AKA Cupcakes Nom! Writer and consultant for the official MLP:FIM Enterplay trading cards, founding staff member of BronyCon, retired EQD pre-reader, co-organizer of the Albany Bronies, and generally an okay sorta guy. Oh, and if you're wondering, my screen name predates the infamous fanfic!

TL;DR: Here's something new I wrote! It's dark and not precisely a "story," but it's only ~2000 words and it's new! Plus, if you're into the SCP then hopefully you'll really dig it!

Long version: Every once in a while some friends and I do a Secret Santa Prompt exchange thing, where we submit a prompt and get a random one back, which was actually where Zecora Does Ponyville came from.

Anyway, we did another one this week, and the prompt I received was on the "darker" side of the spectrum than I'm used to, and I almost wrote a parody of it... but instead I actually wrote something pretty darn dark, directly inspired by the SCP Foundation. If you're not familiar, it's a wiki run by creative folks who write fake containment procedures for fictional dangerous supernatural phenomenon, usually erring on the side of creepy and psychological/body horror. What I've written is essentially just such an article: a description of the "object," how to contain "it," and why "it" should be contained that way. There's definitely an entire story written between the lines, while being written in a bureaucratic form format.

Anyway, while a fan of SCP might get even more out of this creative jaunt than others, no previous experience with SCP materials are necessary to read "Scootaloo. Contain. Protect." Give it a shot, just be aware that it's the darkest thing I've ever written!

>>331240 I'm glad the episode was surprisingly good for you! That's the best kind of surprise. :D

Yeah, when I first watched the finale I felt like it was the finale of the entire series! I mean, it had all these feels, a clip show, ponies telling each other they love each other, Rainbow Dash and Applejack waving at the crowd almost as if they're waving goodbye to the camera, all those Derpy appearances, and most importantly the stuff with Twilight achieving her destiny that she unwittingly set out toward from the first episode...

Thank goodness we now know there's a season four incoming or there would have been some major panic this weekend. :derpyderp1:

Dear sir, you were right about the epic songs. What Daniel and M.A. did in this episode was outstanding. They literally saved the ep from being a major story-telling drag. :pinkiecrazy:

Seriously though, the musical pieces were out of this world.:yay:

However, for the life of me I can't imagine the writers rolling with the same cast after that episode. It was such a fitting end for an entertaining adventure. Unless they undo the princesshood somehow, there's virtually no way for Twilight to be staying in the library in Ponyville and learning friendship lessons now.

Well, they surely did wonders in the past, so they deserve the benefit of doubt, but I can't shake the feeling they've written themselves into a corner with this finale. :raritywink:

Unless S4 will be dubbed The Cutie Mark Chronicles Extended or something. :trollestia:

Celestia herself said other ponies will learn from Twilight from now on. :twilightoops:

Ummmmm...whatever happened to somepony to lean on?  I've been waiting a pretty long time for that to update.  Is there any chance you'll return to it?
