustomed to sleeping here occasionally, and having some company helped them fight the urge to drink their first victims dry. Rainbow sighed as she looked at the two blood virgins and took her spot on the ceiling right next to Applejack and Scootaloo.

Gonna be another long, sleepless fucking day.
