Hey guys, I know I haven't uploaded any writing in a long time, but don't worry, I'm still alive and have actually started writing again. What this journal is about though is new project I have. So, because I'm lazy, here's the post I recently made on reddit about the project.

**Disclaimer: This thread blog post is not about what ships are best/better than others, it is about finding the good and the bad in all of them.**

I was recently discussing my favourite mane6 ships with a friend of mine and while on the topic I brought up how I don't see much of some of these ships. The ship that sparked this was TwiJack (or however you prefer to write it), which I don't think I've read a single fic for. Now, to be fair, I've never gone out and looked a TwiJack fic, but I never went looking Salvation or Seeking Beauty because of them being ships I hadn't read before, but I found them and absolutely adore them.

This got me thinking about how all the other mane6 ships stacks up in terms of how much content there is for each of them. This isn't about rating, but more out of curiosity to see which get more attention. Obviously there are those that are traditionally very popular in the community, like RariJack and anything with Dash - they are not unanimously accepted as "good", but they are undeniably fairly popular ships.

Ever since reading Salvation and Seeking Beauty I've been of the belief that if a good writer has a solid premise and has well developed/realized characters, they can make most any ship work (note: I'm still not saying that it works 100% of the time). As such, I am open and willing to take a chance on just about any ship, assuming the writing is good.

I don't know if anyone else has done something to this effect, but I'm interested in doing it regardless:

**I want to break down and analyze the pros and cons of all the different mane6 ships.**

To help me get there, I'm reaching out to you, my fellow bronies, to help supply me with material to allow me get better acquainted with all these lovely ships. I will be going out to do research by myself, but it would be a greatly appreciated if others could help me along the way.

I'm mainly looking for well written fics to help me learn about the complexities of each of these ships, but I'd also be willing to accept general discussion on the ships or your/someone's headcannon on them.

The finished product will likely become a video series in which I go in as deep as I can to talk about each of these ships and why the can and can't work. Credits will go to anyone who helped me out, whether it's through linking me to a fic or discussing a ship with me, and to all the authors of the fics that I use as research material.

I'll be including even the ships that I already like and/or have some fics in mind for research material - this is because you can never have too much research material, and I want to do my best to see many different takes on these ships.
