Life finds a way.
When Twilight Sparkle gets a letter from the head of the Royal Archaeological Society of Canterlot, Rarity's world is turned upside down. Soon the fashion-conscious unicorn finds herself barrel-deep in mud, bugs, sand, snow, angry natives, and mysterious magic, not to mention embroiled in ancient history and secret plots. The reluctant adventuress will soon discover things she never wished to know about the world beyond Equestria, starting with bull-headed explorers, political beaucracy and heading only downhill from there.
Will she make it out of this humid, icky, sticky situation head held high, or will she fall victim to jungle fever and weep for her lost fabulosity?

Well, to me it's like congratulating someone for leveling up in an mmo, someone did it once, now everyone does it on instinct.

Ha! Don't you worry about me.
College is finally over, which means I actually have time to write again. I just have to break the journalism habits I absorbed and are transferring into my prose
.
I've also never understood the need to thank people for favouriting one's work. You know that they know that you know they like your work. Thanks at that point seem unnecessary. I suppose formal recognition is nice, but I, personally, don't think it is warranted.
It's a shame I'm at the top of your page still, all the same thank you for another favorite Ford.
Forderz! Thank you for the lovely comment on my story My Little Marriage. Quite frankly yours stuck out the most and saying that it oozed with charm got my ephemeral goat to be sure.
I wanted to ask in greater detail if you could explain what you meant concerning it's issues though? It definitely has them it was self edited after all.
But I must repay you certainly for the kindness which you shown me, I'm not a man of riches nor power,
A situation to many that may seem dour.
A little rhyme instead I've written for you,
right here out of the blue.
Take please these humbles thanks for free
and if you ever need an editor you need only seek me!
Even I admit I'm mediocre,
I must profess my specialty is actually poker.
Thank you for the favorite on Colbert Report!
So any progress or news?

Egad and cripes, be careful! This sounds serious. Take it easy: I can't speak of your other readers, of course, but I won't abandon your writings anytime soon, I assure you. Deal with the work surge (hope it doesn't last much longer), as neglecting real life for ponies doesn't work out very well, trust me on this one. Although I have to admit, it certainly is fun, from a certain point of view...
And, you know, you're the author. You don't have to loiter on the Canterlot scenes if you don't want to. You could simply cut to a traveling scene anytime, should you choose so. But only if you aren't a half-zombie from overworking! Put aside the ponies while this work rush lasts, and don't give up, it's bound to end sooner or later! I guess...
>>20861 Unfortunately I've been blind-sided by unforeseen problems at work and home. At work we got, literally, the amount of fresh stock we normally get in a week every single day in a row. I'm making mad overtime bank (and avoiding overeating at lunch, gogo forced healthy choices!), but coming home pretty drained. I'm also busy doing some serious research and consideration on purchasing a multitude of solar panels and seeing if I can't get an installation licence to start hooking them up for people.
So when Friday rolled around and I had to decide between going over to a pal's and chillaxing or writing ponies, I picked the former. :(
I'm disappointed in myself for not sticking to my schedule, and I can only imagine the betrayal my shiny, eager-eyed readers must feel.
Train's pulling into the station for repairs, but will be back on track for Monday.
And FUCK Canterlot scenes feel like they're dragging, but that is, I hope, just me being impatient to get to the really awesome scenes that inspired me to write this thing. If I wasn't posting this online I could write the bits I really wanted to write first, but then I wouldn't have the added motivation of having readers like you poking at me to continue writing. All in all, I'm comfortable with the trade-off.
Why yes, I am fawning over Forderz!
Now Sir, I believe you had said you'd update your story yesterday. I am by no means an expert, but I do think yesterday passed without the slightest of updates. As the original chapter was promised to be released by Monday, I'm afraid I'm forced to draw the conclusion you have died or even worse, lost your interest in ponies. And that would be terrible.
Because being late with an update? Unheard of!
