009 Flashback: s01ep07 Dragonshy

Many great things have happened since my last Flashback.

Some of them are fanfic related, such as revising and rewriting my very first published story, Edge of Reason (from which I accidentally deleted all comments while I was rearranging chapters, fail), finishing Arcane Equilibrium with the biggest cliffhanger ever, or finding out that Mirrorless, a Rarity’s POV [dark][adventure] story got its own live read!

And there are those things that are not MLP related. I went to Rome for a week and veni, vidi, vici all over its monuments and interesting places, like the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain or Vatican Museums. I would probably cherish it even more, if the city wasn’t so awfully crowded! Seriously, people on people chasing people, everywhere. Crowd really kills the magic of ancient places, say, Roman Forum or the Pantheon. Not to mention that you have to tear through irritating street vendors trying to sell you umbrellas and raincoats every two steps – and just when a few drops fell from the mildly clouded sky. All in all, I wouldn’t really enjoy this kind of family-forced vacation if it weren’t for one of my best friends that had come with us.

Because friends can make any trip more interesting, and, to quote Twilight Sparkle herself, they can be an amazing source of strength, and can help you overcome even your greatest fears. Just like they did in today’s episode, Dragonshy! Let’s relive it once more.
